- 0:06Speaker 1: Another week of Cardinals baseball officially in the books. Welcome
- 0:10Speaker 1: back to Cardinal Territory, your official Saint Louis Cardinals podcast
- 0:14Speaker 1: as part of the Foul Territory Network. I'm your host
- 0:16Speaker 1: Katie Wu breaking down a quick trip to the Queen City.
- 0:19Speaker 1: A three game road trip to Cincinnati, the Cardinals take
- 0:23Speaker 1: two of three from the Riots at Great American Ballpark.
- 0:25Speaker 1: They won the first two games, but are unable to
- 0:27Speaker 1: complete the sweep and fall seven to four on Sunday afternoon.
- 0:31Speaker 1: The Cardinals are now sixty eight and seventy, with officially
- 0:34Speaker 1: four weeks remaining in the season, which is crazy that
- 0:38Speaker 1: we are about to be in September. I feel like
- 0:40Speaker 1: the season goes by fast every year, but this one
- 0:43Speaker 1: it felt especially quick, and I'm not sure why because
- 0:46Speaker 1: it was a particularly trying season. But it always feels
- 0:49Speaker 1: a little bittersweet when September starts approaching and you know
- 0:53Speaker 1: you're likely not covering a playoff team and the end
- 0:56Speaker 1: of the season is nearing. It just, I don't know.
- 0:59Speaker 1: It always gets me. But plenty of time to be
- 1:01Speaker 1: sentimental in talk baseball. So we will start with the
- 1:05Speaker 1: big news and the big story. This series, it was
- 1:07Speaker 1: two roster moves, namely two top prospects promotions. Congratulations to
- 1:13Speaker 1: Jimmy Crooks since he's at Prieto, which if you don't know,
- 1:15Speaker 1: already were selected to the major league roster before the
- 1:19Speaker 1: series began on Friday. They both made their major league
- 1:22Speaker 1: debuts and Friday seven to five win in ten innings
- 1:25Speaker 1: against the Reds and both got their first career starts
- 1:28Speaker 1: this afternoon. Prieto beat out an infield single in the
- 1:32Speaker 1: later Indians first first big league hit. Crooks, on the
- 1:35Speaker 1: other hand, no big deal, Just want today a solo
- 1:37Speaker 1: shot on the seventh before his first major league hit,
- 1:40Speaker 1: and that is always super special, even more so when
- 1:42Speaker 1: it comes as a big fly. And yes, for the
- 1:44Speaker 1: inquiring minds at home, the Cardinals were able to secure
- 1:47Speaker 1: that ballback from a fan in right field. The ball
- 1:50Speaker 1: was sitting on manager Alli Marmal's desk when reporters came
- 1:53Speaker 1: in after the game. So congratulations to both of those players'
- 1:57Speaker 1: names that we've been monitoring down in Memphis for a while.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Crooks and Preoto both top twenty prospects entering the season.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Per the Athletics Keith Lodgeimmy Crooks was number eight in
- 2:06Speaker 1: the organization Preoto a number fifteen. Let's talk a little
- 2:09Speaker 1: bit about the corresponding moves first and how we got
- 2:11Speaker 1: here before we go back to what we can expect
- 2:13Speaker 1: from Crooks and Preoto to finish out the season. The
- 2:16Speaker 1: corresponding moves were not great. Alec Burlson hit the ten
- 2:18Speaker 1: day IL with a right wrist inflammation. Joel Poso placed
- 2:23Speaker 1: on the IL with a concussion. He's on the seven
- 2:27Speaker 1: day concussion injury list. Burlison is on the ten day IL.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Neither injury should keep either player out too long, but
- 2:32Speaker 1: certainly not ideal, especially for Burlson, who has been arguably
- 2:37Speaker 1: the team's most consistent hitter. Now, these were two injuries
- 2:41Speaker 1: that the Cardinals didn't really see coming. On Thursday, this
- 2:44Speaker 1: is when it first was brought to the organization's attention
- 2:46Speaker 1: that semi Elston's would be necessary. Burlson missed one game
- 2:50Speaker 1: last week against the Rays dealing with some that right
- 2:52Speaker 1: risk soreness, but was able to play through, swatted a
