- 0:12Speaker 2: By the way, do you guys got to watch this?
- 0:14Speaker 2: For some reason landed this in my head. The Netflix
- 0:17Speaker 2: documentary about Woodstock ninety nine.

- 0:21Speaker 2: Yeah that it was a wild You've got to see
- 0:24Speaker 2: this Donald. You can't believe I had no idea.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Is that where the mud fights? Yeah, the mud fights
- 0:28Speaker 1: and all that shit.
- 0:29Speaker 2: It's not mud, it's pooh. They don't know they're pooh.
- 0:33Speaker 1: A buddy of mine went to Woodstock and has pictures
- 0:38Speaker 1: of himself in the mud fights and everything like that. Hey,
- 0:42Speaker 1: but I just want you to know you was you
- 0:45Speaker 1: was slinging doo doo.
- 0:47Speaker 2: It's so gross. It's so gross. But you gotta see
- 0:50Speaker 2: this Stock. It's three part documentary listeners. I highly recommend
- 0:54Speaker 2: that it's it's shocking and really well done. But it's
- 1:00Speaker 2: crazy what happened at that fucking festival. Donald Season six, well,
- 1:05Speaker 2: I'm not gonna spoil it for anyone. Just insanity. They
- 1:07Speaker 2: fucking rioted, they started fires. It's incredible. It's the season
- 1:10Speaker 2: six finale.
- 1:12Speaker 1: And what a finale it is.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Zech I wrote, I laughed so hard. I've wrote so
- 1:18Speaker 2: many notes, but there's a.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Couple of I think the biggest laugh, as always is
- 1:22Speaker 1: Rob Mashow.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Yes, of course, we have a special visitor coming for
- 1:28Speaker 2: the listeners today. Joelle is special present for the listeners here.
- 1:32Speaker 2: No or Dana, No, okay. We have these very special
- 1:35Speaker 2: guests for you listeners, because we love you and we
- 1:38Speaker 2: like to give you special treats, especially when it's the
- 1:41Speaker 2: season finale of season six.
- 1:44Speaker 1: We're going to give you two special treats. We're gonna
- 1:46Speaker 1: watch the show with you in the next episode and
- 1:49Speaker 1: in this episode, the season six finale, we're bringing in
- 1:54Speaker 1: a heavy hitter. We're just gonna leave it at that
- 1:56Speaker 1: for now.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Yeah, Daniel will let us know and then surprise is year.
- 2:01Speaker 2: But how are you a day of shooting and just
- 2:04Speaker 2: checking in with you, how are things? Roco had his birthday.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I saw Rocco is now officially nine years old, nine
- 2:11Speaker 1: big ones. It's very interesting because he's taller than nine, Like,
- 2:15Speaker 1: he's taller than the average nine year old, and so
- 2:18Speaker 1: when I look at him, I see such an older kid,
- 2:21Speaker 1: and but he behaves like a nine year old, and
- 2:25Speaker 1: you know, you know, what I mean, And it's like, uh,
- 2:29Speaker 1: and I have to I have to accept that. I
- 2:32Speaker 1: you know, I'm so proud of him. He's blossoming and
- 2:36Speaker 1: growing into this really awesome kid right now, and I'm
- 2:41Speaker 1: really excited about that. But what I'm really excited about
- 2:45Speaker 1: is that, you know, as actors, when you're you know,
- 2:49Speaker 1: as actors who have to go across the world and
- 2:52Speaker 1: do things and stuff, it's rare that you get to
- 2:54Speaker 1: stay home and be with your children. And these past
- 2:57Speaker 1: couple of months this summer, I've had the luck of
- 3:02Speaker 1: working in LA and it hasn't been like that in
- 3:05Speaker 1: a long time, and so it's great. It's great.
- 3:07Speaker 2: So I'm sure they're so glad that you're around and
- 3:09Speaker 2: you could be a part, especially since so much is
- 3:11Speaker 2: happening with your kids.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it's really interesting. It's really cool, man, you know,
- 3:15Speaker 1: it's really My daughter is heavy into dancing and gymnastics
- 3:19Speaker 1: and all of that stuff now, and Rocco and basketball
- 3:21Speaker 1: as well. And Roco's heavy into basketball, and school's about
- 3:25Speaker 1: to start up, and you know, life is life is,
- 3:29Speaker 1: it's moving and.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Aune.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I think it's good to be alive for anyone right now.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I think everybody needs to just sit back, and you know,
- 3:39Speaker 1: if you could just take a moment and take a
- 3:42Speaker 1: mental polaroid of where you are, you know, in life
- 3:47Speaker 1: right now and understand that it's not the goal, isn't uh,
- 3:52Speaker 1: isn't waiting for you at the end of the finish
- 3:55Speaker 1: line that you know, the goal is the journey that's
- 3:59Speaker 1: you know, and you're the journey that you're on. And
- 4:04Speaker 1: I'm enjoying this right now.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that's well set, man, And I am too, And
- 4:08Speaker 2: I appreciate this, you know, as we end season six,
- 4:11Speaker 2: I gotta we gotta always say how much we appreciate
- 4:13Speaker 2: you listeners. This is so fun for us. I was
- 4:16Speaker 2: preparing for the show just now watching the episode and
- 4:19Speaker 2: I'm cracking up. I'm sitting here alone, I'm swiping tears
- 4:23Speaker 2: from my eyes, laughing so hard. And I would not
- 4:26Speaker 2: be doing that if it weren't for this show. And
- 4:29Speaker 2: and so I just want to just shout out you
- 4:32Speaker 2: listeners who who you know? You give us the reason
- 4:36Speaker 2: to do this and so much joy doing the show,
- 4:39Speaker 2: and also of course revisiting scrubs and laughing and knowing
- 4:43Speaker 2: that I'm going to get to crack up with with
- 4:45Speaker 2: you three is something I look forward to every week,
- 4:48Speaker 2: so so thank you.
- 4:50Speaker 1: And on that note, five eight show made about a
- 4:57Speaker 1: bunch of.
- 5:00Speaker 2: He said, he's a story, all right, so we'll wait
- 5:17Speaker 2: for special guests and let's just get into it.
- 5:20Speaker 1: J y know, he is into it. Huh. At first
- 5:24Speaker 1: he's not into it. He's like, I'm gonna save myself
- 5:27Speaker 1: for marriage. And then with the it was it the
- 5:32Speaker 1: shift of the wind, the change of the wind, and
- 5:36Speaker 1: all of a sudden he had movement and there it
- 5:40Speaker 1: is and trying to go.
- 5:43Speaker 2: It's amazing how powerful little side boob can be. Donald.
- 5:47Speaker 2: You know, sideboob can bring down a man's defenses.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Let's be honest, there's a lot of things that can
- 5:54Speaker 1: bring down a man's defenses. You put meat in front
- 5:57Speaker 1: of a dog, he's going, well every one hundred. My
- 6:02Speaker 1: wife always told me, you put meat in front of
- 6:05Speaker 1: a dog, it's gonna eat it. That's just real talk.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Well, he's single, he hasn't had it's implied he hasn't
- 6:11Speaker 2: had sex in a long time. Dog, you dog, a
- 6:15Speaker 2: dogful woman is in his arms. Dog, she's carrying his
- 6:20Speaker 2: baby dog, and all of a sudden there's some side
- 6:26Speaker 2: boob swiping. Oh yeah, he's no match for Elizabeth Banks's sideboob.
- 6:39Speaker 1: And no, nor is any man, nor is anyone, No
- 6:43Speaker 1: is any person.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Here's what I never heard. She says that the baby
- 6:47Speaker 2: was moving quite a bit during the intercourse and that
- 6:51Speaker 2: he quote enjoyed it. Now, I've never heard that express Donald,
- 6:54Speaker 2: you're a man with many kids. Just when when you're
- 6:57Speaker 2: in late stage your pregnancy, does the baby mover owned
- 7:00Speaker 2: a lot? Is that a thing?
- 7:01Speaker 1: Well, yeah, naturally it does. But you know, I imagine
- 7:08Speaker 1: when things into environments.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I've honestly never heard it.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I was watching sometimes it could be scary, anything.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Like get the fuck out of it?
- 7:26Speaker 1: WHOA what is how are you? What you're doing up
- 7:30Speaker 1: in here?
- 7:33Speaker 2: I never get out of my space.
- 7:35Speaker 1: This is this is my room.
- 7:37Speaker 2: I've honestly never room. I've never heard it discussed. I've
- 7:42Speaker 2: heard people make jokes about like, oh, we can't have sex,
- 7:44Speaker 2: I have a baby in me, But I've never heard
- 7:46Speaker 2: of like the actual biology if if the baby reacts
- 7:50Speaker 2: to during intercourse until this episode, I.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Mean don't doesn't, doesn't can't seem and like cause labor also,
- 8:00Speaker 1: like I don't know, man, you know they.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Do they do encourage. Like if you know you're very
- 8:06Speaker 4: pregnant and you do dates right around the corner and
- 8:08Speaker 4: you're like, I want this baby out of me, They're like,
- 8:10Speaker 4: sex can help. I don't know how that works, but sex.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Donald just said the semen. I would think it's the movement.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Yes, I think. I think it's all of it. I
- 8:23Speaker 1: think it's all of the lubrication.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Can you google whether semen can induce labor? Because I
- 8:29Speaker 2: don't think that's true. It's a fake doctor.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Listen as a fake doctor. It can be true.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Hold on as a fake doctor. Anything anything.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I can say, whatever the funk I want. I'm afraid
- 8:41Speaker 1: I've never stood up here and said this.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I'm a real doctor.
- 8:46Speaker 1: You should take what I say. It's fact as much
- 8:49Speaker 1: about that.
- 8:50Speaker 2: If a very pregnant woman is listening, I don't want
- 8:53Speaker 2: her to being like, oh let me go get some
- 8:54Speaker 2: seeming because I'm ready to give birth.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Sperm banks would be off the chain right now, get
- 9:05Speaker 1: out just.
- 9:08Speaker 4: Whoa Okay, everyone settle in for this, So.
