- 0:01Speaker 1: The Whole Archy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio Hodarchy.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Yes, indeed, Jimmy Hendrix there on the Radio Hoedarchy Big
- 0:10Speaker 2: Show this Monday afternoon. The time is twenty five past five.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Hey, fellows, had a good one today. You're going to
- 0:15Speaker 3: like this one. Have you guys ever been married before?
- 0:18Speaker 2: Yes?
- 0:18Speaker 3: Once? Yeah, yeah, yeah, same once. I was at home
- 0:23Speaker 3: today and there's a knock on the door and there's
- 0:25Speaker 3: a gentleman at the door, a gentleman caller actually, and
- 0:29Speaker 3: he was wearing a courier outfit and that's when I
- 0:30Speaker 3: knew he was there to deliver something to the house.
- 0:33Speaker 3: And then the other thing that clued me out was
- 0:35Speaker 3: he was carrying a massive, massive box and it turns
- 0:39Speaker 3: out that it was a headboard for our bed in
- 0:43Speaker 3: our bedroom. You know about headboards, yes yet?
- 0:46Speaker 4: Oh no?
- 0:46Speaker 3: Yeah. So my feeling about headboards, and we've talked about
- 0:50Speaker 3: it on the show before, is there are a complete
- 0:51Speaker 3: waste of money. There is no need for a headboard.
- 0:54Speaker 3: And I don't know what actually what can you google
- 0:57Speaker 3: that Poe's on? Can you find out what the point
- 0:59Speaker 3: of AA head borders? So I think they're just a
- 1:01Speaker 3: complete waste of money, do you know what I mean? Sure,
- 1:06Speaker 3: and my wife knows that I think that they're a
- 1:08Speaker 3: complete waste of money. And we've never had a headboard
- 1:12Speaker 3: in the ten years or so that we've been together. Sure,
- 1:15Speaker 3: and she is. We've moved into a new place and
- 1:18Speaker 3: she's thought to herself, you know what, I want to headboard.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I'm not going to talk to my husband about spending
- 1:23Speaker 3: this money.
- 1:24Speaker 2: She's making an executive order.
- 1:26Speaker 3: She is. Now, I'm just going to buy it, and
- 1:29Speaker 3: he can my husband be damned, he can be damned.
- 1:34Speaker 3: He can like it, exactly right. So she would rather
- 1:37Speaker 3: put up with me complaining about it, which I will, yes,
- 1:41Speaker 3: for X amount of time, and then she's smooth sailing
- 1:43Speaker 3: after that, isn't it? Because eventually I'm just going to
- 1:46Speaker 3: shut up about it? Yeah? Or am I?
- 1:51Speaker 4: I've googled it?
- 1:52Speaker 2: Yes?
- 1:52Speaker 4: So originally they were supposed to obviously protect the wall.
- 1:57Speaker 3: When you're young.
- 1:58Speaker 2: That's my big that's the big that's the big issue
- 2:00Speaker 2: that I have with headboards is the amount of bloody
- 2:02Speaker 2: holes are put in walls? What from the headboard?
- 2:06Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly exactly, just the headboards do did doo.
- 2:12Speaker 4: It provides neck and back support, and it also is hack.
- 2:15Speaker 3: And back support as opposed to what the wall does.
- 2:19Speaker 4: It also is handy if you're a night owl and
- 2:20Speaker 4: you like to sit up reading.
- 2:23Speaker 3: But does it read a book for you?
- 2:25Speaker 2: I've changed my view on headboards.
- 2:28Speaker 4: I have a headboard, yes, because they protect the wall
- 2:31Speaker 4: as well from.
- 2:32Speaker 2: What But also the thing I find is because I'm
- 2:35Speaker 2: such a restless sleeper Mogi, my beard moves around quite
- 2:40Speaker 2: a lot, and so I'd often find when we didn't
- 2:42Speaker 2: have a headboard, pillow slippage down between the gap between
- 2:47Speaker 2: the gap, and I found that doesn't happen with the
- 2:49Speaker 2: headboard obviously, because it captures the pillow and doesn't allow
- 2:53Speaker 2: it to slip down.
