- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news. Now you'll find out what
- 0:03Speaker 1: it all means. He smarts amone on seven to ten war.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hell, Hey, we'll get to the shutdown ending and what
- 0:13Speaker 2: it all means. We'll get to we'll get to President Trump.
- 0:17Speaker 2: What a day yesterday is a football career was highlighted
- 0:22Speaker 2: on television. We'll get to Nancy Pelosi. We'll get to mom, Donnie.
- 0:27Speaker 2: We'll get to the BBC. Total corruption over there and
- 0:31Speaker 2: now having a clean house, it looks like the shutdown
- 0:35Speaker 2: will end this week. Democrats, I hate to say they caved,
- 0:39Speaker 2: but they caved and gave in, and Chuck Schumer now
- 0:44Speaker 2: in big, big trouble with Democrats. Chuck Schumer still thinks
- 0:49Speaker 2: this nineteen seventy eight, thinks he can fool people with
- 0:52Speaker 2: his nonsense. So he, you know, pounding the table about
- 0:56Speaker 2: I don't like this disagreement and I voting against it.
- 1:02Speaker 2: It didn't fool anybody because he controls the Senate, and
- 1:05Speaker 2: he allowed eight senators to jump ship and go vote
- 1:08Speaker 2: for it. He could have kept them in line if
- 1:10Speaker 2: he wanted to, but he didn't want to, so he
- 1:13Speaker 2: didn't want to be on record as voting for it.
- 1:14Speaker 2: But he made sure, those eight voted for it, and
- 1:17Speaker 2: this will lead to the end of the shutdown. So Schumer,
- 1:20Speaker 2: totally behind the scenes cave thought he could fool the
- 1:24Speaker 2: voters with it, the Democrats, but they are furious at him.
- 1:27Speaker 2: It's pretty much the end of Schumer's career. He was
- 1:31Speaker 2: on the way out anyway, and couldn't he possibly get
- 1:35Speaker 2: reelected next year. In fact, the rumor everywhere that he'll
- 1:39Speaker 2: announce he's not running for reelection at some point, but
- 1:42Speaker 2: Democrats yelling and screaming about him. I think he thought
- 1:47Speaker 2: he could get away with it. He's just so far
- 1:49Speaker 2: behind the times. But he's in real trouble right now.
- 1:54Speaker 2: So it would it comes down to two things. One
- 1:56Speaker 2: is they kept talking about healthcare, the the care they
- 2:00Speaker 2: call it the Affordable Care Act, and the subsidies that
- 2:04Speaker 2: people need to pay for it. That was the main issue.
- 2:08Speaker 2: But really for many of these senators, the main issue
- 2:12Speaker 2: was the flight cancelations. Fifteen hundred flights canceled today alone,
- 2:17Speaker 2: So it was snarling at airports, making travel almost impossible
- 2:21Speaker 2: for a lot of people, and just screwing up everybody
- 2:25Speaker 2: who need to get on a plane. And that's Schumer,
- 2:29Speaker 2: that's people in Congress. That's their donors and a lot
- 2:33Speaker 2: of voters that they count on. They'll make it sound
- 2:37Speaker 2: like this was about healthcare for people that poverty that
- 2:40Speaker 2: needed it. It thrilling about the flights, and it was
- 2:42Speaker 2: screwing up the people that they talked to. You know
- 2:47Speaker 2: the other thing, you got totally corrupt media in this country.
- 2:50Speaker 2: They never ask any legitimate questions. You see all these Democrats,
- 2:53Speaker 2: all these atom shifts and all these Schumer types come
- 2:56Speaker 2: on the Sunday shows and talk about we must have
- 2:59Speaker 2: the subsidies to pay for people to have the Affordable
- 3:03Speaker 2: Care Act, the Obamacare. You've never heard any media person
- 3:07Speaker 2: ever say the Democrats if it's the Affordable Care Act,
- 3:11Speaker 2: if it's affordable, why would anybody need a subsidy to
- 3:14Speaker 2: pay for it. It's obviously not affordable if you need
- 3:17Speaker 2: a big government subsidy to be able to afford it.
- 3:19Speaker 2: So nobody ever brings that up. The part of the
- 3:22Speaker 2: deal is the Trump administration gave in on a couple
- 3:25Speaker 2: of things. They will agree to rehire everybody. There'll be
- 3:29Speaker 2: no layoffs or anything, no lost jobs as a result.
- 3:33Speaker 2: They'll rehire everybody full back pay for everybody. Figure what's today, Monday, Tuesday,
- 3:39Speaker 2: figure Wednesday. It formally ends. Everybody gets paid by the weekend.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Flights will get back to normal in time for Thanksgiving.
- 3:48Speaker 2: So hey, President Trump announced a lot of pardons. Was
- 3:53Speaker 2: it last night? Yeah? Last night, I remember the whole
- 3:59Speaker 2: A mount of seventy pardons. People that had something to
- 4:01Speaker 2: do with questioning the twenty twenty election. January sixthy. These
- 4:05Speaker 2: are the people that got behind it. Isn't not rioters
- 4:09Speaker 2: at the capitol. These are people that wanted to use
- 4:11Speaker 2: a different slate of electors. This was considered the lowest
- 4:15Speaker 2: form of treason. Now, of course you got totally corrupt media.
- 4:19Speaker 2: They never pointed out to anybody this happens all the time.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Democrats have done this, proposed alternate electors. Al Gore was
- 4:26Speaker 2: one of the people that did that. So when a
- 4:30Speaker 2: Republican get elected, Democrats on the floor on their January
- 4:36Speaker 2: sixth would actually say, we don't vote for these electors.
- 4:39Speaker 2: We want to vote for an alternate slate of electors.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Happens all the time. But in the case of Trump,
- 4:44Speaker 2: the double standard, the hypocrisy, They were all over them
- 4:47Speaker 2: for that, and then all the people were involved, the
- 4:51Speaker 2: attorneys involved Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, all these types, the
- 4:57Speaker 2: lawyers all were getting charged in all sorts of in
- 5:00Speaker 2: all sorts of places. Now, this pardon is only for
- 5:03Speaker 2: federal cases, so it doesn't affect the current cases going
- 5:07Speaker 2: on in you know, Rudy Giuliani and Georgia, Sidney Powell
- 5:09Speaker 2: and Georgia. It doesn't cover those local cases if it's
- 5:12Speaker 2: only for federal charges, So why do it? Is it
- 5:16Speaker 2: just symbolic? No, Actually, this is because it's possible Republicans
- 5:21Speaker 2: could lose the mid terms and Democrats could take control
- 5:24Speaker 2: of Congress next year. If that's the case, they'll you know,
- 5:28Speaker 2: these lunatics, their whole life is January sixth, one hundred
- 5:32Speaker 2: years from now, they'll be yelling about January sixth. For
- 5:35Speaker 2: those who don't remember, January sixth was that trespassing incident
- 5:39Speaker 2: at the Capitol. So in case the Democrats do take
- 5:43Speaker 2: control of Congress, they'll come after all these people. They'll
- 5:45Speaker 2: hold hearings, try to do criminal referrals. So that's why
- 5:50Speaker 2: a federal pardon for all of these people. Schumer on
- 5:54Speaker 2: the shutdown.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Our offer is not a new policy. This is not
- 5:57Speaker 3: negotiating in a shutdown. It's simply agreeing to maintain current
- 6:00Speaker 3: funding levels. A one year extension is something many Republicans
- 6:06Speaker 3: themselves have said they want.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Does anybody take this guy seriously?
- 6:10Speaker 3: We will agree with the Republican Republican request not to
- 6:15Speaker 3: start negotiations until after the government reopens. All Republicans have
- 6:20Speaker 3: to do is say yes to extend current law for
- 6:24Speaker 3: one year.
- 6:26Speaker 2: I don't know, you know he's reading it off an
- 6:28Speaker 2: index card. He's got those big, big, big glasses now,
- 6:30Speaker 2: he got rid of little Ben Franklin glasses, got rid
- 6:33Speaker 2: of those cheap sport coats. He wears an actual suit. Now.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I don't know why you think somebody's listening to this.
- 6:38Speaker 2: If you watch these crazy Sunday shows, they're all talking
- 6:40Speaker 2: about Trump's gonna cave, Trump's gonna ever watched the ABC
- 6:44Speaker 2: Sunday Show. It is the most ridiculous show in the world.
- 6:47Speaker 2: They got three rotating Trump haters, each one hates Trump
- 6:52Speaker 2: more than the other one. It's that old weather Beaten
- 6:54Speaker 2: what's her name? The woman I'm blanking out, Martha the
- 7:00Speaker 2: Radits Martha Raddits, and then who's the Jonathan carl who
- 7:05Speaker 2: he comes down and it pretends to be some sort
- 7:07Speaker 2: of anchorman who's objectively looking at the news. Meantime he's
- 7:10Speaker 2: got a book out trashing Trump about it. So and
- 7:13Speaker 2: then I think this week was actually George Stephanopolis, who's
- 7:17Speaker 2: like a pit bull just biting every day when you
- 7:21Speaker 2: watch him with a with a Republican guest, like a
- 7:24Speaker 2: pit bull, like mauling, biting, clawing. Then they come back
- 7:28Speaker 2: from the commercial, he's got a Democrat on. He's like
- 7:29Speaker 2: a gentle little poodle. Just uh, it's a ridiculous show.
- 7:34Speaker 2: And then they have they go to our panel and
- 7:37Speaker 2: they tell you that the panel is made up of
- 7:39Speaker 2: Democrats and Republicans, but in a massive coincidence, the only
- 7:44Speaker 2: Republicans on the panel are people that have been fired
- 7:46Speaker 2: by Donald Trump and hate Donald Trump. Chris Christie is
- 7:49Speaker 2: one of this is this is why they love Chris Christie.
- 7:51Speaker 2: They can call him a Republican, but all he does
- 7:54Speaker 2: is bash Trump. In fact, Trump was asked about this yesterday.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Everybody knows I know Chris better than anybody in their room.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I always felt he was guilty.
- 8:04Speaker 4: But what he did is he took the George Washington
- 8:07Speaker 4: Bridge was very serious. He closed down the George Washington Bridge,
- 8:10Speaker 4: and you had medical people, you had ambulances caught up.
