Water Leak Shuts Down Eighth Avenue | Charleston News
A major water leak erupted at the intersection of First Street and Eighth Avenue near the underpass, flooding the road and cascading down the viaduct. Crews scrambled to fix it, forcing a full shutdown of Eighth Avenue and causing major traffic delays. Ironically, the street had been repaved just recently, making the disruption all the more frustrating. While some locals reported drops in water pressure, others saw no change.
