- 0:42Speaker 2: the mic either.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Sorry, the flick of my wrist was too strong.
- 0:45Speaker 2: No, no, sorry, And you you have a very loud pen. Also,

- 2:03Speaker 2: put it somewhere safe because you're gonna remember this where
- 2:07Speaker 2: we say to you, no, you're wrong, because you think
- 2:10Speaker 2: it's so far out and all of a sudden three
- 2:11Speaker 2: weeks you're gonna go by.
- 2:12Speaker 7: These are the fastest three weeks on the calendar year.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Yes, of the calendar, I know that. But it's just
- 2:17Speaker 1: we always get our tree after dingle ball so that
- 2:19Speaker 1: it lasts fresh, doesn't die. December fifth is tardy to
- 2:24Speaker 1: the party. I agree. No, we ever stockings that the
- 2:26Speaker 1: house is decorated. We just don't have our tree yet.

- 2:50Speaker 2: I'm very excited about what I got my mom.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Did I tell you for Christmas?
- 2:54Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 2:55Speaker 1: No, Well don't tell us your mom listens every day.
- 3:00Speaker 1: She's okay, she's listening.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Well, no, she's on the phone with you. She's not listening.
- 3:05Speaker 7: That's what I'm trying to do. Get her on the
- 3:07Speaker 7: phone with me.
- 3:08Speaker 4: But then how do you tell us.
- 3:10Speaker 7: I'm gonna put I don't know. I figured that part.
- 3:12Speaker 4: I know you can.
- 3:12Speaker 6: You can mute her on the phone, tell us and
- 3:15Speaker 6: then unmute her.
- 3:18Speaker 7: Okay, but you know when you find that gift that
- 3:20Speaker 7: you know something's gonna.
- 3:21Speaker 1: That's the best feeling ever.
- 3:23Speaker 2: So I don't want her to hear you, right, but
- 3:25Speaker 2: may just make sure she's not listening. So but you've
- 3:27Speaker 2: got to start getting getting your checklist together and down.
- 3:30Speaker 7: Mom. Yeah, Hi there, Hey, it's Ryan on the radio
- 3:34Speaker 7: and cistanin Tanya.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Hi, Hi, Hi, Hi.
- 3:38Speaker 7: She can't They said, Hi, You're on my iPhone which
- 3:40Speaker 7: I'm holding up to the microphone on the speaker.
- 3:42Speaker 2: So anyway, you're not are you not? You're not listening
- 3:44Speaker 2: right now because I'm about to tell them what I
- 3:45Speaker 2: got you for Christmas.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Oh, I'm not listening right now. Oh but I might
- 3:51Speaker 1: tune in.
- 3:52Speaker 7: Ah then I'll wait. No, that's okay, Oh wait, all right,
- 3:57Speaker 7: all right, Well i'll call you after the show. Love you.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Okay.
- 4:00Speaker 2: So she's doing to me, she said, honey, yeah, yeah,
- 4:08Speaker 2: it's your favorite artist.
- 4:09Speaker 7: Doing something that that she loves to eat. That's all
- 4:12Speaker 7: I say, And we'll get closer. I'm afraid she might.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Not eating something that she loves to eat, like her
- 4:18Speaker 2: favorite singer.
- 4:21Speaker 7: Have you heard my alarm?
- 4:22Speaker 1: Yes, that's not his alarm. Oh, it's what a wonderful
- 4:25Speaker 1: world set.
- 4:26Speaker 7: You wonder wonderful world. Oh my gosh, thank goodness, you're
- 4:32Speaker 7: not shouting from my mom. I'll tell you later.
- 4:36Speaker 1: That's what it is.
- 4:37Speaker 7: Have you gotten anybody done on your list?
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yes? I have probably like half my family done already.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Oh I do.
- 4:46Speaker 2: But what I think yourself? Why don't get to last
- 4:51Speaker 2: year and just do it again? The same thing.
- 4:54Speaker 1: You have to get it? Special individual things for everybody.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Well, if you see the same thing you got last year,
- 5:01Speaker 2: don't call me out from you to us?
- 5:05Speaker 1: Yeah, well I won't because you want us to out,
- 5:08Speaker 1: you call you out.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Thank you covered that all right? Monday morning and Ryan's roses.
- 5:15Speaker 2: We're working towards it now, Tanya, let's just fix this.
- 5:17Speaker 7: Can we? Do you mind if we jump in on
- 5:19Speaker 7: this for a second.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Sure, I don't want to barge in on it, but
- 5:22Speaker 2: explain to Sissy and I exactly what the crisis is
- 5:25Speaker 2: so we can help you solve it. Because I feel
- 5:26Speaker 2: like when you come to work, one of the great
- 5:29Speaker 2: takeaways is our free guidance in keeping a relationship strong
- 5:32Speaker 2: and healthy.
- 5:32Speaker 7: So go ahead.
- 5:33Speaker 6: Okay, So we I realize that we just do too
- 5:37Speaker 6: much ordering in we aren't planning ahead.
- 5:40Speaker 4: And I want to start planning ahead.
- 5:42Speaker 6: Grocery shopping, going once or twice a week, and planning
- 5:45Speaker 6: out what we're going to eat every single day for breakfast, luncheon, dinner.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Okay, I think that's reasonable.
- 5:51Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 5:53Speaker 6: My husband love him says, how do I know what
- 5:58Speaker 6: I'm going to be feeling for luck joh on a Wednesday.
- 6:02Speaker 5: I'm with Robbie on that that's reasonable in different moods.
- 6:06Speaker 4: You just eat what you buy. You buy what you want,
- 6:09Speaker 4: and then you eat.
- 6:10Speaker 1: We're not dogs like.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Every day here there's you get chicken one day, you
- 6:16Speaker 2: might want chicken salad. One day you might want fahetas i,
- 6:19Speaker 2: and you could do different things with it based on
- 6:21Speaker 2: your mood. So I think there's a very there's a
- 6:23Speaker 2: MILLI the.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Chickens already shredded, and you can figure out what the
- 6:27Speaker 1: meal is going to be with that shredded chicken exactly.
- 6:29Speaker 4: But for it then what like.
- 6:33Speaker 2: No buy the groceries, map out the basics, the foundation
- 6:37Speaker 2: of the meals, and then you can add your flavors
- 6:39Speaker 2: and your spices in your technique.
- 6:42Speaker 1: What I would like.
- 6:43Speaker 6: To do, if I may, is have like a color
- 6:48Speaker 6: coded week where we just have it in the calendar.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Monday, is this, Tuesdays, this Wednesdays?
