  Pretty much, this is Season 2. We had our first season up, so

  into riding, the things they learn, the the do's and the

  continue that into to this next season for those that have been

  summer's over for me. I didn't get as much race in.

  As I would have liked to have done this year, mainly because

  I, I relocated down to Florida from Boston, so I was doing that
• 2:40
  over the summer. So I did do some rounds at CCS
• 2:43
  this year just to just to you know, keep the thrill going,
• 2:48
  keep the fun going, that type of thing.
• 2:50
  But I wasn't, you know, fighting for any championships or
• 2:52
  anything like that. And pretty much after Memorial
• 2:56
  Day. I I I really didn't race that
• 2:59
  much. I did do some rounds at CC, at
• 3:02
  Nemar, up in New Hampshire, you know, because I'm just so close.
• 3:06
  And plus I knew I was leaving. So you know, I wanted to come
• 3:10
  in, just get a couple more laps on this track that I started on
• 3:13
  way back in 2013. So, you know, that was fun.
• 3:19
  So yeah, So what has it been like for someone who has to take
• 3:23
  time off? From racing, not not, not really
• 3:27
  fun. I have to say I do.
• 3:30
  I did miss it a lot. It wasn't working out.
• 3:32
  It wasn't riding at all actually.
• 3:35
  You know, I had to bring the bikes down and stuff like that.
• 3:38
  And you know bikes and storage and all that fun stuff you guys
• 3:42
  know and that that that have to move in the past, you know what
• 3:44
  that's like. So I did that.
• 3:46
  So I realized that towards the end of the summer, being down
• 3:52
  here now for a little bit, it's like, OK.
• 3:54
  And I need to get back racing because you know, I've, you
• 3:57
  know, I know for some folks, you know, they, they take, you know,
• 4:00
  a few days off, a few, a few rounds off and you know, they
• 4:03
  don't come back. You know, you know, leave a
• 4:06
  comment, you know, if that's you or you know someone like that.
• 4:09
  Because that does happen regardless of the sport.
• 4:11
  I mean life changes happen all the time.
• 4:13
  So you know, for those that are not collecting the paycheck from
• 4:16
  it every week or every time they race type of thing, and you're
• 4:19
  just doing it for the love and the fun.
• 4:22
  You know, things change. You know, I've been at when I
• 4:25
  was at Loudon, you know, I came and and met folks there that's
• 4:28
  been there. Then, you know, slowly but
• 4:31
  surely faces start to change. I took a couple of, you know,
• 4:36
  the last couple of years I've been racing more up and down the
• 4:38
  East Coast, so I wasn't at Loudon as much And you know,
• 4:41
  definitely when I when I went back, you know, there's a lot of
• 4:43
  new faces. I shout out to those new riders
• 4:46
  that are coming out for sure, but it it it does turn over and
• 4:50
  I'm trying to. Not have that happen to me.
• 4:53
  So you know hopefully I'm going to be racing in a couple of
• 4:55
  weeks at AT in Roebling, which now is a close track for me.
• 5:00
  Before was a, I don't know 2022 hour drive.
• 5:05
  Now it's probably going to be more like 6 and then I'm going
• 5:08
  to try to do Daytona after that in October.
• 5:11
  So you know try to get those two rounds in.
• 5:13
  I don't know if I'll get any track days in you know which I,
• 5:16
  you know based on schedule. I don't know if I will, just
• 5:19
  looking at the different racing clubs.
• 5:22
  A lot of the clubs this season is coming to an end, so really
• 5:26
  there's not a lot of options. You know, after September on the
• 5:30
  East Coast side, I didn't look at the middle Midwest or the
• 5:33
  middle of the country, anything like that.
• 5:35
  But you know, it's definitely the seasons are starting to come
• 5:38
  to an end. So if I can get a couple more
• 5:39
  rounds in just to get a taste, really.
• 5:42
  And then, you know, get back into training in the offseason,
• 5:45
  getting the bikes prepared and all that stuff.
• 5:48
  So, but I'm looking forward to the next few rounds.
• 5:51
  So started working out again. Pulled out the street, wanted to
• 5:54
  pull out, pulled out both of the street bikes.
• 5:56
  I started riding those again just to get a feel and and stuff
• 6:00
  because you you take. In my case I took what, a month
• 6:05
  off from riding. Maybe last time I rode a bike
• 6:08
  was that in Loudon, like the first weekend in August and and
• 6:12
  I haven't ridden since then until really last week.
• 6:17
  So, and we're in September now. So if you're wondering so, yeah,
• 6:21
  so you know, it's been a while. So the first day out definitely
• 6:24
  felt felt you know, body was not you know, working as it should.
• 6:28
  I wasn't shifting right. You know things felt weird now,
• 6:31
  you know I've had since then I've probably put now I've
• 6:35
  probably put about close to 200 miles on on on my bikes in like
• 6:39
  the last you know, five or six days.
• 6:41
  I feel a lot better. So that's good.
• 6:43
  After put that started working out again.
• 6:46
  You know, riding the riding, the bike, the stationary bike and
• 6:49
  you know doing all the the AB workout and all that stuff And
• 6:52
  you know as you get older you know it, it falls apart quicker
• 6:58
  for some reason definitely falls apart a little bit quicker.

