- 0:42Speaker 4: And I'm Bukes.
- 0:44Speaker 3: And we are the avid indoors men. Oh, hi, everybody.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Oh, hello.
- 0:50Speaker 4: How are you, pal? It's been so long.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I am so good. How are you?
- 0:57Speaker 4: Aw, just hunky and dory, I think, really.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Both. Both hunky and dory.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:03Speaker 3: That's nice. What's new? You know, we went out to
- 1:07Speaker 3: San Fran, which we really don't get out there very often.
- 1:12Speaker 3: That's probably only like the fourth time I've been.
- 1:15Speaker 4: I'm jealous of so few places you go, but that one, no,
- 1:18Speaker 4: I'm just kidding. I really do love San Fran though.
- 1:21Speaker 4: It is lovely.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Cool city. I, I went in, I was supposed to
- 1:25Speaker 3: come in on the late flight and I was like,
- 1:27Speaker 3: there's a baseball game earlier in the day. So I
- 1:30Speaker 3: moved to the early flight, um, and went and saw
- 1:35Speaker 3: a game at Oracle park where the giants play. And
- 1:39Speaker 3: that was such a, it's a great ballpark.
- 1:42Speaker 4: I love it. It really is.
- 1:44Speaker 3: But, you know, when I was a kid, that was
- 1:48Speaker 3: when bonds went and hit 73 home runs.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Yeah. Like that park means something to me and I'm
- 1:53Speaker 4: not even like a big, you know what I mean?
- 1:55Speaker 4: Like I'm with you.
- 1:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:57Speaker 3: That was a top five park for me to get to.
- 2:00Speaker 3: And I honestly, I didn't realize that it was, it
- 2:03Speaker 3: was built like, the year before he hit that 73
- 2:06Speaker 3: home runs.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Oh, I didn't either. That's crazy.
- 2:09Speaker 3: It was built in like 99 or 2000.
- 2:11Speaker 4: When you said you were going there, I was like, man,
- 2:13Speaker 4: that place must be reasonably old then. But that makes
- 2:16Speaker 4: more sense, I guess.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Giants and the 49ers used to play at Candlestick and
- 2:21Speaker 3: Candlestick isn't a thing anymore.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Yeah. Right.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Right. And so, yeah. And now the 49ers, I didn't
- 2:27Speaker 3: even know, but they play down in Santa Clara, which
- 2:30Speaker 3: is basically San Jose.
- 2:32Speaker 4: I didn't know that either i'm learning all.
- 2:33Speaker 3: These things all this stuff out but um it was
- 2:37Speaker 3: a beautiful day um got to see some some home
- 2:40Speaker 3: runs i saw five home runs that day uh and
- 2:44Speaker 3: one did hit the it didn't like get straight into
- 2:48Speaker 3: the bay but it hit the sidewalk and then into
- 2:51Speaker 3: the bay.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Oh that's cool that counts that counts you get to
- 2:54Speaker 4: see the splash.
- 2:55Speaker 3: That's kind of and then uh there were a bunch
- 2:58Speaker 3: of kayakers out there which they all wait that.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Bit is was so good when bonds was just cranking
- 3:04Speaker 4: homers every two four seconds god that.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Was so fun yeah so that was fun and then
- 3:09Speaker 3: uh yeah we shot a music video out there uh
- 3:12Speaker 3: we went and did different locations in san francisco okay.
- 3:15Speaker 4: That's still shrouded in secrecy yeah.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Yeah, even though some people did put it on social
- 3:21Speaker 3: media and like with the track like playing.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Come on, guys. That sounds right, though.
- 3:29Speaker 3: There is one of the places that we went to
- 3:31Speaker 3: where there is just a full on naked man just
- 3:35Speaker 3: watching us do our takes. Part of the video or
- 3:39Speaker 3: not part of the video?
- 3:40Speaker 4: Wow. Nope.
- 3:41Speaker 3: He was behind the camera.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Was there a moment where you were like, did Bukes
- 3:45Speaker 4: come out here without... What is happening? You could tell
- 3:49Speaker 4: it wasn't me.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Definitely not. This man was very tan. I think he
- 3:53Speaker 3: does this quite a bit.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Okay. Um... At least you didn't say like, no, he
- 3:58Speaker 4: was good looking and fit.
- 4:00Speaker 3: No, I was not going to go there.
- 4:02Speaker 4: I'm just kidding.
- 4:03Speaker 3: But then we went and had lunch somewhere not too
- 4:05Speaker 3: far away from there and we saw a different naked man.
- 4:08Speaker 3: So I think that was just naked man corner.
- 4:10Speaker 4: I love that. Can I tell you a funny story
- 4:13Speaker 4: about your trip out there? Yes. A friend of mine
- 4:17Speaker 4: was out there on her honeymoon and she texted me
- 4:22Speaker 4: and said, I'm pretty sure I just saw a couple
- 4:25Speaker 4: of the home free guys. weird and she was like
- 4:29Speaker 4: are they in and i was like yeah they're all
- 4:31Speaker 4: there they're doing a music video i was like that's
- 4:33Speaker 4: kind of funny she's like yep 100 just uh and
- 4:36Speaker 4: it was chance and rup i think that she saw
- 4:38Speaker 4: and i was like funny she has seen you guys
- 4:41Speaker 4: a couple places just randomly throughout the years and we
- 4:43Speaker 4: text about it every time and i'm always like just
- 4:46Speaker 4: go say hello these are some of my favorite people
- 4:48Speaker 4: on earth so funny and she just won't do it
- 4:51Speaker 4: and i think it's so and i kind of get
- 4:52Speaker 4: it because it's like what do you say hey i'm
- 4:55Speaker 4: friends with bukes all right neat have a great day
- 4:57Speaker 4: but then i just so happened to text chance at
- 5:00Speaker 4: the same time and he was like what like and
- 5:03Speaker 4: he was like yeah it was just right there she
- 5:05Speaker 4: definitely saw me funny they were on like a food
- 5:10Speaker 4: tour it was actually funny she was like it.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Was when i was at the ball game it was
- 5:14Speaker 3: like right after.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Yeah yeah it was right after yeah yeah but they
- 5:17Speaker 4: were like she was like this is the worst food
- 5:20Speaker 4: tour I've ever been on. And Chance was like, yeah,
- 5:22Speaker 4: it didn't look like people were having a great time.
- 5:24Speaker 4: I saw that very food tour. So it was just
- 5:26Speaker 4: a small world moment.
- 5:27Speaker 3: I thought it was pretty funny.
- 5:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:29Speaker 3: I love that.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Pretty great. Pretty great. Pretty great.
- 5:32Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, man.
- 5:33Speaker 3: That's about it. Anything new with you?
- 5:36Speaker 4: I bought a new musical instrument that I'm never going
- 5:38Speaker 4: to get good at. So that's fun.
- 5:41Speaker 3: You just know going into it.
- 5:43Speaker 4: I mean, there's no reason to fool ourselves anymore, but
- 5:46Speaker 4: I've been having a nice time. What did you get?
- 5:48Speaker 4: I bought a bass ukulele, which I didn't really know
- 5:52Speaker 4: was even a thing. And then I saw it was
- 5:54Speaker 4: and I was like, well, I'm going to get it. So.
- 5:57Speaker 3: So is it big? No, it's like a guitar.
- 6:00Speaker 4: I can go grab it. You want to see it? Yeah,
- 6:01Speaker 4: I do.
- 6:02Speaker 3: I'll see it.
- 6:02Speaker 4: One sec.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Worth it. This is going to be worth it.
- 6:11Speaker 4: It's this big.
- 6:12Speaker 3: OK, it's it's definitely bigger than a uke.
- 6:16Speaker 4: This was definitely worth it.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Just say something back to me.
- 6:22Speaker 4: I can hear you now.
- 6:23Speaker 3: I can hear you now. It definitely looks bigger than
- 6:26Speaker 3: a regular uke.
- 6:28Speaker 4: God, I've dreamed of someone saying that online for years. Yeah,
- 6:32Speaker 4: it's got the big old.
- 6:35Speaker 4: Can you hear that at all? Probably not.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Of course, yeah.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Yeah, so I've been learning bass lines.
- 6:40Speaker 3: It's got the big bass strings.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Yeah, it sounds like a legit bass. It actually, when
- 6:45Speaker 4: plugged into the amp, kind of sounds like an upright, strangely.
- 6:48Speaker 3: That's fun, dude.
- 6:50Speaker 4: In a fun way. So yeah, I've been learning some
- 6:52Speaker 4: bass lines.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Did I tell you that I played the bass for
- 6:55Speaker 3: a little while in junior high? Oh yeah, I got like...
- 6:59Speaker 3: I got purple haze down. Nice. I got some, this
- 7:03Speaker 3: was the, the time of like kind of grunge rock.
- 7:06Speaker 5: No, no, no.
- 7:07Speaker 3: I was just taking lessons. Love it. Um, and, uh,
- 7:13Speaker 3: do you remember the band Bush?
- 7:14Speaker 4: Yes.
- 7:16Speaker 3: I learned a couple of their songs.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Black hole sun. Was that Bush?
- 7:18Speaker 3: That was sound garden.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Sound garden. Sorry.
- 7:21Speaker 3: I do remember the.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Bush had a lot.
- 7:23Speaker 3: They had like glycerine. They had a bunch, but the one,
- 7:25Speaker 3: there was a really cool baseline in, uh, I don't
- 7:29Speaker 3: want to come back down from this cloud. I don't know.
- 7:32Speaker 3: I don't remember what the name of the time is.
- 7:33Speaker 4: I don't recognize that tune.
- 7:34Speaker 3: I'll have to look it up.
- 7:35Speaker 3: .
- 7:38Speaker 4: I was just.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Like, oh, I'm learning this. I'm learning it.
- 7:41Speaker 4: I love that.
- 7:42Speaker 3: And like had the tab. You remember Tablature?
- 7:44Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. There was even a magazine.
- 7:45Speaker 3: That's what I've been kind of using.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Sort of.
- 7:48Speaker 3: I was super into it for like a year.
- 7:51Speaker 4: And then you gave up.
- 7:52Speaker 5: Wow.
- 7:52Speaker 4: I played a whole year.
- 7:54Speaker 3: A whole year. But dude, the guy that taught me
- 7:57Speaker 3: had the biggest hands I've ever seen.
- 7:59Speaker 4: What am I supposed to do with this?
- 8:00Speaker 3: I was like, dude, I, that's why I have this
- 8:03Speaker 3: little ukulele.
- 8:04Speaker 4: It helps. Yeah. Maybe.
- 8:07Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 8:07Speaker 4: It's fun to learn.
- 8:08Speaker 3: That's exciting, dude.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Yeah. I can play. Uh, don't stop believing. And he's
- 8:13Speaker 4: 25 to six to four.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Love it and stand by me so far okay and
- 8:20Speaker 3: some yacht rock and and portions of.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Other things i'm trying to i'm really trying to figure
- 8:25Speaker 4: out where my where my base uh genre is i'm
- 8:30Speaker 4: finding i'm trying to find my home my home you
- 8:32Speaker 4: gotta play it up here i happen to like it
- 8:34Speaker 4: up here yes and.
- 8:35Speaker 3: That does seem to help yes.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Yes yes i should play some rush what am i
- 8:39Speaker 4: doing what an idiot i am dude break the rush
- 8:43Speaker 4: oh no it was the drummer that only had one
- 8:45Speaker 4: arm no that's def leopard that's def leopard yeah uh
- 8:48Speaker 4: all of this was wrong so that's what i've been
- 8:51Speaker 4: doing is uh it's exciting just uh not brushing up
- 8:55Speaker 4: on my band uh names or rosters and learning some bass.
- 9:02Speaker 3: But we didn't bring up the weather isn't that nice
- 9:05Speaker 3: i really did.
- 9:05Speaker 4: A good job i almost i know i almost did
- 9:08Speaker 4: i didn't though.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Have you been watching any fun movies lately?
- 9:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:12Speaker 4: I saw a movie in the theater. Uh, I assume
- 9:16Speaker 4: it's already out of theaters. It was, it felt kind
- 9:18Speaker 4: of indie movie ish, but this was a film called
- 9:21Speaker 4: finding Emily. And I am not shocked if you've never
- 9:25Speaker 4: heard of it. Uh, it was an English film. It's
- 9:28Speaker 4: a rom-com and I watched it because it's got Angori
- 9:32Speaker 4: rice in it. And I think she's just lovely. She is, uh,
- 9:38Speaker 4: so this is a story uh angory is emily uh
- 9:42Speaker 4: a young man some dude named spiked spike fern who
- 9:46Speaker 4: i never noticed they're all english people all these actors
- 9:50Speaker 4: um he what is it he like gets a phone
- 9:54Speaker 4: call what is it uh oh he like meets a
- 9:57Speaker 4: gal that he really likes at a bar gets her
- 10:00Speaker 4: phone number. But like one of the numbers is smudged
- 10:03Speaker 4: or something. You know, she goes to this college, uh,
- 10:07Speaker 4: and her name is emily and that's all he knows
- 10:09Speaker 4: um wow and then he's like no i gotta find
- 10:13Speaker 4: this emily and uh he finds a different emily uh
- 10:18Speaker 4: who is angory rice and then she helps him find
- 10:22Speaker 4: his other emily and it's antics ensue from there rob
- 10:25Speaker 4: and i really liked it i thought it.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Was very that's incredible oh you did like.
- 10:30Speaker 4: It yeah i thought it was i mean it was
- 10:31Speaker 4: a rom-com what there's nothing not to love for me really, honestly.
- 10:35Speaker 5: All right.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Uh, just a silly, a great little, like, does this
- 10:40Speaker 4: make sense?
- 10:41Speaker 3: No, not really, but.
- 10:42Speaker 4: We have, we have a nice time and there's some
- 10:44Speaker 4: sweet moments and you know, they.
- 10:46Speaker 5: Might fall in love.
- 10:47Speaker 4: You'll have to watch and find out. But, uh, I
- 10:50Speaker 4: really liked it. And I think she's just wonderful. I
- 10:53Speaker 4: think she's a great actor. I like her a lot. Nice.
- 10:56Speaker 4: I thought it was fun. Uh, but I think you
- 10:58Speaker 4: still have to rent. It doesn't say it's streaming or anything. So, Okay.
- 11:03Speaker 4: Go to the theater. Finding Emily, it's called. Okay.
- 11:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:07Speaker 4: How about you? What have you been watching?
- 11:10Speaker 3: I was just on a flight and I watched a
- 11:12Speaker 3: brutal film.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Called Is God Is.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Now, brutal because it wasn't good or brutal just it
- 11:20Speaker 4: was violent?
- 11:21Speaker 3: Very violent.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Got it.
- 11:23Speaker 3: No, it's, it's very well done. I haven't seen this
- 11:26Speaker 3: one yet.
- 11:26Speaker 4: This was an intriguing one. The makeup was scary in
- 11:29Speaker 4: and of itself. It is. Yeah.
- 11:31Speaker 3: So it's about two twins who were badly burned as
- 11:35Speaker 3: children and have visible scars. Very badly burned.
- 11:39Speaker 5: Sorry.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Yes. Um, and they're trying to find their dad who
- 11:44Speaker 3: left them when they were children. And it is a
- 11:47Speaker 3: crazy story. It's a ton of violence. Um, And I
- 11:50Speaker 3: always feel weird watching those kinds of films on planes.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a strange one.
- 11:54Speaker 3: But it was all adults around me.
- 11:57Speaker 4: No, either.
- 11:59Speaker 3: But yeah, a beautifully made film. Really cool cinematography. The
- 12:04Speaker 3: acting performances are great. I wasn't familiar with the two leads,
- 12:08Speaker 3: Kara Young and Mallory Johnson, but they were great.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Same.
- 12:12Speaker 3: We get very small roles from Vivica Fox, Janelle Monae
- 12:17Speaker 3: and Sterling K. Brown, and they all crush them. It's
- 12:20Speaker 3: green time. It's a tough watch, but really well done.
- 12:25Speaker 3: And it is now available to stream with the Prime subscription.
- 12:29Speaker 3: But I watched it on a Delta flight.
- 12:31Speaker 4: Cool. Nice. Yeah, I think I'm still going to check
- 12:35Speaker 4: that one out. I was in the trailer was intriguing
- 12:37Speaker 4: for sure.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, it's definitely worth seeing. I know you're
- 12:40Speaker 3: okay with violence.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:44Speaker 3: And so you'll be fine with it. But there's some
- 12:47Speaker 3: where there's like.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Oh, we're really going for it, huh?
- 12:51Speaker 5: That is.
- 12:52Speaker 3: And yeah, just really, there's a couple just horrific scenes. Wow, okay.
- 12:59Speaker 3: But yeah, really well done.
- 13:01Speaker 4: Nice. I'm going to have to check that out. That's cool.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Check it out.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Was that just from this year? That was, right?
- 13:07Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. crazy have you been streaming anything.
- 13:10Speaker 4: I have a movie decidedly not from this year uh
- 13:13Speaker 4: this is from 1988 available on disney plus i re-watched
- 13:19Speaker 4: who framed roger.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Rabbit wow because i gotta re-watch it i know.
