- 0:05Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the right time presented by
- 0:07Speaker 1: prize picks.
- 0:09Speaker 2: My name is Beaumont Jones. Thanks for listening.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Wherever you get your podcast. Thanks for watching us on YouTube. Subscribe, like,
- 0:15Speaker 1: rate us, review us, give us five stars. You only
- 0:17Speaker 1: give us four stars. I'm inclined to believe you are
- 0:20Speaker 1: a hater. We got a lot of wild quarterback stuff
- 0:24Speaker 1: around this league that we going to talk about, including
- 0:29Speaker 1: they love nasty D now. Oh, excuse me. Dean Asty
- 0:33Speaker 1: up there in Cleveland. We'll get to that in a
- 0:35Speaker 1: little bit. But I don't know how many of you
- 0:38Speaker 1: guys watched the Rams-Broncos game. I imagine tens of millions.
- 0:41Speaker 1: I know that tens of millions of you are not listening,
- 0:43Speaker 1: but I'm talking about the big you. I like to
- 0:45Speaker 1: imagine the whole world could hear me all at one time, right?
- 0:48Speaker 1: Tens of millions of you watched that Broncos game. And
- 0:51Speaker 1: at the end of the first half, because the Broncos
- 0:54Speaker 1: offense looked so bad, and it is clear that they
- 0:58Speaker 1: are scapegoating this Davis Webb guy. as being the problem,
- 1:02Speaker 1: because Sean Payton, the great play caller, all of this stuff, da-da-da,
- 1:07Speaker 1: now they can't seem to get anything going on offense,
- 1:10Speaker 1: and it was 16-0 at the half, and it looked
- 1:13Speaker 1: very clearly to me like the Broncos were about to
- 1:16Speaker 1: be 1-2 in a division with two 3-0 teams.
- 1:20Speaker 2: We'll talk about that part in a minute.
- 1:23Speaker 1: But it looked like they were going to be down
- 1:24Speaker 1: two games out of first place and looking wholly and
- 1:29Speaker 1: totally down. offensively inept, okay? And they managed to come
- 1:36Speaker 1: back and win that game. Now, part of them coming back, well,
- 1:41Speaker 1: hold on, let me pause. I got ahead of myself
- 1:44Speaker 1: because I want to tell you what happened at halftime.
- 1:46Speaker 1: That was where I was starting. So I sent text
- 1:49Speaker 1: messages out to friends of the program that are, they
- 1:56Speaker 1: football film.
- 1:57Speaker 2: People, right?
- 1:59Speaker 1: And I was like, hey, man, what's your read on
- 2:03Speaker 1: what's wrong with the offense? OK, three out of the
- 2:06Speaker 1: four people hit me back and they all had the
- 2:10Speaker 1: same answer.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Bo Nix.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Now, I know that there are a lot of people
- 2:15Speaker 1: that think I just refuse to move off of my
- 2:17Speaker 1: priors with Bo Nix. I believe that all y'all doing
- 2:22Speaker 1: is listening to Jim Nance. Okay, now look, I'm listening
- 2:27Speaker 1: to some other people on this in part two. I'm
- 2:30Speaker 1: just telling you, I watched that motherfucker play for 10
- 2:33Speaker 1: years before.
- 2:34Speaker 2: He got to the NFL and you're just not going
- 2:36Speaker 2: to tell me that none of that mattered.
- 2:38Speaker 3: You're not.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Ryan, you watched him for 10 years too.
- 2:42Speaker 4: Right.
- 2:42Speaker 2: You saw this.
- 2:44Speaker 1: You remember when you were in school at LSU and
- 2:46Speaker 1: you went to that LSU Auburn game and Bo Nix
- 2:49Speaker 1: was in his junior year?
- 2:51Speaker 2: You remember that?
- 2:52Speaker 3: Might as well have been.
- 2:53Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Like, I'm sorry.
- 2:56Speaker 3: We're almost the same age.
- 2:57Speaker 2: We see it. But anyway.
- 3:01Speaker 1: If you keep Bo Nix in the pocket, ain't really
- 3:04Speaker 1: much he could do. So what Peyton had been doing and.
- 3:08Speaker 1: when things are going better with Webb is when they
- 3:10Speaker 1: figure out how to get him rolling to the right.
- 3:12Speaker 1: You ever hear Collinsburg talk about that in the game?
- 3:14Speaker 1: It's a high school sort of situation, right? Because you
- 3:17Speaker 1: roll to the right, I'm assuming you're making it.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Half the field for that very reason.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Like, you know, it's some people that you would judge
- 3:25Speaker 1: for that shit sometimes, right? But anyway, that's the issue
- 3:31Speaker 1: they got is him right there. And I feel bad
- 3:34Speaker 1: for this Davis Webb, and here's why. If Davis Webb
- 3:38Speaker 1: can't consistently call a game that works for Bo Nix
- 3:41Speaker 1: and they go to Sean Payton and Sean Payton can,
- 3:44Speaker 1: that is not an indicator that Davis Webb can't call plays.
- 3:48Speaker 1: That speaks to Sean Payton being.
- 3:50Speaker 2: S tier at this play calling thing.
- 3:53Speaker 1: But anyway, second half, they got things rolling a little better.
- 3:59Speaker 1: On top of it, they got a helping hand from
- 4:01Speaker 1: three-time Pro Bowl quarterback Matthew Stafford.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Through that pick six.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Potential top five quarterback of all time.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Don't do that.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Don't do that because then the whole show gets thrown
- 4:11Speaker 1: off and I've been going.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Back to this shit.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I've been saying for 15 years.
- 4:15Speaker 2: We don't need that right now. We don't need that. Okay?
- 4:19Speaker 3: Anyway. Future Hall of Famer Matt Stafford.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Okay, I'm coming to the... I can't do nothing about
- 4:26Speaker 2: that part. That's just going to happen.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Okay?
- 4:29Speaker 1: Not future Hall of Famer Matt Ryan is up here like, oh,
- 4:32Speaker 1: so really all we had to do was give three
- 4:33Speaker 1: more points, huh? And the answer is So anyway, Stafford
- 4:43Speaker 1: threw that pick six. Broncos got it going. Bo Nix
- 4:47Speaker 1: threw two awful interceptions, but only one of them counted.
- 4:53Speaker 1: First one, I don't know what was going on. Anyway,
- 4:58Speaker 1: the second one. Now, Ryan, I understand that under no
- 5:02Speaker 1: circumstances in your Louisiana heart and soul, will you be
- 5:07Speaker 1: able to have any level of sympathy for Sean McVay
- 5:12Speaker 1: being on the wrong side of a pass interference call?
- 5:15Speaker 1: I forgot Sean Payton was there for that also. That
- 5:19Speaker 1: was such an awful pass interference call. It was an
- 5:21Speaker 1: incredible interception that my man made on the sideline, in
- 5:25Speaker 1: the red.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Zone, huge play, bad pass, all of it.
- 5:31Speaker 1: And they called pass interference. And the look on Sean
- 5:34Speaker 1: McVay's face, right? Just, just, just, I saw it there.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I saw it there. I say all that to say,
- 5:43Speaker 1: it was a great game. And talk about two teams
- 5:47Speaker 1: that should be coming out.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Of it being like, we got, we got some things
- 5:52Speaker 2: to figure out. We got some things to work out.
- 5:55Speaker 3: You always talk about point differential. The Broncos, 2-1 with
- 5:58Speaker 3: a point differential of minus 10.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Yeah, because they got beat by a gazillion points in
- 6:02Speaker 1: the first week of the year. Look, that offense is
- 6:05Speaker 1: going to be an issue. I think this is maybe
- 6:09Speaker 1: the best way to put it. They have a limited quarterback.
- 6:12Speaker 1: So to me, even if you figure out like schematically
- 6:15Speaker 1: how to get this thing going through the regular season, and.
- 6:18Speaker 2: It's possible that as a play caller, Webb will.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Improve because he's new to the thing and everything else
- 6:23Speaker 1: or Sean Payton takes it over or whatever. But it
- 6:26Speaker 1: doesn't change the fact that they have a limited quarterback. Now,
- 6:29Speaker 1: in the playoffs last year, they got, I guess, kind
- 6:31Speaker 1: of lucky. Bo Nix had that big game against Buffalo
- 6:35Speaker 1: and then he didn't play the next round. So we
- 6:37Speaker 1: don't know what it would have looked like when he
- 6:39Speaker 1: was up against New England, right? Maybe he would not
- 6:42Speaker 1: have seemed to be limited there.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I'm not sure. He seems quite limited now.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Maybe you think he can figure out how to work
- 6:50Speaker 1: around those limitations, but they're trying to win with a
- 6:53Speaker 1: limited quarterback.
- 6:54Speaker 2: With a limited.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Quarterback and what they hope to be an excellent defense,
- 6:58Speaker 1: and they have not looked like an excellent defense so
- 7:01Speaker 1: far this year.
- 7:02Speaker 2: I think that's a fair point to throw out there.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Okay.
