- 0:08Speaker 3: Good evening and welcome to the Rita Panety Show. Coming
- 0:11Speaker 3: up tonight. Strong Conservatives back in shadow cabinet as Angus
- 0:15Speaker 3: Taylor unveils his way from Bench. We will go through
- 0:19Speaker 3: the appointments with Daniel Wilde and Michael Danby.
- 0:21Speaker 4: Next.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Further revelations about a transgender inflain who prison authorities moved
- 0:27Speaker 3: to a female prison where he sexually assaulted a rape survivor.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Stefaniebastian joins me with the latest on that shocking case.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Hillary Clinton's lies about her and her husband's links with
- 0:41Speaker 3: Jeffrey Epstein and Glayne Maxwell expose.
- 0:43Speaker 4: I'll go through that with Alex.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Stein and more on the Epstein files with Michael Loftus
- 0:49Speaker 3: as we examined implications for the Royal family and Left
- 0:54Speaker 3: is losing. It features this demure lady making a salient
- 0:59Speaker 3: point in a calm and measured way.
- 1:02Speaker 5: God, God, Damn, God, God.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Go but first.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Angus Taylor has unveiled his new shadow front bench, which
- 1:14Speaker 3: he says will be focused on cutting waste, boosting productivity,
- 1:18Speaker 3: and deregulating the economy. Some of the big changes include
- 1:22Speaker 3: the appointment of Tim Wilson as Shadow Treasurer, James Patterson
- 1:25Speaker 3: shifting to Defense, Jane Hume in industrial relations, productivity and deregulation,
- 1:30Speaker 3: and a number of strong Conservatives up back in shadow
- 1:34Speaker 3: cabinet with Andrew Hasty in the industry portfolio, Just Enterprise
- 1:39Speaker 3: now the Shadow Minister for Small Business, and Sarah Henderson
- 1:42Speaker 3: has communications. Tim Wilson said the coalition's economic agenda would
- 1:47Speaker 3: be centered on reward for effort and keeping taxes low.
- 1:51Speaker 3: He also took direct aim at Treasurer Jim Chalmers for
- 1:55Speaker 3: his push to amend the capital gains tax discount.
- 1:59Speaker 4: Have a listen.
- 2:00Speaker 6: We need to unleash the ingenuity and potential of the
- 2:03Speaker 6: Australian community and creating a pathway for jobs in the
- 2:06Speaker 6: private sector. That requires private investment. That means people need
- 2:10Speaker 6: to be confident. And there is one sure fireway to
- 2:12Speaker 6: kill private investment, and that is by adding new taxes
- 2:16Speaker 6: and creating uncertainty on the Australian economy. So Jim Chalmers
- 2:20Speaker 6: floated new housing tax is directly going to harm investment
- 2:24Speaker 6: in the sector where one we need more houses, but
- 2:27Speaker 6: two in creating the jobs that we need and the
- 2:29Speaker 6: skills we need towards more houses.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Let's bring in the panel joining me now as former
- 2:34Speaker 3: Labor MP Michael Danby and Deputy Executive director of this
- 2:38Speaker 3: Suite of Public Affairs Daniel Wilde. Dan I'll start with you.
- 2:42Speaker 3: How do you see this reshuffle. We've got plenty of
- 2:45Speaker 3: moderates still in shadow cabinet, but some bold choices there
- 2:50Speaker 3: from angers Taylor.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Well, it's a step in the right direction.
- 2:55Speaker 7: There's some heavy hitters that have been returned to cabinet,
- 2:58Speaker 7: as you rightly or shadow cabinet, I should say, as
- 3:00Speaker 7: you rightly mentioned, so it is certainly a as I say,
- 3:04Speaker 7: step in the right direction. I think the key thing
- 3:06Speaker 7: for the Liberal Party and the coalition is not just
- 3:10Speaker 7: the people who are there or even the policies that
- 3:12Speaker 7: they have. It's whether or not the community is listening
- 3:16Speaker 7: when the Liberal Party talks.
- 3:18Speaker 1: That is the big question that we don't have an
- 3:20Speaker 1: answer to yet.
- 3:21Speaker 7: It is quite possible that the Party could have the
- 3:23Speaker 7: best policies in the world with the best shadow cabinet
- 3:25Speaker 7: in the world. But we've seen what's happened to the
- 3:28Speaker 7: Tories in the UK, where they have a lot of
- 3:30Speaker 7: good policies on net zero on immigration, for example, But
- 3:35Speaker 7: a lot of people in the UK have said, well,
- 3:37Speaker 7: you guys had over ten years and you botched it,
- 3:41Speaker 7: and so we're all voting for reform. That could be
- 3:44Speaker 7: the case here, and so I just wonder whether that
- 3:47Speaker 7: whether that I guess depth of the trust crisis in
- 3:51Speaker 7: the Liberal Party has been recognized, because if people aren't listening,
- 3:55Speaker 7: it doesn't matter what you're saying. So yeah, step in
- 3:58Speaker 7: the right direction, but let's see whether the public has
- 4:00Speaker 7: open airs to what the party has to say.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Still, how do you, said, Michael, is Angus Taylor the
- 4:06Speaker 3: man to do something about that crisis in trust that
- 4:11Speaker 3: it seems to exist with so many in the Liberal
- 4:14Speaker 3: base looking elsewhere. They are looking at one nation, they're
- 4:18Speaker 3: looking at some other minor parties, independence, and they've stopped listening.
- 4:23Speaker 8: Well, you and Daniel both write the drift to one
- 4:27Speaker 8: nation may have gone too far. So what happens with
- 4:30Speaker 8: this by election in Pharaoh is poor old Angus says,
- 4:35Speaker 8: to come along and get more than one nation or
- 4:38Speaker 8: the independent in a rural and regional electric where Barnaby
- 4:42Speaker 8: Joyce's campaigning against him very difficult. So it could be
- 4:46Speaker 8: denigrated by the first bi election he has to face. However,
- 4:52Speaker 8: he has got some good people who's put forward. I
- 4:55Speaker 8: don't think it's on the basis of moderate or conservative reader.
- 4:57Speaker 8: I think it's on the basis of cut through. Like
- 5:00Speaker 8: Tim Wilson is a very good cut through politician to
- 5:02Speaker 8: win that seat, just as next door to my old
- 5:05Speaker 8: seat in Goldstein against the Teal was so favored by
- 5:10Speaker 8: the ABC and had so much.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Of Daniel money.
- 5:13Speaker 3: It was the only one who defeated a Till, wasn't
- 5:16Speaker 3: he and a white male. So you would think that
- 5:22Speaker 3: they would work against him in those Till electorates, but
- 5:25Speaker 3: he prevailed. Talking about politicians who have cut through, just
- 5:29Speaker 3: Enterprice is back. She has been I think probably the
- 5:34Speaker 3: most successful liberal woman in having cut through. Her impact
- 5:38Speaker 3: on the Voice was incredible. And Andrew Hasty is back,
- 5:42Speaker 3: and he's also been given the position of a deputy
- 5:46Speaker 3: leader in the House of Representatives.
- 5:48Speaker 8: Yes, well, I think he'll be very good at that.
- 5:51Speaker 8: But there's still a couple of puzzles in there. I
- 5:54Speaker 8: can't understand why Ted O'Brien is the foreign spokesman. It
- 5:58Speaker 8: maybe because the former leader in the Senate didn't want
- 6:05Speaker 8: to keep the job. But I think Claire Chandler's very good.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Yes, she's really cut through.
