- 0:03[SPEAKER_03]: I'm Mike Atama Stella.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_01]: And this is Culture Brief.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_01]: A innocent foreign podcast where we navigate the constant stream of top stories and news, politics, sports, pop culture, and technology, and we are doing it all from a Christian perspective.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_01]: And today we have a very special guest, our first guest ever, actually here on Culture Brief.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: We've had some other people join us.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_01]: You've heard them from our ministry but today we're bringing an outside person that man Mike and I just we love talking to this guy.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: We love getting to see what he's up to.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_01]: His name is Landon Wolfe and you have very likely heard his voice before either on the radio if you're still listening to radio or on Spotify anywhere you listen to music.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: Landon's voice is
- 0:42[SPEAKER_01]: There, because he sings at the passion conference, he sings with passion city church.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: Most importantly, maybe most notably, the song, The Lord will provide, land in as the lead singer on that.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: And so, man, we're so excited to have land in here, joining us.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: He is in alumni of Dallas, Baptist University, just like Mike and I, we were all three in the same fraternity together.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's how we know each other.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's how we're able to reach out to land and say, hey, man, you're doing really cool things.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: You're on large stages.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: You're in front of a lot of people with specifically young adults in this generation
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: really grasping on to the Lord and there's a movement that seems to be happening in like America maybe around the world and so we were like who better talk to about this cultural movement and what's going on in culture and how to impact culture with where the Lord has placed you then landed man landed welcome to the show let's go thank you I'm so pumped to be here I'm so pumped to catch up with you guys and hear about what's going on in your world as well
- 1:35[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks, landed man.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_03]: We're really glad that you're here.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_03]: If you guys don't know the song, Connor, do you want to sing it for us?
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's a no for me.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_03]: I can't do it.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: Everything I need, everything I need, think my father has it.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_02]: And it's the seek first, the kingdom.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_03]: And it's treasures.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_03]: It's scripture.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_03]: But they pay me to speak, not to sing.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_03]: But listen, it's a really good song.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_03]: I still listen to the radio.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_03]: And every time I'm in the car, doesn't matter who's in the car with me.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_03]: No, I, you know,
- 2:11[SPEAKER_03]: I think I said this earlier doesn't matter who I have in the car would be like I have a bunch of random people in the car, you know, Hobos like whatever it might be I'm just picking them up and I'm like, hey, this song comes on in no matter who's in the car with me if it plays and it's the Lord will provide passion.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_03]: featuring Land of Wolf.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, hey, I know this guy.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_03]: We went to college together.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_03]: We're in the same fraternity.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_03]: So it's a joy to have you with us, man.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_03]: You're making such an incredible effort.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you so much.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: That means the world to me seriously.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: And I also just want to encourage you guys real quick.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: I love this podcast.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: I literally a few weeks ago, it's hard to look around at our world right now and not feel like things are a little shaky.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like things are a little wobbly.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: And like things are a little out of control.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: But I was like, I wonder what's going on in the world, but I don't,
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: want to turn on the news and be stressed or anxious and we know that God is not given us a spirit of fear but I was like let me turn on the culture brief and I had just found like you guys talk about what's going on but you give people the truth in the thing that's constant and there's just a level of peace that comes when we remind ourselves that yes the world around us maybe shaky but we know the one thing that's constant we know that God who's not shake a boom
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: And reminding people of that.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: So I love what you guys are doing and I'm just honored to be a part of it today.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for your man, glad you're here, glad you're here.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate that.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: And, Laneon, I did want to say real fast, your official title at Passion City Church is... Worship Coordinator.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: And that leads to a lot of different things, because you're leading worship.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_01]: Basically all the time, 247, at the big passion conference every year, filled with how many thousands of young adults, I mean, football NFL stadiums,
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it's crazy.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: My role specifically at church, the way our team works is it's really interesting when you join the worship team at Passion City, you lead everywhere.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: So you lead in Passion Kids, Passion Students, Passion Young adults, Bloom, which is our preschoolers, Auditorium, which is like our main gatherings.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: I help schedule and plan songs and meet with our team for our passion kids, our young adults, our choir, and then help with songwriting stuff on our team.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: And then yeah, on top of all of that leading worship, outside of church, inside of church on Sundays, these different events, you know.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: And so yeah, man, I love it.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: I love it so much.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_03]: So for clarity's sake here, you get to work with Christian Stanfield, right?
