Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome back in.
- 0:00Speaker 2: Hour number two, officially one week until the midterms, and
- 0:05Speaker 2: we are breaking down all the absolute latest, encouraging all
- 0:08Speaker 2: of you to get out an early vote.
- 0:11Speaker 1: I am in Nashville.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Buck is in Miami, and we are joined here in
- 0:14Speaker 2: the Nashville area studio by a man whose name I've
- 0:18Speaker 2: been mispronouncing for a long time until Buck told me
- 0:20Speaker 2: that I had been mispronouncing it. Ennis Cantor-Freedom. I've been
- 0:24Speaker 2: saying Ennis. You never actually corrected me because you're such
- 0:27Speaker 2: a nice guy. But now I am pronouncing your name correctly.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Ennis Cantor Freedom, the bravest.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Woman that I know.
- 0:35Speaker 2: We'll get into the WNBA chaos here in a moment.
- 0:39Speaker 2: But let's begin with this. You are here in town
- 0:44Speaker 2: because Marsha Blackburn is running for governor. In one week,
- 0:47Speaker 2: I am emceeing her election night party, which I expect
- 0:51Speaker 2: will lead to her becoming the governor. and tonight there
- 0:55Speaker 2: is an event going on just north of town, an
- 0:58Speaker 2: area called Hendersonville.
- 1:00Speaker 1: You're going to be there. I'm going to be there.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Marsha Blackburn is going to be there. Other congressional candidates
- 1:05Speaker 2: are going to be there. What are you planning on doing,
- 1:09Speaker 2: and what do you expect to see tonight?
- 1:10Speaker 3: So around five years ago, when I got kicked out
- 1:12Speaker 3: of the NBA because of China's Communist Party, she was
- 1:15Speaker 3: actually the first person that reached out to me, and
- 1:18Speaker 3: that meant a lot to me. Even my own teammates,
- 1:21Speaker 3: you know, just what? disappeared, you know, she was the
- 1:24Speaker 3: first person that reached out and that meant a lot
- 1:27Speaker 3: to me. And now when she reached out and say, Hey,
- 1:29Speaker 3: would you like to come to Tennessee and do a
- 1:32Speaker 3: rally with me?
- 1:32Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm in.
- 1:34Speaker 3: I mean, at this point, she's like a family. And
- 1:36Speaker 3: we definitely need a leader that is going to keep
- 1:41Speaker 3: men out of women's locker room, women's shower, and women's bathroom.
- 1:45Speaker 1: That's a crazy thing that you need to say. But
- 1:47Speaker 1: I want to go back.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Some of this audience may not know your story and
- 1:51Speaker 2: what happened as it pertains to China. You're from Turkey.
- 1:55Speaker 2: You are an NBA first-round draft pick. And you did
- 1:59Speaker 2: what that upset China, that Marsha Blackburn, senator from Tennessee,
- 2:02Speaker 2: reached out to you.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Right.
- 2:03Speaker 3: So I started to talk about the human rights violations
- 2:06Speaker 3: in China. And literally less than 24 hours, they stopped
- 2:13Speaker 3: showing every Boston Celtics game on Chinese television.
- 2:16Speaker 1: You were playing for the Celtics at the time.
- 2:17Speaker 2: You call out the China human rights violations and China
- 2:20Speaker 2: shuts down the Boston Celtics.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Literally less than a day. And then, obviously, NBA started
- 2:24Speaker 3: to lose millions of dollars because Boston Celtics is one
- 2:27Speaker 3: of the biggest teams in NBA. And then many of
- 2:31Speaker 3: my teammates said, listen, man, this is your last year
- 2:34Speaker 3: in NBA.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Have fun. Enjoy it.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Let's hope that we win a championship because you're not
- 2:38Speaker 3: going to play basketball ever again. And then a few
- 2:41Speaker 3: months later, during the trade deadline, they traded me to
- 2:44Speaker 3: Houston Rockets and then released me in less than three minutes.
- 2:47Speaker 3: And after I got released, none of my teammates or coaches,
- 2:52Speaker 3: which I played 11 years in NBA, I had hundreds
- 2:54Speaker 3: of teammates, they didn't reach out. So I was sitting
- 2:59Speaker 3: at home. I started to question myself. I'm like, did
- 3:01Speaker 3: I do something wrong, right? That's when Senator Marsha reached
- 3:05Speaker 3: out to me and said, hey, we know what you're doing.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Would you like to come on my show to talk
- 3:10Speaker 3: about it so you can bring more awareness? Even that
- 3:13Speaker 3: five-minute phone call meant so much to me. I'm like, wow,
- 3:17Speaker 3: a senator now has my back. In the last five years,
- 3:21Speaker 3: she's been really helping with many things. And I think
- 3:25Speaker 3: it's time for me to just pay that respect back.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Appreciate you being with us, Enes.
- 3:32Speaker 4: And I've already told Clay that my money is still
- 3:36Speaker 4: on you if you guys play horse at his house
- 3:39Speaker 4: in the backyard. even if you can only shoot jump
- 3:42Speaker 4: shots left-handed. But I think you'll probably still be able
- 3:45Speaker 4: to come out on top of that one.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I appreciate that.
- 3:47Speaker 4: But speaking about the basketball world, you have been very
- 3:53Speaker 4: open about the fact that you would be willing to–
- 3:56Speaker 4: I don't even know if you have any particular pay requirements,
- 3:59Speaker 4: but willing to be a WNBA player who would just
- 4:05Speaker 4: do her absolute best to break all the scoring titles
- 4:08Speaker 4: and records and everything else– And yet somehow the WNBA
- 4:13Speaker 4: has decided you are ineligible. We are curious here on
- 4:17Speaker 4: the program, on what grounds have you, a proud and
- 4:22Speaker 4: outspoken self-declared woman, been denied from the WNBA draft?
- 4:29Speaker 3: So congressional letters have been sent to WNBA. We were
- 4:33Speaker 3: just asking about, you know, what is a woman? We
- 4:37Speaker 3: finally heard back from them. they said, well, Enes cannot
- 4:41Speaker 3: play because he's a man.