- 8:13Speaker 4: You know, this thing was closed down, and obviously he
- 8:18Speaker 4: knew about it, but he blamed the young lady that
- 8:21Speaker 4: had worked for him and another person and they got
- 8:23Speaker 4: into a lot of trouble.
- 8:25Speaker 2: So that's the panel. It's a bunch two Democrats and
- 8:27Speaker 2: then well you have two Republicans. But just by coincidence,
- 8:30Speaker 2: there were both people fired bitterly bitter feud fightered by
- 8:35Speaker 2: Donald Trump, Ryan's prebus and Chris Christie Hey. Yesterday great
- 8:40Speaker 2: football game commanders and the Lions. President Trump leaving mar
- 8:44Speaker 2: A Lago early, like at noon, normally leaves about five o'clock,
- 8:48Speaker 2: but to go to the game, he did a flyover
- 8:50Speaker 2: with Air Force one over the stadium. The game, of course,
- 8:53Speaker 2: being broadcast all over the country. Trump was a big,
- 8:56Speaker 2: big star there at the game. They kept covering him.
- 8:58Speaker 2: They invited him into the booth. We the Lions guy
- 9:01Speaker 2: when he scored the touchdown, did the Trump dance in
- 9:04Speaker 2: the end zone? Liberals woke Democrats would get sick watching this,
- 9:10Speaker 2: but they never watched football. They never do. Some people
- 9:14Speaker 2: are now proposing to rename the stadium in Washington d C.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Trump Stadium. He was instrumental in getting the funding getting
- 9:22Speaker 2: it built. That's the reason to justify it. But the
- 9:25Speaker 2: real reason to do it is just to drive people
- 9:28Speaker 2: in Washington nuts. Just to drive the Democrats nuts because
- 9:32Speaker 2: every time they have to drive by it is a
- 9:34Speaker 2: big signed Trump stadium, they'll go crazy. But they had
- 9:38Speaker 2: him in the broadcast booth for about nine minutes yesterday
- 9:40Speaker 2: on the broadcast. Remember Trump actually owned a football team,
- 9:44Speaker 2: the New York Generals, or was it the New Jersey Generals.
- 9:48Speaker 2: The Generals remember herschel Walker. Remember they formed that other
- 9:51Speaker 2: football league UFL whatever it was. But Trump actually owned
- 9:55Speaker 2: a football team, and he was a football player in
- 9:58Speaker 2: college and in high school. And well here's Trump in
- 10:04Speaker 2: the booth yesterday.
- 10:05Speaker 5: I played tight end, but I mean it was not
- 10:08Speaker 5: quite football like this.
- 10:09Speaker 2: It was a little bit easier.
- 10:11Speaker 5: It wasn't so tough, and we had a quarterback who
- 10:13Speaker 5: didn't have a very strong arm. I would say ten
- 10:15Speaker 5: yards was a long pass.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Yeah, So he was pretty good there. They kept him
- 10:20Speaker 2: on a long time.
- 10:21Speaker 5: I love the Jets and I love the Giants. I
- 10:23Speaker 5: had a lot of friends Baptish and some people that
- 10:25Speaker 5: owned the Giants, at the time as we're going along
- 10:28Speaker 5: and progressing, and you know, look, we had a couple
- 10:30Speaker 5: of Super Bowls with the Giants. The Jets have been
- 10:33Speaker 5: having a little bit of a hard time. Woody's a
- 10:34Speaker 5: great guy. He's a great friend of mine.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Get it together, Yeah, Woody Johnson's a great guy. The
- 10:41Speaker 2: worst owner in the history of sports, nobody's a close second,
- 10:46Speaker 2: single worst owner in the history of sports. Hey, you
- 10:50Speaker 2: probably didn't watch Saturday Night Live, And if you do,
- 10:53Speaker 2: it's hard to stay with it more than ten minutes.
- 10:55Speaker 2: It's just not that funny anymore. But Saturday Night Live
- 10:58Speaker 2: doing a lot of jokes about about the election, about
- 11:02Speaker 2: all that stuff. Opening, you know, the opening sketch was
- 11:04Speaker 2: really stupid. It was You may have seen this incident
- 11:08Speaker 2: in the White House. They're having a little briefing in
- 11:12Speaker 2: the White House with the heads of the drug companies.
- 11:14Speaker 2: They're going to make those ozempic type drugs cheaper, make
- 11:18Speaker 2: them available on medicare, all these pharmaceutical types in the room,
- 11:22Speaker 2: and a guy collapses right in the Oval office. There's
- 11:25Speaker 2: like all the presses there, all these people. A guy
- 11:28Speaker 2: just passed. We didn't know if he had a heart
- 11:30Speaker 2: attack or he passed out or what, he just collapsed
- 11:33Speaker 2: and these guys there are officials from these medical companies,
- 11:37Speaker 2: pharmaceutical company, so he assume they know something medical. But
- 11:41Speaker 2: they as he collapsed, they put him on the ground
- 11:43Speaker 2: and doctor Oz is standing there. He's part of the briefing.
- 11:46Speaker 2: As soon as it happens, doctor Oz is right over
- 11:49Speaker 2: there tending the guy. So everybody gets out of the
- 11:51Speaker 2: way and doctor Oz is trying to help the guy.
- 11:56Speaker 2: And the Saturday Night Life opening sketch was about how
- 11:59Speaker 2: Donald Trump is obvious see some sort of psycho. He
- 12:01Speaker 2: saw a man passing out. He did nothing. He just
- 12:03Speaker 2: stood there, which made no sense. You got one of
- 12:06Speaker 2: the greatest doctors on the face of the earth, doctor Oz,
- 12:09Speaker 2: right there. He runs over. He's taking care of the guy.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Would you jump in and interfere with that? No, nobody would. Also,
- 12:16Speaker 2: the White House Medical Office is about forty seconds away.
- 12:21Speaker 2: They threw the press out of the room, so we
- 12:22Speaker 2: didn't see all of this. But the White House Medical
- 12:25Speaker 2: Office is a very very serious thing. It's got a
- 12:27Speaker 2: bunch of doctors, nurses in there. They got all kinds
- 12:30Speaker 2: of equipment. It's pretty much like a little emergency room,
- 12:33Speaker 2: right in the White House. But then Saturday Night Live
- 12:36Speaker 2: opening sketch is usually something you want to watch, and
- 12:38Speaker 2: then after that it's all downhill. Then they do that
- 12:41Speaker 2: weekend update, the fake news, the fake newscast they did
- 12:46Speaker 2: go after a well, now, listen to this. They talk
- 12:49Speaker 2: about mom Donnie, who watches Saturday Night Live, Who's in
- 12:52Speaker 2: that audience, what type of people take a listen. This
- 12:55Speaker 2: will show you exactly what type.
- 12:57Speaker 6: On Tuesdays are on Mom. Donnie was elect mayor.
- 13:07Speaker 7: He was elected.
- 13:12Speaker 6: A lot of sleeve offans. She was elected mayor despite
- 13:16Speaker 6: his opponent Andrew Cuomo, receiving endorsements from Donald Trump and
- 13:20Speaker 6: Eric Adams, which is like trying to bring a girl
- 13:23Speaker 6: home by saying, not to brag, but I have hepatitis
- 13:26Speaker 6: B and C.
- 13:28Speaker 2: But listen to that ovation from Donnie winning and Cuomo.
- 13:33Speaker 2: You know, at the end of the year, which is
- 13:35Speaker 2: not that far away, I hate to say it, but
- 13:37Speaker 2: in the month and a half at the end of
- 13:38Speaker 2: the year, they always do that the winner of the
- 13:39Speaker 2: year loser of the year. Usually you wait to see
- 13:43Speaker 2: who who will people pick? Well, with loser of the year,
- 13:46Speaker 2: you don't have to wait for anything. It's obviously Andrew
- 13:48Speaker 2: Cuomo getting ridiculed on Saturday Night Live, Andrew Cuomo the
- 13:52Speaker 2: loser of the year. You know, if Curtis had not
- 13:55Speaker 2: been in the race, if there was no Curtis, it
- 13:58Speaker 2: wouldn't have helped Andrew Cuomo at all. In fact, at
- 14:01Speaker 2: the very end, if you took every Curtis voter and
- 14:03Speaker 2: added it to Cuomo, he still lost by a few points.
- 14:06Speaker 2: And this is with every possible advantage, everybody everywhere telling
- 14:12Speaker 2: everybody to vote for Cuoma the president, everybody. Even with that,
- 14:17Speaker 2: he couldn't win. And boy and Saturday Night Live, they
- 14:21Speaker 2: went after Cuomo.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Andrew Cuomo spent the last day before the election campaigning
- 14:25Speaker 1: around the city and a.
- 14:26Speaker 8: White Ford Bronco, which is what O. J.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Simpson used to get away from police.
- 14:32Speaker 8: But at least oj was ahead and the race for
- 14:34Speaker 8: a while.
- 14:37Speaker 2: So Cuomo just getting ridiculed by everybody. Let's see if
- 14:41Speaker 2: he leaves New York City. He was always in Westchester,
- 14:44Speaker 2: his whole a doubt life Westchester. When it looked like
- 14:48Speaker 2: he wanted to run from mayor, he rented an apartment
- 14:51Speaker 2: in the city so he could be a New York
- 14:52Speaker 2: City resident during the campaign. But it's over. Now, let's
- 14:56Speaker 2: see if he goes back to Westchester, where he goes, Hey,
- 14:59Speaker 2: we got a lot coming up. We'll get back to
- 15:03Speaker 2: Mom Donnie and what's next. There's some interesting developments there.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Who's in, who's out with Mom Donnie? And a whole
- 15:10Speaker 2: lot more to talk about. We'll take some calls next.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the
- 15:15Speaker 2: number eight hundred three two one zero seven.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Ten give wr obre said on the iHeartRadio app to
- 15:24Speaker 1: hear Mark Simone and all the WOR hosts in an instance.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simo show on WR.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to uh, let's
- 15:38Speaker 2: go to Dave in Chicago. Dave, how you doing.