- 13:24Speaker 4: That this is this is the exact conversation i had
- 13:27Speaker 4: i was like it comes up and i love it
- 13:29Speaker 4: so much and it's been a couple years for sure
- 13:32Speaker 4: i didn't I was trying to like sort of remember
- 13:35Speaker 4: the last time I did watch it. And it's been
- 13:37Speaker 4: a while, I think.
- 13:40Speaker 3: So long.
- 13:41Speaker 4: I loved it so much, Rob. It continues to be
- 13:43Speaker 4: one of my all time favorites. I know that nostalgia
- 13:47Speaker 4: probably plays some small part in that at the very least.
- 13:50Speaker 4: But I just think it's really fun. And I think
- 13:53Speaker 4: we should do an episode on it. I love it
- 13:55Speaker 4: so much. yeah it's so good uh i love parts
- 14:00Speaker 4: that i forgot about is that it's like a it's
- 14:04Speaker 4: a noir which i think is really you know like
- 14:06Speaker 4: sort of a cheekily made noir but still a noir
- 14:09Speaker 4: which i like i also think i've seen so many
- 14:11Speaker 4: fun spoofs of noirs and that's why i don't care
- 14:14Speaker 4: for noirs because they're like very boring to me you
- 14:19Speaker 4: know what i mean like i'm like where's the zany
- 14:21Speaker 4: stuff that goes with it uh And like all the
- 14:25Speaker 4: takes that have been said before, it's incredible that they
- 14:28Speaker 4: get all this IP into one movie that wouldn't happen now.
- 14:32Speaker 4: You know, it wouldn't be allowed to do that. It's
- 14:35Speaker 4: a fun, interesting story. I just really like it. I
- 14:38Speaker 4: think it's really great.
- 14:40Speaker 3: Nice.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Yeah, it's really wonderful. And the lady, what was that?
- 14:44Speaker 4: I forget what she was in that I was like, oh,
- 14:46Speaker 4: my God. Joanna Cassidy is her name. She's Bob Haskins,
- 14:51Speaker 4: like lady friend.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Haskins, Haskins.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Haskins. Yes. Sorry. Uh, what else was she in that?
- 14:57Speaker 4: I was like, Oh, of course. That's what I know
- 14:59Speaker 4: her from some. Oh, it was, uh, don't tell mom,
- 15:03Speaker 4: the babysitter's dad. She's, uh, Rose who, uh, she's like,
- 15:09Speaker 4: I'm right on top of that Rose.
- 15:10Speaker 3: That's the boss lady.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Uh, amazing. Thought that was funny. I never connected that.
- 15:14Speaker 4: That was the same lady from this movie and that movie.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Another movie we should do that you bring up a lot.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Love it. I'm into it. I think it's great. I
- 15:23Speaker 4: think it's great. And I think tens of people would
- 15:26Speaker 4: agree with me.
- 15:27Speaker 5: Right.
- 15:27Speaker 4: For sure. At the very least. But yeah, so that's
- 15:32Speaker 4: what I watched. It's on Disney +. If you've never
- 15:33Speaker 4: seen it, go watch it immediately. Do it. And you'll
- 15:37Speaker 4: be prepped for our episode sometime. It was 1988, so
- 15:41Speaker 4: I guess in two years we could do it. Two years.
- 15:43Speaker 3: But do you know what came out in 1991?
- 15:45Speaker 4: Tell me.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Don't tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead. That's not on our list.
- 15:50Speaker 4: Well, that is dumb, and I'm mad about it.
- 15:52Speaker 3: So let's do it.
- 15:53Speaker 5: All right.
- 15:54Speaker 4: I'm in. Yeah. I mean, I basically have always just
- 15:57Speaker 4: rewatched that, so.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:59Speaker 4: Actually, it's been several years now, which is a shame.
- 16:02Speaker 4: I like that movie. All right, let's do it. I
- 16:04Speaker 4: love it. What have you been streaming, my friend?
- 16:07Speaker 3: I'm watching the new lantern show with Kyle Chandler and
- 16:10Speaker 3: Aaron Pierre on HBO max.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Plus on my list. Haven't seen it. Tell me everything.
- 16:15Speaker 4: HBO max.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Um, yeah, dude, I'm up to, it's the fifth episode
- 16:20Speaker 3: is currently out while we're recording this. Um, it looks
- 16:24Speaker 3: like there will be eight episodes and I checked because
- 16:26Speaker 3: the fifth episode was so nuts. I was like, are
- 16:29Speaker 3: they ending?
- 16:30Speaker 4: This is incredible.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that's kind of fun. Um, But it's great. Chandler
- 16:36Speaker 3: plays Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern. He's older and grizzled.
- 16:40Speaker 3: He's got a fun sense of humor. And I love
- 16:43Speaker 3: Kyle Chandler. But the the Guardians have given him a
- 16:48Speaker 3: trainee in Aaron Pierre, and he's been training his whole
- 16:52Speaker 3: life to become the Green Lantern. I really enjoy their
- 16:56Speaker 3: chemistry together. Kelly McDonald is a sheriff in a small town.
- 17:00Speaker 3: She's great. Laura Linney's popped up a couple times in
- 17:04Speaker 3: the first five episodes. So that's always good. I'm digging it, man.
- 17:09Speaker 3: And looking forward to seeing Nathan Fillion coming on. I
- 17:13Speaker 3: would assume as Guy Gardner at some point. He was
- 17:16Speaker 3: such a fun part of the new Superman movie. So, yeah,
- 17:21Speaker 3: it's really well done. It's fun.
- 17:23Speaker 4: Did you say that Garrett Dillahunt guy? Did you say him?
- 17:26Speaker 3: I didn't know.
- 17:28Speaker 4: Did you ever watch that raising hope show.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Didn't watch raising hope i loved that show i've definitely.
- 17:33Speaker 4: Seen him in things and things yeah yeah yeah nice
- 17:36Speaker 4: that's fun very cool i'm jealous i want to watch that.
- 17:40Speaker 3: You should it's on hbo max check it out.

- 18:44Speaker 3: are doing our top five favorite fish out of water movies.
- 18:49Speaker 3: There's a lot.
- 18:52Speaker 4: Yeah. And I wrote one down. while we were doing
- 18:54Speaker 4: this open because i had forgot about it so crazy

- 19:16Speaker 4: a little crocodile dundee have you ever heard of it
- 19:20Speaker 4: mate Yes, mate. Me too. That was fun, right? Mate. Actually,
- 19:26Speaker 4: that works for the title of the movie, but I
- 19:28Speaker 4: just made a mistake. I was supposed to say the
- 19:30Speaker 4: guy who's joining us is our wonderful friend, Nate. But no,
- 19:35Speaker 4: we just had to play it off.
- 19:37Speaker 3: He's our mate.
- 19:38Speaker 4: Yeah, he's our mate, Nate. You guys know him. You
- 19:40Speaker 4: love him. Welcome him back. Nate Roadstone.
- 19:44Speaker 3: What's up, Nate? Oh, hello. Oh, hello.
- 19:49Speaker 4: How are you? I'm good.
- 19:50Speaker 5: How are you guys?
- 19:51Speaker 4: Oh my god, so good.
- 19:53Speaker 3: G'day. G'day, Mike.
- 19:54Speaker 4: I forgot to have us clap. Can we clap together? Yes.
- 19:57Speaker 4: I know this is going to be live now, but
- 19:58Speaker 4: this is what happens. Clapping in 3, 2, 1.
- 20:00Speaker 3: I don't think we've ever done that in 357 episodes.
- 20:06Speaker 4: I totally forgot to have us clap. I love it.
- 20:09Speaker 5: That's all right.
- 20:10Speaker 4: It's going to help me later. Now that we've all
- 20:13Speaker 4: had the clap, Nate, how are you?
- 20:15Speaker 5: I am fantastic. We were previously discussing before we started recording.
- 20:21Speaker 5: It's been a week.
- 20:23Speaker 4: Yeah, that's crazy, dude. There's some crazy stuff, but you're back.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Your power lines are where they.
- 20:28Speaker 5: Need to be. Yeah, we'll do the brief version. But yes,
- 20:34Speaker 5: Branch at 4 a.m. fell on our power line.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Fun.
- 20:38Speaker 4: And.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Well, Nate was in his briefs.
- 20:41Speaker 5: Well, how am I in his briefs?
- 20:44Speaker 4: Got it. The brief reaching.
- 20:45Speaker 5: Nailed it. And started the tree on fire, and then
- 20:49Speaker 5: the branch fell, and then started our fence on fire,
- 20:51Speaker 5: and then our Greek neighbor at, like, 430, once the
- 20:56Speaker 5: fire got big enough, realized there was a fire, was
- 20:58Speaker 5: flashing a flashlight into our house.
- 21:01Speaker 4: Yeah. Seeing a great neighbor, but also very scary.
- 21:05Speaker 5: Yeah, banging on our front door.
- 21:06Speaker 3: When everyone's asleep.
- 21:08Speaker 5: And I opened the window and he was just yelling
- 21:11Speaker 5: about every fifth word was fire. And the rest I'm
- 21:14Speaker 5: assuming is Greek. I don't know how to speak Greek,
- 21:17Speaker 5: but so we ran outside.
- 21:19Speaker 4: It's all in Greek to me. You were going to
- 21:21Speaker 4: say it, weren't you?
- 21:22Speaker 3: I'm sorry, Rob.
- 21:22Speaker 4: I'm sorry I did it.
- 21:23Speaker 5: But yeah, so he's a great neighbor. I saw him
- 21:25Speaker 5: in Lowe's today and I thanked him again for alerting
- 21:29Speaker 5: us that our property was on fire. Yeah, dude.
- 21:31Speaker 3: That could have been real bad.
- 21:33Speaker 5: And I offered to take the tree branches at Xcel Energy.
- 21:37Speaker 5: cut down and he goes, he's so funny.
- 21:40Speaker 3: I love her.
- 21:41Speaker 5: My, well, not, not quite that, but he goes, Nathan,
- 21:47Speaker 5: all I do is wander around my yard all day.
- 21:49Speaker 3: I'll take them.
- 21:52Speaker 4: That's amazing.
- 21:53Speaker 5: I can't do a good Greek accent. So my apologies,
- 21:56Speaker 5: but he is like, he's the sweetest dude. He just, yeah,
- 22:01Speaker 5: he was like, no, no, no, I am good.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Also, uh, Little trigger warning for folks. If bad accents
- 22:08Speaker 4: are going to send you over the edge, this.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Is not the episode for you. I'm guessing.
- 22:14Speaker 5: I'm guessing, mate.
- 22:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:17Speaker 5: Listen, I've been trying not to pre-think too much of this.
- 22:22Speaker 4: I love it.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Gnar.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Gnar.
- 22:25Speaker 3: Gnar.
- 22:26Speaker 4: Gnar. That's good. That's good. I like.
- 22:31Speaker 5: That.
- 22:32Speaker 4: Nice.
- 22:32Speaker 5: Sorry, that was my intro story.
- 22:34Speaker 4: Love it.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Love your intro story. I mean, I don't love that.
- 22:37Speaker 3: That story is horrible. And I'm sorry that you're dealing
- 22:39Speaker 3: with that.
- 22:40Speaker 4: I liked it. I liked that it happened. I think
- 22:42Speaker 4: it's like a B plus story. I'm just kidding. I
- 22:46Speaker 4: like the opposite of what you said. You said that.
- 22:50Speaker 4: And then I thought it would be fun.
- 22:51Speaker 3: To flip it.
- 22:52Speaker 4: You know what?
- 22:53Speaker 5: It turned out OK, though, because only about like eighty
- 22:55Speaker 5: dollars worth of my fence panel got burnt up. And
- 22:57Speaker 5: most of my neighbor's stuff in the corner is what
- 23:00Speaker 5: was actually set on fire. So boom. I mean, it's
- 23:03Speaker 5: not even an insurance claim, so I'm good.
- 23:06Speaker 3: You're good.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Honestly, yeah, it could have been worse. That's for sure.
- 23:09Speaker 5: Could have been way worse. We've actually been getting burgled.
- 23:14Speaker 4: We don't want to get burgled. That's true. No burgling.
- 23:17Speaker 4: Thank you. Thank you so much. Let's talk about a
- 23:20Speaker 4: film that burgled the very cockles of my heart. Rob,
- 23:23Speaker 4: do you want to get us started with just a
- 23:25Speaker 4: rough synopsis?
- 23:26Speaker 3: I don't know. Such a great segue. I don't know
- 23:29Speaker 3: what to tell you. Burgled the cockles of my heart.
- 23:34Speaker 3: All right. A New York reporter heads to Australia to
- 23:38Speaker 3: interview the living legend Mike Dundee when she finally locates him.
- 23:42Speaker 3: She is so taken with him that she brings him
- 23:45Speaker 3: back with her to New York. In New York, Mike Dundee.
- 23:50Speaker 3: I keep saying Mike Dundee. Crocodile Dundee is amazed by
- 23:55Speaker 3: the wonders of the city and the interesting people there.
- 24:01Speaker 4: I didn't remember his name was Michael at all. Mike, yeah.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Do they keep calling him Mick? I thought it was Mick.
- 24:07Speaker 4: Well, they do call him Mick, but his... I don't
- 24:10Speaker 4: get it.
- 24:10Speaker 3: Was Mike something Crocodile Dundee?
- 24:13Speaker 4: I haven't written.
- 24:14Speaker 5: I think it's because.
- 24:16Speaker 4: Michael J.
- 24:16Speaker 5: Their accent is... Like, they say Mike Mick, so I
- 24:22Speaker 5: think it's Mick is what we hear, but we look
- 24:26Speaker 5: at it spelled and it's Michael.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Oh. Do you think if they have a candy, it's
- 24:30Speaker 4: like mechanics?
- 24:33Speaker 5: Mechanics, yeah. All right.
- 24:34Speaker 4: I mean, it's the example we all were thinking of.
- 24:37Speaker 3: We all were thinking about it.
- 24:38Speaker 4: It burgled the cockles of my heart. It's only going
- 24:41Speaker 4: to go downhill from there. Let's go to Rotten Tomatoes
- 24:43Speaker 4: and hear what they have to say. In truly one
- 24:45Speaker 4: of the strangest reviews I've ever seen, 89% of critics
- 24:50Speaker 4: like this movie.
- 24:52Speaker 3: It's unbelievable, dude.
- 24:53Speaker 4: Now, I dug deeper, meaning I just looked at it.
- 24:57Speaker 4: There's only 38 reviews, so there is that. 37 of
- 25:00Speaker 4: them are bukes. apparently 89 when i saw 89 i
- 25:07Speaker 4: was like surely i must be losing my mind that's
- 25:11Speaker 4: incredible uh but i love it audience members they have
- 25:15Speaker 4: it at 250 000 reviews so i don't know where
- 25:18Speaker 4: like critics boycotted this movie or something i don't understand
- 25:21Speaker 4: what's happening but that's at 60 so pretty pretty decent
- 25:25Speaker 4: for a silly comedy fun time but.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Yeah if you would ask me uh if you thought
- 25:31Speaker 3: that the The critics would have a higher rating than
- 25:35Speaker 3: the audience.
- 25:35Speaker 4: I would have lost that bet. Zero chance.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Yeah. But good times.
- 25:43Speaker 4: So yeah, 89%. That was truly shocking to me.
- 25:45Speaker 3: That is.
- 25:46Speaker 4: But I think we should go into what we think
- 25:48Speaker 4: of this movie. It's time for our hot take.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Hot take.
- 25:51Speaker 4: Ooh, ouch. Ah, spicy.
- 25:53Speaker 6: It burns.
- 25:54Speaker 4: Mmm, that's a hot take. Mmm, that's a hot take. Ow,
- 25:58Speaker 4: I burned myself. It's so hot in Australia. Yeah, it's
- 26:04Speaker 4: an arid place in various places. Crikey. Also, Australia, roughly
- 26:10Speaker 4: the same landmass as the United States, the continental United States.
- 26:14Speaker 4: It's big.
- 26:15Speaker 5: The population density is in like three coastal areas and
- 26:19Speaker 5: the rest is uninhabited.
- 26:21Speaker 4: I looked this up. It's 23 million people live in
- 26:25Speaker 4: Australia and 300 and what? 52 million or something in,
- 26:30Speaker 4: in the United States.
- 26:31Speaker 5: Yeah. And we're not even that populate. Like we don't
- 26:35Speaker 5: have a huge density.
- 26:36Speaker 3: We have sparse areas like that's nuts.
- 26:39Speaker 5: That is a lot of nothing.
