- 0:00Welcome back to another edition of the Be Forever Cool podcast.
- 0:03My name is Rex 45. Tonight we got the real Luis
- 0:06Ortega. We got Reese from Attack Yamaha
- 0:09Performance. We got TJ from 2 Wheels and
- 0:11Coffee. What's going on, fellas?
- 0:13How's everyone doing? Let's start with TJ.
- 0:17You know, got a whole week off of Reese and then you know,
- 0:20refresh the September 1st. You know, it's still cool up
- 0:25here. Something is over, like I said,
- 0:27but I'm excited get back to watching Moto VP8 World Super
- 0:31Bike and then following weak Moto America.
- 0:34It's getting tight end of the year racing so looking forward
- 0:38to it. Yeah, it's a lot cold up there,
- 0:41man. I was just up there.
- 0:42I just got back this morning and I had the heat on over the
- 0:45weekend. I went to a, a, a a party for,
- 0:51for some of the fellas I know. Shout out to the big D crew.
- 0:54And you know, it was, it was chilly up in Boston, man.
- 0:57I don't know what's going on, but it wasn't usually this cold,
- 1:00that cold up there. But it was a little chilly, man.
- 1:02So did you put the bike up yet? Are you?
- 1:04Are you, are you going to wait it out?
- 1:06Oh no, no, I, I ride until it gets at least 40° or you started
- 1:14got to put on heated gear and stuff like that.
- 1:16But you know, joyriding, let's say is not as much, you know,
- 1:23can't, can't go joyriding. You know it's just A to B
- 1:25really. Got you.
- 1:27Is that is is joyriding a code for you?
- 1:30You're working a lot. You know, I mean, you can't
- 1:34really joyride on the streets, man, that now knowing the track
- 1:37and stuff like that, like the ground's cold, you can't really
- 1:41do much, you know, so. That's what's up, Reese, man,
- 1:45what's going on? How you doing where you are in
- 1:47the world? You know, you got a few zip
- 1:49codes I think. Yeah, man, you know, out here in
- 1:53Oregon heading down to Huntington Beach, but you know,
- 1:58living the life, man. Can't complain.
- 2:00Just finished testing so now they're in Podium Club so we're
- 2:04good to go. I was going to say, I mean, you
- 2:06know, if it was any other time in the year, you might be able
- 2:09to say you can complain, but you you boys are you guys are you
- 2:13guys are right there. So we're going to dive into it
- 2:16and see how things are progressing.
- 2:18There's a few more rounds left and and a lot of races actually.
- 2:22So you know, we'll dive into that.
- 2:24Lewis, what's good, man? How you doing man?
- 2:27I'm good, I'm good. I'm here and also in California,
- 2:31where Reese is headed. I'm here for a few days for work
- 2:34and yeah, that's it here in another wonderful shitty motel
- 2:39somewhere. Come on, man, as you know, isn't
- 2:46that life just a wonderful, you know, And then I, I have you.
- 2:51I mean, you must have gotten to the point where you forget which
- 2:53room you're in, your room number, right?
- 2:55Let's put it this way, I've traveled so much that I've been
- 2:58in the same room multiple times in different states.
- 3:02Like I've been doing the road thing for a long time, not just
- 3:05in this industry, but in other industries.
- 3:08And when you travel to similar cities, you if I go to a city
- 3:13that I've never been to before, I book one night only at a hotel
- 3:17just in case that hotel sucks. I don't have to stay there the
- 3:19entire stay. And after that first night, if
- 3:22it's good, then I'll book additional nights.
- 3:25If not, I'll book one night at another hotel.
- 3:28So these are the little things you learn as you live on the
- 3:31road is you know how to find good places to stay, good places
- 3:35to eat. So I have a map of like
- 3:36everywhere I travel, like where I should stay.
- 3:40OK, all right, So you know you got, do you have a guitar case
- 3:42full with stickers on it? No, no, no, no, I don't.
- 3:46I don't try to make it too obvious, but I got a lot of
- 3:50miles on my American Airlines frequent flyer.
- 3:54That's what's up, man. You know, we got we'll we'll
- 3:57book a trip later this year somewhere.
- 3:58I got some points too. Speaking of points and trips,
- 4:03you know, between world super bike, Moto GP, Moto America and
- 4:08I'm pretty sure there's a lot of other racing that are either
- 4:10ending or coming close to the end of the season and stuff like
- 4:14that. It's been a long time that Moto
- 4:19GP, World Super Bike and World America, you know, been coming
- 4:24down to the wire as far as the last few races and stuff like
- 4:27that. So let's talk about Moto GP
- 4:29first, because that's kind of and we talk about the Super
- 4:33Sport classes as well, not just like the Super Bike class or the
- 4:36GP class, you know as well. But let's talk about Moto GP
- 4:40first, because it looks like Marquez, if he continues his
- 4:44run, he could wrap it up as soon as Mezano.
- 4:48Looking at the numbers is ridiculous.
- 4:52You know, looking at that series, you know, I, I know I've
- 4:56asked a bunch of times, but this is a show.
- 4:58So I got to ask again just in case the people who have not
- 5:01watched the show before. But is there any chance in in
- 5:04hell that anybody can catch Marquez?
- 5:06We'll start with DJ. Absolutely not.
- 5:13Absolutely not. I mean, at this point, I mean
- 5:16they had up until the summer break to, to try to get close to
- 5:20try something. I mean, you can see the numbers
- 5:23we we signed like he's gotten P1 or P2 in every session
- 5:30throughout and there's no catching him.
- 5:34Not at all. Yeah, I what are what are your
- 5:38thoughts Reese? Any catching him?
- 5:42Is it his to? I mean at this point I mean he
- 5:44could probably take a few rounds off, at least 4 rounds off and
- 5:48and probably still win. No, this, this is game over.
- 5:54I mean, to be that far ahead in points and what is it?
- 5:59I think he can have the most points in Moto GP history.
- 6:03I mean, that's it's kind of game over.
- 6:05I mean, what are we? What are we really watching in
- 6:07second and third place now? Lewis man, does that make it
- 6:13kind of not as fun to watch for the average, you know, fan?
- 6:19I know we're going to watch because we, we, we, we like all
- 6:21the technical stuff and all the stuff that most people don't see
- 6:25and all that fun stuff, so. No, I don't think it makes it
- 6:29less enjoyable for the fans because you got to remember
- 6:31there's been other dominant riders throughout the years that
- 6:35clinched the championship earlier in the season or
- 6:37clinched the championship with three or four rounds to go.
- 6:41And people still watch. There's still excitement and
- 6:44watching racing, you know, in the actual event, in the actual
- 6:47drama of of Q1Q2, the Sprint race, the actual race, there's
- 6:52still a lot to see. I mean, you know, you watch
- 6:56football games when teams are, you know, have no chance to go
- 6:59into the playoffs. You still go to watch those same
- 7:01football games even though they're irrelevant to the bigger
- 7:04picture because as individual events, they're entertaining
- 7:07events. Every single event is an
- 7:09entertaining event for the people that are numbers watchers
- 7:12that are just going to see who's going to win the championship.
- 7:14Yeah, maybe for them it's not that exciting.
- 7:17But I, I think as again, individual experiential events,
- 7:21every single race is for me, very, very exciting because
- 7:27there's, you know, every race has something on the line.
- 7:30You or, you know, anytime you put your helmet on, whether it's
- 7:33in Formula One or Moto GP or any type of Motorsports, you know,
- 7:38anything had happened. And, and you watch for the drama
- 7:42because anything can happen. You know, on any given day,
- 7:44maybe somebody that nobody thought we could win a race,
- 7:47could win a race. You know, if you didn't watch
- 7:48that Austria race a couple years ago where Brad Bender won it on
- 7:52slicks in the rain, you missed an incredible event and then you
- 7:55kicked yourself in the ass for not watching.
- 7:57I didn't watch it because I figured XYZ person was going to
- 8:00win anyway, you know, So I, I think it, the viewership will
- 8:04stay high, the drama will continue.
- 8:06And I think now maybe people, at least on the Moto GP side will
- 8:09switch over to looking at it as how many points can this guy
- 8:14make? Because right now at the way
- 8:16he's going with four rounds left, he'll, he'll beat the all
- 8:19time points record with still 4 rounds left.
- 8:22So he could pad that number. So now, you know, not only does
- 8:26he win the championship, but maybe he sets a bar so high that
- 8:29maybe nobody ever reaches that point again.
- 8:32Because this level of dominance doesn't come by very often.
- 8:35And if I look through the field, everybody that's currently in
- 8:37the field, I don't see anybody in the field right now that's
- 8:40ever going to be as dominant as Mark Marquette.
- 8:43And I don't see anybody in Moto 2 right now that's ever going to
- 8:45be as dominant as Mark Marques. I guess it's going to be a long
- 8:48time before another Mark Marques or Alien comes along that can do
- 8:53what he's doing. You know, this is like, this is
- 8:56seriously other level. This is Michael Jordan at the
- 8:58peak of his game. This is Tom Brady at the peak of
- 9:03his game. These are all like the best
- 9:06athletes in the world when they're at that point where they
- 9:08seem unbeatable, like they, you know, auras around them.
- 9:11It's like, holy shit, like this dude can't, he should be
- 9:15crashing every corner, but he's winning every race.
- 9:18Like how's he doing? So, yeah, Reese and and TJ, you
- 9:24just heard what Lewis said about no one in the paddock.
- 9:28What does a new era or new Marc Marquez look like?
- 9:32Because, you know, Alonzo's looking good.
