- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, good everybody. I'm Lucky from Valhalla.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hi everyone, I'm Anthony from Valhallam. We played some ponic
- 0:06Speaker 2: folk metal. We were a Brisbane and we're from Brisbane, Australia.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Beautiful day. Thanks for joining us today.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Thank you so much for having us pleasure as.
- 0:15Speaker 4: Usual going So, val Hello will release your second album,
- 0:18Speaker 4: Beyond the Stars on April the eleventh, which isn't far
- 0:21Speaker 4: off now.
- 0:21Speaker 3: So how are you feeling about it?
- 0:24Speaker 5: Just absolutely thrilled after waiting for four years to release
- 0:28Speaker 5: this music. It's it's pretty surreal that we're finally finally
- 0:31Speaker 5: near the finish line.
- 0:33Speaker 6: Yeah, it's been just a rollercoaster of different feelings, I suppose,
- 0:38Speaker 6: and I just want it out now.
- 0:40Speaker 2: And it's still it's still like, oh man, it's still
- 0:43Speaker 2: nine days to go. But they'll be here soon enough.
- 0:47Speaker 4: So can you dive into the album a bit more
- 0:49Speaker 4: deeply for us from musical point of view and what
- 0:51Speaker 4: you were going forward it?
- 0:55Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 0:55Speaker 6: Sure, well, in terms of I guess the themes of
- 0:58Speaker 6: the album, it a person's journey from the beginning of
- 1:02Speaker 6: their life to the end of their life, and each
- 1:04Speaker 6: song kind of deals with the different highs and lows
- 1:07Speaker 6: ups and downs, different emotions that one would experience throughout
- 1:11Speaker 6: their life, and each song kind of represents those different moments.
- 1:15Speaker 2: And then at the end.
- 1:16Speaker 6: Of the of the album, the final song really deals
- 1:20Speaker 6: with what happens after, what happens to you after we die?
- 1:24Speaker 2: And can we become something greater than ourselves?
- 1:27Speaker 6: So in that regards, the album is a bit of
- 1:31Speaker 6: a concept album, and it's cyclic, and each each of
- 1:35Speaker 6: the songs that we have written.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Pertains to this journey of someone's life experiences.
- 1:43Speaker 3: That's pretty deep.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Guys.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Where'd you pull that from, Lachlin?
- 1:48Speaker 5: I think, yeah, I think just given the timeframe that
- 1:56Speaker 5: this album was written in and all of the you know,
- 1:59Speaker 5: experience that we all have to draw from from our
- 2:02Speaker 5: own personal lives. I mean, you know, for lack of
- 2:04Speaker 5: a better term, this was our COVID album. So a
- 2:07Speaker 5: lot of the you know, anxieties and doubts that a
- 2:10Speaker 5: lot of people face during the pandemic and the lockdowns
- 2:13Speaker 5: and things like that, you know, kind of permeated the
- 2:16Speaker 5: lyrics and the thought process.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Around the time of this writing.
- 2:20Speaker 5: And you know, as we've said a few times now
- 2:23Speaker 5: to each other, you know, looking back at this time
- 2:25Speaker 5: and our in our history as a band.
- 2:27Speaker 1: We didn't know if we were ever going to get
- 2:28Speaker 1: on the stage again.
- 2:29Speaker 5: We didn't know if anyone was going to hear these,
- 2:31Speaker 5: you know, these new songs on this album.
- 2:33Speaker 1: We didn't know what the future held.
- 2:35Speaker 5: So again, we're just grateful that we were able to
- 2:37Speaker 5: kind of turn that negativity and that doubt into something
- 2:40Speaker 5: that's hopefully positive.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And we're finally at a point where we can.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Share it with you all.
- 2:44Speaker 4: And Nice, I'm glad you actually cleaned it up for me,
- 2:46Speaker 4: because I was going to say, look at the album title.
- 2:49Speaker 4: I'd be on the starts and if you look at
- 2:50Speaker 4: the cover, which is like a being surrounded by world's exploding,
- 2:55Speaker 4: it'd actually be forgiven for thinking it was a sci
- 2:57Speaker 4: fi album.
