- 2:34Speaker 4: can win some postseason tickets at the end of the season.
- 2:38Speaker 3: So all right, head over to.
- 2:40Speaker 4: One O four five, ESPN Dot com to sign up
- 2:44Speaker 4: rouses to cover your spread.
- 2:47Speaker 3: All right, So let's get back into the film room
- 2:50Speaker 3: with Matthew Clayton Flynn. He was watching tape and I
- 2:55Speaker 3: picked up on a little tendency there from the old
- 2:58Speaker 3: miss Land Sharks.
- 2:59Speaker 5: So that's want to give of our viewers, our listeners
- 3:01Speaker 5: kind of like a like an inside look at the
- 3:05Speaker 5: things that I look for when I watch film. And
- 3:09Speaker 5: so we've talked about like in my tenure in the NFL,
- 3:12Speaker 5: this is stuff I didn't learn when I was in
- 3:13Speaker 5: college or look for in college and my tenure in
- 3:16Speaker 5: the NFL. You look for every advantage you can going
- 3:20Speaker 5: into a game. Most teams do it legally, some teams
- 3:24Speaker 5: do it illegally. Connor Stallions. Yeah, but one thing I
- 3:27Speaker 5: always look for is how is the defense communicating? How
- 3:32Speaker 5: are how do they understand what play that they're running
- 3:36Speaker 5: on defense? Because they have play calls just like they
- 3:38Speaker 5: do on offense. So I used to rip signals from
- 3:43Speaker 5: opponents during games. Used to look at defensive backs. I
- 3:46Speaker 5: used to look at the DB's the defensive backs coach,
- 3:50Speaker 5: how the linebackers are communicating out to the corner because
- 3:53Speaker 5: there's one guy that gets to play call in his
- 3:55Speaker 5: helmet with a speaker and that's the usually usually the
- 3:58Speaker 5: middle linebacker. But everybody else has to know what it
- 4:01Speaker 5: is too, So how are they getting that information? Some
- 4:04Speaker 5: teams are better at it than others, and believe it
- 4:07Speaker 5: or not, football is a very complicated score to sport
- 4:11Speaker 5: to play, but it's not rocket science. And a lot
- 4:14Speaker 5: of times there's very obvious things that you can pick
- 4:16Speaker 5: on and tells that you can get from an offensive perspective.
- 4:21Speaker 5: Some are easier than others. And by god, this week
- 4:26Speaker 5: they signal a lot. Yeah, they are a high signaling defense.
- 4:31Speaker 5: They do it and they communicate with hand signals, and
- 4:34Speaker 5: they're all not all very creative. So if LSU can
- 4:38Speaker 5: pick up on a little bit and I don't know
- 4:41Speaker 5: what they're doing, I don't know if they watch you know,
- 4:43Speaker 5: we used to watch TV copies and try to pick
- 4:45Speaker 5: up on verbal communication what words mean. Like if they
- 4:50Speaker 5: say all right, you might hear them say down left,
- 4:52Speaker 5: it means down left, safety's coming down left. They might
- 4:55Speaker 5: say laser. It means the safety's coming down left. They
- 4:58Speaker 5: might say rocket. Okay, safety done right.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I got it.
- 5:01Speaker 5: So we would look for all those things. We look
- 5:03Speaker 5: for signals. I'm gonna show you a couple of clips here,
- 5:06Speaker 5: and we always talking coverage. Where's cover zero, which means
- 5:12Speaker 5: there's no safety help, it's a zero blitz. There's one
- 5:14Speaker 5: on one coverage. Cover one means man. Cover two is
- 5:18Speaker 5: a type of zone two high zone. Cover three is
- 5:21Speaker 5: a one high zone. Cover four is a different type
- 5:23Speaker 5: of like there's one, two, three, and four. Well cover
- 5:26Speaker 5: one is man de mand So what I'm gonna show
- 5:30Speaker 5: you here is three clips out and there's multiple of these,
- 5:33Speaker 5: so I want you to see. The referee is just
- 5:35Speaker 5: spot of the ball, the linesman and so he's backing off.
- 5:38Speaker 5: So everybody's communicating at this point. I got it paused
- 5:41Speaker 5: because we just got to the line of scrimmage. Offense
- 5:44Speaker 5: knows the play, the defense has just got a call
- 5:47Speaker 5: in ye, and they're just signals, so they're all communicating
- 5:50Speaker 5: with each other. Up top, you're gonna see him communicate.
- 5:53Speaker 5: I want you to watch a little signal up here
- 5:55Speaker 5: at the top. The safety right here. You see what
- 5:59Speaker 5: he's doing. He's communicating with hand signals to his cornerback
- 6:03Speaker 5: and what did he just skip to him and gave
- 6:06Speaker 5: him the number one? He said, hey, we're running cover one. Yeah, oh,
- 6:13Speaker 5: how about this nickel down here? He just looks at
- 6:16Speaker 5: the corner and goes like this cover one. He just
- 6:20Speaker 5: shakes his wine. Hey, and Elandra, Yes, what cover do
- 6:25Speaker 5: you think they run on?
- 6:26Speaker 6: This?
- 6:26Speaker 3: Play?
- 6:27Speaker 4: Cover one?
- 6:28Speaker 5: Cover one? So right there, I watched film for ten minutes.
- 6:32Speaker 5: I'd already ripped the signal and it wasn't hard. Okay,
- 6:36Speaker 5: Oh sure, sure man, sure Jake. They're probably in a hurry.
- 6:41Speaker 5: That's not their normal signal for cover one, is it. Well,
- 6:45Speaker 5: let's go find out. Let's go to the third quarter
- 6:49Speaker 5: random play here, m let's watch he's guy signal a lot.
- 6:54Speaker 5: Oh look at this safety right up here? What finger
- 6:58Speaker 5: did he just communicate to?
- 7:01Speaker 3: One? What about this guy out here?
- 7:03Speaker 5: Look at this guy right here, he's counting, he's counting,
- 7:05Speaker 5: counting eight, looks at him and he goes, one, Oh,
- 7:09Speaker 5: look at this guy one. He's not just pointing the
- 7:13Speaker 5: sage Ryan.
- 7:13Speaker 3: They're all going all going Cover one, doing it again,
- 7:19Speaker 3: wanting to the other safety holding out and oh my god, one,
- 7:23Speaker 3: look at look at number three right here.
- 7:24Speaker 5: He backs up and he goes like this one one one,
- 7:29Speaker 5: Oh my god, what coverage are they running? Taylor Cover one,
- 7:33Speaker 5: Cover one that's called Man the Man. They didn't do
- 7:36Speaker 5: it real well either that Sage still gets beat. Play
- 7:38Speaker 5: the play where's he going? Yeah, where's the crossing?
- 7:43Speaker 3: Completely misses him.
- 7:44Speaker 5: Go back to that.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Well, he's got the he's the only one that's in zone.
- 7:47Speaker 5: So they do they run?
