- 0:01Speaker 1: I was back last night on social media. I went
- 0:04Speaker 1: viral and it scared me. Told you, I took my
- 0:08Speaker 1: post down because when it I know, because I'm not.
- 0:12Speaker 1: I don't trying to capture attention like you people do.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Like people like you, you would have killed. Do you
- 0:19Speaker 1: know I'm watching in real time a fairly innocuous tweet
- 0:24Speaker 1: that I put up it on x It got to
- 0:28Speaker 1: five hundred thousand views.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Wow?
- 0:30Speaker 3: Is that bad unless it's something that you think you
- 0:33Speaker 3: phrased badly or kind of want to rethink or something.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I didn't phrase it badly. I
- 0:37Speaker 1: got scared of the sheer volume. And then I was
- 0:40Speaker 1: starting to get all these people who never heard of
- 0:42Speaker 1: me before, threatening me and coming at me. There is
- 0:45Speaker 1: and it got and I thought, oh gosh, this is
- 0:47Speaker 1: going to reach I'll and I'll tell you what I wrote.
- 0:50Speaker 1: It was real simple.
- 0:51Speaker 2: You're in a safe space, now share with us.
- 0:53Speaker 1: For the mpteen time. I went to my pharmacy CBS
- 0:57Speaker 1: yesterday to pick out that prescription. I went to it.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I went to pick up a prescription at one in
- 1:03Speaker 1: the afternoon.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Yep.
- 1:04Speaker 1: And they close every day at once because the pharmacist
- 1:08Speaker 1: needs to get a sandwich. The pharmacists needs the pharmacy.
- 1:13Speaker 1: It's lunch and it's apparently this is a policy that
- 1:16Speaker 1: is country wide. All of them do it. Apparently, as
- 1:20Speaker 1: I learned through they a million CBS, Walgreens, publics, they
- 1:25Speaker 1: all do it.
- 1:26Speaker 3: They got I thought it was just a CVS thing,
- 1:28Speaker 3: because that's my pharmacy taught.
- 1:30Speaker 1: It's across the board. They take a lunch break. It's
- 1:34Speaker 1: it has something to do with staffing. And my my
- 1:38Speaker 1: post was simply this, Am I the only one that
- 1:42Speaker 1: goes to CBS at one thirty and they're always closed? Yep,
- 1:45Speaker 1: this it's an idiotic policy. Is it just me and
- 1:49Speaker 1: the one I go to? Or is across the board?
- 1:51Speaker 1: It is, of course across the board. I brought it
- 1:53Speaker 1: up and did you get any answers? Is what people
- 1:57Speaker 1: answers I was getting. We're gonna find where you live.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I'm a pharmacist in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I'm coming
- 2:04Speaker 1: to track you down, you son of a blank. I've
- 2:07Speaker 1: got scared. I deleted the post when it and mark
- 2:10Speaker 1: it was wild because I'm watching you can see how
- 2:13Speaker 1: many views a post like that gets. Oh, it's like
- 2:16Speaker 1: it's like a like a like a slot machine in Vegas.
- 2:19Speaker 1: It was going one hundred and fifty thousand, one hundred
- 2:22Speaker 1: and eighty thousand, and I've never gotten something viral like that.
- 2:25Speaker 1: But then I started getting these threats, these direct message threats.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I thought, Nop, look like you said yesterday, and I
- 2:32Speaker 1: talked about it. You can't get in trouble for something
- 2:34Speaker 1: you don't say.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Well, you get in.
- 2:37Speaker 3: So the answer I got and I tried to have
- 2:40Speaker 3: this make sense because I think your logic is like mine.