- 6:11Speaker 8: She's from Tasmania and it's hard to criticize her as
- 6:14Speaker 8: a young female from a regional place too, so she's
- 6:17Speaker 8: got all of the categories.
- 6:18Speaker 3: That well, it doesn't seem to matter Dad if a
- 6:22Speaker 3: female could take every diversity box. But if she's conservative,
- 6:27Speaker 3: they will come for her. We've seen that over and
- 6:30Speaker 3: over again. I want to say, I do worry about
- 6:33Speaker 3: some of these moderate stan I mean, how can you
- 6:35Speaker 3: have someone like Julie and Lisa in the Indigenous portfolio
- 6:39Speaker 3: after he backed the Voice, the dangerous and divisive Voice.
- 6:46Speaker 7: I don't get it, But you know, we'll wait and
- 6:48Speaker 7: see what he has to offer in the portfolio responsibilities
- 6:51Speaker 7: that he's been given. I think a broader point here is,
- 6:55Speaker 7: you know, do enough people in the parliamentary team I
- 6:59Speaker 7: guess are they willing to take the risks that are
- 7:01Speaker 7: going to be needed? If it's sort of I mean
- 7:04Speaker 7: it's okay to sort of criticize the government on a
- 7:06Speaker 7: day to day basis, and all of that's important, but
- 7:09Speaker 7: I really think that if not now, then when you're
- 7:12Speaker 7: on a fifteen percent primary right, So if it's not
- 7:16Speaker 7: sort of existential crisis, bells ringing.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 7:19Speaker 7: I just wonder whether this is a steady as she
- 7:22Speaker 7: goes situation.
- 7:25Speaker 1: I don't know. I've got an open mind to it.
- 7:27Speaker 7: But the real thing here is not so much sort
- 7:29Speaker 7: of conservative moderates and so forth. It's between those who
- 7:33Speaker 7: understand the moment.
- 7:34Speaker 1: That they're in.
- 7:34Speaker 7: And it's not just existential for the Liberal Party, it's
- 7:36Speaker 7: for our country. I mean, our country can't keep going
- 7:39Speaker 7: the way it's going, with our economy, with our society.
- 7:42Speaker 7: So it's going to have to be some brave, bold
- 7:45Speaker 7: risk taking to get the Liberal Party out of its position,
- 7:48Speaker 7: but also to help get our country out of the
- 7:50Speaker 7: problems that we have.
- 7:53Speaker 3: I write in the Herald Sun today that we need
- 7:55Speaker 3: to see a policy from them, an immigration policy with
- 7:59Speaker 3: some rastic cuts in the numbers. They can't just talk
- 8:04Speaker 3: about values and the door is closed on those who
- 8:07Speaker 3: hate this country. That's all well and good, I agree
- 8:09Speaker 3: with that, but we need to see a key differentiation
- 8:13Speaker 3: with Labor on a policy that so many Australians care
- 8:17Speaker 3: about and both major parties have ignored. So it'll be
- 8:21Speaker 3: very interesting to see what that policy looks like when
- 8:23Speaker 3: it is released. Let's move on to former Reserve Bank
- 8:26Speaker 3: Governor Philip Blow, who slammed the federal government's cost of
- 8:30Speaker 3: living handouts and failure to boost the economy. Lo said
- 8:33Speaker 3: the government's spending was making the economic challenges worse, and
- 8:38Speaker 3: he warned that bigger issue was labour's failure to act
- 8:42Speaker 3: on productivity and increase growth. He said, productivity capacity of
- 8:46Speaker 3: the economy is not growing very quickly, and the government
- 8:49Speaker 3: wants to keep spending and wants to keep offering people handouts,
- 8:53Speaker 3: which adds to demand, which in the normal course of
- 8:56Speaker 3: events would be fine. But if the supply is not growing,
- 8:59Speaker 3: you can't do it. And if you try to do it,
- 9:02Speaker 3: then interest rates have to go up. Dan, we are
- 9:05Speaker 3: in a serious economic crisis and if these trends continue.
- 9:12Speaker 3: The Albanyzy government seems to just be blind to this.
- 9:15Speaker 3: They show no signs of changing course.
- 9:21Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean they don't understand economics is a part
- 9:24Speaker 7: of it. And what Philip Low has said is spot on.
- 9:27Speaker 7: And ah, well, I mean that's the case.
- 9:30Speaker 1: I mean, if you.
- 9:31Speaker 7: Can pump a lot of money into an economy, provided
- 9:33Speaker 7: the economy is growing faster than the rate at which
- 9:35Speaker 7: you're pumping the money into it, that's fine, it will
- 9:37Speaker 7: absorb it and you won't get higher prices. What Philip
- 9:40Speaker 7: Loow is saying is that our actual capacity is a
- 9:43Speaker 7: nation to generate wealth is declining, right, That is the
- 9:47Speaker 7: key thing. So we're pumping demand up with handouts and
- 9:50Speaker 7: also mass migration that is exacerbating. We know about housing
- 9:54Speaker 7: but everywhere else. But our actual ability to generate wealth
- 9:58Speaker 7: and to increase the supply capacity city of our economy
- 10:01Speaker 7: is actually going backwards as the non market sector is
- 10:04Speaker 7: growing faster than the market sector. Now, yes, you need
- 10:07Speaker 7: to have age care, health care and these other critical services,
- 10:11Speaker 7: but they in and of themselves do not generate new wealth.
- 10:13Speaker 7: The wealth has to come from the private sector, which
- 10:16Speaker 7: is declining as a share of the economy. So you've
- 10:19Speaker 7: got the perfect storm that's happening. And the government doesn't
- 10:22Speaker 7: have a growth agenda. It has a redistribution agenda, so
- 10:25Speaker 7: it's just shifting money around without growing the economy. So yeah,
- 10:28Speaker 7: I mean, inflation is going to go up, in interest
- 10:30Speaker 7: rates are.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Going to go up. In Australians will keep getting poorer.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Now prime in a Stanton Albanezi has appeared on the
- 10:38Speaker 3: ABC and he has blamed all sorts of things, social media,
- 10:42Speaker 3: One Nation, the coalition, it's all of that that's to
- 10:46Speaker 3: blame for the collapse of public trust in government.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Have listened to this.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Think devices like that one making it well, they're pushing
- 10:56Speaker 2: people towards algorithms, push people towards extreme and towards really simple,
- 11:04Speaker 2: not solutions, but identifying problems.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Who's concerned about the fairbrill nature of debate.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Absolutely, and One Nation have always been about identifying problems.
- 11:15Speaker 2: And a primary thing of your problem in life is
- 11:18Speaker 2: because of people who don't look like you, that division
- 11:22Speaker 2: that they have promoted consistently.
- 11:26Speaker 4: There you go, Michael, it's everyone's fault.
- 11:28Speaker 3: It's the devices, it's social media, it's people identifying problems,
- 11:33Speaker 3: taking zero responsibility for his government's role in the collapse
- 11:39Speaker 3: of trust in public in the government.
- 11:42Speaker 8: Really, to quote some of very unfashionable Bill Clinton, it's
- 11:45Speaker 8: the economy stupid.
- 11:46Speaker 1: I mean, it's the fact that all.
- 11:48Speaker 8: The factors that dom that Daniel Wilde was talking about before.
- 11:52Speaker 8: But look, I agree with him about social media, but
- 11:54Speaker 8: don't just focus it on the right and One Nation.