- 7:52Speaker 3: You're talking about you, talking about him about look and
- 7:54Speaker 3: then he just then he just runs towards the opposite
- 7:56Speaker 3: side line like.
- 7:57Speaker 5: No, he doesn't run. He yos soft jay, you're right, okay,
- 8:03Speaker 5: all right? Maybe one time, okay, could be a flag
- 8:08Speaker 5: two times.
- 8:08Speaker 3: It's starting a little bit of a streak.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Certainly there's not three clips in there in this game,
- 8:12Speaker 5: but they're just singing one. Oh, what's thirty two? He's
- 8:16Speaker 5: a corner, isn't he? What's this signal? He's given down here?
- 8:18Speaker 7: One?
- 8:19Speaker 3: One? Yep, that's where this plays out. I think they're
- 8:25Speaker 3: gonna run.
- 8:26Speaker 5: Can I get a guess?
- 8:27Speaker 3: Shove hands?
- 8:28Speaker 5: If you think you're gonna run Cover one here, I'll
- 8:30Speaker 5: it up.
- 8:30Speaker 3: You know what.
- 8:31Speaker 5: I don't think they're gonna do it this time. There
- 8:33Speaker 5: you go, we'll see, we'll see what happens.
- 8:37Speaker 4: It's looking pretty, oh boy, looking pretty Cover one to me.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Yeah, it's cover one.
- 8:43Speaker 5: It is it?
- 8:44Speaker 6: Now?
- 8:44Speaker 5: You see here they do what they do down here
- 8:46Speaker 5: is you got two tight receivers, so they in and
- 8:49Speaker 5: out this first person across the inside guy will take
- 8:51Speaker 5: him man and then the other guy you know.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's actually a tough play for safety. Safety
- 8:56Speaker 3: cuts him because you can hit that drag right there
- 8:59Speaker 3: and your guys got So there we go.
- 9:01Speaker 5: I mean, genius, How did I How did I pick
- 9:05Speaker 5: that one up?
- 9:06Speaker 6: Ye?
- 9:06Speaker 3: They're covered three signals, not holding up three fingers, but
- 9:09Speaker 3: it's pretty easy to pick up. Yeah, they covered three s. Yeah,
- 9:15Speaker 3: so I don't know, I don't know, but the one
- 9:20Speaker 3: is truly wild.
- 9:22Speaker 5: It pretty hey cap one and.
- 9:25Speaker 3: So those look, those are the things you look for.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Those are the things that.
- 9:28Speaker 5: Usually they're a little bit more complicent.
- 9:29Speaker 3: About to say. I was just about to saying, so Matt,
- 9:31Speaker 3: it's really good at picking up signals, like he did
- 9:33Speaker 3: it for a long time legally, legally. But there's there's
- 9:38Speaker 3: some that are easier than others to pick up. And look,
- 9:41Speaker 3: it's always mind games. Like if this was directional school
- 9:46Speaker 3: you and not Arkansas and a dog fight that they
- 9:48Speaker 3: were in, I could say, well, maybe they were just
- 9:49Speaker 3: trying to put that on tape. You know what I'm saying,
- 9:51Speaker 3: like to try to down the road, throw up the
- 9:54Speaker 3: one and play something else.
- 9:55Speaker 5: I don't know if you do that in college like
- 9:57Speaker 5: you would do like in the NFL, you do dummy
- 9:59Speaker 5: stuff you would do? Did you have many signals?
- 10:02Speaker 3: Dummy can't be either a code word that everything I'd
- 10:05Speaker 3: do is dummy and it doesn't mean anything, or a
- 10:07Speaker 3: code signal like a third base coach in baseball, like
- 10:09Speaker 3: if I tap my helmet, then i'd I give a
- 10:11Speaker 3: signal like it's nothing. It doesn't mean any as soon
- 10:14Speaker 3: as I tap my helmet, whatever I do, whatever I
- 10:16Speaker 3: say until I say the turns it live doesn't mean anything.
- 10:19Speaker 5: Oh, we'd legitimately just say hey, I'm going to signal
- 10:22Speaker 5: on this play ignore it. And so we'd have like
- 10:24Speaker 5: an all go hinge called and we'd signal something that
- 10:27Speaker 5: meant like the opposite of that, like double slants or something,
- 10:30Speaker 5: and they would just ignore it. So it was put
- 10:31Speaker 5: on tape. I don't think the cover one and one
- 10:36Speaker 5: finger does that. It's funny, it's not rocket science.
- 10:41Speaker 3: People just like so, like when I was in Denver,
- 10:44Speaker 3: Omahall meant something completely different almost every other week, because
- 10:48Speaker 3: like they wanted you to think Omahall was a certain thing,
- 10:51Speaker 3: and then once you got an idea of what Oma
- 10:53Speaker 3: Hall was, and here we are were changing it. Like
- 10:56Speaker 3: you'd say, ice cream, ice cream, ice cream. Well, whatever
- 10:59Speaker 3: I say after ice it does not matter. There is
- 11:01Speaker 3: nothing that is live. So I'm gonna get out there, right,
- 11:05Speaker 3: I'm gonna do all that. But as soon as I
- 11:07Speaker 3: say oh in the hall, every the next is live. Yep,
- 11:10Speaker 3: Like whatever I said after that is live. So I mean,
- 11:12Speaker 3: it's it's mind games. But to your point holding up
- 11:15Speaker 3: to one for cover one that's not in the same
- 11:18Speaker 3: situation that we're talking about, Yeah, they do.
- 11:20Speaker 5: So they signal a lot their linebackers, their defensive bags,
- 11:24Speaker 5: and it's something to watch for too. Like when you
- 11:26Speaker 5: see them signaling a lot, you see a lot of this.
- 11:30Speaker 5: You see a lot of the hands up like I
- 11:31Speaker 5: didn't get the call, like I saw it a ton
- 11:33Speaker 5: and watching two games, there's a lot of times where
- 11:37Speaker 5: there's one defensive back that's not getting the call. So
- 11:40Speaker 5: look for that, look for some sort of bust and
- 11:42Speaker 5: you have to take advantage of that as an offense.
- 11:45Speaker 5: If they're not getting the communication. They're usually like, well,
- 11:51Speaker 5: if a DV doesn't get a communication, he usually just
- 11:54Speaker 5: like tries to play some sort of zone and or
- 11:56Speaker 5: if everybody's in man, he picks up that everybody's in
- 11:59Speaker 5: man late and you get a step on him. Yeah,
- 12:01Speaker 5: I feel like that was an issue for him last
- 12:03Speaker 5: year too.
- 12:03Speaker 3: And like everybody holds Pete Golding in such a high regard,
- 12:07Speaker 3: Like I'll give Pete his credit. He's a great defensive mind.
- 12:11Speaker 3: But sometimes there's things you just can't do at the
- 12:13Speaker 3: college level unless you have a full buy in from
- 12:16Speaker 3: everybody on that defense to buy into it. And so
- 12:21Speaker 3: sometimes in college which is not fair to the coach,
- 12:26Speaker 3: but you can have so much up that it does
- 12:28Speaker 3: get But I Pete's great, that doesn't always translate that.
