- 0:05Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the right time. A wave original.
- 0:10Speaker 1: My name is Beaumont Jones. Thanks for listening wherever you
- 0:12Speaker 1: get your podcast. Thanks for watching us on YouTube. Subscribe, like,
- 0:17Speaker 1: rate us, review us, give us five stars. You only
- 0:19Speaker 1: give us four stars. I'm inclined to believe you are
- 0:22Speaker 1: a hater. We are coming off the first weekend of
- 0:25Speaker 1: college football. This is also the first time that in
- 0:28Speaker 1: spite of a federal holiday on Monday, we still giving
- 0:30Speaker 1: y'all three episodes. You're welcome.
- 0:35Speaker 2: It's love.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I promise. Anyway, a lot of college football. We got
- 0:39Speaker 1: some Michael Parsons. After I had a little more time
- 0:41Speaker 1: to think about Michael Parsons, had some more stuff to say.
- 0:44Speaker 1: We will get to that. But I've got to tell you,
- 0:47Speaker 1: if you listen to our college football preview episode with
- 0:50Speaker 1: me and Spencer Hall, got to tell you guys, man,
- 0:53Speaker 1: we did a lot of being right. Like, it's not
- 0:56Speaker 1: really often that that happens, right? I'm not so much
- 0:59Speaker 1: patting myself on the back. Yes, I am. But I'm
- 1:01Speaker 1: just saying, like, I don't really get to do that
- 1:04Speaker 1: very much. I'll come out here and tell you when
- 1:06Speaker 1: I was wrong, like I will when we talk a
- 1:08Speaker 1: little bit about Micah Parsons, because I sure didn't think
- 1:10Speaker 1: they was going to trade him. However, the college football stuff,
- 1:13Speaker 1: we were right. But in some ways, not only were
- 1:16Speaker 1: we more right than I expected us to be right,
- 1:19Speaker 1: in some cases, we were righter than I wanted to be.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Case in point, we were righter than I wanted to be. Uh,
- 1:26Speaker 1: North Carolina got a national television game on Monday night,
- 1:31Speaker 1: on Labor Day, playing at home against TCU. I am
- 1:37Speaker 1: 45 years old. I don't think that there's ever been
- 1:40Speaker 1: a time in my life that this many people watched
- 1:44Speaker 1: a North Carolina football game on purpose. I don't think so.
- 1:52Speaker 1: The only other time it could have come close to
- 1:54Speaker 1: that is a game that Ryan probably remembers, which was
- 1:57Speaker 1: the game that North Carolina played against LSU to start
- 2:00Speaker 1: the season in 2010. You were there, right? When North
- 2:02Speaker 1: Carolina didn't have any players left because of all the
- 2:06Speaker 1: NCAA stuff, and Les still almost found a way to
- 2:10Speaker 1: lose that game.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Still almost lost that game.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Almost.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Carolina dropped three touchdowns, I believe, at the end of
- 2:15Speaker 1: that game.
- 2:17Speaker 2: TJ Yates' best performance of his career, for sure.
- 2:21Speaker 1: And also, it was the day that I realized that
- 2:23Speaker 1: Patrick Peterson was something much different than anything that I
- 2:27Speaker 1: think I had ever seen.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I believe that was also Tyron Matthews' first college football game.
- 2:33Speaker 2: It was.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It was Tyron Matthews' first college football game. And that
- 2:37Speaker 1: whole LSU season was the entirety of the Les Miles experience.
- 2:41Speaker 1: That is also the season where, what's his name? Derek
- 2:46Speaker 1: Dooley sent 15 people out there for that last play
- 2:50Speaker 1: of the game. That is also the season where somehow, someway,
- 2:53Speaker 1: Jordan Jefferson got the first of his two victories as
- 2:57Speaker 1: starting quarterback over Nick Saban at Alabama. Yeah. The only
- 3:01Speaker 1: guy that did that.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Just the entire West experience.
- 3:06Speaker 1: But lost to Arkansas.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yeah, of course. I was Arkansas without Derek McBadden.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Yes.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Yes.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yes.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Incredible.
- 3:13Speaker 5: Okay.
- 3:14Speaker 1: A lot going on. Sorry. I'm going to get back
- 3:15Speaker 1: to North Carolina. The score was 48 to 14 in
- 3:18Speaker 1: this game. They got their asses kicked. Now, let me
- 3:20Speaker 1: tell you what I think was interesting, though, about watching this.
- 3:24Speaker 1: I could make the argument that this is a very
- 3:26Speaker 1: encouraging outcome for Carolina fans while also being a very
- 3:30Speaker 1: terrifying outcome for what is going to happen in the
- 3:33Speaker 1: course of this season. Look. I need everybody to understand
- 3:38Speaker 1: how badly I wanted North Carolina to win this game. Now,
- 3:41Speaker 1: as many of you know, I went to graduate school
- 3:44Speaker 1: at North Carolina, and I hate Duke basketball like they
- 3:47Speaker 1: did something to me personally. However, my desire to see
- 3:50Speaker 1: North Carolina win this game had nothing to do with
- 3:54Speaker 1: either of those things. If you listen to this show
- 3:57Speaker 1: and you know me just a little bit, You know
- 3:59Speaker 1: the biggest reason I wanted North Carolina to win this game.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I wanted them to win this game just to spite
- 4:05Speaker 1: Joel from Missouri City. That is the only reason I
- 4:08Speaker 1: wanted them to win this game. I wanted to be
- 4:11Speaker 1: able to talk that shit to Joel like nobody's business.
- 4:14Speaker 1: I was already preparing to say that apparently TCU, they
- 4:17Speaker 1: like the hostesses. They like the welcoming committee. You know
- 4:20Speaker 1: what I'm saying? A new star shows up on the
- 4:23Speaker 1: block and TCU show them around and make sure they
- 4:25Speaker 1: have a good time just like they did for Deion Sanders.
- 4:28Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? I was ready for that.
- 4:31Speaker 1: And if you watch that first drive that Carolina had,
- 4:34Speaker 1: it looked like that was exactly what was about to happen.
- 4:37Speaker 1: That little bitty quarterback was out there making throws. They
- 4:39Speaker 1: was running the ball. All of that was going down.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I was like, hell yeah, Joe going to get even
- 4:45Speaker 1: sicker of me than he already is. You know what
- 4:47Speaker 1: I'm saying? No, no, no, he wasn't. He wasn't at all.
- 4:51Speaker 1: He wasn't. Carolina had, they had everybody at that game, bro.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Carolina had, see, this is one thing about Carolina, by
- 4:58Speaker 1: the way, even with football, They can go high level star.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Like when they went to shock and awe with high
- 5:04Speaker 1: level stars, they can do it on a special level, right?
- 5:08Speaker 1: Michael Jordan pulled up, Roy Williams pulled up, Pep pulled up,
- 5:11Speaker 1: LT pulled up. They had the clip of LT, Roy,
- 5:16Speaker 1: and Michael Jordan in the box. And I'm just imagining
- 5:20Speaker 1: it being Roy Williams in the course of that. Because
- 5:22Speaker 1: Roy know how to talk to Mike. Roy and Mike
- 5:25Speaker 1: have known each other for 45 years. I don't really
- 5:30Speaker 1: know what it's like when Roy talked to LT. I
- 5:34Speaker 1: don't know what it's like when anybody talks to LT.
- 5:38Speaker 1: I imagine that everybody wants to get out of talking
- 5:41Speaker 1: about politics. But anyway, those cats were there. Randy Moss
- 5:45Speaker 1: was there in the box with the first little lady
- 5:49Speaker 1: of North Carolina football. It was all there. And they
- 5:54Speaker 1: just watched them boys after that first drive get hammered.
- 5:58Speaker 1: They just watched them boys get destroyed. I don't know
- 6:00Speaker 1: who wears number 29 for North Carolina, but they're going
- 6:03Speaker 1: to call that boy toast because he was just out
- 6:06Speaker 1: there getting fired up. Carolina fans will probably evoke the
- 6:09Speaker 1: name of a dude named Jordan Hemby when they talk
- 6:12Speaker 1: about him because everybody knows that corner that gets lit
- 6:16Speaker 1: on fire. No matter what team you root for, I've
- 6:19Speaker 1: said this many times, and y'all gonna get in these
- 6:21Speaker 1: YouTube comments on this and say exactly what I'm talking about.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Go ahead and put down that corner that your team
- 6:26Speaker 1: had that just stayed getting his ass fired up. That
- 6:29Speaker 1: was number 29 in the course of that game, man.
- 6:32Speaker 1: It was just happening. They were destroyed. And here's where
- 6:38Speaker 1: I come from on this. One, I saw great room
- 6:44Speaker 1: for encouragement early in that game and the reason i
- 6:49Speaker 1: saw great room for encouragement early in that game was
- 6:53Speaker 1: i thought that carolina looked very well coached especially on
- 7:01Speaker 1: offense i saw a quarterback who dropped back and kept
- 7:04Speaker 1: his head up and moved pretty well in the pocket
- 7:07Speaker 1: which is pretty impressive considering he was without question the
- 7:11Speaker 1: shortest man on the offense okay um When they ran
- 7:16Speaker 1: the ball, it looked like an offensive line that was
- 7:19Speaker 1: well-coordinated and did the things that they needed to do, right?
