- 0:18Speaker 2: uh as always and uh so much to discuss here
- 0:22Speaker 2: today so much to discuss where do we begin where
- 0:27Speaker 2: do we begin We begin by taking your call. Hello,
- 0:31Speaker 2: you're on the air.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Ron, Billy Goat.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Yes, the man with the Billy Goat beard.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Yeah, just wanted to call and update you. I had
- 0:38Speaker 3: my hernia surgery Tuesday.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Yes.
- 0:40Speaker 3: And I am on the road to recovery, my brother.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Was it a pleasant experience for you, Billy Goat, man
- 0:46Speaker 2: with the Billy Goat? Formerly the man with the Billy
- 0:48Speaker 2: Goat beard.
- 0:49Speaker 5: You know, it was good.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Kudos to the Cleveland Clinic. They went above and beyond,
- 0:55Speaker 3: and I had no problems whatsoever whatsoever. My nerves were
- 0:59Speaker 3: pretty low. I wasn't really nervous. But so far, I've
- 1:03Speaker 3: been doing good. I'm moving around more today. Most pain
- 1:07Speaker 3: is in the incisions in the stomach.
- 1:09Speaker 6: Where they put the scope through.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Down in the groin area is fine. That don't really
- 1:13Speaker 3: give me too much pain. That's most where they've done
- 1:16Speaker 3: the incisions.
- 1:17Speaker 2: You got any swelling and any of that kind of
- 1:21Speaker 2: stuff going on?
- 1:23Speaker 3: No, everything is good. And actually, the incisions are starting
- 1:26Speaker 3: to itch, so they're already healing. Everything is doing good.
- 1:30Speaker 3: I'm moving around today more.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Well, here's the key, though. Don't lift things heavy again.
- 1:38Speaker 2: I mean, if they haven't told you, they will tell you.
- 1:40Speaker 7: Yeah, they already told me.
- 1:42Speaker 3: No more than 15 pounds.
- 1:45Speaker 2: But, I mean, down the road, when you think you're
- 1:47Speaker 2: totally recovered, you better think twice before you say, maybe
- 1:51Speaker 2: I should ask for some help on lifting something like this.
- 1:53Speaker 8: You got it, buddy.
- 1:54Speaker 6: Oh, absolutely.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Yeah, oh, believe me, I've thought about all that. Things are...
- 1:58Speaker 3: things are going to be way different because I'm not
- 2:00Speaker 3: going to put myself back in this same boat again.
- 2:02Speaker 3: I don't want to be doing this in a year
- 2:04Speaker 3: or so, having to do it all over again.
- 2:06Speaker 6: So, oh, absolutely.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Well, there you go. Formerly the man with the billy
- 2:11Speaker 2: goat beard who shaved it off out of respect for
- 2:15Speaker 2: your fearless leader here. And he looked a thousand percent better, incidentally.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I mean, he just enhanced his His looks, he went
- 2:22Speaker 2: from looking like an odd freak to almost George Clooney-like
- 2:25Speaker 2: by simply shaving off his billy coat beard. And women
- 2:29Speaker 2: are just, it won't leave him alone anymore. He's got
- 2:33Speaker 2: his hernia fixed and Lord knows what he'll be up
- 2:37Speaker 2: to a year from now. I mean, it just could
- 2:39Speaker 2: get ugly. It could get really ugly for, you never
- 2:42Speaker 2: can tell. Well, I'm glad you're doing well. All right.
- 2:46Speaker 9: Yeah, doing well.
- 2:47Speaker 8: Doing really well.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Thank you, my friends. I'm glad you checked in. I
- 2:50Speaker 2: was thinking about you. Appreciate it.
- 2:52Speaker 10: Will do.
- 2:52Speaker 11: Thank you.
- 2:52Speaker 2: All right. You're on the air.
- 2:53Speaker 8: Hi, Ron. How you doing?
- 2:55Speaker 2: I am well.
- 2:56Speaker 8: Good to hear that that guy had his hernia repaired.
- 2:59Speaker 8: But don't go to the Cleveland Clinic for such a
- 3:01Speaker 8: minor surgery when we have wonderful care in the Youngstown area.
- 3:06Speaker 8: Stick with Mercy Health or Southwoods. They have excellent surgeons there.
- 3:10Speaker 8: And a direct or indirect hernia is, unless it's really complicated,
- 3:15Speaker 8: it's like having a root canal.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of times I fix them in my
- 3:19Speaker 2: garage for people over the weekend, you know.
- 3:21Speaker 8: You can do that. You could pop it back.
- 3:23Speaker 6: In for a while.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. I mean, I actually do the surgery
- 3:26Speaker 2: out there.
- 3:28Speaker 8: Let me get back to why I was calling. I
- 3:30Speaker 8: finally calmed down from last night. I was livid at
- 3:33Speaker 8: 9 o'clock when I put on... I usually watch ABC, NBC,
- 3:38Speaker 8: and I said, where is Donald Trump? I said, what's
- 3:41Speaker 8: going on? I said, Carolyn Leavitt said it was a
- 3:45Speaker 8: major address to the nation. It was newsworthy. But yet
- 3:50Speaker 8: these two networks refused to show it. So I switched
- 3:55Speaker 8: over to CBS. And lo and behold, they weren't showing
- 3:59Speaker 8: the first part of the speech. They had Major Garrett.
- 4:03Speaker 8: I don't know if you know who Major Garrett was on.
- 4:06Speaker 8: He's one of the commentators on CBS. His eyes were
- 4:10Speaker 8: popping out. He was rolling his head. He proceeded to
- 4:15Speaker 8: tell me what Donald Trump was going to say and
- 4:18Speaker 8: what the speech was about and what conclusions I should
- 4:21Speaker 8: draw from it. What are you people talking about? Let
- 4:24Speaker 8: me hear the president. I'll draw my own conclusions. And ABC, NBC,
- 4:33Speaker 8: what were they afraid of? with it that they were
- 4:36Speaker 8: refused to show trumps address i was sort of disappointed
- 4:39Speaker 8: i was or a little surprise pleasantly but then i
- 4:42Speaker 8: was disappointed with other aspects he it was a blockbuster
- 4:49Speaker 8: disclosure but uh... this stuff he let go too long
- 4:55Speaker 8: we knew most of this we knew the election was
- 4:58Speaker 8: compromised in twenty twenty i don't know if you know
- 5:01Speaker 8: who said the policy yes Cindy Powell, General Flynn, Patrick
- 5:05Speaker 8: Burns were in the White House before the 2020 election
- 5:08Speaker 8: was certified. Sidney Powell had a ton of evidence showing
- 5:15Speaker 8: that the election was fraudulent. And they tried to..
- 5:20Speaker 2: I think they sued her in one, though, didn't they?
- 5:22Speaker 8: She just won her case. Lo and behold, she was right.
- 5:25Speaker 8: They were wrong. Everything she said was true. All of
- 5:28Speaker 8: the facts and data she presented... And what they were
- 5:32Speaker 8: trying to get Trump to do was to convene a
- 5:37Speaker 8: military tribunal and don't certify the election and arrest certain
- 5:42Speaker 8: people for election fraud. and certain intelligence officials. Trump, there
- 5:49Speaker 8: were two..
- 5:50Speaker 2: Well, let's just cut to the speech last night. I mean,
- 5:53Speaker 2: first of all, I don't know, don't you have cable?
- 5:55Speaker 2: It was on Fox. I mean, why would you go
- 5:57Speaker 2: anywhere else?
- 5:58Speaker 8: It was on Fox, but I usually watch it on my..
- 6:00Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean, it goes without saying. Listen, if
- 6:04Speaker 2: you're asking me why, listen, it's Trump. Why do you
- 6:07Speaker 2: think ABC and NBC is not going to carry it?
- 6:09Speaker 2: Because it's Trump. Any other president, they would have carried it.
- 6:12Speaker 2: But because it's Trump, they decided not to carry it.
- 6:15Speaker 2: So why waste your time watching those networks? I mean,
- 6:18Speaker 2: I just tuned right into Fox to watch it. And
- 6:20Speaker 2: so there it was, word for word. I mean, next time,
- 6:24Speaker 2: go to Fox. And that's where you'll hear the speech.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Why put up with this?
- 6:28Speaker 8: When the media executives... get together and make a decision
- 6:32Speaker 8: behind closed doors to censure the president of the United
- 6:36Speaker 8: States from the American people. It's a big deal. You know,
- 6:40Speaker 8: that should raise all kind of alarm flags. It was disgusting.
- 6:45Speaker 8: But the information he released about the intelligence departments that
- 6:51Speaker 8: were withholding information from a sitting president, They did not
- 6:56Speaker 8: brief him. They knew what was going on with the
- 6:58Speaker 8: China interference in the elections, China, Russia, the other players.
- 7:03Speaker 8: They told not to tell him that. And then he
- 7:06Speaker 8: had one of the three-letter agencies, the lady that came
- 7:10Speaker 8: out and said that they were running a deep state
- 7:13Speaker 8: to run their own agenda. You know, these people should
- 7:16Speaker 8: be rounded up right now and arrested. But then when
- 7:19Speaker 8: you get to the point where They have verified a
- 7:23Speaker 8: quarter of a million illegals voted in the election, and
- 7:27Speaker 8: that's just in red states because the Democrats are hiding
- 7:32Speaker 8: all of the... So you probably had upwards of a
- 7:35Speaker 8: couple of million people voting in the election in 2020.
- 7:39Speaker 8: And to have Senator Warner come on after the speech
- 7:44Speaker 8: and call the president a liar, and all of the
- 7:48Speaker 8: commentators basically called Trump a liar... When he's released today,
- 7:53Speaker 8: you can go to WhiteHouse.gov and look at all of
- 7:55Speaker 8: the information that he released this morning and draw your
- 7:59Speaker 8: own conclusions. But there is hard evidence. But for them,
- 8:04Speaker 8: you know, most people don't bother watching the speeches. They
- 8:07Speaker 8: listen to mainstream media, okay? They listen to their nightly news, CBS, ABC, NBC,
- 8:15Speaker 8: whatever they're told they believe. And it's a shame that
- 8:19Speaker 8: this went on, but... The other thing I was disappointed with,
- 8:23Speaker 8: he didn't mention, I thought he would just mention briefly
- 8:26Speaker 8: the war and the escalation where we bombed the bridges
- 8:30Speaker 8: and railways and were doing civilian infrastructure. That sort of
- 8:34Speaker 8: upset me.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Well, quite frankly, I think that's what the entire speech
- 8:40Speaker 2: should have been about. I would back up to say this,
- 8:44Speaker 2: and I go back to say this. This is a mess.
- 8:47Speaker 2: This war situation is an absolute mess. And as a
- 8:51Speaker 2: Trump voter and a Trump supporter, this is a mess
- 8:54Speaker 2: that falls to Donald Trump. He created this mess. I
- 8:59Speaker 2: don't know that there's a way out of this mess.
- 9:02Speaker 2: And it's going to affect all of us. I mean,
- 9:04Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know how to tell this
- 9:05Speaker 2: to people. But here's the reality. I mean, in my opinion,
- 9:09Speaker 2: Trump was bamboozled into this because Netanyahu in Israel, when
- 9:14Speaker 2: he started this situation, he should have never done this
- 9:18Speaker 2: in the first place. I'm sure he thought this would
- 9:20Speaker 2: go much easier than it's gone, and it has not.
- 9:23Speaker 2: And it continues to go on with absolutely no end
- 9:27Speaker 2: in sight. Here's what the problem is. Our strategic oil
- 9:30Speaker 2: reserves continue to dwindle as we continue to draw on
- 9:35Speaker 2: them to try to keep oil prices down. So they're dwindling.
- 9:39Speaker 2: And at some point, it's just going to stop as
- 9:42Speaker 2: far as us taking oil out of them. Listen, as
- 9:45Speaker 2: far as I'm concerned, a major mistake. I think a
- 9:48Speaker 2: lot of inflation is going to come and higher gasoline
- 9:52Speaker 2: and oil prices will come as a result of this mess.
- 9:55Speaker 2: It is an absolute, absolute mess that the he got
- 10:00Speaker 2: this country into. And remember, before the war, the strait
- 10:06Speaker 2: was open. There was absolutely no problems at all. We
- 10:09Speaker 2: didn't have any of these issues before the war. I
- 10:12Speaker 2: was not staying up at night worried about a nuclear
- 10:15Speaker 2: threat from Iran at all. And even our own intelligence
- 10:19Speaker 2: departments said that there was nothing there to worry about.
- 10:23Speaker 2: But for some reason, he reversed himself, as I said.
- 10:26Speaker 2: He's got involved in this regime change stuff in the
- 10:29Speaker 2: Middle East. We're bogged down now for months with no
- 10:33Speaker 2: good way out, no end in sight. And the only
- 10:37Speaker 2: thing that is in sight is higher energy prices, higher
- 10:40Speaker 2: oil prices, higher inflation and inflation. our reserves of oil
- 10:46Speaker 2: are dwindling. So you tell me how that's perhaps the
- 10:51Speaker 2: most important issue that needs to be addressed at this time.
- 10:54Speaker 4: I mean, it's vital.
- 10:55Speaker 8: You're 100% right. I agree with you 100%. And one
- 10:59Speaker 8: of Trump's flaws is he doubles down when he makes
- 11:03Speaker 8: a mistake. He refuses to admit he was wrong. He'll
- 11:07Speaker 8: go down the wrong path, and he'll double down and
- 11:10Speaker 8: make it worse. And he did that with... Not just
- 11:14Speaker 8: the war, but with COVID. We made a mistake with COVID.
- 11:17Speaker 8: He wouldn't admit that.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I can only deal with one thing that I think
- 11:21Speaker 2: is major at this time. Listen, do I think COVID
- 11:23Speaker 2: had problems and are we holding people accountable for it?
- 11:26Speaker 2: Absolutely not. Do I think that we've got to have
- 11:28Speaker 2: secure elections? Absolutely. I think all of this is important.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Make no mistake about it. But I do think the
- 11:34Speaker 2: single most important issue facing us right now is what's
- 11:37Speaker 2: going on in Iran and where this could head and
- 11:40Speaker 2: what's going on there. And I'm just here to say,
- 11:43Speaker 2: as somebody who voted for Trump, somebody who would certainly
- 11:46Speaker 2: vote for Trump over Harris any day of the week
- 11:48Speaker 2: or over Biden or any Democrat any day of the week,
- 11:52Speaker 2: I am deeply troubled by the mess he got this
- 11:54Speaker 2: country into with no end in sight. And I think
- 11:57Speaker 2: it's going to cost all of us dearly. Gas prices
- 12:00Speaker 2: are back up to four bucks a gallon. I think
- 12:02Speaker 2: they could go higher than that. We're draining our strategic
- 12:06Speaker 2: oil reserves. I mean, they are just– we as a
- 12:10Speaker 2: country are not in a good position economically right now
- 12:13Speaker 2: at all. And you are a smart financial guy. Too
- 12:18Speaker 2: many financial people are talking recession and a depression as
- 12:24Speaker 2: a result of this. I mean, we've got different criteria
- 12:29Speaker 2: than we had in 1929 for the depression. But they're
- 12:32Speaker 2: talking a deep recession or a depression. And I think
- 12:36Speaker 2: that's just cause for concern as we see what's taking
- 12:40Speaker 2: place here.
- 12:42Speaker 8: Yes, you should be one of the people advising Trump.
- 12:44Speaker 8: But look at all the people that tried to advise Trump.
- 12:47Speaker 2: There is no advising him. I mean, there's absolutely no
- 12:52Speaker 2: advising him whatsoever. I mean, he makes a decision and
- 12:55Speaker 2: he goes with it. He stays with it. And I
- 12:59Speaker 2: just think the guy was duped by Netanyahu and Israel
- 13:02Speaker 2: to get involved in this in the first place. And
- 13:04Speaker 2: I don't know that there's any easy way out of
- 13:07Speaker 2: this at all.
- 13:09Speaker 8: I'm sad to say you're right. It's not looking good,
- 13:14Speaker 8: and I think it's going to be a very long war,
- 13:16Speaker 8: and hopefully we don't go into a recession, depression, but It.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Could very well go in that direction, but it's not
- 13:23Speaker 2: just oil, as you well know. It's helium. It's fertilizer.
- 13:30Speaker 2: There's so many chemicals that are affected by this as
- 13:33Speaker 2: well that are necessary for business. So don't think it's
- 13:36Speaker 2: just all about energy. There's other chemicals that you can't
- 13:40Speaker 2: get that are needed for many companies. I mean, this
- 13:43Speaker 2: was just a stupid move that is just going on
- 13:47Speaker 2: and on and on and on. What's the answer to
- 13:49Speaker 2: get out? Well, we'll bomb them more. Well, I think
- 13:52Speaker 2: we bombed them a lot, so let's bomb them some more. Okay,
- 13:55Speaker 2: what do you want to do? Well, we're going to
- 13:56Speaker 2: bomb the desalinization plants. We're going to bomb the bridges. Okay,
- 14:06Speaker 2: so what do you do if that doesn't work?
- 14:09Speaker 8: Well, we're doing that today, and I hate to see
- 14:11Speaker 8: civilians get affected, and I wish that... We wouldn't have
- 14:17Speaker 8: bought into that. We did it in Iraq with Bush,
- 14:20Speaker 8: weapons of mass destruction that didn't exist. And Netanyahu's been
- 14:25Speaker 8: telling us since 1995 that they're three weeks away from
- 14:29Speaker 8: a bomb, and the end of the world is coming.
- 14:32Speaker 8: But somehow Trump, he got suckered into it, and he
- 14:36Speaker 8: bought that story, and the country is going to pay
- 14:39Speaker 8: the price, like you said.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Well, it isn't necessarily the country. It's all of us
- 14:42Speaker 2: that are going to be paying the price. We're the
- 14:44Speaker 2: ones that are going to pay the price financially for
- 14:48Speaker 2: these decisions that were made. Listen, I think the bunker
- 14:51Speaker 2: buster solved the problem. And I don't think that they
- 14:54Speaker 2: were a nuclear threat at all. I think the problem
- 14:56Speaker 2: was solved with that. So it's a mess.
- 15:00Speaker 8: He did solve the problem when it happened. He awarded
- 15:03Speaker 8: medals to all the pilots, and it was a great success,
- 15:07Speaker 8: and the threat was over. And then all of a sudden,
- 15:10Speaker 8: what happened? Boom, we're back into a war.
- 15:12Speaker 2: And if you believe what some of the people say,
- 15:13Speaker 2: we are running out of weapons, quite frankly. I don't
- 15:17Speaker 2: know if the right word is weapons or bombs.
- 15:20Speaker 8: Yes, you're right. That's the big, big problem.
- 15:22Speaker 2: We are running out of it. I mean, we are
- 15:23Speaker 2: desperately low from all that was sold and given away
- 15:27Speaker 2: to Ukraine and what we've been using. We are in
- 15:31Speaker 2: short supply.
- 15:33Speaker 8: China has to be sitting back and loving this.
- 15:35Speaker 6: Oh, absolutely. Absolutely.
- 15:36Speaker 8: Depleting our military, and if they ever decide to take
- 15:40Speaker 8: Taiwan someday in the future, that we'll be a much
- 15:43Speaker 8: weakened military, but that's just what they want. But I'll
- 15:47Speaker 8: let other people say what they think about the speech.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Good hearing you, my friend.
- 15:51Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Back after this. Stay tuned.
- 16:05Speaker 5: You know, I listen to you, and I just don't
- 16:07Speaker 5: understand you.
- 16:08Speaker 2: I'm a walking contradiction, partly truth and partly fiction.
- 16:13Speaker 5: You know what?
- 16:13Speaker 6: You said it, didn't you, buddy?
- 16:15Speaker 2: Let's say Chris Christopherson. Yes, go ahead.
- 16:19Speaker 5: I've got this under control, man.
- 16:21Speaker 2: No, he doesn't have this under control.
- 16:23Speaker 12: Wait, wait.
- 16:24Speaker 6: Let me talk now.
- 16:25Speaker 2: I'll let you talk, but that's a false statement. He
- 16:27Speaker 2: does not have this under control.
- 16:28Speaker 6: Wait a minute, wait a minute. We're talking.
- 16:32Speaker 5: You're listening, okay? I love that, by the way, how
- 16:34Speaker 5: you start that, how you start the show. I love that,
- 16:37Speaker 5: that slogan you got.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 16:41Speaker 5: Anyhow, he's bombing the hell out of them and taking
- 16:45Speaker 5: them out so that way they can't do anything.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Well, we've done that. We've done that. We've done that
- 16:50Speaker 2: all along.
- 16:50Speaker 5: No, we're not done yet.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Oh, okay. We're not done yet.
- 16:54Speaker 5: See, there's targets. that they either launch from or have things. And,
- 16:59Speaker 5: of course, we have to take care of that Peacock
- 17:02Speaker 5: Mountain or whatever you call it. He's going to put
- 17:05Speaker 5: some B-2 bombers on that one.
