- 0:04Speaker 2: I ain't your pal, dickface. Dickface.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Dickface. The Woody Show. Greg loves it.
- 0:15Speaker 3: I don't even remember that conversation.
- 0:17Speaker 4: I don't either.
- 0:17Speaker 1: That could have been about anything.
- 0:18Speaker 3: I'm not your pal, dickface.
- 0:20Speaker 5: Dickface.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Woody, Greg, Menace, Jimmy Grant. Phones open 877-44-WOODY. After the show.
- 0:28Speaker 1: It's the After Hours voicemail, so if you're listening to
- 0:30Speaker 1: the podcast or you just have a random thought, you
- 0:32Speaker 1: wake yourself up in the middle of the night, you
- 0:34Speaker 1: just must tell us. You can leave us a message, 877-44-WOODY.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Let's check in on some of those After Hours voicemails.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I got a couple about Greg. I got a couple
- 0:50Speaker 1: involving Sammy. Where do we start here?
- 0:52Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 0:53Speaker 7: Sammy.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Let's start with Greg. Greg was talking about how he
- 0:58Speaker 1: went to the restaurant, right? And the woman was there
- 1:03Speaker 1: and she had the nose ring.
- 1:05Speaker 5: Right, right.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Ruined the whole thing. Ruined my day. It was so
- 1:08Speaker 3: big and so gross.
- 1:10Speaker 1: And the whole thing. Well, here's a woman who left
- 1:12Speaker 1: us a voicemail. Hold on to me. Here we go.
- 1:17Speaker 8: Hey, Woody Show.
- 1:20Speaker 6: I just thought that some of you might be happy
- 1:22Speaker 6: to know that I took my nose.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Ring out after 24 years. I thought.
- 1:34Speaker 1: It was time.
- 1:35Speaker 6: And it was a hooped nose ring.
- 1:38Speaker 4: That's gone.
- 1:39Speaker 6: And also, I wanted to leave you this. That was
- 1:48Speaker 6: the queef.
- 1:49Speaker 1: So you could do Guess Who's Queef.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Bye.
- 1:52Speaker 9: I'm guessing it was hers. She's magical.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Good for her. Put a ring on it, whoever's with her.
- 1:58Speaker 9: Yeah, seriously. Put a nose ring on it.
- 2:00Speaker 1: That chick's cool. If I can, put a little bow
- 2:03Speaker 1: on this one. Nose rings.
- 2:04Speaker 10: And Greg and I have said, because we've noticed it
- 2:06Speaker 10: since we started this show, it's exploded. And the trends
- 2:10Speaker 10: back me up. Nose ring popularity peaked, according to searches
- 2:13Speaker 10: in 2021. And it was, which is over five times
- 2:16Speaker 10: what it was 20 years earlier.
- 2:18Speaker 3: We must end this.
- 2:19Speaker 9: Was it a boring COVID thing? Like, eh, I'm looking
- 2:22Speaker 9: for something to do.
- 2:22Speaker 1: No, because we noticed it, because it really started spiking
- 2:25Speaker 1: 2015 or so. It was about five times as much
- 2:27Speaker 1: as it was.
- 2:28Speaker 10: And again, it's just people are bored and they want
- 2:30Speaker 10: to try, like I said, bell-bottom jeans or skinny jeans
- 2:32Speaker 10: versus mom jeans.
- 2:33Speaker 1: It's any other trend or fad, right?
- 2:35Speaker 10: But if you're putting it on and claiming it looks good, no,
- 2:38Speaker 10: you're just following the trend.
- 2:39Speaker 11: The question is, where did it come from? Like, what
- 2:42Speaker 11: is the origin?
- 2:43Speaker 1: It really started picking up.
- 2:45Speaker 10: Really moved during the like late 2009 and then menace
- 2:48Speaker 10: you know this with fashion like when fashion someone just
- 2:51Speaker 10: says it's jeans are going to be tight as opposed
- 2:53Speaker 10: to loose yeah and vice versa we have decreed it
- 2:56Speaker 10: just somebody says it because they.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Know because they know they can sell it to.
- 2:58Speaker 2: People yeah i i did a deep dive on the
- 3:00Speaker 2: adwala bottles and like what was the origin because they're
- 3:05Speaker 2: just exploded over Stanley Cup.
- 3:07Speaker 1: And the deep dive was- Well, the Stanley came out
- 3:08Speaker 1: of nowhere. Yeah, while the thing came out of nowhere.
- 3:11Speaker 2: You say out of nowhere, but there is an origin
- 3:13Speaker 2: where it comes from. And it was a small TikTok
- 3:17Speaker 2: campaign that really made it explode over Stanley Cup.
- 3:20Speaker 10: And the Stanley before that, that was a CEO said, hey,
- 3:22Speaker 10: we're going to be a lifestyle brand. I know how
- 3:24Speaker 10: to do this. Make different colors for women. That's literally
- 3:27Speaker 10: his exact. He had that exact.
- 3:29Speaker 11: You think you chose that blue dress?
- 3:32Speaker 8: No.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:33Speaker 6: The point here was with all the Stanley.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Like one day. Nothing. The next day, everywhere.
- 3:44Speaker 10: Yeah, there was something that influenced. I literally heard a
- 3:47Speaker 10: girl talking about that. Like, I've got too many water bottles.