- 7:06Speaker 1: With the rams they're one and two my question as
- 7:10Speaker 1: to whether or not uh australia could ruin their whole
- 7:13Speaker 1: season now that's looking like a probably not like i
- 7:16Speaker 1: think they've gotten to the place they've shaken that off
- 7:17Speaker 1: san francisco still hasn't lost though they got to play
- 7:21Speaker 1: uh the bum ass dolphins and the not as bummy
- 7:24Speaker 1: as we thought but probably not good arizona cardinals okay
- 7:28Speaker 1: But for the Rams, they're looking at Miles Garrett for
- 7:31Speaker 1: probably about six weeks.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Something like that, yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Okay, that's what we're.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Looking at with him being out. They're doing this 13
- 7:39Speaker 1: offense that I don't think you do that as much
- 7:43Speaker 1: as they do that unless you're trying to hide a
- 7:45Speaker 1: little something.
- 7:46Speaker 2: What did they say they had?
- 7:47Speaker 1: Was it four active, like five active tight ends and
- 7:50Speaker 1: four active receivers in that game?
- 7:53Speaker 3: That's what happens when you're, all pro wide receivers out
- 7:56Speaker 3: for an undetermined amount of time.
- 7:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:58Speaker 1: And don't worry, he'll be back. And you know, what's
- 7:59Speaker 1: going to happen. He going to be out again. He,
- 8:04Speaker 1: he got a lot of camps, get out a little.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Yeah. You know what I mean?
- 8:07Speaker 1: A lot of Jackson dart in them. Talk about that
- 8:10Speaker 1: whole situation a little later too. But I did not
- 8:14Speaker 1: feel like you, you come out of there. If you're
- 8:15Speaker 1: the Broncos and you're happy that you won and it's nights,
- 8:18Speaker 1: you've been drinking all day. I don't think you come
- 8:21Speaker 1: out of that looking at either team. Like, oh, man,
- 8:24Speaker 1: I think you got to watch out for them. I
- 8:26Speaker 1: think we're looking at those teams like, man, there are
- 8:28Speaker 1: questions to be asked. I think that's fair to say.
- 8:32Speaker 1: They got to do cold water on everybody. And I'm
- 8:35Speaker 1: going to take a different approach to the other game
- 8:37Speaker 1: of the week that we watch, which was the Ravens
- 8:39Speaker 1: and the Cowboys, simply because I found that game, Ryan,
- 8:42Speaker 1: to be a hoot.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Yes.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I still, you know.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I'm just curious what would happen because they play these
- 8:53Speaker 1: games in Rio and they play them in a couple
- 8:55Speaker 1: of other places that.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Guess my question is, Ryan, what do you think would
- 9:04Speaker 1: happen if the NFL played these games in Rio and
- 9:09Speaker 1: there was what I will call a harmless kidnapping?
- 9:17Speaker 2: A harmless kidnapping.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Remember when I had that run last year while I
- 9:22Speaker 1: was reading all those books about people hijacking planes?
- 9:25Speaker 4: Yes.
- 9:25Speaker 2: And most of the time when the planes got hijacked,
- 9:28Speaker 2: nobody got hurt.
- 9:29Speaker 1: They just took the plane and took a little detour
- 9:31Speaker 1: to Cuba, some money was exchanged, and then boom, everybody
- 9:34Speaker 1: went on about their business. It was mostly harmless hijackings.
- 9:39Speaker 1: When they were harmful, it was usually harmful to the
- 9:44Speaker 1: hijackers themselves.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Yes.
- 9:46Speaker 2: But overall, harmless hijacking.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I'm just saying, like, them cats go down there and
- 9:51Speaker 1: they rob.
- 9:51Speaker 2: One of them big motherfuckers, right?
- 9:52Speaker 1: Come get them, put them in the truck, make a
- 9:55Speaker 1: little ransom exchange, and then they back for kickoff.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Like, it's over. in 24 hours.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Not even that long.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Not even that long, right? Because they're going to get
- 10:04Speaker 2: the money up.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Right.
- 10:05Speaker 2: They're not going to, you know. All I'm saying is,
- 10:07Speaker 2: I just don't know. Let's keep going to these dangerous places.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I always wonder what will happen if one day, you know,
- 10:12Speaker 1: they're just about to get bit by some ambitious people.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Because you know somebody's thought about it.
- 10:16Speaker 4: Of course.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Right? Because these are places where that's just what they do.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Right.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Right? Like, they need a little bread. All right, man,
- 10:22Speaker 2: let's go yolk somebody up. Don't worry, we'll give you back.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Right? They'll probably be sitting around playing Xbox and shit. Like,
- 10:27Speaker 1: not even, that ain't a really big deal. They ain't
- 10:29Speaker 1: even got to send them sad messages.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Hello, I am fine. These people are serious. Please give
- 10:35Speaker 2: them their money. No, you ain't even got to do that.
- 10:36Speaker 1: They're just like, hey, man, let's tell you people. Like,
- 10:39Speaker 1: we can handle this like some gentlemen. You know what
- 10:40Speaker 1: I'm saying?
- 10:41Speaker 3: I think Venmo, you know.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Like, I didn't even care. This guy come back and
- 10:44Speaker 2: play a game.
- 10:44Speaker 1: You know, playing, you know, after a long night, they
- 10:48Speaker 1: turned that into a hero story.
- 10:50Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:51Speaker 3: He might have had a tough night of sleep, you know.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Yeah, they might even lie about it and talk about
- 10:54Speaker 1: it like he fought his way out. Yeah.
- 10:56Speaker 2: As one tough hombre.
- 10:58Speaker 4: All right.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I didn't even have to say that. I'd just been
- 11:02Speaker 1: thinking about this all weekend. Ryan can best... I can't
- 11:05Speaker 1: attest to it. I was like, what would happen if
- 11:07Speaker 1: there was a harmless kidnapping? Anyway, I just found that
- 11:11Speaker 1: game to be fun. It is easy to come in judgmentally.
- 11:15Speaker 1: about this game uh obviously it's easy to come in
- 11:18Speaker 1: judgmental of the cowboys i feel like it became a
- 11:20Speaker 1: little difficult to be judgmental of the ravens because this
- 11:23Speaker 1: was not the ravens getting walked down like they played
- 11:26Speaker 1: in the fourth quarter offensively well um granted they were
- 11:30Speaker 1: playing against the make a wish foundation but nonetheless by
- 11:34Speaker 1: the way right top to bottom we thought this was
- 11:36Speaker 1: going to be a terrible game because they had the
- 11:37Speaker 1: problems with the field and everything else and none.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Of that came up that that's what got us thinking.
- 11:42Speaker 1: About the harmless kidnapping anyway um the Ravens led a
- 11:48Speaker 1: seven second, a six second game winning drive. I guess
- 11:52Speaker 1: it's seven in total, but they got the ball back
- 11:53Speaker 1: with seven seconds, threw the ball over the middle, got
- 11:57Speaker 1: the timeout, kick the super long field goal. This immediately
- 12:01Speaker 1: after the Cowboys got down to the one yard line
- 12:03Speaker 1: and had a couple of chances and did not.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Score a touchdown. You know, sometimes you just lose.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:11Speaker 2: I feel like that's what happened.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I was, Watching on the TV before I came in here,
- 12:15Speaker 1: Dominique was on TV, and he was doing his John
- 12:18Speaker 1: Madden and breaking down all the things that the Cowboys
- 12:22Speaker 1: did wrong on that play that allowed for the catch
- 12:24Speaker 1: over the middle, that allowed for the long field goal.
- 12:28Speaker 2: And yeah, they did something wrong.
- 12:31Speaker 1: The Ravens also got their asses down there in six
- 12:34Speaker 1: seconds to kick the field goal. Aubrey kicked the ball
- 12:38Speaker 1: through the uprights, so the ball was brought out 2-35.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Right.
- 12:43Speaker 1: So they were starting from a decent. Sometimes you just
- 12:46Speaker 1: lose the game. They got all the way down there.
- 12:48Speaker 1: But the timeout situation was such that they needed to
- 12:51Speaker 1: make sure that if it wasn't that they couldn't throw
- 12:53Speaker 1: a pass that wasn't incomplete or a touchdown.
- 12:56Speaker 6: Right.
- 12:57Speaker 2: These weren't. I just feel like they lost the game.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Right.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Now, why did they lose the game? Because they defenses
- 13:03Speaker 2: to make a wish foundation. Like this is just, this
- 13:06Speaker 2: is just what it is.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Like the Cowboys offense is going to be in a
- 13:09Speaker 1: terrible situation. Ryan, I imagine you've been in this situation
- 13:13Speaker 1: at a job before. I've been in a situation at
- 13:16Speaker 1: a job like this before and it's just no fun
- 13:19Speaker 1: and it's just no fair. And it's when people look
- 13:22Speaker 1: at you and they don't expect nothing else of your coworkers.
- 13:28Speaker 2: So it's your fault if it doesn't get done.
- 13:33Speaker 1: And if it does get done, we're probably going to
- 13:36Speaker 1: go give these other people more credit than they deserve
- 13:38Speaker 1: so they can feel good. That's where the Cowboys offense is.