- 9:11Speaker 1: For right let's just start with that. Let's just start.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Sexual activity, especially having an orgasm can really sexytocin, which
- 9:22Speaker 4: may help jump start eatering.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Contractions.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Also for pregnant people who have sex with men, there
- 9:27Speaker 4: are pro glanden hormones and semen that might help ripen
- 9:33Speaker 4: the cervix.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Oh, Donald, I only know this because I did a
- 9:38Speaker 1: movie called Home Delivery that involved uh some rip the cervix,
- 9:45Speaker 1: and so I know this. It's coming soon, y'all. So
- 9:48Speaker 1: when you get the chance, go check out Home Delivery.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Wow. Wow, Donald, I would have never guessed you were
- 9:53Speaker 2: right about that. But everyone, it's about intercourse. Don't do
- 9:56Speaker 2: shots of semen.
- 9:57Speaker 1: No, no, no, no no, don't drink it.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Oh my god, even Daniel saying, oh my god. All right,
- 10:07Speaker 2: so we got lots to talk about. So then we
- 10:09Speaker 2: see a montage that they are three weeks go by
- 10:13Speaker 2: and they're feeling each other. They're they're they're they're making it,
- 10:16Speaker 2: they're building the crib, they're doing all the stereotypic couple
- 10:19Speaker 2: about to have a baby things. And we learned that
- 10:21Speaker 2: Elliott's wedding is in one week and so things are
- 10:26Speaker 2: really building up. The janitor didn't get his invite because.
- 10:29Speaker 1: She hold up before we go, Before we go for forward,
- 10:33Speaker 1: I thought this was really interesting how uh JD and
- 10:37Speaker 1: Elliott are sharing the A storyline and the B storyline
- 10:40Speaker 1: is janitor, the janitor and the brain Trust. Uh how
- 10:44Speaker 1: often does that happen? I don't think we've paid attention
- 10:48Speaker 1: necessarily to that while making the show, but you know,
- 10:52Speaker 1: I just found that very interesting that the two of
- 10:54Speaker 1: them shared, like the his storyline, JD's storyline with Kim,
- 10:59Speaker 1: and Elliott's storyline with Keith. We're all a part of
- 11:04Speaker 1: our marrying they're sort of mirroring. Yeah, they're all kind
- 11:07Speaker 1: of the same storyline. And then the B storyline is
- 11:11Speaker 1: the brain Trust and the Janitor.
- 11:13Speaker 2: All right, uh Donald, special guest is here, Daniel Timpani,
- 11:16Speaker 2: Please some really juicy timpany some season six finale Timpany.
- 11:21Speaker 1: I can't believe we did it.
- 11:22Speaker 2: I can't let you and let special guest him.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Yay, No, I mean it was make more noise, more noise.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Hey.
- 11:37Speaker 3: I feel I feel like there is a concerted effort
- 11:40Speaker 3: to not get me to join my podcast today.
- 11:43Speaker 1: What are you talking about.
- 11:47Speaker 2: This whole season six? Bill, We've been talking about how
- 11:50Speaker 2: you're We said, oh, we should do it, ask Bill,
- 11:52Speaker 2: and then we're always like, no, he's way too busy.
- 11:54Speaker 2: We can't even ask to and ask Bill.
- 11:56Speaker 5: Yeah, just so you guys know, it's good to see
- 11:59Speaker 5: you all again.
- 12:00Speaker 3: I had a weird moment this morning because it is
- 12:02Speaker 3: the first time I drove into the set and that
- 12:04Speaker 3: security guard didn't say, I love your podcast.
- 12:10Speaker 2: We have to tell the audience if you haven't been
- 12:11Speaker 2: keeping track. Bill has been doing something I never really
- 12:14Speaker 2: knew someone could possibly do, and that is show running
- 12:17Speaker 2: two big ass shows simultaneously on different coasts, one in
- 12:22Speaker 2: Miami and one in lah Bill, how the hell are you?
- 12:25Speaker 2: You've just finished? Do you want to get in the
- 12:27Speaker 2: fetal position? What's happening in your hearing?
- 12:29Speaker 3: Man? I'm okay. I missed.
- 12:30Speaker 5: I miss you guys. It makes me really happy to
- 12:32Speaker 5: be Look, I liked my job a lot.
- 12:34Speaker 3: I'm never going to do that again.
- 12:35Speaker 5: I was a giant mistake, but uh, I want to stay.
- 12:40Speaker 3: I want to stay on this though, because I was
- 12:42Speaker 3: really I didn't get to prepare because Danill even knows
- 12:45Speaker 3: I was going to send something. I've been working on
- 12:46Speaker 3: some new caracter. I'll tell you what I need A
- 12:48Speaker 3: new character. Interrupting guy, anybody you know what the problem was.
- 12:52Speaker 3: I kept trying to obsess about a funnier way to
- 12:56Speaker 3: do interrupting guy and interrupting Bill, and I haven't, uh,
- 13:01Speaker 3: I haven't been able to beat I Still people still
- 13:04Speaker 3: talk to me on social media about when interrupting Bill
- 13:06Speaker 3: interrupted me interrupting you guys.
- 13:10Speaker 1: It was like it was like that.
- 13:13Speaker 2: It was like inception.
- 13:15Speaker 5: I got a new one. I'm gonna ruin it, so
- 13:17Speaker 5: it can't be one. But I think we should come
- 13:18Speaker 5: up with a new character for me today would be
- 13:20Speaker 5: helpful for me.
- 13:21Speaker 2: My new one.
- 13:23Speaker 5: Was and I wanted to do, Uh, I'm not finished
- 13:27Speaker 5: talking about this guy.
- 13:28Speaker 3: So here's here's my idea. My idea was to talk
- 13:33Speaker 3: about something Donald and I'd have to talk to you
- 13:35Speaker 3: about it before that is going to annoy Zach, Bill, Zach,
- 13:42Speaker 3: can we finished? Can we be done talking about this?
- 13:45Speaker 3: And then I was gonna say, yeah, all right, I'm
- 13:47Speaker 3: done talking about this. But when I say that, that
- 13:49Speaker 3: would be Daniel's cue to hit a button.
- 13:52Speaker 1: And I'm not talking about this.
- 13:58Speaker 2: My favorite part of this, part of this, my favorite
- 14:01Speaker 2: part of this is Bill in post on two giant
- 14:04Speaker 2: shows and instead he's sitting there brainstorming on a new
- 14:07Speaker 2: character for the podcast.
- 14:09Speaker 3: I'm not done talking about this guy.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Isn't bad No, that's great.
- 14:15Speaker 2: To have to prepare.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Well, you know, in my head, I have to find
- 14:18Speaker 3: a great topic that Donald and I can riff on.
- 14:22Speaker 3: It will eventually annoy Zach and then Zach can go,
- 14:25Speaker 3: oh my god, we start talking about this, and then
- 14:27Speaker 3: maybe Donald I would work it out and say we're done.
- 14:30Speaker 3: And that's when that's when my prompt of the guy
- 14:33Speaker 3: that's not done talking about this was the last point.
- 14:35Speaker 3: I think we could do that, Donald, And if we're careful,
- 14:38Speaker 3: Zach will never see it coming, even with this one.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Yeah, if it's about a basketball player, I might see
- 14:44Speaker 2: it coming.
- 14:45Speaker 1: You don't see it coming, regardless of what it is.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I don't think. I don't think you'll see it coming.
- 14:50Speaker 2: All right, Phil, I have questions. This is the season
- 14:52Speaker 2: six finale. It's the last episode on NBC.
- 14:56Speaker 3: I believe, I think so. And no, no, season seven
- 15:01Speaker 3: was the last episode on NBC because they juggled the
- 15:05Speaker 3: order of it. It was a shortened season seven, and
- 15:07Speaker 3: they made the Princess Bride homage the finale, even though
- 15:11Speaker 3: it was not the finale.
- 15:13Speaker 2: I see now, is there something? Is there some reason?
- 15:15Speaker 2: On scrubs Wiki, it says this is the last one
- 15:18Speaker 2: that Touchstone that has the Touchstone TV logo on it?
- 15:23Speaker 2: Is this when like ABC changed their name or something.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Could it be?
- 15:26Speaker 3: I don't know, you know, it's weird.
- 15:27Speaker 2: I was. I'll just tell you what it says, and
- 15:30Speaker 2: it made mean nothing, but it says this is the
- 15:32Speaker 2: last episode to use the two thousand and four Touchstone
- 15:36Speaker 2: television logo since the season four premiere. That's just something
- 15:40Speaker 2: un scrubs wiki. Maybe you don't know what the hell
- 15:42Speaker 2: that's about.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I do.
- 15:43Speaker 5: It's because Touchdone used to be their studio and then
- 15:46Speaker 5: they just all became Disney.
- 15:47Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 15:48Speaker 2: Got it? Got it? Got it? Oh, they changed to
- 15:50Speaker 2: Disney Memory.
- 15:51Speaker 5: There used to be Touchdowners too, and it became obsolete.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I missed, I missed Touchstone. And there was one other
- 15:57Speaker 1: one that wasn't there another Disney movie. It was Touchtone
- 16:01Speaker 1: and something else.
- 16:03Speaker 5: Touchtone with Disney's kind of cool you know.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Can't Buy Me Love and all of those. Yeah, and
- 16:10Speaker 1: it went away.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:12Speaker 5: I don't think you're allowed in these times to have
- 16:14Speaker 5: a company name that starts with touch.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Bill, did you? I know we were always kind of
- 16:20Speaker 2: going year by year. Was there any thought in your
- 16:23Speaker 2: mind that this could be the last season of the
- 16:27Speaker 2: last episode of the show.
- 16:28Speaker 3: No, I knew this one wasn't the last. They were
- 16:30Speaker 3: doing the show right then, And remember, we probably would
- 16:33Speaker 3: have stayed on It's a good trivia for next year.
- 16:36Speaker 3: If it weren't for the writers strike, we would probably
- 16:38Speaker 3: would have stayed on NBC even longer. That just kind
- 16:40Speaker 3: of confused things, right, and that happened this season, seventh.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Season season, then seventh season is shortened.
