- 0:08Speaker 1: Scrible advice shot, nice rum shooter at Thursday, which means
- 0:18Speaker 1: that our dear friend Mark Lupo is joining us. Hey,
- 0:21Speaker 1: Lupi are you there? Lupie lewis here? I love that.
- 0:26Speaker 1: It makes me smile. Hey, how are things with the romance?
- 0:29Speaker 1: I get so many d m s about you and
- 0:32Speaker 1: this guy you're seeing, and people are really curious what's happening. Yeah,
- 0:36Speaker 1: things are good. It's his birthday this weekend, so yeah,
- 0:39Speaker 1: it's his birthday. We're going out to a few different things.
- 0:41Speaker 1: I can't say everything because surprised, but surprised. I've been
- 0:45Speaker 1: thinking of some thoughtful, fun things to do. So it's me.
- 0:49Speaker 1: You're such a sweet boyfriend. Well we're not boyfriends, but
- 0:52Speaker 1: were on the way. Do you distinctively make that decision
- 0:59Speaker 1: in your life? Do you decide right now with boyfriends?
- 1:03Speaker 1: I do. I think it does. There does take time,
- 1:05Speaker 1: and there is a moment where you're like, okay, I
- 1:07Speaker 1: feel like this is the next step and you actually
- 1:09Speaker 1: have to define that and say that so you you
- 1:11Speaker 1: don't sort of unwillingly roll into this. It's a it's
- 1:15Speaker 1: a definitive moment you make a purposeful decision. I do,
- 1:21Speaker 1: and like I think about this stuff. I go to a
- 1:23Speaker 1: a therapist. We talked about it weekly, Like I make
- 1:26Speaker 1: sure that I feel like I'm in the right place,
- 1:27Speaker 1: in the right headspace to to commit to someone. So
- 1:29Speaker 1: that's kind of where I am. Oh, it's lovely. It's
- 1:33Speaker 1: so interesting. Does does he have these same ideas too?
- 1:38Speaker 1: Is he the same wavelength about this stuff? I think
- 1:41Speaker 1: he's more ready to commit and just move on to
- 1:44Speaker 1: the next step, but he's being patient and working. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:49Speaker 1: Oh so he really likes it, I think. So it
- 1:54Speaker 1: is cute and I can't wait to meet him. Well,
- 1:57Speaker 1: if you you must approve if if Rob doesn't as
- 2:03Speaker 1: Doris met him, Yeah, but I think it could be
- 2:05Speaker 1: in the next couple of months. Yeah. Wow, she's aware
- 2:09Speaker 1: of him, She's on the way, She's on the way.
- 2:14Speaker 1: And then does brother Jonathan have any input at all? This?
- 2:17Speaker 1: He could? He finds out the last awful Okay, let's
- 2:23Speaker 1: jump into the show. What time is it that friends?
- 2:26Speaker 1: It is? This is a really awful story at the
- 2:32Speaker 1: top of the show, but we have to cover it.
- 2:33Speaker 1: It's the big story of the day. Britney Spears is
- 2:36Speaker 1: not in danger. The police are saying after fans called
- 2:39Speaker 1: in a wellness check, so Brittany is currently not in danger,
- 2:44Speaker 1: the Sheriff's office is confirming. After concerned fans asked the
- 2:49Speaker 1: police department for a wellness check, the police said the
- 2:53Speaker 1: following quote, I can confirm that we did get a
- 2:56Speaker 1: call into our dispatch, and essentially I can come firm
- 3:00Speaker 1: that we don't believe that Britney Spears is in any
- 3:03Speaker 1: kind of harm or of any kind of danger. Officers
- 3:08Speaker 1: would not disclose how many calls they had received, and
- 3:12Speaker 1: they would not reveal whether they had actually made direct
- 3:15Speaker 1: contact with Brittany. Well how they knew that she was
- 3:19Speaker 1: doing just fine, so they said that they want to
- 3:22Speaker 1: be transparent, but obviously there are privacy issues here. What
- 3:26Speaker 1: happened is that Brittany seemed to be acting very very
- 3:29Speaker 1: strange on social media. She cleared her account, she renamed
- 3:34Speaker 1: her account at one point, I think it was a
- 3:36Speaker 1: river red. There's been some odd posts, but that's who
- 3:39Speaker 1: Brittany is. They're always odd posts. Fans got concerned about this,
- 3:43Speaker 1: called it in. There was a wellness check, and now
- 3:48Speaker 1: they're saying that she is okay. Since then, the account
- 3:53Speaker 1: has been deleted. Oh Brittain, you know every time I
- 3:59Speaker 1: get an Tim's yellert about Britney Spears, my heart skipped
- 4:02Speaker 1: to be because I wonder, is this the time the one?