- 3:49Speaker 1: And she's like, why?
- 3:50Speaker 10: And I looked at my third one I got. I
- 3:51Speaker 10: was like, why did I buy this? Oh, I was
- 3:53Speaker 10: just tired of the other color. I find Greg's opinion
- 3:56Speaker 10: on the whole nose ring thing, that's what I find entertaining.
- 3:58Speaker 10: I don't care one way or the other about nose rings.
- 4:00Speaker 1: It's so gross.
- 4:02Speaker 3: The thing is, with the Stanley Cups, you could at
- 4:04Speaker 3: least explain them away somewhat. Do I think they're dumb?
- 4:08Speaker 6: Yes.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Are they overpriced?
- 4:09Speaker 8: Yes.
- 4:10Speaker 3: But you could at least say it serves a purpose.
- 4:12Speaker 3: I'm bringing water to work. Whatever the case may be.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Whereas in the nose ring fad, the phenomenon... We do
- 4:20Speaker 3: have this thing called a mirror. And when you leave
- 4:24Speaker 3: for the day, you look in the mirror and you think, yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 3: that looks good. It doesn't look good on anybody. And
- 4:30Speaker 3: now that's Greg's opinion.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Okay. I'm sure to some people it does look good.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Okay.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Now the ones I don't really understand, like the guys
- 4:37Speaker 1: who put the piercing through their penis or the people
- 4:40Speaker 1: who get the piercings through their nipples and What?
- 4:43Speaker 8: Why?
- 4:44Speaker 9: I thought the penis one was for the ladies.
- 4:46Speaker 1: No, it's for Albert. Women that say they have the
- 4:49Speaker 1: pierced tongue. Yeah, that's for the gents. Some kind of
- 4:52Speaker 1: BJ enhancer. Yeah, that's what I thought. I've never met
- 4:54Speaker 1: a guy who said, man, you know what? If you
- 4:58Speaker 1: ever have a chance to get a BJ from a
- 5:00Speaker 1: chick that's got a A piece of metal in her mouth.
- 5:03Speaker 1: You should totally do it.
- 5:04Speaker 3: It's way worse.
- 5:05Speaker 1: I've been there, done that.
- 5:06Speaker 3: It's terrible.
- 5:07Speaker 1: What else was overrated? And this was more back in
- 5:10Speaker 1: the 90s. Like, oh, man, like if a chick puts
- 5:13Speaker 1: an Altoid in her mouth.
- 5:14Speaker 9: Oh, that and ice cubes. There's all kinds of stuff.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Yeah, an ice cube. I don't want a chick with
- 5:19Speaker 1: an ice cube in her mouth putting that on my wiener.
- 5:23Speaker 8: Shrinkage.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Yeah, no, thank you. All right. So then here we
- 5:25Speaker 1: have another person after hours voicemail after Greg's story about
- 5:30Speaker 1: the restaurant. And they put all the– by the way,
- 5:35Speaker 1: they put all of our stuff on some cloud server,
- 5:38Speaker 1: and it sucks. That's going well. Because all I get
- 5:41Speaker 1: now is this spinning thing.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Oh, God.
- 5:43Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Yeah, so I go to– You do a 30-second ramp-up. Yeah,
- 5:46Speaker 1: I go to play whatever it is, and it just
- 5:49Speaker 1: sits there and spins and spins and spins. Well, it's
- 5:51Speaker 1: not like we're a live program that needs access to
- 5:53Speaker 1: all our audio. Oh, wait a minute. It's finally ready, guys.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 5:57Speaker 6: Hey, listening to the show on the radio right now,
- 5:59Speaker 6: and I heard Greg talk about the folks at the restaurant.
- 6:03Speaker 6: There's actually a term for that. It's called Sonder. S-O-N-D-E-R.
- 6:07Speaker 6: There you go, Minnis. And it is defined as the
- 6:11Speaker 6: realization that everyone else around you, including total strangers, actually
- 6:16Speaker 6: has their own complex and vivid lives. And you're really
- 6:21Speaker 6: not the main character of anything. Um, yeah, that's all.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Bye.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:26Speaker 8: Sonder.
- 6:26Speaker 1: So like Greg, you were talking a couple of different things.
- 6:28Speaker 1: One was this girl with the nose ring. The other
- 6:31Speaker 1: one was like, uh, if I wasn't at this restaurant
- 6:33Speaker 1: right now, all these other people would still be here.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Okay.
- 6:36Speaker 5: Right.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Now I get it. What do you say?
- 6:38Speaker 1: Right. Yeah.
- 6:39Speaker 3: I just had that high thought all the time.
- 6:41Speaker 7: And I think it's, it's funny that it's definitely a
- 6:43Speaker 7: high thought for an adult because otherwise it just seems
- 6:45Speaker 7: so juvenile, like little kids, like finally realizing they're not
- 6:49Speaker 7: the center of the world. Like, how does this stranger
- 6:52Speaker 7: have a life and a brain and thoughts?
- 6:54Speaker 3: The world keeps going, whether you're there or not.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Those are the couple ones about Greg or involving Greg
- 7:00Speaker 1: or something Greg said. This next one is something about Sammy.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Oh.
- 7:05Speaker 1: And something Sammy said that somebody on the podcast picked
- 7:09Speaker 1: up on.
