In the late 1920’s and early 1930’s, Portland Oregon was home to two popular amusement parks, Jantzen Beach & Lotus Isle. Although Lotus Isle, saw short lived success, this infamous park’s history lives on. From the tragic story of a drowning and suicide to a famous circus Elephant, this amusement parks short 2 years was filled with tragedy & loss.
