- Najah: You know what I don't consider integrity? Telling the truth after you got caught. Because at that point you're not choosing honesty. You're responding to evidence. Integrity is telling the truth when the lie is still an option. Integrity is being honest before somebody finds the screenshots, before the receipts show up, and before the story falls apart. And here's the problem. Once you've been caught lying, nobody knows if the truth you're telling now is actually the truth. Because five minutes ago you were committed to the lie. So don't ask for credit after you finally admitted it, after you ran out of exits. That's not integrity. That's damage control. or self-preservation. You didn't tell the truth because it was right. You told the truth because the lie stopped working. and for me. I'm not sure the truth still counts when it shows up late. Not when honesty was available the whole time. Not when the truth had to be dragged out of you. because getting caught didn't create the character flaw. It exposed it. So no. I'm not calling that integrity.
