- 0:00It's not like we should be waiting to feel joy or waiting to
- 0:03get back to ourselves
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: or waiting to figure this out.
- 0:06We need to figure out how to be joyful and grounded and
- 0:11regulated and feeling like
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: our best selves despite what's happening out in the world.
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: Welcome to the Joy Jolt.
- 0:18Your escape from the heaviness of the world and a place you
- 0:21come to reconnect.
- 0:22SPEAKER_02: Laugh and feel good again.
- 0:24SPEAKER_02: Woo!
- 0:27SPEAKER_02: All right, well, welcome to podcast number one of the Joy Jolt.
- 0:31SPEAKER_02: Joy Jolt.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: We're here, there's your Joy Jolt.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 0:36So some of you may have been following our previous iteration
- 0:43of our podcast,
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: which was That Explains a Lot.
- 0:46And we started that together because we knew we wanted to offer
- 0:50something to the
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: world and to women in particular.
- 0:53And so we just jumped in,
- 0:56you know,
- 0:57bit off more than we could chew,
- 0:58chewed like hell.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:01found our way through and what's come out the other side of
- 1:05that through all the
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: feedback and people that we've been talking to is the joy job.
- 1:11Yeah.
- 1:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:13SPEAKER_02: But we're living in a very heavy world.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: I don't know if anybody else has noticed.
- 1:17SPEAKER_02: Anybody?
- 1:17SPEAKER_02: Anybody out there?
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: Anybody know?
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: Is this thing on?
- 1:20SPEAKER_02: Do we know?
- 1:21SPEAKER_02: But I don't know about you,
- 1:22SPEAKER_02: but like I look at my life and my life is really good,
- 1:25SPEAKER_02: but the truth is the world around it is really heavy and
- 1:30And for a minute,
- 1:32Natalie and I were like,
- 1:33how do we contribute to this conversation?
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: And I'll be very transparent.
- 1:36SPEAKER_02: Both of us were like, oh, man, talking about joy feels frivolous.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: But then after being in this dynamic in this conversation,
- 1:45SPEAKER_02: we realized it's the most important conversation that we have.
- 1:51SPEAKER_02: as human beings and especially as women need to be having right now.
- 1:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:56SPEAKER_02: And so the joy was born.
- 1:59Because what we've also realized is that the world is not
- 2:04calming down anytime soon.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:07And so it's not like we should be waiting to feel joy or
- 2:11waiting to get back to
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: ourselves or waiting to figure this out.
- 2:14We need to figure out how to be joyful and grounded and
- 2:18regulated and feeling like
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: our best selves despite what's happening out in the world.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: We need to figure out.
- 2:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm going to amen.
- 2:27SPEAKER_02: That's really what I want.
- 2:28SPEAKER_02: And it's interesting because I think as a mother,
- 2:32SPEAKER_02: I'm looking at my children who are facing this world and I'm like,
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: whoa,
- 2:38SPEAKER_02: it's overwhelming what they're walking into.
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: But one of the things I know you've believed,
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: Natalie,
- 2:45SPEAKER_02: and I've believed,
- 2:45SPEAKER_02: I mean,
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: as transformational leaders and as coaches that really
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: Your life is not dependent on the external experience.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: Your life is not the external experience.
- 2:59SPEAKER_02: Your life is the privilege of the internal experience.
- 3:03SPEAKER_02: And at the core of that internal experience is your life force.
- 3:08SPEAKER_02: And your life force is your joy.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: It's that piece of you that is yours.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: And we,
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: being able to be connected to that and to expand that,
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: that's our own responsibility.
- 3:25you know it's our own choice and this is what we um are really
- 3:29stepping into and I
- 3:30think part of the process of getting through to the the joy
- 3:33jolt and and everything
- 3:35that we're starting to create which we're going to share with
- 3:37you in a moment but
- 3:38it was like well who are we serving like what how can we make a
- 3:43difference like
- 3:43what are the challenges that in this world how do we make a
- 3:47difference yeah
- 3:49How do we do that?
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:53And the thing is what we've realized and what the feedback
- 3:56we've got that a lot of
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: women are yearning for is connection.
