- 0:02So maybe we should just quit. This operation has cost over fifty million dollars
- 0:07since lunch. US government policy is very clear, never back down, never
- 0:12admit a mistake. That's why we won over half the wars we fought.
- 0:17Four finger Discounted, Welcome to four figure discap, the podcast that certainly belongs
- 0:37on frontline Infantry. This week we hit a review episode hjb F two one.
- 0:40It is gi annoyed grunt. I am dando oh and I'm going sorry.
- 0:45I was distracted. Those too busy drawing a wang on mamat you got
- 0:48to drawing wings. I'm very basic. I'm just very just like line line
- 0:52assume shape at the end. Yeah, two circles and a U shape.
- 0:56Yeah, I don't have the skills of this. What's his name? Seth
- 0:59No, who's from? Yeah? From super Bad? Joona Hill Hill from
- 1:03super Bad. Yeah, apparently serious dicks in that movie. Yeah, apparently
- 1:07it was either Seth's brother or Evan Goldberg, Set's co writer who drew all
- 1:14the dicks. Okay, he's been cantled. Apparently hasn't he? Seth Rog
- 1:19Jenna Hill apparently very controlling relationships and yeah, using therapy speak to justify sort
- 1:25of being a little bit controlling. I don't know. You had a lot
- 1:27of guys saying no, girl was just you know, staying what he likes
- 1:30in relationships. Guys aren't allowed to do that. Women saying no, you're
- 1:34not allowed to do that anyway. M fun fun fact from the Super Bad
- 1:41commentary. Apparently they had to get an adult with a very childlike hand drawing
- 1:47the actual dis because you could not have an actual child drawing those penises or
- 1:52in proximity to those pictures of penises, couldn't just like c G I a
- 1:55small hand or something. This was two thousand and eight. I probably would
- 1:57have looked like the Rockets and Tom Scorpion one of the worst ces you guys
- 2:01ever, so terrible. But apparently they got like a young woman to do
- 2:07it. But I mean, like shit, yeah, over the age of
- 2:09eighteen, but with sort of hands that would pass for that of a young
- 2:13boy. It was a hand model, it was. George was a hand
- 2:15model for a while in Sidefeld and Joey I believe was a hand model as
- 2:19well. David Coveany was a hand model in Zoolander. He was indeed,
- 2:23yeah, yeah, like a hand model. Yeah, yeah, mine neither.
- 2:25I was looking at my hands the other day, and you know they
- 2:28say that the hands are the real indicator of like how old you're getting.
- 2:30I mean, you can do all manner of imagine if you actually done some
- 2:32manual labor as well. Holy oh Jesus, that look like bloody, pretty
- 2:36kuger hands. You know, you can do all mann of stuff to your
- 2:38face and get you know, botox and whatever. But you look at the
- 2:42hands like are they wrinkly? Yeah, old fucker. And yeah, I
- 2:46was look at my hands going, oh my god. So this question was
- 2:50to have in high school'd be like, look at your fingernails, right,
- 2:52and you just did that? Well no, I was sort of showing and
- 2:53I was looking at the back of my head. So you're doing the friends
- 2:57thing where it's like if you do it, like you hold up your hand
- 2:59and you're like looking at it, or do you fold them in on yourself?
- 3:01Look? Is that a friend's thing? Yeah? Yeah, they because
- 3:05I think Chandler actually did it looking at the back of his hand as opposed
- 3:08to folding his folding it. Yeah, I always got that. Yeah,
- 3:10I never do that. Yeah, I think I probably do the that,
- 3:15which means I'm not there's anything wrong with that, Panzy by Very two thousand.
- 3:20Indeed, speaking of this episode, not good. Yeah, you'll notice
- 3:23that we're not talking about GI don't too much. I refuse to call a
- 3:27g I annoyed grunt. I hate the way they do it in the titles
- 3:30when they say it's so clever it was colever the first time or not anymore.
