- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to. Well, hey, we'll get to the governor's race.
- 0:09Speaker 1: We'll get to mom, Donnie. And the shutdown looks like
- 0:12Speaker 1: it's ending. It's coming to an end. The first big
- 0:16Speaker 1: vote last night. They'll have it wrapped up, probably by Wednesday.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Schumer getting a lot of flak from Democrats. The leading
- 0:23Speaker 1: Democrat right now probably Gavin Newsom. He's the leader of
- 0:27Speaker 1: the twenty twenty eight bunch, and he tweets out just
- 0:29Speaker 1: one word pathetic. Pathetic. So they'll be coming after Schumer,
- 0:35Speaker 1: which is good. He deserves it. And it's gonna get settled.
- 0:41Speaker 1: And then like every other shutdown we've had, how many
- 0:45Speaker 1: of you have been through, You've been through fourteen of them.
- 0:48Speaker 1: You know, we'll just forget about it. Everything, we'll get
- 0:50Speaker 1: back to normal. It's just good for the Democrats have
- 0:53Speaker 1: a playbook. They all get their assignment. If you're watching
- 0:56Speaker 1: the Sunday shows yesterday, you may have to notice that
- 1:02Speaker 1: they're not only saying the same thing, they're using these
- 1:03Speaker 1: same exact phrases. It's all coordinated. They do a conference
- 1:07Speaker 1: call and it comes from K Street in Washington, DC.
- 1:12Speaker 1: All the Democrats are given their assignment what to say,
- 1:14Speaker 1: on the shows the phrases to use one of them,
- 1:18Speaker 1: which you saw every Democrat use on the Sunday shows.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Somewhere in the middle area said, if Donald Trump didn't
- 1:24Speaker 1: spend all his time on the golf course. You saw
- 1:26Speaker 1: that like a fourteen times on those Sunday shows. You
- 1:29Speaker 1: heard Adam Shift sit, you heard Hakim Jeffrey said, every
- 1:32Speaker 1: Democrat used that phrase. Well, he didn't spend all his
- 1:34Speaker 1: time on the golf course. Now, obviously coordinated, but also
- 1:40Speaker 1: what does it mean does he spend all his time
- 1:42Speaker 1: on the golf course. No, obviously not. You know, he
- 1:45Speaker 1: plays golf on Saturday and Sunday, and I've played golf
- 1:49Speaker 1: with him a lot of times. He plays fast. It's
- 1:51Speaker 1: not four hours, it's two hours. Maybe it's quick. He
- 1:54Speaker 1: plays quick. So you're entitled on Saturday and Sunday to
- 1:59Speaker 1: take the day off. You know, Obama liked to play basketball.
- 2:04Speaker 1: He didn't like golf. He liked to play basketball. He
- 2:06Speaker 1: even had a basketball court, put it in the White
- 2:09Speaker 1: House so we could play basketball, and Saturday and Sunday
- 2:12Speaker 1: he would go on that basketball court and play basketball.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I never heard anybody say, well, he didn't spend all
- 2:16Speaker 1: this time playing basketball. Every president does something on the weekends.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Every president has a hobby of some kind. Nixon liked
- 2:24Speaker 1: to read Saturday and Sunday, sit around and read. They
- 2:28Speaker 1: didn't say, well, he didn't spend all his time reading.
- 2:30Speaker 1: You're entitled on Saturday and Sunday to take a couple
- 2:33Speaker 1: of hours on Saturday and Sunday to do whatever your
- 2:36Speaker 1: hobby is so a crazy talking point they were using.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Nancy Pelosi is leaving. That's the good news. The fascinating
- 2:45Speaker 1: part is her amazing career in the stock market. She
- 2:52Speaker 1: is up over the last few years. Warren Buffett, I
- 2:55Speaker 1: think it's up like four hundred percent or something. Is
- 2:59Speaker 1: port her portfolio. This is not a joke. Her portfolio
- 3:02Speaker 1: is up seventeen thousand percent. Seventeen thousand percent. That's the
- 3:07Speaker 1: greatest ever trading record in the history of the stock exchange.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Nobody has ever been up like that, No hedge fund,
- 3:15Speaker 1: no anybody. Now, obviously she did it with insider trading.
