- 2:03Today's Tuesday.
- 2:04Like I said, it is March 24, 2026.
- 2:08And today we're talking about move without delay.
- 2:12It's series five.
- 2:14It's show, I think now, it's actually show
- 2:18number 13, and it's episode number four.
- 2:23All right, guys.
- 2:24Who am I?
- 2:25Oh, sure.
- 2:25I'm John C.
- 2:26Morley, serial entrepreneur, engineer, marketing specialist, video producer,
- 2:31podcast host, coach, keynote speaker, graduate student, and
- 2:34a passionate lifelong learner, and pretty soon I'll
- 2:37be a published author, and I'm really psyched
- 2:39for that.
- 2:39This episode is all about momentum, decisive action,
- 2:43and building unstoppable personal power because your personal
- 2:47power turns into your other power, which would
- 2:48be your business power.
- 2:50Tonight, I'm focusing on moving without delay, transforming
- 2:54hesitation into forward motion and using deliberate choices
- 2:58to create results.
- 3:00Every point that I'm sharing with you is
- 3:03designed to give you actionable clarity, confidence, and
- 3:06energy to move you and your life forward
- 3:09starting right now.
- 3:12All right, so let's kick in gear.
- 3:14Number one, guys, action creates opportunity.
- 3:19Every step you take opens a door, okay?
- 3:23Every step that you take opens a door.
- 3:28Waiting, guys, in case you didn't know, it
- 3:31slows progress.
- 3:33Hesitation costs momentum, okay?
- 3:37I think that's an important one to know,
- 3:39and move now, not later, all right?
- 3:43Number two, guys, procrastination is progress lost.
- 3:47Start before perfect.
- 3:50Done beats perfect every time.
- 3:53Action builds confidence.
- 3:55Forward motion reinforces belief.
- 3:58Motion creates momentum.
- 4:00Every compound of the energy that we have
- 4:04will move us forward to speed in creating
- 4:07advantages.
- 4:08Quick decisions outperform slow ones.
- 4:11Action removes fear.
- 4:13Momentum dissolves hesitation, number three, and start small,
- 4:17move fast.
- 4:18Micro steps ignite massive change.
- 4:22Execution beats, yes, ideas and plans without action.
- 4:28Remain dreams.
- 4:29Action begins and builds clarity.
- 4:32Number three, guys, movement reveals what matters most.
- 4:38Keep moving forward.
- 4:41Consistency beats bursts of effort.
- 4:44Movement creates energy, and that fuels further action.
- 4:49Action solves problems, and progress eliminates indecision.
- 4:53Progress requires motion.
- 4:57Stagnation blocks success.
- 4:59So do it now, guys.
- 5:00The best time is always the present, and
- 5:03so that's an important one, all right?
- 5:06Number four, action builds discipline.
- 5:08Momentum reinforces habits.
- 5:11Momentum beats hesitation.
- 5:14Indecision kills opportunity, and action creates results, all
- 5:18right?
- 5:18Results act and attract more options.
- 5:21Number four, move with purpose.
- 5:24Focused energy multiplies output.
- 5:27Execution defines success.
- 5:29Effort determines achievement.
- 5:32Action creates growth.
- 5:33Growth only comes from doing.
- 5:38Five, guys, stop waiting.
- 5:41Start doing.
- 5:43Time won't wait for you.
- 5:45Momentum starts with action.
- 5:47Forward motion compounds quickly.
- 5:50Action builds identity.
- 5:51Who you are is what you do.
- 5:54Number six, guys, keep going daily.
- 5:57Small steps accumulate into mastery.
- 5:59Movement creates change.
- 6:01Every move alters your reality.
- 6:04Number six, guys, action builds power.
- 6:07Control grows through forward motion, all right?
- 6:11I think that's an important one.
- 6:14Seven, start and adjust.
- 6:17Flexibility fuels continuous progress.
- 6:19Move forward, guys.
- 6:21Always forward is the only direction that matters.
- 6:24Never backward, never stagnant.
- 6:27And I think when we start to realize
- 6:29some of these understandings and we start to
- 6:32get, I'm gonna say an epiphany of what
- 6:36does it mean to move without delay?
- 6:38If I had to ask you that question
- 6:40right now, what does it mean to move
- 6:44without delay?
- 6:46What does that mean?
- 6:52I think when people hear this, they get
- 6:58taken off guard because people don't think you
- 7:04actually can do that, but you actually, actually
- 7:10can.
- 7:11So moving without delay, it's a concept about
- 7:14taking immediate intentional action instead of waiting, hesitating,
- 7:19procrastinating, overthinking, all those wonderful things.