- 4:06Speaker 1: And you know it's it's a few weeks ago. Remember
- 4:08Speaker 1: when she was at the restaurant with her her husband
- 4:11Speaker 1: and then he stormed out and the fans were taking pictures.
- 4:14Speaker 1: It's like, you know, we all say we want to
- 4:16Speaker 1: protect Brittany and save Brittany, but it's like, leave Brittany
- 4:19Speaker 1: alone at the same time, and so is she okay?
- 4:23Speaker 1: Rob that she's been erratic for for years now on
- 4:26Speaker 1: social media, it's I'm concerned. Yeah, I think this is
- 4:30Speaker 1: what's going on here. And I've spent actually a rather
- 4:33Speaker 1: long time thinking about this. Brittany is not a well
- 4:38Speaker 1: plus and we know that, and so Brittany is always
- 4:41Speaker 1: going to be unwell. She's always going to be a radic.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And I think we want the Brittany we see on
- 4:49Speaker 1: stage and in those pop videos, those polished videos. We
- 4:53Speaker 1: want that Brittany, and whenever she's not being that Brittany,
- 4:57Speaker 1: we are concerned, and I don't think we can he
- 5:00Speaker 1: continue to do that. I think we've got to all
- 5:03Speaker 1: acknowledge there's two distinct sides to Brittany. Lots of people
- 5:07Speaker 1: have different sides for themselves. There's a side of Brittany
- 5:10Speaker 1: on stage and in the pop videos, and that's a
- 5:12Speaker 1: truthful side, and it does exist. It's well put together,
- 5:15Speaker 1: but it is true. And there's also a side of
- 5:17Speaker 1: Brittany of a very emotionally unhappy, disturbed person. And if
- 5:25Speaker 1: you want Brittany in your life, you've got to make
- 5:28Speaker 1: peace with both. We might have friends like this. I
- 5:30Speaker 1: have some friends who are really accomplished in their jobs,
- 5:34Speaker 1: they're really great at what they do. In their private life,
- 5:38Speaker 1: they're they're a mess, and sometimes they're not even that nice.
- 5:43Speaker 1: And you've got to decide as a person if that's
- 5:47Speaker 1: acceptable for you, because you can't change people. They are
- 5:51Speaker 1: who they are. I think we all wish we had
- 5:53Speaker 1: a magic wand and we could some have fixed Brittany.
- 5:58Speaker 1: We can't. This is who she ease, and who's to
- 6:01Speaker 1: say even that she needs to be fixed. It's up
- 6:04Speaker 1: to her to debate that decision. So we want Brittany
- 6:07Speaker 1: to have autonomy. We we thought we scream to get
- 6:10Speaker 1: rid of her dad in her life. That was successfully achieved,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and now I feel like we've replaced her dad as
- 6:19Speaker 1: the judge. We've got to stop judging her. We've got
- 6:22Speaker 1: to just acknowledge this is who she is and if
- 6:24Speaker 1: that isn't acceptable to you, stop following Brittany. Exactly well
- 6:30Speaker 1: said Rob, and I think too that we can recognize
- 6:33Speaker 1: that fame only magnify as the person that you are
- 6:35Speaker 1: in are right. So, there are so many people who
- 6:38Speaker 1: struggle with mental health or other issues and they get
- 6:40Speaker 1: to do it in a private way. No one's calling
- 6:42Speaker 1: the police on them. They can do it in their
- 6:43Speaker 1: privacy of their own home. Brittany does not have that
- 6:46Speaker 1: luxury because every single thing Brittan does is photographed to
- 6:49Speaker 1: pick apart reading about immediate alerts, and I truly feel
- 6:53Speaker 1: for her. She can't even be at peace with herself.
