- 0:01Speaker 1: But my point of this is over the years, I've
- 0:03Speaker 1: watched all these administrations, all these presidents, whether Democrat or Republican,
- 0:07Speaker 1: they didn't really seem to give a damn about spending
- 0:10Speaker 1: the money that they didn't have and causing a debt
- 0:12Speaker 1: and deficit. They just simply didn't care. And this idea
- 0:19Speaker 1: of pork being out there, it was like it just
- 0:23Speaker 1: kept growing and growing and continues to grow. And we
- 0:26Speaker 1: continue to have this huge debt and deficit, which we
- 0:28Speaker 1: strap future generations with. It is a damn shame that
- 0:31Speaker 1: our second biggest expense is just the interest on our debt.
- 0:36Speaker 1: We're not lowering the amount we owe. We're just paying
- 0:39Speaker 1: interest on it. The only thing that costs us more
- 0:42Speaker 1: than that is Social Security. Well, if interest rates go
- 0:48Speaker 1: up and we continue to go further in the hole,
- 0:50Speaker 1: it will be our number one expense. Well, at what
- 0:53Speaker 1: point do you lower the $ 40 trillion mark or stop
- 0:56Speaker 1: increasing it and lower it down and say we can't
- 1:00Speaker 1: afford to do any of this stuff anymore? We simply
- 1:05Speaker 1: can't afford it because economically we're going to destroy this country.
- 1:10Speaker 1: And it's well on its way. And it will affect
- 1:14Speaker 1: all of us. I don't give a damn if you're
- 1:15Speaker 1: Republican or Democrat or what you're invested in. And it
- 1:19Speaker 1: will be life-changing. But the reality was, as I was
- 1:30Speaker 1: saying yesterday, we never hold anybody accountable for anything. I
- 1:34Speaker 1: always hear the political talk, we're going to get to
- 1:36Speaker 1: the bottom of it. No one ever goes to jail.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Nobody ever pays a price. What about the politics of
- 1:42Speaker 1: the Russian hoax for three years? Anybody go to jail?
- 1:44Speaker 1: Anybody held accountable? What about Fauci and funding this COVID
- 1:51Speaker 1: crap in China and the lies that he told? Anybody
- 1:54Speaker 1: held accountable? Anybody going to jail? Other than the talk
- 1:58Speaker 1: of it and the pounding of the table, nothing ever happens.
- 2:02Speaker 1: What about the Epstein files? What about all of that craziness?
- 2:06Speaker 1: Anybody go to jail?
- 2:08Speaker 2: Nope.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Do I think anybody will?
- 2:12Speaker 3: Nope.
- 2:17Speaker 1: So I look around and it's just political bull crap.
- 2:20Speaker 1: We don't hold people accountable. They don't go to jail.
- 2:22Speaker 1: They get away with it. It has a big effect
- 2:25Speaker 1: on our whole country. double standard of justice when it
- 2:28Speaker 1: comes to the Epstein situation, political bull crap of holding
- 2:33Speaker 1: anybody accountable that puts this country through hell for three years,
- 2:37Speaker 1: trying to act like Russia influenced our election because they
- 2:40Speaker 1: hate Trump. And this is what I look when I
- 2:46Speaker 1: look around. So it doesn't matter Republican or Democrat. They
- 2:54Speaker 1: just don't, go after the people who should be going after,
- 2:58Speaker 1: and I don't care if they're Democrat or Republican, and
- 3:00Speaker 1: should go to jail with Epstein, with COVID. But think
- 3:05Speaker 1: how COVID changed everything for the worse. It was Fauci
- 3:09Speaker 1: and the funding and any people dying alone without their
- 3:12Speaker 1: family members around, lives that could have been saved with
- 3:15Speaker 1: ivermectin and hydrochloroquine. Was anybody held accountable for this?
- 3:20Speaker 4: No.
- 3:21Speaker 1: We were funding it. We were lied to. What's worse
- 3:26Speaker 1: than something like that? I can't think of much. But
- 3:36Speaker 1: we need to make sure he got a pardon. And
- 3:40Speaker 1: all of this diary comes out, his phone messages, and
- 3:43Speaker 1: basically he was spinning it and lying. But think about that.
