Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_01: A minority miracle, two hundred and fifty years of American exceptionalism.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: Two hundred and fifty years ago on july fourth, seventeen seventy six, a small group of men, educated, propertied, and fully aware of what they risked, pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to take the first step toward founding something that the world has never seen.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: A nation grounded in the conviction that rights come from God and not from the government.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: They did not claim to create those rights, they recognized them and built a republic whose sole legitimate purpose was to protect them.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: Tom Hampson, welcome.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: Thanks for writing that.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: You call America's founding a miracle.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: W what do you mean by that, Tom?
- 0:46SPEAKER_02: Well, actually the miracle is that we're still around more than more than the founding of it.
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: But the founding of it was a unique uh um event as well, because there has never been, still hasn't, still isn't, any country in the world that's ever established rights that uh came from God.
- 1:05SPEAKER_02: All the other all the other countries in history have given people rights that come from either the the monarch or the government.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: Even the people in the Soviet Union supposedly had rights.
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: Not that anybody honored them, but they supposedly did.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: You mentioned a lot of the revolutions uh throughout history.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Revolutions are usually led by minorities, you say.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: It was ours.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: And you talk about how each one of them failed.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: France, liberty without limits on power, we know the French Revolution, Russia, the state, becomes God.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: China, it was it Mao that uh it was such a disaster.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: China, the utopia through force, Cuba, Iran.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: So what happened with those revolutions?
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: Let's talk about the French, you know, the French Revolution, because I you know, I just remember I just remember so many people going under and getting their heads cut off, right?
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: It starts out with this idea, huh, that that we're being oppressed or suppressed.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: We hear this today, even in the United States.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: A minority lashes out, and the minority gets in power, Tom, and and and what happens?
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: So let me just sum that up a little bit the way you did it.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: A motivated minority rises against injustice, the old regime falls, revolutionary leaders they come together and consolidate their power somehow, and then in a new tyranny emerges, and it's worse than than than the one that they took their place.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: And we see this over and over again in history.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: Right, they wound up killing all the people that or whatever people they could find who they felt had been the cause of the injustice, and then after a time uh the very people that founded the revolution, started the revolution, started um becoming victimized by their own organization.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: And then in in France, then Napoleon arose after that, after the chaos of the French Revolution.
- 3:07SPEAKER_02: Because part of it was the democracies a pure democracy is is a tyranny anyway.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: It it winds up the I think the the language in our own history has been it's a t the tyranny of the majority.
- 3:22SPEAKER_02: Where all you need is a majority and then they can they can oppress the minority.
- 3:26SPEAKER_02: And we can see that today even in the in in the United States.
- 3:29SPEAKER_02: You see it all the time.
- 3:32SPEAKER_02: What's an example of that when when you say Well I can you know the the example is up in uh in Minnesota, the people who are running the government the uh politicians and the prosecutor there just let Don Lemon and the others who invaded that church off.
- 3:50SPEAKER_02: They said they're not gonna prosecute them because after all, they have freedom of speech.
- 3:55SPEAKER_02: This is they they they're refusing to prosecute them because of the the uh majority elected them and they can decide who they're gonna prosecute and who they're not.
- 4:04SPEAKER_02: And that's that isn't the idea of of uh justice.
- 4:09SPEAKER_02: Justice is supposed to be blind and the laws are supposed to be carried out regardless of who's in power.
- 4:15SPEAKER_02: And in general, the United States has followed that path.
- 4:18SPEAKER_02: But the what we what you see in places like Minnesota or any place where they have a sanctuary policy is the same kind of defiance of the law that existed during right prior to the Civil War, where the uh Southern uh the Southern uh power holders refused to adhere to the the laws of the of the United States.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so as you mentioned in here, the Declaration of Independence claims that the rights come from God.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: That's the most important political statement in history, and this is why we we're still around.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: This is the miracle.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: Well, what our founding fathers say so clearly that you have to have a moral and religious people.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: You have to have a people that will follow those laws, and if they're gonna change those laws, then then they argue back and forth and they uh and they do it properly.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: And the difference is, Tom, you see this today, you know, you get the Joe Biden's of the world in, and boom, you know, everything could be taken apart if the citizens of that country do not also follow the United States that says that uh we we're created by a higher power, it's when they reject that higher power, I I would argue, that evil comes right into your own heart and then it starts to take everything down.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: I I think this is what we're experiencing today.
- 5:42SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 5:43SPEAKER_02: Because uh in order to ensure that the rights we have are protected, people in power have to have the moral conviction to do what the law calls for to protect those rights.
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: And and at this moment there are not enough people that are out there willing to do that.
- 6:03SPEAKER_02: We've survived uh as long as we have is because the the people in this country see the nation as something greater than them, that the principles that that we believe in are worth fighting for, whether it's fighting in the battlefield or whether it's fighting on the streets to ensure that that justice is served.
- 6:24SPEAKER_02: That that conviction is beginning to erode.
- 6:27SPEAKER_02: There's a lot of people that don't even realize, younger people very often don't even realize that our rights come from God.
- 6:34SPEAKER_02: There's the idea that the rights are granted to us by the government, and that's not true.