- 2:55Speaker 3: In that case, I can understand it. Sure we don't
- 2:57Speaker 3: have that problem.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Does your headboard new one?
- 3:00Speaker 3: You?
- 3:00Speaker 4: Probably you haven't set it up yet, still in the box,
- 3:03Speaker 4: But it depends. It has to be connected to the
- 3:05Speaker 4: mattress itself. Otherwise it's just another wall that could split
- 3:09Speaker 4: away from.
- 3:09Speaker 3: The exactly, so they have it generally it connects to
- 3:12Speaker 3: the base like a bid frame exactly exactly. So Yeah,
- 3:17Speaker 3: I'm looking forward to the chat when I get home
- 3:18Speaker 3: because I'm not I'm not installing it. I'm going to
- 3:21Speaker 3: be quite petty about this. Sure, I think I've earned
- 3:25Speaker 3: a bit of pettiness around this, don't you think. What Ever,
- 3:28Speaker 3: if I knew my wife didn't like something, and she
- 3:30Speaker 3: made it clear over ten years, I would never then
- 3:33Speaker 3: go out and buy that thing without any conversation whatsoever.
- 3:37Speaker 3: You see it for our pool table, got a poll table,
- 3:41Speaker 3: and the motorbike and that, and the dartboard and that. Yes,
- 3:44Speaker 3: but it's only because she was There was no way
- 3:46Speaker 3: she was going to let me have those things.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Bar and as well.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I've got a bar there as well. And I've
- 3:52Speaker 3: got the hydroponics grown up in the ceiling there. She
- 3:54Speaker 3: doesn't know about that, did you.
- 3:56Speaker 2: And the electronic chair massager.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I've got the big train seat obviously down tens
- 4:04Speaker 3: of thousands of dollars that one. But that's my peak,
- 4:07Speaker 3: that's my piece.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Yeah, sure, yeah.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I reckon be pity about it as well as.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so I'll be pity about it and
- 4:14Speaker 3: I'll tell you how it goes tomorrow. We'll give you
- 4:15Speaker 3: an update.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Actually, mate, Just going to do some quick radio if
- 4:18Speaker 4: that's all good. Just quickly. Has your partner ever bought
- 4:22Speaker 4: something without telling you about it?
- 4:24Speaker 3: New Zealand? Oh good see.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Text us three four eight three and you can get
- 4:28Speaker 4: a fifty nine day vouch it.
- 4:30Speaker 2: That's really irritated me.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Key the whole Big Shows with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue
- 4:37Speaker 1: and Kesy.
- 4:38Speaker 2: The dudes there on the radio Hoki Big Show this
- 4:41Speaker 2: Tuesday evening. I'll tell you what a bit blowy out
- 4:44Speaker 2: there feelers?
- 4:45Speaker 3: Is it? Mate?
- 4:48Speaker 2: It looks a bit nippy. I have to borrow Keysy's
- 4:51Speaker 2: big woolen jacket when I go to the car path.
- 4:54Speaker 4: No, because then it'll smell like darries just tucking there.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Weekend just gone, fellers. I was at my wife's nitball,
- 5:00Speaker 4: you know how, I was going watch.
- 5:03Speaker 3: And support. Yes, and for the first time.
- 5:08Speaker 4: I've been going for years and years and years, and
- 5:09Speaker 4: I'd never scored before, so it was my first time
- 5:13Speaker 4: sort of getting to go along to the nipple and
- 5:14Speaker 4: actually scoring.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Sure have you ever done that? No? Scored? Yeah?
- 5:23Speaker 2: Specifically knitball you're talking about?
- 5:25Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, nah, Because I've been going for years,
- 5:28Speaker 4: you know what I mean, And I've always wanted to.
- 5:30Speaker 3: But you wouldn't know how to do, would you?
- 5:32Speaker 4: No, you did, right, I had no idea how to.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Don't you spend all your time in the car hiding
- 5:36Speaker 2: behind a newspaper with hules cut out so that you
- 5:38Speaker 2: can still see stuff?