- 15:41Speaker 9: Good morning, Mark.
- 15:41Speaker 10: I'm doing very well. Thank you.
- 15:43Speaker 11: Mark.
- 15:43Speaker 10: From what you describe, it sounds like the Sunday Morning
- 15:47Speaker 10: talk show, especially with George Stephanopoulos, is like the View
- 15:51Speaker 10: only on Sunday. And I have to ask number one,
- 15:55Speaker 10: we know he's not a true journalist. And number two,
- 15:58Speaker 10: why don't they follow the lead of CBS and just
- 16:01Speaker 10: not renew his contract?
- 16:04Speaker 2: George Stephanopolis, I don't know he's convinced the ABC top
- 16:09Speaker 2: people of the Disney people, that he is the most
- 16:11Speaker 2: connected guy in the democratic world, that he's a powerful
- 16:14Speaker 2: force there. I don't know how he's convinced him of this,
- 16:18Speaker 2: but somehow they fell for it, and they're just afraid
- 16:21Speaker 2: to fire him. At some point they actually will. You know,
- 16:24Speaker 2: you got the View the ABC Sunday Morning this week
- 16:29Speaker 2: with George Stephanoppolis. They're all the same things, just different.
- 16:32Speaker 2: You know, one is the low IQ Show, the View
- 16:35Speaker 2: one is the high IQ Show. But you watch the
- 16:39Speaker 2: Sunday Show on ABC, you won't know what's going on.
- 16:42Speaker 2: They actually say I saw that in a bunch of
- 16:43Speaker 2: Sunday shows. They've actually said the phrase with inflation raging,
- 16:49Speaker 2: there's no raging. Inflation three percent? It was nine percent
- 16:52Speaker 2: under Biden. You never mentioned it. Under Biden, you never
- 16:55Speaker 2: heard about it. It was triple what it is now
- 17:00Speaker 2: you get this word affordability. This is the crisis affordability.
- 17:03Speaker 2: We had the worst inflation under Joe Biden in history.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Did you ever hear them use the word affordability? Never
- 17:09Speaker 2: even mentioned it. They've never mentioned the word till now.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Let's go to Bruce in West Milford. Bruce, how you doing, Hey? Mark?
- 17:16Speaker 12: Nice target It listen. I live in West Milford about
- 17:18Speaker 12: seven miles away.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Is Derek somebody chasing you? Why are you talking so fast? Oh?
- 17:23Speaker 12: Because on my work we live about seven miles from
- 17:26Speaker 12: Derek jeters old Clomo wants to buy.
- 17:28Speaker 2: It Derek jeters old house.
- 17:31Speaker 12: Yeah, the one he just sold for fourteen million dollars
- 17:33Speaker 12: or something.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Where's that in Greenville, Ke, New York.
- 17:37Speaker 12: It's right on the border. Anyway, I want to say
- 17:39Speaker 12: about I was watching the TV on Westfield, all the
- 17:41Speaker 12: snap people picking up their They all got brand new
- 17:44Speaker 12: SUVs and everything. I can't understand it. Where did I
- 17:46Speaker 12: go room?
- 17:47Speaker 2: I don't know, don't. I don't believe that. Andrew Crolomo
- 17:49Speaker 2: will tell you he's got He's looking to buy this
- 17:51Speaker 2: house for fourteen May. These are rumors, just rumors, no
- 17:55Speaker 2: no verification of that. I can't fixture Andrew Cromo living
- 17:57Speaker 2: way up there. But let's go to Don in New
- 17:59Speaker 2: York's Don how you doing?
- 18:02Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 18:02Speaker 13: Hello?
- 18:02Speaker 2: Mark?
- 18:03Speaker 12: Yes, wondering whatever became of Jonathan Schwartz.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Jonathan Schwartz is alive and well. I saw him the
- 18:09Speaker 2: other day, one of the greatest radio show hosts ever
- 18:13Speaker 2: in history. His Sunday show for many, many years. Legendary.
- 18:18Speaker 2: He's retired now but looks good and it's still still
- 18:23Speaker 2: around and glad you remember him. That was one of
- 18:25Speaker 2: the greatest radio hosts ever. Nobody better on Sinatra, no
- 18:29Speaker 2: better musicologists in the world, and no better storyteller. He
- 18:33Speaker 2: could out do Jeene Shepherd or any of them. Let's
- 18:37Speaker 2: go to Bill in Pennsylvania. Bill, how you doing Yo?
- 18:41Speaker 14: How you doing?
- 18:42Speaker 15: Mark? You know every election there's a PSA that floats
- 18:47Speaker 15: around before every election. It says you run out of
- 18:49Speaker 15: every five kids. Yeah, that's not even boats. They have
- 18:54Speaker 15: now a new dittyguary called food insecure.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that is the dumb wre You're not supposed to
- 19:01Speaker 2: stay hungry anymore, you know, we have our hunger THI
- 19:04Speaker 2: on battling hunger. You're not supposed to say You're supposed
- 19:07Speaker 2: to say food insecure. It's the dumbest phrase, Like guess
- 19:14Speaker 2: at some point it's like a flood victim. You can't
- 19:16Speaker 2: say flood victim. There, dryness insecure, food insecure? What the
- 19:22Speaker 2: hell does that mean? Let's go to Margaret in Westchester. Margaret,
- 19:25Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 19:27Speaker 13: I'm doing well? Yes, Margaret, I really like to speak
- 19:31Speaker 13: is it marks them OWD let me check, Yes, it
- 19:34Speaker 13: is okay. I just have several things to say. Things
- 19:39Speaker 13: are so mixed up, and if people only check things
- 19:43Speaker 13: before they started talking, and if they weren't jealous of
- 19:47Speaker 13: each other, things would not be as bad as they are.
- 19:51Speaker 13: If everyone just concentrates on what they're really supposed to do. Yes,
- 19:56Speaker 13: And I'm wanting to say, menching you for a long time.
- 19:59Speaker 13: It's just an out of concentration figuring things out, being respectful,
- 20:06Speaker 13: being respectful.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Kidding, kidding. Where do you live in Westchester?
- 20:11Speaker 13: I live on the Tellam there Rochelle Border. Oh, very
- 20:14Speaker 13: nice complex.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, there's there a lot of seniors.
- 20:17Speaker 13: There, many seniors, many young children and a view of
- 20:22Speaker 13: the water of Long Island. Sound.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Oh there you go like near a premium point.
- 20:27Speaker 13: Yes, yes, really nice and.
- 20:30Speaker 2: All your seniors there. It's kind of a lot of
- 20:32Speaker 2: wild parties and stuff like that.
- 20:34Speaker 13: No, no, very nice things by gone on Halloween and everything.
- 20:39Speaker 13: All nice things, all really nice things. Yeah, and you
- 20:44Speaker 13: do a lot of good things, and just we have
- 20:47Speaker 13: to just get things together and let people realize what
- 20:51Speaker 13: they're doing and do what they're supposed to do with
- 20:53Speaker 13: their jobs.
- 20:54Speaker 2: So what you're saying, is we have to do what
- 20:57Speaker 2: we're supposed to do, and what we're supposed to do,
- 20:59Speaker 2: we should just go Is that what you're.
- 21:00Speaker 13: Saying exactly exactly?
- 21:04Speaker 2: All right, thanks for a calling. That'sald like a nice
- 21:07Speaker 2: woman there in Margaret. All right, So everybody remember that
- 21:10Speaker 2: whatever it is you do, make sure you do it.
- 21:14Speaker 2: I don't know what that means. Now. Every day I
- 21:17Speaker 2: make up a to do list. I used to have
- 21:20Speaker 2: it on a piece of paper, and now it's on
- 21:22Speaker 2: the phone. It's an app with your to do list.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Every day, make up this are all the things I
- 21:26Speaker 2: need to do today. Then at the end of the day,
- 21:31Speaker 2: I see I did none of them. This is, you know,
- 21:34Speaker 2: the good thing about having on an app because the
- 21:36Speaker 2: old way you had to like rewrite it every day.
- 21:38Speaker 2: This way you just leave it there on the app. Now,
- 21:41Speaker 2: a very wise guy that once said, because you probably
- 21:44Speaker 2: do this too, stop with the two do list. Don't
- 21:47Speaker 2: make the two do list. You're never going to do it.
- 21:50Speaker 2: What you should do at the end of every day,
- 21:52Speaker 2: at the end of the day, make a list of
- 21:54Speaker 2: what you did. Make a list of what you did
- 21:57Speaker 2: at the end of the day, and it'll start to
- 21:59Speaker 2: embarrass you a little and you can't think of anything.
- 22:01Speaker 2: So try that for a while. It actually works. Hey,
- 22:03Speaker 2: Michael Goodwin, not with us this week. Hopefully you'll be
- 22:06Speaker 2: back next week. But when we come back, the brilliant
- 22:09Speaker 2: columnist Liz Peak will be with us next on seven
- 22:12Speaker 2: ten WR.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Marximoni's back on seventeen.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Wor well. Liz Peak, the brilliant columnist also has a
- 22:22Speaker 2: great website, lizpeak dot com. All kinds of great stories
- 22:26Speaker 2: and the new stuff every day lizpeak dot com. You
- 22:29Speaker 2: get a column there also at Fox News and The Hill.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Liz Peak. How you doing.
- 22:34Speaker 8: I'm well, thank you.
- 22:36Speaker 16: I'm delighted that the government is going to be up
- 22:38Speaker 16: and running, hopefully within days.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Oh I'm not. I keep it closed. We don't need
- 22:43Speaker 2: these people back there. Clearly it was a I won't
- 22:49Speaker 2: say cave in a concession on the part of Democrats,
- 22:52Speaker 2: and Schumer said I will oppose it. But obviously he
- 22:54Speaker 2: gave the wink in the nod for eight people to
- 22:57Speaker 2: jump ship. Right.
- 22:58Speaker 8: I don't know if he did.