- 4:44Speaker 1: So we've been.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Asking this question to Commissioner Kathy Engelbert, what is a woman, right?
- 4:50Speaker 3: She's been hiding behind a task force, which we have
- 4:53Speaker 3: no idea what people are.
- 4:54Speaker 2: They have put together a task force to try to
- 4:57Speaker 2: determine what a woman is. For people out there who
- 4:59Speaker 2: don't know, this is real in the WNBA. Yet they
- 5:02Speaker 2: have been able to tell you. Yeah, but I can't
- 5:06Speaker 2: believe this is the world that we live in. That
- 5:07Speaker 2: can't be real. Yet they can tell you that you
- 5:10Speaker 2: are a man, but they can't tell us what a
- 5:13Speaker 2: woman is.
- 5:13Speaker 1: So my question is, she can.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Identify what is a man, but when we ask, hey, what.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Is a woman? No answer. Yeah.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Which is a shame, you know? I'm just very shocked, man,
- 5:24Speaker 3: because if the NBA commissioner tomorrow comes out and say, hey,
- 5:28Speaker 3: we don't know what is a man, I promise there will.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Be an outrage. There will be a lockout the next day.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Yeah. I cannot believe these women, right, these ladies are
- 5:35Speaker 3: just not taking this personal and says, we have a commissioner,
- 5:39Speaker 3: we have a boss that cannot even define what my
- 5:42Speaker 3: gender is. And this is unacceptable. So... Um, it's a shame, man, um,
- 5:47Speaker 3: that she can say I'm a man then, but she
- 5:49Speaker 3: cannot define what is a woman.
- 5:51Speaker 2: And you are wearing for people who are not watching
- 5:53Speaker 2: the video, encourage you to go watch the YouTube channel,
- 5:56Speaker 2: a shirt that says define woman or.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Let me play. Exactly.
- 6:01Speaker 2: So you have declared for the WNBA draft. It is
- 6:04Speaker 2: in April. Are you prepared to sue, to argue that
- 6:08Speaker 2: you are eligible? What's, where do you see this going now?
- 6:11Speaker 1: So, um, The most simple thing, everything, all this madness
- 6:15Speaker 1: can end tomorrow.
- 6:17Speaker 2: If they would just say only women are allowed in
- 6:19Speaker 2: the WNBA, you would drop out.
- 6:21Speaker 3: All I'm asking is to add the word biological in
- 6:24Speaker 3: your collective bargain, and I promise you will not hear
- 6:26Speaker 3: from me ever again. But if not, I have every
- 6:28Speaker 3: right to pursue for the draft, which I already did.
- 6:32Speaker 3: And a lot of people are asking me, like, would
- 6:34Speaker 3: you sue them, right? I'm actually like a very nice guy.
- 6:37Speaker 3: They're already losing millions of dollars, right? I don't want
- 6:39Speaker 3: to bring a lawsuit and they're going to lose more money, everything.
- 6:44Speaker 3: But if it comes down to that, I think the
- 6:47Speaker 3: WMA should definitely be held accountable for their action.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Enes, what do you think is the real reason? behind their,
- 6:58Speaker 4: because as you're pointing out, you're doing this for a purpose.
- 7:00Speaker 4: I mean, I have seen, especially because Clay retweets some
- 7:03Speaker 4: of the, you know, the back and forth that you
- 7:05Speaker 4: have and he has with other people in the sports
- 7:07Speaker 4: world about this. I don't know if some of the
- 7:09Speaker 4: people are just too stupid, quite honestly, to understand what
- 7:11Speaker 4: you're doing or if they're pretending not to understand. But
- 7:14Speaker 4: you are making a principled point. You're not looking for
- 7:17Speaker 4: a payday to be the best, highest paid WNBA player.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Like you're trying to actually protect women's sports. And yet
- 7:26Speaker 4: it seems like there is a willingness. I mean, you're
- 7:29Speaker 4: already saying this from the WNBA to. really digging deep
- 7:33Speaker 4: on this, not just for the bad press, but maybe
- 7:36Speaker 4: even to start to hurt their bottom line and lose money,
- 7:38Speaker 4: which they can scarcely afford to do.
- 7:41Speaker 1: So why are they doing it? It's so easy to
- 7:43Speaker 1: fix this. Why can't they just say, yeah, obviously biological.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Women are all that we can have playing in the
- 7:50Speaker 4: Women's National Basketball Association.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Right.
- 7:53Speaker 3: So I actually asked this question to some of my
- 7:57Speaker 3: former colleagues, NBA players. I was like, listen, why? They said, well,
- 8:02Speaker 3: there's so much money on the line, and also they're
- 8:04Speaker 3: scared of the cancel culture. Listen, of course, these WNBA players,
- 8:10Speaker 3: they don't want a male coming to their league because
- 8:13Speaker 3: they know they're going to take their minutes. You're going
- 8:16Speaker 3: to take their money, take their endorsement deals, and take
- 8:18Speaker 3: their dignity. They cannot compete against us, and everyone knows that.
- 8:22Speaker 3: But when it comes to the media, they just cannot
- 8:25Speaker 3: say it out loud because they know they're going to
- 8:27Speaker 3: face a lot of backlash. I mean, cancel culture is
- 8:31Speaker 3: really in America. They're going to face that as well.
- 8:34Speaker 3: So it's a shame, man. They're putting their money and
- 8:39Speaker 3: business over their morals, values, and principles, and someone has
- 8:43Speaker 3: to call them out.
- 8:44Speaker 2: How many points do you think you would score if
- 8:47Speaker 2: you got to play in a WNBA game?
- 8:49Speaker 3: I mean, I'm watching the finals, right? Which is, I mean,
- 8:54Speaker 3: two best teams in a WNBA. I promise you, man,
- 8:56Speaker 3: I'm going to go out there and try to break
- 8:58Speaker 3: Will Chamberlain's 100 points record.
- 9:00Speaker 1: You think you could score 100 points? 100% yes.