- 4:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_03]: He's a lead at this one of the best.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_03]: He is, I mean, guys, just look up Christian Stanfield with a K, not with a C, I don't know why, but you know, anyway, I guess you just have to ask him.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_03]: Look it up with a K, that guy has sung and has written songs that have changed the church in the last 15 years.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_03]: Like Dunham, just all of the absolute worship bangers he's put out is unbelievable.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_03]: And it's cool that you get to work with him.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's a dream.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's got to learn so much from him.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, man, amazing.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's the best.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_03]: So it's been cool to see you be faithful and obedient to the Lord with this platform that puts you on stages in front of hundreds of thousands of people each year.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_03]: So the video of you leading the Lord will provide at passion 2024 has 2.8 million views on YouTube.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_03]: We'll link that in the show notes so that you guys can see it.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_03]: But more than that, your music plays in the years of millions helping stir their heart and devotion to the Lord.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_03]: So just to start out here with our first question, can you just talk to us about what passion conferences and how your church has been such a big part of that, you know, passion church, passion conference?
- 5:37[SPEAKER_03]: And really how it's sought to reach young people for so long?
- 5:41[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, can you just tell us about the passion conference for those who might not know about it?
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: What passion conference is just right off the bat.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's a conference for 18 to 25 year olds.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: Passion conference has gone on for so many more years more years than I've even been alive.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: It started in 1998.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: I was born in 99.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: So just missed it.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: Just missed it.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: But it's been going on might have been 97 actually, but many years under the leadership of Pastor Louie Giglio and his wife Shelley and they just had this this vision from the Lord to see young people Come to know Jesus and see the ripple effects throughout our country throughout our cities throughout
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: the the world.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: And so they created a space.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: The main scripture that's kind of out for the banner of her passion is Isaiah 268.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yes Lord, walking in the way of your truth, we wait for you for your name and your renown as the desire of our souls.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what passion comforts is.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: it's a place for young people to come and experience Jesus for us to create a space to make much of Jesus to make much of His name so that the whole world would know that there's nothing greater than this.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: So I love getting to be a part of it.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: I attended passion as a college student.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: I attended my first passion in 2018 and I have been every year since.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: It changed my life, it impacted my life in some incredible ways.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: And so now to be on this side of it, I mean, that is, is such a gift from God.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't take it lightly, I don't take it for granted, but man, I love what is happening in young people and I want them to know that there is a God who loves him who sees him and this is worth giving your life to.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_03]: So just for clarity, the conference happens every year and the average attendance is what and it goes on for how many days.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: So it fluctuates a little bit, but typically like three days and then honestly, it kind of depends on venue, like I think the first one I let at was in 2022, which was in Mercedes Benz and I want to say it was like 60,000 and then we were at State Farm last year, which holds like
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: I want to say 20,000, and so we did two conferences there, so that was like six days, two separate conferences, same venue, and then I mean, in past years, they've done Atlanta Dallas, Washington, DC all at the same time, this coming year, and we can get to this in a little bit, but we'll be back actually in Arlington, Texas, a little life, and alive.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm alive.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, go Rangers and I think lowlife holds probably like 40,000 plus and so it's it's crazy They're reached that passion conference is having you know that's so cool It's just to clarify the Mercedes bins when you said that very casually that that is where the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL So that is as a massive NFL stadium right you're talking about it and have the conference in the car or anything
- 8:30[SPEAKER_01]: land and you kind of mentioned it that this group of younger people and something that we really like to think about here on culture brief we've talked about several times is there does seem to be this spiritual movement happening amongst the younger cohort of our generation whether it's millennials or really particularly jenzy something's happening I mean there's something in the water and I think it's the Holy Spirit right yes yes yes yes
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think everybody can kind of see there is a group of young people who they are on fire for the Lord.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: They want to understand what it is that Christians have.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: They want to understand what this Bible is, what the God that all these Christians talk about is, who's Jesus, what's the gospel, all of this?
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: have you kind of in the last year or so seen some of that within your place at this church at Passion Conference anywhere, just I know you're among many people in that generation a lot and you're helping lead worship for them.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: Are you seeing that?
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, so much and it is wild.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it is, there's a hunger, it's a real, just like, hunger for truth.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think Gen Z, like,
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: they don't want to be baby anymore.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: They want clarity.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: They want to know the truth.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: They want to know like, hey, what's going on?
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: Why is the world look like this?
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: What's happening?
