- 0:00Speaker 1: At your early body praise party. I am a Sherry
- 0:03Speaker 1: Mackie at it's time, right now for today's word, The
- 0:10Speaker 1: power of a grateful heart. The power of a grateful heart.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Philippians two fourteen says, do everything without complaining and arguing.
- 0:22Speaker 1: It doesn't take much for complaining to creep into our
- 0:24Speaker 1: daily lives, a delay and inconvenience, a frustrating conversation. Before
- 0:29Speaker 1: you know it, we're rehearsing everything that's wrong. I don't
- 0:33Speaker 1: like my job. I don't like my coworkers, I don't
- 0:36Speaker 1: like the boss. This is too stressful. They're getting on
- 0:39Speaker 1: my nerves. I'm tired of dealing with this. It can
- 0:41Speaker 1: feel harmless in the moment, but over time, complaining begins
- 0:46Speaker 1: to shape our outlook. Every time we complain, we're giving
- 0:51Speaker 1: away something valuable. We're draining our joy, we're weakening our peace,
- 0:55Speaker 1: and we're shifting our focus away from what God is
- 0:58Speaker 1: doing in our lives. Complaining doesn't make things better. It
- 1:02Speaker 1: makes us more aware of what's wrong and less aware
- 1:06Speaker 1: of what's right. What's even more eye opening is that
- 1:10Speaker 1: sometimes we complain about the very things we once prayed for.
- 1:14Speaker 1: We ask God for the job, but now we're complaining
- 1:17Speaker 1: about the pressure. We prayed for our home, but now
- 1:20Speaker 1: we focus on the upkeep. We believe for relationships and family,
- 1:25Speaker 1: but now we're frustrated by the responsibility that comes with them.
- 1:31Speaker 1: It's not that those challenges aren't real, but our perspective
- 1:35Speaker 1: determines our experience. The Apostle Paul encourages us to do
- 1:39Speaker 1: everything without complaining or arguing. That means in every situation
- 1:45Speaker 1: we have a choice. We can focus on the inconvenience,
- 1:48Speaker 1: or we can focus on the blessing. We can rehearse frustration,
- 1:51Speaker 1: or we can release gratitude. Gratitude is more than just
- 1:55Speaker 1: saying thank you. It's a mindset. It's choosing to recognize
- 1:59Speaker 1: God's goodness even when everything isn't perfect. It's saying this
- 2:03Speaker 1: may not be ideal, but I'm blessed. God is still
- 2:07Speaker 1: with me. He's still making a way. If you're grateful
- 2:10Speaker 1: where you are, God can take you where you want
- 2:12Speaker 1: to be. Come on, Jesus. When you shift from complaining
- 2:16Speaker 1: to gratitude, something powerful happens. Your joy begins to rise,
- 2:20Speaker 1: your peace becomes stronger, your outlook becomes brighter. You start
- 2:25Speaker 1: to see opportunities where you once saw obstacles, and even
- 2:29Speaker 1: in difficult circumstances, you can carry a quiet confidence that
- 2:33Speaker 1: God is working behind the scenes. You may be facing
- 2:36Speaker 1: challenges today, but you can still have a song of
- 2:39Speaker 1: praise in your heart. Why because you know God is
- 2:42Speaker 1: fighting your battles. You know He's ordering your steps. You
- 2:46Speaker 1: know it's not the end of your story. So you
- 2:49Speaker 1: need to make a decision today. No more complaining. Choose gratitude,
- 2:54Speaker 1: Choose joy. Choose to see the goodness of God in
- 2:57Speaker 1: every situation and season of your life. Father, God, thank
- 3:01Speaker 1: you for your goodness and it outweighs every negative thing
- 3:05Speaker 1: we face. Help us to guard our words and choose
- 3:07Speaker 1: gratitude over complaining. Teach us to see your hand in
- 3:11Speaker 1: every situation and to carry a heart full of praise God.
- 3:14Speaker 1: We declare that we will rejoice and be glad in
- 3:17Speaker 1: this day in Jesus' name. Hey, now that's your word
- 3:20Speaker 1: for today. I want you to take that apply to
- 3:23Speaker 1: your everyday life and you continue to be encouraged to
- 3:25Speaker 1: and inspired. It is your morning praise party. I am
- 3:29Speaker 1: Sherry Mackie