- 9:02Speaker 2: In a WNBA game. Okay, now they won't let you
- 9:07Speaker 2: watch the games. You got kicked out of a regular
- 9:10Speaker 2: season game. Then you had tickets to go and sit
- 9:13Speaker 2: and watch. the, uh, the additional play, the NBA, WNBA finals.
- 9:19Speaker 2: What happened then in Atlanta?
- 9:21Speaker 1: Oh my goodness.
- 9:22Speaker 3: So first of all, I paid thousands of dollars. I
- 9:24Speaker 3: think I bought two courtside tickets. It was close to $ 15, 000.
- 9:28Speaker 3: And I'm like, I'm helping you all, but I'm the
- 9:31Speaker 3: one paying these $ 7, 500.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Per ticket for you to say courtside. So you bought
- 9:36Speaker 2: two courtside tickets.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Courtside tickets, right?
- 9:39Speaker 3: I walked in the arena and there was like the,
- 9:42Speaker 3: The moment I walked in, I see like the police
- 9:44Speaker 3: officers was just waiting for me there. I get close
- 9:47Speaker 3: to the gate and I promise you there was seven
- 9:49Speaker 3: police officers just surrounded me. And I turn around, I'm like,
- 9:52Speaker 3: listen guys, I have the ultimate respect for you guys
- 9:55Speaker 3: and thank you for your service. But I have every
- 9:57Speaker 3: right to enter the arena and sit on the seat
- 10:00Speaker 3: that I purchased.
- 10:01Speaker 1: You purchased yourself two tickets. You just want to go
- 10:04Speaker 1: watch the game.
- 10:04Speaker 3: They said, well, you are too big of a threat.
- 10:08Speaker 3: For that reason, we're going to put you up there
- 10:10Speaker 3: in the suite. And if you don't want that, you
- 10:13Speaker 3: have your freedom.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Wait, I'm sorry. I couldn't understand that, Ennis. You're a
- 10:18Speaker 1: public safety threat? Yes.
- 10:20Speaker 3: So I'm the one getting thousands of death threats, right?
- 10:23Speaker 3: But I promise you, they treated me like a criminal.
- 10:27Speaker 1: I looked around. I'm like, we have seven police officers
- 10:30Speaker 1: around me. And I'm like trying to see like, what
- 10:32Speaker 1: did I do wrong? They wouldn't let you go to
- 10:34Speaker 1: your seat.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Nope. They said, you're either going to go to suite
- 10:37Speaker 3: that we, and they said, we're going to put a
- 10:39Speaker 3: police in front.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Of your door.
- 10:41Speaker 3: So everywhere I go, I have to be watched by
- 10:43Speaker 3: the police and see where I'm, where am I going?
- 10:45Speaker 3: What am I doing? I'm like this at this point.
- 10:47Speaker 2: These are just to, just to clarify, these are actual
- 10:50Speaker 2: police or they're security guards in the actual police, actual police.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Yes. Yeah.
- 10:55Speaker 3: So at that point, I'm like, I listen, I didn't
- 10:57Speaker 3: do anything wrong. I would like to sit on my,
- 10:59Speaker 3: I'm not going to go in a prison box, you know.
- 11:01Speaker 3: You guys trying to put me in this like little
- 11:03Speaker 3: box and you guys have to watch me and put
- 11:05Speaker 3: up police in front of my suite. I'm like, this
- 11:07Speaker 3: is unacceptable. I would like to go to my seat
- 11:09Speaker 3: and whatever. I'm like, they're like, listen, there's no way
- 11:12Speaker 3: you're going to enter the arena. You can't leave then.
- 11:16Speaker 3: And they escorted me out.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Who gave this order?
- 11:20Speaker 3: So 45 minutes, so 45 minutes before the game, We
- 11:24Speaker 3: got a call from the NBA security. Now the NBA
- 11:27Speaker 3: is involved as well. And they said, listen, you're not
- 11:31Speaker 3: going to be able to enter the arena. We have
- 11:34Speaker 3: a suite for you. So if you would like to
- 11:36Speaker 3: just go to suite, you're more welcome to come. If not,
- 11:40Speaker 3: then you're not allowed to be in the arena.
- 11:44Speaker 1: What happens to your tickets then? So I don't know.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Nobody sat in those seats. Exactly. I don't know. $ 15, 000
- 11:50Speaker 1: on those seats and they would not allow you to
- 11:53Speaker 1: use them.
- 11:53Speaker 3: And they didn't even return money back. That's the crazy thing. Um, no, it's,
- 11:58Speaker 3: it's been crazy, man. I mean, I, how did they
- 11:59Speaker 3: know you were coming? So we let the, because I
- 12:03Speaker 3: was getting a lot of death threats, we let the
- 12:05Speaker 3: FBI know. And also, I didn't want them to, like,
- 12:09Speaker 3: be surprised. I told them, like, listen, I'm just going
- 12:11Speaker 3: to come there. I would like to peacefully watch the game.
- 12:14Speaker 3: I don't want no drama. I don't want to cause
- 12:16Speaker 3: any trouble. So they knew I was coming. Because I
- 12:19Speaker 3: didn't want them to be like, well, he's doing.
- 12:21Speaker 1: It on purpose. Or he's trying to sneak in. Exactly. Yeah.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I told them, like, hey, man, I'm coming. Can you
- 12:27Speaker 1: believe this buck?
- 12:28Speaker 4: This is outrageous. Honestly, this is even crazier than I
- 12:31Speaker 4: thought it would be. I'm also wondering, Ennis, if these
- 12:34Speaker 4: death threats, which you've been getting, is it obviously these
- 12:38Speaker 4: are very emotionally unstable people who are doing something very
- 12:43Speaker 4: wrong and very stupid. But do they say that this
- 12:45Speaker 4: is to protect trans rights? On what basis are you getting?
- 12:50Speaker 4: I assume it's all about your stance on this WNBA issue.
- 12:53Speaker 4: But is it men who are really pro women saying
- 12:57Speaker 4: they're men? Who is doing this?
- 12:59Speaker 1: Who's threatening to kill you so far as you can tell?
- 13:02Speaker 3: I don't know if you can see this or not.
