- 2:53Speaker 2: a really good Okay, there we go, Jazz there. I
- 3:00Speaker 2: don't want to just jump in on our Hey, Jazzy,
- 3:02Speaker 2: you good, Hey, Yeah, I don't know what happened.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 3:06Speaker 2: That's okay. Technical difficulties happen all the time. That's what
- 3:09Speaker 2: we do.
- 3:09Speaker 3: No, but I'm here, I'm here. Let's do that's a.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Whole money right there. Like I said, technical difficulties happen
- 3:17Speaker 2: all the time. But I was just introducing everybody to
- 3:19Speaker 2: the show, waiting on some people to tap in, make
- 3:22Speaker 2: sure that we get a good audience tonight. But I
- 3:25Speaker 2: just wanted to go ahead and reintroduce you. Thank you

- 3:31Speaker 2: You got a lot going on with you. So how
- 3:33Speaker 2: are you feeling tonight? I'm good, I'm good.
- 3:36Speaker 3: I'm glad to be here, and I'm ready to rack
- 3:38Speaker 3: it out.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Let's do.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Well. While we are waiting for everybody to tap in,
- 3:45Speaker 2: I just want to go ahead and do this little
- 3:49Speaker 2: side note that tonight we will have to interrupt our
- 3:53Speaker 2: viewer's originally scheduled program, which was an actual entrepreneur panel.
- 3:59Speaker 2: But that's okay. We still have a great message for
- 4:01Speaker 2: you tonight, and if you're still interested in joining the
- 4:04Speaker 2: entrepreneurship panel, reach out to me. Still have some time
- 4:07Speaker 2: to do that, so contact me, DM me all those things,
- 4:10Speaker 2: to be a guest or just be part of the conversation. Okay. So,
- 4:15Speaker 2: but while we are talking about not being able to
- 4:20Speaker 2: do what we regularly scheduled to do, we're going to
- 4:24Speaker 2: talk about our subject tonight, which is moving forward, right Yay.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Everybody wants to move forward in life. We don't want
- 4:30Speaker 2: to be stuck all those things. So so with that
- 4:35Speaker 2: being said, let's get down to business first order operations.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Jesse and I were discussing this topic for about a
- 4:44Speaker 2: week now and just thinking about what we had to
- 4:49Speaker 2: do to move forward. We got we both have things
- 4:51Speaker 2: coming up and we just want to kind of stay
- 4:53Speaker 2: on track. No U turning right, So what I want
- 4:57Speaker 2: to talk about first and foremost is wasting our energy
- 5:01Speaker 2: on fixed fights. Fixed fights. I don't know if you
- 5:05Speaker 2: know what that means. But I've come to learn that
- 5:07Speaker 2: fixed fights in your life that you're really not destined
- 5:10Speaker 2: or purpose to win, you know, not your battle kind
- 5:13Speaker 2: of thing. You get things to God, stuff that you
- 5:16Speaker 2: just spin your wheel on. I've come to learn that
- 5:21Speaker 2: sometimes you you know, try to fight something or change
- 5:24Speaker 2: something in your life, and you end up changing it
- 5:27Speaker 2: and really messing it up from the plan. Gotta go
- 5:30Speaker 2: with the plan. And then sometimes you attempt to try
- 5:34Speaker 2: to do something and change something in your life and
- 5:35Speaker 2: you don't change anything at all at all. But both
- 5:38Speaker 2: times you end up just wasting energy right that you're
- 5:40Speaker 2: not even supposed to be using on stuff. So despite
- 5:43Speaker 2: and so you know, you gotta you pray on that discernment,
- 5:48Speaker 2: and you gotta know when to give your energy to
- 5:50Speaker 2: something and when not to. An example in my own
- 5:53Speaker 2: life is I've worked for UH to different companies two
- 5:58Speaker 2: different times, and there was a time where I had to,
- 6:01Speaker 2: you know, fight for my rights, if you will, all
- 6:03Speaker 2: the way up to litigation, and with God's guidance and
- 6:08Speaker 2: with the things that I knew were right, I was
- 6:11Speaker 2: able to do what I needed to do. On another occasion,
- 6:14Speaker 2: it didn't work out like that. Same situation, different application,
- 6:20Speaker 2: and so I learned that, No, you follow the plan,
- 6:24Speaker 2: like I said, you make sure that you are applying
- 6:30Speaker 2: your energy when it needs to be, you know, not
- 6:32Speaker 2: really getting into fixed fights. Have you ever been in
- 6:34Speaker 2: a situation like that, Jeff, Oh?
- 6:37Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I mean, just trying to help someone battle
- 6:42Speaker 3: something that they're not being completely honest with you or
- 6:46Speaker 3: themselves about. That's almost a losing battle that I mean.
- 6:52Speaker 3: I spent time in that area, and it sucks because
- 6:57Speaker 3: you do all this to help a person and then
- 7:00Speaker 3: you find out later that you weren't even really telling
- 7:04Speaker 3: me everything. So I could have really helped you, I
- 7:07Speaker 3: just kind of made it worse for you, you know,
- 7:10Speaker 3: and it sometimes really doesn't end up helping that person
- 7:12Speaker 3: at all. So it just you gotta you gotta choose
- 7:16Speaker 3: your battles, and you gotta decide, like you said, discermine
- 7:19Speaker 3: as everything. You gotta decide like or you gotta decide
- 7:26Speaker 3: what you're going to deal with and what you're not
- 7:28Speaker 3: going to what you're gonna waste your not waste your energy,
- 7:30Speaker 3: but what you're going to put your energy into versus Okay,
- 7:34Speaker 3: am I getting the same kind of energy back?