- 2:57Speaker 3: But it's not.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I think it's it's definitely got elements of that.
- 3:02Speaker 5: I think, you know, as Anthony said, it kind of
- 3:04Speaker 5: outlines a person's you know, journey through life and the
- 3:07Speaker 5: emotions they experience. But I think the overarching kind of
- 3:11Speaker 5: takeaway from that is that we're all just a part
- 3:13Speaker 5: of something much bigger than ourselves. And you know, whether
- 3:17Speaker 5: you call that religion, the universe, you know, just being human.
- 3:21Speaker 1: You know, however you kind of interpret it. I think, yeah, the.
- 3:24Speaker 5: Album art is kind of as you say, it's a
- 3:26Speaker 5: bit sci fi because it is that that idea of
- 3:29Speaker 5: there is so much beyond our physical selves, and there's
- 3:32Speaker 5: so much that we kind of both receive and give
- 3:35Speaker 5: back to the world around us throughout our life.
- 3:37Speaker 1: So yeah, it's pretty big.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Now it's a date.
- 3:41Speaker 4: You've released the singles as Storm, Wayfined, and Horizon. So
- 3:44Speaker 4: are they a good sonic representation of what do you expect?
- 3:46Speaker 4: Or are they just got to surface?
- 3:49Speaker 5: I think they're a good They're a good tasting platter,
- 3:51Speaker 5: is how we like to describe it.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I think they tick all of the kind of musical
- 3:55Speaker 1: points of the album. Obviously.
- 3:57Speaker 5: You know, you've got the Storm, which is just purely
- 3:58Speaker 5: heavy and kind of dark in a bit more grim,
- 4:01Speaker 5: and then you've got something like Wayfinder, which is, you know,
- 4:03Speaker 5: this lighter kind of ballad, and then Horizon, which kind
- 4:06Speaker 5: of sits in the middle of the two. I think
- 4:09Speaker 5: across the three of them, they give a good representation
- 4:11Speaker 5: of what to expect from the album, But there's definitely
- 4:13Speaker 5: a lot more to a lot more to uncover as
- 4:16Speaker 5: people listen to it.
- 4:18Speaker 6: Now.
- 4:19Speaker 4: The opening track, life is a beautiful composition, like it's
- 4:22Speaker 4: more or less an ambient whisper that for some reason
- 4:25Speaker 4: made me think of the Hobbit village and more of
- 4:26Speaker 4: the rings. But what was what was the idea behind
- 4:29Speaker 4: opening with particular assignments?
- 4:31Speaker 3: I liked it.
- 4:33Speaker 2: With that one.
- 4:34Speaker 6: We really wanted to encapsulate the start of the universe
- 4:40Speaker 6: in sonic form. That's that was the intent. So it is,
- 4:48Speaker 6: like the cover a little bit sci fi in the term,
- 4:52Speaker 6: you know, in regards to using a few synthesizers, et cetera,
- 4:55Speaker 6: and a few different layerings. But the way the track
- 4:58Speaker 6: evolves and you know, with tension, it really builds into
- 5:02Speaker 6: that first song quite nicely. So that's how we landed
- 5:05Speaker 6: on that opening track. So we wanted it to be
- 5:08Speaker 6: the you know, representation of the beginning of the universe,
- 5:12Speaker 6: beginning of the album, that kind of thing, beginning.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Of someone's life. Going back to the themes we talked about.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Yeah, in the modern age of music, guys, where streaming
- 5:23Speaker 4: and songs being played out of order is a normal
- 5:25Speaker 4: these days, Like how much thought you still put into
- 5:27Speaker 4: the track listening on albums?
- 5:28Speaker 1: Is it still a big deal for us definitely.
- 5:32Speaker 5: I think, you know, we're all music fans first and
- 5:35Speaker 5: foremost before you know, being a band, And so for
- 5:38Speaker 5: me personally, I still love sitting down and listening for
- 5:41Speaker 5: it to an album from start to finish, And yeah,
- 5:45Speaker 5: I think that was very much the case with this.