- 12:00Speaker 8: The most febrile, fascist, racist, bigoted stuff comes from the
- 12:06Speaker 8: left these days, and anyone who's in the left who
- 12:09Speaker 8: doesn't stand up and say that is a coward. And
- 12:12Speaker 8: the fact, of course you wouldn't expect him to get
- 12:13Speaker 8: questions like that from the ABC or any examples. But
- 12:16Speaker 8: that's where the worst pressure comes. That's the biggest change
- 12:20Speaker 8: in society. And of course Zuckerberg and all of the
- 12:26Speaker 8: other social media, particularly TikTok, which is run by our
- 12:29Speaker 8: Chinese friends, are behind it.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Well, Dan, it was just a bizarre series of excuses there.
- 12:38Speaker 3: And if he wants to blame devices and social media,
- 12:42Speaker 3: these platforms are dominated by the left. X is probably
- 12:46Speaker 3: the only one that has some semblance of balance since
- 12:49Speaker 3: Elon Musk took it over. But if he wants to
- 12:51Speaker 3: blame the online environment for this angst and to explain
- 12:57Speaker 3: one nation support, I mean he's on the wrong track there.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, get a mirror.
- 13:05Speaker 7: I mean, you're the prime minister that spent the first
- 13:08Speaker 7: eighteen months of your government dividing us by race. That
- 13:13Speaker 7: was your policy to have racial privilege put into the constitution.
- 13:18Speaker 7: The first thing you said after you were elected in
- 13:20Speaker 7: twenty twenty two was acknowledgment of country and that we're
- 13:23Speaker 7: doing voice Treaty.
- 13:24Speaker 1: In truth, you did nothing about anti Semitism.
- 13:27Speaker 7: You continue to run from social division, and you're blaming
- 13:30Speaker 7: one nation who are saying we don't like people who
- 13:33Speaker 7: don't look like us. I've never heard Pauling Hanson say
- 13:35Speaker 7: that before. I mean, arguably that's probably defamatory to say.
- 13:38Speaker 7: Why don't you say it again if you believe that.
- 13:40Speaker 7: I mean, this is a disgrace and one of the
- 13:42Speaker 7: great shames of the coalition having been divided and in
- 13:46Speaker 7: disarray is this government has gotten away with.
- 13:49Speaker 1: So much, so much destruction of our country.
- 13:53Speaker 7: I think alb and Easy there's a reason he never
- 13:54Speaker 7: does interviews, right, he just can't. He just doesn't get it.
- 13:58Speaker 7: He's been in this bubble for so long. He has
- 14:00Speaker 7: no idea what is happening in this country anymore.
- 14:04Speaker 8: Well, soft interviews with the ABC, maybe.
- 14:07Speaker 4: That's that's it.
- 14:08Speaker 3: That's where he will go and point to mobile phones
- 14:11Speaker 3: and blame devices and social media. Now before you go,
- 14:15Speaker 3: I'll talk about Victoria premiers and to Alan was grilled
- 14:18Speaker 3: during a press conference about whether there should be an
- 14:21Speaker 3: investigation into the tax payer money allegedly funneled into the
- 14:25Speaker 3: hands of organized criminals on big built sites. She defended
- 14:30Speaker 3: submitting a CFMU complaint to the state's anti corruption watchdog
- 14:34Speaker 3: following revelations Iback rejected her twenty twenty four referrals eighteen
- 14:40Speaker 3: months ago. Dan the referral was rejected. She was repeatedly
- 14:45Speaker 3: asked when she was told Iback had dismissed her complaint,
- 14:48Speaker 3: but refused to provide any sort of a timeline. I
- 14:54Speaker 3: can't see how in any reasonable environment a premier con
- 15:00Speaker 3: survive something like this. We're talking about fifteen billion dollars
- 15:03Speaker 3: of potential fraud, some estimates up to thirty billion, and
- 15:08Speaker 3: yet Dan, I think.
- 15:10Speaker 4: Labor are going to get away with it again.
- 15:15Speaker 1: They could do.
- 15:16Speaker 7: I sort of have the feeling this could be the
- 15:18Speaker 7: straw that breaks the camel's back. The reason for that
- 15:21Speaker 7: is to cover up is almost always worse than the crime.
- 15:24Speaker 7: And it looks like she's just been trying to get
- 15:26Speaker 7: away with it and sort of hide what's been happening,
- 15:29Speaker 7: even though it's been in her full knowledge. So I
- 15:31Speaker 7: think this could be an issue for them. Just Cinter
- 15:35Speaker 7: Allen is no Daniel Andrews in terms of Daniel Andrews's
- 15:38Speaker 7: ability to weave and dodge and get away with things.
- 15:41Speaker 7: So I do now get the feel that things are
- 15:44Speaker 7: starting to catch up finally. I mean it's taken this long, right,
- 15:47Speaker 7: but finally I think things are starting to catch up.
- 15:49Speaker 1: So you might be right. Maybe they will get away
- 15:52Speaker 1: with it.
- 15:52Speaker 7: I don't know how much people on the street are
- 15:54Speaker 7: paying attention to this, but I've just got the sense
- 15:57Speaker 7: that time's now running out for c. Cinterallan, and it
- 15:59Speaker 7: wouldn't surprise if they replace her, as in the Labor Party,
- 16:03Speaker 7: replaces her with somebody else, probably in a couple of months,
- 16:06Speaker 7: to take them to the election.
- 16:08Speaker 4: I suspect that could be a real possibility. Dan Wild,
- 16:12Speaker 4: Michael Danby, thank you so much for your time.
- 16:13Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Joining me now is Women's.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Foreign Australia Head of Advocacy Stephanie Bastian. Stephanie, I want
- 16:20Speaker 3: to get your reaction to the latest developments in this
- 16:24Speaker 3: outrageous trans prisoners story.
- 16:27Speaker 4: It was revealed that prison bosses in Victoria.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Were warned about moving transgender murder at Clinton Rintool to
- 16:34Speaker 3: a women's prison before he sexually assaulted a rape survivor.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Stephanie appears high level discussions about the transfer were preoccupied
- 16:46Speaker 3: with Rintol's gender preferences rather than what was best for
- 16:50Speaker 3: the female prisoners.
- 16:54Speaker 9: Well, good evening reader, absolutely, I mean this case is
- 16:57Speaker 9: just such a disgrace and when you look at the
- 17:00Speaker 9: level of detail that's coming out. This was a murderer
- 17:02Speaker 9: placed in a prison with a mother, a young mother,
- 17:06Speaker 9: a vulnerable young mother and her baby. How this decision
- 17:10Speaker 9: hadn't reached I mean that the minister at the time
- 17:13Speaker 9: must have known about it, the Corrections department. It's such
- 17:16Speaker 9: a huge, significant event that's occurred in this prison to
- 17:19Speaker 9: be hushed up for four years to result in a secret.
- 17:23Speaker 10: Payment to make it go away is just diabolical.
- 17:26Speaker 9: And even since the Victorian Labor government have done their
- 17:29Speaker 9: review into prison policies around trans and gender diverse people,
- 17:34Speaker 9: they haven't put in a ban on men going into
- 17:37Speaker 9: women's prisons.
- 17:38Speaker 10: It's absolutely shocking.
- 17:40Speaker 9: I mean you would think, after this scenario, and after
- 17:43Speaker 9: the fact that there have been so many sex offenders
- 17:46Speaker 9: and predators applying to move into women's prisons have been
- 17:49Speaker 9: moved in, that that would be a priority. So the
- 17:53Speaker 9: government response has been to run away to avoid responsibility.
- 17:57Speaker 10: But it's really.