- 7:23Speaker 1: I had serious questions about Bill Belichick and the big
- 7:28Speaker 1: brain brand of football that he coaches, how well or
- 7:32Speaker 1: easily he would be able to teach those things to
- 7:37Speaker 1: college players. And I think it's entirely possible that something
- 7:41Speaker 1: that Belichick probably enjoys about this job is that it
- 7:44Speaker 1: is more of a teaching job. Like he might be
- 7:46Speaker 1: a Larry Brown type who, yeah, could coach in the pros,
- 7:49Speaker 1: but what he really loves to do is get in
- 7:50Speaker 1: there and teach. And now he has a better opportunity
- 7:53Speaker 1: to teach. And so. For me, that is very encouraging
- 7:57Speaker 1: if you're a Carolina fan, that this looks like a
- 8:01Speaker 1: well-coached team. We're going to talk about Alabama a little
- 8:04Speaker 1: bit later. That looked like a poorly coached team. That's
- 8:06Speaker 1: when you get terrified, right? This looked like a well-coached team.
- 8:12Speaker 1: The problem is, I looked up at one of those
- 8:16Speaker 1: plays in the first half, and I forget what run
- 8:19Speaker 1: and play TCU called Like I'm going to be able
- 8:22Speaker 1: to tell you exactly what the run and play was.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Let me stop pretending. Brother, them boys moved furniture. They
- 8:31Speaker 1: picked that Carolina defensive line up and moved them the
- 8:35Speaker 1: hell out of the way. they looked really light in
- 8:40Speaker 1: the ass at the line of scrimmage on defense. And
- 8:45Speaker 1: if you read the ESPN.com article about the program, you
- 8:49Speaker 1: will understand. They had 70 new players, and it's amazing
- 8:52Speaker 1: that they got 70 players because they were, I don't know,
- 8:55Speaker 1: I was about to use an ethnically inappropriate reference to
- 9:00Speaker 1: what it was like when everything got first started there
- 9:03Speaker 1: at Carolina, but imagine that it was like a fire
- 9:05Speaker 1: drill with no plan. Yeah.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Speaking of fire drills with no plan, I just pulled
- 9:11Speaker 2: up UNC's football coaching staff, and I want to read
- 9:15Speaker 2: some names off for you.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Yes.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Obviously, you know, Bill Belichick, the head coach. Michael Lombardi,
- 9:21Speaker 2: the general manager. His son, Matt Lombardi, quarterback's coach. Freddie
- 9:26Speaker 2: Kitchens is the offensive coordinator.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Yes.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Not one, but two Belichicks are on the defensive side.
- 9:33Speaker 2: And also, to go back to the top of the show,
- 9:36Speaker 2: Manny Miles, Wes's son, is an offensive assistant.
- 9:39Speaker 4: Ooh, really?
- 9:40Speaker 1: Yeah. On purpose?
- 9:45Speaker 2: Sounds like it.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Wow.
- 9:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:47Speaker 1: So Freddie Kitchens was on the staff last year. And
- 9:52Speaker 1: I feel like this is probably a job that Freddie
- 9:54Speaker 1: Kitchens could do, like coaching the college. You know, something
- 9:57Speaker 1: he could probably handle and get done. But they got
- 10:00Speaker 1: to get players. So I think it was David Hale
- 10:03Speaker 1: and Andrea Adelson. They have a very interesting story about
- 10:08Speaker 1: the beginning of the Belichick era. And one thing that
- 10:11Speaker 1: happened was these guys let their hubris get in the
- 10:13Speaker 1: way They basically fired everybody before they showed up and
- 10:17Speaker 1: were like, yeah, we need to keep things lean. But
- 10:20Speaker 1: the arrogance that it took for you to do that
- 10:23Speaker 1: without having any idea what college coaching is or what
- 10:25Speaker 1: the whole job was or anything like that, they knew nothing.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Nothing about what to do. But they got like their
- 10:32Speaker 1: examples in that article about recruits coming in for visits
- 10:35Speaker 1: and sitting in offices for like an hour and never
- 10:38Speaker 1: actually getting to meet Bill Belichick. Like they fired the
- 10:41Speaker 1: people whose jobs it was to do things like book
- 10:44Speaker 1: plane tickets. And so they had to go back and
- 10:45Speaker 1: hire people like in the short run just because they
- 10:48Speaker 1: had no idea what it was that they were doing.
- 10:51Speaker 1: And it sounded like slowly they were able to get
- 10:53Speaker 1: things back up to speed. But they turned over 70
- 10:56Speaker 1: spots on the roster, and it doesn't look like they
- 10:58Speaker 1: turned them over and got better. Don't forget this team
- 11:01Speaker 1: last year, for example, had Amarion Hampton, running back, who's
- 11:05Speaker 1: probably going to run for a bunch of yards this year.
- 11:07Speaker 1: I think he plays for the Chargers. That guy ain't there.
- 11:11Speaker 1: That quarterback, he looks very talented, but my goodness, he
- 11:14Speaker 1: is a diminutive fellow. Watching them get pushed around, you realize,
- 11:19Speaker 1: oh man, they don't have the guys. Maybe they'll have
- 11:21Speaker 1: the guys next year. Maybe they'll figure it out. But
- 11:24Speaker 1: like your general manager is a guy that doesn't know
- 11:26Speaker 1: anything about college football. A lot of these guys that
- 11:29Speaker 1: you got on staff, like Steve Belichick spent a year
- 11:31Speaker 1: at Washington. He's the defensive coordinator. But that was a year,
- 11:35Speaker 1: just a year. And I want to say this also
- 11:38Speaker 1: to you, Steve Belichick. If you're so insistent about having
- 11:41Speaker 1: that goddamn mullet, don't tie it up. Be that guy.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Let it hang. Or get a fucking haircut. Look, look, look, look, look, look, look.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I ain't gonna lie, man. The thing that makes me
- 11:51Speaker 1: wonder if Bill Belichick got what it takes to coach
- 11:53Speaker 1: college players is he can't even get his son to
- 11:55Speaker 1: get a decent, reputable haircut. I don't know what he
- 11:57Speaker 1: gonna tell these other kids. But I digress. They don't
- 12:02Speaker 1: have the guys. But to get on television like that
- 12:05Speaker 1: and to get embarrassed, I can't. It was the absolute opposite.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Like worst case scenario for what North Carolina hopes for
- 12:12Speaker 1: Under those circumstances, this is a chance that they're going
- 12:14Speaker 1: to have eyeballs on them like they probably will not
- 12:17Speaker 1: again anytime soon. I don't know what exactly it's going
- 12:20Speaker 1: to take to turn this around. Belichick in the pregame
- 12:23Speaker 1: interviews was talking about how we're not close to good,
- 12:25Speaker 1: but he could see that we're getting there. The problems
- 12:27Speaker 1: with that team do not seem to be problems that
- 12:29Speaker 1: are going to be fixed with more practice. They're going
- 12:32Speaker 1: to need to get some ringers. You need to go
- 12:35Speaker 1: out here and find some guys. Hey, man, it looked
- 12:38Speaker 1: like you might be able to get some dudes from,
- 12:40Speaker 1: I don't know, Western Salem State, North Carolina Central, Elon.
- 12:43Speaker 1: They look like they got some guys that might be
- 12:45Speaker 1: able to play for y'all. I just didn't think that
- 12:48Speaker 1: it just did not look like they had the talent
- 12:50Speaker 1: that is going to be necessary to compete in the ACC. Man,
- 12:55Speaker 1: they might lose to Duke.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Like, I don't... They got to play Clemson in a
- 13:01Speaker 2: few weeks.
- 13:02Speaker 1: They do have to play. And by the way, that
- 13:04Speaker 1: was another team that didn't look like the talent was
- 13:06Speaker 1: quite what people told me it was. For sure.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I mean, that was majorly to double A compared to
- 13:13Speaker 2: watching UNC get pushed around last night.
- 13:15Speaker 1: That is correct. No, no, don't get me wrong. You're right.
- 13:19Speaker 1: You're not wrong. And let me tell you something else, Ryan.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I don't know if anything going to hurt Bill Belichick's
- 13:23Speaker 1: ego more than losing a game to a coach like
- 13:27Speaker 1: Dabo Swinney.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, it is. That is going to be he's
- 13:32Speaker 2: going to learn why college football is different than pro football. Very,
- 13:36Speaker 2: very quickly.
- 13:36Speaker 1: You and I have talked before. I think we're talking
- 13:38Speaker 1: with Spencer about this before we record a college football
- 13:41Speaker 1: preview about the game that ended the Urban Meyer era
- 13:45Speaker 1: at Florida. And it was that game against LSU where
- 13:48Speaker 1: less was going forward.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Again, 2010.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Yes, the crazy 2010 season of LSU. They were going
- 13:55Speaker 1: for it on fourth down, doing crazy stuff. Was that
- 13:58Speaker 1: the one? Yeah, that was the one where the holder
- 14:00Speaker 1: threw the fake field.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Goal over the shoulder.