- 26:40Speaker 4: It's crazy. Welcome to Population Density Talk. Let's go into
- 26:44Speaker 4: our hot take here. I'll go first. From the time
- 26:48Speaker 4: I was a child, a little Joey, as it were,
- 26:52Speaker 4: I loved this movie so much. It is the perfect, silly, campy,
- 27:01Speaker 4: fun time film in my mind. A really fun accent,
- 27:05Speaker 4: which I've always loved accents. You'd think I would get
- 27:08Speaker 4: better at them with age. I don't. um i can't
- 27:12Speaker 4: do it i just really there's fun action there's like
- 27:16Speaker 4: some joke stuff that's happening uh i just really i've
- 27:20Speaker 4: always loved this movie um hadn't seen it in a
- 27:23Speaker 4: long time so i was i was like what is
- 27:27Speaker 4: this gonna be like pleasantly surprised it was very similar
- 27:30Speaker 4: to what i remember like it's silly it doesn't make
- 27:33Speaker 4: a lot of sense not always but still a pretty
- 27:35Speaker 4: good time it ages pretty well there was nothing super
- 27:38Speaker 4: crazy and yucky in it uh yeah i just i
- 27:43Speaker 4: think it's super super fun i love it a lot
- 27:46Speaker 4: all of the all of the stuff i will say
- 27:49Speaker 4: i was having a because i saw crocodile dundee 2
- 27:51Speaker 4: a lot as well back in the day and i
- 27:54Speaker 4: was like is this like a he's they're only in
- 27:58Speaker 4: australia in this one and then because in two they
- 28:02Speaker 4: go back to australia so i was very confused about when.
- 28:05Speaker 3: I don't think i saw two what happened yeah.
- 28:07Speaker 4: Two they get like there's mobsters chasing them and they
- 28:11Speaker 4: go back to Australia to like run from them. So
- 28:14Speaker 4: it's more of like an action film almost. It's interesting.
- 28:19Speaker 5: Not bad.
- 28:20Speaker 4: I liked it, but it might be bad. I did
- 28:22Speaker 4: like it.
- 28:22Speaker 3: It might be bad.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Those two things are not necessarily causation territory. My first
- 28:29Speaker 4: hot take, I think this is perhaps the tightest and
- 28:33Speaker 4: most succinct setup in like the first scene. backstory for
- 28:39Speaker 4: a movie of all time there's there's less than two
- 28:41Speaker 4: minutes in that first part we know that she's a
- 28:44Speaker 4: writer for a newspaper we know that she has a
- 28:47Speaker 4: relationship with her editor we know that she traipses around
- 28:51Speaker 4: you know the world we know she's curious about stories
- 28:54Speaker 4: in general we know this Michael J. Crocodile Dundee is
- 28:58Speaker 4: like this legendary guy and who like went and has
- 29:01Speaker 4: this big like legend around him and all these things
- 29:04Speaker 4: and we know that she's gonna be a fish out
- 29:07Speaker 4: of water right away because she's like i'm a new
- 29:09Speaker 4: yorker what could happen you know that's exactly what she
- 29:11Speaker 4: sounds like i'm walking here i'm walking yeah so we
- 29:15Speaker 4: know like all these culture shock things are gonna happen
- 29:17Speaker 4: and it all happens in like a minute and 47
- 29:20Speaker 4: seconds it's pretty crazy i just felt like they were
- 29:23Speaker 4: like this is the story you're in or you're out
- 29:26Speaker 4: You know, if you get to catch the train, go
- 29:28Speaker 4: do what you gotta do. Yeah, really fun. My secondary
- 29:32Speaker 4: hot take, a thing that I never, ever thought about
- 29:36Speaker 4: as a kid because I always thought it was super cool.
- 29:38Speaker 4: The mind meld thing with the water buffalo that he
- 29:40Speaker 4: does that's really neat and fun that water buffalo lays
- 29:44Speaker 4: down in the road that they were trying to get
- 29:46Speaker 4: him out of i don't know if that was a
- 29:48Speaker 4: successful mission like he didn't do anything they're still stuck.
- 29:53Speaker 3: No he's still the goddamn.
- 29:55Speaker 4: Way I was laughing so hard when I was rewatching this.
- 30:01Speaker 4: I was like, he just laid down. You couldn't move him?
- 30:06Speaker 4: There's 9,000 miles of land in Australia. Go around the buffalo, sir.
- 30:12Speaker 4: But yeah, I thought that was incredible. He does this
- 30:14Speaker 4: whole thing and he's just laying down. All right, cool.
- 30:18Speaker 3: Brilliant.
- 30:18Speaker 4: We still can't move, Mick.
- 30:20Speaker 3: I don't know what to tell you. Oopsies.
- 30:23Speaker 4: Wait, there's one more thing I have to say.
- 30:25Speaker 3: Three hot takes.
- 30:28Speaker 4: I don't even know if this is a hot take.
- 30:30Speaker 4: When I saw this, I don't think I understood what
- 30:34Speaker 4: was happening, what this meant about me. But man, Linda Kozlowski,
- 30:39Speaker 4: did I think she was just pretty.
- 30:42Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 30:44Speaker 4: And I continue to think that. What a babe. But
- 30:47Speaker 4: I remember thinking she made me giggle when I was
- 30:50Speaker 4: a little boy. Dude.
- 30:52Speaker 3: This movie holds a soft space in my heart. It
- 30:55Speaker 3: was the first time I ever saw a woman in
- 30:57Speaker 3: a thong bathing suit.
- 30:58Speaker 5: I was like, what are.
- 31:02Speaker 3: These feelings?
- 31:05Speaker 4: What are these feelings?
- 31:07Speaker 6: And I was just saying, oh, it made me feel
- 31:10Speaker 6: kind of funny. Like when we used to climb the
- 31:13Speaker 6: ropes in gym class. Um, so yes, I'm with you
- 31:17Speaker 6: for sure. Uh, we definitely had this movie on VHS.
- 31:21Speaker 3: So I saw it quite a few times when I
- 31:23Speaker 3: was a kid and it wasn't, we didn't even like
- 31:25Speaker 3: tape it. Like we had the real paid for it.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:28Speaker 4: We paid for it.
- 31:30Speaker 3: Um, this was directed by Peter Feynman who looked like
- 31:33Speaker 3: he had a friendship with Paul Hogan directed him. He
- 31:36Speaker 3: had a TV show, I guess. Um, and a TV
- 31:40Speaker 3: movie called Paul Hogan's England. Um, He also directed Dutch
- 31:46Speaker 3: with Ed O'Neill and Ethan Embry back in the day.
- 31:48Speaker 3: Did you ever see Dutch?
- 31:50Speaker 4: I never saw Dutch, but didn't that come up again
- 31:52Speaker 4: recently sometime?
- 31:53Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a John Hughes script.
- 31:56Speaker 4: That's right.
- 31:56Speaker 3: And he directed it.
- 31:58Speaker 4: That's cool.
- 31:58Speaker 5: I did see Little Giants with Ed O'Neill.
- 32:01Speaker 4: There you go.
- 32:03Speaker 5: Not really. I just wanted to check.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Written by John Cornell, Ken Shady, and Paul Hogan. And apparently,
- 32:11Speaker 3: Paul Hogan... wrote most of the things he was in. Um,
- 32:16Speaker 3: got almost an angel movie and lightning Jack. He was
- 32:18Speaker 3: writing all those. So pretty neat.
- 32:21Speaker 5: That's a fun one.
- 32:21Speaker 4: That's cool.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Um, but yeah, your classic fish out of water story. Uh,
- 32:26Speaker 3: Paul Hogan was very charming and funny. Um, I will
- 32:30Speaker 3: say the thing that didn't age well was all the,
- 32:33Speaker 3: the cross dressing slash like trans stuff and just grabbing people.
- 32:37Speaker 3: Oh yeah. That was kind of cringy. Is that not allowed? Uh,
- 32:42Speaker 3: it's not, I don't think it's great.
- 32:45Speaker 4: I don't think they love it, but I don't like it.
- 32:48Speaker 5: I did. I did wreck. I, when that scene popped up,
- 32:51Speaker 5: I was like, Oh yeah, I don't, I don't even
- 32:53Speaker 5: know if that was politically acceptable back then.
- 32:56Speaker 3: No, I'm sure it was.
- 32:57Speaker 4: No.
- 32:58Speaker 5: Yeah. That's like, you don't just do that.
- 33:01Speaker 3: No, it's, it's not a great look, but, um, I
- 33:04Speaker 3: enjoy getting to see a young Reginald Val Johnson, uh,
- 33:08Speaker 3: Carl Winslow from fans.
- 33:10Speaker 4: Remember that?
- 33:11Speaker 5: Amen.
- 33:12Speaker 3: Loved that. But yeah, just very 80s film. We got
- 33:16Speaker 3: the cocaine usage. We got NYC being super sketchy. The
- 33:20Speaker 3: crazy hair, the clothes. It was fun. It was just
- 33:24Speaker 3: like a snapshot of the 80s, which I enjoyed.
- 33:27Speaker 4: Love that.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Hot takes. I got a couple.
- 33:29Speaker 4: Oh, I love it. Soon as the worst.
- 33:33Speaker 3: She goes to Australia for a story. makes out with
- 33:37Speaker 3: her main character, makes the company pay for her crush
- 33:40Speaker 3: to come back to New York and stay at one
- 33:42Speaker 3: of the most expensive hotels in the country, flaunts her
- 33:46Speaker 3: boyfriend in front of this guy that's clearly into her,
- 33:50Speaker 3: then kisses him again in New York, and then accepts
- 33:54Speaker 3: an engagement proposal in front of him.
- 33:56Speaker 4: Yeah, that was a lot.
- 33:58Speaker 3: She is the worst.
- 34:00Speaker 4: I wouldn't be surprised if she's a psychiatrist and also
- 34:02Speaker 4: a sleeping woman. I mean, honestly, it's to that level.
- 34:07Speaker 5: I mean, she kind of reminds me of my high
- 34:09Speaker 5: school love of my life at church.
- 34:13Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 34:14Speaker 5: Really?
- 34:15Speaker 3: Wow.
- 34:15Speaker 4: Again.
- 34:16Speaker 5: You're like, I love you.
- 34:17Speaker 3: Let's get into it.
- 34:18Speaker 4: I love you. I don't.
- 34:20Speaker 5: I have a boyfriend. I can't do this.
- 34:22Speaker 3: I can't do this. Very will they, won't they vibe.
- 34:25Speaker 5: But I can tell you things I can't tell him.
- 34:28Speaker 4: It's the engagement one that felt weird to me. Cause
- 34:30Speaker 4: she didn't even seem like she didn't look. I kept
- 34:34Speaker 4: waiting for a hint of like, Oh, I have to
- 34:36Speaker 4: say yes. Cause I'm in front of all these people.
- 34:38Speaker 4: But she just said, yeah, she was like doughy.
- 34:42Speaker 3: I was like, well, and then they like invites him
- 34:45Speaker 3: to go to dinner with them. And they're like all
- 34:48Speaker 3: over each other. Just like, we haven't seen each other
- 34:50Speaker 3: in so long. It's like, dude, you were just making
- 34:52Speaker 3: out with me the other day. Like, what are we doing?
- 34:54Speaker 4: Like this? Maybe, have this night by yourselves first.
- 34:57Speaker 5: I mean yeah listen when i go out to dinner
- 35:00Speaker 5: with rob and kelsey they make out immediately i've.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Been yeah but we didn't make out earlier like it's
- 35:08Speaker 3: a different thing oh.
- 35:09Speaker 4: We're not telling people about that part hey oh that
- 35:14Speaker 4: was on the don't.
- 35:15Speaker 5: Don't talk about yeah don't.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Talk about that so that's one of my hot takes
- 35:19Speaker 3: my other hot take the newspaper industry was booming. They
- 35:25Speaker 3: just had money.
- 35:26Speaker 4: They were staying at the plaza.
- 35:30Speaker 3: Did you see the mansion that they go into? The
- 35:33Speaker 3: guy who owns the newspaper? Oh my God.
- 35:35Speaker 4: The owner of the newspaper. They're still doing good, but yeah,
- 35:40Speaker 4: that's a super good point.
- 35:42Speaker 5: And to be fair, if you actually look, they're pulling
- 35:45Speaker 5: up in, I mean, back then a limo was cool,
- 35:48Speaker 5: but by today's standards, that house is like, in a
- 35:52Speaker 5: nice neighborhood it's huge.
- 35:54Speaker 3: The mansion dude that thing.
- 35:56Speaker 5: Is huge yes but it's not like it's not like
- 36:01Speaker 5: on you go to edina and you're crazy i.
- 36:05Speaker 4: Don't know man your house is much nicer than mine
- 36:08Speaker 4: if you don't think that's.
- 36:09Speaker 5: Anything special well i actually live in the house in
- 36:13Speaker 5: the movie so I'm.
- 36:14Speaker 4: Going to go back to my shanty.
- 36:19Speaker 5: I thought it was interesting.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Just to see how well the newspaper business was doing
- 36:24Speaker 3: back then.
- 36:25Speaker 4: They were killing it. They were just like, can I
- 36:26Speaker 4: take another international trip? Sure.
- 36:29Speaker 5: Sure.
- 36:29Speaker 4: Get out of here.
- 36:31Speaker 3: Stay at the plaza when you get back.
- 36:33Speaker 4: It's just money.
- 36:34Speaker 5: Meanwhile, the current owners are just investing in crypto, trying
- 36:37Speaker 5: to make their money back.
- 36:39Speaker 3: Please someone read something.
- 36:42Speaker 4: Can anyone read anymore?
- 36:44Speaker 3: What if we turn it off your phone?
- 36:46Speaker 4: We'll make it a video Does that help? Does that help?
- 36:50Speaker 3: Does it help? Somewhat Those are my hot takes.
- 36:55Speaker 4: Those are two very hot takes Greatly done.
- 36:58Speaker 5: Nate This is going to be the hottest take of
- 37:01Speaker 5: the hottest takes I love it um so this is
- 37:05Speaker 5: what i wanted to wait to tell you guys.
- 37:07Speaker 3: I'm so excited dude oh my god.
- 37:09Speaker 5: When you guys robbie texted me and he was like
- 37:12Speaker 5: i didn't know there's a crocodile dundee i was like
- 37:15Speaker 5: it's gonna take two days for me to get back
- 37:16Speaker 5: to you because i'm very uncoordinated.
- 37:18Speaker 3: That did happen i'm busy.
- 37:22Speaker 5: Yeah it was like i read it at lunch then
- 37:23Speaker 5: forgot i got the text.
- 37:25Speaker 3: That happens to me all the time very relatable.
- 37:27Speaker 5: Yes um but i was like oh yeah that'd be
- 37:29Speaker 5: super fun and then so i said yes and then
- 37:32Speaker 5: i was like have i actually seen the whole movie
- 37:35Speaker 5: all the way through amazing i've only ever seen it
- 37:39Speaker 5: on tbs in bits i that's awesome we didn't own
- 37:44Speaker 5: it And we didn't like, I was not one in
- 37:48Speaker 5: my rotation. So I took it as a challenge. I've
- 37:52Speaker 5: watched it twice now.
- 37:54Speaker 4: I love this.
- 37:55Speaker 5: In the last couple days.
- 37:57Speaker 3: I love that. Dude, you bring up the knife thing
- 38:01Speaker 3: all the time. I just assumed it was in the rotation.
- 38:03Speaker 4: That's so funny.
- 38:04Speaker 5: No, because it is such a quotable line.
- 38:07Speaker 3: For sure it is.
- 38:08Speaker 4: And it was on TBS all the time.
- 38:10Speaker 5: All the time. But I had never seen the thing
- 38:13Speaker 5: from start to end.
- 38:15Speaker 4: That's amazing.
- 38:16Speaker 5: And it honestly was super, super weird for me because
- 38:20Speaker 5: I felt like I knew it. Yeah. But like, I
- 38:24Speaker 5: started watching it. And so I'm going to, here's my,
- 38:28Speaker 5: here's one of my hot takes, but cool.
- 38:30Speaker 4: Love it.
- 38:32Speaker 5: I feel like a lot of nothing happens in this movie. Like, yeah,
- 38:37Speaker 5: in my mind, it was going to be more Ace
- 38:39Speaker 5: Ventura where there was a little more action and a
- 38:42Speaker 5: little more, Like, because I remember the TBS parts that
- 38:45Speaker 5: you see. I was like, oh, there's so many things happening,
- 38:49Speaker 5: but so much nothing happens. They're in Australia. It's very
- 38:53Speaker 5: like you can see where the storyline is going. And
- 38:55Speaker 5: then they're in New York and you can see where
- 38:57Speaker 5: the storyline is going. And it doesn't. I mean, it
- 39:02Speaker 5: has like so many amazing scenes. And I love it.
- 39:07Speaker 5: Like it was everything I wanted it to be in
- 39:10Speaker 5: its entirety. I actually bought it. So I will literally
- 39:13Speaker 5: watch it again because it's so, it's so nostalgic for
- 39:18Speaker 5: me and it's not, but it's not familiar. So I
- 39:21Speaker 5: really enjoyed that part because it was like the music, the,
- 39:26Speaker 5: the lingo, just like everything kind of happening was very, familiar,
- 39:30Speaker 5: but not, um, you know, I didn't know it. I
- 39:35Speaker 5: didn't know what was going to happen. So that part
- 39:38Speaker 5: of it was, I was slightly disappointed that it felt
- 39:41Speaker 5: like more would evolve and it just kind of like, yeah, sure.
- 39:45Speaker 5: Just kind of followed the exact thing.
- 39:48Speaker 3: It's kind of 80s.
