- 3:26Speaker 1: and then something happened to me, and I believe it
- 3:29Speaker 1: has happened to a lot of people, and we are
- 3:31Speaker 1: going to get into it. We have Timespisicans who right now,
- 3:34Speaker 1: what happened to you?
- 3:34Speaker 11: Kyle?
- 3:36Speaker 3: A little over a year ago, or maybe even two
- 3:38Speaker 3: years ago. Now, I had pulled my car in halfway
- 3:41Speaker 3: into the garage and Scott did not know that I
- 3:44Speaker 3: was home, came in around the corner.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Hit the garage door.
- 3:49Speaker 3: He thought it was going open, but it actually closed
- 3:51Speaker 3: on the back window of my car and crushed the window.
- 3:55Speaker 3: That window, to this day is still crushed. Because I
- 3:58Speaker 3: was told it's going to cost two thousand dollars to fix.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Expensive mistake. An expensive mistake.
- 4:04Speaker 1: We're going to get into the most expensive mistake eight seven,
- 4:08Speaker 1: seven nine three seven four seven. I had an expensive
- 4:12Speaker 1: mistake happened last night that kept me up all night.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Michelle, If you have an expensive mistake.
- 4:19Speaker 10: Was it for Michelle?
- 4:19Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 4:21Speaker 10: Oh hey yeah. So actually my brother's mistake, and it's
- 4:25Speaker 10: a pretty bad one. So he hired somebody to vernmodel
- 4:29Speaker 10: his entire backyard and he paid him seven thousand dollars
- 4:34Speaker 10: and my parents told him, you never do that. You
- 4:36Speaker 10: never pay for it up front. He's like, oh, it's okay.
- 4:39Speaker 10: So the guy a week later gets deported.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Oh man, yeah he's not that job.
- 4:46Speaker 10: He wasn't done, and he lost his money, and my
- 4:49Speaker 10: parents were like, you see, we told you. He's like,
- 4:51Speaker 10: oh see it as a donation. I mean, what is
- 4:53Speaker 10: he going to do now?
- 4:55Speaker 2: Attitude?
- 4:57Speaker 10: Yeah, so never pay for work up front.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I did that.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I actually paid for a plumber a year ago. I
- 5:04Speaker 1: have this dog toilet we put in and it stopped working.
- 5:07Speaker 1: And I met this guy that said he could fix anything.
- 5:09Speaker 1: So I paid him up front and he never showed up.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I even texted him three days ago like, hey man,
- 5:15Speaker 1: he goes, you're on my list. It'll be a year
- 5:20Speaker 1: about a week Michelle hold on a lie thanks Michelle.
- 5:27Speaker 1: It's a dog toilet in the backyard. Just that alone
- 5:29Speaker 1: is a bizarre sentence. Is a toilet that, like, you
- 5:32Speaker 1: know how you scoop up poop and you put it
- 5:33Speaker 1: in a bag. I found this company that you you
- 5:36Speaker 1: press a button and a toilet lists up and it
- 5:38Speaker 1: goes right into sewer.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Sewer, so it's easier to do it.
- 5:41Speaker 4: I'm still scooping it up.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Stillo put it in the You just press a button
- 5:44Speaker 1: with your foot and it opens up the little round.
- 5:46Speaker 1: It was really really cool, and it worked for a
- 5:48Speaker 1: week because it was put in wrong.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Surprise surprise, yeah, shocker.
- 5:52Speaker 1: It was put in wrong by the pool company, and
- 5:55Speaker 1: so it doesn't work and nobody can fix it. I've
- 5:58Speaker 1: had I've had many plumbers come out, but this one
- 6:00Speaker 1: guy said he could do it.
- 6:01Speaker 4: When your mistake, had a pool company do it, not
- 6:03Speaker 4: a pool company do it.