- 2:55Speaker 1: walk off homer on Monday against the Pirates, and just
- 2:58Speaker 1: kind of was day to day. But on Thursday day
- 3:00Speaker 1: he described it his feeling the risk feeling as as
- 3:03Speaker 1: painful as it had been, he was unable to finish
- 3:05Speaker 1: the game was pulled for a defensive replacement in the eighth.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Poso also played in Thursday's game. He got struck pretty
- 3:11Speaker 1: hard by that a foul tip in the third inning.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Remained on the ground for several minutes, ultimately finished the game,
- 3:16Speaker 1: but was clear after that he did have a concussion,
- 3:18Speaker 1: so the team placed him on the concussion injured list.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Burlison got some anti inflammatory injection. POSO progressing well back
- 3:27Speaker 1: in Saint Louis. Olli Marma believes they should not miss
- 3:30Speaker 1: more than the minimum amount of time on their respective stints,
- 3:33Speaker 1: so that's good. We'll do an injury. Let's just do
- 3:36Speaker 1: the injury un down now because we're already on the topic.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Nolan Arnado will be in Saint Louis on Wednesday. I
- 3:41Speaker 1: believe that's the third to get evaluated by the Cardinal's
- 3:44Speaker 1: medical staff, and then the team will decide if he's
- 3:47Speaker 1: ready to go on a rehab assignment or not. The
- 3:49Speaker 1: team does expect Ronado to play again this season, targeting
- 3:53Speaker 1: potentially a mid September return, so that will be good news.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Brendan Donovan continues to progress at home Cardinals again think
- 4:01Speaker 1: he'll be back before the end of the season, but
- 4:03Speaker 1: no real update as term in terms of a rehab assignment.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Victor Scott the Second began a rehab assignment of his
- 4:09Speaker 1: own with Springfield on Friday, played again today. Cardinals are
- 4:13Speaker 1: awaiting further word to see if he'll be able to
- 4:14Speaker 1: be activated before Monday's game early game against the A's
- 4:19Speaker 1: for Labor Day. That is a rare Monday Day game.
- 4:21Speaker 1: If that is the case, it would be pretty obvious
- 4:24Speaker 1: that he would be the September first expansion roster move.
- 4:28Speaker 1: We'll get to those moves what they could be later
- 4:30Speaker 1: in the show. So that's a Cardinals injury update. I
- 4:33Speaker 1: think I'm missing a couple. Yes, Riley O'Brien is a
- 4:37Speaker 1: candidate to go on the fifteen day IL. He is
- 4:40Speaker 1: dealing with some fatigue, some pinched nerves, something in his
- 4:44Speaker 1: right lap, so he has not been able to recover
- 4:47Speaker 1: one hundred percent. He was unavailable the last two games
- 4:50Speaker 1: in Cincinnati, so the Cardinals are discussing whether or not
- 4:53Speaker 1: they'll need to place O'Brien on the IL and what
- 4:55Speaker 1: that will mean for more roster expansion candidates possibilities. We
- 4:58Speaker 1: will get to again later in the show. But first
- 5:02Speaker 1: it's time for our DraftKings player spotlight, except we're going
- 5:05Speaker 1: to switch it up a little bit. Instead of spotlighting
- 5:08Speaker 1: one player, we're going to spotlight two. Let's get to
- 5:10Speaker 1: know a little bit more about Jimmy Crooks and Cesar Preeto,
- 5:13Speaker 1: shall we? All right? So if you don't know, now
- 5:21Speaker 1: you do. The Cardinals will plan on using both Crooks
- 5:26Speaker 1: and Preato in a consistent amount of time throughout the season.
- 5:31Speaker 1: They won't necessarily be everyday starters. Manager Ali Marmal will
- 5:34Speaker 1: not commit to a clear cut playing time in Jimmy
- 5:36Speaker 1: Crooks's case. With Pedro Pahz, who is still expected to
- 5:39Speaker 1: see a considerable amount of reps, He's had a good August,
- 5:42Speaker 1: by far his most impressive offensive month of the season.