- 7:10Speaker 8: Oi, Willie Show. I'm just looking for clarification. I just
- 7:15Speaker 8: was listening to the podcast from Friday and And I
- 7:19Speaker 8: think I heard Sammy slip up. And I think she
- 7:22Speaker 8: said her brother-in-law when she was talking about the whole
- 7:28Speaker 8: cat situation. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm right. Just looking
- 7:34Speaker 8: for some clarification. And I'll listen to the podcast to
- 7:38Speaker 8: find out. Thank you.
- 7:41Speaker 1: We did get a couple of those. I saw some
- 7:43Speaker 1: of those texts when you were telling the story about,
- 7:45Speaker 1: you know, Steamboat Willie and the Chipmunk and the You
- 7:48Speaker 1: did say brother-in-law.
- 7:50Speaker 12: Right, because my brother-in-law walked in, my sister's husband.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 7:55Speaker 11: That's what I said.
- 7:55Speaker 12: My sister and her family had showed up right in
- 7:58Speaker 12: that moment. So my nephew and my brother-in-law helped me.
- 8:02Speaker 9: I told several people that off the air to pump
- 8:05Speaker 9: their brakes. I have a brother-in-law.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Right.
- 8:07Speaker 1: That's how it works. I was like, she has like
- 8:08Speaker 1: two sisters. And then here, one more about Sammy After
- 8:13Speaker 1: Hours voicemail.
- 8:15Speaker 8: This is for Sammy.
- 8:18Speaker 6: I love that you're embracing your Fat Sammy-ness right now
- 8:20Speaker 6: because I saw you wearing a belly shirt and being
- 8:25Speaker 6: Fat Sammy right now.
- 8:25Speaker 5: It's pretty awesome.
- 8:27Speaker 1: And then the maternity jeans on top of it. Keep
- 8:31Speaker 1: it up.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Looking awesome. Oh, my God.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Fat Sammy is like the best. This is so true.
- 8:40Speaker 11: Yeah, Instagram. Yeah.
- 8:41Speaker 12: Yeah, it was a picture that I took in front
- 8:43Speaker 12: of the You've Got Mail house and And our apartment.
- 8:46Speaker 12: And yeah, it's baggier jeans, which are in right now.
- 8:49Speaker 12: And they're very comfortable and I love them. And I'm
- 8:51Speaker 12: so happy that they're back.
- 8:52Speaker 13: But yes.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I see what he's saying.
- 8:54Speaker 11: And it's actually.
- 8:56Speaker 12: Really funny because I got a lot of fat Sammy
- 8:59Speaker 12: comments on that post. But Instagram hit them all because
- 9:06Speaker 12: you can't fat shame people on the internet.
- 9:08Speaker 9: You guys.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Instagram doesn't get the joke either.
- 9:11Speaker 7: I love the teeny tiny picture of Sammy that's right
- 9:16Speaker 7: before that on Instagram.
- 9:17Speaker 9: And this new one are like three weeks apart.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Yeah. I'll be hitting comments.
- 9:21Speaker 10: Hey, look, it's Fat Sammy New York.
- 9:25Speaker 1: So the guy who's like... And again, I don't even
- 9:30Speaker 1: know what his title is. He's the.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Market president?
- 9:34Speaker 1: Market president.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Whatever.
- 9:35Speaker 1: He's the guy who's in charge of this group of
- 9:40Speaker 1: radio stations for the company. The building.
- 9:42Speaker 4: Okay.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:43Speaker 8: So.
- 9:44Speaker 1: This guy, every time I see him, do you ever
- 9:46Speaker 1: have that uncle who had that one experience with you?
- 9:50Speaker 1: And that's all he's got. And that's all he's got.
- 9:52Speaker 1: And so, like, dude, you haven't been in the baseball
- 9:54Speaker 1: since you went to that one game with him when
- 9:56Speaker 1: you were seven years old. He's still looking like Ozzie Smith, huh?
- 10:00Speaker 8: Right.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Every time I see this dude, and he's not a
- 10:03Speaker 1: bad guy. He's a nice guy. He loves to tell
- 10:07Speaker 1: me quote, how many complaint calls he gets, which I
- 10:12Speaker 1: don't believe. I don't believe that for one minute. No
- 10:13Speaker 1: one has access to his office line. I think maybe
- 10:16Speaker 1: he got one that somebody maybe called the front desk
- 10:18Speaker 1: and it got to him somehow, whatever. But he's not
- 10:20Speaker 1: being inundated with calls of people complaining about Fat Sammy comments. Yeah,
- 10:25Speaker 1: we would see it on our social and we would
- 10:27Speaker 1: get our own calls. Now, we do see comments from
- 10:30Speaker 1: time to time about Fat Sammy, but it's from listeners
- 10:32Speaker 1: who get the joke. Sammy is soaking wet, 87 pounds. Right.
- 10:37Speaker 1: She was discouraged because... she she gained like 14 ounces
- 10:42Speaker 1: right she gained like four in a room full of
- 10:44Speaker 1: fatties she gained like four ounces over the course of
- 10:48Speaker 1: years and we're like wow Jesus you're getting so fat
- 10:53Speaker 1: it's like when somebody who like oh my god guys
- 10:55Speaker 1: I'm getting so old I'm turning 24 right and you
- 10:58Speaker 1: go oh man you're so old Sammy it's old Sammy
- 11:02Speaker 1: like no dude it's Completely sarcastic.