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: We want the truth.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I think praise God that they're realizing that there is only one thing that can satisfy their souls and its Jesus.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, I've seen this physically in so many ways.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, passion conferences, a perfect example of that.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: I've had the opportunity to do
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: middle schoolers.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: I mean face down like in the presence of God of like this is the place.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm want to be I've seen in our own church our young adults ministry that I get to help steer it was crazy this summer We have a thing called summer in the city
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: And the last three, it was like, this one was like, this is the most young adult we've ever had at one.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: And then the next one was even more than that.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: This was the most we've ever had at one.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: And then the next one, the last one was like, this is the most we've ever had.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: It was just like this very, and I know it's not about the numbers.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to always get into the numbers.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: But that is such a physical representation of people want to be in the presence of God.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's so,
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: So awesome.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: I mean that that is like why we worship that is why we create a space because we know that God is so worthy of our praise and so what a gift just a creator space for people to give it to him
- 10:50[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I mean, and it's exciting to be a part of something that has momentum, something that's alive and growing.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, and I can't think of anything better than being a part of God's kingdom and advancing it.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_03]: And so you just have such a unique place in that.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_03]: And I love it.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_03]: That's what you're saying.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we've just gone over so many specific numbers about Gen Z and their openness to Jesus right now.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_03]: There's numbers coming out right now, Barna that that millennials in Gen Z, their church attendance is actually more today.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_03]: then it is Gen X, baby boomers, the younger generations are attending church more frequently right now, not later in life right now.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's it's unbelievable how we're seeing things get flipped on their head.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I can't think of anything better than young people being passionate about Jesus and building their lives on that.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_03]: Now, Brandon, tell us the song that I so eloquently saying earlier, so obviously has a lot of scripture in it, but it's called the Lord will provide.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_03]: Can you just tell us the story of that song, how that came to be, how many renditions there are of it now, seems like there's so many, because it's such a great song.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_03]: Man, can you just tell us about how that song came to be?
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so it has three very incredible writers on it, Brett Yonker, who's a part of Passion, and then Chris Davenport and Just Cates, they got together one day and they wrote this song.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: Brett will tell the story that on his way there, he was like, he had this idea if you really wanted to write a song called Flowers, and then remembered that Miley Cyrus already has a
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: But he just he loved the idea that Matthew six idea that if if God dressed as the Lily's with Beauty and Splinter how much more will he provide for us and how much more will he care for us and so They wrote this song and It started leading it kind of at church and our team like got to hear it
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: And they asked me they were like, hey, would you have any interest in leading the song like let's try it at passion and I was like absolutely I love the song and I mean honestly for me, I like Though I didn't ride it, I feel it so deeply I think
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: yeah i was actually talking to someone about this yesterday like honestly like one of the things that i've struggled with just throughout a lot of my life is worry in anxiety and just the fear of the future and man what a crazy god thing that now i'm carrying a song about not being afraid of the future and and and so i'm just like i'm so grateful for that and so we have about i want to say i should have checked before but i think there's seven versions now
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have the original live from conference?
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm listening to all of them.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: Do you love all of them?
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: I love all of them.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we have the live from conference.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: We have one featuring our friend Anna Golden, featuring our friend Jamie McDonnell.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: We have a worships together, right?
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: Or should love that version.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, our gospel version.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's a deep cut.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: Land and that one.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: Dude.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know all the versions.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_03]: That was a deal.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I'm probably missing one, but so here's some powerful lyrics right from the song.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_03]: So why would I wear it all when you're faithful to supply everything I need my father has it every single time the Lord will provide he gives us blessings upon blessings and I'm still believing I know the Lord will provide the bridge to seek first the kingdom and its treasures and everything else it will be added.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_03]: All that I'm needing the Lord will provide.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_03]: I think that why it's so powerful.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_03]: That's just scripture, yeah, brother.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_03]: That's just the words of Jesus, you know?
- 14:11[SPEAKER_03]: And so I think that it's beautiful to see this worship song get so much traction too, because it's less about God.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_03]: Here's exactly how I'm feeling and I'm going through this tough time, you know, just kind of that classic Christian song or worship song, right?
- 14:24[SPEAKER_03]: It's, yeah, here's how I'm feeling, but here's what scripture has to say about it, about it into song form.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_03]: And so it's, man, it's just beautiful.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_03]: And what ways have you seen it specifically resonate
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think just to even piggyback off that, not only is it's scripture, it's Jesus himself was speaking, it's the sermon on the Mount.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: He looks out of the people and he says, don't be anxious about tomorrow, it's tomorrow will be anxious about itself.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: Each day has enough troubles of its own.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's a call to response, but seek first the kingdom of its righteousness and all these other things will be added to it as well.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: That the things he's talking about is the spares of the air, the flowers of the field.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: If he cares for them, how much more significant are his children?