- 6:53Speaker 1: This Are you running a school cafeteria? Yeah, it's not.
- 6:56Speaker 4: It's sounds so amazing.
- 6:59Speaker 2: There's like a back off version from you and a
- 7:02Speaker 2: backup version for him, and that is found like like
- 7:05Speaker 2: Sisty said, buy the basics and then put together the
- 7:08Speaker 2: flavors as you wish.
- 7:09Speaker 6: Yeah, but if you, let's say you're gonna have a soup,
- 7:13Speaker 6: how do you then make just a soup out of it?
- 7:14Speaker 4: If you don't have the ingredients.
- 7:15Speaker 1: You have the ingredients for soup and the fridge, your pantry,
- 7:18Speaker 1: a can and open it. It's not that big of
- 7:23Speaker 1: a deal. Like last week, and I wanted to make
- 7:26Speaker 1: a chili, and so I just I went and I
- 7:28Speaker 1: got the ingredens for the chili, and we made the
- 7:30Speaker 1: chili that night. It was delicious.
- 7:32Speaker 2: We left to have cubed avocado raw onions okay on
- 7:37Speaker 2: my chili and chips to dip it in.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Yes, I grilled my onions in the chili. Yeah, And
- 7:44Speaker 1: then we did have chips, and then we had avocado
- 7:46Speaker 1: and even sour cream, and we I had like the
- 7:49Speaker 1: whole shebang.
- 7:51Speaker 7: I think I wanted to just caramelize my onions. Now
- 7:53Speaker 7: it just got me in the on the one trend.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Yeah, caramelize it in thereous.
- 7:58Speaker 7: Okay, thank you Atanya tribe.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Next, there are some holiday decorations that they say can
- 8:05Speaker 2: be very dangerous for your pet, actually make them sick.
- 8:08Speaker 2: All right, the holidays are here, and you know to
- 8:11Speaker 2: keep chocolate and stuff away from your dog. Grapes too,
- 8:14Speaker 2: But here are some things I didn't know this. These
- 8:16Speaker 2: are things might make your pets sick. Pointsettis or poinsettiis,
- 8:20Speaker 2: wherever you want to go. They both ways are acceptable.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Contain chemicals that can cause an upset, stomach and mouth irritation.
- 8:27Speaker 1: For cats, ooh, good thing. You don't have a cat.
- 8:31Speaker 7: I don't. But I know someone who's a cat.
- 8:33Speaker 4: You might have a cat in his life.
- 8:34Speaker 7: I don't have a cat in my life. There's a
- 8:35Speaker 7: friend that I have to walks their cat.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Sometimes I think about getting a cat, and.
- 8:39Speaker 7: Then you stop.
- 8:41Speaker 1: You're right, I think about dog.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Find the mistletoe, I think of an allergy mistletoe. Mistletoe
- 8:47Speaker 2: can result in some real irritation causing illness sickness in
- 8:52Speaker 2: the abdomen. So be careful with mistletoe with certain pets.
- 8:54Speaker 2: You have to see which pet it is. Christmas tree water,
- 8:57Speaker 2: you know that, Like, don't let your dogs start lapping
- 8:59Speaker 2: that stuff up with the tongue. Mmm, that's got fertilizer bacteria.
- 9:04Speaker 7: Not good.
- 9:04Speaker 1: So mistletop points sets in Christmas tree water. Just be aware.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I didn't know that at all.
- 9:08Speaker 7: Christmas your water yet. Yes, make it out on today's quote.
- 9:14Speaker 7: Stop romanticizing potential.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Choose consistency kism one O two point seven Kiss FM.
- 9:20Speaker 2: After seven o'clock it's time for Ryan's.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Roses seven forty Sysney the headlines.
- 9:26Speaker 7: Kiss FM headlines with Sisney.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Well check your flight before you head to the airport.

- 9:39Speaker 1: her Dondo Beach yesterday knocked out power to more than
- 9:42Speaker 1: three hundred homes. Ticketmaster has given Olivia Dean fans partial
- 9:47Speaker 1: refunds after the singer condemned ticketing companies for allowing resale

- 10:18Speaker 1: Hey, how's it going good?
- 10:20Speaker 2: You want to play rude or reasonable? This is I like,
- 10:22Speaker 2: this is a new thing that's become fun. Rude or reasonable?
- 10:26Speaker 7: Go ahead?
- 10:28Speaker 8: Okay, So my sisters are mad at me right now.
- 10:34Speaker 9: We do a big.
- 10:35Speaker 8: Potluck every year for Thanksgiving, and I brought a vegan
- 10:41Speaker 8: mac and cheese and no one touched it. I actually,
- 10:47Speaker 8: I love this dish, and so I took it home
- 10:51Speaker 8: with me and then they said that it was rude
- 10:55Speaker 8: and that I should have left it with the host,
- 10:58Speaker 8: but clearly no one wanted it. And they also said
- 11:00Speaker 8: it was rude because I left early, And they said
- 11:03Speaker 8: that people could have tried it, but everyone was eating
- 11:07Speaker 8: pie already, and you're not going to go back to
- 11:08Speaker 8: mac and cheese after you've started eating.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Right, Well, let me tell anyway a couple couple of things.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Now we Number one, you make a dish and nobody
- 11:19Speaker 2: eats it.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I take that personally, Yeah you shouldn't.
- 11:22Speaker 7: I actually get bothered by that.
- 11:23Speaker 2: You're very bothered by it, and you going home to
- 11:27Speaker 2: eat it. That's just out of misery. That's out of being,
- 11:30Speaker 2: you know, completely rejected. That's called that's what that is.
- 11:33Speaker 2: You're feeling rejected, and so you eat the whole thing.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I understand that, Uh, you should not leave. You obably
- 11:40Speaker 2: get to leave it if no one touched it. That's
- 11:43Speaker 2: rude on them.
- 11:43Speaker 1: First of all.
- 11:44Speaker 4: It's rude to bring something and then take it back home.
- 11:48Speaker 7: If no one wanted it.
- 11:49Speaker 1: They're basically saying we're not interested.
- 11:53Speaker 6: What if they wanted to pack it in there to
- 11:54Speaker 6: go bags like Sysney suggested.
- 11:56Speaker 2: I'll tell you something. I bring oyster cassero sometimes and
- 12:02Speaker 2: it takes.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Yeah, that sounds.
- 12:05Speaker 2: My grandmother used to make it, and I feel like
- 12:08Speaker 2: it's a honoring her to make the oyster cast role
- 12:11Speaker 2: every single Thanksgiving and I bring it to people's houses,
- 12:14Speaker 2: nobody eats it.