- 2:43Speaker 3: It's a store, have somebody working back up, just you
- 2:48Speaker 3: can you play? I mean, by what logic do you
- 2:50Speaker 3: have to close at all? If the pharmacy's open, you
- 2:53Speaker 3: should be open, period. Paragraph. The answer I got back
- 2:57Speaker 3: is you have to have an actual pharmacist there. Correct,
- 3:00Speaker 3: some stores have only one pharmacist, like all day? What
- 3:04Speaker 3: from eight in the morning till six at night? What
- 3:06Speaker 3: kind of you know slave there? I know that there's
- 3:12Speaker 3: just no excuse for this, no other way. Very few
- 3:15Speaker 3: other businesses do that. It's very weird, and I think
- 3:17Speaker 3: you're one hundred percent right. Here's the other problem.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Let's face it, ninety percent of the transactions you have
- 3:24Speaker 1: at the pharmacy have nothing to do with the actual.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Pharmacy, but they got to be there. But they just
- 3:28Speaker 3: in case of question rises at the window, you got
- 3:31Speaker 3: to go. Policy or by law, I don't know, but
- 3:35Speaker 3: I would not disagree with either.
- 3:37Speaker 1: If I've got an idea, then have a second pharmacy.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I no, no, I got no. No, I got a
- 3:43Speaker 1: better idea. How about we're going to stay, keep the
- 3:45Speaker 1: pharmacy open. And if there's a question that involves the pharmacist,
- 3:49Speaker 1: because you say they got to be there, well you're
- 3:51Speaker 1: gonna have to wait until two o'clock. But when I'm
- 3:54Speaker 1: going in to pick up my hay fever medicine, give
- 3:56Speaker 1: me my damn hay fever medicine.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Give me the ball. Okay, let's leve.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't think it might be the
- 4:03Speaker 1: I don't think it's law. I think it's policy. I
- 4:05Speaker 1: think they want a pharmacy there to cover their butts.
- 4:08Speaker 1: A pharmacist there. Rather, I don't think, and I just
- 4:10Speaker 1: think it's policy. But like you said, stagger the hours
- 4:14Speaker 1: and what was really annoying to me. I ran all
- 4:17Speaker 1: the way across town yesterday to get the stupid I get.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I take I take uh. And by the way, quick
- 4:23Speaker 1: pharmacy tip for fellow allergy sufferers. Years ago, I was
- 4:29Speaker 1: prescribed a nasal spray called a zastolin that has been
- 4:34Speaker 1: a godsend for my.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Norse by Lisa Davis. I just pop it occasional xytec.
- 4:39Speaker 3: She's got it way worse than me.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I used to say, absolutely.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Because she's she's allergic to something in the air. I
- 4:45Speaker 3: think they call it oxygen, and she's just.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Got it bad. Especially I'm doing. I'm allergic to trees.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I've got a true so if it's windy and there's
- 4:53Speaker 1: trees around, I'm in the bed for about a month.
- 4:55Speaker 1: So but the as I think it's a z E
- 4:59Speaker 1: L ST I A st right it is.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Let's try you want to try this. Here you go
- 5:06Speaker 3: technology on the fly and try to act. This is
- 5:08Speaker 3: going to go horribly, which will be even more entertaining.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Let me do the dictation. Hang on a second, Okay.
- 5:14Speaker 3: In discussing a rule found commonly in Texas pharmacies, Comma,
- 5:19Speaker 3: where they are often closed between one thirty and two pm, Comma,
- 5:23Speaker 3: I understand that the desire to have a pharmacist on
- 5:26Speaker 3: staff period. Is that a policy matter for the company
- 5:30Speaker 3: or is it required by Texas law?
- 5:34Speaker 1: Right now? Who you're asking this groc or?
- 5:36Speaker 2: Is that is is pharmacy tech groc.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Pharmacy tech groc.
- 5:43Speaker 3: It is primarily driven by Texas law written. I don't
- 5:48Speaker 3: know if it's Florida law requiring continuous on site pharmacist
- 5:52Speaker 3: supervision when a pharmacy is open for services under Texas
- 5:56Speaker 3: Occupations Code.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Blah blah blah blah.
- 5:58Speaker 1: So it's a long it appears to get well touched
- 6:01Speaker 1: a nerve because people were and people were getting wildly
- 6:04Speaker 1: emotional about this issue, because.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Okay, but what if I is it? Why would somebody
- 6:09Speaker 3: be mad at you for this?