- 5:47Speaker 1: With this album, we sat down and had a thought
- 5:48Speaker 1: of how, you.
- 5:49Speaker 5: Know, it's going to flow nicely, so there's it doesn't
- 5:53Speaker 5: get too fatiguing, there's all these moments of light and
- 5:55Speaker 5: shade and so that, Yeah, you can sit down and
- 5:58Speaker 5: listen to the whole album and listen to it on
- 5:59Speaker 5: a loop and it kind of you know, starts and
- 6:01Speaker 5: finishes and is quite cyclic in that sense.
- 6:04Speaker 1: You can just you know, spin it on repeat if
- 6:06Speaker 1: you're so inclined.
- 6:07Speaker 5: So yeah, I think, but you're right, the streaming does,
- 6:12Speaker 5: you know, change the landscape a fair bit. But yeah,
- 6:13Speaker 5: for us, we're still very much an album band. You know,
- 6:17Speaker 5: that's still something we take very very seriously and put
- 6:20Speaker 5: a lot of thought into.
- 6:21Speaker 6: I think I think it's worth acknowledging that our songs
- 6:27Speaker 6: usually have long intros. For this album, we've made those intros,
- 6:34Speaker 6: some of them separate tracks. For example, our single Wavefinder
- 6:38Speaker 6: on Spotify. It just starts straight on the acoustic guitar,
- 6:41Speaker 6: going into the flute motif.
- 6:44Speaker 2: But in the video we have the piano piece that that.
- 6:48Speaker 6: Piano piece is actually a separate track on the album,
- 6:52Speaker 6: So in that regards, we are still having our intros
- 6:58Speaker 6: to songs, also making the music a little bit more
- 7:02Speaker 6: accessible for people not having to wait so long to
- 7:05Speaker 6: get into the music.
- 7:06Speaker 2: If that makes sense, I get you.
- 7:08Speaker 4: I'm normally one of those people I don't mind listening
- 7:11Speaker 4: to an album out of order, but but yours, of
- 7:13Speaker 4: course I listened to from starting to finishing. I think,
- 7:15Speaker 4: but albums are this is important to listen to them
- 7:17Speaker 4: and the way they're intended, because this one there's a
- 7:20Speaker 4: lot of atmosphere and it's like it's got an epic
- 7:22Speaker 4: build up to a lot of the songs, and it's
- 7:24Speaker 4: like a sonic journey. And that's a cliche jerm, but
- 7:28Speaker 4: listening to that album was like a sonic.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Journey, and I think I think you'd lose a bit
- 7:31Speaker 3: of that if you didn't listen to it.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Probably glad to hear it.
- 7:35Speaker 5: I'm glad that it was received in the way it
- 7:37Speaker 5: was intended, So thank you.
- 7:38Speaker 1: For that, appreciate it.
- 7:39Speaker 3: No ways at all.
- 7:40Speaker 4: So how would you say that Beyond the Stars differs
- 7:43Speaker 4: musically then to your twenty seventeen.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Debut, Voyage into Eternity.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I can go first lot that album twenty and seventeen.
- 7:55Speaker 6: I wrote that one solely by myself between say twenty
- 7:59Speaker 6: thirteen twenty sixteen, so a long time ago. I know
- 8:04Speaker 6: that I was trying to sound like all these other
- 8:06Speaker 6: bands at the time, just I really want to sound
- 8:09Speaker 6: like this, or really want to sound like that. This album,
- 8:12Speaker 6: Beyond the Stars, it was a far more collaborative approach,
- 8:16Speaker 6: so we had a lot of, you know, input from
- 8:18Speaker 6: our producer Sam Vallen. We had a lot more collaboration
- 8:23Speaker 6: in regards to how the songs work and the structures
- 8:25Speaker 6: of the songs and you know, the lyrics and everything,
- 8:28Speaker 6: and the way we recorded. It was just a unique
- 8:31Speaker 6: experience as well, and the songs just evolved and matured
- 8:35Speaker 6: and they really became Valhale songs.
- 8:39Speaker 2: So instead of sounding.
- 8:41Speaker 6: Like other bands, like maybe the twenty seventeen album kind
- 8:45Speaker 6: of does, this album.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I think it sounds like us.