- 7:36Speaker 4: Or yeah, yeah, or even someone if it's someone else involved, well,
- 7:46Speaker 4: and I like you.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Just gotta keep going.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Exactly, keep going, moving forward. And that's the topic of conversation.
- 7:56Speaker 2: And like what you said as far as helping somebody
- 8:00Speaker 2: else's battle, Uh that I my girls is even with
- 8:05Speaker 2: their friends. Let them know and and stand on the
- 8:07Speaker 2: standard of I will fight with you, not for you,
- 8:11Speaker 2: you know, So if you're not fighting a battle, what
- 8:15Speaker 2: am I doing fighting it for you? So definitely an
- 8:18Speaker 2: example of a fixed fight here you are jumping in
- 8:21Speaker 2: and again not your battle to.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Fight, Nope, not all but thank.
- 8:27Speaker 2: God for people like you with a good heart and
- 8:30Speaker 2: you know, continue to try to help people, but definitely
- 8:32Speaker 2: preying on that discernment knowing when and when not to
- 8:35Speaker 2: engage MM which brings me kind of to these second
- 8:43Speaker 2: on the list of operations. Let's talk about like the
- 8:46Speaker 2: signs you get to keep going, the signs you keep going.
- 8:49Speaker 2: We get plenty of signs to give up, all right,
- 8:53Speaker 2: we get plenty of signs to just go into depression,
- 8:56Speaker 2: or the plenty of signs to just not keep on,
- 9:00Speaker 2: not to move forward. We get plenty of those signs.
- 9:03Speaker 2: But what signs do you get to keep going? I mean,
- 9:07Speaker 2: what kind of signs do we need If you're praying
- 9:09Speaker 2: and you're getting discernment and you're having a relationship with
- 9:13Speaker 2: God or you're you know, just moving righteously, what signs
- 9:18Speaker 2: do you really need to, like, you know, to keep going.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Have you ever thought about what type of signs you
- 9:26Speaker 2: may need to keep going? Again? We know plenty of
- 9:28Speaker 2: signs to give up. Don't have enough of this. I
- 9:32Speaker 2: haven't seen you know. What's the saying I've heard? And
- 9:37Speaker 2: it's not funny, but it's real. I got more months
- 9:39Speaker 2: than money, you know. Oh God, so you know I
- 9:45Speaker 2: got thirty days worth of bills if you will, but
- 9:47Speaker 2: I got like fifteen days worth money.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, all those signs.
- 9:52Speaker 2: To give up? But what signs do we have to
- 9:55Speaker 2: keep going? I have a few that I say that.
- 10:01Speaker 2: There's been times where I prayed and asked God to,
- 10:03Speaker 2: you know, just just show me drop a drop, just
- 10:06Speaker 2: a bread crumb that I can keep following, show me
- 10:10Speaker 2: that you are present. And there have been times I
- 10:14Speaker 2: cannot lie. I shall not tell a lie. There has
- 10:16Speaker 2: been times where I didn't see it for myself until
- 10:22Speaker 2: I asked for God to drop me a sign. Now,
- 10:24Speaker 2: sometimes you know he drops the little sign, but there's
- 10:26Speaker 2: a big bomb of distraction. And get me wrong, but
- 10:30Speaker 2: that's what I mean, Like, what kind of signs do
- 10:32Speaker 2: you need to actually keep going?
- 10:35Speaker 3: Well, you see, you keep seeing open doors whatever whichever
- 10:41Speaker 3: direction you're going in. I mean you, like you said,
- 10:45Speaker 3: you see the little thing, the little breadcrumbs that let
- 10:48Speaker 3: you know, hey, I'm on the right path, or I'm
- 10:50Speaker 3: going in the right direction, or this is this may
- 10:55Speaker 3: be a good decision for me, you know. And of
- 10:58Speaker 3: course you know, you have your own relationship with God
- 11:02Speaker 3: just like anybody else does. But you will know if
- 11:06Speaker 3: it's really supposed to be where you're supposed to go,
- 11:09Speaker 3: and you gotta just you really just gotta take that
- 11:18Speaker 3: leap of faith sometimes, and like you said, sometimes when
- 11:23Speaker 3: you do take that leap of faith and you stay
- 11:25Speaker 3: in peace, you stay in prayer, you see those doors opening.
- 11:29Speaker 3: And sometimes, like you said, you may not see it
- 11:31Speaker 3: at first, but then you start asking for hey, let
- 11:35Speaker 3: me know that I'm going the right way, that I'm
- 11:37Speaker 3: doing the right thing. And the next day or sometimes
- 11:41Speaker 3: that next hour, you will see something that's like, hey, okay,
- 11:46Speaker 3: I'm doing the right thing. I'm doing my part. So
- 11:49Speaker 3: that he can do his part.
- 11:50Speaker 2: And you gotta be able to see that.