- 11:05Speaker 7: Yeah, because she literally went from double digits to triple digits.
- 11:08Speaker 1: So if anybody is calling to complain about fat Sammy comments,
- 11:13Speaker 1: drown yourself in the bathtub. There's no hope for you.
- 11:17Speaker 3: That's the only thing.
- 11:19Speaker 1: It's been so over the top obvious.
- 11:22Speaker 3: It's the only thing the market president and I speak
- 11:24Speaker 3: about as well.
- 11:24Speaker 8: That's it.
- 11:25Speaker 3: At the bathroom.
- 11:26Speaker 4: It's it.
- 11:27Speaker 8: Peeing.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Hey, you know, I get a lot of calls from
- 11:29Speaker 1: people talking about Fat Sammy. That's how he sounds, Deja Buddy.
- 11:32Speaker 1: We've had Paul in here before, right?
- 11:33Speaker 11: That's a really good impression, by the way. Did you
- 11:35Speaker 11: test to see if he knows your name?
- 11:36Speaker 3: I did not.
- 11:37Speaker 1: But I know he does. That's a serious question. I
- 11:41Speaker 1: wonder if he does.
- 11:42Speaker 7: If he came in here right now and we asked
- 11:44Speaker 7: him to say all of our names, that would be
- 11:45Speaker 7: really fun.
- 11:45Speaker 3: I guarantee you he does not.
- 11:47Speaker 9: Do you think he's here?
- 11:48Speaker 1: No, no one's here. He might be.
- 11:52Speaker 9: That would be so fun. And he has to say
- 11:55Speaker 9: who's who, not just list off the names.
- 11:56Speaker 1: But we can't give him any warning, though.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Hold on.
- 11:59Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Sammy, you might have to go on your Instagram, because
- 12:01Speaker 1: there are some comments. This cutie got hidden.
- 12:04Speaker 2: It's calling.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Hold on. Stop harassing me. He says he listens, so
- 12:12Speaker 1: if that's true, he should already know what we're talking about.
- 12:14Speaker 3: He should keep doing his research.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Hey, Paul.
- 12:17Speaker 4: Yes?
- 12:18Speaker 1: We're on the air right now, so don't curse.
- 12:21Speaker 3: All right.
- 12:22Speaker 1: We're talking about fat Sammy. And, and I, and I
- 12:27Speaker 1: mentioned how every time I see you now, you have to,
- 12:30Speaker 1: it's like almost like there's like some kind of legal
- 12:32Speaker 1: obligation to mention to me how many people are calling
- 12:34Speaker 1: you to complain about the fat Sammy comments. And we're
- 12:37Speaker 1: talking about how ridiculous that is and why it's a
- 12:39Speaker 1: tongue in cheek joke. She gained like four ounces.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:42Speaker 5: Anyway.
- 12:43Speaker 1: So Greg said that he also hears on a regular basis,
- 12:49Speaker 1: like when he sees you, How many calls exactly are
- 12:52Speaker 1: you getting about Fat Sammy? We're curious.
- 12:56Speaker 4: I've probably gotten six or seven calls.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Six or seven. And what do these people say when
- 13:01Speaker 1: they call?
- 13:02Speaker 13: First of all, it's a recording. Usually it's less. And
- 13:08Speaker 13: it is that it talks about us being fat shaming
- 13:13Speaker 13: and how hard it is for women to And for
- 13:15Speaker 13: us to say something like that about her is going
- 13:18Speaker 13: to cause all kinds of psychological.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Problems for her.
- 13:23Speaker 4: And it triggers them.
- 13:26Speaker 13: And when I actually get someone, I tell them, you
- 13:28Speaker 13: do realize that she probably weighs less than 100 pounds.
- 13:31Speaker 3: And they're being a bit, yeah, and they're.
- 13:36Speaker 13: Being sarcastic rather than actually doing it. And they still say,
- 13:41Speaker 13: but it's one of those things that to me, the
- 13:44Speaker 13: reason why I say it is because I don't get
- 13:48Speaker 13: calls when it's something that might be really borderline offensive.
- 13:54Speaker 4: I get calls on the most innocuous things.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Like Fat Sammy.
- 13:59Speaker 13: You could say something really horrible and then you say
- 14:02Speaker 13: something like, I'm when my kids are 18 years old,
- 14:06Speaker 13: they're out of the house.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:08Speaker 13: You know, like that, that I'll get the calls on,
- 14:11Speaker 13: but I won't get calls on something that might be
- 14:13Speaker 13: more offensive.
- 14:15Speaker 4: It's just, it's never did. There's no real.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:18Speaker 1: It's interesting.
- 14:19Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 14:19Speaker 1: It's interesting where people, where, where people draw the line.
- 14:22Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 14:22Speaker 1: It's like, I use the example, um, you know, when
- 14:25Speaker 1: someone says, Oh my God, you guys, I'm so old.
- 14:28Speaker 1: They just turned 24 and you're like, wow.