- 5:45Speaker 1: But that doesn't mean that the Cardinals don't want to
- 5:47Speaker 1: see more of Jimmy Crooks. We talked to Olie Marmal
- 5:49Speaker 1: on Friday the visiting reporters in Cincinnati and said, the
- 5:52Speaker 1: biggest thing for Jimmy, who could be a big piece
- 5:54Speaker 1: for this club's future, is the organization just wants to
- 5:57Speaker 1: see where he's at. They want to see in Crooks's case,
- 6:00Speaker 1: how does he game plan a game, how does he
- 6:02Speaker 1: deviate from it, how does he commit to it? When
- 6:05Speaker 1: does he make a call to change things up and
- 6:07Speaker 1: adapt in the game. How does he recover things like that?
- 6:10Speaker 1: Things that you can't really evaluate from a player In
- 6:12Speaker 1: triple A, Preato is more of a depth in field there.
- 6:16Speaker 1: The Cardinals something if you've heard this before, they have
- 6:17Speaker 1: a ton of lefties, So adding two more in Preoto
- 6:20Speaker 1: and Crooks complicates a little bit of things from the
- 6:22Speaker 1: lineup perspective. But Gorman so JC Mason Win should see
- 6:28Speaker 1: the bulk of the refs in the infield that Prieto
- 6:30Speaker 1: can play all three positions third base, second base, and shortstop,
- 6:33Speaker 1: so he'll be able to kind of slot in and
- 6:35Speaker 1: give breathers two players when necessary. That will be especially
- 6:38Speaker 1: important in Mason Win's case, as we know he's been
- 6:40Speaker 1: a little banged up. Cardinals do not believe that they
- 6:43Speaker 1: are putting him at any risk with that sore knee
- 6:45Speaker 1: for next season. It's just something they're going to have
- 6:47Speaker 1: to manage, a monitor, manage workload, and keep into consideration.
- 6:52Speaker 1: So maybe a couple more rest days for Win the necessary,
- 6:54Speaker 1: But that does allow Preato to play and kind of
- 6:57Speaker 1: helps all around. So one days that Mason win liked
- 7:00Speaker 1: not in the starting lineup, you'll see s JC at shortstop,
- 7:02Speaker 1: most likely in Preeto at second. Gorman will stay at third.
- 7:05Speaker 1: How this complicates when Slash, if Donovan Arnatto come back,
- 7:08Speaker 1: we will get there. Right now, off the top of
- 7:11Speaker 1: my head, the Cardinals have Donovan Burlason, now Bar Gorman, Crooks, Preeto,
- 7:19Speaker 1: Scott Church, all left handed hitters in the mix. I'm
- 7:24Speaker 1: probably missing one. Maybe that will be the case. These
- 7:27Speaker 1: things will eventually sort themselves out in terms of which
- 7:29Speaker 1: left you stay up in which don't. But for right now,
- 7:31Speaker 1: I expect to see Preeto kind of used as that
- 7:34Speaker 1: depth option for Alli Marble throughout the infield. Not sure
- 7:38Speaker 1: how the playing time for this upcoming series against the
- 7:41Speaker 1: A's will look again. It's a three game set Monday
- 7:44Speaker 1: day game to a night game Tuesday, night game Wednesday,
- 7:46Speaker 1: and off down Thursday, so ample time for rest after
- 7:49Speaker 1: this quick turnaround tomorrow. I would expect to see Crooks
- 7:52Speaker 1: in there at least a couple times this week, though,
- 7:54Speaker 1: because evaluation as the Cardinals pivot too twenty twenty six
- 7:58Speaker 1: and beyond will become the f point of the season.
