SPEAKER_04: Okay, let me ask you one question.
• 0:07
SPEAKER_01: The North Florida sports North Florida Sports Florida The North Florida Sporting Networks Hey you gotta give us your shot You know what you're gonna do The North Florida Sports Networks And then there were four the final four is dead and the last spot Wow it was dramatic legendary finish legendary headbutt oh yeah Yeah exactly I mean that's crazy Never seen a shot like that never seen a coach face mash a referee right with point three on the clock and nothing I mean what the he exactly the guy is straight up loony bin yeah he's insane an insane even like I don't have any friends nobody likes me but I don't care because I don't like anybody yeah I mean he just put his forehead right on what was his name Roger Ayers right yeah our guy nose to nose and I guarantee you he gave him like a grunt or like a hard breast honestly that's credit to Roger I guess yeah I think he was just so stunned by it well you don't want to call that I would call it so quick I mean yeah he would I mean if he could have called it right and it would have been the last time would have been like oh man you called it but damn yeah you put your head right to him right and this this he's already been fined one time this year for for making head contact with his head on an official during a game that season like a kid that's just not being gonna get told what to do right he's Lou Pinella as a baseball coach sweet Lou Bobby Cox of the basketball world and that game Yukon Duke is what we're talking about Dan Hurley after the three hit the shot there's still time left on the clock 0.3 they ended up putting another you know I think there were 0.5 seconds left half the dead and he goes the official just goes right up to him and not asking him a question no there is no no verbal communication whatsoever so awkward yeah like it it's wow well but anyway up 19 Duke choked it away there's no other way to put it that's two years in a row for Gire where he's been close yeah you have the best player in the best freshman last year it was yeah even worse almost but just the way this one finished it's gonna be remembered forever this one is gonna be argued as the best shot in March Menace history.
• 3:17
SPEAKER_01: Right up there with Leitner's I got it it's gonna be Leitner's well yeah there's gonna that's what I'm saying it's gonna be the spur of the moment there's gonna there's people already saying it is yeah and they drew the way it the way it happened and just like the odds of one team their odds of winning compared to that the winning probability was like 99.9 I mean they just they had to score I mean it was just the way it happened.
• 3:45
SPEAKER_01: Right and they they took a timeout and drew up a play pass and it was like a but wow and but that that had the the finish that was at the buzzer so you had like Leitner running right with the shot you know oh my gosh you know like that that look this one you had still had technically time on the clock but yeah in terms of the outcome of the game sudden change and then he missed that free throw.
• 4:15
SPEAKER_01: Yeah he missed the first one so it's like oh it's over yeah it's it's like dude it's over it's over all Duke has to do unless they miss both of theirs but then they still have to make a shot and get the ball in and go down.
• 4:29
SPEAKER_01: But no uh when Caden Boozer got the ball there's no like the game was over.
• 4:35
SPEAKER_01: Yeah when he had the ball in out right away they tried to get the steal and the trap didn't work but that was the time where you either call a timeout if you're boozer or hold on to the ball onto the ball and get up in the air.
• 4:51
SPEAKER_01: Jump ball goes to UConn in that situation but yeah don't do what you did.
• 4:57
SPEAKER_01: Yeah which was try to throw the ball over the top because you did see two guys open and that would have won the game but it opened the only door to lose right and credit to Yukon though uh they got it to their guy Katzman or whatever what's his name whatever no Mullins Brayley Mullins Mullins gave it to his the guy caravan caravan yeah and credit to him he didn't he didn't rush it and uh and you know he didn't just you a lot of times you you've seen I've seen it before like oh just a guy oh I got the ball I gotta take this shot no he went no I don't have it because I don't have it I'm I'm gonna go back to you yeah and the only freshman with that contributes for that team with juniors and seniors nailed it just nailed it I mean it you can hear the net on all like the sound bites of it yeah it's amazing UConn was able to pull off the shocker and come back it's like what wait a second Charles Barkley said halftime there's no way they can come back I was like oh man yeah they're gonna I I get that you get that Chuck putting his foot in his mouth curse man like well they probably told him to do it we didn't to his to his credit network and there had been 134 games where a sick a a one seed had been up by 15 points at half more great in the first half yeah it looked like they were getting better they were getting their guys back nobody's ever none of them have ever lost like a one seed has never lost when they've been up by 15 or more at half in the history of the tournament as good as I mean I feel bad for the kid because you know I mean Yeah that's his legacy.