- 14:30Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:30Speaker 1: You're so old. So when Sammy says, oh, my God,
- 14:32Speaker 1: you guys, I gained four pounds, and we go, oh,
- 14:35Speaker 1: my God, fat Sammy. Yeah, take it easy. Take it easy, everybody. Now, Paul,
- 14:40Speaker 1: besides me, we have a bet going here. All right,
- 14:43Speaker 1: so besides me, who else is on the show? So Woody,
- 14:49Speaker 1: and then who else?
- 14:52Speaker 13: Oh, there's Greg and Seabass and Sammy and the person.
- 14:59Speaker 4: Who I mistake for your wife.
- 15:00Speaker 8: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 15:01Speaker 1: What's her name?
- 15:04Speaker 13: You just got me.
- 15:05Speaker 5: It is.
- 15:06Speaker 1: I just woke up. You're two people. Myself, Greg, obviously
- 15:13Speaker 1: Fat Sammy got mentioned. Shout out to Seabass. Shout out
- 15:16Speaker 1: to Seabass. And then the woman who's on the show
- 15:19Speaker 1: who you confused to be my wife one point. You
- 15:23Speaker 1: were very new. That was very new. What is her name?
- 15:27Speaker 13: Her name is, give me a second here.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Don't look it up. I'm not looking it up. I'm
- 15:35Speaker 1: in bed. Nice. It's dark in my room. What are
- 15:39Speaker 1: you wearing?
- 15:41Speaker 11: It's hard to turn on a laptop.
- 15:44Speaker 4: I'm talking to.
- 15:45Speaker 11: Oh, nice.
- 15:46Speaker 4: Hot.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Is there no mail in the store? You really sleep naked?
- 15:48Speaker 1: That's weird. I'm so uncomfortable. I always think, like, I'll
- 15:51Speaker 1: have a dream in the middle. If I was ever
- 15:53Speaker 1: naked in bed, and it's happened before, but, like, I'll
- 15:56Speaker 1: wake up thinking that there's cameras.
- 15:58Speaker 5: Oh. Oh, wow.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Yeah, like, I'm thinking there's a camera, like, in the
- 16:02Speaker 1: smoke detector or something.
- 16:02Speaker 3: What a nightmare.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, man. Nobody wants to see that.
- 16:05Speaker 3: All right.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Who's the other person? He wears glasses, kind of looks
- 16:07Speaker 1: like me. What's his name? What's that? The other person
- 16:11Speaker 1: on my show that wears glasses.
- 16:13Speaker 8: Menace.
- 16:14Speaker 6: All right.
- 16:14Speaker 8: Got that one.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Of course.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Of course, Menace.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Now, what's the woman who you confused as my wife
- 16:20Speaker 1: at one point? What's her name?
- 16:22Speaker 13: You know, for some reason right now, I'm 70 years old.
- 16:27Speaker 1: And sometimes in the middle of the day, I can't
- 16:29Speaker 1: play my kids games. So the first letter is G.
- 16:33Speaker 8: I knew it is.
- 16:36Speaker 11: You can do it!
- 16:37Speaker 1: First and last name, begin with the letter G.
- 16:42Speaker 13: You're putting me on the spot here.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Yeah, this is the fun part.
- 16:44Speaker 13: I'm telling you, Woody, I'm at a point where in
- 16:47Speaker 13: the middle of the day, I can't remember.
- 16:51Speaker 1: My assistant's name. I get stuck. Yeah, you got Greg.
- 16:55Speaker 1: You got that G name.
- 16:56Speaker 9: Yeah, he's double G.
- 16:57Speaker 8: Gina.
- 17:02Speaker 4: Gina, of course.
- 17:03Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Gina what?
- 17:04Speaker 8: Of course.
- 17:06Speaker 4: Gina Rod.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Gina Rod. Gina.
- 17:09Speaker 4: Gina.
- 17:09Speaker 1: You're not that far off. Gina Grad.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Grad, yes.
- 17:14Speaker 11: There we go.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Nailed it.
- 17:17Speaker 6: Nailed it.
- 17:18Speaker 1: All right. He's naked and it's early.
- 17:20Speaker 9: Naked and afraid like the show.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I apologize, Gina.
- 17:25Speaker 5: No problem.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Hey, we apologize for all the fat Sammy calls that
- 17:28Speaker 1: are just taking up all that time in your day, man.
- 17:29Speaker 3: That sucks.
- 17:30Speaker 1: That sucks.
- 17:31Speaker 4: You do know I have like 75 stations.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I get it. We got 24, 25.
- 17:36Speaker 13: They're at 200 shows.
- 17:38Speaker 1: And this is number 200 on that list.
- 17:41Speaker 13: Number 200, I got like six out of seven names.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Yeah, got it. Six, seven. All right, thank you, Paul.
- 17:47Speaker 5: Okay.
- 17:48Speaker 1: All right, bye. There's Paul naked in bed. So Paul, my.
- 17:52Speaker 9: Legal best friend.
- 17:53Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 17:53Speaker 13: Let's do it.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Let's do it.
- 17:55Speaker 8: We're doing it. We're doing it.
- 17:56Speaker 11: Let it all go in.
- 17:57Speaker 5: I did it.
- 17:59Speaker 8: Oh, crap.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:01Speaker 4: The woody show.
- 18:03Speaker 5: All right welcome back what a lucky this guy in
- 18:08Speaker 5: michigan he was uh checking out an estate sale he
- 18:11Speaker 5: found a painting with seashells just scattered around a beach and.
