- 0:00What's up y'all? Welcome choice the What More Can I Say? Podcast?
- 0:04Off the Record, Episode three. It's the audio only. Of course,
- 0:07if you're listening, that means you won't be able to see some of the
- 0:10crazy faces in here that will be making Hey, I'm one of your whole
- 0:13soga pauls. She is fluffy and five. Her name is Kiki and that
- 0:17is the funny man, Zach, Buz, what's up? What's up y'all?
- 0:21What's happening? Man? So what are we talking about? Crazy is
- 0:24what we're doing. We're talking about like, you know, when you break
- 0:27up, just say you're in a relationship, it was a long relationship,
- 0:31you shared friends and all of that. When you break up, how do
- 0:38you split up the friend group? Ooh, that can get tricky sometimes.
- 0:44I know some people who were in relationships, like in college or whatever,
- 0:47and they actually share, genuinely share the friend group and then they then they
- 0:53break then they break up, and it's weird, huh when somebody has something
- 0:58that's interesting because I've exactly no I know I have, but I've never been
- 1:03broken up with. But I've never I don't believe in my we not all
- 1:10friends like I got my friends. He got his friends, you friends,
- 1:15No, Like I'm cool with his friends. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:17They cool, they come out of the house, they cool, cool.
- 1:19But those are his friends, right and my friends are my friends. There's
- 1:23no reason for my friends to have your number or be calling you or y'all
- 1:29need to be communicating without me present, you know what I'm saying. So
- 1:32like, I don't even believe in the whole mixing like that now with with
- 1:38relationships like that, I feel that are mixed in college and stuff, you
- 1:42cause that's where it should start. I just feel like as adults, like
- 1:45if I'm in a relationship with a man and I'm grown, I don't need
- 1:49to His friends ain't my friends, you know what I'm saying. But if
- 1:53we are talking in college, then you always find out who the realists like
- 1:57because the group gonna go with whoever was the the cooler person the real list,
- 2:00because a lot of times we just tolerating y'all partners, you know what
- 2:04I'm saying. Like Zach, my homie, I just tolerate whoever he deal
- 2:07with because I'm cool with Zach. Get rid of that heifer. No,
- 2:12that's happy. You know what I'm saying, So it's weird, Like I
- 2:15just had a friend and two of my closest friends was dating each other and
- 2:20they broke up. Yes, now, admittedly me and the guy, we
- 2:25have been closer for a while, you know what I'm saying. We just
- 2:30worked We've worked together for a long time. We just we just had had
- 2:32a closer relationship. But this is my girl from grade school. She might
- 2:36girl like you know what I'm saying. So they had a very messy breakup,
- 2:38and when we would go, I had events where I have to invite
- 2:43both of them, Like I'm not gonna not invite her because you're coming,
- 2:46and I'm not gonna not invite him because you're coming. Yeah, because y'all
- 2:49just gotta be a hey. I want that when y'all was bumping, and
- 2:52I don't need to be in the middle of it when y'all ain't you know
- 2:53what I'm saying, Like, don't make me choose as the one as being
- 2:57a friend. I'm not choosing like it, y'all need to come and support
- 3:00me and act like adults or yeah, I'm gonna figure out who cooler,
- 3:05you know, Like i'mna feel I'm gonna figure out who the realists. But
- 3:07as the friend, I'm like, so you cool with both of them?
- 3:10Still? Yes, And both of them have beened to me about the other,
- 3:15and I would never go back and tell each part. I don't get
- 3:17in that. You know what I'm saying. But I'm a listener here and
- 3:21I love both of y'all. And when it's my birthday, both of y'all
- 3:23don't get an invite. And if you mad that I invited him to them,
- 3:27bad, If you mad that I invited her, get over it.
- 3:29I don't give a damn. It ain't about y'all. It's about me,
- 3:31So come and support and have fun. But yeah, so I'm I'm the
- 3:37friend that ain't choosing. I'm not making like, don't put me in that
- 3:39spot. No, you got to choose. No, No, I always
- 3:46think that, like if, because what happens with me a lot of times
- 3:50is like the women that I date, they still want the access. I
- 3:53got pretty cool friends. They still want some of that accents. Yeah,
- 3:57they want the access. They were like, okay, I they got cool
- 4:00with some of his business partners because I was getting in the club. But
- 4:03I you know, I ain't need to be here because if I'm looking you
- 4:08know, not for tall women. Nah, you don't do that no more.