- 7:23And it can be expanded with longer, more
- 7:25vivid things for you to do.
- 7:27So things like seizing the moment before it
- 7:30slips away.
- 7:31We've heard that many times.
- 7:32Don't wait for the perfect time.
- 7:34The perfect moment is created when you choose
- 7:38to act.
- 7:40Number two, turn intention into action instantly.
- 7:43Every idea, plan, or insight only gains power
- 7:46when you act on it immediately.
- 7:48Number three, guys, stop letting hesitation steal your
- 7:53progress.
- 7:54Delay allows doubts and distractions to creep in,
- 7:58slowing your forward momentum.
- 8:00Number four, guys, act before fear convinces you
- 8:04to pause.
- 8:05Courage isn't the absence of fear.
- 8:07It's moving through it.
- 8:09And I think that's something a lot of
- 8:10people miss today.
- 8:11They get stuck in fear like, oh my
- 8:13gosh, what am I gonna do?
- 8:15Move through it, right?
- 8:18And I think that's hard for a lot
- 8:19of people, right?
- 8:21Number five, build momentum by starting now, even
- 8:25if you do it imperfectly.
- 8:26Remember I said done is better than perfect.
- 8:29Small early steps compound into major results over
- 8:33time.
- 8:34And I think that's hard for a lot
- 8:36of people to understand that we compound our
- 8:37results over time, but we really, really do.
- 8:40Number six, guys, transform energy into measurable results
- 8:44immediately.
- 8:45Energy doesn't alone account for enough things.
- 8:50Only action converts efforts into true measurable outcomes.
- 8:55And I think that's something important for everyone
- 8:57here that's watching or listening to today or
- 8:59in the future to really get serious about.
- 9:03Number eight, guys, leverage urgency as a tool
- 9:07for progress.
- 9:09Treat every moment as a chance to move
- 9:12closer to your goals.
- 9:14Every moment, not just the moments that you
- 9:16think are convenient for you.
- 9:18Number nine, guys, number nine is important.
- 9:20Move intentionally, not just hurried.
- 9:25Quickness matters, but deliberate focus in the motion
- 9:29area multiplies results.
- 9:31That's where the compounding happens, all right?
- 9:34Avoid the trap of analysis paralysis.
- 9:37We've heard this before, but it is a
- 9:40true thing, guys.
- 9:42So what am I saying?
- 9:44Avoid the trap of analysis paralysis.
- 9:46Thinking endlessly without action is the fastest way
- 9:49to fall behind.
- 9:50You keep thinking and thinking and thinking and
- 9:51thinking.
- 9:52What am I gonna do?
- 9:53What am I gonna do?
- 9:53Gotta start doing, right?
- 9:55So in short, guys, when we think about
- 9:57this, think about moving without delay.
- 10:00It's about turning intention into, well, pure action.
- 10:05Immediately trusting yourself to start before perfect conditions
- 10:10appear and creating momentum that accelerates your daily
- 10:14progress.
- 10:15It's about using timing as leverage, not as
- 10:19excuse.
- 10:19Too many people say, oh my gosh, I
- 10:20don't have enough time, but they're actually being
- 10:23used in your favor.
- 10:25If you learn how to do that, it's
- 10:26like, oh my gosh, there's not enough time
- 10:27in the day.
- 10:28That's a great advantage for you to seize
- 10:30the moment and to do all that you
- 10:32can.
- 10:33If you know this and if you understand
- 10:37it, then I think it will resonate, but
- 10:42it won't click with you the very first
- 10:44time that you hear it.
- 10:45I've gotta be honest with you, it will
- 10:47not click the very first time.
- 10:49And I think that's because we haven't had
- 10:54enough experience.
- 10:55We haven't had enough belief in that area
- 10:57of our life.
- 11:01So that's something that many people won't hear
- 11:06get.
- 11:07And the reason they won't get it is
- 11:09because they'll just think, well, I could do
- 11:11it later.
- 11:12I could do it later.
- 11:13And I get that you can do it
- 11:14later.
- 11:15I get that, right?
- 11:17But anybody can procrastinate.
- 11:21Anybody can make excuses, but it takes a
- 11:26unique individual to seize the moment and move
- 11:29forward, okay?
- 11:33When your vision sharpens, your decisions improve.
- 11:37And I think as we're talking about this
- 11:39whole week about clarity, right?
- 11:41About seeing it right, living it strong, moving
- 11:44without delay.
- 11:46Knowing that our actions will spark opportunity.
- 11:51And knowing that a lot of people get
- 11:54scared because they feel they're not perfect enough
- 11:58to start.
- 11:59You don't have to be perfect to start,
- 12:03but you do have to start to becoming
- 12:07perfect.
