- 0:15Speaker 2: we were talking about things that we are sick of
- 0:18Speaker 2: seeing on social media during snowstorms, things that might trigger us.
- 0:21Speaker 2: And for a little bit, I thought it was just
- 0:23Speaker 2: you and I that might have felt a certain way
- 0:26Speaker 2: amen to that. And then the phone started ringing and
- 0:30Speaker 2: people started going off about the stuff that they see
- 0:34Speaker 2: during snowstorms and snow on social media, and I felt
- 0:38Speaker 2: better about things, and I felt like, you know what,
- 0:41Speaker 2: maybe we're not alone.
- 0:42Speaker 3: After the amount of calls we got, we are definitely
- 0:44Speaker 3: not alone.

- 0:49Speaker 5: I'm so over people completing that they have to go
- 0:51Speaker 5: into work after a snowstorm.
- 0:53Speaker 6: Get over it and go to work.
- 0:54Speaker 4: You know, things have to remain open.
- 0:56Speaker 5: Oh, and stop taking pictures of your cars dashboard.

- 1:29Speaker 5: I seem to be seeing a lot of people trying
- 1:32Speaker 5: to pretend that they shoveled other people out standing with
- 1:36Speaker 5: shovels when they obviously didn't do any of that shoveling.
- 1:39Speaker 5: That makes me mad because I saw someone do that
- 1:41Speaker 5: too where I shoveled, and I don't like that.
- 1:44Speaker 3: That has got to be frustrating you doing all the

- 4:39Speaker 3: all this week. But the one thing that kind of

- 4:45Speaker 6: And that's what you do.
- 4:46Speaker 2: And so it's ninety seven point one wash FM and
- 4:49Speaker 2: it's time now for your morning mindset for this Wednesday.

- 4:57Speaker 2: says to all of us that you can't build a
- 4:59Speaker 2: reputae on what you're going to do. Henry Ford, you
- 5:03Speaker 2: can't build a reputation on what you are going to do. Now,
- 5:07Speaker 2: why does this matter? Because intentions they don't define you.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Action does. Let this year be the year that you
- 5:15Speaker 2: focus on execution, because then you'll build that reputation you
- 5:20Speaker 2: want to have. Henry Ford, you can't build a reputation
- 5:22Speaker 2: on what you're going to do. Hopefully that helps. That
- 5:25Speaker 2: is your morning mindset for this Wednesday morning. And if
- 5:28Speaker 2: you've got some words that have inspired you, share them
- 5:31Speaker 2: with the class. Find me on the Toby and chillipage

- 6:20Speaker 3: I right, you are right, amen. And when it comes
- 6:24Speaker 3: to the snow, there are snow closings. And what I
- 6:26Speaker 3: absolutely love is the fact that in Montgomery County they're
- 6:30Speaker 3: superintendent Doctor Thomas Taylor decided to take it upon himself
- 6:35Speaker 3: to do a very funny and unusual and entertaining way
- 6:40Speaker 3: to deal with the snow closings. He took a page
- 6:44Speaker 3: from Doctor Dre and did a school closings rap.
- 6:48Speaker 6: We've got to hear this.
- 6:50Speaker 4: I'm at the four am check the radar screen phones
- 6:53Speaker 4: buz a cent.

- 7:09Speaker 6: the windows with pajamas songs.
- 7:10Speaker 4: So I grabbed my case.
- 7:12Speaker 6: Time to let them all know that.
- 7:13Speaker 4: The button's been pushing. And see yes, this clothes.
- 7:17Speaker 3: We out.
- 7:18Speaker 5: Now.
- 7:18Speaker 4: If you don't know Doctor Dre, he's a hip hop legend,
- 7:22Speaker 4: and I will say that the Montgomery County, Maryland school
- 7:26Speaker 4: superintendent is on his way to a new career as
- 7:30Speaker 4: a hip hop legend. He keeps on spitting mad rhymes
- 7:33Speaker 4: like this out there.
- 7:34Speaker 6: Kat Oh my gosh, you know what, Toby.
- 7:36Speaker 3: That was so brilliant that it's actually inspired me to
- 7:39Speaker 3: come up with my little rap.
- 7:40Speaker 6: Are you ready for this?
- 7:41Speaker 4: Oh? Lord, here we go, baby Hay.
- 7:45Speaker 6: All right, this is my wrapping debut. Yo. It's kat