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I think people are realizing that that there is a God who sees them, who cares for them, and it feels like maybe everything isn't going how they thought it would.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think that's the main thing I want people to take away is that the Lord will provide does not necessarily mean that he's going to give you
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: all the money in the world.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's not exactly that he's going to like provide all these physical things.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's a reminder that he himself is what we need, that he does everything that we need.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: And so I remember having a conversation with a guy who him and his wife had recently, but they were expecting a baby ended up losing the baby and it was so heartbreaking.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: But the thing that he said it was his realization was not that the Lord would provide this child as heartbreaking as it was, but the Lord provided peace and comfort in there.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: really desperate time for him and and I just wrecked me but it was such a good reminder that that he himself is the very thing we need.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly my favorite line in the song as of lately is that if I have you I have enough and and so just I just love that and there's so many like little pieces of like I love in the I'm still believing it's like that word still it's like that's such a key word because it's like
- 16:09[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, things might not look like how I want but I'm still going to believe because I've seen God come through.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: I know who he is.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: I know that he sees me.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: I know that he cares for me.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm still believing.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_00]: I know the Lord will provide.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: He has provided everything I have needed.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, you're going to make me tear up.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think this is, this is, you know, you're going to make me tear up seriously with the finish of this podcast.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_03]: All right, Connor, what else?
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: Man, sorry, that's just, that's just really good stuff.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's all,
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's all made even more powerful when you take these talented musicians and like you guys are using your talent to take in those lyrics and just producing this beautiful song.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think, you know, this younger generation, they like that style of worship.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: They want real and genuine and they want scripture and then, you know, when it sounds good too.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_01]: That helps boost it even more.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_01]: Lane and you specifically.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_01]: Your voice is amazing.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: You're very talented.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember what all instruments you play.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: I believe you play piano.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, piano.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so when did you realize you kind of had a gift from music.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: When did that love from music come about and when did you realize, okay, this is maybe a God given talent and I should use it and some way that is up to him and not fully up to me.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I grew up in a really musical family.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: So my dad has been a music teacher for over 30 years now.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: My mom sings, my brother sings, plays guitar.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: And so we just had instruments all over our house.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: And so I don't remember when I first started singing.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: It just like, I just,
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: that I was born into it.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: I just grew up around it.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: My parents bought me my first drum set when I was three and I played drums probably saw I was about eight and then I discovered the piano and so I started playing the piano and I fell in love with that.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: just playing and singing and figuring all that out and then in high school when I was probably 16 or 17 is when I started leading at church and I was like well most worship leaders play acoustic guitar when they lead so I guess I should learn that as well so then I got an acoustic and I started trying to figure that out and that's kind of when I started like I just I fell in love like I became a Christian at a young age and so I grew up loving Jesus and I've always loved people and I've loved music and I was like I can combine all of these things and like
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: do this for a drive and I was like, okay, yeah, I want to do that.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_00]: And so yeah, I was like 17 when I started leading in my church youth group in Dallas and I did that for many years and then I went to D.B.U.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: and actually got a degree in Christian studies with an emphasis in music ministry, like studied worship, and let it D.B.U.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: and started leading it D now is continued leading it my church and just start to apple leading you to apple.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, apple team do.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_03]: our pithetal vision nights, you know what I mean, our rush events.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, guys.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_03]: We had rush events with worship.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_03]: I know that sounds counterintuitive, but it was beautiful, especially when Landon did it.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: to thank you very much.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's gotten to the story.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: I just, I, I fell in love with it.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I haven't stopped.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_00]: I love it so much.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I just, man, at the end of the day, I just care so much about people understanding what it means to worship.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, like, I don't want to just get up and try to make you sing.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: I want to serialize like one of my favorite things to remind people is that worship doesn't start with us, worship's never stopped.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_00]: We know that
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: day and night at Reservalation tells us that the angels never cease to sing Holy Holy Holy Holies, the Lord God Almighty who was in His didn'tnis to come.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: So when we step into worship, when we sing those words, we're just stepping into the song that Heaven's singing in and what a joy that is to get to worship God for all the He deserves.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I think.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_03]: But when I'm hearing you speak, I think the better term for you, and I know your title is worship coordinator, and a lot of that has to do with the fact of all of the different worship elements you oversee at your church and the events that you do, but really you're a worship pastor because ultimately you're heart.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_03]: and you being intentionally rooted in scripture and everything that you do, just like a sermon is delivered and that's helping people grow and knowledge and truth and really ushering them into God's presence.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_03]: You're doing the same thing in worship and you're just as rooted in scripture as the pastor is whenever he comes up to preach and so in my opinion you are a worship pastor, which I know that you already are, but it's like
- 20:25[SPEAKER_03]: I hope that that's how it's treated across the board.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_03]: And there's no perfect places in spaces, but that's exactly how it should be.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_03]: And I love the way that you approach it.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_03]: So, Landon, what advice would you give to our younger listeners who are trying to discern what the Lord is calling them to do in their lives?
