Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Hey everyone welcome to social evolution podcast this is Patrick morning one of your hosts and the other houses sitting right next me Curtis Frazier.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_00]: Today, I think we're going to talk about, you know, some of the policies that have been put into play by Donald Trump, the current president of the United States, and really we're just going to kind of bitch about how horrible he is, I think.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: Did you?
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's about right.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: Did you want to talk about a specific policy at first or
- 0:35[SPEAKER_01]: The only two that I can think of off the top of my head would be the tariffs that are going to raise the price of everything that comes from Mexico.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not even sure what we get from Canada, but I'm sure it's something that made cars up there or whatever.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: And his like maple syrup doubled down on like trying to replace the dollar with literally any cryptocurrency.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: Now that I hadn't heard of, I didn't know that
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: That was a genuine thing he was trying to do.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he's promoting cryptocurrency, trying to make everybody get into it.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: But like I mean, if at this point, you haven't realized that it's a fucking Ponzi scheme where you're going to put your money in and you're going to lose it and that's going to be your grievance to pitch about.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: Well, pretty much all investments of any type are a game of hot potato.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like you put your money into something, whatever it is, it could be cryptocurrency, it could be pork belly stocks, it could be whatever, but you put your money into that.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: Frozen concentrated orange juice?
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it could be present concentrated orange juice, whatever.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: it could be anything but you put your money into that and basically you try to buy a buy it for cheap and sell it for more and so basically what you what you're trying to do is is
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: hold the potato for for two seconds before it gets too hot.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: AK loses all its value and and then pass it to someone else right at the time that it loses all its value.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, Ponzi scheme, hot potato, however, however you want to call it, but kind of how it all works in cryptocurrency is
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's no different, really.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I imagine he probably is just backing it because it's probably something like Elon Musk is interested in and he helped.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: Well Trump wants to make his own multiple cryptocurrencies and all that, you know, Melania coin and whatever the fuck else.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like basically what they've done is they come in
- 2:57[SPEAKER_01]: They shoot to the top and then they drop down and continue to drop.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: And that's how they work.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, I guess the whole idea is they get suckers to buy into it because they think this is going to be the new hot shit Bitcoin or whatever, which again, I don't understand why Bitcoin is valuable.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't do anything.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: If you lose your USB drive, it's fucking gone and you lost all your Bitcoin.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: Like I do not like it's not backed by an economy.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: and that's why it's not a currency and that's the difference between a Bitcoin and literally any currency in the world.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's backed by the economy of the country from which it comes, rather than the belief of the people who own it.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: Bitcoin has the belief that it's valuable.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: We could just assume say that sea shells
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: have high value and if everyone thought that the blue ones were worse more than the fucking gold ones or whatever the fuck they would be right everybody would need to have those seashells yeah yeah unlike like and unlike Bitcoin you could beat someone to death with the seashell if you really had to you could cut them with it yeah unlike unlike frozen concentrated orange juice or bitcoin or or pork bellies
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: Bitcoin doesn't actually have any use of value.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't at all.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, use value is something that Mark's talks talked about like items that that actually can be used to do something and Bitcoin doesn't have that.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: From what I understand, it is rare.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: They are rare.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't really understand the process of how you mind bitcoins.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: It was oversimplified to me about a decade and a half ago, and that you just pit two computers against each other to do math until they find it anomaly.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: All right, and then a Bitcoin poops out, right, and that's what a Bitcoin is, but but they are I'm from one area.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's in they are rare and it is they're made up if they weren't called Bitcoin and they were just called anomaly.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they would be considered a currency because they're not a currency
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: because they have no economy back even.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: They're no more currency than a shiny stone is.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's just another thing that for someone to invest money.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: Right, but it's like people buy shiny stones.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: So does that make them a currency?
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: No, like diamonds aren't a currency, but they have.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: I was even also saying diamonds, but yeah, diamonds.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: But they, they, they're not a currency, but they do have exchange value.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they have intrinsic value too, because you can, you know, use them to cut anything.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean they do have they do seem to have they could yeah, yeah, like
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I remember buying my dad like diamond-bladed sauce for say exactly for you know, whenever he wanted to cut metal or something, you know, so yeah.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah, or floor polish.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, are they using floor polishers diamonds?