- 4:11You know that. Ain't that my business partners. I don't put them
- 4:14in a position where they got to look out for you because they didn't help
- 4:17looked out for you once. Y'all ain't real friends. They only was rocking
- 4:21with you because he was with me, And like it's it gets triggered because
- 4:26I wouldn't. I ain't gonna never be like man, some of her cool
- 4:30homies that I was cool with, Damn Kiki, some of the some of
- 4:34the cool homies that I was cool with her girls that I thought was cool.
- 4:41I'm not gonna be like start inviting them back out to the club.
- 4:44Ay, y'all good, y'all want to come to the club, y'all want
- 4:46to sit with me? None of that stuff. Ain't none of that now.
- 4:47If you out, I'm not gonna her friends are out. I'm not
- 4:50gonna be mean to him and tell them they can't sit at the table.
- 4:54But I'm also not going to invite them to the table. And if they
- 4:57her friends, they shouldn't be at your table. No way. Yeah,
- 5:00I don't let Yeah, I don't. They don't do I don't think.
- 5:02I don't think they do. I don't think no, no, no,
- 5:05they'll do it. They'll come and speak and say what's up? Like I
- 5:09just leave when you your friends, your friends and your friends like, I'm
- 5:13not mad at your friends, but I'm not following them on Instagram. I'm
- 5:17not doing nothing. I'm just hey, we had your friends, go with
- 5:21you, my friends, come with me. Don't try to use I've had
- 5:25people because of the they got cool with the Team Hennessy stuff and go out
- 5:29of town and hit hit my hit my friends with Team Hennessy and be like
- 5:33hit him and be like, yo, is it cool? You get me
- 5:36into the cub like my boy hit me? Like, hey man, right,
- 5:44ain't no way? What should I do? I was like, hey
- 5:46man, do what you do, whatever you feel, do whatever you feel.
- 5:48Let me tell you something. The dudes that's doing you need to keep
- 5:51an eye on. Oh yeah, okay, No, I wouldn't say that,
- 5:55yes you do, because what what what? Hey? Hey, I'm
- 5:59your friend, so you shouldn't you hitting me. It's even irritating me because
- 6:01you should have just knew what to do in that situation anyway, and then
- 6:04hit me on the late light Bro, you know so and so tried to
- 6:06pull up on me. I told her ass now because I know y'all are
- 6:09fucking with each other no more, and leave it at that. But if
- 6:12you come calling me to me, yeah, she's standing right here. What
- 6:15else what you want me to say? And then I say, because I'm
- 6:16gonna keep a player right in on the phone. Do whatever you feel and
- 6:21you give her a section what you want, Bro, that's real, like
- 6:26you put I think it's levels. I'm not gonna get her a sex Let
- 6:30me talk to Okay, So here's no no, I'm gonna tell you.
- 6:36Let me explain. Okay. One of my best no, okay, go
- 6:43ahead, Sorry, my best friend. He's on and off with this girl
- 6:46all the time. They've been on and off since I've known him. He's
- 6:49one of my best friends in the world. He knows it. Would never
- 6:53do anything behind his back. That's crazy, all right. Well, his
- 6:57they broke up, but then they get back together, they break up,
- 7:00they get back together every time they break up. I never talked to her,
- 7:02you know what I'm saying. The only time I talk to her is
- 7:04when they are together and he's with her. You know what I'm saying,
- 7:09that's the only time. Now. What I'm trying to say is I have
- 7:13known her long enough. I've known her over fifteen years. If she was
- 7:16in Chicago, okay, and she and she hit me and was like,
- 7:21Zach, I'm at the wit, can you get me in? I would
- 7:28do it get yourself. But it wouldn't it wouldn't be don't I wouldn't go
- 7:33out my way to do it. Like what I'm saying is like, but
- 7:36you see, you know what I'm saying, My boys ex my boys even
- 7:41if they on and off again, any of that stuff. I would tell
- 7:44my boy to my homies. But I understand that, but I don't I
- 7:47look at it because I already know he would tell me. Yeah, let
- 7:51her in tell me what you know what I'm saying. He wanted to see
- 7:55what she's doing. You know what I'm saying, Like I wouldn't go Like
- 7:59I guess what I'm saying. We were all I guess. The difference is
- 8:01we were all one big friend group in college. We all hung out together.