- 23:00Speaker 16: I think that Schumer has kind of lost his way, honestly,
- 23:03Speaker 16: and look he is getting blasted again for allowing this
- 23:11Speaker 16: vote to take place, and for conceding, for actually for
- 23:16Speaker 16: winning nothing. That's the thing, Mark, is that what did
- 23:21Speaker 16: the Democrats get from all this? What did they get
- 23:23Speaker 16: from endangering air travelers in America and throwing hundreds of
- 23:27Speaker 16: thousands of government employees off their payrolls and for causing
- 23:32Speaker 16: SNAP beneficiaries to have a heart attack because they weren't
- 23:35Speaker 16: going to get any SNAP payments.
- 23:37Speaker 8: The answer is they got nothing zero.
- 23:40Speaker 16: They're not going to get an automatic extension of the
- 23:43Speaker 16: Obamacare subsidies that they were supposedly fighting for. They're not
- 23:46Speaker 16: going to get a rollback of the reforms to Medicaid
- 23:49Speaker 16: that they're so opposed to. They lost, and I think, honestly,
- 23:53Speaker 16: for Schumer, this is a catastrophe. Look, their party is
- 23:58Speaker 16: already eating their own. This is just giving them more
- 24:01Speaker 16: defeast on.
- 24:04Speaker 2: But correct me if I'm wrong. Nobody's ever gotten anything
- 24:06Speaker 2: out of a shutdown, these shutdown caucuses like oh for fourteen,
- 24:09Speaker 2: aren't they?
- 24:10Speaker 11: Ah?
- 24:11Speaker 16: You know, I haven't gone back and looked at all
- 24:13Speaker 16: the ones.
- 24:14Speaker 8: I don't know. I mean, I sort of tend to
- 24:16Speaker 8: agree with that.
- 24:17Speaker 16: I can't really remember a time when either Republicans or
- 24:21Speaker 16: Democrats won any big points from shutting the government down
- 24:26Speaker 16: now when the GOP does it, which they did in
- 24:30Speaker 16: the Tea Party era.
- 24:31Speaker 8: Because they wanted less spending.
- 24:33Speaker 16: Of course, when you have the entire media world with
- 24:36Speaker 16: very few exceptions on your side, as Democrats always do,
- 24:41Speaker 16: you end up being the people you know, then obviously
- 24:44Speaker 16: the GOP looks like they're responsible and they're blamed for
- 24:47Speaker 16: everything that goes wrong, so it's probably not surprising that
- 24:50Speaker 16: they don't end up winning very much in this case.
- 24:53Speaker 16: It really has been pretty astonishing to watch. I mean,
- 24:56Speaker 16: I tweeted out something or exed out something yesterday a
- 25:01Speaker 16: paragraph from Axios saying, it's hard to blame the Democrats.
- 25:06Speaker 16: It's hard for Republicans to blame the Democrats for the
- 25:08Speaker 16: shutdown when, after all, they control all three branches of government.
- 25:12Speaker 8: It's like the author never heard of the filibuster. They
- 25:15Speaker 8: don't know how it works.
- 25:17Speaker 16: I mean, really, Mark, you got to say, that's pretty
- 25:19Speaker 16: damn dishonest. And that is sort of the tone that
- 25:23Speaker 16: the left wing media, meaning all the media except for
- 25:26Speaker 16: you and me, has been treating this.
- 25:29Speaker 8: As you know, it's all the Democrats are the good guys.
- 25:32Speaker 16: The Republicans or like Kim Jeffries is out there every
- 25:36Speaker 16: two minutes going President Trump and the Republicans are trying
- 25:39Speaker 16: to starve the American people and that's why they won't
- 25:42Speaker 16: reopen the dem I mean, really, it's pretty appalling. You
- 25:45Speaker 16: look at his look at his Twitter feed or x feed.
- 25:48Speaker 16: That's exactly what he's been saying.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know, people have to just accept the
- 25:51Speaker 2: fact Axios and Political Politico are as corrupt as those
- 25:55Speaker 2: the networks are. They're just awful.
- 25:57Speaker 16: Well, they're just dishonest. I don't know about corrupt the honest,
- 26:00Speaker 16: and it's just a shame, you know. I Mean, at
- 26:03Speaker 16: some point I get so tired of Chris Murphy and
- 26:07Speaker 16: Richard Blumenthal and all the usual suspects, Corey Booker, etc.
- 26:12Speaker 8: Gavin Newsom just plain lying about stuff. They do it
- 26:16Speaker 8: all the time.
- 26:17Speaker 16: And I don't know about you, I just sort of
- 26:20Speaker 16: I just think that's wrong, and I really think it's
- 26:22Speaker 16: kind of astonishing that more Americans don't rebel against that.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Hey, if we had honest media, wouldn't they ask a
- 26:28Speaker 2: Democrat if it's the Affordable Care Act, if it's so affordable,
- 26:32Speaker 2: why would you need a subsidy to pay for it?
- 26:35Speaker 11: That.
- 26:35Speaker 16: I mean, when it is pretty ironic, you take a
- 26:38Speaker 16: step back. If this thing all came down to the
- 26:41Speaker 16: extension of kind of emergency premium subsidies so that people
- 26:46Speaker 16: can afford Obamacare, what does that say about Obamacare?
- 26:50Speaker 8: What it says is that it's a failed program. It
- 26:54Speaker 8: never worked.
- 26:54Speaker 16: The minute that the Supreme Court struck down the individual mandate,
- 26:59Speaker 16: you it was a catastrophe because the whole concept of
- 27:04Speaker 16: Obamacare was that you were going to have millions and millions,
- 27:07Speaker 16: tens of millions of Americans enrolled, including young, healthy Americans,
- 27:14Speaker 16: and you would insist on their enrolling even if they
- 27:16Speaker 16: didn't want to, because you had this individual mandate, and
- 27:20Speaker 16: they were going to carry the costs basically of the older,
- 27:24Speaker 16: sicker Americans who really had to have health insurance and
- 27:28Speaker 16: also signed up for Obamacare. When those young when that
- 27:31Speaker 16: young cohort, the young healthy cohort, heard that they no
- 27:35Speaker 16: longer had to buy Obamacare because the Supreme Court says
- 27:38Speaker 16: it's against our constitution to make somebody buy something, then
- 27:43Speaker 16: the program was done. But the Democrats never admitted it.
- 27:47Speaker 16: But now, excuse me, now they are faced with the
- 27:50Speaker 16: reality that it doesn't work without that individual mandate.
- 27:54Speaker 2: That's a perfect explanation of the problem.
- 27:56Speaker 8: And of course it's true.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Of course should have actual media that reports all that
- 28:02Speaker 2: explains all that, but they don't. So the Mamdani administration
- 28:09Speaker 2: is forming. It looks like a lot of people from
- 28:12Speaker 2: the Deblasio administration. So that's not I mean, it's bad,
- 28:15Speaker 2: but we got through eight years at de Blasio. We'll
- 28:17Speaker 2: get through this, all right, won't.
- 28:18Speaker 16: We We'll get through it, but it's going to be
- 28:21Speaker 16: a pretty unpleasant time.
- 28:22Speaker 8: And I think.
- 28:24Speaker 16: Probably the X factor in all of this is the
- 28:27Speaker 16: anti semitism. You know, I'm look, progressives are going to
- 28:33Speaker 16: fail because their policies are bad.
- 28:36Speaker 8: Eventually we'll get rid of this guy. But it's the
- 28:39Speaker 8: cozing up to.
- 28:41Speaker 16: People like the unindicted co conspirator in the World Trade
- 28:46Speaker 16: Center bombings that really makes me anxious.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Yeah, but again, we got through eight years of Deblasio.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Well what does it mean? What does it mean for
- 28:56Speaker 2: the Yeah?
- 28:59Speaker 8: Now, but he wasn't like a Muslim friendly with terrorists, right,
- 29:03Speaker 8: that's a pretty new thing for New York City mayor.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Well, he was pretty bad. Member honeymooned in Cuba. He
- 29:09Speaker 2: was seen with the cop killing a terrorist down there,
- 29:12Speaker 2: chesh Myers's true. Yeah, so that is true. Well, what
- 29:15Speaker 2: does this mean for the midterms? If macdonne takes over
- 29:18Speaker 2: by you know, fall of next year, it's a mess
- 29:21Speaker 2: in New York that will affect the midterms, won't it.
- 29:24Speaker 16: Well, I think that the more that he comes up
- 29:27Speaker 16: with really crackpot ideas and tries to implement them and
- 29:30Speaker 16: they fail. Yes, the Republicans, you use that as an example,
- 29:35Speaker 16: but by the way.
- 29:37Speaker 8: I'm sorry them having this coffee attack.
- 29:39Speaker 16: We're already seeing Democratic Socialists attack and now challenging Hakeem Jeffries.
- 29:47Speaker 16: And my guess is AOC is going to primary Chuck Schumer.
- 29:51Speaker 16: There's going to be an awful lot of moderate traditional
- 29:54Speaker 16: Democrats under the gun as we approach the midterms. Is
- 29:58Speaker 16: that going to be good for them or for us?
- 30:01Speaker 16: I don't think it's very good for Democrats. And you
- 30:04Speaker 16: really do sort of see this civil war taking place
- 30:07Speaker 16: in their party. An awful lot of money is going
- 30:11Speaker 16: to be spent, I think protecting incumbents in the Democratic
- 30:16Speaker 16: Party like Schumer, who is not popular. But I think
- 30:21Speaker 16: most funders are going to say, well, you know, I
- 30:25Speaker 16: really don't want AOC as my Senator, So I think
- 30:28Speaker 16: they've got big problems going into the midterms.
- 30:30Speaker 8: And yeah, ma'am, Donnie is the face of that.
- 30:32Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Imagine if John F. Kennedy came back to life and
- 30:35Speaker 2: looked at his party and said, what the hell did
- 30:37Speaker 2: you do to my Democratic Party? Unbelievable?
- 30:40Speaker 8: He would not recognize that mark. He would not recognize it.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Really, Well, everybody check out Liz Peak's columns at The
- 30:45Speaker 2: Hill or Fox News, but go to a website. There's
- 30:47Speaker 2: always a lot of great stories and analysis. Lizpeak dot com,
- 30:51Speaker 2: lizpeak dot com, Liz Peak. Thanks for being with us.
