- 0:00What's this about aliens visiting Earth?
- 0:03Wait to hear about this one? Plus we're going to talk about
- 0:06Pride this time up on the Rancher Radio podcast.
- 0:28What's a beautiful Saturday morning in June?
- 0:32And I hope that wherever you are listening to this podcast, you
- 0:35are doing good doing well and that the spirit is blessed, you
- 0:41and I thank you so much. For joining me on the ranch
- 0:43Radio podcast as you may or may not know this is a podcast
- 0:47dedicated to the teachings of the ranch of papers.
- 0:49And every week we try to do at least one good episode taking
- 0:53into account. Some element of the book that I
- 0:56just love to share. I've been reading the book now
- 0:59for over 40 years since back in 1982 and boy I still remember
- 1:04that first time where it took me a couple of days after I picked
- 1:08it up and I started reading it and I had some time on my And it
- 1:13just, it hit me like a ton of bricks.
- 1:16I mean, there was something that happened when I started reading
- 1:19this book, that never happened to me before, and I had read a
- 1:22lot of books. I was a curious young fellow and
- 1:27the the feeling remember that feeling you had when you first
- 1:29realize that you may just have a revelation in your hands and how
- 1:33much you wanted to share it with other people.
- 1:36Sometimes over the years Utah, you tend to forget that and I
- 1:39don't want to forget that. I try to explain to people if
- 1:42you want to know about the ranch a book, I want you to just
- 1:45visualize a flat line that moves from left to right.
- 1:50If you can imagine a line that you draw the goes from left to
- 1:54right and where you start, and where your finger ends, the left
- 1:59is God and everything. After that, as far as that line
- 2:03can go It, Go for Infinity. And that's the Rancho book.
- 2:07It starts in the beginning and works its way outward and upward
- 2:13and that's how I explain it. If you want to go back in time
- 2:16and try to understand what God was thinking, when he put all of
- 2:19this in a motion, it's an intelligent approach to
- 2:24understanding an enlarged universe.
- 2:26And that's what I try to tell people and not try to get bogged
- 2:29down with details about, you know, it's got this many
- 2:32chapters and there's this many segments and this part is About
- 2:36this, as I find that, the more detail you give the less people
- 2:40are prone to be curious. You just want to give them
- 2:45enough say, you know, if you really want to get a better
- 2:47perspective of what the universe is all about, I urge you to pick
- 2:51up the book. Find a find a chapter in there
- 2:56that you are interested in and go for it, you know, that's what
- 3:00I did. I started with Adam and Eve and,
- 3:02and start bouncing around, and kind of look red different
- 3:05things. And then when it really dawned
- 3:07on me, was the first five papers and it was that point I really
- 3:12grasp the conceptual importance of what was being presented.
- 3:16So anyway, we're gonna have a good program.
- 3:19Today we're going to talk about Pride.
- 3:22I have a take Con Pride because it's pride month and it's a
- 3:25cultural phenomenon. And I wanted to share some
- 3:31thoughts about it. Some serious thoughts about it
- 3:34because you know you know and I know we're all going through an
- 3:37ideological struggle. And you know, we have to be
- 3:43careful about the steps that we take.
- 3:44I think the Rancho book warns us, you know, we're going to try
- 3:47new things. But, you know, we have to be
- 3:50careful not to go too fast because if we do it becomes
- 3:55destabilizing and I think a lot of what we're seeing now in the
- 3:58world today is destabilization. You know, this is an
- 4:03experimental Planet, a decimal world.
- 4:06And so things are not in the usual order and we know that
- 4:12anyway. So we'll get to some of that.
- 4:14I looked up the word pride, in the Rancho book, it appears 58
- 4:17times. and I want to go through some of the references that it
- 4:22makes to it and see if you can agree with me, that we need to
- 4:25be very careful about those ideologies that we take at face
- 4:30value and not think about the implications But before we get
- 4:35to that, I do want to talk about this article, I read it was in
- 4:38one of my regular Reeds and it's written by a guy who calls
- 4:44himself Sovereign man, and he's pretty good writer.
- 4:47He writes a lot about current cultural streams and how they,
- 4:53you know, how they mesh with, you know, Western Society.
- 4:57So he's always got some insight that I enjoyed and it's all
- 5:03about how problematic it would be if we ever had contact with
- 5:07intelligent life. So he says, okay, well, let's
- 5:10take a look at the future. Let's say it's June 2nd 20:28,
- 5:16and then he and then it's a brief story, but it's an
- 5:18interesting story. He says worldwide hopes for
- 5:20friendly relations with our extraterrestrial.
- 5:23Visitors vanish this morning when the aliens climb back
- 5:27aboard, their spaceship and flew away.