- 12:32Speaker 3: You get to find a way to translate to your
- 12:33Speaker 3: players too, Like that's on him as well. But to
- 12:36Speaker 3: your point, there was a lot of busted things from
- 12:39Speaker 3: a year ago and you see some of that in
- 12:42Speaker 3: tape this year. All right, great breakdown there by it
- 12:44Speaker 3: that we do have chef Michael Johnson instead to join
- 12:47Speaker 3: us when we come back before we take this break.
- 12:50Speaker 3: But to remind you about Central Plumbing Central Plumbing dot
- 12:52Speaker 3: Org not only in Central but the entire greater Baton

- 13:00Speaker 3: game day, holiday does not matter. Two two five nine

- 13:09Speaker 3: they can come in and do that. And if you're
- 13:11Speaker 3: looking to go tankless. With the tankless water heater, never
- 13:15Speaker 3: run out of hot water again, no matter what you
- 13:17Speaker 3: got going on laundry, dishes, showered, does not matter. You
- 13:22Speaker 3: got hot water for as long as you wanted to.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Like literally, it never runs out. And trust me, my
- 13:27Speaker 3: children try to test that all the time. But it's
- 13:29Speaker 3: okay because when you're tankless, you're gonna be taken care

- 13:45Speaker 3: should probably give the two signal because you want to
- 13:48Speaker 3: go for dose.
- 13:48Speaker 5: Give me two of them.
- 13:49Speaker 3: You don't need just one. You need to I want

- 13:52Speaker 5: Only one X on it? Who wants that?

- 13:57Speaker 3: what you're gonna get with do sech So if you

- 14:12Speaker 3: pack dough sechies. Because it is always a great time,

- 17:04Speaker 5: So when you when the team is on the road,
- 17:07Speaker 5: you know you're relying on you know, the staff, the uh,
- 17:12Speaker 5: the chefs there, whether it's the hotel or whether wherever.
- 17:15Speaker 5: It's feeding the team. So what kind of hand and
- 17:17Speaker 5: like what kind of role do you play within that
- 17:20Speaker 5: feeding the team on in a way and an uncomfortable
- 17:22Speaker 5: in a different environment.
- 17:24Speaker 7: Yeah, so it's got to be an un threatening role, right,
- 17:26Speaker 7: Like I got to walk into somebody else's kitchen and
- 17:28Speaker 7: ask them to do stuff our way, right, And so
- 17:31Speaker 7: you don't do that in a commanding voice. You do
- 17:33Speaker 7: that with an ask, you know, you go in there
- 17:36Speaker 7: and you have to be humble and not arrogant. You
- 17:38Speaker 7: have to you know, build trust quickly without without wrinklinging
- 17:43Speaker 7: feathers or you know what I mean.
- 17:45Speaker 6: And so.
- 17:46Speaker 7: That's it. That's it in a nutshell. You just have
- 17:49Speaker 7: to go in there and you understand that that's it's
- 17:51Speaker 7: not your kitchen, and you're asking people to do things.
- 17:54Speaker 7: And unfortunately, you know, we've been doing this for long
- 17:57Speaker 7: enough that that rapport has been built with a lot
- 17:59Speaker 7: of places that we go to, specifically the SEC schools,
- 18:03Speaker 7: and then you know, when you go into the larger cities,
- 18:06Speaker 7: for instance, if we're going to Atlanta for a champion
- 18:09Speaker 7: you know, like an SEC championship. In New Orleans for
- 18:12Speaker 7: an SEC Championship, you have professional hotels there that had
- 18:15Speaker 7: you know, they do this all the time, and so
- 18:18Speaker 7: you're really there just to kind of guide them a
- 18:20Speaker 7: little bit and and and give them information that is necessary.
- 18:25Speaker 7: You know, for instance, this year's team eats very early
- 18:28Speaker 7: for breakfast, and that's a lot of them show up
- 18:30Speaker 7: for breakfast. We've had years where the team kind of
- 18:33Speaker 7: trickled in through breakfast and you don't need all the
- 18:35Speaker 7: food available right at doors and then like and then
- 18:38Speaker 7: when this team comes in, you know, you better have
- 18:40Speaker 7: seventy five percent of the food ready at doors because
- 18:42Speaker 7: they're all sitting outside waiting to eat. They're ambitious. So
- 18:46Speaker 7: knowing those little, those subtle, little details helps us prepare
- 18:50Speaker 7: for success on the road.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Cheft, there's a lot of people wondering if you're going
- 18:56Speaker 3: to get chicken on the stick at the gas station
- 18:59Speaker 3: at Oxford.
- 19:00Speaker 7: Uh. You know what I had already this morning was
- 19:03Speaker 7: uh was a hot link in the world's Worst Ash Brown.
- 19:12Speaker 7: I'm gonna avoid gas station from this point off. I
- 19:16Speaker 7: will tell you this though. My uncle called me. He's
- 19:18Speaker 7: he lives in Loranger and he's got a lot of
- 19:21Speaker 7: Mistippi friends, and he tells me I need to go
- 19:23Speaker 7: to Como's Steakhouse. So let mean to go and seek
- 19:26Speaker 7: you that tonight.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Yeah all right, Jeff.
- 19:29Speaker 5: When you want to treat your shelf yourself to like
- 19:32Speaker 5: just a good old fashioned restaurant breakfast, Yeah, what's your
- 19:36Speaker 5: like go to? Is it a waffle house, cracker, barrel,
- 19:38Speaker 5: eye hob? Like, what's chef's go to restaurant breakfast?
- 19:42Speaker 7: Yeah it's waffle house. Man, I take my kid's waffle
- 19:44Speaker 7: house every every Sunday morning. It's it's, you know, like
- 19:49Speaker 7: absolute chaos, and I love it. I've actually it's actually
- 19:53Speaker 7: been in a waffle house. It was brand new and
- 19:55Speaker 7: super clean, and I turned around walked out. I was like,
- 19:57Speaker 7: I can't do this. Look, I don't trust this at
- 20:00Speaker 7: all of.
- 20:05Speaker 3: What's going on.
- 20:06Speaker 7: Yeah, we used to go to I Hop with my kids, man,
- 20:10Speaker 7: and there's always a line and you're waiting for thirty minutes.
- 20:12Speaker 7: And I'm just not that big a fan of pancakes, man,
- 20:15Speaker 7: Like I'm a Hash Browns guy and they just do
- 20:18Speaker 7: hash Browns, right, you know.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Chef, we got a question which southern state has the
- 20:25Speaker 3: worst cuisine.