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: Our freedom of speech, our freedom for self-defense, commemorated in the Second Amendment, applies to everybody in the world.
- 6:48SPEAKER_02: Just because they don't have that, that doesn't mean, you know, just because their government doesn't honor it, that doesn't mean it's not there, because God gave it to all of us.
- 6:56SPEAKER_02: All humanity has these same rights.
- 6:59SPEAKER_02: And if you if we have a country that gets to the point where the majority of us don't believe that anymore, don't believe it and think that they can take these rights away whenever they want.
- 7:10SPEAKER_02: All you gotta do is pass an amendment and get rid of it, then we will be lost.
- 7:15SPEAKER_02: We will go the way of France and Russia and and these others that where the revolution eventually devolved into tyranny.
- 7:24SPEAKER_02: And I I am concerned today because there is a substantial minority in this country that believe that's true.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: We're we're electing communists to uh positions uh the mayor of New York, the mayor of San Francisco Seattle, I think it is, uh, are communists.
- 7:41SPEAKER_02: They're people seem to be very comfortable with with communism, and that is a godless that is a totally godless uh political system.
- 7:51SPEAKER_02: If that gets in, then we they have we have nobody left that believes that our rights come from God because there is no God.
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and here's here's what you allude to in your your article is when the new people come in, so we get tired of Mom Donnie uh and uh uh in New York or uh the the the crazy mayor in Seattle, who I I don't think either of them ever held a uh a job before, so they have no idea you know what what it really is to work and make a living and pay off the city.
- 8:22SPEAKER_02: Brandon Johnson here in Chicago.
- 8:23SPEAKER_01: Brandon Johnson, right?
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: I mean, it here there's another one.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: And so what'll happen is finally people are getting s will get so tired of the of all of the homelessness, all of the corruption.
- 8:35SPEAKER_01: They you know, they estimate now that it's up to$500 billion a year goes to corruption, just overall corruption.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: We take our taxes and we just give it away for votes, you know.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: So, so let's say in these cities, people will finally revolt.
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: You know, you're giving money away to everybody else and not to me, and uh you're taking my standard of living down, inflation continues to go, the taxes continue to get higher.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: Finally, I say enough is enough.
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: So I revolt, but I don't believe in God.
- 9:05SPEAKER_01: So what do I do, Tom?
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: You know, I I just start burning down the same things you burnt down before.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: And you know what?
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: At the end of the day, there's gonna be nobody to rebuild it anymore because the people that are entrepreneurial, the people that do believe in God, that do believe in law, that do believe in property rights, why would they put all that money and time and effort into building something when the next person's gonna come in and take it all down or imprison them?
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: And if you think this is a joke, you know how many people just during this COVID thing that I know, small business owners, lost their businesses.
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: And if they protested, Tom, they they arrested them.
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: You cannot make this stuff up.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: We just had this though.
- 9:49SPEAKER_02: And and Well we just had it in the Biden administration.
- 9:52SPEAKER_02: We had we had dozens of people that were held in jail for years on trespassing charges.
- 9:59SPEAKER_02: This is uh what how can you possibly do that in a country like this?
- 10:03SPEAKER_02: How is that how can anybody look themselves in the mirror and say that this is this is justice?
- 10:08SPEAKER_02: This is insane.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: So what we're doing here, and the the reason I wanted to do this show with you, Tom, to talk about these things is because these young men that we're reaching out to, they sense something's wrong and they have to really get back to these documents again, understand what they are, but they also have to believe in God themselves.
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: Hey, look at look around you, look at the evil, and say, I'm a man of of virtue and I'm gonna live up, right?
- 10:34SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna become a man, live up to the laws of the land that are righteous laws, and and don't forget these things.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: You know, many conservatives spent years being de-platformed, demonetized, shadow banned, censored, label as threats just because they stood up for the rights, so these rights can be taken away, and they and we just had this happen.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: I really believe, and let me get your opinion on this.
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: I really believe that if uh Kamala Harris and Tim Walls, now Tim Walls, knew about this corruption in Minnesota, and more and more of this is coming out, they didn't care, Tom, long as they stayed in power and had the votes, they gave away all of these billions of dollars to uh the Somalias, and it doesn't matter to them who they give it away to as long as they support them, right?
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: And so everybody that spoke up against this was was censored.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: If Elon Musk didn't come in and put X together, there'd be no voice out there.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: If Trump didn't come in, who who would do anything, Tom?
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: It's really something uh what was happening to our country.
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: But yet I I think we're really close to that.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: Again, and this is why I wanted to do this show.
- 11:41SPEAKER_01: You know, I want to get your opinion on this.
- 11:43SPEAKER_01: I i i the midterm elections are coming up, and because of the war in Iran, you know, inflation's a little high, people are not willing to sacrifice to your earlier comment.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: I uh you know, people don't know.
- 11:55SPEAKER_01: They don't believe in God, they don't believe in a higher power, so they just feel this emotion and they get angry and they want their piece of the pie.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: And so you have a bunch of of of people rising up to do what?
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: Just to cause violence?
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: And you see that in these protesters that are going after uh you know the the uh officers from ICE.