- 3:32Yeah, it's just dope. It's dope. It's because they always write
- 3:36it. They don't write dope in any of the scripts. To this day,
- 3:38it still says annoyd grunt. Okay, well we'll here on a good
- 3:39thing, stick to it, I guess. But this is not a good
- 3:42thing. Need it was? This episode not great? No, can I
- 3:46explain why I didn't like it? Please do it. This is exactly even
- 3:50they're doing this episode here. It's the opposite of what they did last week
- 3:53with the Treos of Horror, with the end segment where it's like compared to
- 3:55the Iraq War, right, where they raised the issue of the Iraqi War
- 4:00and whether it was right or wrong, they didn't do it in a way
- 4:02that was too on the nose. This was just so blunt and to the
- 4:05point where it's like, ah, enough already, yes, you guys brought
- 4:09a sledgehammer to a don't do a satire party. I don't know. Something
- 4:15I was thinking about when watching the episode this episode was I don't know what
- 4:19I dislike more something that brings nothing to the table, or something that brings
- 4:24something kind of ship to the table and things that's brought something great, which
- 4:28is what this episode did. You know you basically brought a pack of gum
- 4:31to the potlug dinner and said, here go get it's his make contribution.
- 4:34It's like, thanks for the pk fucker. Yeah, so the great rocks
- 4:38up with a bag of Dorito's. I feel like Georgia whenever George stands here
- 4:44is like, you know, like he's bringing the packet of ding dongs and
- 4:46the pepsi to the party. You know, people are gonna be coming up
- 4:47and say, I'm glad you brought the pepsi. Yeah, but the thing
- 4:49is like, you know everyone has to bringing sliders, and that's true,
- 4:53it would suck, and this episode kind of sucked. Well, it's just
- 4:57it's it felt really I hate to keep using the word lazy, but it
- 5:01felt lazy and like there wasn't a lot of depth into the Okay, it's
- 5:05the idea of like, okay, let'stgeous, let's still a thing about Americas
- 5:11forever wars and how we gets sort of you know, how America gets bogged
- 5:14into these conflicts and never can find their way out of them recently. Okay,
- 5:18yeah, that's fine, that's actually not a bad idea, but you've
- 5:20got to do a little bit more than that. Then on top of that,
- 5:24it's got the thing where it's explaining jokes, like you know, with
- 5:28there's a bit with Krusty and he's like, oh, well I got to
- 5:30able to get a Foxhead jacket and put on this panda suit. Now I've
- 5:32got to put on panda slippers, oh and Mokey gloves. And then on
- 5:36top of that he's got to say what is he saying, Yeah, I'm
- 5:39I'm a terrible person or something. Yeah, yeah, we're real classic,
- 5:42like, yeah, we get that. You didn't need to explain it.
- 5:45We're not stupid. I'm kind of stupid, but I'm not that stupid.
- 5:47In fact, you make me feel more stupid when you do that kind of
- 5:50shit. Yeah. Yeah, So just a lot of really obvious gags in
- 5:56this and a lot of really sledgehammer subtle satire, and yeah, that's never
- 6:00good combination. It's funny. I get moments like that whenever we're watching shows
- 6:01like we always watched Brain Dead cop shows like White Collar and stuff like that,
- 6:04and it's like, today we're gonna be targeting this guy, and then
- 6:08someone in the team's like, yeah, he's the guy that did this and
- 6:10did this and did this, Like everyone knows this. Why you repeat it?
- 6:13Oh, because the audience doesn't know. You've got to have some degree
- 6:16of exposition. But that what separates the whet from the chaff, and how
- 6:19how cleverly you do that? Yeah, yeah, if you've just got I
- 6:25think one of the terms that you used used in writers' rooms is as you
- 6:29know, Bob. That's what they know, as you know Bob, the
- 6:32ef it rolls around the sun. And I think they actually had that,
- 6:38you know, the movies like The Day After Tomorrow and Independence Day and all
- 6:40that. They're really bad at that and because they've suposally got all these really
- 6:44really smart people, but the audience doesn't know about, you know, the
- 6:48things that they're talking about. So they have someone explaining to like in the
- 6:53in the dafters, which I actually really enjoy I haven't really watched since someone
- 6:56to to watch it. I just remember the wolves looking shit. I always
- 6:59been at the wolves looking tell they're as bad as the Rock and Scorpion King.
- 7:02But this guy's like the head of the U. S meteor Meteorology Bureau
- 7:06and the heroes explaining something like, well, you know this is gonna this
- 7:12is what results in our temperate weather in the US, and the guy says
- 7:15we all know that. It's like, I'm like, we didn't know that.
- 7:19Now we do know that, but at least that we know that this
- 7:21guy's smart. It's always really awkward and wed the hand them of forming like
- 7:27this is the worlds old man Johnson's hound. Well, I'm aware I hand
- 7:30it to you. I have actually found myself saying in realizing what am I
- 7:36looking at you? But not in the room. No, actually that's true.