- 20:28Speaker 7: That's a good one. Man. That's tough, you know, like
- 20:32Speaker 7: just just I mean I'm in Mississippi right now, so
- 20:35Speaker 7: I kind of want to poke at them, but I think, like,
- 20:38Speaker 7: I don't know, probably Florida, to be honest with you,
- 20:40Speaker 7: you know, like I've had some really good food in
- 20:43Speaker 7: Alabama and in and in Mississippi, some good old Southern
- 20:46Speaker 7: cooked foods. I'm gonna poke with Florida to Florida today.
- 20:49Speaker 6: Man.
- 20:49Speaker 3: All right, hell, look this show, We'll poke at Florida
- 20:54Speaker 3: every day and all day.
- 20:55Speaker 7: So that's right, Yeah, that's right.
- 20:57Speaker 5: Oh, I would think probably uh per capita, the South
- 21:00Speaker 5: has probably the best cuisine of anybody. Yeah, at least
- 21:04Speaker 5: we got good Southern like comfort biscuits. Yeah, you can
- 21:07Speaker 5: get that anywhere in the South.
- 21:08Speaker 7: I mean, honestly, if you if you just said SEC,
- 21:10Speaker 7: I would probably poke at Missou because you know, like
- 21:13Speaker 7: even I even grew up in Missouri and they just
- 21:15Speaker 7: have land food. But uh, you know, if you're if
- 21:18Speaker 7: you're saying in the South, I'm gonna take a pokes.
- 21:20Speaker 3: Wait a minute, are you trying to tell me Missouri,
- 21:22Speaker 3: which is in the Southeastern Conference, isn't in the South?
- 21:26Speaker 7: Well, the southern half of it is the northern miss
- 21:30Speaker 7: The Missouri River splits the state of Missouri in half.
- 21:34Speaker 7: A lot of people don't know this, but the Mason
- 21:35Speaker 7: Dixon line split Missouri in half and it was kind
- 21:39Speaker 7: of an invisible piece of it. And that's that's how
- 21:42Speaker 7: the Missouri Kansas border War started with quadrills razors. So
- 21:46Speaker 7: there's a lot of history in that. Actually, yeah, uh chift.
- 21:50Speaker 5: So we not a ton of questions coming in uh here,
- 21:53Speaker 5: but I do have one that's intriguing a lot of comments,
- 21:56Speaker 5: not a lot of questions, but I do have one
- 21:57Speaker 5: here that's a little little intriguing to me. What's a
- 22:02Speaker 5: food conspiracy or conspiracy theory that turned out to potentially
- 22:07Speaker 5: be true. I know there's there's a lot of different
- 22:08Speaker 5: like food science things that happens. We've talked a little
- 22:11Speaker 5: bit about the gluten before Freestyle, But what's a food
- 22:14Speaker 5: conspiracy that you have found that's just you know, it
- 22:16Speaker 5: ain't true.
- 22:18Speaker 7: I don't know. I don't get into food conspiracy theories
- 22:20Speaker 7: too much. I'm more into food history, you know, like
- 22:22Speaker 7: because I think conspiracy theories are built off of things
- 22:25Speaker 7: that have potential and not things that have been proven,
- 22:27Speaker 7: and so I don't really pay as much attention to it, right,
- 22:30Speaker 7: you know, like I think that every time they have
- 22:32Speaker 7: this this new superfood, that's kind of a conspiracy to
- 22:36Speaker 7: you know what I mean, Like food has been around
- 22:38Speaker 7: for so long that I really I really hesitate to
- 22:42Speaker 7: think that, you know, like the superfoods are still being found,
- 22:45Speaker 7: you know, Like I mean, we've discovered so much stuff
- 22:48Speaker 7: that it's difficult for me to accept that, you know,
- 22:52Speaker 7: there's a new superfood that's been found and it's the
- 22:54Speaker 7: save all you know, it's gonna make us all skinny
- 22:57Speaker 7: and we're gonna lose fat, and you know what I mean.
- 22:59Speaker 7: And so I think they're in in that wheelhouse there
- 23:03Speaker 7: something that's going to you know, improve the whole world
- 23:06Speaker 7: and make us all lose weight. You know, those are
- 23:09Speaker 7: the things I kind of question.
- 23:10Speaker 5: Yeah, it's from the rainforest. It's a very from the
- 23:12Speaker 5: rain forest.
- 23:13Speaker 7: That's right, Yeah, right, exactly. Yeah, she had last.
- 23:16Speaker 3: One before we let you go. We're about to tell
- 23:18Speaker 3: the people about supreme rice. What's your favorite type of rice?
- 23:23Speaker 7: So I deal with I deal with a grain of rice.
- 23:28Speaker 7: It's actually it was it was made it's she's I've
- 23:33Speaker 7: been up since two thirty this morning. Guys a brain
- 23:38Speaker 7: it used to be uh, I don't know. I can't
- 23:41Speaker 7: remember the name of the name of the grain of rice.
- 23:43Speaker 5: Right now, wondering.
- 23:46Speaker 7: Yeah, right, Well, the grain of rice that we purchased
- 23:49Speaker 7: is a high protein, low glycemic index, and it's the
- 23:53Speaker 7: LSU helped construct it, you know, like they helped modify
- 23:56Speaker 7: this this rice drain so that it had of glycemic
- 24:00Speaker 7: index for people who are diabetic and still like rice,
- 24:03Speaker 7: and so in essence, you don't have to eat as
- 24:06Speaker 7: much rice to get a higher amount of protein, if
- 24:09Speaker 7: that makes sense. So it's it's pretty interesting in that
- 24:14Speaker 7: it used to be called prairie Acadian and now I
- 24:16Speaker 7: can't think of the name that it is. But Mike
- 24:19Speaker 7: Fruger runs business, and you know, he came to me
- 24:22Speaker 7: with the grain of rice and I looked at it
- 24:25Speaker 7: was and was skeptical of it. And after I did
- 24:28Speaker 7: my research in it, it just made a lot of sense.
- 24:30Speaker 7: So you know, we we we do serve brown rice
- 24:34Speaker 7: and jazz and rice and all other kinds, but when
- 24:36Speaker 7: it comes to Louisiana, that's that's the grain that I use.
- 24:39Speaker 3: All right, there he is, Chef Michael Johnson, good enough
- 24:41Speaker 3: to join us for your monkey questions every single week. Chef,
- 24:44Speaker 3: we appreciate as always, sir, take care of gush supreme
- 24:49Speaker 3: rice as the ice as well. In case you were
- 24:52Speaker 3: wondering that low the option. All right, Patrick willis NFL

- 25:08Speaker 3: that is a great option for diabetics. They also have
- 25:12Speaker 3: brown long grain, medium grain jasmine. They've got it all
- 25:16Speaker 3: over at Supreme Rice. Since the nineteen thirties, Supreme Rice
- 25:20Speaker 3: has delighted their customers for jumble ayas, that's you fay stews, redbeans,
- 25:24Speaker 3: and gumbos. It is located right here, southwest Louisiana. You
- 25:28Speaker 3: go to Crowley, Man, they have done so much for
- 25:31Speaker 3: the town. I told you we played baseball tournament there.