- 3:19Speaker 1: When you are in Congress, you get access to all
- 3:23Speaker 1: kinds of information before anybody else. You know what company's
- 3:27Speaker 1: going to get a ruling against them, what company's going
- 3:30Speaker 1: to get a ruling for them, and you can trade
- 3:33Speaker 1: based on that. It's legal. I don't know how this
- 3:35Speaker 1: ever happened, but it's legal for people in Congress to
- 3:38Speaker 1: engage in insider trading. It's got to be outlawed. But
- 3:41Speaker 1: the only people can outlawd the congressmen themselves. So Pelosi
- 3:45Speaker 1: was the king, the queen of insider trading. Her portfolio
- 3:49Speaker 1: is up seventeen thousand percent. She's made hundreds of millions
- 3:53Speaker 1: of dollars. In Congress, she was asked about it.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Oh, first, your career, has her husband ever maybe stock
- 3:59Speaker 2: purchase of SALB some information you received from you?
- 4:01Speaker 1: No, absolutely not no, No, you're up seventeen thousand percent.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Did you use your insider notes? Well no, no, no,
- 4:12Speaker 1: just sheare brilliance on her part, but it's done all
- 4:16Speaker 1: the time, not on a smaller scale. You got this
- 4:18Speaker 1: new Jersey governor elect, Mikey Cheryl, who's brand new, just started.
- 4:23Speaker 1: But in her brief little time in Congress, she somehow
- 4:26Speaker 1: made seven million trading stock, just like that seven million,
- 4:31Speaker 1: And our friend down the hall there, Charlemagne, asked her,
- 4:35Speaker 1: but did you make seven million trading stocks?
- 4:37Speaker 3: There is no individual stock trading. It's not as if
- 4:40Speaker 3: I go sit on the House Arm Service Committee and
- 4:42Speaker 3: suddenly I'm trading Boeing or something. There's none of that.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I'm totally out of individual stocks. And I, like I said,
- 4:48Speaker 3: I think every member of Congress should be well, did you.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Make seven million in stock trees at all?
- 4:52Speaker 3: Well?
- 4:54Speaker 1: I haven't.
- 4:57Speaker 3: I don't believe I did, but I'd have to go
- 5:00Speaker 3: see what that was alluding to it.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Now, you know how much money you got to have
- 5:05Speaker 1: to not notice if you've made seven million to not
- 5:09Speaker 1: notice seven million showing up in your bank account or
- 5:12Speaker 1: your your stock account. If you didn't notice seven million,
- 5:16Speaker 1: you got to be worth hundreds of millions not to
- 5:19Speaker 1: notice seven million. I mean, if you're Elon Musk and
- 5:22Speaker 1: an extra seven million showed up in your stock portfolio,
- 5:25Speaker 1: you might not note. Who's going to notice you got
- 5:27Speaker 1: five hundred billion? Who's gonna know a seven million? But
- 5:31Speaker 1: she didn't notice the seven million anyway?
- 5:34Speaker 4: Hey.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yeah, the good news is there's some indictments coming. The
- 5:38Speaker 1: Grand Jury approved subpoenas for John Brennan, the dirty former
- 5:42Speaker 1: CIA director. But it looks like they're going after Strack
- 5:45Speaker 1: and Page all the people that did that disgusting Russia
- 5:49Speaker 1: witch hunt hoax. One by one, they'll be going after
- 5:52Speaker 1: all of them. So that's that's good news. Expect that
- 5:55Speaker 1: pretty soon. So the race for governor, you got Hocel
- 6:00Speaker 1: in trouble. Obviously, people can't stand Hokel and she's embracing
- 6:06Speaker 1: Mam Donnie. You know, they had that big Democrat conference
- 6:09Speaker 1: in Puerto Rico. They called the somos, whatever that stands for,
- 6:13Speaker 1: but it's basically they say it's to relax in a conference.
