- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York has the Mark
- 0:04Speaker 1: some Own show on seven tenor.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hey, Oh, a lot to get to today. We'll get
- 0:12Speaker 2: to the Kennedy Center. We'll get to de Laney Hall.
- 0:14Speaker 2: We'll get to Colbert the truth is coming out about
- 0:17Speaker 2: his show. We'll get to crazy Jill Biden. We'll get
- 0:20Speaker 2: to the Israel Day Parade. We'll get to La Mayor Race,
- 0:23Speaker 2: we get to the World Cup, and a whole lot
- 0:26Speaker 2: more coming up. Hey, somehow it's only Monday. Look at that.
- 0:30Speaker 2: It's June already. It's June first today. How did that happen?
- 0:34Speaker 2: Remember in the dead of winter, in the blizzards, I said,
- 0:37Speaker 2: don't worry. Spring has come. Don't worry. Spring will be
- 0:39Speaker 2: here before you Now. The problem is fall will be
- 0:42Speaker 2: here before you know it. A winter will be here
- 0:44Speaker 2: before you know it. So a lot to get to today.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Let's just quickly do Iran peace talks going on. They're
- 0:53Speaker 2: working out they don't like the couple of things in
- 0:56Speaker 2: the deal I ran sense, so they're sending it back.
- 0:58Speaker 2: In the meantime, over the weekend, a couple of missile
- 1:01Speaker 2: strikes back and forth, Iran launching a drone. We knocked
- 1:05Speaker 2: it down Iran launching a drone at Kuwait. They knocked
- 1:09Speaker 2: it down to a little of that kind of stuff.
- 1:11Speaker 2: The Iranian president resigned, the president, not the new iatola.
- 1:17Speaker 2: The President of Iran resigned. Probably a smart move. I'm
- 1:21Speaker 2: I'm sure his insurance company is thrilled about that. Who
- 1:25Speaker 2: wants to be the president of Iran. If this deal
- 1:27Speaker 2: goes bad, they're going to start a round two of combat.
- 1:31Speaker 2: And as the president said, it's going to be cranked
- 1:35Speaker 2: up about a million notches this time, so he would
- 1:38Speaker 2: have a bomb hit him right on the head. So
- 1:41Speaker 2: he has already resigned. Good move on his part. So
- 1:46Speaker 2: you get all these crazy federal judges, most of them
- 1:50Speaker 2: left wing, kind of kookie federal judges, especially in Washington.
- 1:53Speaker 2: They're all crazy federal a crazy left wing, real Trump
- 1:58Speaker 2: hating Trump arrangements in so a bunch of rulings from
- 2:01Speaker 2: a bunch of federal judges. One of them said, you
- 2:04Speaker 2: can't put your name on the Kennedy Center. You're also
- 2:07Speaker 2: ruling you're not allowed to rebuild the Kennedy Center, which
- 2:12Speaker 2: is absolutely ridiculous. It's decaying, it's decrepid. Some say it's
- 2:15Speaker 2: even unsafe. About to crumble, the infrastructure of the plumb
- 2:20Speaker 2: everything's about to go needs to be rebuilt. Now, if
- 2:24Speaker 2: you got to rebuild the Kennedy Center, you know what
- 2:26Speaker 2: a good time to do it might be when you
- 2:27Speaker 2: got the greatest builder in America in the White House
- 2:30Speaker 2: who could do it for you. But now the judge
- 2:33Speaker 2: also ruled, well, there's a lot of rules. Now, this
- 2:37Speaker 2: is a Trump hating judge. So he ruled you can't
- 2:39Speaker 2: put your name on the Kennedy Center. Now, he may
- 2:42Speaker 2: have a legal case or he may not be wrong. Legally,
- 2:45Speaker 2: Kennedy Center was created by an Act of Congress, and
- 2:48Speaker 2: if you read the act that they wrote, it's specifically
- 2:50Speaker 2: to honor John F. Kennedy. It's to be the only
- 2:55Speaker 2: memorial in Washington, D C. For John F. Kennedy. Well,
- 2:57Speaker 2: they made it clear in this congressional ruling Congressional Act
- 3:01Speaker 2: that created the Kennedy Center, that it could only be
- 3:03Speaker 2: the Kennedy Center. So the judge may have a point
- 3:06Speaker 2: there when this goes to appeal, that could actually hold up.
- 3:09Speaker 2: But as far as not rebuilding it, well, the judge,
- 3:14Speaker 2: Judge Christopher R. Cooper, again left wing Trump arrangement syndrome.
- 3:19Speaker 2: You know, Harvard Yale, where's the bow tie? That kind
- 3:21Speaker 2: of a deal. But President Trump has apparently has had enough,
- 3:27Speaker 2: said he's done with the Kennedy Center, not going to
- 3:29Speaker 2: rebuild it. Let Congress rebuild it. It may be childish pouting,
- 3:34Speaker 2: but you know, I don't blame the guy. It give
- 3:35Speaker 2: him such a hard time. If he rebuilds it, it
- 3:39Speaker 2: could probably cost near a billion, maybe seven eight hundred million,
- 3:43Speaker 2: could be done in eight months a year if Congress
- 3:47Speaker 2: does it, If the government does it, it's going to
- 3:49Speaker 2: cost twenty five billion, and it's going to take fifteen
- 3:52Speaker 2: years if you're lucky. So it's not good for the
- 3:55Speaker 2: Kennedy Center. But now there's another. You know, there's the
- 3:59Speaker 2: mayor two hundred and fifty celebrations, all kinds of things
- 4:03Speaker 2: in Washington, including concerts and all that. Artists like crazy
- 4:07Speaker 2: pulling out of the concerts. Many of them are like
- 4:10Speaker 2: country artists, and a lot of them are not Trump haters,
- 4:14Speaker 2: but they're getting pressured from Hollywood, the music business, the
- 4:18Speaker 2: concert business, the left wing media types to pull out.