- 14:02Speaker 1: That's right, it bounced. It bounced backwards. The kicker picked
- 14:06Speaker 1: it up. And when they asked Urban about it after
- 14:09Speaker 1: the game, all he could do was wave the question
- 14:11Speaker 1: off because he could not discuss the idea that that
- 14:15Speaker 1: meathead had in some form or fashion outcoached him. This
- 14:21Speaker 1: just couldn't handle the idea. Dabo Sweeney, who is an
- 14:26Speaker 1: absolute Hall of Famer as a head coach and done
- 14:29Speaker 1: an amazing job at Clemson, but he didn't do it
- 14:32Speaker 1: with the brain, okay? That's not how he got it done.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Bill Belichick is going to have to deal with guys
- 14:38Speaker 1: like that beating him. The Bill Belichick who owns Mike
- 14:43Speaker 1: Tomlin is going to have to deal with getting cooked
- 14:46Speaker 1: by the likes of Dabo Sweeney Sonny Dykes, because that
- 14:51Speaker 1: just happened. He just got it from Sonny Dykes. Like,
- 14:56Speaker 1: oh boy, it's not going to be the easiest year
- 14:58Speaker 1: for the man. It's not. It's not. And all I
- 15:03Speaker 1: needed him to do was beat Joel to no. That's
- 15:06Speaker 1: all he had to do. That's all he had to do. Instead,
- 15:10Speaker 1: here I am offering congratulations to the biggest hater I know.
- 15:22Speaker 2: All right, guys.
- 15:23Speaker 1: So after the Micah Parsons trade, we immediately fired up
- 15:27Speaker 1: the microphones, got up here, did a quick little YouTube exclusive.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Check that out if you have not checked it out.
- 15:33Speaker 1: And I ain't going to lie, man. We just did
- 15:37Speaker 1: that for the money. You know what I'm saying? Y'all
- 15:38Speaker 1: wanted a little something right fast. I prefer to take
- 15:40Speaker 1: some time to think things out a little bit. But,
- 15:43Speaker 1: you know, we went ahead and got that bread right
- 15:45Speaker 1: fast and gave y'all that fix that y'all needed. Now,
- 15:47Speaker 1: after having a little time to think about this... I've
- 15:51Speaker 1: got thoughts in a couple of different directions, right? Thought
- 15:55Speaker 1: number one, the report came out that leading into week one,
- 16:03Speaker 1: Micah Parsons is going to need an epidural injection in
- 16:07Speaker 1: his back because of whatever is wrong with it. And Ryan,
- 16:12Speaker 1: I have to be honest, I was right there with
- 16:14Speaker 1: my buddy Dominique Foxworth where he had been talking about
- 16:16Speaker 1: how his back was hurting in camp. And we all
- 16:19Speaker 1: thought that It needed a very simple solution. If you
- 16:22Speaker 1: just rub some money on it, it was going to
- 16:24Speaker 1: get fixed. And they rubbed money on it and that
- 16:27Speaker 1: didn't work.
- 16:28Speaker 2: And still needs, I mean, when people start talking about
- 16:32Speaker 2: the back and start bringing out the L's and the C's.
- 16:35Speaker 2: You know, I know that it sounds real. Like when
- 16:37Speaker 2: they start talking about the different vertebra, that's when you
- 16:40Speaker 2: know it's serious.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Hey man, when they start talking about the C's, we
- 16:44Speaker 1: got problems, right? Like that's what it is. But apparently
- 16:46Speaker 1: he needs an epidural injection. And this is a case
- 16:49Speaker 1: where maybe I'm simply limited in my knowledge and my
- 16:52Speaker 1: understanding of what exactly is like, what all the different
- 16:55Speaker 1: kinds of epidurals are. Because the only time we hear
- 16:58Speaker 1: about an epidural is when the toughest people among us
- 17:01Speaker 1: are going through the most intense pain of their lives
- 17:04Speaker 1: And that is when they need an epidural. I never
- 17:07Speaker 1: hear that term come up. Otherwise, I don't hear that
- 17:10Speaker 1: term really come up in sports. Otherwise, and we hear
- 17:13Speaker 1: about guys going through some serious pain and Micah Parsons
- 17:16Speaker 1: needs a shot in his vertebrae in order to get
- 17:20Speaker 1: back out here to play his vertebra. Bruh, like vertebra.
- 17:24Speaker 1: See what I'm saying? Anyway, he need that shot going
- 17:27Speaker 1: into this game. On top of that, just want to
- 17:30Speaker 1: throw this out there. The Packers are paying him $ 47
- 17:36Speaker 1: million a year on this deal. Now, we had the
- 17:41Speaker 1: information on this contract. I don't want to pretend like
- 17:43Speaker 1: when we recorded before I didn't have the information, right?
- 17:46Speaker 1: I'm just a little bit more concerned with getting this
- 17:48Speaker 1: out of here. What I did not properly consider or
- 17:51Speaker 1: think about with this deal is the Packers absolutely blew
- 17:56Speaker 1: the box on this. They 100% blew the box. The
- 18:02Speaker 1: high for a non-quarterback up until that, Ryan, was what,
- 18:06Speaker 1: $ 41 million?
- 18:06Speaker 2: Yeah, TJ, I mean, we saw TJ Watt get paid.
- 18:11Speaker 2: We saw Miles Garrett get paid this offseason. So right
- 18:15Speaker 2: around $ 40, $ 41 million. And then Micah, like you said,
- 18:18Speaker 2: blows the doors off for $ 47 for four years and
- 18:21Speaker 2: $ 136 guaranteed.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Hey, man, and look, I understand that he is younger
- 18:24Speaker 1: than those other guys, but I got to be honest here.
- 18:27Speaker 1: I don't think there was any circumstance under which Jerry
- 18:29Speaker 1: Jones is going to pay him $ 47 million a year, right?
- 18:32Speaker 2: A lot of the reporting coming in that he was
- 18:35Speaker 2: offering more years for more months, like right around 41, 42,
- 18:40Speaker 2: but for five or six years, and then his agent's like,
- 18:43Speaker 2: not a chance.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely. But there's no way he was going to
- 18:46Speaker 1: be hitting for 47.
- 18:46Speaker 2: No chance.
- 18:47Speaker 1: None. No chance. No chance. I don't know how many
- 18:50Speaker 1: people would have done that, but it actually makes me
- 18:52Speaker 1: look back on this and say, I fully believe that...
- 18:58Speaker 1: This became personal for the Cowboys. This became personal for Jerry.
- 19:01Speaker 1: This became personal for Michael Parsons. And that's the biggest
- 19:04Speaker 1: reason that the deal went the way that it ultimately did.
- 19:08Speaker 1: But if Jerry had paid him $ 47 million, think of
- 19:10Speaker 1: my buddy Nick made this point. If Jerry had paid
- 19:12Speaker 1: him $ 47 million, we'd be killing Jerry for paying him
- 19:15Speaker 1: $ 47 million. Like if there was a world in which
- 19:18Speaker 1: Michael Parsons could get somebody to pay him $ 47 million,
- 19:21Speaker 1: he was going to need to do whatever kicking and
- 19:22Speaker 1: screaming he needed to do to get to that place
- 19:24Speaker 1: that was going to pay him that $ 47 million. Because
- 19:27Speaker 1: as much as we say the price for these things
- 19:29Speaker 1: kept going up and up and up, the price did
- 19:32Speaker 1: not go up to $ 47 million. It didn't. The Packers
- 19:36Speaker 1: took that price to $ 47 million. So what you're telling
- 19:39Speaker 1: me right now is that the Packers got a guy
- 19:42Speaker 1: that they just had to give an epidural and they
- 19:44Speaker 1: are paying him something in the neighborhood of like almost
- 19:49Speaker 1: $ 20 million. 20% more than what the going rate for
- 19:53Speaker 1: a player like that had been. On top of that,
- 19:59Speaker 1: Albert Breer, who works for Sports Illustrated, and of note,
- 20:04Speaker 1: Breer covered the Cowboys back in the day. So he
- 20:06Speaker 1: is somebody that I think you can trust as being
- 20:08Speaker 1: pretty well sourced around that organization. And Ryan, I had
- 20:14Speaker 1: heard this also, just not in the context of the Cowboys,
- 20:18Speaker 1: just in the general context of Micah Parsons. People don't
- 20:22Speaker 1: so much like that dude. Yeah.
- 20:25Speaker 4: They don't.
- 20:26Speaker 2: I mean, historically, people, you know, Yeah, that seemed to
- 20:31Speaker 2: be in the ether.
- 20:32Speaker 1: I've heard somewhat jaw-dropping stories about reasons there are to
- 20:36Speaker 1: not be particularly big fans of that gentleman, right? Now,
- 20:40Speaker 1: is it a bit of a smear job, right, after
- 20:43Speaker 1: he leaves? Maybe, just maybe. But what I found interesting
- 20:48Speaker 1: was apparently Dak doesn't like him very much. And by
- 20:51Speaker 1: the way, Dak is the quarterback, whether you're Michael Parsons
- 20:53Speaker 1: or not, right? Dak don't really rock with them like that,
- 20:56Speaker 1: and a big part of why the people don't rock
- 20:59Speaker 1: with them is that damn podcast. Now, I need you
- 21:02Speaker 1: to understand, I work for a company that produces podcasts
- 21:06Speaker 1: for current athletes, okay? I think it is ridiculous that
- 21:13Speaker 1: these guys do these podcasts like the podcasts that they
- 21:18Speaker 1: do during the regular season. Now, I need you to
- 21:20Speaker 1: understand that The history of active players and coaches doing
- 21:26Speaker 1: media during the season is long running, right? The coaches
- 21:29Speaker 1: show on radio, for example, and a lot of these
- 21:33Speaker 1: guys like Tom Brady did those appearances on WEEI in Boston,
- 21:37Speaker 1: for example, for all of those years. This is a
- 21:39Speaker 1: thing that happens, right? So I don't want to pretend
- 21:41Speaker 1: like people have a tendency to act like not everything
- 21:43Speaker 1: new is new, right? But what is different is these
- 21:46Speaker 1: cats sit there for like an hour at a time
- 21:49Speaker 1: and actually give their real live opinions.