- 11:54Speaker 3: You gotta be open to it.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Yeah, seeing those signs and being able to obey that.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I know you and I have talked about walking down
- 12:03Speaker 2: hallways just to give a visual walking down the hallway
- 12:06Speaker 2: and how we can see signs on a door that
- 12:09Speaker 2: says keep closed, m m our darness to go in
- 12:15Speaker 2: or see behind it or whatever. You know, why does
- 12:18Speaker 2: it say keep closed? Just you know, that's glutton for
- 12:23Speaker 2: punishment if you will. But but we'll we'll walk past
- 12:31Speaker 2: a door that says inter here, you know, open open,
- 12:37Speaker 2: which is crazy almost feel like it's a catch twenty two.
- 12:40Speaker 2: There's no way that door will just say open. But
- 12:45Speaker 2: but we want to believe that there's good behind keep
- 12:48Speaker 2: closed top secret, you know, we want to believe that.
- 12:53Speaker 2: So and I know you and I have talked about, well,
- 12:55Speaker 2: when you walk with God, there is no trickery. Like
- 12:58Speaker 2: if you're walking with him and and you see the
- 13:00Speaker 2: door that says keep closed, you keep it closed. We
- 13:03Speaker 2: don't want to be down there if he likes that.
- 13:06Speaker 2: You see a door that says enter here, open, come
- 13:10Speaker 2: on now, Like it's not that hard, it's not rocket science.
- 13:13Speaker 2: But but it you know, it takes people time with
- 13:19Speaker 2: lessons and blessings, it takes people time. So but one
- 13:24Speaker 2: thing we don't want to do is try to open doors.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Let's say keep closed, right, I mean, we is closed
- 13:35Speaker 2: for a reason and again walk with God to you know,
- 13:38Speaker 2: to keep those doors closed. But while we're talking about signs,
- 13:43Speaker 2: so we get plenty of signs to give up, you know,
- 13:46Speaker 2: and we uh probably have plenty of reasons to give
- 13:49Speaker 2: up as far as how we feel, how we feel
- 13:52Speaker 2: about things, and how we don't like the way things
- 13:56Speaker 2: seem and look and stuff like that. I define definitely
- 14:00Speaker 2: want to talk about moving forward, because that's what this
- 14:04Speaker 2: conversation is about. Before we run out of time. I
- 14:06Speaker 2: want to make sure that we touch on that. I
- 14:09Speaker 2: know there's a lot of things that, like I said,
- 14:11Speaker 2: could hold us back, and I've felt them myself, as
- 14:14Speaker 2: far as lack of support or anything else like that.
- 14:16Speaker 2: So how do we Let's talk about moving forward? First
- 14:22Speaker 2: and foremost, we want to get to a point where
- 14:24Speaker 2: we change our mindset. That's the first thing that comes
- 14:29Speaker 2: to mind, is that it's all in our mind. We
- 14:31Speaker 2: need to learn how to do that. And I was
- 14:32Speaker 2: reading about changing your mindset and emotional well being. And
- 14:38Speaker 2: the thing about that is while you are doing those things,
- 14:42Speaker 2: first and foremost, be present, be present, be aware of
- 14:45Speaker 2: what's going on. You know, one thing that I've said
- 14:48Speaker 2: is most people, the first thing they contribute somebody not
- 14:53Speaker 2: dealing with something is denial. That's not all the way true.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Sometimes they are not in denial, they just choose not
- 15:00Speaker 2: to deal. But one that can tell you that not
- 15:04Speaker 2: dealing with something delays the inevitable. Most times, there are
- 15:10Speaker 2: certain things that you just have to deal with. Like
- 15:11Speaker 2: we said before, you can't even pray it away. Some
- 15:14Speaker 2: things that just have to dealt with for you to
- 15:16Speaker 2: be able to move on to the next level. Like
- 15:19Speaker 2: on a video game, came past the next level unless
- 15:21Speaker 2: you beat this level. And it's just that simple. So,
- 15:24Speaker 2: but we do want to change our mindset and emotional
- 15:27Speaker 2: well being by being present. Don't allow yourself to be
- 15:31Speaker 2: zombified by your situation where you just become a drone.
- 15:35Speaker 2: You don't really care about what's going to happen, there's
- 15:39Speaker 2: nothing I can do about it. Well, you don't give
- 15:42Speaker 2: up when you feel like there's nothing you can do
- 15:44Speaker 2: about it, right, Yeah, First and foremost, Like I said,
- 15:47Speaker 2: it's about dealing with it. You do want to acknowledge
- 15:51Speaker 2: your feelings. You do want to know what place you're in.
- 15:54Speaker 2: You and I've talked about you know how your feelings
- 15:58Speaker 2: do not determine your person. You're feeling change, but your
- 16:02Speaker 2: purpose doesn't. We doesn't want to acknowledge our feelings, but
- 16:07Speaker 2: don't stay there. We had a discussion about sometimes you
- 16:11Speaker 2: enter a place you know where you're going, you know
- 16:13Speaker 2: where you're being, where you've been, it's time to go.