- 6:10Speaker 1: They were well, they were well because they thought I
- 6:13Speaker 1: was attacking the pharmaceutical industry. I guess so maybe, And
- 6:16Speaker 1: then I started thinking about, like I'm going to wind
- 6:18Speaker 1: up being on a hit list of the big farm.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Really, I don't think you want to make anybody angry
- 6:22Speaker 3: about healthcare these.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Days, with no kidding, but most people were on art
- 6:28Speaker 1: were agreeing with you and me. Most people were saying,
- 6:30Speaker 1: this is the dumbest thing I've experienced this myself. And
- 6:33Speaker 1: then they were getting into fights with each other on
- 6:35Speaker 1: I'm watching this thing all on beads of sweat foreman
- 6:39Speaker 1: on my forehead, thinking they're coming for me, and I'm
- 6:41Speaker 1: looking at this going viral, and I thought, uh uh, nope,
- 6:44Speaker 1: I deleted. And now if you can look, it'll say
- 6:47Speaker 1: this post has been deleted.
- 6:49Speaker 2: And now everybody knows why.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Maybe it's pharmacy folks or CVS folks saying, look, if
- 6:53Speaker 3: we stay open for Mike and who's zest, and then
- 6:56Speaker 3: the poor pharmacist can't get a lunch break or they
- 6:58Speaker 3: have to fire somebody because they the two pharmacists sixty seconds,
- 7:02Speaker 3: I thought I was you host of the common Man.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Pretty soon after I returned to my native Texas, I
- 7:07Speaker 3: noticed that I found like a car deal car dealerships
- 7:10Speaker 3: closed on Sunday or something. I went and I was
- 7:12Speaker 3: looking for a car on a Sunday. Is what's going on?
- 7:14Speaker 3: And they said, it's not that they have to be
- 7:16Speaker 3: closed on Sunday, but it was a rule that said
- 7:18Speaker 3: car dealerships can own A law said car dealerships can
- 7:21Speaker 3: only be opened six days a week. So that's stupid.
- 7:23Speaker 3: If a dealership wants to be open, they should be open.
- 7:26Speaker 3: I haven't we gotten past the notion of government telling
- 7:28Speaker 3: businesses when you can be open. Come on, come with me,
- 7:32Speaker 3: I'll ride you, I'll put you on my back, and
- 7:34Speaker 3: I'll be the host for the common man.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I was eaten.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Alive for this by the wives of car dealer. Yeah,
- 7:43Speaker 3: car dealer folks who said, I never see my husband
- 7:45Speaker 3: as it is, and your if your big mouth makes
- 7:48Speaker 3: them open and.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Which But I said, shift work. Radio stations are open
- 7:51Speaker 2: seven days.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Well, hold my beer. I remember, hold my beer. I
- 7:56Speaker 1: remember getting in trouble because of Megachurch in Dallas. I'm drawing.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I'm drawing a blank on the it's Ed Young's church.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Where you go to church? Okay, here we go years ago.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I remember when I was living there. They didn't they
- 8:13Speaker 1: didn't have services on Christmas Day on a Sunday, on
- 8:17Speaker 1: a Sunday. Christmas Day fell on a Sunday. And I'm like,
- 8:20Speaker 1: you think that might be a good day to go worship.
- 8:23Speaker 1: And the response, oh, I got killed on that. They
- 8:26Speaker 1: were like, how dare you Ed and his family get
- 8:29Speaker 1: to take a day for Christmas and the and the
- 8:32Speaker 1: ushers they get to take. I wait, wait a minute,
- 8:34Speaker 1: you're a church. It's Christmas Day, It's Sunday. That's a
- 8:38Speaker 1: perfect day to be open, to celebrate the birth of
- 8:41Speaker 1: our Savior. Are you people were so mad at me?
