- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Now you'll find out what it all means.
- 0:05Speaker 3: He smarts alone on seven tenor.
- 0:10Speaker 2: He forgot. We started nine and I've been away for
- 0:13Speaker 2: a few days. I forgot. There's this extra hour now
- 0:16Speaker 2: nine to noon every day here certainly excited about. Hey,
- 0:20Speaker 2: we got a lot to get to today. We'll get
- 0:22Speaker 2: to Iran. I think we're going to be getting to
- 0:25Speaker 2: that every day for the next couple of years. We'll
- 0:27Speaker 2: get to Iran, we'll get to Israel. We'll get to Mom, Donnie,
- 0:29Speaker 2: We'll get we'll get to MSG we'll get to Tommy John,
- 0:35Speaker 2: all sorts of things to talk about today. So, Hey,
- 0:37Speaker 2: by the way, the mayor's going on vacation this week,
- 0:41Speaker 2: so I know a lot of you will miss him.
- 0:43Speaker 2: He'll be gone for a week. He's on a vacation
- 0:45Speaker 2: with his family. They're going to upstate New York. They
- 0:49Speaker 2: will not say where. Now to a guy like that,
- 0:52Speaker 2: upstate New York could mean Yonkers. I don't know what
- 0:55Speaker 2: he means by upstate New York. Now, why won't he
- 0:57Speaker 2: say where he's going? Well, there's a number of possibilities.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Usually when a Democrat like that, I won't say where
- 1:04Speaker 2: he's going on his vacation. It means he's actually going
- 1:08Speaker 2: to be staying in the estate of some zillionaire oligarch
- 1:12Speaker 2: and doesn't think it's the right look for him. Or
- 1:17Speaker 2: he's going to meet with who knows who, maybe a
- 1:20Speaker 2: bunch of whole communists or socialists or somebody upstate, or
- 1:27Speaker 2: you don't know. I can't think of an Why wouldn't
- 1:29Speaker 2: you tell people where you're going. It's somewhere upstate. The
- 1:33Speaker 2: mayor taking a week off from what we don't know.
- 1:36Speaker 2: He doesn't do much all week. He really doesn't do
- 1:39Speaker 2: much of anything. Occasionally, makes a video, makes a speech.
- 1:43Speaker 2: A lot of weed, A lot of weed I hear lately.
- 1:48Speaker 2: That's basically it. He's sort of on the Deblasio schedule,
- 1:51Speaker 2: without the gym, without the coffee shop. But it's like
- 1:55Speaker 2: the Deblasio kind of schedule. Hey, the President was in
- 1:58Speaker 2: Long Island on Friday, made a great speech, well over
- 2:01Speaker 2: an hour, addressed a thousand people there at the Nassau
- 2:07Speaker 2: Police Academy. A great speech. Talked about a lot of stuff,
- 2:11Speaker 2: we talked about Iran talking about the main focus of
- 2:15Speaker 2: the speech was crime. FBI crime statistics show crime has
- 2:18Speaker 2: come down dramatically across the country. One reason is they've
- 2:22Speaker 2: gotten a lot of criminals out. They've thrown a lot
- 2:25Speaker 2: of criminals out of the country. These illegals that they're
- 2:27Speaker 2: going after the first round are criminals, you know, robbers, rapists,
- 2:32Speaker 2: people who have been committing crimes. And they've gotten thousands
- 2:36Speaker 2: and thousands, tens of thousands of them out of the country.
- 2:39Speaker 2: That's criminals gone. So when you get rid of criminals,
- 2:42Speaker 2: when you get them off the street, you get less crime.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Here in New York police will tell you off the record,
- 2:49Speaker 2: it's the same twenty five hundred criminals over and over
- 2:52Speaker 2: and over again. They know who they are. Yeah, they
- 2:55Speaker 2: could go out and arrest them tonight, but district attorney won't.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Judges will let him out. Look at this guy here,
- 3:02Speaker 2: one hundred and fifty arrests. Look at this guy, one
- 3:06Speaker 2: hundred and fifty arrests. Career criminal Sha Kwan Seth, after
- 3:12Speaker 2: one hundred and fifty arrests, was again arrested last week
- 3:16Speaker 2: and cut loose by the DA by the judge. He's
- 3:20Speaker 2: had in the last couple of weeks five arrests for shoplifting,
- 3:24Speaker 2: five separate shoplifting incidents, and then you get these Democrats
- 3:29Speaker 2: who said, well, he stole because of poverty, and I
- 3:32Speaker 2: don't think so. He stole six hundred dollars worth of
- 3:35Speaker 2: fancy candles at the last place, obviously to resell them,
- 3:40Speaker 2: and after one hundred and fifty arrests, right back on
- 3:43Speaker 2: the street. Now through his career as a criminal, he's
- 3:46Speaker 2: been in jail for larceny, robbery, resisting arrest, assaulting a cop.
- 3:51Speaker 2: I mean, it's clear this is an out and out criminal,
- 3:54Speaker 2: and in the last couple of weeks just committed five
- 3:56Speaker 2: more robberies, shoplifting. They let him out again, and that's
- 4:01Speaker 2: because of Andrew Cuomo and the Progressives. And it was
- 4:06Speaker 2: Cuomo that gave us the no bail, no jail, and
- 4:09Speaker 2: this guy's just walking around no bail, no jail. Thank you,
- 4:12Speaker 2: Andrew Cuomo, Thank you Alvin Bragg. He doesn't believe in
- 4:16Speaker 2: putting anybody in jail. Although this is in Queen's They
- 4:19Speaker 2: got a good DA there, but you got that no bail,
- 4:22Speaker 2: no jail, Absolutely ridiculous. But the President talked about crime. Hey,
- 4:27Speaker 2: he really went after Letitia James in that speech, the
- 4:30Speaker 2: most corrupt prosecutor in America. And you could make the
- 4:34Speaker 2: case for that. But it was a great speech at
- 4:36Speaker 2: Long Island on Friday.