- 6:55Speaker 1: She can't be at peace with herself. I think she
- 6:57Speaker 1: can be at more are piece, She can find more
- 7:01Speaker 1: peace in her life if she gets away from social media.
- 7:04Speaker 1: She's not the celebrity that leaves her house very often.
- 7:07Speaker 1: We don't see that many pictures of her anymore. She's
- 7:10Speaker 1: a homebody. We know a lot of people. Gosh, sometimes
- 7:12Speaker 1: I wonder if I didn't have to leave myirs, if
- 7:15Speaker 1: I ever would. She lives in an amazing compound and
- 7:19Speaker 1: she spends a lot of her time there, And so
- 7:22Speaker 1: Brittany get off social media. Like the only insight we
- 7:26Speaker 1: get into your life at the moment is that she
- 7:29Speaker 1: doesn't have a lot of friends. She doesn't have her
- 7:32Speaker 1: family at the moment. She she she has Sam, her husband,
- 7:35Speaker 1: and thank god he's around. But I want Brittany to
- 7:39Speaker 1: be happy. But I've also come to the conclusion she
- 7:42Speaker 1: might never be happy in the sense that you and
- 7:45Speaker 1: me think of happiness. It just might not happen for her.
- 7:49Speaker 1: We know about her mental health issues. This is who
- 7:53Speaker 1: Brittany isn't if you want to keep following her, if
- 7:56Speaker 1: she does return to social media, you shouldn't be surprised
- 8:00Speaker 1: if we have more of these moments, because I don't
- 8:03Speaker 1: think she's going to change. It's hard, isn't it, Because
- 8:06Speaker 1: we were taught one thing about Brittany and it wasn't
- 8:09Speaker 1: the whole truth. I'm not saying it was a switcher ruher,
- 8:12Speaker 1: but we've got to realize that everything we know about
- 8:16Speaker 1: Brittany is only probably about fifty of it, and there's
- 8:19Speaker 1: a lot more going on that we probably will never
- 8:22Speaker 1: totally know, but we have seen a glimpse at it,
- 8:24Speaker 1: and we constantly see these glimpses. It's like people we know, Mark,
- 8:29Speaker 1: I want to believe that everybody in my life, my colleagues,
- 8:32Speaker 1: my friends, are good people. And every so often I
- 8:35Speaker 1: see a little glimmer where you know, you see there
- 8:38Speaker 1: are you see them snap at a waiter, and I'm like, Oh,
- 8:43Speaker 1: there's parts of us. Maybe we even do it ourselves.
- 8:46Speaker 1: There's parts of us that we want to keep under wraps.
- 8:48Speaker 1: And I suggest Brittany stay off social media for a
- 8:52Speaker 1: little bit or if not forever. You don't need to post.
- 8:56Speaker 1: This brings us to our whole question of the day.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Are you worried about Britney Spears? Are you worried about
- 9:01Speaker 1: Britney Spears? Or is this just the reality now and
- 9:04Speaker 1: you're not worried? This is who she's going to be
- 9:06Speaker 1: for the rest of her life. Hey govts on Twitter
- 9:09Speaker 1: page and naughty ice Room Facebook page is naughty gossip
- 9:12Speaker 1: and be sue to check back to morrow to hear
- 9:15Speaker 1: your results. Hey, what is going on with our two
- 9:19Speaker 1: favorite jennifers, Miss Lopez and miss Gardener? Oh yes, okay,
- 9:26Speaker 1: So in one of the first times since Jennifer Lopez
- 9:28Speaker 1: and Ben Affleck have gotten married. Lopez and Affleck and
- 9:31Speaker 1: Affleck's ex wife, Jennifer Garner, we're all photographed together at
- 9:35Speaker 1: an events support Affleck and Gurner's fourteen year old daughter
- 9:38Speaker 1: fourteen year old daughter, Serafina. So the three were seen
- 9:42Speaker 1: arriving a performance hall in Santa Monica with their children
- 9:45Speaker 1: to watch Serafina perform. Lopez's daughter, her two twins, Emmy
- 9:49Speaker 1: and Max, were there along with Serafina's older sister Violet
- 9:53Speaker 1: and their younger brother is Samuel. The whole father, whole family.