- 12:14SPEAKER_02: Well half of them are being paid by some unknown group that is supplying the money for it.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 12:21SPEAKER_02: So it's not a lot of these, most of these are not really spontaneous kind of riots.
- 12:25SPEAKER_02: And part of it also is because nobody will nobody will take any action against it.
- 12:29SPEAKER_02: A lot of the riots up in Minnesota occurred because the police were told to stand down.
- 12:35SPEAKER_02: They you know, now the police are supposed to be maintaining order, and the ICE officers have just as much right to be protected by the police as anybody else, but they weren't doing it.
- 12:46SPEAKER_02: They weren't they weren't helping them out, so they were out there on their own.
- 12:49SPEAKER_02: Now I've been out there I've been on my own in situations, and it it's not an easy place to be.
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: No, it's not a good thing.
- 12:56SPEAKER_02: And I I think that you know, one of the I the the first virtue is courage.
- 13:01SPEAKER_02: If you don't have courage, you have no other virtue at all.
- 13:04SPEAKER_02: Because you can't you can't carry out any virtue without without courage.
- 13:08SPEAKER_02: And I one of the one uh thing that everybody should respect about Donald Trump is that he has courage.
- 13:15SPEAKER_01: Man, I I don't think I can't.
- 13:17SPEAKER_02: Can you imagine I can't imagine what what he went what he had to go through.
- 13:22SPEAKER_02: I would never put up with that.
- 13:23SPEAKER_02: And I I consider myself somebody that does have courage.
- 13:26SPEAKER_02: I've I've demonstrated it in a few situations, and so I think, well, I'm a I'm a man of courage, but I don't think I could handle that.
- 13:34SPEAKER_02: That would not be something I could deal with.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: Well, let's talk about courage with our founding fathers.
- 13:40SPEAKER_01: You want to profile a couple of those founding fathers because as you put in the article and what I read during the opening of this, that these these people had wealth, they had property, they had businesses, they were well educated.
- 13:55SPEAKER_01: So they it my point is they had something to lose.
- 13:57SPEAKER_02: They had a lot to lose.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: They had everything to lose, including their lives and their families' lives.
- 14:02SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: And so let's talk about a couple of those examples that you used in here because I think we need to to get to know these founding fathers and see, talk about courage.
- 14:12SPEAKER_01: They really had the courage and they didn't know how many people were going to follow them, Tom, at that time.
- 14:18SPEAKER_02: Well, that was um there was like 10 to 25 percent of them that stayed in the battle for the for the duration of the war.
- 14:25SPEAKER_02: Probably forty-five percent of the of the Americans just stood and watched.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: There was uh as many loyalists as there were patriots in the battle.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: And so So they're fighting out they're fighting people right around them, too.
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: Right, yes.
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: They had they their neighbors.
- 14:41SPEAKER_02: It was like it was they were interspersed with other with others, and you had men like John Adams, who you know was a prosperous landowner and a farmer, and he and he also was a lawyer.
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: He very well respected.
- 14:54SPEAKER_02: You had men like George Washington, for heaven's sakes, what what a an honorable man he was.
- 15:00SPEAKER_02: And there's been a lot of terrible things said about him, how he, you know, he had slaves.
- 15:06SPEAKER_02: Well, you know, this this is a guy that fought in the wilderness campaign in the war, you know, in the war, but with with as a British soldier, and then he broke with the British and became the general.
- 15:18SPEAKER_02: What do you think would have happened to him and his huge estate that he had?
- 15:24SPEAKER_02: He was a very wealthy man at the time.
- 15:26SPEAKER_02: What do you think would have happened to him if the if the British would have gotten a hold of him?
- 15:30SPEAKER_02: They wouldn't have just they wouldn't have just killed him, they would have dragged him back to Britain and made an example of him.
- 15:36SPEAKER_02: He'd have been one of those guys that would have gotten the the uh Braveheart type treatment, I think.
- 15:42SPEAKER_01: If you're looking for the perfect men, right, that's what they'll say about Trump, too, that he's not a perfect man.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: Good luck trying to find a perfect man.
- 15:52SPEAKER_02: So this gets none of the none of the founding fathers were perfect men, none of them.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: No.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: And actually, I've never met a perfect man except for Christ, the God-made man, right?
- 16:03SPEAKER_01: Except for and you.
- 16:05SPEAKER_01: And other than that, you just don't.
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: This is why you need God and you re need a redeemer.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: The Claymore Battle Plan Handbook, uh, it starts out with three steps.
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: It starts out with restoring the dignity of the person, the individual person.
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: And there's a line in here that I use quite often from Alexander Schultzenitsyn, the great Russian writer who knew well of all these revolutions and all these things that we're talking about.
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: And he said that that now he was in a gulag for eight years for making fun of uh Stalin's mustache and and writing a couple things in a letter, right?
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: They got they actually got back.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: He was a captain in the military.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: But anyways, they threw him in the gulag for eight years.
- 16:42SPEAKER_01: Many, many people didn't survive the gulag, right?
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: For for for one or two years, let alone.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: I mean, you're freezing, you're not eating well, you're you're outside with without proper clothes, your your hands and your feet are frostbitten all the time.