- 8:01Speaker 1: It honestly already has been for the last few weeks.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Jimmy Crooks is absolutely going to be a part of that.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Yvon Herrera. It's funny because I feel like we talked
- 8:11Speaker 1: about this on almost every episode, how the Cardinals have
- 8:13Speaker 1: a redundancy problem. They certainly have that at catcher. The
- 8:15Speaker 1: Cardinals are not moving Yvon Herrera off of catcher permanently
- 8:19Speaker 1: just for the season, as we talked about earlier in
- 8:21Speaker 1: the year. But when you look at how the catching
- 8:24Speaker 1: is shaping up for twenty twenty six, Herrera, Pa Haz
- 8:28Speaker 1: Crooks seem to be the front runners there. I'm not
- 8:30Speaker 1: sure what this means for Poso, who is kind of
- 8:33Speaker 1: could be just a depth option in Triple A if
- 8:35Speaker 1: his contract sas allows for that. But it is important
- 8:38Speaker 1: for this team to figure out what they have in
- 8:40Speaker 1: Jimmy Crooks so that they can accurately start planning for
- 8:43Speaker 1: twenty twenty six and beyond. That includes what they will
- 8:45Speaker 1: do with Pedro pa Has and where they'll play Yvon
- 8:47Speaker 1: Herrera on the field next year, because as impressive as
- 8:51Speaker 1: he's been at the plate, the Cardinals cannot afford to
- 8:54Speaker 1: have another soul strict designated hitter. But if you've been
- 8:57Speaker 1: watching the show, you know how I feel about that,
- 8:59Speaker 1: so I won't waste anymore of your time. All right.

- 11:34Speaker 1: my most locked in work over the last two weeks.
- 11:36Speaker 1: And I'm not kidding that took a lot. All Right
- 11:38Speaker 1: back to the show, who are the September roster expansion candidates?
- 11:43Speaker 1: We will know that by roughly ten thirty am Central
- 11:47Speaker 1: Time tomorrow, the Cardinals will across Baseball, not just the Cardinals,
- 11:51Speaker 1: we'll major league active rosters will expand from twenty six
- 11:54Speaker 1: players to twenty eight. Gone are the days where the
- 11:57Speaker 1: floodgates opened and you had forty players up on the roster.
- 12:00Speaker 1: That was super fun. Now roster ex expansion days are
- 12:03Speaker 1: a little less cool, but still certainly something to monitor
- 12:06Speaker 1: when you look at what the Cardinals are looking to do.
- 12:09Speaker 1: The kind of like lame part of this is that
- 12:12Speaker 1: the big names that we were excited to see on
- 12:14Speaker 1: this day are actually already here. Because Crooks and Prieto
- 12:17Speaker 1: were going to be under consideration Cooks especially for that
- 12:20Speaker 1: roster expansion spot, and maybe we'd see Prieto later depending
- 12:24Speaker 1: on need. The Cardinals. All teams in baseball get one
- 12:27Speaker 1: extra position player and one extra pitcher for this roster expansion.
- 12:31Speaker 1: I was under the assumption or under the belief that
- 12:34Speaker 1: Jimmy Crooks was going to be here regardless of an
- 12:36Speaker 1: injury on Monday. So, like we talked about, Victor Scott
- 12:40Speaker 1: the second started his rehab assignment with Springfield. It would
- 12:43Speaker 1: be very surprising if the Cardinals do not activate him
- 12:46Speaker 1: for Monday off the injured list. He was dealing with
- 12:48Speaker 1: that left ankle sprain two weeks ago against the Yankees,
- 12:51Speaker 1: but recovered fairly quickly, got into a couple of reheab
- 12:54Speaker 1: games in Springfield over the weekend. The Cardinals were waiting
- 12:57Speaker 1: to hear back from how Vic played because Springfield's game
- 13:00Speaker 1: had not ended before the Cardinals game in Cincinnati did today,
- 13:04Speaker 1: So waiting for an injury. We're waiting for a progress
- 13:07Speaker 1: report on Victor Scott's injury before making that move official.
