- 0:00Speaker 1: You have this giant lod. It's too big, and I'm
- 0:03Speaker 1: not laughing. It's a hooty shoe question for the room.
- 0:09Speaker 1: People on the text hitting this up. We got some
- 0:11Speaker 1: people chiming in on this. What's something that you thought
- 0:14Speaker 1: you wanted until.
- 0:16Speaker 2: You got it?
- 0:18Speaker 1: Now, there's people who are that way with a lot
- 0:21Speaker 1: of things because they're really into the chase. Oh sure, right,
- 0:25Speaker 1: it's the let's see if I can do it? And
- 0:26Speaker 1: then you do it. You're like, I don't really want it.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I didn't really want like people. We see it all
- 0:30Speaker 1: the time with contests. People will call in or try
- 0:33Speaker 1: to win a contest. They don't even care about the prize.
- 0:36Speaker 1: They just want to see, Yeah, they just want to
- 0:37Speaker 1: see if they can do it the chase.
- 0:39Speaker 3: You know.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Yeah, but what's something that you thought you wanted until
- 0:44Speaker 1: you got it?
- 0:44Speaker 4: Well, mine's a material thing I begged for and a
- 0:48Speaker 4: bunch of my girlfriends got together to get it to
- 0:50Speaker 4: me for me. When you're I wanted a treadmill so bad.
- 0:53Speaker 4: This was going to change my life. The only my
- 0:56Speaker 4: rule was I wasn't going to watch TV or anything
- 0:58Speaker 4: unless I was on the treadmill.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Like a Peloton one because the Peloton craze is big.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Everybody's like way in the Peloton. Yeah, classes those instructors
- 1:08Speaker 1: like that.
- 1:09Speaker 4: I don't know what to do with this thing. It's bulky.
- 1:12Speaker 4: I never use it. I sprained my ankle because I
- 1:15Speaker 4: was watching TV and talking, you know, walking on it
- 1:17Speaker 4: like fell off. It has been the bane of my existence.
- 1:20Speaker 1: You still have it?
- 1:21Speaker 5: Yes, I want it gone.
- 1:23Speaker 1: On Facebook market, but you know what here? You know,
- 1:25Speaker 1: what are you gonna do? Care if you get money
- 1:28Speaker 1: for it?
- 1:29Speaker 5: Or I mean it's nice.
- 1:31Speaker 1: We can always enlist the expert services of Tyler. I'm
- 1:36Speaker 1: just saying stuff interest Maybe give them, yeah, maybe give
- 1:42Speaker 1: them like a cut.
- 1:43Speaker 5: This is not a bad idea, like say, hey.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I would like to get X number for this thing,
- 1:47Speaker 1: like find out what it's truly worth. I mean, because
- 1:49Speaker 1: there's there's got to be a ton of treadmills on
- 1:53Speaker 1: the market exactly probably, Like you gotta be realistic. I know,
- 1:58Speaker 1: I would like to get this, you know, and then
- 2:00Speaker 1: tell him that and see what he can come up with. Well,
- 2:02Speaker 1: that's a good idea.
- 2:03Speaker 5: The only thing I was going to use it for
- 2:04Speaker 5: is like should I put the dog on it?
- 2:06Speaker 1: I don't dog.
- 2:10Speaker 6: I don't know what else to do with it.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Volunteered Tyler for that. Tyler, would that? Would that? Would
- 2:16Speaker 1: that be something that you'd be interested in? This will
- 2:18Speaker 1: be the first step into my consignment business.
- 2:21Speaker 5: But this pick up only I an't transporting this thing.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Well, we'll work out the kels, all right, Maybe send
- 2:27Speaker 1: Tyler over there. What are you driving these days? I'm
- 2:28Speaker 1: driving a Kia, so.
- 2:31Speaker 7: Don't hit upon either. Because I gave him my treadmill.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I'm sure it's not fast enough for obviously, yeah, Greg Gory.
- 2:42Speaker 2: For me, I'm thinking of two things. One was a
- 2:45Speaker 2: down filled couch. I thought I'm gonna finally get because
- 2:49Speaker 2: in the store it was so comfortable. And then once
- 2:52Speaker 2: you get a home, for years, feathers would come out.
- 2:55Speaker 5: Of it and they poke you.
- 2:56Speaker 1: They hurt.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Yeah, and it sucked, and I thought, oh, fancy, finally,
- 3:01Speaker 2: I you know, made it in life, I can get
- 3:03Speaker 2: a downfilled sofa.
- 3:04Speaker 1: It sucked.
- 3:05Speaker 2: And then the other thing I still get because I
- 3:07Speaker 2: like the idea of it, even though I hate it
- 3:09Speaker 2: is when I order a martini. They're so gross. I
- 3:12Speaker 2: hate them, but I like the ritual and the look
- 3:16Speaker 2: and the olives and all that that they suck.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Menace.