- 21:52Speaker 2: I mean, Michael came out and said that Dak Prescott
- 21:54Speaker 2: wasn't a top five quarterback in the NFL on his podcast.
- 21:56Speaker 1: That was insane. You never say, hey man, it's just
- 22:02Speaker 1: how I feel. Who gives a fuck if it's just
- 22:04Speaker 1: how you feel? What are you talking about? you don't
- 22:08Speaker 1: do that. It is crazy that into me that any
- 22:13Speaker 1: of these guys do these shows. I just can't for
- 22:16Speaker 1: money that I can't believe is worth it. Right. I just, I,
- 22:20Speaker 1: I personally don't get it. Right. Like I'll say this
- 22:23Speaker 1: for the Kelsey brothers who do not do a show
- 22:25Speaker 1: for this company.
- 22:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I don't ever get the feeling they talk about anything
- 22:30Speaker 1: that matters that much.
- 22:32Speaker 2: No, they're, they're out there having a good time.
- 22:34Speaker 1: They're out.
- 22:34Speaker 2: They're not, they're not out there giving their, um, Trying
- 22:38Speaker 2: to break the Internet with their takes.
- 22:39Speaker 1: No, I've never. The only time I've seen them do
- 22:42Speaker 1: it is when they acted like what was it when
- 22:44Speaker 1: they asked what position in the NFL was the hardest
- 22:46Speaker 1: to play. And Jason Kelsey said it was defensive back
- 22:48Speaker 1: because it was so hard. They don't even let white
- 22:50Speaker 1: guys try to do it anymore. That was that's that's
- 22:54Speaker 1: the greatest moment in the history of that podcast. As
- 22:56Speaker 1: far as I am concerned. But no, man, you can't.
- 23:01Speaker 1: It blows my mind that he or anybody else does
- 23:06Speaker 1: one of these shows. Now, to tie this back to
- 23:09Speaker 1: what the original point is, All I'm saying in sum
- 23:12Speaker 1: total is I got a little bit of a better
- 23:15Speaker 1: idea how it is in the end this dude wound
- 23:18Speaker 1: up going somewhere else. Now, typically, a guy as good
- 23:21Speaker 1: as he is, man, you find a way and you
- 23:23Speaker 1: make it work. And I think we all understand that, right?
- 23:26Speaker 1: As good as Parsons is, you typically put up with whatever.
- 23:30Speaker 1: But money-wise, at what point was it that you were
- 23:34Speaker 1: going to stop? And I think that no matter what
- 23:36Speaker 1: had happened, that point was going to be somewhere before
- 23:39Speaker 1: $ 47 million, right? The Packers are paying a gigantic price
- 23:46Speaker 1: for this, and they just had to stick a needle
- 23:50Speaker 1: deep in the dude's back. Like this trade doesn't look,
- 23:55Speaker 1: it was so shocking and stunning when it first happened,
- 23:58Speaker 1: but it doesn't look nearly as crazy to me right
- 24:04Speaker 1: now as it did at the time. Like the Luca
- 24:07Speaker 1: trade for me is interesting because it looks crazier for
- 24:11Speaker 1: me as time goes on than it did at the time.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Even if I halfway understand why they did it, this
- 24:17Speaker 1: one dies down for me. Like it doesn't, it doesn't
- 24:21Speaker 1: look nearly as bonkers when you put everything together in
- 24:28Speaker 1: some total. Now, of course, if the Green Bay Packers
- 24:30Speaker 1: win the Super Bowl, which is entirely possible, then, you know,
- 24:34Speaker 1: this is what it's going to be. Now, of course,
- 24:36Speaker 1: they have to play against America's team in week one.
- 24:40Speaker 1: And those of us, hashtag one pride, like we expect
- 24:47Speaker 1: the Packers to get an understanding of how difficult this
- 24:49Speaker 1: is going to be for them. even if they have
- 24:52Speaker 1: Micah Parsons on the team. But let's watch and see
- 24:57Speaker 1: how all of this goes for everybody.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Right.
- 25:01Speaker 1: It's going to make the noise around the Cowboys much louder.
- 25:06Speaker 1: But let's also see what the noise around Micah Parsons
- 25:09Speaker 1: is now that he's up there. Now that he's making
- 25:13Speaker 1: all of that money. And by the way, now that
- 25:16Speaker 1: he's playing for a team that doesn't believe that all
- 25:20Speaker 1: publicity is good publicity in the way that his last
- 25:23Speaker 1: team did. Yeah. This NFL season is going to be messy, right?
- 25:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it's coming at the exact right time. I mean,
- 25:36Speaker 2: Mike getting traded a week before the season. I mean,
- 25:38Speaker 2: I was excited already, but Mike getting is, you know,
- 25:42Speaker 2: what content dreams are made of, if you will.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Nothing will be crazier than if the Cowboys somehow beat
- 25:47Speaker 1: the Eagles on Thursday night and then the Lions come
- 25:51Speaker 1: out there and beat the Packers by two touchdowns.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Yeah, that will fuel the take engine for sure.
- 25:59Speaker 1: That would be great for business. And speaking of business, Ryan,
- 26:03Speaker 1: you got any DraftKings information for us?
- 26:06Speaker 2: I sure do. NFL fans, week one is your shot
- 26:09Speaker 2: to play free and stack a million dollar cash bag
- 26:11Speaker 2: with DraftKings Pick 6, an official partner of the NFL.
- 26:15Speaker 2: You can download the DraftKings Pick 6 app, DraftKings' easiest
- 26:19Speaker 2: way to play fantasy. Speaking of this Eagles-Cowboys game, I
- 26:23Speaker 2: like Saquon Barkley to score a touchdown in that. I
- 26:27Speaker 2: think the Cowboys' run defense, even with Kenny Clark there,
- 26:29Speaker 2: is going to struggle. And I like CeeDee Lamb to
- 26:32Speaker 2: score a touchdown because they're going to have to throw
- 26:35Speaker 2: the ball a lot for them to have any chance.
- 26:39Speaker 2: You can download the DraftKings Pick 6 app, use code BOMANI,

- 27:33Speaker 2: to the stories that happened this weekend. Alabama lost big
- 27:37Speaker 2: 31-17 to Florida State. As Spencer Hall and you guys
- 27:42Speaker 2: talked about before the season, you guys mentioned the possibility
- 27:46Speaker 2: that this could get ugly in Alabama, and it looks
- 27:49Speaker 2: like it's already starting to.
- 27:51Speaker 1: The heat is on. It's on the streets. It, it, it, it. Look.
- 27:59Speaker 1: It's one thing that the heat is on. It's another
- 28:03Speaker 1: thing that it's week one, and it looked like the
- 28:05Speaker 1: heat was on. Like, you looked at Canem DeBoer on
- 28:08Speaker 1: the sideline, and that stress was getting him. Now, I
- 28:12Speaker 1: have been talking about this for years. Some of you
- 28:16Speaker 1: have been hearing me. It's really me talking to those
- 28:20Speaker 1: of you who, quite honestly— If you're under 35 at
- 28:25Speaker 1: this point, like you could be a real live full
- 28:28Speaker 1: on adult and you just don't understand what we've been
- 28:31Speaker 1: trying to tell you, which is this is one of
- 28:34Speaker 1: the worst jobs in the country to have. There are
- 28:37Speaker 1: two kinds of people who work the job in Alabama,
- 28:39Speaker 1: legends and dudes that get run out of town. There
- 28:43Speaker 1: really isn't any in between Bear Bryant and Nick Saban,
- 28:47Speaker 1: both of whom who got out just ahead of the Cavalry, right?
- 28:51Speaker 1: Like if Nick Saban was about to have, they went 10-2,
- 28:54Speaker 1: I think, his last year. If he had gone through
- 28:55Speaker 1: and had a 9-3.
- 28:56Speaker 2: He was losing in the Rose Bowl to Michigan.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Yeah, but if they had a 9-3 last year with
- 29:02Speaker 1: Nick Saban, it has sounded just about the same. There
- 29:06Speaker 1: is no equity. There is no goodwill. Win forever. That
- 29:11Speaker 1: is what you've got here, all right? And so DeBoer, who,
- 29:15Speaker 1: it's a job you have to take, right? You get
- 29:17Speaker 1: offered that job, you take it. But he went from
- 29:21Speaker 1: working one of the most underrated jobs in America, which
- 29:23Speaker 1: is the job at Washington, which is a job where
- 29:27Speaker 1: we've seen a lot of coaches win a lot of
- 29:30Speaker 1: games at Washington. We saw Don James do it. I mean,
- 29:33Speaker 1: we saw Jim Lambright do it after him. We saw
- 29:35Speaker 1: Rick Neuheisel do it. We saw Kalen DeBoer do.