- 25:37Speaker 3: Just it feels like home when you go see them

- 25:49Speaker 3: I go jasmine.
- 25:50Speaker 5: I go medium grain. That is actually what I make, almost,
- 25:52Speaker 5: not that long grain stuff. I know it's traditional, but
- 25:54Speaker 5: I like meeting green and I like it. I'm Supreme
- 25:56Speaker 5: Supreme Rice right here. Every grain is Supreme and every

- 26:15Speaker 1: listening to off the bench.
- 26:18Speaker 6: Near the counter mine.
- 26:20Speaker 8: The dawn stops jumping, the sun go down.
- 26:27Speaker 2: They got whiskey women.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Excuse all right, welcome back in it is OTV here
- 26:32Speaker 3: on this Thursday morning. Very excited for our next interview
- 26:36Speaker 3: somebody that I was never excited to play against because
- 26:39Speaker 3: he was better than me, and that is Patrick Willis
- 26:42Speaker 3: NFL Hall of Famer ole miss Legend there play his
- 26:46Speaker 3: entire career there for the San Francisco forty nine ers. Patrick,
- 26:50Speaker 3: what's going on? Man, glad to have.
- 26:51Speaker 9: You on the show, Hester, buddy, thanks for having me, Man,
- 26:55Speaker 9: glad to be on. Always good to chop it up
- 26:57Speaker 9: with you, to talk up with me. So yeah, man,
- 27:00Speaker 9: excided for this weekend, all right?
- 27:03Speaker 3: True or false? You have a club on your hand
- 27:05Speaker 3: right now?
- 27:07Speaker 6: No what not at the moment. Not at the moment.
- 27:11Speaker 9: But I'm sure I'm sure we could, uh we can
- 27:13Speaker 9: put one together though, real quick, dude.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Hey, p really man, we were talking about it right
- 27:18Speaker 3: at the beginning of the show, and so like, I
- 27:20Speaker 3: feel like every time I played you, man, you had
- 27:22Speaker 3: a hand injury that you had to club up. But
- 27:24Speaker 3: do you remember y'all came and played us in San
- 27:26Speaker 3: Diego and you and TK both had clubs on your
- 27:30Speaker 3: right hands, and y'all right there in the middle of
- 27:33Speaker 3: the defense and as a fullback having to block both
- 27:36Speaker 3: of you guys. It wasn't very fun.
- 27:39Speaker 7: Man.
- 27:39Speaker 9: I remember that like it was yesterday. I remember it
- 27:41Speaker 9: just the actually the game before I think we had
- 27:44Speaker 9: both we had played Arizona and we were just trying
- 27:47Speaker 9: to get to the playoffs to back then you know,
- 27:49Speaker 9: the NFC West, you could just you could be eight
- 27:52Speaker 9: and eight and get in and and so we had
- 27:55Speaker 9: to win.
- 27:56Speaker 6: We had we needed to.
- 27:56Speaker 9: Beat Arizona, then we needed to beat you guys, and so, man,
- 28:00Speaker 9: there was no way that we were not going to
- 28:01Speaker 9: play in that game. I remember I broke my hand
- 28:03Speaker 9: the first the first quarter of the game, and then
- 28:06Speaker 9: right I think it was like two serious ladies. Tal
- 28:08Speaker 9: came on and said both I think I just broke
- 28:11Speaker 9: my hand.
- 28:11Speaker 6: I was like, man, put messing with me. Man.
- 28:13Speaker 9: And you know when operating rooms on Monday and playing
- 28:17Speaker 9: you guys on on Thursday was cruising that hand in clubs.
- 28:22Speaker 3: I know and didn't miss beat. It was always so impressive.
- 28:26Speaker 3: I do want to certainly get to the old Miss
- 28:27Speaker 3: Lsu stuff though, But man, congratulations, I know I sent
- 28:31Speaker 3: you a message, but I just want to tell you
- 28:33Speaker 3: here with words getting into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
- 28:36Speaker 3: And I tell people often, and I know you don't
- 28:38Speaker 3: like when I say it, Man, you're the best I
- 28:39Speaker 3: played against, and I played against some of the greats.
- 28:42Speaker 3: But you know, when you have a combination of being smarter, faster,
- 28:46Speaker 3: and stronger than somebody you're going against, it's a bad
- 28:48Speaker 3: combo for that guy. So, man, you played the right way.
- 28:51Speaker 3: You did everything the right way. You were always humble
- 28:53Speaker 3: in your approach as well. So congratulations on getting into
- 28:55Speaker 3: the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
- 28:58Speaker 9: Man, I really appreciate those, Jacob. I'm really really grateful.
- 29:02Speaker 9: I thank God for just the opportunity to pursue, you.
- 29:06Speaker 6: Know, a dream and a reality.
- 29:09Speaker 9: You know, I always say I dreamed with the reality
- 29:12Speaker 9: and to be able to, you know, go play at
- 29:15Speaker 9: that level and not just play at it. But you know,
- 29:17Speaker 9: leaving Mark, you know, I give all prison glory to God.
- 29:21Speaker 9: And I think my teammates, my coaches, family, friends, everyone, man,
- 29:25Speaker 9: So you know, I didn't get there alone. So I'm
- 29:27Speaker 9: very appreciative and it was awesome. It was awesome experience
- 29:31Speaker 9: and grateful to be in be in the Pro Football
- 29:34Speaker 9: of Fame.
- 29:36Speaker 5: Amen to that for sure, Patrick, what's up man, It's
- 29:38Speaker 5: it's Mathlins. So I you know I spent.
- 29:43Speaker 6: It's good good to your boy fellas.
- 29:47Speaker 5: That's right. Yeah, I spent a lot of time having
- 29:51Speaker 5: to do scouter reports on you. As a backup quarterback
- 29:54Speaker 5: in Green Bay, I had to do scouter reports on
- 29:56Speaker 5: defenders all the time. So it's kind of that's one
- 29:58Speaker 5: of my jobs. So you know, being an n S
- 30:01Speaker 5: north Man, we had great linebackers areas Lance Spriggs, Brian
- 30:05Speaker 5: NeuRA Locker. There was great ones. But when we had
- 30:07Speaker 5: to play the Niners, we had to do a scout
- 30:10Speaker 5: report on Patrick Willis. It's just something a little bit
- 30:12Speaker 5: deep different about you and that whole linebacker cord during
- 30:15Speaker 5: that period of time. Like you talk about intimidation, you
- 30:18Speaker 5: talked to like about the black clubs. On the hand
- 30:20Speaker 5: you talked about just how y'all flow around and played together.
- 30:23Speaker 5: It was something else. And and to bring up the
- 30:27Speaker 5: you know what, we got what you're on here this
- 30:29Speaker 5: week for we got L s u O. Miss, it
- 30:31Speaker 5: was the same thing scouting you back in college. So
- 30:34Speaker 5: when you look back at your your battles at that time,
- 30:37Speaker 5: old miss L. S u Is there, do you have
- 30:39Speaker 5: a memory that sticks out from the L s U game.