- 16:17Speaker 2: But sometimes you enter a place of not knowing some stuff,
- 16:20Speaker 2: and that to move you back into wavering disbelief, doubt,
- 16:26Speaker 2: all those negative things. Right, But we were talking about
- 16:31Speaker 2: understanding what place you're in, So acknowledging those things and
- 16:35Speaker 2: understanding dealing with meaning not denial, but and and not
- 16:39Speaker 2: not dealing but dealing with is like, hey, I'm feeling
- 16:42Speaker 2: some unsurety. We want so much to not have to
- 16:47Speaker 2: deal and not have to, you know, address the things
- 16:51Speaker 2: that that are bothering us. But that's not.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Always, you know, no, exactly exactly. That's why you got
- 17:00Speaker 3: to have fear of faith over fear man.
- 17:02Speaker 2: All the time. Make sure that your your faith and
- 17:06Speaker 2: gaining is outweighing your fear in failing. Right, Yeah, Easier
- 17:12Speaker 2: said none.
- 17:13Speaker 3: We know yeah.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Sometimes so while we're talking about moving forward, there are
- 17:18Speaker 2: some things that are necessary as being repetitious in your life.
- 17:22Speaker 2: So faith over fear is definitely something that you want
- 17:26Speaker 2: to practice as repetition. So but yes, know the place
- 17:33Speaker 2: you're in, deal with the feelings, know that that it
- 17:37Speaker 2: trouble don't last always. So I hope that everybody is
- 17:41Speaker 2: able to get that, ja As. I know that you
- 17:45Speaker 2: have been in places and situations and as long as
- 17:48Speaker 2: I've known you, I've seen you just triumph through things
- 17:51Speaker 2: where you've had to put your faith over fear and
- 17:56Speaker 2: have to be What we've talked about is a thermostat
- 17:59Speaker 2: over their mind.
- 18:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Thermometer. What is that that you so?
- 18:10Speaker 3: Well? Okay, So I mean me personally, I'm not the
- 18:13Speaker 3: kind of person that deals with stress well pacunamatata all
- 18:20Speaker 3: the way, like, no worries. I really am so chill.
- 18:23Speaker 3: It's like scary almost to some people because everybody should
- 18:29Speaker 3: be freaking out or everybody is freaking out. I'm like,
- 18:31Speaker 3: it's fine, it's fine, But I mean I personally, I
- 18:36Speaker 3: cannot stress about stuff. It physically makes me ill to
- 18:40Speaker 3: stress about most things. So I've had to just kind
- 18:46Speaker 3: of let it everything go, if you will. It's in
- 18:49Speaker 3: some cases some situations harder said than done, obviously, but.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Once you.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Realize that your faith is bigger than your fear, you
- 19:01Speaker 3: can really do anything. And for example, like during COVID,
- 19:05Speaker 3: everything was shut down, everything was shut down. I got
- 19:08Speaker 3: laid off from my job of fifteen years. I took
- 19:14Speaker 3: that as a sign of this is the best news ever.
- 19:21Speaker 3: I had been wanting to move to Florida for like
- 19:23Speaker 3: a last you know, the last six months before I
- 19:26Speaker 3: got laid off, or before right before COVID hit. I
- 19:28Speaker 3: went visited one time and I was like, hey, this
- 19:31Speaker 3: is where I want to be. I took that and
- 19:35Speaker 3: I literally leapt for whatever was out there. I knew nobody,
- 19:39Speaker 3: I knew nothing, and I found a job, found a place,
- 19:43Speaker 3: and stayed out there for five years. And then even now,
- 19:48Speaker 3: like I live somewhere now that I decided I don't
- 19:51Speaker 3: want to be anymore and I'm going to a new
- 19:54Speaker 3: place that I have also visited once, and I'm ready
- 19:57Speaker 3: to just let it go and be gone. You know,
- 20:00Speaker 3: I'm not going to say, I'm ready to go, like
- 20:03Speaker 3: I feel like, as long as I keep my peace
- 20:06Speaker 3: and keep everything in check, I'm doing my part. I'm
- 20:10Speaker 3: doing what I need to do. I know he's going
- 20:12Speaker 3: to show up. I know he's going to show up
- 20:14Speaker 3: and show out. So it's just a matter of when
- 20:17Speaker 3: it's going to happen, and you make and I'm ready
- 20:20Speaker 3: for it.
- 20:20Speaker 2: We make moving forward sounds so easy.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Let me just say you that, I mean, it's not.
- 20:25Speaker 3: I mean, there's still other things involved. There's little you know,
- 20:28Speaker 3: little bits and pieces, but all in all, it really
- 20:32Speaker 3: is the best thing anyone can do if they can
- 20:34Speaker 3: do it, you know, I mean, why stay in the
- 20:37Speaker 3: past where you're uncomfortable.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Why we don't want to be in a comfort zone
- 20:43Speaker 2: where we're uncomfortable. That makes all the sense in the world, right,
- 20:48Speaker 2: of course. But I like what you said too, in
- 20:52Speaker 2: that direction of you being a thermostat versus a thermometer.
- 20:57Speaker 2: You saying that when you got laid off from your job,
- 21:00Speaker 2: you took it as the word you said. I took
- 21:04Speaker 2: it as it was the best thing in the world.