- 17:08Speaker 2: So you're telling me, just so I get an understanding
- 17:11Speaker 2: from your insight, General, can I call you General, that
- 17:16Speaker 2: when this bombing campaign is done, it'll all be over
- 17:18Speaker 2: and things will go back, the Strait will be open
- 17:21Speaker 2: and everything will go back to normal?
- 17:23Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 17:24Speaker 5: Everything goes back, and also the other Arabian countries, who
- 17:29Speaker 5: love him for doing this, by the way, are going
- 17:33Speaker 5: to feel much safer, and they're building pipelines. Up to Israel,
- 17:38Speaker 5: you know what I mean?
- 17:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, certainly pipelines are a good idea, but
- 17:42Speaker 2: it's not as though pipelines can't be sabotaged. We've seen
- 17:46Speaker 2: that numerous times.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Yes, we have.
- 17:48Speaker 5: Yes, we have. Now, I'm not saying everything's going to
- 17:50Speaker 5: be safe. I'm just saying that..
- 17:52Speaker 2: Well, I'm just saying that this is a mess. I'm
- 17:55Speaker 2: saying it's a mess. You know as well as I
- 17:57Speaker 2: do he thought this would be over relatively quickly. It
- 17:59Speaker 2: is not. He keeps talking, well, they want to make
- 18:03Speaker 2: an agreement, and that was probably all BS because they didn't.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Then we went into this 60-day truce or whatever you
- 18:12Speaker 2: want to say.
- 18:13Speaker 5: No, Islam doesn't honor agreements.
- 18:16Speaker 2: All right. So why did he say that then?
- 18:18Speaker 6: Now he does. And now he calls them liars.
- 18:23Speaker 5: And cheaters, and now he's figured it out. Now, I
- 18:25Speaker 5: figured that out. I figured that out because I'm Lebanese,
- 18:28Speaker 5: and I knew that back in the 80s.
- 18:31Speaker 6: Especially when they bombed our marine barracks.
- 18:34Speaker 5: That kicked me off.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Well, I tell you what, we shall see is all
- 18:39Speaker 2: I can say to you. We shall see.
- 18:41Speaker 5: I know that one.
- 18:41Speaker 2: All right.
- 18:42Speaker 6: Goodbye.
- 18:43Speaker 7: You're on the air.
- 18:45Speaker 14: Hi, Ron.
- 18:46Speaker 6: Hi.
- 18:47Speaker 15: Hey, I'm calling because yesterday I laughed. Frank from Fort Lauderdale,
- 18:54Speaker 15: I think, mentioned me, because I had asked you previously
- 19:00Speaker 15: what he meant about the, when he always talks about Zionists.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, he said he would address that one on
- 19:05Speaker 2: a future program, yes.
- 19:07Speaker 15: Yeah, so, because I don't know, like, what Zionist is,
- 19:12Speaker 15: if it's like this cabal that wants Israel to control
- 19:14Speaker 15: the world, or if it's just all Jews, or what
- 19:18Speaker 15: it is. But can you ask him a question when
- 19:20Speaker 15: he doesn't do that for me?
- 19:21Speaker 2: What is that?
- 19:23Speaker 15: Ask him if Jerry Seinfeld is a Zionist.
- 19:26Speaker 4: All right.
- 19:28Speaker 14: And then from.
- 19:29Speaker 15: There we can go and whether or not, you know,
- 19:32Speaker 15: who he's exactly talking about, who the Zionists are. You
- 19:35Speaker 15: know what Jerry Seinfeld said after the Knicks game?
- 19:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:41Speaker 15: About when they asked him, you know, give us a
- 19:43Speaker 15: free Palestine. And he was like, it doesn't really exist, so.
- 19:48Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Well, we should.
- 19:49Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 19:50Speaker 2: We shall see. I will ask him. I don't think
- 19:52Speaker 2: I'm going to do that today with him, no. So
- 19:54Speaker 2: that's going to be maybe sometime next week he'll address that.
- 19:58Speaker 14: Okay, okay.
- 19:59Speaker 15: Well, yeah, I just wanted to say about the Iran thing.
- 20:03Speaker 15: I guess time will tell if it's a mistake or not, but..
- 20:08Speaker 2: I don't know. To me, time is... Time is already
- 20:10Speaker 2: telling me it's a mistake. I mean, how much more
- 20:14Speaker 2: time am I supposed to give it?
- 20:17Speaker 15: I don't think Iran was or never wants to be
- 20:21Speaker 15: a cooperative member of, like, the world economy.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Well, isn't that their choosing? They are their own country.
- 20:30Speaker 2: I mean, you know, they are, what, a country of
- 20:32Speaker 2: 93 million people. I mean, I've said this before, which
- 20:36Speaker 2: I'd say to you. It is... It is a different
- 20:40Speaker 2: world over there. It's a different culture. It's a different mentality.
- 20:44Speaker 2: They don't think like you think. And you think they
- 20:47Speaker 2: should think like you think. And they don't want to
- 20:49Speaker 2: think like you think. So what is there? It's hard
- 20:53Speaker 2: for a lot of people to understand that. It's just
- 20:55Speaker 2: a whole different mentality. I say that it's just that
- 21:00Speaker 2: that's the reality. I mean, do you really were you
- 21:02Speaker 2: staying up at night thinking Iran was a nuclear threat
- 21:05Speaker 2: to the United States? I didn't believe it then. I
- 21:08Speaker 2: don't believe it now.
- 21:09Speaker 13: At all.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Stand by for me. Just stand by. I'll come back
- 21:12Speaker 2: to you. Back with him and more calls.
- 21:16Speaker 17: 330-729-9977.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Ron Furb from the Kingdom of Mahoning. Back in a minute.
- 21:20Speaker 18: Let's start here.
- 21:21Speaker 13: So good morning and welcome. We are now underway.
- 21:24Speaker 19: We're following the events of the day. What we're just
- 21:26Speaker 19: now hearing about.
- 21:27Speaker 7: This is new information. Throughout the day.
- 21:30Speaker 11: Good day.
- 21:30Speaker 13: This is where it stands now.
- 21:32Speaker 7: Pick up the conversation.
- 21:33Speaker 18: We'll talk about what's happening.
- 21:35Speaker 4: Anytime. The deal we reached with Iran. The devil's in
- 21:38Speaker 4: the details.
- 21:38Speaker 13: Bringing the price of gasoline down.
- 21:40Speaker 7: Maintain the Fed funds rate.
- 21:41Speaker 18: Tying Pfizer to the save app.
- 21:43Speaker 19: NATO has been a paper tiger for the very latest.
- 21:46Speaker 4: We'll see how that all plays out.
- 21:48Speaker 1: News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 21:54Speaker 20: A Youngstown man is facing charges in connection to a
- 21:56Speaker 20: shooting last weekend that led to a rollover crash. 35-year-old
- 22:00Speaker 20: Eugene Tompkins is being charged with multiple counts, including attempted
- 22:04Speaker 20: murder and felonious assault. Tompkins has not yet been arrested,
- 22:08Speaker 20: and Boardman police are asking anyone with information as to
- 22:11Speaker 20: his whereabouts to reach out. A hearing over two short-term
- 22:15Speaker 20: rental homes in Butler County is being continued to August 11th.
- 22:19Speaker 20: The Liberty Township Board of Trustees is suing the property
- 22:22Speaker 20: owners after shots were fired at one of the homes
- 22:24Speaker 20: during a May after-prom party. Cincinnati is asking drivers for
- 22:29Speaker 20: patience as road repaving projects continue across the city. Crews
- 22:33Speaker 20: are rebuilding a half-mile stretch of Warsaw Avenue in East
- 22:36Speaker 20: Price Hill. It's part of a $ 10 million citywide project.
- 22:40Speaker 20: The work is expected to be finished by the end
- 22:42Speaker 20: of the year. I'm Andy Betts.
- 22:44Speaker 16: Listen on the free iHeartRadio app for all your music, news, talk,
- 22:48Speaker 16: and sports radio.
- 22:49Speaker 7: Podcast 2.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Download the app.
- 22:52Speaker 7: Free never sounded so good. A to Z dependable service.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Now, Ron Verb on News Radio 570 WKBN. All right,
- 23:02Speaker 1: let me go back to this guy. I mean, listen,
- 23:05Speaker 1: I don't make any apologies for it. I voted for Trump.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I'd vote for him again. There's no way I'd vote
- 23:10Speaker 1: for Biden or Harris or Gavin Newsom or anything along
- 23:13Speaker 1: those lines. But the reality is this is a mess,
- 23:17Speaker 1: and this mess rests right at his feet.
- 23:19Speaker 2: He's the commander-in-chief. He made this decision, and I'm convinced.
- 23:25Speaker 2: that he reversed his own position. He thought it would
- 23:28Speaker 2: be over much sooner. I don't think he understood the situation,
- 23:32Speaker 2: and I don't think many people don't understand it because
- 23:36Speaker 2: they think everyone over there thinks like we think or
- 23:38Speaker 2: should think like we think, and they don't.
- 23:42Speaker 15: Yeah, just answering to what you said about being afraid
- 23:47Speaker 15: of getting nuked by Iran. No, I would have never
- 23:50Speaker 15: said that, but I did say, think they are a
- 23:53Speaker 15: danger to global stability.
- 23:54Speaker 6: They always have been.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Well, let's see if that happens. You don't think with
- 24:00Speaker 2: our spy agencies and Israel that we don't know exactly
- 24:05Speaker 2: what they're doing and what's going on? I mean, sometimes
- 24:08Speaker 2: I think that these... I don't want to say an overreaction,
- 24:12Speaker 2: but I just wonder about all of that, including when
- 24:17Speaker 2: our own intelligence disagreed with what Israel was saying. So,
- 24:21Speaker 2: and Israel, I think, had an agenda on this, or
- 24:23Speaker 2: Netanyahu had an agenda on this to get us involved
- 24:26Speaker 2: in this mess. I mean, how long is this supposed
- 24:30Speaker 2: to go on? The Ukraine's been five years now that
- 24:34Speaker 2: that mess has been going on. Should this go on
- 24:36Speaker 2: five years? I mean, it's... Tell me what the end
- 24:41Speaker 2: is here. Well, we'll bomb some more. Okay. What's the
- 24:46Speaker 2: definition of insanity? Doing the same thing again and expecting
- 24:49Speaker 2: different results. Well, we'll bomb some more. Only this time
- 24:52Speaker 2: we're going to bomb people's water. And this time we're
- 24:55Speaker 2: going to bomb bridges. And we're going to do that
- 24:58Speaker 2: kind of stuff to really put the screws to Joe
- 25:01Speaker 2: Bag of Donuts over there. Well, is that going to?
- 25:05Speaker 2: We shall see what the outcome of that is. That
- 25:08Speaker 2: might just unite the country more than you've ever seen.
- 25:13Speaker 15: Yeah, I hear what you're saying. I mean, the only
- 25:16Speaker 15: last thing I'd say is, and I've said this before,
- 25:19Speaker 15: is that I hope we don't overreach with any manned
- 25:21Speaker 15: missions because if they capture one of our pilots, everything's
- 25:25Speaker 15: going to change. If they, like that colonel that went
- 25:27Speaker 15: down and we got him out of there, you know,
- 25:30Speaker 15: because they would... That regime would definitely give up 10,000
- 25:33Speaker 15: of their guys for one of ours.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Well, I think you'd have to ask a simple question.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Look at how far Iran is from the United States
- 25:41Speaker 2: of America. So just from a strategy standpoint, as George
- 25:46Speaker 2: Bush used to say, you better take that into consideration.
- 25:49Speaker 2: It's a long way to get men's supplies and materials
- 25:53Speaker 2: to that location. It's just... It's not a good thing. And,
- 26:02Speaker 2: I mean, what are we suffering? I mean, I was
- 26:05Speaker 2: just looking at it last night, the Strategic Oil Reserve,
- 26:08Speaker 2: and it's way down. I mean, we are draining our
- 26:10Speaker 2: Strategic Oil Reserves to keep gasoline prices at, what, $ 4
- 26:14Speaker 2: a gallon or what have you, and it's reaching a low.
- 26:18Speaker 2: So what do you do once you drained enough of
- 26:21Speaker 2: that or once you say we can't drain it anymore?
- 26:23Speaker 2: Now what do you do? Now, in these other countries
- 26:27Speaker 2: that have done the same thing. Now, what do you
- 26:29Speaker 2: do when you've drained your reserve supply, if you will,
- 26:32Speaker 2: of oil? Well, I suspect. that oil prices will go
- 26:37Speaker 2: up and gasoline prices will go up and diesel prices
- 26:41Speaker 2: will go up, and that means airline tickets will cost more,
- 26:44Speaker 2: shipping will cost more, goods on any truck, any type
- 26:48Speaker 2: of goods you need, plastics will cost more, asphalt, shingles,
- 26:53Speaker 2: so many things that are oil-based. So that would just
- 26:56Speaker 2: make inflation even worse than it is and your savings
- 27:00Speaker 2: worth even less. So, is that good for anybody? I
- 27:07Speaker 2: don't think so.
- 27:07Speaker 15: No, I'm hoping it just comes to an acceptable end,
- 27:11Speaker 15: and I hope to God that one of our Air
- 27:13Speaker 15: Force colonels or something doesn't get captured, because then all
- 27:16Speaker 15: hell will break loose, I would predict. But thank you for.
- 27:20Speaker 7: Taking my call.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Thank you. I appreciate your call. NewsRadio 570. I don't
- 27:24Speaker 2: fall into that category. I realize that there are people
- 27:27Speaker 2: that are just cheerleaders saying that there's nothing Trump can
- 27:29Speaker 2: do that they don't. Well, listen, that's not me. And
- 27:39Speaker 2: I just think that this is an absolute mess. And
- 27:45Speaker 2: an absolute mess that is just destroying our economy and
- 27:52Speaker 2: a lot of our future if this continues. And I
- 27:57Speaker 2: don't think there's a good way out at all. We
- 28:03Speaker 2: shall see. You're on the air.
- 28:05Speaker 9: Ron, I always thought the Zionist people were..
- 28:08Speaker 2: No, I don't want to talk about that. Where have
- 28:10Speaker 2: you been? I've actually had emails from listeners.
- 28:14Speaker 5: This is.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Unbelievable to me. I mean, it's absolutely unbelievable to me, folks.
- 28:21Speaker 21: You're not going to believe this.
- 28:22Speaker 9: Were they women?
- 28:25Speaker 2: They were... I think they were mainly women.
- 28:28Speaker 4: I know.
- 28:29Speaker 9: I'm attracted to women.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Women are fascinated by..
- 28:33Speaker 9: I'm like a lightning rod to women.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Yes, but they were saying..
- 28:36Speaker 9: Walk in my shoes.
- 28:37Speaker 4: Okay, go ahead.
- 28:37Speaker 2: So people were saying, we haven't heard Denny in a
- 28:40Speaker 2: long time. What happened to Denny? Is Denny dead? All
- 28:44Speaker 2: that kind of stuff. No, I had a guy call
- 28:46Speaker 2: me and said, well, Denny said he was going off
- 28:48Speaker 2: his medication. Did he go off his medication? Is he dead?
- 28:51Speaker 2: We hadn't heard from you so long. They expected me. Well,
- 28:56Speaker 2: he's partly.
- 28:57Speaker 9: Correct because I quit drinking Keystone. So I think it
- 29:02Speaker 9: might have something to do with my gout. But, you know,
- 29:05Speaker 9: I've tried to call a couple times, but my patience
- 29:11Speaker 9: is dwindling in my older age. I don't need to
- 29:16Speaker 9: be on your show. But when you said you requested
- 29:20Speaker 9: that I call today, I just, oh, my God. I
- 29:24Speaker 9: better call.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Well, because there's people worried about you. For the life
- 29:28Speaker 2: of me, I can't understand it myself, but they're all saying,
- 29:32Speaker 2: did anything happen to Denny? So I actually had that
- 29:35Speaker 2: guy that called me and said, when Denny called, he
- 29:37Speaker 2: said he was going off his medications. Did you say that?
- 29:42Speaker 9: No, I got off my Keystone Life.
- 29:44Speaker 2: All right, because I thought when that guy was saying it,
- 29:47Speaker 2: he was mistaking you for, remember the other guy from
- 29:52Speaker 2: up there when we were on remote? Yeah, Dennis.
- 29:55Speaker 9: His name was Dennis.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Yeah, remember? And he has a form of cancer.
- 29:59Speaker 18: I know.
- 30:00Speaker 7: I feel sorry for the guy.
- 30:02Speaker 9: I like that guy. We sat and talked. Yeah, on
- 30:04Speaker 9: the air, we talked.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:07Speaker 7: I know who you mean.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Right. So he said he was going off of his
- 30:12Speaker 2: medication and people mistook him for you going off your medication.
- 30:18Speaker 2: And so then people thought they hadn't heard from you.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Did you die?
- 30:22Speaker 4: No.
- 30:23Speaker 2: They wanted me to go this weekend and knock on
- 30:26Speaker 2: every door in Rock Creek saying, do you know Denny
- 30:29Speaker 2: from Rock Creek? Is he alive and well?
- 30:32Speaker 9: Well, that'll only take a couple hours, if that.
- 30:36Speaker 2: So it's amazing how many people were concerned about you.
- 30:39Speaker 9: You know, I love Rock Creek. I love the rural
- 30:42Speaker 9: area setting. I mean, you can't get stuff done very quick.
- 30:45Speaker 9: Nothing moves very fast here in Rock Creek, trust me.
- 30:49Speaker 9: But I love a small town. It's kind of like
- 30:52Speaker 9: Mayberry without the barber and party.
- 30:58Speaker 2: How old are you? How old are you?
- 31:00Speaker 9: Oh, that's the other thing. Yeah, I'm 72. I'm fine
- 31:03Speaker 9: so far, but you never know. I think about it
- 31:08Speaker 9: every day.
- 31:09Speaker 6: Okay.
- 31:10Speaker 2: So you're 72, and describe a typical day in the
- 31:16Speaker 2: life of Denny from Rock Creek. What time did you
- 31:20Speaker 2: wake up today?
- 31:22Speaker 9: I usually wake up about 4 or 4.30 because I
- 31:25Speaker 9: have to go and pee.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Oh, great.
- 31:28Speaker 9: Why go back to bed? And then sometimes I do,
- 31:31Speaker 9: if I didn't get enough Zen sleep through the night,
- 31:35Speaker 9: like these hot nights, I didn't get a lot of
- 31:38Speaker 9: Zen sleep because I don't have air conditioning.
- 31:42Speaker 6: I know.
- 31:42Speaker 4: Why?
- 31:43Speaker 2: What is wrong with you?
- 31:45Speaker 9: Because I'm a stubborn Finn like my dad.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Well, I don't understand at 72 why you don't have
- 31:53Speaker 2: air conditioning and it's heat and humidity. That's your first
- 31:55Speaker 2: problem right there. So then when you get up at 430,
- 31:59Speaker 2: do you even leave the house on a day like today?
- 32:02Speaker 9: Yeah, well, I got those Democrats up there at McDonald's.
- 32:07Speaker 9: I go up and at least I can talk to them.
- 32:11Speaker 2: So wait a minute. I want to picture this. So
- 32:14Speaker 2: then you leave the House. You're one of those old people.
- 32:18Speaker 2: You always got these old people. What is there about
- 32:22Speaker 2: old people? They always go out in the morning and
- 32:25Speaker 2: they got to go meet people. They either go to
- 32:28Speaker 2: Chick-fil-A or they go to McDonald's. Or they go to Dunkin' Donuts.
- 32:32Speaker 2: It's always, oh, there's all these old people. They all
- 32:35Speaker 2: gather for coffee and commiserate. Every damn day they sit
- 32:40Speaker 2: there just doing that. And I'm thinking, what the hell
- 32:43Speaker 2: is this? Well, it all.
- 32:45Speaker 9: Started with COVID. When COVID hit, they shut down the
- 32:49Speaker 9: dining in the McDonald's. So the guys would sit out
- 32:52Speaker 9: in their lawn chairs in the parking lot there. And
- 32:54Speaker 9: I said, oh, this is cool. We can greet the
- 32:56Speaker 9: out-of-state people that come in off of Interstate 90. And
- 33:00Speaker 9: I tell you, there's a lot of smart people that
- 33:03Speaker 9: drive through Asheville County, but they never stay. But you
- 33:07Speaker 9: get a chance to.
- 33:07Speaker 14: Talk to them.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Now, how many, forget this, I don't care, how many
- 33:10Speaker 2: old people are gathering at your morning social?
- 33:14Speaker 9: Oh, we had a big circle Monday. There was like
- 33:19Speaker 9: eight or nine lawn chairs. We had to widen the circle.