- 30:43Speaker 9: Oh man, I just got was thinking about L s
- 30:45Speaker 9: U when I when I got to l when I
- 30:47Speaker 9: got to old Miss, I remember, you know, my rookie year,
- 30:51Speaker 9: I mean freshman year. It was Eli's year, and I
- 30:56Speaker 9: just remember how big it was. I feel like every
- 30:58Speaker 9: game was big just because it was and we did
- 31:01Speaker 9: okay that year. We ended up sharing the NC I'm sorry,
- 31:06Speaker 9: not NFC, but the SEC West with you guys. And
- 31:10Speaker 9: I just remember.
- 31:12Speaker 6: Just how massive the game was, and.
- 31:15Speaker 9: So I remember them telling us when we want to
- 31:18Speaker 9: play you guys.
- 31:19Speaker 6: I think this might be in my.
- 31:20Speaker 9: Junior year, it was like, man, be comfort down the LSU.
- 31:25Speaker 7: Uh.
- 31:25Speaker 9: It's you know, man, it's dangers down there. You gotta
- 31:27Speaker 9: don't worry anything. That's old Miss, how you can get
- 31:29Speaker 9: in a fight, no thing that was in my head.
- 31:32Speaker 9: The only thing I remember telling my family.
- 31:33Speaker 6: I was like, listen, whatever.
- 31:34Speaker 9: Y'all do is just working neutral colors. I said, we're
- 31:36Speaker 9: gonna go in there, We're gonna try to play the besketball.
- 31:38Speaker 6: We can play. But I remember going.
- 31:40Speaker 9: Down there, man, and it was so freaking dag gonna loud.
- 31:44Speaker 9: It was almost like playing down there was like playing
- 31:46Speaker 9: in the NFL game every Sunday. But I do remember
- 31:50Speaker 9: going down there, man, and we never beat you guys,
- 31:53Speaker 9: but I do remember going I think it was to
- 31:56Speaker 9: Marcus Russell. The year we played Marcus Russell and them
- 31:59Speaker 9: guys down there. It could have been my sophomore year.
- 32:01Speaker 6: It was one of them years.
- 32:02Speaker 9: But I just feel like I had one of the
- 32:03Speaker 9: best SEC.
- 32:04Speaker 6: Games I ever had, and that was.
- 32:08Speaker 9: And a lot of they had to do with just man,
- 32:09Speaker 9: just want to go down to LSU, want to play well,
- 32:11Speaker 9: but then really go down there and get up out
- 32:13Speaker 9: of there.
- 32:14Speaker 5: To your point, I think I just looked it up.
- 32:16Speaker 5: Eighteen tackles at the end of the day. Yeah, somebody
- 32:19Speaker 5: that said, we have a little chat with a lot
- 32:20Speaker 5: of our listeners will kind of tell us their thoughts
- 32:22Speaker 5: and they're like, yeah, I remember that game, and the
- 32:24Speaker 5: PA announcer the entire time said tackle made by number
- 32:27Speaker 5: forty nine Patrick Willis.
- 32:30Speaker 7: Yeah, that's an overtime game.
- 32:32Speaker 3: If I'm not mistaken, I believe that was an over Yeah.
- 32:35Speaker 9: We went, we went down to the wild with you guys.
- 32:37Speaker 9: And then another one one, another one real quick was
- 32:40Speaker 9: do you remember when we played you guys. I think
- 32:42Speaker 9: that was the last year that played you guys down there.
- 32:44Speaker 9: It could have been my senior year and Orge Roynd
- 32:47Speaker 9: was our head coach and we was a visiting teams obnestly,
- 32:50Speaker 9: and we were supposed to run out. I remember, I
- 32:52Speaker 9: remember coach Tins. I mean, I remember coach Ron Sam
- 32:56Speaker 9: for get those guys. We're gonna run out when they
- 32:59Speaker 9: run out, And I remember thinking about that.
- 33:00Speaker 6: I was like, Coach, I don't think we can do that. Man.
- 33:02Speaker 6: You go, you're gonna make them mad. They already have,
- 33:05Speaker 6: like they already had all the top.
- 33:07Speaker 9: Guys over there, and you're gonna you're gonna piss him
- 33:09Speaker 9: off me more probably on the type of people there. Man.
- 33:11Speaker 9: Don't make nobody, no, no more bad than they already
- 33:14Speaker 9: have to be to play.
- 33:15Speaker 6: And we ran out. And so we waited.
- 33:18Speaker 9: We waited, and I'm say, as soon as they called
- 33:20Speaker 9: you guys, we ran at the same time and the
- 33:21Speaker 9: crowd was like.
- 33:22Speaker 7: Ooh yeah. I was like, oh.
- 33:27Speaker 6: Man, so yeah it was.
- 33:30Speaker 9: There's some great memories going to get la she in disaport.
- 33:34Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 33:34Speaker 3: I remember one enough told Patrick the story in person
- 33:37Speaker 3: before I knew he was different. When we were running
- 33:40Speaker 3: stretched to the left and Patrick was lined up outside
- 33:43Speaker 3: on the right side of the defense. And I remember
- 33:45Speaker 3: getting the stretch and I had a little bit of
- 33:47Speaker 3: a gap and I put my foot in the ground
- 33:48Speaker 3: and forty nine met me in the hole and I'm like,
- 33:51Speaker 3: wait a minute. He was on the complete opposite side
- 33:53Speaker 3: of where he was going. Where How what? Wait a minute,
- 33:57Speaker 3: I don't understand. And that's tonight. Patrick. You had a
- 34:00Speaker 3: team tackle, so you knew exactly what was going on.
- 34:03Speaker 6: The ball go getball.
- 34:06Speaker 3: And you also had to play on the goal line
- 34:08Speaker 3: against L. S U in Oxford that every time I
- 34:11Speaker 3: see a highlight tape of you is on there because
- 34:14Speaker 3: you you did body slam one of our guys on
- 34:16Speaker 3: the goal line there. I'm sure that's a player that
- 34:18Speaker 3: you get asked about a lot.
- 34:21Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, shout out to I was was that was
- 34:23Speaker 9: that just an event?
- 34:24Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 34:25Speaker 9: It was yeah, yeah, shout out to him.
- 34:27Speaker 7: Man.
- 34:28Speaker 9: I know a lot of people are giving the you
- 34:30Speaker 9: know joke about you know that player when I would
- 34:33Speaker 9: talk about it, and you know, it's just football being played.
- 34:36Speaker 9: But I will say, man, Coach Orgern told me, Coach
- 34:40Speaker 9: Orgrun told me. My asked me the first day I
- 34:42Speaker 9: met him, he said, I want you to be the
- 34:43Speaker 9: general of my defense. And I remember looking at him like,
- 34:47Speaker 9: I think, I know what that means. But that means
- 34:49Speaker 9: like to be the man right that the top dog.