- 4:01It is like we're entrepreneurs,
- 4:04we're mothers,
- 4:05we take on all of these roles and
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: And I don't know whether, I mean, I think it was the pandemic.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: It really did change the way that we connected with other human beings.
- 4:16And so even though we may be surrounded by a lot of people and
- 4:19there's a lot of,
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: busyness going on,
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: we feel lonely.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: You know,
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: we feel like we don't have,
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: girlfriends that we can drop into really deep conversation with,
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: or at least,
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: quality conversation,
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: rather than just talking about the surface stuff.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: Like how do we,
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: I think that a lot of women have been asking for,
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: we want a space where we can actually,
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: talk to each other,
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: talk about what matters.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: you know, what's important.
- 4:50SPEAKER_02: And leave uplifted.
- 4:52SPEAKER_02: And that's one of the pieces that for Natalie and I,
- 4:55SPEAKER_02: and to be just completely transparent,
- 4:57SPEAKER_02: I mean,
- 4:58SPEAKER_02: it's this simple that when you come to the joy jolt,
- 5:01SPEAKER_02: you're going to maybe come in depleted,
- 5:04SPEAKER_02: but you're going to leave uplifted.
- 5:06And one of the things that I love the most about my friendship
- 5:09with Natalie and our
- 5:10SPEAKER_02: dynamic is that no matter how the conversation happens,
- 5:15SPEAKER_02: where we're coming from,
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: I love that I feel,
- 5:19just uplifted and I feel lighter and I feel more connected to
- 5:23my joy and more
- 5:25SPEAKER_02: committed to my happiness.
- 5:26SPEAKER_02: Nobody's responsible for my happiness.
- 5:29SPEAKER_02: Nobody can create my happiness.
- 5:31SPEAKER_02: Nobody's responsible for my joy.
- 5:33SPEAKER_02: Nat's not responsible, but you know what I love is Nat's an advocate.
- 5:37SPEAKER_02: You know,
- 5:38I appreciate that she's an advocate and somebody who desires
- 5:42for that space to be
- 5:44SPEAKER_02: created.
- 5:44SPEAKER_02: And that's really what this was born out of.
- 5:46SPEAKER_02: So welcome to the joy jolt.
- 5:48SPEAKER_02: If you're feeling heavy, come to the joy jolt.
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: If you're feeling tired, come to the joy jolt.
- 5:53SPEAKER_02: If you're feeling disconnected, come to the joy jolt.
- 5:56And this really is a space that's committed to uplifting you
- 6:01back to yourself.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: And this is part of the reason why we're here on Substack,
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: because it is a platform where,
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: there is inspiration.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: There's thought leaders.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: There's no ads.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: There's no animosity.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: It just seems to be a really nice,
- 6:22SPEAKER_01: calming place for us to be able to put up positive information,
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: to invite women into the conversation,
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: and to create something that I feel is...
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: Even if it's just like you're having a really crappy day and then you go,
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: oh,
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: that's why the podcast is going live today.
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: Oh, or I've got, you know, that live video is happening.
- 6:43It's a little escape from that reality and coming into this
- 6:48reality because the
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: more that we can do that,
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: we start to condition ourselves differently.
- 6:53And we start to condition ourselves to happiness and connection
- 6:56and friendship and
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: girlfriends and sisterhood.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: This is what we're creating here.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: So,
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: because,
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: I know that for you,
- 7:05SPEAKER_01: Susan,
- 7:05SPEAKER_01: that you shared how you've been feeling lonely.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: And like we're surrounded by people, but there's just this...
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: You know,
- 7:16SPEAKER_02: I mean,
- 7:17SPEAKER_02: and not that I'm going into it,
- 7:19SPEAKER_02: but you mentioned the pandemic and the pandemic,
- 7:22SPEAKER_02: it wildly shifted the dynamic and structure of my family dynamic,
- 7:28SPEAKER_02: not my nuclear family with my husband and my children,
- 7:31SPEAKER_02: but my relationship with my brothers,
- 7:33SPEAKER_02: my relationship with my father.