- 33:22Speaker 2: So you're sitting outside?
- 33:24Speaker 9: We put a cone in the handicapped parking space right
- 33:30Speaker 9: underneath that beautiful shade tree because we needed shade. So
- 33:35Speaker 9: we've taken over the handicapped park.
- 33:38Speaker 2: I think that might be illegal. But needless to say,
- 33:40Speaker 2: so there's eight or nine of you sitting at this
- 33:42Speaker 2: McDonald's in lawn chairs?
- 33:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:45Speaker 21: I know.
- 33:45Speaker 9: It's so much fun when you get out-of-towners come in,
- 33:48Speaker 9: and they took a picture of us the other day.
- 33:51Speaker 9: Can we take a picture of you?
- 33:53Speaker 2: Yeah, sure.
- 33:54Speaker 9: They take a picture.
- 33:55Speaker 2: And what are you guys talking about?
- 33:58Speaker 9: Anything and everything except Donald Trump. I can't bring up
- 34:02Speaker 9: Donald Trump.
- 34:04Speaker 2: So there's rules about you. Like when you show up,
- 34:07Speaker 2: are they happy, or do they look like, oh, God,
- 34:09Speaker 2: here's Denny?
- 34:10Speaker 9: Well, I don't know. Well, things get fired up when
- 34:14Speaker 9: I come, I guess. I don't know if it's good
- 34:16Speaker 9: or bad.
- 34:20Speaker 2: It's incredible. What is up with this? This goes on
- 34:24Speaker 2: all over the country. I mean, I don't– listen, I'm
- 34:27Speaker 2: no spring chicken, but I can assure you of one thing.
- 34:30Speaker 2: I can assure you of one thing. You will never
- 34:33Speaker 2: see me get up in the morning to go sit
- 34:36Speaker 2: with a– now, I do admit this. I have lunch
- 34:39Speaker 2: every Saturday with the same group of folks that I've
- 34:42Speaker 2: had for years. But that was when we were younger
- 34:45Speaker 2: and as we've all aged. I always have lunch with
- 34:50Speaker 2: the same group. And it's a small group of us
- 34:54Speaker 2: that have been friends for quite some time. So needless
- 34:57Speaker 2: to say, I can't ever imagine going to a McDonald's
- 35:02Speaker 2: at six or seven in the morning, sitting in a
- 35:04Speaker 2: lawn chair with a bunch of old people talking about nothing.
- 35:09Speaker 9: It's got to be near an interstate that people come
- 35:12Speaker 9: from out of town.
- 35:13Speaker 7: We talk to a retired..
- 35:16Speaker 2: You can go to McDonald's around here. You can go
- 35:19Speaker 2: to the Chick-fil-A around here. I see these old guys.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Those people are boring.
- 35:24Speaker 9: We talk to an NFL retired player from the... The
- 35:28Speaker 9: New England Patriots. He's got rings on his finger.
- 35:32Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 35:32Speaker 9: We talked the other day. He's a 75-year-old athlete at
- 35:37Speaker 9: the Spire this few days. He's got a hotel from Massachusetts.
- 35:42Speaker 22: All right.
- 35:43Speaker 9: So much interesting people. I love that. But what I
- 35:47Speaker 9: wanted to call about was you guys don't understand.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Jesus, give me the strength.
- 35:55Speaker 9: Iran's guard is. The IRGC is a mafia. All they
- 36:02Speaker 9: care about is power and money.
- 36:06Speaker 2: Like you.
- 36:06Speaker 9: And controlling people.
- 36:07Speaker 2: Isn't that what you cared about all your life?
- 36:10Speaker 9: They want to kill the Israels. They want to kill
- 36:12Speaker 9: the Americans. And they're fighting for their lives right now.
- 36:17Speaker 9: Donald Trump is right on with this. He's got them
- 36:20Speaker 9: right where he wants them.
- 36:22Speaker 7: And he's got to have patience.
- 36:24Speaker 9: He's got to have patience. Because we don't want to
- 36:27Speaker 9: go in there and just wipe out the whole country
- 36:29Speaker 9: with boots on the ground. We could do this financially
- 36:34Speaker 9: and strike their facilities, the military that control the strait,
- 36:43Speaker 9: because they want to control that strait because that gives
- 36:46Speaker 9: them money and power. They like us all the time.
- 36:51Speaker 9: You've got to follow Donald Trump. You've got to watch
- 36:53Speaker 9: Fox News and Fox News.
- 36:54Speaker 2: See, here's the thing. I'm trying to figure this out.
- 36:57Speaker 2: The more you talk, some of our listeners missed you,
- 37:01Speaker 2: and I'm trying to think, gee, I wondered if I
- 37:02Speaker 2: really missed you, the more you go on.
- 37:05Speaker 9: But the Zionists, yeah, I wonder what the Zionists meant.
- 37:09Speaker 9: But I thought it meant smart people. that want to
- 37:12Speaker 9: put effort to work hard to create wealth for themselves.
- 37:16Speaker 2: That's capitalism. I bet you get on the other seven guys'
- 37:23Speaker 2: nerves that are at McDonald's. Do they ever just put
- 37:26Speaker 2: their head in their hands and say, I got to go?
- 37:28Speaker 2: Do you buy coffee or support McDonald's in any way
- 37:31Speaker 2: while you're there?
- 37:32Speaker 9: No, I don't drink coffee after I leave the house.
- 37:37Speaker 2: I drink my own coffee.
- 37:38Speaker 3: I've got to make my own coffee with the Rock
- 37:41Speaker 3: Creek water.
- 37:42Speaker 2: You use their parking lot, and you don't even buy
- 37:44Speaker 2: a breakfast sandwich? You don't spend any money?
- 37:47Speaker 9: I treated them once or twice with some... Those treats
- 37:54Speaker 9: at McDonald's, I don't know. Well, Krispy Kreme had a
- 37:58Speaker 9: deal with them for a while, so I bought a
- 38:00Speaker 9: box of Krispy Kremes. I don't like them, by the way.
- 38:04Speaker 2: I mean, so you're sitting in a McDonald's parking lot
- 38:10Speaker 2: in lawn chairs. Why don't you go into the store?
- 38:13Speaker 9: Because it's so nice in the summer. And we're right
- 38:16Speaker 9: by the door where all those out-of-staters come in. So
- 38:19Speaker 9: they have to get by us to get in the door.
- 38:22Speaker 2: That's almost like a nightmare to me. That would be
- 38:25Speaker 2: an absolute nightmare.
- 38:27Speaker 9: They take pictures of us. They love us. It's an
- 38:29Speaker 9: amazing thing. You know, if you go to a McDonald's
- 38:33Speaker 9: and say, like, a boardman, there's no interstate traffic or anything.
- 38:39Speaker 9: You're going to see the same people go in and
- 38:42Speaker 9: out every day. How boring is that? We meet some
- 38:46Speaker 9: brilliant people, Republicans, that just drive right through Austinburg. They
- 38:52Speaker 9: just fly right by. But they have to stop, get
- 38:55Speaker 9: a pee and a coffee, and then they run into us.
- 39:00Speaker 2: All right. More of the life of Denny on our
- 39:03Speaker 2: next phone call. Thank you. I mean, Have a nice day.
- 39:06Speaker 9: I'm fine, people. I'm fine. So far, so far. My
- 39:10Speaker 9: gout has gone down. I think it's gout.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Well, just so you know, I mean, I had no idea.
- 39:16Speaker 9: I'm not sure.
- 39:17Speaker 2: I did send flowers to the nursing home, to the
- 39:20Speaker 2: funeral home, so hopefully somebody got to got to use them.
- 39:24Speaker 9: I think i got a story about uh i don't i.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Don't want to hear it i don't know goodbye you're
- 39:29Speaker 2: on the air hello yes.
- 39:34Speaker 23: Hey ron uh today is july 17th yes and you
- 39:40Speaker 23: are talking about trump and uh war being a mess
- 39:44Speaker 23: and i'm going to disagree i'd I think what Dennis
- 39:48Speaker 23: said kind of covered what I wanted to say. But Trump,
- 39:53Speaker 23: they're doing a little bit of the time, and they
- 39:55Speaker 23: were talking about, and this colonel was on yesterday talking
- 40:00Speaker 23: about it. He said they're strategically cutting out certain parts
- 40:04Speaker 23: in Iran. And I think we're at something... They even said.
- 40:10Speaker 2: That Iran is not going to.
- 40:12Speaker 23: Have anything to bargain with.
- 40:14Speaker 2: All right, hang on. Oh, I don't agree with that.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Stand by.
- 40:16Speaker 1: I'll come right back to you. All right, I want
- 40:24Speaker 1: to go back to this gentleman. He's saying that you
- 40:30Speaker 1: think this is going well or on track?
- 40:34Speaker 23: Well, I mean, to me it seems kind of slow,
- 40:36Speaker 23: but I understand what they're doing.
- 40:38Speaker 2: What are they doing?
- 40:39Speaker 5: You know, they.
- 40:41Speaker 23: Bombed part of Karg Island, and he said he didn't
- 40:45Speaker 23: want to hit the oil tanks, which I agree with that.
- 40:49Speaker 23: And they also talked about possible boots on the ground,
- 40:52Speaker 23: but it wasn't going to be Americans. And I think
- 40:55Speaker 23: that we need to take that Revolutionary Guard out and
- 40:59Speaker 23: let the Iranians decide what kind of government that they
- 41:02Speaker 23: want in there. But we can't not continue to allow
- 41:06Speaker 23: the terrorist group that's running Iran to continue going on,
- 41:11Speaker 23: because they're even talking about going to the UAE to
- 41:16Speaker 23: get the Houthis to come and help them. So we
- 41:19Speaker 23: need to finish this job. And, you know, I've sent
- 41:22Speaker 23: four emails to President Trump already, and I said we
- 41:25Speaker 23: need to continue and finish this job. We don't need
- 41:28Speaker 23: another North Korea or another Vietnam. We need to get
- 41:32Speaker 23: this job done. And I'm going to tell you, today
- 41:35Speaker 23: is my birthday, and I'll be 77 years old, and
- 41:38Speaker 23: I want you to remember this day because I think
- 41:41Speaker 23: we're going to finish that job in Iran.
- 41:44Speaker 6: Really?
- 41:45Speaker 2: I don't see an end in sight. Now, are you
- 41:48Speaker 2: familiar that we're depleting our strategic oil reserves? Are you
- 41:51Speaker 2: familiar with that?
- 41:52Speaker 24: Yes, I am.
- 41:53Speaker 12: I know.
- 41:54Speaker 2: Are you familiar with... Some of it's a lot of hype. Oh,
- 41:59Speaker 2: you think that's hype?
- 42:01Speaker 22: Some of it.
- 42:02Speaker 2: So you don't think we're depleting them? Well, do you
- 42:04Speaker 2: think that..
- 42:05Speaker 23: Oh, yeah, it's going down, but I don't think we're
- 42:08Speaker 23: to the point where we're in trouble.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Well, do you think that we're running low on munitions?
- 42:18Speaker 1: Yes.
- 42:20Speaker 2: So..
- 42:20Speaker 4: I.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Mean, so you just think finish... What does finish the
- 42:26Speaker 2: job mean?
- 42:28Speaker 23: To go in there and take those guys out once
- 42:30Speaker 23: and for all and stop pussyfooting around.
- 42:32Speaker 2: Uh-huh. How far is Iran from the United States?
- 42:39Speaker 23: Oh, hell, I don't know.
- 42:41Speaker 2: You think..
- 42:41Speaker 22: I know it takes a while to get there.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Yeah, so it would take a while to get anything
- 42:46Speaker 2: there at all. I mean, it's not even remotely close.
- 42:51Speaker 2: Can we agree on that? I mean, listen... You're forgetting
- 42:59Speaker 2: this is another country of 93 million people, and you're
- 43:04Speaker 2: thinking that they all think like you? They do not.
- 43:07Speaker 2: They do not think like you at all.
- 43:12Speaker 23: But the Iranians do not want the Ayatollahs.
- 43:14Speaker 2: How do you know that? Did you see all the
- 43:16Speaker 2: people that showed up? How do you know that? What
- 43:19Speaker 2: makes you say that?
- 43:21Speaker 23: Because it's been reported that people that have been in
- 43:24Speaker 23: there have reported that.
- 43:26Speaker 19: I don't know.
- 43:27Speaker 23: Like I said, they need to be able to pick
- 43:28Speaker 23: their own.
- 43:30Speaker 6: You know, they had the Shaw on power.
- 43:32Speaker 2: It looked to me like they're out there.
- 43:34Speaker 6: He was strict.
- 43:35Speaker 2: Well, I think that's an assumption on your part.
- 43:37Speaker 23: Like the Aitola.
- 43:38Speaker 2: All right. I got to pause. I mean, I think
- 43:40Speaker 2: those are all assumptions on your part on what you
- 43:43Speaker 2: think they want or don't want. It's a whole different culture.
- 43:46Speaker 2: We'll be right back. When power goes out..
- 43:49Speaker 7: John Arnold Studios.

- 43:57Speaker 26: From ABC News, I'm Wayne Cabot. Taylor Farms now removing
- 44:05Speaker 26: all iceberg lettuce from central Mexico after the FDA said
- 44:09Speaker 26: it's a potential source of the parasite that sickened thousands
- 44:13Speaker 26: across the country. Michigan has it the worst. Another 706
- 44:15Speaker 26: since yesterday. The CDC says it's okay to eat shredded
- 44:20Speaker 26: lettuce sold in bags at grocery stores. Former CDC chief
- 44:24Speaker 26: medical officer Dr. Deborah Howery says government cutbacks are impacting
- 44:28Speaker 26: the response.
- 44:29Speaker 27: You know, when you're down 30 percent of your workforce,
- 44:31Speaker 27: you've got less boots on the ground, especially when we're
- 44:34Speaker 27: in the middle of a measles outbreak, dealing with Ebola
- 44:37Speaker 27: and screening passengers at airports and the recent hantavirus outbreak.
- 44:40Speaker 27: So This just really tips the capacity over.
- 44:44Speaker 26: If you have weekend outdoor plans, air quality improvement is
- 44:48Speaker 26: expected across the Ohio Valley, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic. However, parts of
- 44:52Speaker 26: the Midwest and Great Lakes will continue to see dangerous levels.
- 44:56Speaker 26: A word of warning here from ABC News medical contributor Dr.
- 44:59Speaker 26: Alok Patel.
- 45:01Speaker 28: I want people to understand that if you look at
- 45:02Speaker 28: the AQI, which you should do every single day, it's
- 45:05Speaker 28: really calibrated for a healthy young adult. So you may
- 45:08Speaker 28: not feel the difference immediately if it's 150 or so,
- 45:12Speaker 28: but that can be very dangerous for sensitive individuals. And
- 45:15Speaker 28: as that AQI gets higher, in fact, in New York City,
- 45:17Speaker 28: it was almost 240. almost everyone can feel it.
- 45:21Speaker 26: It's been close to 400 in Milwaukee, but the Brewers
- 45:24Speaker 26: say tonight's game is on against the Marlins. Fans unwilling

- 45:42Speaker 1: States must be aware of the real threats for voter registration.
- 45:46Speaker 26: And California's Secretary of State will review the DHS claims,

- 47:02Speaker 26: Is now escalating the war in Iran, hitting civilian infrastructure, bridges, rail.
- 47:07Speaker 26: Iran responding by hitting U.S. allies in the Gulf. ABC's
- 47:11Speaker 26: Patrick Rievel at the Foreign Desk in London.
- 47:13Speaker 30: President Trump has suggested that they are still trying to
- 47:16Speaker 30: talk with Iran. Some Iranian officials have indicated that the
- 47:19Speaker 30: door to diplomacy does remain open. But the problem is
- 47:23Speaker 30: right now, both sides don't seem willing to compromise. And
- 47:27Speaker 30: they seem to believe that escalating can force the other
- 47:31Speaker 30: side to move towards compromising in negotiations.
- 47:34Speaker 26: One result of this standoff, says ABC's Elizabeth Chelsea.
- 47:37Speaker 31: In total, a new estimate from Moody's Analytics finds that
- 47:41Speaker 31: the typical American household has now spent $ 620 extra in gas,
- 47:46Speaker 31: diesel and jet fuel expenses in the nearly five months
- 47:49Speaker 31: since the start of the Iran war.
- 47:51Speaker 26: Gas is pushing to near $ 4 a gallon again as
- 47:54Speaker 26: global oil keeps getting more expensive today, around $ 88 a barrel.

- 48:15Speaker 2: I'm not even sure that there wasn't body cam footage,
- 48:18Speaker 2: so certainly we want to get to the bottom of that.
- 48:20Speaker 26: In his words, we've seen this movie play out before.
- 48:23Speaker 26: This government and DHS and spokespeople, he says, have zero credibility.
- 48:27Speaker 26: Wayne Cabot, ABC News. A to Z dependable services.
- 48:31Speaker 7: On Verb. On News Radio 570 WKBN. 4.06 in the afternoon.
- 48:35Speaker 7: We're on Verb News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 48:36Speaker 2: It's 83 degrees. It's Friday, July 17th. Nice to be
- 48:38Speaker 2: with you.
- 48:38Speaker 4: 330-729-9977.
- 48:38Speaker 8: 330-729-9977.
- 48:38Speaker 2: And we'll get you through to us on News Radio
- 48:39Speaker 2: 570 WKBN. I mean, it's just, listen, everyone's entitled to
- 48:57Speaker 2: a thought and an opinion. I just think that as
- 49:00Speaker 2: this goes on, it's not getting better. It's getting worse
- 49:03Speaker 2: in Iran. The whole thing is getting worse. And I
- 49:11Speaker 2: don't know that they have, I mean, a mistake from
- 49:16Speaker 2: the very beginning. So you just continue on? and say, well,
- 49:21Speaker 2: you know, the strait was open before he ever engaged
- 49:25Speaker 2: in this at all. None of these problems existed before
- 49:29Speaker 2: Trump went into this action. And now you have... Problems
- 49:36Speaker 2: as far as energy is concerned, oil is concerned. You
- 49:39Speaker 2: have other products. You hear a lot about fertilizer and
- 49:43Speaker 2: how it's not just the cost of it going up
- 49:46Speaker 2: 40 or 50 percent, but it's the availability of it,
- 49:49Speaker 2: which is vital, obviously, to food production. In many parts
- 49:54Speaker 2: of not just this country, but in Africa and many
- 49:57Speaker 2: parts of the world, which can lead to people that
- 50:00Speaker 2: are not anywhere close to Iran having a problem as
- 50:02Speaker 2: far as starvation is concerned. You have other chemical problems
- 50:06Speaker 2: that are hard to get as a result of this mess.
- 50:15Speaker 2: And so I just don't see it getting better. And
- 50:24Speaker 2: what's the answer? Well, we'll bomb them some more. Well,
- 50:27Speaker 2: what do we do this time? Well, we'll bomb the bridges.
- 50:29Speaker 2: We'll bomb the desalinization plants. We'll do all this kind
- 50:32Speaker 2: of stuff. That'll bring them to their knees. Well, I
- 50:35Speaker 2: thought all the other stuff had brought him to their knees,
- 50:37Speaker 2: according to Trump. They want to negotiate a settlement. I
- 50:42Speaker 2: heard that time and time again. And nothing really came
- 50:45Speaker 2: about it. He kept telling me, oh, we brought him
- 50:47Speaker 2: to their knees. They want to settle. They want to settle.
- 50:51Speaker 2: And then this 60-day ceasefire. And so we got him now.
- 50:57Speaker 2: And that didn't seem to pan out. So we'll make some.
- 51:02Speaker 2: I mean, this is a country of 93 million people.
- 51:05Speaker 2: The size of Western Europe. I mean, so you got
- 51:08Speaker 2: to think of how big a people, how many people
- 51:12Speaker 2: and how big this country is. And what I find
- 51:14Speaker 2: interesting just from callers in general is people seem to
- 51:16Speaker 2: think that they should think like us and what should
- 51:19Speaker 2: want what we want. And I'll argue till I'm blue
- 51:21Speaker 2: in the face. It's a whole different culture. It's a
- 51:24Speaker 2: whole different view. This idea that are there some people
- 51:30Speaker 2: who probably want to overthrow the government? Well, sure, just
- 51:35Speaker 2: as there probably are in this country. But when you
- 51:38Speaker 2: see all these people who show up at the Supreme
- 51:40Speaker 2: Leader's funeral the other day or whatever they held, it
- 51:44Speaker 2: didn't seem like there was a shortage of people who
- 51:45Speaker 2: were supporting what the Supreme Leader stood for. Because it's
- 51:51Speaker 2: their culture, it's their religion, it's their philosophies, which are
- 51:55Speaker 2: hugely different than ours. So it's somewhat arrogant for me
- 52:00Speaker 2: to think that they want what I want, or they
- 52:02Speaker 2: should think like I think. They think like they think,
- 52:04Speaker 2: and they think I should be thinking like they do.
