- Mega Rolls, Powerball Hits 271! This is The Lottery Rundown for Wednesday September 16th Mega Millions drew Tuesday night with 27, 36, 43, 57 and 58, plus Mega Ball 16. Nobody matched all six, so the jackpot rolls on. Both 43 and 58 repeated from the previous drawing, a double encore with very little respect for fresh casting. Do you think either one already has Friday booked? Mega Ball 16 also sits among the five most-drawn Mega Balls over the last six years, appearing 28 times. Friday’s jackpot is estimated at 244 million dollars, with a cash value of 103 million 500 thousand dollars. The jackpot has now gone 14 drawings and 49 days without a winner, but that is still a fairly ordinary wait by recent standards. Moving to Powerball, the last draw was Monday, September 14, with 19, 20, 57, 61 and 67, plus Powerball 22 and a 2X multiplier. Nobody hit the jackpot, but a lucky Ohio ticket holder won 2 million dollars, while a Georgia player collected 1 million dollars. White ball 61 remains among the most frequently drawn over the last six years, appearing 77 times. Tonight’s jackpot is estimated at 271 million dollars, with a cash value of 115 million 100 thousand dollars. That could buy a decommissioned ferry with a snack bar devoted entirely to tiny spoons. The run stands at 14 drawings and 33 days, still shorter than usual. Beyond the numbers, the anonymous Illinois ticket holder who won the August 12 Powerball jackpot has now claimed the 1 billion 40 million dollar prize, the second-largest lottery prize ever won in the state.