- 7:35that still has not found its new equilibrium and so i do think
- 7:40that there's it's
- 7:41not just what's happening in the greater world it's what's
- 7:45happened within your
- 7:46family structure the world is and has been um wow i know a lot
- 7:53heavier and so um i
- 7:55SPEAKER_02: have found that that
- 7:57having conversations with people who are not focused on being
- 8:03uplifters is,
- 8:05SPEAKER_02: man,
- 8:05SPEAKER_02: is a drain for me.
- 8:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:08SPEAKER_02: And it's like, it's almost more acceptable.
- 8:10SPEAKER_02: And this is not about blowing smoke and what,
- 8:13SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 8:13SPEAKER_02: it's not about farting rainbows and sunshine.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: It could be about farting rainbows.
- 8:19SPEAKER_02: There might be a moment.
- 8:21SPEAKER_02: Pull my finger.
- 8:24SPEAKER_02: You know,
- 8:25SPEAKER_02: but this is a place where it's like,
- 8:28SPEAKER_02: yeah,
- 8:29SPEAKER_02: this is the reality,
- 8:30SPEAKER_02: but there's a bigger reality.
- 8:32SPEAKER_02: And that bigger reality is your joy.
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: That bigger reality is your happiness.
- 8:37That bigger reality is knowing that the connection to yourself
- 8:41will then help you
- 8:42SPEAKER_02: deepen the connection with others in your life.
- 8:46SPEAKER_02: And this is going to be a fun community.
- 8:48I'm excited about being a part of this and being an advocate
- 8:52for joy in a world
- 8:54SPEAKER_02: that doesn't feel particularly joyful right now.
- 8:58And here's the thing,
- 9:00when it comes to like disconnection,
- 9:03you can't think your way.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: through disconnection it has to be an experience it has to be um you know
- 9:13conversation it has to be a space where you can kind of feel
- 9:17like you can be
- 9:17yourself like when is the last time that you've really had a
- 9:23big old belly laugh
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: with girlfriends and
- 9:26SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: It's been, it's been a while.
- 9:28SPEAKER_01: And Susan and I were talking about this just yesterday,
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: before the pandemic,
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: oh my God,
- 9:34SPEAKER_01: I was a member of so many clubs like ATL,
- 9:37SPEAKER_01: TLC,
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: EBC,
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: conferences.
- 9:42SPEAKER_01: And there was, you know, it was like, there was plenty of people around.
- 9:47SPEAKER_01: I had many friends.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: And I remember when I met Bert, I'm like, you better buckle in mate.
- 9:51SPEAKER_01: Cause I got a lot of friends.
- 9:54And then I realized as the years kind of went on that I don't
- 9:58socialize as much as I used to.
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: You know, I don't connect with women as much as I used to.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: You know,
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: I have a core group that we try to,
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: but even those women,
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 10:09SPEAKER_01: and when we started this,
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: I said to Susan,
- 10:11I love the fact that us working together is my excuse to have
- 10:16to talk to you every
- 10:17SPEAKER_01: day.
- 10:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:19SPEAKER_02: We need to make an excuse so that we can talk to each other every day.
- 10:23SPEAKER_02: It's true.
- 10:24SPEAKER_02: It's true.
- 10:24SPEAKER_02: And what you're saying with the pandemic and what has happened,
- 10:27SPEAKER_02: I think we as women and as a society,
- 10:30SPEAKER_02: before the pandemic,
- 10:31SPEAKER_02: we were really busy.
- 10:32SPEAKER_02: We were busy, busy, busy, busy, busy.
- 10:34SPEAKER_02: And then all of a sudden the pandemic happened,
- 10:37SPEAKER_02: things shifted,
- 10:38SPEAKER_02: and now the world has gotten a little bit...
- 10:40a little bit strange,
- 10:41a little bit heavy,
- 10:42a little bit chaotic,
- 10:43a little bit unpredictable.
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: And let's be honest, I don't want to travel like I used to.
- 10:48SPEAKER_02: Don't make me go to an airport.
- 10:49SPEAKER_02: You know, it's not nearly as fun as it used to be pre-pandemic, right?
- 10:54SPEAKER_02: Like it's like, so even travel is different.
- 10:57SPEAKER_02: And so I think you're right.
