- 0:05Speaker 2: This is the Reader Panalty Show.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Good evening and welcome to the Reader Panalty Show. Coming
- 0:11Speaker 3: up tonight. Support for the Albanezy government drops to its
- 0:14Speaker 3: lowest mark since last year's election. The panel will be
- 0:17Speaker 3: here to cover the day's top headlines. The Prime Minister
- 0:20Speaker 3: shaws astrologers that will get through the fuel crisis, but
- 0:24Speaker 3: the stats tell a vastly different story. Liberal Senator Alex
- 0:28Speaker 3: Antique joins me to discuss that the Great Josh Hammer
- 0:31Speaker 3: will have the latest from the US, including the note
- 0:34Speaker 3: King's protest over the weekend, and later in the hour,
- 0:38Speaker 3: kings In Schofield joins me for the latest in royal
- 0:40Speaker 3: and entertainment news, including reports that King Charles is softening
- 0:45Speaker 3: his stance with his prodigal son Prince Harry, and we
- 0:48Speaker 3: never neglect left his losing it tonight, starring Robert de Niro.
- 0:54Speaker 4: But none have been such existential threat to our freedoms
- 0:59Speaker 4: and secure, none except Trump. He must be stopped, and
- 1:04Speaker 4: he must be stopped now.
- 1:06Speaker 3: But first. The Victorian Liberal Party's pre selection process has
- 1:10Speaker 3: been thrown into turmoil after the man who asked at
- 1:12Speaker 3: popular MP worried deeming was forced to withdraw his candidacy
- 1:17Speaker 3: after it was revealed that he provided a character reference
- 1:20Speaker 3: for a now convicted child sex avender. The Australian newspaper
- 1:24Speaker 3: reports that Dinnish Garassetti provided sworn evidence less than two
- 1:29Speaker 3: years ago attesting to the good character of Cashiap Patel,
- 1:34Speaker 3: who was a member of the Liberal faction and a
- 1:36Speaker 3: good friend. Patel was convicted and sentenced to nine months
- 1:40Speaker 3: imprisonment plus a two year correction order after being found
- 1:44Speaker 3: guilty of grooming, sexually assaulting and transmitting in decent communication
- 1:50Speaker 3: to a child under sixteen. Joining me now is former
- 1:54Speaker 3: Labor MP Michael Danby and Sky News contributor Louisa Roberts. Michael,
- 1:58Speaker 3: I'll stub with you, what's your reaction to this whole catastrophe?
- 2:03Speaker 3: The firstly, the decision to oust one of the few
- 2:07Speaker 3: MPs in the Liberal Party who has cut through with
- 2:10Speaker 3: the electorate, who actually performs well after everything they have
- 2:13Speaker 3: put her through. And then this added catastrophe.
- 2:17Speaker 5: Well, the public hates all of this internal Liberal machinations
- 2:21Speaker 5: and they just wish that you've got an MP who's
- 2:23Speaker 5: effective and hasn't been convicted of Malfeasan's just keep her there.
- 2:27Speaker 5: That's what should have been done. Now. The administrative wing
- 2:30Speaker 5: of the Liberal Party has conducted preselections themselves before the
- 2:36Speaker 5: executive should meet as they have done with other candidates
- 2:40Speaker 5: and put her back in. The problem is I understand
- 2:43Speaker 5: it that the majority of the state executive don't want her,
- 2:47Speaker 5: so they'd have to bite their tongue and think of
- 2:49Speaker 5: England because it's not as in the interests of their
- 2:53Speaker 5: public perception for them for this infighting to go on,
- 2:56Speaker 5: particularly not for the new state leader. And I agree
- 2:59Speaker 5: with ab and Credlin. This has just got to win,
- 3:03Speaker 5: even if you're not ideologically committed to MOI redeeming. For
- 3:07Speaker 5: the democratic contest to take place, you should have people
- 3:11Speaker 5: who are stayed in peace, who are you know, as
- 3:15Speaker 5: you said, very cut through and leave them there.
- 3:19Speaker 3: She's one of the few who actually did well at
- 3:21Speaker 3: the last election.
- 3:22Speaker 5: They should be fighting the Labor Party, not themselves.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Then she was put through hel Luise for standing up
- 3:29Speaker 3: for women, for taking a stand for women, for women's spaces,
- 3:32Speaker 3: for women's sport. It's a massive issue in this state.
- 3:36Speaker 3: We've got male sexual predators in female's prisons in Victoria.
- 3:41Speaker 3: This is a situation that is crying out for some
- 3:45Speaker 3: sort of political intervention, and yet the liberals are too
- 3:49Speaker 3: scared to really deal with it in any meaningful way.
- 3:52Speaker 3: She did, she was attacked for it, the leader defamed her,
- 3:55Speaker 3: she had to take him to court to clear her name,
- 3:59Speaker 3: and now we've god this shambalick mess. I mean, you
- 4:02Speaker 3: can see why labor has been in power for so
- 4:04Speaker 3: long in this state.
- 4:05Speaker 6: Absolutely, this whole episode is a complete gift to the
- 4:08Speaker 6: labor government, isn't it. Unfortunately, and the point you make
- 4:11Speaker 6: of that Moura is a very good one. She has
- 4:13Speaker 6: advocated for the rights of biological women and been ruthlessly
- 4:17Speaker 6: punished for it and then exonerated through the legal process
- 4:20Speaker 6: of cause, but still is not pre selected. And the
- 4:23Speaker 6: person they have pre selected, they obviously haven't done their
- 4:25Speaker 6: due diligence on him either. So the top of the
- 4:28Speaker 6: shambles list is the whole vetting process for liberal pre
- 4:31Speaker 6: selection in Victoria. So did they know about this reference,
- 4:34Speaker 6: and if they did, they continued otherwise. I mean, the
- 4:38Speaker 6: whole thing's a disgrace and it doesn't bode well for,
- 4:42Speaker 6: as Michael says, the voters who really just want action
- 4:46Speaker 6: in the community, and in the state, they're absolutely sick
- 4:48Speaker 6: to death. They've had a gutfull of the infighting. And
- 4:51Speaker 6: if you can't run your own party, how on earth
- 4:53Speaker 6: are you going to run the states.
- 4:56Speaker 3: That is a very good point. And even if they
- 4:58Speaker 3: go back to MOI and beg her to stand, if
- 5:04Speaker 3: I was there, I would tell them to get stuffed
- 5:06Speaker 3: and pick up the phone to Pauline Hanson. Pick up
- 5:09Speaker 3: the phone to One Nation, go out as an independent
- 5:13Speaker 3: if she prefers not to be part of one Nation.
- 5:15Speaker 3: But the way I have treated her repeatedly, now there's
- 5:19Speaker 3: a pattern, is absolutely appalling. And I want to give
- 5:22Speaker 3: you just some of the commentary we saw around this decision.
- 5:26Speaker 3: This is the former president of Liberal Pride, Heath Wilson,
- 5:32Speaker 3: who showed his class. When this news of more Redeeming
- 5:35Speaker 3: losing preselection was released. He posted her picture and the
- 5:40Speaker 3: story with the caption the bitch lost. I mean, Loise,
- 5:45Speaker 3: what do you make of that? It's hardly progressive and inclusive,
- 5:49Speaker 3: is it?
- 5:49Speaker 2: Well?