- 34:51Speaker 9: And but a lot of people don't know what comes
- 34:53Speaker 9: along with being the top dog, with being the captain,
- 34:55Speaker 9: of being that that man and that being that person.
- 35:00Speaker 9: And so that particular play, I remember calling the front
- 35:04Speaker 9: and that's the middle line back to me, and the
- 35:05Speaker 9: person's making a call and you got to make sure
- 35:07Speaker 9: everybody lined up and correct and get everybody straight. And
- 35:09Speaker 9: I remember making a call and I looked in front
- 35:12Speaker 9: of me and my gap wasn't what it was supposed
- 35:14Speaker 9: to be, and I was like, oh shit, she's like
- 35:16Speaker 9: I was like, oh crap, old crap.
- 35:20Speaker 6: And the only thing in.
- 35:20Speaker 9: My head was I could hear or dron if you
- 35:23Speaker 9: are the general in my defense. And I'm the type
- 35:24Speaker 9: of person too as a leader. Whatever happens, whatever goes
- 35:28Speaker 9: on that feel like good, bad or.
- 35:30Speaker 6: Indifferent, it's on me.
- 35:31Speaker 9: And so the only thing in my mind was I
- 35:33Speaker 9: got to make this right.
- 35:34Speaker 6: I got to make this right. And I just remember
- 35:36Speaker 6: the ball snapped and I.
- 35:38Speaker 9: Will say I think they might. I think you guys
- 35:40Speaker 9: might have got the first down. But it was the
- 35:43Speaker 9: play and attack and everything was so it was so like, man,
- 35:48Speaker 9: it was nice.
- 35:48Speaker 6: It was nice of the kind of stuff that you
- 35:50Speaker 6: always wish you could do.
- 35:51Speaker 9: You see, you saw people go on TV and stuff
- 35:53Speaker 9: growing up. But yeah, it was just a heck of play.
- 35:56Speaker 9: But I had to I had to make that play
- 35:57Speaker 9: right because we lined up wrong and it was on me.
- 36:01Speaker 6: And so yeah, that's that.
- 36:03Speaker 3: Was it now, Patrick, and we're catching up with Patrick
- 36:06Speaker 3: Willis here on ot B LSU Old Miss is this weekend.
- 36:10Speaker 3: I want to ask you just about the Old Miss
- 36:11Speaker 3: program and where they're at and what Lane Kiffin has
- 36:14Speaker 3: done for the program. I mean, it's double digit wins
- 36:17Speaker 3: now every single season, and he's getting them to win
- 36:19Speaker 3: totals that they've never seen before in program history and
- 36:22Speaker 3: every single year. Now y'all are in the conversation. You're
- 36:25Speaker 3: in the conversation to make a run and maybe get
- 36:27Speaker 3: into the college football playoffs, certainly since it's expanded to
- 36:31Speaker 3: twelve teams, like for you and for like when you
- 36:33Speaker 3: played at Old Miss, and you're right, like y'all had
- 36:35Speaker 3: some really good moments when you first got there and
- 36:38Speaker 3: Eli Manning and you're playing for the division. But like
- 36:41Speaker 3: to see them where they're at now, like as a
- 36:43Speaker 3: former old Miss rebel, like what does that mean to you?
- 36:47Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 36:48Speaker 9: Man, you know, it brings a smile to my face.
- 36:50Speaker 9: And like you said, there was a time when you know,
- 36:52Speaker 9: we I remember my time that we didn't win a
- 36:55Speaker 9: whole lot of games, you know, and so I just
- 36:59Speaker 9: remember saying them over the years. I remember, I remember
- 37:01Speaker 9: they had decimal clusters that year they had him, and
- 37:03Speaker 9: they was they started winning some games and and it
- 37:06Speaker 9: was cool because you know, you get around your teammates
- 37:08Speaker 9: and on Saturdays we have practice and everybody talking about
- 37:11Speaker 9: who Who's gonna be playing who, and you know, you
- 37:13Speaker 9: never really could just be proud to say, like, you know,
- 37:16Speaker 9: I mean, I'm proud because I went to Ole Miss.
- 37:18Speaker 9: But it wasn't he wasn't he didn't know if he
- 37:19Speaker 9: was gonna win those big games or the games you
- 37:22Speaker 9: should win. And so to see them now, man, being
- 37:25Speaker 9: considered like one of the top programs and in football
- 37:31Speaker 9: is truly amazing. And so shout out to Lane Kiffin
- 37:34Speaker 9: and his coaching staff and just the whole, the whole
- 37:37Speaker 9: ole Min's family. I know now when I when I
- 37:39Speaker 9: go back, I don't get to get back to a
- 37:41Speaker 9: whole lot of games. I try to get back to
- 37:42Speaker 9: at least one or two year if I can. But
- 37:46Speaker 9: now I'll tell you what the atmosphere is like like
- 37:49Speaker 9: no other I will say, I don't know if it's
- 37:51Speaker 9: the same kind of SEC feel like it used to
- 37:54Speaker 9: be back in the day because of the whole.
- 37:56Speaker 6: N I L and everybody just you know, in and out.
- 37:59Speaker 9: But I mean he's doing a tremendous job there and
- 38:02Speaker 9: just the sight and the seat.
- 38:04Speaker 5: Patrick, So I know you'll have this great in state rivalry,
- 38:08Speaker 5: so that like it's it's everything that's great about college football.
- 38:12Speaker 5: But L s U Old Miss, I mean, this is
- 38:15Speaker 5: a historical rival Now in the SEC world, it's it's
- 38:20Speaker 5: a little bit different because there's so many good teams
- 38:22Speaker 5: you play every year, so there's there's everybody's got beef
- 38:24Speaker 5: with everybody, right, but there's something little bit different better
- 38:27Speaker 5: LSU so is is the L s U game? Does
- 38:30Speaker 5: it come close to the emotional feel to the UH,
- 38:35Speaker 5: to the fans, to the players and the coaches as
- 38:38Speaker 5: like the Old Miss Mississippi State game.
- 38:41Speaker 6: Man that's a great question.
- 38:42Speaker 9: You know, I don't know.
- 38:43Speaker 6: If it's that's a heck of a question.
- 38:45Speaker 9: You know, I'm not from Mississippi nor LSU, but I
- 38:49Speaker 9: know a lot of people come from those states and
- 38:52Speaker 9: go to school and Old Miss and have a lot
- 38:55Speaker 9: of family, whether it's players or just students. And I
- 38:59Speaker 9: don't know, Man, it's something about LSU, the program itself,
- 39:02Speaker 9: and for so many years, you know, LSU bands just
- 39:05Speaker 9: you know, I guess l s U and you know,
- 39:07Speaker 9: I would say talent wise, a lot of people, you know,
- 39:10Speaker 9: the top stars and stuff, they usually would pick LSU
- 39:14Speaker 9: over Old Miss. And so to every time we play,
- 39:18Speaker 9: it's almost like, man, we just we like the little brothers.