  So I was a little bit, you're not surprised but still it's
• 7:04
  it's still a little shocking that time.
• 7:05
  It's just like really, I only took like a month.
• 7:09
  Off or so. And my body's doing this so, you
• 7:11
  know, getting myself back in shape right now for that, you
• 7:15
  know, watch it well, getting my body back in shape just to go
• 7:17
  right. So I'm looking forward to that.

  Let's switch gears a little bit and talk about Moto GP because
• 7:24
  you know, there's crazy things if you watch the last round, you
• 7:29
  know, in Cataluna, shout out to Aprilia one and two.
• 7:34
  Pretty amazing. You know it's nice to see Alicia
• 7:38
  Spargo doing well you know he's he's been in Moto GP for a long
• 7:43
  time and and I think you know this past weekend was his fourth
• 7:46
  winning Moto GP including the Sprint you know and and so it's
• 7:50
  not he didn't have the the Fabio or Joe and mayor or even Peco
• 7:55
  right they come in into Moto into Moto GP in a few years that
• 8:00
  they they were title riders and and this dude can ride.
• 8:05
  So shout out to a Prolia. I'm a fan of Prolia, fan of the
• 8:07
  European bikes. I'm glad to see them doing well
• 8:10
  that that you know it was it was a pretty cool race I was so I
• 8:12
  was rooting for Maverick. I definitely was rooting for
• 8:14
  Maverick because you know he's he he switched teams he he had a
• 8:20
  you know bad run with Yamaha towards the end he's probably
• 8:24
  one of the riders that knew the bike was already starting to
• 8:26
  come apart and and and not and not in a good way and and so in
• 8:31
  the way he left was was rough so.
• 8:33
  You know, he hasn't gotten the win yet in Aprilia, but I think
• 8:36
  it's coming. You know, the the kid can ride.
• 8:39
  I mean, I think the bad starts, it's good to know that it's the
• 8:44
  bike and not him because you know, based on, you know,
• 8:47
  getting the Flack from last he was with Yamaha and then, you
• 8:52
  know, coming over and kind of struggling a bit.

  It's it's good to it's good to know it's not him and it's the
• 8:57
  bike and they're working to sort the bike out and stuff like that
• 8:59
  so that was pretty amazing to to to watch and and and I guess I'm

  rooting for for him and approlia you know it's good to you know
• 9:07
  the crash with Peco was ridiculous I have to say that
• 9:12
  I'm I'm I'm waiting to see if it was some type of mechanical or
• 9:15
  something like that because those bikes don't really high
• 9:17
  side that often obviously any any machine can.

  But you know they usually don't and he had a a ridiculous start
• 9:26
  you know that start was was unbelievable.

  So it's good to see that. You know he's just limping
• 9:32
  around. It'll be interesting to see what
• 9:33
  he does this weekend. But you know it it you know that

  was crazy. Now that let's talk about the
• 9:39
  other crash that other crash there with with with Bastianini.

  Well, you know, you know, I've, I've heard Alesh and some other
• 9:45
  writers said it even I think this happened with another
• 9:47
  writer trying to make up that many position in in the first
• 9:50
  turn of the race. You know, it's one of those
• 9:53
  things if you do it and get away with it, you're a superstar.

  When when you do it and you take out, you know 5-6 Ducatis and
• 10:01
  your honor Ducati. I can't imagine that Ducati was
• 10:05
  happy about that. So and I know there's some
• 10:07
  penalties coming. I mean I know he got hurt bad
• 10:09
  from it, so he might be missing this round again.
• 10:12
  You know, bad luck for Bastionini, for real.
• 10:15
  But you know, it's you know, I I have to assume that he wants.
• 10:21
  He's trying to fight for a contract.
• 10:23
  He sees all the fast guys on Ducati's right now.
• 10:26
  You know, Biszeke could be on a factory bike next season.
• 10:31
  So you know, I get it. He wants to fight for a seat.