- 52:12Speaker 2: But I am convinced in my mind, Trump thought this
- 52:15Speaker 2: thing would be much easier than it is, would be
- 52:18Speaker 2: over much sooner than it is. He might have been
- 52:20Speaker 2: convinced of that from Netanyahu and Israel, that this is
- 52:23Speaker 2: going to be over in no time. We're going to
- 52:25Speaker 2: bring him to their knees. And it didn't happen. And
- 52:29Speaker 2: it hasn't happened. And I just see it going on
- 52:37Speaker 2: and on and on. So these things can escalate. But
- 52:44Speaker 2: one thing is for certain it can escalate is inflation
- 52:47Speaker 2: and the price of everything. Which can have a dramatic
- 52:54Speaker 2: effect on everybody as far as the cost of energy.
- 52:58Speaker 2: as far as the cost of food, necessities in this country.
- 53:13Speaker 2: And then, well, we'll see where it goes as time
- 53:17Speaker 2: goes on. Let's hope it goes better than it is.
- 53:24Speaker 2: But I just don't see... a strategery out. And it's
- 53:33Speaker 2: a whole different culture. It's a whole different mentality to me.
- 53:37Speaker 2: And it's, are you prepared to go on with this
- 53:42Speaker 2: six months from now, eight months from now? You're on
- 53:47Speaker 2: the air.
- 53:48Speaker 6: Hey, what's going on there, Mr.
- 53:50Speaker 21: Ron?
- 53:50Speaker 2: You are your calls and your comments. I'm all ears.
- 53:52Speaker 6: Go ahead. It's Apache junction calling you. And I just
- 53:59Speaker 6: want to say, twice, once this morning, I was heading
- 54:04Speaker 6: out to Boardwood up Market Street, went by that community
- 54:07Speaker 6: park on Market Street at Market in Indianola.
- 54:11Speaker 4: Yes.
- 54:13Speaker 6: Do my business, around lunchtime, finish up at 1, come
- 54:16Speaker 6: right back down Market, just want to take a look.
- 54:19Speaker 6: And what do I see?
- 54:19Speaker 2: Nothing.
- 54:20Speaker 14: Nothing.
- 54:21Speaker 6: Nothing.
- 54:22Speaker 2: Now, this is our ARP dollars that were spent in
- 54:25Speaker 2: Youngstown on this park. And you're saying we spent all
- 54:28Speaker 2: this money, I don't know, hundreds of thousands of dollars
- 54:32Speaker 2: of money. And for what is what you're saying? What
- 54:34Speaker 2: a waste.
- 54:36Speaker 6: Nothing. Number two, after Vietnam, the U.S. should have just realized,
- 54:44Speaker 6: first of all, it didn't have to do Vietnam because
- 54:46Speaker 6: Ho Chi Minh He said he liked the United States,
- 54:49Speaker 6: if you ever wrote his book, read his book. And
- 54:52Speaker 6: he said, look, this is a civil war. It's not
- 54:54Speaker 6: an American war. Let us fight. Ho Chi Minh said,
- 54:57Speaker 6: I want to unify the country. Then he said, I
- 54:59Speaker 6: like the Americans. I fought with them in World War
- 55:01Speaker 6: II against the Japanese. I want them to come in,
- 55:05Speaker 6: turn Vietnam into like the Philippines. But McNamara and all
- 55:08Speaker 6: them guys were nothing but a bunch of war hawks.
- 55:12Speaker 6: So what happened? 250,000 servicemen get killed or whatever, maimed
- 55:16Speaker 6: and all that. And it was just simple, two plus two.
- 55:21Speaker 6: After Vietnam, the U.S. should have just pulled away from
- 55:26Speaker 6: the Middle East, all these just, you know, third world nations,
- 55:34Speaker 6: and just tightened up, you know, the borders, lessened the immigration.
- 55:38Speaker 6: I mean, Ron, it's just asinine. And I mean, Jim Traficant,
- 55:44Speaker 6: had the best ideas to keep the country empty. But
- 55:49Speaker 6: every time you look around, the United States is sticking
- 55:51Speaker 6: their nose in somewhere. When Iran started coming apart, they
- 55:56Speaker 6: should have been pulling the United States citizens out. The
- 56:00Speaker 6: moment the Shah left and the country was going haywire,
- 56:04Speaker 6: you could see the people who were Muslim-ness get the
- 56:07Speaker 6: Americans out right then and there. No, they don't do it.
- 56:10Speaker 6: What happens... what was it, one year, two years almost,
- 56:13Speaker 6: of yellow ribbons being tied over there and sharing.
- 56:16Speaker 11: PA or whatever.
- 56:18Speaker 6: And it's like, we just don't need to be a
- 56:21Speaker 6: part of the world other than our allies. I don't
- 56:25Speaker 6: agree with what Trump did. I think when the Iranians
- 56:30Speaker 6: did what they did in 79 and Reagan was coming in,
- 56:34Speaker 6: they should have did something then. They should have punched
- 56:36Speaker 6: him in the eye then. But you wait 40 years,
- 56:38Speaker 6: it's a little bit too late now. So, They should
- 56:41Speaker 6: have just took their money that they just held on
- 56:45Speaker 6: to and just said, well, you know what? You took
- 56:46Speaker 6: our property, which is considered U.S.
- 56:49Speaker 5: Territory.
- 56:50Speaker 6: Just take all their billions and, you know, let life
- 56:53Speaker 6: go on. Have a trident submarine off their shores and
- 56:57Speaker 6: just let them know you shoot off one nuke. Iran
- 57:01Speaker 6: won't exist anymore. And that's what President Trump did to Korea,
- 57:04Speaker 6: North Korea. He told them, yeah, you shoot off one
- 57:06Speaker 6: nuke this way and you're gone. you don't see North
- 57:10Speaker 6: Korea acting all stupid anymore. You know, I mean, they
- 57:12Speaker 6: might be developing nukes because everybody's going to want to nuke.
- 57:16Speaker 6: I don't know why, but I just feel like, especially
- 57:20Speaker 6: when I see these fuel prices, it wasn't worth it.
- 57:23Speaker 6: It wasn't worth it. I told him, go ahead and
- 57:26Speaker 6: make as many bombs as you want. I hope they
- 57:28Speaker 6: blow up in your freaking faces. I wouldn't have never
- 57:30Speaker 6: been doing business with none of them. And because, you know,
- 57:34Speaker 6: what upsets me is you have, and you've heard this,
- 57:37Speaker 6: you have all these immigrants who, who come to the country,
- 57:41Speaker 6: the United States, and they're getting Social Security, and they
- 57:46Speaker 6: don't even pay into the system.
- 57:48Speaker 2: I don't know how that's possible, though. I hear people
- 57:51Speaker 2: say that, and I would like to see that, because
- 57:54Speaker 2: I don't understand even how that's remotely possible. The only
- 57:57Speaker 2: way you can get Social Security, and I'm not talking
- 58:00Speaker 2: Social Security disability, I'm talking pure Social Security, is it's
- 58:04Speaker 2: solely based on if you work, have enough quarters in,
- 58:07Speaker 2: And what you paid into it. That's the only way,
- 58:11Speaker 2: other than if you were married to somebody who did that,
- 58:15Speaker 2: as far as a spouse is concerned. Outside of that,
- 58:18Speaker 2: I don't know of how anybody's getting Social Security who
- 58:20Speaker 2: hasn't paid into it.
- 58:22Speaker 6: Well, you know, for years we heard how Social Security
- 58:24Speaker 6: is going to be broke and all this and that.
- 58:28Speaker 2: It's in bad financial shape. I mean, I don't deny that.
- 58:31Speaker 2: I mean, both Medicare and Social Security have major financial problems.
- 58:37Speaker 2: But instead of giving billions to all these foreign countries,
- 58:39Speaker 2: I would like to see some billions go into helping
- 58:43Speaker 2: the programs that benefit our senior citizens.
- 58:46Speaker 6: I totally agree with that. Like I said, conference gate
- 58:50Speaker 6: Iran's money. Give it to us, the American people, for
- 58:54Speaker 6: all these morons that have stolen from the government.
- 58:57Speaker 4: Give to us.
- 58:59Speaker 6: And like I said, tighten up all the laws and regulations.
- 59:02Speaker 6: I support 100% what ICE is doing.
- 59:05Speaker 2: Let me give you a headline from CNBC. Economic outlook
- 59:09Speaker 2: is worsened. and Trump is getting blamed, CNBC survey finds.
- 59:13Speaker 2: There's a shocker. It doesn't surprise me at all. The
- 59:16Speaker 2: economic outlook is worsening and Trump is being blamed. Well,
- 59:19Speaker 2: of course he is, because it's worsening because of the
- 59:22Speaker 2: situation in Iran. And he brought on that situation.
- 59:26Speaker 6: Right, I don't think he should have done it.
- 59:27Speaker 2: Right, I don't think he should have either. And the
- 59:30Speaker 2: answer is, well, we're going to stay the course. Okay,
- 59:32Speaker 2: so what's the answer if this next round of bombing
- 59:36Speaker 2: doesn't bring him to their knees? Then what are you
- 59:39Speaker 2: going to do? Then what's after that?
- 59:41Speaker 6: I can't even afford to take my RV across country
- 59:44Speaker 6: like I used to. I thought paying $ 2 a gallon
- 59:46Speaker 6: was bad. Now it's $ 3 or $ 4. I had a
- 59:49Speaker 6: heart attack when I got to California at $ 5 and
- 59:52Speaker 6: whatever back in November.
- 59:54Speaker 14: Now..
- 59:55Speaker 6: I'm fortunate if I can go to Florida this winter
- 59:58Speaker 6: and be down there with, what's his name?
- 59:59Speaker 7: Frank.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Fort Lauderdale, Frank and you in Florida together chasing women.
- 1:00:04Speaker 6: You know what? You need to give me that lady's
- 1:00:07Speaker 6: phone number so I can give it to him and
- 1:00:08Speaker 6: make her talk his ears off. Because I'll tell you.
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: What, man.
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: I don't know what's up with that guy. But anyways,
- 1:00:15Speaker 6: about Sugar Creek guy, or is it Rock Creek?
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it's Rock Creek.
- 1:00:19Speaker 6: You know where he's been at? He's been calling some
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: radio station over in Akron. I hear him when he
- 1:00:24Speaker 6: calls over there. They've had to hang up on him
- 1:00:26Speaker 6: a couple times because he got too long-winded. And then
- 1:00:28Speaker 6: he calls the car guys up on Saturday. And you
- 1:00:32Speaker 6: can just hear the air get sucked out of the
- 1:00:35Speaker 6: room when he calls up. He's a nice guy. But,
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: you know, I don't know. But like I said before... No,
- 1:00:42Speaker 6: I don't think he should have done what he did
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: with bombing them. You know, just left them alone and
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: just tightened up all our regulations here. Because everything was
- 1:00:49Speaker 6: going great before the bombing, really. Fuel was coming down.
- 1:00:53Speaker 6: I was hitting it for more than 99. And, yeah, really,
- 1:00:56Speaker 6: it seemed like things were just going back to normal.
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:00:59Speaker 6: Really good and great.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: But it screwed it up. Yep, you got it. You
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: got it.
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: All right, brother.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: All right, thanks.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: Appreciate it. You're on the air.
- 1:01:07Speaker 11: Well, to make a positive thing... The Guardians start tonight,
- 1:01:12Speaker 11: and I have a prediction, I think, July.
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: Well, we've got August and September.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: I think they'll win that division and get to the playoffs.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: As I said to you before, a lot of times
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: they did really well the first half of the year,
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: then they tanked the second half of the year. I
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: hope you're right. I hope you're right.
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: Yep, yep, and I'm still waiting about LeBron. I wonder
- 1:01:35Speaker 6: if he's going to come here. I mean to Cleveland,
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: you know?
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: Of course, you thought the Browns were going to have
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: a good year, too. I remember that prediction. Well, maybe
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: I should just disregard these predictions because you've been wrong
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: more than you've been right lately, and it's very deeply
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: disturbing to me. Well, you know, I've got to go
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: on a roll again, right? You've lost your mojo. It's vanished.
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: Well, well.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: Go get it back. Go get it.
- 1:01:58Speaker 6: I'm going to get it back, I promise.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Thank you. Dick from Dayton, you're on the air.
- 1:02:03Speaker 7: Hello, Ron.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: Yes, sir.
- 1:02:06Speaker 14: I think this is a repeat of 1945 all over again.
- 1:02:11Speaker 14: And I'll elaborate on that. There's basically three things that
- 1:02:16Speaker 14: we can do. Number one, load up the B-52 bombers
- 1:02:21Speaker 14: from that bigger base in Italy and carpet bomb Tehran. Two,
- 1:02:28Speaker 14: that's not going to happen. Number two, sending boots on
- 1:02:33Speaker 14: the ground, which is not going to happen. Or number three,
- 1:02:36Speaker 14: just leave, and that's not going to happen. You know,
- 1:02:39Speaker 14: it's like the old saying, history repeats itself. And in
- 1:02:43Speaker 14: a way, it's the same thing, but on a smaller scale.
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: Your thoughts, Ron?
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: I think that you gave a pretty good analysis. I mean,
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: I think you've given really good analysis. I don't know
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: what to add to that. I think those are probably
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: your three options.
- 1:03:03Speaker 21: That's about it.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: Thank you. I think that those are your three options
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: right there. I mean, if you ask me, is it
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: worse since he did this? Yes. The straight, we didn't
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: have these problems until he engaged in this. Do I
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: think it was necessary? No, I do not. Do I
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: think it's an ongoing mistake? Yes, I do. Do I
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: think they have a strategy or a plan? No, I don't.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: So do I think that these things can escalate even bigger? Yes,
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: I do. Do I think it can really devastate the economy,
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: which is very fragile right now? I absolutely do. I
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: absolutely do. Back with more in a minute.
- 1:03:51Speaker 13: 330-729-9977.
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: Don't touch that dial.
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: We'll be back.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: When you're hiring..
- 1:04:03Speaker 32: Have you ever felt like you're missing out on meeting

- 1:05:01Speaker 7: 70 WKBN.
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: Heidi Hill, Ron Verb, News Radio 570 WKBN. And so
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: I think that's an interesting headline. Economic outlook is worsening
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: and Trump is getting blamed. That doesn't surprise me at all.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: S & P 500 falls 1%, heads for losing week,
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: led by chip makers' Netflix plunges. Oil tankers face worst-case
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: scenario in Hormuz as Iran steps up attacks, maritime risk
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: CEO says. So you got oil tankers afraid to make
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: a move? Let's see, what other headlines? Oh, we shall see.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: I mean, market down big time today again. Bad day
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: for your 401k or your retirements. Dow down 400, S &
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: P down 76, NASDAQ down 361. Big down day. Another
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: big down day. And there you go. You're on here.
- 1:06:01Speaker 12: Is this run heard?
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: Yes, it is. Is this JJ the Trumpster? You've had
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: your mental health... I know you were going in for therapy,
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: and some people thought I should refer to you now
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: as J.J. the Trumpster.
- 1:06:16Speaker 12: Well, I think that my wife told me that I
- 1:06:20Speaker 12: used to call you a long time ago. I don't
- 1:06:24Speaker 12: remember anything, but I remember very vague things. But I
- 1:06:28Speaker 12: don't know. I think you're being very unfair to Trump
- 1:06:30Speaker 12: right now.
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: And I, you know.
- 1:06:33Speaker 12: Why am I peeing myself? What the hell?
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: The therapy must have worked, folks. J.J. was receiving therapy
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: for his liberal views to make him into a Trumpster supporter.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: And listen, so you're asking me why am I being
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: so tough on Trump today? Oh, my God.
- 1:06:50Speaker 12: Yeah, I think you're being quite unfair to him. This
- 1:06:55Speaker 12: seems very abnormal for me to say this. I don't
- 1:06:57Speaker 12: know why. Part of me says that I shouldn't be...
- 1:07:02Speaker 12: supporting him. I don't know why, but the other day,
- 1:07:09Speaker 12: I don't know what is going on. I don't remember
- 1:07:11Speaker 12: the last four days, so.
- 1:07:12Speaker 21: I don't know what's going on.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: You were obviously in therapy.
- 1:07:16Speaker 12: Nobody told me about it.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: Obviously, you were getting evaluated in some medical attention for
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: your liberalism as a mental disease, as Dr. Savage used
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: to say. And I know you obviously got treatment for it.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: So now you are an all new person. Do you
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: feel good about yourself?
- 1:07:36Speaker 6: No, I don't.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: No, really?
- 1:07:40Speaker 12: Bill, this is very abnormal for me to say this.
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but you sound much happier. J.J. the Trumpster seems
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: like a happier person than J.J.
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: The liberal.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: You sound peppy. You're laughing. You sound like you're enjoying
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: life all of a sudden. You're not as angry.
- 1:07:57Speaker 12: I'm laughing, but it doesn't feel right.
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:08:00Speaker 12: How are you doing today, buddy?
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: I'm doing okay. Thank you.
- 1:08:04Speaker 12: I know you've been..
- 1:08:06Speaker 21: You know, I don't envy.
- 1:08:09Speaker 8: You at all.
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: Nor do I envy me at all either.
- 1:08:15Speaker 12: You're just, you know, as I said, you're struggling between,
- 1:08:19Speaker 12: you know, and you always said that you continue to
- 1:08:23Speaker 12: support him because that's, and again, I..
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: Well, I don't blindly, though. Hey, JJ, I don't blindly
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: support anybody. I mean, when people are saying, well, let's
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: finish it up, finish your job. Well, what does that mean?
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: Does it mean we murder most of the population of Iran?
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Is that what finish your job means? Does... Do we
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: not think if we do something like that, that they
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: won't fight back with everything they got against us and
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: against anybody who's aligned with us? Do we not think
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: that that..
- 1:08:53Speaker 12: You back him into a corner that's just like an animal.
- 1:08:56Speaker 12: You back him into a corner and it's going to
- 1:08:59Speaker 12: lash out. I agree. There's part of me that I
- 1:09:06Speaker 12: was very supportive of him when he first came in,
- 1:09:09Speaker 12: even though I didn't vote for him.
- 1:09:11Speaker 21: He was getting things.
- 1:09:12Speaker 12: Taken care of.
- 1:09:13Speaker 7: He was..
- 1:09:14Speaker 12: Closing the borders which you know i told you many
- 1:09:16Speaker 12: times and uh that i didn't want people in here
- 1:09:19Speaker 12: that shouldn't be in here that would be that'd be
- 1:09:21Speaker 12: foolish to me i didn't want them in here and
- 1:09:23Speaker 12: hurting our you know.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: You weren't a cheerleader for the far left because you
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: were good you didn't like the.
- 1:09:29Speaker 10: Open border left is quite crazy i remember there was
- 1:09:32Speaker 10: a there was a story i don't think i ever
- 1:09:33Speaker 10: told you briefly there was a during i think the um, um, the,
- 1:09:38Speaker 10: you know, the no Kings rallies. Um, and it was
- 1:09:41Speaker 10: a woman that was, uh, she was there and she was, um,
- 1:09:44Speaker 10: you know, supporting the rallies and whatnot.
- 1:09:46Speaker 21: And she was taking a break to go.
- 1:09:48Speaker 12: Have some lunch. And she was sitting at a, uh,
- 1:09:50Speaker 12: like a little cafe outside and she was sitting there
- 1:09:53Speaker 12: by herself eating. And it was a bunch of young
- 1:09:55Speaker 12: people going by and they're all high strung and they're,
- 1:09:57Speaker 12: you know, Trump this Trump that, and, and they were
- 1:09:59Speaker 12: looking at her and they were kind of, um, being,
- 1:10:02Speaker 12: you know, that they were asking her to kind of get, um, All.
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: Right, stand by, stand by, stand by. Back with Gigi
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: in a minute.
- 1:10:12Speaker 18: Let's start here.
- 1:10:13Speaker 7: So good morning and welcome.
- 1:10:14Speaker 13: We are now underway.
- 1:10:16Speaker 19: We're following the events of the day. What we're just
- 1:10:18Speaker 19: now hearing about.
- 1:10:19Speaker 13: This is new information.
- 1:10:21Speaker 7: Throughout the day.
- 1:10:22Speaker 11: Good day.
- 1:10:22Speaker 13: This is where it stands now.
- 1:10:24Speaker 7: Pick up the conversation.
- 1:10:25Speaker 18: We'll talk about what's happening anytime.
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: The deal we reached with Iran.
- 1:10:29Speaker 13: The devil's in the details. Bringing the price of gasoline down.
- 1:10:32Speaker 7: Maintain the Fed funds rate.
- 1:10:33Speaker 18: Tying Pfizer to the save app.
- 1:10:35Speaker 20: NATO has been a paper tiger.