- 3:47Speaker 1: So people would die alone in a hospital without their
- 3:51Speaker 1: loved one there to hold their hand or in a
- 3:52Speaker 1: nursing home. Or we could have maybe saved them with
- 3:56Speaker 1: ivermectin or something, but there was some type of agenda
- 3:59Speaker 1: going on here. How evil is that? And no one's
- 4:03Speaker 1: held accountable for it. And look what it did, how
- 4:07Speaker 1: it changed this country economically. Because from that, and then
- 4:14Speaker 1: from giving people all of this money, these government programs
- 4:18Speaker 1: have just started printing more money and handing it out.
- 4:20Speaker 1: And Joe Biden... And Trump and Biden and the Democrats
- 4:24Speaker 1: and Republicans and the government creating all of this inflation
- 4:28Speaker 1: by their monetary policies, which I never thought I'd see
- 4:32Speaker 1: in my lifetime. The old cartoon of where you got
- 4:35Speaker 1: a wheelbarrow full of money to buy a loaf of
- 4:37Speaker 1: bread is coming true. Because everything is so damn expensive,
- 4:43Speaker 1: it's hard to fix stuff. New cars, new trucks. <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>
- 5:01Speaker 1: Medical care, the cost per mile to fix a road.
- 5:06Speaker 1: We're all suffering from these damn policies and no one's
- 5:09Speaker 1: held accountable. Have you heard the news? The last chance
- 5:12Speaker 1: for Iran. Many countries wanted to give this a last chance.
- 5:16Speaker 1: This is the last chance. Rubio on that last chance.
- 5:18Speaker 2: There's been progress made in those talks, but not finality yet.
- 5:21Speaker 2: We're hoping that will happen very shortly.
- 5:23Speaker 1: There's good news. There are ships moving through the straits.
- 5:25Speaker 5: There's oil moving right now through the straits.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Todd Blanch's nomination for AG advances.
- 5:30Speaker 6: Todd Blanche is a very good man. And election tests
- 5:34Speaker 6: for socialists.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Democrat socialists. Check in often.
- 5:40Speaker 6: News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 5:45Speaker 3: A school teacher with Mad River Local Schools in Dayton
- 5:48Speaker 3: is now being indicted in connection with a child exploitation investigation.
- 5:52Speaker 3: 63-year-old John Stalkup is accused of sending inappropriate messages to
- 5:57Speaker 3: an undercover detective who he believed to be a 15-year-old girl.
- 6:01Speaker 3: There are unconfirmed reports of Haitian nationals being detained in Springfield.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Immigrant advocate Carl Ruby says he knows of 15 to
- 6:08Speaker 3: 20 people who have been taken into custody since temporary
- 6:11Speaker 3: protected status for Haitians ended last month. None of the
- 6:14Speaker 3: reported detentions have been confirmed by federal officials. An assistant
- 6:18Speaker 3: fire chief in Geauga County is being accused of stealing
- 6:21Speaker 3: more than $ 1 million from his community's volunteer fire department.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Richard Vandivander is facing multiple charges, including aggravated theft, for
- 6:29Speaker 3: allegedly stealing $ 1. 6 million over a three-and-a-half-year span.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I'm Andy Betts.
- 6:35Speaker 6: Listen on the free iHeartRadio app for all your music, news, talk,
- 6:39Speaker 6: and sports radio.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Podcasts, too. Download the app. Free never sounded so good.
- 6:45Speaker 1: A to Z dependable services. Plumbing.
- 6:48Speaker 6: Ron Verbner. On News Radio 570, WKBN. Back to it,
- 6:53Speaker 6: News Radio 570, WKBN, and Ron Verb. So you get
- 6:56Speaker 6: what I'm saying right before I take calls. I mean,
- 6:59Speaker 6: at some point you've got to sit around and say,
- 7:01Speaker 6: we've been failed by politicians, Republicans, and Democrats, presidents past
- 7:06Speaker 6: and present.