- 5:49Speaker 6: Can you imagine if she was on the other food
- 5:51Speaker 6: and she attacked him on social media like that? I mean,
- 5:53Speaker 6: it'd be absolute hell to pay, wouldn't it. It's a lazy, sexist,
- 5:57Speaker 6: abusive narrative. I mean, any want to call some of
- 6:00Speaker 6: the B word in that context or overall, is obviously
- 6:05Speaker 6: not very intelligent, has to resort to insults to kind
- 6:07Speaker 6: of make their point. And I'm sure his followers thought
- 6:10Speaker 6: it was hilarious and were sort of choking into their
- 6:12Speaker 6: lattes as they saw that post. But it's offensive to
- 6:15Speaker 6: all women, let alone women who perhaps may not have
- 6:19Speaker 6: supported more in the first place. So yeah, just reactionary
- 6:22Speaker 6: and foul.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Really, and again I emphasize Michael here. This is the
- 6:28Speaker 3: former president of Liberal Pride, So this is part of
- 6:31Speaker 3: the liberal party here in Victoria. This is part of
- 6:34Speaker 3: the liberal community. It's not someone from the Greens or
- 6:39Speaker 3: Labor who's passing this sort of commentary. And I can
- 6:42Speaker 3: see from this why so many capable people say they
- 6:48Speaker 3: will not run for the Liberals in this state because
- 6:50Speaker 3: they don't want to be part of this. They don't
- 6:52Speaker 3: want to be subjected to this. I mean, you expect
- 6:55Speaker 3: to get all sorts of invective from your ideological opponents
- 6:59Speaker 3: on the other side, but when it's coming from within,
- 7:02Speaker 3: it's a different thing.
- 7:03Speaker 5: Well, apparently there's identity politics in the liberal party. This
- 7:09Speaker 5: is virtue signaling to a small group of people who
- 7:14Speaker 5: he must perceive as being pro trans I mean, what
- 7:18Speaker 5: a crazy basis in which to humiliate the state leader
- 7:22Speaker 5: of the Liberal Party who wanted more Deeming back in.
- 7:26Speaker 5: She's a sense of a woman.
- 7:27Speaker 3: This I'd say about Jess Wilson's standing in the party.
- 7:32Speaker 3: If she has said that she wants more to be
- 7:34Speaker 3: part of the team and a decision is made to
- 7:37Speaker 3: Austa and asked for a candidate, who as do we
- 7:39Speaker 3: draw within twenty four hours?
- 7:41Speaker 5: That's why the State Administrative Committee should step in back
- 7:46Speaker 5: the new state leader and put Deeming back in, and
- 7:51Speaker 5: put this issue behind them and go on to a
- 7:54Speaker 5: Liberal versus labor policy fight.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Well, where Deeming is a Christian, she's a forgiving woman.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Maybe she will forgive them again. I think a lot
- 8:04Speaker 3: of other people wouldn't. Now, let's move to federal politics
- 8:08Speaker 3: now and co. Support for the Labor government has fallen
- 8:12Speaker 3: to its lowest level since last year's election. The latest
- 8:15Speaker 3: newspoll shows the Labour's primary vote has slipped by another
- 8:18Speaker 3: percent to thirty one one. Nation has also dropped one
- 8:21Speaker 3: percent to twenty six, but well ahead of the Coalition
- 8:25Speaker 3: on twenty one percent, and the prime minister beferred prime
- 8:29Speaker 3: minister figures are interesting forty four percent backing Anthony ALBERNIZI
- 8:34Speaker 3: compared to thirty six percent for Angus Taylor. Louise, Are
- 8:38Speaker 3: you surprised that Coalition isn't making up more ground under
- 8:42Speaker 3: Angus Taylor's leadership and with a fuel crisis adding to
- 8:46Speaker 3: cost of living pressures.
- 8:47Speaker 6: Yeah, I am surprised, but I don't think they've weaponized
- 8:50Speaker 6: this crisis properly.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Reta.
- 8:52Speaker 6: I don't think they've made it. They've made the connection
- 8:54Speaker 6: between a geo political issue and the actual pain that
- 8:57Speaker 6: Australian's are feeling. That's what they need to do to actually,
- 9:00Speaker 6: you know, attack the government full front, or is to
- 9:02Speaker 6: really make that hip pocket issue. And because we don't
- 9:05Speaker 6: vote on geopolitical issues, do we we vote on the
- 9:08Speaker 6: fuel price? And I guess you know, with the xcise
- 9:10Speaker 6: cut today, that may give some relief, but it won't
- 9:13Speaker 6: actually tackle supply, will it. It's just a bit of
- 9:16Speaker 6: a cherry on top of the moment to distract people
- 9:18Speaker 6: probably from the May budget, which is the point you've
- 9:20Speaker 6: made before too, So they haven't capitalized on it as well,
- 9:24Speaker 6: and I think we're all expecting them to because we
- 9:26Speaker 6: thought that one Susan was out of the way, that
- 9:28Speaker 6: it'd be a fresh start and you know, support would grow.
- 9:31Speaker 3: But that's not what's happened. I got to say, Michael,
- 9:35Speaker 3: I thought there would be a honeymoon period, we would
- 9:38Speaker 3: see a surge and support from the coalition one nation
- 9:41Speaker 3: perhaps dropping back a little bit, but that hasn't happened.
- 9:45Speaker 3: The measures announced today by the Prime Minister, do you
- 9:48Speaker 3: think that's going to boost confidence. We've got really band
- 9:52Speaker 3: aid measures here, cuts to the fuel excise for a
- 9:54Speaker 3: short period of time, and other measures that might bring
- 9:59Speaker 3: some temporary relief, but really the longer term issues here
- 10:03Speaker 3: are completely are being ignored. We are not talking about
- 10:09Speaker 3: how we can be energy independent, how we can cut
- 10:11Speaker 3: our reliance on foreign oil.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Really, you've got to remember I'm a Peter Welsh supply sider,
- 10:17Speaker 5: so cutting the X size is actually going to increase demand.
- 10:22Speaker 5: So with short supply, I think ultimately, if the war continues,
- 10:27Speaker 5: we may face the situation where we have a total
- 10:32Speaker 5: gas problem, total oil problem. The real issue, as this
- 10:37Speaker 5: station has identified so many of the commentators, such as
- 10:40Speaker 5: yourself and Chris Kenny supply. We need more gas, we
- 10:44Speaker 5: need more coal, we need more oil. It is fascicle, environmental.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Crazyents of years of reserves.
- 10:51Speaker 5: You know, we should be the wealthiest country in the
- 10:53Speaker 5: world given the fact that we've got so much cheap power,
- 10:57Speaker 5: including uranium which is you know, could be fitted into
- 11:01Speaker 5: nuclear power plants, which should start to be being built
- 11:04Speaker 5: now so we can have cheap electricity. And I say
- 11:07Speaker 5: this as a labor person for pensioners and poor people.
- 11:10Speaker 5: Chris Bowen please remember them absolutely.
- 11:13Speaker 3: I mean, we've already got well before this energy crisis.
- 11:17Speaker 3: People too scared to turn on the air conditioners in summer,
- 11:19Speaker 3: repeaters in winter. But this reliance we have on energy
- 11:25Speaker 3: from overseas oil. We've only got two refineries left. We
- 11:28Speaker 3: used to have around a dozen.
- 11:30Speaker 5: And as Matt Canavan points out, we've got no refining
- 11:33Speaker 5: producing urea, which is a vital fertilizer that used to
- 11:37Speaker 5: be produced in this country. We have to go all
- 11:39Speaker 5: the way to Saudi Arabia to get it for our farmers.
- 11:43Speaker 3: But this is really a failure of successive governments. You
- 11:45Speaker 3: can't just pin that on the current government. We've just
- 11:50Speaker 3: followed the green ideology headed to this net zero future.
- 11:53Speaker 3: And we're getting a glimpse of that net zero future
- 11:55Speaker 3: right now, aren't we in? It ain't pretty. Louise Roberts,
- 11:59Speaker 3: Michael Dabi, thank you so much for your time tonight.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Let's bring in Liberal Senator Alex Antick. He joins me
- 12:05Speaker 3: from Canberra. Alex, Let's start with Anthony Albinezi assuring the
- 12:09Speaker 3: nation that we will get through this fuel crisis, and
- 12:12Speaker 3: a meeting with state leaders. The PM has discussed a
- 12:15Speaker 3: range of measures, including working from home, car pooling and
- 12:19Speaker 3: increasing the use of public transport, and he announced that
- 12:22Speaker 3: the fuel excise will be halved and a reduction in
- 12:26Speaker 3: the road user charge.