- 3:22Speaker 7: So back when I was selling televisions, I was making
- 3:26Speaker 7: crazy commission like off selling TVs. I would probably make
- 3:29Speaker 7: like five hundred to seven hundred and fifty dollars per
- 3:32Speaker 7: television and I would sell a lot and I would
- 3:35Speaker 7: take all this money because I had no overhead. I
- 3:38Speaker 7: was living in the hood in my friend's apartment with
- 3:42Speaker 7: the room. So what do you do the smart choices?
- 3:45Speaker 7: You buy a Mercedes dude. Yeah, right, so I'm living. Yeah,
- 3:52Speaker 7: I'm living hood Ridge in this Mercedes. But like, you
- 3:56Speaker 7: don't buy those type of cars unless you can really
- 3:59Speaker 7: afford them because the maintenance on that stuff like that,
- 4:02Speaker 7: you take him in a minimum, it's like a thousand dollars.
- 4:05Speaker 7: So that investment immediately became the worst investment I've ever
- 4:10Speaker 7: done in my entire life. So yeah, I immediately regretted it.
- 4:14Speaker 7: It was fun in the moment, see like yeah, something
- 4:17Speaker 7: like that.
- 4:18Speaker 1: People say, uh, having a pool, Like it'd be so
- 4:22Speaker 1: cool to have a pool, and then literally like all
- 4:27Speaker 1: the stuff you gotta do for it, yeah, or you
- 4:29Speaker 1: just never use as much as you think, like a treadmill. Yeah, although,
- 4:33Speaker 1: get some people on the text that are offering take
- 4:34Speaker 1: that treadmill off.
- 4:35Speaker 5: Your hand, asking how much we're going to talk?
- 4:38Speaker 1: Yeah, what about you, Sammy?
- 4:41Speaker 8: Mine was getting into a four year college because I
- 4:44Speaker 8: went to community college first, and I was like, I'm
- 4:47Speaker 8: going to transfer to a four year college.
- 4:49Speaker 9: I worked really hard.
- 4:50Speaker 8: I was in community college for four years, but I
- 4:53Speaker 8: just felt like I needed to like prove that I
- 4:56Speaker 8: could get into an actual college, and you know, get
- 4:59Speaker 8: my and my first year at a four year college,
- 5:03Speaker 8: I hated it. And I was like, and I don't
- 5:06Speaker 8: like school, and why did I work so hard to
- 5:08Speaker 8: do this. I hated the last four years of even
- 5:10Speaker 8: pursuing to get here, and I don't like it here either.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Oh really?
- 5:13Speaker 5: Oh god?
- 5:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:14Speaker 8: So and everything was at the college that I went
- 5:17Speaker 8: to because it was.
- 5:17Speaker 9: A mostly commuter school.
- 5:19Speaker 8: You could never find parking, always late to class, everybody
- 5:23Speaker 8: was because nobody could park. You had all these pre
- 5:25Speaker 8: wrecks for your major that for me, weren't like necessary.
- 5:29Speaker 9: Really with what I wanted to do. I felt like
- 5:30Speaker 9: it was.
- 5:30Speaker 8: A giant waste of my time and I ended up
- 5:33Speaker 8: quitting because it was not at all what I thought
- 5:36Speaker 8: it was.
- 5:36Speaker 6: Going to be.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Text here says I thought I wanted a German shepherd.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I got one, Oh, did not fit my lifestyle to
- 5:46Speaker 1: had to adapt and wouldn't give him up for anything.
- 5:49Speaker 1: But I still wish i'd never.
- 5:50Speaker 5: Gotten that was a roller coaster ride.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Yeah, not a nine says I have a couple of
- 5:54Speaker 1: college degrees, So I went from James the janitor to
- 5:57Speaker 1: James the instructional designer. Damn, not as cool and a
- 6:02Speaker 1: whole lot more accountability and a marginal raise. I always
- 6:06Speaker 1: wanted to work at a school district. Now that I do,
- 6:08Speaker 1: I hate it and the parents that complain for every
- 6:10Speaker 1: little thing. Yeah, this one said. Something I always wanted
- 6:13Speaker 1: was to be promoted to my current director position. Now
- 6:17Speaker 1: I see dysfunctional and toxic leadership and how that is
- 6:20Speaker 1: so toxic. Plus the weight on my team's performance lands
- 6:24Speaker 1: on my shoulders and I could barely and I could
- 6:28Speaker 1: basically be let go if they don't perform like other
- 6:30Speaker 1: people don't perform you and give it like a yeah
- 6:32Speaker 1: nine for nine. I always wanted a luxury car, expensive
- 6:36Speaker 1: sports car, no different than a regular domestic car. I
- 6:39Speaker 1: bought a Dream motorcycle for thirty thousand dollars. That's why
- 6:42Speaker 1: I got it. I realized that I didn't want a
- 6:44Speaker 1: speed bike anymore and now just sits in my garage.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I've been wanting a boat forever. Once I got my
- 6:50Speaker 1: brand new boat, I regretted that so bad, the maintenance,
- 6:53Speaker 1: everything to do hauling. It's a disaster. A lot of
- 6:56Speaker 1: people saying kids in marriage right now, you're getting a
- 6:59Speaker 1: lot of that. A word of warning on the text
- 7:04Speaker 1: for Gina this one three two six, Tyler will f
- 7:09Speaker 1: you over, Gina. Who he tends to do that with
- 7:11Speaker 1: everyone around him. He will screw you over with the money.