- 7:13Speaker 1: And it just keeps going on. No one's held accountable.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Debt keeps going up. Interest rate will be our number
- 7:20Speaker 1: one expense before too long. Keep giving money away to
- 7:24Speaker 1: all of this craziness. Look at the billions of dollars
- 7:27Speaker 1: spent on all these people that Biden led into this
- 7:30Speaker 1: country illegally instead of taking maybe some of that money
- 7:33Speaker 1: and dealing with the people that are already here that
- 7:36Speaker 1: are in need. These policies just don't make sense. And
- 7:46Speaker 1: yet they continue to go on and on and on.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I wish I could tell you that I'm optimistic that
- 7:50Speaker 1: they'll be dealt with or they'll be changed. They certainly
- 7:52Speaker 1: won't be in my lifetime. But I think there's something
- 7:56Speaker 1: terribly wrong of strapping future generations with these huge amount
- 8:00Speaker 1: of debt for money that's being spent today so foolishly.
- 8:04Speaker 1: When is there going to be any type of accountability?
- 8:07Speaker 1: And my point of all this, when a woman was
- 8:08Speaker 1: talking about her generation or any generation, I think all
- 8:12Speaker 1: generations are suffering as a result of this ridiculous inflation.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I don't care if you're retired, you couldn't anticipate this,
- 8:18Speaker 1: or you were close to retirement, you couldn't anticipate this.
- 8:21Speaker 1: And as a young person, I think it makes life
- 8:23Speaker 1: more difficult no matter what age category you're in, period.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I listen, like I said, to Clay and Buck. They're
- 8:30Speaker 1: so out of touch with reality. They're so skewed by
- 8:33Speaker 1: politics and this team mentality. They forget to realize the
- 8:37Speaker 1: consequences to these economic decisions and the effect that they
- 8:40Speaker 1: have on people. And I don't care how cocky you get.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Life can change in the blink of an eye for anybody.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I've said it before. I said it again. Each and
- 8:55Speaker 1: every one of you, you're one major illness away from bankruptcy.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I mean, it can bankrupt you in a blink of
- 9:00Speaker 1: an eye. We have plenty of people that simply by
- 9:07Speaker 1: getting sick and have to go to skilled nursing care
- 9:13Speaker 1: because of a stroke or getting sick, they lose all
- 9:15Speaker 1: their assets and they end up on Medicaid. Not Medicare, Medicaid.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Because they don't have anything left. Well, what are we
- 9:21Speaker 1: to do? The cost of medical care is so ridiculous.
- 9:32Speaker 1: The cost of nursing homes is ridiculous. The cost to
- 9:37Speaker 1: fix a mile of roadway with the cost of oil
- 9:39Speaker 1: and asphalt is out of control. This huge inflation has
- 9:48Speaker 1: affected everything. What it costs your community to buy a
- 9:51Speaker 1: fire truck or a new police car or to supply
- 9:55Speaker 1: benefits to their employees. or for your own company, to
- 10:00Speaker 1: survive with inflation paying these ridiculous electric bills and everything
- 10:09Speaker 1: else that's going on you're on here hello yes.
- 10:20Speaker 2: I'm calling about just what was going on about our military,
- 10:27Speaker 2: and especially our sailors out there. I'm hearing a lot
- 10:32Speaker 2: of stuff, a lot of propaganda. If you hadn't served
- 10:37Speaker 2: on a ship, you have no reason to say what
- 10:42Speaker 2: the conditions are aboard those ships.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Well, it's the people that are serving on a ship
- 10:47Speaker 1: that are saying those conditions.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Have you known the people? I know, say, I'm a
- 10:55Speaker 2: retired Navy.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Can you read? Have you read the news? Have you
- 10:58Speaker 1: read the stories?
- 10:59Speaker 2: I've read it. And I know aboard ship, people are
- 11:03Speaker 2: constantly griping about something. So these ships today are a
- 11:11Speaker 2: lot better than the ships I served on. I served
- 11:14Speaker 2: on some World War II destroyer. during my lifetime. We
- 11:19Speaker 2: didn't have air conditioning. We didn't have these things. But
- 11:25Speaker 2: all you guys are doing is giving comfort to the enemy.
- 11:31Speaker 2: By saying our sailors are jumping overboard, they're not getting
- 11:35Speaker 2: the right food, they're not getting all of this.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Well, don't you think we should address those problems? I'm
- 11:41Speaker 1: not saying it. They're saying it.
- 11:43Speaker 2: On a ship. I'm saying you're making problems that possibly
- 11:47Speaker 2: are not there. And you're giving comfort to the enemy.
- 11:52Speaker 1: I'm saying to you, the people on the ship are
- 11:55Speaker 1: saying this. Are you listening?
- 11:57Speaker 3: Yes.