- 30:56Speaker 8: Thank you so much for having me.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Have a great day, all right, take care and yeah, well,
- 31:01Speaker 2: Michael Goodwin should be back with us next week. Miranda
- 31:04Speaker 2: Devine will be with us in the next hour. Lots
- 31:07Speaker 2: to talk about. Don't forget Buck Sexton, Clay Travis. It's
- 31:09Speaker 2: an excellent show every day at twelve noon, then at
- 31:12Speaker 2: three o'clock. You got the most listened to radio show
- 31:15Speaker 2: in the world. Sean Hannity, that's a three. He's a
- 31:18Speaker 2: lot of big guests today. One of them will be
- 31:20Speaker 2: me somewhere between three and five on the Sean Hannity show,
- 31:25Speaker 2: and then hey, don't forget Jimmy Fayala every night at nine,
- 31:28Speaker 2: nine to midnight. Excellent show. Right here on seven ten, WR.
- 31:33Speaker 1: You're ahead of the game just for being here, heys
- 31:36Speaker 1: Marks alone on seven ten WR.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Oh god, I hate this getting dark early. It's like
- 31:43Speaker 2: four fifty it's like four to fifty five and it's dark.
- 31:46Speaker 2: I can't deal with this. So hey, tomorrow, so it
- 31:48Speaker 2: will be the first really cold day. It's going to
- 31:49Speaker 2: be like in the forties, but feel like the thirties.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Tomorrow you'll really, really really feel it. Anyway, We've got
- 31:55Speaker 2: a lot to get to in the next hour. Stay
- 31:57Speaker 2: right there back after the news on seven to ten.
- 32:00Speaker 7: You are you're listening to Mark only on.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Well, Hey, we'll get to the governor's race. We'll get
- 32:10Speaker 2: to mom, Donnie. And the shutdown looks like it's ending.
- 32:14Speaker 2: It's coming to an end. The first big vote last night.
- 32:18Speaker 2: They'll have it wrapped up, probably by Wednesday. Schumer getting
- 32:21Speaker 2: a lot of flak from Democrats. The leading Democrat right now,
- 32:25Speaker 2: probably Gavin Newsom. He's the leader of the twenty twenty
- 32:28Speaker 2: eight bunch, and he tweets out just one word pathetic.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Pathetic so they'll be coming after Schumer, which is good.
- 32:37Speaker 2: He deserves it, and it's gonna get settled. And then
- 32:44Speaker 2: like every other shutdown we've had, how many of you
- 32:46Speaker 2: have been through, You've been through fourteen of them. You know,
- 32:49Speaker 2: we'll just forget about it. Everything, we'll get back to normal.
- 32:52Speaker 2: It's just good for the Democrats have a playbook. They
- 32:56Speaker 2: all get their assignment. If you were watching the Sunday
- 32:58Speaker 2: shows yesterday, you may have start to notice that they're
- 33:03Speaker 2: not only saying the same thing, they're using these same
- 33:05Speaker 2: exact phrases. It's all coordinated. They do a conference call
- 33:10Speaker 2: and it comes from K Street in Washington, DC. All
- 33:13Speaker 2: the Democrats are given their assignment what to say on
- 33:16Speaker 2: the shows, the phrases to use. One of them, which
- 33:19Speaker 2: you saw every Democrat use on the Sunday shows. Somewhere
- 33:23Speaker 2: in the middle area said if Donald Trump didn't spend
- 33:25Speaker 2: all his time on the golf course. You saw that
- 33:27Speaker 2: like fourteen times on those Sunday shows. You heard Adam
- 33:31Speaker 2: Shift sit, you heard Hakim Jeffrey sat. Every Democrat used
- 33:33Speaker 2: that phrase, Well, he didn't spend all his time on
- 33:36Speaker 2: the golf course. Now obviously coordinated, but also what does
- 33:41Speaker 2: it mean does he spend all his time on the
- 33:43Speaker 2: golf course. No, obviously not. You know, he plays golf
- 33:46Speaker 2: on Saturday and Sunday, and I've played golf with him
- 33:50Speaker 2: a lot of times. He plays fast. It's not four hours,
- 33:53Speaker 2: it's two hours. Maybe it's quick. He plays quick. So
- 33:58Speaker 2: you're entitled on Saturday and Sunday to take the day off.
- 34:02Speaker 2: You know, Obama liked to play basketball. He didn't like golf.
- 34:06Speaker 2: He liked to play basketball. He even had a basketball court,
- 34:09Speaker 2: put it in the White House. We could play basketball,
- 34:12Speaker 2: and Saturday and Sunday he would go on that basketball
- 34:15Speaker 2: court and play basketball. I never heard anybody say, well,
- 34:16Speaker 2: he didn't spend all this time playing basketball. Every president
- 34:20Speaker 2: does something on the weekends. Every president has a hobby
- 34:24Speaker 2: of some kind. Nixon liked to read Saturday and Sunday,
- 34:27Speaker 2: sit around and read. They didn't say, well, he didn't
- 34:30Speaker 2: spend all his time reading. You're entitled on Saturday and
- 34:33Speaker 2: Sunday to take a couple of hours on Saturday and
- 34:35Speaker 2: Sunday to do whatever your hobby is. So a crazy
- 34:39Speaker 2: talking point they were using. Nancy Pelosi is leaving. That's
- 34:43Speaker 2: the good news. The fascinating part is her amazing career
- 34:49Speaker 2: in the stock market. She is up over the last
- 34:55Speaker 2: few years. Warren Buffett, I think it's up like four
- 34:58Speaker 2: hundred percent or something. Her is portfolio, her portfolio. This
- 35:02Speaker 2: is not a joke. Her portfolio is up seventeen thousand percent.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Seventeen thousand percent. That's the greatest ever trading record in
- 35:12Speaker 2: the history of the stock exchange. Nobody has ever been
- 35:15Speaker 2: up like that, No hedge fund, no anybody. Now, obviously
- 35:18Speaker 2: she did it with insider trading. When you are in Congress,
- 35:23Speaker 2: you get access to all kinds of information before anybody else.
- 35:27Speaker 2: You know what company's going to get a ruling against them,
- 35:30Speaker 2: what company's going to get a ruling for them, and
- 35:33Speaker 2: you can trade based on that. It's legal. I don't
- 35:36Speaker 2: know how this ever happened, but it's legal for people
- 35:38Speaker 2: in Congress to engage in insider trading. It's got to
- 35:42Speaker 2: be outlawed. But the only people can outlawd the congressmen themselves.
- 35:45Speaker 2: So Pelosi was the king, the queen of insider trading.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Her portfolio is up seventeen thousand percent. She's made hundreds
- 35:54Speaker 2: of millions of dollars in Congress. She was asked about it.
- 35:58Speaker 14: Your career.
- 35:58Speaker 10: Has her husband m maybe purchase of SALB some information
- 36:01Speaker 10: you received from you.
- 36:02Speaker 8: No, absolutely not.
- 36:05Speaker 2: No, No, you're up seventeen thousand percent. Did you use
- 36:09Speaker 2: your insider note? No, no, no, just sheare brilliance on
- 36:15Speaker 2: her part, but it's done all the time, not on
- 36:17Speaker 2: a smaller scale. You got this new Jersey governor elect,
- 36:20Speaker 2: Mikey Cheryl, who's brand new, just started. But in her
- 36:24Speaker 2: brief little time in Congress, she somehow made seven million
- 36:28Speaker 2: trading stock, just like that, seven million, And our friend
- 36:33Speaker 2: down the hall there, Charlemagne, asked her, but did you
- 36:36Speaker 2: make seven million trading stocks?
- 36:38Speaker 17: There is no individual stock trading. It's not as if
- 36:41Speaker 17: I go sit on the House Arm Service Committee and
- 36:43Speaker 17: suddenly I'm trading Boeing or something. There's none of that.
- 36:46Speaker 17: I'm totally out of individual stocks. And I, like I said,
- 36:49Speaker 17: I think every member of Congress shall be, well.
- 36:52Speaker 8: Did you make seven million in stock trees at all? Well?
- 36:55Speaker 7: I haven't.
- 36:58Speaker 17: I don't believe I did, but i'd have to go
- 37:01Speaker 17: see what that was alluding to it.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Now you know how much money you got to have
- 37:06Speaker 2: to not notice if you've made seven million to not
- 37:10Speaker 2: notice seven million showing up in your bank account or
- 37:13Speaker 2: your stock account. If you didn't notice seven million, you
- 37:17Speaker 2: got to be worth hundreds of millions not to notice
- 37:21Speaker 2: seven million. I mean, if you're Elon Musk and an
- 37:24Speaker 2: extra seven million showed up in your stock portfolio, you
- 37:27Speaker 2: might not note. Who's going to notice you got five
- 37:29Speaker 2: hundred billion. Who's going to know a seven million? But
- 37:32Speaker 2: she didn't notice the seven million anyway? Hey, yea. The
- 37:36Speaker 2: good news is there's some indictments coming. The Grand Jury
- 37:40Speaker 2: approved subpoenas for John Brennan, the dirty former CIA director.
- 37:44Speaker 2: But it looks like they're going after Strack and Page,
- 37:47Speaker 2: all the people that did that disgusting Russia witch hunt hoax.
- 37:52Speaker 2: One by one. They'll be going after all of them.
- 37:54Speaker 2: So that's that's good news. Expect that pretty soon. So
- 37:58Speaker 2: the race for governor, you got to Hokel in trouble. Obviously,
- 38:03Speaker 2: people can't stand Hokel and she's embracing Mamdannie. You know,
- 38:08Speaker 2: they had that big Democrat conference in Puerto Rico. They
- 38:11Speaker 2: called the somos whatever that stands for, but it's basically
- 38:15Speaker 2: they say it's to relax in a conference. It's a
- 38:19Speaker 2: conference when they're all to talk to each other. But
- 38:21Speaker 2: as Curtis would say, it's whining, dining, and pocket lining
- 38:26Speaker 2: kind of a deal. And they had to do a
- 38:30Speaker 2: couple of joint appearances and Hokel was all over Mam Donnie,
- 38:33Speaker 2: introducing them, praising them, holding hands with him. So you'll
- 38:37Speaker 2: see Stefanic at least Stephonic running against Nancy Hochel. Kathy
- 38:44Speaker 2: Hochel for governor. This could be an interesting race.