- 5:41Speaker 4: Oh so yeah, no that was That was a few
- 5:43Speaker 4: years back when she was playing outdoors and now she's
- 5:47Speaker 4: playing indoors. I can't do that, Simon on the ground. Yeah,
- 5:51Speaker 4: I still got the same newspaper.
- 5:52Speaker 2: But you put it over your lap, now, yeah.
- 5:56Speaker 3: That's right.
- 5:57Speaker 4: And anyway, so I was sitting there at the weekend
- 5:59Speaker 4: watching the game with us paper.
- 6:00Speaker 3: On my lap. Yeah, with a whole punch yet.
- 6:04Speaker 4: And they were like, oh, do you want to score?
- 6:08Speaker 4: And I was like, yeah, I'd love to score, you
- 6:10Speaker 4: know what I mean? Yeah, But as you say, it
- 6:13Speaker 4: was it actually quite full on because you know, you've
- 6:15Speaker 4: actually you've really got to be concentrating.
- 6:17Speaker 3: It's quite intensive, you know what I mean. It's pretty
- 6:19Speaker 3: easy though, isn't it. Wow? Yeah? Yeah, I've been doing
- 6:23Speaker 3: it for longer than you, so for me, it's right easy, calm, easy, go,
- 6:28Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. Yeah, for me, it was
- 6:30Speaker 3: like it actually used a lot of brain power. I
- 6:32Speaker 3: thought it wouldn't I just thought it'd be like you
- 6:33Speaker 3: could just you get in there and your instincts just
- 6:35Speaker 3: take over. Yah.
- 6:36Speaker 4: But for me, the whole time, I was like concentrating
- 6:39Speaker 4: hard and I was quite I think the person who.
- 6:41Speaker 3: I was struggling not to fall asleep. Wow, well yeah
- 6:46Speaker 3: so boring.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Yeah at one point yeah yeah yeah yeah, And the
- 6:48Speaker 4: person I was scoring with like they were trying to
- 6:51Speaker 4: make convo and I was like, no, not I need.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Yeah yeah yeah.
- 6:57Speaker 4: But we got there in the end, and yeah, it
- 6:59Speaker 4: was great to just to get hands on and get
- 7:01Speaker 4: stuck in.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's really complicated netball scoring, isn't it.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Yeah? Plus one good one, And then about a minute later, message, yeah,
- 7:13Speaker 3: we gotta Missy too. Do you write down the missy tortos.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Missy Toto, Mine's miss missy tittle where I grow.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Missy Toto, where I grow up? Do you shout that
- 7:21Speaker 3: out as well, missy turtle?
- 7:23Speaker 2: Yeah, mine's messy tickle, missy tickle from where I come from?
- 7:31Speaker 3: Is it? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Hey, by the way, up after six o'clock, it's your
- 7:36Speaker 4: chance to get yourself on the drawer to join us

- 9:03Speaker 3: Good stuff. Yeah, be beautiful mid day at the Minogue
- 9:07Speaker 3: household today. If I can say, it's one of the
- 9:11Speaker 3: big big milestones. Hordy Jay. You won't know about this,
- 9:14Speaker 3: Kezy obviously because you're steerile. Hang on, I just haven't
- 9:19Speaker 3: my daughter there and the it was the last day
- 9:24Speaker 3: at little school years she's just turned five years old. Well,
- 9:30Speaker 3: actually that's coming up. That's coming up a couple of
- 9:32Speaker 3: days there. And so at the end of an air Jayson, Yeah,
- 9:37Speaker 3: I mean you've had four daughters, you've been through that before. Yeah.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Man, it's a very emotional time though it is. And
- 9:44Speaker 2: dropping my girls off for their first day at school.
- 9:47Speaker 2: This is a true story for for all of my girls.