- 12:28Speaker 7: The plan outlined how governments will work together to keep
- 12:31Speaker 7: Australia open and to keep our economy going. Early voluntary action,
- 12:36Speaker 7: coupled with new supply measures will make a difference and
- 12:40Speaker 7: make sure that fuel continues to get to those who
- 12:44Speaker 7: need it most. Our approach is determined by four levels
- 12:49Speaker 7: of action. One plan and prepare to keeping Australia moving,
- 12:54Speaker 7: which is where we are at the moment. Three taking
- 12:57Speaker 7: targeted action and for protecting critical services for all Australians.
- 13:02Speaker 7: We're making fuel cheaper today because we understand that Australians
- 13:07Speaker 7: are under serious pressure.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Well, halving the fuel excise for three months, that is
- 13:14Speaker 3: going to lower the price of petrol by about twenty
- 13:16Speaker 3: six cents per liter. But Alex, is this the best
- 13:19Speaker 3: we can expect from our leaders? These are band aid
- 13:23Speaker 3: measures at best.
- 13:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I mean, as I was sitting there listening and I
- 13:28Speaker 1: heard that news earlier today, I was thinking about the boy,
- 13:31Speaker 1: you know, putting his finger in the dyke, trying to
- 13:34Speaker 1: fix the problems in the bursting of the dam, you know,
- 13:36Speaker 1: and it sort of does feel like that a little bit.
- 13:38Speaker 1: I mean, look, there's a couple of things I'd say
- 13:40Speaker 1: about this. The first one is it is extraordinary on
- 13:44Speaker 1: any measure that we are in this position full stop.
- 13:46Speaker 1: I mean, the fact that we even have to get
- 13:48Speaker 1: to this point where we're a long time ago bringing
- 13:50Speaker 1: in fuel rather than refining it here, that's the first
- 13:52Speaker 1: thing i'd say, So park that for a minute. The
- 13:55Speaker 1: second thing I'd say is, I don't know about you,
- 13:57Speaker 1: but I get this uneasy feeling of day javous about
- 14:01Speaker 1: what's happening out there at the moment with these overtures
- 14:04Speaker 1: that you know, we won't be rationing. There won't be
- 14:07Speaker 1: QR codes, you won't be locked in your homes. You know,
- 14:10Speaker 1: I don't like it. I've said for a long period
- 14:13Speaker 1: of time, during and after COVID that people will start
- 14:16Speaker 1: to understand what's going on out there in the world
- 14:18Speaker 1: when they go to the supermarket and they can only
- 14:20Speaker 1: buy one stake because they've had their quota for the week.
- 14:24Speaker 1: So I don't like where this is headed. And the
- 14:27Speaker 1: other thing I'd say about it is that the reality
- 14:31Speaker 1: here is there are lots of things that the government
- 14:33Speaker 1: could do in terms of reducing the overall cost of
- 14:36Speaker 1: living benefits. I mean, reducing the fuel excise for three months, well, okay, sure,
- 14:40Speaker 1: what about removing it entirely, or what about making you know,
- 14:44Speaker 1: the tax burden cheaper on this country so that other
- 14:47Speaker 1: costs come down. You know, even if we don't have
- 14:49Speaker 1: a fuel shortage and the end people are still paying
- 14:52Speaker 1: huge amounts that the bows are regardless. So you know,
- 14:55Speaker 1: this sort of these piecemeal attempts to try and trim
- 14:57Speaker 1: the edges on what is a broader institutional problem which
- 15:00Speaker 1: I might say has been caused by politics in this country,
- 15:04Speaker 1: is unsatisfactory.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Well, staying with the fuel crisis, and since two thousand,
- 15:11Speaker 3: Australia's oil and petroleum production has dropped significantly to the
- 15:15Speaker 3: point where we now import ninety percent of our liquid
- 15:19Speaker 3: fuel needs. And meanwhile we've got Australia importing fifty percent
- 15:23Speaker 3: from countries like Singapore, South Korea, thirty eight percent coming
- 15:27Speaker 3: from Malaysia, and Asia relies alex heavily on the Middle
- 15:32Speaker 3: East for its fuel imports, and the conflict in Iran,
- 15:35Speaker 3: as we know, is interrupted supply. These figures really are
- 15:40Speaker 3: an indictment on successive governments, not just the Aurban Easy government.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Is this crisis an opportunity now to reassess the direction
- 15:49Speaker 3: we've taken with energy in this country, with energy policy? Yeah?
- 15:55Speaker 1: Well, look, I mean I think you make a very
- 15:56Speaker 1: good point there in the sense that if one good
- 15:58Speaker 1: thing comes from this terrible crisis, I think it's to
- 16:01Speaker 1: burst the bubble on what we've been doing for the
- 16:03Speaker 1: last twenty five years in this country. You're absolutely right.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I mean, at the moment, most of the blame lies
- 16:08Speaker 1: on successful labor governments and Greens cohorts that have gone
- 16:13Speaker 1: with them. But you know, my side of politics cannot
- 16:15Speaker 1: run from this. I mean, you know you go back
- 16:17Speaker 1: twenty five years and it was a liberal government the
- 16:19Speaker 1: first set targets for Kyoto, and I'm sorry, you know,
- 16:22Speaker 1: we haven't been strong enough on this. We have allowed
- 16:25Speaker 1: ourselves to acquiesce on things like net zero later on,
- 16:28Speaker 1: and of course the Paris Agreement, which was another thing
- 16:30Speaker 1: that was signed by a liberal government. So you know,
- 16:33Speaker 1: I do think it's a bit rich for us, you know,
- 16:36Speaker 1: to just sort of wash our hands at this. We
- 16:37Speaker 1: have to be strong. This is one of the reasons
- 16:39Speaker 1: why one nation are polling so well. They are taking
- 16:43Speaker 1: that ground. People understand in this country that you may
- 16:46Speaker 1: have views on whether or not the Earth is heating up.
- 16:48Speaker 1: You may think that that little hoax is real, I don't.
- 16:52Speaker 1: You may then think that Australians can do something about it.
- 16:55Speaker 1: At one point two percent of the world's emissions in
- 16:58Speaker 1: any event, I certainly don't think that. I don't think
- 17:00Speaker 1: that stands any intellectual rigor. But ultimately we've got to
- 17:03Speaker 1: be able to feed ourselves and drive and bring building
- 17:06Speaker 1: materials in. So what's the priority here and why is
- 17:09Speaker 1: it that politics isn't toughening up on this? And that
- 17:11Speaker 1: applies to my side of the coin as.
- 17:13Speaker 3: Well, now before you go, I want to get your
- 17:17Speaker 3: thoughts on the more Deeming scandal here in Victoria. She
- 17:21Speaker 3: must be the most mistreated MP in the country. After
- 17:24Speaker 3: everything she endured. She was dumped from the Liberal Party's
- 17:28Speaker 3: Upper House ticket for the state election here in Victoria
- 17:31Speaker 3: coming up in November, and things have gone from bad
- 17:34Speaker 3: to worse for the happless Victorian Libs, with the man
- 17:37Speaker 3: who ousted Moiro Deeming, Dinesh Garrossetti Forster withdraw his candacy
- 17:42Speaker 3: after it was revealed that he provided a character reference
- 17:45Speaker 3: for a now convicted child sex offend alex It reads
- 17:49Speaker 3: like some sort of a drama. It's so ridiculous. It
- 17:53Speaker 3: almost seems like the Victorian Libs are determined to keep
- 17:56Speaker 3: labor in power in this state.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I mean, I'm sure that's not the case.