- 20:46[SPEAKER_03]: Right?
- 20:46[SPEAKER_03]: Like it, it seemed like it kind of clicked for you and it came together, but of course you had seasons and periods of doubt.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_03]: But you know, what advice would you give to our younger listeners who are trying to discern what's next for them and what the Lord has for them?
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think that's such a great question.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I think I would just say, I think there's a few things I want to say.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, I think there's not necessarily a clear answer all the time, and that's okay.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think so often, I'm sure we've all said the prayer if God, if you could just
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: tell me like just just tell me exactly what you want me to do that would be great like and that doesn't always happen right and and that's okay and that that's where faith comes from and trusting him I I love the scripture and I know we've probably all heard it but Provers through trusting the Lord with all your heart and lean on on your own understanding but in all of your ways acknowledge him and help make your past straight.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: I love the wording knowledge there it's kind of like if we were like having a conversation and you guys just were like doing the podcast and I was just like sitting over here and like
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: no one like said anything like oh latency but we're going to just keep doing our own thing like I would just kind of sit here and you know it's like but when you acknowledge that I'm here when you acknowledge like oh like we're having a conversation that three of us then I become kind of a part of the conversation and I think in the same way that God that's kind of what he's asking us to do there acknowledge him bring him into the conversation bring him into your questions bring him into your doubts to your worries about stepping into this next season or
- 22:11[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's a job, maybe it's a big move, whatever it is, I would just encourage any young listeners acknowledge him.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: And though the answer might not always be black and white, you know, that's where faith comes in and we can just learn to trust him.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: And at the end of the day, remembering that you're not big enough for powerful enough to mess up God's plan for your life and just to rest in that and know that he's good and know that he's sovereign and he has good
- 22:36[SPEAKER_03]: I think about Proverbs 169, man plans his steps with the Lord of Stablishes them?
- 22:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_03]: So it's this coupling of, I'm going to get up and give my absolute best effort, but I'm going to partner with God, and I'm going to acknowledge him in everything that I do, and I'm going to take it one day at a time, right?
- 22:53[SPEAKER_03]: If the entire staircase, as you're walking up, relating to life, is illuminated.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_03]: why do we need faith?
- 23:00[SPEAKER_03]: Why do we need God?
- 23:02[SPEAKER_03]: It's one step after another, one day after another, putting him as the king of your heart, the throne of your heart, day in and day out, and partnering that with Max Effort.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_03]: And then before you know it, you look back and you're like my goodness gracious.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_03]: God, you've been so faithful and yet I doubted you over and over and over again.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_03]: And then even as I'm saying that, I had worries this morning about what my future held,
- 23:29[SPEAKER_03]: But then, I take a step back and I say, yeah, I've kind of had those doubts all along and yet God was still faithful.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_03]: He was faithful enough to where we're sitting right here, having this conversation, doing ministry, doing the Lord's work, you know?
- 23:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that question of...
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you talked to God.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: You're saying, God, please just make it clear, tell me what to do next.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: How many times have I been there done that, just waiting for the super clear answer.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_01]: But God, he always says a unique way of just carving your path and making it known what you need to do, right?
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, it might be an interesting journey to get where you are.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_01]: But, man, if you're out there and you're wondering like, what's next in my life, what's next in my career, why not just give it up to the Lord and acknowledge him like you're saying later.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's such a good call word in the scripture.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_01]: Big word.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_01]: The knowledge is something that can easily get overlooked, but your example was perfect.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_01]: Laded God has placed you in a very unique position to impact culture, to impact younger generations, but everybody's gonna be able to do that in some way wherever the Lord is taking them.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're coming out of college and you're trying to find a job and it's gonna be in a corporate office somewhere,
- 24:33[SPEAKER_01]: The Lord can use you in such unique ways.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to be leading worship or have a mass of audience or anything to be used in culture.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: What would you encourage people with, in order for them to be faithful in impact and culture where the Lord has them right now?