- 8:50Speaker 6: We're finding our sound and it's really evident in this
- 8:53Speaker 6: upcoming album.
- 8:56Speaker 3: It as some of that like that's pretty that's pretty cool.
- 8:58Speaker 5: Yeah, no, I think you pretty much now that. Yeah,
- 9:01Speaker 5: I was just going to say the main thing was
- 9:02Speaker 5: the collaborative approach in the sense that you know, as
- 9:05Speaker 5: Anthony mentioned, writing the first album was you know, a
- 9:07Speaker 5: solo project.
- 9:08Speaker 2: For him, so he didn't have a band at that point.
- 9:10Speaker 5: And now you know, we have a band, so there's
- 9:13Speaker 5: you know, six of us to all throw ideas and
- 9:15Speaker 5: then kind of bring our own skills and influences to
- 9:17Speaker 5: the table.
- 9:17Speaker 1: So that was the biggest shift. And yeah, as.
- 9:21Speaker 5: Anthony so beautifully mentioned, working with Sam Vallen and having
- 9:24Speaker 5: you know, a fresh set of ears from outside of
- 9:26Speaker 5: the band, was you know, an invaluable aspect of.
- 9:28Speaker 1: This, of this recording process and this writing process.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Now you've got.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Anna Murphy listed as a guest artist on the song
- 9:35Speaker 4: Harder to See, So introduced us to her and then.
- 9:38Speaker 3: What she brings to the song.
- 9:39Speaker 5: Ah Anna Murphy is just one of my all time
- 9:42Speaker 5: favorite vocalists and musicians. And so for those of you
- 9:46Speaker 5: who might not be aware of Anna, she used to
- 9:48Speaker 5: be a part of the band Elveti, who for me
- 9:50Speaker 5: personally were my gateway into kind of the folk metal world.
- 9:54Speaker 5: I didn't know that those two worlds ever ever met
- 9:57Speaker 5: folk music and metal music until I discovered.
- 10:01Speaker 1: And since then she's moved on to.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Do her own solo projects and is now part of
- 10:05Speaker 5: her group Sala Darling, as well as a number of
- 10:07Speaker 5: other projects.
- 10:09Speaker 1: And yeah, when we were riding hard of the Sea.
- 10:13Speaker 5: It just by this point in the album and you know,
- 10:16Speaker 5: the song itself, we kind of realized that it lent
- 10:19Speaker 5: itself to be a duet rather than just you know,
- 10:21Speaker 5: me singing for another four minutes by myself, and we
- 10:25Speaker 5: kind of joked amongst ourselves of like, oh, this would
- 10:28Speaker 5: be a great song for Anna Murphy and so we
- 10:30Speaker 5: kind of, you know, laughed about that, and we thought,
- 10:31Speaker 5: I will never will never be able to reach out
- 10:33Speaker 5: to her. She doesn't have a clue who we are whatever.
- 10:36Speaker 5: And then again, the joy of working with someone like
- 10:38Speaker 5: Sam Vallen is he just overheard this conversation one day
- 10:42Speaker 5: and he said, oh, well, I've got her, you know,
- 10:44Speaker 5: drummer's email address, because we were meant to play shows together.
- 10:47Speaker 5: You want me to see and kind of, you know,
- 10:49Speaker 5: start this phone tree to essentially get in touch with her,
- 10:51Speaker 5: And sure enough we're able to reach out and send
- 10:54Speaker 5: her the song, and you know.
- 10:56Speaker 1: She graciously agreed to be a part of it.
- 10:57Speaker 5: She said she really enjoyed the track, and so now
- 11:00Speaker 5: we're absolutely thrilled to have.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Her on a song.
- 11:01Speaker 5: And I get to, you know, tick off that I've
- 11:04Speaker 5: sung a duet with Anna Murphy off the off the
- 11:06Speaker 5: career highlight lists.
- 11:07Speaker 1: That's pretty cool. Yeah.