- 8:44Speaker 3: Oh, we have ten services wrapped leading up to if
- 8:48Speaker 3: you I totally get your point, But I also support
- 8:51Speaker 3: my church in there.
- 8:52Speaker 1: What's the church that Tom traddif goes to where they
- 8:54Speaker 1: have all the flying Santa Clauses and the all the
- 8:57Speaker 1: the massive what's that? Oh, that's what it pressed. I
- 9:01Speaker 1: guess it's pressure Wood with.
- 9:02Speaker 3: The gift of Christmas Broadway caliber Christmas show.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Oh Broadway on steroids, Try Vegas. I got to get there.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I want so badly to be there one of these days.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I've done the Radio City and Apples and apples, I don't.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Know, dwarfs Radio City. I've seen the videos. It kind
- 9:19Speaker 1: of does. Oh my god, So fly to what is unflying? Oh?
- 9:24Speaker 1: I can't wait to get there someday.
- 9:26Speaker 2: So incredible.
- 9:26Speaker 1: All right, Sorry, let's let's let's let me quick quickly
- 9:29Speaker 1: ask you about a peculiar situation. This is so this,
- 9:33Speaker 1: Darlene Graham nor Done. Thing gets weirder by the day.
- 9:37Speaker 1: You're a moderator, Mark, Let's say you're let's say you're
- 9:39Speaker 1: a moderator of a debate on Oh, I don't know.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Let's say Newsmax. Let's say your name is Greta. Okay,
- 9:44Speaker 1: and you're like the main moderator Tunberg, Greta, Greta just
- 9:50Speaker 1: for any hypothetical, Yeah, any old Greta, right, and you
- 9:53Speaker 1: hold this debate. And there was massive news made when
- 9:56Speaker 1: one of the candidates running for Senate in South Carolina
- 9:59Speaker 1: says national security isn't my thing. Big story, makes all kinds.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Of this story crazy huge, All.
- 10:07Speaker 1: The media is covering it. Everybody the moderator. Let's say
- 10:10Speaker 1: your name is Greta.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I'm the moderator, Greta.
- 10:13Speaker 1: You start pushing back at the criticism of the candidate
- 10:17Speaker 1: who said national security isn't my thing. You start getting
- 10:20Speaker 1: lashing out on social media and on your own show
- 10:23Speaker 1: about why are people focused on that one moment? There
- 10:26Speaker 1: were other there were nineteen other questions. Why would that's
- 10:30Speaker 1: what Greta Van Suster and Mark is doing right now?
- 10:33Speaker 1: What in the actual heck is she?
- 10:35Speaker 3: I asked? I asked on AX, what is she on
- 10:39Speaker 3: the campaign staff now?
- 10:40Speaker 1: But there's staff is from Bridge Ard Darling.
- 10:43Speaker 3: She said, why didn't they pay attention to other things
- 10:45Speaker 3: that all the all the cable channels are playing just
- 10:48Speaker 3: that one moment.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I listen.
- 10:49Speaker 2: I don't reply to anybody.
- 10:51Speaker 3: I said, Greta, Honey, I don't think it's that, honey.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Don't say honey. Don't do that, Darlin, and don't tell
- 10:58Speaker 1: her not to get upset. Go ahead.
