- 0:21her chicken coop, along with all her chickens.
- 0:28Hey, everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30We've all heard the phrase an apple a day keeps the doctor
- 0:33away. And originally, you know,
- 0:36obviously this was because people wanted doctors wanted us
- 0:39to eat more fruits and vegetables.
- 0:41And it was a nice little rhyme and it made everybody remember
- 0:44it. And, you know, have your fruit,
- 0:45have the things that make you healthy.
- 0:47And I love it because it just, it's a good reminder.
- 0:50But you know, we have to start to think of it in terms from
- 0:53mental aspect as well, because often we forget that we need to
- 0:57take care of ourselves mentally as well.
- 1:00So when you look at that, it's like for me, I, I tend to use
- 1:05this little phrase instead. Small everyday deeds keep the
- 1:08darkness away, and the darkness meaning the negativity, the lack
- 1:15of just positivity that's around all the time.
- 1:20You have an opportunity to tap into it anytime you turn the
- 1:23television on because it's filled with those opportunities.
- 1:27Algorithms in social media are meant to agitate.
- 1:31That's one of their favorite words.
- 1:33They're meant to agitate. If you didn't know that, oh boy,
- 1:36do they just want to agitate Now, does it always mean they're
- 1:41doing it in the negative? No.
- 1:43Sometimes they are doing it in the positive to get you to
- 1:46purchase things, whatever. But there are agitation, and
- 1:50often we have an association to that with the negative.
- 1:53But in this case, I am talking about the negative because these
- 1:57small, little, tiny things you do every day help you stay away
- 2:02from that darkness, bring you into the light.
- 2:06And it doesn't have to be grand things, you know, you've heard
- 2:09me say a million times, it's like those one little step.
- 2:12So if I take one step, if I just stop, I'm I'm walking in circles
- 2:16out at the chicken coop and the girls actually are chowing down.
- 2:20So they're they're fairly quiet right this second.
- 2:22I just realized that. But if I take one step, I'm one.
- 2:27I change my perspective on looking at them.
- 2:29If I take one more step, I change it even closer.
- 2:32It's like taking a camera lens and zooming in and out and you
- 2:36see, you just hit those little degrees and all of a sudden the
- 2:39view changes, the view changes, the view changes.
- 2:41And that's what this does these little everyday deeds that we
- 2:44do. So whether it is saying thank
- 2:48you, whether it is going out and telling somebody how much you
- 2:53appreciate them. Whether it's buying someone a
- 2:56coffee and paying it forward. Whether it's writing thank you
- 3:00notes to your clients. Whether it is buying a book that
- 3:04was an influence in your life and leaving it somewhere so
- 3:07someone can find it and trusting that the right person is going
- 3:10to find that book for what they need at that moment in time.
- 3:14All of these things are just a little tiny drips into the
- 3:19universe that help people along the way, and they help us in the
- 3:24process keep the darkness away because I'm adding it in.
- 3:28So do I have to come out here every day and spoil my chickens?
- 3:33No. Do I have to take, you know, 20
- 3:35minutes every morning to make their breakfast and get them out
- 3:38there when they have, you know, big bins of food inside that
- 3:42they could eat every day and they have them available all the
- 3:45time? No, I don't have to.
- 3:47But these little acts of kindness towards these animals,
- 3:50these little souls that are entrusted to me, push that light
- 3:55forward and take that darkness away.
- 3:57And I know that handedly because I see how they are with me.
- 4:01I see how they come to me. I see how they want to spend
- 4:05time with me. And they wouldn't do that if, in
- 4:08fact, I was not pushing out that light and keeping the dark away.
- 4:14And that is a great feeling to have.
- 4:17You know, our free range bunnies just come right up to me.
- 4:21They don't have to, but they do. Do they go to others?
- 4:23No, they come to me. My one of my cousins said, it's
- 4:28like you're Snow White. And I started laughing.
- 4:30And I was like, yeah, kind of. And but that's because I'm
- 4:34putting the light out there. That's because I'm not shutting
- 4:37it down. So how do you do this every
- 4:40single day? Well, you heard my ideas a few
- 4:42seconds ago. I gave them to you.
- 4:43But more importantly, it starts in your head.
- 4:46It starts with positive thoughts and sending positive thoughts to
- 4:50people. Like if you know someones going
- 4:52through something hard, but you can't really talk to them about
- 4:54it for one reason or another, you just send them love.
- 4:58Every day you sit and think about them and say don't have
- 5:01just pity, send them love. Actually think about them in
- 5:04terms of sending them a hug, sending them love and seeing
- 5:08them, you know, feeling better, seeing them, feeling like they
- 5:12have good things happening. All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:16you have a blessed day and practice this because I promise
- 5:19you the everyday deeds keep the darkness away.
- 5:23All right, I will see you all tomorrow.
- 5:25Bye.