- 13:05Speaker 3: I don't know if we can zoom in on that. Okay,
- 13:07Speaker 3: so I'll read it to you. He said, I wish
- 13:12Speaker 3: he got Charlie Kirk during this video. So my DMs
- 13:15Speaker 3: are full of pictures and videos of the moment that
- 13:17Speaker 3: Charlie Kirk got shot. And they're saying that you're next.
- 13:21Speaker 4: So it's explicitly political trans.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. Yes.
- 13:25Speaker 3: I mean, so this is unacceptable, man. And, you know,
- 13:27Speaker 3: from day one, I said this, listen, I am not anti-trans.
- 13:30Speaker 3: I'm not anti-LGBTQ. You have all these rights, right? But
- 13:35Speaker 3: I am just pro-woman. There's a huge difference between two things. But, no,
- 13:39Speaker 3: I've been getting a lot of threats, man. And I
- 13:42Speaker 3: fight against China.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Right.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Chinese Communist Party. This is nothing compared to, you know,
- 13:48Speaker 3: the threats that I'm getting from.
- 13:50Speaker 2: And you have I mean, just so people know, you
- 13:52Speaker 2: have you're in my studio right now. You've got armed security.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Yes.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Like you have to now travel with security because of
- 13:59Speaker 2: the threats that you're getting from the trans community for
- 14:02Speaker 2: simply saying men should not be able to compete in
- 14:05Speaker 2: women's sport.
- 14:06Speaker 1: No, everywhere we go.
- 14:07Speaker 3: We had a conversation with the FBI and everywhere I go,
- 14:09Speaker 3: I have to let FBI know where I'm going, everywhere
- 14:12Speaker 3: I go, you know.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Just absolutely insane.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Well, Ennis, you're a principled man as well as a
- 14:20Speaker 4: great athlete. So we appreciate you being with us here.
- 14:22Speaker 4: And it's great that you're spending some time with Senator Blackburn.
- 14:26Speaker 4: We're a big fan of hers. And thank you and
- 14:29Speaker 4: come back anytime and keep us in the loop on
- 14:31Speaker 4: how things are going and just stay safe out there.
- 14:34Speaker 1: I appreciate that, man. That means a lot.

- 15:51Speaker 4: that I am not a frequent flyer of Texas Roadhouse
- 15:56Speaker 4: or the Olive Garden, okay? But at least I'm honest
- 15:59Speaker 4: with all of you.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I am who I am. Kevin in New York, be
- 16:03Speaker 1: on the talkbacks, hit it.
- 16:07Speaker 5: Did I hear Buck correctly?
- 16:08Speaker 2: Did he just say he's never been to a cheesecake factory?
- 16:12Speaker 5: And he's also never been to Home Depot. Do we
- 16:14Speaker 5: even know if this guy's.
- 16:15Speaker 1: A real American?
- 16:17Speaker 4: Excuse me, sir. I have been to Home Depot once recently.
- 16:23Speaker 4: So there's that. But yes, no, I had not been
- 16:27Speaker 4: to the... I had not been to the Cheesecake Factory.
- 16:31Speaker 4: Matt in South Carolina. Clay's coming in for a little
- 16:35Speaker 4: bit of fire from Matt in South Carolina.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Go for it.
- 16:37Speaker 5: Yeah, Buck, don't feel too bad, man.
- 16:40Speaker 4: I'm not some fluty Yankee that eats a pistachio custard,
- 16:44Speaker 4: and I've still never been to Olive Garden or Texas Roadhouse.
- 16:47Speaker 6: As much as Clay likes T & A, I'm surprised he.
- 16:50Speaker 5: Hadn't mentioned Hooters. He seems like a Hooters guy to me,
- 16:53Speaker 5: which I've only been there once in my life.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Clay.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Matt in South Carolina says he thinks you're a Hooters guy,
- 17:00Speaker 4: whether you'll admit it or not.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I haven't been to a Hooters in a while. I
- 17:05Speaker 1: don't think I can. I don't think. Yeah, I think
- 17:06Speaker 1: we've lost Clay temporarily in the mic here. So we'll
- 17:08Speaker 1: get back.
- 17:09Speaker 4: Clay, we'll bring that back here shortly. I think the
- 17:12Speaker 4: live in studio has thrown us off a little bit.
- 17:15Speaker 4: And then we have D. Will in New York listens
- 17:18Speaker 4: on 710 WOR.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Hit it.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Clay, why are you surprised that Buck has never been
- 17:22Speaker 2: to a Texas roadhouse?
- 17:24Speaker 1: The boy grew up in Manhattan. He's used to fine dining,
- 17:27Speaker 1: you know.
- 17:30Speaker 4: I did do a fair amount of Michelin-recommended and Michelin-starred
- 17:34Speaker 4: dining growing up, I'm not going to lie. I think
- 17:36Speaker 4: I spent all my disposable income until about age 35
- 17:40Speaker 4: on rent, which is very high in New York and
- 17:43Speaker 4: in Washington, D.C., where I lived, and food. So, yeah, no,
- 17:47Speaker 4: I like good food. I will say the team tends
- 17:50Speaker 4: to put me in charge of restaurant selection when we're
- 17:51Speaker 4: on the road.
- 17:52Speaker 1: It's a smart move. It's a smart move. They never
- 17:55Speaker 1: regret it.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Election Day is a week from today. You're going to
- 17:58Speaker 4: have to get some energy in the final stretch.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Well, Chalk helps with that.

- 18:54Speaker 1: Welcome back in to.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Clay and Buck. We're going to bring you to the
- 18:57Speaker 4: front lines of... Battlefield, Kansas, my friends. We are now
- 19:03Speaker 4: joined by incumbent Republican senator and doctor as an actual physician, M.D., etc.,
- 19:10Speaker 4: Roger Marshall. Senator Marshall, thanks.
- 19:13Speaker 1: For joining us. We know you're on the road. You
- 19:14Speaker 1: are going around.
- 19:15Speaker 4: Seeing the great people of your state. Bring us right
- 19:19Speaker 4: into the action. It's a week from Election Day. What
- 19:21Speaker 4: are you seeing?