- 13:11Speaker 1: But the organization would be very surprised if Victor Scott
- 13:15Speaker 1: was not activated tomorrow, and so would I. So that
- 13:17Speaker 1: takes care, takes care. I'm having a hard time speaking
- 13:20Speaker 1: at the moment. I don't know why that takes care
- 13:22Speaker 1: of the position side. Now, the Cardinals could have a
- 13:26Speaker 1: chance for two spots on the pitching side because they're
- 13:29Speaker 1: like we mentioned, there is a chance that Riley O'Brien
- 13:32Speaker 1: hits the IL, so the Cardinals would need to backfill
- 13:35Speaker 1: his spot, of course, and then add one more arm
- 13:37Speaker 1: for the pitcher expansion spot. For names under consideration for
- 13:42Speaker 1: at least one, maybe two openings, they are Chris Roycroft,
- 13:45Speaker 1: Roderie Munoz, Anthony Veniziano, and Curtis Taylor. We have seen
- 13:50Speaker 1: three out of four. Curtis Taylor is having a very
- 13:53Speaker 1: nice season for Triple A Memphis as one of their
- 13:54Speaker 1: depth starters. The Cardinals could use him either way, both
- 13:58Speaker 1: as length in the bullpen should they select him, or
- 14:01Speaker 1: as a spot starter in the rotation. I do not
- 14:04Speaker 1: believe there are any going to be any openings in
- 14:06Speaker 1: the rotation today. On a Polante through five innings, tag
- 14:10Speaker 1: for five runs, but only two were earned a misfortunate
- 14:13Speaker 1: an unfortunate error by Caesar Preto led to three runs
- 14:16Speaker 1: early in the game that were not charged to Polante.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Four walks but six strikeouts and all you know, the
- 14:23Speaker 1: box scorer isn't dazzling, but those things point to progress
- 14:27Speaker 1: and that's what the Cardinals are hoping to see with Polante,
- 14:31Speaker 1: so a better outing from him in terms of what
- 14:33Speaker 1: he's looking to work on still some ways to go,
- 14:36Speaker 1: but I do believe that he will continue staying in
- 14:37Speaker 1: the rotation, which means if the Cardinals do select Curtis Taylor,
- 14:41Speaker 1: I'm not quite sure where he would fit, they will
- 14:43Speaker 1: definitely have to add one arm, maybe two again, depending
- 14:46Speaker 1: on Riley O'Brien's status. You can make an argument for
- 14:50Speaker 1: really any of those guys, but I feel Veniziano because
- 14:53Speaker 1: he would be a lefty. And the Cardinals again are
- 14:56Speaker 1: back to having only one left handed reliever and Jojo Romero.
- 14:59Speaker 1: John King hit the IL earlier in the week for
- 15:01Speaker 1: the second time this month, so Cardin's playing short handed
- 15:05Speaker 1: and that actually really came into play today with their
- 15:07Speaker 1: bullpen many guys down. Jojo unavailable, Kylee he had available,
- 15:12Speaker 1: O'Brien obviously unavailable, Matt Swhonson unavailable. Ali Marble said before
- 15:16Speaker 1: the game he had three relievers that could go, all
- 15:18Speaker 1: with different workloads. For Hey al Kala not available, so
- 15:22Speaker 1: it was really down to Gorn and Grissevo and they
- 15:24Speaker 1: used him Max he had nothing left after he was
- 15:27Speaker 1: taken out the game, and Andre Grinio was an option
- 15:30Speaker 1: there as well, And I do not believe Brian Fernandez
- 15:33Speaker 1: was live. I think they were trying to stay away
- 15:35Speaker 1: from him also, so a patchwork bullpen game. Hopefully Saint
- 15:39Speaker 1: Louis can replenish their relievers again. Expect one, I would
- 15:43Speaker 1: expect two. I would be surprised if O'Brien did not
- 15:46Speaker 1: end up on the injured list, just based on how
- 15:48Speaker 1: unavailable he was this weekend and the lack of recovery.
- 15:51Speaker 1: So things that monitor there. You'll notice the name I
- 15:54Speaker 1: did not say, sorry, you're gonna hate this part of
- 15:56Speaker 1: the show. I did not mention JJ Weatherholt's top prospect
- 16:00Speaker 1: carrying it up in Memphis this season. He has not
- 16:02Speaker 1: been under a consideration for a call up at any
- 16:04Speaker 1: point so far this season. I know you hate it.