- 4:38Speaker 4: After we finish defeating Iran, which is being very badly defeated.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Pretty soon I'll be declaring the Hormoe Straight a territory
- 4:51Speaker 4: of the United States.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Shape say that.
- 4:54Speaker 4: One we have the blockade, no ships get through unless.
- 4:58Speaker 2: We want them to. Yeah, as he said, we're wiping
- 5:02Speaker 2: out Iran. They don't seem to know it. But as
- 5:06Speaker 2: long as we know it, that's They don't seem to
- 5:09Speaker 2: have figured that out yet. But it's a strange Iran policy.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Straight of hor Moose believe or not, it's actually open,
- 5:19Speaker 2: not fully open, but partially open. Ships have been coming
- 5:22Speaker 2: through there every day. Tankers have been moving through there.
- 5:25Speaker 2: They're getting about nine million barrels through in the past week,
- 5:29Speaker 2: So it is open. I mean it's mostly the sub
- 5:32Speaker 2: what they call the Southern Route against along Oman, but
- 5:36Speaker 2: not full activity. Problem is, we could we could have
- 5:39Speaker 2: all our ships there, We could protect the Straight ofh
- 5:42Speaker 2: hor Moose and the oil tankers could move, but the
- 5:45Speaker 2: insurance companies won't allow it. It's Lloyd's of London mostly now.
- 5:49Speaker 2: They ensure the tankers. A tanker cost well over a
- 5:52Speaker 2: million bucks. The oil on it can be two million,
- 5:55Speaker 2: so they just will not They will not ensure the ships,
- 5:59Speaker 2: and the ships will move without the insurance. But great speech.
- 6:03Speaker 2: He really really praised Bruce blake When he loves Bruce Blakeman,
- 6:07Speaker 2: big fan. They're friends for a million years. And it
- 6:11Speaker 2: didn't formally endorse him. But I think that's because they
- 6:14Speaker 2: work that out that you know. It's like Al Tomato
- 6:16Speaker 2: used to call a politician he liked, and he said,
- 6:19Speaker 2: I want to help you with your reelection. I'll endorse
- 6:22Speaker 2: you if you want, but you do the polling and
- 6:25Speaker 2: see if that'll help you or hurt you. If it'll
- 6:27Speaker 2: hurt you, I'll come out against you to help you.
- 6:29Speaker 2: So it's kind of that. Don't want to be openly
- 6:33Speaker 2: endorsing Blakeman because it might turn off some crazy trumped
- 6:36Speaker 2: arrangement syndrome people, but it was pretty clear he's a
- 6:40Speaker 2: huge Blakeman fan and supporter. Jared Kushner goes to he's
- 6:45Speaker 2: in Israel today, he meets with net and Yahu. This
- 6:49Speaker 2: we'll be meeting number seven thousand people getting a little
- 6:53Speaker 2: tired of all this stuff. Listen, you got to support
- 6:57Speaker 2: Israel fully one thousand percent support is that's very important.
- 7:01Speaker 2: But here's the CNN polster and I.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Said, you might have expected younger Democrats to be leading
- 7:07Speaker 3: the charge and not being confident BB Neahi yaho.
- 7:09Speaker 2: But in fact it was older Democrats.
- 7:11Speaker 3: But look at the reverse here, look among Republicans, because
- 7:14Speaker 3: here there is a massive age. And look at this
- 7:17Speaker 3: Republicans who are not confident BB now he on Yahoo.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Look at this.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Younger Republicans nearly three and five were talking fifty eight
- 7:23Speaker 3: percent compared to thirty percent of Republicans who are fifty
- 7:27Speaker 3: and older.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Fast talking Polster. But CNN Pulster, you're gonna hear a
- 7:32Speaker 2: lot of that that Americans don't support Israel or anymore
- 7:35Speaker 2: Americans of turning its It's not true. Of course we
- 7:37Speaker 2: support is here. But it's mostly a net Nyahu thing.
- 7:40Speaker 2: They you know, net Na, who's been there twenty years.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Anytime you're there too long, people turn on you. And
- 7:47Speaker 2: you can ask ed Koatch, you can ask George Pataki.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Once you're in your third term, you can ask Bloomberg.
- 7:52Speaker 2: They all turn on you in the third term. You
- 7:55Speaker 2: just can't stay too long. So that's really the problem.
- 7:58Speaker 2: It's mostly an anti net and yah, it's netting.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Yahoo himself was a major problem when it comes to
- 8:03Speaker 3: public opinion in the United States. Look at this, Americans
- 8:06Speaker 3: say they are not confident when it comes to netting
- 8:08Speaker 3: Yahoo and World affairs.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Look at this.
- 8:10Speaker 3: In twenty twenty three, they're not confident. Percentage was forty
- 8:13Speaker 3: two up significantly up, like a rocket, up to fifty
- 8:16Speaker 3: nine percent. That's a nearly twenty point movement in just
- 8:20Speaker 3: three years time. And now the majority of Americans say
- 8:23Speaker 3: they are not confident when it comes to bbing Nott
- 8:25Speaker 3: in Yahoo and World affairs. And we're not just talking
- 8:28Speaker 3: Democrats here, We're talking the entire American public.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Yeah, well, that guy talks fast, a fast talking post
- 8:33Speaker 2: to what has you got to catch a bus or something?
- 8:35Speaker 2: He's really in a hurry to get those polls done.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Do you ever? Am I the only one that still
- 8:40Speaker 2: watches these stupid Sunday shows, These ABC, NBC, CBS, the
- 8:45Speaker 2: Sunday morning shows. They are so corrupt you got to
- 8:50Speaker 2: be crazy to watch them. I guess I'm crazy because
- 8:52Speaker 2: I still I don't know why. I guess I still
- 8:55Speaker 2: watch him, thinking maybe maybe Tim Russel, it'll come back.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Maybe David Brinkley will come back on the Sunday Show.