- 12:15Speaker 7: I too will take it.
- 12:17Speaker 2: I too, And I also like, you guy should try
- 12:18Speaker 2: this it's not as bad as it looks.
- 12:22Speaker 1: So when you have to say it's not as bad
- 12:26Speaker 1: as it looks.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't look great. Have you ever seen a
- 12:28Speaker 2: bunch of oysters in a casserole pan with on top
- 12:31Speaker 2: of butter and onions? Now, anyway, thank you, you are
- 12:34Speaker 2: in the right.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Happy holidays, Thank you. Thank What about alcohol? Like, what
- 12:40Speaker 1: if you bring your favorite bottle? I don't take that back,
- 12:43Speaker 1: You don't take that back.
- 12:44Speaker 6: But what if it was untouched, not open, like the
- 12:46Speaker 6: seal was still on its great comparisons, But.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Would you feel the same possession as I do something
- 12:52Speaker 2: I make?
- 12:53Speaker 7: Saying I make is part of me. It's an extension
- 12:55Speaker 7: of me.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Pleasure Like you're I'm just gonna get my dish back.
- 13:00Speaker 7: Oh, I would leave the booze.
- 13:03Speaker 2: It's kiss Lataco dot com. We are here for it.
- 13:08Speaker 2: We've talked to Javier at La Taco dot com for
- 13:10Speaker 2: many years.
- 13:12Speaker 7: He's on with us now, Javier, good morning.
- 13:15Speaker 9: What's up? Good morning?
- 13:17Speaker 7: Now, we're very excited to know.
- 13:19Speaker 2: I think tomorrow's the day you're going to announce the
- 13:21Speaker 2: list of the top tacos of twenty twenty five.
- 13:23Speaker 9: Yeah, that's right, it's a year in the making.
- 13:28Speaker 7: Who won last year? Remind me.
- 13:31Speaker 9: Last year our number one pick was actually a controversial
- 13:33Speaker 9: one because they had recently opened. They had only been
- 13:36Speaker 9: opened for about three months or two months, I believe,
- 13:38Speaker 9: and the number one place was Daka in Cyprus Park.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Controversial like Diehard is when it comes to holiday movies. Now,
- 13:48Speaker 2: did you see anything, Javier? Now you should know hoaviy
- 13:51Speaker 2: or we talked, not on the air, like we talked
- 13:53Speaker 2: in a while. I talked to him a couple weeks ago, right,
- 13:55Speaker 2: Javier about some things.
- 13:56Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I gotta follow up on that anyway.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Come thinking about the taco truck? So is his ney, Tanya?
- 14:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Javier, was there anything in twenty twenty five that
- 14:09Speaker 2: struck you as unique and different when it came to
- 14:12Speaker 2: tacos that really worked? Or did it still boiled down
- 14:15Speaker 2: to the staples?
- 14:19Speaker 9: You know what it's it's it's crazy, you know we
- 14:21Speaker 9: as you know, as many of us know, La is
- 14:24Speaker 9: the city of Tacos. It's there's there's some on like
- 14:27Speaker 9: an every corner. That's it's an insane like we're so lucky,
- 14:30Speaker 9: so saturated here. But what I noticed this year was
- 14:33Speaker 9: that we I noticed an even better version of the
- 14:36Speaker 9: stuff that we're all used to. So it's just someone
- 14:38Speaker 9: who's doing it a little better, you know, just you know,
- 14:41Speaker 9: they're going to extra mile to either bring corn from
- 14:43Speaker 9: Ohaka to like next simalize it instead of just using
- 14:46Speaker 9: like a you know, a GMO American corn or or
- 14:49Speaker 9: they're just using more like regional just stuff that hasn't
- 14:53Speaker 9: been really applied here. So it's you know, it's it's
- 14:56Speaker 9: it's a great example, like just because there's so many tacos,
- 14:59Speaker 9: if you still do something really really really tasty and
- 15:01Speaker 9: just do it the best, like if you do it
- 15:03Speaker 9: better than anyone else, you will you will still have
- 15:05Speaker 9: a number one tackle you.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Know how they come and there's more than one taco
- 15:10Speaker 2: on the plate, right, generally that doesn't feel me clearly, Yes,
- 15:16Speaker 2: at least it doesn't bright two or three like I
- 15:19Speaker 2: could eat six. They don't fill me up. Yeah, same way,
- 15:23Speaker 2: I have that problem.
- 15:24Speaker 4: So I think that's pretty normal.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Actually, I feel like it depends if they double up
- 15:28Speaker 3: on the tortilla the right time, it's like too much.
- 15:32Speaker 9: I think the magic number is three at a time,
- 15:34Speaker 9: because you know, you can you know, otherwise your talkos
- 15:37Speaker 9: are gonna get cold unless you're like a turbo fast eater,
- 15:39Speaker 9: which right, I'm not sure are you are?
- 15:40Speaker 7: You?
- 15:40Speaker 9: Are?
- 15:41Speaker 2: You very impatient individuals, So come on, get that thing
- 15:47Speaker 2: down as fast as I can. Hey, tomorrow have you
- 15:49Speaker 2: you're gonna announce the list. How many are on the
- 15:51Speaker 2: list of the best Tacos of the year.
- 15:54Speaker 9: So our annual list clocks in at sixty nine and
- 15:58Speaker 9: that's we almost considered it, just doing it more this
- 16:00Speaker 9: year because we it was it was it was just
- 16:03Speaker 9: so many, so many delicious tackles, and and we we
- 16:05Speaker 9: we considered it, but we decided to just keep it,
- 16:08Speaker 9: keep it, you know, just at that number and just
- 16:10Speaker 9: keep it tight because we because you know, we don't
- 16:13Speaker 9: want to give our handouts. You know, you really have
- 16:15Speaker 9: to fight your way to to earn your place on
- 16:17Speaker 9: the best Tackle list in the best Taco city in
- 16:20Speaker 9: the US.
- 16:21Speaker 2: L a Taco dot Com membership there give someone a
- 16:24Speaker 2: membership for the holidays.
- 16:25Speaker 7: What does the membership get you?
- 16:27Speaker 9: So membership gets you, first of all, a really cool
- 16:30Speaker 9: either mug or T shirt or you know, even a

- 16:40Speaker 9: usually through our members new letter, and then we also

- 16:46Speaker 9: we had a panel on immigration and Tackles and you know, yeah,
- 16:50Speaker 9: it's like and if you if you become if you
- 16:52Speaker 9: become a nice TACKLE member, it's just a sign of

- 16:59Speaker 9: to to believe in journalism and carry about your neighbors.