• 6:53
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 6:53
SPEAKER_01: And I I agree with you like you said that he's he's gonna have to leave Duke man.
• 6:57
  SPEAKER_01: Why not?
• 6:58
SPEAKER_01: But his brother his brother's going to the NBA he made the clutch shot when they were only up by one yeah he did what he did you know he shuffled his feet and he you know there's elbowed his way up and he went down and made he made the shot they didn't call any fouls he made the he had to he had to make a shot amazingly didn't call any fouls he did it and then they went down and UConn wasn't able to only hit one free throw so Duke's up two with the ball with 10 seconds left.
• 7:31
SPEAKER_01: Yeah like dude you don't you like he panicked and they had a timeout he panicked and I you know you just feel for it because he thought in the moment because you could kinda at first there's this we gotta get it real quick and then the urgency kind of relaxed a little bit because they were able to get a few passes and the clock was able to go down and I think UConn was trying to foul but they were they able to pass but that kid shit his pants as soon as he got the ball man yeah all he saw with the teammates that were wide open he didn't you know you got two guys for UConn in front of you yeah he reacted instead of just saying hey I'm gonna he didn't want to go to the line or something but he because that's what that was right.
• 8:21
SPEAKER_02: And he didn't he didn't even dribble he didn't even try to get out of the way of the defenders he just tried to throw the ball through them you could have gone to a fetal position.
• 8:28
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 8:29
SPEAKER_01: He panicked he choked you don't expect it out of a kid that's you Yukon did exactly the opposite yeah they didn't panic.
• 8:40
SPEAKER_01: No they didn't panic they say they took they played like nothing to lose and they're all right here we go and they chipped away they didn't make any threes pretty much they had like one until the end they made four or five yeah incredible yeah it was a game man it's the only one of the games that was any good yeah they're gonna be playing Illinois who I who's going for the first time in 21 years since they lost in the uh title game to UNC Darren Williams Lutherhead D Brown watch out for them they got Stoyakovich his kid two kid two twins from Croatia they're gonna be playing UConn though Michigan Michigan is gonna roll Michigan's playing Arizona those are the two dominant those are the two one seeds yeah uh Arizona coach was likely on his way to North Carolina after this tournament's over be UNC's new coach so that'll I I mean that's it's it sucks for the kids at Arizona that it's gonna take away from you know their trip to the Final Four but it it it's gonna be Michigan.
• 9:54
SPEAKER_01: They're gonna win win the whole thing probably whoever wins that game but you never know you got UConn can make can muck it up there's nothing that said they should have won that game but they did.
• 10:10
SPEAKER_01: Next thing you know they did.
• 10:12
SPEAKER_01: Right I mean they didn't even play good no they didn't and that's that's the thing well they could play I mean they didn't shoot well and they play that defense their big man Terrace Reed like he played better than anybody in the game well those two Yukon or Illinois is gonna be a formidable opponent for Michigan or uh or Arizona but the winner of that game will be the clear favorite.
• 10:43
SPEAKER_02: Michigan rolled big time Arizona had a was down I think at half but then they dominated the suffocated them Arizona plays defense man I was looking forward to a potential camboozer against Pete for Arizona the two you know six foot eight not tall enough to really be a big man but still just brick shit house down there in the paint.
• 11:14
SPEAKER_01: Very frustrating if you're a Duke fan man that one hurts.
• 11:18
SPEAKER_01: Yeah well and if you're Yukon that's probably the most memorable moment even though you've won six national championships since 99.
• 11:27
SPEAKER_01: Right and then you you potentially you've like won some ugly ones.
• 11:30
SPEAKER_02: Well you're potentially going for your third title in four years.
• 11:33
SPEAKER_01: Yeah and but just the way that happened that's gonna be a glory that's still gonna be the one you remember and it's gonna be in all the highlight reels.
• 11:42
SPEAKER_01: Yep well baseball yeah tragic stuff man tragic stuff the Knowles took two or three from Duke but in the Saturday game the star of the team the leader of the team first baseman Miles Bailey slid into second and broke his ankle and he's gonna be out for the year.