- 9:01Speaker 2: But in the Russer days it was so even handed.
- 9:04Speaker 2: He would give the guests a hard time, but he'd
- 9:06Speaker 2: give the Democrat a hard time, and he'd give the
- 9:09Speaker 2: Republican a hard time. I mean he'd really question him.
- 9:12Speaker 2: But you once said this, and he'd put it up
- 9:14Speaker 2: on the screen. But he'd do it to both. Now
- 9:19Speaker 2: it's the most slanted, biased nonsense on these Sunday shows.
- 9:23Speaker 2: They have a Republican on, they yell and scream at him,
- 9:26Speaker 2: beat him up every time he tries to answer. They
- 9:28Speaker 2: got nine follow up questions. Then they come back from
- 9:31Speaker 2: the commercial. It's like Jackal and Hyde. Then the Democrat's on.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Whatever he says, they're nodding like bobbleheads. They don't interrupt,
- 9:39Speaker 2: there's no follow up questions, and they have the most
- 9:42Speaker 2: ridiculous guests. You know, like Adam Schiff is of no consequence.
- 9:48Speaker 2: He's not a major figure in Congress, he's nothing, but
- 9:51Speaker 2: he's on every week on every Sunday show. Why because
- 9:54Speaker 2: they'll call Trump all kinds of names. Now they got
- 9:56Speaker 2: the new guy. He's like the Indian Adam Shiff. It's
- 9:59Speaker 2: Roe Kanna this guy is on every Sunday. This guy
- 10:03Speaker 2: is a totally irrelevant, meaningless congressman, but he's on Meet
- 10:08Speaker 2: the Press the ABC Sundays every week because he's attacking
- 10:12Speaker 2: Trump like crazy. So here's the problem. They got this
- 10:16Speaker 2: El Sayad in Michigan. And El Sayad is the crazy
- 10:22Speaker 2: socialist lunatic in Michigan who said he wanted to ban football.
- 10:26Speaker 2: He hates Thanksgiving, he hates Fourth of July, he hates football.
- 10:30Speaker 2: He went on and on about that. So this Roe
- 10:33Speaker 2: Kanna is on the Sunday Show trying to counter that,
- 10:36Speaker 2: and he's trying to sound like he loves Thanksgiving and
- 10:40Speaker 2: he loves football, and he's It was just ridiculous. I mean,
- 10:44Speaker 2: you could just see was lying through his teeth, and
- 10:46Speaker 2: when they asked him, he said, I love Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving
- 10:49Speaker 2: is my favorite day of the year. Watching the Michigan
- 10:52Speaker 2: Ohio State game and the host didn't say a word. Now,
- 10:57Speaker 2: there's no Michigan Ohio State game on Thanksgiving. That's on
- 11:02Speaker 2: a Saturday. It's not on Thanksgiving. It never has been,
- 11:05Speaker 2: it never will be. I think he's thinking of the
- 11:07Speaker 2: Detroit Lions, who always play on Thanksgiving. But it was
- 11:11Speaker 2: clear he's never watched a football game, doesn't know anything
- 11:14Speaker 2: about it. He's just making that up. So there was
- 11:17Speaker 2: an effort on these Sunday shows to back off from
- 11:20Speaker 2: all this crazy socialists. Now you know they were all
- 11:23Speaker 2: screaming defund the police. You can find the quote s Yeah.
- 11:27Speaker 2: See if Tim Russett were here, when the Democrat tries
- 11:30Speaker 2: to say, well, we would never defund the police, Tim
- 11:33Speaker 2: Russett will put up the quote, here's what you said
- 11:36Speaker 2: November of twenty twenty two. But they don't do that.
- 11:39Speaker 2: So they have this Hakeem Jefferies IQ of about ninety
- 11:44Speaker 2: maybe Hakeem Jefferies and listen to him backing off. They're
- 11:51Speaker 2: changing their tune here. Well, what I can say is
- 11:53Speaker 2: that I do not support defunding the police. I do
- 11:57Speaker 2: not support open borders. I do not support a the Senate.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Now again, if it was Tim Russard, you're against open borders,
- 12:06Speaker 2: let me put up what you said two years ago.
- 12:08Speaker 2: But they don't do that anymore. They're the most rigged
- 12:11Speaker 2: fake Sunday shows. Hey, speaking of that, El Sayad in Michigan.
- 12:15Speaker 2: He's running against Mike Rodgers, who's a real solid, normal, regular,
- 12:21Speaker 2: common sense sort of a politician, military, veteran, solid candidate.
- 12:28Speaker 2: So uh, it's it's crazy l sayd against him. Here's
- 12:32Speaker 2: the CNN polster, the fast talking guy. Looks like El
- 12:35Speaker 2: Saiyad is falling behind. Looks like Rogers is in the lead.
- 12:38Speaker 3: This Abdulah Sayet is in trouble in Michigan. Take a
- 12:41Speaker 3: look here Michigan Senate Rogers versus Elside. Look at this
- 12:44Speaker 3: a new Fox News Paul Rogers is actually up by
- 12:47Speaker 3: four points. He's up by four points. It's close, But
- 12:49Speaker 3: a Republican is a head in Michigan?
- 12:51Speaker 2: And why why? What is going on? Look?