- 21:06Speaker 2: So the way you were able to do that, you know,
- 21:10Speaker 2: relating to thermostat versus thermometer is you set the temperature
- 21:13Speaker 2: for yourself. You didn't just take the cold, you know,
- 21:17Speaker 2: being in the cold or throwing out in COVID if
- 21:21Speaker 2: you will. It was a detrimental time and I'm glad
- 21:25Speaker 2: that a lot of people got through that and stuff
- 21:27Speaker 2: like that, and those who didn't not prepare the families
- 21:29Speaker 2: that are still dealing.
- 21:30Speaker 3: But definitely you were.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Able to kind of set the temperature for yourself and
- 21:36Speaker 2: what you needed to do next. So definitely I was
- 21:40Speaker 2: able to kind of witness that firsthand, some of the
- 21:43Speaker 2: things that you share with me with your testimony, And
- 21:45Speaker 2: I just want to say that you being the thermostat
- 21:48Speaker 2: versus the thermometer, you setting the temperature for no panic
- 21:52Speaker 2: around you. Hey, I'm moving forward, this is what I'm doing.
- 21:55Speaker 2: This what's going on? You having that already mindset. Hey,
- 21:59Speaker 2: I don't have time for you guys to tell me
- 22:01Speaker 2: what this feels like. I know what it feels like,
- 22:04Speaker 2: I know what I'm doing, moving forward, this is what
- 22:07Speaker 2: I'm doing.
- 22:08Speaker 3: So this is what we're doing.
- 22:10Speaker 2: And that's cool. And like I said, I watched you
- 22:15Speaker 2: grow and do so many great things, so that's really awesome.
- 22:18Speaker 2: And going into that letting go of the past. That's
- 22:24Speaker 2: a big thing for a lot of people. And this
- 22:26Speaker 2: is still under your mindset and emotional wellbeing, you know.
- 22:30Speaker 2: So we've we really got to know when we've been
- 22:33Speaker 2: delivered from something so you don't go back to it,
- 22:35Speaker 2: right and deliverance from something, And what I've come to
- 22:37Speaker 2: learn is that it's something that you couldn't do on
- 22:41Speaker 2: your own. You have prayed about it, cried about it,
- 22:46Speaker 2: you know, even tried about it. But it's not something
- 22:49Speaker 2: that comes easy. It's not something that you may even
- 22:53Speaker 2: have the knowledge of doing. But miraculously there is support
- 22:59Speaker 2: or there is guidance that gets you out of the
- 23:02Speaker 2: situation that you know you needed to be out of.
- 23:06Speaker 2: They're in my personal life, you know, trying to get
- 23:11Speaker 2: out of a situation that I really didn't try to
- 23:15Speaker 2: get out of. I don't know how to explain that,
- 23:17Speaker 2: but you know, those who know, if you get it,
- 23:19Speaker 2: you got it. If you don't, you won't.
- 23:20Speaker 3: You already know, okay, I get it, get it.
- 23:26Speaker 2: But knowing when you've been delivered so that you don't
- 23:30Speaker 2: go back to stuff like that, and just getting away
- 23:34Speaker 2: from stuff like that, and getting away from things that
- 23:38Speaker 2: hold you you know, you don't hold anything against yourself
- 23:41Speaker 2: for actually getting away from stuff and actually growing away
- 23:45Speaker 2: from stuff, and you don't let anybody else hold that
- 23:47Speaker 2: against you. You don't, you know, plain and simple. You
- 23:51Speaker 2: don't hold it against yourself, and you don't let anybody
- 23:54Speaker 2: else do it. Why would you do that, that very
- 23:56Speaker 2: thing that God, even God doesn't hold against you. Your
- 23:59Speaker 2: mercies are renewed, wipe a clean slate, which you know
- 24:05Speaker 2: can even go into something like forgiveness, normalizing forgiveness so
- 24:12Speaker 2: you can be at peace. And that's what we were
- 24:14Speaker 2: talking about, moving forward and freeing your own spirit, not
- 24:17Speaker 2: just for somebody else, but free in your own spirit,
- 24:19Speaker 2: you know, being delivered. I know that. Like I said,
- 24:23Speaker 2: you've been through some things yourself being delivered from some situations.
- 24:28Speaker 2: And one thing I know about you I've come to
- 24:30Speaker 2: learn about you and grow with you, is that you
- 24:33Speaker 2: do not look back. You give it all you got
- 24:36Speaker 2: right then, and that's enough.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm done moving.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Forward, you know. And you know you might cry, you
- 24:48Speaker 2: have all those emotions during the situation. Yeah, yeah, it's time.
- 24:55Speaker 2: When it's time, the dog is unalive as surely I can.
- 25:02Speaker 2: I can't remember a name, but it's okay, But so
- 25:11Speaker 2: moving on forward, like I said, just really changing our mindset,
- 25:16Speaker 2: learning how to move forward from things, getting our focus back.
- 25:22Speaker 2: So we just talked about your mindset and emotional well
- 25:25Speaker 2: being and what we can do acknowledging your feelings but
- 25:29Speaker 2: not staying there speaking over yourself. Yeah. We talked about
- 25:35Speaker 2: knowing what place you're in and and moving forward from that.