- 5:30After nearly three weeks of failed talks with senior US
- 5:33government officials. Now, remember this is satire The
- 5:38aliens had known of Earth's existence for centuries, but
- 5:41they deliberately avoided our planet in their Interstellar
- 5:44travels because they viewed human civilization as to
- 5:48underdeveloped. Like make that bigger however,
- 5:52after monitoring NASA's first ever public hearing on UFOs,
- 5:56which took place five years ago today, Mark, May 31st 2023,
- 6:01which by the way did happen, the aliens decided to initiate first
- 6:05Contact Their journey to Earth took several hours and when they
- 6:10arrived last month, a collective sigh of relief.
- 6:13Could be felt around the world when the aliens came bearing
- 6:16gifts. Their initial contact with our
- 6:20planet seemed expertly planned to calm our nerves as they
- 6:25distributed miracle, cures for viruses, parasites, and even
- 6:30cancer. And as they spent the entire
- 6:33Journey learning our language, they were easily able to
- 6:37communicate the first world leader of the aliens met with
- 6:42was US president Kamala Harris. And they showed her a small
- 6:47metallic box, which they had said will provide Limitless free
- 6:52energy to the world. However, relations with the
- 6:56alien visitors quickly, took a turn for the worst when the
- 7:00president began talking about science.
- 7:03According to several observers at the meeting, President Harris
- 7:06explained to the aliens that basic principles of biology,
- 7:10like, sex and gender are myths and that are rooted in violent.
- 7:15Heterodoxy, at which point the space diplomats appeared to
- 7:20burst out laughing. Of course, president Harris and
- 7:23her scientific advisors found the reactions, deeply offensive,
- 7:27and they try to explain that the aliens were displaying
- 7:30problematic colonizer attitudes. Federal officials have spent the
- 7:35last several years, trying to re-educate.
- 7:37The aliens about science leading to strayed relations between our
- 7:42species. The aliens countered by
- 7:45producing thousands of holograms worth of data disproving the
- 7:49Americans claims data, which the White House called ignorant and
- 7:53defensive. Finally the aliens in apparent
- 7:57exasperation grab their energy Cube and stormed out their ship
- 8:03was observed leaving with Earth's atmosphere this morning
- 8:06and there has been no contact since despite the loss of
- 8:10revolutionary alien technology top officials say they don't
- 8:14regret the outcome as president Harris told reporters this
- 8:18morning, frankly, there's no room on Earth or anti-science
- 8:22hate speech, whatever the species.
- 8:26In other news pharmaceutical and energy stocks which initially
- 8:29plunge to near zero value. Amid alien, contact have
- 8:33rebounded in to record highs, I kind of have to laugh.
- 8:40That's a good. Good story, he who has an ear.
- 8:44Let him hear boy, that's but doesn't that tell you something?
- 8:48When I first read that article, I said you know that there's a
- 8:51metaphor there and the metaphor for me being a student of the
- 8:55Rancher Revelation as did. It kind of helped me understand
- 8:59why people are indifferent to the teachings of the Urantia
- 9:02book. In this age, they're not
- 9:04politically correct. Now, they may have been at the
- 9:07time that the book was written. But you can you can see how much
- 9:10culture has changed in the last 100 years.
- 9:15And at this point, many people today, unlike in my generation
- 9:20before who had some majority of us were somehow influenced by
- 9:25basic Christian or judeo. Christian theology right now.
- 9:29That is not a true statement. so consequently as a result of
- 9:34that, many people don't have the foundation or the construct in
- 9:38which the Urantia book would fit because if you study the ranch
- 9:42attacks, it definitely presents itself along judeo, Christian
- 9:47ideological lines but not because it's a judeo Christian
- 9:50book but rather because judeo Christian theology has a
- 9:55timeline that dates back to the beginnings of the Revelation the
- 10:01actual first Revelation when caligastia came and in
- 10:05subsequent Adam and Eve and Jesus and Melchizedek, those are
- 10:08all Revelations that are tied to the same story storyline for the
- 10:12same story book. So it's a matter of truth that
- 10:17the Canaanites who studied under Melchizedek, for example, would
- 10:20carry the teachings of Melchizedek 800 years later to
- 10:25where Moses would inherit those. And then go on to be credited
- 10:30with the first five books of the Torah which was influential to
- 10:34no end. So you can see that the what I'm
- 10:37trying to say is it without that pre knowledge without that
- 10:41foundational without the soil. You're not going to produce very
- 10:44good. Figs.
- 10:46And, and right now, we're also wrapped up in political
- 10:50correctness and pronouns, and everything else that we're not
- 10:53paying attention to the real story, which is that humanity is
- 10:56in very deep doo-doo. If we don't come up with some
- 11:00ideological equilibrium And so on that note, I want to
- 11:06transition and I've given a lot of thought to this and it is not
- 11:10my intent for me to caused any offense to anyone who might be
- 11:15part or a member of the lgbtq community because I have too
- 11:18much respect for people's individual freedoms and rights
- 11:22to even there. Go there.