- 16:08Speaker 1: This is terrible. I get it. I like you would
- 16:10Speaker 1: love to see JJ weatherhol up here. But it's much
- 16:12Speaker 1: more complex than just his service time and starting his clock.
- 16:16Speaker 1: There are so many ulterior things here, the biggest one
- 16:20Speaker 1: being that John Mozelok still sets the major league roster.
- 16:25Speaker 1: JJ Weatherholt is heim Bloom's decision on when to start
- 16:29Speaker 1: his service time, when to start his clock, when to
- 16:31Speaker 1: use him, what's best for his development. So this is
- 16:33Speaker 1: kind of the weird awkwardness and a transitioneer. Moe is
- 16:37Speaker 1: making the decisions for the major league club, but JJ
- 16:39Speaker 1: weatherhol is very much a part of Heim's core of players,
- 16:42Speaker 1: so I'm not sure if it's really Moe's. Well, on paper,
- 16:45Speaker 1: of course, it's Moe's decision to make. He is in
- 16:47Speaker 1: charge of the active roster. I think there is some
- 16:50Speaker 1: back and forth on what's best for JJ and what
- 16:52Speaker 1: Heim would like JJ's service time to look like in
- 16:55Speaker 1: the beginning of his career to look like, and that's
- 16:57Speaker 1: ultimately going to be Heim's decision. So it's complicated. I
- 17:01Speaker 1: know it's the Cardinals. What you thought was gonna be
- 17:02Speaker 1: simple anyway, I'm just here to tell you to spoil
- 17:05Speaker 1: your party. Don't count on a Jj Weatherholt promotion anytime soon.
- 17:07Speaker 1: It has not been discussed. Preeto was going to be
- 17:10Speaker 1: the infielder they called up if they needed to, and
- 17:13Speaker 1: we saw that they did so. Kind of a boring
- 17:16Speaker 1: roster expansion explanation because we're not going to see, most
- 17:20Speaker 1: likely any new names that we haven't already. The only
- 17:23Speaker 1: thing that could change the position playing side in this
- 17:26Speaker 1: is Wilson Contreras's suspension. As we talked about in our
- 17:28Speaker 1: last episode with Bernie. He is in the middle of
- 17:31Speaker 1: appealing a six game suspension by Major League Baseball for
- 17:34Speaker 1: that sketch little altercation with Hope plae umpire Derek Thomas
- 17:38Speaker 1: last week against the Pirates. Still have not heard back
- 17:41Speaker 1: from MLB on if that appeal was approved, if the
- 17:44Speaker 1: suspension will be reduced. When that comes into place, the
- 17:47Speaker 1: Cardinals will have to obviously not have contrarasts and they
- 17:50Speaker 1: cannot backfill his absence. They will play a man short.
- 17:53Speaker 1: So I do not believe Major League Baseball will make
- 17:55Speaker 1: that decision on Labor Day, a holiday. Maybe we have
- 17:58Speaker 1: some better clarity and what that looks like starting today.
- 18:00Speaker 1: So I would expect that this roster doesn't stay this way,
- 18:04Speaker 1: by the way, just based on the amount of players
- 18:06Speaker 1: that we talked about earlier in the earlier in the
- 18:09Speaker 1: show coming off the injured list. When Alec Gurlson's ready
- 18:12Speaker 1: to go, they're going to bring him. When Brendan Donvan's
- 18:14Speaker 1: ready to go, they're going to bring him. When Nolan
- 18:16Speaker 1: Arnatto is ready to go, they're going to bring him.
- 18:18Speaker 1: So some of these guys, and this is just speculation,
- 18:20Speaker 1: but some guys like Preato likes. The JC might not
- 18:23Speaker 1: be here to finish the season. That's why it's important
- 18:26Speaker 1: for them to seize the time that they have right now.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I think Thomas A. Jac has done a really nice
- 18:30Speaker 1: job in particular of doing so. All right, let's hear
- 18:33Speaker 1: from my friends that are going to club and we'll
- 18:34Speaker 1: wrap this show up.