- 17:04Speaker 7: Love you, palp. Thanks for coming on. Good luck tomorrow.
- 17:07Speaker 9: Thank you so much. Ryan. See ya.
- 17:09Speaker 7: This javea from La Taco dot com.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Do you know if you're ever in an argument with
- 17:13Speaker 2: your significant other and you just, out of the blue
- 17:17Speaker 2: say can we just stop and go get tacos?
- 17:20Speaker 7: It works.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I'm going to use that. That is such a good idea.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Every single time you're in an argument, just stop and
- 17:26Speaker 2: go Can we stop and go get tacos?
- 17:29Speaker 1: Right done?
- 17:31Speaker 7: The argument will end.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Can't wait to try it, got to try it.
- 17:35Speaker 2: We're in the middle of Ryan's roses on kiss so
- 17:38Speaker 2: Lea and san Pedro says that she's been with her
- 17:40Speaker 2: husband for twelve years, have been together twelve years. She
- 17:43Speaker 2: found a test, the testing of the test, you know
- 17:46Speaker 2: when you're if you're with a single you might get
- 17:48Speaker 2: tested for things. He got tested for things, but he's
- 17:51Speaker 2: not single. So why is he gonna tested for things
- 17:53Speaker 2: if you're with your wife for twelve years?
- 17:55Speaker 1: And she doesn't understand.
- 17:57Speaker 2: He said, no, that was not She asked him, and
- 18:00Speaker 2: he's like, no, that was a test for a different
- 18:02Speaker 2: department of the body.
- 18:04Speaker 7: What okay? Anyway, So we have enough to go on.
- 18:08Speaker 2: But the premise here is she's been with him, there
- 18:12Speaker 2: should be no reason to test for anything like you
- 18:14Speaker 2: would if you were with other people. That's the bottom line, Leah.
- 18:17Speaker 2: He just say, Ryan, you my permission to call, and
- 18:19Speaker 2: then his name.
- 18:20Speaker 9: Go ahead, Yes, Ryan's my permission to call.
- 18:27Speaker 7: Okay, we're gonna call. Now, let's see what we can
- 18:28Speaker 7: find out. Be very quiet.
- 18:30Speaker 2: We're gonna ask him if he wants to send roses
- 18:32Speaker 2: to somebody. Let's see who he's thinking about. We might
- 18:35Speaker 2: get a name. Good luck, Here we go.
- 18:49Speaker 9: Hello.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Hi is this Nick?
- 18:53Speaker 6: Oh?
- 18:53Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 18:54Speaker 1: Hi, my name is Don. I'm calling from Divine Florals.
- 18:56Speaker 1: How are you doing this morning?

- 19:51Speaker 4: Okay.
- 19:51Speaker 1: What's the name of the person you want to send

- 19:55Speaker 7: Okay, it's my m A.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Why a Okay? And what I would you like to
- 20:04Speaker 1: put on the card?

- 20:12Speaker 7: thinking about yesterday.
- 20:13Speaker 8: You are trouble.
- 20:14Speaker 1: You are trouble, can't stop thinking about yesterday. But you
- 20:17Speaker 1: are trouble.
- 20:19Speaker 7: Nick, No, but no, not a butt.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Your voice is being broadcast in the radio and I've
- 20:24Speaker 2: got not Maya on the phone. But Leah, what would
- 20:27Speaker 2: you like to say to your wife, Leah about sending
- 20:30Speaker 2: those flowers to Maya?
- 20:33Speaker 9: Okay, I I gotta I actually gotta go, bro.
- 20:37Speaker 7: Nick Nick, Nick, you can't stop thinking about Maya?
- 20:41Speaker 2: Why is that? Is there a problem with Maya's? Is
- 20:43Speaker 2: everything okay with Maya?
- 20:44Speaker 1: He's gone?
- 20:46Speaker 7: Nick?
- 20:46Speaker 1: You yeah, obviously, Leah.
- 20:49Speaker 7: Okay, Leah, there you go.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Oh my god, I'm sorry. I know who.
- 21:01Speaker 8: This is too.
- 21:03Speaker 7: Who is Maya? Maya?
- 21:06Speaker 9: She does social media for me, like I run a
- 21:10Speaker 9: business out of my house and she comes here take pictures.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Oh my god, I's never in a million years like.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Okay, well, look you will go in and handle it
- 21:23Speaker 2: how you want to handle it. But you know it
- 21:26Speaker 2: is the woman that's in your circle there, and I'm
- 21:27Speaker 2: sorry to have to say that.
- 21:31Speaker 3: I got what I asked for.
- 21:32Speaker 1: I approve and I know who it's with. So it's
- 21:34Speaker 1: just it's time to start over.
- 21:36Speaker 5: Thank you, good luck, Leah, thank you.
- 21:40Speaker 7: You are trouble. I mean, come on.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Right there.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Now, he's in trouble.
- 21:50Speaker 7: On air with Ryan Seacrest, at least not add there
- 21:56Speaker 7: you go on Kiss FM.
- 21:59Speaker 2: I see it's nostalgic and it puts you in the
- 22:01Speaker 2: right head space, doesn't it.
- 22:03Speaker 1: It sure does.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Let me go to our intern Sophia. We were talking
- 22:07Speaker 2: about this all air sorority date parties. Toddya says she
- 22:11Speaker 2: did these all the time. I was not in the
- 22:14Speaker 2: Greek system at the University of Georgia, so my buddies
- 22:18Speaker 2: were doing all that, and I was working and going
- 22:21Speaker 2: to school and working at the time, so I couldn't
- 22:23Speaker 2: rush me too.
- 22:24Speaker 1: I was at the radio station and any chance I can,
- 22:27Speaker 1: any chance I got.
- 22:28Speaker 7: That's what the same I made that decision too.
- 22:30Speaker 2: It sounds fun kind of what y'all are doing, but
- 22:32Speaker 2: I don't know meat they're throwing meatballs at your head
- 22:35Speaker 2: or something.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Sometimes I worked on a ring show too when I
- 22:37Speaker 4: was in my sorority.
- 22:39Speaker 1: You don't have to like be us, No, I'm just.
- 22:42Speaker 4: Saying that you can do what you can. You can do,
- 22:45Speaker 4: you don't have to.
- 22:46Speaker 7: We're not putting you down.
- 22:47Speaker 2: We're just saying, okay, well, no, was like.
- 22:52Speaker 1: How did your brain go there? That was literally not
- 22:54Speaker 1: that at all.