- 18:03Speaker 1: But what I would say is, you know, I've got
- 18:05Speaker 1: to know Moura really well over the last few years,
- 18:07Speaker 1: and she's just a terrific person. She's a strong, courageous,
- 18:10Speaker 1: principled person, and she's a great MP. And you know,
- 18:13Speaker 1: I mean, the more time I spend to this building,
- 18:16Speaker 1: the more I hear from all sides of politics how
- 18:19Speaker 1: much we need women in politics, and you know how
- 18:21Speaker 1: much we need you know, strong convicted people of conviction
- 18:26Speaker 1: in this building. And yet when it comes to conservative politicians,
- 18:29Speaker 1: female politicians, those rules don't seem to apply. So quite
- 18:32Speaker 1: how it is that the Liberal Party, the division of
- 18:35Speaker 1: the Victorian Division of the Liberal Party, has allowed Moya
- 18:37Speaker 1: to slip through their fingers in this manner, is anyone's guess.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I think it's a terrible shame and a terrible tragedy.
- 18:44Speaker 1: And you know, look, I just think that politics is
- 18:48Speaker 1: going to have to start taking stock of people who
- 18:51Speaker 1: know how to fight. We need fighters in parliament, state, federal,
- 18:54Speaker 1: in our territories, wherever it may be. And Moira is
- 18:57Speaker 1: one of those people. She's a fighter, and she she's
- 19:00Speaker 1: a great loss.
- 19:02Speaker 3: And unlike many of the fighters within the coalition coalition ranks,
- 19:08Speaker 3: she actually fights the other side. She actually engages in
- 19:12Speaker 3: ideological battles with Labor and the Greens. You would think
- 19:15Speaker 3: you would want those sorts of people in your camp.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Alex Antick. Now, last time we spoke, you made a
- 19:22Speaker 3: off the cough comment about you know, moving to one nation.
- 19:26Speaker 3: You asked the question, you said, not yet, any further
- 19:30Speaker 3: thoughts on that position. Are you happy with the Liberals?
- 19:36Speaker 1: Well, well I should say not yet, of course.
- 19:38Speaker 8: No.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Look I think look, I'm you know, I think we've
- 19:42Speaker 1: had a terrible last few weeks in South Australia. But
- 19:46Speaker 1: you know, sometimes it's always darkest for the dawn. And
- 19:48Speaker 1: I mean I'm a liberal through and through, have been forever.
- 19:52Speaker 1: And you know, I don't have any plans. I've never
- 19:54Speaker 1: really spoken to anyone about it. Honestly. Cory's one of
- 19:57Speaker 1: my good friends and we talk all the time. And
- 20:00Speaker 1: of course, as I said, he dragged me through the
- 20:02Speaker 1: indignation of forcing me to order low car beers and
- 20:05Speaker 1: on that time, and we had we had a chat.
- 20:06Speaker 1: But other than that, there's there's really not much, not
- 20:09Speaker 1: much to it. But you know, I mean as I've said,
- 20:11Speaker 1: and I don't shy away from it despite what others say.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I make the same observation about Pauline. You know, she
- 20:16Speaker 1: is a strong you know, we don't we want more
- 20:18Speaker 1: of these people in politics, So I've always said, I
- 20:20Speaker 1: haven't read for it.
- 20:23Speaker 3: We want strong people in politics from both both genders.
- 20:27Speaker 3: At Senator Alexandrik, thank you for your time stealing Harmer
- 20:31Speaker 3: lefties losing ed class. We'll have the latest from the US,
- 20:35Speaker 3: including the No King's protest over the weekend. Josh Hammer
- 20:40Speaker 3: is up the last you're watching the reader Pane his show,
- 20:53Speaker 3: and it's time for lefties losing a Let's start with
- 20:56Speaker 3: feral lefties abusing hard working ICE agents, calling these men
- 21:01Speaker 3: of color foot soldiers of a fascist regime. The reaction
- 21:05Speaker 3: from the agents is perfect.
- 21:08Speaker 9: No thoughts, You guys are the foot soldiers of a
- 21:11Speaker 9: fascist regime?
- 21:13Speaker 10: Right?
- 21:13Speaker 11: Is that not what it is?
- 21:16Speaker 9: Is that funny?
- 21:18Speaker 10: Is that funny?
- 21:22Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 21:22Speaker 3: It is pretty funny because you're ridiculous. And have you
- 21:26Speaker 3: noticed that ICE agents tend to be far more diverse
- 21:29Speaker 3: than the lefty losers abusing them, who are almost always white? Interesting,
- 21:35Speaker 3: isn't it. Now let's check in on some of the
- 21:37Speaker 3: celebrities taking part Impossibly the dumbest protest ever take place,
- 21:42Speaker 3: the No King rallies. Guys, if you actually lived in
- 21:45Speaker 3: the fascist dictatorship that you think you live in, well
- 21:49Speaker 3: you wouldn't be able to have rallies. You'd be gunned
- 21:51Speaker 3: down in the streets like protesters in Iran. Something lost
- 21:55Speaker 3: on the likes of actress Jane Fonda and former MSNBC
- 22:00Speaker 3: is joy read.
- 22:01Speaker 12: Bring five routes, bring people who haven't gone to protest
- 22:05Speaker 12: helfore No Kings is like a first step, you know,
- 22:09Speaker 12: it's like reaching out a hand that's saying God, there's something.
- 22:13Speaker 13: Everybody's here.
- 22:14Speaker 12: You'll have one.
- 22:15Speaker 14: You'll be people, and you can protest and look you
- 22:18Speaker 14: while doing it and get out there.
- 22:20Speaker 3: And no Kings arrived with five.
- 22:22Speaker 10: Don't go anywhere alone in these autocratic streets.
- 22:26Speaker 3: Yep, the lefties did bring their friends and they were
- 22:29Speaker 3: waving Hezbola flags and her Mass flags and even the
- 22:34Speaker 3: Hammering Sickle flags were flying high in the streets of
- 22:38Speaker 3: New York. You know, that's the symbol of genuine oppression
- 22:41Speaker 3: that has been responsible for tens of millions of deaths
- 22:45Speaker 3: around the world. But back to the nincompoops, Elebs and
- 22:57Speaker 3: Jane Fonda was back, this time with fellow aging star
- 23:00Speaker 3: Bruce Springsteen. You know, these people are too old to
- 23:05Speaker 3: be this stupid.
- 23:07Speaker 13: Guess where we are, Guess who's there?
- 23:10Speaker 3: No Kings do it talking about being too old to
- 23:15Speaker 3: be this stupid. Leading the New York rally was Robert
- 23:19Speaker 3: de Niro. There is holding a banner alongside Attorney General
- 23:22Speaker 3: Letitian James and Reverend Al Sharpton, and sadly, Robert de
- 23:27Speaker 3: Niro decided to give a speech. Now. In the past
- 23:31Speaker 3: he has embarrassed himself trying to speak off the cuff,
- 23:34Speaker 3: So this time he wrote a speech. It didn't go well.
- 23:39Speaker 11: How can this be happening? Look at the power of
- 23:42Speaker 11: the No Kings National Uprising. Look at the power of
- 23:48Speaker 11: the No Kings National Uprising. Afraid of Trump? Please? No,
- 23:54Speaker 11: they should be more afraid of us?
- 23:57Speaker 3: Right, Okay, let's give him another guard. He is an actor.
- 24:03Speaker 3: He should be able to write from a script.
- 24:06Speaker 4: Tested the constitutional limits of their power. But none have
- 24:11Speaker 4: been such an existential threat to our freedoms and security,
- 24:15Speaker 4: none except Trump. He must be stopped, and he must
- 24:22Speaker 4: be stopped now. And that's what No Kings is all about,
- 24:27Speaker 4: because he can't do all the things that he's been
- 24:30Speaker 4: doing without the collusion of Congress and the goons in
- 24:34Speaker 4: his administration.
- 24:37Speaker 3: This guy is railing against democracy. Sounds a little bit
- 24:42Speaker 3: insurrectiony to me. He would be dangerous if he wasn't
- 24:46Speaker 3: such an unseerious clown.
- 24:49Speaker 4: It's diabolical. Afraid of Trump? Please no, they should be
- 24:55Speaker 4: more afraid of us. Yes, because we still believe in
- 24:59Speaker 4: the cour more American values of justice, equality, decency, and kindness.