- 39:49Speaker 4: Movies, though, some of that, too.
- 39:51Speaker 5: I feel like they're more meandery. Yeah, very meandery. So
- 39:57Speaker 5: that is my first hot take. My second hot take,
- 40:01Speaker 5: and I don't know if this is the appropriate time
- 40:04Speaker 5: I can bring it up later, but I also agree
- 40:07Speaker 5: that Linda's character, first off, I got the same feelings
- 40:14Speaker 5: Rob did now.
- 40:18Speaker 4: For real.
- 40:19Speaker 5: Yeah. It was like, Oh, hello.
- 40:21Speaker 3: Um, what are these feelings?
- 40:27Speaker 5: But I really got mad at her character. Like I,
- 40:32Speaker 5: I legitimately was like, I, she's very attractive, but I
- 40:36Speaker 5: don't like her character. I don't like the way they
- 40:39Speaker 5: wrote it. And she played it exactly how it was
- 40:42Speaker 5: supposed to be. It's supposed to be that, but, as
- 40:46Speaker 5: I was saying earlier, it very much reminded me of my,
- 40:51Speaker 5: the girl that I was very much in love with
- 40:53Speaker 5: in high school at church. And she had a boyfriend,
- 40:56Speaker 5: but she was always like, Oh, I just, let's hang out.
- 41:00Speaker 5: Let's go to the church party together. And Oh no,
- 41:03Speaker 5: I don't want to go unless you go. And then
- 41:05Speaker 5: it was just so much of that. And I'm like
- 41:07Speaker 5: watching this and I'm just like, yeah, I don't have
- 41:10Speaker 5: time for this in my life anymore. Like, it just
- 41:16Speaker 5: made me so mad, but it played perfectly. It was fantastic. Overall,
- 41:22Speaker 5: I really loved it. There were just things actually watching
- 41:27Speaker 5: it for the first time that I was like, oh, okay.
- 41:31Speaker 5: There were not as many peaks and valleys as I
- 41:34Speaker 5: thought there were going to be. Like, the TBS, you know, Really,
- 41:40Speaker 5: I think I saw all the peaks and valleys and
- 41:42Speaker 5: thought there were going to be more.
- 41:44Speaker 4: For sure.
- 41:46Speaker 5: So, yeah.
- 41:48Speaker 3: Hot take, dude.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Hot take's all around.
- 41:50Speaker 5: Very hot take.
- 41:50Speaker 3: Love it.
- 41:52Speaker 4: Hot take. Well, let's go talk about our favorite acting performance.
- 41:56Speaker 4: Shall we name the dude?
- 41:58Speaker 3: The dude.
- 41:59Speaker 4: I'm the dude. So that's what you call me, you know?
- 42:03Speaker 4: That or his dudeness or duder or, you know, El Duderino,
- 42:09Speaker 4: if you're not into the whole brevity thing. Nate, you
- 42:11Speaker 4: want to go first? Who's your dude?
- 42:12Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll go first. Paul Hogan's my dude, man. Yeah.
- 42:16Speaker 5: I mean, there's nobody else in this movie that is
- 42:20Speaker 5: going to hold a candle to it. He actually has
- 42:22Speaker 5: a lot of. Oh, I'm totally blanking. I didn't.
- 42:29Speaker 4: Great Escape.
- 42:32Speaker 3: Steve McQueen.
- 42:33Speaker 4: He has.
- 42:33Speaker 5: Oh, he has a very Steve McQueen vibe. I like
- 42:37Speaker 5: that because the Great Escape is one of my favorite
- 42:40Speaker 5: go to is when I can't go to sleep. um
- 42:44Speaker 5: but yeah paul hogan.
- 42:45Speaker 4: Oldest soul i love that so much god it's so great.
- 42:49Speaker 5: I just love them.
- 42:51Speaker 4: Like i love that movie too i'm with you it's
- 42:54Speaker 4: just so funny i love that.
- 42:56Speaker 5: Yeah he he has a steve mcqueen-esque um he played
- 43:00Speaker 5: the role exactly how he needed to play it like
- 43:03Speaker 5: he's so funny um but he's not he's not super aloof,
- 43:07Speaker 5: even though he's a, his character is aloof. Like he's
- 43:10Speaker 5: not over the top where it's unbelievable. It's, it's very
- 43:14Speaker 5: like he puts it right in the pocket that is
- 43:19Speaker 5: still relatable, but also, you know, over the top kind
- 43:22Speaker 5: of funny.
- 43:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:23Speaker 5: And I really just, I just love that. I, I
- 43:27Speaker 5: look at his general physique and demeanor and I'm like.
- 43:32Speaker 3: What are these feelings? Sorry, I had to bring it back.
- 43:36Speaker 5: I was like, okay, so he's like 50 when he's
- 43:38Speaker 5: filming this because he's like 20 years older than his counterpart.
- 43:46Speaker 4: Oh, is he really? Of course he is.
- 43:48Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. He's born in like 39 and she's born
- 43:51Speaker 5: in 58, I think, if I remember correctly. Yeah, that's
- 43:54Speaker 5: 20 years. But I'm like, how do I look like
- 43:59Speaker 5: that when I'm older? How do I do that?
- 44:02Speaker 3: You can do it. I believe in you.
- 44:04Speaker 5: I'm working on it. I need to get sunburned a
- 44:08Speaker 5: few more times.
- 44:10Speaker 4: A few hundred more times. It's a leathery skin he's
- 44:15Speaker 4: got going on there.
- 44:16Speaker 5: Yeah, but it's just like classic Steve McQueen. Just kind
- 44:20Speaker 5: of like, don't care. gonna do what i'm gonna do
- 44:23Speaker 5: and i'm like yeah dude yeah.
- 44:25Speaker 4: Very comfortable with himself doesn't yeah yeah doesn't care about
- 44:29Speaker 4: societal norms uh he clearly is supposed to not know
- 44:34Speaker 4: about societal norms because but yeah.
- 44:39Speaker 5: Um no he's he's definitely my dude uh there was
- 44:42Speaker 5: for sure nobody else really in the running for that.
- 44:45Speaker 3: I mean it's called crocodile dundee crocodile dundee's probably gonna
- 44:48Speaker 3: be the dude I agree with everything you said. He
- 44:52Speaker 3: was so charming. He was so funny. I really love
- 44:55Speaker 3: that he played into like the legend of him and
- 45:00Speaker 3: like was really trying to come across as this amazing
- 45:03Speaker 3: dude who can look up at the sun until it's
- 45:06Speaker 3: two 20, but really he looked at his buddy's watch
- 45:08Speaker 3: beforehand or he's like shaving with a razor and then
- 45:13Speaker 3: Caesar coming by and takes out the, the machete.
- 45:16Speaker 4: I didn't remember that at all.
- 45:17Speaker 3: And I loved, I loved all that. That was really
- 45:20Speaker 3: fun for me. Um, and you know, I liked all
- 45:25Speaker 3: the little things like he'd sleep on the floor at
- 45:28Speaker 3: the Plaza. He's got this beautiful bed.
- 45:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:31Speaker 5: Um dude my back hurt just thinking about that oh.
- 45:34Speaker 3: Dude yeah that could not happen i know some people
- 45:37Speaker 3: are like oh my back hurts i better lay on
- 45:39Speaker 3: the floor that does not help me.
- 45:41Speaker 4: Gets hurt it seems like it's better for some reason
- 45:43Speaker 4: yeah i don't know.
- 45:44Speaker 5: You know what's better uh taking advil and going to
- 45:48Speaker 5: the chiropractor and then stretching and yeah not just laying
- 45:54Speaker 5: on a concrete floor.
- 45:55Speaker 3: Yeah, no chance. Um, but I also just felt like
- 45:58Speaker 3: he was a pretty decent dude too. And he was
- 46:01Speaker 3: like working out for folks and, um, I really enjoyed
- 46:05Speaker 3: his character a lot. It was fun. And he also,
- 46:08Speaker 3: you know, you could tell he wrote it, too. He
- 46:10Speaker 3: just made himself the coolest person on the planet.
- 46:13Speaker 4: Yes.
- 46:14Speaker 3: And then I'm going to beat him up and then I'm.
- 46:17Speaker 4: Going to kiss the girl and I'll meet a gangster
- 46:20Speaker 4: and he'll think I'm pretty cool.
- 46:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:25Speaker 3: I'm gonna punch out a pimp.
- 46:26Speaker 4: Or two it'll be amazing yeah it's gonna be great
- 46:30Speaker 4: uh love that it's a it is a clean sweep
- 46:32Speaker 4: this one was pretty easy um yeah i just think
- 46:36Speaker 4: he does a really good job of making himself look
- 46:39Speaker 4: cool and also not trying too hard at it which
- 46:43Speaker 4: is great um But, yeah, he really came across in
- 46:48Speaker 4: a way that I didn't remember from when I was
- 46:50Speaker 4: a kid as a real, like, shyster in this, too,
- 46:52Speaker 4: which I thought was really fun. Like you said, Rob, like,
- 46:55Speaker 4: kind of the dad bits of, like, well, I don't know.
- 46:58Speaker 4: You know, like, I looked at his watch, but then
- 47:00Speaker 4: I'm going to pretend and stuff. I just thought all
- 47:03Speaker 4: that stuff was so funny. And I just think he's great.
- 47:06Speaker 4: I don't know. I thought he was, like, sort of
- 47:09Speaker 4: effortlessly cool while also having a good heart and all
- 47:12Speaker 4: those things, too. Like, it was... it was just great.
- 47:15Speaker 4: I don't know. I feel like he nailed just like
- 47:17Speaker 4: right where he needed to be. Like you said, Nate,
- 47:19Speaker 4: he was right in the pocket of like, yep. You know,
- 47:22Speaker 4: super confident without being like cocky, like can punch people out.
- 47:26Speaker 4: And you're kind of, you get it.
- 47:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 47:30Speaker 4: So funny.
- 47:31Speaker 5: It's like if Steve McQueen from the great escape met, uh,
- 47:37Speaker 5: Bill and Ted's excellent adventures. Yeah. It's like, uh, It's
- 47:42Speaker 5: kind of just an aloof cool, but yeah, it's... Had
- 47:46Speaker 5: he gone any further, I think it would have wrecked it.
- 47:48Speaker 5: But I think he played it right where it needed
- 47:50Speaker 5: to be. Oh.
- 47:53Speaker 3: He's all right. All right. Let's go to the supporting
- 47:58Speaker 3: roles here, and let's choose the Tootie.
- 48:01Speaker 4: Tootie!
- 48:03Speaker 3: What do you got, Nate?
- 48:04Speaker 4: I mean.
- 48:07Speaker 5: There's not a lot of prominent other characters, so I'm
- 48:11Speaker 5: going with Linda Kozwalski. Yeah.
- 48:14Speaker 4: Love her.
- 48:15Speaker 5: I hated her in the movie, but I think she
- 48:18Speaker 5: did a fantastic job. She did well acting. Yes.
- 48:21Speaker 3: But hated her character.
- 48:22Speaker 5: Yes. I just really had disdain for her character because
- 48:26Speaker 5: it was like, I love you. I'm just all over
- 48:29Speaker 5: the place.
- 48:31Speaker 3: What are we doing? Yeah.
- 48:33Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, I'm in this committed relationship, but I'm
- 48:36Speaker 5: going to make out with you just because I'm in the,
- 48:38Speaker 5: you know, nature.
- 48:40Speaker 3: What if I was making a pass? Then what? Let's
- 48:42Speaker 3: make out. Oh, we'll come out to dinner with my
- 48:46Speaker 3: dude who wants to marry me.
- 48:47Speaker 5: This would be, God.
- 48:49Speaker 3: Hold on one second.
- 48:50Speaker 5: I got to put a thong on to go in
- 48:52Speaker 5: this Australian bush.
- 48:54Speaker 4: Wasn't mad at that careful with that sentence um but
- 48:58Speaker 4: uh also i i really gotta say you guys are
- 49:01Speaker 4: acting much more vehemently than i did ter and now
- 49:05Speaker 4: i'm just i feel bad because was it just because
- 49:07Speaker 4: i never even had a girl interested enough to.
- 49:09Speaker 5: Kind of want to be with me no stop it
- 49:13Speaker 5: stop you stop it you just had strong feelings.
- 49:16Speaker 4: I didn't uh no i didn't uh i didn't register
- 49:19Speaker 4: that same trauma you guys had and i'm with you
- 49:23Speaker 4: now i understand because you're right that was.
- 49:25Speaker 5: Poopy yeah i don't know i thought she did a
- 49:29Speaker 5: great job though she was like she was fantastic she
- 49:32Speaker 5: and well and she very much makes a good counterpart
- 49:35Speaker 5: to the way he played his role so yeah they
- 49:37Speaker 5: all fit together very very well it was cast well
- 49:41Speaker 5: um coming up i you know we'll also give a
- 49:45Speaker 5: shout out to carl winslow.
- 49:47Speaker 3: Hey come on that's my tooch oh you can do
- 49:50Speaker 3: it do it now that's my toochie award i'm giving
- 49:52Speaker 3: it up to reginald val.
- 49:53Speaker 5: Johnson he's so great all right well rob it's your
- 49:57Speaker 5: turn he was the man.
- 49:59Speaker 4: Is this your favorite movie where he's a limo driver Oh, no.
- 50:04Speaker 4: It's not. Yeah, I know.
- 50:05Speaker 3: I was saying, yeah.
- 50:06Speaker 5: What other movie is he a limo driver?
- 50:08Speaker 3: You know.
- 50:09Speaker 4: You know. Do I? It's a Christmas movie. It involves
- 50:14Speaker 4: a tall building. 9-11?
- 50:17Speaker 3: Well, no, he's the cop.
- 50:20Speaker 4: Oh, wait.
- 50:20Speaker 3: The limo driver is the, like, young kid.
- 50:24Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 50:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 50:25Speaker 4: Wait, isn't he a limo driver in something else, too? Shoot,
- 50:28Speaker 4: maybe I'm conflating now.
- 50:28Speaker 3: I mean, you're thinking of Die Hard, correct?
- 50:30Speaker 4: I was thinking of Die Hard.
- 50:31Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 50:32Speaker 4: I just knew he was in it.
- 50:33Speaker 3: He was the policeman Yeah of course he was He
- 50:39Speaker 3: was the limo driver Yeah the limo driver was that younger.
- 50:43Speaker 5: Dude Yeah sorry You're good Diehard's another one of the
- 50:47Speaker 5: ones I've only seen like probably two times in full Diehard?
- 50:51Speaker 5: Yeah And it was great. I just, it's one of
- 50:55Speaker 5: those ones that I just kind of missed.
- 50:57Speaker 3: Yeah, it's great. Um, but I loved Gus in this, uh,
- 51:00Speaker 3: not a huge role, but every time he was on there,
- 51:03Speaker 3: he was awesome. He gave him his own personal stash
- 51:06Speaker 3: of booze when he knew he needed it. He used
- 51:09Speaker 3: the limo spoiler as a boomerang. Um, Pretty cool.
- 51:14Speaker 4: That was the weirdest part of this movie.
- 51:16Speaker 3: Come on. No, that was amazing.
- 51:19Speaker 4: Also, can I just say, if I'm being driven around,
- 51:23Speaker 4: I don't know that I want my limo driver to
- 51:25Speaker 4: have the bottle of hooch within an arm's reach.
- 51:30Speaker 3: Definitely in the front seat.
- 51:32Speaker 5: It was the 80s.
- 51:33Speaker 3: He was brown bagging it in the front seat.
- 51:34Speaker 4: It's like he's being very kind, but also, what's happening here?
- 51:38Speaker 3: Gus, we need to talk.
- 51:39Speaker 4: Yeah, Gus, you've got a problem.
- 51:41Speaker 3: You might have an issue.
- 51:43Speaker 5: I wouldn't call it an issue as much as I
- 51:45Speaker 5: would say he was just trying to get through his day.
- 51:47Speaker 3: Yeah, but part of his day is driving me around.
- 51:51Speaker 3: This is not a great look.
- 51:52Speaker 5: Well, Rob, I don't know if you've noticed, but limos
- 51:55Speaker 5: aren't a thing anymore. It's probably because of this.
- 51:57Speaker 3: They're kind of uncomfortable. If I'm being honest.
- 51:59Speaker 4: They're not.
- 52:00Speaker 3: Get in there. I'm being serious.
- 52:03Speaker 4: Mr. I've been in a limo.
- 52:04Speaker 3: All right. Oh, my diamond shoes are too tight. Have
- 52:12Speaker 3: I ever been in a limo?
- 52:13Speaker 4: I don't think I have. I don't think I've ever
- 52:15Speaker 4: been in a limo.
- 52:16Speaker 5: Are you kidding? Well, we didn't have.
- 52:18Speaker 4: A lot of limos for prom and stuff.
- 52:20Speaker 3: You didn't have any limos on there?
- 52:21Speaker 4: Not in Bidet, Minnesota. I'm sorry.
- 52:24Speaker 5: You grew up in Bidet, so.
- 52:27Speaker 4: Mr.
- 52:27Speaker 3: I've been in a limo. Sorry.
- 52:30Speaker 4: I'm just being silly.