- 22:56Speaker 2: We're not saying, ha, we were working and you weren't,
- 23:00Speaker 2: but you weren't working as much.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Obviously that's true, Sophia.
- 23:04Speaker 7: What is sorority dating? Date parties?
- 23:07Speaker 1: So a date.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Party is like an event, and I know some sororities
- 23:10Speaker 3: call them date parties, some of them call them date dashes,
- 23:13Speaker 3: but we call them date parties. And it happens once
- 23:16Speaker 3: a year, and it's this event that your sorority puts
- 23:18Speaker 3: on at like a certain place. So ours was at
- 23:20Speaker 3: this like glow in the Dark mini golf and we
- 23:23Speaker 3: just had it last week and everybody in the sorority
- 23:26Speaker 3: gets to attend and bring a plus one. So it's
- 23:29Speaker 3: like a supervun sisterhood event with everybody and my friends
- 23:33Speaker 3: and I we decided that we weren't going to take anybody.
- 23:36Speaker 3: We weren't going to take any dates, guys, friends, nothing.
- 23:38Speaker 3: We were just going to go with ourselves have a
- 23:40Speaker 3: girl's night. And then last minute, one of our friends
- 23:44Speaker 3: she showed up with a guy and hung out with
- 23:47Speaker 3: him the entire night.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Now, were you guys supportive about that? Were you not supportive?
- 23:52Speaker 1: We were not supportive.
- 23:53Speaker 3: We were not supportive because she was actually the one
- 23:55Speaker 3: who suggested we don't bring dates.
- 23:58Speaker 7: The drama makes you know she's bring a guy when
- 24:00Speaker 7: she said that so she could one up you.
- 24:02Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 24:03Speaker 3: I was kind of shocked when she showed up with
- 24:05Speaker 3: him because I had somebody in mind who I wanted
- 24:08Speaker 3: to bring, but I was like, let me be a
- 24:09Speaker 3: good friend, and like, I didn't take.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Anyone, Tommy, did this happen in your sorority dating parties?
- 24:16Speaker 7: Whatever they were?
- 24:16Speaker 4: We always brought dates?
- 24:18Speaker 6: Like it was like that was like the thing because
- 24:20Speaker 6: you only got to bring one, and every guy wanted
- 24:22Speaker 6: to come. So it was kind of like, yeah, we
- 24:25Speaker 6: always brought dates.
- 24:25Speaker 2: We never did did She'd stay with this guy the
- 24:28Speaker 2: whole time.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Yeah, the whole time, and she was to have the sorority.
- 24:33Speaker 5: No, I didn't rush.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Yeah, No, it was just really awkward.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Like when I would try to hang out with her,
- 24:44Speaker 3: it kind of just felt like a third wheel type thing.
- 24:47Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Well look, I mean, honestly, I'm not I don't know
- 24:49Speaker 2: about that, but I will say in my life, sometimes
- 24:52Speaker 2: I have such few nights where I can take someone
- 24:55Speaker 2: out and I want to see my friends, and sometimes
- 24:57Speaker 2: I'll hybrid it and I'll be like I have a
- 25:00Speaker 2: but I also want to hang with you guys, kind of.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Bring someone please? Not a first day.
- 25:07Speaker 7: This happened.
- 25:09Speaker 2: I have to explain that, like I don't in Some
- 25:13Speaker 2: weeks can go by and there's not a night to
- 25:14Speaker 2: do it unless I combine everybody.
- 25:17Speaker 1: That's so interesting. But I kind of get it.
- 25:20Speaker 4: I feel like it makes your date feel less important.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Hey, if they can't hang, then there's girls fair sisy.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Sometimes I'll do is like start on the date and
- 25:29Speaker 2: then merge with the friends.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Yeah that's cool, Okay, that's fine.
- 25:34Speaker 7: I'm getting warmer.
- 25:37Speaker 2: I don't I don't totally not understand what she did,
- 25:41Speaker 2: but feel like she pribabs more time.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Anyway, Thank you, good luck? What's your name?
- 25:45Speaker 7: No, don't say her name. We'll come back in one second,
- 25:47Speaker 7: because what is up?
- 25:49Speaker 2: Secret sysiny Tanya kind of waiting for all y'all to
- 25:53Speaker 2: get moving this morning, get the blood flowing so we
- 25:55Speaker 2: could rehash our Thanksgiving weekend. Somebody here, who do you
- 26:00Speaker 2: think is the most impatient about Thanksgiving?
- 26:03Speaker 7: Here? Wrong? Again? Wrong? The person here that.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Couldn't wait till Thursday to celebrate Thanksgiving Ciciy had to
- 26:15Speaker 2: do it a day early.
- 26:16Speaker 7: Patient, What did you do a day early.
- 26:19Speaker 1: It was only because we had plans on Friday, and
- 26:22Speaker 1: so we decided to move our Thanksgiving up one day
- 26:25Speaker 1: to be.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Got right there. I did it on Thursday. That's pushing
- 26:29Speaker 2: it a day early.
- 26:30Speaker 1: It was nice. And then on Thursday it was like
- 26:34Speaker 1: no pressure and no stress and we didn't have to
- 26:36Speaker 1: drive anywhere and it was great.
- 26:38Speaker 2: So we should be considering to alleviate Thursday pressure moving
- 26:43Speaker 2: the holiday up for all of us too with our families.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Maybe if it works with your family. So our family
- 26:48Speaker 1: on Michaels side of the family, we were going to
- 26:50Speaker 1: Disneyland on Friday and we were doing rope drops, so
- 26:52Speaker 1: we all ought to get up at like five in
- 26:53Speaker 1: the morning. And so his sister had the great idea.
- 26:56Speaker 1: She was like, why don't we do things even on
- 26:58Speaker 1: Wednesday so none of us are like hired or hungover
- 27:01Speaker 1: or anything. And it was perfect.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Did you know that Wednesday night is called drinksgiving? I
- 27:06Speaker 2: just read this, Oh my gosh.
- 27:07Speaker 1: It was like a tradition in our old high school,
- 27:09Speaker 1: Like you'd go back to Seal Beach and like mainstream,
- 27:11Speaker 1: we would just be like I would wake up with
- 27:13Speaker 1: one shoe, like out of.
- 27:14Speaker 2: That drink I guess something like New Year's Eve is
- 27:19Speaker 2: number one and number two is the day before Thanksgiving.
- 27:23Speaker 7: Yeah, assuming and buying.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Spirits and beverages. Tanya, how is your Thanksgiving?
- 27:29Speaker 1: It was really great.