- 9:36You know, you see Alda gear is looking good, Acosta, they're
- 9:40looking good. These are all guys that have
- 9:42some potential, you know. Do you guys agree with with what
- 9:45Lewis is saying as far as it's going to be a long time or do
- 9:48you see some of these guys, if they get the right one and two,
- 9:52you know, three, you know, advice, they may be able to do
- 9:55what Marquez is doing. I mean, I think Pedro Costa
- 10:01probably be the closest one right now because if it's
- 10:05driving focus, you just got to get, you know, past that the
- 10:11skill level is that you know, to, you know, get more podiums
- 10:15than dial down. But I think he'd probably be the
- 10:17closest one. It's hard to say because, you
- 10:20know, March and you know, like before Rossi, like they had a
- 10:24little significance to them and like changing up things that
- 10:27way, celebrations and all that good stuff.
- 10:31So I don't see that in any of the riders really.
- 10:34Sounds like Zarko when he does back flips.
- 10:38So I mean, I'll say Pedro's probably the closest one out of
- 10:42gear and all of them are still learning.
- 10:44So yeah, it's like like Luce was saying this, this is something
- 10:47that we ain't going to see in a long time.
- 10:51I'm sure. You know, dominance like this,
- 10:53unless, you know, Pekko can step it up a little bit because we
- 10:56got 2 championships and he's still in the mix.
- 10:58But yeah, I don't know. It's just going to be
- 11:01interesting to see how many points Mark can come out with
- 11:04and and set the bar high. And and and have a different
- 11:09legacy than Rashi Gray. The next way.
- 11:13That's what's up. What are your thoughts, Reese?
- 11:17I mean, to be honest, I mean. I.
- 11:20I don't think we'll see it in a long time.
- 11:22I mean, you got to look at Marcus.
- 11:24He has set the bar so high and he's like the last of the dying
- 11:28breed of an alien as you used to call him.
- 11:32So to have somebody like him come along, that's just once in
- 11:36a blue moon. And I mean, normally when you
- 11:39see that person coming along, you'll see it from Moto 3 to
- 11:42Moto 2 to Moto GP. And I just don't see it coming
- 11:45up just right now someone in his caliber or to his level to
- 11:49actually do that. I mean, he has been in the era
- 11:52of where the riders were dominant.
- 11:55You have Rossi, Dolby, Pedrosa, you had the whole the whole gang
- 11:59out there and he was out there with them.
- 12:02So to to that level of his riding capability.
- 12:06I don't think we'll see it for a long period of time.
- 12:08I think it'll be another 10 plus years before we see it.
- 12:11OK, all right, it seems like it, man.
- 12:14I mean, only time will tell for these riders and stuff like
- 12:18that. Let's jump into Moto 2GO ahead.
- 12:20If Mark, if Mark were to run the table from here to the end of
- 12:24the year, let's say you know everything.
- 12:26The stars align and he sweeps the table from here to the end
- 12:28of the year. 16 O wins. He'll end up with 751 points.
- 12:37We won't see somebody hit 751 points again unless they go to a
- 12:41three race weekend format and every race is worth 25 points
- 12:50like that's that's how crazy it could be.
- 12:52If he runs the table, man, if he runs the table from here now,
- 12:56he'll have over 750 points. That's, that's, that's playing
- 12:59the game on easy mode, You know, it's crazy.
- 13:06Well, I, I hope there's some fighters out there in the Moto
- 13:09GP paddock. I, I think they're, they're a
- 13:12couple, but it's been looking like the Marquette show for sure
- 13:16all year. Let's talk about Moto 2
- 13:18championship. You got Gonzales, you got
- 13:21Connett and Diego Mariro. Mariro, you know, I don't want
- 13:27Jinx connect. I know TJ connects your boy.
- 13:30I like him too. I wish he had more wins.
- 13:33You know, he he's only had two win.
- 13:35He had what, one win this year, which is, you know, plus because
- 13:39he's usually coming in second, he's had he's gone to podium
- 13:42five times. Gonzalez four wins, been on the
- 13:45podium nine time. Maria, who's who's starting is
- 13:48coming to his own right now. Could be the dark horse that
- 13:51that steals it. Second year in in the Moto 2
- 13:54paddock. Let's talk about that, that
- 13:57championship. It's a lot closer, you know,
- 14:00there's 8 rounds left. It's only there's no Sprint in
- 14:02Moto 2. So 25 points, I believe is, is
- 14:06is the top points that they can get.
- 14:08So we got we got 200 points to give away.
- 14:11How is it looking in, in, in in Moto 2?
- 14:14And I feel like Gonzalez is for him to lose because he and he's
- 14:18been, you know, doing having some mishap these last few
- 14:20rounds and still on top. But for your thoughts, TJ?
- 14:26Yeah, man, I I want to see Kinetz finally pull it off.
- 14:28I mean, he's like the dark horse, you know?
- 14:32I feel like everyone's always against him and.
- 14:35It's. Unlucky as well.
- 14:37Sometimes I don't understand where like the mistakes that
- 14:40happened, but you also got to say that it's Moto 2, man.
- 14:43Like they're like they're all on the same machine and and it's
- 14:47like any given Sunday with with Moto 2.
- 14:50But Gonzalez has been riding really well.
- 14:53Yeah, what a third, third place and didn't finish in a third
- 14:58place. But you know, Moreira is one
- 15:01that, you know, looking out for as well because he's he's
- 15:05creeping and he's not far behind.
- 15:09So it's just really a toss up between these three.
- 15:13It's going to be challenging, I'm sure.
- 15:15I know as I get to the end. You can I'm sure that your your
- 15:19your adrenaline and and like your focus, like everything gets
- 15:23so tense that it's like you don't want to make a mistake and
- 15:27it's easier to make a mistake at that point.
- 15:29So it's going to be interesting in the last, but rooting for
- 15:33Canadian. Oh yeah, I feel yeah, man, I'm
- 15:36rooting for him as well. I think it's a it'll be a come
- 15:39up for Maria Gonzalez. I mean, he did it in in Super
- 15:44sport. He signed for another year in
- 15:47Moto 2 and it, he seems like, you know, he, he wants to be
- 15:51like Top Rock in a sense. What are your thoughts, Reese,
- 15:54on on what's going on in Moto 2 and who has the most to lose out
- 16:01of these three guys? I mean, Gonzalez has the most to
- 16:05lose, I believe. I mean, he's there.
- 16:07I mean, it's his to lose. I mean, he needs to just you're
- 16:11pretty much just managing. That's what he needs to do is
- 16:14just manage himself and manage the points more.
- 16:18I mean, Morera, he's if he can get his his self together to
- 16:23actually do what he do when he has the used tires, the worn
- 16:27tires and do it in the beginning when the tires are new.
- 16:31I mean, he's he's going to be a deadly person.
- 16:33I mean, he's going to be something that will keep an eye
- 16:35out for on the upcoming, but he's he they said he's better
- 16:40when the tires are worn down, but if he could do that on new
- 16:43tires, he'll be he'll be absolutely great.
- 16:45And then with connect, I mean, TJI know that's your boy, but I
- 16:50mean I'm looking at connect like a like a Venialis man for real,
- 16:54like, you know, he's a hit or a miss.
- 16:57He's he's. I was.
- 16:58Going to talk about he don't he don't complain.
- 17:01Remember. He don't complain he just may
- 17:05hit your break break when you go by you.
- 17:09So I mean, I, I like connect, but man, that boy is just he is
- 17:13either hit or miss. He's like, Jesus Christ, man,
- 17:15what are you doing? That's I like them, But I mean,
- 17:19you got to be just I know that's what winning.
- 17:21Winning is nothing but consistency.
- 17:24If you can be consistent, consistently on the podium,
- 17:26consistently in the top three, you have a more you have the
- 17:29obligation to chance to win the championship.
- 17:31But just falling back there to the to the jungle, as you call
- 17:35it in the back, you, you don't have a, you don't have a chance.
- 17:38Is, isn't he like the, I don't want to say the prototype writer
- 17:42for what teams would want in the sense that he lays it on the
- 17:45line 100% all the time. And maybe laying it on the line
- 17:49100% all the time is not smart because sometimes you have to
- 17:52make decisions. I mean, you know, isn't he the
- 17:55kind of rider that most teams would want, though?
- 17:57I mean, he is, he's he's what you want as you're going to lay
- 18:00it out there on the line, you're going to put it out there on the
- 18:01line. But then again, we're, you know,
- 18:04as a team member myself, you know, I mean, the attitude, man,
- 18:08that's just one thing. And then the stupidness that you
- 18:11actually do that's going to hurt you.
- 18:13It's all what you do on the outside too.
- 18:15It's not just what you do on the track.
- 18:17It's how you carry yourself on the outside and saying what we
- 18:20have to carry ourselves. I mean, it's the way you carry
- 18:22yourself when you're just out and about, you're just walking
- 18:24around or you with the team. Yeah, OK.
- 18:28I, that's, I, I'm hearing you, you hear all that, Lewis, what
- 18:32are your thoughts, man? I, you know, it's, it's a close
- 18:35race, you know, you know, I, you heard Reese say Gonzales has a
- 18:40lot to lose, but I think Connett has the most, he's the, he's
- 18:42the, he's been in Moto 2 the longest and has at least the
- 18:45show for it. I mean, I think, I think they
- 18:48both have a lot to lose. I mean, obviously Gonzales has
- 18:52the the champ he has. I'm not going to say he has one
- 18:56hand on the championship. He probably has like 2 fingers
- 18:58on the championship right now because he's in the drop.
- 19:01He's got the most wins, he's got the most wins, he's got the most
- 19:06podiums. He tends to be a little bit more
- 19:09consistent than Connect overall, especially over the last three
- 19:12races, he's definitely been way more consistent than Connect.
- 19:15They both had some DNFS in the last three races, but even
- 19:18Moreira had ADNF in the last three races.
- 19:21Right. But just to jump in, I think for
- 19:24Gonzales his DNFS was more mechanical.