- 9:51Speaker 2: It turns out because I was talking to my wife
- 9:54Speaker 2: or that the other day when I dropped one of
- 9:56Speaker 2: my girls up at school for the first day. I
- 9:59Speaker 2: dropped off and she was a teary eyed so old
- 10:01Speaker 2: houghdy Jay drove back at lunchtime and sat in the
- 10:04Speaker 2: car park and just made sure that she was sitting
- 10:07Speaker 2: with you know, she had friends around here, because I
- 10:10Speaker 2: was worried that she wasn't going to be Okay, you didn't.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Have any friends. Well, it was a Sunday, wasn't it.
- 10:14Speaker 3: And it was a Sunday.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Yeah, it had been a busy day and I got
- 10:18Speaker 2: the days wrong, so I really stuff with it.
- 10:21Speaker 4: It's the thought of the love that counts.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Yeah, totally. But I did do that for my daughter Scarlet,
- 10:26Speaker 2: And interestingly, my wife said, you did that for all
- 10:31Speaker 2: the girls, and I was like, did I? Because I
- 10:33Speaker 2: got quite emotional when they went to score their little.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Backpacks, because it is such a transition that nearly small
- 10:40Speaker 3: human beings.
- 10:41Speaker 2: They are very small.
- 10:43Speaker 3: To yourself, jeers, I'm making this big transition from you know,
- 10:46Speaker 3: from little school sure to the big time. So well
- 10:50Speaker 3: that's the thing.
- 10:50Speaker 4: So your daughter's now five, so she'd be starting primary school.
- 10:54Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, she's she's done,
- 10:57Speaker 3: so we call little school college. So now she's going
- 11:01Speaker 3: to university and she'll be doing a doctorate.
- 11:05Speaker 2: There and law finish.
- 11:09Speaker 4: I thought little school was like kindergarten.
- 11:12Speaker 3: They say that because of her mental acumen, her intelligence
- 11:18Speaker 3: to write you all that sort of thing. College is
- 11:21Speaker 3: a little school, and really university is I mean it's
- 11:24Speaker 3: a small pond here.
- 11:25Speaker 2: It's so funny because my youngest now, when she left
- 11:29Speaker 2: little school, just went straight into a professorship.
- 11:33Speaker 3: At a university.
- 11:35Speaker 2: What a professorship, Yeah, started lecturing ahead of I think
- 11:39Speaker 2: she was head of philosophy and religious studies.
- 11:43Speaker 4: That.
- 11:44Speaker 2: You know, so many accomplished accomplishments. It's very hard to
- 11:49Speaker 2: keep up with so many professorship It was at Oxford,
- 11:52Speaker 2: actually in Oxford, yeah right.
- 11:55Speaker 4: Actually, make you one thing I've always wondered, what because
- 11:57Speaker 4: you never say your daughter's actual name, what's her actual name?
- 11:59Speaker 3: You just calling my daughter? Yeah, Mike, her name is?
- 12:03Speaker 3: Her name is Mike, Mike. Yeah, yeah, Well she she
- 12:07Speaker 3: was named after my dad. My dad's name was Mike, right,
- 12:11Speaker 3: and his dad's name is Mike. So it's a family tradition.
- 12:14Speaker 4: Right, Even though she's female, she's called Mike Minogue are.
- 12:20Speaker 3: You going to make it six? This man? You're saying,
- 12:23Speaker 3: just because she's a woman, she can't be called Mike.
- 12:25Speaker 3: It's a pretty low ba you're sitting for these women, Keezy,
- 12:27Speaker 3: I've got to say, and I've headed up to him.
- 12:29Speaker 3: I'm just going to stop you right there, mate.
- 12:31Speaker 2: It's twenty twenty four keys.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Wait, Can I just say I have no issues with
- 12:35Speaker 4: any women that want to be called Mike?
- 12:36Speaker 3: Is that better?
- 12:37Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 12:37Speaker 3: Sure that's what you say publicly, but privately we know
- 12:40Speaker 3: perceiving these ads.
- 12:43Speaker 1: The Hurdichy Big Show week days from four on Radio Hodach.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Kings of the Stone Age, there, fellas as we you
- 12:50Speaker 2: have a closer to the long weekend. What are your
- 12:52Speaker 2: plans for the long weekend?