- 25:06Speaker 3: Just zero self awareness from that guy. What a way
- 25:10Speaker 3: to destroy your legacy by showing what a delusional, hateful
- 25:13Speaker 3: dem wit you are when you were once known simply
- 25:16Speaker 3: as a great actor. Now why are they marching? Because
- 25:21Speaker 3: they're crazy, hysterical and dangerously misinformed. In other words, their
- 25:26Speaker 3: left is losing, and this woman is convinced that there
- 25:30Speaker 3: are death camps on American soil. Seriously, no death camps
- 25:36Speaker 3: on American sile, that's what you're saying. No death camps
- 25:42Speaker 3: on an American style.
- 25:44Speaker 2: No cats, no death cats.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Okay, so that's right here, protest with them.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Yeah, cut.
- 25:52Speaker 10: Those camps, our death camps.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Camps are raping.
- 25:59Speaker 13: They do.
- 26:02Speaker 3: So they can sell the little tussies and smugget So.
- 26:08Speaker 9: Where are these camps at.
- 26:10Speaker 12: H They looked du of Florida, the Florida, the Keys.
- 26:22Speaker 3: I was just in the Florida Keys. Didn't see any
- 26:25Speaker 3: death camps. Plenty of cocktails, tourists, roosters walking around. But
- 26:30Speaker 3: back to our celebs, and it's not just your A
- 26:33Speaker 3: listers joining these pathetic gatherings. The dalisters are there too.
- 26:37Speaker 3: They were all part of this No King's movement, and
- 26:41Speaker 3: that includes soap actress and failed Real Housewives of Beverly
- 26:44Speaker 3: Hills cast member Eileen Davidson, who has been scared for
- 26:49Speaker 3: the past ten years, well except for the few years
- 26:51Speaker 3: where Biden was in charge.
- 26:54Speaker 8: I have been feeling really scared. Uh actually for like
- 26:59Speaker 8: the last ten years. I get my drift on and off,
- 27:01Speaker 8: but especially right now. There's a lot of weird things
- 27:05Speaker 8: going on. This war and I ran that nobody voted for,
- 27:07Speaker 8: and yet here we are at war. I mean, how
- 27:10Speaker 8: the stuff with the TSA, God bless them, Minneapolis, the
- 27:16Speaker 8: killings there, Epstein files, The list's endless, and that's why
- 27:20Speaker 8: it's so scary, right, It just seems like you can't
- 27:23Speaker 8: see the light of day.
- 27:24Speaker 3: And the dailists se libs aren't just taking part in
- 27:27Speaker 3: No King's rallies bragging about being annoying Karen's harassing Ice agents.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Here is Busy Phillips explaining Ice was in her neighborhood,
- 27:38Speaker 3: on her street. She was so scared.
- 27:41Speaker 13: I was in my neighborhood, an apartment building on my street,
- 27:45Speaker 13: and I just stood there and was annoying, Like I
- 27:48Speaker 13: was just an annoying white woman, and then they.
- 27:50Speaker 15: I went into the front. I was just like, what
- 27:53Speaker 15: are you doing? Why are you just standing there waiting
- 27:56Speaker 15: at the door. I have a daughter, I'm a single mother.
- 27:59Speaker 15: I can't and I just was like annoying them.
- 28:03Speaker 13: Yes, and the guy. They weren't talking to me. They
- 28:05Speaker 13: were like covert faces. They're like, ma'am. And I was like,
- 28:08Speaker 13: you guys don't seem like police. I don't know what's
- 28:10Speaker 13: going on. This is scary. I feel scared.
- 28:13Speaker 3: The reverse Karen is such a gift to our society
- 28:17Speaker 3: right now. Yeah, joining me now is Newsweek Senior editor
- 28:20Speaker 3: at Large, Josh Hammer. Josh, what can you say about that?
- 28:25Speaker 3: But they don't be about these nationwide no kings protest.
- 28:30Speaker 3: What were they primarily against? Is the war against the
- 28:33Speaker 3: Iranian regime? Against ice or everything Trump?
- 28:39Speaker 2: Yeah, well, Rita, no one really knows. That's kind of
- 28:41Speaker 2: the whole problem, isn't it.
- 28:42Speaker 16: I mean, these people are just doing the whole performative
- 28:44Speaker 16: outreach thing for the entire purpose of being performatively outraged.
- 28:47Speaker 16: They're doing it because they it's kind of cathartic for them. Frankly,
- 28:51Speaker 16: they really have no principles, no values. They probably have
- 28:55Speaker 16: no social life, probably have no personal life. Frankly, they
- 28:57Speaker 16: probably have no spiritual life. They really have no life, perio,
- 28:59Speaker 16: because they're just a bunch of flaming, stinking losers. And
- 29:01Speaker 16: this is basically their way of making them feel self
- 29:04Speaker 16: entitled and ultimately go to sleep. And I'm thinking that
- 29:06Speaker 16: they have shown it to the man, because, as you
- 29:09Speaker 16: correctly point out, I actually could not tell you. I
- 29:12Speaker 16: think some of these people think they're protesting ICE. I'm
- 29:15Speaker 16: sure some think they're protesting the top lank of the
- 29:18Speaker 16: Ayatollah kammey Nee. I mean inserts your left has caused
- 29:23Speaker 16: the day, and I guess that's essentially what it is.
- 29:26Speaker 16: I mean when it comes to ICE, in particular with
- 29:28Speaker 16: this self anointed Karen that we just saw in this
- 29:31Speaker 16: utterly heinous video. You know, ICE is just a law
- 29:35Speaker 16: enforcement agency. This is something that is so easily lost
- 29:38Speaker 16: in the conversation. The ICE exists for literally one purpose,
- 29:42Speaker 16: to enforce this nation's immigration laws. If you don't like
- 29:46Speaker 16: If you don't like this nation's immigration laws, readA. There
- 29:48Speaker 16: was a very straightforward process in this constitutional structure here
- 29:52Speaker 16: in the United States to change this nation's immigration laws.
- 29:54Speaker 16: You lobby your member of Congress. Congress write the law.
- 29:57Speaker 16: Ice is just enforcing the law. So the constitutional law
- 30:02Speaker 16: guy in me sees this, I mean holding aside the
- 30:04Speaker 16: inherent virtue of deporting legal lands, which I would defend
- 30:06Speaker 16: until the day I die. But the constitutional law guy
- 30:09Speaker 16: means sees it is like you're getting angry at the
- 30:11Speaker 16: wrong people there taking If you actually are upset, call
- 30:14Speaker 16: your congressman, like you actually just lobby the phone nubers
- 30:18Speaker 16: a public. Literally call your congressman and say I want
- 30:20Speaker 16: to change immigration for and that would actually, in theory,
- 30:22Speaker 16: be a better use of your time than whatever the
- 30:24Speaker 16: heck these no kings it us to do it.
- 30:27Speaker 11: Well.
- 30:28Speaker 3: It was a mismatch of different groups. I saw hammer
- 30:32Speaker 3: and sickle flags. I think that was in New York
- 30:34Speaker 3: City that were hes blah flags mass. I mean just
- 30:37Speaker 3: about every deplorable segment of society seemed to be converging
- 30:43Speaker 3: to protest against supposed King Trump. And again, if these
- 30:48Speaker 3: people really genuinely believe they live under a dictator sheep,
- 30:51Speaker 3: guess what, you wouldn't be protesting like that because you'd
- 30:54Speaker 3: be gunned down. That's what happens in a dictator sheep.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Like what happens in countries like Iran. But I'm interested.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Are these protests organic at least? Or are they well
- 31:05Speaker 3: funded and organized with the same sort of shady groups,
- 31:09Speaker 3: the sous linked groups that we've seen in the past.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Oh, they are all but as surely not organic.