- 19:22Speaker 1: What are you hearing?
- 19:23Speaker 5: What are the closing arguments, sir? Yeah, Clayton Buck, it's
- 19:27Speaker 5: great to be with you.
- 19:28Speaker 6: This will turn out to be all about election turnout.
- 19:32Speaker 6: Right now, the Democrats are coming out early voting like
- 19:36Speaker 6: the president is on a ballot.
- 19:38Speaker 5: We need those Trump voters to come out as well.
- 19:41Speaker 6: There's 175,000 people in Kansas that only vote when President
- 19:46Speaker 6: Trump is on the ticket, and he's on the ticket. Look,
- 19:49Speaker 6: if you're a person out there that wants to make
- 19:51Speaker 6: America great again, if you want an American first agenda,
- 19:55Speaker 6: we cannot turn over the Senate to Chuck Schumer to, uh,
- 19:59Speaker 6: to Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. That's what this is
- 20:02Speaker 6: all about. It's going to be really close on who
- 20:05Speaker 6: keeps control of the Senate. If we lose Kansas, we
- 20:08Speaker 6: give Chuck Schumer control. That's going to give us open borders,
- 20:11Speaker 6: higher taxes, and a weak military. It's that simple.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Senator Marshall, we've been telling everybody to get out and
- 20:18Speaker 2: vote early. How commonplace is early voting in your state,
- 20:22Speaker 2: and what would you tell people they should know and
- 20:25Speaker 2: should do as we sit here one week from Election Day?
- 20:29Speaker 5: Well, again, the Democrats are out and voting.
- 20:32Speaker 6: There's a group of people, I don't know if it's 35%
- 20:35Speaker 6: or so, Democrats hate President Trump.
- 20:38Speaker 5: So those people have already voted. It's a protest vote.
- 20:42Speaker 6: It's equally as important that President Trump's people that support
- 20:45Speaker 6: his agenda, that support Secure borders, a strong military.
- 20:49Speaker 5: Lower taxes.
- 20:50Speaker 6: Those folks need to get out and vote. Otherwise, we
- 20:54Speaker 6: end up with open borders and amnesty. My opponent openly
- 20:58Speaker 6: supports all those things. This is a guy who Barack
- 21:02Speaker 6: Obama is his idol. This is a guy who said
- 21:05Speaker 6: he's in favor of open borders. of amnesty, a guy
- 21:08Speaker 6: that's out there protesting against police. He's the person out
- 21:12Speaker 6: there that cries when President Trump took down Joe Biden's
- 21:15Speaker 6: orders on transgender. So most importantly, if we don't want
- 21:20Speaker 6: to turn over control of the Senate to Chuck Schumer,
- 21:23Speaker 6: we need traditional Republicans, Trump supporters to get out there
- 21:26Speaker 6: and vote.
- 21:28Speaker 4: Senator Marshall, I know you are obviously laser focused on
- 21:31Speaker 4: your race, as you should be. And as we can see,
- 21:33Speaker 4: the lovely Kansas countryside there.
- 21:36Speaker 1: In the background.
- 21:38Speaker 4: But I wanted to get your opinion on something because
- 21:41Speaker 4: you were a practicing medical.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Doctor, an MD. I believe you were an OBGYN.
- 21:47Speaker 4: What do you think about the muted media coverage, but
- 21:52Speaker 4: it is out there, of Abdul El-Sayed up in Michigan
- 21:56Speaker 4: who's also running as a Democrat for the Senate seat.
- 21:58Speaker 4: I'm sure you're well aware of that race, a very
- 22:00Speaker 4: tight one, calling himself a physician all the time, but
- 22:03Speaker 4: never actually doing a residency or practicing medicine. What's your
- 22:06Speaker 4: take on that?
- 22:07Speaker 1: Well, it's an.
- 22:08Speaker 6: Insult to my profession is what it is. What type
- 22:11Speaker 6: of a person goes to med school and then doesn't
- 22:14Speaker 6: do a residency? It just doesn't make any sense to me.
- 22:18Speaker 6: Is he not smart enough to pass his boards? Is
- 22:20Speaker 6: that the problem? Is he not smart enough, doesn't want
- 22:22Speaker 6: to work hard enough to go through a four or
- 22:24Speaker 6: five year residency? residency like that, he certainly should not
- 22:27Speaker 6: be ever touching or seeing a patient. Maybe we should
- 22:31Speaker 6: look to see if he even has a license. But look,
- 22:33Speaker 6: I'm really insulted. But even more concerning to me, though,
- 22:37Speaker 6: are his radical policies. And that right now, the Democrats
- 22:41Speaker 6: have the tail wagging the dog. On the best day,
- 22:44Speaker 6: Democrats are what? Big government socialists. But they're being ran
- 22:48Speaker 6: by this far, far, far left. You want to know
- 22:50Speaker 6: what folks in Kansas are concerned about? It's radical Islam.
- 22:54Speaker 6: And we don't want those open borders and his El
- 22:56Speaker 6: Saeed's policies of radical Islam coming to rest in the
- 22:59Speaker 6: state of Kansas.
- 23:01Speaker 2: I think this is really important, and I know many
- 23:04Speaker 2: of our listeners know it already, but When these middle-of-the-road
- 23:10Speaker 2: guys claim that they're going to represent a state like
- 23:13Speaker 2: Kansas in an independent fashion, what they're really telling you
- 23:18Speaker 2: is not what they're going to do, which is they're
- 23:21Speaker 2: going to be far left and they're going to be
- 23:23Speaker 2: radical in the way that they represent.
- 23:25Speaker 1: A state like Kansas.
- 23:27Speaker 2: How important is it for voters out there in your
- 23:30Speaker 2: state to understand, look, if this were an actual fight
- 23:34Speaker 2: that people were having where the Democrat says what the
- 23:36Speaker 2: Democrat truly believes and the Republican says what the Republican
- 23:40Speaker 2: truly believes, this is not a remotely close contest in Kansas.
- 23:45Speaker 2: People are getting snookered here. I think it's fair.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I want you to dive in and explain that as well.