- 12:53Speaker 3: By the way, Magie, Well, we've got some funo up
- 12:55Speaker 3: in the house.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Oh yes, I remember you're saying that.
- 12:58Speaker 3: As discussed a little bit earlier in show Yously the
- 13:00Speaker 3: mother in law there, yes, and put the plans in
- 13:03Speaker 3: place for the couch and their sister in law, so
- 13:07Speaker 3: be doing a little bit of stuff around the house.
- 13:09Speaker 3: I'd imagine. Yeah, I'm not too sure, man, I'd like
- 13:13Speaker 3: to do something really exciting, but I imagine I'll do some work,
- 13:17Speaker 3: a bit of yard work as well. Yeah.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Good, Now, I believe you're playing dodgeball with your wife tonight, Kizy.
- 13:24Speaker 4: I did say off here that my wife has signed
- 13:27Speaker 4: us up for dodgeball tonight, even though we have a
- 13:29Speaker 4: six am flight tomorrow morning. Yes, christ Church, visit the
- 13:34Speaker 4: in laws, play golf with her dad. Visit a few
- 13:36Speaker 4: mates down there, then come back. But yeah, dodgeball. I've
- 13:39Speaker 4: never played it in my life other than at Pe
- 13:41Speaker 4: when I was a youngster. Sure, but I imagine I'll
- 13:44Speaker 4: be good at it.
- 13:44Speaker 3: It's one of those sports where when people are good
- 13:49Speaker 3: at it, they act like their absolute legends. The ego
- 13:55Speaker 3: that comes with the people that play. Whenever you see
- 13:57Speaker 3: stuff on Instagram, it's really entertaining because two stuff that
- 14:01Speaker 3: was pretty cool, but they just think that they got.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Did you guys, Did you guys ever used to play
- 14:06Speaker 2: king ball? Ever heard of king ball? It's with a
- 14:09Speaker 2: tennis ball and you try. It's the same thing where
- 14:11Speaker 2: you try and brand each other and if you can
- 14:13Speaker 2: get but you wear like your sandals, is sort of
- 14:17Speaker 2: you just to flick the ball.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Game the other person couldn't moved. That is what we
- 14:23Speaker 3: played and you get brand free.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Yes, totally, that sounds fun. It was a great game ball.
- 14:28Speaker 4: We did a similar thing where one person had to
- 14:30Speaker 4: start at one end of the gym and run down
- 14:33Speaker 4: and touch the other wall without getting hit by the ball,
- 14:35Speaker 4: and then run back. Yes, similar thing. Everyone else is
- 14:37Speaker 4: trying to hit them with the tennis ball, and then
- 14:39Speaker 4: if you get to the other end, you get a point.
- 14:40Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I was always really good at that game because no, why, okay,
- 14:44Speaker 2: it's going to be self deprecating here, because you've got
- 14:47Speaker 2: a big penis. I've got very skinny legs, you know.
- 14:51Speaker 2: And back in the day when I was a young feller,
- 14:53Speaker 2: I was as skinny as a whippet. Yeah, so very
- 14:55Speaker 2: hard to hit hoidy J and I moved like a leopard.
- 15:00Speaker 3: And you had a massive downstairs.
- 15:01Speaker 2: I did have a massive downstairs, and strangely enough, that's
- 15:05Speaker 2: always how I got caught out.
- 15:09Speaker 4: Do you want to come along to baseball to dodgeball
- 15:11Speaker 4: tonight with us?
- 15:12Speaker 2: That? Nah, I'm going to go home and take some
- 15:15Speaker 2: pena sillain and painkillers and.
- 15:17Speaker 4: Oh, because you've got the dodgeball growing under your armpet
- 15:19Speaker 4: right now, it feels like it yeah, yeah, yeah, what are.
- 15:21Speaker 3: You doing this weekend?
- 15:22Speaker 2: I haven't got I need a whole break for that.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Oh The hold Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio Hodakey