- 9:56Speaker 1: What do you think what this was like? What do
- 9:58Speaker 1: you think went down? I think it's so nice that
- 10:00Speaker 1: they've worked really hard on this. Jennifer said that this
- 10:04Speaker 1: wasn't necessarily going to be easy and it was handled
- 10:08Speaker 1: with extreme care to make sure that all the kids feelings,
- 10:12Speaker 1: let's remember their teenagers, all those feelings were listened to,
- 10:16Speaker 1: were heard. I think they've done a really good job
- 10:19Speaker 1: and it's a different side of j Low. People wouldn't
- 10:21Speaker 1: believe that she could do this because the image of
- 10:24Speaker 1: her being the diva and coming store begined to this
- 10:28Speaker 1: recital with a fan and twenty backup dancers and a
- 10:31Speaker 1: fur coats and maybe a sequined leotard. Wasn't the reality.
- 10:36Speaker 1: She came as Jennifer the mom, and I think it's
- 10:39Speaker 1: really really lovely. I'm told that two of them could
- 10:42Speaker 1: not be more different publicly, Jennifer Gardner and Jennifer Lopez,
- 10:47Speaker 1: but when it comes to raising the kids, they're they're
- 10:49Speaker 1: pretty pretty similar, and the kids are first, and so
- 10:53Speaker 1: I think this is really great. Can you imagine performing
- 10:57Speaker 1: in your school play recital? And I mean the whole
- 11:02Speaker 1: world stops when Jayla walks it. I mean, I think,
- 11:05Speaker 1: you know, I hope that her kids, their kids can
- 11:08Speaker 1: have their own moments to shine, and I think they
- 11:10Speaker 1: probably do. But it's hard. Jennifer is a distracted, distracting
- 11:13Speaker 1: for distracting, even if she's not trying to be distracted.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I've been at little private parties where Jennifer and Ben
- 11:20Speaker 1: have turned up, right, nobody really notices been. I mean
- 11:23Speaker 1: it's definitely been Affleck. Say he's a good looking guy
- 11:26Speaker 1: and it's a tall but you don't really get like
- 11:29Speaker 1: star struck over Ben Affleck. And we've been around Jennifer
- 11:31Speaker 1: Gardner and nobody could be more normal. Like, she's just
- 11:34Speaker 1: so cool. I like Jennifer Garden. When jay Loo turns up,
- 11:38Speaker 1: even when she's not trying to be jay Lo, no makeup,
- 11:42Speaker 1: her pulled back in a ponytail. It's jail. But when
- 11:46Speaker 1: she came to visit the Wendy Williams Show where I worked,
- 11:49Speaker 1: even the cleaning people, everyone stopped. Everyone stopped to get
- 11:52Speaker 1: a glimpse of Jennifer Lopez. She is just a worldwide figure,
- 11:55Speaker 1: you know what I mean. It's true, the whole world
- 12:01Speaker 1: just stops for her, and the other kids in the
- 12:04Speaker 1: class are like change those in the audience. I mean,
- 12:07Speaker 1: it's just I do love it. It's nice to see
- 12:12Speaker 1: this family. Really they're connecting and being a modern, blended family.
- 12:18Speaker 1: So God bless them. Okay, Madonna's biopic is not moving forward.