- 25:38Speaker 2: We talked about being a thermostat in your situation, not
- 25:41Speaker 2: a thermometer, setting the temperature and saying this is what
- 25:44Speaker 2: I'm gonna feel about this, and be okay with that,
- 25:47Speaker 2: and then move forward from that. Don't go back and forth.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Wavering can honestly kill you. We know that. Yeah, and
- 25:55Speaker 2: then let go the past knowing when you've been delivered
- 25:57Speaker 2: from something. If you delivered, then there's no re and
- 26:00Speaker 2: on even thinking back to why you were there when
- 26:03Speaker 2: you were there. I know I've prayed the prayer myself
- 26:06Speaker 2: of Lord, help me forget something so I can forgive
- 26:09Speaker 2: some people, and it works. Maybe it'll work for you,
- 26:15Speaker 2: maybe it doesn't. But like I said, I had to
- 26:17Speaker 2: forget some things to forgive some people. So let's go
- 26:21Speaker 2: on to something like prioritizing your well being with your connections, Okay,
- 26:26Speaker 2: outside of yourself. So we've talked about things that you
- 26:28Speaker 2: need to do within yourself. So let's talk about prioritizing
- 26:32Speaker 2: the well being with your connections outside of yourself, Earning
- 26:36Speaker 2: the importance of connecting with people and seeking support rather
- 26:42Speaker 2: than just keeping everything in I myself personal experience. I
- 26:47Speaker 2: am a soldier, and I am a warrior, and sometimes
- 26:50Speaker 2: I am a machine, right, and I just keep things
- 26:53Speaker 2: inside and I keep going. But as I've learned and
- 26:57Speaker 2: have been told by a wise person that even machines
- 26:59Speaker 2: need breakdown for repairing, even machines and paring any maintenance.
- 27:03Speaker 2: You can't just keep going like that. And Jazz and I,
- 27:07Speaker 2: if you caught us in a previous episode of Family
- 27:11Speaker 2: Matters that we touched on a generational setback is keeping
- 27:15Speaker 2: everything to yourself. You learn from your family that you
- 27:18Speaker 2: keep your business your business, you keep it on the inside.
- 27:21Speaker 2: But what happens when you are an adult and you
- 27:24Speaker 2: keep on carrying that, and but you need the support
- 27:27Speaker 2: and you need the connection. Yeah, you know, you find
- 27:30Speaker 2: that sometimes keeping to yourself actually breaks you down more
- 27:34Speaker 2: than it strengthens you.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Yeah, because you don't even know how to ask for
- 27:39Speaker 3: the support. When you're in that state, you don't know
- 27:41Speaker 3: how to ask for the help because you're already like,
- 27:45Speaker 3: I'm not telling anybody anyway, And it's like there could
- 27:49Speaker 3: be any any somebody could always have a story that
- 27:52Speaker 3: can help you in your situation, you know, just like
- 27:55Speaker 3: if you tell somebody something that's going on, and you
- 27:59Speaker 3: don't know what kind of testimony you could be given
- 28:01Speaker 3: somebody just by telling them your experience. So but if
- 28:05Speaker 3: you're if you're taught to not seek help from anybody
- 28:09Speaker 3: outside of inside of your four walls, how how do
- 28:13Speaker 3: you break that habit? You know, it's hard to do that.
- 28:17Speaker 2: But as we talked about in the Family Matters episode,
- 28:20Speaker 2: you got to start somewhere. And especially if we have children,
- 28:24Speaker 2: are you teaching them the same thing? And you know,
- 28:27Speaker 2: determining a family tradition versus a generational setback, knowing that, hey,
- 28:33Speaker 2: this has to change, this can't keep going on the
- 28:36Speaker 2: same way like this. So definitely that. But we learn,
- 28:45Speaker 2: we live, and we learn, and we got some lessons learned.
- 28:49Speaker 2: We have some things that we have to do again
- 28:52Speaker 2: outside of ourselves, Uh, making those connections, knowing when when
- 28:57Speaker 2: to make those connections. One of the things that are
- 28:59Speaker 2: alway said is sometimes I have to disconnect totally mm hmm,
- 29:04Speaker 2: so that I can know where to reconnect. You know,
- 29:07Speaker 2: sometimes I'm connected to so many things. Yeah, and you
- 29:10Speaker 2: get so involved in so many things. I know. I'm
- 29:13Speaker 2: a starter of a lot, finisher of not a lot. Okay,
- 29:20Speaker 2: So I am definitely trying to make sure that I
- 29:23Speaker 2: do follow through and I'm sure that I'm able to
- 29:25Speaker 2: do the things that I have committed to. So, you know,
- 29:31Speaker 2: we have to learn how to how to coordinate ourselves
- 29:34Speaker 2: with other people, right. We can't just keep going. Can't
- 29:41Speaker 2: just keep going. I know that you and I have
- 29:44Speaker 2: talked about set boundaries. Uh lately here you've had to
- 29:49Speaker 2: do some things here to share.
- 29:53Speaker 3: Oh yeah, no, I guess the boundaries that I've had
- 29:59Speaker 3: to set from myself is learning to prioritize me. The
- 30:05Speaker 3: biggest lesson that I could say during the situation that
- 30:09Speaker 3: I'm in and am getting out of and letting go of,
- 30:12Speaker 3: is learning how to say no and not feel bad
- 30:16Speaker 3: about it. I'm always that person that's like, oh my god,
- 30:20Speaker 3: what if they get mad that I, you know, can't
- 30:23Speaker 3: help them, or what if they get mad about anything?