- 11:00Speaker 3: I said, if you ask a question and it is
- 11:02Speaker 3: monumentally fumbled on a basic thing that any senator should.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Not Dude, that's going to be the viral moment. Get
- 11:09Speaker 1: a closest man. That's the story. Don't you want you
- 11:13Speaker 1: you would think she'd be And Sean Handy last night.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I love Sean. I love Seans. Yes, he's talking about
- 11:20Speaker 1: talking to Lindsay every night at night and telling and
- 11:23Speaker 1: telling yep, and telling Darlene how great she's gonna be.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I'm sure Sean has the Trump syndrome. They loved Lindsey,
- 11:32Speaker 1: I mean, and Shaan and Lindsey were tight. I mean,
- 11:34Speaker 1: I think Sean Lindsey explain.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Newts to me, Explain Tom Cotton to me. The other
- 11:40Speaker 3: two big time conservatives whom I really love, who are
- 11:42Speaker 3: in the tank for Darlene.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I don't get it. Nuke Ingridge is in there for absolutely. Oh,
- 11:48Speaker 1: I gotta ask a nude. And I've got a great
- 11:50Speaker 1: relationship with him. I got to bring him on. I mean,
- 11:52Speaker 1: because look, I'm sitting I had a guy last night
- 11:55Speaker 1: that you bagged on you and me, saying you and
- 11:57Speaker 1: Mark are crapping all over Darlene. You can't crap over
- 12:01Speaker 1: somebody you don't know anything about. Don't shoot the messenger.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I said, how about you can help me. Why don't
- 12:06Speaker 1: you tell me what it is about her record that
- 12:08Speaker 1: you're voting on. Tell me what she brings to the table. Nothing. Well,
- 12:13Speaker 1: nobody can answer that question. You can't get an answer
- 12:15Speaker 1: that question. Mark.
- 12:17Speaker 2: She seems sweet.
- 12:18Speaker 1: They love she was Lindsey's sister. It would be that
- 12:24Speaker 1: Saan likes her. Uh you know Van Sustern obviously, Oh
- 12:31Speaker 1: my lord, And you know what, And she's gonna win.
- 12:34Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now.
- 12:36Speaker 2: I'm gonna win. I'm gonna I'm gonna stay with it.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna win.
- 12:38Speaker 3: I'm gonna give South Carolinians more credit and say that
- 12:41Speaker 3: Ralph wins this thing.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Care to make it interesting? What do you want to bet?
- 12:44Speaker 2: And I don't want to lie to bet. I don't
- 12:45Speaker 2: believe it that strongly.
- 12:47Speaker 1: I know you don't because you're because you're gonna lose.
- 12:49Speaker 1: She's gonna win. I'm and and to quote somebody who
- 12:52Speaker 1: knows South Carolina at the back of his hand, I'm
- 12:54Speaker 1: not going to mention any names Joey Hudson. Joey Hudson
- 12:57Speaker 1: last night said Mark Mark doesn't understand, and fully, I
- 13:01Speaker 1: don't South Carolina.
- 13:02Speaker 3: I don't need any I don't need any palmetto state
- 13:05Speaker 3: condescension from him.
- 13:06Speaker 1: And he's trying to say that is I mean, there's
- 13:09Speaker 1: a uniqueness though, there's a uniqueness to this Mark with
- 13:12Speaker 1: Lindsay and the family and her, and there's something I mean,
- 13:16Speaker 1: we can hear all about how old Lindsay's a rhino,
- 13:18Speaker 1: Lindsay's a runo. Lindsay did not have it. He was
- 13:21Speaker 1: never challenged in any single reelection ever. Always she ain't Lindsay.
- 13:25Speaker 1: She's his sister.
- 13:26Speaker 3: I know, which might be good enough, which is why
- 13:29Speaker 3: you could totally be right about that.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Wilson.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Well, I think, look and don't don't don't get me wrong.
- 13:33Speaker 1: I think I'm I'm starring in my own episode of
- 13:35Speaker 1: the Twilight thought, what I tell you this because I
- 13:37Speaker 1: can't believe I think she's gonna win.
- 13:39Speaker 3: But I think she's gonna win, so will know more things.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Pod I think podcast time there's stuff we didn't get
- 13:44Speaker 3: you here. But you know, if there's.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Always a podcast, look at that. It's like a place
- 13:47Speaker 2: we can go and talk about more stuff.
- 13:49Speaker 1: And no time constraints, and we actually spend more time
- 13:52Speaker 1: with each other and we have a great time. I'll
- 13:54Speaker 1: see you there, YouTube, Spotify, Apple, wherever you get your podcast,
- 13:58Speaker 1: will see you there.
- 13:59Speaker 3: Minem X having what we do have a great one
- 14:01Speaker 3: and a great Mike Gallagher show on the radio.