- 7:15Speaker 5: Who is this person?
- 7:17Speaker 1: It's not Morgan. She's standing right here.
- 7:19Speaker 9: I haven't texted this whole summon.
- 7:23Speaker 5: Her hands are in the air.
- 7:24Speaker 1: She's sitting here. Are you knowing to screw people over
- 7:27Speaker 1: with money?
- 7:28Speaker 9: Tyler?
- 7:28Speaker 1: I am not. And I text that person back saying
- 7:30Speaker 1: say it louder for the peach in the back so
- 7:32Speaker 1: we can all hear. So, okay, right, Morgan? What what's
- 7:39Speaker 1: the question?
- 7:40Speaker 7: Oh?
- 7:40Speaker 1: Like something that you thought you always wanted?
- 7:42Speaker 10: Mine?
- 7:42Speaker 9: Stupid?
- 7:43Speaker 10: So I had a friend named Alex when I was
- 7:45Speaker 10: we were probably like preteens, right, and she would always
- 7:48Speaker 10: wear a makeup because she had acne. She was like
- 7:50Speaker 10: the first of our friends to get boobs and acne,
- 7:53Speaker 10: and I wasn't jealous of her boobs, but for some reason,
- 7:55Speaker 10: I wanted to act me so bad you did.
- 7:57Speaker 6: Okay, that's so stupid, And she.
- 8:00Speaker 10: Would put concealer on and I'm like, oh my god,
- 8:02Speaker 10: she's so cool and pretty and like mortgage.
- 8:05Speaker 4: I get this because when all my brother's friends were
- 8:08Speaker 4: a little older and they had braces and like a
- 8:11Speaker 4: cast and crutches, I thought that made you like a
- 8:13Speaker 4: cool teenager and I wanted that to.
- 8:15Speaker 10: I don't know why Alex is so cool because she
- 8:17Speaker 10: has to get it, totally totally get it.
- 8:22Speaker 9: But then I got him, and I'm like, oh, this
- 8:23Speaker 9: crap sucks.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:26Speaker 2: I wanted a retainer.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Yeah, but not Hackney.
- 8:29Speaker 9: I want to brace as stupid.
- 8:30Speaker 1: You want the strangest things, Like she said recently that
- 8:34Speaker 1: she wanted a stalker. Right, yeah, she said it would
- 8:36Speaker 1: be flattered, like an honor.
- 8:38Speaker 9: It's not like I really really want one, right, but
- 8:40Speaker 9: it is flattering.
- 8:40Speaker 10: It's a compliment to have someone that into you.
- 8:45Speaker 2: No, No, I see your point, And like if you
- 8:48Speaker 2: if you got cat called, you would think that's a
- 8:50Speaker 2: compliment too, right.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Yeah, But she said, oh, I wouldn't mind having a stalker.
- 8:55Speaker 7: Okay, So like in my neighborhood a long time ago,
- 9:00Speaker 7: I would have this chick like go up to my
- 9:04Speaker 7: window and stare through the front window of my house.
- 9:08Speaker 1: You would like that you had a stalker.
- 9:10Speaker 7: Yeah, because I think it was because I was this chick.
- 9:13Speaker 7: I don't know. I think it was just because I
- 9:15Speaker 7: worked at the radio station and I would park the
- 9:17Speaker 7: vehicle at my house and maybe she was like a
- 9:19Speaker 7: fan of.
- 9:19Speaker 1: The radio station or whatever.
- 9:21Speaker 7: She wasn't bad looking, no, there you go. But then
- 9:25Speaker 7: my neighbors were like, hey, some girl like comes up
- 9:28Speaker 7: to your like front lawn and like stare through your
- 9:30Speaker 7: front window. Pretty, you might want to keep an eye
- 9:33Speaker 7: out for that. And we found out she like lived
- 9:34Speaker 7: in the neighborhood. Like selling your socks and stuff like that.