- 30:27Speaker 3: And I've learned that if I stand on it and
- 30:32Speaker 3: feel that way, I have to be okay with it,
- 30:35Speaker 3: and I have to It prevents me from over committing
- 30:40Speaker 3: to something that I don't want to do in the
- 30:43Speaker 3: first thing, and it protects my energy from what I
- 30:48Speaker 3: might not be dealing with as well.
- 30:50Speaker 2: You know.
- 30:50Speaker 3: I mean, I've allowed people to manage my time and
- 30:56Speaker 3: prolonged and inevitable, and I committed time and energy to
- 31:01Speaker 3: people and things that I really should not have and
- 31:05Speaker 3: now I'm at a place where I need to protect
- 31:07Speaker 3: my peace. And like I said, I'm saying no, and
- 31:11Speaker 3: I don't care if you feel any kind of way
- 31:13Speaker 3: about it, because here's the thing. I've been saying yes,
- 31:19Speaker 3: and like I said, it's only hindered me as a
- 31:24Speaker 3: person or where whatever I'm doing, like it's basically kind
- 31:28Speaker 3: of halted me a little bit. And I can't I
- 31:31Speaker 3: can't do that. I gotta let it go and I
- 31:33Speaker 3: gotta keep moving and I'm going I'm out of here.
- 31:37Speaker 2: So prolonging the inevitable. We know what's what it is,
- 31:42Speaker 2: and you.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Know, yeah, you know what's done it is.
- 31:46Speaker 2: You know exactly you said what you said. Whatever the
- 31:49Speaker 2: case may be, we know that it is it is that,
- 31:54Speaker 2: And we've talked about how you know, people we allow
- 31:57Speaker 2: people to put a you know, a dot that dot,
- 32:00Speaker 2: et cetera, where we yep, you've already put a period there,
- 32:05Speaker 2: and you still allow somebody to put two more after you.
- 32:08Speaker 2: But wait, there's more. No, there's not more. They're going, really,
- 32:17Speaker 2: what's what's more? Nothing like what's happening?
- 32:22Speaker 3: I don't know how did we get here?
- 32:24Speaker 2: I don't Yeah, right, I don't. I don't know what
- 32:25Speaker 2: to do with I don't know what to do with
- 32:27Speaker 2: my life. Okay, right, that help you on what to
- 32:32Speaker 2: do with your life? With all those things, like I said,
- 32:35Speaker 2: recognizing the faults that we have and recognizing the feelings
- 32:39Speaker 2: we have, and yeah, how to move forward. Yeah, all
- 32:43Speaker 2: those recognitions, acknowledgements within ourselves and how to disconnect and
- 32:48Speaker 2: learn how to reconnect. Now we need to start moving
- 32:51Speaker 2: forward to make these changes. Yeah, we have separate testimonies.
- 32:59Speaker 2: You know, as we could talk all day a girl
- 33:02Speaker 2: talk about girl. Let me tell you, Okay, let me
- 33:05Speaker 2: tell you, Like right now, I am going through something
- 33:08Speaker 2: that I know not everybody can understand. But even as
- 33:13Speaker 2: my own just struggles, I am having trouble, just kind
- 33:21Speaker 2: of grasping the fact that I know I have to
- 33:26Speaker 2: move forward and I have had visions pro visions of
- 33:29Speaker 2: how to do so. Mm hmm. Right. So even in
- 33:33Speaker 2: my own life, the the changes that I know I
- 33:36Speaker 2: need to make and do apply to me personally is
- 33:39Speaker 2: that I need to take action. I need to set
- 33:43Speaker 2: goals and take action. Yeah, I need to. It has
- 33:47Speaker 2: to be in real life. I need to set clear
- 33:51Speaker 2: goals for myself, you know, make sure that I know
- 33:54Speaker 2: what I want to do and how I want to
- 33:56Speaker 2: do it. Make sure it's within me. Because I think
- 33:58Speaker 2: you and I have talked about how you can be
- 34:00Speaker 2: anointed and not yet appointed. It doesn't mean that it's
- 34:04Speaker 2: time for you to go. You know, I am about
- 34:08Speaker 2: always showing up. I'm learning that I should say and
- 34:12Speaker 2: go time and showtime are one and the same.