- 7:45There'll be times I sort of pick up what am I looking at it?
- 7:47Do you ever have conversations with yourself? We'll not conversations, but just
- 7:50like now all the time do you all the time? Yeah? In what
- 7:54way? What do you what do you converse about? Oh? Just yeah,
- 7:57I'm sort of idiot head or out loud, no, out loud,
- 8:00Okay, I love it. I love the sound emoental just sort of.
- 8:05I think it sort of helps me articulate ideas that I might be, Yeah,
- 8:09that I'm floating around upstairs, and if I sort of throw them out
- 8:11into the into the world, it's like that actually didn't sound as nuts as
- 8:15I thought of it, Or if I want to say it, then it's
- 8:18like I'm going to find the best way to articulate this. Yeah, I'm
- 8:20explaining it to myself anyway. I'm like, that's it. I'm an idiot,
- 8:24right, And if I'm reading a book, I'll find I'll get to
- 8:26the end of a page I'm like, I read it, but I didn't
- 8:30read it. I find if I read it something out, I absorb it
- 8:33far easier than I'm just reading it in my head. Let me tell you
- 8:35one of the funniest things that ever happened to me, Well, not funniest,
- 8:39but weirdest and most kind of like, oh, there's a meaning to
- 8:43the world. It started this new book, and for some reason I felt
- 8:46like reading it out loud. I mean, I was enjoying the way the
- 8:48writer was laying out their pros. I'm going to read this out loud.
- 8:52I think it'd sound nuts if I was reading it. After a couple of
- 8:56pages, the writer wrote in the book, how good it is to read
- 9:00something out loud. And I'd never read this beoo before and I had no
- 9:03idea that this was coming. It was like, what the fuck. It's
- 9:07like, it's weird some things that happened. Yeah, but I sometimes now
- 9:11I've got I'm reading Joe Sali's book at the moment and the kids were around.
- 9:16I was like, I can't read when there's this noise in the house.
- 9:16I have to read in silence. And then I read it in silence
- 9:18and I was like, I'm still not reading this. I need to read
- 9:20it out loud. I read it lad a couple of page and I was
- 9:22like, ah, yeah, that's what he was talking about. Yeah,
- 9:26so there's that. And then on top of that, Sorry, just to
- 9:28go back to, you know, things that I sort of had an issue
- 9:31with with this episode, just like I don't know how long ago joined the
- 9:33Navy was probably a fair few seasons ago, but that episode made such an
- 9:39impression and it's like, you're just going to sort of trot out a lot
- 9:43of the same ideas. I know that you know you're going to repeat yourself
- 9:46over time, particularly if you've been going for as long as the sentence as
- 9:48But yeah, this felt just kind of like plus Simpson Tide came even before
- 9:52that one where they joined them when he home was in the Navy, but
- 9:54this was literally the same jokes his hair getting cut off. I was just
- 9:58like, I've seen all this before, Yeah, and more entertainingly. So
- 10:01yeah, that last act of them just invading the springfield, I was like,
- 10:05ah, I get the joke. I got it ten minutes ago,
- 10:09but you just it's just just felt the same joke over and over again.
- 10:11Yeah. Anyway, it was not good. The other thing for me was,
- 10:16so we had Trees of Horror last week, right, so they kind
- 10:18of copied the story of the theme of the whole Iraqi war. There were,
- 10:20but we've had we take episode three, episode five. They both started
- 10:24the exact same way in that. Episode three started with them at the mall,
- 10:28but it was all broken down. There was nothing left. This one
- 10:31here one episode later and it's fine again. My very first note, so
- 10:35the mall is operational again. Okay, literally, the next episode. Yeah
- 10:41what, Yeah, I mean, god, at least make it a different
- 10:45mall, you know, have it be the dirt Mall, would be the
- 10:48market Square of Springfield. I just I just very geelong reference. I think
- 10:52we discussed it on our review we have, but go back and ever listen.
- 10:58I was just I could not believe. I'm like, okay, I'm
- 11:00I know it's been broken up by a treeouse of horror, but still,
- 11:01these are two episodes like Cannon episodes. We say Cannon quotation marks, but
- 11:05Cannon episodes back to back once they both start the exact same way at the
- 11:09mall, except in one episode it's gone and one episode it's thriving. I
- 11:13was like, this is just is it lazyiness? What is it? Is
- 11:16it? No? I just don't care. Yeah either, whatever the reason
- 11:22it's disappointing. Tell you what wasn't disappointing in this episode. Kiefer Sutherland.