- 23:51Speaker 6: Thanks so much, yes. So my opponent is actually a
- 23:54Speaker 6: radical liberal. All you have to do is look at
- 23:56Speaker 6: his track record. This is a guy, the pastor of
- 24:00Speaker 6: the biggest Methodist church in the country, but he split
- 24:03Speaker 6: the church.
- 24:03Speaker 5: He says he's a uniter, but he divided.
- 24:06Speaker 6: One-fourth of the Methodist churches left the denomination because of
- 24:09Speaker 6: his woke ideology.
- 24:11Speaker 5: This is a guy that won't let you call children
- 24:13Speaker 5: in church boys or girls.
- 24:15Speaker 6: He has a list of accepted nouns and pronouns for children.
- 24:20Speaker 6: It's because of him, the second biggest Methodist church in
- 24:23Speaker 6: the country just left that denomination, the church down on
- 24:26Speaker 6: SMU campus in that area as well.
- 24:31Speaker 5: But it is a skins and shirts church. exercise eventually.
- 24:35Speaker 6: If he would win, Chuck Schumer becomes the majority leader
- 24:38Speaker 6: and they set the stage.
- 24:40Speaker 5: They decide what we vote on, what we don't vote on.
- 24:44Speaker 6: And look, every Senate Democrat voted against voter ID. They
- 24:47Speaker 6: voted against a farm bill. They voted against securing the border.
- 24:52Speaker 6: They voted against the military as well. They voted against
- 24:55Speaker 6: tax cuts. That's who the Democrats are, so they can
- 24:57Speaker 6: say one thing during the election, but when they get
- 25:00Speaker 6: up there, Chuck Schumer's going to cut their knees off
- 25:03Speaker 6: if they don't vote with him. They'll never be on
- 25:05Speaker 6: a committee of importance. He'll never help them again financially
- 25:09Speaker 6: as well. Chuck Schumer is funding this guy's election. He's
- 25:12Speaker 6: giving him $ 25 or $ 30 million. We're trying to run
- 25:15Speaker 6: a campaign on $ 5 million. So this guy will be
- 25:19Speaker 6: bought and paid for by Chuck Schumer. And the radical
- 25:21Speaker 6: liberal Democrats. That was my question for you were speaking
- 25:24Speaker 6: to Senator Marshall, by the way. And we have a
- 25:27Speaker 6: robust Kansas audience, guys. You got to make sure you
- 25:29Speaker 6: get out and vote. Very, very important. You don't want
- 25:32Speaker 6: Clay to have to shame you for non-voting. You need
- 25:34Speaker 6: to get out there and vote.
- 25:35Speaker 1: He's he's Clay is like Santa Claus.
- 25:37Speaker 4: He knows who's been naughty and nice or nice when
- 25:40Speaker 4: it comes to voting time. So you guys got to
- 25:42Speaker 4: get out there and vote. But on the money dynamic,
- 25:44Speaker 4: because that's obviously something that, as I've been following this race, Senator,
- 25:47Speaker 4: really stands out. I'm going to guess that the tens
- 25:51Speaker 4: of millions of dollars that your woke pastor opponent has
- 25:55Speaker 4: raised have not all come from Topeka.
- 26:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Yeah, no, no.
- 26:01Speaker 5: The super majority of his funding will be outside dollars.
- 26:04Speaker 5: And they always are.
- 26:06Speaker 6: I don't know how the Democrats do it. We could
- 26:08Speaker 6: talk about that someday. But they can raise more in
- 26:10Speaker 6: six months than I can raise in six years. And
- 26:13Speaker 6: we worked hard at raising the $ 4 or $ 5 million that.
- 26:16Speaker 5: We did raise.
- 26:17Speaker 6: But they're able to raise that in a matter of
- 26:19Speaker 6: 90 days. We'll be outspent just like we were six
- 26:22Speaker 6: years ago, 5 to 1, 10 to 1, somewhere in there.
- 26:26Speaker 5: We'll spend $ 5 million.
- 26:27Speaker 6: They're going to spend $ 40 or $ 50 million.
- 26:29Speaker 5: We were expecting this.
- 26:32Speaker 6: But hardworking Kansans understand what's at stake, that if we
- 26:35Speaker 6: would elect Adam Hamilton, that would put Chuck Schumer in control.
- 26:38Speaker 6: That means open borders, higher taxes, and a weak military.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I said that I am looking at the numbers, and Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska,
- 26:48Speaker 2: I'm very confident in. How confident are you as we
- 26:52Speaker 2: sit here one week out?
- 26:55Speaker 6: Well, look, I'm running like we're down three points. You know,
- 26:58Speaker 6: the polls haven't even. We're going to assume the polls
- 27:00Speaker 6: are right. I can't take anything for granted. And none
- 27:04Speaker 6: of your listeners can take anything for granted. Right now,
- 27:07Speaker 6: early voting, like I said, the Senate, excuse me, the
- 27:11Speaker 6: Democrats are out like it's a general election for a president.
- 27:15Speaker 6: And the Republicans are kind of dragging our feet here.
- 27:17Speaker 6: So I'm asking Republicans to get out there and vote.
- 27:21Speaker 6: You can vote early. Every place across the state is
- 27:24Speaker 6: open now. I love in-person voting on Election Day. But
- 27:27Speaker 6: if you're in town anyway, you're a farmer and you
- 27:29Speaker 6: happen to be in town today or tomorrow, pop into
- 27:32Speaker 6: the courthouse and go in there and vote.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Outstanding stuff.
- 27:37Speaker 2: We encourage all of you get out there early, get
- 27:40Speaker 2: out there and vote for Roger Marshall in Kansas. Keep
- 27:44Speaker 2: up the good work on the campaign trail, Senator. And
- 27:47Speaker 2: good luck one week from today when everybody finds out
- 27:50Speaker 2: what exactly is going to happen on the midterms. We're
- 27:52Speaker 2: optimistic for you, but we need Kansans to be aware
- 27:55Speaker 2: this is a real battle and they need to show up.