- 6:04Speaker 1: But that's not even a mistake to have a last night.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I got an over last night anyway. The next keyword
- 6:09Speaker 1: for a thousand bucks is coming up in about six minutes.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Kiss is going to pay your bills. But we want
- 6:12Speaker 1: to get into the most expensive mistake you've ever made.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Inspired by Kyle eight seven seven ninety three seven one
- 6:18Speaker 1: O four to seven.
- 6:19Speaker 2: We'll talk to you after tam Impolo is ridicular.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I want to hear from you about your most expensive
- 6:28Speaker 1: mistake based off of Kyle here because her husband's garage
- 6:32Speaker 1: door closed on her back window and smashed it.
- 6:34Speaker 2: She won't get it fixed. Roxy, your expensive mistake? What
- 6:37Speaker 2: is it?
- 6:39Speaker 11: Very stupid thing? I was setting up for yard sale
- 6:41Speaker 11: three am in the morning to put up signs, and
- 6:44Speaker 11: without looking I backed into my brother's car, not like
- 6:49Speaker 11: you know, ten miles an hour, I like Florida because
- 6:51Speaker 11: I was trying to get out in the streets. Oh thousands,
- 6:55Speaker 11: thousands of dollars worth of damage and I have the
- 6:57Speaker 11: newer car, so I basically had it eat it, not hire.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Okay, that's an expensive mistake. Oh yeah it was, thanks
- 7:05Speaker 1: Roxy Tawani. What's your expensive mistake?
- 7:10Speaker 4: Hi, guys.
- 7:11Speaker 7: So, my husband and I were sent on a honeymoon
- 7:15Speaker 7: and it was like one of those timeshare things where
- 7:18Speaker 7: you go but you have to go to the timeshare situation,
- 7:22Speaker 7: and we were convinced that we were not going to
- 7:25Speaker 7: buy this time share, but by the end of it,
- 7:27Speaker 7: we actually told the guy that we would slip a
- 7:30Speaker 7: corder and if it landed on heads, we would buy
- 7:35Speaker 7: the timeshare. And it did, and we ended up buying
- 7:38Speaker 7: a fifteen thousand dollars time share by flipping a quarter.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Oh god, She's like, we're not soling for this. Sure,
- 7:45Speaker 4: we'll sit for your meeting, then we're going to the pool.
- 7:48Speaker 5: It was so bad.
- 7:49Speaker 7: I just wanted to go on the turtle like cruise
- 7:52Speaker 7: because you got to go on like this boat ride
- 7:54Speaker 7: to see the turtles if you sat through the timeshare meeting.
- 7:57Speaker 7: And we didn't even go on the turtle boat ride.
- 7:59Speaker 7: We just it up with the timeshare over the flipped quarter.
- 8:02Speaker 4: And how many times have you had to go back
- 8:04Speaker 4: there for your vacation.
- 8:07Speaker 9: We tried to.
- 8:08Speaker 7: Make it work. It didn't work out like the guy
- 8:11Speaker 7: kind of told us it was going to. We eventually
- 8:14Speaker 7: did get out of it, but yeah, it was a
- 8:16Speaker 7: fifteen thousand dollars quarter flipping mistake.
- 8:19Speaker 5: I can twenty that much.
- 8:20Speaker 1: That's unbelievable. You know, it's funny. I saw a story today.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Let me ask you this, Tony. It says, if you
- 8:25Speaker 1: had a choice between instantly receiving fifty thousand dollars or
- 8:29Speaker 1: flipping a coin for a fifty percent chance to win,
- 8:33Speaker 1: to win one million dollars?
- 8:35Speaker 2: What would you pick? I say that again, you cut out.
- 8:41Speaker 7: I probably flipped the coin again.
- 8:44Speaker 2: What do you what do you guys think? What would
- 8:45Speaker 2: you do? Peyton?
- 8:45Speaker 4: I would probably take the fifty thousand up?
- 8:47Speaker 11: Frank?
- 8:47Speaker 2: What about you? Kyle?
- 8:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I would take the guaranteed money.
- 8:50Speaker 2: What were you about? You were flipped the coin? You know,
- 8:52Speaker 2: it's funny with the mind.