- 11:24Yeah, he's always awesome. He is. Indeed, you're going to love
- 11:28the twenty four episode where he played where he plays himself excellent. Yeah,
- 11:31excellent because he's not himself Jack. Yes, indeed, but clearly having a
- 11:37lot of fun with this. I mean Keith's dad. Donald was. Everyone
- 11:41knows Donald Sutherland. He's a pointing guy. He's a pointing guy. Yeah
- 11:46yeah, pointing guy from the end of the Invasion the Bod Yeah yeah,
- 11:48yeah, yes. But he has one of the most lovely voices. Yeah,
- 11:52he melliflous. He's been on The Simpsons. Know who he was?
- 11:56Yeah he was. He exposed the horrible truth about Gibt Springfield. Oh he
- 12:00didn't expose it. He tried to hide it. That's oh correct, Yes,
- 12:03yes, yes, you're you're banned from this museum, you and your
- 12:05children and your children's children for three months. Lovely, lovely voice, fantastic
- 12:13actor, and keeper is much the same. You know. I've got a
- 12:18lot of time for Keith. So I was rewatching, you know, a
- 12:20few eighties movies not long ago, and rewatched The Lost Boys, and it
- 12:24was one of those movies that I was sort of like when it came out.
- 12:26I was a teenage movie snob and I was kind of like this,
- 12:31a bit fleshy and a bit this came out when eighty eighty seven, I
- 12:35think, yeah, I would have been even twenty, right, none,
- 12:39I would have been like seventeen or eighteen. Yeah, uh And just h
- 12:43it's fun. It's pretty good for I rewatched it recently. It's kind of
- 12:50rocks. This is actually I mean yeah, I mean, you're you've become
- 12:52that guy that everyone complains about just for a different decade of films. So
- 12:54you're like, oh, the millennials now they go back to films from twenty
- 12:56years ago, and you know it was actually good Scooby dude, and you're
- 13:00like, you know, it was actually good Lost Boys, So I paid
- 13:05no attention to me, but yeah, rewatching Lost Boys like this actually kind
- 13:09of rocking. And never I've never watched it, haven't it. No,
- 13:13it's kind of good. Yeah, Okay, I've just never been a vampire
- 13:15guy. Okay, this has got vampires in so maybe it's not your thing.
- 13:20But you know, Keifer is the lead Lost Boy and yeah, you
- 13:24look at me, Yeah you're kind of you're pretty fucking cool. You're very
- 13:28charismatic, and yeah, your eyes are just sort of drawn to him,
- 13:31and he's just rocking the best mullet ever in this really cool effidence. Yeah,
- 13:35Keifer Suttling, that guy tends to deliver from on no stand. He's
- 13:37a real like a complete party animal. Really, yeah, I mean the
- 13:41guy likes a drink. Apparently he's kind of like the leam niece and the
- 13:43TV shows for Nicolo and like we see his Facebook, we're gonna watch this
- 13:46show. Well that's the thing. I mean, I remember it being a
- 13:48huge deal when in like we're making a show called twenty four and Keifer Sutherlin's
- 13:54in the lead. Is like, wow, I thought he only did movies.
- 13:56Doing TV that's great. Yeah, I mean, well that's a good
- 13:58get for twenty four. And then he rocked it on. It had the
- 14:01cool novelty niche of it being twenty four hours. Yeah exactly. Yeah,
- 14:03Yeah, I remember like when that first happened, everyone thought it was the
- 14:07coolest thing ever. Sure did. Yeah, but he's done what Designated Survivors
- 14:09since? And rabbit Hole as well? Yeah, we were or two others.
- 14:13We watched both of those. I enjoyed rubber Hole. The thing what
- 14:16Designated Survival was they didn't end it. Okay, It's like I think it
- 14:20got canceled and they never like resolved an issue and they brought it back for
- 14:22like one extra season and this wasn't the same, And yeah, nothing worse
- 14:26than that. If I was running a TV studio or yah TV yeah studio,
- 14:31yeah, or something like that. I would ensure it's like, oh,
- 14:35the show's not rating. But if it's ended on a cliffanger, okay,
- 14:37you get like a ninety minute movie to wrap it up, the special.