- 11:11Speaker 4: Musically, Valhallor have an interesting blend of melodic death metal
- 11:14Speaker 4: plus power and symphonic metal is infused with healthy doses
- 11:18Speaker 4: and folk. As you say, like to be honest, it's
- 11:20Speaker 4: an awkward mixing of genres that on paper shouldn't work,
- 11:23Speaker 4: but it does.
- 11:27Speaker 5: I'm glad that you think it does, because, yeah, you're right,
- 11:29Speaker 5: it looks like they shouldn't. I think all music fundamentally,
- 11:34Speaker 5: I mean, you know, if you just look at folk
- 11:37Speaker 5: music as we probably all think of it from, you know,
- 11:39Speaker 5: a medieval kind of sense, it was all to be
- 11:41Speaker 5: performed live. It's all just storytelling and getting people to
- 11:45Speaker 5: dance and drink and have a good time and a
- 11:47Speaker 5: tavern or whatever. And you kind of look at that
- 11:49Speaker 5: and you think, well, isn't that just what a modern
- 11:51Speaker 5: heavy metal show is? You just wanting to get a
- 11:53Speaker 5: bunch of people together to headbang and demash and to
- 11:56Speaker 5: have a good time and drink some beers and dance
- 11:57Speaker 5: around with their mates. And so I suppose in that
- 11:59Speaker 5: regard that's how they kind of blend is it's just
- 12:02Speaker 5: this very energetic, you know, dance TEMPOI type of music
- 12:06Speaker 5: for the most part. And then I think the way
- 12:09Speaker 5: that we're able to kind of blend them together a
- 12:11Speaker 5: bit more, dare I say seamlessly, is by incorporating the
- 12:14Speaker 5: symphonic aspects, which kind of bridge that very stark gap
- 12:18Speaker 5: between you know, folk instruments and heavy metal instruments. And
- 12:22Speaker 5: then you know, people are far more familiar with symphonic
- 12:25Speaker 5: metal as we've heard since you know, the seventies and eighties.
- 12:28Speaker 5: So I think that by using those symphonic elements, we're
- 12:30Speaker 5: kind of able to smooth.
- 12:31Speaker 1: The transition between the folk and the metal world.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Yeah, it feels a lot of that in between sonic space.
- 12:40Speaker 4: How about in the creative process, guys, like how do
- 12:43Speaker 4: you get the balance right? Like how do you know
- 12:44Speaker 4: if you go on too far in one direction or
- 12:46Speaker 4: not far enough in another?
- 12:49Speaker 2: That's a great question. I think, Yeah, we've struggled with this.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Before you go.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Lok no, I think you're probably going to say exactly
- 12:57Speaker 5: what I'm going to say, so that's all good.
- 12:58Speaker 6: I was just going to mention how sometimes we've leaned
- 13:02Speaker 6: too far into the symphonic realm and we've.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Lost the metal band side, so to speak.
- 13:10Speaker 6: So we've had to really think about bringing that back
- 13:13Speaker 6: and to you know, because we still want to be
- 13:15Speaker 6: known as a metal band because we are.
- 13:18Speaker 2: So yeah, we you know, I know when we.
- 13:21Speaker 6: Did Legacy, that was that was a really big learning
- 13:24Speaker 6: curve for us at the time, to really find that
- 13:27Speaker 6: balance between just an orchestral track or a metal track.
- 13:33Speaker 6: And yeah, you're right, the finding finding the balance and
- 13:36Speaker 6: and you know, finding space for so many different instruments
- 13:41Speaker 6: that are just coming out of two speakers.
- 13:43Speaker 2: It's it's really difficult.
- 13:46Speaker 5: And I think with the approach to be on the
- 13:48Speaker 5: Stars as well, having learned, you know, from our first
- 13:51Speaker 5: record and from Legacy, as Anthony mentioned, I think the
- 13:54Speaker 5: approach this time was far more to prioritize the band
- 13:58Speaker 5: aspects of the song, which I know sounds dune, but
- 14:01Speaker 5: you know, Anthony and I we love our classical arrangements
- 14:04Speaker 5: and our folk music and all of that. So we
- 14:06Speaker 5: do tend to get a bit carried away with orchestrations
- 14:08Speaker 5: and things, whereas this time we you know, really made
- 14:10Speaker 5: a point to emphasize the band stuff and what will
- 14:13Speaker 5: ultimately be performed live, and then everything else is more
- 14:16Speaker 5: secondary to that rather than it all kind of happening
- 14:18Speaker 5: at the same time in the writing process.