- 6:17Speaker 1: It's a conference when they're all to talk to each other.
- 6:20Speaker 1: But as Curtis would say, it's whining, dining, and pocket
- 6:23Speaker 1: lining kind of a deal. And they had to do
- 6:28Speaker 1: a couple of joint appearances and Hokel was all over
- 6:31Speaker 1: Mam Donnie, introducing them, praising them, holding hands with him.
- 6:35Speaker 1: So you'll see Stephanic, at least Stephonic running against Nancy
- 6:42Speaker 1: Hochel Kathy Hochel for governor. This could be an interesting race.
- 6:46Speaker 2: This is a toxic governor who has a record of
- 6:49Speaker 2: delivering the highest taxes in the nation, of hurting hard
- 6:52Speaker 2: working New Yorkers, of turning her back on law enforcement
- 6:55Speaker 2: officers and small businesses. New York is in catastrophe because
- 6:58Speaker 2: of Kathy Hochel's lead nastaphonic.
- 7:01Speaker 1: She's Ferosias going after Hokel and she's going to time
- 7:04Speaker 1: the Mom Donnie, this was not.
- 7:05Speaker 2: A mandate, even though Mom Domi is claiming such. He
- 7:08Speaker 2: barely got over fifty percent, So that is really a
- 7:11Speaker 2: historically low performance for someone who won the Democrat primary.
- 7:15Speaker 2: That means nearly half of New York City voters, which
- 7:17Speaker 2: is traditionally a Democrat city, voted against Mom Dommi because
- 7:21Speaker 2: they know he is so radical, he's out of touch
- 7:23Speaker 2: with hard working families, with small businesses who are already
- 7:27Speaker 2: crushed by the highest taxes in the nation.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Yeah, she's right, Mom Donnie. He did get a majority
- 7:33Speaker 1: fifty point four percent, but remember he was up against
- 7:38Speaker 1: the biggest loser in the world, Andrew Cuomo. Curtis is
- 7:41Speaker 1: a good candidate, but remember everybody on earth, every major figure,
- 7:46Speaker 1: was telling you not to vote for Curtis, so nobody
- 7:49Speaker 1: could have I mean, there's nobody in the history of
- 7:51Speaker 1: an election they ever had to shoot greased for them
- 7:54Speaker 1: more than Cuomo. I mean, the runway was cleared for
- 7:57Speaker 1: him and he still couldn't pull it off. So that's
- 8:00Speaker 1: how Mam Donnie won. Stephanic will be a big, big,
- 8:04Speaker 1: tough challenger to Hochell.
- 8:05Speaker 2: She's an accidental governor. She's only in this position because
- 8:09Speaker 2: she was Cuomo's lieutenant governor and when New Yorkers were
- 8:12Speaker 2: looking for strong leadership from a governor. Not to bend
- 8:15Speaker 2: the knee to Zorn Mamdami, Kathy Hochel, Benthany, Why did
- 8:19Speaker 2: she do that? Because she is hemorrhaging support even in
- 8:22Speaker 2: her own party among Democrats.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Yeah, now she's going to have a lot of people
- 8:26Speaker 1: going after But who's going to go after her? Aoc Well,
- 8:29Speaker 1: a lot of people don't take her seriously. Schumer is
- 8:31Speaker 1: an old, dried up fossil Hakeem Jefferies. He talks like
- 8:35Speaker 1: a robut he talks as he's such a robotic guy.
- 8:37Speaker 1: He's already going after Stephanic.
- 8:39Speaker 5: You know, at least Stephonic is nothing more than a
- 8:41Speaker 5: handmaiden for Donald Trump's extreme policy. She's a sickophant who
- 8:46Speaker 5: has been a repeated rubber stamp for Donald Trump's extreme agenda.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Yes, he's he's one of those guys on the conference call.
- 8:54Speaker 1: He repeats whatever he's told to. If the President didn't
- 8:57Speaker 1: spend all his time on a golf course. Blah blah blah.