- 4:22Speaker 2: So they're pulling out. So President Trump has also said
- 4:27Speaker 2: maybe he'll just he'll he'll be the entertainment he can
- 4:30Speaker 2: actually draw more than most of these guys. But then
- 4:32Speaker 2: it becomes a political rally. But we'll see. You know,
- 4:37Speaker 2: the president always tweeting and truth socially and a lot
- 4:42Speaker 2: of social media, round the clock, in the middle of
- 4:45Speaker 2: the night, all of that. But you know who beats
- 4:46Speaker 2: him on that is JD. Vance. If you follow jd
- 4:50Speaker 2: Vance tweeting or social media, this guy tweets like every second.
- 4:54Speaker 2: You know, when you're the vice president of United States,
- 4:56Speaker 2: you don't have a whole lot to do. It's basically
- 4:58Speaker 2: kind of a no show job. I mean this one,
- 5:00Speaker 2: this vice president a little more to do because he's
- 5:02Speaker 2: involved in negotiations Pakistani ran all that, but he just
- 5:06Speaker 2: tweets around the clock. Well, if you've noticed, you haven't
- 5:09Speaker 2: heard much from him. In the last week. The tweeting
- 5:11Speaker 2: seemed to stop. It's now occasional tweeting. Apparently Susie Wiles
- 5:18Speaker 2: called him in and had a long talk with him
- 5:20Speaker 2: and said, it's too much tweeting. You're overdoing it on
- 5:24Speaker 2: social media. It's beneath the dignity of your office. And
- 5:28Speaker 2: they kind of explained to him, you're not Benny Johnson,
- 5:31Speaker 2: You're the vice president of the United States. Is tweet
- 5:34Speaker 2: like a normal person. You say, well, but Trump does
- 5:37Speaker 2: it not as much as Vance was. And who's going
- 5:40Speaker 2: to tell Trump. He's not gonna listen anybody. Hey is physical.
- 5:44Speaker 2: This was very upsetting for Democrats. You know, the president
- 5:49Speaker 2: gets a physical every year, he gets it every six months.
- 5:51Speaker 2: You go to Walter Reed. You're there for three hours.
- 5:53Speaker 2: It's a full detailed physical examination. Walter Reed. The doctor's there,
- 5:58Speaker 2: put out the report. He's seventy nine years old. He's
- 6:02Speaker 2: six three, two hundred and thirty eight pounds. It could be,
- 6:09Speaker 2: it could be it might have shaved a couple of
- 6:11Speaker 2: pounds now he could be two thirty eight. Pulse seventy
- 6:15Speaker 2: three beats per minute. That's pretty good. Blood pressure one
- 6:19Speaker 2: oh five over seventy one. That's phenomenal. That's absolutely perfect.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Blood pressure pulse texometer ninety eight percent. That's very very good.
- 6:29Speaker 2: But of course that changes every couple of minutes. Temperature
- 6:32Speaker 2: ninety eight point seven, okay. Perfect. His cardiac age is
- 6:38Speaker 2: approximately fourteen younger years younger than his chronological age. In
- 6:42Speaker 2: other words, he has a very healthy heart for a
- 6:44Speaker 2: guy his age. Neurological exam demonstrated total normal mental status. Dermatological.
- 6:54Speaker 2: You know. That's the thing with Trump. You see the
- 6:56Speaker 2: swollen ankles, You see the bruises all over his wrist,
- 7:00Speaker 2: and he says that's from shaking hands. It can be,
- 7:03Speaker 2: but it's also you know, when you get to that
- 7:05Speaker 2: age's supposed to take a baby aspirin every day, which
- 7:08Speaker 2: is like eighty one milligrams. The tiny little baby aspen
- 7:11Speaker 2: every day helps thin the blood. You know, Trump, he's
- 7:13Speaker 2: got to overdo everything, so he takes a full aspirin
- 7:16Speaker 2: every day, three hundred and twenty five milligrams. It's a
- 7:19Speaker 2: little too much every day. And one of the side
- 7:21Speaker 2: effects of taking too much aspirin like that is your
- 7:24Speaker 2: hand will bruise. Who get, you'll bruise easier. So all
- 7:27Speaker 2: the shaking hands causes him to bruise them. But they
- 7:31Speaker 2: said it's totally benign, nothing to worry about. Cognitive, physical performance,
- 7:37Speaker 2: excellent pulmonary, neurological, overall physical function, President in excellent health,
- 7:44Speaker 2: strong cardiac everything. Very upsetting for the left wing. They're
- 7:49Speaker 2: not happy about this, but okay, so hey, here's the
- 7:53Speaker 2: truth about Stephen Colbert. And they kept hearing that there
- 7:57Speaker 2: was the show was such a disaster that it was
- 8:00Speaker 2: losing about forty million a year, some say forty to
- 8:04Speaker 2: fifty million a year. Well, about a week ago the
- 8:07Speaker 2: left and the crazy left wing online started to counter
- 8:11Speaker 2: that and they found a financial statement which they posted.
