- 0:00Speaker 1: Gentlemen, how you guys doing today.
- 0:03Speaker 2: I'm good, good, good.
- 0:04Speaker 1: You know I love it and it breaks my heart
- 0:07Speaker 1: at the same time as watching you guys do so great.
- 0:10Speaker 1: But I will say this, Cam, I've watched you play
- 0:13Speaker 1: probably since your sixth grade when I was watching with
- 0:16Speaker 1: your dad all the way through those tournaments, and I
- 0:20Speaker 1: was saying this last night, you might be the winningest
- 0:23Speaker 1: player I've known in the last five years. And I'm
- 0:25Speaker 1: gonna give you a stat and tell me what you
- 0:27Speaker 1: think about this. So they looked it up. You've won
- 0:30Speaker 1: ninety one percent of your games from high school to
- 0:35Speaker 1: the USA all and all the way until now in
- 0:39Speaker 1: college basketball. And they didn't even include the eybl so
- 0:43Speaker 1: nine winning percentage. What does that attribute it to?
- 0:48Speaker 3: Oh man? I mean, I just think I attributes to
- 0:50Speaker 3: the coaching staff and the players that have been around me.
- 0:53Speaker 3: You know, a lot of people talk about me and
- 0:54Speaker 3: the winning I've done, but I've been around some dogs
- 0:56Speaker 3: who just want to win as well, and I think
- 0:59Speaker 3: to win it takes a old team effort. Just like
- 1:01Speaker 3: this year. You know, it's big time getting Caleb and
- 1:03Speaker 3: Pat back, having all the nine other guys same thing.
- 1:05Speaker 3: This year, we have some dogs just want to compete
- 1:07Speaker 3: and win. But at the end of the day, you know,
- 1:09Speaker 3: I think when the scale, I think it's really hard
- 1:11Speaker 3: to do. And yeah, I mean ninety one percent is crazy.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Hey, Caleb, it's coach Pearl. Been knowing you since your
- 1:21Speaker 4: Hickory Ridge days. Right, Hey, listen, it's good to hear,
- 1:25Speaker 4: good to visit with you this. You broke a foot,
- 1:28Speaker 4: like you had surgery, that's six to eight weeks out.
- 1:31Speaker 4: You do it in three how.
- 1:35Speaker 5: I would just say Nick Potter to Duke's training staff,
- 1:38Speaker 5: obviously leaning on my brothers, Cam, everybody else, just believing
- 1:43Speaker 5: in that I could do it, come back, support me,
- 1:45Speaker 5: and then just a lot of treatment early morning is
- 1:48Speaker 5: late nights, just steadying in the treatment room. So it's
- 1:51Speaker 5: been it's been a long process, but I'm happy to
- 1:53Speaker 5: be back out there.
- 1:54Speaker 4: I said, you still get that boot on you walking
- 1:56Speaker 4: around with the boot.
- 1:57Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm still on the bolting the schooter. I'll be
- 1:59Speaker 5: on that the rest of the season.
- 2:03Speaker 2: My foot, When did you think you would actually be
- 2:06Speaker 2: able to get back at this time? When did it
- 2:09Speaker 2: become realistic to you that that was a possibility that
- 2:13Speaker 2: you could play in the game. You played in last night.
- 2:19Speaker 5: So when I got hurt rush U and c I
- 2:20Speaker 5: went straight and got an X ray. And then from
- 2:24Speaker 5: that point on, I talked to the doctor Avendola and
- 2:26Speaker 5: he was just saying that it's a possibility, like he
- 2:28Speaker 5: didn't really confirm anything. And then it's from that moment on,
- 2:32Speaker 5: but that's where my mind set shifted. I'm like, it's
- 2:34Speaker 5: not a possibility, like I'm doing this. And then since
- 2:37Speaker 5: that point on, I've just been head down focused and
- 2:40Speaker 5: everything I could do to get ready and prepare for
- 2:42Speaker 5: this moment.
- 2:43Speaker 6: Well, k Im, number one, you have been the best
- 2:45Speaker 6: player in college basketball all year, and all the awards
- 2:49Speaker 6: you were winning, uh, well earned and well deserved. But Caleb,
- 2:53Speaker 6: I got to give you a hard time. Number one,
- 2:55Speaker 6: how was your conditioning in the first half and how
- 2:59Speaker 6: good did you sleep last night?
- 3:03Speaker 5: On my condition And it surprised me a little bit
- 3:06Speaker 5: obviously that first that first win was it was rough.
- 3:09Speaker 5: Obviously I've been out there for two weeks, man, I
- 3:12Speaker 5: was tired. But when I caught the second win, you know,
- 3:14Speaker 5: just buying into my team, just putting the effort into them,
- 3:17Speaker 5: leaning on them. I mean, I was just trying to
- 3:19Speaker 5: do whatever take the win. So I wasn't really thinking
- 3:21Speaker 5: about being tired. We didn't have any time to be tired.
- 3:24Speaker 1: You know what, cay one last final thing. You know,
- 3:26Speaker 1: we said ninety one percent of the age, but there's
- 3:29Speaker 1: another person that was part of that ninety one percentage,
- 3:31Speaker 1: your brother, you know, your twin brothers. So tell how
- 3:35Speaker 1: his impact and his change obviously moving in when Caleb
- 3:39Speaker 1: is not there and now that he's coming back.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it's been a huge part of that obviously.
- 3:45Speaker 3: I think anyone who's watched us over the years and
- 3:48Speaker 3: seeing it, he stepped up big time for us in
- 3:49Speaker 3: a lot of big time games. You know, just as
- 3:52Speaker 3: much as I've won, he's going He's been right by
- 3:53Speaker 3: my side, and I think, you know, Caleer going out
- 3:57Speaker 3: obviously and maybe a lot of us have to step up.
- 4:00Speaker 3: I came, did it a good job stepping up. But
- 4:01Speaker 3: you know, I've seen him do it his whole life,
- 4:04Speaker 3: so it wasn't surprising me. He might have surprised some people,
- 4:06Speaker 3: but I was super proud of him. You know, I
- 4:08Speaker 3: think he's grown a lot, his confidence has grown a lot.
- 4:11Speaker 3: But I'm just excited, you know, continue to peep with
- 4:12Speaker 3: these guys.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And yeah, yes, sir, yeah, well you know what. Congratulations
- 4:19Speaker 1: and this is the first time I probably will say
- 4:22Speaker 1: this in my life.
- 4:23Speaker 6: Good luck to you guys.
- 4:24Speaker 3: I do.
- 4:26Speaker 5: Yes, appreciate it. Look, thank you, appreciate it, Kenny.
- 4:32Speaker 6: Finally, all right, you can't wait for we will turn
- 4:38Speaker 6: on