- 13:42Speaker 1: You know it's the Make-A-Wish Foundation over there. Y'all got
- 13:45Speaker 1: to score a touchdown every time.
- 13:47Speaker 2: So what if it's fair?
- 13:49Speaker 1: If we don't win Dak Prescott, it's because y'all didn't
- 13:52Speaker 1: score a touchdown every time. It's you, it's CeeDee Lamb
- 13:55Speaker 1: and George Pickens. Shouldn't nobody be able to stop y'all, right?
- 13:58Speaker 1: Y'all got that Ferguson dude. Nobody should be able to
- 14:02Speaker 1: stop you. Yeah, but everybody gets stopped. But y'all shouldn't
- 14:05Speaker 1: get stopped, right?
- 14:06Speaker 2: But it happens.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Shouldn't happen right then. Whenever it happened, it should have happened,
- 14:10Speaker 1: which on paper is true. That's what they're going to
- 14:14Speaker 1: have to live with.
- 14:16Speaker 2: All year long.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Because the Make-A-Wish Foundation is bad enough that they're so generous,
- 14:21Speaker 1: but they're so generous, not even spite of it at
- 14:24Speaker 1: this point, largely because they hurt.
- 14:27Speaker 2: They don't have the bodies to get this done. They
- 14:32Speaker 2: simply don't.
- 14:34Speaker 1: And so you're going to wind up like, they're going
- 14:36Speaker 1: to be so fun to watch this year because there's
- 14:38Speaker 1: going to be shootouts.
- 14:41Speaker 3: There's going to be shootouts and George Pickens eventually is
- 14:43Speaker 3: going to get mad.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Yeah, you can.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Live with Pickens getting mad. You just don't need him
- 14:50Speaker 1: to forget where he is.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Yes.
- 14:53Speaker 1: The problems with Pickens are when he just gets detached
- 14:57Speaker 1: and he forgets where he is. I know I've talked
- 15:01Speaker 1: about this many times, but it was that play with
- 15:04Speaker 1: the Steelers where somebody overthrew him and it was an interception.
- 15:10Speaker 1: And the ball's coming back the other way. Like, I
- 15:12Speaker 1: want to say a safety came and intercepted. And the
- 15:14Speaker 1: ball's coming back the other way. And instead, George Pickens
- 15:18Speaker 1: basically attacks the corner who had been checking him. Like,
- 15:21Speaker 1: the game wasn't still going on. Like, he's not a
- 15:23Speaker 1: wide receiver. Like, just a whole bunch of things where
- 15:27Speaker 1: you're just like, why would you do that?
- 15:30Speaker 2: Like, what is this?
- 15:32Speaker 1: We haven't really, what was it? Like, late in the year,
- 15:34Speaker 1: we started getting, like, inklings. Like, we started getting excuses
- 15:41Speaker 1: for not.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Giving him a long-term contract.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Right.
- 15:44Speaker 2: That's what we got.
- 15:45Speaker 1: But I also will say this about the Cowboys and
- 15:47Speaker 1: the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Broadly, we are hard on the Bengals.
- 15:52Speaker 1: For the fact that they spent all this money on
- 15:54Speaker 1: those two wide receivers, and they got a defense that
- 15:57Speaker 1: just can't get it done as a result. We don't
- 16:00Speaker 1: really do that to the Cowboys, and even if they've
- 16:03Speaker 1: done it in the course of like putting pickings on
- 16:07Speaker 1: the franchise tag, that's still what they've done.
- 16:11Speaker 5: Right?
- 16:12Speaker 2: That's still what they've done. So, look, Ryan, you know this.
- 16:19Speaker 1: You've been doing this for a while on various platforms.
- 16:23Speaker 1: The Cowboys generally are good for business. but this version
- 16:27Speaker 1: of the Cowboys is what's best for business. What's best
- 16:31Speaker 1: for business with the Cowboys. I'm going to just lay
- 16:34Speaker 1: this out for everybody. It's what everybody needs to root for.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Like it's pretty excellent for business. If the Cowboys were
- 16:41Speaker 1: to be like 14 and three, right. That would be
- 16:46Speaker 1: pretty good because then every week you could kind of
- 16:49Speaker 1: like bring them up in some form or fashion.
- 16:51Speaker 3: They would be at every national TV window. Yes.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Yes. Yes.
- 16:55Speaker 2: But they got to bounce it around a little bit, right?
- 16:57Speaker 1: But in my opinion, the best version of the Cowboys
- 17:02Speaker 1: is somewhere around 11-6.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Maybe 10-7. No, no, no, no, no. Hear me out.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Hear me out. Hear me out, right? 11-6, 10-7.
- 17:19Speaker 1: And the reason is that puts them in a place
- 17:22Speaker 1: where they're good enough to beat or compete at the
- 17:25Speaker 1: very least against anybody.
- 17:27Speaker 2: That means they're going.
- 17:28Speaker 1: To get some wins that are a bit over their
- 17:30Speaker 1: head so that everybody gets super excited about it. But
- 17:34Speaker 1: then also you get what's really good for business, a
- 17:37Speaker 1: couple of embarrassing losses. And so we have intrigue going
- 17:42Speaker 1: into every game. Then they make the playoffs in the
- 17:45Speaker 1: wildcard round. So then we get to talk about them there.
- 17:49Speaker 1: And then if you're lucky, they pull out like a
- 17:51Speaker 1: tough win. And then they go play against somebody in
- 17:55Speaker 1: that next round. Now we know they're not going to
- 17:57Speaker 1: get past that next round. We got 30 years of
- 18:01Speaker 1: track record to indicate that's not going to happen. But
- 18:03Speaker 1: if they can get to that round and then just
- 18:06Speaker 1: do something stupid at the very end, We can step
- 18:10Speaker 1: on that dope that whole week, and it'll still hit
- 18:13Speaker 1: good as new.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Right?
- 18:16Speaker 1: That's what we need. So I'm feeling right now, we
- 18:19Speaker 1: got the one and two Cowboys with an excellent offense
- 18:23Speaker 1: and a bad defense and a quarterback that we all
- 18:27Speaker 1: think is very good, but none of us think is
- 18:31Speaker 1: quite good enough.
- 18:33Speaker 3: With a nice soft part of the schedule coming up.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Oh, who we got?
- 18:36Speaker 3: We got... At the Texans.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Okay.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Road game. Versus the potentially bakerless Bucs.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Ooh, and I think he will be bakerless. Okay.
- 18:49Speaker 4: Okay.
- 18:50Speaker 3: At the Packers.
- 18:52Speaker 4: Ooh.
- 18:54Speaker 3: And then you play at the Eagles on Monday Night Football.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Okay, so they could be 4-2 going into that game.
- 19:03Speaker 1: But they could also go into that game at 3-3.
- 19:08Speaker 1: And I think the Eagles are going to be the
- 19:10Speaker 1: Tyson Bajet-led Bears, but the.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Eagles are a little teetery. Oh, yeah. Yeah, they doing
- 19:18Speaker 2: it for us, baby. Way to go, NFL. Appreciate you.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Brian, I just realized I had on my Rio de
- 19:28Speaker 1: Janeiro t-shirt while talking about the Rio de Janeiro.
- 19:32Speaker 2: I did not do it on purpose, by the way.
- 19:34Speaker 2: I did not think of it.
- 19:35Speaker 3: It's just dope.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Well, yeah.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Well, I'm also trying to do a little better about
- 19:39Speaker 1: the wrinkles. Like, I admit, the idea of ironing my
- 19:45Speaker 1: shirt so I can go from over there to over here.
- 19:48Speaker 3: It's just... Yes.
- 19:50Speaker 2: It's a little tough.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I understand.
- 19:53Speaker 1: And I didn't realize how strong these wrinkles have been
- 19:56Speaker 1: coming through. Man, I did a show with Maury Povich,
- 19:58Speaker 1: and I looked down at my sweatshirt during that show,
- 20:01Speaker 1: and my shit was embarrassingly wrinkled. And I said to them, damn,
- 20:04Speaker 1: I didn't realize my shirt was wrinkled. They're like, oh, no,
- 20:06Speaker 1: it didn't come up on camera. Man, I looked at
- 20:08Speaker 1: that video.
- 20:11Speaker 2: It came up on camera.
- 20:13Speaker 1: But anyway, last thing, did you see that J.J. Watt
- 20:16Speaker 1: tell the story that he was.
- 20:18Speaker 2: At Big Jeezy in Rio?
- 20:19Speaker 3: No, I did not.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Yeah, so he was visiting Big Jeezy, and he's standing there,
- 20:24Speaker 1: and you know, I think... JJ is more likely to
- 20:26Speaker 1: call it Christ the Redeemer because I think he views
- 20:29Speaker 1: Big Jeezy differently than I do, which is to say
- 20:32Speaker 1: not quite with the sense of humor. So he's there.
- 20:35Speaker 1: He said he's there. He's looking at Big Jeezy. Anybody
- 20:37Speaker 1: that's been there with Big Jeezy, Big Jeezy is really big, right?