- 29:38Speaker 4: It, right?
- 29:38Speaker 2: Chris Peterson. Yeah.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Chris Peterson, right. We've seen guys, a lot of guys
- 29:42Speaker 1: win a lot of games there because you have access
- 29:45Speaker 1: to a lot of talent because Washington is the one
- 29:49Speaker 1: city job that is, it's the one city school that
- 29:53Speaker 1: is not a city school. They are in Seattle in
- 29:57Speaker 1: a real live city, but it still feels like you're
- 29:59Speaker 1: going to college. There's a difference between Washington and say
- 30:02Speaker 1: the University of Houston, the University of Memphis, even Georgia Tech,
- 30:06Speaker 1: which has the academic restrictions, even Miami, where you're like,
- 30:09Speaker 1: oh man, we're competing for attention in this city. That's
- 30:12Speaker 1: not how it works there at Washington. They got a
- 30:15Speaker 1: 70,000 seat stadium that they fill up. That's beautiful. All
- 30:18Speaker 1: of these things. And he went down here to this place,
- 30:21Speaker 1: the only school that expects a national championship every year.
- 30:25Speaker 1: That's where you went. And we're seeing it, man. We
- 30:29Speaker 1: are seeing it. We're hearing the rumblings come out that
- 30:33Speaker 1: the discipline level with the players ain't quite what it
- 30:36Speaker 1: needs to be.
- 30:39Speaker 2: And honestly, they looked soft. They looked soft.
- 30:42Speaker 1: They looked soft. They just lost to a team that
- 30:44Speaker 1: went 2-10. last year they had to go get not
- 30:47Speaker 1: just the quarterback from Boston College a quarterback that got
- 30:50Speaker 1: benched at Boston College and he stood up in the
- 30:52Speaker 1: offseason and said Nick Saban can't save y'all I don't
- 30:55Speaker 1: see y'all I don't see how they gonna stop me
- 30:57Speaker 1: and neither did we we did not see them stop
- 31:00Speaker 1: him hey hey hey hey guys guys guys this this
- 31:05Speaker 1: this has the potential to get a lot of worse
- 31:06Speaker 1: and they don't have a quarterback yeah That's, that's, and
- 31:11Speaker 1: that to me about DeBoer is shocking. I don't know
- 31:13Speaker 1: how you wound up, especially in this day and age
- 31:16Speaker 1: where you just got to go spend the money and
- 31:17Speaker 1: get a quarterback. I don't see how you ended up
- 31:19Speaker 1: with this guy.
- 31:19Speaker 2: He just brought back his old OC. He brought back Grubb.
- 31:22Speaker 2: These guys are, you know, have been together forever and,
- 31:26Speaker 2: you know, Alabama is a game where you don't get, like,
- 31:29Speaker 2: talk about goodwill. They beat Georgia last year, but you
- 31:32Speaker 2: don't get the goodwill from beating Georgia when you lose
- 31:35Speaker 2: to Vandy and you lose to Oklahoma and you lose
- 31:38Speaker 2: to Florida State, who you were favored by, by 14 points.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Yes. Hey, hey, let's look this up. Let's look this up.
- 31:43Speaker 1: All right, we got this stat. I'm sure you guys
- 31:45Speaker 1: have seen it, but it's been around. This is from
- 31:47Speaker 1: Brett McMurphy. When favored by more than 14 points, Nick
- 31:50Speaker 1: Saban was 131-2. Kalen DeBoer is 4-4. Hey, hey, hey,
- 32:00Speaker 1: let me tell you this right now. He's not going
- 32:02Speaker 1: to get fired, okay? It'll cost $ 70 million to get
- 32:07Speaker 1: him out of there per the buyout, right? He's basically
- 32:11Speaker 1: like a tenured professor. And if you've listened to this show,
- 32:14Speaker 1: you've heard me talk about what they do to tenured professors.
- 32:18Speaker 1: They figure out how to make them quit. And what
- 32:23Speaker 1: Alabama will be hoping for in all likelihood at the
- 32:27Speaker 1: end of this season is that someone offers that man
- 32:30Speaker 1: a job. Someone a little closer to home from him
- 32:34Speaker 1: looks around and says, well, how'd you like to come here?
- 32:37Speaker 1: And he jumps on the first thing smoking because of
- 32:40Speaker 1: those post Bryant, post Bryant pre-saving coaches, Ray Perkins was
- 32:44Speaker 1: not fired. He quit. Bill Curry was basically fired, but
- 32:49Speaker 1: officially he quit after going 10 and two, by the way. Okay.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Dennis Franchoni. quit. Got out of there on the first
- 33:01Speaker 1: thing smoking. They ran Gene Stallings out of that job.
- 33:04Speaker 1: I'm just telling you, Alabama does not typically have to
- 33:07Speaker 1: fire these guys. Like many of these jobs, Ryan Day
- 33:09Speaker 1: at Ohio State, for example, people are like, oh, it's
- 33:11Speaker 1: a hot seat for Ryan Day. No, no, no, no, no.
- 33:13Speaker 1: It's not a hot seat in the sense that they're
- 33:15Speaker 1: going to toss him out of it. It's a hot
- 33:16Speaker 1: seat in the sense that it's going to be very
- 33:18Speaker 1: inconvenient for him if he loses to Michigan again, but
- 33:21Speaker 1: they're not going to fire him from that. They don't
- 33:23Speaker 1: do that Alabama is the job where they get you
- 33:25Speaker 1: out of here for this stuff.
- 33:27Speaker 5: Right.
- 33:27Speaker 2: But again, even don't make your life miserable.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Right. Even then not firing. It's just going to be really,
- 33:33Speaker 1: really miserable for him. If he don't get it turned
- 33:36Speaker 1: around real fast, real, real fast. Also shout out to
- 33:42Speaker 1: Gus Malzahn, who is a man of many splendors and
- 33:47Speaker 1: many quirks and many charms. And his most amazing trick
- 33:51Speaker 1: is he can beat Alabama. There will be a day
- 33:58Speaker 1: where Auburn looks back and was like, you know, but
- 34:01Speaker 1: he would beat Alabama once every three or four years.
- 34:05Speaker 2: And that's good enough for us.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Yep.
- 34:07Speaker 2: It should be. It certainly should be.
- 34:09Speaker 1: It should be. What more can they ask? Look, I
- 34:12Speaker 1: don't know how honest you are with yourself about LSU, right?
- 34:16Speaker 2: Extremely.
- 34:17Speaker 1: But LSU is a consistent nine and a half win program.
- 34:22Speaker 1: that occasionally can win a national championship. But if you
- 34:26Speaker 1: look at it year after year, and this even applies
- 34:28Speaker 1: to the saving years, you're by and large going to
- 34:31Speaker 1: lose three games a year. It's about how it goes.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Auburn is a very similar like eight and a half,
- 34:36Speaker 1: nine win program. It's about the same. But every now
- 34:40Speaker 1: and then, everything can line up right and you're playing
- 34:42Speaker 1: for a national championship with Nick Marshall. But if you
- 34:45Speaker 1: beat Alabama every three years or so, everybody's going to
- 34:50Speaker 1: be happy. Just throwing it out there.
- 34:56Speaker 2: All right, sticking in college football and people struggling. Arch
- 34:59Speaker 2: Manning made his starting debut, national debut for a lot
- 35:03Speaker 2: of people against Ohio State. Did not go well. 17-30,
- 35:06Speaker 2: 170 yards passing, one touchdown, one interception as Texas lost
- 35:12Speaker 2: to Ohio State 14-7. Tough for Arch in front of
- 35:17Speaker 2: a big audience.
- 35:18Speaker 1: It's tough for Arch, and to a degree, the surrounding
- 35:22Speaker 1: hype has been wildly unfair. Right? And again, I don't
- 35:28Speaker 1: understand this because he's not even Peyton's... First of all,
- 35:31Speaker 1: first of all, there was Archie Manning and there was
- 35:35Speaker 1: Peyton Manning. That other boy should not even be involved
- 35:38Speaker 1: in this conversation. And that other boy ain't even this
- 35:40Speaker 1: boy's daddy. You see what I'm saying? You understand where
- 35:44Speaker 1: I'm coming from here? Like, we're doing this to the
- 35:47Speaker 1: young man. And... He, from what I see, he has
- 35:52Speaker 1: picture-perfect mechanics. He is very, very athletic. He doesn't seem
- 35:57Speaker 1: to be that good yet, right? Like, he is a
- 36:00Speaker 1: five-star recruit. I will say that. Like, you look at him.
- 36:03Speaker 1: This is not the greatest quarterback we have seen since blank.
- 36:07Speaker 1: This isn't even truly the most hyped quarterback we've seen
- 36:09Speaker 1: since blank. Jameis Winston and Johnny Manziel won Heisman trophies
- 36:12Speaker 1: as freshmen. You're telling me that there was more hype
- 36:14Speaker 1: around Arch Manning than there was about those guys coming back?
- 36:19Speaker 1: You understand what I'm saying? You're telling me there was
- 36:22Speaker 1: more hype around them than Caleb Williams coming back after
- 36:25Speaker 1: winning the Heisman Trophy?
- 36:27Speaker 2: Or Caleb Williams going from Oklahoma to USC at first.
- 36:30Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, come on. You're not selling me on this.