- 19:27Yeah, no, it wasn't, it wasn't, it wasn't him crashing or
- 19:30anything. It was mechanical.
- 19:31So that's, but again, you win as a team, you lose as a team.
- 19:35So whether you crash the bike or the bike blows up, it's the same
- 19:38thing. Man is the DNF system goes in as
- 19:41a DNF. So I think he probably has the
- 19:45most to lose, but he also is in the best position.
- 19:48He's in the lead already and he knows that he's got the speed to
- 19:51be there. His stats already show it from
- 19:53the first half of the year. And now that we're down to the
- 19:56last eight races, I think he in the next couple of races will be
- 20:02his moment to shine. Because if he can put that extra
- 20:04pressure on the two guys behind him by just finishing in front
- 20:07of them, he doesn't have to win. He just has to finish in front
- 20:10of them. Keep that points gap alive.
- 20:13That's all he has to do, you know, from here on out, he can
- 20:16manage it. And this is where I think
- 20:18Moreira is a little bit different than Connect.
- 20:22Connect in that position will fold faster than a Chinese lady
- 20:26hocked up on all the coffee in the world because he starts to
- 20:32worry about winning when he should be worrying about
- 20:35bringing it home, bringing it home in front of the guy that
- 20:38you need to be. You know, put don't put yourself
- 20:41in a position where you're going to crash or you're going to be
- 20:43in a bad spot in the track. Get in the front, stay in front,
- 20:47manage to race, don't do anything stupid.
- 20:50And I think, you know, considering where Moreira's
- 20:53coming from, I think he has a really good attitude to do that.
- 20:56With that said, I think Moreira will finish ahead of connect at
- 21:00the end of this year. Gonzalez a win, but Moreira will
- 21:03finish in front of Connect only because Moreira's already coming
- 21:06off last year, a championship. He knows what it's like to lead
- 21:10at the front and be at the end of the season and manage those
- 21:14extra points and he's got nothing to lose.
- 21:17He's a rookie. Even we toss it down the road.
- 21:19You know what your rookie is supposed to do that the fact
- 21:22you're in 3rd place and you're only a few points behind a guy
- 21:24that's been in Moto 2 for like 17 years, like beat his ass.
- 21:29There's no reason why you can't beat him.
- 21:30You're only what, 6-7 points behind him at this point?
- 21:346 points behind, dude. That's that's that's not even a
- 21:37podium. That's Connect finishing 12th
- 21:39and him finishing 7th. So yeah, I wasn't.
- 21:45Sure that Marrero was a rookie. I thought he was in the second
- 21:47year. But you, you might be.
- 21:48Yeah, he's a Rook. He's a, he's a Rook that's.
- 21:51He won the Moto 3 championship last year and moved up to Moto
- 21:542. Yeah.
- 21:55So that's even pretty impressive to to be to be a rookie.
- 22:00I mean, 'cause I don't even think Pedro was fighting for the
- 22:03the championship in his at his rookie year like he did in the
- 22:06second year out of these three guys.
- 22:10And I'll put this all to you, Which one of these guys are
- 22:13taking their teammates to dinner and and bringing their bags just
- 22:18to help them out within the races for the next 8 rounds?
- 22:21Or is it all up to them to kind of bring it home on their own?
- 22:27No, you have to bring it home as a team.
- 22:29You know the mechanics, everybody, your data guy,
- 22:32everybody that's in that garage with you.
- 22:34Even though they're not riding the bike with you, they're a
- 22:37part of the bike with you. You know, the, the guy that's
- 22:40tuning the bike for you, your data guy, your chassis guy, All
- 22:43of these people are working to make sure that you're in the
- 22:45best position possible to win. Well, these three guys,
- 22:50honestly, I think Moreira is probably the most likely to be
- 22:53the most humble about it because he's in a position that he
- 22:57shouldn't be in. And I'm sure that the team
- 23:00helped him get in that position. You know, he's probably worked a
- 23:03lot by himself getting physically ready, getting
- 23:06mentally readily looking at tape, learning, understanding
- 23:09the data, the differences on a Moto 2 bike.
- 23:13And I'm sure the team has, you know, got people sitting with
- 23:15him constantly in between every session, going through every bit
- 23:18of data to see where he can find a couple of tents here and there
- 23:22and take a corner a little bit different.
- 23:23And I'm sure he's got a rider coach that's out of different
- 23:26corners, seeing how he's taking the line and helping them
- 23:28adjust. Like these guys at this level
- 23:31have a lot of people helping them and, and you have to be
- 23:34very grateful for everybody that helps you because the Moto GP
- 23:38paddock looks big from the outside, but from the inside,
- 23:41it's like the Moto America paddock.
- 23:43Everybody knows each other. And if you start coming across
- 23:48the wrong way, it just, it just decreases your, your stock.
- 23:53So these younger guys are always looking to be, to stay humble,
- 23:56stay hungry, but stay humble and stuff like that.
- 23:59At a certain point they lose their humbleness, some of them
- 24:02and become kind of Dicks. Pedro Acosta, for instance, like
- 24:05he's got a lot of dickishness to him, you know, I just hate to
- 24:09say it. He comes across that way a lot.
- 24:11You know, the way that he talks sometimes, the way he goes to
- 24:14the box sometimes and and loses his temper and this and that.
- 24:17I understand it's the heat of the moment.
- 24:19But you know, I look at that myself.
- 24:22If I went home and something happened and I walked in my
- 24:25house and I told my mom, man, fuck this.
- 24:27And before I'm throwing shit, I get that my ass beat.
- 24:30Right. But you know when, when you've
- 24:32been, when you've been winning your whole life, you don't know
- 24:35that other side. He says I haven't been winning.
- 24:42Rossi was the same way. Lorenzo was the same way.
- 24:48Everybody, everybody wants to win.
- 24:50But you know, you, you always have to keep your temper in
- 24:54check because you're not just working for this employer.
- 24:57You got to think about the next employer because there's no
- 25:00guarantee you're going to stay with this company for more than
- 25:02another year or when your contracts over, it might be over
- 25:04and you get labeled as that problem child.
- 25:07If you get labeled as that person that's difficult to work
- 25:10with, it becomes more difficult to find a job, even if you are
- 25:13the most talented rider in the world.
- 25:15There's a lot of talented riders sitting home right now.
- 25:17We'll talk about Andrea Yonone in a little bit, who's got all
- 25:21the talent in the world. One man is about to be forced
- 25:24into retirement. Why?
- 25:27He got a little bit too much dickness in him, yeah.
- 25:29There's some places he can go in a world or go ride if he wants
- 25:32they'll. He might be going to the baggage
- 25:33championship. That's that might be the only
- 25:36ride he gets and he can still make something from his name.
- 25:39But again, his reputation, the things that he's done, missing
- 25:42out on practices, you know, doing all these things that were
- 25:47detrimental to the teams he worked on, Dude, that's a lot of
- 25:50baggage to carry into your 30s. You know, it's not a lot when
- 25:53you're in your 20s and your fast, but when your 30s man,
- 25:57they just, I mean this is the Moto GP is the Leonard Leonardo
- 26:00DiCaprio racing man. Once you get a certain age, I
- 26:03got to move on to a new bitch that's younger.
- 26:07Yeah, there's some of that man. There's some of that.
- 26:09TJ, what are your thoughts on on?
- 26:12I know Lewis mentioned the team and everything like that.
- 26:15What about the other riders? Connett's teammate, Gonzales
- 26:18teammate, Marrero's teammate. You think they they, they're
- 26:20going to get in the the fight and get in the way of these guys
- 26:23and stuff like that? I do even have the pace to, to
- 26:26even be upfront to even, I mean, we Baltus, right, Because Baltus
- 26:30is probably the closest one. He's in fourth place.
- 26:32So Connett might have a little bit of help you.
- 26:36You think these his teammates are going to help out any?
- 26:40I mean, not really, I don't think so.
- 26:44I mean, I mean, lately we've just been seeing what Marrero, I
- 26:49mean, we've been seeing bolts up there, but his last last result
- 26:52was 12th and 7th. So I mean, I know Catalonia is a
- 26:58pretty fast track and it's I don't know, I don't think he's
- 27:04not getting much help for sure. But I know Anshu has had a good
- 27:10result this past couple and let's see if he had T But as far
- 27:16as the team mates trying to step in a way to get in in front of
- 27:19Gonzalez or murder, I don't see that.
- 27:23OK, All right, that's what's. Up all comes down to the the
- 27:25qualifying though, you know, so like that's that's they kind of
- 27:29hopefully just get out to a good start as a team.
- 27:31You have a good setup. I mean, sometimes the team don't
- 27:34have a good setup, but the rider is, you know, rise around it and
- 27:38still can get a good time. So hopefully they have a good
- 27:42setup to disappear. Does Canet have a teammate or
- 27:46he's on A1 by team? No, he has a teammate, Baltus.
- 27:50He's also on Fanatic Fantic as well.
- 27:53Barry Baltus. Oh, he is, Yeah, yeah.
- 27:55But then right behind him is Viente.
- 27:59Oh yeah, they're not on the same team.
- 28:00No, they're not on the same team.
- 28:02So yeah, I'll, I'll save the team question Reese when we
- 28:05start talking Moto America, because even even the thick of
- 28:08things, and I don't want you to double talk to yourself between
- 28:11Moto GP Moto America. But let me let let let let me
- 28:18ask this because you know, Lewis had brought up a good point
- 28:21about, you know, the the asshole nest of riders and addictness of
- 28:25riders and stuff like that. Maria on Connect, you know,
- 28:28they're similar in the sense that they, you know, they both
- 28:31will fight for position. They, they, they then they're
- 28:34not scared of the, the battle and stuff like that.
- 28:36But in history, throughout history of Connect, he's always
- 28:40been on the losing side of that when he tried to fight where
- 28:43Maria has always had the upper hand.