- 20:40Speaker 1: And I imagine if that's your jam, it could be
- 20:43Speaker 1: really awe-inspiring. And the story, by the way, is that
- 20:46Speaker 1: there was a contest about all around the world who
- 20:49Speaker 1: could build the biggest Jeezy.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Like in Lisbon, they got a Big Jeezy. there too,
- 20:53Speaker 2: but it ain't. It's like, it's like, it's not really
- 20:58Speaker 2: Big Jeezy, like I ain't here.
- 20:59Speaker 1: But anyway, he say, look at that Big Jeezy, and
- 21:02Speaker 1: the next thing you know, you feel somebody walk past him,
- 21:05Speaker 1: slap him on the stomach. And he looks down and
- 21:08Speaker 1: it's Stephen A.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Smith.
- 21:14Speaker 1: And he talks about it like it was some kind
- 21:16Speaker 1: of weird, out-of-pocket experience.
- 21:18Speaker 2: But I disagree.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Like, Stephen A absolutely should acknowledge you in that moment,
- 21:23Speaker 1: but he didn't want to disturb you. And Stephen A
- 21:26Speaker 1: definitely on his cool shit in that moment.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Like, it's like a real cool catch. He just walked
- 21:30Speaker 2: past you with the, all right, big baby. And then
- 21:32Speaker 2: just keep it moving, right?
- 21:33Speaker 3: Yes.
- 21:34Speaker 2: So anyway, shout out.
- 21:35Speaker 3: That's not the first time he's done that.
- 21:37Speaker 1: No, no, no. People were like, why is Stephen A's
- 21:39Speaker 1: been to Brazil? He was like, because I want to
- 21:40Speaker 1: go to Brazil.
- 21:41Speaker 2: That's a football game.
- 21:43Speaker 3: What are you?
- 21:45Speaker 2: What excuse did you.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Possibly need what's the point of being who I am
- 21:49Speaker 3: if I don't get to go to Rio for the
- 21:52Speaker 3: lightest excuse possible by.
- 21:53Speaker 1: The way knowing what we know about Stephen A. Smith
- 21:56Speaker 1: because he has told us things that many of us
- 21:58Speaker 1: wish we did not know I can't imagine any place
- 22:02Speaker 1: Stephen A. Smith would want to be in this world
- 22:05Speaker 1: more than Rio correct.
- 22:10Speaker 3: Anyway Speaking of Big Jeezy, Josh Allen and Justin Herbert.
- 22:13Speaker 5: Oh, wow.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Jeezy versus Jeezy.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Well, you know, we kind of call Josh Jaheim around here.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Yes.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Justin Herbert don't deserve no nickname. I ain't associating him
- 22:23Speaker 1: with the people. I watched basically all of that game, Ryan.
- 22:27Speaker 1: I don't know if you tuned in on that one.
- 22:33Speaker 1: I called that game a Nick Wright special. Poor game
- 22:38Speaker 1: from Josh Allen. and a poor game from Justin Herbert
- 22:42Speaker 1: at the same damn time, right?
- 22:44Speaker 2: Now, I asked another friend.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Of the program about Herbert because I thought Herbert looked bad,
- 22:47Speaker 1: and that friend of the program told me.
- 22:49Speaker 2: That nobody's open. Okay, I guess, but they look bad.
- 22:54Speaker 1: The Bills turned the ball over five times, and the
- 22:58Speaker 1: Chargers turned that into, what was it, 13 points or
- 23:01Speaker 1: 16 points, my bad.
- 23:02Speaker 2: That's all they could get out of that.
- 23:04Speaker 1: They were so ill-equipped as the Bills consistently were trying
- 23:08Speaker 1: to turn that game over. And the Bills gave you the, like,
- 23:12Speaker 1: they've decided.
- 23:13Speaker 2: This is the life they're going to live, right?
- 23:15Speaker 1: They're going to live the Yolo Josh life, and the
- 23:17Speaker 1: Yolo Josh life sometimes is going to look like it
- 23:19Speaker 1: did in that game. I also thought the Chargers in
- 23:22Speaker 1: their front, the front seven for the Chargers was like, oh, shit,
- 23:25Speaker 1: we're 0-2. And the offense for the Chargers is like, eh,
- 23:28Speaker 1: it's a long season. Don't rush. Hey, guys, we've got time.
- 23:37Speaker 1: We've got time. But they both look bad in that game.
- 23:40Speaker 1: In fact, this weekend was so interesting because it is
- 23:43Speaker 1: largely about quarterbacks looking not good.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Yes.
- 23:48Speaker 1: You know, we talked about Stafford and Nix in that game,
- 23:51Speaker 1: not looking good.
- 23:52Speaker 2: But it was interesting.
- 23:52Speaker 1: We also had Dak and Lamar, and they did look
- 23:56Speaker 1: good in that game. They just happened to be playing
- 23:59Speaker 1: against each other. We got Josh Allen and Justin Herbert.
- 24:03Speaker 1: But look, let's be honest about this.
- 24:05Speaker 2: There's a real.
- 24:08Speaker 1: There's a tendency in doing a show like this, or
- 24:11Speaker 1: just shows in general, in sports, and what you feel
- 24:14Speaker 1: like you have to talk about is what is, like, important.
- 24:19Speaker 2: What are the big games, right? You know, those sorts
- 24:24Speaker 2: of things. But this was, again, a really weird week because, like,
- 24:29Speaker 2: so many people.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Didn't look good. Patrick Mahomes, by the way, he did
- 24:32Speaker 1: look good. Shout out to you, Geno Smith.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Granted, you were... Playing against a very poor defense.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Their secondary is so bad.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Oh, my God. The Lions secondary is so bad. I'm
- 24:42Speaker 2: so glad they won that game.
- 24:43Speaker 1: But, like, can we get Burns back? Can we get
- 24:45Speaker 1: Joseph back? Can we trade for Joey Porter? Can Dominique
- 24:50Speaker 1: play for them? Like, can we get just something, anything? But, like,
- 24:57Speaker 1: even in a game like Minnesota-Tampa Bay, Kyler Murray didn't
- 25:00Speaker 1: look good in that game.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Same Darnold.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Same Darnold.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Yeah, and look, he had big plays, but I was
- 25:08Speaker 1: watching that like, I don't know, guys. You might have
- 25:11Speaker 1: been able to get this done with Drew Locke.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Just maybe. C.J.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Stroud? Ugh, ugh, ugh, ugh.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers, however, he did look good. Or better. Is
- 25:24Speaker 2: that a more accurate way to put it?
- 25:25Speaker 3: I would go with better.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Cincinnati got a problem.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Joe Burrow gave up the booty at the end where
- 25:30Speaker 1: he fumbled the ball, but Cincinnati, Cincinnati is Cincinnati and Dallas.
- 25:35Speaker 2: We talked about this a little earlier.
- 25:36Speaker 3: What's the difference?
- 25:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 25:37Speaker 2: What's the difference? It's going to be like this every game. Oh, okay.
- 25:43Speaker 1: But there were two quarterbacks that if you saw anything
- 25:47Speaker 1: that had to do with them, guys, number one, things
- 25:52Speaker 1: are weird. And number two, I'm generally of the belief
- 25:58Speaker 1: that the devil don't need no advocate.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Okay?
- 26:02Speaker 2: I don't do that.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Just throwing stuff out there for the sake of making
- 26:07Speaker 1: an argument on the other side.
- 26:09Speaker 2: And I don't believe in doing the work of the devil.
- 26:14Speaker 4: Okay?
- 26:16Speaker 2: However, every now and then something happens.
- 26:20Speaker 1: And after seeing it, if somebody was to pull up
- 26:24Speaker 1: on me and say, You know racism is over, right?
- 26:29Speaker 1: I might have a difficult time mounting a sufficient disagreement
- 26:35Speaker 1: of that fact, right? So let's start with Jameis Winston.
- 26:43Speaker 1: You know, there was a time where he would have
- 26:46Speaker 1: been long gone out the league. He threw 30 interceptions
- 26:53Speaker 1: seven years ago.
- 26:55Speaker 2: He's still here. Not only is he still here, he's
- 26:59Speaker 2: still here.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Despite the fact that he is utterly replaceable. You can
- 27:05Speaker 1: find a lot of people to do what Jameis Winston
- 27:08Speaker 1: does on the football field, right? Forget about all the
- 27:13Speaker 1: racism being over. I do think that we have to
- 27:16Speaker 1: acknowledge that the conversation around black quarterbacks is not.
- 27:19Speaker 2: The same as it was when I was a kid.
- 27:22Speaker 1: In fact, it's not the same as it was when
- 27:24Speaker 1: I started doing this job.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Like, it's changed.
- 27:27Speaker 1: It's a world where, like, Teron Taylor can make eight
- 27:29Speaker 1: figures being a backup quarterback. And it is a world
- 27:33Speaker 1: where not only is Jameis Winston still in the league,
- 27:36Speaker 1: Jameis Winston, who, you know, whoo, He's created some issues
- 27:44Speaker 1: for himself.
- 27:45Speaker 4: Okay?
- 27:47Speaker 2: And for other people, which is the real problem. But
- 27:51Speaker 2: he's stuck around and people love him.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Love him.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Now, why do people love him? I got to be
- 27:58Speaker 2: honest with you.