- 11:23Speaker 2: wash FM. Valentine's Day right around the corner. At the
- 11:27Speaker 2: end of the week, it'll be February. That poses an
- 11:31Speaker 2: interesting question for the class. Do you get a Valentine's
- 11:34Speaker 2: Day card for a work spouse or a Valentine's get
- 11:37Speaker 2: for a work spouse. If you say yes, what would
- 11:40Speaker 2: your significant others say? If you say no, what would
- 11:44Speaker 2: your work spouse say? We'll discuss and of course you
- 11:49Speaker 2: have a seat at the table. We would love to
- 11:50Speaker 2: hear what you think about this at eight sixty six
- 11:52Speaker 2: nineteen seven forty three sixty one, or tap the talk
- 11:55Speaker 2: back microphone if you're signed in listening to your iHeart app.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Hit us up that way we will talk in minutes.
- 12:01Speaker 2: All right, a question for the class and our producer
- 12:04Speaker 2: Crash has joined us for this. Katie Harris is in
- 12:06Speaker 2: for chili. You are got Toby and Chili in the morning.
- 12:09Speaker 2: It's ninety seven point one watch FM and the numbers
- 12:11Speaker 2: eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one
- 12:14Speaker 2: just in case you have an opinion. If you don't
- 12:16Speaker 2: feel like dialing, you can tap the talk back microphone
- 12:19Speaker 2: if you're listening on your iHeart app. Do you get
- 12:21Speaker 2: a Valentine's Day card or gift for a work spouse?
- 12:25Speaker 4: Now?
- 12:26Speaker 2: A work spouse For those who are uninitiated, a work
- 12:30Speaker 2: spouse is like your work husband or wife. They're the
- 12:33Speaker 2: person you spend the most time with at work, y'all
- 12:36Speaker 2: have a special relationship, as it were, at the office.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Maybe that's saying a bit too much, Crash thoughts.
- 12:44Speaker 8: No, I would not get a work spouse of Valentine's
- 12:46Speaker 8: Day card.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Would you get busted by a significant other if you did?
- 12:50Speaker 8: Well, see, I'm the most romantic cat any of yous
- 12:52Speaker 8: have ever seen.
- 12:53Speaker 4: Oh for real though, for real, really, Valentine's.
- 12:57Speaker 8: Day's a big deal in my house, like we go
- 12:59Speaker 8: all really, it's almost as big as Christmas.
- 13:02Speaker 2: And so if you were to get a work spouse,
- 13:05Speaker 2: some sort of a Valentine something, that would compromise the
- 13:08Speaker 2: integrity and the sanctity of your Valentine's Day festivities with
- 13:14Speaker 2: your wonderful wife.
- 13:15Speaker 4: A little bit? Yeah, just a little bit, all right,
- 13:17Speaker 4: Crash has spoken, Now, Katie Harris, what do you say?
- 13:22Speaker 3: I initially, when when I started thinking about it, I
- 13:25Speaker 3: was like, you know, that's perfect. Valentine's Day is a
- 13:28Speaker 3: holiday of love, and it doesn't necessarily have to be
- 13:30Speaker 3: romantic love, but it's like spreading the love. Everyone's like happy,
- 13:33Speaker 3: it's a cheerful, happy holiday. And I was like, yeah,
- 13:36Speaker 3: I don't see any problem with it. And then I
- 13:37Speaker 3: started thinking about it. If I were on the other
- 13:40Speaker 3: on the other side of the spectrum, and some guy
- 13:42Speaker 3: that I was with was giving his work wife via
- 13:45Speaker 3: Valentine's card, yeah, I'd probably end up like hitting the roof.
- 13:48Speaker 4: What about you, Toby, I have no comment. My significant
- 13:51Speaker 4: other might be listening. She's not currently out of town
- 13:53Speaker 4: on a trip because of the inclement whether we've had
- 13:56Speaker 4: which canceled her said trip. And so I'm just gonna
- 13:59Speaker 4: sit here and go like this because I value my
- 14:03Speaker 4: life and I know that Valentine's Day is right around
- 14:06Speaker 4: the corner. Ooh, that was noncommittal.
- 14:08Speaker 6: I guess I'm you're trying to avoid a trip to
- 14:11Speaker 6: the HR.