- 8:07Like I know these people personally as but when they when they're their thing,
- 8:11they they think when they not I don't talk to her or anything like
- 8:15that. But I'm saying there, if she was there, she would be
- 8:16there because I used talk to her friend. So if they were group opposed
- 8:20to like adults, that's college friend groups. But if you know me and
- 8:24my girl not together, you know that we're not together right now, you
- 8:28finish bring her in the clubs, you can find another man. No,
- 8:31what I'm trying to say is, what I'm trying to say is if I
- 8:35if your girls shouldn't even have my number, thank you in the first place.
- 8:39So what I'm saying is if she can call me and contact me about
- 8:43getting in somewhere, then I must have a relationship with that person. But
- 8:46I'm not gonna have the number of my friend's girl anyway, Like why would
- 8:52that number even be? Why would I have her number? But something happened
- 8:58to me recently, and I'll give you an example, and I felt a
- 9:01way and it was like it was like I was like, Yo, don't
- 9:07put me in my you know, I had a situation. Don't put me
- 9:11in my girl in y'all situation. I'm sitting we switcherling, and I let
- 9:18it slide. Who said that? One of my friends said that said we
- 9:22said me and my girls are switching. We Switzerland. Don't put us in
- 9:24y'all situation, I said, and I I didn't want to ruin the night,
- 9:30but I had to go back and explain. I said, hey,
- 9:33bro, that made me feel feel a way. I felt bad. Why
- 9:37I'm just saying, I don't want to be in y'all mess. I don't
- 9:39want to. You know, we don't want to be in between us.
- 9:41So I said, I understand that. But when you say you switzerling to
- 9:45me, that means that you're neutral. And I was like, I was
- 9:48like, you wouldn't know her if it wasn't for me. Now I know
- 9:52y'all built a relationship. I know y'all built a relationship. That's cool.
- 9:56I'm not saying hater, but hey, man, if if you my dog,
- 10:01you ain't Switzerland, you're supposed to be on my side. Because I
- 10:05was like, if somebody asked me about if somebody, if it came between
- 10:09you and your situation, I'm with you. I with you all day,
- 10:13foe, and I don't care what going on. Hey, I don't got
- 10:16done. I ain't against her. I don't hate her, but I can't
- 10:20and I think a real person will understand me. Saying, Hey, I
- 10:24can't fuck with you because you ain't fucking with my boy no more. I'm
- 10:28sorry, I'm sorry. I just can't. I can't be around I can't,
- 10:31I can't. I just not gonna do that. I'm not gonna be
- 10:33around you and fuck with you. But honestly, in his situation, it
- 10:35sounds like he said we Switzerland. So when he said we, I hear
- 10:39that differently. I heard that as me. And when he say we,
- 10:43he probably saying me and my lady. Yeah, correct, Okay, So
- 10:46he's saying me and my lady are out of it. And the only reason
- 10:50I think he said we is because she and I don't know the situation.
- 10:56But I'm just the way it sounded. It sounds like she don't want to
- 10:58be in the middle of it. Does that make sense? Like his girl
- 11:03don't want to be in the middle of it, and I just has a
- 11:05better relationship with you. So he has to speak. He's speaking for the
- 11:07group. He ain't speaking for him. He's saying we ain't saying that.
- 11:13That makes sense. That's what that sounded like to me. He's like,
- 11:16we ain't got nothing to do with that. That makes it seem like I'm
- 11:20taking up for my lady right now. She don't want to be in the
- 11:22middle of y'all. Yeah, thing and thing, that's what that sounds like.