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: remembering what we have, you know, I think that's something that's always just moved my heart and I think what you guys do so well is like wherever you're at, you know, remembering that ultimately you hold the truth, you know, all of the stories scripture where I want to say it's Simon Peter who says I could be wrong here, so don't quote me but we're starting to Jesus and he says we're also really good when you have the key to eternity, you know, and I'm like,
- 25:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think in the same way, it's like we've realized that and we know that there are people around us who are lost, who are dead, and we have the key to eternity with Christ.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's so important, I've spent, like, I know so many of us would have been in situations where we chose our own comfort and fear of man and instead of
- 25:41[SPEAKER_00]: realizing that someone else's eternity is at stake in and I think if we we could have that mindset shift and realize that our comfort is not more important than someone else's eternity, I think we would see a lot more people come to Jesus.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's my hope.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's my prayer for myself.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's like man, I can think of moments in my life where it's like, man, I wish I didn't choose to be silent right there.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_00]: Man, I wish I would have said this.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't want to
- 26:07[SPEAKER_00]: get caught up on what what I could have done differently, but instead just remembering that if I believe that that heaven and hell are real places, and I want people to to know Jesus, I want people to to spend eternity with Him, and I want our lives here to count.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's literally what we're called to do above.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_00]: all else, go their form, make disciples of all nations, and so I just would encourage people to remember that and to remind themselves of that and really just take a look inside of like, hey, if I really believe this, I want other people to know this and I care about my co-workers, I care about the people around me.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: Even the people you don't know, I mean, even if there's a situation where it's like, maybe you don't have the best relationship with someone.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_00]: I would hope that the thing that we hold onto the truth that we hold onto would be worth telling them about, you know, what a call, a beautiful
- 26:54[SPEAKER_03]: What did you say that, you know, seeking comfort would not hold us back from, you know, impacting someone else's eternity.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_03]: I probably just butcher that right, but that's that's beautiful.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that that's what we do.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_03]: And this is what we do frequently.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_03]: This concept of whatever that fear might be.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_03]: I think for me, I'm busy.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_03]: I'm in a rush.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_03]: One thing after the next.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm almost, I can sometimes struggle.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_03]: And I want God to give me eyes to see those who are struggling, eyes to see the broken hearted.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_03]: But if I'm not giving time for that, if I'm not giving space for that, you know, it's an intentional partnering with God.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's really good call out.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_03]: Well, this is my last question, landed.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_03]: This is just kind of coming to me.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_03]: You know, we're a few years apart, Connor and I are on the tail end of the millennial.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_03]: age and you're kind of at the beginning of the Gen Z age.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, doing this type of ministry amongst Gen Z, doing these conferences with the 18 to 25 year olds, what is the prevailing dominant worry fear struggle right now for Gen Z young people in this generation that you're seeing and then obviously how can Jesus be the answer to that?
- 28:03[SPEAKER_03]: But just practically, what are you seeing?
- 28:05[SPEAKER_03]: What are people, you know, what are young people struggling with right now?
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's it's pretty crazy.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'm I don't know the exact statistics, but Ben Stewart recently did a talk on anxiety and depression and how the introduction of the cell phone and social media set those things to a higher level than they've ever been before.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: People are more depressed than they've ever been.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_00]: People are anxious than they've ever been.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: People are comparing themselves to others.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_00]: Suicide is a higher level than it's ever been.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's heartbreaking, man.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think it's just like
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: We have access to so much that we don't need these phones.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they just, the social media just is a comparison trap.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_00]: It is a, it is an anxiety trap.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's worried.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's fear.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's this like fear, the future of like I need to make my life count for something.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_00]: And instead of seeking God and asking Him, what would you like my life to look like?
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: And I just see that so much.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_00]: I see people who are just crippled by all these things.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: And at the end of the day, it's like, how can we show them and remind them that you're not defined by what people say about you online?