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: But anyways, he said that at the end of the day, he's he's looking at the guards, and they actually took some prisoners and had them eat a little bit more, feed them a little bit more.
- 17:05SPEAKER_01: We saw this in the concentration camps, where they were told then to police the the uh the the prisoners incarcerated there.
- 17:13SPEAKER_01: And he said that the the uh these prisoners that gave some authority now to to police you became the biggest tyrants.
- 17:21SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 17:21SPEAKER_01: He said some of them you know would be kind and others would be the most brutal people.
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: And I know this in business, Tom.
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: I promote some waiter or waitress that I thought was so good and worked with them for a long time.
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: You know, I'd leave that restaurant and go to work at another one for a couple of weeks, I'd come back and it was a revolution going on there because this person became a tyrant.
- 17:41SPEAKER_01: Then I go, where did you become a tyrant at?
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: You were so nice when when we were pressing down on you a little bit yourself, you know?
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: And you have to take these people out of power.
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: But this is what he comes down to.
- 17:51SPEAKER_01: He said what he figured out at the end was the dividing line between good and evil lies within every single human heart.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: That's where we battle this.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: That's where you get your courage from, that's what you get your virtues and your values from.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: And then then, then you can go out and defend these inalienable rights, right?
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: And and you want to explain what an inalienable right is, Tom?
- 18:14SPEAKER_02: It means it can't be taken away.
- 18:16SPEAKER_02: Government cannot take it away, they're not allowed to take it away.
- 18:18SPEAKER_02: And our whole government was set up to protect those rights.
- 18:22SPEAKER_02: Our government isn't there to grant us rights, it's not there to control us, it's there to protect the rights that we have and to leave us alone.
- 18:31SPEAKER_02: That's what it's for.
- 18:32SPEAKER_02: And what the government has become more and more intrusive in everyday life and is taking over more and more of the of the responsibilities that historically have been those of the family.
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: And this is the this is the danger that we're facing now where people have become dependent on the government for everything.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: You talk about the$500 billion of fraud.
- 18:54SPEAKER_02: I think it's a lot bigger than that.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: Well, so do they.
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: But that's just a quick estimate.
- 18:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: But go ahead.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: I I'm sorry, but yeah, there's estimates higher than that.
- 19:03SPEAKER_01: They say they could get up to a trillion dollars.
- 19:05SPEAKER_02: I mean, look at all the people that are on on welfare that shouldn't be on welfare or getting Medicare or Medicaid or Social Security, Social Security disability.
- 19:15SPEAKER_02: There there's are there millions of people that are sucking up that money that aren't even shouldn't even be on it.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: So here, let's use an example of this then in California.
- 19:26SPEAKER_01: They passed a law that journalists, investigative journalists like you, starting with Nick Shirley, of course, who's exposing this, this young guy, 23, 24 years old, and they passed a Nick Shirley law now.
- 19:40SPEAKER_01: Do you know that law, Tom?
- 19:41SPEAKER_02: I do, yeah.
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: So explain that law.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: Will you?
- 19:45SPEAKER_02: Well, you can't ambush somebody.
- 19:47SPEAKER_02: You can't go and ambush and try to talk to somebody at a at a place.
- 19:50SPEAKER_02: So basically, the it what 60 minutes, 60 Minutes devised that scheme.
- 19:55SPEAKER_02: They're the ones that first started using it.
- 19:57SPEAKER_02: The ambush interview, the Morley Safer out there, or what's his name?
- 20:02SPEAKER_02: I can't think of the other old-time 60-minute guy that would go out there and they would just appear on the road.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: Mike Wallace.
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: Mike Wallace.
- 20:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 20:10SPEAKER_02: And he would just walk up to somebody with a cameraman and a microphone and say, hey, why did you vote against this bill?
- 20:17SPEAKER_02: Or where'd you get all that million dollars or where'd those gold bars come from?
- 20:21SPEAKER_02: You can't do that anymore in California.
- 20:23SPEAKER_02: So apparently 60 minutes is out of business.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: So this is how corrupt they are.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: And the other thing, let's talk about the uh the the is it the Safety Act or the Save America Act?
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: That that all it all it asks is that you're you have a proper ID to vote.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: And in Tom, I I cannot go anywhere without my ID.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: You know, in essence, you really can't.
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: You can't get into Congress.
- 20:47SPEAKER_02: We have Republicans who are against it.
- 20:49SPEAKER_02: I don't even understand that.
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: Well, I understand it because the dividing line between good and evil lies within every single human heart.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: And that's exactly what it is.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: These people have no principles, no values.
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: It's about power, and they know they're going to get exposed, Tom, and lose their power if people are allowed to vote that are citizens of the United States because they've been paying this money all of these years to people that that don't uh deserve it, that don't have it coming to them.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: The corruption is so high.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: They know if they stop that, Tom, they have no base because the average citizen that figures this out is not going to vote for them.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: It's so blatant in front of us, and it could happen again.
- 21:31SPEAKER_01: And and again, I just asked the especially the the the young people, you have to stand up for this because the the older generations, too many of them uh right above you, did not.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: You know, I my dad's an old World War II vet, he's still alive, so he fought.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: But after that, I don't know what happened to the boomers and the and the and Gen X and Millennials, Tom.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: Did they get soft?