- 27:59Speaker 1: There are levels to the discussion that would be much
- 28:01Speaker 1: easier for me if all these white people weren't around.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Okay?
- 28:07Speaker 2: It's a very important thing I want everybody to know.
- 28:09Speaker 1: But at the same time, I want you to hear,
- 28:13Speaker 1: they won 12-7 against the Titans in the rain, by
- 28:15Speaker 1: the way. I want you guys to hear what this
- 28:19Speaker 1: guy said post-game. I don't even want to play the
- 28:22Speaker 1: pre-game introduction.
- 28:24Speaker 2: I just want you to hear.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Oh, we have it.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Oh, we have it. Could you play that?
- 28:28Speaker 5: There was no doubt on the sideline that it was
- 28:32Speaker 5: going to happen. Obviously, we are Alberta's keeper winning.
- 28:37Speaker 4: This game for Jackson.
- 28:38Speaker 6: You know, 12 points, six times two, right?
- 28:42Speaker 4: It's for you, right? That's 12, right?
- 28:49Speaker 1: And he had some crazy pregame about feeling good about
- 28:53Speaker 1: having the opportunity.
- 28:54Speaker 2: We're doers, not speakers. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We don't have
- 28:59Speaker 2: that one, do we?
- 28:59Speaker 3: We sure do.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Play it, play it, play it.
- 29:02Speaker 1: A difficult week is an understatement, but this is your
- 29:05Speaker 1: 90th NFL start.
- 29:06Speaker 2: You've had a week of prep. How confident are you
- 29:09Speaker 2: in carrying this team forward?
- 29:12Speaker 5: One thing that I do is forgetting those that is
- 29:16Speaker 5: behind and reaching forward to what's ahead.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Well, we're having beautiful weather today.
- 29:24Speaker 3: How much do you feel that's going to impact.
- 29:26Speaker 2: The game out here?
- 29:27Speaker 5: Man, I'm so grateful. that we get to focus on
- 29:32Speaker 5: winning one play at a time. The circumstances, conditions, and facts,
- 29:36Speaker 5: they don't matter. It's us doing. being doers, not speakers.
- 29:43Speaker 2: We're looking forward to seeing you doing it today, and
- 29:45Speaker 2: good luck.
- 29:45Speaker 4: Thank you. Thank you.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Ryan, he's fucking with us, right? Right?
- 29:57Speaker 1: He's got to be doing this on purpose.
- 30:01Speaker 2: He has to be.
- 30:02Speaker 3: The thing about the importance of when you're doing a
- 30:06Speaker 3: bit like this is he never breaks character.
- 30:09Speaker 2: But that's bringing us to the question.
- 30:11Speaker 6: Is it a bit?
- 30:13Speaker 2: Because he's always kind of been like this.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Yes.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Is it a bit?
- 30:17Speaker 3: I don't... If I was ranking my top 10 moments
- 30:23Speaker 3: of my college football life, Jameis Winston going out, In
- 30:27Speaker 3: the jersey when he was suspended. When he was in
- 30:31Speaker 3: his warm-ups and Jimbo having to kick him off the field.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Oh, man. The look on Jimbo's, I just can't believe it.
- 30:39Speaker 3: And him talking to him afterwards when he's on.
- 30:42Speaker 2: But you know what, though?
- 30:43Speaker 1: That game gets to the observation that I think is
- 30:46Speaker 1: the only observation about James, okay?
- 30:49Speaker 2: Because I don't know if you remember this. That game
- 30:51Speaker 2: was against Clemson.
- 30:53Speaker 4: Yes.
- 30:54Speaker 2: And it was a pretty good Clemson team.
- 30:56Speaker 1: And Florida State has some white dude named Sean something
- 31:01Speaker 1: starting the game.
- 31:02Speaker 2: I can't remember.
- 31:02Speaker 1: It may have been McGuire. I can't remember his last name, right?
- 31:05Speaker 1: But it was just a backup quarterback. Certainly a good athlete.
- 31:08Speaker 1: He got a scholarship to Florida State, but nonetheless, the
- 31:11Speaker 1: plan was not for him to play.
- 31:13Speaker 2: And this is, as you recall, this is when.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Jameis got suspended for standing up. After the sexual assault
- 31:23Speaker 1: allegation the year before, Jameis stood up.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Surrounded by his fellow students and.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Said something wildly and I quote because I know my
- 31:33Speaker 1: mom's listening he said and I quote grab her by
- 31:37Speaker 1: the pussy this is what he said and they had
- 31:40Speaker 1: to suspend him again after the allegations that he had
- 31:44Speaker 1: dealt with the year before and he's getting railed on
- 31:49Speaker 1: in every corner right media all the places all the
- 31:53Speaker 1: things you know and Florida State wins that game at
- 31:57Speaker 1: the end, because they won every game at the end
- 31:59Speaker 1: that year. They win every game, they win that game
- 32:01Speaker 1: at the end, and they come to do the interview
- 32:03Speaker 1: with the new quarterback, and you know they were, they
- 32:05Speaker 1: readied up.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Praise him in that moment. And that man.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Looked at the camera and was just like, I just,
- 32:12Speaker 1: I mean, I just got to thank Jameis. And he
- 32:18Speaker 1: went on and on about like how helpful Jameis had been.
- 32:21Speaker 1: As I recall, like his parents were complimenting Jameis like,
- 32:25Speaker 1: Jameis appears to be one of the worst kinds of
- 32:29Speaker 1: people in the world, which is people.
- 32:32Speaker 2: You just can't stay mad at.
- 32:35Speaker 1: No matter what they do, you just can't stay mad
- 32:40Speaker 1: at them.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Now, if you want to say the allegation when he
- 32:43Speaker 2: was in college, didn't get all the, hey, okay.
- 32:46Speaker 1: But they did suspend him in the league because they
- 32:48Speaker 1: said he sat down with the Uber driver and immediately
- 32:51Speaker 1: put his hand between her legs.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Sitting in the front seat. Like, He's still with the
- 32:58Speaker 2: woman that he was with in high school.
- 33:00Speaker 1: She's, after everything I just told you, she's.
- 33:04Speaker 3: Still with him.
- 33:06Speaker 2: People just can't stay mad at this guy.
- 33:12Speaker 3: He's not even good.
- 33:16Speaker 1: People just can't stay mad at this guy. What a
- 33:20Speaker 1: weird time. Now, I'll tell you who people can.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Stay mad at. And that's Nasty D.
- 33:28Speaker 1: People have been mad at Nasty D for five years
- 33:32Speaker 1: and change now.
- 33:34Speaker 2: It feels like.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Deservedly so.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Yes. Way to make sure they know.
- 33:43Speaker 3: There was a pause there and I decided to.
- 33:46Speaker 2: No, you made.
- 33:47Speaker 1: You did what I love you for.
- 33:50Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? Well done. Couldn't leave that
- 33:53Speaker 2: to chance.
- 33:54Speaker 3: Got you.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Nasty D did not play well on Sunday.
- 33:58Speaker 5: No.
- 33:59Speaker 1: But you remember, it wasn't that long ago, and they
- 34:00Speaker 1: was like, man, you got to hurry up and bench him.
- 34:03Speaker 1: You can't have him out there for the home opener.
- 34:05Speaker 1: And then he played decently in week two, and they
- 34:09Speaker 1: won the game. And he was still the starter, and
- 34:12Speaker 1: they came out here, and they beat Carolina.
- 34:16Speaker 2: I watched toward the end.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Of that game.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Sean Watson owes those people an apology.
- 34:25Speaker 1: And he owes those people an apology because he was like, well,
- 34:28Speaker 1: if I don't throw for 500 yards, they going to
- 34:31Speaker 1: boo me. Son, you threw for 144 yards on 4.8
- 34:37Speaker 1: yards per attempt. And they were cheering like you just
- 34:43Speaker 1: got back from combat. And your children had no idea
- 34:50Speaker 1: you had showed up to hug them.
- 34:53Speaker 2: That place was rocking. Everything that they've.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Talked about, people have talked about in the past, you know,
- 35:00Speaker 1: we were upset that they got Deshaun Watson.
- 35:02Speaker 2: None of that matters if you're two and one. We're
- 35:05Speaker 2: not even talking about making the playoffs. We're not talking
- 35:08Speaker 2: about anything else. Simply two and one. And the place
- 35:13Speaker 2: was rocking, Ryan. Rocking. They were so excited to have him.
- 35:20Speaker 2: So excited.
- 35:21Speaker 1: And they play the Steelers next. They play them at home.
- 35:26Speaker 1: They play them on Thursday night. There's a good chance
- 35:30Speaker 1: the Browns could be 3-1, Ryan.
- 35:34Speaker 2: 3-1.
- 35:34Speaker 3: And then they get the Jets.