  I know he, I know he has a seat for 2024.

  But definitely, you know when you got Biszeke riding really
• 10:40
  good, Marini riding good, Martine riding good, it's
• 10:45
  unfortunate as Zako. Is is leaving but he got a super
• 10:48
  fat contract and you know he's probably be with Honda you know
• 10:52
  until the bike gets better. So I, you know it is what it is.

  So you know and Alex Marquez, you know, I think you know
• 10:59
  eventually when he sorts out that bike which I think next
• 11:02
  season he'll he'll he'll come into his own.
• 11:05
  So I can, I can see why and it's a cutthroat business.

  You know, let's let's be real so you know, I can see why he has
• 11:12
  to take these chances and he's been out.
• 11:14
  You know, you know from his no fault of his own.

  You know when he got out in the first round with when Marini
• 11:19
  took him out. So you know it's unfortunate and
• 11:24
  and you know I assume some penalties are going to come from
• 11:27
  it you know so we'll see what happens there.

  But it's it's it's exciting to watch.

  You know there a lot of riders still, well few riders still
• 11:37
  haven't been confirmed so it'll be interesting to see where like
• 11:42
  Moberdelli lands. You know, the gin Antonio hasn't
• 11:46
  signed yet, so it'll be interesting to see what
• 11:48
  happened. You know, I heard a rumor that
• 11:51
  KTM is trying to offer Jack Miller more money and and do a
• 11:55
  wild card deal so that way they can sign Pedro.
• 11:59
  I don't know if I like that because you know, Miller was the
• 12:02
  icing on the cake for KTM. And yeah, giving them in a fact
• 12:05
  contract definitely shows the appreciation for sure.
• 12:09
  But. I think he wants to ride and
• 12:12
  race and try to win. You know, this dude, you know,
• 12:14
  he leaves everything on on the table and you know, I I suspect
• 12:20
  so. I hope it's not true because you
• 12:22
  know, he's the guy that sorted out your bike and made your
• 12:25
  bike, you know, a top five bike from a top 10 bike.

  So you know, it's not I I get it.
• 12:32
  You know you don't want to lose Pedro, but there's no guarantee
• 12:34
  that a Pedro's going to come in. And and be a superstar right
• 12:38
  away. You know there's a few people
• 12:40
  that can do it. His first year in in Moto 2HE
• 12:43
  struggled a bit, got hurt. So I mean, you know, you never
• 12:46
  know what's going to happen. Sure he's riding, you know, the
• 12:50
  wheels off the bike in in Moto 2 right now, but you never know.
• 12:54
  And you know these guys in Moto GP, the talent is, is there, you
• 13:01
  know, you're talking about, you know?
• 13:04
  You know less than a second and a half, you know between the top
• 13:06
  to the bottom so that you know they're really fast guys.
• 13:09
  And some of that is it has to do with the bike.
• 13:12
  So you know it it we'll see what happens.

  But I think that KTM should keep Miller, let them ride.

  I know you don't want to lose Pedro, but Miller helped you
• 13:24
  guys sort that bike out. So like I say I I would be
• 13:28
  leaning that route. As far as Mobadelli I assume
• 13:32
  he's going to get a Ducati seat. Yeah it'll be nice to come out.

  I I I assume it's going to be Primac at this point could be
• 13:38
  Gressini but you know it it'll be nice to see him stay in Moto
• 13:42
  GP and if he's on a competitive bike.

  I mean he could be he he should and probably will be a force for
• 13:49
  next season because I got to assume he's hungry and the guy's
• 13:52
  talented so it's it's not like he's not a talented rider and
• 13:56
  you know if I think if Yamaha had a.
• 13:59
  Better bike underneath him it it'll be a different situation
• 14:02
  because even you know we see with Fabio right now struggling
• 14:07
  to to to keep pace with the fast guys and I I think more Badelli
• 14:13
  has finished in front of Fabio probably in more races this year
• 14:17
  than the other way around. So you know, he's definitely
• 14:21
  riding his butt off and and and hopefully he will get a seat in
• 14:24
  the in the Ducati world. I know KTM was trying to get
• 14:28
  another bike on the field. Doesn't seem like that's going
• 14:31
  to work out. It'll be interesting to see what
• 14:34
  happens. You know, Alex Renz is with
• 14:38
  Yamaha next season and you know, again it's, you know, Yamaha got
• 14:42
  some things to sort out. So you know right now it seems
• 14:46
  like KTM, Ducati, Aprilia, other bikes to be on and you know the
• 14:54
  Honda and the Yamaha is, I mean I think in in.
• 14:57
  Yamaha's case, you know, they need, they need a satellite
• 15:00
  team. You know I think that they have
• 15:01
  the two bikes is going to make it very difficult for them to be
• 15:04
  competitive longterm. I mean a Honda got four bikes so
• 15:08
  that that that that gives you a fighting chance.