• 12:17
SPEAKER_02: Yeah he's already had surgery so you could just feel it the Sunday game just like a somber in the air it it was in terms of the crowd reaction it's the exact same thing when when Jordan Travis went down in football.
• 12:36
SPEAKER_01: Yeah there was I mean it was completely silent I yeah man he just sucks it was awesome to watch it was he was fun to watch he was easily the most enjoyable thing about the team just they were just tweaking the lineup to try to where you know he could benefit others in the lineup and it all centered around him and now that's what's so crazy is yeah you could see it starting to develop that game especially yeah you know not him at the two hole right and he does what he does he gets a double then he hits a home run is 13th on the year accident man it happens then they walk him three times you know they load the bases to not pitch to him and ends up netting Florida State three runs like he'll be back he will in terms of of what happens for the rest of the season like 80% of the offensive production is gone.
• 13:34
SPEAKER_01: Well yeah there's a players have to step up it's hard to even imagine them making a run without this guy from what we've seen so far.
• 13:48
SPEAKER_02: Right I mean it the the season's half over up to this point it's unquestionable like Bailey carried the team offensively so you're gonna like the pitching's gonna have to be better.
• 14:06
SPEAKER_02: Mendez has been solid you know this weekend Beard and Moore both both struggled a little bit the the guys you needed to make the next jump coming into the year and and you know from last year none of them have done that in fact you can make the argument that there's been a lot of regression in the lineup.
• 14:32
SPEAKER_02: So we'll see man but the schedule gets real serious for the next 26 games next man up every man up yeah every the team's gotta just step up you're not gonna replace the power no so you gotta figure out how to how to generate a different kind of offense going to have to start actually getting base hits and screw this long ball stuff.
• 15:02
SPEAKER_01: Get on base keep it keep it going next man up in the lineup you gotta keep the lineup rolling have good at bats you know this team strikes out a lot yeah you gotta start eliminating that yeah play a little scrappy you can afford to do that when you got a guy that can come up there and and put three runs on the board multiple times a game but you don't have that anymore Stetson is their midweek opponent and that's down in the land and they're at Virginia so Thursday night ultimately tested this week next week after Florida so it's gonna be right off the bat man no pun intended it sucks though I feel bad for Miles yeah I did like you know Link Jared mentioned that uh when he went to see him at the hospital like it's all he really wanted to know is what they were gonna do in the lineup.
• 16:11
SPEAKER_01: Oh he's he's he's put a lot of work in the kids he's gotten better since high school in his first year he's gotten better like he's only improved.
• 16:21
SPEAKER_01: Right 13 bombs on the air he was leading the ACC in wall a couple of those walks the bats he had there were really impressive yeah like he doesn't when he starts when he starts doing that that's when that's big league.
• 16:38
SPEAKER_01: Yeah we had to go our rod was here we got a uh shuttle well we gotta get on out of here our rod's here but before we go I think wanna talk about football or anything football uh that's a stupid sport NBA standings update pistons on the one seed in the east Celtics are the two is anybody gonna beat Nick Thunder come on man Cavs four Raptors five hawks six and then the play in teams are the Sixers Magic Heat and Hornet those ten teams are locked I guess team can change but it looks like it's gonna be the Stickers Magic Heat and Orange and the playing in the Western Conference the Thunder are your one seed the Spurs that's who's gonna match up against them that's gonna be a hell of a matchup if they they meet in the Western Conference finals.
• 17:52
SPEAKER_01: Wimpy Yep there in the two seed the Lakers have been on a little surge lately there in the three the Nuggets four Timberwolves five Rockets six the stuns are you playing with the Clippers Trailblazers and the Warriors and those 10 teams are locked as well and it looks like it would be the stuns clippers trailblazers and warriors in the Western plate so there you have it but yeah that the uh as far as can even your question is can anybody beat the thunder I think this first game nobody in the east dog no maybe Boston maybe yeah I'll see you when I believe I mean now they get they have Tatum back but other than that's another Duke guy but it you know dude Cunningham's out for the Pistons and I think for the first round so Nick's up and down it's gonna be a West it's gonna be the thunder feel it shout for the Hawks the Hawks well we got a lot of games baseball basketball we'll watch them watch them all we'll react to them and we'll talk to you next time right here on the North Florida Sports Network you understand you gotta give us a shot you know what you