- 8:15Speaker 2: It was a financial statement showing the finances of The
- 8:18Speaker 2: Colbert Show and how it made one hundred million in
- 8:21Speaker 2: profit every year. Well, as we told you last week,
- 8:24Speaker 2: it's a total fake news, fake document, typical internet stuff.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Somebody comes up with a fake document, everybody in the
- 8:30Speaker 2: left reposts it. It didn't even look like a real
- 8:33Speaker 2: financial statement. It looked like some goofy left wing blogger
- 8:37Speaker 2: drew it up thinking this is what a financial statement
- 8:39Speaker 2: looks like. It's totally false. CBS has put out an
- 8:43Speaker 2: official statement from CBS, absolutely official, confirming the loss. And
- 8:51Speaker 2: this was talking about Byron Allen, who's taken over the
- 8:54Speaker 2: time slot. The difference is Byron Allen will pay for
- 8:57Speaker 2: the time slot. He buys the time from CBS for
- 9:00Speaker 2: fifteen million dollars a year and shows you how network
- 9:05Speaker 2: TV is slipped. Years ago that would have been one
- 9:07Speaker 2: hundred million a year. So it's fifteen million a year
- 9:10Speaker 2: for the hour, five nights a week. But here's this
- 9:13Speaker 2: official statement from CBS. We're proud to partner with Byron
- 9:17Speaker 2: Allen on a new business and programming model for late
- 9:20Speaker 2: Night that proactively addresses a network day part that was
- 9:25Speaker 2: cost prohibitive to continue. In other words, it was losing
- 9:28Speaker 2: too much money. Here's here, This is from the actual
- 9:32Speaker 2: official statement from CBS. With this time by model, we
- 9:37Speaker 2: have shifted an hour that was losing roughly forty million
- 9:41Speaker 2: a year annually to fifteen million in profit, a fifty
- 9:46Speaker 2: five million dollars swing. Now putting that out to impress
- 9:50Speaker 2: their investors. So CBS confirming, absolutely confirming, Colbert was losing
- 9:55Speaker 2: forty million a year. So New Jersey, I don't know.
- 10:01Speaker 2: You always elect the craziest governors. We should talk. We've
- 10:06Speaker 2: got Kathy Hlkle here, we had Andrew Cuomo, the most
- 10:08Speaker 2: left wing kook of a governor. Uh yeah, so we
- 10:14Speaker 2: can't really, we can't really fall you. But you've got
- 10:16Speaker 2: some bad governors one after another. Who's that last one?
- 10:21Speaker 2: Murphy a useless sort of a character. Mikey Cheryl who
- 10:26Speaker 2: caused rioting at Delaney Hall. This is the detention center
- 10:31Speaker 2: in Newark. It started us a little protesting. Mikey Cheryl
- 10:36Speaker 2: and a couple other Dems, Corey Booker, the Newark mayor,
- 10:41Speaker 2: the Menendez's son, a councilman. They decide this will be good.
- 10:47Speaker 2: We'll weaponize this, will gin this up, you know, kind
- 10:50Speaker 2: of like Minnesota. It'll hurt Trump, it'll hurt the hurt
- 10:53Speaker 2: the Republicans, it'll hurt the administration. So they decided to
- 10:57Speaker 2: gin up the protesting. They started to play up. The
- 11:00Speaker 2: governor herself joined the protesters, picketing, yelling and screaming, getting
- 11:04Speaker 2: the tvchems. That brought a lot of attention to it.
- 11:06Speaker 2: So what was the result of that, Well, Antifa and
- 11:09Speaker 2: all the professional agitators, all the violent agitators infiltrated. They
- 11:15Speaker 2: sent the Antifa and those type of groups in. Now
- 11:19Speaker 2: there's guys that finances the George Soros types that fund
- 11:23Speaker 2: all of that to stir up trouble. The other problem.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Now they've made Antifa an actual terrorist organization here, Scott Besson.
- 11:32Speaker 3: President Trump has declared Antifa a domestic terrorist organization, and
- 11:38Speaker 3: anyone who is funding a domestic terrorist organization should know
- 11:43Speaker 3: that you will be examined and you will be held
- 11:46Speaker 3: accountable if you are funding or responsible. They have for
- 11:51Speaker 3: these riots, for this violence. This violence has to stop now.
- 11:55Speaker 2: The problem is the Soros types will filter it. They'll
- 11:58Speaker 2: give it to this fund, to that fund, this group,
- 12:00Speaker 2: to this group. They'll filter it, launder it through ten
- 12:03Speaker 2: other organizations before it gets there. And the big problem
- 12:06Speaker 2: is most of this is now financed by the communist
- 12:10Speaker 2: Chinese government through a guy named Neville Roy Singman. He's
- 12:14Speaker 2: another Soros only he is in Shanghai, China. You can't
- 12:19Speaker 2: touch him. He's an American citizen, but he's living in Shanghai.
- 12:24Speaker 2: He's spending million, tens of millions funding this kind of crap,
- 12:28Speaker 2: and it's given to him by the communist Chinese government.
- 12:30Speaker 2: They're backing him, and they love doing this because it
- 12:33Speaker 2: screws up America. They consider us an enemy. They're trying
- 12:36Speaker 2: to undermine us and totally ruin us because it's they
- 12:40Speaker 2: think it's good for them. But it all goes through
- 12:43Speaker 2: this guy, Nevill Roy Sigmund. Again, he's in Shanghai. There's
- 12:46Speaker 2: no way to touch him, totally protected by the Chinese
- 12:51Speaker 2: communist government. Now, Mikey Cheryl even she started to realize
- 12:56Speaker 2: what she did. She ginned up this stuff and now
- 12:59Speaker 2: you got Antifa in there. Now it's getting violent and ugly.