- 11:58Speaker 2: I'm listening and I'm listening to the propaganda that you're
- 12:02Speaker 2: being fed.
- 12:04Speaker 1: From the people on this ship. Then why don't you
- 12:06Speaker 1: tell me, with this propaganda being fed, why are they
- 12:09Speaker 1: taking the Abraham Lincoln out of service, taking it back
- 12:12Speaker 1: to port after 256 days, and sending out the George Washington?
- 12:16Speaker 1: Tell me why that is.
- 12:17Speaker 2: The only reason they're taking it out is it should
- 12:21Speaker 2: come back to port for maintenance. You don't know a
- 12:24Speaker 2: damn thing about maintenance.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Well, you know what?
- 12:27Speaker 2: You don't know the work cycle on a ship.
- 12:30Speaker 1: You know what? Are you reading anything?
- 12:32Speaker 2: You should pray at night.
- 12:34Speaker 1: You know what?
- 12:34Speaker 2: For all those kids over there.
- 12:37Speaker 1: You are absolutely ignorant to what is going on in
- 12:41Speaker 1: these stories. This isn't my opinion. This is what is
- 12:46Speaker 1: coming out on the conditions on the ship. From food...
- 12:50Speaker 1: to breakdowns, to toiletry, to the people that are on
- 12:54Speaker 1: the ship, for Christ's sake. See you. You're on the air. Hello.
- 13:01Speaker 1: You're on the air. You want to speak or not?
- 13:07Speaker 1: You're on the air.
- 13:10Speaker 5: Ronnie.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Hey, where do I even start with this? All right.
- 13:17Speaker 4: You mentioned nursing homes, for one thing. And I just
- 13:20Speaker 4: want to give you a heads up. Nurse Bertha said
- 13:23Speaker 4: that they're thinking about increasing your sedative tonight because you're
- 13:28Speaker 4: a little bit wound up. So settle down.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Well, I am a little bit wound up.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Yes.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yes. All right.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Where were we? I don't know.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Where were we?
- 13:42Speaker 4: Where are we now, Ron?
- 13:44Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. You get this guy,
- 13:50Speaker 1: like this last guy that calls. It's like, are you
- 13:53Speaker 1: reading anything? I mean, he's acting like I pulled this
- 13:56Speaker 1: stuff out of my ass. As opposed to, do you see?
- 14:01Speaker 1: Why do you think they're taking that ship out of service?
- 14:04Speaker 1: The question should be, why was it in service so
- 14:06Speaker 1: long if it's got all these breakdowns and we've got
- 14:09Speaker 1: a problem with food and this kind of stuff? Isn't
- 14:11Speaker 1: that a fair question to ask? But he wants to say, well,
- 14:14Speaker 1: you know what? When I was there, by God, I
- 14:16Speaker 1: didn't even want to hear it.
- 14:19Speaker 2: All right.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Well, I mean, honestly, I believe it was– maybe it
- 14:24Speaker 4: was Frank that said that the longest time a ship
- 14:27Speaker 4: was in service was 79 days, and that was in
- 14:30Speaker 4: World War II. But, I mean, you've got to admit
- 14:33Speaker 4: that technology is way better now. We've got refrigerators, better
- 14:37Speaker 4: stockades of food for the ships. I'm sure they could be–
- 14:42Speaker 4: they're probably made that the, uh, the folks on board
- 14:46Speaker 4: could be on board for like at least a half
- 14:48Speaker 4: a year, but that would be stressful on the mind,
- 14:51Speaker 4: which is something we got to take care of. But
- 14:55Speaker 4: the woman that called in, um, she was talking about how, um,
- 15:00Speaker 4: the young people, they don't really get it. Like I
- 15:05Speaker 4: heard a report the other day that 70% of college educated, um,
- 15:12Speaker 4: people between, like, I don't know, 25 and 35 or whatever,
- 15:17Speaker 4: they believe that communism could work.
- 15:20Speaker 5: Okay?
- 15:21Speaker 4: And then I want to read you something, all right?
- 15:24Speaker 4: This is from Nikita Khrushchev, all right? He said, we
- 15:30Speaker 4: will take America without firing a shot. We will bury you.