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they're used on that kind of machine, you know, to like make a floor even.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I suppose anything that like diamond is the hardest substance that we know of, so any
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: Anything that, you know, would be useful in that scenario.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: So if someone were to argue that, well, it does have a purpose.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's, it's your currency.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's, it's used to exchange.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's the purpose dumbass.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like, okay, so you mean like money.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: So it's purpose is something that already like money already exists.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: And we exchange that for goods and services.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: So why do we need the Bitcoin to come in and also be exchanged for goods and services and convolut what our actual value of our money is?
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: Why do we need that?
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: Tell me, please.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'd love to know it.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: And the answer is to make some rich asshole, more rich, a bunch of poor dumbasses spend their money on it.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: You're probably lying.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: Like Bitcoin's not the only horrible idea that the Trump has, you know?
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's not just Bitcoin.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: He wants people to buy all the crypto currencies.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: Because Bitcoin isn't the only one.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: There's like, fuck knows.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: There's like everybody's got a coin.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's got a coin.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's got a coin.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's got a coin.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: I should make the Curtis coin.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: My mom had been tipped out on it as soon as I can because fuck you were investing.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they welcome to crypto, asshole.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that is how it works.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like you create the Curtis coin and you're like, yeah, the Curtis coin is going to be so valuable and you tell that to investors, they invest.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: You take their money and get the hell out.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're like, I'm catching out.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm cashin' out, you guys hit, you guys get all the Kurdish coin, I get all the money that you invested in it, and then they're like, oh shit, we need this to make go higher, so we can get out, get out before we get fucked.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: Right, yeah.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: And they said realization about Maloney coin.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Maloney coin, but you know, there are other bad ideas that Trump has.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how tariffs are a big thing that Trump has talked about, like a tariff on imports from Mexico, Canada, wherever else.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I assume the goal of that is to make foreign products more expensive in American products.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: cheaper for American customers to buy.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think that's the goal.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: I assume there are a ton of downsides.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not really an economist or no much about that kind of stuff, but
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: Well, like American products are already more expensive than foreign products because you have to pay an American employee to produce it.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, more Americans need to, from the most part, make at least enough to continue working.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why American products are more expensive.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I think they're trying to raise the price of foreign products
- 9:17[SPEAKER_01]: Above that of American products, so like you said, they get purchased.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: But I think the real problem with this is that you would have to pay us enough to buy these products now.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: The American products?
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: So like if everything, the price of everything skyrockets, then we're buying the expensive stuff that we couldn't afford before because we had a cheaper option.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_01]: For not making any more money, we're losing fucking money over this deal.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: That does make sense.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like if so if we if the price of Chinese goods raises, uh, rises excuse me, but, um, the price of American goods stay the same and we can't afford American goods right now on shitty wages.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: then that's a problem as well.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like it doesn't really seem to solve the problem that it's aimed at.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_01]: So also, I hear their land office shitload of government.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they are.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: That like with the department of government efficiency.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: So all these government employees don't have jobs anymore.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be on either one.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be unemployment.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: Two, they're going to be out there trying to get those domestic jobs that the rest of us are still trying to fill.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know where all of the new jobs are going to come from to employ all these government employees that don't have jobs anymore.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't say there's no, there's no mathematics that can get behind this and say anything.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: But oh, yeah, you guys are fucked.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't seem like a good strategy to simultaneously raise the price.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: Increase the price of foreign goods while laying people off, like while firing people.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like that, you know, that just means that more people find the cost of living out of reach.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like why is that?
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: Why is that good?
