  today we got an interesting thing because I want you to think what's in your hands.

  And today, what's in your hand is the power of belief.

  That is correct. The power of belief.

  And it's not just the power of belief, but the power of believing in yourself.

  And that's the question that we're going to kind of like, oh,
• 1:35
  it's going to be interesting.

  It's going to be a nice little episode because the question would be,

  do you believe in yourself?

  And I always said that, you know what? That's one of the key things,
• 1:45
  depending on what you want to do.

  And I'm not going to say depending on many things in life is believing in yourself
• 1:51
  and your decision. but it's also the key thing.

  Do people believe what you believe?

  And the young brother reached out to me and said, you know what, David, I love it.

  I want you to be. And it's funny because how life works.

  Because my understanding, I think that I didn't know that he had his own little
• 3:26
  thing going on. You know what I mean?

  But the fact that, you know, you network Because you believe in yourself I believe in myself.

  And when you go out there and you see somebody, they listen to your podcast and say, you know what?

  Hey, listen, I got this thing going on. Join me. Let's talk.

  But the key thing there in that relationship, in that situation was that he believed in me.
• 3:49
  He told me, hey, I love what you got to say. I believe. And here we are.

  And it's interesting because I want people to just not kind of ask yourself,

  do you believe in yourself?

  But I want you to kind of, I'm going to bring in something here because I want
• 4:06
  people to just imagine this and imagine you yourself as a clockmaker.
• 4:12
  That is correct. A clockmaker.
• 4:14
  Someone who makes clocks. You know, that was a time that people, you know, make clocks.
• 4:19
  And got to keep in mind that clocks tells the time and for the most part, time tells a lot.
• 4:27
  And time is money, as they say, as well.
• 4:29
  And imagine building a clock Where all these integral parts make that little
• 4:36
  clock Whether it's little, big, whatever it is And you give it to somebody Or
• 4:41
  you sell it or whatever it is And keep in mind,
• 4:44
  your work And what you believe in, your craft,
• 4:48
  Is going to tell the time to somebody else But keep in mind,
• 4:51
  it's this Whoever bites that clock.
• 4:55
  Remember, you have to be perfect at what you do because even one second from
• 5:01
  you being off could change someone's life because that clock would tell the time.
• 5:06
  And I want you to just not only imagine that you're building a clock,
• 5:10
  but you're also building a compass.
• 5:12
  And I want you to, as you imagine being this clock maker, just look around who's
• 5:17
  around you, whether it's your family, your friends, people at work,
• 5:22
  whatever it is that you do on the side, whatever it is that you do,
• 5:27
  I want you to keep this in mind.
• 5:29
  That look at is that when you are this clockmaker, people depend on you given the right time.
• 5:37
  And being that compass, that actually provides the guidance to where exactly?
• 5:42
  Because again, when you give somebody and you believe in yourself and you say,
• 5:47
  here, whether it's your wife, your husband, your kids,
• 5:51
  your boys, you want to start a new business, remember, if you want to start
• 5:55
  a little business, you have to believe in yourself.
• 5:57
  But again, I'm putting these things too together Because remember,
• 6:03
  you are, as they say, the author of your book If you want to look at it that way,
• 6:09
  But you also have to look at yourself as this one person who built something,
• 6:15
  And have to believe that when that, I mean, whatever it is that you do That
• 6:20
  you give or sell your clock with the compass You have to believe that those
• 6:24
  people will believe in you And I'll tell you this much.
• 6:29
  I spend and I reach out to someone who's very endearing to me, right?
• 6:34
  And I reached out to them a couple of weeks ago and basically kind of with that
• 6:38
  same tone, hey, listen, there's something that I did.
• 6:41
  And I'm going to put myself as this clockmaker with a compass.
• 6:46
  I built the perfect clock.
• 6:49
  And I spent half a decade building this clock with a compass in which I gave
• 6:55
  this to this individual where they could tell me,
• 6:59
  or at least they could say that because of what i did their life has been different
• 7:05
  because i gave them the perfect clock with that compass,
• 7:11
  where basically time has told hey listen it's that time for me to make it happen
• 7:16
  and here's that guidance thanks to david he was able to guide me and i reached
• 7:22
  out to them and i said you know,
• 7:23
  just as i believe in you it's not just you telling me that you believe and i
• 7:28
  want people to understand is this.
• 7:30
  A lot of times people say, oh, I believe in you. I got a small business.
• 7:35
  Oh, I believe in you and all this.
• 7:37
  I'll give an example. Oh, baby, I'm pouring this with Tegu's TV. Let's go.