- 29:11[SPEAKER_00]: You're not defined by
- 29:12[SPEAKER_00]: the amount of likes or followers that you have, that you're not defined by the people at school, but but instead that you were loved, that you were chosen, that you were called, that you're equipped by the same God who created the heavens and the earth like that.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_00]: That always blows my mind is that like you look around, you see the world, you see us, you see humanity that there's a creator and the same creator, the king who sits on his throne, who's holy, holy, holy and
- 29:41[SPEAKER_00]: and he's also near to us and close to us and and man I just want people to see that I want people to find their identity and that and I I'm not saying I'm perfect at it.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_00]: I mean we all we all compare we all wrestle we all struggle and we all we do care what people think about us but man when we can take a step back and realize that the God of all creation
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: loves us and like calls us as children as chosen us and changes everything that changes everything and so that's my hope man and i i think it is scary i mean the world is not going to stop moving it's not going to stop growing it's not going to stop progressing so i just pray that within that that people would see that there is one thing that has never changed and it's a god who loves you
- 30:27[SPEAKER_03]: Oh man, I love that, you know, and you had mentioned that you have a baby on the way, right?
- 30:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, and you know, I was thinking about understanding the Father's love for us, understanding this balance between the God of the universe, all knowing, all powerful, full of love, full of justice, perfect.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_03]: created us, gifted us, walks with us, always was, is and will be.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_03]: And then you pair that with the personal nature of God.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'll just tell you and encourage you.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's going to come to life for you even more.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_03]: when you're holding your baby, right?
- 31:07[SPEAKER_03]: And you're experiencing that father's love as the father.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_03]: My eyes have been opened since we've had our girls.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like I understand more deeply the father's love than I ever have before.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_03]: And that's because I've been blessed with these kiddos.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_03]: And so I think that's even gonna be illuminated more for you, man.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_03]: And I love it.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_03]: I love that.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: Did it do to that man.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_01]: I just haven't a child.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_01]: It changes your perspective on everything, but really on how Man, a father's love is just something that it's it's unreal right when it's like you're saying it's the god of the universe is our father Holy cow.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: We are so blessed.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: Right and laying everything you just said about anxiety and depression and cell phones and suicide rates and all that I kind of think that's a microcosm of why
- 31:49[SPEAKER_01]: We are seeing this generation that is leaning into faith because they're realizing these things of the world are cell phones these fake friendships or whatever it is these idols money all that it's just not satisfying yeah it's not doing what we think it's going to do or what the world tells us it's going to do
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: but man, God will take care of us, God will provide.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever that looks like, it's just so cool.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think that is why so many people are saying, the world's letting us down, but I'm seeing a lot of people who are very satisfied and joyful and happy, what's different about them?
- 32:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, then they find out that they're in church.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_01]: They know the Lord, they have a faith.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_01]: They've got some of them much deeper.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's just so cool, incredible.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_01]: later I wanted to ask you a few questions about passion specifically because I know you've got your upcoming conference you said it's going to be an Arlington Texas global life stadium which is awesome when you guys do passion I'm always amazed I see all the videos you guys have an incredible like media team that put out insane live streams and videos and everything man I'm amazed by just like how fit you all are you all are on stage just like
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: singing but also jumping and leading worship and there's like so much happening what goes into like prepping for passion conference in terms of songwriting because you guys pretty much release new songs every every conference right after you're putting together a whole new worship set and then practicing for that and rehearsing and then getting ready to lead worship before the speakers come on stage to really tens and tens of thousands of people.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, I mean, I got to give credit where credit's due.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_00]: There is a team that basically spends their entire year on these logistics, on finding a space, on how are we going to get this many students in one place?
- 33:35[SPEAKER_00]: And they do it with such care.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_00]: I truly think their heart is that students would feel like they're walking into open arms.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_00]: They step into fashion conference and so there's a team that they are getting the word out that they're going to college campuses They are finding people that they want to be at conference and they are figuring out a way for them to be there And so I mean our team is just insane.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: I know that there is a world that I don't even know about that I haven't even seen that I can't even describe but
- 34:00[SPEAKER_00]: they are just a bunch of legends.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm just incredibly grateful for them.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think practically for me what that looks like is just preparing my heart and my mind and expectation for what God's gonna do.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's conversations that like this that make me so excited, you know, because it's like, hey, you know, it's like, we all feel the young people are like, wanting to come to Jesus, we all feel this, like we all feel that there's something stirring.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, let's all get together and let's meet with God.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's like, that's what gets me so pumped and excited.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's why you see people jumping around on stage, because it's like, this is the best thing ever.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's like, what other response can I have?