- 36:33Speaker 1: And so we built this up and it winds up
- 36:35Speaker 1: being like a pile on to the kid after the
- 36:38Speaker 1: fact when it seems that he and his granddaddy are
- 36:42Speaker 1: the most reasonable people around this. Remember when his granddaddy
- 36:44Speaker 1: said he's coming back? He'll be back in 2026? And
- 36:48Speaker 1: RJ's like, oh, I don't know where he got that from.
- 36:50Speaker 1: I know where he got that from. He know you
- 36:51Speaker 1: ain't that good yet. He knows you need the time
- 36:56Speaker 1: and he is going to need the time. And look,
- 36:59Speaker 1: Somewhat encouraging for Texas, I would say, because I think
- 37:02Speaker 1: that'll probably be the worst game that Arch plays this year.
- 37:04Speaker 1: And they only gave up 14 points on the road. Like,
- 37:07Speaker 1: I mean, if you're Ryan Day, this is not encouraging
- 37:11Speaker 1: for your- No, they.
- 37:12Speaker 2: Had one of the least explosive offenses in all of
- 37:15Speaker 2: SBS in week one. They were like about 130s.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Yeah, this ain't getting nobody off your back, right? This
- 37:21Speaker 1: is not going to do that. But this is what's
- 37:24Speaker 1: encouraging to me for North Carolina is that Matt Patricia,
- 37:28Speaker 1: who never really demonstrated himself to be a great NFL
- 37:31Speaker 1: defensive coordinator, And he's still doing that thing where he
- 37:34Speaker 1: got a pencil behind his ear, but the play sheet
- 37:36Speaker 1: is laminated. Shout out to my guy, Stu Gotts, for
- 37:40Speaker 1: pointing that out. Because if anybody knows, if anybody can
- 37:43Speaker 1: eye-spot some bullshit like that, it is absolutely Stu Gotts, right?
- 37:48Speaker 2: Game-recognized game.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Game-recognized game. That's it. What you doing with that pencil, homie?
- 37:52Speaker 1: All you going to do is stab yourself by accident.
- 37:54Speaker 1: That's all. But he was able to impart whatever his
- 37:59Speaker 1: scheme is to these college players and you saw what
- 38:03Speaker 1: he could do if you got the bodies, right? If
- 38:07Speaker 1: you've got the players, now you can make this happen.
- 38:10Speaker 1: So when Belichick gets the players, if Belichick gets the players,
- 38:14Speaker 1: then maybe you can see the scheme get implemented, right?
- 38:18Speaker 1: But for Ohio State again, they're going to need to
- 38:20Speaker 1: figure out how to score some more points. And just
- 38:23Speaker 1: a heads up, did you see Bryce Underwood for Michigan?
- 38:28Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Former LSU commit. Yeah.
- 38:38Speaker 1: I forgot about that part. My man, big George Foster.
- 38:43Speaker 1: He put the, he put a couple of clips up
- 38:45Speaker 1: on the internet of Underwood. Cause I hadn't seen them.
- 38:47Speaker 1: And I was like, Oh my goodness. That right there
- 38:52Speaker 1: is going to be a problem.
- 38:53Speaker 2: You know who another one of those highlights. you know
- 38:57Speaker 2: who um on sunday played sunday afternoon so i don't
- 38:59Speaker 2: know a lot of people saw it but uh sellers
- 39:02Speaker 2: yeah oh man.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Sellers looks like an old school excellent college quarterback i
- 39:09Speaker 1: don't know how good he's going to be in the
- 39:10Speaker 1: nfl but he looks really big really strong fast enough
- 39:14Speaker 1: it plays in south carolina.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Yeah they're they're going to have a lot of fun
- 39:18Speaker 2: because they uh they also have a big fast wide
- 39:21Speaker 2: receiver i think his name is uh Nick Harbour or
- 39:23Speaker 2: Nick Haber, um who can who looks like a track
- 39:26Speaker 2: star out there so they're gonna do a lot of
- 39:28Speaker 2: uh chucking it deep and watch sellers do something and
- 39:31Speaker 2: that's gonna be fun um but the real thing that
- 39:34Speaker 2: shocked me with arch bringing it back to that is
- 39:36Speaker 2: it's not that he he looked rattled and he missed
- 39:39Speaker 2: easy throws like throws you can spot from your couch
- 39:43Speaker 2: like wide open like it was it didn't take a
- 39:47Speaker 2: expert to explain how he struggled and i think that
- 39:49Speaker 2: was almost harder.
- 39:50Speaker 1: I i agree with you but the thing i would
- 39:52Speaker 1: say for him it was a point that i tried
- 39:54Speaker 1: to make about caitlin clark last year and it's going
- 39:57Speaker 1: to be really germane to her next year as this
- 40:00Speaker 1: year has been injury filled and all of this stop
- 40:03Speaker 1: trying to give it to these people before they actually
- 40:05Speaker 1: do anything right like you can acknowledge they're a big
- 40:08Speaker 1: deal you can acknowledge the level of interest around them
- 40:11Speaker 1: but the truth is Where this gets to be interesting
- 40:15Speaker 1: and what makes you truly love and respect these figures
- 40:17Speaker 1: is what they do when it gets hard. Right. And
- 40:21Speaker 1: like maybe some of you don't remember Peyton Manning's time
- 40:24Speaker 1: at Tennessee where he lost to Florida four years in
- 40:27Speaker 1: a row. Went to the Orange Bowl his senior year
- 40:32Speaker 1: against Nebraska and got their doors blown off. It ain't
- 40:35Speaker 1: always easy, man. Like there are things to overcome. There
- 40:39Speaker 1: are things that you got to push through and it
- 40:42Speaker 1: will be more gratifying as a viewing experience. And for
- 40:45Speaker 1: you as fans, if you watch Arch go through the
- 40:48Speaker 1: struggle to then get to the other side. And right
- 40:52Speaker 1: now it's the struggle part. So let's see how he
- 40:55Speaker 1: responds to that struggle, because that's going to be the
- 40:58Speaker 1: real test of whether he is what you say he is,
- 41:01Speaker 1: not how easy it looked in week one.
- 41:05Speaker 2: All right, we're moving on as summer winds down. We're
- 41:08Speaker 2: reacting to an article from HeatMap News about how electricity
- 41:11Speaker 2: got so expensive. Over the past few years, electricity prices
- 41:15Speaker 2: in the U.S. have risen sharply, surpassing inflation by a
- 41:18Speaker 2: wide margin. While it can be political to blame renewable energy,
- 41:22Speaker 2: but the real driver of this is the infrastructure itself.
- 41:26Speaker 2: Utilities are more expensive because the poles are more expensive,
- 41:29Speaker 2: the wires are more expensive, construction is more expensive, the
- 41:32Speaker 2: transformers are more expensive. And what has happened to that
- 41:35Speaker 2: is electricity has gotten way more expensive for the rest
- 41:40Speaker 2: of America.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Brother, I got an electric bill the other day that
- 41:44Speaker 1: I couldn't believe. Like, I don't even want to say
- 41:47Speaker 1: the number out here in front of these people. I'm
- 41:50Speaker 1: going to send you the number right now on text, Ryan,
- 41:53Speaker 1: and you can answer this with your face. I don't
- 41:55Speaker 1: think I don't even think I needed to tell you.
- 41:57Speaker 1: You know, you've been to my house. Yeah, you just
- 41:59Speaker 1: saw it, huh?
- 42:00Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was like, I don't know what
- 42:06Speaker 1: I need to do. Like, I had to start doing
- 42:08Speaker 1: all kinds of stuff. Like, I was like, okay, well,
- 42:10Speaker 1: maybe 78 degrees isn't that hot in your house after all. Like,
- 42:14Speaker 1: you know, these were the things we had to change.
- 42:17Speaker 2: I mean, it looks like fall is coming faster for
- 42:20Speaker 2: the rest of America. Like, I mean, it was seasonably
- 42:23Speaker 2: cooler all over the United States, and I think that
- 42:26Speaker 2: is going to be a relief for lots of people.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Speaking of homes, we're reacting to a Wall Street Journal
- 42:33Speaker 2: article talking about a new trend for prospective homebuyers. They're
- 42:38Speaker 2: requesting to stay overnight or rent properties in the short
- 42:41Speaker 2: term before committing to a purchase. For example, people, you know,
- 42:45Speaker 2: buying a eight-figure home, have offered to do a two-month
- 42:48Speaker 2: stay with fully furnished accommodations. This is a trend of
- 42:53Speaker 2: getting traction in high-end markets like the Hollywood Hills, the
- 42:55Speaker 2: Hudson Valley, Florida, and Texas. Essentially, people have started to
- 43:00Speaker 2: test drive cars or test drive homes like they are
- 43:02Speaker 2: test driving cars, Bo.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Yo, I have to say, I understand why it is
- 43:08Speaker 1: that this had not happened before, but this is something
- 43:12Speaker 1: that should have happened before. I think this happens to
- 43:16Speaker 1: people fairly often and it has certainly happened to me
- 43:20Speaker 1: where when you walk through a house and go through
- 43:22Speaker 1: all that stuff, there's no way you can tell what
- 43:26Speaker 1: all the things are. It is amazing how little something
- 43:32Speaker 1: can be that can make a house borderline unlivable. For example,
- 43:39Speaker 1: I live in a place right now that I enjoy
- 43:42Speaker 1: a luxurious bubble bath, right? I like to just kind
- 43:45Speaker 1: of lay around and think about my day or whatever
- 43:47Speaker 1: it is. But the bathtub is so narrow on the sides.