- 12:53Speaker 3: Among independence, Rogers actually leads by five. This is extremely
- 12:56Speaker 3: unusual because across the political map I was, I was
- 12:59Speaker 3: looking at these different fi I couldn't find another example
- 13:02Speaker 3: where the Republican was actually leading among independently.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Well, actually, yeah, yeah, Susan Collins in Maine looks like
- 13:09Speaker 2: she's pulling the head. Now, if they lose in Michigan,
- 13:12Speaker 2: the Democrats and this Rogers wins, and right now it
- 13:15Speaker 2: sounds like he will. They have no chance of taking
- 13:17Speaker 2: the Senate. Zero Now, Caroline Levitt leaving, as we've all heard,
- 13:24Speaker 2: who will replace her? Still here's the latest from over
- 13:27Speaker 2: the weekend. The President has a short list. Alina Habba
- 13:32Speaker 2: is still in the lead. Alena Habba is in the
- 13:35Speaker 2: lead on that list. Matthew Boyle from Breitbart high on
- 13:38Speaker 2: the list. Now, you're going to hear the name Scott Jennings.
- 13:41Speaker 2: They love him. He'd be great. But it's not going
- 13:44Speaker 2: to be Scott Jennings, mainly because Scott Jennings has built
- 13:47Speaker 2: quite a broadcasting career, making a fortune radio TV. He's
- 13:51Speaker 2: not given that up, so forget him. Jason Miller, it
- 13:55Speaker 2: won't be him. Roma d'aravi, she's been with the President both.
- 14:00Speaker 2: She's wonderful, but too nice, sweetest, nicest person. You can't
- 14:05Speaker 2: be the White House Press secretary if you're that nice.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Jen pellegrinow she's a rising star in conservative media. Monica
- 14:12Speaker 2: Crowley is being put on the list. She'd be very
- 14:14Speaker 2: good at that. But oh, you know who else is
- 14:17Speaker 2: on the list. It's still Alina Habba in the lead.
- 14:20Speaker 2: But Lara Trump is on the list. Now, Lara Trump
- 14:24Speaker 2: on the list for possible White House Press secretary. The
- 14:27Speaker 2: deputy press secretary is very good. That's Anna Kelly. They're
- 14:32Speaker 2: very happy with her. So there's no hurry on this.
- 14:35Speaker 2: They'll let her do Actually, they may want to try
- 14:37Speaker 2: her out. Let her do the job for a few
- 14:39Speaker 2: weeks and see how she does. So. Hey, the other thing,
- 14:43Speaker 2: this weekend, every time I turn around, there's a football
- 14:47Speaker 2: game on TV. This summer was just getting going. I'm
- 14:52Speaker 2: watching football on TV several times this weekend. I go
- 14:56Speaker 2: into a store this Halloween displays. There was one, you know,
- 15:01Speaker 2: that Christmas tree store. There was one of them actually open,
- 15:04Speaker 2: one of those. You got to stop this, stop rushing everything.
- 15:08Speaker 2: It's still summer for a couple more weeks, and it
- 15:10Speaker 2: looks like a rain possible, possible today. But then you
- 15:16Speaker 2: got some pretty good weeks. Hey, Tommy John passed away
- 15:22Speaker 2: over the weekend. He was a wonderful guy. I knew
- 15:24Speaker 2: Tommy John, a really good guy. Lived in Franklin Lakes
- 15:28Speaker 2: in New Jersey while he was with the Yankees and
- 15:30Speaker 2: his wife Sally, very very nice people. Then had moved
- 15:34Speaker 2: down to Florida and died at his home in Bradenton,
- 15:38Speaker 2: eighty three years old. But a great guy. You know.
- 15:42Speaker 2: It's one thing I think he had the most victories.
- 15:46Speaker 2: It might have been Roger Clemens. Let me just see,
- 15:49Speaker 2: well he won two hundred and eighty eight games. That's
- 15:54Speaker 2: second only to Roger Clemens two hundred and eighty eight games,
- 15:57Speaker 2: won almost three hundred games, which is like these two guys,
- 16:00Speaker 2: that's the all time record in the modern era of baseball.
- 16:04Speaker 2: That's the modern era. Now, remember there's the old era
- 16:07Speaker 2: where you couldn't figure out what was going on. They
- 16:09Speaker 2: had these gloves that looked like a glove of five
- 16:12Speaker 2: year old would have. They had these baseball looked like
- 16:15Speaker 2: they were made out of hay or something, or they
- 16:17Speaker 2: like these dirty baseballs. And then they had Babe Ruth
- 16:21Speaker 2: with the little toothpick legs trying to run. It was
- 16:24Speaker 2: a different era then, totally different. Hey, we got a
- 16:28Speaker 2: lot to get to. We'll get to. Hey, there's one
- 16:31Speaker 2: of the stars of the Sopranos. You probably don't know
- 16:33Speaker 2: what they're doing nowadays. It may surprise you. And we'll
- 16:37Speaker 2: get to I ran and a whole lot more coming up.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Mark Simone here nine to noon now every day, nine
- 16:42Speaker 2: to noon here on seven to ten. Wr No though
- 16:47Speaker 2: Mark Simone's show nine until noon weekday or Mark seven
- 16:52Speaker 2: tenor all right, it's a little too much Mark, if
- 16:56Speaker 2: you ask me, but attending not to sounds so anyway,
- 17:00Speaker 2: you know, a lot of things changed with the pandemic.
- 17:04Speaker 2: You remember that we were we were locked up at
- 17:07Speaker 2: home for a few months, and then for months after
- 17:09Speaker 2: that you couldn't really go to work. You couldn't. Everybody's
- 17:11Speaker 2: working from home. And a lot of things changed after
- 17:16Speaker 2: that year. First of all, it used to be you
- 17:19Speaker 2: went to work until five six o'clock. Then you went home.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Changed and whatever you're going to do, then you went
- 17:25Speaker 2: out to dinner, So everybody would go out at seven
- 17:28Speaker 2: eight o'clock to dinner. During the pandemic, you're working from home,
- 17:32Speaker 2: so when you're done at five, you're all set to go.