- 9:37Speaker 7: That's one thing, right, But like actively wanting a stalker, I.
- 9:41Speaker 9: Don't actively want one. I'm just saying if I had one,
- 9:44Speaker 9: I wouldn't.
- 9:44Speaker 10: Be mad about it, right, Okay, whatever, I would be crying,
- 9:47Speaker 10: like what you know.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Well, Gina got a word of wanting me, You got
- 9:52Speaker 1: the word of warning about Tyler and over the money.
- 9:55Speaker 5: I don't feel that way, but I'm stupid.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Well, we have someone who's going to join us after
- 10:00Speaker 1: the break who has a word of warning for Morgan
- 10:04Speaker 1: me when it comes to this stalker thing. This is
- 10:08Speaker 1: a person who we know Gina, and she told us
- 10:12Speaker 1: her story recently about her stalker.
- 10:19Speaker 9: Carpenter.
- 10:20Speaker 1: No dude, her name is Michelle, and she's going to
- 10:25Speaker 1: join us next to tell us the stories. Yeah, because
- 10:28Speaker 1: I said, how public are you with this story? She goes, oh,
- 10:30Speaker 1: very pulsing. It made the news. She is the program
- 10:33Speaker 1: director of our radio station that we're on in Baton.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Rouge ruled Michelle Southern. She's dope, but she's really cool. Story.
- 10:42Speaker 9: Yeah, so well, she rules everything turned out great for her.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Well, hear the story and then you can make your
- 10:47Speaker 1: own choice. Yeah, Morgan had said, even if it was
- 10:56Speaker 1: like not super literal like she we were talking about stalkers,
- 11:01Speaker 1: and she goes, oh, I be kind of flattering. Yeah,
- 11:05Speaker 1: I wouldn't mind having a stalker. She said that at
- 11:07Speaker 1: one point. Yes, Now, whether she you know what you
- 11:09Speaker 1: meant by that, you know, I don't, because I mean,
- 11:13Speaker 1: these guys were weird, man, weird. It's a spectrum and
- 11:17Speaker 1: you here, they're so weird and you hear and you
- 11:20Speaker 1: hear stories, you know, all the time from different people. Now,
- 11:23Speaker 1: one of the people that Gina and I recently heard
- 11:27Speaker 1: a story from is a friend of ours. Her name
- 11:30Speaker 1: is Michelle, real name Michelle Southern, and she's the program
- 11:34Speaker 1: director of our station in Baton, Rouge Eagle ninety eight
- 11:39Speaker 1: point one, and she has been on the air there
- 11:43Speaker 1: for a long time and she's very well liked and
- 11:46Speaker 1: she's very successful. Am I doing a good job of
- 11:49Speaker 1: pumping you up? Yeah? It's not bad, not bad?
- 11:52Speaker 3: All right?
- 11:52Speaker 1: All right? So this is this is Michelle. Everybody Michelle. Yeah. So, anyway,
- 12:00Speaker 1: she had this stalker and she was telling Gina and
- 12:03Speaker 1: I because she heard Morgan say about how she wouldn't
- 12:07Speaker 1: mind having one. She goes, please tell Morgan, this is
- 12:11Speaker 1: a word of warning for you. Morgan and Michelle, thank
- 12:14Speaker 1: you for coming on with us. And I asked her,
- 12:16Speaker 1: I said, how public are you with the story? Because
- 12:19Speaker 1: it is a lot, It is a lot, it's a
- 12:21Speaker 1: crazy story. How did it start?
- 12:23Speaker 6: Well?
- 12:24Speaker 3: And so when I heard Morgan say this, and she
- 12:27Speaker 3: just said it again, you know that you would want
- 12:30Speaker 3: that attention. I will say that I kind of felt
- 12:33Speaker 3: that way at first. But my stalking went on for
- 12:37Speaker 3: fifteen years. And it started with just this guy who
- 12:43Speaker 3: was listening to me on the air, and this was
- 12:45Speaker 3: back in two thousand and one, and he just started
- 12:48Speaker 3: sending me these letters and these postcards that were written
- 12:52Speaker 3: on the front and the back, just telling me like
- 12:55Speaker 3: about his day and walking his dog and whatnot. Didn't
- 12:58Speaker 3: really think much of it, but it went on for years,
- 13:01Speaker 3: and then when I switched jobs in twenty ten, they
- 13:05Speaker 3: started coming there, which which I thought was weird, like
- 13:07Speaker 3: like a lot of my friends hadn't even made the
- 13:09Speaker 3: connection that I had switched jobs, but this guy found
- 13:12Speaker 3: me and then so it had been right at the
- 13:15Speaker 3: fifteen year mark, turned from postcards to multi page letters.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Then it turned into gifts, like he sent me a
- 13:22Speaker 3: bracelet that said love bird and keep in mind. Like
- 13:26Speaker 3: I never responded and I never ever knew the guy.