- 34:15Speaker 3: Yeah, but you want to.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Set clear goals for yourself, maybe steps. You definitely want
- 34:21Speaker 2: to take small steps. So set clear goals and set
- 34:25Speaker 2: them as one, two, three. You don't want to do
- 34:27Speaker 2: them as let me do the hardest first. That ain't
- 34:30Speaker 2: gonna work. I've tried it. Let's knock out the hardest
- 34:33Speaker 2: so I can get to the easiest that ain't. You
- 34:36Speaker 2: want to set the clear goals on the steps. And
- 34:39Speaker 2: we've talked about being in order. There is even something
- 34:43Speaker 2: that I have heard called chaotic, something that even though
- 34:47Speaker 2: it's in chaos, they're still in order to it. So
- 34:50Speaker 2: just understand that no matter what you do, there's always
- 34:52Speaker 2: going to be an order to it. So, yeah, set
- 34:55Speaker 2: clear goals for myself. Take these baby steps to accomplish
- 34:59Speaker 2: these clear goals. Step one, accomplish it step two not
- 35:03Speaker 2: step one. Cool, let me start that. I can do
- 35:05Speaker 2: step two too. You know, I can work simultaneously. You know,
- 35:10Speaker 2: working like that, as we learned, does not always fan
- 35:14Speaker 2: out to be the best, because you need to be
- 35:17Speaker 2: able to be focused. If you're everywhere, you're nowhere. So
- 35:20Speaker 2: if you're focused on everything, you're not focused on anything. Yeah,
- 35:24Speaker 2: take that with you, Okay. And one of the biggest
- 35:28Speaker 2: things for me as far as UH setting goals and
- 35:31Speaker 2: taking action is stop procrastinating. I sometimes will see something
- 35:37Speaker 2: as the biggest obstacle and it's not. There was an
- 35:40Speaker 2: old saying that says, it don't take all day to
- 35:42Speaker 2: do nothing. Some of the things that you gotta do
- 35:44Speaker 2: ain't really nothing. Yeah, you're taking all this time and
- 35:49Speaker 2: procrastinating and waiting to get there and waiting to do stuff.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Why why you still don't have to do it?
- 35:59Speaker 2: But and cases where I've procrastinated to do something thinking
- 36:05Speaker 2: it was going to be overwhelming, and by the time
- 36:07Speaker 2: I got to it, I was like, oh, this is
- 36:08Speaker 2: all I gotta do. I just got to touch it,
- 36:11Speaker 2: touched yep. As soon as I clicked, I was done right.
- 36:16Speaker 2: So definitely those are some of the changes I want
- 36:20Speaker 2: to make for myself moving forward. What about you? What
- 36:22Speaker 2: kind of changes you're working on?
- 36:24Speaker 3: I mean mainly changing my mindset and sometimes my attitude,
- 36:30Speaker 3: because yeah, I do have a cool accutomatata mode, but
- 36:34Speaker 3: my mind sometimes gets the better of me. I sometimes
- 36:38Speaker 3: will think about stuff that might be worrisome or would
- 36:41Speaker 3: worry me or has worried me, and it I have
- 36:44Speaker 3: to snap myself out of it. So I got to
- 36:46Speaker 3: challenge the negative thoughts that I sometimes have and get
- 36:49Speaker 3: because I am normal, my flush sometimes feels be decisive.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Like like I said, learning to say no and being
- 36:59Speaker 3: okay with that was one of the biggest things that
- 37:01Speaker 3: I had issues with. So I'm practicing doing that and
- 37:06Speaker 3: I'm just trying to embrace the new. Like like I said,
- 37:10Speaker 3: I'm moving, I'm taking a leap of faith. I'm going
- 37:13Speaker 3: somewhere where nobody knows my name and I'm good, right,
- 37:18Speaker 3: I'm going to see what I can get into and
- 37:22Speaker 3: see what's going on. So I would say the biggest
- 37:25Speaker 3: thing is go for it. If you're scared. That means
- 37:28Speaker 3: I feel like you should go for it more.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I fear, you know, false evidence appearing real.
- 37:35Speaker 3: Yeah, in this life.
- 37:38Speaker 2: And you and I have learned that we are going
- 37:41Speaker 2: to succeed. You know, we are just the home run
- 37:45Speaker 2: has already been hit, y'all. We just running the bases.
- 37:48Speaker 3: We just got to get there.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Yeah, so just touch it. You'll learn that. And I
- 37:54Speaker 2: have learned too that even right now we are in
- 37:57Speaker 2: the season. Yeah, so that atmosphere shifting. We're definitely in
- 38:02Speaker 2: those seasons. So with that being said, like I said,
- 38:06Speaker 2: this episode of Moving Forward, we did not get to
- 38:09Speaker 2: do our regularly scheduled program, but we will continue that
- 38:13Speaker 2: on the next episode. Continue to follow me and Jazzy.
- 38:16Speaker 2: We will be promoting that, uh the entrepreneur panel. We
- 38:20Speaker 2: would love to have difference of opinions and different entrepreneurs
- 38:23Speaker 2: if you're able to join, we'll be promoting that catch
- 38:28Speaker 2: up with us. I want to thank Jazzy for joining me.
- 38:33Speaker 2: I know you got a busy schedule, like you said,
- 38:35Speaker 2: between working and moving, and I know how tedious that
- 38:40Speaker 2: stuff can be, but I thank you for joining me
- 38:44Speaker 2: and one of my biggest supporters in helping me to
- 38:47Speaker 2: embrace moving forward and not staying where I am. And
- 38:50Speaker 2: one thing about Jazzy is she is one of those
- 38:54Speaker 2: pieces of iron where iron sharpens iron. She's definitely that.
- 38:58Speaker 2: So no, thank you. I am able to give to
- 39:01Speaker 2: her when she's able to give back to me. So
- 39:03Speaker 2: it's always a pleasure to have you on the show
- 39:06Speaker 2: and have you, you know, just continue to uplift and
- 39:10Speaker 2: support other people to remember to support your supporters. I
- 39:14Speaker 2: support you and everything you do, just like you support
- 39:16Speaker 2: me and everything I do. I love you today. And