- 12:08I think that's a very important one.
- 12:12And a lot of people say to me,
- 12:15John, you don't understand my life or you
- 12:18don't get what I'm going through.
- 12:22Maybe I didn't go through what you've gone
- 12:24through, but I understand a lot of things.
- 12:29And to be able to dial into what
- 12:33you're doing is key.
- 12:35I get it.
- 12:36So a big thing, guys, a real big
- 12:41thing is action uncovers hidden opportunities.
- 12:45Waiting just is a creative mask on the
- 12:49possibilities that only motion will reveal.
- 12:52Forward steps will always amplify our learning and
- 12:55small tiny things we do will trigger exponential
- 13:00effects.
- 13:03Momentum, I said before, fuels our confidence, but
- 13:05why do people not do it?
- 13:06Because they're afraid.
- 13:10Courage is not something you read about.
- 13:13Courage is something you get through execution.
- 13:17The more you execute, the more you do,
- 13:19the more confidence you get.
- 13:21I'll give you an example.
- 13:23If you're studying for a math test, the
- 13:25more problems you do, the more confident you
- 13:29are that you're gonna do well on that
- 13:31test.
- 13:32I think that's a very important thing.
- 13:36Forward motion breaks stagnation.
- 13:42And I think when we can understand that
- 13:46and we can know where we are at
- 13:48the moment, I think that can be the
- 13:50greatest, that can actually be one of the
- 13:53greatest things in our life.
- 13:55But I wanna tell you that you should
- 13:57not get scared about this, okay?
- 14:00And I say that to you because a
- 14:02lot of people I know, very smart, intelligent,
- 14:06they get scared, okay?
- 14:09They don't start immediately, they hesitate.
- 14:11They figure out for a long time all
- 14:15the things that could go wrong.
- 14:18And then that grounds them in the reason
- 14:21that they don't wanna start.
- 14:24And it makes it hard to get them
- 14:26to go, right?
- 14:27Our micro actions compound into big results, but
- 14:30again, they're micro, so they don't happen all
- 14:34at once, right?
- 14:36When we think of failure, which is really
- 14:38not a failure, but people call them failures,
- 14:42they teach us faster than not doing anything.
- 14:47But I think when we can understand things
- 14:49like that and we can understand things like
- 14:50rapid decisions, and we also can understand the
- 14:52fact that courage becomes not just a luxury,
- 15:00but a necessity to be successful.
- 15:04When we take that deliberate step, that deliberate
- 15:08action, right?
- 15:10Our life opens up.
- 15:13It becomes like, if you know how a
- 15:16peacock works, right?
- 15:18A peacock basically unfurls their wings.
- 15:22So does everybody know basically the story, the
- 15:26story of why, I wanna say why and
- 15:30when a peacock, unfurls their feathers?
- 15:37Everybody know the reason?
- 15:39Because there's a reason.
- 15:41Everything in life has a reason.
- 15:43Nature has so many amazing things, okay?
- 15:49The iconic peacock feather.
- 15:52Yes, they're beautiful to watch, okay?
- 15:55Male peacocks display their extravagant tail feathers, primarily
- 15:58to get the other gender's attention.
- 16:02The large, colorful trains covered with eye-like
- 16:06patterns signals a genetic fitness to females.
- 16:11Bright colors, size, symmetry, and number of eyes
- 16:15suggest the male is healthy, strong, and free
- 16:19of any parasite.
- 16:19So that's what the eyes and all the
- 16:21wings are basically in the feathers.
- 16:23Essentially, the tail is a visual advertisement of
- 16:25the quality of the male, much like a
- 16:29resume in the animal world.
- 16:32Peacocks typically unfurl their feathers during mating season,
- 16:35which varies by region, but often occurs in
- 16:38spring or early summer.
- 16:40And the display usually happens when a female
- 16:42is nearby.
- 16:44The male spreads his feathers, shakes them to
- 16:46produce a rustling sound, and positions himself to
- 16:49maximize visual impact.
- 16:51Establishing dominance, yes, sometimes males show their train
- 16:55to intimidate rivals or assert territory.
- 16:58Courtship, the peacock will strut, fan, and vibrate
- 17:02his feathers in combination with calls to attract
- 17:05other females.
- 17:07The feathers are not used for flight, as
- 17:09a lot of people think they are.
- 17:10They're not.
- 17:11They are purely for display.
- 17:13The peacock will often rotate its train in
- 17:16a semicircle and angle it toward the female
- 17:19for the best effect.
- 17:21The eyespots can deceive predators or rivals, adding
- 17:25an extra level of survival advantage.