- 28:45Outside of that, you know, who do you think has the better
- 28:49chance? Or you just go to history?
- 28:58I mean, I'm going to have to go to morale.
- 28:59I didn't. Hear that question, he wants to
- 29:05know, is Connect going to fold like a cheap suit?
- 29:09My, my, my phone, my phone was exactly my phone was breaking up
- 29:13I missed. That I could have said it like
- 29:14that too connected hold like a cheap suit or you know, he he's
- 29:19going to be Rudy and bring and bring one home.
- 29:25I mean, I'm going to have to go on Marrera in that battle.
- 29:28I mean, Marrera, you know, like Lewis said, he's very humble.
- 29:32But Connect wants to win, which we all, everybody wants to win.
- 29:36But in the same sense, if you know that, hey, I need to bring
- 29:39the most points home, Connect doesn't understand that concept
- 29:42yet. You need to win.
- 29:44Yeah, you want to win. But if it's not today, the best
- 29:47sense is just to gain the most maximum points.
- 29:50You can not throw it down a down a chute and now you got to crash
- 29:55fast or a parts list going down, you know, and that's, that's
- 29:59Canet's problem. And then he just wants to win
- 30:01and he wants to push and bang up on people.
- 30:04And I'm like, no, that's not what you need to do.
- 30:06Just gain the most maximum points you can do your best
- 30:08effort and, and bring it home safe and sound where we can go
- 30:11home and gain the most points. And that's that's the best sense
- 30:14in that case. And I think Moreira has the
- 30:16better chance of that instead of Canet.
- 30:19Well, we're going to see man and we'll we'll circle back to this
- 30:22as this weekend is coming up in Cataluna.
- 30:24Let's jump over the world super bike because like I said,
- 30:26there's a lot of championships. We got to talk about super bike
- 30:31between Top Rock and and Bulaga. It doesn't seem like there's
- 30:35anyone else that may push up close to those guys in the
- 30:39championship, which is which is, you know, that's a whole
- 30:41different story. There's 4 rounds left of of
- 30:46World Super Bike, so it's getting close.
- 30:50What are your thoughts? You guys think that top rack and
- 30:52defend it? Do you think that Bulliger just
- 30:55need to just run his race and not worry about the championship
- 30:58this year? Because next year, and probably
- 31:01the next few years, it's it's, it's his to lose.
- 31:07No, I think, I think Buller going somewhere now, I mean, you
- 31:11know, to to beat someone who is the champ, that means a lot too.
- 31:15So he's he's definitely been trying.
- 31:18You can see it all year. He didn't want to go through any
- 31:23mistakes. When he did, he showed it.
- 31:26But I think he still wants to put in the fight to try to win
- 31:28the championship, which, you know, you just got to finish up
- 31:33on a top rack. That's all, which is not easy
- 31:36said and done. But I know once top rack goes to
- 31:40Moto GP, I'm sure it's all Booga show for for, you know, maybe a
- 31:45couple of years. We'll see.
- 31:46But I think he definitely wants to put the fight into the end of
- 31:51the season. He's only down a couple points
- 31:52anyway 20262826. 26 My bad. Yeah, 26.
- 32:02Yeah, you can pull it out. Yeah, I, I, I hope so.
- 32:06Reece, what are your thoughts there with Top Rock and and
- 32:09Bulaga? You know, it, it's, it feels
- 32:13like his top rocks to lose because he's been riding so well
- 32:16lately. The only thing I can see that
- 32:18can Jack him up was, you know, similar to last year when he got
- 32:21hurt and he had to recover. I really don't see I, you know,
- 32:25I don't know what the the 2026 Pentagon looks like, but it
- 32:28seems like the the 24 Pentagon is just a little bit not a full
- 32:34match to the BMW all the way top rack is riding it.
- 32:39Well, I mean, you got a thing. I mean top rack is a different
- 32:42kind of animal. I mean he can ride any bike to
- 32:45be on a limit. I mean, he's rode that that R1
- 32:48beyond his limit when he actually was on there.
- 32:52But besides Top rock having ADNF or something burying us out of
- 32:56his control of a, you know, you know, a malfunction or anything
- 32:59like that. I mean, it's top right to lose.
- 33:01But the same thing with TJ said, I think Bulliga wants to win and
- 33:05he wants to win now because that will solidify Bulliga's run.
- 33:11I mean, if you're if I'm playing against the best, I want to beat
- 33:15the best and right now Top Rock is the best.
- 33:18So if Top Rock leave and I win, does that really say that I'm
- 33:21the best? That just says I'm the best now.
- 33:24But I didn't beat the best. And that's where Bulliga might
- 33:27want to stand at. And he wants to beat the best to
- 33:30say I am the best. What are your what are your
- 33:34thoughts about that? Lewis is you think that you
- 33:37know, Bulliga is thinking that, which also, you know, maybe he's
- 33:41thinking next year if if he beat Top Rock, Top Rock this year,
- 33:45does that put a little bit of fear into the guys for next
- 33:47season and saying, hey, we don't stand a chance as well?
- 33:50Any thoughts on? Whether or not he beats top Rack
- 33:54or not, I mean, that fear is going to be there next year
- 33:56because his performance the last two years has just been on
- 33:59another planet. You know, the only person that's
- 34:02really given him any competition has been Top Rack.
- 34:05And last year, you know, he could have, he had as good an
- 34:09opportunity last year as he has this year to win the
- 34:11championship. He's only 26 points behind.
- 34:13And that's literally that's one race.
- 34:16You know, if he wins one race and Top Rack has ADNF, like now,
- 34:20they're down to a point difference with four races left.
- 34:25If he was to win every race and Top Rack came in second, Top
- 34:30Rack would still win the championship.
- 34:32But again, he's just got to go out there and ride the best he
- 34:34can as a competitor. I would think that top that he
- 34:38wants to be Top Rack while Top Rack still in World Super Bike.
- 34:42Like he doesn't want to wait till next year to win a
- 34:43championship. He wants to win a championship
- 34:46this year and he wants to beat Top Rag before he disappears.
- 34:50Because when top Rag is gone, like everybody else says, yeah,
- 34:53you're the champion, but you're the champion because the the the
- 34:57previous champion vacated the belt.
- 34:59You didn't beat him for the belt.
- 35:01And at the end of the day, your check still looks the same
- 35:04whether you beat the champ to become the champ or not.
- 35:07You're still going to get paid really well to be at the champ.
- 35:10But as a personal goal, I would think Nicola Buliga wants to be
- 35:16top rack before top rack goes away because looking at the rest
- 35:20of the field now, I hate to say it, I mean, he's not going to.
- 35:23He's probably going to be able to walk away with the
- 35:25championship next year. I don't see anybody moving to
- 35:28Mike or to a position that's going to be able to compete with
- 35:32him right off the bat. And if the new Ducati that
- 35:35they're going to race next year is even better than what he's
- 35:38racing and now and he's doing as good as he is doing now on this
- 35:41bike that maybe is slightly inferior to the BMW, then you
- 35:45know, he's going to pull a Marc Marquez in world super bike.
- 35:48He's you know, he's going to be the guy to beat every single
- 35:50weekend, every single every you know, he might run the table
- 35:53because he's not going to have anybody that's going to be
- 35:56competing. The closest guy to him this year
- 35:58is who Petrucci and Petrucci is 150 points behind him.
- 36:03You. Know he's going to be on a
- 36:05factory bike next year. He could be on 2 factory bikes.
- 36:08He's still, he's still going to be way back.
- 36:10There, he's still going to be way back there.
- 36:13Yeah, so I, I, I hope that it comes down to the wire.
- 36:18I hope Niccolo Bulaga is able to pull out one or two wins in the
- 36:21next couple of races, get that margin down and maybe take it
- 36:25down to like the last weekend of the year and actually have a
- 36:28shootout head to Like that's, you know, like for me, I love
- 36:36that. That's the, the poetic side of
- 36:38racing is, you know, you line up on that last, that last race of
- 36:43the year and let's say there's like a six point difference and
- 36:47you have to beat the guy. You have to beat him by at least
- 36:49two or three positions to make sure you clear that and you
- 36:52battle and, and you see who's the real champ, man.
- 36:55So I just hope Top Rag doesn't run away with it because then we
- 36:58got 2 runaways in one year and that does.
- 37:01Suck. That does that.
- 37:02That does suck. You know, you mentioned go
- 37:05ahead. Oh, sorry, I, I mean, I was
- 37:08going to say that last year Top Rat didn't race at this track
- 37:12because I think he was injured and Bulliger ran away with two
- 37:16races out of it. So he he's definitely got a an
- 37:21edge right now to take advantage.
- 37:23But, you know, we'll see how that goes.
- 37:27Right. You know, you mentioned
- 37:28something, Lewis, about, you know, Bulliger wanting to win
- 37:32this year and maybe have some regrets.
- 37:34You know what it is, What is it about?
- 37:36And I don't know if we can answer it in today's show or
- 37:38even in the future. What is about folks that you
- 37:41know, Jordan still think about the one championship he didn't
- 37:44win and rather be able to play that and have the six he have.
- 37:47Brady's thinking about the two that got away from him.
- 37:51You know, Rossi's thinking about 2015.
- 37:55You know, what is it with guys and, and, and Buluga hasn't
- 37:58lived that yet. He may if he doesn't win this
- 38:01year and win next year. What is it about people that you
- 38:04know, lose sleep over and and you talk about the checks.
- 38:08They're not struggling for money.
- 38:10So they got enough checks to be like, I shouldn't be sweating
- 38:12this, but what is it about like, you know, people that you know,
- 38:16hold on to the ones that the the losses that got away from them.
- 38:19Let's start with DJ. Let's.
- 38:24Start with DJ Give. Me a SEC.
- 38:27That's a talking. We don't.