- 27:30Speaker 6: I realized that if I ever need anything done in
- 27:34Speaker 6: our house or our home, that we need to host Thanksgiving.
- 27:37Speaker 6: Because my husband was literally buying every attachment for the
- 27:40Speaker 6: hose to like powerwash our house. He bought like a
- 27:43Speaker 6: thing to clean the cement in our backyard.
- 27:46Speaker 7: Or because he's got to put his best foot forward.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was really sweet. You can't see
- 27:51Speaker 1: how you really live.
- 27:52Speaker 2: You got to see how you got to perceive what
- 27:55Speaker 2: you want people to think you live by putting it
- 27:57Speaker 2: out there. The optics of Thanksgiving. Yeah, I realize is
- 28:00Speaker 2: that I like my church. A couple of things. Actually,
- 28:02Speaker 2: first of all, we have to get to it later.
- 28:03Speaker 2: But there were so many great things to binge watch.
- 28:05Speaker 7: I did it. All has changed. I did it in
- 28:10Speaker 7: two nights. I got it done in two nights.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Thanksgiving, I realized something about the Turkey that I'm going
- 28:16Speaker 2: to do next year. So for the first round of
- 28:19Speaker 2: the Turkey basic Turkey. I think you may have seen
- 28:21Speaker 2: a picture of it. It isn't Etania but basic turkey.
- 28:25Speaker 2: But my second round I wanted more. I went back
- 28:27Speaker 2: and I decided to chop it up like baby food
- 28:29Speaker 2: and pour the gravy into the baby food turkey and
- 28:33Speaker 2: make it like a porridge.
- 28:36Speaker 7: Have you ever attempted this?
- 28:37Speaker 1: I have not, but I am intrigued.
- 28:39Speaker 7: It is phenomenal.
- 28:42Speaker 2: It is the way to eat more. And also you
- 28:45Speaker 2: can have equal flavor with your your your turkey to
- 28:50Speaker 2: gravy ratio as opposed to like drizzling on top.
- 28:52Speaker 7: And putting a layer on top.
- 28:54Speaker 2: This seeps in between all the little Literally it's the
- 28:58Speaker 2: consistency of baby food and you make a mound of it.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Then you put your sauces all on top, or your
- 29:03Speaker 2: gravies all on top, your cranberry mix it in there.
- 29:05Speaker 6: It is.
- 29:05Speaker 2: It is my I only did it for the second round,
- 29:07Speaker 2: but I'm gonna do it my first round. You lost,
- 29:12Speaker 2: but it's a eureka moment.
- 29:13Speaker 4: It just sounds very moist, which I know you said baby.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Food and that just killed it.
- 29:18Speaker 7: Sorry, I don't know. I'm not familiar with baby food,
- 29:20Speaker 7: but it seemed like it would be about one.
- 29:21Speaker 2: It's like blended up like that well, it's just chopped.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Finally with stew it's porridgy. Yeah, okay, it was a
- 29:28Speaker 2: big and the other thing that we did we did
- 29:30Speaker 2: more of a friend's giving than all family. But the
- 29:34Speaker 2: one thing I realized that after we had our meal,
- 29:36Speaker 2: before we had our dessert, it was time to FaceTime everybody.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Everybody at this at the table, just FaceTime different people.
- 29:43Speaker 2: They're different family members in any part of the country,
- 29:45Speaker 2: different friends. This is something I'd never done before, but
- 29:48Speaker 2: I found it a nice buffer to digest meal before
- 29:51Speaker 2: dessert starts.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Yeah, that's cute. I'm not mad at that.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Everybody FaceTime and everybody, what do you? Let me see
- 29:58Speaker 2: your What are y'all doing? What do y'all eat? Let
- 29:59Speaker 2: me see your turkey? Let me let me see your stuffing? Right,
- 30:01Speaker 2: looks not so good? Look at this, every showing off
- 30:04Speaker 2: their sides.
- 30:05Speaker 6: Yeah, yesterday was the first time I ate something aside
- 30:08Speaker 6: from turkey mush patoes and cranberry sauce. I leftovers for
- 30:13Speaker 6: lunch and dinner for the three days after Thanksgiving we did.
- 30:16Speaker 2: We did the chopped turkey sandwiches, so I had the
- 30:18Speaker 2: baby food turkey sandwich is quite a nice touch and
- 30:20Speaker 2: I realized that if you don't toast the bread, the
- 30:22Speaker 2: sandwich doesn't keep. It does not as good the next day.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Like we kept the sandwiches too, and they get soggy.
- 30:27Speaker 2: But if you've toasted the bread, it's actually okay, the
- 30:29Speaker 2: right it's deconstructed, and then rebuild it.
- 30:31Speaker 7: Yeah, oh gosh, what do we have to look forward to?
- 30:35Speaker 7: Kind of everything?
- 30:36Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 30:36Speaker 1: Yeah, this linked give me it is jingle everything.
- 30:40Speaker 7: I know, kinda so much to look forward to now.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Don't get me started on January first, or even December
- 30:47Speaker 2: twenty sixth, because those are harder things to get through.
- 30:50Speaker 7: Those are harder days.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Today, we've got a tarmac of festivities ahead, including jingle Ball.
- 30:57Speaker 2: We'll get to that, including Hankkah and Christmas and Christmas Eve,
- 31:01Speaker 2: your birthday, all. Yeah, not celebrating that so much anymore, tany.
- 31:05Speaker 2: I don't know if I told you, oh, not really
- 31:08Speaker 2: celebrating that, Sisney. You'll explained to her later. Seacrest here
- 31:12Speaker 2: a trending report in a second, Tony, what do you
- 31:13Speaker 2: have coming up here in a minute.
- 31:15Speaker 6: Uh, it's the time that we start to challenge the
- 31:17Speaker 6: status quo, and it's all thanks.
- 31:19Speaker 2: To Olivia Dean m big fan. She's making waves all
- 31:23Speaker 2: over the world. So you watch The Beast in Me
- 31:25Speaker 2: over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Yes, Claire Danes is in it.
- 31:30Speaker 2: It's really good. I don't want to give anything away,
- 31:32Speaker 2: but is it worth it?
- 31:34Speaker 7: Yes? Do you not want it to end? You don't
- 31:37Speaker 7: want it to end?
- 31:38Speaker 1: I want to watch it again.
