  - plan their course, but the Lord establishes

  - Well, we wanna talk about some of the

  - challenges
• 2:16
  - that we as humans are tasked with on

  - a daily basis.

  - And

  - it goes something like this.

  - We make plans.
• 2:29
  - We set timelines to finish those plans,
• 2:32
  - and we imagine how things should unfold as
• 2:35
  - we're trying to fulfill the timelines and the
• 2:37
  - plans.

  - And then
• 2:40
  - life happens.

  - It changes.
• 2:44
  - A door closes.
• 2:47
  - A delay happens.

  - Someone makes a decision we didn't expect,

  - and they didn't consult us about it.

  - And suddenly,

  - we're trying to reconcile what we planned

  - with what actually happened.

  - Now disappointment often comes from the distance between

  - our expectations

  - and our reality.

  - We can begin questioning God simply because his

  - route doesn't look like the one we imagined,

  - and it usually never will or does.

  - But prayer gives us a place to surrender

  - the plan without surrendering our faith.

  - We can honestly tell God we're disappointed while
• 3:32
  - still saying,

  - father, I trust you with what I don't

  - understand.

  - And

  - the powerful part of this is that scripture

  - reminds us that an unexpected change in our
• 3:47
  - plans
• 3:48
  - doesn't mean God has lost direction. In fact,

  - he always knows where we are,

  - and he's trying to get us to trust

  - him so that we can get what
• 3:58
  - he wants done.

  - It's easier said than

  - done. But that being said,

  - we could always pray about it.

  - Heavenly father, you know the plans

  - we carry

  - and the disappointment

  - we feel when life doesn't unfold the way

  - we expected it to.

  - Help us to release the future we've imagined

  - and trust the future you already see.

  - Give us peace when doors close,

  - endurance
• 4:30
  - when answers are delayed,

  - and discernment for the next step.

  - Help us to gird ourselves with

  - praise

  - in the midst of all of the disappointment

  - and the doubt.

  - And when we don't understand your direction,

  - help us remain confident in your character,

  - and we will bless you in Jesus' name.