- 52:32Speaker 5: Well, you guys couldn't get one from Canada for like
- 52:34Speaker 5: the weekend?
- 52:35Speaker 4: Well, would that probably be your best bet?
- 52:37Speaker 3: No, I don't think I've ever.
- 52:38Speaker 4: Been in a limo. I need to get a limo.
- 52:40Speaker 3: But now they have like the Escalade limos and those
- 52:44Speaker 3: are probably amazing.
- 52:45Speaker 4: That's too much for me.
- 52:47Speaker 5: Oh, the limos are dumb.
- 52:49Speaker 3: I went to one. Or a hummo.
- 52:51Speaker 4: I'm sorry, what?
- 52:53Speaker 3: You know what I said.
- 52:54Speaker 4: Is that the thong in the bush thing?
- 52:56Speaker 3: Is that the difference? No, different.
- 52:58Speaker 5: That's also on the dude.
- 52:59Speaker 4: It's a Hummer limo.
- 53:00Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 53:01Speaker 5: Anyway.
- 53:03Speaker 4: I don't know what they do in them. I've never
- 53:04Speaker 4: been in one.
- 53:07Speaker 5: Google or Cisco video? I was just going to say
- 53:10Speaker 5: that I was in one in high school for snow days.
- 53:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you were.
- 53:16Speaker 5: I was on the court and I did not win.
- 53:20Speaker 4: Damn it. Which is okay. They asked me to emcee it,
- 53:24Speaker 4: so I hear you.
- 53:26Speaker 5: Yeah they were like oh we need somebody that uh
- 53:30Speaker 5: he's gonna be free maybe we ask him but they're
- 53:35Speaker 5: wildly uncomfortable like i'm glad limos went away because honestly
- 53:39Speaker 5: the sprinter van that's kind of dolled up or there's
- 53:42Speaker 5: so many so.
- 53:43Speaker 3: Many better options are awesome i do i don't know.
- 53:46Speaker 5: Why that was like the peak of like money back
- 53:51Speaker 5: from like.
- 53:51Speaker 3: The 60s can i get a limo now oh for
- 53:54Speaker 3: sure For.
- 53:55Speaker 5: Like $ 8. I might get a.
- 53:57Speaker 4: Limo for some things.
- 53:59Speaker 5: You can probably buy one.
- 54:01Speaker 3: Get a limo.
- 54:02Speaker 4: I don't want to buy one. I just want to
- 54:04Speaker 4: sit in it. Find it's uncomfortable and not to my
- 54:07Speaker 4: liking and then move on.
- 54:08Speaker 3: It'll be cheaper to.
- 54:09Speaker 5: Buy than rent. Yeah, no, you're really not. They're super lame.
- 54:15Speaker 5: And Gus is.
- 54:18Speaker 3: Drinking in them. Mews, who is your tooch?
- 54:22Speaker 4: I had a tough time with this one. I know
- 54:26Speaker 4: that this person has already come up. You know, it
- 54:29Speaker 4: was a great scene. Very intriguing. Wonderful. But then there
- 54:35Speaker 4: was another scene and I'm going to take the red
- 54:37Speaker 4: dress that she wears to the hoity doity party.
- 54:40Speaker 3: I think that was a fun dress too.
- 54:42Speaker 4: It was between that and the black thong.
- 54:44Speaker 3: Well, then you're going to take the red dress. There
- 54:47Speaker 3: was something very appealing about that dress.
- 54:51Speaker 4: It was pretty. It was very zany. Like, I've never
- 54:54Speaker 4: seen a dress like that. Very 80s. Very 80s.
- 54:56Speaker 5: Yeah, very.
- 54:57Speaker 4: It was weird.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Did she have, like, white gloves, too?
- 55:01Speaker 4: Don't recall.
- 55:01Speaker 3: No, I think I'm mixing that up with Pretty Woman, maybe.
- 55:04Speaker 4: Let me just put my screensaver on real quick.
- 55:06Speaker 3: No, don't see any gloves. Don't see any gloves.
- 55:10Speaker 5: I mean, her fully clothed in this, she is gorgeous.
- 55:14Speaker 3: She's a beautiful lady.
- 55:16Speaker 5: Like, very nice looking lady.
- 55:19Speaker 3: But yeah, I was just being silly.
- 55:21Speaker 4: I would pick her. I probably would have picked Mr.
- 55:25Speaker 4: Bill Johnson after that. But John Mellon, who plays Walter... Mylon?
- 55:31Speaker 4: I don't know how you say his name.
- 55:33Speaker 3: Oh, Wally. Wally, yeah.
- 55:35Speaker 5: Wally.
- 55:36Speaker 4: I like him, and he plays a much bigger part
- 55:38Speaker 4: in part two, and he's very funny in it. So
- 55:42Speaker 4: I like that character. I was like, on this rewatch,
- 55:46Speaker 4: I was like, he's barely in this.
- 55:49Speaker 3: And he doesn't do much.
- 55:51Speaker 4: No, he doesn't do a lot.
- 55:52Speaker 3: He introduces her to him.
- 55:53Speaker 4: He's very erotic and silly, and that's about it. And
- 55:56Speaker 4: it's like, he's trying to like deep the newspaper out
- 56:00Speaker 4: of money is what it seems like a little bit
- 56:01Speaker 4: because he's kind of the one that's that's like really
- 56:04Speaker 4: furthering the legend of crocodile dandy and all that um
- 56:09Speaker 4: but i thought he did a good job and honestly
- 56:11Speaker 4: like there's not that many people in this movie.
- 56:13Speaker 3: Dude i thought the editor earlier richard played by mark
- 56:18Speaker 3: bloom he was a classic tool bag yeah those like
- 56:25Speaker 3: lighter colored suits, the bright white shoes and just, you
- 56:31Speaker 3: just didn't like him. You didn't like him right away.
- 56:34Speaker 4: That's a good call.
- 56:36Speaker 3: And that, that was a good performance.
- 56:38Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 56:39Speaker 4: I liked that a lot. That's a super good call.
- 56:41Speaker 4: Cause he, you had to hate him and you did
- 56:44Speaker 4: pretty quick.
- 56:45Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 56:46Speaker 3: Especially at that dinner where he's drunk and just being
- 56:48Speaker 3: a jerk, just trying to belittle this guy.
- 56:51Speaker 4: It was dumb. There's no reason for that.
- 56:53Speaker 3: Oh, come on.
- 56:54Speaker 5: We've all been there.
- 56:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 56:56Speaker 3: One of my biggest peeves is making people feel dumb
- 57:01Speaker 3: or just like belittling people. I hate that so much.
- 57:05Speaker 4: I would talk about limos less if you really don't
- 57:07Speaker 4: like that.
- 57:08Speaker 3: No, just.
- 57:11Speaker 4: Kidding.
- 57:12Speaker 5: I agree.
- 57:12Speaker 3: That does suck.
- 57:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 57:14Speaker 5: That's all I do with you, Rob, is tell you
- 57:17Speaker 5: how crappy you are.
- 57:18Speaker 3: I know it. I know it.
- 57:21Speaker 4: Yeah that is brutal he was lovably hateable as well
- 57:25Speaker 4: yeah yeah good job.
- 57:27Speaker 5: This is very very 80 like they literally followed like
- 57:31Speaker 5: the 80s algorithm of hateable characters to make the good
- 57:36Speaker 5: guy look good yep um which was very well very.
- 57:41Speaker 4: Well done yeah For sure. David Goupilil was also very good.
- 57:47Speaker 4: He was fun. I liked the subversion of the Aboriginal folks,
- 57:53Speaker 4: you know?
- 57:53Speaker 3: Like, I thought that was.
- 57:54Speaker 4: Kind of fun that they're not, you know? like backwoods
- 57:57Speaker 4: folk or whatever.
- 57:58Speaker 3: I love that. He was like, he just kind of
- 58:01Speaker 3: thinks his way. And then you just hear him. Oh,
- 58:03Speaker 3: he like runs into some, I hate the bush. I
- 58:06Speaker 3: loved that.
- 58:07Speaker 4: That was really funny. I liked that. That was good. Yeah.
- 58:10Speaker 4: I just thought that guy was funny. And then I
- 58:12Speaker 4: liked the whole, the whole crew, like his band of
- 58:16Speaker 4: merry men, basically that he has back in the, uh,
- 58:19Speaker 4: what's the town's name again? I'm forgetting it now. The
- 58:22Speaker 4: walkabout walkabout.
- 58:23Speaker 3: Trail walkabout Creek. But it looked like it was close
- 58:27Speaker 3: to Brisbane.
- 58:29Speaker 4: Oh, really? Which is cool.
- 58:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 58:31Speaker 5: I've been there a couple times.
- 58:32Speaker 4: Never been.
- 58:33Speaker 5: You didn't bring me.
- 58:33Speaker 4: Never been.
- 58:34Speaker 3: Been to Brisbane. Been in a few limos in Brisbane.
- 58:37Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. Here it is.
- 58:41Speaker 5: Hey, Bugz, did you want to go to Broadway Pizza
- 58:43Speaker 5: this weekend?
- 58:44Speaker 4: Yeah, only if we get a limo and don't invite Rob.
- 58:47Speaker 3: Yeah, no. Oh, I'd be so uncomfy. They're just terrible.
- 58:52Speaker 4: I'm not eating Broadway Pizza. What are you, nuts?
- 58:55Speaker 2: Oh.
- 58:56Speaker 3: Unless it's from the Broadway of New York.
- 58:59Speaker 4: Is that what you mean?
- 59:01Speaker 3: Then yes. Count me in.
- 59:04Speaker 4: Jeeves, get the jet.
- 59:07Speaker 5: It's a prop plane now, but.
- 59:09Speaker 4: Oh, that's true. That's true. Times are hard.
- 59:14Speaker 5: Gas is expensive.
- 59:16Speaker 3: Oh, is it ever. Let's keep on moving. Let's pick
- 59:19Speaker 3: our favorite scene and let's choose the dingus.
- 59:21Speaker 4: The dingus.
- 59:24Speaker 3: So dingus is quite simple, really.
- 59:27Speaker 4: Dingus. Dingus.
- 59:28Speaker 3: I could talk about my dingus all night long.
- 59:30Speaker 5: I'm gonna kiss you, dingus.
- 59:30Speaker 4: Nate, what about for scene?
- 59:34Speaker 5: There were a bunch that I really loved. I just
- 59:36Speaker 5: kind of jotted down parts, so pardon me if these
- 59:40Speaker 5: aren't super, like, in-depth, but I think my favorite scene,
- 59:45Speaker 5: because I definitely giggled out loud, was when he had
- 59:49Speaker 5: a good interaction with Irving the bellhop at the end
- 59:52Speaker 5: of the movie, and they trade accents.
- 59:55Speaker 4: That is pretty great.
- 59:56Speaker 5: I just thought that was, like, the cutest little, like.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: So cute. Hey, buddy.
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: Good day.
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: Good day. I thought that was a great, like, way
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: for things to come around.
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: I like that.
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: And I do have a few little runners up.
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: But.
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: Let's see.
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: Where did that go?
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: Well, I'll say mine. I'll say just because it's the
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: most memorable one by far that everybody talks about and
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: that you quote all the time, Nate. Just the mugging scene.
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: So great.
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: That's what I think of when I think of this movie.
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: It's pretty quick. Just that line.
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: Just that line, pretty much.
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: Same.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: But yeah, you got to mention that one.
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a good one.
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: That's definitely one of them.
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: Uh i like the scene where now this is gonna
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: sound i like the scene where she goes off by
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: herself and then he has to rescue her now crocodile
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: attack now listen i understand in that scene also the
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: bikini comes into play it's comes into play yes i
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: get that but i thought it was just really emotionally
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: well done Great cinematography. Very scary.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: We did not talk about the score. It's kind of cool.
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: The score is great.
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good call. I did like the score
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: a lot. Did you notice that it was by Peter Best?
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: And that was the original drummer of the Beatles. I
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: did not know that.
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: It's not the same guy.
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: It goes by Peter when he's making something highbrow.
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: The Beatles are highbrow.
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: Sure, they got high brows. Sure. Just like Rob right there.
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: His brows were quite high.
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: My brows were very high, but you couldn't see this
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: because they had their long hair.
- 1:01:53Speaker 5: That's true. Dirty hippies.
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: Damned hippies. Hippies.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: Them long hairs. Dude, I had the crocodile attack as
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: my runner up for sure.
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: I think that scene's pretty great.
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: It's a great scene for sure.
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: Also, also, also, she was just putting swamp water in
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: her canteen. Like this gal. Oh, my God. What is
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: she doing out here? Dude.
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: Listen, you don't have to be from Baudette to know
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: that's a bad idea.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: It's not a good idea.
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: You better be boiling that.
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: What are you doing right now? What are you doing?
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: And dude, just walking around by yourself. So many things
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: want to kill you there. So many things.
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm out on that. I'm out on that. This
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: is one way that New Zealand is just absolutely better
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: than Australia. They don't have any of this stuff that
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: wants to kill you.
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: Buddy.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: Some beautiful vistas, maybe? Hot take. Butter? Bread?
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: Settle down.
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: I'm going to go there. What else did I have?
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: What were some of your runner-ups, Nate?
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: The bar scene right before the knife scene I thought
- 1:03:02Speaker 5: was a fantastic minus the whole grabbing the person.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: That kind of taints it a little bit.
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: It kind of wrecked it. So I was trying to
- 1:03:10Speaker 5: take it in context because it was like I'm I,
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: I was not of age or understand the culture as
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: much as I like music from back then. So I
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: was just trying to take it in stride, but I
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: did really think the interaction with, um, the, the black
- 1:03:30Speaker 5: person where he was just being so like honest, like
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: what tribe are you from? Because that's all he knows.
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: I just thought that was kind of funny. And, um,
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: Is that the scene? I also wrote down, there was
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: a line that was just blowing the frost off a
- 1:03:49Speaker 5: little when he's talking to us.
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: Just blowing the frost off a few?
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's the same deal. Yeah, that's the same.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: Like he's kind of doing, yeah. It's like, what's happening?
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: Yeah, I thought that was a great exchange of dialogue.
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: I thought that was well written and well acted. Like
- 1:04:08Speaker 5: they both were very funny in that.
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: And I will say those slang things are the hardest
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: things to understand with people from like.
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: Even from like England or, you know, where it's like,
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: what the hell are you talking?
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: Like, I remember when I was on the ships talking
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: with those folks from England and just them asking like,
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: you all right like just that because they just mean
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: like hey how's it going but i always at first
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: i was like do i not see all right i
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: don't i'm okay i feel i think i feel.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: Have you heard anything listen.
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: I had one mike's hard lemonade and i don't know
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: which direction to go right now where i'm going where
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: am i how.
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: Does this giant ship stay afloat vexes me i.
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: Don't uh yeah yeah that that bar scene was good
- 1:04:56Speaker 5: a few a few outdated things that were a little
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: off-putting sure um but uh all in all i yeah
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: that that scene definitely stuck out i thought it was
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: a really funny like taking the you know jive from
- 1:05:11Speaker 5: both sides and i thought that was fun i love.
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: That uh i know we get to will there be
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: a sequel later but i think they could do like
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: a offshoot of this um Just about a kangaroo that
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: has a gun and goes and shoots poachers, because that
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: was pretty fun.
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: That was great.
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: Very stupid, but pretty fun.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: I liked that a lot. And it was the same
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: guy from earlier. Yeah, it was very well played. Had
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: to tussle with. I enjoyed that a lot.
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: Me too.
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: The kangaroo's got a gun. It was really funny, dude.
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: I liked that a lot. I'm so glad you remembered that.
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so funny.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: I forgot about that.
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: Cracked me up. I did like that a lot.
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: That was good.
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: And then I will just say sort of a it's
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: a cheesy moment, but I liked it. I bet they did, too.
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: Just the subway scene.
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: Oh, no. So fun.
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: Get out of here, you guys.
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: Oh, it's lovely.
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: He was walking on top of people to.
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: Get over there. I seem to remember he like was
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: holding a girder or something. I was like, he's just
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: he's surely they could just get out of the way
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: and you could walk.
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: No, no, no, you can't let him like.
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: Crowd surf you.
- 1:06:22Speaker 6: Walking on them is the worst option.
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: It was so dumb. Or wait the 10 minutes till
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: the train comes.
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: Let them get in there.
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: Yes. And meet in the middle then.
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: There are a lot of options.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: I feel like you're feeling all the nits that I
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: was picking. What were you? Yes. A lot of different options. Seriously.
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: That's the worst one. For sure.
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: I loved it, but I also hate myself for loving it.
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: Oh, I loved it. I don't hate anything.
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: Because it's so dumb. It's like one of those where
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: you're like... I just think you could have done so
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: many things to make this easier.
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: He could have just ran to her and it would
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: have still been a lovely moment. He didn't have to
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: walk on them. I will say I really thought New
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: Yorkers were very kind and supportive from watching this movie.
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: And you know, they're not unkind, but they definitely don't.
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: They would not be okay with you walking on their shoulders.
- 1:07:19Speaker 4: I don't think that would fly.
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: No.
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: Well, but if it's for true love.