- 31:40Speaker 2: What was also the one it's my fault, she's my fault,
- 31:43Speaker 2: her fault, your fault, all her fault. Yeah, that was
- 31:45Speaker 2: pretty right up there as well for me. Yeah, and
- 31:48Speaker 2: I dipped into Kevin Hart. Oh, the Kevin Heart is
- 31:51Speaker 2: good too. Kevin Hart. I just want to shout Kevin
- 31:54Speaker 2: Hart out. You've known him for a long time. He's
- 31:57Speaker 2: a comedian. He's got he does, he's very busy, does
- 31:59Speaker 2: a lot of different things. The man's energy, the man's pace,
- 32:04Speaker 2: the man's velocity in which he delivers his comedy special
- 32:08Speaker 2: is at record velocity.
- 32:11Speaker 7: It is at record pace.
- 32:13Speaker 9: It is.
- 32:14Speaker 2: It's actually a study. I don't understand. And I could
- 32:16Speaker 2: appreciate this because I don't get it. I don't understand
- 32:19Speaker 2: it's called Kevin Hart acting my age on Netflix. I
- 32:21Speaker 2: do not understand how comedians in general can memorize two
- 32:25Speaker 2: hours two plus hours of material and hit every nuance
- 32:29Speaker 2: word to create the next line, to create the next joke,
- 32:33Speaker 2: to get the through line. He does it at a
- 32:35Speaker 2: speed of high bpms. His bpms are faster than triple
- 32:40Speaker 2: XL on the one Yeah, and he moans about hurting himself.
- 32:46Speaker 2: He moans about knee pain and growing pain. And he
- 32:49Speaker 2: lost something on his body. He lost something on his body.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Did you know you could lose this body part, Toddy?
- 32:55Speaker 2: Did you know you could lose as a guy?
- 32:56Speaker 7: You could lose this? No? Hear?
- 32:58Speaker 1: I heard that you could.
- 33:00Speaker 2: I didn't know that until I watched this Anatomy special
- 33:03Speaker 2: by Kevin Hart. So I to anybody that works with
- 33:09Speaker 2: Kevin or knows Kevin, will you call him and tell
- 33:11Speaker 2: him that we're just were fawning or let him know
- 33:14Speaker 2: or d m him? And I really would like to
- 33:16Speaker 2: ask him, how do you memory? How do you prepare
- 33:19Speaker 2: for something like that? Because preparation is key and everything
- 33:23Speaker 2: that we do no matter what job you have in
- 33:24Speaker 2: a way, and I'm a big fan of prep but man,
- 33:29Speaker 2: I don't think I'd be able to condition myself to
- 33:31Speaker 2: prep for something like that.
- 33:32Speaker 1: You don't think he has a little cheat sheet somewhere. No, no,
- 33:38Speaker 1: give him bullet points. No no, no, you don't know
- 33:42Speaker 1: how you know?
- 33:42Speaker 7: You don't know.
- 33:44Speaker 1: I'm being clib, but I'm telling you, no, you don't know.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Report Okay, good, all right? Someone call Kevin Hart's camp,
- 33:52Speaker 2: the Kevin Camp. No one's working on that, but somebody,
- 33:56Speaker 2: Amy Sugarman.
- 33:57Speaker 7: That's you, Tony. What do you got?
- 34:00Speaker 1: Okay?
- 34:00Speaker 6: So Olivia Dean, she is blowing up. She sings man
- 34:02Speaker 6: I Need, which we've been playing here on kiss.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Whatever the time ticket is.
- 34:19Speaker 7: Antony.
- 34:20Speaker 6: She has been super vocal about her desire to keep
- 34:23Speaker 6: tickets to her concerts as accessible as possible. After seeing
- 34:26Speaker 6: some of her tickets were being sold for over eight
- 34:29Speaker 6: hundred dollars, she took to Instagram, tagging Ticketmaster Live Nation ag.
- 34:34Speaker 6: This was the longer post, but this was kind of
- 34:36Speaker 6: the basis of it. She said, the prices at which
- 34:38Speaker 6: you're allowing tickets to be resold is vile and completely
- 34:42Speaker 6: against our wishes. Live music should be affordable and accessible,
- 34:46Speaker 6: and we need to find a new way of making
- 34:48Speaker 6: that possible. Well, Olivia one, Ticketmaster and Axs agreed to
- 34:53Speaker 6: refund the difference to anyone who paid over face value
- 34:56Speaker 6: for a ticket, and they're going to cap future ticket resale.
- 35:00Speaker 4: So people were really quick to praise.
- 35:02Speaker 6: Olivia for having her fans backs, but then they were
- 35:05Speaker 6: very quick to point fingers at all the big artists
- 35:08Speaker 6: who have been silent while their ticket prices were sold
- 35:11Speaker 6: for like well into the thousands of dollars, multiple thousands
- 35:14Speaker 6: of dollars these tickets were being sold, So fans were
- 35:17Speaker 6: being they were outraged, they were angry. But honestly, when
- 35:21Speaker 6: Olivia was posting this stuff, initially, I have to admit,
- 35:25Speaker 6: like I sat back and I was like, she's not
- 35:27Speaker 6: going to win this like this, it just is what
- 35:29Speaker 6: it is. This is how it is, and the fact
- 35:32Speaker 6: that she won was a big lesson to me, even
- 35:34Speaker 6: like you should challenge the status quo. Just because things
- 35:36Speaker 6: are the way they are doesn't mean that they.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Have to be that way.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Well, I think that's an interesting point because no matter
- 35:42Speaker 2: what it is that you might have been pushing back on,
- 35:44Speaker 2: if people have, you've said, well, why do we do
- 35:47Speaker 2: it that way or why is it.
- 35:48Speaker 7: Done that way?
- 35:49Speaker 2: And I've gotten the response, even at this company, well
- 35:52Speaker 2: that's just the way we've always done it, right, That's
- 35:54Speaker 2: just the way we've always done it. I can hear
- 35:57Speaker 2: at this place. I could tell you exactly who said
- 36:00Speaker 2: that to me a couple of times, but they're in
- 36:04Speaker 2: charge of me, so I cannot. And they're really my
- 36:05Speaker 2: boss is like, not just like the bosses, but they're
- 36:08Speaker 2: the real bosses of the right right, and I cannot.
- 36:11Speaker 2: But to their credit, they finally said, all right, maybe
- 36:15Speaker 2: we should do it differently, maybe we shouldn't do it
- 36:17Speaker 2: that way. And I think that you have to know
- 36:19Speaker 2: when to do it. You have to be pretty certain
- 36:21Speaker 2: that you're on the right track. But I think that
- 36:23Speaker 2: is true. She had the win. It's a good lesson
- 36:25Speaker 2: to a lot of us in different worlds, totally when
- 36:28Speaker 2: you think it could be done another way.