- 17:58Speaker 9: Important that we keep the pressure to ensure that they
- 18:01Speaker 9: are held accountable for this diabolical situation.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Now, Premier Allen has said that prisoner's safety is the
- 18:09Speaker 3: top priority, that that is behind their decision making. But
- 18:16Speaker 3: we have not seen that because this is not an
- 18:18Speaker 3: isolated case. We've got other males who identify as female
- 18:23Speaker 3: being put in women's prisons and the safety of those
- 18:27Speaker 3: women seems to be completely disregarded.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Stephanie.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Women have started petitions inmates of started petitions to try
- 18:34Speaker 3: to have their voices heard on this issue because prison
- 18:37Speaker 3: authorities aren't listening and the Labor government isn't listening either.
- 18:41Speaker 10: No, that's right.
- 18:42Speaker 9: We've been campaigning earlier than twenty twenty two on this.
- 18:46Speaker 10: Women from within the prison.
- 18:48Speaker 9: Started a campaign in twenty twenty two themselves and it
- 18:51Speaker 9: went to relevant authorities, relevant ministers to try and get
- 18:56Speaker 9: a male sex offender back in prison for the sexual
- 18:59Speaker 9: assault at tempt did rape of a woman. I mean,
- 19:01Speaker 9: if that is not a clear example where it is
- 19:04Speaker 9: not in the interests of safety for those vulnerable women
- 19:08Speaker 9: in prison to be housed with a male sex offender,
- 19:11Speaker 9: the threshold for safety is incredibly low. In fact, it's
- 19:15Speaker 9: not even there. The whole thing is a joke. I
- 19:18Speaker 9: don't think the government's taking this seriously. But I think
- 19:20Speaker 9: what we need to look at is the fact that
- 19:22Speaker 9: they are so entrenched with this idea of gender ideology
- 19:26Speaker 9: that they're willing to die on a hill that women's
- 19:28Speaker 9: safety comes second to it. Because once we acknowledge that
- 19:32Speaker 9: sex matters in a prison setting, then their whole theory
- 19:36Speaker 9: unravels because sex matters elsewhere too, And so the government
- 19:40Speaker 9: is so captured they would rather die on a hill
- 19:43Speaker 9: than to admit that the whole ideology is wrong.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Well, where are the liberals on this?
- 19:50Speaker 3: Because I think part of the reason labor has just
- 19:53Speaker 3: lurched so far. Left has completely lost the plot in
- 19:57Speaker 3: this issue, and so have all those government institute is
- 20:00Speaker 3: because there is no position really in this state.
- 20:04Speaker 4: Where are the liberals on this issue?
- 20:06Speaker 3: Have they changed their position from the last election where
- 20:09Speaker 3: they seem to back all of this craziness. Are they
- 20:12Speaker 3: saying that they're going to undo some of the changes
- 20:16Speaker 3: we've seen in the last ten years.
- 20:20Speaker 9: Yes, so there's actually been a significant shift with the
- 20:22Speaker 9: Victorian Liberals. Obviously, Brad Batton came out and said some
- 20:26Speaker 9: male offenders, the murderers and sex offenders shouldn't go into
- 20:29Speaker 9: women's prisons, but Jess Wilson put a statement out last
- 20:33Speaker 9: week saying that all men will be banned from going
- 20:37Speaker 9: into women's prisons. That Victorians want a common sense approach,
- 20:41Speaker 9: So we are we really welcome that decision, and I
- 20:44Speaker 9: hope that voters consider that when they go to the
- 20:48Speaker 9: polls in November.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Now, the search continues for missing four year old Gus Lamont.
- 20:55Speaker 3: His disappearance is now being considered a major crime. One
- 20:58Speaker 3: of Guss's Graham parents, Josie Murray, has been charged with
- 21:03Speaker 3: firearm offences at the remote property where the boy was
- 21:07Speaker 3: last seen. Police have maintained the charges are not linked
- 21:11Speaker 3: to the toddler's disappearance.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Important to point that out.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Stephanie's some in the media have been calling him the
- 21:19Speaker 3: boy's grandmother. Tell me why you believe this type of
- 21:23Speaker 3: reporting is misleading.
- 21:26Speaker 9: Well, I think when you're investigating a matter like this,
- 21:31Speaker 9: facts do matter, and I think it's incredibly unfair on
- 21:34Speaker 9: the actual grandmother that people were having to research which
- 21:39Speaker 9: grandmother had been charged in this instance in relation to
- 21:43Speaker 9: the firearms. It was actually the grandfather, and that's very relevant.
- 21:47Speaker 9: People have a right to the truth, they have a
- 21:49Speaker 9: right to know, and when you start describing accused men
- 21:55Speaker 9: as women, that's just not accurate. It's not fair to
- 21:59Speaker 9: the other family is involved, and it's certainly not fair
- 22:02Speaker 9: to the victim as well. Reporting matters, and if you're
- 22:05Speaker 9: worried about the repercussions of using.
- 22:08Speaker 10: Language, use grandparents.
- 22:10Speaker 9: There's other ways to discuss it without pretending that this
- 22:13Speaker 9: boy's grandfather is in fact the grandmother.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Now we've had more cases of trans identified mass shootings.
- 22:21Speaker 3: The person behind one of the deadliest shootings in Canada's
- 22:24Speaker 3: history has been identified as an eighteen year older Jesse
- 22:28Speaker 3: Van Rutisla. Jonathan Kaye writes in Coillette the mass murderer
- 22:34Speaker 3: called himself a woman, but that doesn't mean he was,
- 22:37Speaker 3: or that the rest of us have to live in
- 22:40Speaker 3: the imaginary universe he literally built for.
- 22:43Speaker 4: Himself, Stephanie.
- 22:45Speaker 3: There have been a number of mass shootings, including at schools,
- 22:49Speaker 3: as well as some other high profile cases involving people
- 22:53Speaker 3: identifying as trans or non binary. It's something that meany
- 22:59Speaker 3: in the media shy away from reporting, but it's certainly
- 23:03Speaker 3: something that's being discussed on social media.
- 23:07Speaker 9: Yes, absolutely, But I think the whole issue around gender
- 23:11Speaker 9: identity is that when someone discloses or goes to get
- 23:16Speaker 9: treatment for the fact that they have gender dysphorias, we
- 23:19Speaker 9: have this culture where every other health concern is dismissed,
- 23:23Speaker 9: and quite often when people are struggling with gender dysphoria,
- 23:26Speaker 9: they have a range of other chermabid mental health issues.
- 23:30Speaker 9: And so I think in these instances there are a
- 23:33Speaker 9: normal person doesn't go and shoot up.
- 23:35Speaker 10: A school, shoot up their family.
- 23:37Speaker 9: There are serious mental ill concerns here and these are
- 23:41Speaker 9: not being addressed because of the affirmation approach.
- 23:43Speaker 10: To gender identity.
- 23:44Speaker 9: So not only is this gender ideology doing enormous disservice
- 23:48Speaker 9: to the people that are struggling with these mental health conditions,
- 23:51Speaker 9: it's creating victims and people are suffering as a consequence,
- 23:55Speaker 9: people are dying as a consequence, and it's just it's
- 24:00Speaker 9: a real tragedy. So I think there's a huge loss
- 24:03Speaker 9: in the way that these cases have been dealt with.