- 1:10:37Speaker 7: For the very latest.
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: We'll see how that all plays out. Radio 570.
- 1:10:41Speaker 18: Double WKVS.
- 1:10:46Speaker 33: The CDC is advising that nobody eat shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1:10:49Speaker 33: from Taco Bell locations in Ohio. CDC says more than
- 1:10:53Speaker 33: 1,600 people who have become sick with cyclosporiasis ate lettuce
- 1:10:58Speaker 33: from Taco Bell locations in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and
- 1:11:02Speaker 33: West Virginia before they got sick. CDC says it's continuing
- 1:11:06Speaker 33: to investigate other outbreaks and illnesses of cyclosporiasis nationally that
- 1:11:12Speaker 33: are not related to the outbreak stemming from Taco Bell.
- 1:11:16Speaker 33: Air quality advisory continues for the entire state of Ohio
- 1:11:19Speaker 33: because of the smoke from Canadian wildfires. Pollution levels could
- 1:11:24Speaker 33: range from unhealthy to hazardous, with several Ohio communities reporting
- 1:11:28Speaker 33: extremely high readings earlier today.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: I'm Matt Reese.
- 1:11:33Speaker 16: Listen on the free iHeartRadio app for all your music, news, talk,
- 1:11:37Speaker 16: and sports radio.
- 1:11:38Speaker 7: Podcasts, too.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: Download the app.
- 1:11:41Speaker 7: Free never sounded so good. A to Z. Now, Ron
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: Verb on NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: All right, back.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: To it. So it's a mess, JJ. It really is
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: a mess. And I'm telling you, I just think that
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: economically speaking, I'm not optimistic. I'm not optimistic at all.
- 1:12:03Speaker 6: Never mind.
- 1:12:04Speaker 12: Even if there was a Democrat that's in power right now,
- 1:12:08Speaker 12: I'm not enthusiastic about that either. And just a quick
- 1:12:13Speaker 12: story that there was a woman that was at the
- 1:12:15Speaker 12: New Queens rally. She was sitting down by herself eating.
- 1:12:18Speaker 12: A bunch of people were going by, and they were
- 1:12:20Speaker 12: all animated and everything about getting rid of Trump. And
- 1:12:23Speaker 12: they were kind of going and trying to get her out.
- 1:12:26Speaker 12: And I made it also, and she was trying to
- 1:12:28Speaker 12: wave them off like I'm just eating my lunch, you know.
- 1:12:30Speaker 12: And they went over and they started to attack her,
- 1:12:32Speaker 12: not physically, but, you know, calling her names and everything
- 1:12:35Speaker 12: that you're not doing. And it was like the woman
- 1:12:37Speaker 12: was just trying to eat her lunch, even though she was.
- 1:12:40Speaker 10: Supporting the whole thing about against Trump.
- 1:12:43Speaker 12: But even the left can be is crazy. And in
- 1:12:46Speaker 12: addition to the show, the.
- 1:12:48Speaker 21: An example of how both.
- 1:12:50Speaker 12: Sides on extremes are, we don't need it. You know,
- 1:12:54Speaker 12: we don't need the extremes on the right or the left.
- 1:12:56Speaker 12: And that just reminds me of who you are, that
- 1:13:00Speaker 12: you're trying to find that balance between it all. And again,
- 1:13:04Speaker 12: I have to give you some kudos there and some, Captain,
- 1:13:07Speaker 12: that you're trying to to keep everybody grounded and yet
- 1:13:10Speaker 12: support your candidate, and that's difficult to do. And I
- 1:13:14Speaker 12: have to admire you. You and I don't agree on
- 1:13:16Speaker 12: a lot of things, but we do agree on this,
- 1:13:18Speaker 12: that neither one of us are cheerleaders for this kind
- 1:13:23Speaker 12: of stuff. And, you know, you have to– even the
- 1:13:26Speaker 12: people that I'm closest to, Ron, I don't agree with.
- 1:13:29Speaker 12: And I think that for us to not do that–
- 1:13:32Speaker 12: You're either there's something wrong with you or you're trying
- 1:13:36Speaker 12: to get something from somebody. You know, so I again,
- 1:13:40Speaker 12: it's I just wanted to chime in and let you
- 1:13:42Speaker 12: know that. And, you know, that's why I feel very
- 1:13:46Speaker 12: fondly of you is that even though we disagree, you
- 1:13:50Speaker 12: I have to give you credit for things that you
- 1:13:52Speaker 12: stand for your your opinions. And that's a good thing.
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: And I do you as well. You have a wonderful weekend.
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: You hear me, my friends. All right. It's JJ Newsradio
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: 570 WKBN. I'll take more calls momentarily. I was just
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: reading a story from CNBC. When a man in a
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: black Air Jordan t-shirt walked up to a self-checkout kiosk
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: at a Louisiana Lowe's last spring, he looked like any
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: other customer. Over the course of about seven minutes, he
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: methodically rang up different gift cards for $ 95 each, using
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: his phone to tap to pay for each card as
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: a red-vested associate circled nearby, surveillance video showed. Unknown to
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: the employee, the man was part of a sprawling Chinese
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: crime ring using stolen credit cards to buy gift cards
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: while a Southeast Asian scam compound coached him through each
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: transaction through the wireless headphones in his ears, police say.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: We know that there are hundreds of individuals at any
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: one time doing this across the country, said Adam Parkes,
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: an assistant special agent in charge with U.S. Homeland Security Investigations,
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: who investigated the case. Even though you think that's $ 95
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: every transaction, that adds up to a lot of money.
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: After the man left the hardware store, he purchased more
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: gift cards with stolen credit card information at another retailer,
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: only to return to the original Lowe's the same day
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: to repeat the act. He was not arrested and is
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: still a suspect. Lowe's didn't respond to repeated requests for
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: comments for CNBC. While credit card theft and fraud isn't new,
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: with the proliferation of tap-to-pay and growing use of retail apps,
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: these digital thefts are shaping the next wave of organized
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: retail crime and earning Chinese gangs as much as $ 1
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: billion annually. Unlike typical retail theft operations where criminals clear
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: out shelves in big box stores and resell merchandise piece
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: by piece on online marketplaces, the crimes can be carried
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: out right under the store employee's nose or from a
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: computer anywhere in the world. It's a very low risk
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: for the bad actors, said Scott Glenn, vice president of
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: asset protection at the Home Depot. It's not the same
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: thing as walking into Home Depot, filling up a cart
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: full of power tools and then walking out. It's just
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: not as visible. It's not as obvious to what's happening
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: out there, so it's become a more preferred method over
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: the last several years. Fraudsters have selected retailers as their
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: targets because their platforms carry sensitive information such as store
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: credit cards and personal data, but they do not have
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: the same level of security as banks, according to industry experts.
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: There's no firm data on how much retailers are losing
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: from digital forms of retail crime. but CNBC found about
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: a dozen criminal cases across the country affecting a wide
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: variety of retailers that police said involve a combination of
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: organized groups and low-level fraudsters. The cases are complex and
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: often hard for local authorities to handle, said the Knox
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: County Sheriff's Office in Tennessee, who said he's been investigating
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: a fraud ring with ties to Chinese organized crime. Unless
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: the theft hits a certain dollar threshold or rises to
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: the level of a federal crime, It's kind of like
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: they get away with it. Tap-to-pay fraud, which involves a
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: fraudster adding a stolen credit card to their digital wallet
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: and using it to buy gift cards or merchandise, often
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: starts with a familiar text message and can end with
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: an unwitting customer identifying up for sale on platforms such
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: as Telegram. Well, let me read that again. Often starts
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: with a familiar text message and can end up with
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: an unwitting customer's identity up for sale on platforms such
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: as Telegram. Fraudsters send out mass text messages warning about
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: unpaid tolls. I've gotten those. Expiring car registration or pending
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: arrests that are designed to scare customers and consumers into
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: providing their credit card information, email credentials, or other sensitive data.
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: AI has only made the schemes easier as crime groups
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: can scale the scams more quickly and make the messages
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: appear more legitimate. I don't go along with any of them.
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: Once a fraudster has a person's email, password, and credit card,
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: they can load that card into a device that they control,
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: said Jeff Otto, the chief marketing officer of Riskified, a
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: tech company that works with retailers, including Foot Locker, Peloton,
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: and BJ's Wholesale Club to fight fraud. When the bank
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: reaches out to say, hey, is that you loading a card?
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: They've already got access to the victim's email and can
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: often click it for a one-time passcode before consumers notice.
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: Low-level opportunists engaged in tap-to-play schemes can operate independently using
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: the practice to either buy merchandise or purchase gift cards
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: and resell them at a discount for cash. But on
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: Chinese organized crime level, the practice involves an entire criminal network,
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: Park said. In order to get profits back to China,
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: crime groups use tap-to-pay fraud to buy gift cards, and
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: then they use those gift cards in purchase of high-value
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: goods that can be resold at a premium in China.
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: such as iPhones and American settings, with American settings, Park said.
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: The practice allows gangs to skirt strict bank laws, both
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: in the U.S. and China, and convert higher amounts of
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: cash in a legitimate economy. At the heart of the
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: strategy are foot soldiers, such as a customer at Lowe's,
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: who police say helped carry out the fraud, which in
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: the years since the COVID-19 pandemic has ramped up, along
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: with a surge of Chinese nationals. at U.S. land crossings.
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: People looking to enter the country illegally often rely on
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: smugglers and organized crime networks, and then they owe a
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: debt to the crime groups, and they need to repay
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: the debt once they're in the U.S. So they're going
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: to instruct you on how to go into a store,
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: convert the stolen credit card information into acquiring goods, and
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: then now you're going to ship those goods back to China.
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: That's where a lot of times we get our arrest requests,
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: But it's the lowest level in this organization. Tap-to-pay schemes
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: can also include retail app fraud, which involves stealing someone's credentials,
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: logging into their account, and using store credit card information
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: to purchase merchandise or gift cards. So beware of all
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: of this kind of stuff, man. So if you get
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: a text message that you got unpaid tolls on that,
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: don't fall for it. CNBC saw that login credentials for
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: Walmart's app and website were being sold on various Telegram
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: channels for between $ 1. 50 and $ 2. 50 with information about how
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: long the account had been active. They have Yahoo addresses
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: that are 10 years old, Gmails that are 10 years old.
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: These are older accounts that often get passed someone of
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: more age. fraud checks because we tend to trust accounts
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: that have been with us for a long time. So
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: there you go. I mean, it's a lot. It goes on, man.
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: So don't be a victim of fraud. I'm trying news
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: you can use trying to prevent you from being a
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: victim of fraud. You're on the air.
- 1:21:53Speaker 22: Delete and report spam. If you don't know what it is,
- 1:21:56Speaker 22: just delete and report spam on your phone immediately. Don't
- 1:21:59Speaker 22: even open.
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: Exactly, Professor. I can call you Professor now, realistically and technically.
- 1:22:06Speaker 22: Yes, it's official. It's actually official.
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: Excellent.
- 1:22:10Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:22:11Speaker 22: And, like, don't open any emails. If you don't know
- 1:22:17Speaker 22: what it is, just delete it. No attachments. You're not
- 1:22:21Speaker 22: going to. If they can't figure out how to get
- 1:22:24Speaker 22: a hold of you in person or something, it's not important.
- 1:22:28Speaker 22: in today's world.
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: I totally agree. I get it all the time. I mean,
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: I absolutely get it all the time. It's like some
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: of these people buy... The post office doesn't sell stamps
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: at a discount. And you'll see people, oh, I bought
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: a roll of stamps for like 50 bucks instead of
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: 100 bucks. Well, it's not legitimate. It's just not the
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: real deal. I mean, there's so many scams out there
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: that people are running. And people fall for it all
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: the time. And they're getting better, they say, with AI.
- 1:23:02Speaker 6: Oh, boy.
- 1:23:03Speaker 22: You can make a lot of things look official.
- 1:23:06Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:23:06Speaker 22: It's really scary. That's going to be a whole new
- 1:23:11Speaker 22: line of work, which is using AI to fight AI.
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: Well, what they said is the problem with AI is
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: it's going to teach you not to believe what you
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: see because you don't know if what you're seeing is
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: fact or fiction.
- 1:23:26Speaker 22: Yeah, you know, I'm doing experiments with it. I don't
- 1:23:29Speaker 22: have to say Claude. I don't know about all of them,
- 1:23:32Speaker 22: but Claude is kind of ethical. Like, it won't jump
- 1:23:35Speaker 22: into things that you might think, you know, risque. You
- 1:23:39Speaker 22: probably wouldn't get much luck out of it at all,
- 1:23:41Speaker 22: you know. But it was Sarah.
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: It's all right.
- 1:23:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: You can hurt my feelings.
- 1:23:51Speaker 22: I was going to go to like Pornhub or something,
- 1:23:53Speaker 22: you know, the classic.
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: You got to go to the ones that everybody knows.
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: It has more punch to it if you do that.
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:24:01Speaker 22: I'll stick with that. But yeah, you know, it's, it is, it's,
- 1:24:07Speaker 22: it's scary. It's scary. It's starting, things are starting to happen.
- 1:24:12Speaker 22: I've always said, like I say, I stuff is like
- 1:24:14Speaker 22: a big retooling. Like I've had to do every three
- 1:24:17Speaker 22: or four years, but it's, Maybe the same retooling times five.
- 1:24:22Speaker 4: As I do it, I'm.
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: I'll tell you one thing. Let me jump around on you.
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: I'll tell you. I've been listening to some people with
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: their dissertations on these AI centers. And some of them
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: are really eye-opening when you hear about all these AI centers.
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: And it's like, are we supposed to... Basically, when you're
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: hearing people that are... expressing huge concerns over the amount
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: of water that they use. And even if it's a
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: closed system, at some point you have to rinse that
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: system out. And so what happens to that water and
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: the chemicals that are used in it? How do you
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: dispose of it? The water demands and the power demands
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: are so huge, as we all know for AI, that
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: you are seeing Electric rates skyrocket and water rates skyrocket
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: in large areas of this country, including areas where the
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: water comes from aquifers and AI uses so much water
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: that it's really has depleted some people's wells. So they
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: got to drill deeper. I mean, at some point, I think.
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: Maybe some of these people are right that there needs
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: to be a moratorium and a pause on these AI
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: centers because of what they are doing to our energy
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: consumption and the prices that we all have to pay.
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: Electricity is getting very expensive. You know a map I
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: just made, Ron? What's that?
- 1:25:48Speaker 22: I just sent it to you. I did a data
- 1:25:51Speaker 22: center directory for Ohio. So all of the different data
- 1:25:56Speaker 22: centers in Ohio are on a map with pins and...
- 1:26:00Speaker 22: even the one that's being proposed now in Niles. And
- 1:26:04Speaker 22: it came out quite interesting. There's actually 125 facilities in
- 1:26:07Speaker 22: the state of Ohio right now that are either working
- 1:26:14Speaker 22: or in proposal. And not all of them are these
- 1:26:16Speaker 22: hyperscale ones. That's what I'm kind of studying, too, the
- 1:26:20Speaker 22: different types. There's smaller ones that are for universities and
- 1:26:25Speaker 22: stuff they call those co-locations. And the hyperscale are the
- 1:26:29Speaker 22: big ones that use all kinds of resources.
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: I think I talked to you about it before. Where
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: in the country was it where this data center was
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: going to basically use all the electricity? And the electric
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: provider said, well, if you were a home, you're on
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: your own. You've got to go to someone else. We're
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: not going to be able to provide you with electricity
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: because we're selling it all to this data center. I mean,
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: some of the.
- 1:26:50Speaker 7: Concerns are ….
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: I can't recall where it was. Some of the concerns
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: that people are expressing as far as water consumption and
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: power consumption are legitimate concerns to have, are absolutely legitimate
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: concerns for a community to have. Even like with my
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: electric bill, my last electric bill with air conditioning was
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: like $ 261 at Verb Manor. That's the highest electric bill
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: I've ever had. It used to be like maybe $ 150.
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: So it's gone up substantially. because the cost of electricity
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: has doubled in our neck of the woods here. Well,
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: it'll probably go up more as the demand continues to increase. And,
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: of course, these idiots with Obama and Kerry ripped down
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: those coal-fired plants and helped to create more of a shortage.
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: Don't you think, Michael, from a consumer standpoint, we are
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: really screwed now. We have high electric rates, which have
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: doubled and will go up more. We have property taxes,
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: which continue to soar. We have gasoline costs, which are
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: going up. We have the uncertainty of this whole Iran situation,
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: which affects fertilizer and food prices and so much more.
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: I can't look around economically and see anything good going
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: on right now or for the foreseeable future. Can you?
- 1:28:14Speaker 22: I think it's actually signs that it's bad for humanity
- 1:28:17Speaker 22: right now. When you think about, in general... They're coming
- 1:28:21Speaker 22: up with an alternative for much labor, right?
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: Stand by for me.
- 1:28:24Speaker 4: Stand by.
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: I'll pick your brain. Let him continue his thought. Let
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: me do my break in a minute. News Radio 570 WQEN.
- 1:28:34Speaker 34: Listen, America is now celebrating its 250th anniversary, that milestone
- 1:28:38Speaker 34: time to reflect on our enduring relationship. U.S., Israel, greatest
- 1:28:43Speaker 34: ally standing for liberty and freedom. President Kennedy once said
- 1:28:47Speaker 34: Israel was not created in order to disappear.
- 1:28:50Speaker 7: Israel will endure. It will flourish.
- 1:28:52Speaker 34: And those words absolutely capture the spirit of a young
- 1:28:56Speaker 34: democracy determined to survive. While we're far apart, our values
- 1:29:01Speaker 34: are the same, Judeo-Christian values. And as we celebrate our
- 1:29:05Speaker 34: 250th year of independence, as Israel fights for its survival,
- 1:29:09Speaker 34: they've had the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews on
- 1:29:12Speaker 34: the ground. They have been providing all the humanitarian assistance,
- 1:29:16Speaker 34: and they're providing food and water and shelter. Whatever you
- 1:29:20Speaker 34: can do to help them, they set up a website.
- 1:29:22Speaker 34: It is very simple. It's flagpinifcj.org. Flagpinifcj.org. Today, any help
- 1:29:30Speaker 34: you can give them is greatly appreciated. Flagpinifcj.org.
- 1:29:34Speaker 31: Transform your bathroom with a new..
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: Weather and Talk Station 570 WKBN.
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: All right, 455 News Radio 570 WKBN. You were saying
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: AI bothers you from a... What, humanitarian standpoints?
- 1:29:50Speaker 33: Humanity.
- 1:29:51Speaker 22: You know, like, we basically were a society, and through history,
- 1:29:55Speaker 22: you know, the people work for the man, right? The
- 1:29:57Speaker 22: people that got the money they're making that are doing things.
- 1:30:00Speaker 22: And there were all the way down to slaves and
- 1:30:03Speaker 22: serfs all over the world before when people weren't valued, right?
- 1:30:07Speaker 22: So that's like the worst side of what can happen.
- 1:30:10Speaker 22: And what you're seeing here is, literally, it sounds like
- 1:30:15Speaker 22: a replacement because... You know, humans don't want to keep
- 1:30:18Speaker 22: having babies and stuff. It's like, you know, they still
- 1:30:22Speaker 22: want to run the shops. Well, I don't think it's
- 1:30:26Speaker 22: going to be good for humans.
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: I go back to say this, though, when you say
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: that kind of stuff, it's really irritating. My son, Clayton Buckworth, said, well,
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: his generation are not having enough children or more children.
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: And my son said it. I would counter it to you.
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: It's because everything is so damn expensive, including having children.
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: And I think there's a legitimate point he's making there.
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: The arrogance of people really saying productive people who actually
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: pay for daycare, who foot the bill, the unproductive, they
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: can have plenty of children because they're on the dole.
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: But the productive people are saying we can't afford more
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: than one child or two at the most.
- 1:31:06Speaker 14: Exactly.
- 1:31:07Speaker 22: They no longer let the unproductive people's kids work in
- 1:31:11Speaker 22: the fields. They give them more stuff, too, now. You know,
- 1:31:14Speaker 22: they spoil them, too. I mean, I'm not, you know,
- 1:31:17Speaker 22: I understand, but I'm just saying, the rich people look
- 1:31:21Speaker 22: at the world differently. They look at it as a
- 1:31:23Speaker 22: bunch of resources. They have no emotions when it comes
- 1:31:27Speaker 22: to that. And that's all I'm saying is I see
- 1:31:30Speaker 22: them gearing up. Just say, oh, electricity is going to
- 1:31:34Speaker 22: cost you so much, maybe you just won't need as
- 1:31:37Speaker 22: much electricity in the future.