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_01]: So the cost of living is out of reach.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: Well, get a better job.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_01]: Work three jobs.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: Kill yourself.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm just glad.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I want the economy to take.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I want this to go.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: I want it to burn to the fucking ground.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: I want it to be so bad that somebody who's got, I love Trump tattooed on his chest says, gee, fucker, I think you made him a steak.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think this is the right thing to do.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I was wrong.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I've already read stories of people being pissed off that, you know, they voted for Trump.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: thinking that like DEI, diversity equity and inclusion and like stuff like that meant someone else, you know, and then like I read one one story of a, so if they wouldn't realize they were the poor people, one woman
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: was angry she said I voted for Trump and then my my daughter got fired from the Department of Forestry because you know Trump and Musk are laying our firing government employees under the banner of efficiency and sure to be a lot of fun to be still having your government job and finding out that you have to do it by yourself instead of with those other eight people and you know so there's moments like
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know, she wasn't a DEI hire, she worked for this job.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: And you got all kinds of stories like that.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like people being fired because they're women or because they're gay or because they're trans, even the or the or black, even though they like worked for and deserve their position.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: But because this, you know, Musk is a is a fascist.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: Musk and Trump are both fascists.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, one hundred percent like one hundred percent must did a Nazi salute in front of thousands of people live television on that.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, they're total fascists and they they want to blame immigrants and women and the other.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: And that's textbook fascism.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's textbook.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: You know, blame scapegoat some group for the country's problems and then promise that it can only get better with.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: If you're not regulated, can do anything that you want.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_01]: And then when you and your other rich buddies are done raping the rest of us, what are you going to do?
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: Just leave, blame it on somebody else.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: Or basically say, well, you're broke now.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: What are you going to do?
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: Fuck you.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: You've lost all your rights.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have the right to exist anymore.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's definitely dark times.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's a freedom injustice for all.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: Freedom injustice for us asshole.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's a no body.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_01]: You're replaceable.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's definitely definitely dark times.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_01]: World needs billionaires.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: Not everyone could just be a billion.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_01]: Dad has to have an emerald mind.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: an apartheid animal mine.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's an animal mine from an apartheid state.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they could just loan you an eighth of a million dollars to go ahead and start your company.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: I have to worry about paying interest on it.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: That also works.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I'm hoping that, you know, at least a dozen Trumpers, you know, have to say, well, gee, maybe I should have listened to those lived tards that were trying to tell me this would happen.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you're really sticking it to a lives.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to go broke, too.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: I assume stick it into them lives though.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: I assume there has to be Trump's approval rating is going down.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: So there's probably someone out there who regrets their vote.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm fine with this again.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, I'm going to buy two more older core bets and I'm going to have happily ever after.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: If he makes more bets, yeah, if he makes a great economy where everybody's making more money and things cost less and all that shit, like the price of toys is just going to keep going up and see if they're going to want their toys.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: But if he cuts off social security and makes it so that veterans don't get any pension after ten years, because they already paid you for ten years.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, ten years.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's enough.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's plenty.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: Go get a job.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: You know, then all the people that already have, you know, the C. Two Coops or the C ones, you know, they're going to have to sell them or sell their house or both.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, and then the price that's going to just keep going down because everybody who would want one of those cars,
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: Is it going to have the money to buy one?
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: Because they're busy trying to pay you know, twelve dollars for a dozen of eggs.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: I tried to look stay on the bright side.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to get the core of that.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to get a sixty-two.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: Just like I've always wanted me on the other hand.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: I was looking on the dark side.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a pessimist.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: You worry about the future of your kids like that matters.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: It matters to me.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't matter to a lot of people though.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: And there were rumors that Trump was gonna try to do stuff with the post office, which people if you have listened to some of these.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_00]: If you listen to this at all, you know, I'm on the letter carrier, I'm a mailman.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously none of this, none of what I say represents the post office in any way.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's just a disclaimer that can help protect my job, but if this were to ever go.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for your service.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're welcome.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, Trump was trying to, I mean, Trump said he was going to like move it to the Department of Commerce and put it under the control of this, the treasury, something like that.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, that is illegal, like that, that's not something you can do because
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: the Postal reorganization act of nineteen seventy made the post office its own i own agency within the government and you can't unilaterally no president can unilaterally move it to a different agency within the government uh... that would be breaking the law but nonetheless he said he was going to do it sounded like looks like he's backed off uh... but i wanted i wanted to
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: Since we're talking about Trump's shitty policies, I was listening to an interview with, I think that the head, a YouTube interview with the head of the Commerce Department of Commerce, which was what Trump was proposing the post office be moved to, moved under.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: And the guy was like,
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_00]: So Trump said Trump has to be, you know, what are we going to do about the post office?