- 38:47Speaker 18: This is a toxic governor who has a record of
- 38:50Speaker 18: delivering the highest taxes in the nation, of hurting hard
- 38:53Speaker 18: working New Yorkers, of turning her back on law enforcement
- 38:56Speaker 18: officers and small businesses. New York is in catastrophe because
- 39:00Speaker 18: Caathy Hocheal's leadership nasophonic.
- 39:02Speaker 2: She's Ferosias going after Hokel, and she's going to time
- 39:05Speaker 2: the Mom Donnie.
- 39:06Speaker 18: This was not a mandate, even though mom Dommi is
- 39:08Speaker 18: claiming such. He barely got over fifty percent, So that
- 39:11Speaker 18: is really a historically low performance for someone who won
- 39:14Speaker 18: the Democrat primary. That means nearly half of New York
- 39:17Speaker 18: City voters, which is traditionally a Democrat city, voted against
- 39:21Speaker 18: mom Dommi because they know he is so radical he's
- 39:23Speaker 18: out of touch with hard working families, with small businesses
- 39:27Speaker 18: who are already crushed by the highest taxes in the nation.
- 39:31Speaker 2: Yeah, she's right, Mom Donnie. He did get a majority
- 39:34Speaker 2: fifty point four percent, but remember he was up against
- 39:39Speaker 2: the biggest loser in the world, Andrew Cuomo. Curtis is
- 39:42Speaker 2: a good candidate, but remember everybody on Earth, every major figure,
- 39:47Speaker 2: was telling you not to vote for Curtis, so nobody
- 39:50Speaker 2: could have I mean, there's nobody in the history of
- 39:52Speaker 2: an election they ever had to shoot greased for them
- 39:55Speaker 2: more than Cuomo. I mean, the runway was cleared for him,
- 39:58Speaker 2: and he still couldn't pull it off. That's how Mam
- 40:02Speaker 2: Donnie won. Stephanic will be a big, big, tough challenger
- 40:06Speaker 2: to Hochel.
- 40:06Speaker 18: She's an accidental governor. She's only in this position because
- 40:10Speaker 18: she was Cuomo's lieutenant governor and when New Yorkers were
- 40:13Speaker 18: looking for strong leadership from a governor. Not to bend
- 40:16Speaker 18: the knee to Zorn Mamdami, Kathy hoche Benthany.
- 40:19Speaker 8: Why did she do that?
- 40:20Speaker 18: Because she is hemorrhaging support even in her own party
- 40:23Speaker 18: among Democrats.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Yeah, now she's going to have a lot of people
- 40:27Speaker 2: going after But who's going to go after her? Aoc Well,
- 40:30Speaker 2: a lot of people don't take her seriously. Schumer is
- 40:32Speaker 2: an old, dried up fossil Hakeem Jefferies. He talks like
- 40:36Speaker 2: a robot. He talks. He's such a robotic guy. He's
- 40:39Speaker 2: already going after Stephanic.
- 40:40Speaker 19: You know, at least Stephonic is nothing more than a
- 40:42Speaker 19: handmaiden for Donald Trump's extreme policy. She's a sickophant who
- 40:47Speaker 19: has been a repeated rubber stamp for Donald Trump's extreme agenda.
- 40:52Speaker 2: Yes, he's one of those guys on the conference call.
- 40:55Speaker 2: He repeats whatever he's told to. If the President didn't
- 40:58Speaker 2: spend all his time on a golf court. And you know,
- 41:01Speaker 2: she's supposed to use the word extreme. President Trump's extreme agenda,
- 41:04Speaker 2: with his extreme policies is extreme. Maga extreme magit? What
- 41:08Speaker 2: is so extreme? What extreme policies? What's the most extreme thing?
- 41:13Speaker 2: What ice simply enforcing the law? Following the law? That's extreme?
- 41:18Speaker 2: Since when there'll be ads against Hochel.
- 41:21Speaker 7: Now elis Stephonic is running for governor of New York
- 41:25Speaker 7: to do what.
- 41:25Speaker 2: He's This is a this is a hocal ad, This
- 41:28Speaker 2: is Hokal's actually used against Tephanic.
- 41:30Speaker 7: Now elist Stephonic is running for governor of New York
- 41:33Speaker 7: to do what she's always done, put Trump first.
- 41:37Speaker 5: She is phenomenal, she is a friend of.
- 41:39Speaker 7: Mine, phenomenal at putting Trump ahead of you.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Oh my god, she knows Trump. That's going to be
- 41:45Speaker 2: their whole campaign. So here's the problem for Republicans. You're
- 41:49Speaker 2: going to have possibly a big primary because Bruce Blakeman,
- 41:52Speaker 2: the brilliant county executive, best county executive in America Nassau County.
- 41:57Speaker 2: I hear he wants to run. So if he runs
- 42:01Speaker 2: against Stefanic, that is one tough choice. Stephonic. Everybody loves
- 42:05Speaker 2: she's a pit bull, she's great, but it's Blakeman who's
- 42:08Speaker 2: the actual executive who has actual management experience running a county,
- 42:12Speaker 2: which is like being the governor of Nassau County. So
- 42:16Speaker 2: he's the guy with more experience. He's the best county executive.
- 42:18Speaker 2: He'd be a great governor. That's a tough choice. That's
- 42:22Speaker 2: a very very tough primary. Now a Stephanic would probably
- 42:26Speaker 2: do better upstate because she's got that kind of an
- 42:30Speaker 2: upstate kind of a sound, and she talks kind of fashions.
- 42:32Speaker 2: She's very upstate. Bruce Blakeman is more of a sophisticated
- 42:35Speaker 2: city slicker type of guy. But half the votes for
- 42:39Speaker 2: governor are right here in New York City. You got
- 42:40Speaker 2: to do really well in New York City. I would
- 42:43Speaker 2: imagine Blakeman does much better in New York City than Stefanic.
- 42:48Speaker 2: He'd have to go upstate and campaign, but got a
- 42:51Speaker 2: hell of a hell of a resume. But this is
- 42:53Speaker 2: a really tough one for Republicans, a really tough primary
- 42:58Speaker 2: coming up next year. Hey, rock and Roll Hall of Fame,
- 43:03Speaker 2: you know, it gets tough. They've cleaned it up. It's
- 43:06Speaker 2: a much better rock and Roll Hall of Fame now
- 43:07Speaker 2: than it was a few years ago. But it's tough
- 43:10Speaker 2: with you. Like in the year, you know, the first
- 43:12Speaker 2: year rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Elvis Beatles, you know,
- 43:14Speaker 2: you put everybody in, but when you get the year
- 43:17Speaker 2: forty five, you know you're starting to run out of people.
- 43:19Speaker 2: So it was it was a bad company. I mean
- 43:24Speaker 2: they were okay, bad company, but rock and Roll Hall
- 43:27Speaker 2: of Fame. But then you got to perform the hits
- 43:31Speaker 2: of bad company. It's okay, I mean, they're not the
- 43:34Speaker 2: Beatles the Bad Company. They're not the Rolling Stones. You
- 43:37Speaker 2: know you're thirty seven, you run out of pa Hey,
- 43:39Speaker 2: we love Cyndi Lauper. Who could not like Cyndi Lauper
- 43:42Speaker 2: She got in.
- 43:43Speaker 20: I know that I stand on the shoulders of the
- 43:46Speaker 20: women in the industry that came before me, and my
- 43:50Speaker 20: shoulders are broad enough to have the women that come
- 43:54Speaker 20: after me stand online.
- 43:56Speaker 13: And and the other.
- 44:00Speaker 20: Thing that I thought was really important, which is why
- 44:03Speaker 20: I really came here tonight, is to tell you that
- 44:08Speaker 20: the little kid in me still believes that rock and
- 44:13Speaker 20: roll can save the world. So I just want to say,
- 44:17Speaker 20: now of all times, let's come together again and do
- 44:23Speaker 20: good in the world because he needs us.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll get right on that, but we love her.
- 44:29Speaker 2: Then they got a lot of great performances on the
- 44:31Speaker 2: show Toll Be, you know, tightened up, edited down Be,
- 44:34Speaker 2: a great TV special. Elton John performed, Elton John did
- 44:40Speaker 2: the Beach Boys hit. Elton John still sounds good. He
- 44:43Speaker 2: lost a lot of rains in his voice, but still
- 44:44Speaker 2: sounds good. David Letterman there, Santa Claus himself. Warren Zevon
- 44:50Speaker 2: gave Letteriman his guitar. I guess he knew he was
- 44:55Speaker 2: didn't have much longer to go and told let Himan
- 44:57Speaker 2: to take care of it. He brought it to the ceremony.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Was you he's done one of the Sun's. Well, here's
- 45:02Speaker 2: let him in on that show. And then the thing
- 45:04Speaker 2: about enjoy every sandwich.
- 45:06Speaker 1: You know that that's easy, but it's deeply meaningful.
- 45:09Speaker 12: And there's not a person in this room who hasn't
- 45:11Speaker 12: considered that.
- 45:13Speaker 2: But nobody can hang on to that on a daily basis.
- 45:16Speaker 2: But by God, isn't that true of life around the planet. Yeah,
- 45:20Speaker 2: I don't know what he's talking about, but it sounds good.
- 45:23Speaker 2: But the beard, the beard, I don't know. He said
- 45:25Speaker 2: he has that beard because he doesn't want you to
- 45:27Speaker 2: ever confuse him with the old David Letterman. He's like
- 45:29Speaker 2: a new, different guy. All right, Hey, mom, Donnie is
- 45:34Speaker 2: putting together his team. The five or six names we've
- 45:37Speaker 2: seen already are all ex de Blasio administration. One is
- 45:41Speaker 2: from the Adams administration. So it's gonna be bad. But again,
- 45:45Speaker 2: if it's all these Deblasio people picking to Blasio administration people,
- 45:49Speaker 2: we got through eight years at the Blasio. We'll get
- 45:51Speaker 2: through this. Now here's the interesting part. Brad Lander, who's
- 45:55Speaker 2: a really awful, awful guy. You saw him in the primaries,
- 45:58Speaker 2: really kooky, left wing, disgusting. He's Jewish, but he embraced
- 46:03Speaker 2: every anti Semitic, stupid, anti Israel thing in the world.