- 11:00SPEAKER_02: We went from being really busy
- 11:02to having this experience and this now feeling that's a residue
- 11:07of being disconnected.
- 11:08SPEAKER_02: And I think that in that disconnection,
- 11:11SPEAKER_02: we're not connected to ourselves,
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: which really is where we're,
- 11:16SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 11:17SPEAKER_02: how do I get back to that joy?
- 11:19SPEAKER_02: How do I get back to the center?
- 11:21SPEAKER_02: I need a jolt.
- 11:22SPEAKER_02: I need a jolt and we're here to give it to you.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: And it's how do we do it in a healthy way?
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: Because, you know,
- 11:28SPEAKER_01: I'll be honest.
- 11:29SPEAKER_02: Wait, not a shot of tequila at the end of the day?
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: Well, that's medicinal.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: I mean, no, but here's the thing.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: You're not saying no, but it's not really the healthiest way.
- 11:43SPEAKER_01: But I would numb out.
- 11:45SPEAKER_01: Oh,
- 11:46SPEAKER_01: my God,
- 11:46SPEAKER_01: during the pandemic,
- 11:47I got into the habit of there was this like cheese dip that I
- 11:51really liked from the
- 11:52SPEAKER_01: grocery store.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: So I get that.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: And,
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 11:55SPEAKER_01: you start drinking at four in the afternoon because,
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: what else you got to do?
- 11:59SPEAKER_01: And then next, you know, a bottle a night of wine.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: I put on a lot of weight during the during the pandemic.
- 12:06And it was because I was feeling well,
- 12:08I was trying to avoid feeling lonely.
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: I was trying to avoid that.
- 12:12So what we want to do is give you a healthy way to be able to
- 12:20overcome the
- 12:21SPEAKER_01: overwhelm,
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: to be able to create great friendships,
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: to be able to have conversations that,
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: that will lift you up and make you feel good,
- 12:32SPEAKER_01: to help you laugh and get back to yourself again.
- 12:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 12:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
- 12:38SPEAKER_02: I do know what you're saying.
- 12:39SPEAKER_02: And I think- Are you picking up what I'm putting down?
- 12:41SPEAKER_02: I'm picking up what you're putting down.
- 12:44And we're putting into the world exactly what we think the
- 12:47world needs more of.
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: And it's not the external-
- 12:51SPEAKER_02: joy that we're talking about, what we see with that kind, it's here.
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: It's the internal joy where you leave a conversation uplifted.
- 13:01SPEAKER_02: We need more of that in our life.
- 13:04SPEAKER_02: And I'm excited about this community.
- 13:05SPEAKER_02: I'm excited about this partnership.
- 13:07SPEAKER_02: I'm excited about this podcast.
- 13:09I'm excited about what it is that we're committing to inspire
- 13:14and advocate for the world.
- 13:17SPEAKER_02: I think the world needs more joy.
- 13:18SPEAKER_02: And it took me a hot minute
- 13:21to to give myself permission to give into this because the
- 13:28world more now than ever
- 13:29is so heavy it is heavy like it's so i am it's heavy but that
- 13:35is why the to being
- 13:37in this conversation and talking about joy can i give you my
- 13:41definition of joy
- 13:41SPEAKER_02: really quickly yes
- 13:43SPEAKER_02: I know I'm going to say this a million and one times,
- 13:45SPEAKER_02: but if you're listening to this,
- 13:46SPEAKER_02: joy,
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: joy really in itself simply is just open yourself.
- 13:52SPEAKER_02: Just open yourself, right?
- 13:54When I'm feeling like this and I'm feeling frustrated and I'm
- 13:57feeling angry and I'm
- 13:58SPEAKER_02: feeling scared or whatever,
- 13:59SPEAKER_02: I am contracting in.
- 14:02And so the practice of joy,
- 14:04giving myself joy,
- 14:06is taking that expansive deep breath in.
- 14:09SPEAKER_02: I'm just opening myself.
- 14:11SPEAKER_02: I'm opening myself.
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: feeling good.
- 14:15SPEAKER_02: I'm opening myself to kind of shake off the fear for a minute.