- 21:53SPEAKER_01: Is is that what happened?
- 21:54SPEAKER_01: Or did they did they throw out this transcendent value that we always had?
- 21:59SPEAKER_01: What what What what do you think is behind these people that allow these corrupt politicians to represent them?
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: I think there's a a number of them that just want to vote on a legacy basis, that their parents and grandparents are always a Democrat, they're going to be a Democrat, and that's just the way it's just the way it is.
- 22:17SPEAKER_02: But I also think there's a you know a larger, increasing number of them that are voting based on what they think the particular party's gonna give to them, what they're gonna get out of it themselves, rather than what's best for the country, what's best for all of us.
- 22:34SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you remember when Egypt went through that revolution that whatever they could you know, some kind of revolution that they called I can't remember what it was.
- 22:42SPEAKER_02: It was kind of a Soros style revolution.
- 22:45SPEAKER_02: And they were creating a new constitution.
- 22:49SPEAKER_02: And they consulted with with Ruth Bader Ginsburg about what constitution to put in, and she advised them against using our constitution as a model because our constitution was too old-fashioned.
- 23:04SPEAKER_02: So she basically recommended a constitution that was a more modern one, one that did not include that rights come from God.
- 23:12SPEAKER_02: This so I think that there's people that think that that that don't believe in their heart that we have rights that God gave us.
- 23:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 23:21SPEAKER_02: And so I think that I think there's been a loss of of reverence for God, a loss of belief in God, a loss of fear of God.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: How much of this Trump derangement syndrome is coming because the people just reject any type of moral based or moral relativist, right?
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: I mean, whatever my opinion, your opinion.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: How many of them are just angry because you have too much praying going on in the Oval Office?
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: And and you know, again, we're not talking about, you know, perfect people here.
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm listening to these guys, even even Trump, you know, who I I would say at least years ago, I don't know what his belief system was, but I'm starting to to have this understanding that he has definitely turned uh his cabinet loose to say, hey, if you want to pray, you pray and you pray out loud.
- 24:14SPEAKER_01: Uh and and they are.
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: I just saw uh JD Vance on uh on on the show, and you know, he he wrote a book about his faith journey.
- 24:23SPEAKER_01: Uh I just heard Marco Rubio a week or two ago talking about his faith and and the importance of it, and then and then really uh saying how that belief system got him to the place where they really love this country and want to stand up for this country.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: And and look at this ex this corruption, Tom, would never be exposed if you didn't have people that had a moral and religious base, because these guys are not gonna make they're not gonna be able to go on the dole.
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: All these people that are standing up, they know that they're gonna just make their salary, which isn't always huge, right?
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: And they're not gonna be on the dole, they're not gonna make millions of dollars, they're not going to leave with a huge uh stock portfolio like some of these Democrats are, and yet they're standing up.
- 25:09SPEAKER_01: If these if these crazy people, I don't know if I deranged is probably the wrong word, but but I think it's pretty close.
- 25:16SPEAKER_01: When you reject God, your reason becomes very unreasonable.
- 25:19SPEAKER_01: We see this with with this law fear.
- 25:21SPEAKER_01: If these guys get back into power, all of those guys that were praying and all those guys that were standing up for what's true, good and beautiful, they're gonna get arrested.
- 25:32SPEAKER_01: And they know this, just like our founding fathers knew that they'd be in trouble, these guys will be just in just as much trouble, I think.
- 25:39SPEAKER_02: Well, John Adams, I that's one of the reasons I'm that I'm concerned about our country, because even John Adams said uh 250 years ago that this was that this form of government we have was intended for a moral and religious people, and it's suited to no other.
- 25:55SPEAKER_02: We've become not a moral and religious people.
- 25:58SPEAKER_02: We're no longer a moral and religious people.
- 26:00SPEAKER_02: We that is not for in the foreground for for the majority of people in this country.
- 26:05SPEAKER_02: There may be a majority that goes to church, but just because they go to church doesn't make them moral or religious.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: Well, I saw that I saw that during COVID, where, you know, and and or courageous because I saw it during COVID.
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: You know, these people were just too glad to have the masses and the churches locked down and and you know, they were so happy because their four masks and their their six foot uh distance and and and their 14th COVID uh booster uh you know wasn't enough for them.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: And you saw the fear.
- 26:39SPEAKER_01: I remember walking uh to a Costco one time, and I had, you know, you couldn't get in there with without having a mask on.
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: But as soon as I got on there, I ripped it off, right?
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: And I remember looking around, and it was very weird, you know, it was like the Twilight Zone.
- 26:53SPEAKER_01: I was I was the only one in in a Costco without a mask on, and a lady was coming at me, and I figured for sure this is some crazy liberal woman that's gonna read me out.
- 27:04SPEAKER_01: But she went by and she whispered in my ear, thank you.
- 27:07unknown: Thank you.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: And at the end of the day, you you could just see the fear in these people.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: But I'd I look around and say, What a joke this is because I saw the Costco employees turning around and lifting up their masks to talk to each other all the time.