- 35:38Speaker 2: 4-1. Hey, man. Let me be very careful. And I
- 35:44Speaker 2: want to be very clear.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Ain't no way in hell they going to 4-1. I
- 35:50Speaker 1: don't know how they're not going to go 4-1, but
- 35:53Speaker 1: nobody thinks that, right? And I know that if they
- 35:55Speaker 1: do go 4-1, somebody's out here preparing to clip me
- 35:59Speaker 1: saying that they're going 4-1. Well, put your ass on
- 36:02Speaker 1: the record right now and say that you think they're
- 36:05Speaker 1: going 4-1, right?
- 36:06Speaker 2: Put that next to this.
- 36:08Speaker 1: If you do it, it's just because you're lying.
- 36:10Speaker 2: You don't think that's going to happen.
- 36:11Speaker 3: No one thinks the Browns are ever going to be 4-1.
- 36:14Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 36:15Speaker 2: But bottom line is.
- 36:19Speaker 1: All they want to do is win there. And Deshaun Watson,
- 36:21Speaker 1: you threw a touchdown pass late. That's really all they
- 36:24Speaker 1: asked for. That's really all it took. That's really all
- 36:29Speaker 1: it took. Now, Drake Bay, I hope you're listening.
- 36:33Speaker 4: Okay?
- 36:34Speaker 2: Because I know right now, it don't feel good. He
- 36:37Speaker 2: has been cheeks. No way around it. He's stunk.
- 36:41Speaker 4: Okay?
- 36:44Speaker 1: And if you just get out here and play okay
- 36:46Speaker 1: and decent and win a couple games.
- 36:48Speaker 2: They'll clap for you.
- 36:49Speaker 4: Again, too.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Now, granted, I think their standards in New England are
- 36:52Speaker 1: a little bit higher.
- 36:54Speaker 2: They're accustomed to a little bit more.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Especially from the quarterback position?
- 36:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:58Speaker 4: Fair.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Fair. Hey, man.
- 37:04Speaker 1: He's... I am intrigued by quarterback arc and development. Because, like, hey, man,
- 37:15Speaker 1: if a running back is good as a rookie... That
- 37:18Speaker 1: running back's going to be good until his body stops
- 37:20Speaker 1: allowing him to be good.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Generally a fair point.
- 37:24Speaker 1: You don't really have a lot of, like, I feel
- 37:28Speaker 1: like wide receivers just one year pop up and then
- 37:31Speaker 1: it goes away unless there's a reason.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Quarterbacks are almost like baseball players.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Where baseball players just have these wild up and down,
- 37:39Speaker 1: oh man, he just had a bad year.
- 37:41Speaker 3: You don't have- Yeah, the idea of like an extended
- 37:44Speaker 3: slump is almost built into the equation.
- 37:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it doesn't happen anywhere else, right? Except in football,
- 37:49Speaker 1: it does happen with quarterbacks. But the other thing that
- 37:51Speaker 1: can happen with quarterbacks that is so interesting is the
- 37:53Speaker 1: idea that somebody can.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Be, or at the very least put up very good stats.
- 37:57Speaker 1: People are telling me that Drake May did not look terrible,
- 38:00Speaker 1: even though he didn't look as good as he seemed,
- 38:01Speaker 1: he didn't look terrible last year.
- 38:04Speaker 2: He looks terrible now.
- 38:05Speaker 1: And it's so much a confidence situation where we see
- 38:08Speaker 1: this happen with baseball pitchers. All of a sudden, you
- 38:10Speaker 1: just can't do this anymore, right? Guy has some excellent,
- 38:13Speaker 1: like an excellent year or two. And then for whatever reason, non-physical,
- 38:17Speaker 1: you just can't do it anymore. And I'm not saying
- 38:20Speaker 1: it's at a point where your Drake mate can't do
- 38:22Speaker 1: it anymore. But if you have six straight bad games,
- 38:24Speaker 1: you're just not good. Like maybe you can become good
- 38:27Speaker 1: again and maybe you were good before, but we kind
- 38:30Speaker 1: of operate on a premise that like, if you've been good,
- 38:33Speaker 1: you are good until further notice and not, he got relegated, right?
- 38:38Speaker 1: Like that, it seems very clear that right now he
- 38:41Speaker 1: has been dropped on the relegation tier and now he's
- 38:43Speaker 1: got to pick this up.
- 38:45Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 38:46Speaker 1: And if I'm him, I get in front of a
- 38:48Speaker 1: microphone and they ask me, well, why it is that
- 38:51Speaker 1: you're not playing so well? And it's like, you know,
- 38:54Speaker 1: I just, right now, I feel like I need support.
- 38:59Speaker 1: And when I needed support the most, he was out
- 39:04Speaker 1: with that hussy!
- 39:13Speaker 3: Tried to reach him and he was busy.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Just throwing it out there. Not calling nobody no hussy.
- 39:20Speaker 1: I'm just saying somebody might say it. That is one
- 39:25Speaker 1: thing we don't talk nearly enough about. is like, we
- 39:27Speaker 1: talk about them old school movies and they'd be out
- 39:29Speaker 1: here calling women hussies and stuff like that.
- 39:31Speaker 2: And it seems so funny, but in reality, that was
- 39:34Speaker 2: scandalous talk.
- 39:35Speaker 3: Yes.
- 39:35Speaker 2: That was like, I can't use the words that that's
- 39:38Speaker 2: like on this show.
- 39:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:40Speaker 3: It's like calling someone a harlot in a book from
- 39:42Speaker 3: the 1800s.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Well, yes, but like you can get away with harlot.
- 39:44Speaker 2: Like all of that sounds kind of classy.
- 39:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:47Speaker 1: The words we use for that stuff now cut straight
- 39:49Speaker 1: to the point. Like, I feel like hussy was a
- 39:51Speaker 1: demotion from harlot. And now we just straight at, you
- 39:57Speaker 1: can't say that shit on TV. Football is finally back

- 41:33Speaker 6: Now, if you haven't heard.
- 41:36Speaker 3: All right, Bo, if you haven't heard, presented by PrizePix,
- 41:40Speaker 3: Oregon takes down USC 41-27 this weekend. It is getting tough.
- 41:45Speaker 3: out there for Lincoln Riley, as many people have begun
- 41:49Speaker 3: to call for his job. Bo, how do you think
- 41:51Speaker 3: this situation resolves itself?
- 41:53Speaker 1: Well, apparently his buyout is roughly the GDP of Nicaragua.
- 42:01Speaker 2: It's a gang of money that you have to pay.
- 42:04Speaker 3: The number I saw was floating around was $ 70 million.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Okay, that was the number that I saw also. They
- 42:09Speaker 1: don't have $ 70 million. Right, like there's just, they... They
- 42:13Speaker 1: don't have that kind of bread. Now, I don't know
- 42:16Speaker 1: how it has to be paid out. If it's a
- 42:18Speaker 1: $ 70 million lump sum, they're cooked. If it's $ 70 million
- 42:23Speaker 1: that they could pay out over term, they're James Franklin, basically.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Somebody else will hire Lincoln Riley.
- 42:31Speaker 2: It'll happen.
- 42:33Speaker 1: But it seems pretty clear to me that it ain't
- 42:34Speaker 1: going to work there for him. Now, I want to
- 42:37Speaker 1: make two points on this. One, The $ 70 million buyout,
- 42:41Speaker 1: one could argue, is the buyout actually doing its job. Like,
- 42:44Speaker 1: as much as all of us think that this whole
- 42:46Speaker 1: buyout game is ridiculous, what the buyout should encourage is
- 42:50Speaker 1: patience with the coach and the decision that you're going
- 42:53Speaker 1: to ride this thing out with him. It's supposed to
- 42:55Speaker 1: basically effectively operate as a guarantee.
- 42:57Speaker 3: The buyout is not ridiculous. People paying the buyout is ridiculous.
- 43:00Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 43:01Speaker 2: But they're saying what is ridiculous... is keeping this.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Guy that we know is not the guy. Like something's
- 43:09Speaker 1: going to happen with the market with coach money in
- 43:12Speaker 1: part because now that you can pay players, which may become,
- 43:15Speaker 1: if this bill passes, now this gets weird. But in
- 43:18Speaker 1: this moment where the issue really is, can you pay
- 43:20Speaker 1: the players and bring them in, the idea that the
- 43:22Speaker 1: coach is some kind of goddamn magician or Svengali that
- 43:25Speaker 1: can just, you know, play the flute or whatever you
- 43:28Speaker 1: call it and bring the guys in, They're not worth
- 43:31Speaker 1: the money like that anymore.
- 43:32Speaker 2: We'll get somebody else in here and we'll pay to
- 43:34Speaker 2: get the guys. But where they are.
- 43:36Speaker 1: Historically, and this is where to me it's interesting, USC
- 43:41Speaker 1: seems to be one of those jobs where LSU is
- 43:45Speaker 1: a job where you can win and get it done.
- 43:48Speaker 2: With a good coach.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Alabama is a place where you can get it done,
- 43:53Speaker 1: not consistently, but you can get it done with a
- 43:57Speaker 1: good coach.
- 43:59Speaker 2: But to make them happy, you've got to have a
- 44:02Speaker 2: great coach.