- 18:35Speaker 3: We'll be right back, Okay, KP. This is your first
- 18:37Speaker 3: arena club experience. We're going to open a slab pack together.
- 18:40Speaker 3: So first off, we're going to buy one of those
- 18:42Speaker 3: twenty five dollars slab packs and we get to see
- 18:44Speaker 3: what is in the pack.
- 18:46Speaker 1: There. It is the.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Grail, which is the best card in the pack and
- 18:50Speaker 3: worth the most. There are some other cards that we're chasing,
- 18:53Speaker 3: and you can see the entire lineup so that you
- 18:54Speaker 3: know what you're in the running for. There's the Yamamoto
- 18:57Speaker 3: signed card. Now to open up our pack and.
- 19:01Speaker 1: See how we do.
- 19:03Speaker 3: We have ourselves a really cool graphic and then a show.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Hey o Tani fifty to fifty card from last year.
- 19:13Speaker 3: What do you want to do? Should we sell it
- 19:14Speaker 3: right back to them for sixteen or should we keep it?
- 19:18Speaker 1: You should give it to me, I'll keep.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Good answer fine, I will give it to you. Since
- 19:23Speaker 3: the Blue Jays didn't getto Tani, you can get this
- 19:25Speaker 3: fifty to fifty card instead. Use the code foul foul
- 19:28Speaker 3: to get yourself twenty percent off your first slab pack
- 19:31Speaker 3: or card purchase. Yes, you get to keep that card
- 19:33Speaker 3: if you want it. They send it to you foul
- 19:35Speaker 3: at Arena club dot com slash foul.
- 19:38Speaker 1: All right, wrapping up this quick Sunday episode for you guys.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Cardinals as on deck. I will always want to call
- 19:44Speaker 1: them the Oakland Athletics, that is the Bay Area in me,
- 19:47Speaker 1: but sadly that no longer exists, so it's the no
- 19:49Speaker 1: city as that they play in Sacramento. They have no
- 19:52Speaker 1: affiliation for a what a city for the next three
- 19:54Speaker 1: years until they go to Vegas allegedly in twenty twenty eight.
- 19:59Speaker 1: I don't know. Still don't think they're going to Vegas
- 20:01Speaker 1: because that's just me being here off day on Thursday,
- 20:03Speaker 1: and then the Giants come to town. So a californ
- 20:06Speaker 1: Northern California week here at bushadm mess something near and
- 20:09Speaker 1: dear to my heart. Of course, we'll see Sunny Gray
- 20:12Speaker 1: Miles Michaelis and Matthew Libertor against the a's so act. Accordingly,
- 20:18Speaker 1: Bernie and I will be back early next week. We'll
- 20:21Speaker 1: get some three episodes out here. I have some really
- 20:22Speaker 1: fun guests planned. I know that August we were a
- 20:24Speaker 1: little light on player and staff interview, so I'm going
- 20:26Speaker 1: to make it up to you guys as we finish
- 20:29Speaker 1: out the final four weeks of the regular season. Just
- 20:32Speaker 1: two home stands left and four road cities. That was
- 20:36Speaker 1: crazy and it will absolutely fly by, especially as we
- 20:38Speaker 1: get closer to the end of the season. I expect
- 20:40Speaker 1: to have much more clarity about what the heim Bloom
- 20:42Speaker 1: transition will actually look like. For those of you looking
- 20:45Speaker 1: for a preview, you can do so at the athletic
- 20:48Speaker 1: dot Com slash Cardinals. There is a mail bag up
- 20:50Speaker 1: there focusing on a little bit of what heim Bloom
- 20:52Speaker 1: and rob'storfolio have been doing behind the scenes in the
- 20:55Speaker 1: Cardinals minor league and player development system. Check it out.
- 20:58Speaker 1: As always, here for your feedback, comments, questions, concerns, all
- 21:02Speaker 1: the above. Bernie, night back with you very soon. Have
- 21:04Speaker 1: a great week. Thanks for watching.