  And I told people, listen, if you believe in me, if you believe that you want
• 7:48
  to come across other people like me, hey, here you go.

  Show me that you believe. And I think that's where the challenge comes in with

  a lot of us who maybe we still not there.

  Maybe we haven't gotten that little small, you know, kind of business little

  going on. And if we did, we kind of not seeing results.

  We're surrounded by people and we kind of say, wow,
• 8:21
  you know, I'm not saying and I should expect everybody to help me,
• 8:25
  but I would think that sometimes in life when we are surrounded and we ask ourselves
• 8:30
  our question, then I believe in myself. Show me.

  Because then, sadly, if you're in the spectrum of asking that question and you're
• 8:40
  on the other side that someone brings a product to you or they bring you something
• 8:44
  that could help you change their life, then, you know, just,
• 8:46
  again, don't say, I believe.
• 8:49
  That's the thing to hear that One of the challenges that I want to bring,
• 8:53
  why I put myself in that situation as the clockmaker, because I am showing you,
• 8:59
  for every clock that I do, for every person that I meet,
• 9:02
  and coming across the individual that I built that clock for half a decade,
• 9:09
  I said, you know what, it's that time to show me.
• 9:11
  Because that clock is basically ding, ding, ding.
• 9:16
  It's time to show that you believe.
• 9:20
  Because as I said to you, what's in your hands is that power that you believe in yourself.

  Why do you, what exactly that you want to do that you want to believe in yourself, that you have to?

  What exactly that you wake up every day and say, I believe, maybe I don't,
• 9:34
  maybe I can't, maybe, you know.
• 9:37
  Because whatever it is that you do, you got to build something, right?
• 9:41
  If you believe in yourself and whatever the product that you do,
• 9:44
  whatever you want to sell, whatever your vocation, whatever your skills.

  I've met a lot of people that got skills, but they haven't untapped it.
• 9:50
  And if I was asked, if I'm going to ask you that question, to those that feel
• 9:55
  like they just got this untapped potential, if I was asked, do you believe in yourself?

  Well, you know, I do. I don't think that you do.

  Because if you do believe in yourself, there's no excuse why not to become who
• 10:11
  you know you can become and untapped that skills. Because once again, what's in your hands?

  Your hands is that power of belief.

  And I've been open up to people. As a young, homeless teenager,
• 10:25
  one day I woke up in front of the city hall, I said, one day I'll run for media.

  It ain't too late. And that's the other thing too. I want people to understand
• 10:32
  that what exactly you want to do that is feasible to what you can accomplish.
• 10:37
  If you want to be an astronaut at the age of 50, by all means,
• 10:41
  ain't nothing holding you back, but I don't know if NASA, you know,
• 10:45
  what are the things there that NASA requires?

  But it's possible Now sometimes you want to be at the most part realistic But
• 10:53
  always think about What it is in the context of Okay let's say Something I'm
• 10:59
  sorry Something a little bit,

  More unrealistic You're 50 years old and you want to play football,

  I don't think that in the NFL There's been a 50 year old If I'm not mistaken

  I think there's been late 40s And again I'm not saying that it's not possible,

  But sometimes you got to think of yourself Okay, I want to do this But what if Sometimes You can,

  Offer something To that thing That you want to do That's going to help you Again Listen,

  If you want to be an astronaut Whatever it is At the age of 50 Boom If you want
• 11:33
  to do the Clockmaker thing now Want to start Selling clocks Absolutely.