- 16:49Speaker 3: And the one thing that still is one of my
- 16:50Speaker 3: top five scrubs internet traffic about when the writers strike hit,
- 16:55Speaker 3: we had a bunch of episodes in the can, but
- 16:57Speaker 3: not one that could conceivably be NBC series finale. So
- 17:01Speaker 3: they juggled it and they made the Princess Bride episode,
- 17:05Speaker 3: which was really cool, Yes, the season finale, and hinted
- 17:09Speaker 3: it could be the series finale.
- 17:10Speaker 5: But if it was the series finale, it made no
- 17:12Speaker 5: sense and.
- 17:13Speaker 3: It made me very mad.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I know, I'm frustrated about that too, because I directed it,
- 17:17Speaker 2: and you and I and the whole crew and Cass
- 17:21Speaker 2: put so much love into that, And then I feel
- 17:23Speaker 2: like it was sort of judged harshly because people were
- 17:26Speaker 2: judging it as the series finale.
- 17:27Speaker 3: It was very weird.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Never we never meant it to. I mean, you know,
- 17:31Speaker 2: I think people would have loved it and digested it
- 17:34Speaker 2: differently if they thought, oh, this is just a super
- 17:36Speaker 2: out of the box episode of Scrubs, as opposed to
- 17:37Speaker 2: we're ending the series on this.
- 17:39Speaker 3: They did what was their right and they flipped the order.
- 17:42Speaker 3: So Ken Jenkins's character Kelso had even already left the
- 17:45Speaker 3: hospital and then for some reason in the season finale
- 17:48Speaker 3: he's back working there again.
- 17:49Speaker 2: It was very weird. Yeah, yeah, well yeah, back to
- 17:55Speaker 2: this one.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Back to this one.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I was gonna say, I was just gonna just put
- 17:59Speaker 1: that in to comparison, uh, with everything that's shifting at
- 18:04Speaker 1: Warner Brothers. I mean, that's just how it goes. Man.
- 18:06Speaker 1: The business is the business, and I know fans get
- 18:09Speaker 1: pissed off about stuff like that, but there's nothing that
- 18:13Speaker 1: we as creatives can do about that, you know what
- 18:15Speaker 1: I mean?
- 18:16Speaker 3: Well, there is there is, I'll tell you there, Okay, yes, here.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Is going to release.
- 18:25Speaker 2: What did I just start?
- 18:26Speaker 3: What did I go? There is? I just hit a
- 18:28Speaker 3: button in.
- 18:31Speaker 2: I watched the whole thing.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Right now, watched the whole Instagram.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Have you guys had Instagram. He's broken back Girl into
- 18:39Speaker 2: many instant stories.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Yeah. By the way, I'm making more time for social
- 18:44Speaker 3: media now, maybe if I start acting it out the uh.
- 18:50Speaker 5: So, here's the people like to say that things are changing.
- 18:54Speaker 5: They aren't changing. It's just more of the same. And
- 18:56Speaker 5: what I mean by that is, uh.
- 19:01Speaker 3: The one truth is that the businesses and powers that
- 19:05Speaker 3: be in Hollywood will always do understandably.
- 19:09Speaker 5: I'll be careful what's right for them till the end
- 19:13Speaker 5: of time.
- 19:14Speaker 3: The story of Batgirl, there's a thousand stories like that,
- 19:18Speaker 3: of expensive pilots and shows and movies shelved and redone.
- 19:23Speaker 2: That's what Donald said when I was saying it's never
- 19:25Speaker 2: been done before.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Been done billion times.
- 19:27Speaker 2: No, I know what I meant was with a ninety
- 19:29Speaker 2: million dollar feature, I don't think that's been done before.
- 19:31Speaker 2: But Donald's yet last week was saying, well, yeah, but
- 19:34Speaker 2: think about pilots. It's it's maybe not as much money,
- 19:36Speaker 2: but it's a fuck load of money.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Think about the amount of movies and TV shows that
- 19:42Speaker 3: were completely reshot to make it.
- 19:46Speaker 5: By the way, one of the most famous things they
- 19:48Speaker 5: made the Game of Thrones pilot.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 19:51Speaker 5: And by the way, also Zach if you add up
- 19:53Speaker 5: we're Saanda is a new thing? How is this that
- 19:55Speaker 5: much different than all the super expensive I could have
- 19:59Speaker 5: added up TV pilots that were made, invested in shot,
- 20:03Speaker 5: and then never allowed to be shown to anybody I
- 20:06Speaker 5: personally have made. I'm just counting them a cool seventy
- 20:11Speaker 5: five million dollars worth of pilots that were never seen
- 20:14Speaker 5: by a single person that exists.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it's exactly what Donald was saying last week.
- 20:19Speaker 2: I get it.
- 20:20Speaker 3: And the opposite side of this, I will tell you
- 20:22Speaker 3: that a cool thing for content creators is that there
- 20:27Speaker 3: is still a leverage shift. Once you do something that
- 20:32Speaker 3: everybody digs, and the second you do something that everybody digs,
- 20:36Speaker 3: the leverage shift goes from the studio and company paying
- 20:40Speaker 3: for it to the creators make and making it and
- 20:44Speaker 3: the people in it. But that's the fact that that
- 20:46Speaker 3: hasn't changed yet is great. So even in the Netflix
- 20:48Speaker 3: model where they say, oh, Netflix, you're going to do
- 20:52Speaker 3: three years and be gone, right, Stranger Fiction, you know
- 20:57Speaker 3: is strangely it's still on because there's a leverage shift
- 21:01Speaker 3: on that show, you know, because it the creators and
- 21:03Speaker 3: people that make it so in demand.
- 21:07Speaker 5: You know that they get to keep doing whatever the
- 21:08Speaker 5: heck they want to keep doing, you.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Know, and so Stranger Things, Stranger Things.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Yes, it's strange fiction by because I was thinking about
- 21:16Speaker 3: a weird movie. Stranger Things there, you know, did not
- 21:19Speaker 3: do two seasons and go out like other Netflix shows.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean? It's it's going to
- 21:23Speaker 1: do five seasons.
- 21:24Speaker 3: It looks like yeah, and like look even uh ted
- 21:28Speaker 3: Lasso is a great example because when it was pitched,
- 21:32Speaker 3: it was definitely pitched as a two or three season show,
- 21:36Speaker 3: and everybody was fine with that. And now it is,
- 21:39Speaker 3: without a doubt, one hundred percent Jason Sudeikis's prerogative how
- 21:42Speaker 3: long that show goes on? You know what I mean?
- 21:44Speaker 2: Do you want to give us any Do you want
- 21:46Speaker 2: to give us any any any if you were to
- 21:48Speaker 2: tell us Bill, we would get so many listens, We
- 21:51Speaker 2: would get a lot of publicity.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Would maybe we can say click for our podcast.
- 21:59Speaker 3: It can be you know why even if I even
- 22:01Speaker 3: if I knew, I wouldn't But I don't know, because
- 22:06Speaker 3: it is so firmly mister Sudacus's calls for himself.
- 22:10Speaker 5: And I think that's the cool beauty of this show
- 22:13Speaker 5: is he'll know and he'll let people know.
- 22:15Speaker 3: When it's time to let him know. You know, Yeah,
- 22:17Speaker 3: Zach was one of the things I was doing. Zach
- 22:19Speaker 3: was in it Donald and he was very very good.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Uh And I won't do any spoilers because he had
- 22:26Speaker 3: to do drama and violence and uh uh be a
- 22:32Speaker 3: drug addict and he absolutely crushed it.
- 22:36Speaker 2: And I had to thank you.
- 22:38Speaker 3: I had not seen our friend Zach act in a while,
- 22:40Speaker 3: and it made me think I got to see my
- 22:42Speaker 3: friend Donald act in one of these things too. Man,
- 22:44Speaker 3: it's been too long. I A.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I agree, you know what I agree on, understood, But
- 22:50Speaker 1: I will say this, Zach is leveled up in his acting.
- 22:53Speaker 1: He was good, but he's leveled up.
- 22:57Speaker 3: By the way. I will say this.
- 23:00Speaker 2: I don't how Bill, out of all these years, Bill
- 23:02Speaker 2: came to me almost surprised, like, you're really good in that?
- 23:08Speaker 1: Done.
- 23:09Speaker 3: I used to get pegged on this all the time,
- 23:10Speaker 3: the ultimate infult, which is I use the word actually,
- 23:15Speaker 3: you were actually really good in that. But I will
- 23:20Speaker 3: say this, I got a good topic for this. And
- 23:22Speaker 3: then you can go back to the show because it's
- 23:23Speaker 3: back takes it back to all of us. You guys
- 23:25Speaker 3: can use this or not use this. So since we
- 23:27Speaker 3: did that thing in Texas, I'm always inundated with people
- 23:32Speaker 3: asking if we're gonna reboot Scrubs, And I always, you know,
- 23:35Speaker 3: because we said, yeah, we'll do it sometime. We will
- 23:37Speaker 3: do it sometime, right because it'll be fun and we
- 23:40Speaker 3: love each other. And that picture of all of us
- 23:42Speaker 3: at dinner and gives me joy whenever I see it.
- 23:45Speaker 3: But none of us are you know, none of us
- 23:47Speaker 3: are like going like, oh, we have to make it
- 23:49Speaker 3: happen tomorrow.
- 23:49Speaker 5: We'll just do it sometime. But don't you think the
- 23:53Speaker 5: three of us idiots should work together before that and
- 23:56Speaker 5: figure out a way to all work together.
- 23:58Speaker 2: You had me in Hello. I was.
- 24:02Speaker 1: You had me when you said don't you think.
- 24:06Speaker 2: You had me when you said.
- 24:12Speaker 3: It could be about uh, by the way, it could
- 24:15Speaker 3: be about an upstart podcast that I run.
- 24:21Speaker 1: This, but this will this will be good.
- 24:27Speaker 3: He has a cool, savvy producer named Joel, and.
- 24:31Speaker 2: I just a woman who can play Joel. But you know, man,
- 24:36Speaker 2: you know Dan, We're good all we love We love you, man,
- 24:40Speaker 2: and we were dying to do something with you. I
- 24:43Speaker 2: never I was literally swiping tears from laughter watching this
- 24:47Speaker 2: episode Bill and and and it's how many years ago?