- 38:29See it, man, we see. It, you know, because you, you
- 38:32look back at the, the what ifs like, like only if I did this
- 38:37one thing and this would have changed.
- 38:39And he started, you know, contemplating and doubting
- 38:43certain situations because you almost had it.
- 38:46Like, it's just going back to the Patriots.
- 38:49You know, when we lost to the Giants, you know, they threw a
- 38:53Hail Mary and it should have been batted down.
- 38:57And yeah, yeah, I I don't want to break up that second one.
- 39:01But there was one way they threw the Hail Mary.
- 39:03You know, it should have been batted down.
- 39:05He caught it on his neck. And it's just like, you know, if
- 39:07that catch didn't happen, you know, we would have had another,
- 39:11another ring, you know, So I always still think about that.
- 39:14It's just certain things where you just want perfection.
- 39:17You just want perfection, so. Or that year y'all lost to the
- 39:20Eagles, where we knocked y'all out.
- 39:23Oh yeah? How many?
- 39:25Minutes y'all got. Hey, we still put y'all on the
- 39:32shelf though. You did.
- 39:35You did, you know? We had to put y'all on the
- 39:37shelf. Not a lot of teams did.
- 39:39And I guess Rossi and and Marquez and these guys are
- 39:42saying and Jordan, not a lot of people have, but the ones that
- 39:45have, it still hurts. But you want to add anything to
- 39:48that Reese, you're, you're, you're, you're in the game still
- 39:50and, and stuff like that. So you know, is, is, is, do you
- 39:55have from memory one that that got away from you and and you
- 39:58know, you can lend a little bit how these guys feel with the
- 40:01ones that they've lost? One that got away from us, I
- 40:07say, and I can't remember what year that was.
- 40:09That was when Tony Elias took it.
- 40:12I mean, that got away from us a little bit.
- 40:16I mean, it's always that what if it's just like TJ said, it's
- 40:18that what if, you know, what if we did this a little better?
- 40:22What if we did that and we could have had it and we didn't crash
- 40:25here, didn't do that. So you're always going to live
- 40:27in that moment and say damn, we could have had this and
- 40:30solidified a certain, you know, aspect of where we're at.
- 40:33But yeah, I mean, after a while you kind of just move on and go
- 40:37on to the next one. But still, we're going to live
- 40:39in that in that era and still live in that life, you know,
- 40:43because you want to you want to you want to be the most dominant
- 40:47person or the dominant team in the fat eye.
- 40:48You want to be in that that era of greatness like Brady Jordan.
- 40:56You know, we want to be in that era of the greatest team, you
- 40:59know, when you look back at it so.
- 41:03Yeah, you want you, you want to, you want to go in battle with
- 41:05some gladiators. You don't want to win a war.
- 41:08And you know no one, there's no one else on the battlefield to
- 41:10oppose you. Numbers guy.
- 41:14I mean, you hear these two guys here, you know, you care about
- 41:18checking, you care about the overall.
- 41:20So is there, is there one, one trophy that gets away?
- 41:25As long as long as the checkers got all the commas in place,
- 41:28it's a It's a trophy. No, I mean, the the guys at the
- 41:33top of this sport are like any athlete at the top of their
- 41:36sport. They had to maintain this level
- 41:39of aggression and this level of competitiveness to to to be at
- 41:43the top of the sport. Because like any sport, if you
- 41:46really want to be the best of the sport, you got to wake up
- 41:49earlier than everybody else. You got to work harder than
- 41:51everybody else. You got to be mentally and
- 41:53physically better than everybody else.
- 41:55Like you got to push yourself that much further and, and these
- 41:59guys that are at the top that are really battling, you know,
- 42:02the guys like your Valentino Rossi's, your Jorge Lorenzo's,
- 42:05the guys that really put their stamp on any career, whether
- 42:08it's a motorcycle racing in football, like a Tom Brady in
- 42:11basketball, like a Michael Jordan, like a Magic Johnson, a
- 42:16Larry Bird, like competition is what they're all about.
- 42:20That competitiveness is what gets them up in the morning
- 42:24because money's not getting up in the morning because they got
- 42:27more money than they need. Fame is not getting them up
- 42:31because they're more famous than they're ever going to need.
- 42:34The only thing that gets them up is that juice, that fire to be
- 42:37better than the next person. If if an athlete loses that, and
- 42:41I feel that there's a lot of athletes that have lost that,
- 42:44that have become a complacent, like I'm the 7th place guy, so
- 42:47I'm just going to work as hard as a 7th place guy needs to be.
- 42:51But these guys at the top that stay at the top for years, not
- 42:55one or two years. Because you can have one or two
- 42:56years where you're just lucky and you end up a championship,
- 42:59Johann Meer. But then you don't ever do
- 43:01anything ever again, you know? Waiting for that.
- 43:08You ride around for your, your 6th, 7th place, you get your
- 43:12check, you create a nice little career for yourself.
- 43:14But these guys at the top, they're not worried about the
- 43:17career. They start worrying about, you
- 43:19know, they're worried about I got to win.
- 43:22Like for them, it's all about the win.
- 43:23They have the money, they have everything else, but they still
- 43:26get up at 5:00 in the morning. They still do their, you know,
- 43:29Pilates, they still go run that 3-4 miles.
- 43:32They still go ride that bike, you know, 100 miles in a day.
- 43:35They still do all these things because they just have that
- 43:37competitive negativeness that no money in the world can quench.
- 43:41I mean, to this day, Michael Jordan will will compete against
- 43:46anybody in golf and put big money down because he just wants
- 43:51that competition. He wants to prove like, hey, I'm
- 43:53still this competitive. Like there's not right now he's
- 43:55in a battle against NASCAR. I.
- 43:57Know. And honestly, I think he wants
- 44:00to win because he doesn't understand not winning.
- 44:04And that's the kind of mentality that these guys have at the very
- 44:06top. And, and it, it will eat Bulaga
- 44:11if he doesn't beat Top Rank, even if he becomes champion next
- 44:13year, it'll still eat him that for two years he couldn't beat
- 44:17this one guy when he was healthy, when he was, when he
- 44:26was, you know, at the top of his game, when this, that he still
- 44:29didn't beat this one guy. You know, this is, he's, this is
- 44:32that elusive, this is, you know, the, the, the, what's the,
- 44:35what's the Eleanor? This is his Eleanor.
- 44:38This is his GT500 that he can't seem to steal because something
- 44:42always happens. Hey, listen, we'll see because
- 44:46next year it might be a little bit crazy too because they'll be
- 44:48on a new bike. Well, let's jump into World
- 44:50Super Buffalo. It's a great white Buffalo.
- 44:55Sure is. Let's talk about world super
- 44:58sport before we get into Motor America.
- 45:01You know, Stefano Manzi and Canna chew can on chew can on
- 45:05choose is a surprise. I didn't I have to honestly say
- 45:08I didn't see him, you know, being the number two guy in the
- 45:12championship or Masia for that for that as well, because Masia
- 45:15is a rookie coming over from Moto 2 to to super sports.
- 45:20What you guys think? Is this a foregoing conclusion
- 45:22that Manzi Manzi seems like he's the bully in in super sport.
- 45:27I think he's a he just looks at people and they and they go the
- 45:30other way. You know, what are your thoughts
- 45:32on on on Manzi? You know, he's up at least by,
- 45:36you know, 60 points, give or take 59 points or something like
- 45:39that. You know, he just got to hold
- 45:41off these guys. But you know, Kat on Chu and
- 45:44Messi, these guys have been riding well lately.
- 45:48What are your thoughts? TJ yeah, I mean, I like Hand
- 45:51Untrue and Marcia, but you know, I haven't really been falling so
- 45:56much to the world super sport. But Manzi is one that I've been,
- 45:59I've been seeing holding his own and I think that he'll probably
- 46:04take it away. Being up almost 60 points, I
- 46:08feel like it's more manageable coming to this stage when you
- 46:11get closer to like the 2520 point raise and you worry about
- 46:15more mistakes and stuff like that.
- 46:17So and I feel like More unto A Messiah would try to bow for
- 46:22that second place, but I think he'll pull it off.
- 46:26It's definitely something to look forward to.
- 46:29I know there's a lot of racing this weekend, but I definitely
- 46:32want to watch all the classes because I know it's tight battle
- 46:35coming to the finish. So you got to see see all the
- 46:39camaraderie and all the battles and the fighting that goes on in
- 46:43inside the paddock and outsides. Yeah, Reece, it might.
- 46:47It'll be a win win for you got Yamaha boys.
- 46:50I mean, Manzi's been Manzi's been fighting against Bulaga a
- 46:55couple of years ago and then last year against Gonzalez.
- 46:58And Gonzalez has now moved over to Moto 2.
- 47:01And I mean, he may be kind of feeling like I wanted to beat
- 47:05Bulaga. I wanted to beat Gonzalez.
- 47:08And and now he's sitting here next to Cannon Chu sitting here
- 47:11like saying, man, I got to beat this guy.
- 47:13I mean, you know, Cannon is no slouch, but what are, what are,
- 47:16what are your thoughts with those two guys, the Yamaha boys?
- 47:21I mean, cans no salt. I mean, he's a he's a hell of a
- 47:23writer. I mean, Manzi just he's on a
- 47:26tear. He's on a different level.
- 47:27I think it's his to lose. I mean, it's nice to see the
- 47:30Yamahas up there and you know, there are nines and taking it
- 47:32away. I mean, they're taking it away
- 47:34in all the Super sport categories.
- 47:37So I mean, it's pretty nice to see that.
- 47:39And I just I think Manzi's actually going to take it.
- 47:41I mean, I'm, I'm looking forward to seeing Manzi up there, but
- 47:46can I mean, I think he's going to be a problem child for next
- 47:50year. I think he's going to I think
- 47:52he's actually going to be one of the top, top writers that go
- 47:55compete and I think he'll see him.
