- 0:25and a global audience witnessing a solemn transfer
- 0:28of duty. The coronation affirmed a living constitutional
- 0:32tradition and served as a unifying moment that
- 0:36modernized public ceremony and connected diverse
- 0:39peoples across the Commonwealth. So now you know.

- 2:33to tell them. Sunny mornings send you. In local
- 2:38news, Massachusetts researchers have uncovered
- 2:42that the scope of long COVID is bigger than previously
- 2:46thought, estimating that at least 10 million
- 2:49Americans may be affected but remain undiagnosed.
- 2:53This finding emerged from new research by Mass
- 2:57General Brigham, utilizing artificial intelligence
- 3:00to analyze nearly 460 ,000 medical records. Researchers
- 3:06found that 16 % of individuals who contract COVID
- 3:10-19 develop long -term symptoms, which often
- 3:13go unrecognized as long COVID. While the pandemic's
- 3:17initial waves have subsided, the chronic effects
- 3:20persist, indicating a growing health crisis that
- 3:23warrants attention from health care systems.
- 3:30Now on to sports. Miles Garrett finally got his
- 3:35wish, 16 months after originally demanding to
- 3:38be traded. The reigning National Football League
- 3:41Defensive Player of the Year will join the Los
- 3:44Angeles Rams. with a legitimate chance to compete
- 3:47for a Super Bowl. The Cleveland Browns realized
- 3:50their timeline did not mesh with their best player
- 3:53and executed a trade. The Rams traded two -time
- 3:57Pro Bowl edge rusher Jared Verse, along with
- 4:00their 2027 first round, 2028 second round, and
- 4:042029 third round draft picks. This move may have
- 4:08come a year later than expected, but the outcome
- 4:11is exactly what Garrett preferred. In local sports,
- 4:15tonight at 6 .45, the Red Sox open a three -game
- 4:20series against Baltimore at Fenway, looking to
- 4:23build on yesterday's 9 -4 sweep of Cleveland.
- 4:28Connelly Early takes the mound against the Orioles'
- 4:31Shane Bass. Boston's bats exploded over the weekend.
- 4:36Jaron Duran went deep. William Abreu and Yoshi
- 4:40each drove in two. And that offensive spark comes
- 4:43at the right time. At 25 -33, the Sox sit in
- 4:48last place in the AL East, but they've won three
- 4:51of their last five. They need to keep it rolling.
- 4:55Meanwhile, the front office is under the microscope.
- 4:59Reports surfaced about communication issues between
- 5:02Chief Baseball Officer Craig Breslow and the
- 5:05roster. Breslow's leaning heavy on analytics
- 5:09while lacking playing experience, and that disconnect
- 5:12may be dragging on the field. Even interim manager
- 5:16Chad Tracy can't seem to turn it around. Fans
- 5:20are restless. The Selva team chants continue
- 5:23nightly at Fenway. Breslow's job appears safe
- 5:27for now, but another losing stretch could accelerate
- 5:30calls for change. On the Bruins' front... Defenseman
- 5:34Charlie McAvoy drew a six -game suspension for
- 5:38slashing in the playoffs to be served next season.
- 5:41Lucas Reichel signed a one -year extension worth
- 5:44$950 ,000. Over in the NBA offseason, the Celtics
- 5:51aren't forced to blow it up after their first
- 5:53round exit to Philadelphia. The question dominating
- 5:57the narrative, what's next for Jalen Brown? Brad
- 6:01Stevens has a $22 .5 million trade exception
- 6:05to deploy before July 7th. The team expects to
- 6:09keep Nemeus Queda and Jordan Walsh on their options.
- 6:14In top news, according to a study published on
- 6:19Sunday, a new experimental medication nearly
- 6:22doubled overall survival rates for patients with
- 6:25advanced pancreatic cancer. The drug, named Deraxanraciv,
- 6:30blocks a mutated protein that fuels tumor growth
- 6:33in more than 90 % of cases. It reduced the risk
- 6:38of death by 60 % for patients with metastatic
- 6:41pancreatic cancer who had previously received
- 6:44treatment. Those taking Deraxanracib lived for
- 6:47a median of 13 .2 months compared to 6 .7 months
- 6:51for chemotherapy recipients. Patients who took
- 6:55the drug also experienced fewer severe side effects.
- 6:59improving their quality of life. In business
- 7:03news, job seekers are using AI role play to negotiate
- 7:08salary. These artificial intelligence prompts
- 7:11can help make you a master salary negotiator
- 7:14at your next job interview. Savvy job hunters
- 7:18are using artificial intelligence to perfect
- 7:21their pitch. Salary negotiations are challenging
- 7:25for many people. especially daunting for entry
- 7:28-level workers just starting their careers. College
- 7:32graduates tend to dramatically overestimate their
- 7:35starting salaries, with studies showing that
- 7:37students expect to earn $80 ,000 to $100 ,000,
- 7:42while the actual starting salary is around $56
- 7:46,000. In crypto movement, Bitcoin is down 4 %
- 7:52to just under $71 ,000. Ethereum is down 1 %

- 8:51back to the show. Let's talk tech. Google parent
- 8:57company Alphabet said Monday that it plans to
- 8:59raise $80 billion to help pay for its massive
- 9:03artificial intelligence infrastructure build
- 9:05-out. Alphabet will sell off that amount in stock
- 9:09and then use the funds for general corporate
- 9:11purposes, which includes capital expenditures
- 9:14to scale AI infrastructure and global compute.
- 9:18Part of the plan involves selling $10 billion
- 9:21in stock to Berkshire Hathaway. the massive global
- 9:25holding company formerly led by Warren Buffett.
- 9:28Alphabet stated that it is experiencing strong
- 9:32demand for its AI solutions and services from
- 9:35enterprises and consumers at levels that exceed
- 9:38its available supply. The company aims to fund
- 9:41its investments in a balanced way while retaining
- 9:44a healthy balance sheet. And in entertainment
- 9:49news. Matt Duffer, creator, showrunner, and executive
- 9:54producer of Stranger Things, accepted a career
- 9:58honor at the Gotham TV Awards, stating that young
- 10:01film and television audiences are telling us
- 10:04very loudly that they're hungry for original
- 10:06stories. He recalled how Netflix gave the Duffer
- 10:10brothers a fairly blank check 10 years ago, saying
- 10:14that level of trust gave us the confidence and
- 10:17the courage to step up. He urged, let's choose
- 10:20risk over fear, encouraging support for new voices
- 10:24and bold personal stories. The fifth season of
- 10:27Stranger Things set a record for New Year's Day
- 10:30viewing, racking up 31 .5 million views in four
- 10:34days. Well, alrighty folks, it's time for the
- 10:39quote of the day. And today, our quote comes
- 10:43from the British author and playwright, George
- 10:45Bernard Shaw. And he said, Progress is impossible
- 10:50without change, and those who cannot change their
- 10:53minds cannot change anything. And that's a wrap
- 10:58for this morning. You can check out our Instagram,