- 18:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's losing money, right?
- 18:28[SPEAKER_00]: Which it does like it lose money.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_00]: there are there are definitely things that I think you know should be should can and should be done to to make it so that the post office doesn't lose money because it is it is a valuable service so we should try to make it so that it it doesn't like it's in the constitution right right right it's a valuable service and and we should we should make sure it doesn't lose money
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, this guy was like, well, the census.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: So this guy's like, the census has done every ten years and it costs forty billion dollars to do.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_00]: So that's four billion a year.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: So we can, we can say four billion a year.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: If we make letter carriers who already go to everybody's house, do the census.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: And I was just like, this guy has no, I think, Lou, what?
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: What letter carriers do?
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: He has no idea, like, there is no way that that would save for a billion dollars.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_00]: Because letter carriers are told to go as pretty much, we're pretty much encouraged to go as fast as possible regardless of how safe it is.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you go to a met, you go to each house, you put the mail in, you go to the next house.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's what you do.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_00]: A census requires you to knock on the door, go in the house, ask people questions about where they live.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like it would take, it could take fifteen minutes of house, you know, you know, set a thirty seconds.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, instead of what, yeah, yeah, like it, it, like this guy,
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and this guy in this interview, this, this head of the Department of Commerce is like, you know, we're allowed to be intelligent people.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: We're allowed to save money by having smart ideas.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_00]: And that's just like you, you are a dumb piece of garbage.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: You're allowed to be completely attached.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_00]: You have to make a certain statement.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: You're supposed to be taken as the word.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, I got a million, I got a four billion dollar a year idea.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: Let's have
- 20:40[SPEAKER_00]: letter carriers who already do one job do another job you know in let's also have to do this other job so that it can take him a billion years and you know we have to pay him overtime you know blah blah blah oh wait that doesn't say four billion year oh my god so I got this billion dollar right yeah so does everybody else smoking crack I thought you just shut up seriously it was so done
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like, oh my god, this guy.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: But that's the kind of detachment from reality.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the kind of that we're fucking doing.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_00]: Detached idiots who who have no idea who really don't have any good ideas about how to and how to how to make the country run more efficiently.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they have theories.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_00]: They don't know what they're talking about and and largely yeah, they like it is it's all like theoretical it's like, you know, and largely I wonder if this is kind of what kind of the point like I wonder.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: You know, on the one hand, you're, you're, you're kind of seeing, you're kind between Samuel Trumpson Moron who doesn't have good ideas about how to run businesses because, you know, they all go bankrupt.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: They all go bankrupt and he has to cheat, lie, cheat and steal to make money.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that's what he always had.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: He has to trick people.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_00]: He has to trick people.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: The only president we've ever had is sales merch.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_00]: And your Trump merchandise of the world.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'll fucking know you.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_00]: And the only convicted felon.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not, I'm not even worried about that as much as like, you know, because they, they dismiss his family.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: They just dismiss them.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you can't dismiss the fact that he's selling you bullshit in China.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: You can, but like, it's right here.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have enough money for groceries.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: You got enough money to buy another Trump T shirt, a couple bumper stickers that I want to fly.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: So on the one hand, you want to say to yourself, well, Trump's a major moron who doesn't know how to run a business or and definitely not a country.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: And on the other, you're like, is he like, is he purposely like, you know, putting people in positions of power who are idiots so that the government won't run well, which is what he wants?
- 23:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like, is this a purposeful thing?