- 47:59I give it within the next year or so, not next year, but maybe
- 48:02after that. I give him see, you probably see
- 48:03him up there in the world super backstage.
- 48:06You you think Yamaha can call you up and and and and tell you
- 48:09to tell Ken on Chu that he has to take second place to Manzi?
- 48:17You think anyone can tell him there's a team order?
- 48:21I, I don't think there's no team order there.
- 48:23I think it's his day. Just don't take each other out.
- 48:26I think that's, I think that's the order.
- 48:28Just don't take each other out. Do what y'all do, but don't take
- 48:30each other out yet. Just just let's go.
- 48:33You know, because man, he's going the world super bike, so
- 48:35he's getting a bump, right? So for him, it's his only shot.
- 48:40I think and I think that's where we're going to see him shine at
- 48:42and see hopefully we can, you know, have some more competitive
- 48:45nature up there next year for us from the World Super Bike
- 48:48paddock, OK. All right, well, your thoughts,
- 48:50Lewis on on on the Super sport class and the Yamahas and should
- 48:54there be team order or is is can can can put up the kind of fight
- 49:00that he has to put up because he has to be ruthless to beat
- 49:03Manzi. No, he can't put up the kind of
- 49:06fight it takes. The the The thing is, Manzi is
- 49:09just a little bit more of a seasoned veteran and probably is
- 49:13a little bit more mentally strong, sly in the way he calls
- 49:17about his race craft. You know, Canon true is is, I'm
- 49:21not going to say he's young, but he's younger and he's still a
- 49:24very competitive guy coming from Moto 2.
- 49:26I mean, seeing the guys that are in the top, you know, of World
- 49:30Super Sport, knowing that some of these guys came from Moto 2
- 49:33just goes to show you the level of talent in Moto 2.
- 49:36The level of talent there is unbelievable.
- 49:39And when Stefano Manzi kind of moves up next year, I mean, it
- 49:43looks like Moto 2 riders that are moving from Moto 2 to World
- 49:46Super Bike are pretty much going to dominate World Super Bike,
- 49:49which is really wild to me. But again, it just shows the
- 49:53level of talent in Moto 2 that they can move over the World
- 49:56Super sport and kind of just, you know, be right at the tip of
- 49:59the sword, be in the top five, be in the top six in the first
- 50:02year that they're over here. I think I think Anshu will put
- 50:07up a good fight. And as long as Manzi keeps the
- 50:10rubber side down, I I think he's smart enough to manage his
- 50:14points lead and get through the finish line.
- 50:16So hopefully he stays healthy, he stays safe, nothing goes
- 50:19wrong and he'll move up to super bike.
- 50:23And then next year, Anchu and all these other young, you know,
- 50:26kids are going to are really going to put on a great show.
- 50:29I think super sport like Moto 2 is the most entertaining class
- 50:33to watch because this is where, you know, young boys are growing
- 50:37into men and growing men have to decide, you know, how far am I
- 50:42going to go with this? You know, can I get to the next
- 50:44level? And it's just such a great mix
- 50:47of talent to see some of these young guys actively competing
- 50:50with these guys that have been there for a while.
- 50:52And just, you know, No Fear and No Fear.
- 50:54Lots of talent ready to go, not coming with any excuses, just
- 50:58coming with, you know, piss and vinegar ready to fight.
- 51:01Yeah, you know, before we go into motor America, I will say
- 51:06it seems like, and you guys can kind of chime in, it seems like
- 51:09to me and I'll I'll pick on mayor since you brought up
- 51:13mayor, the mayor, the Quatararo. We'll we even we'll even throw
- 51:18it back Naya and these guys when they were they came out of Moto
- 51:212 into Moto GP. The the the Moto 2 grid wasn't
- 51:25as hungry I think Will Grimy as it is today.
- 51:30Is that fair to say? It wasn't as deep.
- 51:34Right. Yeah.
- 51:37Yeah, Leah, now, now I feel that in the last maybe six years,
- 51:44probably six years, maybe maybe 7, just before COVID, it, it
- 51:49seems like Moto 2 got a lot more competitive because remember
- 51:52that they used to run on the CBR motor and it was, you know,
- 51:57pretty much a, a stock series. You couldn't mess with the ECU.
- 52:00It was a sealed motor. It was a sealed distance.
- 52:03And it's still the same. But I think in the last few
- 52:06years, especially with the change to the Triumph motor and
- 52:08they've got more torque and everything else, these guys are
- 52:12just becoming a lot more competitive.
- 52:13And the guys coming out of Moto 3, they're just coming out of
- 52:16Moto 3, like elbows as sharp as they can be ready to fight like
- 52:20it. I don't know.
- 52:21It's, I'm not going to say it's a little bit less courteous now,
- 52:26but it's definitely less courteous now.
- 52:30Like they they still think they're on Moto 3 bikes.
- 52:32Yeah, I I think these these young kids are testing big bike,
- 52:36big up street bikes that are modified obviously for the
- 52:38track, you know, so they're on 600 and thousands now.
- 52:41So when they jump on to Moto 2, they're not worried about the
- 52:44power. It's just, you know, suspension
- 52:47and you know, so OK, let's jump into Motor America.
- 52:54Reese, I mean this, I mean, you know, I hopefully you're not
- 52:56getting any Gray hairs from this or losing any sleep.
- 52:59You got 2 rounds, 5 races, you know, your, your, your rookie as
- 53:05far as the team is leading the championship close in the
- 53:09points. I mean, you know, which is
- 53:11pretty cool to see from a spectator standpoint, I have to
- 53:14say. You know, let's talk about, you
- 53:17know, what has it been like you guys just had test in a week
- 53:20ago. What, what's the, what's the,
- 53:22what's the team like these last few rounds?
- 53:25It's been a couple of weeks since we spoke last.
- 53:27So two weeks has passed, you know, have you lost like 510
- 53:31lbs? What's going on?
- 53:35No, you still got the pounds on there, but no, it's, it's, it is
- 53:39stressful. I mean, you know, we still going
- 53:41in with the same mentality. You know, we want to win.
- 53:44We're going there expecting the win.
- 53:46Of course we're going to horsepower.
- 53:48Everyone knows we're going to CODA and that's horsepower
- 53:52alley. But you know, we, we have our
- 53:55our ways and we have the, you know, the skill level where we
- 53:59can compete. And I mean, we're, we're looking
- 54:01to go to win or most likely, you know, still a round, then we go
- 54:06on a jersey where it's a little bit more suitable for us, I
- 54:10believe and see where we go at all.
- 54:15Right. Let me ask this, you know, at
- 54:17the beginning of the year after Herring came off his win and you
- 54:22know, the beginning of the year until now, do you guys, you
- 54:26know, feel like you're in the you're poised to steal one?
- 54:31Or do you feel like you guys, regardless of who won last year,
- 54:35you guys felt like you, you were there to you.
- 54:37We you had what it takes to to be where you are at right now.
- 54:41I mean, we always have, we, we always have that feeling, you
- 54:44know, to be where we're at nowadays.
- 54:46I mean, you know, not saying anything, but people was pretty
- 54:49much counting us out and we were like, don't, don't count us out.
- 54:52You know, I was like, that's one bad mood to actually do is to
- 54:56count that that team, our team out.
- 54:59I mean, we've, we've been together for quite a long time.
- 55:05And like Lewis said, it's not just a rider that's going to
- 55:07win, it's a team that wants to win as well.
- 55:10So and I mean, there's a lot of tricks that you can pull up your
- 55:13sleeve. And you know, we just go with
- 55:15our mindset saying, hey, we're going in here to win.
- 55:17We want to do our very best and be up there in the battle.
- 55:24You never know what can happen. You know, it is racing and you
- 55:28know, it can, you know, be anybody today.
- 55:31So that's what we want and we want to be up there in the
- 55:34battle, up there in the top three or, you know, top 4 or
- 55:37whatever it is up there in that front row, that front group of
- 55:39guys. I mean, we're going here to
- 55:41Dakota and you know, we're looking at expecting to either a
- 55:45win or, like I said, steal one. We're looking forward to it,
- 55:50man. We can't wait.
- 55:52TJ, you know. What are your thoughts on on the
- 55:54championship? It's really close.
- 55:56I, I, I know you're, you're, you're a Heron and a Cam Bobier
- 56:00guy, Yamaha guy. I mean, you know, you, you, you,
- 56:05you might have two different beers you're drinking at once,
- 56:06man. What are your thoughts on the
- 56:10championship? You know, coming.
- 56:11To an end. I mean, you know, I like, I like
- 56:17Josh Herring and he's fortunate that he had a little injury from
- 56:20his the last round, so I'm sure he'll be ready to go.
- 56:24But like I said, he's like a one man show out there.
- 56:28I heard he broke his leg in several places like Rossi did a
- 56:31few years back. I don't know what's going on
- 56:36over there, but can. You.
- 56:37Hear it? I just don't want to interrupt
- 56:40when my eyes roll. Goodnight TJ man, but.
- 56:47But you know, the the Yamaha camp man, you know, like Kanye
- 56:50is sitting in fourth right now and and Bobby found working his
- 56:54way up to take the lead in the championship.
- 56:56I feel like that team focus right now is is at a high
- 57:01intensity right now. So I feel like it starts with
- 57:05Reese to make sure I get them all there safe at the track and
- 57:08on time to get everyone's head together.
- 57:10But I think it's going to be a good weekend, you know, at a
- 57:14quarter to see what Bobby Paul can do out there.
- 57:18I know Bobby and BMW, he's going to put down a fight.
- 57:22So like he's going to be racing high intensity.
- 57:26So it could be anyone's day. But I'm sure Bobby can hold it
- 57:30off. All right, so we, we have to
- 57:33make sure nobody kidnapped Reese, right?