- 39:21Speaker 9: But now, but now I really feel like, man, I'm excited,
- 39:25Speaker 9: you know, I'm excited to steal them play because I'm
- 39:27Speaker 9: like which one.
- 39:29Speaker 6: They always played. They always played, they.
- 39:31Speaker 9: Always played tough against each other. But now it's almost like,
- 39:34Speaker 9: you know, I took my mad off to Old Miss
- 39:36Speaker 9: because they they want some big games over the years
- 39:39Speaker 9: against LSU. And so yeah, like I said, I'm excited
- 39:43Speaker 9: to see how this weekend is gonna go.
- 39:45Speaker 6: I have heard that.
- 39:48Speaker 9: LSU may not be the.
- 39:50Speaker 6: L s U of of old.
- 39:52Speaker 9: I guess I would say, I don't know how old
- 39:53Speaker 9: we go back, but yeah, I'm excited to steal.
- 39:57Speaker 3: All right, So I'm gonna ask you this before we
- 39:59Speaker 3: let you go, and and Patrick can't think enough for
- 40:01Speaker 3: your time. Now, I know if I asked you who's
- 40:03Speaker 3: going to win the game, obviously you would pick old Mess.
- 40:06Speaker 3: I would hope you picked old Mess, And so I'm
- 40:08Speaker 3: not going to ask you that. I'm going to ask
- 40:10Speaker 3: you this question about the game. Is it going to
- 40:13Speaker 3: be like a couple of years ago in Oxford where
- 40:16Speaker 3: it was a shootout, it was the last team that
- 40:18Speaker 3: had the ball, it was like both teams scored in
- 40:20Speaker 3: the forties. Or is it going to be more of
- 40:23Speaker 3: an old school throwback SEC game. LSU's defense has been
- 40:27Speaker 3: really good this year and you can see it being
- 40:29Speaker 3: maybe like seventeen to fourteen. Which game do you think
- 40:31Speaker 3: we're going to see in Oxford?
- 40:34Speaker 9: That's a great question. I guess then it would come
- 40:36Speaker 9: down to defenses, because I feel like man Lane his
- 40:42Speaker 9: offense to be putting up points. Somehow they get points
- 40:45Speaker 9: on the board, and so yeah, I think it's gonna
- 40:49Speaker 9: come down to coach Golden his defensive scheme. I know
- 40:53Speaker 9: they have a heck of a linebacker and start team,
- 40:57Speaker 9: but you know that's just one guy, you know, and
- 40:59Speaker 9: so like they come out and they have a good
- 41:02Speaker 9: defensive game, and the way that offense, you know, has
- 41:05Speaker 9: been clicking with you know, I like both quarterback.
- 41:12Speaker 6: You know, I'm gonna go. I'm an era, man, it
- 41:14Speaker 6: is college football.
- 41:17Speaker 9: I'm like, let's go, let's go fourteen, let's go one
- 41:23Speaker 9: of those.
- 41:23Speaker 6: Let's go to low.
- 41:24Speaker 3: Scoring Okay, the defensive running back on the defensive games.
- 41:31Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't know why. I just feel
- 41:33Speaker 6: like this ship man.
- 41:34Speaker 9: The whole football world is a defensive is a defensive
- 41:36Speaker 9: game for some reason. So yeah, I'm gonna go with
- 41:39Speaker 9: the gonna be a low scoring game, old miss on
- 41:41Speaker 9: top of course.
- 41:42Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, there he is Patrick Willis Man. Patrick,
- 41:48Speaker 3: we can't thank you enough. I mean, you're out there
- 41:49Speaker 3: on the West coast, so you woke up early with
- 41:51Speaker 3: us this morning, so we appreciate it. Was a pleasure
- 41:53Speaker 3: sharing the field with you every time. It's a pleasure
- 41:56Speaker 3: sharing the airwaves as well, so we appreciate it. We'll
- 41:58Speaker 3: have to do this again soon, hey.
- 42:00Speaker 6: Man, Thank you guys, and thank you.
- 42:06Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely see you, brother. All right, there he is
- 42:10Speaker 3: Patrick Willer's former Old Miss linebacker, NFL Hall of Famer legend,
- 42:14Speaker 3: a true legend, and as you can tell they're in
- 42:17Speaker 3: the interview, just one of the the good guys of
- 42:19Speaker 3: the game as well. He had no business being as
- 42:22Speaker 3: good and as smart as he was a football field, like, yeah,
- 42:25Speaker 3: you're not supposed to have both of those.
- 42:27Speaker 5: You're too nice to be so scary on the field.
- 42:30Speaker 3: He would run over you and then help you out
- 42:31Speaker 3: me like good jobs, Like what did I do good
- 42:33Speaker 3: on that play?
- 42:34Speaker 5: Tell me the things I accomplished on that play? You
- 42:37Speaker 5: destroyed me.
- 42:37Speaker 3: Yeah, so we appreciate his time. And yeah they look
- 42:42Speaker 3: old Miss wasn't who they are now when he was there.
- 42:45Speaker 3: But I'll tell you what, they always played hard and
- 42:47Speaker 3: they always brought it every single time. And great competitor,
- 42:51Speaker 3: and so I'm glad we got a chance to catch
- 42:52Speaker 3: up with him here on the show. All Right, we'll

- 44:38Speaker 4: We do his truck.
- 44:39Speaker 5: You gotta. It's gonna be a real short segment, everybody,
- 44:44Speaker 5: because we just talked to one hell of an American,
- 44:48Speaker 5: hell of a human being and a hell of a
- 44:51Speaker 5: football player, mister Patrick Willis.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Uh, let's get to one assid bench at least. What
- 44:55Speaker 3: does QB one want to see from neuss Meyer this Saturday?
- 44:59Speaker 5: Decisive us, push the ball down the field, make good reads,
- 45:03Speaker 5: because they're going to give you a lot of opportunities. Hey,
- 45:05Speaker 5: if you keep your eyes open, they might even tell
- 45:07Speaker 5: you when they're running Cover one.
- 45:09Speaker 3: Our Cover three.
- 45:10Speaker 5: All you really have to do is open your eyeballs
- 45:13Speaker 5: and they will tell you, because I'm sure they're tongue
- 45:15Speaker 5: in hand signals in that LSU in the QB meeting
- 45:19Speaker 5: rooms this week. So just keep your eyes open. They'll
- 45:21Speaker 5: give you some tails. Yeah, just good dominate.
- 45:25Speaker 3: We need more role models like Patrick Willis. How do
- 45:27Speaker 3: we make that happen? See, there's not many like him though.
- 45:30Speaker 3: That's the thing. Like again, player thinks nobody should be smarter,
- 45:34Speaker 3: faster and stronger than you. But that's what Patrick Willis
- 45:36Speaker 3: was every single time. We appreciate him, and we appreciate you.
- 45:38Speaker 3: We love you.
- 45:39Speaker 5: We'll see tomorrow
- 45:40Speaker 2: Top the bench.
