- 0:19Speaker 1: As we settle in for our devotion time together today
- 0:22Speaker 1: here on our podcast, the word comes straight from the
- 0:26Speaker 1: Lord this morning, and I just want to begin by
- 0:29Speaker 1: telling you what the Lord has laid on my heart
- 0:32Speaker 1: this morning, that I believe really needs to speak to someone.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Don't know who it is. You know, we broadcast in
- 0:39Speaker 1: different places, different countries, different states, but you've got nothing
- 0:45Speaker 1: to prove this morning. In Galatians chapter one and verse
- 0:51Speaker 1: number ten, Apostle Paul writes a very powerful verse here
- 0:56Speaker 1: that I believe, really deep down in my space, I
- 1:00Speaker 1: know somebody needs to hear this this morning. I think
- 1:04Speaker 1: we all need to hear it. I know I need
- 1:06Speaker 1: to hear it myself from time to time just to
- 1:10Speaker 1: remind me. But perhaps this will really speak to your
- 1:14Speaker 1: heart this morning. In Galations chapter one and verse number ten,
- 1:18Speaker 1: he says, for do I now persuade men or God?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Or do I seek to please men? For if I
- 1:28Speaker 1: yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
- 1:35Speaker 1: There comes a point in our life, particularly in our
- 1:38Speaker 1: walk with God, when we have to could become very
- 1:42Speaker 1: comfortable with this one special truth. You have nothing to prove,
- 1:51Speaker 1: nothing to prove to people who misunderstands. You nothing to
- 1:55Speaker 1: prove to the people who question your motives. There's nothing
- 1:59Speaker 1: to prove to them those who think you should be
- 2:01Speaker 1: further along in life, or doing something different in life,
- 2:04Speaker 1: or living according to their expectations. Now, that doesn't mean
- 2:10Speaker 1: that we become arrogant or unwilling to listen. That's not
- 2:13Speaker 1: what I'm saying. It also doesn't mean that we don't
- 2:16Speaker 1: care at all what people's view of us is. It
- 2:21Speaker 1: simply means this that we stop allowing the opinions of
- 2:25Speaker 1: others to determine our worth, our direction, and especially our peace,
- 2:33Speaker 1: especially when God has told us who we are in
- 2:36Speaker 1: Christ Jesus. The truth is that we can. You could
- 2:43Speaker 1: wear yourself out this morning. You could wear yourself out
- 2:45Speaker 1: trying to prove that you are good enough, are defending
- 2:50Speaker 1: decisions that God has already given you peace about. We
- 2:54Speaker 1: are not called to compare our lives to someone else's
- 2:57Speaker 1: life and wonder if we are doing enough, accomplishing enough,
- 3:01Speaker 1: or becoming enough. Instead, today the Lord wants to remind
- 3:06Speaker 1: all of us that we don't have to deliver some
- 3:09Speaker 1: special performance to have a place at his table. I
- 3:13Speaker 1: need to tell you this morning that Jesus already knows
- 3:16Speaker 1: who you are. He knows your heart when others misunderstand it.
- 3:21Speaker 1: He knows your intentions when others questioned them. He knows
- 3:26Speaker 1: the battles that you have fought that nobody else saw
- 3:29Speaker 1: you fighting. And he knows how far He has brought you,
- 3:34Speaker 1: even when someone else only notices how far you have
- 3:37Speaker 1: to go. I hope that speaks to you this morning,
- 3:40Speaker 1: because if you remember, David spent years king. David spent
- 3:44Speaker 1: years being overlooked, questioned, criticized, even pursued by people who
- 3:50Speaker 1: misunderstood what God was trying to do in his life. Ah.
- 3:55Speaker 1: But yet David didn't have to convince everyone that he
- 3:58Speaker 1: was supposed to be the king. God had already anointed
- 4:02Speaker 1: him to be the king, and that was enough for him.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And it should be enough for us to know who
- 4:10Speaker 1: God says we are. That's where our peace should come from.
- 4:15Speaker 1: What God has established and clarified does not require us
- 4:19Speaker 1: to constantly explain it to other people. Not that we
- 4:23Speaker 1: can't speak it, not that we can't talk about it.
- 4:26Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, God has the
- 4:28Speaker 1: final say of who we are, what our calling is,
- 4:31Speaker 1: what our expectations are, You don't have to prove your calling.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Just walk faithfully in your calling. You don't have to
- 4:39Speaker 1: prove your value to anyone, just because your value was
- 4:43Speaker 1: settled upon Calvary when God gave his only begotten son
- 4:47Speaker 1: for your life, and that ought to be enough. You
- 4:51Speaker 1: don't have to prove that God is working in your life.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Just keep walking with him and eventually the fruit will
- 4:58Speaker 1: speak for itself. Maybe one of the most freeing prayers
- 5:02Speaker 1: that we could pray this morning together is this, Lord,
- 5:07Speaker 1: deliver me from the need to prove myself to people
- 5:11Speaker 1: who does not see my true worth. Because when we
- 5:15Speaker 1: know who we are in Christ, we can stop living
- 5:19Speaker 1: for applause. We can stop fearing criticism, We can stop
- 5:23Speaker 1: exhausting ourselves trying to convince people of something that God
- 5:27Speaker 1: already knows. Today, walk humbly, love people, stay teachable, be faithful,
- 5:35Speaker 1: be kind, but leave the proving part to God because
- 5:41Speaker 1: you have nothing to prove this morning. Just do your
- 5:45Speaker 1: best to be your best, and God will take care
- 5:50Speaker 1: of the rest. Today. You be safe, you be strong,
- 5:55Speaker 1: and you be blessed, and you be you. You don't
- 5:59Speaker 1: have to compare, you don't have to analyze, you don't
- 6:03Speaker 1: have to explain. Just be the best version of yourself
- 6:06Speaker 1: that you can be, and God will take care of
- 6:11Speaker 1: everything else. Lordouelle will see you back here again tomorrow,
- 6:15Speaker 1: and until then, have a great day.