- 12:23Speaker 1: So remember we've been talking about this for I feel
- 12:26Speaker 1: like a year or so that Madonna wanted to turn
- 12:28Speaker 1: her life into a movie. A great idea. They did
- 12:31Speaker 1: it with Queen and Bohebian Rhapsody, Elton John's Rocketman, I
- 12:35Speaker 1: love the Whitney Houston one not quite so successful, and
- 12:40Speaker 1: so they've been doing this a lot. So Madonna wanted
- 12:43Speaker 1: to turn her her life showed an amazing life into
- 12:46Speaker 1: a movie. The problem is Madonna wanted to write the script.
- 12:50Speaker 1: She wanted to she wanted to do the costumes, she
- 12:54Speaker 1: wanted to do the craft services. Like it was a
- 12:56Speaker 1: full Madonna production and it wasn't going to well. Now
- 13:02Speaker 1: the studio is saying, we're not going to move forward.
- 13:04Speaker 1: They're blaming her to us, and Madonna's going out on
- 13:07Speaker 1: this massive world tour. It's selling out, She's doing her
- 13:10Speaker 1: greatest hits. We're finally going to get to hear her,
- 13:13Speaker 1: hear her sing vogue and like a virgin of all
- 13:17Speaker 1: those material girl, which is really what we want. We
- 13:20Speaker 1: want to express yourself. So the tours go now, so
- 13:22Speaker 1: they're blaming the tour, But mindsiders are like, it was
- 13:25Speaker 1: already in trouble. It was, it was in a ton
- 13:27Speaker 1: of trouble. And because it's her life, it's hard to
- 13:31Speaker 1: tell her what to cut or what to eddie it,
- 13:33Speaker 1: or it's hard to be the boss of a project
- 13:36Speaker 1: like that. Have you ever worked with somebody mark where
- 13:38Speaker 1: the show or what they would do and it's just
- 13:40Speaker 1: too close to them. I feel like this must be
- 13:43Speaker 1: the case often with people who have TV shows where
- 13:46Speaker 1: their name is on the show. So if you're on
- 13:48Speaker 1: the view, you've got an ego and I do get it,
- 13:50Speaker 1: but it's the view, so it's all of you together,
- 13:53Speaker 1: but shows that your name is on. I'm not saying
- 13:55Speaker 1: you care more, but it just makes things more difficult.
- 13:58Speaker 1: So I do understand where Madonna's coming from. MARKET do
- 14:00Speaker 1: get it, but you've got to be able to collaborate,
- 14:03Speaker 1: and I'm not sure Madonna can. Yeah, you know, it's
- 14:06Speaker 1: like having a journalist interview a family member. It's like
- 14:08Speaker 1: when it's too close, it's inappropriate. It feels like you're
- 14:11Speaker 1: not gonna get the full story. That's why I agree,
- 14:13Speaker 1: you know, for me and Madonna, I think a tour,
- 14:16Speaker 1: maybe a video behind the scenes video of the tour
- 14:18Speaker 1: be fun, Maybe an updated memoir of some kind of nice.
- 14:22Speaker 1: But I think I could wait another ten years for
- 14:24Speaker 1: the movie. I don't think, yeah I could. You're right,
- 14:27Speaker 1: Maybe that's a good idea, Madonna. If you're listening, we're
- 14:30Speaker 1: coming to see you at the garden. I can't wait.