- 24:07Speaker 4: Stephanie Bastian, thank you so much for your time.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Tonight still to come, Lefty's Losing Ed plus the latest
- 24:14Speaker 3: from the US, including Hillary Clinton's lies about her and
- 24:18Speaker 3: her husband's links with Jeffrey Epstein and Gallaine Maxwell Alex
- 24:23Speaker 3: Stein will have more on that shortly. You're watching the
- 24:36Speaker 3: Rita Pannehy Show, and it's time for lefties losing it
- 24:40Speaker 3: and let's have a burst of a weapon grade crazy.
- 24:43Speaker 3: I've said it before and I'll say it again. A
- 24:45Speaker 3: septum ring is almost always linked to severe mental health issues,
- 24:50Speaker 3: and this next last is just further proof of that theory.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Here's the thing. I don't want to pitch man. I
- 24:57Speaker 4: don't want that a serb time.
- 25:00Speaker 11: I want to take it into the citytown square.
- 25:05Speaker 12: God, God, damn God, got.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Calming, delightful lady, not at all disgustingly violent and unhinged.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Just a typical lifty losing And let's see it now
- 25:22Speaker 3: from another lifty lady who explains she has no love
- 25:26Speaker 3: for America. She's only in the country because it's easy
- 25:29Speaker 3: to make money.
- 25:30Speaker 11: Let me hold your hand when I say this. We
- 25:32Speaker 11: do not move to America because we think it's a
- 25:35Speaker 11: better country. We move here because it's a little less
- 25:39Speaker 11: worse than our other countries.
- 25:41Speaker 10: Because you're stupid.
- 25:43Speaker 11: To think that we move to this country for some
- 25:45Speaker 11: hot dogs and some baseball. We have better vibes, music, food, culture, history.
- 25:52Speaker 10: Literally all of the aboves.
- 25:55Speaker 11: We just move here because we are looking to make
- 25:58Speaker 11: more money and offer a better chance for our families.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Okay, but if those countries are so much better than America,
- 26:07Speaker 3: then why do you need to move to America to
- 26:10Speaker 3: give your family a better life?
- 26:11Speaker 4: Why would a country.
- 26:12Speaker 3: With such rich culture, traditions, superior in every way to
- 26:17Speaker 3: America not be.
- 26:19Speaker 4: A great place to raise your family.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Why is there more opportunity in America even for an
- 26:24Speaker 3: impoverished migrant?
- 26:27Speaker 4: May want to reflect on that one love now.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Earlier in the week, I brought you their happy news
- 26:32Speaker 3: of CNN losing two thirds of its audience since twenty sixteen.
- 26:36Speaker 4: And here's another reason why they.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Are so hard left these days, that this conspiracy theorist
- 26:43Speaker 3: is the network's chief international anchor.
- 26:46Speaker 4: I'm going to put you on the spot, Senator and
- 26:48Speaker 4: ask you a question about American elections. There are we're.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Going to have them. Are you sure?
- 26:53Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 26:53Speaker 4: Are you sure?
- 26:54Speaker 1: That president?
- 26:55Speaker 10: To me, that is really offensive, But yeah, we're going.
- 26:58Speaker 12: To have them.
- 26:58Speaker 4: Okay, But you know why, because you don't know.
- 27:01Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know why anybody would ask
- 27:03Speaker 1: me that.
- 27:05Speaker 12: You're missing You're missing the lights going on.
- 27:07Speaker 10: I like you, let's talk about but you can convince everybody.
- 27:11Speaker 4: You can assure Americans and others that it will go usual.
- 27:15Speaker 12: Only people worried about us not having elections.
- 27:18Speaker 10: You influte phone booth.
- 27:20Speaker 5: Okay, we're going to.
- 27:23Speaker 4: Just incredible stuff.
- 27:24Speaker 3: I can't believe she really asked the US were going
- 27:27Speaker 3: to hold elections.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Embarrassing to New York now.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Where idiot lefty protesters are blocking Fifth Avenue to yell
- 27:35Speaker 3: at Trump Tower and give it the finger. Yes, I'm
- 27:50Speaker 3: sure the building's feelings are really really hurt. Meanwhile, this
- 27:54Speaker 3: is the man New Yorkers have elected as mayor. Zorn
- 27:57Speaker 3: Mandani is now threatening too and I quote raid our
- 28:02Speaker 3: Rainy Day Fund and retire Benefit Fund.
- 28:05Speaker 4: Good times.
- 28:07Speaker 13: Rather do is ensure that they remain as they are
- 28:10Speaker 13: so that the city can be on firm financial footing. However,
- 28:12Speaker 13: in order to get to this point of closing the
- 28:15Speaker 13: gap on both this fiscal year and the next fiscal year,
- 28:18Speaker 13: we are forced to raid the Rainy Day Fund, the
- 28:21Speaker 13: Retiree Health Benefits Trust Reserve, and to increase property taxes
- 28:25Speaker 13: across these other years.
- 28:26Speaker 3: And increase property taxes. Wowee, got the trifecta.
- 28:30Speaker 1: There.
- 28:31Speaker 4: Now, let's talk about Cardi B.
- 28:33Speaker 3: She's been having a meltdown since the clearly more talented
- 28:36Speaker 3: and successful Nicki Minaj declared his support for the Trump
- 28:40Speaker 3: administration and in particular the work the administration is doing
- 28:43Speaker 3: to protect persecuted Christians in countries like Nigeria and elsewhere.
- 28:48Speaker 3: Cardi B's meltdown has seen her indulge in some bizarre antics.
- 28:53Speaker 3: I don't even know what she is doing in this
- 28:55Speaker 3: next clip, and I apologize in advance for what I
- 28:59Speaker 3: think is going to be an uncomfortable and cringe worthy
- 29:03Speaker 3: thirty seconds. She can hardly walk with all the weird
- 29:40Speaker 3: surgeries as she's had performed as a medical malpractice suit. There, somewhere,
- 29:45Speaker 3: now here is Cardi B taking another tumble, this time
- 29:49Speaker 3: on stage. I just tried there by a dancers trying
- 30:08Speaker 3: to cover that up when she's not falling over like
- 30:11Speaker 3: a drunken clown. Can't you be saying stuff like this,
- 30:15Speaker 3: mouthing off a bad ice and threatening to mace their offices.
- 30:21Speaker 14: So many of the tilty's are the baking.
- 30:32Speaker 15: Beating.
- 30:36Speaker 3: And that's who the Democrats thought was an ideal candidate
- 30:40Speaker 3: to campaign for. Kamala Harris good work team talking about
- 30:44Speaker 3: the Democrats. You know, you have to admire this about
- 30:48Speaker 3: Hillary Clinton.
- 30:49Speaker 4: She has an.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Easy ability to lie with complete confidence, complete lack of shame.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Here she explains to the BBC that her and her husband,
- 30:58Speaker 3: Bill Clinton had no relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and Gallainne Maxwell.
- 31:03Speaker 3: I mean, never mind the fact that Bill Clinton was
- 31:06Speaker 3: a regular on the Lolito Express, never mind that he
- 31:10Speaker 3: had such a bizarre relationship with Epstein that this painting
- 31:14Speaker 3: took pride of place in Jeffrey Epstein's main residence in
- 31:17Speaker 3: New York. Yes, that is the infamous blue dress that
- 31:22Speaker 3: Monica Lewinsky was a rumor to be wearing.
- 31:25Speaker 4: And then there are the links both Hillary.
- 31:27Speaker 3: And Bill had with Gallainne Maxwell through her rather significant
- 31:31Speaker 3: role in supporting the creation of the Clinton Global Initiative.