- 17:34Speaker 2: A lot of people start going to restaurants and going
- 17:37Speaker 2: to dinner five six o'clock, and that has stuck with us.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Now people are eating earlier. Big article in the New
- 17:43Speaker 2: York Times not long ago it said six o'clock is
- 17:46Speaker 2: the new eight o'clock. So restaurants will tell you they
- 17:49Speaker 2: get packed now at six. Maybe you get a second
- 17:52Speaker 2: wave at eight, but it's mostly six seven o'clock. Everybody's there.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Sometimes five point thirty, your restaurants start getting a lot
- 17:58Speaker 2: of customers, so that's one thing that changed. Obviously, Zoom
- 18:02Speaker 2: became huge during the pandemic. And the other thing that
- 18:07Speaker 2: changed nobody could go to a movie theater. During the pandemic.
- 18:11Speaker 2: There was a year of no movie theaters, so people
- 18:13Speaker 2: realized it's fine to watch a movie at home. You
- 18:17Speaker 2: don't have to go to a theater. It used to
- 18:18Speaker 2: be you went for the big screen. That's when they
- 18:22Speaker 2: had big screens, you know, like Zigfield Theater across the street.
- 18:25Speaker 2: There are they, you know, two thousand people in the audience,
- 18:27Speaker 2: a big screen. And then over the years, every movie
- 18:31Speaker 2: theater busted up into four theaters, some of them eight theaters,
- 18:35Speaker 2: so you had every theater you go to a movie theater.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Now it's busted up into four separate theaters, each one
- 18:41Speaker 2: with one hundred seats, each one with a smaller screen.
- 18:44Speaker 2: And at the same time that phenomenon is going on,
- 18:46Speaker 2: your TV at home is getting bigger and bigger. Remember
- 18:49Speaker 2: it used to be thirty inches. Wow at thirty inch screen.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Then a forty five inch screen was nothing, sixty five
- 18:55Speaker 2: inch was normal, seventy five inches pretty common now five
- 19:01Speaker 2: so you screened at home got as big as the
- 19:03Speaker 2: one in the theater. As that kept shrinking and the quality,
- 19:06Speaker 2: the actual picture quality is probably better on your home
- 19:09Speaker 2: screen now and you can get your own sound, your
- 19:13Speaker 2: own speakers. It sounds good. There was no reason to
- 19:15Speaker 2: go to a movie theater, so when the pandemic ended,
- 19:19Speaker 2: it was very tough to get people back in the theaters,
- 19:24Speaker 2: really tough, and they were empty for so long. Now
- 19:26Speaker 2: I give AMC credit. AMC just quietly rebuilt all their theaters.
- 19:31Speaker 2: So now when you go in there, you're sitting in
- 19:33Speaker 2: a recliner seat and a really comfortable, nice recliner seats,
- 19:37Speaker 2: and on both sides you got like a tray table
- 19:39Speaker 2: there and they can order anything. They got waiters and waitresses.
- 19:43Speaker 2: It's great. So that helped a little. But what really
- 19:47Speaker 2: helped is these past few weeks where you got the
- 19:50Speaker 2: two biggest blockbusters, and this is unusual for two to
- 19:54Speaker 2: happen at the same time, but you got The Odyssey
- 19:58Speaker 2: which opened and just packed theaters. The Odyssey has already
- 20:01Speaker 2: made one point three billion in just the first few weeks,
- 20:06Speaker 2: one point three billion. But even bigger is Spider Man.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Spider Man over the weekend hit two billion. This is
- 20:13Speaker 2: in a couple of weeks, two billion. The other one
- 20:17Speaker 2: one point three million. This has got people back to
- 20:19Speaker 2: the theaters. And if you're going to those AMC theaters
- 20:23Speaker 2: and you say, wow, you can sit in a reclining chair.
- 20:25Speaker 2: But give this a few months and people start to realize,
- 20:28Speaker 2: wait a minute, I got a reclining share at home.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I can do this at home. You have it in
- 20:32Speaker 2: a theater, you could order anything you want. Well, I
- 20:35Speaker 2: can do that at home. I can do you know,
- 20:37Speaker 2: you're at home, you can lie in bed and watch
- 20:39Speaker 2: the movie. So I don't know what the future is
- 20:41Speaker 2: of these movie theaters, but we'll see. Hey, the Daily
- 20:48Speaker 2: Show John Stewart, he's doing this podcast. He's had a
- 20:52Speaker 2: million guests. The Daily Show's been on for what decades?
- 20:55Speaker 2: All these guests, So they asked him in this podcast,
- 20:58Speaker 2: who is your least favorite guest? Your least favorite guest?
- 21:02Speaker 2: Now people have asked me that too. I've had probably,
- 21:05Speaker 2: I don't know, fifty thousand guests on over the decades.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Everybody you can name least favorite I don't know. I
- 21:13Speaker 2: don't know. This really bad guest, but I kind of
- 21:15Speaker 2: enjoyed them. They were so bad they made it fun. Uh, well,
- 21:21Speaker 2: we'll gon'll give them name names another time. So John
- 21:23Speaker 2: Stewart right away, he said Donald Rumsfeld. Apparently. So Rumsfeld
- 21:29Speaker 2: was going to be on in twenty eleven. This is
- 21:31Speaker 2: after the Iraq War. Rumsfeld had written a book and
- 21:34Speaker 2: he was going to promote this book. So Stuart said,
- 21:37Speaker 2: he stayed up all night studying it, studying the book.