- 27:21SPEAKER_01: I saw this one guy with just a face shield on, a plastic face shield.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: And he'd it every time he would go to do something, he would lift it up over his head, work for a little while, somebody would come down the aisle and he'd pull it, you know.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: It's just absolute nonsense.
- 27:34SPEAKER_02: But there was a my wife and I used to go for walks in the park.
- 27:40SPEAKER_02: And we'd run into other people around there.
- 27:42SPEAKER_02: We didn't wear a mask outside for sure.
- 27:44SPEAKER_02: And so we're walking through the park with no masks.
- 27:47SPEAKER_02: Some of the people were horrified to see us.
- 27:49SPEAKER_02: They're all wearing masks, and this is outdoors in the sun.
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: Like this is nuts.
- 27:55SPEAKER_01: The reason I look at it, we we saw all these people driving in their car with its masks, right?
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: But but the reason I bring it up is this because when you don't have a faith in God, your fear, you know, you saw the fear, Tom, I might die.
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: But what do they think about?
- 28:11SPEAKER_01: Do they not know that every single person that they know is going to die?
- 28:16SPEAKER_01: And you better figure out what your life is all about.
- 28:19SPEAKER_01: And if all it is is trying to grasp and trying to be safe and trying to stay in this little cubbyhole where you think everything's gonna be okay, you know, death will find you.
- 28:29SPEAKER_01: And this is just part of it.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: So if you want to live, you have to have courage and you have to stand for something.
- 28:35SPEAKER_01: Otherwise, what kind of life is this?
- 28:37SPEAKER_02: Well, you know, I I have to say that in the beginning I was a little concerned about what was going on because they said that people my age and you know, with my heart condition and you know, my my uh health situation were like guaranteed to die if they got it, you know.
- 28:52SPEAKER_02: So I thought, hey, this is kind of concerning.
- 28:55SPEAKER_01: And people with cold morbidities did die because, you know, like any type of uh but but no more than the flu or anything else.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: In fact, the flu went away.
- 29:03SPEAKER_01: Remember that?
- 29:04SPEAKER_01: Everything was COVID at that time, you know.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 29:08SPEAKER_02: Uh it it became pretty evident very quickly that uh a lot of the things that they were putting into place were just nonsense.
- 29:15SPEAKER_02: They were tolerant that it's okay to be to not wear a mask when you're out for a good cause.
- 29:21SPEAKER_02: You're you're you're good there, but man, you can't go out there with your family boating on Lake Michigan.
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: What you found is you found, and getting back to this, you know, the brave people, the Dr.
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: Peter McCullough's of the world and and other people standing up against this, they were censored, ostracized, fired from their jobs.
- 29:40SPEAKER_01: Uh Peter uh m McCullough is the most published cardiologist in in the country by far.
- 29:46SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 29:47SPEAKER_01: And he couldn't even speak about these things because he was pushing back.
- 29:50SPEAKER_01: And then you saw, ooh, something's wrong.
- 29:52SPEAKER_01: I saw it when when our church shepherds locked down all the masses and had no courage at all just to leave it open.
- 29:59SPEAKER_01: Not to tell everybody they had to go to church, but just to leave them open, no.
- 30:03SPEAKER_01: And ostracizing and taking out uh the good priests, right?
- 30:07SPEAKER_01: So you saw this World Economic Forum, you know, uh you will own nothing and be happy.
- 30:12SPEAKER_01: And uh so the reason I say all those things is because you're right.
- 30:17SPEAKER_01: Unless, you know, unless you get this transcendent power back into your life, you won't have the courage.
- 30:23SPEAKER_01: You won't even understand why you would need courage.
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: You won't stand up.
- 30:26SPEAKER_01: You're just going to, and and that's really the definition of socialism that we give the power to the state.
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: Well, who is the state?
- 30:33SPEAKER_01: Who is the state?
- 30:34SPEAKER_01: It's just a bunch of people like you who have been given power that now take that power and now they want to push you down.
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: They don't really push you down as much as suck everything out of you like a multi-headed Hydra.
- 30:47SPEAKER_02: Well, those those uh guys, the people that spoke out about the mistreatment of those during the COVID, during the COVID lockdowns and said that this is wrong, and and actually wrote about it and and were canceled, had lived with consequences.
- 31:03SPEAKER_02: Many people had stood up and were fired because they wouldn't get the vaccine.
- 31:07SPEAKER_02: These are the kind of people that that uh spoke out against the king 250 years uh 270 years ago and and 260 years ago, who who actually began the the initial stages of the revolution, and then they they more and more people added to their numbers, and it was never more than a minority.
- 31:28SPEAKER_02: So where are those courage courageous people?
- 31:31SPEAKER_02: There there weren't a lot of them like uh McCullough and some of these others that were that that spoke about it, that wrote about it, that were you know really canceled from all of the social media and were extremely criticized.
- 31:45SPEAKER_02: There were some of these doctors that were defunded by by Fauci and more than you even know.
- 31:51SPEAKER_01: You know, I follow quite a few of them, and it's more than you even know what happened to them.
- 31:56SPEAKER_01: I mean, they lost their livelihoods, many of them lost their homes and their properties, just like we're talking about with these founding fathers.