- 44:04Speaker 1: Alabama's had two great coaches, Saban and Bryant, and they
- 44:10Speaker 1: ran all the rest of them off, except for Franchoni,
- 44:13Speaker 1: who ran before they ran him. A good coach can
- 44:16Speaker 1: get it done. You've got to have a great one. Miami,
- 44:18Speaker 1: while they were on top, you could argue, like Butch Davis,
- 44:23Speaker 1: Good coach. Larry Coker, not even that, right? Dennis Erickson,
- 44:27Speaker 1: definitely a good coach. Would he be a Hall of
- 44:29Speaker 1: Fame coach if he did not coach Miami? You know,
- 44:32Speaker 1: good coach can get it done, but you need a
- 44:34Speaker 1: great one to.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Make it happen.
- 44:35Speaker 1: USC's had two great coaches, McKay and Carroll. John Robinson,
- 44:42Speaker 1: a good coach. And look what happened the last three
- 44:44Speaker 1: years that John Robinson was there once Aldo McKay was
- 44:47Speaker 1: off the program.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Three loss, three loss, three.
- 44:51Speaker 5: Loss, okay?
- 44:53Speaker 1: And that is with players. A good coach can do okay.
- 45:00Speaker 1: They need a great one. And Lincoln Riley is a
- 45:03Speaker 1: good coach. If you don't believe me, go ask those
- 45:06Speaker 1: people at Oklahoma who were offended by the way he
- 45:09Speaker 1: left and hate the fact that he took Caleb Williams,
- 45:13Speaker 1: but thought they could get another coach of that level.
- 45:18Speaker 2: And I would also make.
- 45:19Speaker 1: The argument that The fact that he ran away from
- 45:21Speaker 1: Oklahoma the way that he did. People don't leave jobs
- 45:24Speaker 1: like Oklahoma to go take jobs like USC. That's just
- 45:26Speaker 1: not how that works. They were going to the SEC
- 45:29Speaker 1: and he was afraid that they would not be able
- 45:31Speaker 1: to compete. And so he ran to the Pac-12 where
- 45:33Speaker 1: they are no longer because they're now in the Big Ten.
- 45:36Speaker 2: And it's fair to ask if they can compete.
- 45:38Speaker 4: Right.
- 45:39Speaker 2: That job to me is tricky because.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Really do it the way people expect. You have to
- 45:44Speaker 1: get all the good players from Southern California.
- 45:46Speaker 3: And people have to like you, which people do.
- 45:48Speaker 2: People do not like him.
- 45:49Speaker 3: People, he seems uninterested and above the people stuff.
- 45:55Speaker 1: I keep telling people part of this job is managing
- 45:58Speaker 1: the down times, right? And he's poor at that. He's
- 46:02Speaker 1: snippy about those things. He's not accountable. When it comes
- 46:05Speaker 1: to us, when he gets.
- 46:06Speaker 3: Really, he gets really defensive about like people filming practices
- 46:10Speaker 3: and all sorts.
- 46:10Speaker 4: Of weird stuff.
- 46:11Speaker 1: And that, that, that attitude doesn't work at that job,
- 46:15Speaker 1: but who got $ 70 million? Also shout out to Dan Lanning,
- 46:20Speaker 1: who was like, come to Oregon. If you want to win,
- 46:22Speaker 1: go to USC. If you want to go to a
- 46:24Speaker 1: Chris Brown concert, how random some recruit must've been like, yeah, man,
- 46:28Speaker 1: he took me to see Chris Brown and he has.
- 46:30Speaker 3: Never, he's still mad about it.
- 46:32Speaker 2: I would be too.
- 46:36Speaker 3: All right, let's move to the NBA. Big news for
- 46:39Speaker 3: skinny guys out there. Chet Holgren has bulked up in
- 46:42Speaker 3: the offseason from 213 pounds to 215 pounds. Bo, you've
- 46:47Speaker 3: always been a defender of skinny Chet. What was your
- 46:50Speaker 3: thought about this news?
- 46:51Speaker 2: Man, y'all don't know how hard it is, man. That's
- 46:54Speaker 2: all I'm saying. He trying. He putting in that work, right?
- 46:58Speaker 1: That being said, his problem is not that he's too skinny.
- 47:02Speaker 1: His problem is Victor Wimbanyama.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Like, if it wasn't for Victor, everything, the chat thing's
- 47:09Speaker 2: going great. They got a championship.
- 47:11Speaker 1: He's been, like, an All-NBA Defensive Player of the Year
- 47:14Speaker 1: caliber sort of dude.
- 47:16Speaker 2: His career is going to end with him in the
- 47:17Speaker 2: Hall of Fame. He just, why not? Why not?
- 47:24Speaker 1: All he's got to do is make some combination of
- 47:26Speaker 1: five first-team, second-team All-NBAs.
- 47:29Speaker 2: And what if he racks up another championship or two?
- 47:33Speaker 1: Like, I think in the end, I'm not saying he's
- 47:34Speaker 1: going to end up as, like, on the top 100
- 47:36Speaker 1: team in the 100th year of the NBA, but I
- 47:39Speaker 1: think he'll wind up in the Hall of Fame.
- 47:41Speaker 2: It's all gone well. He just has this guy that
- 47:44Speaker 2: despises him.
- 47:50Speaker 3: All right, Bo. A couple of voicemails here. A lot
- 47:53Speaker 3: of good ones. Here's our first.
- 47:55Speaker 6: What's up, Bo? This is Patrick in Northern Virginia. Shout
- 47:57Speaker 6: out to Ryan and also Gabe and Shannon. You and
- 48:01Speaker 6: Gabe helped get me through COVID. There's so many things
- 48:06Speaker 6: I wanted to say, but I think I've narrowed it down. First,
- 48:10Speaker 6: my dad thinks he invented a saying, what would Jesus do?
- 48:13Speaker 6: He was a Georgia Tech in the late 70s, early 80s,
- 48:16Speaker 6: and when those bracelets popped when I was a kid,
- 48:18Speaker 6: he was like, man, I came up with that. Also,
- 48:22Speaker 6: I was in the military, so names, I don't have
- 48:25Speaker 6: a lot of crazy first names. I'm a football official.
- 48:27Speaker 6: I did officiate a game with a white guy named
- 48:29Speaker 6: Anton the other day, but You need some crazy last
- 48:33Speaker 6: names in the military. There's a guy, the craziest one
- 48:36Speaker 6: that sticks out to me is Pancake. That was legit
- 48:37Speaker 6: the guy's last name.
- 48:38Speaker 3: Thought it was hilarious.
- 48:41Speaker 6: But then the question, I know you're pretty pro-black on everything,
- 48:46Speaker 6: but I remember you saying one time something to the
- 48:48Speaker 6: effect of, like, you thought the D9 or fraternity sororities
- 48:53Speaker 6: or something like educated gangs or something like that. I
- 48:56Speaker 6: was just looking for more information on how you came
- 48:58Speaker 6: to that conclusion. Anyway, great show. Thanks for everything you do.
- 49:01Speaker 7: Peace.
- 49:03Speaker 1: I don't know if I called them educated or gangs.
- 49:06Speaker 1: I think I said that I would rather join a
- 49:08Speaker 1: gang than to join a fraternity. I'm just saying, I've
- 49:14Speaker 1: hung out with frat dudes. I've hung out with gang members.
- 49:17Speaker 1: Gang members were a little bit cooler, like after they
- 49:19Speaker 1: chilled out a little bit. or whatever it is, right?
- 49:22Speaker 1: So I think that was what I said. I want
- 49:25Speaker 1: to get back to this thing, though, about... Yeah, by
- 49:28Speaker 1: the way, you get jumped in. You know what I'm saying?
- 49:32Speaker 1: They do weird shit.
- 49:33Speaker 2: With their hands. They wear the same colors.
- 49:35Speaker 1: They be wearing bandanas and stuff when they feel like
- 49:38Speaker 1: it or whatever it is.
- 49:40Speaker 2: I don't understand what you don't understand. Are you an iota?
- 49:44Speaker 1: Anyway, my buddy Morgan, he went to a college football
- 49:48Speaker 1: game in Canada.
- 49:53Speaker 2: And it looked like it was against two Quebecois. Deséquipe Quebecois.
- 50:03Speaker 1: The home team had three white Xaviers and two Raphaels.
- 50:10Speaker 1: The visiting team had two white corners and two Latino quarterbacks.
- 50:20Speaker 2: The French be throwing it off. You grow up in Louisiana. Ryan,
- 50:24Speaker 2: maybe you see this. You grow up in Louisiana.
- 50:26Speaker 1: You don't even think of Cedric as a black people's name.
- 50:28Speaker 3: I do not.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Shout out to my man Cedric Meyer in New Orleans
- 50:34Speaker 1: at the hat shop I went in there looking for
- 50:36Speaker 1: him and they told me I'd never have caught up
- 50:39Speaker 1: with him I've been trying to catch up with him
- 50:40Speaker 1: for like 15 years but they told me that he
- 50:43Speaker 1: was not as Cedric as I expected number one and
- 50:47Speaker 1: number two that he is surprised of.
- 50:51Speaker 2: A couple of mothers when he pulled up and they
- 50:53Speaker 2: were like oh.