- 15:37Speaker 4: We can't expect the American people to jump from capitalism
- 15:41Speaker 4: to communism without But we can assist their elected leaders
- 15:47Speaker 4: in giving them small doses of socialism until they awaken
- 15:52Speaker 4: one day to find that they have communism. We do
- 15:57Speaker 4: not have to invade the United States. We will destroy
- 16:01Speaker 4: you from within. This is a quote attributed to the
- 16:05Speaker 4: late Soviet premier, Nikita Khrushchev. And honestly... I'm sure that
- 16:13Speaker 4: they had agents in the last 50 years or whatever
- 16:18Speaker 4: getting into our education process, especially the colleges, the colleges
- 16:26Speaker 4: that teach the grade school teachers to be teachers.
- 16:32Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 16:33Speaker 4: It's just like a little bit at a time, they're
- 16:35Speaker 4: filtering all this stuff in, and can you believe 70%
- 16:38Speaker 4: of college... if you could believe the polls, but 70%
- 16:45Speaker 4: of people that went to college within the last, I
- 16:48Speaker 4: don't know, I can't remember the amount of years, but
- 16:51Speaker 4: they think that communism is a good thing. I think
- 16:56Speaker 4: that's what that woman was trying to get across, is
- 16:59Speaker 4: that they've been indoctrinated. Our younger children have been indoctrinated.
- 17:06Speaker 4: Don't get me started on the fact that they're being
- 17:09Speaker 4: influenced by computers and their phone 24 hours a day.
- 17:13Speaker 4: What do you think, Ronnie?
- 17:18Speaker 1: I think some people are probably very much fall into
- 17:24Speaker 1: that category that you mentioned. That's what I think. I mean,
- 17:30Speaker 1: communism doesn't work. Socialism doesn't work.
- 17:35Speaker 4: It Also, you mentioned that we're broke. Pretty much, I
- 17:42Speaker 4: think the rest of the world is broke, too. I mean,
- 17:45Speaker 4: Europe's in financial disaster. Japan, China, I don't know what
- 17:51Speaker 4: they're doing there. They got the slaves to feed their economy,
- 17:54Speaker 4: but they're losing people because they had the one-child policy,
- 17:59Speaker 4: and they only have males now.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:02Speaker 4: I mean, that's kind of a problem. I think the
- 18:04Speaker 4: whole world is in financial distress at this point. So
- 18:08Speaker 4: buy up your gold, Ron, or you know what? I'll
- 18:10Speaker 4: come help you dig it up out of your backyard.
- 18:13Speaker 4: But I get a 5% profit on that, though. Just
- 18:17Speaker 4: want to let you know.
- 18:18Speaker 1: All right. I'm on my way.
- 18:23Speaker 4: You started out with a flock camera, though.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Yes.
- 18:27Speaker 4: And I believe that they do good. Like you said,
- 18:31Speaker 4: the ring cameras have helped solve crimes. I got cameras
- 18:36Speaker 4: outside my house, you know.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Listen, I just think. The people that are making a
- 18:41Speaker 1: big deal out of flock hammers, we just got them.
- 18:44Speaker 1: They announced they were going to put them in Austintown Township.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I'm not the least bit worried about it. I'm not
- 18:48Speaker 1: paranoid about it. The police aren't interested in where I'm
- 18:53Speaker 1: going or what I'm doing. They're interested in some guy
- 18:55Speaker 1: that robbed a bank or somebody that just grabbed a kid.
- 18:58Speaker 1: And it's a great tool for... law enforcement to be
- 19:02Speaker 1: able to find that vehicle and save that child or
- 19:05Speaker 1: to find that criminal or to find a stolen car
- 19:09Speaker 1: or to deal with that kind of stuff. They have
- 19:12Speaker 1: them in Niles. They kind of have them in Austintown.
- 19:15Speaker 1: It's a tool. It's not something to fear. I don't
- 19:17Speaker 1: fear it at all. I think a lot of people
- 19:21Speaker 1: are more paranoid than they need to be thinking that
- 19:24Speaker 1: the government's that interested in them. It really isn't.