- 8:54Speaker 4: I mean, that's a big that's a life changer.
- 8:56Speaker 3: It's still fifty percent, don't exactly, And then I'd be
- 8:59Speaker 3: so matt myself.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I had fifty exactly, sixty five percent of Americans would
- 9:04Speaker 1: take the guaranteed fifty thousand.
- 9:06Speaker 2: The rest would flip the coin.
- 9:08Speaker 4: I don't think I want to like take that's a
- 9:09Speaker 4: chance that I want to.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Tony would totally slipped the coins. She did it for
- 9:12Speaker 2: a time share.
- 9:14Speaker 7: The guy still talked about it like they still have
- 9:16Speaker 7: to be talking about they are for the time share.
- 9:19Speaker 7: He didn't even have a quarter we had. They had
- 9:20Speaker 7: to go find one.
- 9:22Speaker 2: That's when you guys should have left that.
- 9:24Speaker 7: Yeah, No, for real?
- 9:26Speaker 2: And what was it? What city was it in? What
- 9:27Speaker 2: vacation destination?
- 9:29Speaker 7: We were in the Virgin Islands. Yeah, we were down
- 9:35Speaker 7: in the Virgin Islands and it was Yeah, he sold us.
- 9:40Speaker 6: I think his name was Scott.
- 9:41Speaker 7: Shout out to Scott.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Thanks Tonny, best salesman.
- 9:46Speaker 5: In the world.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Oh, by, what a story, Chloe, What about you?
- 9:50Speaker 1: Most expensive mistake, Chloe?
- 9:56Speaker 9: Sorry, my most expensive mistake. Technically it was my dad's.
- 10:01Speaker 9: Me and my mom benefited from it very well, though
- 10:04Speaker 9: I will say my dad, very drunkenly one night, had
- 10:09Speaker 9: bought me and my mom ten thousand dollars airs tour
- 10:12Speaker 9: floor seat tickets in Toronto.
- 10:16Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 10:17Speaker 10: Wow, did he like wake up with like the worst
- 10:20Speaker 10: hangover in like immediate regret.
- 10:24Speaker 9: I hope not, because we're so happy.
- 10:26Speaker 2: But maybe that was the final show, wasn't it?
- 10:32Speaker 9: If Vancouver was the final show, so we're like right
- 10:34Speaker 9: before that, but it was still like such an amazing show.
- 10:38Speaker 2: What a what a core memory though, I mean lucky
- 10:41Speaker 2: for this.
- 10:41Speaker 9: Yeah, And I don't know if you guys remember at all.
- 10:45Speaker 9: Back in like twenty ten, twenty eleven, you guys did
- 10:48Speaker 9: an event a Macyo's like the Sinko to Mayo, the
- 10:51Speaker 9: wind Taylor slip ticket. Ye, me and my dad he
- 10:55Speaker 9: had taken me out of school. I was like in
- 10:56Speaker 9: first grade. He took me out of school to go
- 10:59Speaker 9: win Taylor Ship take gets.
- 11:01Speaker 6: He like dunked his head in the Mayo.
- 11:06Speaker 9: We were there for that too, So.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Did you get the tickets?
- 11:10Speaker 5: We did it.
- 11:11Speaker 9: It's funny though he did pull the number thirteen.
- 11:14Speaker 4: Oh wow, so kind of it paid off years later.
- 11:18Speaker 4: He just had to pay for it.
- 11:21Speaker 2: What a great dad? A drinking problem. Yeah, that's awesome,
- 11:27Speaker 2: That is awesome. Wow.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Well, thanks for calling in, Chloy, Thanks for sharing that memory.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Thanks for listening.
- 11:33Speaker 9: Yeah, thank you so much.
- 11:34Speaker 4: We don't remember what happened yesterday on the show, but
- 11:36Speaker 4: we remember sink full of Mayo.
- 11:40Speaker 2: There's a whole bunch of more people online. But can
- 11:42Speaker 2: it get better than that?