- 57:38The. Cartoon show that that I can't
- 57:41even remember that someone's always getting kidnapped.
- 57:44But what are your thoughts, Lewis, under where things are
- 57:48right now? I don't want to say it's Beavis
- 57:55a butt head or one of these. Nothing crazy, don't you worry.
- 58:05I, I, I find it really interesting that you find a
- 58:09fracture 3 weeks after you break something.
- 58:12You know, I'm not a orthopedist, but most X-rays will reveal a
- 58:17fracture in the first couple of X-rays, not 3 weeks later.
- 58:21And you know, there's a certain somebody, I'm not going to name
- 58:27him by name, that found a fracture 3 weeks later.
- 58:32And it, to me, it feels almost like setting up an excuse to
- 58:39make himself not accountable and also setting himself up to, to
- 58:43look like a superhero in case he wins.
- 58:46Because if you release something like that, that I fractured my
- 58:48leg 3 weeks later and then you go into a race and you win.
- 58:53Look at him. Josh is great.
- 58:55He, you know, he battled through the pain of a broken leg to win
- 58:58the race and blah, blah, blah. But if he loses, well, you
- 59:01understand, he's out there battling, but he's battling on a
- 59:03broken leg. Look, man, Rossi had a broken
- 59:05leg. That was a legit broken leg.
- 59:09Finding an X-ray 3 weeks later that says you have a fracture.
- 59:12I mean, all right, if you say so.
- 59:13But you know, unfortunately, Josh Herman has cried wolf too
- 59:17many times for me to take it seriously when he says something
- 59:20like that. So, you know, I, I, I'm not
- 59:23going to give him a pass on that.
- 59:25I thought you wasn't saying no names.
- 59:29I didn't say no last names. There's there's more than one
- 59:31Josh in the paddock. I didn't say it was Josh.
- 59:34There's more than one only. One only one Josh so super bike
- 59:37though. I didn't say you got a super
- 59:40bike. See, there you go.
- 59:41You're assuming. Why are you assuming?
- 59:44It could have been Josh from the Twins Cup, you know.
- 59:47But again, you know, like I but again, maybe it's mind games,
- 59:55maybe it's this, maybe it's that at the end of the day, you still
- 59:58got to go on a track. You got to prove it.
- 1:00:01You know, you got to race. If you got diarrhea, you got to
- 1:00:03race. If you got a stomachache, you
- 1:00:05got to race, you got a flu, you got to race.
- 1:00:06You know, there's been plenty of riders that have raced in
- 1:00:08adverse conditions and put everything they can into it and
- 1:00:12didn't do social media posts for two weeks or three weeks after
- 1:00:15an event and do all this other stuff and try to.
- 1:00:19Get the fans on their side because you know I'm injured on
- 1:00:22this and that you know, you weren't winning when your leg
- 1:00:25was good. If if your leg is actually
- 1:00:28fractured. So now that your legs fractured,
- 1:00:30you're going to do better. Or you just trying to set up
- 1:00:34excuses to either cover your, you know, the lack of your
- 1:00:37ability to bring it home after you kind of walking away with
- 1:00:40the championship. Or you're trying to make
- 1:00:43yourself set up so that if you do win the championship now you
- 1:00:46can kind of be like, yeah, I pushed through all this pain
- 1:00:48and, you know, all this struggle and all this effort.
- 1:00:53And you know, I, I give so much thanks to my team and my come on
- 1:00:57bro, just go fucking race. Aren't they how superhero
- 1:01:01superhero stories made? Here it is, you remember, back
- 1:01:05in the South. That's how villains are made.
- 1:01:09So the. Syndrome wasn't a superhero.
- 1:01:15Syndrome was bad guy. So the the cartoon was South
- 1:01:19Park and. Who used to get kidnapped on?
- 1:01:26South I don't know, I think Kenny was always talking about
- 1:01:28somebody getting kidnapped, but you know what I can remember
- 1:01:31we're going to leave Reese out on this because he he's
- 1:01:35competing in the championship as a part of the team.
- 1:01:40But let let let's ask TJ and Lewis.
- 1:01:44I mean, you know what, how do you see it coming playing out
- 1:01:47towards the end here? You know, you you got Cam in
- 1:01:51there. We got Herron that makes you
- 1:01:53know he's what how healthy or not he is.
- 1:01:56And you got Bobby Fong, who you know, seems to be at the right
- 1:01:59place at the right time. I mean, I think yes, it's tight.
- 1:02:08Like I said, it might come down to Jersey, you know, and the
- 1:02:14time's out. Last time I've been to Jersey,
- 1:02:16you know, a couple of Yamahas in one man show.
- 1:02:18It's going to be interesting to see who who can take Koda
- 1:02:24because I would probably decide for sure, you know, who's going
- 1:02:28to win the series. But I think Bobby can hold it
- 1:02:30off. You know, he's only up a couple
- 1:02:32points. Like I said that BMW got a lot
- 1:02:35of horsepower, you know, so see if they can hold off to BMW
- 1:02:42basically just stay in front. But I feel like they're going to
- 1:02:45be on the podium for the Yamahas.
- 1:02:47I feel it. OK, OK, yeah, I mean, I, I, I
- 1:02:51feel like it's, it's going to be, you know, between the,
- 1:02:54between the Yamahas and and and and the Ducati really, because,
- 1:02:59you know, you know, Cam has just been up and down this this
- 1:03:03season, even though he's right there in the point.
- 1:03:06It's, it's just, you know, he's he's kind of like a crash away
- 1:03:10sometimes. What are your thoughts, Lewis?
- 1:03:14I, I think it's, I think it's going to come down to the BMW
- 1:03:17and the Yamaha. If, if Yamaha can leave CODA
- 1:03:21with two good podiums, they don't have to win, just be on
- 1:03:24the podium, keep the points really close.
- 1:03:27I think the biggest competition right now or the biggest threat
- 1:03:31is definitely, definitely Beauvier at CODA.
- 1:03:34He's going to have a huge horsepower advantage.
- 1:03:37And that is a fast track. That's like a horsepower track
- 1:03:40that's very similar to like your Rd.
- 1:03:41Atlanta's or these bigger tracks where horsepower does make a
- 1:03:44difference. But I think it'll come down to,
- 1:03:48again, unless something crazy happens at Coda where there's
- 1:03:50some DNFS or something like that, it'll come down to Jersey.
- 1:03:55And the great thing about Jersey is Jersey is not a horsepower
- 1:03:58track. Jersey is a technique track.
- 1:04:01Horsepower doesn't matter there because the fastest bikes to
- 1:04:04ever go around that track have been in the low one 20s forever.
- 1:04:09You know, the tracks been open now I think 1617 years. 2008.
- 1:04:17Yeah. So 17 years or 18 years later,
- 1:04:19the fastest time is still the same fastest time from when the
- 1:04:22from where the track almost opened.
- 1:04:25So that lets you know that this nobody's going faster at this
- 1:04:28track. Nobody found a way to find
- 1:04:29another second, second and a half of this track in almost 20
- 1:04:32years. Why?
- 1:04:33Because the track doesn't allow for it.
- 1:04:35It's not configured for that. It's configured for style, for
- 1:04:38technique, for corner entry, for speed.
- 1:04:40You know, it's not a horsepower track, so you take horsepower of
- 1:04:44the equation and now it just comes straight up to riders set
- 1:04:48up and determination. You know, again, Beauvier has
- 1:04:52won a lot of races at New Jersey.
- 1:04:54So I think he right now is the biggest threat to the Yamaha
- 1:04:59team because I mean, I remember when Beauvier was on a super
- 1:05:04sport bike. I'm not going to say a date
- 1:05:06because I already know I'm old enough, but he went out there
- 1:05:11and he set a lap time on a Super Sport that would have put him in
- 1:05:133rd place on Super Bike that year on the grid.
- 1:05:18And this is years ago. Because, I mean, the Tommy
- 1:05:22Aquino was still racing. All these guys were still racing
- 1:05:25in Super Sport. This is a long time ago.
- 1:05:28And Cameron Boba had Yeah. And Cam Boba went down to
- 1:05:36breakfast and pretty much told all the YYES guys because this
- 1:05:41is when Yamaha had the YES teams and and what was the other one?
- 1:05:47Clark Racing was still the racing And he pretty much told
- 1:05:51them he's like, hey, I'm going to go out today and I'm going to
- 1:05:53set the fastest lap anybody has ever set on 600 this morning.
- 1:05:56So good luck. Keep him up with me now.
- 1:05:58He went out and he wiped the field with them the entire day.
- 1:06:01So the dudes had a lot of laps around Jersey and he knows how
- 1:06:05to get around there fast, man. So again, I think it's going to
- 1:06:09come down to Yamaha and BMWBMW has the edge of coda and then
- 1:06:14it's just going to be great and determination for Yamaha, BMW
- 1:06:17who wants it most of Jersey 0. Man, listen, go ahead.
- 1:06:23I got to say this. I mean, here we go.
- 1:06:26Yeah, I do. I mean, it's only a what, 17?
- 1:06:28We're up 17 points on Cameron in first.
- 1:06:31So like like Lewis said, I mean, I think like long as we get on
- 1:06:36the podium, you know, if Cam wins, then we take third both
- 1:06:41races, we'll still take the lead going to New Jersey.
- 1:06:44And that's where you want to be. You want to be able to take the
- 1:06:47lead or be maximize the most points you can you can have.
- 1:06:51And going in New Jersey is a the big monster, the triple header.
- 1:06:56And the one thing that comes in New Jersey that a lot of people
- 1:06:59forget is weather that rain is going to play a big factor if it
- 1:07:04does rain. And I could tell you this, so
- 1:07:07Yamahas are a weapon. When it comes to the wet,
- 1:07:11they're a weapon. You can ask JD that one and
- 1:07:14he'll tell you. So when it comes to the wet,
- 1:07:17that Yamaha is a weapon in the wet.