- 19:28Speaker 4: I've seen on YouTube that People go into a gun store,
- 19:32Speaker 4: and in the parking lot, there's like three of them
- 19:34Speaker 4: going on, which could work both ways. You know, if
- 19:37Speaker 4: somebody's trying to rob a gun store, obviously, you know.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Well, if you go into any store, if you go
- 19:43Speaker 1: into a supermarket or whatever, obviously, there are tons of cameras. Well,
- 19:47Speaker 1: why are there tons of cameras? Because they're... keeping an
- 19:50Speaker 1: eye on you because so many people are trying to
- 19:52Speaker 1: steal stuff. So you're on camera when you're in the store,
- 19:56Speaker 1: the grocery store. You're on camera when you're in a
- 19:58Speaker 1: parking lot. Most people have ring cameras that are going on.
- 20:03Speaker 1: And so police use flock cameras that we've seen the
- 20:07Speaker 1: effectiveness in Niles and stuff when you got stolen cars
- 20:10Speaker 1: or something going on along those lines, which can help
- 20:13Speaker 1: say this is where that car is right now. It's
- 20:16Speaker 1: just running the license plate of the vehicle. No different
- 20:19Speaker 1: if the cop's running it on his computer sitting behind
- 20:21Speaker 1: yet a traffic light.
- 20:24Speaker 4: As I understand it, they could actually, if the car
- 20:27Speaker 4: has like a dent in it or something, they could
- 20:29Speaker 4: still use that for further identification besides the license plate.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Well, listen. Well, what if this is abused? Anybody can
- 20:38Speaker 1: abuse anything. The Leeds computer and people have done that,
- 20:42Speaker 1: and they've been prosecuted as a result of it. And
- 20:45Speaker 1: if people in the police department abuse the flock camera
- 20:49Speaker 1: and are caught, and some have, and they too lose
- 20:52Speaker 1: their job and are prosecuted, as it should be the case.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Because it's there for law enforcement purposes. I think it's
- 20:59Speaker 1: an effective tool to keep your community safe. I'm not
- 21:04Speaker 1: paranoid about it at all. I really don't give a
- 21:07Speaker 1: damn if I drive in Austintown and a flock camera
- 21:10Speaker 1: takes a picture of my vehicle and license plate. I
- 21:13Speaker 1: don't think the cops are going and sitting around at
- 21:15Speaker 1: night going, hey, where do you think Ron went? He
- 21:17Speaker 1: went to Wendy's and then after Wendy's, he went down to,
- 21:21Speaker 1: let's see, where'd he go after that? He went from
- 21:24Speaker 1: Wendy's and he went down to his house and he
- 21:27Speaker 1: stayed there the rest of the night. Okay, meeting adjourned.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I don't think they care.
- 21:32Speaker 4: Here's a scenario for you. Okay, Ron Verb driving down
- 21:36Speaker 4: the road with the unknown caller in the front seat,
- 21:42Speaker 4: passenger seat, with a bag over his head. Clock camera
- 21:45Speaker 4: takes a picture.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Yes.
- 21:47Speaker 4: What do you think is going to happen.
- 21:48Speaker 1: There, right? I don't think they're going to care. They're
- 21:50Speaker 1: going to say that's Ron Verb with the unknown caller
- 21:52Speaker 1: going down the street. He's probably taking him to some
- 21:55Speaker 1: fleabag hotel where he's shacked up because he's homeless, right?
- 22:02Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely correct. One more quick point about Rich mentioned
- 22:08Speaker 4: it the other day, and you kind of brought it
- 22:10Speaker 4: up today with Frank and the Zionist Jews. But me
- 22:16Speaker 4: and the boys kind of made a game of it.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Every time that Frank mentioned Zionist Jews, then we would
- 22:23Speaker 4: have to take a shot. That's why I couldn't call
- 22:25Speaker 4: in yesterday, Ron. I was like half in the bag.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Oh, good. Well, I'll try to get him to say
- 22:30Speaker 1: it again so the drinking can continue. Hey, I got
- 22:33Speaker 1: to go. You're on the air.
- 22:36Speaker 7: Did he say he had to go? That's about time.
- 22:39Speaker 7: My ear was getting sore. But I want to talk
- 22:42Speaker 7: about the Zionists, but I want to talk about our
- 22:46Speaker 7: culture today. And I blame it all on our education
- 22:50Speaker 7: system for the last 50 years. Thank you, Teachers Union.
- 22:55Speaker 7: These kids are trained and indoctrinated. I swear to God,
- 22:59Speaker 7: they have to be. And the Chinese have figured out
- 23:03Speaker 7: how to get in the back door to destroy our culture.