- 14:22Speaker 4: Now, speaking of live, Balhall Or start a run of
- 14:25Speaker 4: four shows to promote the album, picking off in Sydney
- 14:27Speaker 4: and Melbourne over the weekend of May sixteen and seventeen,
- 14:30Speaker 4: then Brisbane and Gold Coast the weekend after.
- 14:32Speaker 3: So what can fans expect from those? How much the
- 14:35Speaker 3: new album we playing.
- 14:37Speaker 1: We're playing most of it.
- 14:39Speaker 5: I think there's only a couple of songs that don't
- 14:41Speaker 5: quite make the cut this time around, because we want
- 14:42Speaker 5: to keep it, you know, a titan energetic show, and
- 14:46Speaker 5: you know, we're bringing a lot of bells and whistles
- 14:48Speaker 5: and kind of upping the anti so to speak. We
- 14:50Speaker 5: always like to push ourselves and to go bigger and
- 14:53Speaker 5: better each time. So this is going to be our
- 14:55Speaker 5: most i guess, for lack of a better term, kind
- 14:57Speaker 5: of theatrical show to date, and our biggest kind of
- 15:00Speaker 5: production show to date, so you know, with an absolutely
- 15:03Speaker 5: jam packed set list, and it's going to be a
- 15:05Speaker 5: lot of fun. It's just we just absolutely love performing
- 15:07Speaker 5: and being on the road. That's our happy place.
- 15:09Speaker 2: You know.
- 15:10Speaker 5: We love writing and recording, but ultimately there's nothing better
- 15:13Speaker 5: than getting on a stage and being able to engage with.
- 15:15Speaker 1: The fans and our friends one on one.
- 15:18Speaker 6: I was going to say, I just can't wait to
- 15:20Speaker 6: get up there and actually just give back to people.
- 15:24Speaker 6: You know, only because this album's coming out eight years
- 15:29Speaker 6: after our first album like that, that's a long wait.
- 15:31Speaker 6: That's time to territories of waiting time, you know what
- 15:35Speaker 6: I mean. So I can't wait to really you know,
- 15:40Speaker 6: as Lucky you mentioned, we're going all out with our production.
- 15:43Speaker 2: It's looking to be our biggest headlines you know so far.
- 15:46Speaker 6: I really can't wait to just mate give a really
- 15:51Speaker 6: authentic and awesome experience for people and just to really
- 15:54Speaker 6: give back and say thank you for sticking around.
- 15:57Speaker 4: And we spoke before about the flow of the album
- 15:59Speaker 4: and the track listing because of the atmospherics and stuff.
- 16:02Speaker 4: So you mentioned you're going to be playing a lot
- 16:04Speaker 4: of the album live, So does that mean, you have
- 16:05Speaker 4: to play it in the same order as the album
- 16:07Speaker 4: to keep that flow going, or it would it be
- 16:09Speaker 4: disjoyed if you chop it up.
- 16:12Speaker 5: Yeah, this was something that we kind of were figuring
- 16:15Speaker 5: out when we were putting the show together and figuring
- 16:17Speaker 5: out the set list. But I think the way we've
- 16:19Speaker 5: done it, we've taken the flow of the album but
- 16:23Speaker 5: incorporated some older songs and broken it up in such
- 16:27Speaker 5: a way that you know, there's the album listening experience
- 16:30Speaker 5: in the sense of, you know, the flow that you
- 16:32Speaker 5: mentioned when you sit down and listen to it, and
- 16:33Speaker 5: then we've got the album kind of I guess live
- 16:36Speaker 5: experience where you're able to keep the energy up a
- 16:38Speaker 5: bit more and kind of pick your moments of light
- 16:40Speaker 5: and shade in a slightly different spot to keep, you know,
- 16:43Speaker 5: to keep fans engaged in a live setting. So the
- 16:46Speaker 5: short answer is, yes, it's broken up, but I think
- 16:49Speaker 5: we've done it in such a way that, you know,
- 16:50Speaker 5: it makes for a fun live show.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Very nice.