- 11:26I don't think that's to me, that didn't sound like. But initially
- 11:28when I heard it, I was I felt a way because I was just
- 11:31like yo, bro, like because like I said, like, like,
- 11:33hey, I love Tim. I love Tim. That's I met him a
- 11:37bunch of time. Nice guy. He ain't Dad Kiki, no more your
- 11:41ghost to me. And that's just the fact that that it's it's nothing against
- 11:45him, there's nothing against him. And if I saw him, I wouldn't
- 11:48be like, I wouldn't ignore him, but I would just it's just how
- 11:50I move, bro. And that's that's why I said, like, when
- 11:54you know I've dated, I've dated women that we are. We have had
- 12:01intertwine friends, crazy intertwine friends. Once it was a rap. It's a
- 12:07rap, like my like dude, like my my baby mama sorrow. Trinity's
- 12:11mama sorrow was my dog, you hear me, like, such a nice
- 12:16person, such a great that's just my dog coole as hell. But when
- 12:22it was over, it was over with. I reach out to her when
- 12:26I was in Ohio, like, hey, like you know that type of
- 12:31stuff. What I like, I like, I said, I tend to
- 12:33find is that which I get. I get it, but it ain't right.
- 12:39It's like I introduce you to these power players that you would have never
- 12:43had access to, or you would have had access to for you could have
- 12:48had access to them for another reason or whatever that is. But now you
- 12:52still trying to use my hookups that I got. You try to use my
- 12:56hookups to keep your life straight and eat no like when my life when when
- 13:01you you not with me no more? You got to go make your own.
- 13:05You got to make your own wook cups. Since the hookups die,
- 13:07the hookups die, ain't no way, ain't no way. Talking about can
- 13:11you get I wish, I wish somebody ex? Would you talk about Zach?
- 13:13Can you get me some tickets to what? Or like, okay,
- 13:18so what about one of your exes family members one of my ex's family members.
- 13:22Yeah, so like you and your ex we was together and then when
- 13:24do you cut off the family? That's that's that's tough. You know what
- 13:31I'm saying. It depends I guess it depends on the relationship. You know
- 13:35what I'm saying, like, what what were we You know what I'm saying,
- 13:37if we were just dating, if we were married, I think that
- 13:39makes a big difference, just just a relationship with you know what I'm saying,
- 13:46Like I still have a very good relationship with my ex wife's dad.
- 13:50Okay, you know what I'm saying, Like, that's that's your grandfather.
- 13:54But we we share we share a common interest, right, my son.
- 13:58So you know what I'm I'm saying, like that's his grandfather, that's and
- 14:01that's never gonna change. That's always his grandfather. But if there was no
- 14:05just like there was no Noah, you dated you? Oh I'm gone,
- 14:09what fuck I'm talking you for? Oh my god? Okay, all right,
- 14:15to make mister Weston get off my life. I want to make sure
- 14:18I'm not going he may call. I mean, I'm not saying on his
- 14:20phone, but I'm saying like it wouldn't be the same, Like we literally
- 14:24have a common interest. So yes, you know what I'm saying. But
- 14:28it's it's hard, you know what I'm saying, Like it ain't Actually it's
- 14:31not hard. We cool, but I understand how that could get how that
- 14:35could get tricky. If we ain't got no common interest, I don't have
- 14:37to talk to you. I don't have to see you. You shouldn't have.
- 14:39I guess what I'm trying to say is the people who can contact me
- 14:43can contact me. If that makes sense. I don't know. I don't
- 14:48exchange numbers with my friends women, right. That's why I brought it to
- 14:52family, because I was like, maybe family would be a little different.
- 14:54We just not feinna. I'm just not finna have your IM not gonna be
- 15:00walking around with tone woman number in no way, shape or form. If
- 15:05I got something to ask her, And guess what I'm gonna do, ask
- 15:07him, and he gonna ask her, Like I'm gonna ask through him.
- 15:11I'm not gonna hit up. But why would I have I never should have
- 15:16my friend woman number. And it's not a it's not a thing communicating in
- 15:20that way like I just had even I had even what does this go to
- 15:24friendships too? Because I had a friendship like like my homie, like man,
- 15:30cool cool cool. We fell out and that and that that was it.
- 15:35And then they went and tried to ask one of my hookups for something
- 15:39to help him. It was like, yeah, I know, bro,
- 15:41like you know me and tone you know, we ain't cool no more,
- 15:45man, but hey, I really need your help on some business stuff.