- 14:41Yeah, all right, here's the money, go write it, wrap
- 14:43everything up. It puts you in good faith with like the fans and just
- 14:46people going forward us. Yeah. Yeah, I mean one of my I'm
- 14:50sure I've mentioned on the show in the past, but one of my favorite
- 14:52shows in the late nineties was the show called Now and Again, where this
- 14:58everyday family man who'd been killed in in Excellent his consciousness was transferred into the
- 15:03body of this super soldier. They like, we've got the body, but
- 15:05we don't have a spirit and a soul and a brain for it. So
- 15:07we're going to put this guy in it. And how no sounds fiction?
- 15:13Okay, And you know he's got this absolutely you know, Superman superhero body,
- 15:18but he's still got the brain and sensitivity of this middle aged suburbanite who's
- 15:24still in love with his wife and kids. And you know, it's like
- 15:26you can't go over you can't ever interact with them. That's got to ruin
- 15:28the experiments, but they don't know no, no, and he's yeah,
- 15:31they just know he's dead. But who's this guy? Who's this young,
- 15:35you know, buff guy who's trying to sort of vaguely his way into our
- 15:37lives. And it ended on this absolute clifhang, and I'm like, I
- 15:41can't wait to see what happens neck now and again canceled. I'm like,
- 15:45oh, you motherfuckers they went and they never resolved. That sucks. Yeah,
- 15:48yeah, but it was such a good series. Maybe you should write
- 15:50your own finale. I think that's how a lot of things actually, female
- 15:54lawyer having lots of sense. You'll know we are talking about anything, but
- 16:02gee, I know we should probably talk about it. Yeah, but we
- 16:04have point at Keith of someone. But the thing is, I just thought
- 16:07this episode just felt very much of the same same, just not done as
- 16:10good with the whole Homer joining the Navy, but this is the army.
- 16:14They even't referenced that episode in this in this one here and March points out,
- 16:17no, you've joined the Navy before, and things like that. Nothing
- 16:19really I found all that funny in this episode. I'm sure that there were
- 16:23one or two bits and pieces in there. Well, let's get to them.
- 16:26He my favorite. So what were your favorite moments? I enjoyed Squeaky
- 16:34Voice of teens line about the shoe measurers for measuring show. Excuse me,
- 16:38I'm gonna ruin my first tribut question. He's now an only a Squeaky Voice
- 16:41team, he's mister Friedman. I'm like, why did you name him?
- 16:45This guy doesn't need a name? Yeah, because what can you say?
- 16:51The boss? That's a good point, our manager. This is one of
- 16:55those things where it's like, I don't know, Yeah, you'd think there'd
- 16:57be a safety net in the room going, let's not give him a name?
- 17:00Kind when they when they reveal the name of comic book guy, he
- 17:03doesn't he's comic book guy, doesn't know. I don't want to know his
- 17:04name. It makes him human. Then he's not the butt of our jokes
- 17:08anymore. Yeah, but I did like that he was Yeah, that it
- 17:11was measuring shoes and nothing else. Yeah, I thought that's pretty funny.
- 17:17What else I'm sure? Oh? I really enjoyed the most was the Loney
- 17:19Tunes parody, which doesn't really make much sense, but I just just a
- 17:23visual of it. I thought it was quite funny. But but then even
- 17:26then, it's kind of like I suppose for some audiences you're going to have
- 17:30to have that's all folks having come up on the on the monitors. But
- 17:36it's like, I think most of us would have known that it's a kids
- 17:40probably wouldn't have. Well, that's when you know, if you're well,
- 17:44if kids are watching it by themselves, they're going to go, what's that's
- 17:47all? Folks mean, if they're watching it with someone a bit older,
- 17:51they might go, oh, well, cartoons in my day were called looney
- 17:53tunes, and that's how they used to sign off at the end. So
- 17:56back in mind, I learned something for the kids would never say for me.
- 18:02Grew up in the nineties, we didn't have that's all, folks.
- 18:03It was like the closing, like doom, Dundurn, what what are your
- 18:08We've we've got the we've talked about it before that The dog, Sit boy,
- 18:14good dog? Yeah? What are your your favorite ones besides Fox?
- 18:18Is like the iconic one? Yeah? I mean I do like the Grazie
- 18:22films, one that's you do yeah, yeah, And I associated with TV
- 18:26shows. I watch the episode without hearing that at the end. The trist
- 18:32is a try star. I think it's Castle Rock, that's right, Yeah,
- 18:37with the lighthouse and everything. That's great. Uh. David Kelly,
- 18:40who did a lot of law shows like Boston Legal and l A Law.