- 8:59Speaker 1: And she's supposed to use the word extreme. President Trump's
- 9:02Speaker 1: extreme agenda with his extreme policies is extreme. Maga extreme magit.
- 9:07Speaker 1: What is so extreme? What extreme policies? What's the most
- 9:11Speaker 1: extreme thing? What ice simply enforcing the law? Following the law?
- 9:16Speaker 1: That's extreme? Since when there'll be ads against Hochel.
- 9:20Speaker 6: Now Elise Stephonic is running for governor of New York.
- 9:24Speaker 1: To do what he's This is a this is a
- 9:26Speaker 1: hocal ad. This is hokal's actually used against Tephonic.
- 9:29Speaker 6: Now Elise Stevonic is running for governor of New York
- 9:32Speaker 6: to do what she's always done. Put Trump first.
- 9:36Speaker 1: She is phenomenal, She is a friend of.
- 9:38Speaker 6: Mine, phenomenal at putting Trump ahead of you.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Oh my god, she knows Trump. That's going to be
- 9:44Speaker 1: their whole campaign. So here's the problem for Republicans. You're
- 9:48Speaker 1: going to have possibly a big primary because Bruce Blakeman,
- 9:51Speaker 1: the brilliant county executive, best county executive in America Nassau County.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I hear he wants to run. So if he runs
- 10:00Speaker 1: against Stephonic, that is one tough choice. Stephonic everybody loves
- 10:04Speaker 1: she's a pit bull. She's great, But it's Blakeman who's
- 10:07Speaker 1: the actual executive, who has actual management experience running a county,
- 10:11Speaker 1: which is like being the governor of Nassau County. So
- 10:15Speaker 1: he's the guy with more experience. He's the best county executive.
- 10:17Speaker 1: He'd be a great governor. That's a tough choice. That's
- 10:21Speaker 1: a very very tough primary. Now a Stephanic would probably
- 10:25Speaker 1: do better upstate because she's got that kind of an
- 10:29Speaker 1: upstate kind of a sound, and she talks kind of fashions.
- 10:31Speaker 1: She's very upstate. Bruce Blakeman is more of a sophisticated
- 10:34Speaker 1: city slicker type of guy. But half the votes for
- 10:38Speaker 1: governor are right here in New York City. You got
- 10:39Speaker 1: to do really well in New York City. I would
- 10:41Speaker 1: imagine Blakeman does much better in New York City than Stefanic.
- 10:47Speaker 1: He'd have to go upstate in campaign, but got a
- 10:50Speaker 1: hell of a hell of a resume. But this is
- 10:52Speaker 1: a really tough one for Republicans, a really tough primary
- 10:57Speaker 1: coming up next year. Hey, Rocket Roll Hall of Fame,
- 11:02Speaker 1: you know it gets tough. They've cleaned it up. It's
- 11:05Speaker 1: a much better Rock and Roll Hall of Fame now
- 11:06Speaker 1: than it was a few years ago. But it's tough
- 11:09Speaker 1: with you like in the year, you know, the first
- 11:11Speaker 1: year rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Elvis Beatles. You know,
- 11:13Speaker 1: you put everybody in, but when you get the year
- 11:15Speaker 1: forty five, you know, you're starting to run out of people.
- 11:18Speaker 1: So it was it was a bad company. I mean
- 11:23Speaker 1: they were okay, bad company, but rock and Roll Hall
- 11:26Speaker 1: of Fame. But then you got to perform the hits
- 11:30Speaker 1: of bad company. It's okay. I mean they're not the Beatles,
- 11:33Speaker 1: the bad Company, They're not the Rolling Stones. You know,
- 11:36Speaker 1: year thirty seven you run out of pa Hey, we
- 11:39Speaker 1: love Cyndi Lauper. Who could not like Cyndi Lauper. She
- 11:41Speaker 1: got in.