- 50:58Speaker 3: Whew alright here's our next one Hey, Bill.
- 51:02Speaker 2: Hey, Ryan.
- 51:03Speaker 4: Tyler from Raleigh. I just listened to your segment about
- 51:07Speaker 4: NC State shit, and you, of course, got it spot on.
- 51:10Speaker 4: I'm a huge State fan, and I will never give
- 51:13Speaker 4: up that narcotic, no matter what. But you did say.
- 51:16Speaker 3: That's a choice.
- 51:17Speaker 4: Oh, it could have been worse.
- 51:19Speaker 3: Wait, no, it couldn't have.
- 51:20Speaker 4: Yes, it could have, though. You know, if Bill Belichick
- 51:24Speaker 4: had won in Clemson, that would have just ended us.
- 51:27Speaker 4: That would have been worse. But thank God Dabo pulled
- 51:31Speaker 4: one out because that would have happened right after that
- 51:35Speaker 4: thing that happened in Vanderbilt.
- 51:38Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 51:40Speaker 4: Anyway, love the show.
- 51:41Speaker 3: Thanks, bro.
- 51:43Speaker 1: So, guys, that's the thing about NC State fans that
- 51:46Speaker 1: you may not realize.
- 51:49Speaker 2: It's always about Carolina.
- 51:51Speaker 1: Even when they're not, it's always about Carolina.
- 51:55Speaker 3: It's the thing about a little brother. It's always about
- 51:58Speaker 3: Big Brother. It's, it's, it's, it's.
- 52:01Speaker 1: They hate, I don't know any group of people more
- 52:04Speaker 1: dedicated to hating someone else quite like NC State.
- 52:09Speaker 2: And this includes Ohio State and Michigan.
- 52:13Speaker 3: Auburn, Alabama.
- 52:14Speaker 1: Yes. nobody is as dedicated as these people are to
- 52:19Speaker 1: hating the other side. There was a, I don't know
- 52:22Speaker 1: if he said it was a 30 for 30, I
- 52:23Speaker 1: think it was called survive in advance. And it was
- 52:25Speaker 1: about the 1983 NC state championship team. And one of
- 52:28Speaker 1: my buddies, I remember he went to a screening of
- 52:31Speaker 1: it that they had in Raleigh and there was louder
- 52:34Speaker 1: applause in that building for beating North Carolina in the
- 52:37Speaker 1: ACC tournament than there was for winning.
- 52:40Speaker 2: The national championship.
- 52:42Speaker 3: Their only national championship, correct?
- 52:44Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 52:44Speaker 2: They got two.
- 52:45Speaker 3: They got two. They got two.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Well, one of them is the David Thompson, like one
- 52:49Speaker 2: of the greatest teams of all time.
- 52:51Speaker 1: They had an undefeated season in 73, I want to say.
- 52:54Speaker 1: And I think they were on like some kind of
- 52:55Speaker 1: probation national championship in 1974.
- 52:58Speaker 2: And then they won the national championship in 1983.
- 53:02Speaker 5: And.
- 53:05Speaker 3: Also beat UNC.
- 53:08Speaker 2: That also happened.
- 53:09Speaker 5: Yes.
- 53:10Speaker 3: All right. Here's our last one.
- 53:12Speaker 7: Hey, Bomani. Hey, Ryan, this is Dave from Las Vegas.
- 53:16Speaker 7: Long time, first time using that old slogan there. So
- 53:22Speaker 7: I had a question for you. You know, when you
- 53:24Speaker 7: talked about Jed York getting arrested in the trailer park,
- 53:30Speaker 7: you mentioned that he was from Youngstown, Ohio. But it
- 53:33Speaker 7: leads me to wonder, knowing what we know about Youngstown,
- 53:38Speaker 7: who do you think you would not really want to
- 53:42Speaker 7: have problems with? someone from Youngstown, Ohio, or someone from Kinston,
- 53:49Speaker 7: North Carolina. Keep doing great work. Love listening to y'all.
- 53:54Speaker 5: Bye.
- 53:56Speaker 1: So the difference to me about that is the person
- 54:01Speaker 1: in Youngstown may have somebody come see me. Kinston got
- 54:06Speaker 1: a DIY attitude when it comes to it. You understand
- 54:10Speaker 1: what I'm saying? They in it for the love of
- 54:13Speaker 1: the game. I also, before we go, because you said
- 54:16Speaker 1: Las Vegas, almost messed up. Ryan, it was New Orleans
- 54:20Speaker 1: versus Las Vegas in football this weekend. And I feel
- 54:24Speaker 1: like somebody's granted like New Orleans versus Las Vegas.
- 54:26Speaker 2: The only winner is the devil. But anyway, the Las
- 54:32Speaker 2: Vegas Raiders.
- 54:33Speaker 3: The only winner was... The opposite of the devil, Kirk Cousins.
- 54:36Speaker 1: The Raiders are 3-0, and Kirk Cousins has thrown three touchdowns.
- 54:40Speaker 1: Three touchdowns just rolled off my tongue. Has thrown three
- 54:44Speaker 1: touchdowns in all of the games. The 3-0 Raiders are
- 54:50Speaker 1: going to play against the 3-0 Chiefs.
- 54:53Speaker 2: My man Logan hit me and.
- 54:54Speaker 1: Is like, hey, how excited should I get about Kirk Cousins?
- 54:57Speaker 1: I'm like, what are you talking about how excited you
- 54:58Speaker 1: should get about Kirk Cousins? And my thought is this
- 55:01Speaker 1: will answer itself. I don't need to give them any
- 55:03Speaker 1: concrete answer. If they mess around and somehow beat the Chiefs.
- 55:08Speaker 2: Bruh.
- 55:10Speaker 4: Bruh.
- 55:13Speaker 2: However, right.
- 55:14Speaker 1: How many wins do the Raiders have to rack up
- 55:17Speaker 1: for you to say don't trade Max Crosby?
- 55:19Speaker 2: Like how many wins are they going to have to
- 55:21Speaker 2: rack up before we talk about them at the beginning
- 55:24Speaker 2: of the show? I guess it'll just be next week.
- 55:27Speaker 3: If they beat the Chiefs, they shall.
- 55:29Speaker 2: Right, but that doesn't mean you'll believe. Like, what will
- 55:32Speaker 2: it take?
- 55:32Speaker 1: How many wins do they have to get for somebody
- 55:35Speaker 1: to believe they could do this?
- 55:36Speaker 2: Like, I remember the year the Falcons went to the
- 55:38Speaker 2: Super Bowl in 1998.
- 55:40Speaker 1: They were something in two, I want to say, but
- 55:45Speaker 1: nobody believed until they beat the 49ers at home.
- 55:49Speaker 2: But that was after they were like seven and two
- 55:51Speaker 2: or eight and two or something like that. We wouldn't
- 55:53Speaker 2: fall in for that shit. Wait, wait, wait. What do
- 55:57Speaker 2: they got to do? What if they're 6-3? You believe
- 56:00Speaker 2: in it? Because I'm not.
- 56:04Speaker 4: Right?
- 56:04Speaker 3: 9-2?
- 56:07Speaker 2: They have to.
- 56:08Speaker 3: 9-2 and they have to beat two of the signature quarterbacks.
- 56:13Speaker 3: So Mahomes and someone else on their schedule. Okay.
- 56:16Speaker 2: So I'm just going to run through this because, oh,
- 56:18Speaker 2: it's got to get a little dicey. They got the
- 56:21Speaker 2: Chiefs at the Patriots, which looks like a pick-em. Home
- 56:25Speaker 2: for the Bills.
- 56:26Speaker 1: Home for the Rams, at the Jets, at the 49ers,
- 56:30Speaker 1: home for the Seahawks, at the Broncos.
- 56:36Speaker 2: I'm just saying this.
- 56:37Speaker 1: If they can survive that run of games at like
- 56:40Speaker 1: 500 between them, or maybe 500 overall, then they get
- 56:44Speaker 1: the Browns, the sorry Chargers, the Broncos, the sorry Titans,
- 56:48Speaker 1: the sorry Cardinals before they.
- 56:51Speaker 2: Hey, man!
- 56:52Speaker 3: That could be 11-6.
- 56:55Speaker 2: So how are they going to go 6-11?
- 56:59Speaker 3: Maybe by choice. By training Kirk Cousins and Max Crosby.
- 57:02Speaker 5: Yes.
- 57:03Speaker 2: And I'll tell you this, though.
- 57:04Speaker 1: The best thing about this is they will not have
- 57:07Speaker 1: to play Fernando Mendoza this year, I don't think. Which I,
- 57:11Speaker 1: without great evidence, believe is probably the best thing for
- 57:14Speaker 1: a quarterback. But hey, ladies and gentlemen, thanks so much
- 57:17Speaker 1: for joining us here on The Right Time. We do
- 57:19Speaker 1: this four days a week. Ryan Brumley had everything behind
- 57:22Speaker 1: the scenes.

- 57:35Speaker 1: of days.
- 57:36Speaker 2: Take it easy. This has been a Playmaker Production.