- 11:23In fact, many people, I love family, members included are a
- 11:26member of the LGBT community, so I'm not talking to them.
- 11:30I'm talking to people who have taken the pride.
- 11:33The pride flag The Pride symbol, and I want to expand upon it
- 11:38because pride, in and of itself, most people understand is not a
- 11:41good thing for a lot of reasons. And I thought we could gain some
- 11:45knowledge of it by finding how it's referred to in the Rancho
- 11:49book and see what we can. And some of this, by the way,
- 11:52I've discussed in previous podcast so it's nothing new
- 11:54here. But I did find it interesting
- 11:57that the ranch a book mentions Pride 58 times and I want to go
- 12:01through some of them. Not all of them, but enough.
- 12:03If of them so we get a sense of the dangers and the subtleties
- 12:06of Pride and because it is pride month with better time to do it,
- 12:10right. So let's go back to the
- 12:11beginning. The first time, the word pride
- 12:13is mentioned in the ranch, a book is a paper, 53 section 2,
- 12:18in reference to Lucifer's pride in self deception and believing
- 12:23his rebellion was actually good for the universe.
- 12:27The second reference comes in paper 66 again, but this time in
- 12:31reference to caligastia rebelling alongside Lucifer.
- 12:36The author comments on the planetary, Prince, siding with
- 12:39Lucifer, quote, I did not. Then so fully understand the
- 12:43subtleties of Personality Pride Then again, in paper 68, in
- 12:49reference to the fact that both Lucifer and caligastia have been
- 12:52warned by their superiors quote, respecting their critical
- 12:55Tendencies and subtle developments of their pride of
- 12:59self, and its Associated exaggeration of the feelings of
- 13:04self-importance. See, so, now in this third
- 13:06reference to it, it's talking about how Pride leads to this
- 13:10exaggerated feeling of self-importance.
- 13:14Paper 68 section 2 paragraph 11. It says, as a factor of social
- 13:19progression, quote, vanity contributed mightily to the
- 13:23birth of society. But at the time of these
- 13:25Revelations, the devious strivings of a bain, glorious
- 13:31generation threatened to swamp and submerge.
- 13:34The whole complicated structure of a highly specialized
- 13:38civilization. So the time of the revelations
- 13:42are they referencing this new community of people who have
- 13:47great pride, what would they be referring to?
- 13:49But at the times of these Revelations, the devious
- 13:53strivings of a vein, glorious generation threatened to swamp
- 13:58and submerge the whole complicated structure of a
- 14:02highly specialized Civilization. Now I could also take that to
- 14:06mean that It was just at the end of The Roaring 20s and the
- 14:10Roaring 20s was a very materialistic age, lots of
- 14:15drunkenness and there was well it was the age of Gatsby.
- 14:20It goes on to say pleasure want has long been as long since
- 14:23superseded hunger want the legitimate social aims of
- 14:27self-maintenance are rapidly translating themselves into base
- 14:32and threatening forms of self-gratification
- 14:35self-maintenance. Build Society.
- 14:37Unbridled self-gratification unfailingly destroys
- 14:42civilization. All right, so we move along on
- 14:46the subject of Pride. What else can we learn from the
- 14:49ranch papers? Well, I'm a contact of the human
- 14:52Paradox where it talks about our human cells that are spiritual
- 14:55cells and sort of that battle that takes place in our material
- 14:58life. It reads of all the dangers was
- 15:02which beset Mortals man's nature and jeopardizes.
- 15:06His spiritual Integrity pride is the greatest courage is velours
- 15:11and but egotism is vainglorious and suicidal.
- 15:16Reasonable self-confidence is not to be deplored.
- 15:19Man's ability to transcend. Transcend himself is the one
- 15:23thing which distinguishes him from the Animal Kingdom, but
- 15:28then in the next paragraph pride is deceitful, intoxicating and
- 15:32sin breeding whether found in an individual, a group or race or a
- 15:38nation. It is literally true Pride goes
- 15:42before a fall. So they're, they're even
- 15:44borrowing from a new testament quote, or an Old Testament
- 15:48quote. this is in reference to Judaism as preserved by the key
- 15:52nights, which we mentioned before, it was a small group of
- 15:55students of Melchizedek during Abraham's time, the key nights,
- 15:59there are mentioned in the Bible and they were the ones that pass
- 16:03that those, those principles those teachings on to Moses
- 16:07parents, who themselves were of keen-eyed ancestry and so From
- 16:12paper 131, it reads. God has made, man, a little less
- 16:17than Divine and has crowned him with love and mercy.