  Because sometimes we don't want to give ourselves this illusion of something
• 11:43
  that we know we cannot obtain.
• 11:46
  We know that. There's people there that says, oh, I'm going to do this,
• 11:51
  and by tomorrow I'm going to be a billionaire.
• 11:53
  Unless you play the lotto, unless something crazy happens.
• 11:57
  You don't want to give this illusion because you want to focus your energy on

  believing on what you want to do.
• 12:04
  A lot of times people that accomplish wealth is hardworking people.
• 12:10
  And you see those hardworking people, they kind of live a little bit longer.

  If you see that somebody, you know, out of nowhere just won the lottery.
• 12:17
  Sometimes they're going to splurge that money because they never worked hard for that.
• 12:21
  And working hard for what you believe, trust me.
• 12:25
  And I go the same way too. I'm over here. And I told that individual,
• 12:30
  it's like, hey, I believe in myself so much.
• 12:33
  That I spent half a decade building this clock, the perfect clock with this
• 12:39
  compass in life, because I believe in you.
• 12:43
  That's how much I believe in myself. Because I told the individual,
• 12:48
  trust me, when I run for mayor of New York City one day, I'm going to be realistic.
• 12:53
  It's going to be a long shot.
• 12:56
  But I believe, hey, put me in that ballot, and I'll give me an opportunity. Get me in that ballot.

  And I told that person, I will guarantee you, if you built a clock for me better
• 13:08
  than the one that I built for you, I will be unstoppable.

  Because sometimes in life, it takes that other person to believe and show you.
• 13:18
  And you're going to start seeing a trick or a effect.

  If you look at these products, and look, listen, I'm doing my podcast in an Apple iPhone.

  If I look at 25 years ago, people are like, what the hell is iPhone?
• 13:30
  So you're telling me that I cannot say what's his name from Apple at that time

  Steve Jobs So if you listen to him back then Even 30 years ago when he,
• 13:40
  Foreseen what technology would be about You'd be like man you're crazy.
• 13:45
  He got kicked out of the Apple people, even though he funded the company Apple.

  I think people were like, you know what? You're a little bit too crazy.

  The board of trustees said, get out of here. But then he came back with this
• 13:55
  vision. And the rest is history.

  But you see, it took one or two people. It took one, actually,

  to say, you know what? We should bring him in.
• 14:04
  Because I believe him. I believe in him.

  We should bring back him. And again, they brought Steve Jobs back.

  Where's Apple now? Hello.

  Competing with the big boys or not one of the big boys. But you see what it is?

  What's in your hands is the power of belief. But what are you going to do with that power?

  What are you going to do now as you listen to this to say, hey,

  I'm going to do something.

  I'm going to go to do and live my dream or to live whatever I always wanted to do.

  I'm going to be the clockmaker of my life, of my family, because there's a lot

  of people that depend on you.

  I always say, what is the universe? Right? You always say, what is the universe?

  In the spiritual whatever realm And it's me and I like to say No,

  you don't have to go that spiritual Sometimes you just gotta look at what's
• 14:54
  around you What's around you Your family, your friends, your work,
• 14:59
  Whatever it is, your vacation Whatever it is that you do That's your universe.

  So do you believe in yourself?

  And I'm gonna say this I'm gonna, I believe in myself God damn,

  I Sorry for the little language But dammit, I know that I In 2029,

  if you put me on that ballot I'm going to tell the people the story,

  Of my life But the one thing that I know Is that I believe In myself,

  just don't tell them that it's going to tell you the time. Tell them that the time is down.

  That compass is going to guide that person to the right way,

  and it's going to guide them there.

  When they get there, they look at that clock, they look at that compass, and they look at you.