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe.
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: From a person who just broke up with her fiance.
- 1:07:30Speaker 5: Also, can we talk about that?
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: Did she break up with him? Do we even know?
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: She just left. No, I think she just left. He
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: still doesn't know for sure.
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: Like the chances of this relationship lasting longer than a
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: month and a half is real low.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: Well, is she in two?
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: Which is like, I.
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: Believe they got married in real life. Oh, for I
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: think a number of years. Let me look this up.
- 1:08:03Speaker 5: I don't know. Don't I just feel like an idiot?
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: You? Well, you were talking about in the show. That's different, obviously.
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: I will also say I enjoyed when he took out
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: the pimp twice. I really with the help of Carl Winslow.
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: So fantastic.
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: And the boomerang spoiler. I really enjoyed that.
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: I like the relationship that he cultivated.
- 1:08:25Speaker 4: The boomerang is so dumb and great.
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: I love it so much. And at one other point,
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: he throws a thing of beans at a dude who's
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: stealing a purse.
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: Honestly, that's more believable than the spoiler being a boomerang.
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: The radio for the car that's in the shape of
- 1:08:45Speaker 5: a boomerang.
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: Yeah, so they got married in 1990.
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: Wow.
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: Uh, they had a son named chance and they got
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: divorced in 2014. So they were married a long time.
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: They were lasted. yeah so you're telling me she's single.
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: Yeah dude is she even still alive because.
- 1:09:05Speaker 5: He's yeah she's no no he's still alive too he's
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: like born in 39 he's like my what my grandma
- 1:09:13Speaker 5: would be yeah No, no, no. He's eight years younger
- 1:09:15Speaker 5: than her.
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 1:09:17Speaker 5: He is still alive.
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: I can't believe it.
- 1:09:19Speaker 5: And she's got to be like my parents age, like 67.
- 1:09:22Speaker 5: Something like that.
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: Yep. They're both still alive. Can't believe it. 10, 11.
- 1:09:28Speaker 5: Cook a melon.
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: Yeah. We have kids.
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 1:09:36Speaker 5: Rob, I have gotten to the point where there are
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: some things that I'm like, I don't care and I'm
- 1:09:43Speaker 5: not going to participate. I don't know what you're saying.
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: I don't understand the question, and I will not answer.
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: There you go.
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: I don't know what you mean. I think you know that,
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: and I'm just going to assume it's an insult. That's
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: what I always say to these kids.
- 1:09:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: Rob's kids call me bruh a lot, and it makes
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: me laugh every time. Yeah. Yeah, bruh.
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: It's a real thing.
- 1:10:09Speaker 5: I've negated that by just calling my son bruh. And
- 1:10:13Speaker 5: then he's like, oh, this isn't cool.
- 1:10:16Speaker 4: I don't like this anymore. If you like it, I'm out,
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: he says.
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: This is very mid. Let's pick the mugging scene in
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: the Crocodile Attack.
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. I forgot what we were doing. Yes.
- 1:10:27Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. Let's do that. Are we still rolling?
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: We're still rolling.
- 1:10:31Speaker 4: We're still rolling.
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: I passed out. And let's keep going. Let's go to
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: favorite quotes. Let's show me the money.
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: Show me the money.
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: I need to feel the character. Show me the money!
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: Show me the money! Nate, what's the quote that you love?
- 1:10:49Speaker 5: I mean, I have a lot. A lot of them
- 1:10:52Speaker 5: that I was jotting down in my notes as it
- 1:10:53Speaker 5: was going.
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: What's the one that you quote a lot?
- 1:10:57Speaker 5: Well, I mean, that's not a knife. That's a knife.
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: That's such a good one.
- 1:11:05Speaker 5: I mean, that arguably made this movie. That quote alone
- 1:11:09Speaker 5: is phenomenal.
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: Such a small part of this film. So small.
- 1:11:15Speaker 5: It's not even really quintessential to the plot.
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: I remember it so much from this movie.
- 1:11:25Speaker 5: Internationally known.
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: Big time.
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: Love that.
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: One small little quote that I really appreciated that I
- 1:11:35Speaker 5: wrote down that most people probably didn't catch, but They're
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: in a party or alley, and the person goes, is
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: smoking some marijuana, and goes, this is good.
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, and then he smells it.
- 1:11:54Speaker 5: He smells it.
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: That was good.
- 1:11:57Speaker 5: He just doesn't understand. Calling it.
- 1:12:07Speaker 5: That was good i thought that was a great little
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: quote that is probably yeah wildly unnoticed in that movie
- 1:12:15Speaker 5: love that yeah i'll let you guys go and i'm
- 1:12:18Speaker 5: sure you'll pick up a few more of mine yeah.
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: Um that's incredible imagine seven million people all wanting to
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: live together yeah new york must be the friendliest place
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: on earth that's fine that's fine she asks if the
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: croc is dead. She's like, is it dead? And he's like, well,
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: if it isn't, I'm going to have a hell of
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: a job skinning the bastard.
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I got him.
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: Like when we see the aboriginal guy, he's like, oh, no,
- 1:12:53Speaker 3: you can't take my photograph. She's like, oh, I'm sorry.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: You believe it will take your spirit away? He's like, no,
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: you got the lens cap on it. What are you doing?
- 1:13:00Speaker 5: Rough.
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: I don't agree with it.
- 1:13:04Speaker 5: Great writing moments like that.
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I like that. When she's pretending to be the
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: housekeeper and she puts her leg out there by the bathroom.
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: My heavens.
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: He's like, for a minute there, a room service took
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: on a whole new meaning.
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: I love how bashful he gets there.
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: He was. He gets the hat, puts it over the bubbles. Man.
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: What is this?
- 1:13:34Speaker 5: Oh, so what does he say when he pokes his
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: head out the window when he realizes the bidet is
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: to wash your.
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: For cleaning your backside.
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: It's for cleaning your backside. Yeah, that's good.
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: That's pretty good.
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: It's a bidet, mate. I also like the one that
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: comes back. He shows all the things that you can
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: survive on eating.
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: Yeah, that's good.
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: And she's like, well, you can live on it, but
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: it tastes like shit.
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: And then she.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: Gets him a New York hot dog with everything on it.
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: I mean, that looked delicious.
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: At first, I was just like, oh, but all of
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: the things?
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't want to relish on it.
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: You can't have all of the things. And it comes back. Well,
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: you can live on it, but it tastes like shit.
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: It was great. It was a great callback.
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: It was great.
- 1:14:20Speaker 3: Bugues, what do you got? Let's see.
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: Um.
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: Mick in a city? No chance. The paper would pay. Well,
- 1:14:28Speaker 4: a man should broaden his horizons.
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: There it is.
- 1:14:32Speaker 4: That was pretty fun.
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: That newspaper money, bro.
- 1:14:35Speaker 4: Newspaper money! Uh, let's see. Oh, when he's like, oh, television.
- 1:14:41Speaker 4: I saw that back at Woolly's place years ago. Then
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: I Love Lucy comes on. He's like, yeah, that's what
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: I saw.
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: Yep.
- 1:14:48Speaker 4: I thought that was a pretty great bit that I
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: didn't remember.
- 1:14:51Speaker 5: That is, yeah.
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: I thought that was pretty fun.
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: Um, Get on the right side of the road, you pelican.
- 1:14:57Speaker 4: I thought that was a great insult. You pelican.
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: Oh, I hope you use that.
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: Oh, if I remember. I'm going to do it. I'm
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: going to call Adam Rupp a pelican next time I
- 1:15:08Speaker 4: see him. You pelican.
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: Probably not the first time he's heard it.
- 1:15:12Speaker 4: Yeah, he does have a, never mind. Let's see. Oh,
- 1:15:18Speaker 4: when he's, they like, he shows her the boat where
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: he got like hung up and all that stuff that's
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: like washed up, you know? And she's, for some reason,
- 1:15:26Speaker 4: this boat has been washed up. It also still has
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: casings from bullets in it. Don't worry about it too much,
- 1:15:32Speaker 4: I guess. But she lifts up the casings. She's like,
- 1:15:35Speaker 4: so you're just out here fishing. And he just goes, well,
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: barramundi's a bloody big fish. I thought that was a
- 1:15:41Speaker 4: good line. I liked that.
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: That was good.
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: I liked it a lot. When Walt drops him off
- 1:15:47Speaker 4: in the bush, and he's like, all right, till Wednesday. Yeah,
- 1:15:50Speaker 4: till Wednesday. And then he just, he like pauses and
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: he goes, Hey, what's today, Walt? It's like Monday, right?
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: Until Wednesday. I just thought that was really a fun
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: little moment. That was great. Oh, and I like this
- 1:16:10Speaker 4: line a lot. You see those rocks over there? They've
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: been standing for 600 million years. They'll be here long
- 1:16:16Speaker 4: after you and I are gone. So arguing over who
- 1:16:18Speaker 4: owns them? Well, that's like two fleas arguing over who
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: owns the dog they live on.
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: I love that.
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: That's a pretty great line.
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: That was some real stuff right there.
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I liked that a lot. Deeper than I remembered
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: this movie going, for sure.
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: For sure. That was mostly all the ones I wrote down, though, honestly.
- 1:16:38Speaker 3: I had one other one. Nate, did you have any more?
- 1:16:42Speaker 5: You guys covered them. You can live on it, but
- 1:16:45Speaker 5: it tastes like shit. one of mine oh so good
- 1:16:48Speaker 5: i just thought it was so funny yeah that's a
- 1:16:50Speaker 5: great line it was it was hard watching it the
- 1:16:52Speaker 5: first time and i didn't want to rely on the
- 1:16:55Speaker 5: cliff notes uh on google so i was trying to
- 1:16:58Speaker 5: write them down as i went i got like four
- 1:17:00Speaker 5: of them um that i really just like actually laughed
- 1:17:06Speaker 5: at which is honestly it was super fun to be
- 1:17:10Speaker 5: able to watch it in full for the first time.
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: I can't believe that. That's so fun.
- 1:17:14Speaker 5: As, like, an assignment, because it was one of those
- 1:17:16Speaker 5: where it was like, I know what's supposed to happen, but, like,
- 1:17:20Speaker 5: I need to actually watch this.
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: When you actually, like, tune in a little bit more, maybe,
- 1:17:23Speaker 4: than we do with some of these older movies, right?
- 1:17:26Speaker 5: Yes. We're the ones I've seen a hundred times.
- 1:17:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:17:29Speaker 5: Like, you know, I could quote Back to the Future... Right.
- 1:17:33Speaker 5: line for line.
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: You could. That's funny.
- 1:17:36Speaker 5: And, yeah, it was really fun watching something that felt
- 1:17:40Speaker 5: like that, but, yeah, there were all... I wish I
- 1:17:44Speaker 5: would have written more down, but I was also like
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: trying to watch it and enjoy it.
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: Totally.
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: The last one I had was she said that croc
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: was going to eat me alive. He's like, well, I
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: wouldn't hold that against him. Same thought crossed my mind
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: once or twice.
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: Sassy.
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: Hello.
- 1:18:02Speaker 5: I don't get it.
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: Well, it's OK. Bugues boohoo moments.
- 1:18:07Speaker 6: Well.
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: I don't think you cried in this movie, bro.
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: Intriguing. Yeah, bro.
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: Zero times.
- 1:18:15Speaker 4: Zero from Rob? Nate, what do you say?
- 1:18:19Speaker 5: I think Bugues cried zero times as well.
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: There's been a lot of zeros this year. This is
- 1:18:28Speaker 4: not one of them. There's one time I cried in
- 1:18:33Speaker 4: this movie and it's Tell Him I Love Him. I
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: love you.
- 1:18:41Speaker 5: I love you.
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: At the subway?
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: I love you. I thought it was great. There was
- 1:18:46Speaker 4: a swell of music. Maybe swelling of other things. I
- 1:18:49Speaker 4: don't know that's none of my business i i thought
- 1:18:52Speaker 4: it was a lovely little moment i thought it was nice.
- 1:18:55Speaker 5: I mean it was a lovely moment i just didn't think.
- 1:18:59Speaker 4: That she was the worst haven't been in a limo
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: i did cry during this movie a lot of things
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: are going against me in this episode A lot of things.
- 1:19:08Speaker 5: Listen, Abuse, how old are you?
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: 41.
- 1:19:13Speaker 5: Okay, so not for you.
- 1:19:14Speaker 4: How old are you?
- 1:19:15Speaker 5: No, no, no. I was going to ask.
- 1:19:16Speaker 4: The older I get, that's a trickier question.
- 1:19:18Speaker 5: I was going to say, I thought you were older
- 1:19:20Speaker 5: than me, but if you were still turning 40, I
- 1:19:22Speaker 5: will rent you a limo for your 40th birthday.
- 1:19:24Speaker 4: Hell yeah. Well, we're going to have to do 50.
- 1:19:27Speaker 5: Yeah, like 45 or 50. Let's do 45. Who knows if.
- 1:19:30Speaker 4: We make it to 50?
- 1:19:31Speaker 5: Honestly.
- 1:19:32Speaker 4: Stop it. I know, but we have to celebrate these
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: things while we can.
- 1:19:36Speaker 5: Yeah, AI is going to take over and we're all
- 1:19:38Speaker 5: going to die anyway.
- 1:19:40Speaker 4: Maybe AI will put me in a limo. That'd be nice.
- 1:19:43Speaker 5: Well, it'll be a digital limo, but you'll be.
- 1:19:45Speaker 4: Yeah, that works. I have been in a digital limo.
- 1:19:50Speaker 4: For sure.
- 1:19:51Speaker 5: Anyway.
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: One.
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: One cry.
- 1:19:54Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:19:56Speaker 7: crazy hit us with some trivia bugues what's that crazy
- 1:19:59Speaker 7: um uh david gupilil uh choreographed the traditional aboriginal dance
- 1:20:05Speaker 7: shown in the movie uh he's one of the most
- 1:20:08Speaker 7: famous and acclaimed tribal dancers of all time.
- 1:20:10Speaker 4: In australia so that's kind of cool That's very cool. Legit.
- 1:20:15Speaker 4: The Sydney Harbor Bridge is shown in the beginning of
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: the movie from the hotel window while Sue is on
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: the phone to New York. Paul Hogan helped paint this
- 1:20:24Speaker 4: bridge before he started his life as an actor and
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: was said to have kept his co-workers laughing a good
- 1:20:29Speaker 4: bit of the time. I believe that. That's pretty cool.
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: That's not a brush. That's a brush.
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: Crocodile Dundee was the second biggest box office hit of 1986.
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: That is insane.
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: That's wild.
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: Crazy.
- 1:20:48Speaker 5: Was Top Gun number one?
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: That's a good question.
- 1:20:52Speaker 5: Because that was 86, I think.
- 1:20:54Speaker 4: Top grossing movie 1986. It was Top Gun. You nailed it, buddy.
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: Nicely done, Nate. Top down. 176 million.
- 1:21:07Speaker 5: I always.
- 1:21:12Speaker 4: Lose. $ 116 million for Crocodile Dundee. Wow. Nuts.
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: And this would be a straight to streaming now.
- 1:21:21Speaker 5: Oh, this would be like, yeah, Netflix would be like, uh, okay.
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: Do you want to know what number four was? Let's
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: put it on Tubi.
- 1:21:30Speaker 4: Number four that year for 1986. Not Aliens, not Ferris
- 1:21:36Speaker 4: Bueller's Day Off, but Back to School. Was number four.
- 1:21:41Speaker 4: That's awesome.
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: Comedies were king back then. They were killing it back then.
- 1:21:45Speaker 4: I love that. uh sorry i have now digressed um
- 1:21:50Speaker 4: yeah the second biggest box office of 1986 that's crazy
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: love it paul hogan had no idea that this movie
- 1:21:57Speaker 4: would be a huge international success and he's quoted as
- 1:22:00Speaker 4: saying i thought i was making a nice little comedy
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: movie for australia so that's cool and he wrote it
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: i bet he made a ton of money off this
- 1:22:09Speaker 4: so much money for him Um, he, uh, Paul Hogan
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: really did walk around saying goodbye to New Yorkers during
- 1:22:16Speaker 4: his first trip to Manhattan. Well, why wouldn't he? So
- 1:22:19Speaker 4: he says, hello. Uh, Linda Koslowski is the only American
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: or was the only American on set the whole time
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: they shot in Australia's Northern territory. intriguing that makes sense
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: love it uh there were steel rubber and aluminum versions
- 1:22:37Speaker 4: of the bowie knife on set paul hogan kept one
- 1:22:40Speaker 4: of the steel knives after the movie and he has
- 1:22:42Speaker 4: promised to never sell it.
- 1:22:45Speaker 3: Love that that's great.
- 1:22:48Speaker 4: Uh the cast and crew slept in huts in a
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: nearby miners camp while shooting in the outback no that
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: wouldn't be my favorite thing uh when paul hogan gave
- 1:22:57Speaker 4: an interview i'd.
- 1:22:58Speaker 5: Be down yeah you would yeah I would.
- 1:23:01Speaker 4: But not there. There's too many snakes and scary things.
- 1:23:04Speaker 5: I don't care. Take me.