- 16:54Speaker 4: Now, before I let you go, guys, the one major
- 16:56Speaker 4: difference between the last time we've spoken now is I've
- 16:59Speaker 4: introduced a little segment called photo bomb, which means before
- 17:02Speaker 4: I speak to you. I'll troll through your social media
- 17:04Speaker 4: and I find a couple of photos and I want
- 17:06Speaker 4: to know more about all Right, I found this.
- 17:08Speaker 3: The first one is pretty cool. The second one, second one,
- 17:11Speaker 3: I'm not sure if you.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Get to like, but I have a gut feeling.
- 17:18Speaker 3: The hell of a lot of people to fit in
- 17:19Speaker 3: one Stairwell.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Oh mate, I was I was tight. Yeah, that was crazy.
- 17:25Speaker 5: That was such a fun show.
- 17:27Speaker 3: It looks like you got some pretty pretty cool people
- 17:29Speaker 3: there with you.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:31Speaker 5: Well, we finished our show at this point and they
- 17:34Speaker 5: were just about to go on stage, and then suddenly
- 17:36Speaker 5: all of our phones started just going off frantically, and
- 17:40Speaker 5: it was Gary, our sound guy at the front there,
- 17:42Speaker 5: just messaging us being like, arch enemy want to have
- 17:44Speaker 5: a photo with you. Get backstage right now. We're like,
- 17:46Speaker 5: what do you mean? They want to have a photo
- 17:47Speaker 5: with us. It was this really weird, like surreal moment.
- 17:51Speaker 5: You know, this was our final show together, I think,
- 17:53Speaker 5: after being together for a week, and they were just
- 17:55Speaker 5: the loveliest group of people. So yeah, I'm glad that
- 17:58Speaker 5: we managed to get a photo together. It was really
- 18:00Speaker 5: really cool.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:04Speaker 4: The second one, and you say you think you might
- 18:06Speaker 4: know what it could be I reckon it could be
- 18:08Speaker 4: too like you can tell me to mind my own
- 18:10Speaker 4: business here, but I'm pretty sure they say you can.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Kiss my idea.
- 18:17Speaker 1: This was coming. We broke, oh dear.
- 18:22Speaker 6: Talking about being authentic all you know, throughout our chat
- 18:26Speaker 6: this morning, and here we go.
- 18:30Speaker 3: I like the way you pardoned the brain health though,
- 18:32Speaker 3: I think here.
- 18:34Speaker 5: Poor Sophie, Sophie is used to the romance between the
- 18:38Speaker 5: two of us. Know, this was just a silly, fun
- 18:41Speaker 5: photo just for.
- 18:42Speaker 1: The for the hell of it.
- 18:45Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't really know what to say about that,
- 18:47Speaker 5: other than I'm glad that this photo still exists on
- 18:50Speaker 5: the internet.
- 18:51Speaker 2: We're all progressive, right guys, It's fine. Sure.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:55Speaker 3: More about Sophie. She looks like she's partner Avenge already.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, she looks exhausted.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Exhausted about bullshit?
- 19:05Speaker 2: Mate?
- 19:06Speaker 4: Tell me, honestly, was that was that stage? So did
- 19:09Speaker 4: someone just happen to take that at the right time?
- 19:11Speaker 5: Oh oh look it's anyone's guest. No, definitely stage, But
- 19:17Speaker 5: it was. It was just a funny, little little something
- 19:19Speaker 5: different for the old wedding album.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, all right, gentlemen, Well thanks for your time.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Pleasure has always well.
- 19:26Speaker 4: He will released a new album, Beyond the Stars, on
- 19:28Speaker 4: April the eleventh, and if you're a fan of these guys,
- 19:30Speaker 4: you had loved this album and if you're not a fan,
- 19:32Speaker 4: this should fucking make you one. So congratulations guys, and