- 21:41Speaker 2: He said, I stayed up as if I were pramming
- 21:43Speaker 2: for an exam. Okay, that's good, you're doing research, you're
- 21:45Speaker 2: preparing for the interview. But he said, now this is
- 21:48Speaker 2: you're not supposed to do this. See this is a rigged,
- 21:51Speaker 2: biased show. He said, I worked out a logic trap,
- 21:55Speaker 2: a labyrinth. I was going to draw him into my
- 21:58Speaker 2: trap and then spring it. You're not supposed to do that.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Just ask the guy questions. So it was the Iraq
- 22:06Speaker 2: War that he was going after him for, so he
- 22:08Speaker 2: had this whole plot of what he was going to do,
- 22:10Speaker 2: trap him in a logic trap, whatever the hell that is.
- 22:14Speaker 2: But as soon as they start the interview, Stuart said,
- 22:17Speaker 2: you know when you were selling the war, and Rumsfeld
- 22:20Speaker 2: interrupted right away because no, no, no, no, not selling the war,
- 22:23Speaker 2: simply making the case. So then Stuart started debating him
- 22:27Speaker 2: on whether it was selling or making the case selling
- 22:29Speaker 2: the war and making it so that debate for ten minutes.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Stuart realized later he said, Rumsfeldt tortured him and tricked him.
- 22:38Speaker 2: He got him hung up on that, on that little semantics,
- 22:41Speaker 2: and that burned up most of the interview and he
- 22:44Speaker 2: never got to his logic trap whatever the hell else.
- 22:48Speaker 2: But apparently this is bug Stuart like crazy. He said,
- 22:51Speaker 2: it tortured me. I couldn't sleep that night and for
- 22:54Speaker 2: many nights afterwards, I couldn't sleep. He said after the interview,
- 23:00Speaker 2: sent me a note saying, really enjoyed the interview, Thank
- 23:03Speaker 2: you very much. I wish you had known you when
- 23:05Speaker 2: we were younger. I bet we were in friends. And
- 23:08Speaker 2: he said he knew rumshell was doing that, just the torture,
- 23:10Speaker 2: and me even more so. See this out twisted. These
- 23:14Speaker 2: guys are inside, they're like plotting, scheming to take down Trump,
- 23:19Speaker 2: take down rumsfeld It's it's not just an interview with them.
- 23:22Speaker 2: They gotta wipe the guy out. Anyway. We'll talk more
- 23:24Speaker 2: about this in a moment, and we'll get to a
- 23:27Speaker 2: lot more coming up. We'll take some calls to don't
- 23:29Speaker 2: go away. It's Mark Simone nine to noon every day
- 23:33Speaker 2: now on seven to ten WR. Welcome back to the
- 23:37Speaker 2: Mark Simone Show.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Live from the WR Life Back Studios.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Hey, we'll take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 23:47Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 23:50Speaker 2: one zero seven ten Radio City. Madison Square Garden is
- 23:55Speaker 2: all James Dolan. I always found it to be a
- 23:58Speaker 2: nice guy in real life, but a lot of people,
- 24:01Speaker 2: you know, mad at him for this and that, and
- 24:02Speaker 2: some of these law firms have sued Madison Square Garden.
- 24:06Speaker 2: So he uses facial recognition cameras at the entrance. You know,
- 24:11Speaker 2: Madison Square Garden when they have a concert and event sports,
- 24:15Speaker 2: you know it'll be twenty thousand people coming in, but
- 24:17Speaker 2: they got those facial recognition cameras and these things. I mean,
- 24:22Speaker 2: these are real sophisticated things. You hire one of these
- 24:25Speaker 2: facial recognition companies and they spot anybody that works in
- 24:29Speaker 2: the law firm that's suing them, and sometimes it's just
- 24:34Speaker 2: an employee of the law firm, and they don't let
- 24:36Speaker 2: him in. They actually stop and so this has caused
- 24:38Speaker 2: a lot of controversy. Now, if you're a law firm
- 24:40Speaker 2: suing him and he doesn't want to let you in.
- 24:43Speaker 2: I don't know is he wrong, But he's stopping any
- 24:47Speaker 2: employee of the law firm. So apparently a woman got
- 24:49Speaker 2: stopped coming into Radio City take a listen to this.
- 24:53Speaker 5: For years, MSG owner James Dolan has doubled down on
- 24:56Speaker 5: using facial recognition to scan anyone entering his and banning
- 25:01Speaker 5: individuals that he dislikes. In one widely reported case, a
- 25:04Speaker 5: mother was turned away from Radio City Music Hall simply
- 25:08Speaker 5: because she worked at a law firm involved in litigation
- 25:10Speaker 5: against stolen She was there chaperoning her girl Scout troop
- 25:14Speaker 5: and posed no security threat.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Well you see slanted reporting. He does this to anybody
- 25:20Speaker 2: doesn't like. No, it sounds like he just does it
- 25:22Speaker 2: to a law firm that's suing him. And she works
- 25:26Speaker 2: for the law firm.
- 25:26Speaker 3: You know.
- 25:27Speaker 2: They make it sound like she was scrubbing floors or something.
- 25:29Speaker 2: She was probably one of the lead lawyers on the case.
- 25:33Speaker 2: I don't know, is that wrong. She did not. If
- 25:36Speaker 2: somebody's suing you, if you're a restaurant, somebody's sewing, you
- 25:38Speaker 2: don't want to let him in. I could understand that,
- 25:42Speaker 2: and I don't know she had her girl Scout troop
- 25:45Speaker 2: with her. Adn't no. Sounds like I could imagine one
- 25:49Speaker 2: of these law firms sending somebody, we'll go rent the
- 25:52Speaker 2: girl scout troop and show up and get turned away.
- 25:54Speaker 2: I don't know, very very very slanted reporting. Must be
- 25:58Speaker 2: New York one or something. Anyway, let's take some calls.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten. Eight
- 26:04Speaker 2: hundred three two one zero seven ten. Let's go to
- 26:08Speaker 2: Jimmy and Bergen County. Jimmy, how you doing.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Hey?