- 31:16Speaker 16: There's all sorts of new studies on this, actually so
- 31:19Speaker 16: in real time. Actually, Fox news dot Com, to the
- 31:21Speaker 16: great credit, have had They've now done a series of
- 31:23Speaker 16: investigator reports talking about the extent to which foreign especially
- 31:27Speaker 16: Chinese Communist Party adjacent to or Chinese Communist Party funded
- 31:31Speaker 16: information operation groups are operating in the interior. The man there,
- 31:34Speaker 16: who is the singular hub of the hub and spoke
- 31:37Speaker 16: model is an American born tech tycoon who now lives
- 31:41Speaker 16: in Shanghai. Is very close to the Chinese Commuist Party.
- 31:43Speaker 16: Remember the name of Neville Roy Singham. He is the
- 31:46Speaker 16: ultra hinde worth funder of a lot of subversive causes,
- 31:50Speaker 16: including Code Pink. The notorious quote unquote anti war group
- 31:53Speaker 16: is really just an anti American, anti Western group frankly,
- 31:56Speaker 16: and they're also the funders of a group called the
- 31:58Speaker 16: People's Forum. The People's Four were the ones Rita who
- 32:01Speaker 16: are out there within hours, literally frankly, within minutes of
- 32:04Speaker 16: the capture of Nicholas Maduro in Venezuela this past January.
- 32:07Speaker 16: Also simultaneously out within minutes, out within minutes of the
- 32:11Speaker 16: assassination of Ayatola Komny towards the end of February. There,
- 32:14Speaker 16: it's all funded by this guy, Neville Singham, who was
- 32:16Speaker 16: essentially a Chinese Communist Party plant, So that's happening on
- 32:20Speaker 16: the one hand.
- 32:20Speaker 2: On the other hand, there are a lot of the
- 32:22Speaker 2: usual suspects.
- 32:23Speaker 16: There's a Soros network, there's a Ties Foundation, there's all
- 32:26Speaker 16: sorts of other leftist dark money. So very little of
- 32:28Speaker 16: this actually is organifact. It was another news study from
- 32:31Speaker 16: a great group out of New Jersey called NCRI, the
- 32:34Speaker 16: Network Contagion Research Institute. There they were talking about actually
- 32:37Speaker 16: Iranian information operations, so Iranian State Television Press TV actually
- 32:43Speaker 16: works through American organizations as well to kind of disseminate
- 32:46Speaker 16: the message there. So there's a lot of foreign information,
- 32:49Speaker 16: a lot of foreign funding that results in things like
- 32:51Speaker 16: the so called No King's Rally there. I'm sure that
- 32:54Speaker 16: some of these idiots are just getting out there because
- 32:56Speaker 16: it's just word of mouth and they're on some WhatsApp
- 32:58Speaker 16: chat would have there, but a higher level rita very
- 33:01Speaker 16: very little. This is organic and it's coming from fundamentally
- 33:05Speaker 16: shady and Frankie also fundamentally anti American organizations individuals.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Now you spoke at say PAC which was in Dallas
- 33:13Speaker 3: this year, and there was a man who also spoke
- 33:16Speaker 3: at sa PAC. We many hope will lead a free Iran.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Prince Reza Pelavi. This is how he ended his speech
- 33:24Speaker 3: to a room full of Iranian expats.
- 33:27Speaker 9: Other than Trump is making America great again, I intend
- 33:32Speaker 9: to make Iran great again. So together with my brave compatriots,
- 33:56Speaker 9: that is exactly what we will do. Thank you God,
- 34:00Speaker 9: bless America and lovely Yon.
- 34:06Speaker 3: Josh, tell me about how the issue of Iran was
- 34:08Speaker 3: handled during Saypack and how much this war is hurting
- 34:13Speaker 3: President Trump domestically. Do you see the US exiting this
- 34:18Speaker 3: conflict in a matter of days or weeks or could
- 34:21Speaker 3: it be months?
- 34:23Speaker 2: So first of all, Rea, let me just talk a
- 34:24Speaker 2: little bit about the conference itself. So I do speak.
- 34:26Speaker 2: I'm not very same sage. We just saw. They're from
- 34:28Speaker 2: Raza Palabi.
- 34:30Speaker 16: When I left the conference on I guess the day
- 34:32Speaker 16: I spoke on Thursday, I met someone for lunch and
- 34:35Speaker 16: I came back earlier for in a few hours before
- 34:36Speaker 16: my speech, you see throngs of people, and my friends
- 34:40Speaker 16: said to me, are these protesters? And I said, let's
- 34:43Speaker 16: drive off. Let's see, and we get closer. We see
- 34:45Speaker 16: they're not protesters. There are a ton of Persians. There
- 34:48Speaker 16: was a massive, massive Persian presence at this conference. There
- 34:52Speaker 16: were all these US flags with Israel flags, with the
- 34:54Speaker 16: old Iranian flag, the flag from before the as Long
- 34:58Speaker 16: Revolution of the old Shah regime. These photos of Razza
- 35:01Speaker 16: Pallavi with with Trump. Even during my own speech there
- 35:04Speaker 16: I saw in the back of the room the the
- 35:06Speaker 16: waving of the old pre nineteen seventy nine Persian flag.
- 35:09Speaker 16: So I don't know exactly how there was this gargantuan
- 35:13Speaker 16: Persian presence at this conference. To my knowledge, reader, there's
- 35:16Speaker 16: not a massive Persian diaspora population in Dallas, for worth.
- 35:19Speaker 16: In America, the largest person diasper populations are Los Angeles
- 35:22Speaker 16: and Long Islands, especially in Great Neck, New York. So
- 35:25Speaker 16: I don't know if they travel for this there, but
- 35:27Speaker 16: it was genuinely impressive. As someone who speaks a lot
- 35:29Speaker 16: of conferences there, I was really kind of in awe
- 35:32Speaker 16: at the ability of the Persian people in United States
- 35:34Speaker 16: who show up for this conference. So a lot of
- 35:36Speaker 16: that we just saw there in that brief clip of
- 35:39Speaker 16: the of the exiled Crown Prince. Now, as far as
- 35:41Speaker 16: the actual issue of Iran, at this conference, there were
- 35:44Speaker 16: a couple of people who gave their their hardcore anti
- 35:48Speaker 16: war and spick shtick excuse me, their spiel. We had
- 35:52Speaker 16: Matt Gates, we had Steve Bann and a couple of
- 35:54Speaker 16: people at that there. But we have straw poles rita
- 35:56Speaker 16: on this topic there, and the straw poles show that
- 35:59Speaker 16: the overwhelming majority of people there at seatpap by something
- 36:02Speaker 16: like an eighty five to fifteen or ninety ten margin,
- 36:05Speaker 16: supports Donald Trump, taking out commenting that this is not
- 36:08Speaker 16: a close issue and this is just one of those
- 36:10Speaker 16: many things where there's so much data on this showing
- 36:13Speaker 16: that this narrative of a Maga civil war when it
- 36:16Speaker 16: comes to Iran, there it just doesn't hold up. Republicans.
- 36:20Speaker 16: Trump supporters are overwhelmingly supportive of what has happened thus
- 36:24Speaker 16: far in Iran. Now, I do caveat a little bit
- 36:26Speaker 16: and say thus far because there is this open question
- 36:28Speaker 16: as as to what exactly comes next and how long
- 36:30Speaker 16: this is going to go on. I do not think
- 36:32Speaker 16: that Donald Trump is There's no chance he's going to
- 36:34Speaker 16: put a sustained ground operation in place. You're not going
- 36:37Speaker 16: to see US forces marching from the Persian Gulf unto Tehran.
- 36:40Speaker 2: That is simply not going to happen.
- 36:41Speaker 16: Then, now there are all sorts of rumors of up
- 36:43Speaker 16: to potentially ten thousand additional marines and the eighty second Airborne,
- 36:47Speaker 16: various other infantry potentially headed to the region. I think
- 36:50Speaker 16: the most that you could see is a concerted effort
- 36:52Speaker 16: to take carg Island and various other strategic islands there
- 36:55Speaker 16: near the Straight of hor Moves. You're not going to
- 36:57Speaker 16: see a full scale land invasion ultimate readA. My stance
- 37:00Speaker 16: on this since day one has been pretty clear to me.