- 24:51Speaker 2: And it just makes me laugh so hard. Uh has
- 24:54Speaker 2: said are obviously it goes without saying, we'd love to
- 24:57Speaker 2: do anything with you.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Well, that's what's that was one of my other characters
- 25:00Speaker 3: is steal your idea guy, So if you want to
- 25:05Speaker 3: bring us in, what it would be funny to see
- 25:08Speaker 3: Zach and Donald do together?
- 25:09Speaker 2: Oh that's a good runner for season seven?
- 25:13Speaker 3: Feel it? Yes?
- 25:14Speaker 2: Instead of this is great?
- 25:15Speaker 5: All right, that's a great I just need a legal disclaimer.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Yes, an idea. If you make the mistake saying what
- 25:22Speaker 3: your idea is and anything close to your idea shows up,
- 25:26Speaker 3: that's not my problem.
- 25:27Speaker 1: No, you're carrying on the show. You're carrying.
- 25:30Speaker 2: You're gonna have to sign something like if we actually
- 25:32Speaker 2: make a show out of it, they get like you
- 25:35Speaker 2: a checker.
- 25:36Speaker 3: They get a T shirt, they get a shirt.
- 25:39Speaker 2: No, but how fun would it be for season seven?
- 25:41Speaker 2: Is instead of fix your life and instead of random questions,
- 25:44Speaker 2: it's just pitch your idea for the Zach and Donald
- 25:46Speaker 2: Bill Larne show.
- 25:48Speaker 1: How many times do you think we'd be were wolves?
- 25:55Speaker 1: You know, doctor doctor Akila would be doctor.
- 26:01Speaker 2: We'd have to make a role that you can't pitch
- 26:03Speaker 2: doctor Acula. Right, okay, so all right, you can't get back.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Let's get it can't be related to Scrubs because then
- 26:10Speaker 2: then then it's owned by somebody else. All right, let's
- 26:12Speaker 2: talk about.
- 26:13Speaker 1: All right, so this is official. So the new instead
- 26:15Speaker 1: of fix your life, the new segment at the end
- 26:18Speaker 1: of the show is that I'll do next.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Yeah, send us a memo to Scrubs iHeart at gmail
- 26:25Speaker 4: dot com.
- 26:27Speaker 1: There, yeah, there you go, and then we'll this is why,
- 26:30Speaker 1: this is why this podcast belongs to Bill Guys.
- 26:32Speaker 2: This is well it happens Joel. What happens Joel has
- 26:37Speaker 2: time to figure out the document that people need to
- 26:39Speaker 2: sign from when we actually made the show.
- 26:43Speaker 3: I'd say, bye, Zach, you've been around it before. If
- 26:45Speaker 3: anybody makes a mistake of talking about an idea in
- 26:48Speaker 3: front of me, I generally say I own twenty percent.
- 26:52Speaker 2: But we know from doing the show with you that
- 26:54Speaker 2: you'd be like, what did you guys do this weekend?
- 26:57Speaker 2: A week later, Hey, we're a little stuck in the
- 27:02Speaker 2: writer's room. What did you guys do this weekend? We
- 27:07Speaker 2: tried to get into a club and I was wearing
- 27:09Speaker 2: a giant clock around my neck and the bouncer wouldn't let.
- 27:12Speaker 1: It did not happen. There's no ya, Zach.
- 27:16Speaker 3: You can almost believe it happened.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Yea. All right, So Bill, I don't know if you
- 27:23Speaker 2: have a chance to watch the episode or not, but
- 27:25Speaker 2: we'll remind you of things.
- 27:26Speaker 3: I didn't watch it, but I read the wiki thing
- 27:28Speaker 3: and I remember it very well, and I have some
- 27:30Speaker 3: good trivia about it.
- 27:31Speaker 1: All right, before we do that, we're going to take
- 27:32Speaker 1: a break. We'll be right back after right now, and.
- 27:41Speaker 3: We're back.
- 27:51Speaker 1: And it came it's so smooth with.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Bill, and we're back is really for the host.
- 27:59Speaker 3: So we gotta take another little break for a second.
- 28:02Speaker 3: We gotta take another little bro you should probably break now.
- 28:04Speaker 3: It's take a little break. We're back, guys, now, we're back.
- 28:14Speaker 1: We're back.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Please don't the audience doesn't want to hear unnecessary commercial.
- 28:25Speaker 3: I got another character.
- 28:26Speaker 2: So listen when when Cox kicks everybody out of the lobby, Bill,
- 28:36Speaker 2: I believe you're one of the people that's running out
- 28:39Speaker 2: of the gift shop and stealing from the gift shop.
- 28:42Speaker 5: It takes something.
- 28:45Speaker 2: But first of all, I didn't understand, for I didn't
- 28:47Speaker 2: see your cameo. But I saw on Scrubs Wiki that
- 28:49Speaker 2: it says you're one of the people. But then I
- 28:51Speaker 2: didn't understand why I Cox screams everyone out of the lobby,
- 28:54Speaker 2: everyone out of here, and and and and then people
- 28:57Speaker 2: really they they loose the gift shop.
- 29:01Speaker 3: I just want you to know that, aside from my
- 29:05Speaker 3: embarrassing cameos which I intended, which is the priest and
- 29:09Speaker 3: then the janitor at the end, every other cameo I
- 29:12Speaker 3: had on this show happened because you were shooting a
- 29:15Speaker 3: scene on the first floor and I was on the
- 29:17Speaker 3: way to the kitchen.
- 29:19Speaker 1: To steal.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Or the top of a muffin.
- 29:23Speaker 3: If I if I were to the kitchen and they
- 29:26Speaker 3: were doing something that I could put myself in, I
- 29:29Speaker 3: would stop and put myself in out of sheer boredom.
- 29:32Speaker 2: In my Scrubs world, you the janitor and the and
- 29:36Speaker 2: the and the minister in Bahammad's are the same guy.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Yeah, that makes sense. Probably, By the way, my favorite
- 29:47Speaker 3: cameo I put myself in was there was an episode
- 29:50Speaker 3: where other people that the B team had the voiceover.
- 29:52Speaker 3: It was Christa and the Todd and Sam Lloyd all
- 29:55Speaker 3: had voiceovers in one episode and Chris. We're in the
- 29:58Speaker 3: coffee place. I was going to get a call coffee
- 30:00Speaker 3: and she says the reason that she was such a
- 30:03Speaker 3: horrible person is that her parents were very mean to her.
- 30:05Speaker 3: And you can actually hear me in the background in
- 30:07Speaker 3: the line, but apparently her parents were very mean.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we did that one. We did that episode.
- 30:12Speaker 5: And by the way, that was nobody even knew.
- 30:13Speaker 3: I was going to say it's off, Mike, because I
- 30:15Speaker 3: just walked in there and said that I was very
- 30:16Speaker 3: It was probably my proudest camera. Whatever we do together
- 30:22Speaker 3: is going to have to have a component that I'm
- 30:23Speaker 3: allowed to walk in and say something what I feel like.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Okay, those of you, those of you prepared to pitch
- 30:27Speaker 2: your ideas, write in random appearance as a built I
- 30:31Speaker 2: love that all your random appearances have to do with
- 30:33Speaker 2: you going to the kitchen to get a snack.
- 30:36Speaker 5: I'm in the show whenever I was really hungry.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Yes, I remember the John but Juice Face. Do you
- 30:42Speaker 1: remember the John but Juice Face? Where you came to
- 30:45Speaker 1: set every morning with the John but Juice That was
- 30:47Speaker 1: like three years in the room. Yeah, and then we
- 30:49Speaker 1: put it.
- 30:50Speaker 3: We put that whole thing in the show because I
- 30:53Speaker 3: was weird about which one I liked, and I think
- 30:54Speaker 3: we had you saying that I can't remember what.
- 30:56Speaker 1: It was orange goo goo orange, which.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Is not a smoothie flavor, but came out.
- 31:06Speaker 2: So Bill, I don't know if you remember this, but
- 31:07Speaker 2: after you loot the gift shop because Cox has screamed
- 31:11Speaker 2: at everyone to go, a plant stands up and runs animated.
- 31:15Speaker 2: An animated plant longs down.
- 31:18Speaker 3: One of the top five worst things we've ever done.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and by the way, it's so stort random.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Ask me if the animation is very good.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Is the animation a good, Bill, No, it's horrible. It's
- 31:29Speaker 2: really bad to this day and age Donald could have
- 31:34Speaker 2: done the stop motion and would looked really fucking awesome.
- 31:36Speaker 5: By the way, Donald's stop motions getting good.
- 31:38Speaker 1: I'm working on it.
- 31:39Speaker 2: He leveled up and I'm.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Working on it. I'm working on it.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Yo.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Why is Colonel Doctor never invited to any Oh my god.
- 31:45Speaker 2: There's a really you just had an episode where Sarah,
- 31:49Speaker 2: really this is Colonel Doctor in terms of her wedding invites,
- 31:52Speaker 2: And in this episode, Jordan, this is Colonel Doctor to
- 31:56Speaker 2: be invited to the baptism. The poor guy gets a
- 31:58Speaker 2: lot of hate in the hospital.
- 32:00Speaker 3: By the way, you know that you remember who Colonel
- 32:02Speaker 3: Doctors's son is. It's Lloyd, Yes, Mike Schwartz, a meth
- 32:08Speaker 3: addicted bad You guys, remember what Colonel Doctor's.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Real name is? Coleman.
- 32:20Speaker 2: You're talking to to guys, we're just watched most of
- 32:23Speaker 2: the Scrubs series.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Bill.
- 32:25Speaker 5: It's Cole Slot and Lloyd Swasky.
- 32:28Speaker 1: And Lloyd Slowsky, Lloyd Slosky.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Mike Schwartz. Mike Schwartz has a few laughs in this
- 32:34Speaker 2: episode because he's to remind you that janitors replaced Doug.
- 32:38Speaker 2: I believe place.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Johnny Castle is very funny on the outskirts watching, you know,
- 32:46Speaker 1: watching from the outside in.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Let's just remind you audience of a few plot points here.