- 32:02SPEAKER_02: Uh millions of people lost their jobs, lost their businesses.
- 32:06SPEAKER_02: This is this is incredible, incredibly terrible event, and and yet we didn't have anywhere near the kind of uprising that you would have seen 250 years ago had that happened then.
- 32:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 32:19SPEAKER_02: I mean they they they cried they started a revolution because they for a penny tax on tea, you know.
- 32:25SPEAKER_02: This is the what happened during the COVID was was just enormously.
- 32:30SPEAKER_01: We know there are some courageous people, Tom, that are older, some boomers, uh some millennials, uh some gen uh gen X.
- 32:40SPEAKER_01: The MAGA movement is is fairly uh large and it is a Christian base.
- 32:46SPEAKER_01: The majority of them believe in something, right?
- 32:49SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 32:49SPEAKER_01: And they become patriots because of that.
- 32:51SPEAKER_01: And they understand the the the that we're one of a kind, this nation, and we're on the verge of of losing it.
- 32:58SPEAKER_01: What I'd like to do is is make sure that these Gen Z, these young people that we're talking to, that are that are looking around and understanding something's wrong, will join them.
- 33:09SPEAKER_01: And the difference is, Tom, that the the first option for these these Christians that I deal with that I know is is not to start shooting people and starting to burn down buildings.
- 33:20SPEAKER_01: When Charlie Kirk got assassinated, you didn't see burning buildings and buildings coming down, you know, but yet you saw somebody get arrested in an inner city or or shot by a police officer there for robbing something.
- 33:34SPEAKER_01: And the protests would go crazy.
- 33:36SPEAKER_01: That you know, Minneapolis, they burned down the city up there, and and uh but you don't see this with Christians.
- 33:41SPEAKER_01: My my point being those those uh countries that you profiled, those revolutions were were very destructive, taking a lot of lives.
- 33:51SPEAKER_01: And again, if we have to fight, you fight, you know.
- 33:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, even physically, but that's not the first option.
- 33:57SPEAKER_01: You know, it's the you know, the first option is just to take your rights back, stand up together.
- 34:02SPEAKER_01: Uh you see peaceful protests, and this is a big difference.
- 34:05SPEAKER_02: Well, yeah, and that's the that's the challenge that we all face is when are you gonna stand up?
- 34:11SPEAKER_02: Like I'm getting to the point where I'm not sure what I could do if there was a if there was a revolution.
- 34:16SPEAKER_02: I don't think I could be out there on the line on the battle lines, but I would do my best.
- 34:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 34:21SPEAKER_01: Well again, uh hopefully it's not physical, you know.
- 34:24SPEAKER_01: I mean, hopefully, you know, what we're doing now and getting our voices out, and again, you have to you you have to be I would say it has to be equal time in prayer.
- 34:33SPEAKER_01: You know, it you know, God's in control of this thing.
- 34:36SPEAKER_01: And if and if we indiscriminately start uh acting just like uh the the demonic out there, then you know we lose our moral ground.
- 34:45SPEAKER_01: We know this.
- 34:46SPEAKER_01: You saw the apostles and the disciples, the early Christians, they got massacred too.
- 34:52SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 34:53SPEAKER_02: Well, and you but they had to have the courage to be able to do that.
- 34:56SPEAKER_01: And and the courage, Tom, to me, I learned looking, I was uh I fought in tournaments and stuff, you know, at and in and I was a trained fighter and I taught martial arts and things for many, many years.
- 35:07SPEAKER_01: But uh at some point, you know, you you realize that the the point is not to go out there and try to hurt somebody.
- 35:15SPEAKER_01: Uh you want to defend yourself, you want to know what your country stands for, you want to know the laws, and you want to be able to have a faith in God because what I learned as as I got older that my courage really came from God and from these beliefs and from this understanding.
- 35:31SPEAKER_01: I mean, you're not gonna die for a lie.
- 35:33SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 35:33SPEAKER_02: Well, it's the truth that you have to uh be concerned with.
- 35:37SPEAKER_02: And this is this is why I think that uh we under we underestimate our own power, because our power comes from being being uh attached to the truth, to being able to speak the truth.
- 35:53SPEAKER_02: And the truth itself has a power that will that will move people.
- 35:57SPEAKER_02: Yes, it will.
- 35:58SPEAKER_01: Yes, it will.
- 35:59SPEAKER_01: Somebody asked me, well, what is the truth?
- 36:01SPEAKER_01: And that the truth is not a something, the truth is a somebody, and his name is Jesus Christ.
- 36:07SPEAKER_01: If you really got that into your head, and every time you're searching for the truth, you turn to him, you turn to scripture, and you turn in prayer, you will find the truth.
- 36:16SPEAKER_01: And the truth, as Jesus said, will set you free.
- 36:19SPEAKER_01: You know, and Tom, you think about every one of those revolutions, even if the guy stood up and and got his head cut off, like they did in France and and and and China and Russia and Iran um and Cuba.
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: All of those people are gone now.
- 36:35SPEAKER_01: All of them.
- 36:36SPEAKER_01: So I got my head cut off.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: This is a scary thing, and I don't recommend it to anybody.