- 13:30Speaker 3: I never met him, fased, he didn't like come to remote,
- 13:32Speaker 3: so he didn't call in.
- 13:33Speaker 6: It was just letters.
- 13:34Speaker 1: And so for you're on board, Morgan, I could tell
- 13:36Speaker 1: you Greg's I'll tell bracelet, oh cardier bracelet.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Wow.
- 13:43Speaker 6: Yeah, like hand he was like handmade.
- 13:46Speaker 3: The letters were like his handwriting was getting worse, you
- 13:49Speaker 3: know it was. It was starting to get more creepy.
- 13:52Speaker 3: But I decided to contact officers because one of the
- 13:56Speaker 3: letters said I loved the red shirt that you were
- 13:59Speaker 3: wearing today, coming at me walking down the sidewalk, jiggle, jiggle, jiggle,
- 14:05Speaker 3: and I thought, okay, like this is this is enough.
- 14:09Speaker 1: So he was outside, like just parked down the street
- 14:12Speaker 1: like watching.
- 14:12Speaker 5: Him like a lamp post or something.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I guess, did he know where you lived?
- 14:17Speaker 3: No, it was just it was just at the radio
- 14:20Speaker 3: station where I worked, and so he was a letter.
- 14:23Speaker 3: So but I happened to know that on the day
- 14:25Speaker 3: he wrote it, I was wearing a red shirt and
- 14:27Speaker 3: that's what freaked me out. So anyway, I went to
- 14:30Speaker 3: the cops and I had one hundred. I saved all
- 14:32Speaker 3: the letters, I guess just in case. Maybe I had
- 14:34Speaker 3: an instinct that this is you know, this guy's not
- 14:37Speaker 3: really right in the head. So when I went to
- 14:40Speaker 3: police officers, they said, you know, okay, this is kind
- 14:43Speaker 3: of weird. But went to his house and told the guy, look,
- 14:47Speaker 3: stop writing her letters. And the guy told them that
- 14:50Speaker 3: I was his girlfriend and that there was there was
- 14:52Speaker 3: nothing wrong with him.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I pictured, like, remember that episode of South Park where
- 14:56Speaker 1: they go to the cops because there's a teacher at
- 14:58Speaker 1: the school having an interprod the hot the hot kindergarten
- 15:01Speaker 1: teachers having a like relationships with some of the boys
- 15:05Speaker 1: at the school. And then oh, yeah, nice, right, I'm
- 15:09Speaker 1: picturing her going down to the police station. Go this
- 15:12Speaker 1: is guy and he's saying all these things about how
- 15:14Speaker 1: pretty I am. And he bought me bracelets and gifts.
- 15:17Speaker 3: And they're like, oh nice, he would you know, listen,
- 15:21Speaker 3: what's wrong with that?
- 15:22Speaker 1: We make a note of her on the report. Oh no,
- 15:24Speaker 1: free gifts.
- 15:25Speaker 3: It was it was validating when he he called me
- 15:28Speaker 3: his girlfriend, because clearly I wasn't because I did feel
- 15:30Speaker 3: like crazy, you know, going in there with this, but
- 15:33Speaker 3: it just met my now husband at the time, and
- 15:36Speaker 3: he was having none of it. So anyway, they told
- 15:39Speaker 3: him to stop communicating with me, because that's the line
- 15:41Speaker 3: of stalkerness to stuf Why I you tell somebody to
- 15:43Speaker 3: stop and if they don't stop, they get arrested. So
- 15:46Speaker 3: it stopped for like three weeks, and then I got
- 15:49Speaker 3: another letter which my boss of my company was monitoring
- 15:52Speaker 3: my mail in case I was hiding it, because I
- 15:54Speaker 3: in case I changed my mind as a victim because
- 15:57Speaker 3: this was silly, right, yeah, said, this is not fun,
- 16:01Speaker 3: like it's turning. It got really scary the time when
- 16:03Speaker 3: they told him to stop, and the whether or not
- 16:05Speaker 3: I would get a letter every day, It had got
- 16:07Speaker 3: really scary. Plus at that point, he knows that I
- 16:10Speaker 3: turned him into police, so we got another letter. They
- 16:13Speaker 3: went and arrested him for account of stalking. And that's
- 16:17Speaker 3: my stalker story. And you don't want one trust me
- 16:22Speaker 3: like that.
- 16:23Speaker 10: But no, that's where it gets really dangerous though, when
- 16:25Speaker 10: they think they're in this you know, made up relationship,
- 16:28Speaker 10: right exactly for fifteen years.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Everyone connects with us on the air, you know, like
- 16:32Speaker 3: he thinks that I'm his girlfriend, that I'm talking to him.