- 32:51Speaker 2: So the janitor in this episode has has been invited
- 32:54Speaker 2: to Sarah's wedding at Elliott's wedding, and he's so shocked.
- 32:58Speaker 2: He in fact, she hugs him. And I don't think
- 33:01Speaker 2: we've ever seen or do ever see the janitor. Oh
- 33:03Speaker 2: maybe other than lady. We don't ever see him hug
- 33:06Speaker 2: anybody else.
- 33:07Speaker 5: He hugs Carl up, but not really hugging.
- 33:09Speaker 3: He's trying.
- 33:10Speaker 5: He hugs her and picks her up and shakes her
- 33:12Speaker 5: back and forth, thank you for being in the picture.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Okay, that's right, that's right, that's right. But he gets
- 33:19Speaker 2: a hug from Blonde doctor who we we know he
- 33:21Speaker 2: has a special place in his heart and Blonde and
- 33:27Speaker 2: then so then he assembles the brain Trust to figure
- 33:29Speaker 2: out how what he can get her as a wedding present.
- 33:32Speaker 2: And he's decided to kick Doug out of the brain
- 33:35Speaker 2: Trust and replace Doug with Lloyd Lloyd Sluwsky.
- 33:39Speaker 5: Yeah, yes, he never he never thought Doug was offering
- 33:43Speaker 5: that much to the brain Trust.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Yeah right.
- 33:45Speaker 2: In fact, the brain Trust we learned to have special pagers,
- 33:48Speaker 2: and he asked Doug to return the special pager.
- 33:51Speaker 3: Do you know who my favorite brain Trust member was
- 33:54Speaker 3: that we had trouble getting back because I don't even
- 33:56Speaker 3: know if she was acting or doing other things.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Crazy Margo, Yeah, crazy Eyes Margo did disappear.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it was they all did. So did Troy. Troy's gone.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Troy's gone. Troy was by the way, the brain Trust
- 34:11Speaker 3: was always evolving, uh, and it always gave me great
- 34:14Speaker 3: joy to see it. Every time.
- 34:16Speaker 5: I think tarn was in the brain Trust for a second,
- 34:19Speaker 5: we haven't.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Gotten to Tarran yet. I can't wait for this.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Must be season seven, season seven.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Here we go either season seven or eight, one or
- 34:26Speaker 1: the other.
- 34:27Speaker 2: So there's a joke about how couples can finish each
- 34:31Speaker 2: other's sentences, and we think it's gonna be car but
- 34:34Speaker 2: then it's me Donald, I mean, and I tell you
- 34:41Speaker 2: that I hit it good, rowdy style. You got to
- 34:43Speaker 2: look out because it's dangerous.
- 34:49Speaker 1: I ain't notting happened to that baby.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that's talking about having intercourse with a very pregnant woman.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Donald's an expert in knowing uh wow, how how to
- 35:01Speaker 2: be careful wow sex? Kids?
- 35:06Speaker 5: Was doctor Cox's kids confirmation in this.
- 35:11Speaker 2: Uh the baptism Baptist Baptist?
- 35:15Speaker 5: Was that like with the in the sun and do
- 35:17Speaker 5: we do?
- 35:17Speaker 3: Because I think? And then do we still?
- 35:19Speaker 1: Do we still?
- 35:20Speaker 5: Was that with Cheryl Hines or was that a different one?
- 35:22Speaker 2: That's a different one one.
- 35:24Speaker 1: This is what this is with little j d Oh.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Yeah, Jordan Is is really fucking with Cox in this episode.
- 35:33Speaker 2: And she's made jd uh me Jennifer Dillon Jennifer, but
- 35:37Speaker 2: she's made Yeah, she made me the godfather. And Cox
- 35:40Speaker 2: will do anything he can to change this. He's he's
- 35:43Speaker 2: just promising, and she's trying to negotiate with Jordan. He's
- 35:46Speaker 2: trying to negotiate with jd.
- 35:48Speaker 3: If I remember correctly, you just said can she be
- 35:52Speaker 3: named Jennifer Dillon and she said sure?
- 35:54Speaker 1: Why not? I think so happened yet, that is what happened.
- 35:59Speaker 1: That's because he didn't show up for something and you
- 36:01Speaker 1: were there.
- 36:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I think he missed the birth.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Yeah right, And Jordan is just taking such glee and
- 36:07Speaker 2: kissing Perry off.
- 36:08Speaker 1: And the baby's big already. Wow, yeah, it's only been
- 36:12Speaker 1: two episodes. The baby's sitting.
- 36:18Speaker 3: You guys ever talked about this on TV? It's you
- 36:21Speaker 3: got two choices, either the baby's big or like. I
- 36:24Speaker 3: also don't like covering a one year old baby with
- 36:26Speaker 3: fake viscous stuff. When it's born, it's always baby.
- 36:31Speaker 2: You know. But you have to do that because you
- 36:33Speaker 2: obviously can't use a newborn. You have to use a
- 36:36Speaker 2: young baby. And they put this like jelly on it
- 36:38Speaker 2: to make it look you can't use the fake baby.
- 36:40Speaker 2: The fake baby looks so bad.
- 36:41Speaker 1: It's terrifying, you know what.
- 36:42Speaker 5: I can't believe we didn't do on a show that
- 36:44Speaker 5: had fantasies.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Is the fact that we never did a baby being born,
- 36:49Speaker 3: and the fantasy of it having either Donald's or your face, Zach,
- 36:52Speaker 3: and just being one of you already on a baby.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Do we have was the special effects level. I mean
- 37:02Speaker 1: we had a plan.
- 37:02Speaker 3: We remember float Floating and Doctor is just Zach going
- 37:08Speaker 3: around like.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it was fun to shoot floating head Doctor because
- 37:13Speaker 2: I would just put the green screen suit on and
- 37:15Speaker 2: just bop around.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Didn't you wear that?
- 37:19Speaker 2: On?
- 37:19Speaker 1: Conan?
- 37:21Speaker 2: That was when I when I had done Oz the
- 37:23Speaker 2: Great and Powerful, and I was talking about being the
- 37:27Speaker 2: the you know, the the little bell hop monkey sidekick.
- 37:30Speaker 2: I we did a whole bit about how I. Conan
- 37:34Speaker 2: asked how he did it, and I said, you know,
- 37:36Speaker 2: they had a puppet and everything, but most of the
- 37:37Speaker 2: time it was it was better for the other actors,
- 37:39Speaker 2: so they just acted on me, acted off with me.
- 37:41Speaker 2: So I just wore like a green screen suit and
- 37:43Speaker 2: like duck down and then and then we did a
- 37:46Speaker 2: whole bit where.
- 37:47Speaker 1: The green screen suit was very revealing.
- 37:50Speaker 3: Snug. I remember snug.
- 37:53Speaker 1: I remember the photos that are online. Are you covering
- 37:56Speaker 1: up your junk with your hands?
- 37:57Speaker 5: I remember being snug and very cold apparently.
- 38:03Speaker 2: I remember I made a joke to him because I
- 38:06Speaker 2: was nervous. I was self conscious about being in the onesie,
- 38:09Speaker 2: and I said, I'm going to cover it because I
- 38:11Speaker 2: don't want the audience to see my moose knuckle. And
- 38:14Speaker 2: he had never heard that term, so he started cracking
- 38:17Speaker 2: up at moose knuckles.
- 38:21Speaker 5: Proud Moments, crowd moments of your Earth.
- 38:25Speaker 2: It was really funny. There's a really funny gift of
- 38:28Speaker 2: or maybe it's a videot but of me like air
- 38:31Speaker 2: humping in the green screen suit on Conan and Andy Richter,
- 38:34Speaker 2: and Conan's faces are so funny. They're both like they
- 38:39Speaker 2: both like look away, all right. The gift ideas. Ted's
- 38:47Speaker 2: gift idea for blonde Doctor's wedding is that he got
- 38:50Speaker 2: his mom quote the weird birth control thing that they
- 38:54Speaker 2: sew under your armskin.
- 38:57Speaker 3: Yeah that's funny because he got it for his mom.
- 39:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and his mom loves it. Apparently.
- 39:04Speaker 3: Apparently is a great gift Happy Birthday.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Lloyd suggests robbing someone's home and bringing all the all
- 39:13Speaker 2: of the houses contents as the wedding gifts.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Okay, I wrote this down and I hope I'm not
- 39:21Speaker 1: skipping too for I hope I'm not skipping your head.
- 39:24Speaker 1: You're not my mom, Jim?
- 39:29Speaker 2: Is that is that?
- 39:30Speaker 1: Okay? Okay, all right, next time, let's say let's.
- 39:34Speaker 2: That's fine to wait. I just wanted to say that
- 39:37Speaker 2: real quickly, that the urologist that Kelso hates and is
- 39:40Speaker 2: fine re hiring Kim because he hates the urologist on
- 39:45Speaker 2: scrubs Wicki says, is Mike Henry, who was the voice
- 39:49Speaker 2: of Cleveland Brown.
- 39:51Speaker 5: Yep, he was friends with you and Garrett from Family Guy.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Oh god, it got it.
- 39:56Speaker 1: There you go.
- 39:57Speaker 2: I didn't know that, but that was uh and.
- 39:59Speaker 3: He had the was there and was very popular because
- 40:03Speaker 3: he had done You could still find this on the internet.
- 40:06Speaker 3: I don't know if you guys remember it he started.
- 40:08Speaker 3: It would have been huge now before things really like
- 40:10Speaker 3: had TikTok and funny Virals. He invented a fake TV
- 40:13Speaker 3: show called You've Been Kicked in the Nuts.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember that, you just got Kicked in the nuts.
- 40:18Speaker 3: And the whole thing was he Mike Henry in a
- 40:21Speaker 3: in a wig or it would run up and kick
- 40:23Speaker 3: people in the nuts and they would chase him to
- 40:26Speaker 3: try and beat him up, and uh uh he would
- 40:29Speaker 3: interrupt him, but mam, mam, mam, he's been kicked in
- 40:31Speaker 3: the nuts and you're pointing camera and then the guy
- 40:35Speaker 3: or girl who got kicked in the nuts would be
- 40:36Speaker 3: so happy that they were on the TV show.