- 15:48And I'm like, now. My boy called me instantly like I ain't really
- 15:52let him have it, but I just was like, you know, bro,
- 15:54I'm busy right now. I can't do it. He was like,
- 15:56he was like, dudesus crazy. Yeah, it be acity. It's always
- 16:02the audacity because you you introduce people to each other and they start thinking that
- 16:04they don't need you or like and it's like yeah, like that people people
- 16:11get wild, you know what I'm saying, Like that's the reason. Yeah,
- 16:15yeah, that's crazy. So that's one that I've noticed especially. I
- 16:18mean, I know if y'all know this is with our jobs. There's two
- 16:22things about our jobs. Is that when people start hanging around us and I'm
- 16:26going to say the one thing that probably is going to you, you both
- 16:30then ran into they think anybody could do it because the way we make it
- 16:34looks it's so easy. Your job so easy, man. I wish man,
- 16:38I wish I had a job. I could just sit out at the
- 16:41talk yep. They think that they think that this is the easiest job in
- 16:48the world not although this ain't this, ain't picking up boxes at ups.
- 16:52Why you tied? You have no idea? Asked you why you tired?
- 16:56The stress? So they hang around you and then they start. I see
- 17:00how you move, and they see how you move, they see the connections
- 17:03they see They're like, I could do that, that's easy. But they
- 17:06don't understand. They ain't see the role that you took to get all of
- 17:10those connections. And it just you make everything look so easy. They see
- 17:14the finished products, so to speak. They have no idea. You look
- 17:18like you will you live in that? Oh yeah, I mean people think
- 17:22it's always. It's always. That's why I'm like, anytime I get to
- 17:25tell my story somewhere, I love to share it because people think, like,
- 17:30how she get that and why she get that? And she don't what
- 17:33she don't deserve and she y'all couldn't last five minutes. And the ship I
- 17:37had to do to get here, okay, and the ship I had to
- 17:41learn and go and figure out, Like I didn't wake up like this.
- 17:44I fucking built this, Like I work my ass off to get the same
- 17:47thing for y'all. Like people just think, you know, oh, you
- 17:51just woke up on the radio like are you kidding me? No? And
- 17:55so it it's crazy to ever assume that about somebody's career. And I I
- 18:00just pray for the people who think like that because they go to bed at
- 18:02night really upset that it's them, that it's not them, you know what
- 18:04I'm saying, Like people are losing sleep over your life right now. Tone
- 18:07like they going to bed like punching their like what the wow? How?
- 18:12And they have no idea, no idea. And I say stuff all the
- 18:17time like when people get to talking, I'll let you. I'll let you
- 18:19have it every once in a while. But again and I just like you
- 18:25said, you have no idea that the building blocks of it like it just
- 18:29it looks easy because we've been doing it for so long, the way we
- 18:33move within these spaces and how to. But I always tell people like I
- 18:37like, yo, bro, like you were you were having fun and you
- 18:41was out here having sex with all the chicks downtown and you was partying,
- 18:45staying up and doing bro. I was I was in the studio. Yeah.
- 18:49Or you had a decent salary when you first came out of college.
- 18:52You got a job with a good salary and benefits and able to start a
- 18:56family and take care of a family and build up a nice, beautiful life.
- 19:00It. I got ten plus years to get the money, and I
- 19:04still ain't got no money. They broke it. Spent the first eight years
- 19:10of my career without health insurance, thank you, because I couldn't afford to
- 19:15take that money out of my check. I needed that to make the budgets.
- 19:18I'm praying I don't get sick. I'm hooping like like, man,
- 19:22I hope I don't break nothing, because if I break, maybe I think
- 19:26I broke my ankle. Man, I just paid that medical bill. I
- 19:27wasn't giving them money that. I was like, yo, I'm not gonna
- 19:30give you nothing like so it's a they don't understand those different things. But
- 19:37I think that I think that's probably my my biggest thing is when people try
- 19:41to use hookups. Like I said, I've dated some powerful ass women,
- 19:45some powerful women, and they introduce me to some real bosses, some real
- 19:52bosses. I would not reach out to them people after it was over.
- 19:56I wu was not going to reach out and be like, hey, you
- 19:57know, me and me and Rocket no more. But you remember you had