- 1:07:20And you know, so I mean, like Lewis said, it's going to come
- 1:07:25down to it. It's pretty much going to come
- 1:07:27down to Jersey's round to see where we're at.
- 1:07:29Like TJ and Lewis said, I mean, it's going to come down to
- 1:07:32Jersey so, but as long as we can stay right there coming into
- 1:07:37Coda, I think we'll be just fine.
- 1:07:41Nice. I'm looking forward to watching
- 1:07:43it. And you know, I, I, I, I may
- 1:07:46text you just to, you know, see if you're smiling.
- 1:07:49We'll see how we we'll see how it goes.
- 1:07:53I I try not to bother people when they're working because,
- 1:07:56you know, I know how that is. Let's talk about the Super sport
- 1:07:59class. You know, it's between PJ Jacobs
- 1:08:02and Matthew Schultz at the moment.
- 1:08:03Schultz is defending the title. P JS looking really good.
- 1:08:07You know, we're talking about 7 points difference there.
- 1:08:10I don't know if in in Jersey do Super Sport have three races or
- 1:08:15if it's just a super bike that does that.
- 1:08:17What are your thoughts about the Super Sport race?
- 1:08:19You know, a few rounds ago it was looking a lot closer than it
- 1:08:22is right now as far as more riders.
- 1:08:26You know, it's only two guys that are that are that are
- 1:08:28fighting for it, you know. What are your thoughts, TJ?
- 1:08:33You know, I've been around PJ Jacobson before, so I'd love to
- 1:08:36see him come back in and and, you know, take the lead and and
- 1:08:42win it for sure. I mean, I know skulls before has
- 1:08:46been trying for so long and he's always coming up short and now
- 1:08:51he's he's got a, you know, a championship.
- 1:08:55I know a lot of people have his day.
- 1:08:56It's about his attitude and stuff like that.
- 1:08:59But you know, I think he might hold it off, but I really hope
- 1:09:02DJ pulls it off. You know, I want to see that
- 1:09:05Ducati win it with the team that he's on with Kayla.
- 1:09:10So Apex. Reece, are you able to comment
- 1:09:15on Ducati in a nice way? I mean, you know.
- 1:09:22I mean, I can comment on a nice way.
- 1:09:23I mean, the bike is what it is. I mean, the bike is 1 hell of a
- 1:09:27bike. I mean, it's quick.
- 1:09:28I mean it has a lot of low end torque, a lot of grunt.
- 1:09:32But was that the way that Matthew's riding?
- 1:09:35I mean, I think he'll end up taking it.
- 1:09:37I mean, hopefully he can keep his head on his shoulders and
- 1:09:39and do well and not have any foreseen errors, malfunctions on
- 1:09:46a bike or ride a little bit above the limit, you know, and
- 1:09:51run off or kind of do anything crazy.
- 1:09:54But I think if he stays right there and I think if he keeps
- 1:09:56his head on his shoulder, that's awesome.
- 1:09:58I mean, I talked to Matt every race, every round.
- 1:10:00I'll I'll go up and talk to him and, you know, tell him to keep
- 1:10:04his head on his shoulder and usually does fine.
- 1:10:08But I think at the end, I think it's going to come down to a 2
- 1:10:12bike shootouts coming in New Jersey.
- 1:10:14It's a two round, I mean two race round at Jersey.
- 1:10:17I think it might come down to that and same thing as the Super
- 1:10:20bikes. So I'm looking forward to
- 1:10:23having, you know, being honest, I'm looking forward to a Yamaha
- 1:10:26running away with a double super bike, Super sport win.
- 1:10:31Yeah, I mean, you know, we, we'll, we'll be, we'll be out at
- 1:10:34the parade. It'll be a little wet though,
- 1:10:38sorry. I'm sorry, it's the only time we
- 1:10:42can have champagne, right? Right.
- 1:10:47What are your thoughts, Lewis on, on super sport?
- 1:10:50What's going on with Schultz and, and Jacobson?
- 1:10:52And and you know, to add to what Reese says about Schultz, I
- 1:10:55mean, he's he's the closest thing that's riding to like a
- 1:10:59Man Z or, or a top rock on a bike where he's been able to
- 1:11:03make that Yamaha do some things that the Yamaha riders.
- 1:11:06I mean, I know Blake is close, but Schultz is doing it a little
- 1:11:09different. Yeah, I think, I think this
- 1:11:12championship is going to go to Schultz.
- 1:11:14I think he's going to defend his championship.
- 1:11:16You know, he won it last year pretty, pretty resoundingly with
- 1:11:20some really great podiums. But I think this year he's got a
- 1:11:24little bit of extra fire under his belly to win another one.
- 1:11:27I think there's going to be some changes next year that's going
- 1:11:30to give him an opportunity to move back up into super bike.
- 1:11:32And I think he wants to cap off this part of his career in super
- 1:11:36sport with another championship. And I just think that he he can
- 1:11:42ride the wheels off the bike. You know, I've seen him riding
- 1:11:44that bike and I see him doing things on that bike that really
- 1:11:48are are special. That's what that's where I can
- 1:11:50put it. There's something special, and I
- 1:11:52think after the the last little blow up that him and PJ had, I
- 1:11:57think he's got even a little bit more fire in his belly to just
- 1:12:00beat P JS ass and and this is opportunity to kind of go out
- 1:12:05with a big Hey, you know what, you know, I know you got little
- 1:12:08man syndrome, but here you go. I just won another championship
- 1:12:12from you, being a bigger man physically and emotionally.
- 1:12:20Ruthless. Yo, Jesus.
- 1:12:22Yeah, if you don't want the fact, don't.
- 1:12:25Don't listen. Ruthless Joe.
- 1:12:30But it's true. You know, I think PJ really hurt
- 1:12:32himself with that little blow up he had.
- 1:12:34And, you know, and it just, you know, this is, this is the kind
- 1:12:37of thing that somebody like Matt will take as motivation to be
- 1:12:41like, you know what, now I even got more reason to beat your
- 1:12:44ass, you know, because I guarantee you when he does win
- 1:12:47that championship, he's going to definitely poke the bear a
- 1:12:50little bit on his way out the door.
- 1:12:53You know, so, so I, I honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Blake
- 1:12:58really steps up this weekend at CODA and kind of steps in and,
- 1:13:02and even buffers between himself and PJ and, and Matt to even
- 1:13:07help Matt out a little bit. I wouldn't be surprised if the
- 1:13:10Strat team kind of, you know, gave Blake a little bit
- 1:13:14incentive to to slow PJ down and maybe leave Koda with the
- 1:13:18championship. Right, right.
- 1:13:21Yeah, I, I can see that. I mean, I, I think that's, that,
- 1:13:25I mean, I think Schultz has a better chance of having Davis
- 1:13:29help him out than the, the, the PJ Jacobs teammates because, you
- 1:13:34know, they just haven't been, you know, they're close to the
- 1:13:36front, but they haven't been out front like that.
- 1:13:39And you know, you know, Davis has shown that he can run out
- 1:13:42front. So at least he has a chance to,
- 1:13:44to get in the way. But if you can't get in the way,
- 1:13:46you can't help your teammate out at all.
- 1:13:48So I, I agree with you there. I mean, I, I think that, you
- 1:13:53know, it's, it's a good chance for, for the Yamaha boys to, to
- 1:13:56wrap it up sooner than later. Yeah, if PJ gets involved or he
- 1:14:00if he can stay in the mix, I seriously think that the the the
- 1:14:05Yamaha team will leave Koda, if not with the championship, with
- 1:14:09a pretty good lock on the championship.
- 1:14:11Maybe they only need one race at Jersey to like really put a
- 1:14:13stamp on it. It won't come down to the last
- 1:14:15race of the year. That's my feeling.
- 1:14:18That's what. That's what we'd like to hear,
- 1:14:20man. There's a few more rounds left.
- 1:14:22You know, we're already well past the hour and change marker.
- 1:14:26So I think we're going to wrap it and not talk about what's
- 1:14:28coming this weekend. We can, we can wrap up on Monday
- 1:14:31or or Wednesday if you guys are around for that.
- 1:14:34But I, you know, I want to thank you guys.
- 1:14:35This is very it's been very insight, insightful, you know,
- 1:14:40just talking about these championships because you know,
- 1:14:42it's it's crunch times and and I don't wish I kind of wish I was
- 1:14:45in your shoes race, but when the champagne is popping, not right
- 1:14:50now. It comes down.
- 1:14:56It's stressful, man. You know, because it, it, it,
- 1:15:00you know, I mean, I think the good thing for you guys is you
- 1:15:02guys have done it already and, and so you guys know what to
- 1:15:05expect. But you know, when, when, when
- 1:15:07teams are that close to it in the big one, man, I, I, I got to
- 1:15:10assume there's a lot less sleep happening and a lot more sweat
- 1:15:13happening. You you 100% right about that.
- 1:15:19So I want to you all right? Yeah, now for sure, man, It's
- 1:15:22wild. I want to thank you guys for
- 1:15:23coming on to tonight. I want to thanks to listeners
- 1:15:27for commenting and continue to like and subscribe and and shout
- 1:15:31us out on social media and all that fun stuff.
- 1:15:33We really appreciate it because without you guys we couldn't be
- 1:15:35doing it up here ourselves. We got Reese from Attack Yamaha,
- 1:15:39we got TJ from 2 Wheels and Coffee.
- 1:15:42We got the real Luis Ortega the numbers guy and does a whole
- 1:15:45bunch of other things as well. My name is Rex 45.
- 1:15:48It's the beef. Very cool show.
- 1:15:50Peace. Peace.