- 37:03Speaker 16: The objectives of Operation Epic Fury from an American perspective
- 37:06Speaker 16: are quite clear, which is that we want to see
- 37:08Speaker 16: the neutralization of the Islama Republic of Iron as a
- 37:11Speaker 16: threat to the United States and our interests Objectively. That
- 37:14Speaker 16: goal has unfortunately not quite been met yet. It's been
- 37:18Speaker 16: an a staggerantly successful operation thus far. No doubt about that,
- 37:22Speaker 16: but Iron is still launching missiles. They're still launching drones
- 37:25Speaker 16: that they fired two and a half thousand miles at
- 37:27Speaker 16: Diego Garcia, the joint American British military base in the
- 37:30Speaker 16: Indian Ocean, just last weekend. So they're still firing. So
- 37:32Speaker 16: unless until their arsenal is truly depleted and they are
- 37:35Speaker 16: genuinely truly not a threat, the enrich ERANEU missecured. But
- 37:39Speaker 16: there are various things that haven't quite been done yet.
- 37:41Speaker 16: Unless until it happens there, I think Trump's going to
- 37:43Speaker 16: continue to push this thing full speed ahead.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Now. Donald Trump was asked by The Five on Fox
- 37:51Speaker 3: News about the rumors of the new Ietola being gay.
- 37:55Speaker 3: Have a listen.
- 37:57Speaker 12: Did the CIA tell you that Iotol Junior's gay?
- 38:02Speaker 15: Well, they did say that, but I don't know if
- 38:04Speaker 15: it was only them, but I think a lot.
- 38:05Speaker 17: Of people are saying that, which puts them off to
- 38:08Speaker 17: a bad start in that particular country.
- 38:13Speaker 3: In that particular country, of course, homosexuality is illegal in Iran.
- 38:18Speaker 3: Joshi also went on the President to note the absurdity
- 38:22Speaker 3: of these groups like Queers for Palestine and that struck
- 38:28Speaker 3: me too during these No Kings march as we saw
- 38:30Speaker 3: over the weekend, we've had all the feminists the Handmaid's
- 38:35Speaker 3: Tail performance that they put on. They are marching for
- 38:40Speaker 3: the regime that actually does that to women, that actually
- 38:44Speaker 3: systematically subjugates women, beats them, imprisons them, sometimes even kills
- 38:50Speaker 3: them for not covering their hair. They're not equal under
- 38:54Speaker 3: the law. And yet we've got people marching against the
- 38:58Speaker 3: Iranian regime being decimated.
- 39:02Speaker 16: You know read I've been following this issue for very
- 39:04Speaker 16: long times, as I know you have as well. And
- 39:06Speaker 16: I remember when the former president mahmuna Achmadenjod was invited
- 39:10Speaker 16: by Columbia University, the Ivy League school in New York State,
- 39:13Speaker 16: to speak. This is roughly two decades ago, highly highly controversial,
- 39:17Speaker 16: I would say, evil decision by Columba University. And at
- 39:19Speaker 16: the time, some students Interlock leader asked Akman Jinjod about
- 39:23Speaker 16: homosexuality and homosexuals in Iran, to which he said, we
- 39:28Speaker 16: have none of them here. There are no homosexuals in Iran.
- 39:31Speaker 16: Is It's what he said, And I can't help but
- 39:33Speaker 16: think about what he would have said if he knew
- 39:36Speaker 16: that the next Ayatola would allegedly be gay. It's just
- 39:39Speaker 16: one of those very funny quirks of history you can't
- 39:42Speaker 16: help but laugh frankly when you think about it. I
- 39:44Speaker 16: think the more relevant question about about come Any the
- 39:48Speaker 16: second little junior, is is he still alive?
- 39:51Speaker 2: We actually have not seen him.
- 39:53Speaker 16: He's apparently at least in a coma, he's at least
- 39:57Speaker 16: severely wounded, possibly even had a lake amputay there. So
- 40:00Speaker 16: there's a lot of details left to be filled in
- 40:03Speaker 16: when it comes to that particular thing. But to your
- 40:05Speaker 16: broader point here, this whole thing of queers for Palestine,
- 40:07Speaker 16: queers for Iran, I mean, you might as well just
- 40:09Speaker 16: be chickens for chick fil a. I mean, like, what
- 40:11Speaker 16: exactly are you are?
- 40:12Speaker 4: You?
- 40:12Speaker 16: Are you claiming to do? But I mean read the
- 40:16Speaker 16: way that I can make it makes sense because I
- 40:18Speaker 16: always think back to the fact that the left has
- 40:20Speaker 16: had an insatiable appetite for political violence, going back at
- 40:24Speaker 16: least as far as the French Revolution nearly two and
- 40:27Speaker 16: a half centuries ago. The origins of the modern left,
- 40:29Speaker 16: whether it's the French Revolution, whether it's Marxism, whether it's
- 40:32Speaker 16: all the failed utopian schemes of the twentieth century, there
- 40:35Speaker 16: leftism here, there and everywhere leads to violence. And it's
- 40:39Speaker 16: the late great David Horwitz and famously said that inside
- 40:41Speaker 16: every progressive is a totalitarian waiting to scream out.
- 40:45Speaker 2: And you might not think that these.
- 40:47Speaker 16: Progressives that's very progressive to talk about shria law and
- 40:50Speaker 16: harsh theocraticismism, and it's really not. But it only makes
- 40:54Speaker 16: sense when you realize that inherent in the contemporary leftism
- 40:58Speaker 16: is this yearning, this thirst for violence. That's how I
- 41:01Speaker 16: make it makes sense.
- 41:01Speaker 3: At least, and it explains this unholy alliance. Helps explain
- 41:07Speaker 3: the unholy alliance between the modern left and Islamists. They
- 41:11Speaker 3: have a shared enemy, but they also seem to have
- 41:14Speaker 3: a tasteful political violence. Josh Hammah, thank you so much
- 41:17Speaker 3: for your time tonight.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Still to come is King Charles softening his stance with
- 41:23Speaker 3: Prodigal's son Prince Harry Kinsey Schofield has the details. Welcome back.
- 41:39Speaker 3: Let's go back to the no King's mass tantrum across
- 41:43Speaker 3: the US and one of our favorite aging rockers they
- 41:46Speaker 3: always Lefty losing at Miss Green, Bruce Springsteen had this
- 41:50Speaker 3: to say in Minneapolis.
- 41:52Speaker 17: Let's pass Runner, Federal truths brought death and tearor to
- 41:57Speaker 17: the streets of Minneapolis. They picked the wrong city, and
- 42:02Speaker 17: this reactionary nightmare and these invasions of American cities will
- 42:07Speaker 17: not stand. You gave us hope, You gave us courage.
- 42:13Speaker 17: And for those who gave their lives, Rene Good, mother
- 42:17Speaker 17: of three, brutally murdered, alex pretty v a nurse executed
- 42:23Speaker 17: by Ice, shot in the back and left to die
- 42:26Speaker 17: in the street without even the decency of our lawless
- 42:30Speaker 17: government investigating their deaths.
- 42:34Speaker 3: You know, all the left do is alive. Those two
- 42:37Speaker 3: agitators were not gunned down in cold blood like protesters
- 42:41Speaker 3: in Irana. They were captured on video attacking Ice agent.
- 42:46Speaker 3: One was armed with a loaded gun and the other
- 42:49Speaker 3: random officer with her car. Did Bruce forget to mention
- 42:52Speaker 3: that if aligned to a group of simpletons wasn't bad enough.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Bruce then sang and a warning here you're about to
- 43:00Speaker 3: hear is bloody awful.
- 43:07Speaker 17: See a flame for fire and ice. Nithanachi pars boots
- 43:15Speaker 17: King Trump's private army from the diageous.
- 43:21Speaker 3: Let's bring in the host of the Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered podcast, Kinsey.