- 46:08Speaker 2: So people really just came to really dislike brad Lander.
- 46:13Speaker 2: But he was a big help to Mom Donnie in
- 46:15Speaker 2: the primary. But they've made it clear no brad Lander
- 46:18Speaker 2: in the administration. He's out. They have kicked him to
- 46:21Speaker 2: the curb. So there's one good thing Mom Donnie has done.
- 46:27Speaker 2: Why would he do that? Is he just so? Does
- 46:30Speaker 2: he not have any gratitude? Is he not loyal? Well?
- 46:34Speaker 2: People said that behind the scenes brad Lander, who's an
- 46:36Speaker 2: obnoxious guy, really obnoxious guy, they say, behind the scenes,
- 46:40Speaker 2: he was running around telling everybody he'll be running city hall.
- 46:43Speaker 2: He'll be running things in a Mam Donnie as well.
- 46:45Speaker 2: It got back to Mam Donnie, brad Lander is out.
- 46:49Speaker 2: So that's good. Hey, we'll take some calls in a minute.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Always a step ahead of the news. Here's more marks
- 47:03Speaker 1: amone on seven to ten wo r Oh.
- 47:07Speaker 2: My god, what's going on? I just heard Andy Williams
- 47:10Speaker 2: and jose Feliciano and Christophy is a kid. The tree
- 47:13Speaker 2: is up in Rockefeller Center, no lights on it yet.
- 47:16Speaker 2: They got a decorative but they actually put it up Saturday.
- 47:19Speaker 2: Let's take some calls. Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike,
- 47:22Speaker 2: how you doing, Good morning, Mark, that's Mike.
- 47:26Speaker 21: I think it's pretty obvious that the governor's race it's
- 47:28Speaker 21: going to be Hulcal slamming Trump and Stephonic trying to
- 47:35Speaker 21: slam Mandani. By the way, she should pronounce his name right,
- 47:38Speaker 21: because as trivial as it as it sounds, they'll hammer
- 47:41Speaker 21: her for it.
- 47:42Speaker 2: But I think, right yeah, wa Al Sharpton would say
- 47:45Speaker 2: to go Mam Dammy.
- 47:46Speaker 21: Yeah, I like that.
- 47:48Speaker 8: That's okay with me.
- 47:49Speaker 11: But right now Trump's name is more toxic than Mom Danny's,
- 47:53Speaker 11: and it's unfortunate, and I think Stephonic will run away
- 47:56Speaker 11: from Trump. And Hulks mentioned Trump's name in every sets
- 48:00Speaker 11: of every speech she makes, and I think it's really
- 48:03Speaker 11: a problem for Stephanic.
- 48:05Speaker 2: I don't know, a year from now, you're going to
- 48:07Speaker 2: be better being linked to Trump than to Mom Donnie and.
- 48:11Speaker 21: From your mouth to God's ears, I hope.
- 48:13Speaker 2: So all right, thanks for Collin. Yeah, yes, you will
- 48:16Speaker 2: be linked to Bray. Bruce Blakeman and Trump been very
- 48:19Speaker 2: good friends, very close. Trump's a big Bruce Blakeman supporter,
- 48:22Speaker 2: so they'll have the same problem too. Let's go to
- 48:25Speaker 2: uh Nat in New Hyde Park, Nat. How you doing good?
- 48:30Speaker 22: Good?
- 48:30Speaker 14: A great show, Mark as usual, I learned more from
- 48:34Speaker 14: you than everybody else.
- 48:36Speaker 2: Really, send you a bill for tuition. We're gonna be
- 48:39Speaker 2: like Harvard. We're gonna charge at ninety five thousand this semester.
- 48:43Speaker 14: Go ahead, Okay, Anyway, I think Stephanic should go up
- 48:47Speaker 14: to Schumer's seat. I think she could easily beat AOC
- 48:50Speaker 14: and I think she would make a great senator. And
- 48:53Speaker 14: I think Blakeman would be a much better governor.
- 48:58Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what, that's a very very very good point.
- 49:00Speaker 2: That's an excellent point. With Schumer running, you know, nobody
- 49:04Speaker 2: could ever run against him. Had The problem is when
- 49:07Speaker 2: he was in the race, the big Republican donors all
- 49:10Speaker 2: wanted him because he that's Schumer's main business donor favors.
- 49:14Speaker 2: He takes care of the donors, so the Republicans everybody
- 49:18Speaker 2: got behind Schumer with him out of the race, AOC
- 49:21Speaker 2: is not big on those donor favors. For the first time,
- 49:23Speaker 2: a Republican would have a shot. It's a statewide race,
- 49:26Speaker 2: so Republican would have a shot. Stephani would be great
- 49:28Speaker 2: at senator. You're right, that's a good, good idea. Let's
- 49:32Speaker 2: go to Vincent and Brooklyn.
- 49:34Speaker 22: Vincent, how you doing, Good morning, Mark, I'm okay, Good morning, Mara.
- 49:38Speaker 11: Mark.
- 49:39Speaker 22: Did you see that photo op that Mandami took with
- 49:41Speaker 22: his transition team the day after the election? Yeah, those women,
- 49:46Speaker 22: it looked like it was the escape from the dog pound.
- 49:49Speaker 22: Should hand out leashes pound mob. Everybody talking about Trump
- 50:00Speaker 22: playing golf, well, at least he's playing golf on golf
- 50:03Speaker 22: courses that he built with his own money and his
- 50:08Speaker 22: own construction company, whereas Obama was playing basketball at the
- 50:13Speaker 22: White House on a two hundred and fifty million dollar
- 50:16Speaker 22: basketball court that we, the sucker citizens paid for. So
- 50:21Speaker 22: these people better get their fact straight. Trump is playing
- 50:25Speaker 22: on two hours a week, which is actually good physical
- 50:29Speaker 22: exercise for a man like him, and we're getting sucking
- 50:35Speaker 22: for the bill of Obama's basketball court. Marking the business
- 50:40Speaker 22: pages of the New York post yesterday, Charlie Gasparino had
- 50:44Speaker 22: a good article about Zoramondami style alleged takeover everything. Thank God,
- 50:52Speaker 22: in nineteen seventy five, you carry and feelings, Roatan, they
- 50:58Speaker 22: played put in this law called the Financial Emergency Act
- 51:02Speaker 22: of nineteen seventy five. Most of the TATS revenue, since
- 51:07Speaker 22: New York is already on the water, any new tax revenue,
- 51:10Speaker 22: the bond holders got first DIBs on it, not Mandanmi.
- 51:14Speaker 22: He doesn't realize. He doesn't realize that a lot of
- 51:17Speaker 22: the things he's claiming he's gonna.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Do and Alred he knows he can't do. But you're right, Vincent,
- 51:22Speaker 2: great call is always great point. Yeah, check out that article,
- 51:25Speaker 2: Charlie Gasprino points. I remember New York almost went bankrupt
- 51:28Speaker 2: and the bond holders that arrescue Will Carrie and those
- 51:32Speaker 2: guys put in some real protections against the mom. Donnie.
- 51:36Speaker 2: You might not have realized at the time how important
- 51:38Speaker 2: it was, but it's going to come into play now
- 51:40Speaker 2: to prevent Mamdani from doing anything too crazy. Hey, when
- 51:43Speaker 2: we come back, Miranda Divine will be with us. The
- 51:46Speaker 2: great columnists coming up next on seven to ten WR.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Zimon Show on wor Well.
- 51:55Speaker 2: Miranda Divine, the biggest and best columnist around. You can
- 51:59Speaker 2: read a column in the New York Posts. Make sure
- 52:00Speaker 2: you listen to her excellent podcast. It's called pod Force one,
- 52:05Speaker 2: Great guests every week. Podforce one is available wherever you
- 52:08Speaker 2: get podcasts. And get her latest book, The Big Guys.
- 52:12Speaker 2: Whether she's written some great bestsellers. Miranda Devine, How you doing, Hey?
- 52:18Speaker 9: Thanks so much, Mike, I'm great.
- 52:19Speaker 2: Hey. I love this column about Michelle Obama. What is
- 52:23Speaker 2: she doing? She's been on this whining tour complaining about
- 52:26Speaker 2: how bad America was to her. What is that? What
- 52:29Speaker 2: got into her?
- 52:32Speaker 9: Well, my personal theory is that her complaints are just
- 52:37Speaker 9: so absurd. You know, she says it was such a
- 52:40Speaker 9: burden to have hair and makeup and fashion stylists when
- 52:44Speaker 9: she was at the White House, and you know how
- 52:47Speaker 9: tough life was. I just think that she's trying to
- 52:51Speaker 9: portray herself as a victim because now that the Commings
- 52:54Speaker 9: are in charge of her husband's party, she has to
- 52:59Speaker 9: kind of stopped them asking why she has so many
- 53:02Speaker 9: mansions and try and make them feel sorry for her.
- 53:06Speaker 2: Ah, that's a good point, but her complaining somebody who
- 53:11Speaker 2: has a multiple twenty five million dollar mansions and flying
- 53:15Speaker 2: around in private jets all over the place. But it's
- 53:19Speaker 2: tough for people like her and Bill Clinton and to
- 53:23Speaker 2: go back to obscurity, isn't it. They just can't get
- 53:27Speaker 2: off the stage.
- 53:29Speaker 9: So hard for them, you know, my heart leads. We've
- 53:33Speaker 9: got Nancy Pelosi's the other one. She's decided, at the
- 53:36Speaker 9: grand old age of eighty five, that she might decide
- 53:39Speaker 9: to retire in a couple of years. And I think
- 53:44Speaker 9: that she's doing it just in the nick of time
- 53:47Speaker 9: before Zoram you know, tax the rich Mam Danny and
- 53:51Speaker 9: his crew take over the party and start asking questions
- 53:56Speaker 9: about her little one hundred and forty million dollar hall
- 54:00Speaker 9: that she's dragging away from her stock tips, very very prescient,
- 54:06Speaker 9: her little little, you know, stock market portfolio.