- 17:29In short, a peacock unfurls its feathers to
- 17:31impress and attract and compete.
- 17:33And it does.
- 17:34So whenever it senses a potential mate or
- 17:37rival nearby.
- 17:41I think a lot of people, you know,
- 17:46when you see a peacock and you see
- 17:50how beautiful it is, most people are like,
- 17:53wow, that's amazing, right?
- 17:55And it has that very euphoric feeling that,
- 17:59wow, I can't believe an animal's able to
- 18:01do that, but they are able to do
- 18:03that.
- 18:03So the most famous is the Indian peafowl.
- 18:08They're also known as the green peafowl, pavo
- 18:12muticus, the Congo peafowl.
- 18:16Males are peacocks, colorful with the long trains.
- 18:20And females are peahens, brown and camouflaged.
- 18:25And juveniles are called peachicks, if you didn't
- 18:28know that.
- 18:29And males can reach up to five feet
- 18:31in length, including their tail feathers.
- 18:34The tail alone can be four to five
- 18:36feet in length.
- 18:37The lifespan of a peacock is 15 to
- 18:4020 years in the wild, sometimes longer in
- 18:43captivity.
- 18:45So the behavior, how it works is feather
- 18:47display.
- 18:47Male peacocks unfurl their tail feathers, as we
- 18:49said, to attract mates.
- 18:52The number, size, symmetry of the eyespots signal
- 18:55fitness to the female.
- 18:57Vocalization, known for loud, high-pitched calls that
- 19:00can carry over long distances, often used to
- 19:03attract mates or warn of predators.
- 19:06Their diet, omnivorous, insects, plants, small reptiles, seeds,
- 19:12and grains.
- 19:13Despite their heavy feathers, peacocks can fly short
- 19:16distances, usually to roost in trees at night.
- 19:21Now, native South Asia, primarily India and Sri
- 19:25Lanka, they're found in parks and estates worldwide
- 19:30due to the ornamental value, the habitat preference
- 19:35is forest edges, open woodlands and farmland with
- 19:39access to water.
- 19:41Interesting fact about peacocks, eyespots.
- 19:43Each feather's eyespot is an optical illusion to
- 19:47attract mates or deter predators.
- 19:50This is kind of cool.
- 19:51Usually it's found in small groups.
- 19:54Males may compete for territory.
- 19:57Cultural significance, symbol of beauty, pride, and immortality
- 20:01in many cultures.
- 20:05And I think when we can, let's say,
- 20:09take a moment to realize all the wonders
- 20:15of a peacock, you have that same potential
- 20:19in your own life, okay?
- 20:22So we know the male is a showstopper.
- 20:24We know that in the peacock world, feathers
- 20:26as a mating signal, the eyespots galore.
- 20:29A mature peacock can have over 200 eyespots
- 20:32on its tail feathers, indicating good health.
- 20:36Peacocks unfurl their trains primarily during mating season,
- 20:39as I said, and the tail can grow
- 20:41from four to five feet long.
- 20:43And again, it's all about the symmetry.
- 20:46Peahens prefer males with symmetrical and well-aligned
- 20:50eyespots, right?
- 20:52And peacocks have loud, shrill calls that can
- 20:55be heard over a mile away to warn
- 20:58or basically attract.
- 21:01So a lot of people, you know, when
- 21:06they hear about a peacock, they are so
- 21:11much in awe of it, but do they
- 21:13really know the facts of the peacock?
- 21:17And it's not just the peacock.
- 21:18It could be other animals.
- 21:20It could be other things in life.
- 21:22Do we take things for the face of
- 21:25value, or do we really try to learn
- 21:28why they're there or what that purpose is?
- 21:32Anything in life could be brought to this
- 21:34attention.
- 21:36And so when we think about, you know,
- 21:38today's, you know, topic, which is a very
- 21:44important one, we're thinking about, you know, the
- 21:48whole concept of moving, right?
- 21:51Moving without any delayed, basically, action.
- 21:57And I think by knowing this, it installs
- 22:02a set of confidence attributes in us.
- 22:08Confidence is something you don't go buy at
- 22:11Amazon.
- 22:12It's not something you just pick up from
- 22:14somebody.
- 22:15Somebody can teach you confidence, but the way
- 22:17they teach you, they've gotta get you to
- 22:20do something so that you develop it.
- 22:24It's not something I can give you to
- 22:25be confident.
- 22:26I can run skills on you, and I
- 22:29can get you to do certain activities that'll
- 22:30get you to build confidence so I can
- 22:33be a guide or mentor to you, but
- 22:35I can't give you confidence, okay?
- 22:37You give it to yourself.