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: Okay, I would count you with that. Believe me when
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: I tell you, remember John Kerry said that we should
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: live more like they do in Europe. In other words,
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: we shouldn't be using air conditioning. He's one of the
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: Green New Deal people, right? Clinton... and Obama and Kerry,
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: of course, they would all have air conditioning. Make no mistake,
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: they would still use air conditioning. They're just saying, you
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: shouldn't have air conditioning. You should live like they do
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: in Europe. Now you see with the soccer event, when
- 1:32:08Speaker 2: they come over here, they're saying, this is wonderful. Air
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: conditioning is great. It's just hot as hell in France,
- 1:32:14Speaker 2: and the humidity is terrible, and you have more deaths
- 1:32:17Speaker 2: as a result of it. And Kerry thinks we should
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: live like they do. Instead, they should live like us.
- 1:32:24Speaker 22: Well, he's the man, he's rich, and he don't care.
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: Right, but they're going to get their way if they
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: continue to increase the cost of electricity, where people are
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: going to be so damn afraid to turn it on
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: because it's so expensive they can't afford to turn it on.
- 1:32:38Speaker 22: Unless these kids get busy and defy economics, it's already
- 1:32:46Speaker 22: too late.
- 1:32:47Speaker 2: What do you mean by that, then? What does that mean,
- 1:32:50Speaker 2: if these kids get busy and defy economics?
- 1:32:52Speaker 13: What..
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: What's that mean?
- 1:32:54Speaker 22: Okay, economics is just what you said. I can't afford
- 1:32:58Speaker 22: to have kids. So I'm not going to do it. Okay,
- 1:33:02Speaker 22: you're not going to have kids.
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: Stand by. Stand by. Let me do my break, and
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: I'm going to come back to that. I don't want
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: to get an explanation on that. Ron Verber, we're here
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: tonight until 6, NewsRadio 570, WKBN. I send you in

- 1:33:39Speaker 26: brings another round of American strikes on Iran, putting pressure

- 1:33:50Speaker 26: In an address last night to The Nation, President Trump
- 1:33:52Speaker 26: insisted that the war is going well. ABC's Louis Martinez
- 1:33:56Speaker 26: says there's no end in sight.
- 1:33:57Speaker 35: There's no indication that the pace is going to slow down,
- 1:33:59Speaker 35: and we're now seven days in a row with multiple
- 1:34:01Speaker 35: waves sometimes striking facilities around the Strait of Hormuz, and
- 1:34:06Speaker 35: now even further inland into... into that area then in
- 1:34:11Speaker 35: southern Iran. But what we're seeing is the striking of
- 1:34:15Speaker 35: dual-use targets.
- 1:34:16Speaker 7: What does that mean?
- 1:34:16Speaker 35: That means like civilian structures that could also be used militarily.
- 1:34:23Speaker 26: The U.S. expanding, hitting more bridges and energy sites in Iran,
- 1:34:27Speaker 26: which is firing back with missiles into the mediator nation, Qatar,
- 1:34:31Speaker 26: and also into Kuwait, damaging drinking water plants in that

- 1:34:54Speaker 20: We need to.
- 1:34:55Speaker 27: Continue to wash vegetables very thoroughly, particularly lettuce at this time.
- 1:35:00Speaker 26: President Trump saying in a social media post that the U.S.
- 1:35:03Speaker 26: will hold Canada responsible for the wildfires. This response from
- 1:35:07Speaker 26: Doug Ford, the premier of Ontario.
- 1:35:09Speaker 24: They don't understand that Ontario is twice the size of Texas.
- 1:35:13Speaker 24: And unfortunately, these fires that have happened in the U.S.
- 1:35:17Speaker 24: every single year, we're there to support our great U.S.
- 1:35:21Speaker 2: Neighbors.
- 1:35:22Speaker 24: And it's unfortunate they want to politicize this when people's
- 1:35:26Speaker 24: lives are on the line.

- 1:36:47Speaker 19: President Trump is correct when he said that election security
- 1:36:51Speaker 19: is national security.
- 1:36:52Speaker 26: ABC News White House correspondent Karen Travers.
- 1:36:55Speaker 36: Democrats took a take last night that it was the
- 1:36:58Speaker 36: president saying these things in order to lay the groundwork
- 1:37:02Speaker 36: to challenge future elections. Now, many accused him of having
- 1:37:06Speaker 36: a backwards look, that he just can't get over his
- 1:37:09Speaker 36: election loss in 2020 to Joe Biden, but that this
- 1:37:12Speaker 36: is not just about his grievances about a past election,

- 1:38:18Speaker 2: The Cleveland Guardians are postponing tonight's game. It'll be made
- 1:38:22Speaker 2: up in the day-night doubleheader tomorrow. First game is at...
- 1:38:31Speaker 2: at 12.35 airtime, 1.10 first pitch. Second game tomorrow, 6.35 airtime,
- 1:38:36Speaker 2: 7.10 first pitch. So there you have it. So, isn't
- 1:38:47Speaker 2: that interesting? Due to smoke. So it's not due to
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: rain or any weather condition. It's due to smoke. Isn't
- 1:38:57Speaker 2: that interesting? I mean, is the smoke going to be
- 1:39:00Speaker 2: gone tomorrow? I mean, it was here yesterday and it's
- 1:39:04Speaker 2: here today. Will the wildfires be out by then? I mean,
- 1:39:09Speaker 2: it is pretty wild to see that smoke that's from
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: the Canadian wildfires. I mean, it's really pretty thick, and
- 1:39:18Speaker 2: it's there. Although it's a much more pleasant day today
- 1:39:21Speaker 2: with 83 degrees anyway. So go ahead, finish your thought.
- 1:39:25Speaker 2: I found it intriguing.
- 1:39:28Speaker 22: Well, just that they're going to rule the earth no
- 1:39:31Speaker 22: matter what, and they're setting up for what seems to
- 1:39:36Speaker 22: be in the Western world civilizations and lack of population
- 1:39:40Speaker 22: workers and they're finding a solution for it and unfortunately
- 1:39:45Speaker 22: the solution for it costs a lot of electricity and
- 1:39:49Speaker 22: the same people that aren't doing the work for them
- 1:39:52Speaker 22: also use a lot of electricity so guess which one
- 1:39:55Speaker 22: they're going to choose. That's just me looking at how
- 1:40:00Speaker 22: the world works and looking at history and how a
- 1:40:04Speaker 22: lot of people you know, they just can't envision how
- 1:40:07Speaker 22: bad life could be because they don't study history. And
- 1:40:12Speaker 22: I don't know if it's like tomorrow or something, but
- 1:40:15Speaker 22: you asked me what my opinion, you know, just like
- 1:40:19Speaker 22: when you said, should we went to Iran?
- 1:40:21Speaker 4: I said, no.
- 1:40:22Speaker 22: And it's time for lights out. And here we are again.
- 1:40:25Speaker 22: You know, I mean, I kind of see things and
- 1:40:28Speaker 22: I just shut up because nobody wants to hear them,
- 1:40:30Speaker 22: you know, but you asked and I'm telling you, I
- 1:40:32Speaker 22: think there, it's not good for humanity with all this
- 1:40:36Speaker 22: like setting up. Did you see the link that I
- 1:40:38Speaker 22: sent you by chance?
- 1:40:40Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:40:41Speaker 22: Of all the data centers in Ohio?
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:40:42Speaker 22: That's pretty, you know, that's already just, they're all there already.
- 1:40:47Speaker 2: I mean, how many of these things do you need
- 1:40:50Speaker 2: to build? I mean, it is incredible the size of
- 1:40:54Speaker 2: many of these. I mean, they're bigger than, I mean,
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: the size of them is just huge. So that means
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: in many cases you go cut down all the trees
- 1:41:06Speaker 2: in this prime farmland. You cut down all the trees.
- 1:41:10Speaker 2: And many of these people were environmentalists. You know, they
- 1:41:12Speaker 2: thought they believed in the windmills and solar panels and
- 1:41:16Speaker 2: all of that kind of stuff till it came to
- 1:41:17Speaker 2: their own industry. Then all of a sudden it's okay
- 1:41:20Speaker 2: now to be an energy pig and cut down trees
- 1:41:23Speaker 2: and this kind of stuff. So they built, build on
- 1:41:25Speaker 2: what a hundred or plus acres or more than that.
- 1:41:28Speaker 2: They put them close to neighborhoods. They, They use a
- 1:41:31Speaker 2: ton of water and a ton of power and prices
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: for people. In many of these areas, as I read
- 1:41:37Speaker 2: about it, their electric bills are out of sight and
- 1:41:42Speaker 2: their water bills are out of sight. So they're basically
- 1:41:48Speaker 2: dramatically changing the lives of Joe Bagadonis as far as–
- 1:41:53Speaker 2: Cheap utilities, water and electric, like you don't need that.
- 1:41:58Speaker 2: It's a big problem. And they're saying, well, the amount
- 1:42:01Speaker 2: of water that they use, or even if it's a
- 1:42:03Speaker 2: closed system, that you always have to dump that water
- 1:42:08Speaker 2: and clean the system at some point. Well, what chemicals
- 1:42:10Speaker 2: are involved in that, and where do you dump it?
- 1:42:15Speaker 22: You know, Ron, this whole reusable with the batteries and
- 1:42:18Speaker 22: reusable energy thing, techniques, how it kind of went away
- 1:42:23Speaker 22: and it seemed like it was all corporate solutions that
- 1:42:25Speaker 22: required solar panels and all these things that cost a
- 1:42:28Speaker 22: bunch of money from other countries and everything. I think
- 1:42:31Speaker 22: that they knew this was coming a long time ago,
- 1:42:34Speaker 22: and they hoped they could get everybody off of the
- 1:42:38Speaker 22: main electric brand so they would be using these alternate sources,
- 1:42:43Speaker 22: and they wouldn't notice that They really didn't care at all.
- 1:42:46Speaker 6: About the environment.
- 1:42:47Speaker 22: They were going full speed ahead with every bit of
- 1:42:49Speaker 22: energy they could make anywhere in the world.
- 1:42:51Speaker 2: Is there supposed to be an AI center in every
- 1:42:53Speaker 2: community everywhere? These giant, I mean, you look at where
- 1:42:58Speaker 2: they want to put them all. And as I said before,
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: they prefer our area because cooler weather is much better.
- 1:43:04Speaker 2: for these AI centers in, let's say, Florida. Florida is
- 1:43:07Speaker 2: not an ideal location even though they have them there
- 1:43:11Speaker 2: because it's too hot. We have the ideal weather here
- 1:43:16Speaker 2: and we have the water. supply for it here, and
- 1:43:20Speaker 2: it's better to build it here. But despite that, they
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: still have some in Florida which basically suck up a
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: lot of the aquifer, and as a result of it,
- 1:43:29Speaker 2: you have people that have to drill their wells deeper.
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: All kinds of headaches are coming from this stuff. All
- 1:43:36Speaker 2: kinds of them.
- 1:43:38Speaker 22: We're competing against it.
- 1:43:40Speaker 2: And you're losing. You're losing against it.
- 1:43:42Speaker 5: Oh, God, yes.
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: Totally. And it seems to me Maybe these people are
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: right that there needs to be a moratorium on this
- 1:43:49Speaker 2: kind of stuff and there needs to be a pause
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: on it. Why should we as consumers have our electric
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: rates double or triple? More than just double, they've doubled
- 1:44:00Speaker 2: already and will go up more to where it dramatically
- 1:44:03Speaker 2: affects our lives because of how expensive electricity is and
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: then water as well and the problem with water. Are
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: we subservient to these AI centers? Maybe so.
- 1:44:15Speaker 22: Well, Ron, in a little while, you and I won't
- 1:44:18Speaker 22: be here to yell about it, and there'll be less
- 1:44:21Speaker 22: people to yell about it. And so I think they're
- 1:44:25Speaker 22: just going to wait it out and move ahead, and
- 1:44:26Speaker 22: it's not going to be pretty for those that are left.
- 1:44:28Speaker 22: Or maybe, you know, when that's like a negative point
- 1:44:31Speaker 22: of view, you could say, okay, so now there's less people.
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: I don't necessarily agree with that either. I don't write
- 1:44:37Speaker 2: off the younger generation. in being vocal. Sometimes I think
- 1:44:41Speaker 2: the younger generation has a lot more gonads than the
- 1:44:44Speaker 2: older generation.
- 1:44:46Speaker 22: Maybe, but there's less of them.
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: Well, that's true. There is less of them.
- 1:44:52Speaker 22: And so, you know, you have to view the world
- 1:44:54Speaker 22: maybe with what it means to be less people. Maybe
- 1:44:56Speaker 22: it won't be bad for them because there's less people
- 1:44:58Speaker 22: and they'll need less electricity.
- 1:45:00Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:45:01Speaker 2: Well, okay, Professor.
- 1:45:02Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:45:02Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:45:03Speaker 21: Yes.
- 1:45:03Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:45:04Speaker 2: The guru of Gerard on NewsRadio 570. Ron Furb from
- 1:45:09Speaker 2: the Kingdom of Mahoning, you're on the air.
- 1:45:12Speaker 14: Hi, Ron.
- 1:45:12Speaker 21: The Pleasantville Patriot here.
- 1:45:14Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:45:15Speaker 21: Three things I want to hit you with real quick,
- 1:45:17Speaker 21: and I know your mind is very fertile, as Rush
- 1:45:20Speaker 21: used to say. Go back to the potential shooter at
- 1:45:23Speaker 21: that dinner at the White House. Remember the video that
- 1:45:27Speaker 21: we all saw a million times, and I haven't had
- 1:45:29Speaker 21: a chance to call you in a few months. Remember
- 1:45:32Speaker 21: that video where the officer and the dog walk behind
- 1:45:37Speaker 21: that guy into a room, and then the officer comes
- 1:45:39Speaker 21: back out without his dog, and that guy comes bursting
- 1:45:42Speaker 21: through that door with a gun strapped on the front
- 1:45:44Speaker 21: of him. And if you remember, he runs towards that entrance.
- 1:45:48Speaker 21: Is there anything you noticed about the eight or nine
- 1:45:51Speaker 21: Homeland Security officers, Secret Service, whoever they all were, Did
- 1:45:56Speaker 21: you notice anything about all of them as he ran
- 1:45:59Speaker 21: through that group of officers?
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: The fact that they missed every shot they fired?
- 1:46:09Speaker 6: That's only part of it.
- 1:46:12Speaker 21: First of all, when he ran through the door with
- 1:46:14Speaker 21: a gun, the guy standing there saw him.
- 1:46:16Speaker 6: He was facing him, and he did nothing.
- 1:46:18Speaker 21: He didn't try to tackle him.
- 1:46:19Speaker 6: He didn't chase him. But think about it.
- 1:46:22Speaker 21: If you're behind that guy and just a few steps
- 1:46:24Speaker 21: behind him, it would be impossible for him to stop, turn,
- 1:46:29Speaker 21: pull his gun up and shoot you before you had
- 1:46:31Speaker 21: him around the throat.
- 1:46:33Speaker 6: Impossible.
- 1:46:34Speaker 21: But the thing that I noticed, and nobody else has
- 1:46:36Speaker 21: even talked about this, is nine of the ten officers
- 1:46:40Speaker 21: weren't even looking at the entranceway, which they were supposed
- 1:46:43Speaker 21: to be protecting. They were standing around talking, gawking, looking
- 1:46:47Speaker 21: the other direction. That, to me, said volumes. Their job
- 1:46:53Speaker 21: was to watch that entrance and protect it. And as
- 1:46:55Speaker 21: some said on Fox News, Mac, they were actually tearing
- 1:46:58Speaker 21: it down. They shouldn't have touched anything until Trump.
- 1:47:01Speaker 6: The event was over. Trump was out of the building.
- 1:47:04Speaker 21: But these clowns were not doing their job. And you're
- 1:47:06Speaker 21: right at point blank range. How do you not shoot
- 1:47:09Speaker 21: that guy before he gets 10 feet past you? That
- 1:47:12Speaker 21: was just unbelievable to me. And then we never saw
- 1:47:15Speaker 21: what happened after he left that viewing area.
- 1:47:18Speaker 6: So that's just.
- 1:47:19Speaker 21: An observation I had that I don't think anybody else caught.
- 1:47:23Speaker 21: But that was just a horrible job from those officers.
- 1:47:27Speaker 21: Second of all, on CNN last night, and this happens
- 1:47:31Speaker 21: every night, you have five or six liberals beating up
- 1:47:33Speaker 21: one or two conservatives, and they are just so horrified
- 1:47:37Speaker 21: over these three deaths with these ICE officers, shooting down
- 1:47:42Speaker 21: innocent people in the streets, and just horrified. And there's
- 1:47:46Speaker 21: hundreds of thousands being deported. And there's three people dead.
- 1:47:50Speaker 21: We still don't know all the details on it. But
- 1:47:53Speaker 21: they don't care about Ashley Babbitt getting shot at point-blank range,
- 1:47:58Speaker 21: a white, unarmed woman that was pushed up to the
- 1:48:02Speaker 21: entrance of the doorway to the Capitol. They could care less.
- 1:48:08Speaker 21: That was pure murder. The cop got an award. And
- 1:48:12Speaker 21: all the illegals that have murdered young women and raped them,
- 1:48:16Speaker 21: they don't care about those deaths. But these three so-called innocent... people,
- 1:48:20Speaker 21: it's just horrific. Third thing, the fraud hearing yesterday, I
- 1:48:27Speaker 21: forget what federal committee it was, not one Democrat on
- 1:48:31Speaker 21: the committee showed up for the fraud hearing.
- 1:48:35Speaker 14: Think about that.
- 1:48:37Speaker 2: Yeah, let me put it this way, though. I want
- 1:48:40Speaker 2: to go back to ICE and the shooting the other day.
- 1:48:42Speaker 2: I'm getting to the point where I would actually propose this.
- 1:48:51Speaker 2: First and foremost, here's my first proposal. As an officer,
- 1:48:58Speaker 2: do not stand in front of the vehicle. All right?
- 1:49:01Speaker 2: I mean, if I was running ICE... this would be
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: where I would start. Do not stand in front of
- 1:49:08Speaker 2: the vehicle so situations like this cannot happen. You follow me?
- 1:49:13Speaker 2: That's number one. I agree. I'm just saying, from the
- 1:49:16Speaker 2: officer standpoint, do not stand in front of the vehicle.
- 1:49:19Speaker 2: My second thing is I'm beginning to come to the
- 1:49:23Speaker 2: belief that I believe that these ICE officers all should
- 1:49:27Speaker 2: be in uniforms. They should all be in uniform so
- 1:49:30Speaker 2: they're easily identifiable. They should not be in plain clothes
- 1:49:33Speaker 2: or anything like that, whether that's a Border Patrol uniform
- 1:49:37Speaker 2: or whatever, just like a police officer is. They should
- 1:49:41Speaker 2: be wearing a uniform. So it's very clear what's going on.
- 1:49:45Speaker 2: You follow me? I mean, I think they should be uniformed.
- 1:49:47Speaker 21: Yep, I agree with that, too.
- 1:49:49Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:49:49Speaker 21: My focus is on.
- 1:49:50Speaker 2: The credibility of these events.
- 1:49:52Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:49:52Speaker 2: I'm just trying to stop these events from happening. All right.
- 1:49:56Speaker 2: So don't stand in front of the vehicle. I think
- 1:49:59Speaker 2: they all should have identifiable uniforms on. And I have
- 1:50:05Speaker 2: to contemplate whether or not they should be in marked cars.
- 1:50:08Speaker 2: But I'm leaning more towards that they should be in
- 1:50:10Speaker 2: marked vehicles as well. There is too much confusion going
- 1:50:14Speaker 2: on with unmarked cars and not in uniforms and standing
- 1:50:19Speaker 2: in front of a vehicle.
- 1:50:22Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:50:22Speaker 21: No, I agree with you. But if you remember in
- 1:50:24Speaker 21: the first two, They were actively interfering with law enforcement.
- 1:50:29Speaker 4: Yes, yes, yes.
- 1:50:30Speaker 6: And then the petty, what.
- 1:50:32Speaker 21: Was that guy's name, Scott Petty or Pretty?
- 1:50:34Speaker 6: If you remember, the initial.
- 1:50:37Speaker 21: Video comes out, and you don't see any of the
- 1:50:39Speaker 21: previous things that the guy did. He's screaming at them saying,
- 1:50:43Speaker 21: assault me.
- 1:50:44Speaker 6: Right. He's kicking out.
- 1:50:45Speaker 21: The taillight of the vehicle. Then he grabs that perpetrator
- 1:50:48Speaker 21: that they were trying to arrest and starts dragging the
- 1:50:51Speaker 21: person away from the ICE agents who were trying to
- 1:50:54Speaker 21: detain this person. We don't even know if they were
- 1:50:56Speaker 21: going to arrest him, arrest this person, or.
- 1:50:59Speaker 6: We don't know anything.
- 1:50:59Speaker 2: You don't misunderstand.
- 1:51:00Speaker 21: When you're interfering and dragging away someone that's trying to
- 1:51:03Speaker 21: be arrested, what do you think is.