- 34:37[SPEAKER_00]: Then to just be so excited to be, beating with God, I want to give him my 100% of me.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think the songwriting and all that that's been happening over the course of months and that's still currently happening people are writing our team is praying over the songs and asking the Lord what what he would want us to lead what songs he would want us to sing and what these people who are going to step into conference for them what they need to be singing and what the global church needs to be singing in and so he's just so interwoven and all of it but man like these conversations get me so excited I'm like let's let's go tomorrow.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm ready.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm ready.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, dude, it's it's very exciting.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm pumped to be back in the hometown so that that's for me personally.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'm I'm very excited about back in DFW and yeah, it's Connor.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_03]: Not to be rude.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_03]: It's not global life stadium is global life field.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know, AT&T stadiums across the street.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_03]: You guys should do AT&T stadiums sometimes.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, you know, get Hunter down.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, right.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_03]: Let's make a happen, right?
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: And that's Jerry World, right.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_01]: Specify, AT&T Stadium is Jerry World with Cowboys play.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: We have to ask him, yeah, yeah, we have to ask him.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you this, Michael, you and I went to Global Life and we watched the Jonas Brothers in a concert.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if we're embarrassed by that.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't for the hang on.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't just a corner and I for clarity.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_03]: That's true.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_03]: It was a double date with our wives.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_03]: It's awesome.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I'll be honest with you.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_03]: Like, she didn't drag me there.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think the Joe Bros have been putting some good stuff out recently.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_03]: Are you saying along a little bit?
- 36:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, she did.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_03]: She did.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_03]: She knew a lot of the older stuff, like year 3000, you know?
- 36:13[SPEAKER_03]: And then I know a lot of the newer stuff, like waffle house.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_03]: Like, my girls love to sing along that song.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, as we're kind of wrapping up and landing the plane here, landing.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_03]: you know, I'm thinking about just an encouragement to anybody in any generation right now.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_03]: I think what's coming out of conversations along along the lines of this momentum that we're saying with the younger generations, but even what the struggle is in the younger generations, I think it's the same struggle in any generation, just manifesting itself differently.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_03]: And it's an issue of identity.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_03]: It's an issue of what truth is.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_03]: It's an issue of what we spend our time on and what we focus on, and where we allow our minds to go.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_03]: But you know, I'm thinking about for a long time, we just kept hearing over and over again.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_03]: It's your truth.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's my truth.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_03]: You be cool with it.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_03]: I be cool with it.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we go back to the words of Jesus and John 146.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_03]: He says, this is the truth, right?
- 37:07[SPEAKER_03]: He says, I am the way, the truth, the life, no one comes to the Father, but through me.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_03]: Jesus is the only truth, the bedrock, the foundation at which we live our lives.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_03]: And all three of us in this conversation, everybody listening, if you're a believer, if you have that relationship with Jesus, if the word of God is your foundation, it's exciting because they can look so different.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Connor and I host this podcast together, but we lead different lives.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_03]: We do different things.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_03]: We have different passions.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_03]: You're in an entirely different arena landing, but ultimately it comes down to
- 37:41[SPEAKER_03]: What is the truth?
- 37:42[SPEAKER_03]: And there is one truth.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_03]: There is one way.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_03]: There is one God.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_03]: And it's beautiful.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_03]: And it's it's a remedy to what I believe we're seeing the issue is and the younger generations.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_03]: But even the older generations, it sure would be stressful to live a life without absolute truth and not really knowing exactly where your foundation comes from or what the truth is.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_03]: something that I know, Jesus offers something that everyone's looking for.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_03]: And I think the issue that we're saying in Gen Z is an issue that we've seen in every generation.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_03]: It just looks different each in every generation.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, that's really honestly so true, Micah.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_01]: And there's so much to think about with the upcoming generation.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: And then even the generation after that, I think it's Gen Alpha as well as Gen Z.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_01]: if you want to focus on Gen Z right now.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_01]: But man, Gen Alpha, they're in middle school right now.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: And you talked about it earlier, and like you're leaving middle schoolers, and they're prostrated on the floor.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: Because they feel the Lord too.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's just going to keep on going, and so praying for these generations to find that truth that we're talking about.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're listening to this, and you don't know that truth, man.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_01]: you won't ever find anything better than the gospel and salvation of Jesus Christ, right?
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: That is what bind us all together.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's what brings us all together on the same mission and that includes passion conference.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_01]: And that reminds me, Glenn, I want you to really quickly plug the upcoming conference.