- 26:13Speaker 6: Mark? How you doing good? Mark? The reasonal call is
- 26:16Speaker 6: you had mentioned the Odyssey and Spider Man. Well, my
- 26:21Speaker 6: wife and I tried to go see the Odyssey in
- 26:23Speaker 6: the theater in Richfield Park. And the thing is, we
- 26:26Speaker 6: are absolutely senior citizens, okay, And when we went into
- 26:30Speaker 6: the theater, we expected to pay and go to our seat.
- 26:34Speaker 6: It was at that point where you people came right
- 26:37Speaker 6: past us with their cell phone and showed it to
- 26:41Speaker 6: the you know, the lady that they give and they
- 26:44Speaker 6: walked right in and we didn't understand it.
- 26:46Speaker 2: And the point I think they were paying with their phone.
- 26:49Speaker 2: They were they bought the ticket and they were paying
- 26:51Speaker 2: with their phone.
- 26:53Speaker 6: Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. But the thing is
- 26:56Speaker 6: a lot of senior citizens don't realize that because we
- 26:59Speaker 6: have a play. He's up and Hunt the Mountain. And
- 27:01Speaker 6: when we went at this little mountain cinema that has
- 27:04Speaker 6: about fifty cheers, we loved it. Oh my god, we
- 27:08Speaker 6: love you. Walking. You get the people a couple of
- 27:10Speaker 6: bucks and you go to your seat, mustlaying, no dance
- 27:14Speaker 6: and you want to.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Like you with your phone faster, so you and your wife,
- 27:18Speaker 2: you go to a lot of movies. Right that way,
- 27:20Speaker 2: you don't have to talk to her.
- 27:23Speaker 7: No. No.
- 27:24Speaker 6: As a matter of fact, my son that was working
- 27:26Speaker 6: on a second mistae from computer stuff before he got
- 27:30Speaker 6: murdered by Isis and he would normally, you know, have
- 27:33Speaker 6: taken care of that course. But the as scene is
- 27:37Speaker 6: not that familiar with cell phones. It's frustrating.
- 27:40Speaker 2: All right, Well, catch up. It's not that complicated. If
- 27:43Speaker 2: a fifteen year old can figure it out, you can
- 27:46Speaker 2: figure it out. Learn how to do it by phone,
- 27:49Speaker 2: Come on, learn how to learn how to do it.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Get in the modern world. You know, things are a
- 27:56Speaker 2: lot easier in a lot of ways. Now you know,
- 27:59Speaker 2: you can listen to the show. You know, half our audience,
- 28:01Speaker 2: right now is listening on their phone. You download the
- 28:04Speaker 2: iHeart app and whenever you wherever you are, you can
- 28:07Speaker 2: listen on the phone. It's really easy. You can't listen
- 28:11Speaker 2: to the show live. You get the podcast, you know
- 28:13Speaker 2: on the iHeart app or any any podcast app. Your
- 28:17Speaker 2: your iPhone has a podcast app right in it. You
- 28:20Speaker 2: can listen to the show anytime, twenty four hours a day.
- 28:23Speaker 2: And you can order stuff online any of these takeout
- 28:28Speaker 2: places like right outside you got the Chipotle, you got Chopped,
- 28:33Speaker 2: great salad place. But you go on the app, you
- 28:37Speaker 2: type in your order, you pay on the app. It's
- 28:39Speaker 2: all set. It tells you to be ready in ten minutes.
- 28:42Speaker 2: You go in. In ten minutes, everything's there waiting for
- 28:45Speaker 2: you in a bag with your name on it. You
- 28:47Speaker 2: just grab it and leave. You don't have to talk
- 28:49Speaker 2: to anybody. You don't have to. It's great, you know,
- 28:52Speaker 2: isn't it annoying when you go on these You're going
- 28:54Speaker 2: to Chipotle and the guy's starting to make your burrito,
- 28:58Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden he starts talking to
- 28:59Speaker 2: the other guy and he drips away for like two
- 29:01Speaker 2: many You don't have to watch any of that. You
- 29:03Speaker 2: don't have to see any of that. Starbucks wherever. You
- 29:06Speaker 2: just order everything online everything. And if you're older and
- 29:11Speaker 2: you don't do that, start doing it. You'll find it's
- 29:13Speaker 2: much much easier. Your iPhone can do everything for you. Hey,
- 29:17Speaker 2: speaking of which, the new iPhone comes out next month.
- 29:19Speaker 2: It'll be the iPhone eighteen. Uh so far only I'm
- 29:23Speaker 2: hearing is much much much bigger battery, longer battery life.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Everything will be faster, much better camera. New watch is
- 29:32Speaker 2: coming out. If you use the health features in the watch,
- 29:36Speaker 2: like the sleep tracking, the breathing all that, Apparently it's
- 29:40Speaker 2: not that great right now in the Apple Watch, but
- 29:42Speaker 2: apparently major upgrade to the health features coming in the
- 29:46Speaker 2: new eye Watch. Let's go to Sal in Long Island. Sal.
- 29:49Speaker 1: How you doing, Yes, Hi, good morning Marks.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Thanks? Oh I like a peppy guy.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Yeah a week. Yeah, I just had a couple of
- 30:01Speaker 1: things to talk to you about. Number one, that keeps
- 30:03Speaker 1: saying that the may of New York City montem that
- 30:05Speaker 1: she he's an idiot. He doesn't know what he's doing,
- 30:07Speaker 1: And I don't think you're the opposite. He's smart. He's
- 30:09Speaker 1: ruining the city like he's supposed to. His handle isn't
- 30:12Speaker 1: telling him what to do because he's only a kid.
- 30:14Speaker 1: He's thirty four. He never did anything, so he's got
- 30:17Speaker 1: people telling him what they're doing.