- 11:42Speaker 4: I know that I stand on the shoulders of the
- 11:45Speaker 4: women in the industry that came before me, and my
- 11:49Speaker 4: shoulders are broad enough to have the women that come
- 11:53Speaker 4: after me stand online. And and yeah, it's that I
- 12:00Speaker 4: thought was really important, which is why I really came
- 12:03Speaker 4: here tonight, is to tell you that the little kid
- 12:08Speaker 4: and me still believes that rock and roll can save
- 12:13Speaker 4: the world. So I just want to say, now, of
- 12:17Speaker 4: all times, let's come together again and do good in
- 12:22Speaker 4: the world because he needs us.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll get right on that, but we love her.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Then they got a lot of great performances on the
- 12:30Speaker 1: show Toll Be, you know, tightened up, edited down be,
- 12:33Speaker 1: a great TV special. Elton John performed, Elton John did
- 12:39Speaker 1: the Beach Boys hit. Elton John still sounds good. He
- 12:42Speaker 1: lost a lot of rains in his voice, but still
- 12:43Speaker 1: sounds good. David Letterman there, Santa Claus himself. Warren Zevon
- 12:49Speaker 1: gave Letteriman his guitar. I guess he knew he was
- 12:54Speaker 1: didn't have much longer to go and told Letterman to
- 12:56Speaker 1: take care of it. He brought it to the ceremony.
- 12:58Speaker 1: It was used and one of the suns, Well, here's
- 13:01Speaker 1: let him in on that show.
- 13:02Speaker 4: And then the thing about enjoy every sandwich. You know
- 13:05Speaker 4: that that's easy, but it's deeply meaningful.
- 13:08Speaker 1: And there's not a person in this room who hasn't
- 13:10Speaker 1: considered that.
- 13:12Speaker 6: But nobody can hang on to that on a daily basis.
- 13:15Speaker 2: But by God, isn't that true of life around the planet.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know what he's talking about, but it
- 13:21Speaker 1: sounds good. But the beard, the beard, I don't know.
- 13:24Speaker 1: He said he has that Beard because he doesn't want
- 13:26Speaker 1: you to ever confuse him with the old David Letterman.
- 13:28Speaker 1: He's like a new, different guy. All right, Hey, Mom
- 13:31Speaker 1: Donnie is putting together his team. The five or six
- 13:36Speaker 1: names we've seen already are all ex de Blasio administration.
- 13:39Speaker 1: One is from the Adams administration. So it's gonna be bad.
- 13:43Speaker 1: But again, if it's all these Deblasio people picking de
- 13:46Speaker 1: Blasio administration people, we got through eight years at the Blasia.
- 13:50Speaker 1: We'll get through this. Now here's the interesting part. Brad Lander,
- 13:54Speaker 1: who's a really awful, awful guy. You saw him in
- 13:57Speaker 1: the primaries, really kooky, left wing, disgusting. He's Jewish, but
- 14:01Speaker 1: he embraced every anti Semitic, stupid, anti Israel thing in
- 14:06Speaker 1: the world. So people really just came to really dislike
- 14:10Speaker 1: brad Lander. But he was a big help to Mom
- 14:13Speaker 1: Donnie in the primary. But they've made it clear no
- 14:17Speaker 1: brad Lander in the administration. He's out. They have kicked
- 14:20Speaker 1: him to the curb. So there's one good thing Mom
- 14:23Speaker 1: Donnie has done. Why would he do that? Is he
- 14:28Speaker 1: just so? Does he not have any gratitude? Is he
- 14:31Speaker 1: not loyal? Well, people said that behind the scenes brad
- 14:34Speaker 1: Lander who's an obnoxious guy, really obnoxious guy, they say.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Behind the scenes. He was running around telling everybody he'll
- 14:41Speaker 1: be running city hall. He'll be running things in a
- 14:44Speaker 1: Mam Donnie. Well it got back to Mam Donnie. Brad
- 14:46Speaker 1: Lander is out, so that's good. Hey, we'll take some
- 14:50Speaker 1: calls in a minute. Eight hundred three to two one
- 14:53Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 14:56Speaker 1: one zero seven ten