- 13:02Speaker 2: You got these ICE officers, law enforcement guys being assaulted
- 13:06Speaker 2: ending up in the hospital. It's a January sixth. This
- 13:10Speaker 2: is an exact exactly January sixth exactly, because when these
- 13:15Speaker 2: guys are charged in court, they're going to get hit
- 13:18Speaker 2: with the same exact charges. The January sixth guys got
- 13:21Speaker 2: hit with trespassing, rioting, interfering with governmental operations, disrupting the
- 13:27Speaker 2: same exact charges. So Mikey Cheryl trying to back off
- 13:32Speaker 2: a little now. She even brought in the state police.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Having worked with New Jersey State Police and local law enforcement,
- 13:38Speaker 4: I know how well trained they are the best in
- 13:40Speaker 4: the nation. I trust them to follow our constitution. I
- 13:45Speaker 4: knew it would be better to have them handle the
- 13:47Speaker 4: situation rather than ICE.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Very fine people in New Jersey State Police. They're all
- 13:53Speaker 2: there on the scene look at each other going what
- 13:55Speaker 2: the hell did she get this? Why did she create
- 13:57Speaker 2: the situation? Why do we have to have clean up
- 13:59Speaker 2: per mess? But she caused the whole thing to turn
- 14:02Speaker 2: into rioting.
- 14:03Speaker 4: I will not give ICE the pretext to expand operations
- 14:06Speaker 4: in our state. For that reason, New Jersey law Enforcement
- 14:10Speaker 4: is today establishing a peaceful, protected protest zone in the
- 14:15Speaker 4: area right outside Delaney Hall.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Well, that's what he's supposed to do from the beginning.
- 14:20Speaker 2: He's supposed to set up the area for the protesters
- 14:23Speaker 2: across the street so that it doesn't interfere with operations.
- 14:26Speaker 2: We'll get back to her. She's just an absolute mess.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Israel Israel Day parade yesterday went off very well, that's
- 14:34Speaker 2: the good news. Our crazy left wing kook, anti Semitic
- 14:38Speaker 2: mayor refused to go, which is an ugly thing to do.
- 14:44Speaker 2: But on the other hand, I don't think anybody really
- 14:45Speaker 2: wanted him there, and also I think he must have
- 14:48Speaker 2: if he thought about going, realized he'd get booed the
- 14:51Speaker 2: whole route. What's the point of that. It's not going
- 14:53Speaker 2: to look good for him, so he wouldn't go. All
- 14:55Speaker 2: mayors go to the Israel Day parade. He's the first
- 14:57Speaker 2: not to. But ex mayor showed up yesterday to march.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Michael Bloomberg was there, Eric Adams, Bruce Blakeman was marching there.
- 15:07Speaker 2: City Council Speaker Julie Mennon who was there, The Police
- 15:12Speaker 2: Commissioner Jessica Tish was there. In fact, you're one of
- 15:16Speaker 2: the Grand Marshals, And she said, you know beforehand, she said,
- 15:19Speaker 2: the NYPD is going to put the biggest amount of
- 15:23Speaker 2: cops ever in history on a parade. On this parade,
- 15:25Speaker 2: they're going to make sure it's safe. If you're running
- 15:27Speaker 2: a parade, it's a very smart thing to do. Make
- 15:29Speaker 2: the police Commissioner your grand Marshal, because if she's going
- 15:32Speaker 2: to march in the parade right in the middle of this,
- 15:34Speaker 2: she's going to make sure it's very, very safe. So
- 15:37Speaker 2: it worked out pretty well. Now, Mom Donnie, not only
- 15:40Speaker 2: was not at the parade, so where was he? So
- 15:43Speaker 2: he should have just stayed inside. You got two choices,
- 15:46Speaker 2: to stay inside and disappear for the day, or go
- 15:50Speaker 2: do something very important, like go to some important thing.
- 15:53Speaker 2: You have to to make it look like you were busy. Instead,
- 15:56Speaker 2: he was seen riding a bicycle around New York as
- 16:00Speaker 2: if he was just out on a Sunday taking a
- 16:02Speaker 2: bike ride. It was JFK. Junior, okay, because you always
- 16:07Speaker 2: saw the guy riding a bike. He paired, did it
- 16:09Speaker 2: every day. That was his thing, riding a bike. But
- 16:12Speaker 2: if you look at the Mom Donnie video, he's obviously
- 16:14Speaker 2: never ridden a bike in his entire life. You could
- 16:17Speaker 2: see the way he gets on it, the way he
- 16:18Speaker 2: pedals it, that he's never been on a bike before. Also,
- 16:21Speaker 2: he's wearing a suit and dress shoes to ride a bike.
- 16:26Speaker 2: It's Sunday. It's a Sunday. You go over a bike ride,
- 16:30Speaker 2: you put it like Nixon with the suit and tie
- 16:32Speaker 2: on the beach. But he's wearing a suit, a dress shirt,
- 16:35Speaker 2: a dress shoes and a dark suit to ride a
- 16:39Speaker 2: bike round, looking absolutely ridiculous. Anyway, we'll get back to him.
- 16:44Speaker 2: He wants to take ed Kotchi's name off the bridge.
- 16:46Speaker 2: We'll get to that and a whole lot more coming up.