- 14:32Speaker 1: But write a book, make it into a novel, and
- 14:35Speaker 1: then get a filmmaker to turn it into a Ye,
- 14:39Speaker 1: that's what I think i'd do. I'd advise her, why
- 14:41Speaker 1: don't you write your book, do your spare, do your
- 14:44Speaker 1: Harry type book, and then we can turn that into
- 14:49Speaker 1: a movie. Maybe. Hey, Ali Baldwin is clapping back because
- 14:52Speaker 1: he's not in the news enough at the moment, so
- 14:55Speaker 1: we have to have even more of Alec. What is
- 14:57Speaker 1: he up to? Man? MESSI like, okay, so Alec Baldwin
- 15:01Speaker 1: clapped back at the Instagram user who claimed his caption
- 15:04Speaker 1: to a photo showing his wife and son was quote
- 15:07Speaker 1: unquote sexually suggestive. Okay, so it's a refresher of memory.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Rob Baldwin showed off his wife ed Adia Baldwin, Hillary
- 15:14Speaker 1: from Boston, Hilary from Boston getting a backrob from the
- 15:18Speaker 1: couple's six year old son, Leonardo, and wrote quote don't
- 15:22Speaker 1: let the old give me a backroub ploy. So social media,
- 15:27Speaker 1: of course lit up right away. One person wrote sexualizing
- 15:30Speaker 1: children is always so weird, but your own child yikes.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Another person wrote disgusting Rob of course, and Baldwin fashion
- 15:39Speaker 1: He went to the comments and wrote back to these haters,
- 15:41Speaker 1: He wrote, the US as a country fueled by hate,
- 15:46Speaker 1: Like no, because you just don't help yourself. I mean,
- 15:51Speaker 1: you're in a ton of trouble, involuntary manslaughter. That's a
- 15:57Speaker 1: big deal. Posting pictures of the kids. I gotta say
- 16:01Speaker 1: in his defense, I did not think it was sexualized.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I looked at the picture and it looked like kind
- 16:05Speaker 1: of a cute picture of a little boy and his mom.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I think the timing is what bothered me more than
- 16:10Speaker 1: the actual image. But of course he can't let it go.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Alec has to punch back. Hey, We're going to let
- 16:17Speaker 1: it go and take a quick break and we will
- 16:18Speaker 1: be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty but Night Show.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I'm from Shooter with our dear friend Mark Loop. Oh, hey, Loopy,
- 16:27Speaker 1: let's get to the post. Hey. Last show, he talked
- 16:30Speaker 1: about Netflix wanting Megan and Harry to do a reality
- 16:33Speaker 1: show after all the drama around the book Spares. If
- 16:36Speaker 1: you remember, they did six hours six hours of Netflix
- 16:40Speaker 1: and it was all a bit boring. Then the book
- 16:42Speaker 1: came out and it was fabulous, Like he went, he
- 16:45Speaker 1: saved all the juicy stuff for the book. Now that
- 16:47Speaker 1: you would think the Netflix people might be angry or mad,
- 16:50Speaker 1: they are, you know, definitely, like we didn't get the
- 16:53Speaker 1: good stuff, but now they suggesting why don't we do
- 16:58Speaker 1: keeping up with the CIS sixes. Why don't we do that?
- 17:00Speaker 1: You're rolling your I'm here for it. I just don't
- 17:05Speaker 1: they would deliver their goods. And the other problem too,
- 17:08Speaker 1: is that they need the whole family to sign up,
- 17:10Speaker 1: because the two of them just moaning in California isn't
- 17:13Speaker 1: going to be as exciting as William and Kate flipping tables.
- 17:17Speaker 1: We need the whole family to be part of this,
- 17:19Speaker 1: not just the two. What do you think should they
- 17:21Speaker 1: do it? Let's have a look. Said, no, they should
- 17:25Speaker 1: not do it. I think people are starting to get
- 17:27Speaker 1: a little sick of these two. Yeah, I think our
- 17:29Speaker 1: audience is really smart. I'm this is they're oversaturated in
- 17:33Speaker 1: the street is gone. I don't want to hear them
- 17:35Speaker 1: whining about anything it related to their problems. At this point,
- 17:37Speaker 1: we've heard all of the problems. Unless they're going to
- 17:40Speaker 1: give us. Like you're saying, the table flipping and the
- 17:42Speaker 1: hair point, I don't want to see it. They just
- 17:44Speaker 1: don't want to see it. I don't want to see it.
- 17:46Speaker 1: It's so hard, isn't it. When I was a publisher,
- 17:48Speaker 1: said say to my clients, my celebrities all the time,