- 14:20SPEAKER_02: I'm just opening myself.
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: And I posted a note the other day of Dr. Laura Berman.
- 14:26SPEAKER_01: I listened to her talk the other day and she said,
- 14:30one person with a positive vibration can positively influence
- 14:3570,000 people.
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: Look at what we're doing.
- 14:38SPEAKER_02: You're doing it, right?
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: And so what she's saying is that you listening to this,
- 14:43if there's somebody in your life that could use a little bit of
- 14:46a joy jolt,
- 14:47SPEAKER_02: be somebody who sends this information forward.
- 14:50SPEAKER_02: So let's join this community.
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: Let's be a part of all of us being a joy jolt for someone else.
- 14:57SPEAKER_02: Because you can't make someone have more joy,
- 15:01SPEAKER_02: but you can share a jolt that might spark that joy inside of them,
- 15:05SPEAKER_02: right?
- 15:05SPEAKER_02: So how do we be the joy jolt for ourselves and for others?
- 15:09So one of the ways is subscribing to our free content and just
- 15:15keeping an eye on
- 15:16these podcasts and sharing these podcasts with people in your
- 15:20life who need a
- 15:21SPEAKER_02: little bit more joy.
- 15:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:22SPEAKER_01: And what I also love about this is this isn't a one-way street.
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: you know, and here is our vision for what it is that we want to do.
- 15:31Yes,
- 15:32subscribe to our channel,
- 15:33get the free content,
- 15:34the podcast and all that kind of thing.
- 15:37That's going to have a lot of great information and hopefully
- 15:40what we're posting is
- 15:41going to help you smile and feel good and start to feel like
- 15:45yourself again.
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 15:47SPEAKER_01: But then what we're also doing,
- 15:49SPEAKER_01: if you want to join the paid subscription,
- 15:52SPEAKER_01: now this is where you get to join the conversation.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: You get to join the conversation.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: We're going to be doing live broadcasts here within Substack because,
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 16:03we didn't want to do this on like a social media platform where
- 16:07you have to get
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: through the craziness to get to us.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: Like, no, no, no, that is, we're taking that out of the equation.
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: Live broadcasts,
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: like,
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: community chats,
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: like this is what we'll be doing within the paid subscription.
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: So now we get to communicate.
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: Now we get to have a conversation.
- 16:24SPEAKER_01: Now we get to dance with each other.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: We get to join y'all.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: Join y'all.
- 16:29SPEAKER_01: And then we have our community.
- 16:31SPEAKER_01: Now, with the community, we will be doing way more interaction.
- 16:35SPEAKER_01: We'll be inviting guests in.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: You're getting behind the scenes, behind the mic information.
- 16:41You'll be able to ask questions,
- 16:43ask us,
- 16:44interact with us,
- 16:45be seen,
- 16:46be heard,
- 16:46and join...
- 16:49Like we're looking at creating local groups as well so that you
- 16:52actually have some
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: physical contact.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: Cause you know, we know this is another screen.
- 16:57SPEAKER_01: It's another time, more time you've got to put in front of the computer.
- 17:01SPEAKER_01: The cool thing about this though, is that it could be pants optional.
- 17:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:08SPEAKER_02: You don't have to show up in any particular way.
- 17:10SPEAKER_02: No.
- 17:11SPEAKER_02: You don't have to wear pants.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: You can do whatever you want.
- 17:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:19But our vision is also to be doing live retreats where we can
- 17:25actually get together in person.
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: We can do sound bowl healing.
- 17:31SPEAKER_01: We can have great conversation.
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: You'll learn tools on how to stay regulated in a very unregulated world.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: And you will leave an event like that floating on cloud nine.
- 17:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, uplift.
- 17:46This is the vision of what we want to bring into the world and
- 17:50what we want to invite you into.
- 17:52SPEAKER_01: Because it doesn't exist without you.
- 17:55SPEAKER_02: No, not at all, not at all.
- 17:58And joy and the conversation about how to generate an anchor
- 18:02into joy in this world
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: today,
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: I think is so crucial.
- 18:07And so we're gonna be holding space for what I believe to be
- 18:13one of the most
- 18:13SPEAKER_02: important human conversations that we can be in.