- 31:35Speaker 3: And so close was the relationship between the two couples
- 31:38Speaker 3: that in twenty thirteen, the Clintons, through their charity, honored
- 31:42Speaker 3: Gallaine Maxwell. This is some four years after sexual abuse
- 31:46Speaker 3: accusations against her emerged and two years after Bill Clinton's
- 31:51Speaker 3: staff recommended banning her from official events.
- 31:55Speaker 4: And who can.
- 31:56Speaker 3: Forget that infamous picture of Gallainne Maxwell at Chelsea Clinton's wedding.
- 32:01Speaker 3: But oh no, Hillary Clinton now claims there was no relationship,
- 32:07Speaker 3: no links with Epstein and Maxwell and the Clintons.
- 32:10Speaker 4: Listen to this, Do you regret the links that there
- 32:13Speaker 4: have been? You know, we have no links.
- 32:17Speaker 12: We have a very clear record that we've been willing
- 32:21Speaker 12: to talk about, which my husband has said he took
- 32:24Speaker 12: some rides on the airplane for his charitable work. I
- 32:30Speaker 12: don't recall ever meeting him. Do you ever meet I
- 32:34Speaker 12: did on a few occasions. And thousands of people go
- 32:38Speaker 12: to the Clinton Global Initiative.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Do thousands of people get honored by the Clinton Global Initiative?
- 32:44Speaker 4: Hillary?
- 32:45Speaker 3: Did thousands get invited to your only child's wedding?
- 32:50Speaker 4: Let's bring in comic Alex Stein.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Alex, what do you make of that explanation from Hillary Clinton?
- 32:58Speaker 16: Well, Hillary Clinton is a psychopath.
- 33:00Speaker 17: I mean she has the ability to lie better than
- 33:02Speaker 17: any Hollywood actress. You know what the weirdest thing is
- 33:05Speaker 17: is with this Savannah Guthrie kidnapping. You know, Savannah's husband,
- 33:09Speaker 17: Michael Feldman, actually worked in the Clinton administration in the
- 33:13Speaker 17: nineties and then he ran a group called the I
- 33:15Speaker 17: think it's called Bickfit. I wrote it down Glover Park
- 33:19Speaker 17: Group that was actually a public affairs consultant where he
- 33:22Speaker 17: worked with the Clintons and basically got all their dirt
- 33:24Speaker 17: off the internet. So there is a weird connection where
- 33:27Speaker 17: this guy is basically like a Clinton cleaner, and then
- 33:30Speaker 17: now his mother in law gets kidnapped right when the
- 33:32Speaker 17: Epstein files come out.
- 33:34Speaker 16: It's almost like I'm just speculating this.
- 33:36Speaker 17: The kidnapping could be somebody sending a message to Savannah
- 33:39Speaker 17: Guthrie not to get involved, because she's one of the
- 33:41Speaker 17: few mainstream media journalists that actually interviewed one of Epstein's victims.
- 33:46Speaker 16: So I don't know. With all of the weird mysteries surrounding.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Napping wild that is a wild conspiracy theory, even for you, Alex.
- 33:55Speaker 3: But I do know you do love your conspiracy theories,
- 33:58Speaker 3: so you're the perfect and to ask this question. There
- 34:01Speaker 3: are millions online on social media at the moment who
- 34:05Speaker 3: are speculating about Glaiy Maxwell's newly released video. There are
- 34:12Speaker 3: many who are saying this is an impostor that she
- 34:15Speaker 3: looks markedly different. Her nose in particular, the say is different.
- 34:21Speaker 3: It's been the subject of much analysis. Surely you don't
- 34:26Speaker 3: subscribe to that sort of wild conspiracy theory.
- 34:30Speaker 16: Well, Rita, of course I do. First of all, you're
- 34:32Speaker 16: big on social media. You've seen those videos.
- 34:35Speaker 17: Well I'm saying, you've seen those videos where they can
- 34:37Speaker 17: buy a mask and it looks like Walter White from
- 34:39Speaker 17: Breaking Bad, so I wouldn't be surprised. And then you
- 34:42Speaker 17: saw the Daily Mail article that said that they had
- 34:43Speaker 17: to use a fake body double and they got rid
- 34:45Speaker 17: of Jeffrey Ebstein's body.
- 34:46Speaker 16: They admitted why do they need to use a body double?
- 34:49Speaker 16: So some funny business is going on. Trust me.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Look, I just can't believe that it would be a fat,
- 34:57Speaker 3: fake Gallay Maxwell and that she's free somewhere in the
- 35:01Speaker 3: tropics enjoying herself.
- 35:03Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 35:03Speaker 3: I mean, I know a lot of conspiracy theories have
- 35:06Speaker 3: proved to be accurate, but that's too wild for me.
- 35:09Speaker 4: I'm not there yet, Alex.
- 35:12Speaker 3: Now, let's talk about this case out of Minneapolis. There's
- 35:16Speaker 3: been more charges arising out of a church being stormed
- 35:20Speaker 3: by anti ice protesters during Sunday service. Temple University student
- 35:25Speaker 3: Jerome Richardson turned himself into police on federal charges relating
- 35:29Speaker 3: to his alleged role in assisting Don Lemon storming that
- 35:34Speaker 3: church in Minnesota, Alex don Lemon continues to play the
- 35:38Speaker 3: victim and is now claiming that he's just hated because
- 35:42Speaker 3: he tells the truth.
- 35:44Speaker 5: I am a great foe because I'm outspoken. The President
- 35:49Speaker 5: doesn't like me. I'm black, I have a platform, I'm gay,
- 35:53Speaker 5: and I am not afraid of them. I am fearless,
- 35:57Speaker 5: and so to them, it's the perfect foil because Maga
- 36:00Speaker 5: hates me. I tell the truth about their cult?
- 36:03Speaker 3: Alex, is that why Don Lemony is mocked and maligned
- 36:07Speaker 3: because he's a brave truth toe.
- 36:11Speaker 17: Well, you know, to be fair, he's not one hundred
- 36:13Speaker 17: percent wrong, because there's nothing more dangerous than somebody that
- 36:16Speaker 17: has nothing to lose, and he's lost at all. He
- 36:18Speaker 17: lost his CNN gig. He's really got nothing else to lose.
- 36:21Speaker 16: So that is the most dangerous person.
- 36:23Speaker 17: That's why it's always best advice not to get involved
- 36:25Speaker 17: with like a homeless person if they're acting crazy because
- 36:27Speaker 17: they got nothing to lose.
- 36:28Speaker 16: So I would say that he's.
- 36:29Speaker 17: In that position where he is a little bit of
- 36:31Speaker 17: he's got a little bit of danger because he could,
- 36:34Speaker 17: you know, basically become a CAUSI as situation where he Now,
- 36:38Speaker 17: if we're being honest to his fans, he looks like
- 36:40Speaker 17: a victim of the Trump administration.
- 36:42Speaker 16: I don't think that he is. I think he deserves
- 36:43Speaker 16: to be in jail.
- 36:44Speaker 17: But he's able to spend that narrative and he probably
- 36:46Speaker 17: got more support because of it. So you know, I
- 36:49Speaker 17: don't think he's actually being that egregious when he says
- 36:51Speaker 17: that he is a little bit of a threat. But
- 36:53Speaker 17: you know, mag is a lot bigger than Don Lemon,
- 36:55Speaker 17: and I don't think that he could take down the
- 36:57Speaker 17: movement whatsoever.
- 37:00Speaker 3: He is loving the attention and the victim playing this arrest,
- 37:05Speaker 3: as he got a standing ovation in some Hollywood crowd.