- 14:12Speaker 4: To the emergency room that too.
- 14:14Speaker 2: So what do you think eight six, six nine seven
- 14:16Speaker 2: forty three sixty one? Do you get a Valentine's Card
- 14:19Speaker 2: for your work spouse? I would not because I like
- 14:21Speaker 2: my relationship too much. Feel free to jump in tap
- 14:24Speaker 2: the talk back microphone if that's easier, and you're signed
- 14:27Speaker 2: into your iheartup. We look forward to listening to what
- 14:30Speaker 2: you have to say in advance, and stay with Toby
- 14:32Speaker 2: and Chilly in the morning because coming up chances are
- 14:34Speaker 2: good you use some crutch phrases, you know what I mean? Yeah,
- 14:37Speaker 2: So what would that crutch phrase be? We'll dive into
- 14:40Speaker 2: this in minutes as Toby and Chilly in the Morning continues.
- 14:43Speaker 2: What is a crutch phrase? You always say? You know
- 14:47Speaker 2: what I'm talking about Toby and Chilly in the Morning.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Here at ninety seven point one, watch FM kat Harrison
- 14:52Speaker 2: for Chili you mar and our producer Crash joins us Crash,
- 14:55Speaker 2: is there a crudch phrase you always catch yourself saying?
- 14:59Speaker 4: And what do people think?
- 15:00Speaker 8: I've gotten out of the habit of doing it now,
- 15:02Speaker 8: but I went through a phase where I said, don't
- 15:04Speaker 8: judge me after everything.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Don't judge me, don't judge me, don't judge me. No, look,
- 15:10Speaker 4: don't don't judge.
- 15:11Speaker 6: Don't judge me. Don't don't judge me.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Hater.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Well, I hear you laughing over there, Katie. I'm not
- 15:16Speaker 2: judging you for laughing at crashes. Don't judge me grutch phrase?
- 15:19Speaker 2: But do you have one at the end of the day.
- 15:21Speaker 2: At the end of the day, I am so guilty
- 15:24Speaker 2: of saying that one. But the one, that one that
- 15:26Speaker 2: kills me, that my mom says to me all the time.
- 15:28Speaker 6: Did you hear me? Did you hear what I said?
- 15:30Speaker 6: Did you hear me? I can hear you say that all.
- 15:33Speaker 4: The time, and I'm like, oh, with her Filipino accident,
- 15:36Speaker 4: what about you, Toby m there's any number of them.
- 15:39Speaker 2: You know what I mean, you know what I mean?
- 15:41Speaker 2: And if I'm being honest, you know what I mean.
- 15:43Speaker 2: So it's probably one of those two. If I'm being honest,
- 15:45Speaker 2: you know what I mean? Or do you see what
- 15:47Speaker 2: I'm saying? So that's three. I just regurgitate those three.
- 15:51Speaker 6: At the end of the day, Toby, it's all good.
- 15:54Speaker 4: We won't judge you. Really. Is that how it is?
- 15:57Speaker 2: Eight six six ninety seven forty three sixty one on
- 16:00Speaker 2: in Poolesville?
- 16:01Speaker 4: Good morning, Crutch? Phrase what you got?
- 16:03Speaker 7: I replace words with the word singy.
- 16:05Speaker 1: So I get made fun of at work and at
- 16:08Speaker 1: home by my family because I say, where is that singy?
- 16:12Speaker 7: Or bring me that singy? Or constantly you're making fun
- 16:15Speaker 7: of me.
- 16:15Speaker 6: We're not making fun of you.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I get ahead of.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Myself, and so I just replaced the word I just
- 16:20Speaker 1: where is that singy?
- 16:21Speaker 2: Somewhere in Poolesville? With you, I'm sure we'll find that
- 16:25Speaker 2: thing either. Don thank you so much eight sixty six
- 16:27Speaker 2: ninety two seven forty three sixty one Crutch phrase, Rebecca
- 16:31Speaker 2: and Waldorf, what's got got?
- 16:32Speaker 8: A forward boss that said this all the time.
- 16:34Speaker 1: It was so annoying.
- 16:35Speaker 8: He would always say to be totally honest about once
- 16:38Speaker 8: in every conversation. You knew he probably wasn't being honest
- 16:41Speaker 8: because he had to say that.