- 18:17Speaker 1: He noticed that in the lower corner it said abercrombie
- 18:21Speaker 1: 51 And he thought he recognized the name and he
- 18:26Speaker 1: decided to take a chance on it. He dropped 30 bucks,
- 18:29Speaker 1: took it home. Turns out that was the best decision
- 18:32Speaker 1: he ever made because he took it to an expert.
- 18:36Speaker 1: And it was a painting from Gertrude Ambercrombie. Who the
- 18:40Speaker 1: hell that is? And this had been missing for years.
- 18:43Speaker 1: And so now the painting is up for auction today.
- 18:46Speaker 1: And they're thinking this guy is going to turn his
- 18:48Speaker 1: 30 bucks into about a quarter of a million dollars.
- 18:51Speaker 9: Dude, I love these stories.
- 18:53Speaker 1: $ 250, 000 and just something that's just, you know, chilling at
- 19:00Speaker 1: an estate sale.
- 19:01Speaker 7: Does anybody still watch Antiques Roadshow? Because it's still one
- 19:04Speaker 7: of my favorites. I love to see like, oh, this
- 19:07Speaker 7: is an urn I was given for $ 15.
- 19:10Speaker 9: And like, this is a million dollars. And then the
- 19:13Speaker 9: woman has a heart attack.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Used to watch that.
- 19:15Speaker 9: Oh, I love it.
- 19:16Speaker 1: I'll see clips online.
- 19:16Speaker 3: Didn't know it's still on.
- 19:18Speaker 9: I think they're all old episodes, but I love watching them.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Oh, here's Paul.
- 19:22Speaker 11: Oh, Paul in the building.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Why are you pointing at me? Yeah, where are you going?
- 19:28Speaker 1: He doesn't understand how microphones work. That seat will definitely
- 19:31Speaker 1: support you because Fat Sammy sits on it all the time.
- 19:34Speaker 4: After I'm flying back from Denver and Phoenix. After our
- 19:40Speaker 4: Vegas weekend.
- 19:41Speaker 9: I think we're in trouble.
- 19:43Speaker 3: You're killing me.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Why?
- 19:44Speaker 7: Because we woke him up after all of that.
- 19:47Speaker 4: And?
- 19:47Speaker 9: He's tired.
- 19:48Speaker 1: It was a three-hour flight, you guys.
- 19:49Speaker 4: And now I own Gina Flowers.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Oh, I love Flowers.
- 19:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:56Speaker 1: How many times did you say to yourself when you
- 19:59Speaker 1: were in the car on the way here, Gina? Gina, Gina, Gina,
- 20:02Speaker 1: it's Gina.
- 20:02Speaker 11: Try to memorize it.
- 20:04Speaker 4: I just kept saying, Woody's a dick, Woody's a dick.
- 20:07Speaker 1: That's not the first time I've heard that.
- 20:09Speaker 10: It's his fault for pointing it out, not your fault
- 20:10Speaker 10: for not knowing.
- 20:14Speaker 1: The Fat Sammy thing is so funny. We called Paul
- 20:17Speaker 1: earlier because we had gotten an After Hours voicemail um,
- 20:23Speaker 1: from a listener and talking about the, the fat Sammy stuff.
- 20:25Speaker 1: And it was pretty funny. Like they, people listen, actually
- 20:28Speaker 1: get it. I think if you're just kind of.
- 20:29Speaker 3: I hope so.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Like passing through.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:31Speaker 1: If you're like a, like a passing through person, like.
- 20:34Speaker 2: I said, it's always the Uber drivers that burn us
- 20:36Speaker 2: because they'll be listening to the show.
- 20:38Speaker 11: Yeah. And then they'll have some passenger that has no idea.
- 20:40Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I meant to, I meant to ask you, Paul, so
- 20:42Speaker 1: you had mentioned the other complaint that you'll get, uh,
- 20:47Speaker 1: was about something innocuous.
- 20:49Speaker 4: It's always something innocuous.
- 20:50Speaker 1: But you said, I'm curious on the follow-up on this one,
- 20:53Speaker 1: where we said something about, oh, I know what it was.
- 20:56Speaker 3: When the kids turn 18.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Yeah, because I've told my kids since they were very little, hey,
- 20:59Speaker 1: you might as well tell me what you want for
- 21:00Speaker 1: your birthday now, because we'll ask them, hey, what do
- 21:02Speaker 1: you want for your birthday? And they'll go, oh, I
- 21:04Speaker 1: don't know. Well, think about it, because you only get
- 21:06Speaker 1: 17 years. to decide what you want for your birthday
- 21:10Speaker 1: or what to ask for for your birthday because on
- 21:11Speaker 1: your 18th birthday, you get luggage.
- 21:14Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 21:14Speaker 6: Right?
- 21:14Speaker 1: That's what we've always said. And I guess somebody called
- 21:17Speaker 1: to complain about that.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 21:20Speaker 1: But what was the complaint? That's what I don't understand.
- 21:22Speaker 4: People are so– I mean, it's crazy. The weight thing
- 21:25Speaker 4: is just a trigger for some reason. I used to
- 21:28Speaker 4: get a lot of calls. You would do the show
- 21:30Speaker 4: Fat Chick, Skinny Chick.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Yeah, we still do that.