- 37:09Speaker 3: I mean, this is the golden period of his career
- 37:12Speaker 3: at the moment. He's loving this. Let's talk about one
- 37:15Speaker 3: of your favorite topics. Sydney Sweeney. Busty model and actress
- 37:19Speaker 3: Sidney Sweeney joined the American Eagle Outfitters chairman and CEO
- 37:23Speaker 3: at the New York Stock Exchange last week to ring
- 37:27Speaker 3: the opening bell.
- 37:39Speaker 4: He's looking great in Denham there, Alex.
- 37:41Speaker 3: This follows the viral success of the Sydney Sweeney has
- 37:45Speaker 3: Great Gens campaign.
- 37:47Speaker 4: Which was hugely controversial.
- 37:50Speaker 3: I predicted then that she will switch to woke in
- 37:54Speaker 3: twenty twenty six.
- 37:55Speaker 4: At some point. What do you make of that prediction.
- 37:58Speaker 3: I think we are going to see Sydney Sweeney come
- 38:01Speaker 3: out and just mouth all the leftist talking points.
- 38:06Speaker 17: Well, to be fair, Michael Jordan would always say the
- 38:09Speaker 17: reason why he didn't get involved in politics is because
- 38:11Speaker 17: Republicans by sneakers too, So in that sense, she's been
- 38:16Speaker 17: She's been trying to stay out of it, but I
- 38:18Speaker 17: do think at some point she might benefit from doing it.
- 38:21Speaker 17: She might get more roles because of it. So I
- 38:24Speaker 17: don't think you're necessarily wrong. But she has navigated a
- 38:27Speaker 17: pretty good so far down the middle of not being political,
- 38:29Speaker 17: even though it seems like she's right leaning.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Now, before you go, let's talk about actress Cynthia Arrivo.
- 38:37Speaker 3: She has come out and spoken about the speculation surrounding
- 38:42Speaker 3: her relationship with her wicked costar Ariana Grande. There's been
- 38:46Speaker 3: talk that they are romantically involved. Cynthia has denied this
- 38:50Speaker 3: and talked up the confusion of their relationship to people
- 38:55Speaker 3: not being used to seeing deep and real platonic female
- 38:59Speaker 3: free chips in the media. Alex, I don't know a
- 39:03Speaker 3: deep and real female friendship involves just constantly crying for
- 39:07Speaker 3: no reason, touching each other in public, and just generally
- 39:11Speaker 3: being a little painful.
- 39:13Speaker 4: I hope you'll let my friend be one of the things.
- 39:15Speaker 4: Then then you're raining hand.
- 39:19Speaker 1: In not the time.
- 39:23Speaker 14: Helicopter were such a gift, you such light into the room.
- 39:37Speaker 14: Thank you very much.
- 39:38Speaker 10: We appreciate in this room today.
- 39:40Speaker 14: We need we needed to come.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Even through this presst or something's bothering her, she's going
- 39:45Speaker 2: to make something.
- 39:46Speaker 6: I know she's getting the fixing itch that, Oh thank you.
- 39:52Speaker 10: The biggest pinch me moment for each of you on
- 39:54Speaker 10: the set?
- 39:55Speaker 15: Was it a day you arrived out on the set
- 39:56Speaker 15: or some special moment that happened during the filming of
- 39:59Speaker 15: this For each what was the biggest pinch Alex?
- 40:01Speaker 3: I don't know what's happening there, but that necklace did
- 40:04Speaker 3: not need to be adjusted.
- 40:05Speaker 4: I know that much.
- 40:06Speaker 3: What do you make of this Geo and Cynthia Rivo's
- 40:10Speaker 3: explanation of their relationship.
- 40:13Speaker 16: Well, I definitely think they're hiding something.
- 40:16Speaker 17: I mean, just the way that they're just so openly
- 40:20Speaker 17: affectionate towards one another.
- 40:21Speaker 16: That's just bizarre.
- 40:22Speaker 17: But when you watch that video, they almost look like extraterrestrials.
- 40:26Speaker 17: It doesn't like it looks like it's almost an AI
- 40:28Speaker 17: rendition of two human beings talking.
- 40:30Speaker 16: So I hope that they both get the help that
- 40:33Speaker 16: they need.
- 40:33Speaker 17: I think they've both been hurt by a lot of men,
- 40:35Speaker 17: so that's probably why they've connected in this weird relationship.
- 40:40Speaker 3: I like that theory. The men are to blame. Alex Stein,
- 40:43Speaker 3: thank you for your time. Tonight, It's still to come.
- 40:46Speaker 3: The Royals rocked by even more revelations about Andrew's disturbing
- 40:50Speaker 3: relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Michael Loftus has the details.
- 41:05Speaker 4: Welcome back.
- 41:06Speaker 3: Joining me now is writer and comic Michael Loftus. Michael,
- 41:10Speaker 3: let's start with Whoopy Goldberg. She's denied having any involvement
- 41:15Speaker 3: with Jeffrey Epstein after her name appeared in the files.
- 41:18Speaker 4: Here she is on the view with her side of
- 41:21Speaker 4: the story.
- 41:22Speaker 18: In the name of transparency, can you put up my
- 41:29Speaker 18: name is in the file? It says Whoopy needs a
- 41:33Speaker 18: plan to get to Monaco. John Lennon's charity. It should
- 41:36Speaker 18: say Julian Lennon's charity is paying for it. People are
- 41:39Speaker 18: trying to turn me into I wasn't his girlfriend.
- 41:44Speaker 4: I was for him. I was not only too.
- 41:47Speaker 18: Old, but it was at a time you know where
- 41:50Speaker 18: this is just not You used to have to have
- 41:53Speaker 18: facts before.
- 41:55Speaker 1: You said stuff.
- 41:56Speaker 4: Michael, what's your reaction to that?
- 41:58Speaker 3: Interesting that to support a charity she needs a private
- 42:02Speaker 3: jet to Monaco. I mean I would have thought it'd
- 42:05Speaker 3: jump on a plane pay for your own afairs.
- 42:07Speaker 4: But put that to one side. What's your reaction to that?
- 42:11Speaker 15: I feel bad for woo Be Goldberg. This is so cringey.
- 42:16Speaker 15: You're yeah, she could have she could have bought a ticket,
- 42:20Speaker 15: she could have hired a jet. There's service. She wanted
- 42:23Speaker 15: to be close with Jeffrey Epstein, she wanted in. This
- 42:27Speaker 15: was her excuse to ask him for a favor. And
- 42:29Speaker 15: she doesn't say his response. He just wrote back two words,
- 42:34Speaker 15: no thanks. So Jeffrey Epstein, who's world famous for like, oh,
- 42:39Speaker 15: he likes women, he likes the ladies, he likes the party,
- 42:43Speaker 15: and whoopy Goldberg is like, hey want to hang out
- 42:46Speaker 15: and he's like, no thanks. Oh, Jeffrey Epstein turned her down.
- 42:51Speaker 15: That's she's gonna be going to therapy for years to
- 42:54Speaker 15: get over that, and.
- 42:57Speaker 3: Yeah, the private jet thing, it's not good. Look, but
- 43:00Speaker 3: it's got to be said. There are a lot of
- 43:02Speaker 3: names in the files that aren't guilty, but there are
- 43:06Speaker 3: also names.
- 43:06Speaker 4: Who deserve far more scrutiny. In the US.
- 43:09Speaker 3: At the moment, you've got saturation coverage of this Nancy
- 43:13Speaker 3: Guthrie story, the suspected kidnapping of TV host Savannah Guthrie's mother.
