- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Job loss and artificial intelligence, of course, that seems to be on everybody's mind because well most of us have jobs and we're a little concerned with what could eventually happen.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: Because I think innately we know that uh businesses, corporations, on some level, they're completely greedy.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: So if they can get something for almost nothing and then improve their profit, well, why wouldn't you?
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: But there's a one more step I think all these corporations need to venture into.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: What happens when those people don't have jobs anymore?
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: Now, so you might think, well, let's just go get another job.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: Well, if you're gonna do it, you might be the first early adopter in human replacement with artificial intelligence.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: Congratulations, good for you.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: And you're gonna have quite a wave to ride.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: It's not gonna take long for you to increase your earnings and make a lot more money, and hopefully you sock it away for the day.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Well, eventually money will probably be absolutely worthless.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: The printed dollar, potentially.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: There's probably going to be a lot that's going to happen.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: But this isn't that type of video.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: I'm not trying to tell you what not to do, but maybe just think of that next step.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: So if those people that you've let go, because artificial intelligence is going to do a much better job, and you want to increase your bottom line, it could be that those people might not be able to go employment, get employment anywhere else.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: I guess that would probably make sense because other people are going to go out and utilize artificial intelligence for their particular businesses, and then they're going to replace those employees.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: So, really, there's not going to be jobs like people think.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: And what happens is the machine breaks down when that occurs.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: There are no more jobs, there are no people to buy the product, there are no people to invest in the company, to buy the stocks.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: I think that's a natural progression.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: Not saying that's going to happen.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: It might be that these businesses have a coming to Jesus moment, if you will, and say, oh my gosh, if we get rid of our people and everybody else gets rid of their people, then there's no people to pay for things.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: So we're not even in the business of having a business anymore.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: So it all fails.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: The suggestion might be, let's keep everybody.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: Let's see how that works out on paper.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: At least try it for a little while.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: Keep all your employees, even if what they do doesn't contribute at all to the company in any kind of a way, if they're a net zero, and even if you think, well, they're actually a loss because there's liability issues, what if they slip and fall?
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Then let them go home.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Let them work from home, let them do some kind of meaningful work.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: And because they have context and reference, maybe they're actually able to help the systems that you're hiring to replace them be even better.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: So thereby giving them some kind of value.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: But maybe that's a consideration.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: Maybe keep the human and your bottom line still increases.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: I'm Connor.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: We'll see you in the next one.