- 40:41Speaker 1: By the way I saw it.
- 40:43Speaker 5: But go go online later and just do you've been
- 40:45Speaker 5: kicked in the nuts? You'll And then Neil does it.
- 40:48Speaker 1: I think Neil does a couple of them too. Neil's
- 40:51Speaker 1: like all we all did.
- 40:52Speaker 3: A bunch of us, did him.
- 40:53Speaker 5: They were a huge comedy writers back in the day.
- 40:57Speaker 1: You just got kicking the nuts.
- 40:59Speaker 2: I should give a shout out Neil Goldman because he's
- 41:02Speaker 2: one of Bill's main writers on one of his new
- 41:05Speaker 2: shows and I got Shrinking. Yeah, sorry, I should say
- 41:09Speaker 2: he's show running the new show Shrinking. And I just
- 41:11Speaker 2: got to spend a lot of time with him when
- 41:12Speaker 2: I was directing, and he's so funny and such a
- 41:15Speaker 2: good dude.
- 41:16Speaker 3: Yeah, so funny. So and you guys remember him from
- 41:19Speaker 3: years and he was one of the people that stayed
- 41:22Speaker 3: I think almost the whole way. I mean they left
- 41:24Speaker 3: before season nine, but they stayed through eight years.
- 41:27Speaker 1: He's also he's also he's also one of the writers
- 41:30Speaker 1: I mean a few of the writers have done this,
- 41:32Speaker 1: but he's also one of the writers that's had major
- 41:34Speaker 1: success after where he's gone on to show run and
- 41:37Speaker 1: create his own shows on other networks.
- 41:38Speaker 3: And well, the original staff of that show, almost everybody
- 41:44Speaker 3: created their own show or ran another great show, or
- 41:48Speaker 3: won Emmy's for something else. They were all that, the
- 41:49Speaker 3: original staff that shows all rock stars.
- 41:52Speaker 1: I just did want to Gabby. I just did one
- 41:53Speaker 1: of Gabby shows I did.
- 41:56Speaker 3: Did you do the one?
- 41:58Speaker 1: Yeah, House Pets? Yeah, yeah, very funny man, very funny,
- 42:03Speaker 1: a lot of fun.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Yeah, Neil, I said, we got to have you on
- 42:07Speaker 2: the podcast, and he goes, what podcasts?
- 42:12Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 42:12Speaker 2: Right, yeah, right, No, he was doing a bit every time.
- 42:16Speaker 1: That's just how he rolls.
- 42:18Speaker 2: He literally listens to see if his name ever gets back.
- 42:20Speaker 2: He's being delighted that he got a shout out in
- 42:22Speaker 2: this one. All right, JD approaches the new nurses Stan
- 42:26Speaker 2: and says, hey, Roger rerun. Probably the most mentioned sitcom
- 42:30Speaker 2: in the entire run of No.
- 42:32Speaker 5: Guys is What's Happening neck and neck with Sanford and Son.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Right, but What's Happening does get a lot of shout outs,
- 42:39Speaker 2: including a cameo from from Rerun.
- 42:42Speaker 3: Yeah, r I P man.
- 42:43Speaker 5: He was awesome that day.
- 42:44Speaker 3: By the way, you guys watch that.
- 42:47Speaker 5: So many crew members snuck into that big dancing fantasy.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Yeah, amazing everybody. Spiller Spiller, who is an avid listener
- 42:56Speaker 2: our one of our favorite directors, Michael Spiller, is in there.
- 43:00Speaker 2: He was obviously directing that episode. He's got he's got
- 43:02Speaker 2: the outfit on.
- 43:03Speaker 5: If he wasn't directing that episode, it's a new level
- 43:05Speaker 5: of intrusion.
- 43:08Speaker 1: That just that day I heard rerun Berry's in there.
- 43:14Speaker 1: I gotta get in the picture.
- 43:15Speaker 3: But yeah, hey, hey, hey, what's happening? Raj was probably
- 43:18Speaker 3: neck and neck with Safford and Son. You forget, like
- 43:23Speaker 3: even in Donald's Brain Fantasy with uh, Carla and Heather
- 43:28Speaker 3: Graham and Sarah all in there and we're inside Donald's brain.
- 43:32Speaker 3: The background music is the Safford and Sun theme song.
- 43:41Speaker 2: That was my favorite. It really was my It really
- 43:44Speaker 2: was my favorite show, which one What's happening? He Safford Son,
- 43:48Speaker 2: What's happening? It was my favorite show as a kid.
- 43:50Speaker 3: It was great.
- 43:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell Mama, Yeah, I'll tell mom.
- 43:55Speaker 2: These kids today will never know the genius of what's happening.
- 43:58Speaker 2: So Carla asked, Elliott, did you do that thing that
- 44:01Speaker 2: all guys want us to do?
- 44:03Speaker 1: What is this thing?
- 44:04Speaker 3: Or no?
- 44:04Speaker 2: Wait before I think it's meant to be.
- 44:07Speaker 3: I can remember, I can remember somebody's finished the setup.
- 44:11Speaker 3: You finished.
- 44:11Speaker 5: There's writers from talking about this.
- 44:13Speaker 2: I assume it's meant to be just a left up
- 44:16Speaker 2: for interpretation for everyone's mind. I actually threesome gets discounted
- 44:22Speaker 2: because you see later that there's not it's not a
- 44:24Speaker 2: thrisome But she says, did you do that thing all
- 44:27Speaker 2: guys want us to do but we swore we'd never do?
- 44:29Speaker 1: Well. She says that because Keith's acting, Keith's acting like
- 44:33Speaker 1: a freaking like whatever she wants him to do, he's
- 44:35Speaker 1: doing it, and he's doing it happily to us.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Carla says, no, I'm saving that bullet for a diamond
- 44:41Speaker 2: tennis bracelet. Now, later on in the episode, Carla is
- 44:45Speaker 2: proudly wearing a diamond tennis in the bed. So, now, build,
- 44:51Speaker 2: am I correct that you wanted the audience to just
- 44:52Speaker 2: insert whatever thing that they know.
- 44:54Speaker 3: Punished one of my Yes, it's one of my favorite
- 44:57Speaker 3: things about sexual in comedy, and this is not the
- 45:02Speaker 3: most famous version of this. I have been asked so
- 45:05Speaker 3: many times what Jake character played by Josh Randall, whispered
- 45:12Speaker 3: to Elliott before and we needed Elliott read to break
- 45:18Speaker 3: up with this character. Jake was on the show, ed,
- 45:23Speaker 3: Josh Randley's a funny actor, and we couldn't think of
- 45:26Speaker 3: why so she and if you remember back in that
- 45:29Speaker 3: episode she said, we finally came up with she should say,
- 45:32Speaker 3: you should be able to tell me what your fantasies
- 45:34Speaker 3: are and what you would really like us to do together. Okay,
- 45:38Speaker 3: and then we cut to he's forged to whisper, and
- 45:41Speaker 3: we cut outside. She's walking out, gone, we're done.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Oh my god, Jake, I remember that, Oh my god.
- 45:48Speaker 3: And that's when we decided that anytime we're stuck like that,
- 45:51Speaker 3: it's better to say, like everybody knows what it is,
- 45:55Speaker 3: and then just with the audience decide and then you
- 45:57Speaker 3: can judge when you meet people how disturbed they are.
- 46:00Speaker 2: Right. But also it allows you to not say anything
- 46:03Speaker 2: to Naughty on NBC. I guess it gets you around.
- 46:11Speaker 1: No, because your imagination automatically doc's bad man, I will say.
- 46:15Speaker 3: This time, you guys have said it.
- 46:17Speaker 2: All I know is that Carl Gottard Tennison, you.
- 46:20Speaker 3: Guys have said it before, and I don't know if
- 46:22Speaker 3: I'm proud or not proud. I feel for Network Television
- 46:27Speaker 3: that Scrubs is hop five filthiest shows ever.
- 46:30Speaker 2: It is, Oh dude, there, I mean, I can't believe
- 46:34Speaker 2: that when people are tell me they're watching this with
- 46:35Speaker 2: their kids, because I'm watching it now at forty seven
- 46:38Speaker 2: and I'm like, oh my god, I would never watch
- 46:40Speaker 2: this with my kid.
- 46:41Speaker 1: I tell my daughters and I tell my daughter and
- 46:43Speaker 1: my son to leave the room. Yeah, put it on
- 46:47Speaker 1: you guys. Guys got to get out of here.
- 46:48Speaker 2: I think Matt Tarsis told me he was all proud
- 46:50Speaker 2: that his like thirteen year old was watching the show
- 46:53Speaker 2: at the time, and then he was like, oh, it's
- 46:55Speaker 2: kind I feel proud. He's kind of circling back and
- 46:57Speaker 2: watching one of my shows. And then he walked in
- 46:58Speaker 2: the room and like walked right account because it was
- 47:00Speaker 2: so uncomfortable. Rough well, I you know, you know, to
- 47:06Speaker 2: remind the audience that at the time there was no streaming.
- 47:09Speaker 2: There was there was the half hour comedy was was
- 47:13Speaker 2: as I as I remember, solely on Network TV, and
- 47:16Speaker 2: you were trying to see how far you could push it.
- 47:19Speaker 3: Well, we had not, not just for being filthy, for
- 47:22Speaker 3: filthy's sake, but remember I would say the number one
- 47:24Speaker 3: show was Will and Grace. They pushed it.
- 47:27Speaker 1: They pushed it real far far. I mean we did.
- 47:30Speaker 1: We did have bulge jiggle in this episode. But Will
- 47:35Speaker 1: and Grace did push it.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we got and I believe, Oh it's not
- 47:38Speaker 2: the final bulge because this bill well, let's just get
- 47:42Speaker 2: to it because we'll we'll circle back to the stuff.
- 47:46Speaker 3: Just remember one of the rules of this show that
- 47:48Speaker 3: I said earlier. We had beautiful women female actresses on
- 47:51Speaker 3: this show, and uh and very handsome men well, and
- 47:55Speaker 3: such a strong diverse writing staff that we said, if
- 47:58Speaker 3: we're going to enter the world of sex and sex comedy.