- 43:20Speaker 3: It is a terrible case, but the coverage Michael has
- 43:23Speaker 3: just been completely out of whack when you consider the
- 43:27Speaker 3: coverage of the Epstein files.
- 43:30Speaker 15: Yeah, this is like watching like a pen and teller routine,
- 43:35Speaker 15: Like every magician does that misdirection thing. Hey, don't look
- 43:39Speaker 15: over here, look at this, And there's so much misdirection
- 43:43Speaker 15: going on. There's gonna be a beauty pageant at some point,
- 43:46Speaker 15: and someone's gonna get the Savannah Guph three Glove Award.
- 43:50Speaker 15: I can tell you everything about this woman. It's wall
- 43:54Speaker 15: to wall coverage. You've got like nine billion terror bytes
- 43:57Speaker 15: of emails, videos, photograph, listen to everything with Epstein. But
- 44:02Speaker 15: they're like, ooh, what do you think, Savannah Guthrie, what
- 44:06Speaker 15: do you think? What do you think she got when
- 44:08Speaker 15: she went out to lunch two years ago. I don't care.
- 44:12Speaker 15: Somebody tell me about Epstein. Tell me about people getting arrested.
- 44:15Speaker 15: For the love of.
- 44:15Speaker 4: God, Yeah, and there are people.
- 44:19Speaker 3: I had to look at some of the comments that
- 44:21Speaker 3: people are posting to media personalities or even mainstream media
- 44:26Speaker 3: outlets when they update on this story, and they're saying,
- 44:29Speaker 3: enough the coverage of this is too much.
- 44:33Speaker 4: Focus on some other stories.
- 44:35Speaker 3: Now, let's take a close look at one of those
- 44:38Speaker 3: prominent individuals featured in the Epstein files. A private email
- 44:42Speaker 3: from January twenty fifteen between Jeffrey Epstein and a journalist
- 44:47Speaker 3: has revealed that the man formerly known as Prince Andrew
- 44:50Speaker 3: allegedly had consensual sex with Virginia Giuffrey at least three
- 44:54Speaker 3: times in two thousand and one when she was just seventeen.
- 44:58Speaker 3: When the pediphile financier replied, he did not correct the
- 45:02Speaker 3: journalists who stated it as a fact that the former
- 45:06Speaker 3: prince had slept with the trafficking victim.
- 45:09Speaker 4: Michael Landon. Thomas Junior, who.
- 45:11Speaker 3: At the time was with The New York Times, advised
- 45:14Speaker 3: Epstein to distance himself from Andrew because he had sex
- 45:19Speaker 3: with Virginia. He wrote, I think the big issue is
- 45:22Speaker 3: separating yourself from Andrew. I mean, in the end, he
- 45:26Speaker 3: had consensual sex with Virginia, and Virginia worked for you.
- 45:30Speaker 3: The rest is atmospherics. You have moved on exclamation mark.
- 45:35Speaker 3: People don't know that and can't accept that.
- 45:37Speaker 4: Unless you say as much.
- 45:40Speaker 3: And I can't believe that We've got a New York
- 45:42Speaker 3: Times writer giving pr advice, crisis management advice to a
- 45:48Speaker 3: convicted petiphile Michael, Yes, Yes.
- 45:52Speaker 15: Jeffrey Epstein, who ran like a criminal, a global criminal
- 45:56Speaker 15: organization who writers, is now saying that the it's reaching
- 46:00Speaker 15: the levels of crimes against humanity. And he's calling a
- 46:06Speaker 15: New York Times journal, the New York Times that's supposed
- 46:08Speaker 15: to be Oh, we're about objectivity and journalism and cold heart.
- 46:12Speaker 15: This is like the guy who ran the Hindenberg talking
- 46:16Speaker 15: to the gas station attendant about fire insurance. This is
- 46:20Speaker 15: the craziest thing I've ever seen.
- 46:22Speaker 18: Now.
- 46:22Speaker 3: The former Prince has also been ghosting the US House
- 46:25Speaker 3: Oversight Committee probe into his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, the
- 46:29Speaker 3: committee revealing that Andrew has not yet responded Michael. This
- 46:34Speaker 3: comes as his ex wife, Sarah Ferguson is moving to
- 46:37Speaker 3: dissolve five of her companies amid this Epstein.
- 46:41Speaker 15: Fallout and Andrew Betterby, I'm sorry the artist formerly known
- 46:47Speaker 15: as Prince Andrew Right now, he's just gone by a symbol.
- 46:51Speaker 15: It's a question mark because he hasn't responded to the
- 46:55Speaker 15: US government wanting to talk to him. Does this guy
- 46:58Speaker 15: not watch the news? If they ask government wants to
- 47:01Speaker 15: talk to you, you better show up because Trump will
- 47:04Speaker 15: just go and venezuela him that we will just go
- 47:07Speaker 15: get We will pull a Nicholas Maduro on his pasty
- 47:10Speaker 15: white butt and he will show up.
- 47:14Speaker 1: Oh tho.
- 47:15Speaker 3: Yeah, that is a threat that anyone would take seriously.
- 47:18Speaker 3: And I'm tipping his protection isn't as good as what
- 47:22Speaker 3: Madua would have had, and they didn't seem to help
- 47:25Speaker 3: him out too much.
- 47:26Speaker 4: Now this next story, I could not believe.
- 47:31Speaker 3: This story about Kim Kardashian and F one star Lewis
- 47:35Speaker 3: Hamilton that they're dating.
- 47:37Speaker 4: Now.
- 47:37Speaker 3: Normally that wouldn't be that surprising two famous people getting together,
- 47:41Speaker 3: except Lewis Hamilton has previously dated Kim's younger sister, Kendall
- 47:47Speaker 3: Jenna Michael. Fans online are up in arms about this.
- 47:51Speaker 3: They're calling this coupling disgusting. Are they being unfair because
- 47:55Speaker 3: love is love and he can't help you fall in
- 47:58Speaker 3: love with you know what.
- 48:02Speaker 15: I think the public is being very fair. This is disgusting,
- 48:06Speaker 15: But maybe maybe they're really trying to Maybe it's getting
- 48:11Speaker 15: the most out of the day. They're gonna say so
- 48:13Speaker 15: much time at Christmas dinner that you don't even have
- 48:15Speaker 15: to make the introductions. I think you know Mom, I
- 48:18Speaker 15: think you know him. You definitely know my sister. You
- 48:21Speaker 15: know her in the biblical sense.
- 48:23Speaker 4: I don't know God.
- 48:24Speaker 15: Well, maybe he's maybe he's a race car driver and
- 48:27Speaker 15: he's just gonna speed run the whole family. Mom is
- 48:30Speaker 15: on his list.
- 48:31Speaker 4: Who knows well.
- 48:33Speaker 3: Yes, Chris is looking very good these days, but the
- 48:37Speaker 3: Kardashian men.
- 48:38Speaker 4: Don't do too well.
- 48:40Speaker 3: There's a bit of a curse when he comes to
- 48:42Speaker 3: men who get together with one of the sisters or
- 48:44Speaker 3: even men within the family.
- 48:46Speaker 4: So Lewis Hamilton better be careful about.
- 48:49Speaker 3: That, Michael, because he's in a very dangerous occupation.
- 48:53Speaker 4: He's got to be very careful.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Michael Loftis, thank you so much for your time tonight, and.
- 48:58Speaker 4: That's all the time I have.
- 49:00Speaker 3: I'll see you at eleven Tomorrow Night with Douglas Murray.
- 49:04Speaker 4: Up next, it's Newsnight.