- 1:23:07Speaker 4: All right. We got to talk about that later. Is
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: everything okay? When Paul Hogan gave an interview for Crocodile
- 1:23:14Speaker 4: Dundee in Los Angeles, a movie that came out in
- 1:23:18Speaker 4: 2001 somehow, he put to the rest the myth that
- 1:23:21Speaker 4: there was a real Crocodile Dundee. He assured the interview
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: that there was not. that the idea for the character
- 1:23:27Speaker 4: came from his own head, and he admitted on a
- 1:23:31Speaker 4: trip to New York, he felt like a complete fish
- 1:23:34Speaker 4: out of water, and the idea began to form in
- 1:23:36Speaker 4: his head. Which is interesting, because there's also trivia that
- 1:23:40Speaker 4: says this was based on a different person, so I
- 1:23:43Speaker 4: don't know which is true, basically.
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: Well, I mean, I think... I think he took the
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: original story and then also came up with this fish
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: out of water.
- 1:23:56Speaker 4: Yeah. It's interesting, though, because that quote does make it
- 1:23:59Speaker 4: seem like he's like, no, I just came up with it.
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: It's like, well.
- 1:24:02Speaker 4: Kind of.
- 1:24:03Speaker 5: There's probably some folklore in Australia that's like, yeah, just
- 1:24:08Speaker 5: sitting around. I was like, that's kind of funny. Started to.
- 1:24:12Speaker 4: Also, do you guys know who wrote the or who
- 1:24:15Speaker 4: helped write the third Crocodile Dundee movie? no rob this
- 1:24:21Speaker 4: is mostly for you because it's a fantasy football guy
- 1:24:24Speaker 4: uh do you remember matthew.
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: Barry matthew barry did he.
- 1:24:28Speaker 4: Helped write the screenplay for the third.
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: One i mean he's funny yeah he was always my
- 1:24:33Speaker 3: favorite you would talk about.
- 1:24:35Speaker 4: That on there back in the day when he did
- 1:24:37Speaker 4: uh fantasy funny yeah that was always funny uh The
- 1:24:41Speaker 4: quote marks around the word crocodile in the title were
- 1:24:45Speaker 4: added for the American release to ensure people didn't think
- 1:24:48Speaker 4: that Dundee was in fact a crocodile.
- 1:24:52Speaker 3: Yeah, we wouldn't be able to figure that out.
- 1:24:54Speaker 5: Americans are dumb.
- 1:24:57Speaker 4: Yeah, they could have probably just seen a person on
- 1:25:00Speaker 4: the cover, but OK. sounds good um the film became
- 1:25:04Speaker 4: the fifth most watched film to be broadcast on british
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: television when it was shown on bbc one on december
- 1:25:11Speaker 4: 25th 1989 it attracted 21.75 million viewers and it's the
- 1:25:18Speaker 4: most it's also the most watched film to ever be
- 1:25:21Speaker 4: shown on bbc as the four films with the most
- 1:25:24Speaker 4: viewership are live and let die jaws the spy who
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: loved me and diamonds are forever crazy wow crazy all
- 1:25:34Speaker 4: right uh michael hutchins and other members of in excess
- 1:25:40Speaker 4: invested in this movie to help reduce uh paying more
- 1:25:43Speaker 4: tax in australia however the film's success meant that they
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: made millions they also provide the song a different world
- 1:25:50Speaker 4: for the soundtrack so that's funny they were trying to
- 1:25:54Speaker 4: like dump some money and oh shucks we made a
- 1:25:57Speaker 4: bunch back whoopsies feels very producers yeah Big time.
- 1:26:02Speaker 3: That's crazy. You said it right. It's members of INXS.
- 1:26:08Speaker 4: I'm surprised I remembered the right thing. It is INXS, right?
- 1:26:11Speaker 4: It is. I-N-X-S.
- 1:26:15Speaker 3: INXS.
- 1:26:16Speaker 4: INXS.
- 1:26:18Speaker 5: INXS.
- 1:26:18Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 1:26:20Speaker 4: Much like the band OINX that's out there.
- 1:26:24Speaker 3: Or REM.
- 1:26:25Speaker 4: Oh, REM. Nice, nice.
- 1:26:27Speaker 5: Oh, I hope I get some REM tonight.
- 1:26:28Speaker 4: Or who you shared a stage with, if you recall.
- 1:26:31Speaker 5: Or.
- 1:26:32Speaker 4: Was that Orr?
- 1:26:33Speaker 5: You shared a stage with Orr?
- 1:26:34Speaker 4: Of a revolution.
- 1:26:36Speaker 3: At the All-Star game? The Major League Baseball All-Star game? Twins, yeah,
- 1:26:41Speaker 3: when it was in Minneapolis.
- 1:26:43Speaker 5: Huh.
- 1:26:43Speaker 4: It was pretty cool. Pretty cool. It was fun. The
- 1:26:46Speaker 4: buffalo that Mick Dundee did not get out of the way,
- 1:26:50Speaker 4: but did pacify, was drugged. So that's fun. Sweet. Interesting. Lucky.
- 1:26:57Speaker 3: It was some good shit.
- 1:26:59Speaker 5: I think Pete is going to have a few things
- 1:27:00Speaker 5: to say about that.
- 1:27:02Speaker 4: Yeah, it's interesting. It's weird. Also, it's still in the way.
- 1:27:05Speaker 4: The New York Plaza Hotel had many complaints after this
- 1:27:08Speaker 4: movie from guests who couldn't find the bidet that had
- 1:27:12Speaker 4: baffled Dundee. I thought that was really good.
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: That's good. Where the hell's the bidet?
- 1:27:18Speaker 4: Oh, man. I've never used... I've used a bidet a
- 1:27:23Speaker 4: number of times, but I've never used a separate bidet
- 1:27:26Speaker 4: like that.
- 1:27:27Speaker 5: I don't understand the separates because I've only ever... I
- 1:27:31Speaker 5: have one on my toilet downstairs, and I love it.
- 1:27:34Speaker 4: Me too. Big bidet fan.
- 1:27:36Speaker 5: Clean butt.
- 1:27:36Speaker 4: Rob, you've got to get on this.
- 1:27:38Speaker 5: Yeah, you really do.
- 1:27:39Speaker 3: Your butt situation is so great.
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: It's a problem, and it's time.
- 1:27:44Speaker 3: We're friends.
- 1:27:45Speaker 4: It's time we talked about this.
- 1:27:46Speaker 3: You've got to get on this. Can you not talk
- 1:27:51Speaker 3: about my butt situation on here anymore? That would be great.
- 1:27:55Speaker 4: I'd really appreciate that. I mean, I can try to
- 1:27:57Speaker 4: talk about it less around you, but I'm not willing
- 1:27:59Speaker 4: to say I'll stop talking about it.
- 1:28:02Speaker 5: Yeah, because I have a whole side chain.
- 1:28:06Speaker 4: I've never said that before, and I feel weird about it.
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 1:28:10Speaker 5: I don't at all.
- 1:28:12Speaker 3: Oh, boy.
- 1:28:14Speaker 4: Do you hover over to the separate bidet? How does
- 1:28:16Speaker 4: this work?
- 1:28:17Speaker 3: You have to. I mean, you would have to. I guess.
- 1:28:20Speaker 5: I've never. It feels antiquated because I don't think that's
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: a thing anymore. I think they're all either like in
- 1:28:28Speaker 5: the toilet or.
- 1:28:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:28:30Speaker 5: I don't know. I was not exposed to it until
- 1:28:33Speaker 5: literally COVID and our friends were like, we installed a bidet.
- 1:28:38Speaker 5: And I was like, toilet paper shrapnel. I'll order one
- 1:28:41Speaker 5: on Amazon. And I did the same thing. And I've
- 1:28:42Speaker 5: had one ever since.
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: It's the best.
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: I'm not going to lie to you.
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: Someday I'm going to have one of the expensive ones.
- 1:28:48Speaker 4: One of the expensive Japanese ones.
- 1:28:51Speaker 3: Dude, when we were in Taiwan. There were so many
- 1:28:54Speaker 3: buttons on this. I've stayed in the bathroom for about
- 1:28:57Speaker 3: two hours just messing around with this thing.
- 1:29:00Speaker 4: See?
- 1:29:00Speaker 3: That they would, like, blow, like, hot air on there.
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: It was crazy, dude. Why do you think I was
- 1:29:08Speaker 3: in there so long?
- 1:29:10Speaker 4: Did you ever see that episode of New Girl where
- 1:29:12Speaker 4: she has the bidet in the rich guy's house? Yeah.
- 1:29:16Speaker 4: And the guy comes in because she's pressed it and
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: it's now spraying her and whatever and all the things.
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: And he's like, you went to four happy faces. I've
- 1:29:25Speaker 4: never gone past two. It's such a good bit. Crocodile Dundee.
- 1:29:31Speaker 4: That was all the trivia I had. Rob, did you
- 1:29:33Speaker 4: have anything?
- 1:29:35Speaker 3: I had a couple other things.
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 1:29:37Speaker 3: You kind of the the story was about the Bushman
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: Rod Ansel. Rod Ansel.
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:29:46Speaker 3: Apparently had his boat capsized during a solo hunting expedition
- 1:29:50Speaker 3: and spent two months trapped in the wilderness, survived by
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: drinking cow blood, sleeping with snakes, and occasionally fighting and
- 1:29:57Speaker 3: decapitating the odd crocodile.
- 1:29:59Speaker 4: Yikes.
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: But this guy kind of fell apart after that. After
- 1:30:05Speaker 3: Crocodile Dundee became a big success. He felt like he
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: was going insane. He was like, that is me. What
- 1:30:11Speaker 3: is happening? And it kind of ruined his whole thing.
- 1:30:14Speaker 4: I wonder if that's part of the reason Paul Hogan's like, no,
- 1:30:17Speaker 4: we didn't. We didn't do some weird that was yeah.
- 1:30:22Speaker 3: So that's not a great deal but one funny weird
- 1:30:26Speaker 3: thing is that melissa joan hart originally appeared in the
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: film as a little girl in central park who's cut
- 1:30:31Speaker 3: up cut her knee gets healed by mick uh the
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: scene was shot but ultimately deleted yeah that.
- 1:30:38Speaker 5: Is funny well yeah because she was a witch and
- 1:30:40Speaker 5: she didn't need somebody else to heal her knee.
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: Exactly right that's right yeah but that's all i had
- 1:30:46Speaker 3: love that you have anything.
- 1:30:47Speaker 5: Else nate The only, because this is the first time
- 1:30:51Speaker 5: I've actually seen it all the way through. I didn't
- 1:30:54Speaker 5: know much. Um, and I didn't just want to Google
- 1:30:58Speaker 5: the boiler plates. Cause I knew you guys would at
- 1:31:00Speaker 5: least touch on them, but one small thing for me, um,
- 1:31:05Speaker 5: which is kind of important when, uh, cause the natural
- 1:31:10Speaker 5: is one of my favorite baseball movies.
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:31:13Speaker 5: And I grew up watching it cause I played baseball
- 1:31:16Speaker 5: all the way through high school and, We would watch
- 1:31:20Speaker 5: it a lot, and it got darker the older I got.
- 1:31:24Speaker 5: But one of the cast members of one of the
- 1:31:28Speaker 5: pitchers for The Natural is the cocaine guy.
- 1:31:32Speaker 4: Oh, wild!
- 1:31:34Speaker 5: And his first role was The Natural, and he's a pitcher.
- 1:31:40Speaker 5: And it's so funny to see him in that, because.
- 1:31:45Speaker 5: It's just such, like, I haven't seen him in a
- 1:31:48Speaker 5: lot else. He's in other things, and I'm sure I've
- 1:31:51Speaker 5: actually seen him, just haven't. I saw this, and I
- 1:31:53Speaker 5: was like, oh, my gosh.
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: That's fun.
- 1:31:55Speaker 5: Barry Kibble. Yes, Barry Kibble. I have it right here.
- 1:32:01Speaker 3: That was a good bit. He gets the towel, puts
- 1:32:04Speaker 3: it over his head.
- 1:32:04Speaker 5: Waste, like, $ 500 worth of cocaine.
- 1:32:07Speaker 3: That was really fun. Just double that.
- 1:32:10Speaker 4: Yeah, that was pretty great. Yeah.
- 1:32:12Speaker 5: But I really enjoyed that because that was that was
- 1:32:15Speaker 5: a good crossover for me.
- 1:32:18Speaker 4: Yes. He's one of those guys. He's been in a
- 1:32:21Speaker 4: few things, but not. Yeah.
- 1:32:24Speaker 3: Never the guy. Well, Judgment Day, will there be a sequel?
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: We know this.
- 1:32:29Speaker 4: There's at least two. We got the two. I've never
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: seen the third one, but I have seen.
- 1:32:35Speaker 3: I don't think I don't think it's highly regarded.
- 1:32:38Speaker 4: Agreed.
- 1:32:39Speaker 5: I think it was only made on tape.
- 1:32:42Speaker 3: It's not getting an 89% from critics, probably.
- 1:32:47Speaker 4: When I saw that, I could not believe. I was like,
- 1:32:49Speaker 4: what is going on here?
- 1:32:52Speaker 3: Unbelievable. Do you guys want to play a game?
- 1:32:55Speaker 5: Yes, please.
- 1:32:57Speaker 3: I did a quotes game.
- 1:32:58Speaker 4: Oh, God.
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: So I'm going to say a quote, and then I'm
- 1:33:05Speaker 3: going to need three pieces of information from you. I'm
- 1:33:07Speaker 3: going to need the name of the movie. The name
- 1:33:11Speaker 3: of the actor who said the quote and the name
- 1:33:14Speaker 3: of the character that that actor is playing. If you
- 1:33:18Speaker 3: get any of those wrong, the other person can answer
- 1:33:21Speaker 3: it for a point. All right. All of these films
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: will have something in common. It might pertain to the
- 1:33:29Speaker 3: movie we just talked about. You can ring it at
- 1:33:31Speaker 3: any time if you know the theme. And I think
- 1:33:36Speaker 3: that's it.
- 1:33:37Speaker 4: Great.
- 1:33:38Speaker 3: Let's do it. Number one. Hey, hey, now don't you
- 1:33:44Speaker 3: tell me you don't remember me because I sure as
- 1:33:47Speaker 3: heckfire remember you. Yes, Bukes.
- 1:33:51Speaker 4: This is from Groundhog Day.
- 1:33:54Speaker 3: It is from Groundhog Day.
- 1:33:55Speaker 4: It's Ned Ryerson.
- 1:33:57Speaker 3: Ned Ryerson. Needlenose Ned, I would have accepted as well.
- 1:34:00Speaker 3: Or Ned the Head.
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: Ned the Head. Stephen Toblowski, is that his name?
- 1:34:05Speaker 3: Three. All three.
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: Bam!
- 1:34:10Speaker 5: I don't like these games.
- 1:34:11Speaker 3: Because I sure as heck fire remember you.
- 1:34:13Speaker 4: I sure as heck fire remember you.
- 1:34:14Speaker 3: Oh, so good.
- 1:34:16Speaker 4: Yeah, that's so great.
- 1:34:18Speaker 3: All right, we'll see how we do on this number two.
- 1:34:22Speaker 4: Love it.
- 1:34:23Speaker 3: Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great
- 1:34:26Speaker 3: artist can come from anywhere. It is difficult to imagine
- 1:34:30Speaker 3: more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking
- 1:34:34Speaker 3: at Gusto's, who is in this critic's opinion.
- 1:34:37Speaker 5: Fuchs. Fuchs.
- 1:34:38Speaker 4: This is Ratatouille. Ratatouille. Oh, God, I don't. His name is.
- 1:34:45Speaker 5: I think my connection is going bad.
- 1:34:46Speaker 4: I got to get out of here. It's the power line. Ego,
- 1:34:51Speaker 4: I think is the guy's name.
- 1:34:52Speaker 5: My fence is on fire.
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: It is.
- 1:34:54Speaker 3: It is Ego.
- 1:34:54Speaker 4: I don't know who the actor is, though.
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: Great actor.
- 1:34:58Speaker 4: Look at me. Look at Ego.
- 1:35:02Speaker 3: Did you ever see Ratatouille, Nate?
- 1:35:05Speaker 4: Nope. Oh, it's lovely.
- 1:35:06Speaker 3: You got to see Ratatouille.
- 1:35:07Speaker 5: I've seen parts of it.
- 1:35:09Speaker 3: You gotta watch it. Watch the story. He'll love it, dude.
- 1:35:12Speaker 3: Ratatouille is amazing. It might be my favorite Pixar.
- 1:35:17Speaker 5: I don't want to watch movies with him.
- 1:35:19Speaker 4: Oh, my. Okay. All right. What's the actor's name?
- 1:35:23Speaker 3: His name is Anton Ego is the character, but the
- 1:35:27Speaker 3: actor is the beloved Peter O'Toole.
- 1:35:32Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, of course. All right.
- 1:35:34Speaker 3: But you got two more points.
- 1:35:36Speaker 5: We're on minions right now, so.
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: Mm-mm.