- 22:26Speaker 4: Is it rude to wear air pods in public places
- 22:30Speaker 4: like the grocery store, maybe the gym perhaps possibly maybe
- 22:34Speaker 4: even the mall or wherever you might be shopping. Think
- 22:38Speaker 4: about it. What's the etiquette on that? Do you think
- 22:40Speaker 4: it's rude? Yes?
- 22:42Speaker 1: Or no?
- 22:43Speaker 2: Explain why I'm bringing it up and we'll talk more
- 22:45Speaker 2: about this in Minutes's Toby and Chilly in the Morning continues.
- 22:49Speaker 2: I asked this because I saw something interesting the other
- 22:51Speaker 2: day Toby and Chilly in the Morning. It's ninety seven
- 22:53Speaker 2: point one wash FM. I saw somebody out at a
- 22:57Speaker 2: grocery store picking up good that they needed to survive
- 23:01Speaker 2: the weather we've had over the last few days, and
- 23:04Speaker 2: she was walking around in the grocery store, and then
- 23:06Speaker 2: she went to check out and she had air pods in. Now,
- 23:09Speaker 2: I'm not gonna be any kind of person to tell
- 23:12Speaker 2: you what to do with your business, but really, how
- 23:15Speaker 2: are you paying attention to the cashier if you've got
- 23:17Speaker 2: your air pods? And and it got me wondering is
- 23:21Speaker 2: it rude to wear air pods or some kind of
- 23:23Speaker 2: air buds or whatever? Out say it to Jim a
- 23:26Speaker 2: grocery store or wherever, thoughts our producer Crash in the
- 23:31Speaker 2: room Kati Aerras for Chiliamar, I can't wait to hear
- 23:34Speaker 2: what you guys have to say about this crash.
- 23:36Speaker 4: What do you got?
- 23:36Speaker 8: Well, if I'm interacting with someone like in the situation
- 23:39Speaker 8: with the cashier, I would take them out because you
- 23:41Speaker 8: know that person deserves your attention. But at the same time,
- 23:44Speaker 8: if you see someone wearing them, I think it's rid
- 23:47Speaker 8: of that person to come up and initiate a conversation.
- 23:50Speaker 6: You obviously want to be left.
- 23:52Speaker 4: Alone, right, You're in your own space, right, and so
- 23:55Speaker 4: the AirPods should be an unspoken signal. Correct, I'm listening
- 23:59Speaker 4: to whatever I'm listening to leave me be. I've tuned
- 24:03Speaker 4: you out for me.
- 24:04Speaker 3: I don't have a problem with anyone wearing a airpads
- 24:07Speaker 3: and AirPods when they're working out or when they're at
- 24:11Speaker 3: the grocery store, but I do kind of feel like
- 24:13Speaker 3: there are going to be interactions.
- 24:15Speaker 6: Just because you have the air pods in doesn't mean
- 24:17Speaker 6: do not talk to me.
- 24:18Speaker 3: I think if you're gonna have a conversation with somebody
- 24:22Speaker 3: and you're gonna be aware and in the moment you're
- 24:24Speaker 3: gonna have to just slip them out for a second,
- 24:25Speaker 3: it's not that big of a deal if.
- 24:27Speaker 6: You're on a treadmill, Okay, I get it.
- 24:29Speaker 3: But if you're in a grocery store and you smile
- 24:31Speaker 3: at somebody and you're trying to have a conversation with
- 24:34Speaker 3: them and they completely ignore you because they are wearing
- 24:37Speaker 3: their air pods, I.
- 24:39Speaker 6: Kind of think that's a little rude.
- 24:40Speaker 4: Got you there, guaranteed human KT.
- 24:43Speaker 2: See, if I'm the cashier and you're being rude to
- 24:45Speaker 2: me and you keep your AirPods in, I'm gonna like
- 24:48Speaker 2: just overcharge you for stuff, And I'm just gonna charge
- 24:50Speaker 2: you like six times for one can of beans that
- 24:53Speaker 2: you might have picked up.
- 24:54Speaker 4: I mean, is that wrong. Am I alone in now?

- 24:58Speaker 3: going to be dealing with a huge person at the register,