- 54:12Speaker 2: That's a very interesting theory that all of these dirty
- 54:15Speaker 2: politicians are going into hiding before the Communists take over.
- 54:19Speaker 2: But Mamdani so far, the people he's chosen Transition team others,
- 54:24Speaker 2: they're all extra Blasio people. So we got through Deblasio
- 54:28Speaker 2: for eight years, We'll get through this, won't we.
- 54:33Speaker 9: Look, the problem is I think Deblasio was always high
- 54:39Speaker 9: and late to work and I'm off going to his
- 54:43Speaker 9: gym in Brooklyn, and you know, he just didn't do
- 54:46Speaker 9: a lot, and so he still created Mayhem and the
- 54:50Speaker 9: city just went downhill. So palpably on his watch. But
- 54:56Speaker 9: Mamdani is more of an ideologue. You know, He's more
- 54:59Speaker 9: determined and he has more energy. He really wants to
- 55:04Speaker 9: shake up the place. And that's what I worry about.
- 55:08Speaker 9: And the other thing is that with Deblasia, we're coming
- 55:12Speaker 9: off a pretty good level. You know, it was the
- 55:15Speaker 9: Rudy Giuliani Bloomberg City, and so there was a long
- 55:19Speaker 9: way to fall. But we don't have a long way
- 55:22Speaker 9: to fall anymore before we're just off the planet. The
- 55:26Speaker 9: city is already difficult to live in. Eric Adams has
- 55:30Speaker 9: sort of arrested the decline a little bit, but once
- 55:34Speaker 9: he's gone, you know, we're going to have violence interrupters,
- 55:39Speaker 9: social workers in law of police and already we have
- 55:44Speaker 9: governors from red states like Ronda Santis in Florida putting
- 55:50Speaker 9: out feelers for our NYPD officers. They're going to give
- 55:54Speaker 9: them bonuses if they move, and I think it's very
- 55:57Speaker 9: difficult for them not to sort of accept the good
- 56:01Speaker 9: ones anyway, not to accept those bribes to leave New York.
- 56:07Speaker 22: Hey.
- 56:08Speaker 2: Miranda Devine does an excellent podcast, one of the best
- 56:11Speaker 2: podcasts out there. It's called Podforce one. The latest one
- 56:14Speaker 2: is Eric Trump Boy. That was interesting. Tell us about
- 56:16Speaker 2: your impressions of Eric Trump.
- 56:20Speaker 9: He is just a really delightful person. And I guess
- 56:23Speaker 9: the big takeout I get from all of the Trump
- 56:28Speaker 9: five children is just how well adjusted and kind of
- 56:32Speaker 9: decent they are. Eric Trump is really, as his father
- 56:37Speaker 9: calls him, a good boy, and he described his childhood.
- 56:41Speaker 9: His mother, Ivana Trump, was really tough. She was, you know,
- 56:49Speaker 9: check from basically behind the iron curtain. She was a
- 56:53Speaker 9: champion skier, and so she really ruled their family with
- 57:00Speaker 9: and discipline. And what Eric said was if it got
- 57:05Speaker 9: past my mum to my father, you knew were really
- 57:08Speaker 9: in trouble, But it really didn't because she just made
- 57:12Speaker 9: sure that all those energetic kids with type A personalities
- 57:17Speaker 9: that Eric describes them were held in line. And their
- 57:22Speaker 9: father also during the holidays, got them to go and
- 57:26Speaker 9: work on his various construction sites for minimum wage. And
- 57:31Speaker 9: Eric said he absolutely loved it, like he loved working
- 57:34Speaker 9: with his hands, like they were absolutely exhausted by the end.
- 57:37Speaker 11: Of the day.
- 57:38Speaker 9: And his father also said no drinking, no smoking, no drugs,
- 57:45Speaker 9: and that was the one ironclad rule for the family.
- 57:48Speaker 9: And Eric said, look, by the end of the workday,
- 57:50Speaker 9: we were so exhausted, and we also knew how hard
- 57:55Speaker 9: it had been to earn that twenty bucks that we
- 57:59Speaker 9: you know, I just didn't want to spend it on
- 58:01Speaker 9: a slab of beer. And he also said that, you know,
- 58:05Speaker 9: he went to all the best schools, colleges, etc. And
- 58:09Speaker 9: he said most of his peers ended up in rehab
- 58:13Speaker 9: or some sort of problem because they had too much
- 58:16Speaker 9: time and too much money.
- 58:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a fascinating podcast. Go listen to its pod,
- 58:22Speaker 2: Force one. Miranda Devine's podcast latest episode is Eric Trump.
- 58:26Speaker 2: So you wrote the definitive book on Hunter Biden. So
- 58:29Speaker 2: are you saying Eric Trump was a little better raised
- 58:32Speaker 2: than Hunter was.
- 58:35Speaker 12: Yes, yes, far better.
- 58:37Speaker 9: And look, I don't blame Hunter, honestly, his father is
- 58:41Speaker 9: just the most treacherous and dishonest politician I think I
- 58:49Speaker 9: have ever encountered, and deeply selfish. And so when you
- 58:54Speaker 9: know that great tragedy happened in Hunter's life where his
- 58:57Speaker 9: mother who was killed in a car crash, and his
- 59:00Speaker 9: little sister died as well, and he and his brother
- 59:03Speaker 9: were in the back seat quite badly injured. His father
- 59:08Speaker 9: had just been elected to the Senate in a fluke,
- 59:12Speaker 9: and he could have forgone that great opportunity to stay
- 59:18Speaker 9: at home and look after his kids, but he didn't.
- 59:22Speaker 9: And I think all of Hunter's problems stemmed from that.
- 59:25Speaker 9: He was brought up. You know, his aunt was very decent,
- 59:28Speaker 9: his uncle, extended family brought him up, and Joe would
- 59:32Speaker 9: come home, he claimed every night on the Amtrak of
- 59:37Speaker 9: I hear other stories that when he did come home,
- 59:40Speaker 9: it was too late to do anything other than, you know,
- 59:44Speaker 9: looking on them when they slept. But anyway, I just
- 59:47Speaker 9: don't think he was a very good father. And you know,
- 59:53Speaker 9: poor poor Hunter, this motherless kid. And then his stepmother,
- 1:00:00Speaker 9: Joe Biden, when she came on the scene, and a
- 1:00:02Speaker 9: few years later when she was already on the scene,
- 1:00:05Speaker 9: but when she married Joe moved in, Hunter just felt
- 1:00:10Speaker 9: she didn't like him, and so that was another burden
- 1:00:13Speaker 9: to put up with. So and then his father, you know,
- 1:00:16Speaker 9: instead of letting him be an author or an artist,
- 1:00:19Speaker 9: which is what he wanted, his father made him be
- 1:00:21Speaker 9: the bag man for the family and go into business,
- 1:00:24Speaker 9: and he didn't really want to do that, so you
- 1:00:27Speaker 9: can hardly you can sort of understand why he fell
- 1:00:30Speaker 9: into drugs.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: Yes, that's pretty interesting, and you have a good heart
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: and a good amount of sympathy for him. You should
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: get her book, Laptop from Hell and The Big Guy,
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: the two best books on the on the Biden family.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: So hey, we only got a minute left. Tell me
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: you brought this up last time. This was so fascinating.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: I got so much reaction to this. The reason for
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: the Trump arrangements in him, the reason they hate him
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: so much, it's what was it? You said? It was
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: the masculinity, that he's like a daddy. Why do they
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: hate him so much?
- 1:01:07Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean it really is deranged. It really seems
- 1:01:11Speaker 9: to be a psychological problem, and women are particularly afflicted,
- 1:01:16Speaker 9: and it just seems like they have daddy problems. You know,
- 1:01:20Speaker 9: he is unabashedly a throwback masculine, you know, something that
- 1:01:26Speaker 9: the Left has been trying to stamp out for the
- 1:01:29Speaker 9: last twenty years, calling it toxic masculinity, making little boys
- 1:01:34Speaker 9: be ashamed of their intrinsic natures, which you know, those
- 1:01:38Speaker 9: intrinsic natures are what have allowed civilization to survive, human flourishing.
- 1:01:45Speaker 9: And you know, you stamp out strong men, what do
- 1:01:48Speaker 9: you get? You get a lot of toxic females. And
- 1:01:51Speaker 9: I think that's what trump arrangements and drum me. I mean,
- 1:01:54Speaker 9: I write about Jennifer Welsh, who's this atheist podcaster I
- 1:01:58Speaker 9: had never heard of until just recently. She's been elevated
- 1:02:02Speaker 9: as the kind of Democrats answer to Joe Rogan. And
- 1:02:06Speaker 9: she is the most toxic person I have ever seen.
- 1:02:10Speaker 11: In my life.
- 1:02:11Speaker 9: Really, just so such a self hating white woman. She
- 1:02:16Speaker 9: was there at Mamdani's victory party and she's just going
- 1:02:20Speaker 9: on about She's talking to two non white people who lefties,
- 1:02:26Speaker 9: and she's just talking about how, oh, if there were
- 1:02:30Speaker 9: white people here at this party, the music would be terrible,
- 1:02:33Speaker 9: and Americans have no culture and we need to teach
- 1:02:37Speaker 9: the crusty old white people about culture. We have to
- 1:02:41Speaker 9: teach them. She's just scary, scary woman.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: Wow. Well, Miranda Devine brilliant as always. Get her podcast.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: You got to listen to this podcast every week. It's
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: a pod force one wherever you get your podcast. Reader
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: columns in the New York Post. Make sure you get
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: her latest book, The Big Guy, Fascinating stuff about the Bidens.

- 1:03:17Speaker 2: somewhere today, I think in the final hour on the
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: Sean Hannity Show. And then you got Jesse Kelly at
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: six and Jimmy Fayla. Boy, what a great show every
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: night nine to midnight. It's all right here on seven

- 1:03:47Speaker 2: to about forty fifth Street, so it's gonna be a
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: traffic mess. I'll be on the Sean Handity Show later today,
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: I think in the final hour. Otherwise I'll be back
