- 0:29From the chicken coop, EV Anybody.
- 0:31Alright? Today I want to share with you a
- 0:33very cool show. We have been watching on Netflix
- 0:36called McGregor forever and it's all about MMA fighter, Colin
- 0:43McGregor and he is just an issue.
- 0:48Shining example of so many things that we talked about on
- 0:52this podcast all the time. However one purpose of talking
- 0:56about him today is there's this one particular episode.
- 0:59It's a documentary and it Like I think it's four episodes long
- 1:02maybe five but the one that I want I want to talk to you about
- 1:05the point. I want to talk to you about
- 1:07today is he makes reference to the fact that he lost a fight
- 1:14and when you watch the documentary it takes you through
- 1:16the process of him, getting ready him going into the fight
- 1:20and then him losing a fight and it was a significant fight and
- 1:24in that world and afterwards how he recovers Is and how he comes
- 1:32back from it and what he's, you know, talking about in the
- 1:35process of it. So fascinating, but there's this
- 1:38one line in it where he's like a couple lines.
- 1:41He says there's a little section of dialogue where he's saying,
- 1:44you know there, I knew exactly that I wasn't doing what I was
- 1:49supposed to be doing. He's like, I would, you know,
- 1:51say I was going to do something and then I wouldn't get up.
- 1:54I'd say I'm going to get up and work out, and then I wouldn't do
- 1:57it. I'd say go a little bit longer,
- 1:59but then I wouldn't do it. And No, it was my fault and he's
- 2:03like owning it he's completely and totally owning the loss,
- 2:06he's not saying anything other than it was always in his head.
- 2:11It was always in his head because he knew he was supposed
- 2:14to be doing little things. And he was cutting corners and
- 2:17he was just not doing the small steps.
- 2:20And it really got me thinking about how crazy we all are in
- 2:24that situation. We definitely do those same
- 2:28things we as human beings. We we all do those same things
- 2:32over and over. It might just not be preparing
- 2:34for a big fight. It might be for anything else,
- 2:37but we know we're not doing the things that we are supposed to
- 2:40be doing. We are not doing the little
- 2:42particular things that make us go from good to Great to
- 2:46outstanding. So I'll give you, I could give
- 2:49you a list of examples for myself where those things show
- 2:52up. And while I might get in a ton
- 2:55of steps and I certainly manage what I eat extraordinarily.
- 2:59Well, You know, I constantly am putting in the right amount of
- 3:06fuel and my body walking the steps and doing that stuff.
- 3:11I know for a fact I should be lifting weights because that's
- 3:15one thing that's extremely important to women as they get
- 3:18older is to lift weights if they want to be healthy.
- 3:21Now sure I'm lifting bags of feed and hay and all this stuff
- 3:24out here on the farm, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'm
- 3:28lifting weights too. Maintain my body a certain way
- 3:32and I think about it and I say I need to do it and it's on my
- 3:36list but it is the one thing that I will cut corners on
- 3:40because immediately there's not a repercussion from it so it's
- 3:46very easy to do that to yourself.
- 3:48Got me thinking about since we're at, you know, entering
- 3:51into the second half of the Year soon and it is a crazy week.
- 3:59I mean we've completed Essentially today, we've
- 4:01completed five months of the year and headed into that
- 4:056-month. I'm like, huh, well, what will
- 4:07be different in the second second?
- 4:09Second months in the second six months than it would be in the
- 4:14first. If I don't do something about it
- 4:17and when I watch the episode at all, jumped out to me and I
- 4:19said, gosh, I wonder you know who else is experiencing this
- 4:23and looking at themselves and saying, hey, this is something
- 4:26that I really have to pay attention to.
- 4:28This is something where I have to kind of Get myself and my
- 4:32head wrapped around this, so that I don't have these issues.
- 4:36And I think that watching, I'm first of all, we love to watch
- 4:40documentaries as a family, but it's just fascinating.
- 4:45When you have somebody that's willing to let you in their head
- 4:48like that, and the things that you learn from that, the things
- 4:52that you see, good, bad, the ugly, all of it is so profoundly
- 4:56impactful when you take it from the right place.
- 4:59So, for me, Here I am watching something that's supposed to be
- 5:02pure entertainment and I can see where my own failings are in it.
- 5:06That's a good show, it's moving you in the right direction and
- 5:09it made me think and it made me bring this to you.
- 5:12So my question for you, really boils down to where you cutting
- 5:16corners on the stuff that you know, you should be doing but
- 5:19you're not doing because that my friends is where the difference
- 5:23between good great. Note standing comes in where
- 5:26you're cutting the corners. So I'm going to be doing some
- 5:29adjusting I open up to you guys to be doing some adjusting, and
- 5:34let's just see where it goes from there because I promise you
- 5:37magic happens, when you fix those things, okay?
- 5:40My friends. I hope you have a blessed day
- 5:42and I will see you all tomorrow. Bye.
- 5:30I open up to you guys to be doing some adjusting, and let's
- 5:35just see where it goes from there because I promise you
- 5:37magic happens, when you fix those things, okay?