- 1:35:39Speaker 3: Got you. Nice. Nate, you're going to have to be
- 1:35:42Speaker 3: real quick on this number three, okay? Get ready. Number three. Nate,
- 1:35:49Speaker 3: are you still there?
- 1:35:51Speaker 5: Sorry, what?
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: There you are.
- 1:35:52Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:35:53Speaker 3: Number three. God, I love being a turtle.
- 1:35:58Speaker 5: Bukes.
- 1:36:00Speaker 3: Bukes.
- 1:36:01Speaker 4: Ninja Turtles.
- 1:36:03Speaker 2: It is.
- 1:36:03Speaker 3: But who said it? God, I love being a turtle.
- 1:36:06Speaker 4: It's got to be Michelangelo.
- 1:36:09Speaker 3: It is Michelangelo.
- 1:36:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:36:11Speaker 3: And do you remember who played Michelangelo?
- 1:36:14Speaker 4: I knew it at one point.
- 1:36:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:36:17Speaker 4: It wasn't. Was it the dude?
- 1:36:20Speaker 5: I don't know if I know that part.
- 1:36:23Speaker 4: No, I don't remember his name.
- 1:36:25Speaker 3: He was Donnie, wasn't he? He was Donnie.
- 1:36:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:36:28Speaker 3: Corey Feldman was Donnie.
- 1:36:30Speaker 4: Feldman, yeah. I don't remember who voiced him.
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: Do you know who it was, Nate?
- 1:36:35Speaker 2: No.
- 1:36:35Speaker 3: His name is Robbie Wrist. Wrist. I would have given
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: you the guy who was moving him. His name was
- 1:36:45Speaker 3: Michelin Sisti.
- 1:36:47Speaker 4: Oh, nice. Yeah, no.
- 1:36:48Speaker 5: You didn't know that?
- 1:36:50Speaker 4: Michelin Sisti.
- 1:36:51Speaker 5: Wasn't it?
- 1:36:51Speaker 4: I have the theme, though. What is it? Movie titles
- 1:36:55Speaker 4: with an animal in it.
- 1:36:57Speaker 3: It's true. That is what it is. So maybe that'll help.
- 1:37:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:37:06Speaker 3: We'll see how this goes. Number four. Well, I guess
- 1:37:10Speaker 3: if a person never quit when the going got tough,
- 1:37:13Speaker 3: they wouldn't have anything to regret for the rest of
- 1:37:14Speaker 3: their life. But good luck to you, Peter. I'm sure
- 1:37:17Speaker 3: this decision won't haunt you forever.
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: Fuse.
- 1:37:25Speaker 3: Well, I guess if a person... Okay.
- 1:37:29Speaker 4: Spider-Man?
- 1:37:30Speaker 2: Homecoming?
- 1:37:32Speaker 3: Ooh, that's a really good guess. It's incorrect.
- 1:37:34Speaker 4: I just said... peter so i thought maybe some i
- 1:37:37Speaker 4: didn't know.
- 1:37:37Speaker 3: So nate i'll say it one more time well i
- 1:37:39Speaker 3: guess if a person never quit when the going got
- 1:37:42Speaker 3: tough they wouldn't have anything to regret for the rest
- 1:37:44Speaker 3: of their life but good luck to you peter i'm
- 1:37:47Speaker 3: sure this decision won't haunt you forever.
- 1:37:52Speaker 4: This is a i know this too.
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: Just a goofy scene in this movie i could have
- 1:37:57Speaker 3: given you so many other quotes from this movie i.
- 1:38:00Speaker 5: Know i i I feel like it's the guy who
- 1:38:09Speaker 5: played Pete in Friends. I'm totally blanking. He produced Elf.
- 1:38:15Speaker 5: And he's in Rudy. Is it a Jon Favreau movie?
- 1:38:19Speaker 3: No, but it's somebody that works with him all the time.
- 1:38:24Speaker 5: I'm like this close, but I'm not gonna get it.
- 1:38:27Speaker 3: It's dodgeball a true underdog story and that was that
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: line was from Lance Armstrong.
- 1:38:35Speaker 4: That's awesome okay I forgot about that wow that's good
- 1:38:41Speaker 4: I loved that.
- 1:38:41Speaker 3: Bit I would have thought for sure it's gonna be
- 1:38:43Speaker 3: like you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a
- 1:38:46Speaker 3: ball nobody makes me bleed my own blood yep That's
- 1:38:51Speaker 3: a great line, dude. It's pretty.
- 1:38:54Speaker 4: Fun.
- 1:38:55Speaker 5: Alright.
- 1:38:57Speaker 3: Nate, just ring in early, okay? As soon as I
- 1:38:59Speaker 3: start talking. Number five. Yes, sir, Mr.
- 1:39:03Speaker 4: Duxworth.
- 1:39:04Speaker 3: Thank you very much, Mr. Duxworth. Oh, Nate got it.
- 1:39:09Speaker 3: I heard him. Shawshank Redemption.
- 1:39:16Speaker 4: That was good. You should say the real answer. No, no, no.
- 1:39:20Speaker 4: Did you actually think that?
- 1:39:22Speaker 5: No, I got this one. I got this one. Schindler's List.
- 1:39:28Speaker 4: Quit it.
- 1:39:28Speaker 3: We're not going back to that.
- 1:39:31Speaker 5: Mighty Ducks.
- 1:39:33Speaker 4: It is Mighty Ducks.
- 1:39:34Speaker 5: Gordon Bombay.
- 1:39:35Speaker 3: Boom. By Amelia S. Vess.
- 1:39:39Speaker 4: I actually know this one. Wait, did you say it?
- 1:39:44Speaker 5: Emilia says?
- 1:39:45Speaker 3: Yeah, he said it.
- 1:39:47Speaker 4: Okay, good job.
- 1:39:49Speaker 3: We got Nate on the board.
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: Nice job.
- 1:39:50Speaker 3: You got three points. Nicely done. All right, number six.
- 1:39:56Speaker 3: That's one small step for man, one giant.
- 1:40:01Speaker 4: I have a dream! Bukes. That's great. Black sheep.
- 1:40:08Speaker 3: Black sheep is great.
- 1:40:10Speaker 4: It's Chris Farley.
- 1:40:12Speaker 3: It is indeed.
- 1:40:13Speaker 4: Damn it, we talk about his name every time.
- 1:40:18Speaker 3: I know his brother's name way better than his name.
- 1:40:20Speaker 4: I know, but we do this every time, and I'm
- 1:40:22Speaker 4: always like, yeah.
- 1:40:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:40:24Speaker 4: Hold on, hold on. Andy? Andy.
- 1:40:28Speaker 3: No, his brother's name is Al. Al, yeah. Yeah.
- 1:40:33Speaker 4: What's his last name again? Al.
- 1:40:36Speaker 3: Donnelly.
- 1:40:36Speaker 4: Donnelly.
- 1:40:38Speaker 3: Does that help?
- 1:40:39Speaker 4: Doesn't help me. Yeah.
- 1:40:40Speaker 3: Do you know the character name in Black Sheep, Nate?
- 1:40:43Speaker 5: I don't, because I get that mixed up with... I
- 1:40:47Speaker 5: love it.
- 1:40:47Speaker 4: Tell me, boy. But I get it.
- 1:40:49Speaker 5: Yeah, those two crossover too much for me.
- 1:40:51Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 1:40:52Speaker 3: They're very similar movies. His name was Mike Donnelly. Mike.
- 1:40:57Speaker 4: Someday I'm going to remember that. Someday I'm going to
- 1:40:59Speaker 4: remember it.
- 1:41:01Speaker 5: No, you won't.
- 1:41:03Speaker 3: Here's a dumb quote from this next movie that's very quotable, but...
- 1:41:08Speaker 3: Love it. Number seven.
- 1:41:09Speaker 2: People's.
- 1:41:11Speaker 3: No, uh, oh wait, was she a great big fat person?
- 1:41:15Speaker 5: Bukes. Bukes.
- 1:41:18Speaker 4: Silence of the Lambs.
- 1:41:19Speaker 3: Silence of the Lambs. Oh wait, was she a great
- 1:41:23Speaker 3: big fat person? Was she a great big fat person?
- 1:41:26Speaker 4: Uh, Buffalo Bill.
- 1:41:28Speaker 3: Uh, do you remember his real name?
- 1:41:32Speaker 4: No. He's in.
- 1:41:33Speaker 3: I mean, I'll give that to you, but yes.
- 1:41:36Speaker 5: Oh! John Johnson.
- 1:41:38Speaker 4: Oh wait, it's, uh, uh, Oh, gum, gum. Yeah.
- 1:41:44Speaker 5: Nice.
- 1:41:46Speaker 4: Yeah. I thought you meant the actor's name. Sorry.
- 1:41:49Speaker 3: No, no, no. I don't know the actor's name. Do
- 1:41:53Speaker 3: you know the actor's name, Nate?
- 1:41:56Speaker 5: Gil Robinson. Yep. Yep.
- 1:41:59Speaker 3: Gil Robinson.
- 1:41:59Speaker 4: Is that right? Wow.
- 1:42:00Speaker 3: No, it's Ted Levine.
- 1:42:02Speaker 4: Ted Levine. Was he in Monk or something?
- 1:42:04Speaker 5: That was second on my list.
- 1:42:06Speaker 4: I think it was Monk. Was he in Monk? Wasn't
- 1:42:09Speaker 4: he in like a, a serial TV show?
- 1:42:13Speaker 3: Maybe, maybe it's monk. I didn't watch monk.
- 1:42:15Speaker 4: I didn't either, but I, um, I watched a show.
- 1:42:20Speaker 3: It was him and, um, Diane Kruger.
- 1:42:23Speaker 4: That was awesome.
- 1:42:24Speaker 5: Oh, I'm not worthy.
- 1:42:25Speaker 3: And I can't, the bridge, it was called.
- 1:42:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:42:28Speaker 4: I remember you talking about that. Actually.
- 1:42:30Speaker 3: I really liked that show.
- 1:42:32Speaker 4: I never watched that show. It was good.
- 1:42:35Speaker 3: Um, I get two points.
- 1:42:36Speaker 4: All right. Sorry.
- 1:42:37Speaker 3: Two points, two points.
- 1:42:38Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:42:40Speaker 3: All right, number eight. You show me a pay stub
- 1:42:45Speaker 3: for $ 72, 000. I quit my job right now and work
- 1:42:47Speaker 3: for you. Nathan.
- 1:42:49Speaker 4: Damn it.
- 1:42:53Speaker 5: It's going to be Wolf of Wall Street.
- 1:42:55Speaker 3: Nicely done, Nate.
- 1:42:57Speaker 5: Jonah Hill.
- 1:42:58Speaker 3: Boom. What's his name?
- 1:43:01Speaker 5: I could have maybe got his first name.
- 1:43:07Speaker 3: Donnie. Nice.
- 1:43:09Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:43:10Speaker 5: Got it.
- 1:43:11Speaker 3: Can you think of his last name?
- 1:43:13Speaker 5: No.
- 1:43:14Speaker 3: I mean, you got it. It's fine. It was Donnie Azoff,
- 1:43:17Speaker 3: but nicely done.
- 1:43:18Speaker 5: That's right.
- 1:43:19Speaker 4: Points. It'd be slappy.
- 1:43:22Speaker 5: Simmons. All right.
- 1:43:25Speaker 3: Number nine. You're damn straight. It is Fox killed him.
- 1:43:31Speaker 3: Disney brought him back. They're going to make him do
- 1:43:33Speaker 3: this till he's 90. Bukes.
- 1:43:36Speaker 4: Uh, Deadpool and Wolverine? Is that the right order? I
- 1:43:41Speaker 4: always get concerned about the order.
- 1:43:42Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:43:44Speaker 4: So that was Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds.
- 1:43:46Speaker 3: Boom. Three points.
- 1:43:47Speaker 4: Also, I should know his name. Can't think of it.
- 1:43:55Speaker 3: The Deadpool character? Like the character?
- 1:43:57Speaker 4: Is that written down?
- 1:43:59Speaker 5: No.
- 1:43:59Speaker 4: Damn it. They say it so much too.
- 1:44:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. Doesn't matter. But that's fine. Doesn't matter.
- 1:44:04Speaker 3: You got three points.
- 1:44:05Speaker 4: We don't need to do it. I should write that down. Sorry.
- 1:44:07Speaker 5: What's the comedian that TJ... Miller. Miller.
- 1:44:12Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:44:14Speaker 5: I know there was some weird stuff after that movie.
- 1:44:16Speaker 4: He kind of like went off the deep end, right?
- 1:44:17Speaker 4: Or something weird?
- 1:44:19Speaker 5: I don't know who or what all happened because I
- 1:44:21Speaker 5: think his comedy is kind of funny.
- 1:44:23Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 1:44:24Speaker 5: I follow him.
- 1:44:25Speaker 3: I really liked him in the shows and movies. Yeah,
- 1:44:27Speaker 3: he's great in the movies. It sounds like he's just
- 1:44:28Speaker 3: tough to work with.
- 1:44:29Speaker 4: Yeah. That Silicon Valley.
- 1:44:31Speaker 5: I also take it with a grain of salt because
- 1:44:33Speaker 5: you don't ever know.
- 1:44:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:44:35Speaker 3: You don't ever know.
- 1:44:36Speaker 5: Like, Maybe other people were tough to work with. Yeah.
- 1:44:41Speaker 4: Well, and, like, I mean, like, I'm not saying this
- 1:44:44Speaker 4: was the case, but, right, like, Brandon Frazier got, like,
- 1:44:48Speaker 4: drummed out of the business, and only because he said, like,
- 1:44:52Speaker 4: someone was sexually assaulting him. You know what I mean? Yeah.
- 1:44:54Speaker 4: And I don't think that's what happened here, but, like,
- 1:44:57Speaker 4: you just.
- 1:44:57Speaker 5: Never know, right?
- 1:44:58Speaker 4: I mean, it's crazy.
- 1:44:59Speaker 5: It's the.
- 1:45:00Speaker 3: But, yeah.
- 1:45:00Speaker 5: We... Especially now with so many headlines, I feel like
- 1:45:05Speaker 5: you have to look at them and be like, ow.
- 1:45:08Speaker 3: I don't know. Well, Bugues, you're killing it, bro. I'm
- 1:45:13Speaker 3: going to do the number 10 just for fun. Number 10,
- 1:45:17Speaker 3: here it comes. When we die, our bodies become the
- 1:45:22Speaker 3: grass and the antelope.
- 1:45:23Speaker 4: Yes, it's Mufasa from The Lion King. Wow. James Earl Jones.
- 1:45:30Speaker 3: Nate.
- 1:45:30Speaker 4: That's incredible.
- 1:45:31Speaker 5: Mufasa from The Lion King.
- 1:45:33Speaker 4: And Deadpool's name is William Wilson. I just thought of that.
- 1:45:37Speaker 5: There's a delay.
- 1:45:37Speaker 4: Oh, nice.
- 1:45:38Speaker 5: There's a delay.
- 1:45:39Speaker 4: There's not a delay. Stop it.
- 1:45:42Speaker 3: It does seem like it. Bjerg's way to go, buddy. Oh,
- 1:45:45Speaker 3: the bonus was going to be Skadoosh.
- 1:45:49Speaker 4: Oh, nice. Kung Fu Panda.
- 1:45:51Speaker 3: Hell yeah. Jack Black as Kung Fu Panda? What's the
- 1:45:56Speaker 3: character's name?
- 1:45:57Speaker 2: No.
- 1:45:57Speaker 4: I don't know the character's name.
- 1:45:58Speaker 3: You can't think of his name?
- 1:46:01Speaker 4: No. I think I only ever saw that once.
- 1:46:04Speaker 3: Oh, dude, they have like five. You haven't watched the
- 1:46:07Speaker 3: other ones?
- 1:46:08Speaker 4: No, I really should watch them someday.
- 1:46:09Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, they're fun.
- 1:46:11Speaker 4: And I would love them, I'm sure.
- 1:46:13Speaker 3: They're a good time.
- 1:46:13Speaker 4: Skadoosh.
- 1:46:15Speaker 3: Skadoosh.
- 1:46:16Speaker 4: Way to go.
- 1:46:17Speaker 3: Mewgs is going to tell us how we do our
- 1:46:18Speaker 3: top five favorite fish out of water movies draft, but

- 1:46:36Speaker 3: We call them lessons.

- 1:46:43Speaker 3: I had such a good day.

- 1:46:52Speaker 4: Thanks for coming on, man. It's always such a blast
- 1:46:54Speaker 4: to have you.

- 1:47:12Speaker 3: Nar.
- 1:47:13Speaker 4: Nar.
- 1:47:14Speaker 5: Nar. Nar. Nar.
- 1:47:17Speaker 3: Nar.
- 1:47:18Speaker 4: Anyway, this has been a real fun podcast. Look forward
- 1:47:21Speaker 4: to more good episodes coming up. I don't know. Do
- 1:47:24Speaker 4: you know what's next, Rob? What's next?
- 1:47:27Speaker 3: Um, wait, we're doing it tomorrow. Uh, maybe Nirvana, the band,
- 1:47:30Speaker 3: the show, the movie.
- 1:47:31Speaker 4: That's right.