- 48:01Speaker 5: And we're going to show girls and underwear doing.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Sexy thing, it had to be equal opportunity representation in
- 48:08Speaker 3: the filthiness and in the revealing this.
- 48:10Speaker 5: So there's just as much. By the way Todd and
- 48:13Speaker 5: Banana hammocks exactly what I was just talking about, I
- 48:16Speaker 5: know it exists.
- 48:17Speaker 3: Because or like you can't just go, oh, Sarah, you
- 48:20Speaker 3: got to be in a bra and underwear in this,
- 48:23Speaker 3: you know without going donald, you have to be.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Sock.
- 48:29Speaker 2: I was in the sock too. It works.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Well, all I know is there was a bit of
- 48:35Speaker 1: jiggle with the bulge.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Well let's talk about the bulge. We'll come back to
- 48:38Speaker 2: we were jumping him, but we'll come back. So the
- 48:41Speaker 2: janitor gets everyone together in the in the break room,
- 48:44Speaker 2: the brain trust and his scenario. They're trying to they
- 48:47Speaker 2: kidnap Keith and they're trying to run him through uh being,
- 48:51Speaker 2: trying to make sure there's gonna be a good husband
- 48:54Speaker 2: to Elliott. Now, the first thing is he says an example,
- 48:59Speaker 2: he used an example, how are you gonna be if
- 49:02Speaker 2: she loses the ability to use vowels? Gives an example
- 49:12Speaker 2: of her talking.
- 49:13Speaker 1: He goes, he goes, he goes, he goes, oh yeah,
- 49:15Speaker 1: he goes, he goes, that's wait. First it goes, you'd
- 49:17Speaker 1: be the janitor, I'll be Keith. All right, ready, go
- 49:22Speaker 1: you gotta do the first part where he goes, how
- 49:25Speaker 1: are you gonna do when he wakes.
- 49:27Speaker 2: To behave if she how are you gonna behave if
- 49:29Speaker 2: she loses the ability to use vowels?
- 49:31Speaker 1: That's ridiculous? And then he goes, oh yeah, then he goes,
- 49:35Speaker 1: he goes, I find that. I find that to be
- 49:38Speaker 1: a very poor answer from when somebody wakes up and
- 49:41Speaker 1: they say I can't even do the ship.
- 49:44Speaker 2: I mean, he's just made up by Neil, but it's like.
- 49:52Speaker 1: I can't do it because I'm saying and stuff like that.
- 49:55Speaker 2: But he was able to Oh, it's Neil being hilarious. Man.
- 50:00Speaker 2: So wait, that's the first thing. And then the janitor
- 50:03Speaker 2: comes up with a rehearsal scenario, and the janitor's uh
- 50:07Speaker 2: sets up the scenario where Keith has brought home his
- 50:10Speaker 2: gay ultimate frisbee teammate lands Play played by Todd Tod.
- 50:20Speaker 2: Rob goes, I should probably take my pants off.
- 50:27Speaker 1: And the janitor goes, wait for your queue.
- 50:29Speaker 2: Waiting for your queue, and then Rob sits down next
- 50:36Speaker 2: to ke to Keith, and he stands up and he
- 50:41Speaker 2: pulls off like bell Crow pulls off the fucking pants
- 50:45Speaker 2: and he's wearing his sparkled regal bulgy sparkled red banana. Ha.
- 50:53Speaker 3: Yes, of course he is.
- 50:57Speaker 2: And there's definitely jingle.
- 50:59Speaker 1: There's definitely there's no way you get away with that.
- 51:05Speaker 3: Not real jiggle, but there's definitely jiggle.
- 51:07Speaker 2: No, I think it's real. I think he's well doubted. Bill.
- 51:09Speaker 2: I have to tell you, I thought this was I
- 51:12Speaker 2: thought this was the season we moved to ABC after,
- 51:14Speaker 2: and I was like, this is definitely why they said
- 51:16Speaker 2: no more.
- 51:20Speaker 3: Odds. Banana Hammock was never visible on ABC. He always
- 51:23Speaker 3: had to be shot from the waist up.
- 51:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:26Speaker 1: And by the way, this is.
- 51:27Speaker 3: Also because I mean, I'm sure people figure it out
- 51:30Speaker 3: by now, but the writers had long ago decided that
- 51:35Speaker 3: Todd was We didn't even say bisexual. We said at
- 51:40Speaker 3: one time, I think we said metrosexual. That he will
- 51:42Speaker 3: have sex with.
- 51:43Speaker 1: Anything, anything. But I don't know if that's the right.
- 51:45Speaker 2: What is the right Joel, you're open, if you're open
- 51:49Speaker 2: to everything, Joel, you're fluid, right, that's the right way
- 51:51Speaker 2: to say.
- 51:51Speaker 4: You could say fluid. You might say Polly actual relationships
- 51:57Speaker 4: with people.
- 51:58Speaker 2: Yes, young and old. Age. He doesn't care about age.
- 52:01Speaker 3: You just care about God respects hot regardless of age
- 52:06Speaker 3: or gender. He said that on the show.
- 52:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:10Speaker 2: Wait, I want to say the funniest, the hardest I
- 52:12Speaker 2: laughed was when after the Banana Hamman's revealed, you cut
- 52:16Speaker 2: to Lloyd and he wins. He literally goes like this.
- 52:24Speaker 3: That was real reaction, not a character reaction.
- 52:29Speaker 2: It was so funny.
- 52:30Speaker 5: Did you guys know Rob is the type of guy
- 52:32Speaker 5: that would do it for his off camera as we.
- 52:34Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, absolutely, yeah.
- 52:37Speaker 2: He's such a giving actor that he would reveal the
- 52:39Speaker 2: banana having for off camera. Doug suggests, let's circle back.
- 52:44Speaker 2: Doug suggests a tour in the wine country for his gift,
- 52:49Speaker 2: and and then Ted says, we can't control what kind
- 52:52Speaker 2: of husband he's going to be. And then Janitor puts
- 52:55Speaker 2: on sunglasses and says, or can.
- 52:58Speaker 1: We who has the sunglasses on their head? Somebody has
- 53:02Speaker 1: a sunglasso. He goes, let me borrow your sunglasses real quick,
- 53:06Speaker 1: and he puts them on just so he could do that, and.
- 53:08Speaker 2: Then he goes and then he says, repeat it, and
- 53:12Speaker 2: so Sam repeats it exactly the same.
- 53:14Speaker 1: Almost, he almost doesn't exactly the same. He's late on
- 53:18Speaker 1: the queue with his with his hand, but he realizes
- 53:20Speaker 1: he's late to yo Sam Lloyd dude genius, Sam genius, dude, genius.
- 53:29Speaker 2: Man almost having Sam was having fun this episode. He
- 53:33Speaker 2: was like he was, he was he was extra playing.
- 53:35Speaker 2: He was funny. Anyway, he repeats the line the janitor
- 53:39Speaker 2: does it with the sunglasses. Uh can we see j
- 53:42Speaker 2: D writing in his Unicorn journal you have Jordans call
- 53:45Speaker 2: me Nancy, no chin, which I found hurtful even this
- 53:49Speaker 2: years later.
- 53:52Speaker 1: Buddy, buddy, you.
- 53:56Speaker 5: Have more of a chin than I do.
- 53:57Speaker 3: Right now, your chin looks good.
- 53:58Speaker 2: Don't have that. You know I don't have that much
- 54:01Speaker 2: of a chin.
- 54:02Speaker 1: You turn when you turn sideways, You're right, you don't.
- 54:04Speaker 1: But straight up, thank you, Zach.
- 54:07Speaker 5: You and I can't be will angled, guys.
- 54:09Speaker 2: We have. I once had a critic right about me,
- 54:12Speaker 2: the weak chinned breath. Oh good. It was so hard.
- 54:18Speaker 2: It made me so sad. But then here I am
- 54:20Speaker 2: and my best friends having a character call me Nancy.
- 54:25Speaker 3: That was it.
- 54:25Speaker 4: That was it.
- 54:26Speaker 5: That was about JD, the character, not about.
- 54:28Speaker 1: Okay, what's that story? I know, I know you meant it.
- 54:40Speaker 3: Rich I have'll call, I'll call eventually. That was a
- 54:47Speaker 3: horrible play, as good as anybody could be in it.
- 54:53Speaker 3: That was That's Richard's for you, guys. Richard kind complimented
- 54:57Speaker 3: Sarah Chalk. I won't say which one. And he's so
- 55:01Speaker 3: honest that Sarah said, what'd you think? And he goes, oh,
- 55:04Speaker 3: that was a horrible play. Just horrible, but you were
- 55:07Speaker 3: as good as anyone could be in it.
- 55:17Speaker 2: Bill's first a D on The Harrison Ford Show is
- 55:21Speaker 2: a friend of Bill's and also one of Richard Kaine's
- 55:24Speaker 2: best friends. And I sent Richard a picture of he
- 55:29Speaker 2: and I a selfie that I took with Ben is
- 55:33Speaker 2: his name, and I sent it to Richard and I said,
- 55:37Speaker 2: we're on the Harrison Ford Show, and Richard writes back,
- 55:41Speaker 2: Harrison looks great, solid.
- 55:55Speaker 3: It's funny.
- 55:56Speaker 2: I wanted him to play my father in this movie
- 55:58Speaker 2: I'm doing, and he couldn't work out the dates. But
- 56:02Speaker 2: it was almost going to do it. And I've read
- 56:04Speaker 2: the entire movie with his with the dad being his voice. Oh,
- 56:09Speaker 2: it should have been him, and now no one can
- 56:11Speaker 2: ever live up to that voice being my father.
- 56:14Speaker 3: I just got a random message from somebody else that
- 56:20Speaker 3: you should have on the show. I won't read it,
- 56:22Speaker 3: but I was trying to find it because he was
- 56:25Speaker 3: on this. Have you had Alan ruck on yet?
- 56:28Speaker 2: No, we don't have.
- 56:31Speaker 1: What he do it.
- 56:32Speaker 5: Yeah, he's crushing on succession, by the way.