- 18:42I think he had one where with like his grandma was watching hockey and the
- 18:48puck came out of the screen and hit hit her on the head and like
- 18:51you stinker, Oh you stinker. Yeah that was Duke Carrey show, I
- 18:55reckon. Oh okay, you stinker. I remember. I remember it from
- 18:59a lot of David productions. I'm sure there are others that I like.
- 19:03My man Stephen jknewll maker of I don't he made Magnum p I, but
- 19:07he made a lot of cop shows in the eighties, very prolific. And
- 19:11you see him sort of at his typewriter bashing shit away and then he sort
- 19:14of rips the paper and throws it over his shoulder and it becomes the sea
- 19:17and Stephen J. Can now they take that off in the Simpsons when Simpsons
- 19:19the writer. That's right. Yeah, So yeah, that's one of my
- 19:22favorites. And one I was like that dude looks cool because he was like
- 19:26a middle aged dude. But he had like he sort of looked like the
- 19:30ultimate writer of mid level thrillers for dads. Yeah, he's absolute. So
- 19:37many of these. I can afford my own helicopter. So that's yeah,
- 19:41that's what he looked like. I thought that would be a cool life.
- 19:44A video popped up on social media this week where it's just all those bits
- 19:47back to back to back, and I was like, oh my heart,
- 19:51I need the link. It's just like, you know, ninety seconds long.
- 19:55But the man of Nostolgia for it, hold and ship. Speaking of
- 19:56Stagia, I'm thinking of another thing that I did, Like they sort of
- 20:00paint as a joke or as a as a form of torture that Homer has
- 20:03to go live with Abe Simpson and all the others at the retirement castle.
- 20:07Am I maybe I'm I'm already old, I'm getting older. But I'm like
- 20:11someone bringing soup and someone singing songs where they work, and name it of
- 20:15the songs it was judged duty in the afternoons. Fucking rat, What are
- 20:22you complaining about? Home? This sounds awesome. Pj's all day, pants
- 20:26around my belly? What's you talking about? This is bad? What are
- 20:32so we're just looking at the patrons. I'm going down down to please stop
- 20:37saying what are you talking about? Honestly, God, guys, every single
- 20:41time he doesn't he puts his hands up. Yeah. Do. It's like
- 20:45when you do his Zoidberg and when you do so Yeah. That were my
- 20:51favorite bits. I mean yeah. I also liked when Kiefer Sutherland is sort
- 20:56of driving through the streets of Springfield lugi his line, come and join the
- 21:02fun bunch. Next question you there eating the Beast Trivia time, which means

- 22:12mister Davis, what is your first question for me? Okay, mister Friedman?
- 22:17Was my first question? Yeah? No, no, no, no,
- 22:19but that's my first question. Gone, okay, answer? What's Freeman?
- 22:22Yeah? Well, okay, the Squeaky Voys teen. He is quitting
- 22:26the shoe shop to work where oh, It's jolly something, isn't it.
- 22:30It is Jolly to Marla, Jolly to Marlay. What is that? Tomale
- 22:34is it's looking up? I know Tomale the hot to Marley. It's our
- 22:37lovely Wives and that's correct hot tomorrow. Look look up Jolly to Marley.
- 22:44Is it an actual place? Because look at some one looking up Jolly Tomrley.
- 22:45Springfield Mexican restaurant. Okay, it's in Springfield as well, but Tamaley
- 22:51itself is like a it's only in Springfield. Pretty local reference there. Cool,
- 22:55there's many Springfields in America. But anyway, Indeed, Mexican on one
- 23:00sort of like food that I've never really been huge. I don't like spicy
- 23:03food and I always feel unwell after it. The same with Chinese food.
- 23:06I think it's all the MSG they're put in Chinese food. Yeah, I
- 23:07mean, I don't mind Chinese food, but it's not really my go to.