- 27:59Speaker 5: Thanks for playing back. Appreciate y'all. Everybody go vote.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Thanks, Doc.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Bring home the W. All right, look, we'll see plenty
- 28:06Speaker 4: of new faces in D.C. coming up here soon, hopefully
- 28:10Speaker 4: a lot more Republicans and Democrats. But, you know, no
- 28:13Speaker 4: matter what, we're not going to have a balanced budget.
- 28:16Speaker 4: We're not going to have a reasonable debt load. The
- 28:20Speaker 4: country's got some problems on the fiscal front.
- 28:22Speaker 1: You know this. I know this.
- 28:23Speaker 4: National debt's going to keep going up. politicians are going
- 28:26Speaker 4: to spend, borrow, and flood the system with more dollars.
- 28:29Speaker 4: So what does that do? Well, look, if you're 50
- 28:30Speaker 4: years or older, you don't have another 30 years to
- 28:33Speaker 4: make up for a major financial mistake. So ask yourself this.
- 28:36Speaker 4: How much of your retirement... is tied to purely paper assets,
- 28:40Speaker 4: the dollar, and decisions being made in Washington, D.C. that
- 28:43Speaker 4: you don't have any real control over. This is why
- 28:45Speaker 4: I recommend learning about owning physical gold and silver from
- 28:48Speaker 4: Lear Capital. Right now, Lear will send you a free
- 28:51Speaker 4: Precious Metals Investor Kit explaining how gold and silver can
- 28:54Speaker 4: fit into a diversified retirement strategy. Don't wait until after
- 28:58Speaker 4: the election. Don't wait for the next spending bill. Don't
- 29:00Speaker 4: wait for another round of money printing to wonder what
- 29:02Speaker 4: happened to your purchasing power. Call Lear at 800-957-GOLD. That's 800-957-G-O-L-D.

- 29:17Speaker 1: Keeping it real. Keeping it right. Clay and Buck.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Find them on the iHeart app or wherever you get
- 29:23Speaker 2: your podcasts.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Welcome back in Clay and Buck.
- 29:26Speaker 2: We are rolling through the one week away from the midterms.
- 29:31Speaker 2: The you just heard seven days until the midterm elections.
- 29:35Speaker 2: You just heard from Roger Marshall, who is one of
- 29:38Speaker 2: the uh candidates out there and he pointed out that
- 29:42Speaker 2: democrats have shown up in kansas early voting and they
- 29:47Speaker 2: are trying to put his seat in question Again, I
- 29:50Speaker 2: think that there are a lot of states out there.
- 29:53Speaker 2: I would put Texas in this camp. I would put Nebraska.
- 29:57Speaker 2: I would put Kansas. I would put Iowa in this
- 30:00Speaker 2: camp even, where Republicans have done so well over the
- 30:04Speaker 2: last 15 or 20 years that it is difficult to
- 30:08Speaker 2: understand that your seat might be in danger. And so
- 30:13Speaker 2: a lot of people have gotten used to their vote
- 30:16Speaker 2: doesn't matter that much in the grand scheme of things.
- 30:20Speaker 2: And I think just a lot of you out there
- 30:22Speaker 2: need to understand how important it is to get out
- 30:24Speaker 2: there and vote. And, Buck, we were talking, and I'm
- 30:27Speaker 2: going to continue to give you the data, not the
- 30:30Speaker 2: current poll numbers because we're a week out, but the
- 30:32Speaker 2: actual data. There are a lot of very positive signs
- 30:36Speaker 2: across many different states that there is not going to.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Be a blue wave or a blue tsunami.
- 30:44Speaker 2: But the only way to combat that is for people
- 30:47Speaker 2: who voted for President Trump in 2024 to get out
- 30:50Speaker 2: and vote. We are fortunate that most of the battlegrounds
- 30:54Speaker 2: are actually in states that Trump won by double figures. Alaska, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Texas, Ohio.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Those are places that should not be close if Republicans
- 31:06Speaker 2: do their jobs. And so if you're listening to me
- 31:09Speaker 2: in one of those states, your votes matter more than
- 31:12Speaker 2: they may have traditionally. You need to get out and
- 31:15Speaker 2: vote and you need to kind of grab your knucklehead
- 31:18Speaker 2: friends by the lapel. and say, hey, knucklehead, you're coming
- 31:22Speaker 2: with me too because it's important for you to go vote.
- 31:26Speaker 2: And I think sometimes there is a degree of comfort
- 31:30Speaker 2: when you always win. I think this is going on
- 31:33Speaker 2: in Texas. I think a lot of people just looked
- 31:35Speaker 2: at James Tallarico and said, come on. This is like
- 31:38Speaker 2: we may lose a race one day. It's not going
- 31:40Speaker 2: to be to this guy. And Democrats have lined up
- 31:43Speaker 2: and gotten behind him. And I think a lot of
- 31:45Speaker 2: people need to wake up in the in the marketplace
- 31:48Speaker 2: out there.
- 31:49Speaker 4: I think just to spice up the stakes here a
- 31:51Speaker 4: little bit, if Republicans hold the Senate, I think you
- 31:54Speaker 4: have to take me to the Cheesecake Factory in Miami Beach.
- 31:57Speaker 2: How funny is it that the last Cheesecake Factory meal
- 32:00Speaker 2: I had was in Miami Beach?
- 32:02Speaker 1: Laura and I were there. We had time to kill.
- 32:04Speaker 2: And we wanted to eat something before we headed to
- 32:06Speaker 2: the airport, and I said, we've got to get into
- 32:09Speaker 2: the Cheesecake Factory here. You know who's at the Cheesecake
- 32:11Speaker 2: Factory right now?
- 32:12Speaker 1: My mom.
- 32:13Speaker 2: My mom just texted me during the last commercial break
- 32:16Speaker 2: a picture of she and my dad going to eat
- 32:19Speaker 2: at the local Cheesecake Factory because... They loved the Cheesecake Factory.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I said that this was a place that we liked.
- 32:27Speaker 1: To go to celebrate. My parents loved chain restaurants. The
- 32:31Speaker 1: beautiful Cheesecake Factory.