- 1:51:04Speaker 6: Going to happen?
- 1:51:05Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:51:05Speaker 21: But my point is they're not concerned about any of
- 1:51:08Speaker 21: the other deaths.
- 1:51:09Speaker 2: Right. No, I totally agree with that. And I'm not
- 1:51:13Speaker 2: saying that the people that there aren't– citizens that aren't
- 1:51:17Speaker 2: to blame for their outcome because of their actions. Because
- 1:51:21Speaker 2: they should not be getting involved in this stuff.
- 1:51:23Speaker 21: You're just saying policy needs to change.
- 1:51:25Speaker 2: I agree with that. Yeah, I think it'd be a
- 1:51:27Speaker 2: good idea. All right.
- 1:51:28Speaker 21: But the fraud hearing, don't forget about the fraud hearing.
- 1:51:31Speaker 21: Not one Democrat showed up. They don't care. Fraud means
- 1:51:34Speaker 21: votes for them. Right.
- 1:51:36Speaker 2: That doesn't surprise me at all. If you're expecting me
- 1:51:39Speaker 2: to be shocked by that, I'm not. I'm disappointed by
- 1:51:41Speaker 2: it more than anything. We should all be concerned about
- 1:51:44Speaker 2: any fraud. As we continue to lose confidence in our
- 1:51:49Speaker 2: voting system. I have confidence in Ohio because when I
- 1:51:52Speaker 2: show up, I have to show an ID. By the way,
- 1:51:55Speaker 2: you want to hear something interesting? I think I have
- 1:51:57Speaker 2: something interesting. Here you go. Listen to this. Olive Garden's
- 1:52:02Speaker 2: never-ending pasta pass, okay? sparked an unlikely political firestorm after
- 1:52:08Speaker 2: conservatives applauded the restaurant's photo ID requirement, arguing the policy
- 1:52:14Speaker 2: is stricter than voting laws in some Democrat-led states. Olive
- 1:52:18Speaker 2: Garden requires an ID to use their never-ending pasta pass.
- 1:52:25Speaker 2: But most Democrats-run states don't require you to have an
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: ID to vote. So in America, our pasta deals are
- 1:52:33Speaker 2: literally more secure than our elections. Olive Garden's never-ending pasta
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: pass gives customers unlimited meals, but the restaurant requires pass
- 1:52:43Speaker 2: holders to present a valid photo ID matching the name
- 1:52:48Speaker 2: printed on the pass when ordering. So you've got to
- 1:52:51Speaker 2: have an ID for your Olive Garden pasta pass, but
- 1:52:55Speaker 2: the Democrats don't think you should have to have an
- 1:52:57Speaker 2: ID to vote. This is the insanity.
- 1:52:59Speaker 21: Ron, over here in Pennsylvania, I'm the chairman of our
- 1:53:02Speaker 21: Republican Party in our county. You can send in ballots
- 1:53:07Speaker 21: with no ID with the ballot. In other words, you
- 1:53:09Speaker 21: can apply, and it could be third party, could send
- 1:53:12Speaker 21: you the application. They could already have it filled out
- 1:53:14Speaker 21: for you.
- 1:53:15Speaker 6: You send it in.
- 1:53:17Speaker 21: And you get your ballot, but when you send your
- 1:53:20Speaker 21: ballot back in, there's no ID required with it. There
- 1:53:23Speaker 21: is no possible way that the county can verify that
- 1:53:26Speaker 21: the same person that received the application is the person
- 1:53:29Speaker 21: who sent in the ballot. Anybody could get their hands
- 1:53:32Speaker 21: on the ballot and fill it out and send it in,
- 1:53:34Speaker 21: and there's no way to catch them. No possible way.
- 1:53:37Speaker 7: You can maybe catch the one at.
- 1:53:39Speaker 6: The courthouse, but there's no way to catch.
- 1:53:40Speaker 21: The person who sent it because you have no idea
- 1:53:42Speaker 21: who put it in the mail.
- 1:53:44Speaker 13: Thank you.
- 1:53:44Speaker 1: Weather and Talk Station 570 WKBN.
- 1:53:48Speaker 2: Just responding to that last guy because the break caught us.
- 1:53:52Speaker 2: I mean, you can't do that in Pennsylvania. Just like
- 1:53:54Speaker 2: how do you feel secure in a system, voting system,
- 1:53:57Speaker 2: where in California they mail everyone a ballot? You don't
- 1:53:59Speaker 2: ask for it. They just mail ballots out. So you
- 1:54:01Speaker 2: could be the person could be dead. They could have moved.
- 1:54:04Speaker 2: You don't know who's voting that ballot. It's just ripe
- 1:54:06Speaker 2: for fraud. And the fact that the Democrats support that
- 1:54:09Speaker 2: kind of stuff tells me that they that they have
- 1:54:11Speaker 2: no problem with fraud being involved in the election system.
- 1:54:18Speaker 2: For example, like when the Democrats said, oh, they don't
- 1:54:20Speaker 2: like the Supreme Court. It's too conservative. We should get
- 1:54:22Speaker 2: in power and expand the court so that we can
- 1:54:24Speaker 2: pack the court with political appointees that are liberal. Well,
- 1:54:28Speaker 2: I always thought the point of the Supreme Court was
- 1:54:30Speaker 2: to have justices that interpret the Constitution. Constitutionally, what does
- 1:54:34Speaker 2: that mean? Not advocates, but looking at it from a
- 1:54:38Speaker 2: constitutional point, which is what I think conservatives do. They
- 1:54:41Speaker 2: try to look at it from constitutionally. Does this... How
- 1:54:46Speaker 2: do we rule on this? Well, the Democrats wanted to
- 1:54:49Speaker 2: expand the Supreme Court so they could add more liberals on.
- 1:54:53Speaker 2: They could almost give this liberal tilt to everything, making
- 1:54:58Speaker 2: a mockery of the judicial system. Or when you would
- 1:55:03Speaker 2: go to court, it shouldn't matter whether you're a Democrat
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: or Republican, conservative or liberal. You deserve your fair trial
- 1:55:10Speaker 2: in our court system. And you would see where that
- 1:55:13Speaker 2: wouldn't be happening. based on politics. I mean, we shouldn't
- 1:55:17Speaker 2: have politics in our judicial system, whether it's a Supreme
- 1:55:20Speaker 2: Court or if you're standing in front of a judge.
- 1:55:23Speaker 2: And there's too much of that going into that, so
- 1:55:25Speaker 2: you lose confidence and faith in it, just as you're
- 1:55:28Speaker 2: doing in our voting system because of people that support fraud.
- 1:55:33Speaker 2: Why do you have to show a photo ID at
- 1:55:35Speaker 2: Olive Garden for the pasta pass? Is it a big deal?
- 1:55:39Speaker 2: In Ohio, when I vote, I got to give my
- 1:55:41Speaker 2: driver's license. It's not a big deal. It's not racist.
- 1:55:44Speaker 2: I feel more secure in our voting that way. These
- 1:55:47Speaker 2: other states, they just aren't doing it the right way.
- 1:55:50Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 1:55:52Speaker 6: How you doing, my brother?
- 1:55:55Speaker 2: I am doing well. Thank you for asking. It's Emanuel, 527. Welcome.
- 1:55:59Speaker 6: Yeah, well, you know, I had an epitome this week
- 1:56:04Speaker 6: listening to you.
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: Epitome? Is that like a hemorrhoid? You had an epitome?
- 1:56:09Speaker 6: Oh, no, it's like a piece of pecan pie. It
- 1:56:12Speaker 6: just tastes good.
- 1:56:13Speaker 2: Okay, what's your epitome?
- 1:56:15Speaker 6: Well, I was listening to the G2 talk, and I
- 1:56:19Speaker 6: was listening to you talk, right? And I realized we
- 1:56:24Speaker 6: are on two different planets. We are from two different worlds.
- 1:56:29Speaker 6: And I get what you guys, I get the world
- 1:56:32Speaker 6: you guys are on, but you don't get the world
- 1:56:35Speaker 6: that we're on.
- 1:56:35Speaker 2: Explain, please.
- 1:56:38Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:56:38Speaker 6: Now, you and G2 were talking about how corporations are
- 1:56:43Speaker 6: taking over doctors' practices and things like that.
- 1:56:48Speaker 2: Investment firms. Investment firms.
- 1:56:51Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:56:52Speaker 6: Investment firms. And then he mentioned they also... taking over
- 1:56:58Speaker 6: the veterinarian's business.
- 1:57:00Speaker 2: Okay, let me just reiterate for our listeners. I was
- 1:57:02Speaker 2: talking about a letter written to the editor. You might
- 1:57:05Speaker 2: have seen it in a trib and or the vindicator
- 1:57:08Speaker 2: from Dr. Allen, a longtime veterinarian in our community, that
- 1:57:11Speaker 2: said one of his concerns was how many veterinary clinics,
- 1:57:14Speaker 2: veterinarians are being bought out by investment firms. And what
- 1:57:18Speaker 2: happens when they get bought out, they have to stay
- 1:57:20Speaker 2: on and they buy this new equipment and then put
- 1:57:23Speaker 2: the pressure on the vets to use the new equipment
- 1:57:25Speaker 2: to pay for it. And it all becomes about getting
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: more money out of the person when they come in
- 1:57:31Speaker 2: and making vet care unaffordable because the investment company is
- 1:57:35Speaker 2: all about making money. And he was very critical of it.
- 1:57:39Speaker 2: And I thought he made some really good points. Well,
- 1:57:42Speaker 2: you also have that going on in the purchase of
- 1:57:45Speaker 2: family-owned funeral homes that aren't owned by the family anymore.
- 1:57:49Speaker 2: They have the same name, but they're owned by investment companies.
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: What's an investment company do? They buy something, and you
- 1:57:55Speaker 2: think they want to make the same amount of money? No.
- 1:57:57Speaker 2: They want to figure out how to make even more money,
- 1:57:59Speaker 2: which means you pay more for the service. That's why
- 1:58:02Speaker 2: I say Higgins Reardon is a locally-owned, family-owned funeral home
- 1:58:07Speaker 2: in this community. It's one of the few locally-owned family,
- 1:58:11Speaker 2: and that should matter. Go ahead.
- 1:58:13Speaker 6: Well, I totally agree with everything you just said. But
- 1:58:21Speaker 6: the answer to the problem that G2 gave is like
- 1:58:27Speaker 6: from another world. He said, you know, correct me if
- 1:58:32Speaker 6: I'm wrong, that he called the company up for his pet.
- 1:58:38Speaker 6: And he told them that if they can't give him
- 1:58:42Speaker 6: a better deal, then he'll drive seven hours somewhere else
- 1:58:48Speaker 6: to get it done cheaper.
- 1:58:49Speaker 7: Is that true?
- 1:58:49Speaker 2: Hold that thought. Hold that thought. Back with Emanuel in
- 1:58:52Speaker 2: a minute. News Radio 570, WKBN.
- 1:58:57Speaker 18: Let's start here.
- 1:58:57Speaker 4: So good morning and welcome.
- 1:58:58Speaker 13: We are now underway.
- 1:59:00Speaker 19: We're following the events of the day. What we're just
- 1:59:03Speaker 19: now hearing about.
- 1:59:03Speaker 7: This is new information. Throughout the day.
- 1:59:06Speaker 23: Good day.
- 1:59:07Speaker 13: This is where it stands now.
- 1:59:08Speaker 7: Pick up the conversation.
- 1:59:10Speaker 18: We'll talk about what's happening. Anytime.
- 1:59:12Speaker 4: The deal we reached with Iran.
- 1:59:13Speaker 7: The devil's in the details. Bringing the price of gasoline down.
- 1:59:16Speaker 7: Maintain the Fed funds rate.
- 1:59:18Speaker 18: Tying Pfizer to the Save Act. NATO has been.
- 1:59:20Speaker 7: A paper tiger for the very latest.
- 1:59:22Speaker 4: We'll see how that all plays out.
- 1:59:24Speaker 7: News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 1:59:26Speaker 1: The CDC is advising that nobody eat shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1:59:33Speaker 1: from Taco Bell locations in Ohio.
- 1:59:36Speaker 33: CDC says more than 1,600 people who have become sick
- 1:59:40Speaker 33: with cyclosporiasis ate lettuce from Taco Bell locations in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan,
- 1:59:46Speaker 33: and West Virginia.
- 1:59:47Speaker 2: Before they got sick.
- 1:59:49Speaker 33: CDC says it's continuing to investigate other outbreaks and illnesses
- 1:59:53Speaker 33: of cyclosporiasis nationally that are not related to the outbreak
- 1:59:58Speaker 33: stemming from Taco Bell. Air quality advisory continues for the
- 2:00:02Speaker 33: entire state of Ohio because of the smoke from Canadian wildfires.
- 2:00:06Speaker 33: Pollution levels could range from unhealthy to hazardous. with several
- 2:00:11Speaker 33: Ohio communities reporting extremely high readings earlier today. I'm Matt Reese.

- 2:00:20Speaker 16: and sports radio.
- 2:00:22Speaker 7: Podcasts, too.
- 2:00:23Speaker 2: Download the app.
- 2:00:24Speaker 7: Free never sounded so good.
- 2:00:27Speaker 1: Ron Verb on NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 2:00:30Speaker 7: All right, let me go back.
- 2:00:34Speaker 2: So, yeah, so anyway, we're talking about investment firms were
- 2:00:39Speaker 2: buying up like small business, that they were just buying
- 2:00:43Speaker 2: up a lot of small businesses, heating and cooling companies,
- 2:00:48Speaker 2: funeral homes.
- 2:00:50Speaker 4: Dr.
- 2:00:50Speaker 2: Allen wrote that letter about veterinary practices and medical practices
- 2:00:55Speaker 2: as well for humans.
- 2:00:59Speaker 33: Okay.
- 2:01:00Speaker 6: Now, like I said, I totally agree. with everything you
- 2:01:05Speaker 6: just said. I can't believe I just said I totally
- 2:01:07Speaker 6: agree with everything you just said. What's going on? Something
- 2:01:09Speaker 6: wrong with me.
- 2:01:09Speaker 2: Yeah, you probably should get a shower immediately.
- 2:01:12Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm going to go take a shower immediately, right?
- 2:01:15Speaker 6: By myself, too. No help. But this is where I
- 2:01:19Speaker 6: realized that the G2 doesn't have a clue with the
- 2:01:24Speaker 6: rest of the world. When he says that he calls
- 2:01:30Speaker 6: the firm upright and tell them, Well, listen, if you
- 2:01:34Speaker 6: don't give me the deal that I want, I'm going
- 2:01:38Speaker 6: to drive seven hours with my pet to get my pet,
- 2:01:43Speaker 6: you know, fixed somewhere else. And I'm sitting here thinking, now,
- 2:01:47Speaker 6: you know, I drove taxis off and on for years.
- 2:01:51Speaker 6: So I drove in Youngstown.
- 2:01:55Speaker 7: I drove in Warren.
- 2:01:56Speaker 6: You know, a couple decades I drove taxis. So, you know,
- 2:01:59Speaker 6: I was out in the public for all those times, right?
- 2:02:02Speaker 2: Right.
- 2:02:03Speaker 6: And I'm sitting there thinking to myself, there's people that
- 2:02:06Speaker 6: can't drive seven hours to take their child to a
- 2:02:09Speaker 6: doggone doctor. There's people who have to choose between taking
- 2:02:16Speaker 6: a pet or a child to the doctor or paying
- 2:02:18Speaker 6: a bill. And it's like G2 doesn't understand that. Now
- 2:02:22Speaker 6: you talk on this one.
- 2:02:26Speaker 2: There are people who can't drive seven. Well, there's always
- 2:02:28Speaker 2: going to be people who can and can't. Do you
- 2:02:30Speaker 2: ever watch... There's a show on cable. Do you ever
- 2:02:33Speaker 2: watch Dr. Jeff, Rocky Mountain Vet? You ever see him?
- 2:02:37Speaker 6: Well, why would I watch something like that?
- 2:02:40Speaker 2: Because it's a really cool show. It's on, I think,
- 2:02:43Speaker 2: Animal Planet. So, Dr. Jeff, you have people who drive
- 2:02:47Speaker 2: longer than seven or eight hours to take their pet
- 2:02:50Speaker 2: to see Dr. Jeff because... Some other vet is saying
- 2:02:56Speaker 2: it's going to be $ 3, 000 or something.
- 2:02:58Speaker 6: Are you saying people living on a farm?
- 2:03:01Speaker 2: No, I'm saying people with dogs, cats, they'll drive all
- 2:03:04Speaker 2: this way because some procedure is $ 3, 000 and he'll do
- 2:03:08Speaker 2: it for $ 600 or $ 800. And so they drive all
- 2:03:11Speaker 2: that way because that's what they can afford when it
- 2:03:14Speaker 2: comes to their dog or cat or whatever animal that
- 2:03:17Speaker 2: they have. It's called the Dr. Jeff Rocky Mountain Vet.
- 2:03:20Speaker 2: You should watch it. I mean, now not everybody drives that.
- 2:03:24Speaker 2: I mean, so some people pay the $ 3, 000 or some
- 2:03:27Speaker 2: people don't do anything. But there are those people who do.
- 2:03:30Speaker 2: So what do you want me to say? Some people–
- 2:03:34Speaker 2: like I think what G2 said was that he grabbed his–
- 2:03:41Speaker 2: whatever procedure they were having with the dog, and this
- 2:03:44Speaker 2: was a vet that was bought out by an investment firm,
- 2:03:47Speaker 2: and he said, forget it, forget everything, took his dog
- 2:03:51Speaker 2: and went, I think you're right, drove hours away to
- 2:03:56Speaker 2: a different vet that was not owned by an investment
- 2:04:01Speaker 2: firm and had a much better experience.
- 2:04:04Speaker 6: And the second thing, this goes to you. Now, you know,
- 2:04:09Speaker 6: I've been listening.
- 2:04:09Speaker 2: But wait a second. Wait a second. Before you go
- 2:04:11Speaker 2: to me, why do you think we live on different planets?
- 2:04:14Speaker 2: I mean, some people can go to a drive five
- 2:04:17Speaker 2: or six hours to a vet. I mean, I watch
- 2:04:20Speaker 2: them on TV all the time, and some people can't. Well, okay.
- 2:04:23Speaker 2: That's the way it is.
- 2:04:24Speaker 6: Well, that's not the answer, Ron. The answer is not
- 2:04:27Speaker 6: driving seven hours, right, because you can't. The answer is
- 2:04:31Speaker 6: you need to make it better for the majority of people.
- 2:04:33Speaker 2: Well, how do you do that?
- 2:04:34Speaker 6: Not the people who can.
- 2:04:36Speaker 2: Well, okay. How do you do that? I agree.
- 2:04:41Speaker 6: I don't know, but I don't see what they're saying. Well,
- 2:04:43Speaker 6: I can do it for seven hours, and I can
- 2:04:45Speaker 6: do this, and I can do that.
- 2:04:46Speaker 8: Well, so what?
- 2:04:46Speaker 5: You can do that.
- 2:04:47Speaker 6: Just like that movie you're talking about. The majority of
- 2:04:50Speaker 6: people can't do that.
- 2:04:52Speaker 2: That's not a movie, first of all. First of all,
- 2:04:54Speaker 2: it's not a movie. It's a TV show, all right?
- 2:04:56Speaker 2: Do you get cable? Do you have cable?
- 2:04:58Speaker 6: Do you get cable? Yes, and I told you.
- 2:05:06Speaker 2: Here's what I want you to do. I want you
- 2:05:08Speaker 2: to watch, I think it's on Animal Planet, watch Dr.
- 2:05:12Speaker 2: Jeff Rocky Mountain Vet. You've got to watch it, and
- 2:05:17Speaker 2: then you'll say, man, this is a hell of a guy.
- 2:05:19Speaker 2: He's a hell of a guy.
- 2:05:20Speaker 6: Okay, let me tell you who a hell of a
- 2:05:22Speaker 6: guy is. You ever watch Tulsa King?
- 2:05:25Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:05:26Speaker 6: Now, that's one hell of a guy. Right?
- 2:05:30Speaker 7: Now, I watch that religiously.
- 2:05:33Speaker 6: I mean, that's a good one.
- 2:05:37Speaker 2: Sylvester Stallone, huh?
- 2:05:41Speaker 6: And again, with you, right? Now, you know, I've been
- 2:05:46Speaker 6: talking to you for 25 years. Hard to believe. I
- 2:05:51Speaker 6: was talking to you when Baker Mayfield was still in
- 2:05:53Speaker 6: high school. Now the man's 30 years old.
- 2:05:56Speaker 2: Yes, yes.
- 2:05:58Speaker 6: Now, I can remember... When President Obama got elected, I
- 2:06:04Speaker 6: can remember the government was getting ready to go bankrupt.