- 23:11We're more tie now, whereas I will definitely go for Mexican. I
- 23:15love Mexican. Yeah, Mexican graffiti was like the fun place when I was
- 23:18like, everyone goes to Mexican Graffiti. Now it's just like that's like the
- 23:21poor man's Mexican food restaurant now a little bit, yeah, I mean,
- 23:25but it's always been there. It was plus, it was always you know,
- 23:27it was somewhere you went when you were like a group of seventeen year
- 23:30olds ago and have for dinner. Yeah, I'm going to say it's a
- 23:33bunch of crazy crap on the walls, you know. But nowadays and I'll
- 23:38go to Zambrero if I want my takeaway brito, pay twice as much and
- 23:42get half the amount of food. Probably the cat. When we went to
- 23:45Mixing Graffiti about two years ago, Nicolo and I, she got really sick
- 23:48after eat. But I think it was a bit of heat stroke as well,
- 23:51because we went to that amazing things out in bull Lap area where it's
- 23:53like amaze outside. It's near the Mini Gold that's we went there after eating
- 23:56Mexican and we didn't bring a drink bottle and it was hot. That's a
- 24:02bad combo. I don't play Mixing Graffiti for that at all. But I
- 24:07remember like ordering like a brito and it was massive. I love a massive
- 24:10Breta. I mean when Lunar in California a few months ago, our friend
- 24:15Claire, who was hosting us took us to this, Yeah, placed by
- 24:19the side of those Tacorea called my Familia, and you know, it looked
- 24:23kind of a bit shabby. I swear to god, had the best goddamn
- 24:26burrito. It was fantastic, you know. And they kept bringing like little
- 24:30things of guacan chips to the top, no mass so yeah, I mean
- 24:41it was very good to have authentic Californian mix. Yeah, that is awesome.
- 24:44What was on the brito? Oh, godly, it had just about
- 24:47everything else. I mean, you know, had your beans, your lettucey
- 24:51tomato, you pick out a gallo, a bunch of guaking, there's our
- 24:53cream cheese. I think I had chicken. Holy shit, that's a lot
- 24:56of food that was delicious. So good. We're having Tucos for dinner.
- 25:02Yes, one of the things that my kids will actually eat. Holy you
- 25:03eat anything. She doesn't hit that agent where she's Yeah, but alliot,
- 25:07it's just like I eat this, I ain't eat this if it doesn't start
- 25:11with Mick something. He hadn't eating it. Oh, he's turning into yeah,
- 25:14like you said the other day, he's getting a bit sort of stroppy.
- 25:17Yeah, well he's always been like this though, he's been fussy with
- 25:18his food. It's so much like attitude. But he's just like, I
- 25:21don't want this, I'm not hungry. Well, I have nuggets, though,
- 25:25nog you are for a nugget? Kids like nugget nuggets and chips is
- 25:27like the best thing when you're a kid. Mate. Kids love nugs,
- 25:30Yeah, they do, indeed, so adults. But I also love trivia.
- 25:33So hit me with another question. Hit me another one of yours.
- 25:37According to Millhouse, where is a town where cool kids can be found?
- 25:41Oh? That's my next question. Dearborn Michigan. Dearborn Michigan. Correct,
- 25:45So hit me another one of yours. You're still online. The bart statue
- 25:48that largest holding is labeled what I remember she was holding it? Yeah?
- 25:56Hm, No, it's called the Cower Bunker Kids, Cower Bunker Kid.
- 26:00Yeah, you see another gig that doesn't really go anywhere, or a bit
- 26:02that doesn't go anywhere. And sometimes I don't mind those where it's like it's
- 26:06all that about this start very much just killing time while await in the movie.
- 26:08Yeah, it's like, why are you holding statues like this? Why
- 26:11have you? Yeah? This episode wasn't it at all. It didn't make
- 26:15me angry. It was just like, oh, what am I watching here?
- 26:18Yeah? Yeah. People sometimes say it's like, oh, that's ninety
- 26:22minutes of my life I'll never get back, and this was honestly, yeah,
- 26:23twenty something minutes of my life I'll never get back. I'm like,
- 26:26I gotta been eating a nose burrito. Yeah yeah. I final question then,
- 26:30that you haven't stolen? What time did I go to the reservoir?
- 26:33Oh, I've written down a time, but I think it might be something
- 26:37different. Eleven o three? No, what time was it? Eight pm?
- 26:41Eight pm? Okay? When did they say the reason? Oh?
- 26:44Yeah? Like oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeh yeah, that's right.
- 26:47I was trying to be a very sneaky squirrel. There's a bit during
- 26:51the Looney Tunes bit where Homer is in front of like a grandfather clock or
- 26:53something. Ah okay, and I was like, Dannel will never get And
- 27:00then it turns out I didn't even understand what the question that I read there?
- 27:03Have you got time for one more from me? For it? Let's
- 27:06do it? Okay? What is Homer's major malfunction? He cares too much?