- 56:34Speaker 2: Yeah, he's so good. That shows awesome and such a
- 56:38Speaker 2: really good all right, so let's just keep going. JD
- 56:41Speaker 2: says he's going to go right in his journal, I'm
- 56:45Speaker 2: so tired, I could use a naptism because he's trying
- 56:47Speaker 2: to rhyme baptism. And then he goes, I should, and
- 56:53Speaker 2: he goes, I'm gonna use that, and he goes, I
- 56:55Speaker 2: should write down pause for laughs, so I don't forget
- 56:58Speaker 2: to because he's so sure that the naptism joke's.
- 57:04Speaker 1: Going to crush.
- 57:06Speaker 2: Yeah, that was almost lifted.
- 57:08Speaker 3: I'll tell you, guys, a funny joke that was almost
- 57:10Speaker 3: lifted from an episode of Friends and someone else wrote
- 57:13Speaker 3: It's not me. It was so funny, but it was
- 57:16Speaker 3: Matt LeBlanc's character who was a bad actor. Do you
- 57:18Speaker 3: guys remember this as actors, you'd love this. They had him,
- 57:22Speaker 3: they had him doing an audition and he had to
- 57:24Speaker 3: do bad in it, you know what I mean. And
- 57:26Speaker 3: so he's got his script like this and he actually goes, uh,
- 57:30Speaker 3: that wasn't me, and I don't care what you say.
- 57:32Speaker 3: Long pause. So now we're what hey, guys, guys, guys,
- 57:42Speaker 3: we got to go to a quick commercial, quick commercial.
- 57:53Speaker 2: That we actually did have to. We actually did have
- 57:58Speaker 2: to go to a commercial. So Bill say thank you
- 58:00Speaker 2: for throwing he frowned upon the guests throwing the commercial.
- 58:07Speaker 1: I like that product, I use it, I like how,
- 58:15Speaker 1: I like how.
- 58:16Speaker 2: I'm like no, Bill, and then Dale was like, we
- 58:18Speaker 2: actually do need to do all right. So circling back,
- 58:25Speaker 2: this is when Sam yells, now, I ran on Scrubs
- 58:28Speaker 2: Wiki that this guy who plays the other lawyer was
- 58:31Speaker 2: a famous TV lawyer, advertising lawyer in fact, at the
- 58:36Speaker 2: time of the airing. I assume this is how you
- 58:38Speaker 2: found him, Bill. He was the largest TV lawyer advertiser guy.
- 58:44Speaker 2: And so the woman is asked to pick between him
- 58:48Speaker 2: and Sam to be her lawyer. And I'm saying you
- 58:53Speaker 2: did a cameo with I guess a guy who was
- 58:55Speaker 2: a famous advertising TV lawyer, and and the woman is
- 58:58Speaker 2: trying to choose between him and and Sam ted and
- 59:03Speaker 2: uh Ted braggs. My mom calls me thunder right, and
- 59:08Speaker 2: she chooses the other guy and the other guy tough
- 59:12Speaker 2: break thunder.
- 59:13Speaker 1: And my mom, Jim Mom.
- 59:20Speaker 3: I got a cool thing about this episode that you
- 59:23Speaker 3: might think is back towards the end.
- 59:24Speaker 5: Are we close to the end.
- 59:25Speaker 2: Yes, We're now going to talk about JD and Elliott
- 59:29Speaker 2: in bed together. I don't know how they got in
- 59:30Speaker 2: bed together. They were in separate bunks talking about how
- 59:33Speaker 2: they both felt trapped, and now all of a sudden
- 59:36Speaker 2: we cut back and there's been some missing dialogue because
- 59:39Speaker 2: now we're now they're in a single bed together cuddling.
- 59:42Speaker 1: Well, no, they were my eyes are my eyes going bad? Though?
- 59:45Speaker 1: Was that fog? Was it like out of focus? Like foggy?
- 59:49Speaker 2: I think there was a filter on it to make
- 59:50Speaker 2: it look romantic or something else.
- 59:52Speaker 3: A filter.
- 59:53Speaker 5: It's here's what was more interesting. There's two things that
- 59:56Speaker 5: are fascinating by this.
- 59:56Speaker 3: One is member. I thought forever this show would, in
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: any way, shape or form, be about will Elliott and
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: jd end up together?
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: And the rest of the writers, well, you lost the
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: battle with yourself built Well.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: The rest of the writers were like, it's inevitable. Remember
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: I tried to blow it up the first year and
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: all that stuff. And so we we in the in
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: that's the break room we'd established a thousand times, and
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: we're like, these two are both fucking up here, So
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: why can't they both end up just shooting the ship
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: and talking like it's innocuous? And then I had to
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: I told Christa she had to find a perfect song
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: that built to a huge, huge, huge crescendo because I said,
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: if we're gonna do it, we're gonna fuck with the
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: fans and have it seem like they're on the verge
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: of hooking up furious and then just go to Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: that song was perfect. It's Alive with the Glory of Love.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you're just thing.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: If you listen to the song, it's about a love
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: story in the concentration camps. Uh so it's this thing
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: about music. Look up the words right now and uh
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: you'll see Alive with the Glory. But it was perfect
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: because it is about longing and whether or not you
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: can be together. And christ have played it for me
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: and I'm like, oh, I don't know because of the words,
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: if we can use this. We edited some of that
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: part out and I thought it was perfect because it
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: just and then it goes black. I thought it was awesome.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a good it was It was well
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: done and it definitely builds up and I was like, oh,
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: they're gonn kiss, They're Gonakis, They're going kiss and then
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: you hard cut to black and it's like, that's a
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: that's a good way to end the season.
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: Yeah, And while we see your two significant others being alone.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: I know we're horrible people.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys got a little bit of of horrible
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: in you. You got a little bit of horrible in you.
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: I mean the audience is rooting for it, obviously, but.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: The audience got the audience got a little bit of
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: horrible in them too. Loa, let's just be honest, because
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: if you're rooting for this, if you're rooting for this
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: knowing what's at stake on the other side, all right, of.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Course, but you but you have you, that's not how
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: you appreciate something the audience is going. I'm so invested
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: in these two. I love them. They're both about I
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: audience member think they're both about to make big mistakes,
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: both of them, and they should be together. You know,
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: it's all it's all. It's all Bills and his team's
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: great writing that makes the audience so invested in them
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: and wants them to be together.
- 1:02:23Speaker 5: Well, can I just tell you, guys the thing about
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: the music? So I brought up the lyrics.
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: I think it's interesting because sometimes songs match perfectly for
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: lyrically for a show or a moment, but sometimes it's
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: about an emotional feeling you get. Yeah, Alive with the
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: glory of love. If you listen to it again, it
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: says the opening verson when I watch you want to
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: do you right where you're standing, which is a great start,
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: but it says right in the foyer on the start
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: day point view of the whole ghetto, the boot stomped meadows,
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: and then the refrain is I won't let them take you.
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: Won't let them take you, Hella. So it's literally about.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Wow, I nelverad knew that a couple in love.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: In a concentration camp. But the feeling for ours it's
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: a great song, and the feeling for our show was
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: so right. We did it anyways and it was really interesting.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: So I always expected to get bumped back from that
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: from people going, oh my.
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: God, what are the lyrics? But I just thought the
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: song was amensing.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: You might you might, you know if you did it
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: today in the era of everyone opining on on everything.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: But back in the day, people you cut if you
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: cut the lyrics craftily knowing whatever we did.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: But my advice go, wasn't that song alive with the
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: glory of love? By saying anything, it's really good?
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: By say anything, say anything like the Genius movie. Hey, everybody.
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: That is season six. I want to thank our very
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: special guest, the creator of the universe of Scrubs, mister
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Bill Lawrence.
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: But before we go, Before we go, we have to
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: cut to one quick commercial. You guys, no.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Audience. I don't think the audience isn't going to like
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: the extra break joke that long.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Well, they're gonna have to do it in this episode.
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: By the way, Wait, Zach, Zach, are you done with
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: the extra break joke?
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: Yes, I'm very done with the extra break joke.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: I so wish i'd recorded.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: This is why I'm not done with it.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: So everybody, just to remind you, you will be a
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: little break and Joel, when does seven to one, which
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: we did at a drive in, is gonna hair when
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: Joel September thirteenth. September thirteenth, and then we are going
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: to be on break until October. I believe right, Jill,
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: that is correct.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: And I will say now, no matter what, in October,
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: I will debut my new character. Zach will not know
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: who it is. Dan Old Donald and I will talk
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: about it beforehand and we'll see if Zach can see
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: it coming, he will forget it.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Okay, Also, get your pitches ready, guys, get your pitches
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: ready for the next project.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: Go away. That might be after Scrubs is done. That
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: might be your next podcast, the making of Bill Donald
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: Zach Show.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, that's a great idea.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: We'll do it.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: That's the way we're really looking for. What when we're
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: dounbind Scrubs? But the show is going to be? How great?
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: It would be a podcast about the behind the scenes
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: making of the new Zach and Donald TV show with
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Bill Lawrence's I like that a lot.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: I'm in.
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: I mean, we should probably do spin City first, but I.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Like that too. I like it. Okay, let's go spin
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: City on. I like the idea of Spence City. There's
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: black people in spin City.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: By the way, the only the only really really white
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: show I did was Cougar Tun Was that really white?
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Uh uh? I?
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: But everybody else is called called a sack and roll Florida.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: On that note, we were going to end season six.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: Thank you, Joelle, thank you, Daniel. You guys are amazing.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: You do so much for the show, and we want
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: to thank you and Donald. I love you very much.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: No, you don't, I do No, you don't.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: I want to.
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: I want to thank the four of you. You're not
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: allowed to think great air of my podcast.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: Bill Usually the guests unpankable Bill.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: Bill, should we go to break? You think we should
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: go to break right now?
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: Bill, break, So let's go to a quick break, quick break.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: We're back.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: You guys were.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: Not put all those breaks.
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: They just all they had time for was to go
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: sparklets like that.

- 1:06:36Speaker 2: love you guys. Five s Stories. I'm not sure. We

- 1:06:55Speaker 1: here up. Four