- 22:39I can just guide or direct you to
- 22:41the right pathway you should take so that
- 22:44you could experience confidence.
- 22:45And when you experience it, guess what happens?
- 22:48You get more of it.
- 22:49You get that dopamine, that you're effect in
- 22:52your brain and body, that natural high that
- 22:55makes us wanna do more and more.
- 23:00So moving without delay.
- 23:03If you had to ask yourself today, did
- 23:05you do everything without delay today, or did
- 23:07you make excuses for yourself, or did other
- 23:09people make excuses for yourself?
- 23:11And the bottom line is, ladies and gentlemen,
- 23:13if you have made excuses, or someone else
- 23:15has made excuses for you, you're gonna do
- 23:17this day in and day out, not just
- 23:19today, not just tomorrow.
- 23:22You're gonna say, oh, let me just do
- 23:23it.
- 23:24Let me just do it one more time.
- 23:26And by doing it one more time, I
- 23:28think that's a very important thing for us
- 23:32to realize.
- 23:33There's never just one more time.
- 23:37There's always gonna be another time.
- 23:39Once you agree to have one more time,
- 23:43I think there'll always be another time.
- 23:46So that's a real important thing to understand.
- 23:49So momentum, ladies and gentlemen, is built, not
- 23:53wished for.
- 23:54Just like confidence.
- 23:56It's built, not wished for, not given.
- 24:00You're not born with confidence.
- 24:03We said leaders are basically made, not born.
- 24:08So it's not wished for.
- 24:12And you've learned a lot today on the
- 24:14show, that decisive, deliberate action, small or large,
- 24:22is what truly turns potential to reality.
- 24:25Or what we're saying before is, it really
- 24:27moves the needle.
- 24:29And the concept with that is when we're
- 24:32measuring things with a voltmeter that was analog,
- 24:35the needle would move.
- 24:36Now we have meters that are digital.
- 24:39So the needle doesn't move.
- 24:41We just have the numbers changing and a
- 24:43lot more precise.
- 24:44But saying the needle move was always very
- 24:46attractive, getting people's attention.
- 24:48And it's what turns the potential into true
- 24:51reality.
- 24:52So moving consistently, trusting your choices, and refusing
- 24:58to wait for perfect conditions.
- 25:00We all wanna wait for the perfect conditions.
- 25:02We all wanna wait for the perfect time.
- 25:04There never is gonna be a perfect day,
- 25:07a perfect time.
- 25:09You create that.
- 25:12So my advice to you guys is to
- 25:14start right now.
- 25:17Don't wait, don't procrastinate, don't move without.
- 25:28If you did that, not moving without delay,
- 25:31you're gonna procrastinate.
- 25:33So the key is we wanna move without
- 25:36any delay.
- 25:37And I think once you've done it once
- 25:39and you get accustomed, and you're like, oh,
- 25:41I get this.
- 25:42And I want you to be aware and
- 25:47watch the level of confidence in your mind.
- 25:54And then what I want you to do
- 25:55is I want you to notice the level
- 25:58of clarity in your mind.
- 26:01And then you know what I want you
- 26:01to do?
- 26:02I want you to pay attention to the
- 26:07personal power you have.
- 26:10Is it growing exponentially?
- 26:11Is it shrinking?
- 26:13Or is it staying the same?
- 26:17Everyone I know wants to be a leader.
- 26:21These are people that have a dollar, people
- 26:23that have billions of dollars, more than they
- 26:25can count.
- 26:28Confidence comes to people that practice.
- 26:37And practicing creates this natural drive for us
- 26:43to wanna go forward more.
- 26:45It's like if you ever played a video
- 26:46game, right?
- 26:47You play the video game and you're on
- 26:48the first two screens and you get past
- 26:50the one, you get past.
- 26:51You wanna keep going, keep going, keep going,
- 26:52keep going.
- 26:53Right, maybe the game has like, I don't
- 26:55know, 300 levels or 400 levels.
- 26:57You wanna keep going.
- 27:00You're challenged by the video game.
- 27:03I think that's a very important thing for
- 27:08us to understand is that we understand what
- 27:13that video game is doing to us.
- 27:15It's creating a very unique environment for us,
- 27:19a competitive environment that is pushing us to
- 27:23want to keep going forward.
- 27:27Now, it's a natural thing, just like if
- 27:32you've ever been on a team and you're
- 27:33competing, our body likes to compete.
- 27:36It likes to win games.
- 27:38It likes to win challenges.
- 27:39One person said to me, John, you know,
- 27:41life is nothing more than a bunch of
- 27:44games.
- 27:45And when we learn how to play them,
- 27:49we get a lot of life.