- 43:51Speaker 1: It's like yay big where you ain't got nowhere to
- 43:54Speaker 1: hold the soap. You see what I'm saying? That's really annoying. Yes,
- 44:00Speaker 1: it's incredibly annoying. I don't get to use the bathtub anymore, right?
- 44:04Speaker 2: It's not like you would get like a TV stand
- 44:08Speaker 2: for your bathtub.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Right, right. And then it's like, it's a giant tub.
- 44:12Speaker 1: And so the faucet that pours water in it is
- 44:13Speaker 1: too small. So it takes like forever in order to
- 44:17Speaker 1: fill it up. Like it's all kind of futuristic stuff
- 44:19Speaker 1: going on with it. But it's all these little things
- 44:22Speaker 1: that if I had test driven the place, I probably
- 44:24Speaker 1: would still live here. But if I had test driven
- 44:27Speaker 1: the place, I'd have been like, oh, these are things
- 44:29Speaker 1: that we kind of sort of need to think about.
- 44:32Speaker 1: And so if you're going to be paying these prices
- 44:34Speaker 1: at the interest rates, I'm a little surprised that there's
- 44:37Speaker 1: enough interest in it that the sellers now have to
- 44:41Speaker 1: go along with it.
- 44:43Speaker 4: Right.
- 44:44Speaker 1: You know, because what do you do? I mean, because
- 44:47Speaker 1: we're not about to move. You're not about to move
- 44:48Speaker 1: your furniture. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, like,
- 44:50Speaker 1: are we switching out the furniture in the course of this?
- 44:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a. I think it's fascinating. I think it's
- 44:57Speaker 2: interesting how these corporations always find ways of making more money.
- 45:02Speaker 2: And this is just an easier way of, I mean,
- 45:06Speaker 2: you know, they're getting some cut of this as well.
- 45:08Speaker 2: This is just a fascinating way of like figuring out,
- 45:10Speaker 2: you know, we could sell it, but we could also
- 45:12Speaker 2: get commission for renting it before we sell it too.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Yeah, but I see the vision. I do indeed.
- 45:19Speaker 2: Absolutely. And finally, we're going to the U.S. Open. This
- 45:24Speaker 2: story went viral. After an upset win, a Polish tennis
- 45:27Speaker 2: player tried to gift his signed hat to a young fan,
- 45:31Speaker 2: but it was very quickly snatched by an adult. Later
- 45:36Speaker 2: identified online as a Polish CEO, quickly tucked it into
- 45:39Speaker 2: his bag. Internet sleuths found his identity online. And Review
- 45:44Speaker 2: bombed his company. So that's what happens when you steal
- 45:48Speaker 2: autographs from kids.
- 45:50Speaker 3: My.
- 45:51Speaker 1: Look. You knew he was giving it to the kid, right?
- 45:57Speaker 2: Of course.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Okay. Now, I admit, the whole thing of, like, if
- 46:01Speaker 1: a foul ball comes in the crowd and you get
- 46:03Speaker 1: it and a kid wants it, you should give it
- 46:05Speaker 1: to the kid. Do not agree. Do not agree at all.
- 46:08Speaker 1: That's a once-in-a-lifetime situation.
- 46:09Speaker 5: Do you....
- 46:12Speaker 2: Kind of think of that as like not letting kids
- 46:14Speaker 2: win in board games. Like if you want to.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Get the ball, you got to win. That's exactly it.
- 46:19Speaker 2: You have to earn it.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Sometimes life isn't fair. Now, do I think that you
- 46:23Speaker 1: should cut in front of the kid to catch it?
- 46:26Speaker 1: Probably not. Right. Do I think you should do that
- 46:29Speaker 1: with a T-shirt? Probably not. But the foul ball? It's
- 46:34Speaker 1: a little different, right? So I'm just saying that to
- 46:37Speaker 1: say that I'm not a sucker for kids in this way.
- 46:41Speaker 1: But you knew that was not intended for you. And
- 46:44Speaker 1: on top of that, I don't really know how things
- 46:45Speaker 1: go down in Poland, but I would imagine in America,
- 46:48Speaker 1: you can get your ass kicked for that, right? Like
- 46:52Speaker 1: somebody's pops is there, and this is what it is? Nah, man,
- 46:55Speaker 1: we got to scrap it out.
- 46:57Speaker 2: And also, if you're running any company, you have to
- 47:00Speaker 2: know that you're at a very publicly televised event you
- 47:04Speaker 2: have to assume that you could possibly end up on
- 47:06Speaker 2: camera yes and so if you're going to it's like
- 47:10Speaker 2: the couple we talked about the Coldplay concert over the
- 47:13Speaker 2: summer like if you're going to be in a place
- 47:15Speaker 2: where there are a lot of cameras you have to
- 47:18Speaker 2: adjust your poor behavior accordingly or at least try to.
- 47:22Speaker 1: And brother you a Polish CEO you telling me you
- 47:24Speaker 1: can't get in a room with this Polish player some
- 47:26Speaker 1: other chance and.
- 47:28Speaker 2: Yeah how many testers are there in Poland.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Come on, but counterpoint also, by the way, just so
- 47:33Speaker 1: we're clear. And this is the thing I think about
- 47:36Speaker 1: often with these different things that these kids get. If
- 47:39Speaker 1: that kid is sitting close enough to the court to
- 47:41Speaker 1: get this hat, he'd be getting lots of stuff. Just
- 47:48Speaker 1: throwing it out there. I bet his bedroom more tricked
- 47:49Speaker 1: out than mine. But the dude was still wrong.
- 48:00Speaker 2: All right, Bo, we're trying out the new voicemail line,
- 48:03Speaker 2: just kind of asking for general questions, prompts from the audience.
- 48:06Speaker 2: We got a few good ones. Here's the first.
- 48:09Speaker 1: Hey, Bo.
- 48:10Speaker 4: This is Jake from the greater Southern California area. Just
- 48:13Speaker 4: wanted to hear your thoughts on what's going on in
- 48:15Speaker 4: academia right now. I know both your parents are academics.
- 48:18Speaker 4: You've obviously spent a lot of time in and around
- 48:20Speaker 4: higher education, and you're clearly passionate about education and that
- 48:24Speaker 4: it matters. My wife's a PhD. She's a lecturer in
- 48:28Speaker 4: the five. So, obviously, now we're not great. But obviously,
- 48:32Speaker 4: there's a lot of the political stuff going on. And,
- 48:34Speaker 4: you know, who knows how that's all going to shake
- 48:36Speaker 4: out over the next several years. But it also just
- 48:38Speaker 4: kind of feels like we've lost our way when it
- 48:40Speaker 4: comes to, I don't know, an appreciation and interest in education.
- 48:44Speaker 4: I mean, maybe even knowledge in general. But obviously, like
- 48:47Speaker 4: the structure of education is something that we do not value.
- 48:50Speaker 4: It seems like we– We used to.
- 48:52Speaker 1: So I guess the.
- 48:53Speaker 4: Question is, is there anything that we can do about this?
- 48:56Speaker 4: I'm just curious if this is something that you've thought
- 48:58Speaker 4: about or that you and your folks talk about, you know,
- 49:01Speaker 4: all that good stuff.
- 49:03Speaker 2: Thank you, sir. Keep up the great work. Take care.
- 49:04Speaker 1: All right. I appreciate that. For years, I've thought about
- 49:09Speaker 1: it from the bottom up. And yes, our appreciation for
- 49:12Speaker 1: education in this society became strictly as you need education
- 49:17Speaker 1: to serve the economy. which was not always what this
- 49:22Speaker 1: was about. Right. It was not always the intention of
- 49:25Speaker 1: the people going into school. But then from there, it
- 49:27Speaker 1: really came to we're just doing things that serve the economy.
- 49:29Speaker 1: And when you look at like the majors, they get
- 49:31Speaker 1: eliminated and all of this stuff. It is for those reasons.
- 49:35Speaker 1: I think it's a university. I think it's Indiana, Indiana University,
- 49:37Speaker 1: I believe it's called, not University of Indiana. But I
- 49:39Speaker 1: think it was at Indiana where you look at the
- 49:41Speaker 1: majors that they were getting rid of. And it's just like, oh,
- 49:43Speaker 1: my goodness, you're turning a tier one research institution into
- 49:46Speaker 1: a trade school, basically. Right. But the real concern for
- 49:50Speaker 1: higher education right now, it's not about our attitudes for education.
- 49:54Speaker 1: It's not. your kids and their reliance on AI and
- 49:58Speaker 1: nobody explaining to them that it's not just about getting
- 50:01Speaker 1: a grade. You actually need to learn something, so forth
- 50:03Speaker 1: and so on. The issue is not those things. The
- 50:05Speaker 1: issue is not from the bottom up anymore. It is
- 50:08Speaker 1: from the top down and the clear and obvious intention
- 50:12Speaker 1: to destroy the institution of higher education. And there were
- 50:17Speaker 1: people who called this before it started happening with the
- 50:20Speaker 1: Harvard lawsuit, the Columbia lawsuit, all this stuff coming down
- 50:22Speaker 1: from the Trump administration. But what is happening is that
- 50:26Speaker 1: the very idea of higher education is being destroyed. The
- 50:31Speaker 1: places that provided are being weakened terribly in a way
- 50:35Speaker 1: that you can look up historically what types of societies
- 50:44Speaker 1: do this and what the end game is when this happens.