- 18:18SPEAKER_02: You can ask AI about joy.
- 18:21SPEAKER_02: But at the end of the day,
- 18:21you're the only one who gets to experience it and fully feel it
- 18:25and integrate it
- 18:26and dance with it and let it expand from you through you to and
- 18:32flow into the lives
- 18:33SPEAKER_02: of the people that you love.
- 18:35SPEAKER_02: I want more people to have a joyous life.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah,
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: and it's interesting that you bring up the AI thing because,
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 18:43it's a challenge right now because people are feeling like they
- 18:47have a friendship
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: with their AI bot more than they're having friends outside.
- 18:55and we want to bring it back to real friendships real
- 18:59sisterhood human connection
- 19:01yeah yeah yeah and it's that connection to yourself right
- 19:05starts there it starts
- 19:06starts right there so that you're not afraid if you're afraid
- 19:09to plug into yourself
- 19:10SPEAKER_02: you're not going to plug into other people
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: And so, you know, it starts right here.
- 19:15SPEAKER_02: So I love this conversation.
- 19:18SPEAKER_02: I'm excited that you're here.
- 19:20SPEAKER_02: Again,
- 19:20please share this podcast with anybody that you think you would
- 19:24like to invite into
- 19:26SPEAKER_02: the joy conversation.
- 19:27SPEAKER_02: You want to give some people a joy jolt.
- 19:30SPEAKER_02: I've been doing joy jolts for years.
- 19:33SPEAKER_02: And so it's so fun for me to have this conversation come to life.
- 19:37And so when I walk up to people who I feel like are feeling
- 19:40down,
- 19:40I'll put my arms around them.
- 19:42SPEAKER_02: And then very lovingly,
- 19:43SPEAKER_02: because you got to be careful with people's bodies,
- 19:46SPEAKER_02: I'll pull them towards me and I'll just whisper in their ear,
- 19:49SPEAKER_02: joy jolt,
- 19:50joy jolt.
- 19:51SPEAKER_02: And it's like,
- 19:52SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 19:52SPEAKER_02: when those people,
- 19:53SPEAKER_02: when their hearts stop beating and they use those,
- 19:55SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 19:56SPEAKER_02: and they're in the hospital,
- 19:57SPEAKER_02: let's not wait till our heart is completely dead.
- 20:00SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 20:01But sometimes I can feel that people's hearts are not beating
- 20:04as quickly as they
- 20:05SPEAKER_02: want,
- 20:05SPEAKER_02: or they're not,
- 20:06SPEAKER_02: they're not feeling the,
- 20:07SPEAKER_02: the,
- 20:08SPEAKER_02: the life move through themselves.
- 20:09SPEAKER_02: And it's like,
- 20:10SPEAKER_02: I can,
- 20:11SPEAKER_02: if I can be a reminder and give myself and share it with someone else,
- 20:15SPEAKER_02: Joy Schultz,
- 20:16SPEAKER_02: I know it activates the humanness that we all want more of in our life.
- 20:22SPEAKER_02: So I'm excited to be here.

- 20:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, same, same.
- 20:31SPEAKER_01: Ditto, darling.
- 20:32So if there is anything that you're listening to here or
- 20:36anything that you're
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: feeling that's saying yes,
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: then please come and join us.
- 20:41SPEAKER_01: Please come and join the conversation and the fun.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: And we guarantee that you will be feeling so much better.

- 20:53And that's going to cause a ripple effect in your life and the
- 20:57people that you know.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: That's why we chose the logo that we did,
- 21:00SPEAKER_01: the bolt or the jolt with the ripples,
- 21:04SPEAKER_01: because we want to help.
- 21:06We want to make this a positive change,
- 21:09but we want to help you do the same thing.
- 21:12SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 21:13SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 21:14SPEAKER_02: Well, I'm super excited.
- 21:15SPEAKER_02: In our next podcast,
- 21:16we're going to talk a little bit more about kind of joy and
- 21:19give a broader
- 21:20SPEAKER_02: definition.
- 21:21SPEAKER_02: We always talk about just open yourself.