- 16:49Speaker 2: We'll take some calls next eight hundred three two one
- 16:53Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 16:56Speaker 2: one zero seven ten.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Welcome back to Mark Simonne Show Live from the wo
- 17:03Speaker 1: R Life Back studios.

- 17:21Speaker 6: Believe it or not? How to do is I'm freezing?

- 17:29Speaker 6: building has no heat.
- 17:31Speaker 2: And what is the temperature in Montreal today?
- 17:33Speaker 6: It's fifty eight degrees.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Oh, well, that's not too bad. I don't mind you
- 17:38Speaker 2: having the radio. I don't mind you having the radio on,
- 17:40Speaker 2: but it sounds like it's on another station. What are
- 17:42Speaker 2: you listening to?
- 17:44Speaker 6: I no, I'm listening to you on our side of
- 17:48Speaker 6: that car stop. It's the wax up, but I have
- 17:51Speaker 6: two of them. Oh okay, I have a question for you. Yes,
- 17:55Speaker 6: love your show, by the way.

- 17:57Speaker 6: Okay, the question is I'm from. You mentioned the website

- 18:29Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 18:30Speaker 7: Oh hi, Mark, great show as usual. Were beginning about
- 18:35Speaker 7: legal immigration.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Can guys? Did I tell you can always tell from
- 18:39Speaker 2: the accent. He's got that New York accent you can't mistake.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Let's go to Josh in Westchester, Josh, how you doing.
- 18:48Speaker 7: Mark las Coler, what was that all about? I don't understand.
- 18:53Speaker 2: There are there are always two, there's always two in
- 18:55Speaker 2: a row, and he'll got those accents now we have? Yeah, yeah,
- 19:02Speaker 2: got they do every time. The only problem is I
- 19:04Speaker 2: don't think they realize I love pap U Canon used
- 19:07Speaker 2: to be a regular guest on the show. I don't
- 19:09Speaker 2: think they realized. Like, that's thirty years ago. Nobody even
- 19:11Speaker 2: knows who you're talking about it anymore. You gotta update
- 19:14Speaker 2: that a little. Well, let's go to doctor Bob, a
- 19:17Speaker 2: great surgeon in Long Island. Doctor Bob, how you doing?
- 19:20Speaker 8: Yes, I'm walk good to speak you again. Walker. I
- 19:23Speaker 8: was wondering, I never heard the negotiating points with Iran
- 19:26Speaker 8: used by Trump and the Trump people of using a
- 19:32Speaker 8: neutron bomb to irradiate, to bomb the actual uranium that's
- 19:38Speaker 8: been processed and have it radiated so it couldn't be
- 19:41Speaker 8: approached or used for a thousand years.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't. We don't. We don't have to do that,
- 19:45Speaker 2: believe it or not. We got a whole team. They're
- 19:48Speaker 2: great at extracting nuclear material and destroying it. Years ago,
- 19:51Speaker 2: Kadafi turned over his nuclear material in Libya. The team
- 19:54Speaker 2: went in there, got it all, wiped it out. It's
- 19:57Speaker 2: easy to destroy it. You can either take it away
- 19:59Speaker 2: and destroy it or destroy it there. But it's simpler
- 20:02Speaker 2: ways to do it. You don't have to use a
- 20:03Speaker 2: neutron bomb. But thanks for Colin. Let's go to Tom
- 20:07Speaker 2: and Queen's Tom. How you doing? Hey?
- 20:10Speaker 7: Mark the morning. Just to follow up with the Israeli
- 20:13Speaker 7: de Paradum and Dami, this report out that he also
- 20:18Speaker 7: now wants to drop Tatch's name off the Queensboro Bridge.
- 20:22Speaker 7: Hear anything about that?
- 20:23Speaker 2: Yeah, we were going to get to that the next hour.
- 20:24Speaker 2: There's a movement. It's not just him, it's a bunch
- 20:26Speaker 2: of Democrats and they want to remove Koch's name from
- 20:30Speaker 2: the fifty ninth Street bridge. The argument they make is
- 20:34Speaker 2: that he was horrible in the AIDS crisis and he
- 20:37Speaker 2: was responsible for thousands of gay people dying because of
- 20:41Speaker 2: his bad response to the AIDS crisis. If you look
- 20:44Speaker 2: back and look at the details, he can't really fault Kotch.
- 20:47Speaker 2: I mean, we didn't probably respond in the way we
- 20:50Speaker 2: should have immediately, but it was the same thing with
- 20:52Speaker 2: the coronavirus. You don't know what's going on. Fauci completely
- 20:56Speaker 2: bungled up everything, by the way, he was the guy
- 20:58Speaker 2: in charge of the age response back then. But as
- 21:02Speaker 2: as much as you want to criticize the government, do
- 21:06Speaker 2: you remember the beginning of the pandemic, nobody quite knew
- 21:08Speaker 2: what to do. It takes a while to figure it out.
- 21:10Speaker 2: I mean, the dumbest thing ever done in history was
- 21:13Speaker 2: Cuomo sending patients with the virus into the nursing home.
- 21:17Speaker 2: I mean, that was just murder. That was just insane,
- 21:19Speaker 2: that was irrational. But in the case of Couch that, yeah,
- 21:24Speaker 2: a lot of people lost, a lot of people thanks
- 21:26Speaker 2: for calling, but a lot In the case of Kach,
- 21:30Speaker 2: who was totally sympathetic to the problem, it was just
- 21:32Speaker 2: not quite knowing what to do just yet. And then
- 21:35Speaker 2: there were some people that thought. And then when he
- 21:38Speaker 2: did respond, when he got really serious, remember they closed
- 21:41Speaker 2: down the gay bathouses. Then the gay community got mad
- 21:43Speaker 2: at him, so it was a no win situation for him.