- 2:06:09Speaker 6: General Motors was belly up. He came in and he
- 2:06:13Speaker 6: started doing things. And I told you, I said, well,
- 2:06:17Speaker 6: wait a minute, Ron. Bush had messed it up so bad,
- 2:06:21Speaker 6: you know, before Obama. Obama had to straighten himself out.
- 2:06:25Speaker 6: And you told me, you told me, to my face that, listen,
- 2:06:33Speaker 6: President Obama is the president. He has to stop blaming
- 2:06:37Speaker 6: the prior president for what's going on. And now you
- 2:06:42Speaker 6: guys are talking about something that happened 20 years ago.
- 2:06:45Speaker 6: You guys got the White House. You guys got the House.
- 2:06:48Speaker 6: You guys got the Senate.
- 2:06:49Speaker 5: And you're still blaming Democrats at what point?
- 2:06:52Speaker 2: What do you mean 20 years ago? What do you
- 2:06:56Speaker 2: mean I'm blaming people for something that happened 20 years ago?
- 2:06:58Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 2:06:59Speaker 6: Well, I heard you say that John Kerry said this and..
- 2:07:03Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Oh, okay. Okay, well, no, I'm saying if
- 2:07:08Speaker 2: you listen to..
- 2:07:09Speaker 6: At what point does this administration..
- 2:07:12Speaker 2: I am trying to educate you from a standpoint..
- 2:07:15Speaker 6: You've been around for 25 years, Ron, and I've been
- 2:07:17Speaker 6: getting dumber.
- 2:07:18Speaker 2: Go ahead. I know, but I'm still working on you.
- 2:07:20Speaker 2: But here's the reality. I'm trying to say to you,
- 2:07:23Speaker 2: just bear with me for a second. The reason I'm
- 2:07:26Speaker 2: paying twice as much for electricity is multifaceted. Keep in mind,
- 2:07:32Speaker 2: I'll just say again, when Obama was president with Hillary
- 2:07:34Speaker 2: Clinton and John Kerry and Biden and all these green
- 2:07:37Speaker 2: energy people, they, and you're paying for this too, insisted
- 2:07:42Speaker 2: they regulated coal plants out of existence and then required
- 2:07:46Speaker 2: that they be torn down so they couldn't be turned
- 2:07:49Speaker 2: back on. They required they be torn down. So you
- 2:07:51Speaker 2: take the Samus plants, that had all the latest scrubbers
- 2:07:55Speaker 2: and everything in it. They would keep putting more regulations
- 2:07:59Speaker 2: on them so that they would be just, you couldn't survive.
- 2:08:04Speaker 2: And in turn, that plant was just torn down not
- 2:08:07Speaker 2: too long ago, but they never had anything to replace
- 2:08:11Speaker 2: the power that they generated to replace that power. So
- 2:08:15Speaker 2: what I'm saying to you is their philosophy of tear
- 2:08:18Speaker 2: down coal plants and don't have anything to replace the
- 2:08:21Speaker 2: power that they generate, help create a crunch when it
- 2:08:25Speaker 2: comes to electricity. Then you add in these AI centers,
- 2:08:30Speaker 2: which are sucking up a lot of water and power,
- 2:08:33Speaker 2: adding to the demand of means electric demand is skyrocketing,
- 2:08:38Speaker 2: which means you as a consumer are paying out of
- 2:08:41Speaker 2: the wazoo and will pay even more next year and
- 2:08:43Speaker 2: a year after that for your electricity. And in many areas,
- 2:08:49Speaker 2: the same thing can be said for water because of
- 2:08:52Speaker 2: AI centers, not because of Obama, because AI centers are
- 2:08:56Speaker 2: sucking up so much water that the water rates have
- 2:08:59Speaker 2: gone through skyrocketed because of AI centers. I'm merely trying
- 2:09:02Speaker 2: to explain to you why electric costs so much and
- 2:09:06Speaker 2: what's taking place. And it's not an answer to say, well,
- 2:09:10Speaker 2: it's solely because of this one reason. It's multifaceted. It's
- 2:09:14Speaker 2: destroying coal plants, not replacing them. The green energy philosophy,
- 2:09:19Speaker 2: it's the AI centers and how much power they suck down,
- 2:09:22Speaker 2: creating this demand for both water and electricity. And I
- 2:09:26Speaker 2: don't know where we're going to be. Both you and me.
- 2:09:28Speaker 2: It doesn't matter if you're Democrat or Republican in the
- 2:09:31Speaker 2: next year or two or three, how much you're going
- 2:09:34Speaker 2: to be paying on your electric bill. And you'll think
- 2:09:38Speaker 2: twice before. Energy's got to be affordable. You'll think twice
- 2:09:42Speaker 2: before you turn on your air conditioning or make your
- 2:09:45Speaker 2: house comfortable because you won't be able to afford it.
- 2:09:48Speaker 2: And it was John Kerry that said we should live
- 2:09:51Speaker 2: like they do in Europe and France, meaning you and me.
- 2:09:55Speaker 2: We shouldn't have air conditionings. They don't have it over there.
- 2:09:58Speaker 2: We should have fans. It was the pompous ass that said,
- 2:10:02Speaker 2: you and I should live like that. He wouldn't live
- 2:10:04Speaker 2: like that. He wouldn't have his air conditioning on. But
- 2:10:08Speaker 2: these people that come over for the soccer from these
- 2:10:10Speaker 2: places are over here saying, this is wonderful. America's great.
- 2:10:14Speaker 2: Air conditioning's great. We're living, we're sweating, we're hot, we're humid.
- 2:10:19Speaker 2: We have more deaths as a result of it. You
- 2:10:21Speaker 2: would even go to the hospital and it wouldn't be
- 2:10:24Speaker 2: air conditioned. It's insanity what's going on over there. I'm
- 2:10:30Speaker 2: just trying to educate you. I've been working on you
- 2:10:32Speaker 2: for 25 plus years to educate you. Now, that is
- 2:10:36Speaker 2: outside of the realm of politics. So just take it
- 2:10:39Speaker 2: and suck in the knowledge I just gave you.
- 2:10:41Speaker 6: Can I say something? I listen to you very diligently.
- 2:10:46Speaker 6: I listen to you, right? But I will tell you this.
- 2:10:49Speaker 6: As an American consumer, all those things you said, right,
- 2:10:54Speaker 6: I'll give you. But as an American consumer, I saw
- 2:11:00Speaker 6: a person run up a president, tell me and you
- 2:11:08Speaker 6: that they were going to fix everything that the Democrats
- 2:11:12Speaker 6: did wrong. All they needed was the House. All they
- 2:11:16Speaker 6: needed was the Senate. And all they needed was the
- 2:11:18Speaker 6: White House. Donald Trump has been elected twice. He has
- 2:11:22Speaker 6: two opportunities to make things better. But what did he do?
- 2:11:28Speaker 6: The first term, it didn't get better. We lost jobs,
- 2:11:31Speaker 6: and the deficit went up. This term right here is
- 2:11:34Speaker 6: not getting better, and the deficit is going up.
- 2:11:37Speaker 2: Okay, now wait a second here. The first term there
- 2:11:40Speaker 2: was COVID, which caused that particular issue. So what?
- 2:11:44Speaker 6: Why don't we say COVID?
- 2:11:46Speaker 2: Because there was a pandemic with COVID. Listen to me.
- 2:11:55Speaker 2: I'm trying to educate you again. COVID in the first term.
- 2:12:01Speaker 2: If you're asking me about the second term, this is
- 2:12:04Speaker 2: the difference between you and me. COVID was his problem
- 2:12:07Speaker 2: in the first term with what you're saying, because the
- 2:12:09Speaker 2: vast majority of time that wasn't the case. Even they
- 2:12:12Speaker 2: admit that on MSNBC. Now, if you go to the second..
- 2:12:15Speaker 6: I don't watch MSNBC. MSNBC got sued by Donald Trump.
- 2:12:19Speaker 6: And so they, all, what you call the mainstream media, whatever,
- 2:12:25Speaker 6: all those people, right, got on their knees for.
- 2:12:28Speaker 5: Donald Trump because Donald Trump sued them.
- 2:12:30Speaker 6: So that's because I don't watch them anymore.
- 2:12:31Speaker 5: I keep telling you that.
- 2:12:32Speaker 6: I don't watch them anymore. They are beholden to the
- 2:12:35Speaker 6: Donald Trump doggone administration. Now, go ahead.
- 2:12:39Speaker 2: The second term of Trump, he is to blame for
- 2:12:43Speaker 2: the economic situation. As I stated earlier in a program,
- 2:12:47Speaker 2: unlike you, I can acknowledge that the situation in Iran,
- 2:12:54Speaker 2: he created this problem. There isn't a good way out
- 2:12:57Speaker 2: of this at all. And he's made a mess. He's
- 2:13:01Speaker 2: made a mess of our economy and inflation because of
- 2:13:04Speaker 2: the decision he made by going into Iran because he
- 2:13:08Speaker 2: was duped by Netanyahu in Israel. And I'm here to
- 2:13:11Speaker 2: tell you there's no end in sight. I'm here to
- 2:13:14Speaker 2: tell you we're draining the strategic oil reserves, and I'm
- 2:13:17Speaker 2: very concerned.
- 2:13:18Speaker 6: With— We're down to non-functioning right now, Ron. We've got
- 2:13:21Speaker 6: like six days left.
- 2:13:22Speaker 17: Right.
- 2:13:22Speaker 2: But I'm man enough to say that's solely on Trump.
- 2:13:25Speaker 2: I'm not blaming anybody but Trump for that. And I
- 2:13:28Speaker 2: take a lot of crap from people because they think
- 2:13:31Speaker 2: I should be a cheerleader for him. Trump made a
- 2:13:32Speaker 2: horrible decision in going into Iran and engaging in this.
- 2:13:38Speaker 2: He miscalculated the whole thing. And this idea that we'll
- 2:13:43Speaker 2: bomb him some more and that'll bring him into submission,
- 2:13:45Speaker 2: I don't see any evidence that that's going to work.
- 2:13:48Speaker 2: And the reality is... It can get a lot worse.
- 2:13:51Speaker 2: Wars can escalate even more. And oil prices can go
- 2:13:56Speaker 2: way up because we're running out of oil in our
- 2:13:59Speaker 2: strategic reserves. And we could see higher inflation, higher energy
- 2:14:04Speaker 2: costs because of this stupidity that's going on in Iran.
- 2:14:08Speaker 6: In my opinion, there's something worse than that, Ron. The
- 2:14:13Speaker 6: rest of the world look at us, and they look
- 2:14:14Speaker 6: at a two-tier system because of these Epstein files. If
- 2:14:18Speaker 6: you got money, you can do whatever you want to
- 2:14:20Speaker 6: do to anybody and get away with it.
- 2:14:22Speaker 2: I agree with that. I totally agree with that, too.
- 2:14:24Speaker 6: No, you agree with me, man. We better get off
- 2:14:26Speaker 6: the phone. We agree. This ain't going to work, man.
- 2:14:27Speaker 2: Okay, goodbye. You're on air. Hi.
- 2:14:33Speaker 6: Hi.
- 2:14:34Speaker 11: Okay, I got two things that have been bugging me.
- 2:14:39Speaker 11: It's like common sense. When Joe Biden was in office,
- 2:14:46Speaker 11: we had a pandemic. And for health reasons of the country,
- 2:14:52Speaker 11: he told us all to mask up. And did he
- 2:14:56Speaker 11: help 10 million Americans in a crisis like that? Or
- 2:15:02Speaker 11: 10 million people from another country be brought in with
- 2:15:07Speaker 11: any kind of disease and everything like that? And that's
- 2:15:12Speaker 11: why they have ICE now, because they're trying to correct
- 2:15:16Speaker 11: the problem.
- 2:15:17Speaker 2: Right, right, right. Well, I agree with that. My criticism,
- 2:15:21Speaker 2: I'm only saying if I think ICE officers should wear uniforms.
- 2:15:25Speaker 2: I don't believe you should stand in front of a car.
- 2:15:27Speaker 2: That should be the first thing that we instruct. Stop
- 2:15:30Speaker 2: trying to be a human shield in front of a car.
- 2:15:32Speaker 2: It's a bad idea. And secondly, I believe ICE officers
- 2:15:36Speaker 2: should wear uniforms like cops do so they're easily recognizable
- 2:15:39Speaker 2: to the people that are there. That's my suggestion.
- 2:15:43Speaker 11: One more quick thing. I'm a senior citizen living on
- 2:15:47Speaker 11: Social Security. from 15 years ago. And there's no way
- 2:15:54Speaker 11: that the county, when they get a 26% increase in taxes,
- 2:16:01Speaker 11: that they can't give a lousy 2% back to the
- 2:16:08Speaker 11: senior citizens at least. They don't have to try to
- 2:16:11Speaker 11: go for a whole shebang and give 100% of taxes off.
- 2:16:17Speaker 11: I mean, it's ridiculous because they kill the bill right
- 2:16:20Speaker 11: off the bat when they do that. Instead of, just
- 2:16:24Speaker 11: give a little bit back. I mean, it's not going
- 2:16:26Speaker 11: to hurt them.
- 2:16:26Speaker 6: Nope.
- 2:16:27Speaker 11: We got a 26% increase. How the heck is that
- 2:16:31Speaker 11: going to favor with a 2% increase that we got
- 2:16:35Speaker 11: from Social Security?
- 2:16:37Speaker 2: All right. I'm in agreement with you. Listen, how much
- 2:16:40Speaker 2: do you get a month in Social Security?
- 2:16:42Speaker 11: $ 2, 500. $ 2, 500.
- 2:16:44Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's what he gets a month. And all
- 2:16:47Speaker 2: of you greedy-ass politicians who don't understand the cuts that
- 2:16:52Speaker 2: you have to make. And incidentally, on this next reappraisals
- 2:16:56Speaker 2: that are coming around, your government entity can decline forever.
- 2:17:01Speaker 2: the reappraisal. They have the ability to say no to
- 2:17:05Speaker 2: this so your taxes won't go up. We shall see
- 2:17:09Speaker 2: who's all talk and who's action. This will be another
- 2:17:14Speaker 2: defining moment for our area politicians because if they care
- 2:17:19Speaker 2: about you and their constituents, they will decline the increase
- 2:17:24Speaker 2: and you won't suffer another significant increase, okay?
- 2:17:29Speaker 11: And these new Democrat politicians, if they cared about our country,
- 2:17:33Speaker 11: they'd be fighting drugs and crime. They're out there screaming
- 2:17:38Speaker 11: about keeping their jobs.
- 2:17:39Speaker 2: Thank you. I'll be back.
- 2:17:44Speaker 25: We've got a double jackpot alert. There's over a billion

- 2:18:14Speaker 13: My name is Whitney Allen, and I'm a widow.
- 2:18:16Speaker 7: News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 2:18:19Speaker 2: All right, and we're on verb 554. The Guardians game
- 2:18:25Speaker 2: is postponed because of smoke tonight. Can you imagine that?
- 2:18:30Speaker 2: They're going to play a doubleheader tomorrow, a split doubleheader tomorrow.
- 2:18:34Speaker 2: But the Guardians game was postponed not because of rain
- 2:18:38Speaker 2: or inclement weather, but because of smoke from Canada. I mean,
- 2:18:43Speaker 2: it's pretty intense yesterday and today. Isn't that amazing? I
- 2:18:48Speaker 2: sit back really in amazement. These wildfires from Canada and
- 2:18:53Speaker 2: just the thick, almost fog-like smoke that we have in
- 2:18:58Speaker 2: our area. It's really something. I mean, you can see it.
- 2:19:03Speaker 2: You can kind of smell it from the wildfires. That's
- 2:19:07Speaker 2: a lot of smoke, man. And so, you know, whether
- 2:19:11Speaker 2: you're in Youngstown or Cleveland or Akron or Sandusky or
- 2:19:15Speaker 2: anywhere around, you see all the pictures of the smoke
- 2:19:19Speaker 2: and how thick it is from the wildfires. So because
- 2:19:22Speaker 2: of that, which is strange to me, you know, you
- 2:19:25Speaker 2: can't play baseball because of smoke? Isn't that interesting? My
- 2:19:33Speaker 2: wife on Tuesday evening, my wife has the nose of
- 2:19:38Speaker 2: a bloodhound. I mean, it's amazing. It's absolutely amazing. And
- 2:19:45Speaker 2: she said she could smell timber burning on Tuesday night.
- 2:19:49Speaker 2: I said, what? But you can see all of this.
- 2:19:58Speaker 2: So she thought people were just burning wood and that
- 2:20:00Speaker 2: kind of stuff, but this was the timber burning, you know,
- 2:20:02Speaker 2: the smell of smoke from Canada. But to see that...
- 2:20:08Speaker 2: how thick that smoke is, and to be able to
- 2:20:12Speaker 2: smell it. Yesterday and today. So the Guardians postponed their
- 2:20:18Speaker 2: game because of smoke. What makes them think it's going
- 2:20:20Speaker 2: to be gone tomorrow? I mean, will the wildfires be
- 2:20:23Speaker 2: out by then? I mean, is the air currents going
- 2:20:27Speaker 2: to change? I don't know. And why can't you play
- 2:20:30Speaker 2: baseball because you have smoke? Why is that a big deal?
- 2:20:33Speaker 2: It's like you can't see the ball. What's the deal?
- 2:20:36Speaker 2: Why do you cancel a game for that? I want answers.
- 2:20:39Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 2:20:42Speaker 6: Hello.
- 2:20:42Speaker 11: Hello.
- 2:20:45Speaker 2: Hello.
- 2:20:46Speaker 6: Hello.
- 2:20:46Speaker 2: Hello.
- 2:20:49Speaker 9: Yeah, I just seen you.
- 2:20:50Speaker 37: I felt bad for you standing out there just waiting
- 2:20:52Speaker 37: and waiting.
- 2:20:54Speaker 23: I seen the bus stop sign, but I don't know bus.
- 2:20:56Speaker 6: Schedule, so no idea.
- 2:20:59Speaker 22: All right.
- 2:21:01Speaker 2: You talking to me? Hello?
- 2:21:07Speaker 6: You have water and a drink and everything?
- 2:21:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:21:09Speaker 6: Do you need anything? No.
- 2:21:10Speaker 2: No.
- 2:21:11Speaker 7: Do you need food?
- 2:21:13Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 2:21:14Speaker 4: No.
- 2:21:14Speaker 6: I'll get you some food if you want some.
- 2:21:17Speaker 2: Well, give me a hamburger. You'll go swinging over to Swenson's.
- 2:21:22Speaker 2: Take a double cheeseburger.
- 2:21:27Speaker 37: If you want something to eat, I'll get you some.
- 2:21:29Speaker 11: All right. Let me know.
- 2:21:32Speaker 14: All right.
- 2:21:33Speaker 2: I told you I wanted a Swenson burger. This guy
- 2:21:39Speaker 2: called the program and he's talking to some homeless guy
- 2:21:41Speaker 2: or something. He's not even paying attention. Well, now he
- 2:21:48Speaker 2: hangs up. You're on the air. Running out of time.
- 2:21:53Speaker 2: Make it quick.
- 2:21:55Speaker 6: Hello?
- 2:21:56Speaker 2: Yes, speak your piece.
- 2:21:59Speaker 37: Yeah, I was going to give you some information about
- 2:22:00Speaker 37: the wildfires.
- 2:22:02Speaker 14: I looked it up.
- 2:22:04Speaker 37: It's 2,200 acres burning up in Canada, and it's burning
- 2:22:08Speaker 37: 2,200 fires, and it's burning 42 million acres of forest
- 2:22:14Speaker 37: fire up there.
- 2:22:16Speaker 2: In Canada?
- 2:22:18Speaker 5: Yep.
- 2:22:18Speaker 37: It's all over the Canadian province.
- 2:22:25Speaker 2: For that last caller that was going to get that
- 2:22:27Speaker 2: guy some food, my buddy wants a pizza if you
- 2:22:29Speaker 2: could drop it by his house.
- 2:22:31Speaker 29: Okay.
- 2:22:32Speaker 2: Go ahead. So it's 2,200 different fires?
- 2:22:36Speaker 37: Yeah, it's all east of the Rockies, middle of Canada,
- 2:22:41Speaker 37: all the way over to the coast of Canada. And
- 2:22:44Speaker 37: it's approximately 42 million acres.
- 2:22:47Speaker 2: No wonder we got all this smoke, right?
- 2:22:49Speaker 5: That's exactly right.
- 2:22:51Speaker 37: And I don't think it's going to be going anywhere
- 2:22:53Speaker 37: anytime soon.
- 2:22:54Speaker 2: All right. Thank you for the information. Stay tuned. Sean
- 2:22:57Speaker 2: Hannity's next. Have a wonderful weekend. Ron Verp from the
- 2:22:59Speaker 2: Kingdom of Mahoning. Good night. I know that.