- 32:32Speaker 2: I've been to every chain restaurant on the planet at
- 32:35Speaker 2: some point in time, basically, if they have a footprint
- 32:38Speaker 2: in Nashville.
- 32:39Speaker 1: But I have a question about this.
- 32:41Speaker 4: If one were to go to Red Lobster, and before
- 32:44Speaker 4: any of you ask, I've been to Red Lobster many,
- 32:46Speaker 4: many times. Not as many as our friend Jesse Kelly,
- 32:49Speaker 4: who I think might have the record for any human
- 32:52Speaker 4: being to go to Red Lobster. But I've been to
- 32:54Speaker 4: Red Lobster many times. You go to Red Lobster, you
- 32:56Speaker 4: get lobster. You go to the Cheesecake Factory, you don't
- 33:00Speaker 4: even have a split.
- 33:03Speaker 1: You don't even share the cheesecake. I'm not a cheesecake guy.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Look at that.
- 33:07Speaker 2: So that's why the Cheesecake Factory is not always my favorite.
- 33:10Speaker 2: And my mom and dad love the Cheesecake Factory. And
- 33:13Speaker 2: we've been going to the Cheesecake Factory on special occasions
- 33:17Speaker 2: for a while. And I don't remember the first Cheesecake Factory.
- 33:22Speaker 2: I think it was Green Hills Mall. For those of
- 33:24Speaker 2: you who are in the Nashville area, I think that
- 33:26Speaker 2: was the first one that opened. But now we're out
- 33:28Speaker 2: in Williamson County.
- 33:29Speaker 4: You know, there's a restaurant designation that both Cheesecake Factory
- 33:34Speaker 4: and Maggiano's Little Italy fall into.
- 33:36Speaker 1: I did not know this. Upscale Casual is what it
- 33:39Speaker 1: is called. That makes sense to me.
- 33:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Maggiano's very expensive. I like Maggiano's a lot. I like
- 33:47Speaker 2: Buca di Beppo. You ever eaten at a Buca di Beppo?
- 33:50Speaker 1: No.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Buca di Beppo is, I love Buca di Beppo. We
- 33:55Speaker 2: go there a lot because my oldest son, it's his
- 33:58Speaker 2: favorite restaurant. And it is what I would describe as
- 34:03Speaker 2: Maggiano's a little bit lower end. Maggiano's kind of high end,
- 34:07Speaker 2: kind of fancy. I'm going to be honest with you.
- 34:09Speaker 2: I'm not a huge.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Maggiano's just a little bit uppity for my taste.
- 34:13Speaker 2: And I will say that the Buca di Beppo is
- 34:19Speaker 2: pretty fantastic.
- 34:20Speaker 1: So what is your favorite of all the.
- 34:23Speaker 4: And you could throw some others into the mix. Not
- 34:25Speaker 4: fast food, not fast casual, which would be a lot
- 34:30Speaker 4: of these places that make bowls. You know, a lot
- 34:32Speaker 4: of these places, you have a bowl of whatever, and
- 34:35Speaker 4: you make it upscale casual. You only get one in
- 34:40Speaker 4: your town in the Nashville area. What is the preferred?
- 34:43Speaker 4: What is the.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Number one is tech? I've said number one is and
- 34:46Speaker 2: I'm factoring in cost. Right. Because I think you have
- 34:50Speaker 2: to factor that in. I would say Texas Roadhouse is one.
- 34:54Speaker 2: The best Italian chain restaurant, in my opinion, is Bucca
- 34:57Speaker 2: di Beppo. I don't know how many Bucas there are
- 35:00Speaker 2: out there. And then I'm going to get a little
- 35:03Speaker 2: bit specific because I don't think these are like super popular,
- 35:08Speaker 2: but they are chains. I like Stony River Steakhouse and
- 35:13Speaker 2: I like the Amerigo. Now, I don't know how many
- 35:17Speaker 2: of these there are. I know they have multiple ones
- 35:20Speaker 2: in the Nashville area. Roadhouse and Bucca are big national chains.
- 35:25Speaker 2: I also like Max and Irma's. Laura, my wife, was
- 35:29Speaker 2: actually a waitress at Max and Irma's, which is a
- 35:33Speaker 2: Midwest-based fast casual chain, I think would be one way
- 35:38Speaker 2: to describe it. Not a big Applebee's guy. Not a
- 35:42Speaker 2: big Chili's guy, although Chili's is hard to go wrong
- 35:44Speaker 2: because it's Mexican, and how do you really screw up Mexican?
- 35:47Speaker 1: So I'd probably put Chili's on the list. So P.F.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Chang's also qualifies.
- 35:52Speaker 3: P.F.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Chang's is solid.
- 35:55Speaker 4: That's a good one that I have to put on
- 35:56Speaker 4: the list. I would say, though, technically Roots Chris is
- 36:01Speaker 4: considered upstairs. I was going to say that's my favorite.
- 36:05Speaker 4: I was like, I'm a Ruth's Chris guy, but apparently
- 36:07Speaker 4: that's too schmancy.
- 36:08Speaker 2: You and Morton's and the bourbon steak, yeah, where you
- 36:10Speaker 2: have to spend $ 120 per person to.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Go eat there. Yeah, Ruth's Chris is way above the
- 36:15Speaker 1: roster here.
- 36:15Speaker 5: You make it sound.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Like Maggiano's, where we used to go for like.
- 36:19Speaker 4: happy hour when i was at langley like they were
- 36:22Speaker 4: just putting white truffle all over everything.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Magiano's a family style italian.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Joint it's an uppity place it's not bucca di beppo
- 36:30Speaker 2: is the more accessible family style italian restaurant i'm just
- 36:34Speaker 2: saying they got their nose a little bit in the
- 36:36Speaker 2: air at magiano's compared to bucca that's just the truth
- 36:40Speaker 2: uh all right you gotta go pick up a tesla right.
- 36:43Speaker 4: I'm going to pick up a Tesla. I have an
- 36:46Speaker 4: appointment with Tesla.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Driving yourself home, you're going to love this.