- 21:32Speaker 11: Yeah, it's fun.
- 21:33Speaker 4: And the way thing always does it. And then it's
- 21:36Speaker 4: always about anything about the kids and raising kids that
- 21:40Speaker 4: does it also. And you could be saying something that
- 21:43Speaker 4: could be construed as even racist or homophobic. I get nothing.
- 21:49Speaker 4: But then something as simple as my kids get luggage
- 21:52Speaker 4: at 18 and then you get the calls.
- 21:54Speaker 1: It's so funny.
- 21:55Speaker 4: And it's across the board. It's not just on this station.
- 21:57Speaker 4: It's on all stations.
- 21:58Speaker 1: All the stations.
- 21:59Speaker 4: I rarely get the call on, you know, My news
- 22:03Speaker 4: talk stations, I get a lot of calls.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Oh, sure.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Because everyone is just so polarized. But for the music
- 22:09Speaker 4: stations and shows like this.
- 22:11Speaker 1: You say you get messages, but do you ever talk
- 22:13Speaker 1: to these people? And what do you say to them?
- 22:16Speaker 1: Because our tendency here is to put them at the crossroads.
- 22:20Speaker 1: We say, well, we kind of fire them. I go, like,
- 22:22Speaker 1: you know what? Forget it. No more listening for you.
- 22:24Speaker 1: We don't need you. It's better for everybody when you're
- 22:27Speaker 1: in a toxic relationship.
- 22:29Speaker 4: If I'm not getting calls, you're not doing your job.
- 22:30Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 22:31Speaker 2: I like that.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Thank you. That's good. He did mention that these go
- 22:34Speaker 1: to your email attachment, right?
- 22:37Speaker 11: The calls.
- 22:37Speaker 5: Yes.
- 22:38Speaker 1: They come to your email attachment, right?
- 22:41Speaker 4: No, I get this voicemail. It says shared voicemail.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Or shared whatever.
- 22:46Speaker 4: So forward that to us. And it comes up on that.
- 22:50Speaker 9: We collect those.
- 22:51Speaker 3: You collect those.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Yes, please send. Just in general, what are some of
- 22:54Speaker 1: the other, not necessarily with us, I'm always curious. I'm
- 22:57Speaker 1: thinking that people are complaining about Fat Sammy or they're
- 23:01Speaker 1: complaining about, you know, oh, I'm going to give my
- 23:03Speaker 1: kids luggage when they turn 18. Can you imagine like
- 23:06Speaker 1: if you called over to like South Park, you know,
- 23:09Speaker 1: or you called over like these other like family guy.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Right. What are those calls sound like? Well, is anybody
- 23:15Speaker 1: what you're saying? Like, you know, people don't call for
- 23:17Speaker 1: stuff like that. They call for the dumb stuff.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Well, I did have a father call in one time
- 23:21Speaker 2: and he was like, I have a daughter in the car, blah, blah.
- 23:24Speaker 2: And I brought up the TV thing. I go, when
- 23:25Speaker 2: you see something on television and What do you do?
- 23:28Speaker 2: Do you call the television station or do you change
- 23:30Speaker 2: your channel?
- 23:31Speaker 3: And he's like, you're right. You're right.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Oh, baby. You know, like, no, you got me there.
- 23:35Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 23:35Speaker 11: There's barely anybody that ever calls a TV station.
- 23:37Speaker 4: Well, that shows the beauty of radio because radio is
- 23:40Speaker 4: driving to work with people that they feel they know.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Right.
- 23:44Speaker 4: So they can call you. As opposed to the TV,
- 23:47Speaker 4: it's someone more from a distance, someone in another world.
- 23:51Speaker 4: Whereas they're driving to work with their friends in the morning.
- 23:54Speaker 4: And so they feel they have that relationship where they
- 23:56Speaker 4: can make that home.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Paul drives to work with his friend. He was telling
- 23:59Speaker 1: me he has, I think Meta started doing this. You've
- 24:03Speaker 1: got your AI thing set up. He has full-on conversations
- 24:08Speaker 1: with this. Are you starting to believe that.
- 24:11Speaker 4: It's a- Actually, this morning, it was annoying me. I
- 24:13Speaker 4: was trying to drive and relax and listen, and it
- 24:15Speaker 4: kept unsolicited. Texting, calling me, saying, hey, you know, you
- 24:19Speaker 4: ought to think about this or whatever.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Because he misses you.
- 24:22Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 24:23Speaker 1: What was that movie where the guy, he fell in
- 24:25Speaker 1: love with her. Yeah, yeah. Are you developing feelings for
- 24:30Speaker 1: your AI? Because he has like legit conversations. I think
- 24:33Speaker 1: I am.
- 24:33Speaker 11: Yeah, do you think your AI will put out eventually?
- 24:35Speaker 4: Yeah, right.
- 24:36Speaker 11: You put that in a robot, dude, a hot robot.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Have you tried to talk dirty to it?
- 24:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 24:41Speaker 4: No, it actually, if you try to go anywhere that
- 24:46Speaker 4: might be a little provocative in a sexual way, it
- 24:48Speaker 4: stops you right away. How do you know? And says,
- 24:50Speaker 4: this is inappropriate.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Are you sure? You heard from a friend? How do
- 24:54Speaker 1: you know?