- 23:09Speaker 7: I'm sure of it. We've got to watch these Chinese. But,
- 23:12Speaker 7: you know, the university, Penn State University, They're selling cocaine.
- 23:18Speaker 7: They've got a market on the campus of Penn State University.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Wasn't that fraternities or something?
- 23:26Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 23:27Speaker 7: They're bringing it in from the East Coast.
- 23:30Speaker 1: You can't even get the story straight of who's selling it.
- 23:33Speaker 7: Well, they're getting it from the big cities on the
- 23:36Speaker 7: East Coast.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Yeah, but you have this story all screwed up.
- 23:38Speaker 7: These students are selling cocaine, $ 20, 000 a trip. And then
- 23:44Speaker 7: they multiply that. They're capitalists. They're bad capitalists. I'm a
- 23:49Speaker 7: good capitalist. I like to make production, produce something.
- 23:56Speaker 1: You're one stop ready. WKBN. And Ron Ferb, you're on air.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Hey, Ron.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Yes.
- 24:04Speaker 5: It's good to talk with you. I hope you'll hear
- 24:06Speaker 5: me out. I'm a former sailor. I served in the
- 24:10Speaker 5: Navy for four years, did two MEG cruises, one aircraft carriers.
- 24:16Speaker 5: I was on the USS Nimitz, and our second cruise. Now,
- 24:20Speaker 5: we spent over 90 days at sea during the Beirut issue,
- 24:26Speaker 5: and we It was one of those things. You just
- 24:30Speaker 5: get used to the operational tempo. We always got resupplied
- 24:34Speaker 5: with fresh food. About every two weeks, we would come
- 24:37Speaker 5: along another ship, and they would resupply us with food.
- 24:41Speaker 5: It was never that bad. The only time it really
- 24:44Speaker 5: got bad was when we were going across the Atlantic,
- 24:47Speaker 5: coming home, and they wanted to use up all the
- 24:50Speaker 5: food they had. So that was the only time it
- 24:52Speaker 5: was bad. We did have sailors go in the water.
- 24:56Speaker 5: It was accidental, though. But we always picked them up.
- 25:00Speaker 5: There was never anybody lost. I'm wondering now, the question
- 25:06Speaker 5: I have is, you know, you have these complaints, but
- 25:09Speaker 5: you you're always going to have complaints from people in
- 25:12Speaker 5: the military. You know, people that get on the ship,
- 25:15Speaker 5: they join the Navy and don't expect what happens when
- 25:20Speaker 5: you go to sea. And so I'm wondering now if
- 25:25Speaker 5: the generation now just isn't up to that like we were.
- 25:29Speaker 5: We just accepted it as fact. We joined the military.
- 25:33Speaker 1: But why is it always, well, it's that generation, right?
- 25:39Speaker 1: They're not as tough as we were. Well, they volunteered,
- 25:43Speaker 1: but it says here, the U.S. Abraham Lincoln faced a
- 25:46Speaker 1: high-profile crisis during an extended deployment in the Middle East,
- 25:50Speaker 1: surpassing 260 consecutive days at sea without a port call.
- 25:56Speaker 1: The record-stretching tour for its 5,000 sailors and Marines resulted
- 26:01Speaker 1: in severe strain, poor living conditions, and morale issues. Sanitation
- 26:06Speaker 1: and infrastructure.
- 26:07Speaker 5: That's a long time to be at sea. That's a
- 26:09Speaker 5: really long time.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Okay, it's 6,000 miles away from the United States. So
- 26:14Speaker 1: should I ignore what they're saying on board as far
- 26:18Speaker 1: as problems as far as food is concerned?
- 26:21Speaker 5: Oh, no, not at all. I really think that some
- 26:25Speaker 5: of those complaints are somewhat unfounded. I don't believe everything
- 26:29Speaker 5: I read in the news. That's one thing. And I'm
- 26:31Speaker 5: sure there are people complaining.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Stand by. Stand by. Let me go do my break,
- 26:37Speaker 1: and I'll let you finish your thoughts. Hang on. Back
- 26:39Speaker 1: with him in a minute. NewsRadio 570 WKBN. G2 going
- 26:43Speaker 1: to be coming up this hour as well on a Tuesday.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Ron Verb from the Kingdom of Mahoning on NewsRadio 570 WKBN. Youngstown, Ohio.