- 36:40SPEAKER_01: Hanging is not fun.
- 36:42SPEAKER_01: Torture is, you know, I we all hope, Tom, that we we were were men enough to get our fingernails ripped out and our eyes poked out, but I don't know if I could or not.
- 36:51SPEAKER_01: I mean, this is going to come from faith.
- 36:52SPEAKER_01: But I don't want to be eaten.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, or skinned alive like so many of these saints were.
- 36:58SPEAKER_01: Eaten by, yeah, by lions.
- 37:00SPEAKER_01: They had to believe strongly in the power of God and the power of Jesus Christ.
- 37:05SPEAKER_01: Otherwise, you wouldn't have been able to do it.
- 37:07SPEAKER_01: You know, St.
- 37:08SPEAKER_01: Peter was hung upside down because he said he wasn't worthy to be hung on a cross like Christ.
- 37:13SPEAKER_01: I mean, can you imagine dying upside down on a cross?
- 37:16SPEAKER_01: I mean, i i just thinking whether I would have the courage to do that, but at the end of the day, everybody's gone, no matter what.
- 37:23SPEAKER_01: Whether you stood for the truth or not, they're all gone.
- 37:27SPEAKER_01: So where are they?
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: You know, and and so if you don't uh look at your final destination and if you don't try to live by what's true, good, and beautiful, then what's it all about, Tom?
- 37:37SPEAKER_01: If you don't uh move evil out of your heart, if you don't uh participate in families, in marriages, and loving your your neighbor, and then that ripples out to restore this culture and this country that should be a reflection of all of those values.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: But all it takes is evil people to come into power and they'll take that away from you.
- 37:58SPEAKER_01: So this is what we're standing up for right now.
- 38:00SPEAKER_02: Well, it's worth standing up for because I believe in God and I know that I know what's in the Bible.
- 38:05SPEAKER_02: Whenever I do investigations and I'm looking, especially in the in the things that are culturally culturally related, I know what the truth is, so I know I'm gonna find what I'm what I'm looking for.
- 38:20SPEAKER_01: And there's patterns into this, isn't there?
- 38:22SPEAKER_01: Yes, there are.
- 38:23SPEAKER_01: There's many patterns that you can identify and I would say think about all of the young people and old people that we know that are enslaved to addictions, you know, enslaved to alcohol or pornography or stealing or gambling or sloth and taking from anybody that they can.
- 38:41SPEAKER_02: Or the one that's of the age right now.
- 38:44SPEAKER_02: Sex is the addiction.
- 38:46SPEAKER_01: And there's no surprise in that.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: St.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: Thomas Aquinas said after your will to live, your will to use your sexual powers is the second greatest thing.
- 38:55SPEAKER_01: And that's why chastity and and directing those powers to authentic love and not using someone as an object is so important.
- 39:03SPEAKER_01: And and but when you lose that, when you lose those things, when you're enslaved to sin, you'll never stand up for the country.
- 39:10SPEAKER_01: And I think that's the final point, Tom, that if you don't get your heart back, if you don't understand the love of God and love of neighbor, to stand in the truth, to try to do the good, your conscience will tell you that, and to see the world created beautifully and how it's profaned, you know, in all the ways we live and steal and take from one another.
- 39:28SPEAKER_01: If you don't care about those things, I don't know how someone can be happy.
- 39:33SPEAKER_01: You know, do you just live every day like an addict enslaved?
- 39:37SPEAKER_01: We have to pray for those people that because they're just there's no way, Tom, that they're gonna wake up.
- 39:41SPEAKER_01: And maybe this is our answer to why more people don't stand up against what they're seeing right now with the Biden administration, what they did, what uh these these people in California, these politicians and in Minnesota and New York, and and uh it I don't think they see it, Tom, because they're enslaved to their to their own passions and and desires, and they're twisted and distorted.
- 40:03SPEAKER_01: So they don't have the energy to stand up.
- 40:05SPEAKER_01: They're trying to use all their energy to suck whatever they can out of this temporal life.
- 40:10SPEAKER_01: And Christ warned us about that, right?
- 40:12SPEAKER_01: Don't don't don't settle for this.
- 40:15SPEAKER_01: You know, it this is not our our our eternal destination, is it?
- 40:18SPEAKER_02: Well, I I don't remember the exact quote, but I put in the article that John Adams said that if I get in heaven and I see that you don't live up to the sacrifices we made, I'm gonna regret everything that I did for you.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yes, yes.
- 40:33SPEAKER_02: I think yeah, I don't want John Adams regretting uh what he did for me because he did a lot.
- 40:38SPEAKER_02: He was uh he had a uh a tremendously fruitful life and s very sacrificial as well.
- 40:46SPEAKER_02: I think we all need to remind ourselves that we have to be worthy of that sacrifice that other people have made before us.
- 40:54SPEAKER_02: And there's too many that just think, well, they don't have to do anything because it's already given to them.
- 40:59SPEAKER_01: Men got to become men again.
- 41:01SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: All right, Thomas.
- 41:03SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much.
- 41:03SPEAKER_01: Thanks everyone for being with us.