- 11:43Speaker 1: I mean, that's pretty good, right, I mean, Dylan, are
- 11:46Speaker 1: there better calls than that?
- 11:48Speaker 2: There are? Okay, Claire, most expensive mistake?
- 11:54Speaker 8: Go ahead, Hi, Claire, Claire.
- 11:59Speaker 12: Hi, Okay, So I have story. When I was fifteen,
- 12:02Speaker 12: I was kind of an Eclipso phase, and so I
- 12:10Speaker 12: went into a c way and I sotole a sixty
- 12:16Speaker 12: nine cent donut and I thought, I like I was
- 12:21Speaker 12: walking out the store like yeah, I got my donut
- 12:25Speaker 12: and a secret shopper turns around and says, you got
- 12:28Speaker 12: to come back here. They bring me into like the
- 12:31Speaker 12: back and they they call my parents. My parents have
- 12:33Speaker 12: to come pick me up. And a sixteen donut turned
- 12:37Speaker 12: into one hundred and fifty dollars donut because I had
- 12:40Speaker 12: to pay a fine.
- 12:43Speaker 4: That's a life lesson.
- 12:46Speaker 6: Yeah, it was.
- 12:46Speaker 12: I never stole after that.
- 12:49Speaker 2: You learned a lesson, Thanks Claire. Barbara. Most expensive mistake?
- 12:55Speaker 5: Hi, can you hear me?
- 12:56Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 12:57Speaker 5: Okay, So it wasn't my miss but it was my husband.
- 13:02Speaker 5: He purchased a six and flip side unseen about three
- 13:06Speaker 5: hours out of town, and after closing, we went to
- 13:09Speaker 5: go see this gym that he purchased that we were
- 13:11Speaker 5: going to work on, and he ended up having to
- 13:14Speaker 5: pay to have the whole thing flattened in themlish a gym.
- 13:18Speaker 5: It looked great from the outside, but when we looked
- 13:21Speaker 5: inside there was zero foundations and the rafters were being
- 13:26Speaker 5: held up with a twelve foot two by four.
- 13:33Speaker 2: How much did that cost?
- 13:35Speaker 5: Oh about fifty thousand?
- 13:38Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, thank you, Barbara. Amy. What's your most
- 13:43Speaker 2: expensive mistake? Amy?
- 13:48Speaker 4: Hey?
- 13:48Speaker 8: Are you there?
- 13:49Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 13:50Speaker 8: Hey? So I was really busy, and I was just
- 13:53Speaker 8: kind of paying my bills and uh, you know when
- 13:56Speaker 8: you go online to pay your credit card bill and
- 13:58Speaker 8: you're like, yeah, I'm going to pay X amount on this.
- 14:02Speaker 8: If you're really busy and you don't push the right button,
- 14:05Speaker 8: even though you put in that number, it will pay
- 14:07Speaker 8: off your entire balance of your credit card bill straight
- 14:09Speaker 8: through your bank account. So just so blessing for the wife. Yeah,
- 14:14Speaker 8: that went really badly. It was about it was about
- 14:17Speaker 8: four grand. So I just it was my my airline
- 14:23Speaker 8: credit card that I used to rack up my points,
- 14:25Speaker 8: and so I was like, well, okay, fine, I mean,
- 14:28Speaker 8: obviously it's fine. It went true, but at the same time,
- 14:31Speaker 8: it was like that that was a little painful.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Amy, thanks for calling in wanting to pay that much.
- 14:37Speaker 2: None of those three were better than a titter swift.
- 14:39Speaker 8: One fifty thousand dollars.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Still, but then the whole story of the titter Swift day,
- 14:44Speaker 1: that was like, that was a good out. If I
- 14:45Speaker 1: was a consultant, I would tell us to get we
- 14:47Speaker 1: should have, but we even acknowledged taking the door. If
- 14:49Speaker 1: you did not know, I know, what do you do?
- 14:52Speaker 2: My bad