- 21:46Speaker 2: But again, they could have responded better in the beginning.
- 21:49Speaker 2: But that's the reason, Mom, Donnie, you know, it's really
- 21:54Speaker 2: more of an excuse. I also think there's a little
- 21:55Speaker 2: anti semitism here with Mom Dommy the most famous Jewish mayor,
- 22:00Speaker 2: and I think in the case of mom dying, he's
- 22:02Speaker 2: a lot of anti Semitism involved in this. But they're
- 22:04Speaker 2: trying to get Kocia's name off the business off the bridge.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Julie men and city council speaker at that same thing
- 22:11Speaker 2: where they were speaking, agreed to take Kochia's name off. However,
- 22:16Speaker 2: later she backtracked. Now when she's asked about it, she
- 22:19Speaker 2: said she never never intended to say that, so it
- 22:22Speaker 2: should be ed. Koch was a great, great mayor, and
- 22:25Speaker 2: you can point to all the great baby you can.
- 22:28Speaker 2: A lot of people will say he saved New York
- 22:29Speaker 2: City financially fiscally when we were about to go under financially. Hey,
- 22:35Speaker 2: we'll get all the latest news, and then when we
- 22:37Speaker 2: come back, we'll talk to the greatest columnist in America,
- 22:40Speaker 2: Michael Goodwin. Coming up next on seven to ten WR.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Mister New York Mars Bone. He's on sevent ten woor.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Well, Michael Goodwin, the finest columnist in America. You're gonna
- 22:55Speaker 2: read him every Sunday and every Wednesday in the New
- 22:58Speaker 2: York Post and then go to New York First website.
- 23:00Speaker 2: You can read all his columns. They're all up there.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Michael Goodwin, how you.
- 23:04Speaker 5: Doing, Good morning, Mark, thank you.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Hey. The Israel Day Parade went off very well yesterday.
- 23:10Speaker 2: That's good news. Uh. You got Mayor Bloomberg, you got
- 23:13Speaker 2: Mayor Adams of course, Uh, Mayor Mom Donnie uh didn't
- 23:18Speaker 2: show up and he was seen riding a bike. And
- 23:20Speaker 2: you could tell by the way he wrote it he's
- 23:21Speaker 2: never ridden a bike before.
- 23:22Speaker 5: So what was what's on a suit to run a bike?
- 23:27Speaker 2: So what do you think the bottom?
- 23:30Speaker 5: Yeah, probably probably a tag on the bike still right
- 23:34Speaker 5: for sale?
- 23:36Speaker 2: Yeah, like John carries hunting close.
- 23:39Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, so it's really something. You know. The best
- 23:44Speaker 5: line I saw Marcle has that he missed the parade,
- 23:48Speaker 5: but he wasn't missed. That's kind of summed it up easily.
- 23:54Speaker 2: So uh but what do you what do you think
- 23:58Speaker 2: You think it also went through his head that if
- 23:59Speaker 2: I march, they'll boo me the whole way, So that
- 24:02Speaker 2: you think that was a factor too.
- 24:05Speaker 5: If I had to read his mind, that may be
- 24:08Speaker 5: part of it. But I think, perhaps maybe even more so,
- 24:13Speaker 5: the fact that his war against Israel was a major
- 24:19Speaker 5: part in his campaign that appealed to the socialist far
- 24:24Speaker 5: left nuttos, and I think that the anti semitism is
- 24:30Speaker 5: effectively applyank in his agenda, and so I think had
- 24:35Speaker 5: he gone, he would have angered many of those who
- 24:39Speaker 5: voted for him, thinking that he was going to be different,
- 24:43Speaker 5: he wasn't going to do this same thing that they
- 24:47Speaker 5: think other mayors have done. And so I think that
- 24:51Speaker 5: may have been probably factored into his decision.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Yeah, this anti semitism that you'll infiltrated the party, and
- 25:00Speaker 2: this deep anti semitism in a guy like Mom Donnie,
- 25:03Speaker 2: how do they watch the Holocaust of October seventh and
- 25:07Speaker 2: then think Israel is the villain? How do they convince
- 25:09Speaker 2: themselves of that?
- 25:10Speaker 5: Yeah? You know, markets that's exactly the question that I
- 25:14Speaker 5: think about a lot too, Like what what didn't you
- 25:18Speaker 5: see in October seventh that would change your mind? What's missing?
- 25:23Speaker 5: Did you watch the videos? Did you watch that stuff?
- 25:28Speaker 5: Who else takes hostages and holds them in tunnels and
- 25:33Speaker 5: for months and months and years? Who else does that?
- 25:38Speaker 5: That's that's a brutal, that's not war, that's terrorism. And
- 25:44Speaker 5: I think that, you know, Mamdanie is kind of in
- 25:48Speaker 5: some way politically has boxed himself in to this musician,
- 25:53Speaker 5: and I don't think it's going to get better for him.