- 16:35Speaker 3: The letters would say things like, oh I heard that,
- 16:37Speaker 3: you know your son did this whatever?
- 16:39Speaker 6: Whatever? He talk about my dog.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Like the letters were indicative of what a boyfriend would
- 16:45Speaker 3: write a girlfriend, you know, like he was responding to
- 16:48Speaker 3: what I was saying on the air as if we
- 16:50Speaker 3: were in a relationship.
- 16:51Speaker 7: Yeah. The only problem I see not enough gifts, you know,
- 16:54Speaker 7: only one.
- 16:54Speaker 9: Only one bracelet?
- 16:56Speaker 6: Okay, yeah I got a ton of There was a
- 16:59Speaker 6: ton of gifts.
- 17:00Speaker 3: I mean candles, candles, bookmarks like they I mean they
- 17:04Speaker 3: had my name on them.
- 17:06Speaker 6: He would make me art like it was super weird.
- 17:09Speaker 6: So I ended up getting rid of it a week.
- 17:11Speaker 6: But no, I get it.
- 17:12Speaker 10: When it goes past a certain amount of years, that's
- 17:16Speaker 10: a team.
- 17:16Speaker 1: So whatever whatever happened with him, he has not tried
- 17:19Speaker 1: to reach out since getting picked up, right, I.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Have no he It did completely stop after that, and
- 17:26Speaker 3: I have I.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Would almost reversed, like you would be now keeping more
- 17:31Speaker 1: tabs on him. Yeah, to know, yeah, to know where
- 17:33Speaker 1: he's at these days or we're no like what he's doing,
- 17:37Speaker 1: just an awareness, I.
- 17:39Speaker 6: Mean, I I guess. So when I saw his mug,
- 17:41Speaker 6: I'd never seen him before.
- 17:42Speaker 3: When I saw his bugshot and learned a little bit
- 17:44Speaker 3: about his history, he's a veteran, you know, which I hate.
- 17:49Speaker 6: He had some issues veterans. I mean no, no, no,
- 17:54Speaker 6: I don't hate veterans. I hate. I hated that he
- 17:56Speaker 6: was a veteran and.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Had mental problems. Yeah, yeah, so it was being because
- 18:01Speaker 3: you know, I know, he was being monitored and I
- 18:04Speaker 3: didn't really feel I didn't. I wasn't worried after that
- 18:06Speaker 3: because I knew I had you know, police on my
- 18:09Speaker 3: had my bag.
- 18:10Speaker 6: My husband was watching my boss.
- 18:12Speaker 3: You know, everybody was was keeping a close eye, and
- 18:15Speaker 3: it stopped.
- 18:16Speaker 6: I never heard from him again.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Five two zero says my mom, and I had a stalker.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Got a restraining order against him. Years later, he was
- 18:23Speaker 1: arrested twice for child molestation.
- 18:26Speaker 6: Wow.
- 18:26Speaker 4: See that's what I was wondering, Michelle, if he finally
- 18:28Speaker 4: broke up with you and got a new girl friend.
- 18:31Speaker 5: Quote.
- 18:32Speaker 6: I have no idea he was. He was sixty three.
- 18:34Speaker 6: He lived alone.
- 18:35Speaker 3: I did do some research that he had previously lived
- 18:38Speaker 3: with his mother and she had died, So you lived.
- 18:40Speaker 6: I knew where he lived.
- 18:41Speaker 3: It wasn't far from the radio station, so I knew
- 18:44Speaker 3: that aspect of him. But I really wasn't worried. But
- 18:48Speaker 3: it was still scary. But you know, after the fact,
- 18:52Speaker 3: you don't want a stalker.
- 18:54Speaker 1: And you never try to like sell your socks or
- 18:56Speaker 1: your underwear things like that like Morgan's been doing. No
- 19:01Speaker 1: the Gateway to stocking.
- 19:02Speaker 6: Yes, yes, I would, tay, I would hang on to all.
- 19:05Speaker 9: That God forbid opportunity falls in my lab.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Well, let me ask this, So Michelle Menace has this
- 19:11Speaker 2: not a theory but more of a fact really that
- 19:15Speaker 2: if you're in an office situation and a dude tells
- 19:18Speaker 2: you you look great, it's creepy if he's ugly, but
- 19:21Speaker 2: it's a compliment if he's hot. Had this stalk or
- 19:24Speaker 2: not been sixty three and kind of weird, had he
- 19:28Speaker 2: been like your age and good looking, how would that
- 19:32Speaker 2: letter have changed things? It might have been like, hey,
- 19:35Speaker 2: maybe we should have lunch.