- 16:21The love knows, the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but
- 16:24the way of the ungodly Shall Perish.
- 16:27The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
- 16:29The knowledge of the Supreme is understanding, says, the
- 16:32almighty God walk, before me and be perfect for getting off the
- 16:36pride. Goes before, destruction and a
- 16:40haughty spirit before a fall he who rules his own.
- 16:44Good spirit is mightier than he who takes a city. the same
- 16:48paper, but this time on Shin to now we're talking about the
- 16:52conception of Judaism and that was a reference to Judaism a
- 16:57teaching in Judaism And from the same paper on the world's
- 17:01religions and the use of Pride. Now we learned from Shin to was
- 17:05his shin to have to say about Pride Shin-Soo is an East Asian
- 17:09religion. From paper 131 every time, man
- 17:13yields to anxiety. He takes one step away from the
- 17:16leading of the spirit of his heart Pride.
- 17:19Obscures God, if you would obtain Heavenly helped put away
- 17:24your pride, every hair of Pride shuts off, saving light as it
- 17:28were by a great Cloud. If you are not right on the
- 17:32inside, it is useless to pray for that, which is on the
- 17:35outside. If I hear your prayers, it is
- 17:39because you come before me with a clean.
- 17:41Heart, free from falsehood and hypocrisy with the soul, which
- 17:46reflects truth, like a mirror. If you would gain, immortality
- 17:51forsake, the world and come to me, For paper 141, in reference
- 17:57to Jesus. As he's beginning his new period
- 18:01of public teaching. He says, Jesus portrayed
- 18:04conquest by sacrifice the sacrifice of Pride and
- 18:08selfishness by showing Mercy. He meant to portray spiritual
- 18:12deliverance from all grudges grievances angers and the lust
- 18:17for selfish power and revenge. This was during the initial days
- 18:24of when Jesus is public teachings began and of the 70 or
- 18:28those among his early followers who went about teaching Jesus,
- 18:32truth to the masses and upon their Victorious returns, he
- 18:36speaks to them. So this is from paper, 163
- 18:40paragraph. 6 section 6, the next day being the Sabbath.
- 18:43Jesus went apart with the 70 and said to them.
- 18:47I did indeed Rejoice with you when you came back During the
- 18:51Good Tidings of the reception of the Gospel of the Kingdom.
- 18:54By so many people scattered throughout Galilee Samaria and
- 18:59Judea. Why were you so surprisingly
- 19:02elated? Did you not expect that?
- 19:04Your message would manifest power in its delivery.
- 19:08Did you go forth with so little faith in this gospel that you
- 19:11come back and surprised at its Effectiveness?
- 19:14And now while I would not quench your spirit of rejoicing I would
- 19:19sternly warned you against The subtleties of Pride, spiritual
- 19:23Pride, if you could understand the downfall of Lucifer, the
- 19:27iniquitous one, you would solemnly shun all forms of
- 19:31spiritual Pride. From The Last Supper, when Jesus
- 19:35and forms the apostles, one among them is considering
- 19:38betraying the master that very night from paper 179, paragraph,
- 19:434 section 2. He says, while it is necessary
- 19:47that I go to the father, it was not required.
- 19:50That one of you should become a traitor to fulfill.
- 19:53The father's will. This is the coming to Fruit of
- 19:57the concealed evil in that heart of one who failed to love the
- 20:01truth with his whole heart. And so how deceitful is the
- 20:06intellectual Pride that precedes the spiritual downfall?
- 20:10My friend of many years who even now eats my bread will be
- 20:15willing to betray me. Even as he now dips his hand
- 20:18with me in the dish. And of course, referring to
- 20:23Judas. And this is why I have often
- 20:26times said the pride flag. While I certainly understand the
- 20:29social statement and makes about inclusion.
- 20:32I think it's also a subtle disguise for his flagrancy
- 20:35against those standards that make for a real stable Society.
- 20:41And recently by the way, in reference to this, I read an
- 20:43article that states the separation of church and state
- 20:46has created a vacuum. That must be filled by something
- 20:49man, is naturally a religious person and this is maybe our
- 20:54biggest Folly humans are not capable of not having religious
- 20:58impulses, but through secularization and resistance to
- 21:02religion itself humans. Now take up new causes whether
- 21:07they be for social injustice or supposed human rights to
- 21:11privilege. It was only natural for a
- 21:13humanistic religion of the exalted self that would come
- 21:16along and seek to replace God. And I think that's where we are
- 21:21today. And I think it's worth
- 21:23mentioning and having a discussion about it, so I hope
- 21:26that you gain something from that and certainly with the
- 21:29Rancho book had to say, was quite revealing about the
- 21:31different kinds of Pride and so we leave it there but I do want
- 21:35to make one final comment, disregarding the your Rancher