- 25:56Speaker 5: I think it's going to get worse. I think it's
- 25:59Speaker 5: one of those things that will serve of designate. Him
- 26:06Speaker 5: is out of the mainstream, and I think that kind
- 26:09Speaker 5: of thing over time really weighs on your popularity. It
- 26:14Speaker 5: weighs on the cooperation you get from other people in
- 26:18Speaker 5: public life. I mean even Hoko, who is really his
- 26:23Speaker 5: biggest enabler. She went to the parade. So I think
- 26:29Speaker 5: that he's on a losing course with that. And it's it's,
- 26:33Speaker 5: as I say, it's it's easy to modify in a
- 26:37Speaker 5: way that makes you a better mayor, but instead he
- 26:41Speaker 5: just keeps. You know that line when you dug yourself
- 26:45Speaker 5: into a hole, drop the shovel. He just keeps digging.
- 26:49Speaker 2: And but the difference between him and Deblasio, you know,
- 26:52Speaker 2: de Blasio ran as a crazy left wing socialist, but
- 26:56Speaker 2: once he got in office, he basically was hiding at
- 26:58Speaker 2: that cafe in Brooklyn bother anybody.
- 27:00Speaker 5: But it was too lazy to start a revolution.
- 27:07Speaker 2: So but mom, Donnie, it's not a political thing with him.
- 27:11Speaker 2: It's real hatred of the Jews of Israel and the
- 27:14Speaker 2: Jewish people, isn't it?
- 27:16Speaker 5: It seems it is. I mean and guys, I wrote
- 27:19Speaker 5: on the column he said during the campaign, I will
- 27:22Speaker 5: not march, and he also said he would arrest Apprentice
- 27:28Speaker 5: and that comes to New York on then ICC and
- 27:33Speaker 5: International Criminal Court, which in the United States does not recognized,
- 27:38Speaker 5: so there's no ground for that. So this is like
- 27:41Speaker 5: boob bait for the Bubbas. And it's a way I think,
- 27:46Speaker 5: keeping his followers engaged and locked into him because there's
- 27:52Speaker 5: nowhere else to go on issues like this.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Hey, what is this thing he's now talking about pushing
- 27:58Speaker 2: this movement to get ed his name off the bridge.
- 28:02Speaker 2: They said it was mishandling the AIDS crisis, but that
- 28:04Speaker 2: doesn't pass the smell test. What is that really about?
- 28:07Speaker 2: Is that anti Semitism?
- 28:10Speaker 5: Well there could be attende to that too, Mark, because
- 28:14Speaker 5: this is an old Villais group that hated God for
- 28:18Speaker 5: all kinds of reasons and this was one of them.
- 28:22Speaker 5: And so Mamdani answered yes on the questionnaire during the campaign.
- 28:28Speaker 5: I think it would be very interesting to see if
- 28:31Speaker 5: he follows through on that. Already. Julie Mennon, the Speaker
- 28:36Speaker 5: of the City Council, Apparently she also answered yes, but
- 28:41Speaker 5: she told the New York Post that no, no, no, no,
- 28:44Speaker 5: I'm not for that. So it's not clear how much
- 28:48Speaker 5: weight Mamdani will attach to this answer. While he was running,
- 28:54Speaker 5: and Nowady's a mayor, does he really want to take
- 28:57Speaker 5: that on? Is that something that he thinks will help
- 29:01Speaker 5: him get his agenda a cross or will it be
- 29:04Speaker 5: a distraction? I think it's the ladder, But I clearly
- 29:07Speaker 5: don't have any insight into his own mind. I mean,
- 29:11Speaker 5: because if I did, I go tell him, don't do
- 29:14Speaker 5: ninety percent of the thing you're doing.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, you know in Los Angeles they got a
- 29:19Speaker 2: crazy left wing, ridiculous mayor screwing up the whole city,
- 29:23Speaker 2: and it looks like the opponent, Pratt, is pulled ahead
- 29:26Speaker 2: of her in the real pulse slightly. Do you think
- 29:28Speaker 2: maybe we're the end of this cycle of crazy left
- 29:31Speaker 2: wing mayors?
- 29:33Speaker 5: You know, Mark, that's a wonderful way to put it,
- 29:36Speaker 5: And I certainly hope. So. I don't say, I can't
- 29:40Speaker 5: say I think so, but it would be great. I mean,
- 29:43Speaker 5: you look at what's happened to Chicago, you know, look
- 29:47Speaker 5: look at the Boston any day, the insanity is going
- 29:51Speaker 5: on in Boston with a left winger. And so you
- 29:56Speaker 5: see these Saints and always Democrat to have gone left,
- 30:01Speaker 5: and when they get these jobs, they're not capable of
- 30:04Speaker 5: doing them. They're activists, they're not really governors in that sense,
- 30:10Speaker 5: and they try to bring this activist agenda into city
- 30:15Speaker 5: hall and state houses and then get worse, dramatically worse
- 30:20Speaker 5: or citizens. That's why you're seeing this light from all
- 30:24Speaker 5: these blue cities and blue states. It's not just New York.
- 30:28Speaker 5: It's really around the country, whether it's California and Los
- 30:32Speaker 5: Angeles or you know, Chicago. People leave for more sane governments.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, Kathy Hokeel doubling down on anti ice, spanning masks,
- 30:46Speaker 2: all this stuff. What do you think is gonna happen
- 30:48Speaker 2: in November? Bruce Blakeman, brilliant guy and a very strong candidate.
- 30:52Speaker 2: What do you think will happen in November? Look?
- 30:55Speaker 5: I think right now he's got a lot of work
- 30:58Speaker 5: to do, but I think it's not beyond the realm
- 31:02Speaker 5: of the possible that he could win. I mean, huckle
- 31:07Speaker 5: is not a popular governor. The left is happy because
- 31:12Speaker 5: she just does whatever.