- 30:19Speaker 2: What nobody tells him what to do. He runs his
- 30:22Speaker 2: own thing. Good news is he's all talk. He just
- 30:24Speaker 2: talks a lot. He's lazy, doesn't actually do anything. And
- 30:28Speaker 2: I hear a lot of weed, a lot of weed lately,
- 30:31Speaker 2: so that that's good. Yeah, he's just.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Discouraging. He never touches sanitation or the fire department. He
- 30:38Speaker 1: needs them. But I don't know about him. Sometimes it's
- 30:42Speaker 1: too well planted.
- 30:43Speaker 2: I think I love how you just make up stuff.
- 30:45Speaker 2: You if this is it? Well, first of all, he
- 30:49Speaker 2: has touched the fire department. He's put in his own
- 30:51Speaker 2: fire commission. Although she's pretty good, she's actually not bad.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Where are you in Long Island.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Up on the Norhore?
- 30:59Speaker 2: Very beautiful there in the water Stea Cliff is quite beautiful.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Nice little small, sleepy fishing village, very nice. I was
- 31:06Speaker 2: right near there the other day Friday, I was in
- 31:09Speaker 2: Long Island and I went to the new Uncle Giuseppes
- 31:12Speaker 2: opened in Greenvale. What an opening. Thousands of people. You
- 31:17Speaker 2: couldn't even park in The was so busy. It's just
- 31:20Speaker 2: for the opening. It'll calm down. And yeah, that sounds
- 31:25Speaker 2: like a lot of fun. Spend the day with you.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Come over.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Just think about Trump keep saying we have more oil
- 31:33Speaker 1: than anybody else was telling it to the countries. I'm
- 31:35Speaker 1: still paying for it all a gallon.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Well, that has nothing to do that has nothing to
- 31:39Speaker 2: do with Trump. That's New York state tax, all the
- 31:41Speaker 2: all the city and state tax. Remember gas is like
- 31:44Speaker 2: three eighty all over the country. It's four eighty here
- 31:46Speaker 2: in New York. That's that's all New York's stuff. You
- 31:49Speaker 2: could easily get, you know, all these Democrats to yell
- 31:53Speaker 2: and scream about affordability taxes. You want affordability. Cut the taxes,
- 31:58Speaker 2: get the gas prices. Just eliminate the gas taxes. During
- 32:02Speaker 2: the war, it would come right down to three eighty.
- 32:04Speaker 2: You know that new study shows that right now many
- 32:09Speaker 2: most Americans are paying more in taxes than they do
- 32:11Speaker 2: for food, clothing, and shelter. Affordability. Cut the taxes. Let's
- 32:16Speaker 2: go to Max and Manhattan. Max.
- 32:18Speaker 7: How you doing, Mark, Thank you for taking my call.
- 32:22Speaker 7: There's a bill that's local signed into effect, and it
- 32:25Speaker 7: well it took effect. I think the sixth of this month,
- 32:28Speaker 7: and essentially it allows anyone in the hospital to go
- 32:32Speaker 7: when you're in the hospital and you're sick, they can
- 32:35Speaker 7: go and inject you with something and kill you. It's
- 32:37Speaker 7: called mademaid and Medical Assistance in Dying.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, we'll look into that. That's like Jack Kavorkian,
- 32:46Speaker 2: doctor Jack Kovorkian, who is probably better liked right now
- 32:50Speaker 2: than doctor Fauci. Well, we'll get to doctor Fauci coming
- 32:53Speaker 2: up a little later in the show. We'll get to
- 32:56Speaker 2: Iran and a whole lot more coming up. Marks Moon
- 33:00Speaker 2: here nine to noon. Every day nine to noon is
- 33:03Speaker 2: a new hour nine to noon, and then of course
- 33:06Speaker 2: at noon it's Buck and Clay with a wonderful show.
- 33:08Speaker 2: And then they'll most listen to radio show in America
- 33:11Speaker 2: Sean Hannity three, Jesse Kelly six o'clock every day, and
- 33:15Speaker 2: the very funny Jimmy Fail. If you haven't listened to show,
- 33:18Speaker 2: listen to it. You'll get hooked right away. Jimmy Fail
- 33:21Speaker 2: is on every night at nine on seven ten wr.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Mark Zimon Missed New York Now three hours every weekday
- 33:29Speaker 1: from nine till noon on seven tenbr.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Well, hey, it looks like the rain will stop. It'll
- 33:38Speaker 2: be just a cloudy day. It probably won't be any
- 33:40Speaker 2: more rain. Then Tuesday and Wednesday pretty nice, a lot
- 33:44Speaker 2: of sunshine. Tuesday and Wednesday could be rain on. Yeah,
- 33:49Speaker 2: Thursday looks like rain. Then it should be a pretty
- 33:52Speaker 2: good weekend. Now, the problem is we're running out of weekends.
- 33:55Speaker 2: We really are. It's like two more full weeks before
- 34:00Speaker 2: we head into labor day weeks. So it's like two
- 34:02Speaker 2: and a half weeks until Labor Day weekend. Wow, boy,
- 34:07Speaker 2: that's summer really really went by fast. So hey, coming
- 34:11Speaker 2: up at the next hour, Michael Goodwin will be with us,
- 34:13Speaker 2: the great columnists. We'll get to Iran. Apparently there are
- 34:16Speaker 2: a secret back end talks taking place between the president
- 34:23Speaker 2: and Hey, we'll get back to a president trip to
- 34:26Speaker 2: Long Island, spent the weekend in Bedminster. He's been doing
- 34:29Speaker 2: that every week, so we'll get to that. Don't forget
- 34:32Speaker 2: it's nine to noon every day. If you're just tuning in,
- 34:34Speaker 2: you missed the first hour we're on. Now I'm on
- 34:37Speaker 2: now nine to noon, nine o'clock till noon every weekday
- 34:41Speaker 2: here on seven to ten. WR