- 36:31Speaker 7: Olivia Dean, I'm a fan on air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 36:39Speaker 7: Ryan's roses is in the queue now. The beast in
- 36:43Speaker 7: me is worth it?
- 36:44Speaker 1: Oh yeah?
- 36:46Speaker 7: All her fault is that what's called worth it?
- 36:48Speaker 6: I have to say, you have been saying this forever,
- 36:51Speaker 6: and I I never fully understood it until.
- 36:54Speaker 1: The beast in me.
- 36:55Speaker 7: Don't don't say it yet then, because I'm kind of.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Are you gonna give it away for anybody who has Wait, she's.
- 37:01Speaker 7: Going to acknowledge something that I said that actually resonated.
- 37:04Speaker 1: You don't want her to say yet, no I do.
- 37:06Speaker 7: I'm like saying, let's just relish in the moment like
- 37:10Speaker 7: I made impact here with her.
- 37:12Speaker 9: You did.
- 37:13Speaker 6: Because Matthew Reese the actor, okay is I think he's
- 37:18Speaker 6: my favorite actor of all the actors on the planet.
- 37:21Speaker 6: I'm like obsessed with him.
- 37:23Speaker 7: Okay.
- 37:23Speaker 2: I have a couple of thoughts. Number One, I kept
- 37:25Speaker 2: thinking about him and Felicity. Yeah, his wife, Kerry Russell's
- 37:31Speaker 2: diplomat in this What is that like to be at
- 37:34Speaker 2: home together? I know they're in these two amazing series
- 37:38Speaker 2: at the same time, they weren't a series together. That's
- 37:40Speaker 2: how they met the Americans.
- 37:42Speaker 4: Amazing.
- 37:43Speaker 7: Yeah, he plays creepy so well that Mark. We should
- 37:47Speaker 7: invite We should invite him.
- 37:49Speaker 2: I don't know if you would accept, but it would
- 37:50Speaker 2: be amazing to talk to him about how great he
- 37:53Speaker 2: is in it, but also like nailing creepy?
- 37:57Speaker 7: Are you creepy?
- 37:58Speaker 1: How do you like act in real life? So whether
- 38:01Speaker 1: you don't act that way or does he act that way?
- 38:03Speaker 7: He has a strong Welsh accent always surprises me.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Oh right, well then even more of an interesting conversation.
- 38:10Speaker 2: How do you get rid of your accent and be
- 38:12Speaker 2: a creep at the same time?
- 38:15Speaker 1: Such a good creep?
- 38:16Speaker 7: I love that, But that sus you.
- 38:17Speaker 1: How good he is?
- 38:19Speaker 2: He can I'm always blown away by the no accent.
- 38:22Speaker 2: You loved it in What's that show that we were
- 38:24Speaker 2: talking about The Black Rabbit. No, he is a New
- 38:27Speaker 2: York accent. You try and get me to say one
- 38:30Speaker 2: phrase in Great Britain in London.
- 38:33Speaker 1: In London's.
- 38:37Speaker 5: One sentence and that's it, Like you keep a conversation
- 38:40Speaker 5: going anyway, but its sheern release this thing and just
- 38:43Speaker 5: quickly since it's a supposed to be one straight moment.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Yeah, the whole thing is pretty incredible. It opens up
- 38:50Speaker 1: with Ed alone on stage at the Hammerstein Ballroom in
- 38:54Speaker 1: New York City doing his thing, guitar, the loops, all
- 38:57Speaker 1: that stuff, and then he steps off into the city
- 39:00Speaker 1: where then he's said, there's a surprise engagement. There's cabs,
- 39:03Speaker 1: double decker buses, all that stuff. The special is marketed
- 39:06Speaker 1: as being filmed in one continuous take, and that's how
- 39:10Speaker 1: it appears when you're watching it. But people are already
- 39:13Speaker 1: debating whether it's actually true or not. Ed and the
- 39:16Speaker 1: director insist it really was shot in one long, uninterrupted
- 39:21Speaker 1: run through New York City, but critics and fans are
- 39:24Speaker 1: pointing out little moments where maybe they think there was
- 39:26Speaker 1: a hit and cut. And I love to try to
- 39:28Speaker 1: catch stuff like this when I'm watching it, but I couldn't.
- 39:30Speaker 1: I couldn't tell.
- 39:32Speaker 7: But let's not confuse the issue here. I haven't seen it.
- 39:34Speaker 7: I'm actually wanting that's on my list to do mysel.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Yeah, you'll love it.
- 39:38Speaker 7: I want to see that. I'm a big Edge Shearing fan.
- 39:41Speaker 7: But maybe what they are meaning here is he went.
- 39:45Speaker 2: It was one continuous move by ad through all these
- 39:48Speaker 2: different things, and they had cameras in different locations to
- 39:50Speaker 2: capture it along the way. But there was no stop
- 39:52Speaker 2: down reset from a shot. There was never right, and
- 39:57Speaker 2: you could still like you could still. I could walk
- 39:59Speaker 2: from here to downtown Burbank and you might use three cameras,
- 40:04Speaker 2: but I wouldn't stop walking, right, you see what I'm saying.
- 40:06Speaker 1: And there's shots where it's like a handheld you can
- 40:08Speaker 1: tell like it's being he's being followed, and then all
- 40:11Speaker 1: of a sudden it's like, oh no, it's like an
- 40:13Speaker 1: aerial view.
- 40:14Speaker 2: So it's like obviously like a drone, that's a right,
- 40:16Speaker 2: there's a big wide shot. So my point is he
- 40:18Speaker 2: didn't stop his ford momentum. They probably capture different shots
- 40:22Speaker 2: along the way. What's like a live sporting event for sure.
- 40:25Speaker 2: If you think of a sporting event, it doesn't stop.
- 40:28Speaker 2: They just use different angles.
- 40:29Speaker 1: No, but a sporting event you have different angles and cuts,
- 40:32Speaker 1: like you see the cuts like I'm telling you when
- 40:34Speaker 1: you're watching this stopping the game, When you're watching this,
- 40:37Speaker 1: you don't see the cut, like it never goes from him,
- 40:39Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden, it's his back and
- 40:41Speaker 1: it's like you know, it's it's it's one camera. It
- 40:44Speaker 1: seems that way, like I.
- 40:45Speaker 7: Don't think I care. I don't.
- 40:46Speaker 2: I'm not gonna watch it and be like upset. I
- 40:48Speaker 2: think totally fine watching it. I was gonna do it
- 40:51Speaker 2: for us friends, is Tanya. Welcome back to Monday, Welcome