- 43:27Speaker 3: There were a lot of celebrities, including Bruce Springsteen promoting
- 43:31Speaker 3: and taking part in this rally. Weren't they?
- 43:35Speaker 10: I think Bruce Springsteen and I have a different definition
- 43:38Speaker 10: when it comes to invasion of you know, the invading
- 43:41Speaker 10: of cities exactly. I mean, like, I don't think that
- 43:45Speaker 10: we have the same definition there. But it was the
- 43:48Speaker 10: usual suspects nationwide Andette Benning, Kathy Decapitation photo Griffin, Robert
- 43:54Speaker 10: de Niro, Jane Fonda. I know entertainers rarely prioritize education,
- 44:00Speaker 10: but we foind a Ward two hundred and fifty years
- 44:02Speaker 10: ago to reject monarchy. We're a constitutional republic, meaning the
- 44:06Speaker 10: head of state and head of government is an elected
- 44:09Speaker 10: president currently Donald Trump and leaders serve fixed terms and
- 44:14Speaker 10: can be replaced through elections.
- 44:16Speaker 3: We don't have a king, I mean we don't.
- 44:19Speaker 10: This looks silly, it looks ridiculous, and it looks like
- 44:23Speaker 10: a hissy fit. And I just want to think we're
- 44:26Speaker 10: smarter than this, But clearly we're not.
- 44:30Speaker 3: Mass hissy fit. But I think the great majority of
- 44:33Speaker 3: Americans are smarter. It's the usual suspects. It was the
- 44:37Speaker 3: same people marching for BLM, same people taking part in
- 44:41Speaker 3: climate change protest. It's the usual suspects. This is what
- 44:46Speaker 3: they do. They've just got different banners each time. Now
- 44:49Speaker 3: let's talk about signal or oils virgu signals. Now we've
- 44:54Speaker 3: got reports indicating Prince Harry is hopeful that he and
- 44:58Speaker 3: his family can be reunited in Norfolk this summer. He's
- 45:03Speaker 3: expecting the King to spend some family time with him
- 45:07Speaker 3: and Meghan and the kids. Kinsey, it's been more than
- 45:11Speaker 3: four years since Harry and Meghan's children have seen their grandfather.
- 45:17Speaker 3: Is it likely that he's going to be brought back
- 45:19Speaker 3: into the fold? Is the King going to welcome back
- 45:22Speaker 3: his prodigal son.
- 45:24Speaker 10: Well, nice transition there from virtue signalers to Harry and
- 45:27Speaker 10: Meghan speaking of celebrities that jump on any trend that
- 45:31Speaker 10: they think will make them look good.
- 45:33Speaker 3: Let's talk about Ariyan Meghan.
- 45:35Speaker 10: I mean, I think it was a little sinister about
- 45:37Speaker 10: this new piece is a Ravic security associate accusing Prince
- 45:42Speaker 10: Harry of using a meeting with his children basically as
- 45:45Speaker 10: extortion to try to secure automatic armed police protection in
- 45:49Speaker 10: the UK going forward. The source that everyone must be
- 45:52Speaker 10: horrified by any suggestion of using the King's grandchildren as
- 45:56Speaker 10: a former bargaining tool in that process. That's why I
- 45:59Speaker 10: don't believe Harry really wants to spend the summer in
- 46:02Speaker 10: standring him. I think he's just trying to manipulate his
- 46:05Speaker 10: way when it comes to that security. Ultimately, Rita, do
- 46:08Speaker 10: you really believe Prince Harry wants to spend time so
- 46:11Speaker 10: close to Uncle Andrew right now in Sandringham.
- 46:14Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I'm just not buying it. No, probably not.
- 46:19Speaker 3: But I think he's also losing that relevancy so to
- 46:23Speaker 3: be seen with the royals, to be seen with the
- 46:25Speaker 3: King and the future King. I don't know. I think
- 46:28Speaker 3: it lifts his standing from just being a bit of
- 46:30Speaker 3: a pest in California right now. Now, it's some big news.
- 46:34Speaker 3: Over the weekend, golf superstar Tiger Woods was arrested for
- 46:38Speaker 3: driving under the influence after he rolled his car in Florida.
- 46:41Speaker 3: It was deja voul over again. Page six is reporting
- 46:45Speaker 3: that his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump has given him a fierce
- 46:49Speaker 3: ultimatum after this latest misdemeanor, and insider close to the
- 46:53Speaker 3: couple told The Daily Mail she's not happy at all.
- 46:57Speaker 3: She's both disappointed and a little bit it pissed. If
- 47:01Speaker 3: I'm being honest, it's a definite red flag, and she
- 47:05Speaker 3: told him that he's going to get his get this
- 47:08Speaker 3: sorted out, and that she's going to require that kid's ill.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Thought Tiger had turned over a new leaf.
- 47:16Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean, we don't believe it was alcohol. He
- 47:19Speaker 10: refused the urine test at the police station, so some
- 47:22Speaker 10: suspect it could potentially have been prescription pillary related. Tiger
- 47:27Speaker 10: has numerous injuries to his body and often finds himself
- 47:31Speaker 10: in pain, but he's also a notorious menace when it
- 47:36Speaker 10: comes to driving. And it's not just Vanessa who's fed
- 47:39Speaker 10: up with Tiger's driving. Close friends or speaking out basically
- 47:42Speaker 10: saying he's fifty years old and he needs to grow up,
- 47:45Speaker 10: some of them telling People Magazine he's enabled by people
- 47:48Speaker 10: making money off of his talent and reputation, but with
- 47:51Speaker 10: his injuries in age, he is frustrated and depressed about
- 47:55Speaker 10: his state of health. He wants to play in major
- 47:57Speaker 10: tournaments like the Masters, but he needs to get real.
- 48:00Speaker 10: Once he does that, he should be better off because
- 48:03Speaker 10: people do like Tiger.
- 48:05Speaker 2: He's a good person.
- 48:08Speaker 3: Oh, he's beloved. I mean, he's a sporting legend, once
- 48:11Speaker 3: in a generation player, now singer, singing legend, Lionel Richie
- 48:16Speaker 3: has issued a reality check to Chapel, Roan and other
- 48:21Speaker 3: celebrities after Chapel's latest controversy making Jude Law's eleven year
- 48:26Speaker 3: old daughter cry. Now listen to this sage advice from Lionel.
- 48:32Speaker 14: The thing that happens a lot of times is I
- 48:34Speaker 14: tell people when they get into the business, there's one
- 48:37Speaker 14: thing you didn't calculate. I hope you like people. Yeah,
- 48:41Speaker 14: because if you don't like people, his how it's going
- 48:43Speaker 14: to sound. You spend the first half of your career
- 48:46Speaker 14: going look at me, look at me, look at me,
- 48:47Speaker 14: look at me, look at me, and then you finally
- 48:49Speaker 14: get famous. Don't look at me. Don't look at me,
- 48:51Speaker 14: don't look at me. Fun I'm going, okay, Now, what
- 48:54Speaker 14: did the universe gave you what you were asking for? Now?
- 48:58Speaker 14: What is that about people? You don't like? Or you
- 49:00Speaker 14: want to be famous and rich without the people? Doesn't
- 49:04Speaker 14: work like that. It doesn't work like that.
- 49:07Speaker 3: Kinsey finally a celebrity with some common sense and also
- 49:12Speaker 3: some much needed perspective. I mean, he absolutely spells it
- 49:16Speaker 3: out there. How do you hope to be famous doing
- 49:20Speaker 3: what you love without having attention on you constant attention.
- 49:25Speaker 10: Yeah, to quote the Pussycat Dolls, be careful what you
- 49:27Speaker 10: wish for, because you just might get it. If chaparal
- 49:30Speaker 10: Ron wants us to ignore her, I'd be happy to,
- 49:34Speaker 10: But she's going to watch her opportunities dry up along
- 49:37Speaker 10: with our interest.
- 49:39Speaker 3: Kincy Schofield, thank you so much for your time tonight,
- 49:41Speaker 3: and that's it for me. Newsnight is up next