- 19:36Speaker 3: So I never saw or knew what he looked like
- 19:39Speaker 3: until I saw his mugshot. So, but the content of
- 19:45Speaker 3: his letters kind of indicated to me that he would
- 19:48Speaker 3: not have been a hotty.
- 19:49Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 19:53Speaker 1: For the sake of the argument, Let's say let's say
- 19:55Speaker 1: that he was attractive. Would that have changed anything?
- 19:59Speaker 6: Maybe? Maybe?
- 20:00Speaker 3: Just to be perfectly, I'm trying to think of the
- 20:03Speaker 3: guys that come to my remotes all the time and
- 20:05Speaker 3: they're you know, there's some guys that are like, okay,
- 20:08Speaker 3: you're good, But then like the hot guys that obsess
- 20:10Speaker 3: over me, I'm like, yeah, bring it up, will.
- 20:17Speaker 5: Get you in the door. But if you're creepy, you're creepy.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Right, Because it had it been like some hot dude,
- 20:23Speaker 2: this would be a story you tell the kids Hey,
- 20:26Speaker 2: do you know how Dad and I met? He wrote
- 20:28Speaker 2: me a letter and sent me a bracelet and it
- 20:30Speaker 2: was to.
- 20:31Speaker 7: Be honest, Like your story just sounds like it was
- 20:33Speaker 7: a really lonely old man.
- 20:35Speaker 1: That was writing. I thought they were dating, well the
- 20:38Speaker 1: initial part, like she said, the initial part, And that's
- 20:40Speaker 1: what we're talking. Looking at her, like if you're getting
- 20:46Speaker 1: that kind of stuff from somebody and they're clearly like
- 20:49Speaker 1: doing surveillance, actually following.
- 20:52Speaker 5: And writing, jiggle, jiggle.
- 20:53Speaker 1: One thing is the first part is are fan letters
- 20:58Speaker 1: basically the other one?
- 20:59Speaker 3: I mean, I get letters from jail. I get letters
- 21:01Speaker 3: all the time.
- 21:03Speaker 1: You know, nice, But I know.
- 21:05Speaker 7: A DJ who got letters from jail and calls from jail.
- 21:08Speaker 7: And now she's married to that guy and they haven't
- 21:10Speaker 7: really are you serious and they've been married for like
- 21:13Speaker 7: ten years now, and.
- 21:14Speaker 1: They're doing great love love.
- 21:17Speaker 6: Get letters from jail. All the DJs down here get
- 21:19Speaker 6: letters from jail all the time.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Yeah, Morgan got dumped by her prison.
- 21:24Speaker 9: Get this.
- 21:25Speaker 10: A guy wrote me from jail. I wrote him back.
- 21:26Speaker 10: He wrote me back, and I kept writing him back,
- 21:28Speaker 10: and then he stopped writing me back.
- 21:30Speaker 7: Well because she prayed she's stuff on the uh per letter,
- 21:35Speaker 7: and you can't do that because.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Oh yeah, maybe he just hadn't that into me. Yeah,
- 21:43Speaker 3: you have to be careful about what you say back
- 21:45Speaker 3: to them. You know, you can't say anything about the
- 21:47Speaker 3: crime or anything, or they won't let it through.
- 21:49Speaker 6: Lets spray with ye And.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Then Morgan had a stalker at one point, and then
- 21:54Speaker 1: he just got his own place again, so he just
- 21:55Speaker 1: moved to a different place.
- 21:56Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, so I survived really well, now get it.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Tyler, her stalker is much happier. Yeah, no, braks, let's
- 22:05Speaker 1: just chicken in the same. But you know, all, thank
- 22:10Speaker 1: you for thank you for sharing the story I wanted
- 22:12Speaker 1: Morgan to hear because you were telling Gina non story.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I'm like, you know what, you're right, Morgan does Morgan
- 22:17Speaker 1: does need to hear this story?
- 22:18Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, it's not.
- 22:19Speaker 1: I mean, careful what you wish for.
- 22:22Speaker 9: I'm not wishing for it. It just came up in conversation.
- 22:24Speaker 10: I said it would be flattering, like, it's not like
- 22:26Speaker 10: I'm going making to get that.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I'm just making sure you started the sock selling business.
- 22:32Speaker 10: Because someone asked. So it's like an opportunity fell in
- 22:36Speaker 10: my lap.
- 22:36Speaker 1: So I said, yes, money was supposed to do right well, Michelle,
- 22:40Speaker 1: thank you for for sharing the story.
- 22:42Speaker 6: Absolutely, guys, thanks for having me on.
- 22:44Speaker 1: What are some of the more fun things that people
- 22:47Speaker 1: call you about? Because you're she's the program director of
- 22:49Speaker 1: our station that we're on in Baton Rouge and we're
- 22:54Speaker 1: new there. We've only been on for what two months?