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: Or are they just all really like he's an idiot and he's
- 23:11[SPEAKER_00]: He is stupidly putting people into positions of power, who he thinks will do a good job, but who are awful.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I will not do a good job.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the thing is that when you're a moron, it's really easy for another moron to come up and convince you that they're actually a genius too.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_00]: Like Musk.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_00]: Musk is like Musk is legitimately, I'm not saying he's stupid, but he's not a genius.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_00]: He's definitely not a genius.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he makes always money on government subsidies that has to make him something.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: He found a way to con America into making him a business.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I guess he did.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: So if that's not a genius, I don't know what is.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: But Musk likes to portray himself as like a tech genius.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: but he's just an venture capitalist who had a couple who had a good investment in PayPal and then, you know, a couple other companies that were good investments.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: That doesn't make him a genius, it makes him lucky.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: And whenever people who have worked for him, a lot of people have said, you know, that he's kind of a crybaby and like an emotional toddler and doesn't really know
- 24:25[SPEAKER_00]: how to run anything he just like is in charge because he has it on the money and he tells people to do shit and the people on the ground take his garbage ideas and revise them enough so that they're not disastrous you know is basically what people do with his garbage ideas
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: Case in point, there were, there were some divers trapped in a cave in Thailand or something like this.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_00]: This happened a few years ago.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: And everybody's trying to figure out, how do we get them out before they dive exposure or their oxygen runs out or they drown or whatever?
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: And Musk was like, well, we'll build this
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: You know, complicated diving mechanism made with AI technology or whatever.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: And that's how we'll get them out.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: And so he has people like, you know, send the people on the ground, the schematics or whatever or the ideas.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: And the people on the ground look at it and they're like, this is not feasible.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like, this is no better than any idea we've
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: We have right now.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: The only reason it got to them is because he has a lot of money and is in the news.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's not a smart dude.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: right no he gives his concepts to a group of actual smart people right and then they have to turn it into something for him right and then he claims exactly actually reminds me a lot of my of a former boss I had when I was a technical writer who like his writing skills were extremely poor like he I if I had been a teaching him at a college I would have been like
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you need to be in a catch-up class where you learn how to write a paragraph and then and then put paragraphs together and do a paper like that's what you you need to be in like
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: And, like, instead of a one-o-one English class, like an O-N-O, or an O-eight-nine, you know, like below the Ray with, like, you don't know how to even put it paragraph together, dude.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: And he would just send me this random garbage, like that he had written, like, paragraphs that didn't make any sense, seem complete senses, run-ons, and stuff, and just be like, yeah, these are our ideas, these are great.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: Now,
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: You write that up.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, basically the very gist of what he was trying to say was obscured by his inability to communicate.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_00]: And you just kind of had to make it up.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like you just, you just like looked at him and you took some of the phrases and you're just like, well, I think this makes sense.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_00]: And you would write you on the paper and publish it under his name.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what my job partly was.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_00]: And that's very similar.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's what must.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what must.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't think that's what must does, then you, like, have no concept of reality.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: I guarantee you never looked him up.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I guarantee you that is exactly what he does to his employees.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the fantasy of Musk exists in these people's heads, because you know, I had a table the other day that asked, well, how do you feel what Elon Musk knows?
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, well, I think he's
- 27:52[SPEAKER_01]: You know, heir to an emerald mine who makes all his money out of government subsidies.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: And if I was the richest man in the world, there would be no hungry, there would be no homeless.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: And that doesn't seem to be a priority at the end.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: So kind of makes him a piece of shit in my eyes.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_01]: And they like, oh, well, I like him.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure you do.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure you do like him.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure you think he's great.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure you think this guy who, like, has two hundred or four hundred trillion, not trillion billion.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what, like, every time I look, it goes up.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's like, you hate the Democrats because they're the elitist wealthy.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: Right, right.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_01]: So when the richest guy in the world is on the other side, he's your fucking favorite person.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like, in elitia, he validates you liking them.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't, a coastal elite is everybody but Musk.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: you know like even though Elon lives on the coast and isn't a lead like it's it's not but it's not him right now he's the hero he's the hero of the working man that's why he's given them nothing yeah
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: Elon Musk is garbage, and if you like him, you should re-evaluate your life.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_00]: Or, you know, far, right.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_01]: Re-evaluate him.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: But, uh, yeah, this would be a lot easier if the opposing side, which is do as a favor and blow their fucking brains out.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that would make it easier.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, man.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_00]: All over die.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: They've all over die.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_00]: That's our episode.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully you've enjoyed our ranting about, um,
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: Trump's idiotic policies, tariffs, Bitcoin stuff, and the Department of Government efficiency, things like that.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_00]: Peace out until next time.