  They got Mark Marquez who knows how to ride.
• 15:14
  So I think they will sort that out.

  I mean, sorry, he's been with KTM now for nine years, six

  world titles in a row. And you know, it'll be

  interesting to see what he does on that Yamaha.

  I think that bike, you know the the Yamaha corners better.

  So I I think he's going to have fun on that bike next year and I

  mean it's still be interesting to see with Top Rock going to

  BMW, right. So that's a huge deal.

  You know Andre Inoni who was in Moto GP who was suspended, had a

  four year ban for doping and he signed with a satellite team for
• 16:13
  next season. You know, I can't wait to see
• 16:16
  what happens there. There's a lot of Moto GP riders

  inside of the World Super Bike Camp right now, so it'll be
• 16:24
  interesting to see. Nikolai Boogala, he got signed
• 16:28
  to the factory team for Ducati, so he's moving up to Super Bike
• 16:32
  from Super Sport. I wonder who's going to get his
• 16:35
  seat in in Super Sport. So it'll be that.

  I'm be curious to see who who gets that seat.

  You got Daniel Pachucci, he's not leaving, but he he's going
• 16:45
  to be a force. He's going to be a force.

  So you know, I know Alver is the guy that.

  You know he's probably going to run away with it this year

  unless Top Rock can can do something on that Yamaha, I

  think Ray's out of it. So Rinaldi, it'd be interesting

  World Super Bike. It's unfortunate that, you know,

  he with some bad luck and you know, I mean it's a cutthroat

  in the day on on the Super bike for Ducati probably it's tough

  for Ronaldi coming in and just not having you know not stepping

  satellite Ducatis that are that are doing better again you know

  I I think Nicola is going to win the Super sport title this year

  but it's still it's still some ways to go so who knows.

  But grabbing that factory seat is huge.

  You know, because it's it's not an easy thing and there's a lot

  of riders out there that want it.

  So I don't know who's going to go take that seat from Ray,

  Sam Lowe's is is going to be there.

  His brother is coming in next year on the VDS Ducati satellite

  team as well. So you know, next year is going

  to be very interested in World Super Bike.

  I will see who takes that. Maybe Rinaldi might go to

  Kawasaki. Who else would you give it to?

  He's a factory rider and you know you know it'll probably

  make sense to put him on a factory bike.

  But you know it seems like folks they'll they'll the BM W's doing

  fairly well. Could be better, but it seems

  like Ducati's was was was taking.

  The place right now and and a lot of riders want to be on that

  bike. So World Super Sport.

  I can't wait for World Super Bike.

  World Super Bike I I I can't wait for that to come back it's

  it's just so much fun to watch World Super Bike and these guys.

  I mean even the British Super Sport is is is Super Bike is is

  you know is is is just amazing so I'm looking forward to

  September 22nd 24th for for that for the Aragon round for World

  touch base a little bit. It looks like Jake Gonyea's

  secured the title for this season already.

  Cam Beaubier. He's injured and he's been being

  replaced by Stefano Mesa for the last few rounds.

  Shout out to Stefano because he's a journeyman and you know

  to get that, to get to get a seat on on on a super bike.

  Even for a few rounds is huge and hopefully I mean he he

  deserved a ride with with with with a team.

  He's been pretty much funding his race in most of his career

  and and so you know it's nice when when he gets a little bit

  So looking forward to seeing that Kayla is replacing him on

  She went over in Europe and and kicked butt and got a couple of

  first places. She's an amazing rider so I'm

  looking forward to see what she does on that super sport bike

  know the race in in in in the world is is improve I shouldn't

  say improve it. It's nice to watch.

  I mean I watch everything. I watch Australian I watch the

  Canadian super bike you know I watch BSB you know the European
• 20:54
  league obviously the motor America the the you know the
• 20:57
  motor GP and and world super bike and you know racing took a

  took a hit in the US for a little bit and so it's nice to
• 21:06
  see that it's coming back fans are coming out and and showing
• 21:09
  up even you know club riding you know riding there more club
• 21:12
  riders out there there more young people coming out to club
• 21:15
  ride and get their skills up and and so it's it's a beautiful
• 21:19
  thing to see because it's so much fun you know and and you

  know who wouldn't want to race the motorcycle.