- 50:47Speaker 1: You don't need me to tell you what it is.
- 50:49Speaker 1: You can go look up who it is that's done this, when, why,
- 50:52Speaker 1: and what the end results have been. And it is
- 50:55Speaker 1: absolutely terrifying. So it has gone away from me being
- 50:58Speaker 1: afraid of how stupid your kids are to me being
- 51:02Speaker 1: much more afraid to how stupid the people are that
- 51:05Speaker 1: are above the people who would love to try to
- 51:07Speaker 1: teach your stupid kids. Nope, nope, nope. It's gonna be
- 51:10Speaker 1: worse than your kids being stupid. It's gonna be your
- 51:13Speaker 1: kids literally having no shot.
- 51:16Speaker 2: All right, let's get to one that's a little bit
- 51:18Speaker 2: more fun.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Yes.
- 51:20Speaker 3: Omani, Mike from Pittsburgh. I was thinking about David Bowie
- 51:24Speaker 3: and how if you have any three combinations of his
- 51:29Speaker 3: albums in your top and how many different combinations there
- 51:34Speaker 3: could be to still make a respectable argument. I was
- 51:38Speaker 3: wondering if he's singular in that or if there's any
- 51:41Speaker 3: other artists that come to mind.
- 51:44Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 51:44Speaker 3: Love the show.
- 51:45Speaker 1: All right. I appreciate it. So Ryan, just to make
- 51:47Speaker 1: sure I understand what he is saying, he is raising
- 51:50Speaker 1: the question about like, is there anybody that you could
- 51:52Speaker 1: put more combinations of their top three records?
- 51:57Speaker 4: Yes.
- 51:57Speaker 1: And plausibly say that.
- 51:59Speaker 2: Like someone who has like, you know, 10 albums, you
- 52:03Speaker 2: can make the case that three are the best.
- 52:05Speaker 1: I don't think off the top of my head, I
- 52:10Speaker 1: don't think there's anybody else that you could do that
- 52:13Speaker 1: many for. So for example, with Prince, the top three
- 52:20Speaker 1: Prince albums to me, for most of whoever you happen
- 52:24Speaker 1: to be, is going to be some combination of four records.
- 52:27Speaker 1: Dirty Mind, 1999, Purple Rain, and Sign of the Times.
- 52:31Speaker 1: It's going to be some combination of those four. The
- 52:36Speaker 1: Marley catalog is interesting because you can kind of bounce
- 52:39Speaker 1: around with how you do it, but it's more the
- 52:41Speaker 1: consistency of the catalog. than like the specific outright highs. Bowie,
- 52:46Speaker 1: and I had to pull up the list just to
- 52:48Speaker 1: be able to do it. Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, Low, Lodger, Heroes,
- 52:57Speaker 1: Let's Dance. And then depending on how you feel about
- 53:01Speaker 1: like Young Americans, I don't love that. Oh, Station to Station,
- 53:03Speaker 1: I forgot. I just gave you seven. And I think
- 53:06Speaker 1: that you can reorder those three. I mean, take the
- 53:09Speaker 1: top three out of those, any order you want to,
- 53:12Speaker 1: And you're coming out pretty damn strong. I think most
- 53:18Speaker 1: of us, the way we think of the Led Zeppelin catalog,
- 53:20Speaker 1: you can't really do it like that. Now, when you
- 53:22Speaker 1: get to like Miles Davis, that's when we start talking
- 53:24Speaker 1: about something completely different where anything feels possible when you
- 53:29Speaker 1: go over there. But now that you say that, and
- 53:31Speaker 1: the more that I think about it, even Stevie Wonder,
- 53:34Speaker 1: Stevie Wonder. has a is on this right.
- 53:37Speaker 2: That was what i was about to ask is like
- 53:41Speaker 2: i was trying to get you into a stevie conversation.
- 53:43Speaker 1: So the thing to me about stevie that i think
- 53:45Speaker 1: is underrated is that everybody likes to talk about how
- 53:47Speaker 1: cool they are and so they start picking up the
- 53:51Speaker 1: post motown assembly line records and so they leave out
- 53:55Speaker 1: for once in my life they leave out signed sealed
- 53:57Speaker 1: and delivered I feel like there's one more of those
- 54:00Speaker 1: that they then leave out. Right. But they they skip
- 54:04Speaker 1: to go straight to where I'm coming from. Music of
- 54:06Speaker 1: my mind. Talking book. Intervisions. Filled with first finale. Salt
- 54:13Speaker 1: in the Key of Life. Hotter than July. If you
- 54:15Speaker 1: want to get there. We're talking like six, seven, eight.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Just unreal. I can't believe you. I can't believe one
- 54:22Speaker 1: person is capable of doing that. So to me, yeah,
- 54:26Speaker 1: it's those two guys. The 1970s gave us David Bowie,
- 54:32Speaker 1: Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Curtis Mayfield, maybe the best part
- 54:38Speaker 1: of the Rolling Stones catalog. zeppelin if that's like really
- 54:42Speaker 1: really like your bag and what you want to get
- 54:44Speaker 1: into um and this is just this is me going
- 54:48Speaker 1: off the top of my head you get like other
- 54:50Speaker 1: bands like the the osley brothers got three or four
- 54:53Speaker 1: unreal ones in that time period the oj's got a
- 54:57Speaker 1: crazy run of unreal stuff that comes in that top
- 54:59Speaker 1: period time period and we could go more and more
- 55:03Speaker 1: nothing is beating the sevens nothing All right.
- 55:08Speaker 2: Here's the last one for maybe for new listeners of
- 55:10Speaker 2: the show.
- 55:11Speaker 5: Hey, Bo, happy Labor Day. So I've been a listener
- 55:15Speaker 5: since the right time, a radio show with Shannon and
- 55:20Speaker 5: you say it a lot, but can I get a
- 55:23Speaker 5: clear definition of a herb? Like I'm pretty good with context,
- 55:28Speaker 5: but like, and I kind of get what it is,
- 55:31Speaker 5: but like, you know, since we're doing this, can you, uh,
- 55:35Speaker 5: Give me and the rest of the people a clear
- 55:37Speaker 5: definition of a herb, please.
- 55:39Speaker 2: Appreciate it, Bo.
- 55:40Speaker 5: Later.
- 55:41Speaker 1: You know, it's always tricky because as I say, I've
- 55:44Speaker 1: never met a herb named herb, right? Like we just
- 55:47Speaker 1: throw this name herb out, but every herb I know,
- 55:50Speaker 1: I guess maybe they all understood they had to overcome,
- 55:52Speaker 1: you know, what was before them in order to make
- 55:55Speaker 1: it happen. Can I give you like a clear definition
- 55:59Speaker 1: of a herb? It's kind of one of those, you know,
- 56:01Speaker 1: a herb when you see a herb.
- 56:06Speaker 2: I know there's a ruling for the Supreme Court. It's
- 56:08Speaker 2: either indecency or pornography. I cannot defy it, but I
- 56:12Speaker 2: know it when I see it.
- 56:12Speaker 1: I know it when I see it. Okay, so I'll
- 56:14Speaker 1: give you an example. Russell Wilson used to be a herb,
- 56:20Speaker 1: but not anymore. Old Russell Wilson, now he's a herb.
- 56:25Speaker 1: New Russell Wilson, not so much. By the way, Ryan,
- 56:27Speaker 1: have you noticed the most interesting thing that has ever
- 56:30Speaker 1: happened that I can think of? Russell Wilson has become
- 56:35Speaker 1: Travis Kelsey and Travis Kelsey has become Russell Wilson. Did
- 56:40Speaker 1: you notice that?
- 56:41Speaker 2: Who had that on their bingo cards 10 years ago?
- 56:45Speaker 1: I feel like I saw a picture of Travis Kelsey
- 56:47Speaker 1: in a Hawaiian shirt and I was like, oh man,
- 56:49Speaker 1: the switch is complete. Like you look at Russell Wilson
- 56:52Speaker 1: in the clothes that Sierra picked out for him.
- 56:53Speaker 2: We need Travis Kelsey to say all things are possible
- 56:59Speaker 2: of God if they win another Super Bowl. The full
- 57:02Speaker 2: body switch will have been complete.
- 57:04Speaker 1: All I'm saying is, if it was 10 years ago
- 57:07Speaker 1: and I asked you which one of them is going
- 57:09Speaker 1: to marry Sierra and which one of them is going
- 57:11Speaker 1: to marry Taylor Swift, which direction would you have gone in?
- 57:18Speaker 1: All love, by the way, to all parties involved. Everyone
- 57:22Speaker 1: seems happy. Everyone seems happy, but it is, when you
- 57:24Speaker 1: think about it, it's a bit of a switcheroo to you.
- 57:32Speaker 1: It happened.
- 57:33Speaker 2: It happened.
- 57:35Speaker 1: But hey, ladies and gentlemen, thanks so much for joining
- 57:39Speaker 1: us here on The Right Time. We do this here
- 57:42Speaker 1: three times a week. Ryan Brumley handling everything behind the scenes.