- 22:57Speaker 1: Three months something like that, Newish, new Ish.
- 23:00Speaker 6: We started April sixth.
- 23:02Speaker 1: April sixth, all right, So what are some of the
- 23:04Speaker 1: more interesting comments people call in with that you get.
- 23:08Speaker 6: About you guys are just in general now about.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Us, like, because there's always complainers. There's always people who
- 23:13Speaker 1: are like, you know, really, man, oh this is awesome.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Show doesn't matter, great decision, it doesn't matter because whoever,
- 23:19Speaker 1: whoever was on before, you know, they always have the
- 23:21Speaker 1: people who that was like their thing. And then so
- 23:23Speaker 1: that you get like this and it's it doesn't matter.
- 23:25Speaker 1: It doesn't matter who it is or where it is.
- 23:26Speaker 1: It's always the same story. Any any interesting ones?
- 23:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, and so almost thirty years of radio myself,
- 23:33Speaker 3: this was not my first rodeo, so I'm sure you
- 23:34Speaker 3: know how it went. The guy that was here before
- 23:37Speaker 3: had been a you know, longtime veteran here in Baton
- 23:39Speaker 3: Rouge radio veteran. Yeah, yeah, clarify that time. So obviously
- 23:45Speaker 3: he's missed. But I'm you know, I kindly respond to everybody.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate it. We welcome it.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Give the Woody Show another try. And what's funny is
- 23:56Speaker 3: they're so loyal to our station here because you know,
- 23:58Speaker 3: we're heritage rock.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a big.
- 24:00Speaker 3: They'll like, yeah, they'll keep complaining and I'm thinking you're
- 24:03Speaker 3: still listening, right, But but they have very much slowed down.
- 24:09Speaker 3: And I know that as everybody gets to know you
- 24:11Speaker 3: guys better in your personalities.
- 24:14Speaker 6: I was a big believer in this show, and I
- 24:15Speaker 6: pushed hard for it.
- 24:16Speaker 1: So so what specifically? Anything specific, like, oh, they did
- 24:19Speaker 1: this contest where they were guessing each other's gas.
- 24:22Speaker 5: They sound fat.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Sound fat.
- 24:24Speaker 3: It's more the if I may the vulgarity, Like this
- 24:31Speaker 3: woman sent me an email and said that you guys
- 24:33Speaker 3: said something about somebody's penis or something. Probably I can't
- 24:38Speaker 3: remember exactly what it was, and my daughter was in
- 24:41Speaker 3: the car.
- 24:43Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, I mean it's probably a compliment.
- 24:47Speaker 6: I think it was related to.
- 24:49Speaker 5: About Master.
- 24:52Speaker 1: I don't know it was probably where I when the
- 24:55Speaker 1: diddy thing came out and I said, man, that has
- 24:57Speaker 1: got to be the biggest penis I've ever seen in
- 24:59Speaker 1: my talking.
- 25:00Speaker 5: About that guy.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Yeah, the guy whatever, the something two fist dude.
- 25:09Speaker 5: Anyway, that was probably yeah, sorry, Michelle, No, it's okay.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Are you are you the are you the kids in
- 25:15Speaker 1: the car station? I wasn't aware of that.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Well, we're a morning show and people, I mean, but
- 25:21Speaker 3: it's funny that, oh I have my kids in the car.
- 25:24Speaker 6: We are not the kids in the car station neither way.
- 25:27Speaker 1: You like, if you were sold that, Billigates.
- 25:30Speaker 3: No, no, no, not not by any stretch. Even the
- 25:33Speaker 3: previous host either. I don't think that he necessarily talked
- 25:36Speaker 3: about actually he did so anyway, people are just you know,
- 25:39Speaker 3: they're going to say what they want to say, but
- 25:42Speaker 3: and you never know, like some of these might be
- 25:44Speaker 3: fake accounts to go.
- 25:46Speaker 1: This is a text. We literally just got two two
- 25:48Speaker 1: five texting over the show before. Always yelled at us,
- 25:51Speaker 1: y'all are a nice addition, trust me, nice.
- 25:54Speaker 6: That's awesome.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Believe it on a positive Michelle, thank you so much
- 25:58Speaker 1: for for coming on. I appreciate the best.
- 26:01Speaker 6: Shall probably rot baton Rouge.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Loves you all right, thanks, Michelle Someday Yeah yeah, not yet.
- 26:07Speaker 1: It's too early. She's told ye wait wait till they
- 26:10Speaker 1: they they hit her up in there. Uh, they've come around,
- 26:14Speaker 1: you know. Eight seven seven forty four What he text
- 26:16Speaker 1: over to two two nine eight seven more What He
- 26:18Speaker 1: shows next. Show returns right after these messages.