- 31:14Speaker 7: Tell you.
- 31:15Speaker 5: She doesn't really have the thought of her own, she's
- 31:18Speaker 5: outsourced or bringing to the far left. And so I
- 31:23Speaker 5: think that this is the kind of moment where somebody
- 31:28Speaker 5: can pierce, you know, the wall around the government and say, look,
- 31:34Speaker 5: we can do a lot better. And so I think
- 31:37Speaker 5: there's no shortage of issues for Blakeman to go to
- 31:42Speaker 5: work on. And I think that if you start to
- 31:46Speaker 5: see some movement in the polls in his favor. This
- 31:50Speaker 5: has been back and forth so far that you see
- 31:53Speaker 5: a steady, continuing climb, then I think, do you really
- 31:58Speaker 5: see the pressure on her? And then shall have to
- 32:02Speaker 5: decide whether climb back into the leftist cocoon with Mamdani
- 32:08Speaker 5: and with the legislature, or whether she's going to try
- 32:11Speaker 5: to be a governor for everybody.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Yeah, he's speaking of governors.
- 32:15Speaker 5: You know.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Andrew Cuomo now does a radio show. I think I'm
- 32:18Speaker 2: the only listener, but.
- 32:21Speaker 5: I do watch the Sunday shows too. I'm really grateful.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I do that too. But if you listen to me.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Talked about how he was a moderate Democrat, a very
- 32:30Speaker 2: moderate the governor. He talks about how this is terrible,
- 32:34Speaker 2: nobody said anything about Biden. Everything he's guilty of. He
- 32:37Speaker 2: now denies. What kind of strategy is that.
- 32:41Speaker 5: Yeah. Look, I think he made a big mistay and
- 32:44Speaker 5: this contributes and continuation of this campaign, and I think
- 32:48Speaker 5: that's why he lost. Had he I think then more
- 32:51Speaker 5: forthcoming about the nursing home disaster and all of the
- 32:58Speaker 5: bills that he passed that led to some of the
- 33:02Speaker 5: Colonel Justice stuff and attaxes, the electric utility issues and
- 33:08Speaker 5: you know, the greenhouse gases. I mean, had he approved tracking,
- 33:13Speaker 5: for instance, New York economy would have been better and
- 33:17Speaker 5: the utility prices would have been lower. So he made
- 33:21Speaker 5: so many mistakes, but he can never own up to them,
- 33:25Speaker 5: and I think that was his ultimate failing and that's
- 33:29Speaker 5: why he did not win a campaign he should have won.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Well, Michael Goodwin, great stuff. You can read his column
- 33:36Speaker 2: every Sunday and every Wednesday in the New York Post,
- 33:40Speaker 2: and you can go to New York Bus website you
- 33:41Speaker 2: can read all his columns. They're all up there and
- 33:44Speaker 2: all brilliant. Michael Goodwin, thanks for being with us.
- 33:47Speaker 5: My pleasure, Mark. I just go quickly read all my
- 33:50Speaker 5: columns except for the next two weeks. There's I'm gone
- 33:54Speaker 5: on vacation.
- 33:55Speaker 2: What you can't do that What am I going to
- 33:58Speaker 2: do on Sunday? What am I going to do on Wednesday?
- 34:01Speaker 2: All right, well, thanks for the warning. We'll talk to you.
- 34:04Speaker 2: We can you still talk to us or you'll be away.
- 34:08Speaker 5: I'll be out of pocket.
- 34:10Speaker 2: All right. We'll try to get through two weeks without you,
- 34:12Speaker 2: but have a great vacation. We'll talk again.
- 34:15Speaker 5: Thank you, nice, Thanks, take.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Care, Hey, don't forget coming up at noon. Buck Sexton
- 34:20Speaker 2: and Klay Travis love listening to them every day. And
- 34:23Speaker 2: then three o'clock you got the most listen to radio
- 34:25Speaker 2: show in America. Sean Handy got Jesse Kelly at six
- 34:29Speaker 2: and a great show Jimmy Fayla, What a funny show.
- 34:32Speaker 2: It's every night at nine on seven to ten. WR.
- 34:36Speaker 2: We're listening to the Mark Simone Show. WR. Oh I
- 34:44Speaker 2: chuck care, hang yup. Stock market down a little, but
- 34:50Speaker 2: it's still over fifty thousand. It's near fifty one thousand,
- 34:53Speaker 2: which is it was the all time record, which we
- 34:55Speaker 2: set last week. Oil prices about there's a little back
- 35:01Speaker 2: and forth strikes. I ran in the US firing some
- 35:03Speaker 2: missiles over the weekend. Some oil prices now up about
- 35:08Speaker 2: seven dollars ninety four dollars a gown, still way down
- 35:11Speaker 2: from where they were two weeks ago. Hey, after the news,
- 35:14Speaker 2: got a lot to get to. We'll get to Platner
- 35:17Speaker 2: in Maine and what's gonna happen there. We'll get to
- 35:20Speaker 2: La the mayoral race. We'll get Hey, we'll get to
- 35:22Speaker 2: the World Cup. The World Cup coming to New York.
- 35:25Speaker 2: This is gonna not be as great as you think. Well,
- 35:28Speaker 2: we'll get to it. After the news. I'm here every
- 35:31Speaker 2: day ten to noon Mark Simone back right after the
- 35:34Speaker 2: news on seven to ten WR