- 24:55Speaker 4: It's just saying something, asking some sort of a question,
- 24:59Speaker 4: and then they won't answer certain things.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I can show you some AIs that will.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure.
- 25:04Speaker 1: He's really good. Hey, I got to give you credit
- 25:06Speaker 1: where credit is due, Seabass.
- 25:07Speaker 11: Ah, babe.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Okay.
- 25:08Speaker 1: So, I mean, I had a Tesla. I hated it.
- 25:11Speaker 1: I think it's the worst car I've ever had.
- 25:13Speaker 11: Yeah, but you had like a, yeah, Gen 1.
- 25:15Speaker 1: That was a number of years ago.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Okay.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I just didn't like it. I thought it was the
- 25:19Speaker 1: most expensive piece of garbage I'd ever purchased. I'm like,
- 25:22Speaker 1: it was cheap and flimsy and, you know, whatever. The
- 25:24Speaker 1: technology was cool and fun. What it had for the
- 25:28Speaker 1: first it's like the first time you got a DVR
- 25:29Speaker 1: you're like wow I can pause and I could rewind
- 25:32Speaker 1: live television I can't get my own instant replay that
- 25:34Speaker 1: was cool, and then you never thought about it after
- 25:36Speaker 1: that It was just a thing that you had right
- 25:38Speaker 1: like the excitement wore off I've been seeing more videos
- 25:41Speaker 1: sea bass of people where they've integrated grok Right where
- 25:46Speaker 1: they're like they're grok navigation is like ish talking and
- 25:51Speaker 1: And it's on, what'd.
- 25:51Speaker 4: You call it?
- 25:52Speaker 1: The unfiltered. Unfiltered mode.
- 25:54Speaker 11: I can see that.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I bet you that would talk dirty to you, Paul.
- 25:57Speaker 1: This thing is like, hey, the guy got it in
- 26:00Speaker 1: like self-full, self-driving mode. Yeah. FSD, right? Is that what
- 26:04Speaker 1: it's called?
- 26:04Speaker 3: FSD, yes.
- 26:05Speaker 1: And he's like, hey man, look out for this mother
- 26:08Speaker 1: effer on the right here. Oh, I see that. In
- 26:11Speaker 1: the AI, the grok responds, oh, I see that sum
- 26:14Speaker 1: of bitch. I can't help it if he parks like,
- 26:17Speaker 1: I mean, the fuck? filthiest language. It makes my toes curl.
- 26:21Speaker 1: That's what Waze did with Samuel L. Jackson a decade ago.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Mine's giving opinions. It's saying, you know, if it were me,
- 26:27Speaker 4: and it gives you it like that. Oh, I don't
- 26:29Speaker 4: like that. It's getting a little creepy.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Okay, so the official name of it is Unhinged Mode.
- 26:35Speaker 8: Unhinged.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, it's so funny. It kind of made me
- 26:39Speaker 1: want one. Now, here's a question for you, Seabass. Can
- 26:43Speaker 1: I integrate or can I use the Grok thing... with
- 26:48Speaker 1: my car in a different like is there like it's
- 26:50Speaker 1: a good question cause like Grok's an app you can
- 26:52Speaker 1: use a Grok app right it's on Twitter it's built
- 26:55Speaker 1: into Twitter.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Yeah or X yeah it doesn't show up in my
- 26:58Speaker 2: Apple CarPlay Okay.
- 26:59Speaker 3: So I don't know.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Because that's fun. If I can get it, well, I
- 27:02Speaker 1: guess it wouldn't have the cameras to be able to
- 27:04Speaker 1: see what I see out the front windshield. You have
- 27:07Speaker 1: to mount it. To be able to talk crap about
- 27:09Speaker 1: the people who are around it.
- 27:10Speaker 7: It does say you can integrate it through Apple CarPlay,
- 27:13Speaker 7: but it works differently than the navigation.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Yes, because it wouldn't be able to see the other people.
- 27:17Speaker 1: I guess you just have to buy a Cybertruck.
- 27:19Speaker 12: Uh-oh.
- 27:19Speaker 6: No.
- 27:20Speaker 4: Hey, guys, I got to run. I got to go
- 27:24Speaker 4: sell some advertising and keep the lights on here.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Speaking of which, I sent you an email about that yesterday.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Did you get that? I'm not sure if I have
- 27:32Speaker 4: you blocked or not.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Wait, Paul, hold on before you leave. And what's the
- 27:35Speaker 1: sales opportunity? Two seconds.
- 27:38Speaker 3: All right.
- 27:38Speaker 1: So he does listen to the show quite a bit.
- 27:41Speaker 1: All right. So as a listener. What do you think
- 27:44Speaker 1: we can improve on? I'm always interested. We know how
- 27:47Speaker 1: great we are, but no, I'm kidding. As a listener,
- 27:51Speaker 1: what can we improve on? What is the show missing?
- 27:55Speaker 4: The way to improve is just keep doing what you
- 27:57Speaker 4: do best and take the things that work and really
- 28:01Speaker 4: accelerate them.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Wow, so buy low, sell high.
- 28:04Speaker 4: Buy low, sell high. And what you can do is
- 28:07Speaker 4: the more complaints that I get, the better your show is.