- 27:08And I was like, does he eh, I'm pretty sure established it.
- 27:12He's a prick. Yeah, and I guess it's the joke that he
- 27:15doesn't actually care too much, but still don't remind me, what are you
- 27:22talking about? God, we did it in fucking fandom. I didn't realize.
- 27:26By the way, Maurice LaMarsh was a voice on this as well,
- 27:30because he did the previous one, Chess of Horror Awes and Wales, but
- 27:33he was also the voice of the assistant Colonel. Doesn't sound like Maurice LaMarsh.
- 27:37It's usually a very like calculine and awesome Wells kind of voice. But
- 27:41yeah, this was very different anonymous. Yeah. But the original air date
- 27:47of g I Annoyd Grunt was November twelve, two thousand and six. It
- 27:51was written by Daniel Chun and directed by Nancy Kruz. The chalkboar gag we
- 27:55are not all naked under our clothes and the couch gag The Simpsons are on
- 27:59a car wash and they don't have a good time, do they? No,
- 28:02wait forever to it did go for a little while. Yeah, have
- 28:04you ever been in a car wash? But not in a car That would
- 28:08be silly, It would be, wouldn't it. I saw a video prop
- 28:11up on my feed literally this morning. I think it's weird that you asked
- 28:15me this. I was like, two girls get trapped in the car wash,
- 28:18and it's like they clearly jumped out of the car thinking it'd be funny,
- 28:21and they're not trapped. They're jumping in front and like pretending like they're
- 28:25Oh my god, I like, you brought this upon yourself. Yeah,
- 28:27and you are not trying to get out of the situation. You are encouraging
- 28:30it. And you're jumping in front of the soap and it's like six minutes
- 28:33long of them and it's going my coven and bubbles sixt minutes. I was
- 28:37like, oh my god, what is happening to this world? And then
- 28:41you watch g I Doll. Yeah, exactly right. But there was a
- 28:44kicks off at the mall, which has been refurbished all new, and it's
- 28:47all back to the pace of seven days. Yes, exactly right, and
- 28:51and I've just got here. Didn't we just have an intro when it was
- 28:53abandoned? Anyway, Millhouse wants to go see the mannequin. Then a crush
- 29:00on at Banana Republic but thinks it's beautiful as well, which doesn't go anywhere.
- 29:04That's the end of that one. I don't know. I guess it's
- 29:08an exciting incident to get them to the all. But what a weird inciting
- 29:11incident? What? Yeah, just go the mall ah. I mean,
- 29:18I suppose it's fun that you know Millhouses, he's unlucky in love and all
- 29:22this kind of stuff, and yeah, not great. But they say the
- 29:29bullies, and they think this is their chance to take advantage and bully them
- 29:32because their employees, and you can't do anything to the customer. Customers always
- 29:36right. Yeah, but they didn't really think this planned through because there's going
- 29:38to be a time when they're off the clock. Yeah. I don't ask
- 29:41questions. That doesn't make sense, that's question. Don't put logic into these
- 29:45story quote red Little Media one of my favorite sciences. Don't ask questions.
- 29:51Just to consume product, then it can started for the next product. That's
- 29:56the thing. There's going to be many episodes in this season, I reckon
- 29:59where the branding of Who Cares comes into the equation. This is gonna be
- 30:03one of those ones where they probably would have asked a question about this,
- 30:06that and the other Who Cares? We've got a movie to make. They're
- 30:07pulling on a Matt Selmon, they're pulling a salmon. Looks like I pulled
- 30:12a salmon. But mister Friedman, the Squeaky Voice team now has a name.
- 30:17He is their boss. And he says, you know, you can't
- 30:18do anything to the employees, but Mill has has been douchebags. I mean,
- 30:22the bully has been beaten up. So they kind of deserve it.
- 30:23Yes, And Friedman says he leaves for Jolly Tomalley. That's sort of it
- 30:27for funny reasons, like because they pay more and my money my mother needs
- 30:30the money. I was like, oh, yeah, that's not a gag,
- 30:34that's just a line, you know. I mean, we've talked to
- 30:37Little Past about some episodes. They've got joke density. It's like, oh,
- 30:41they keep on coming thick and fast, and these are coming thin and
- 30:45slow. This felt like they went with like the specscript that the base ye
- 30:48all added to it. The I keep mixing up George Meyer and Schwartzwelder where
- 30:52they're talking about it's what's wild. I do. Yeah, I do the
- 30:56ship draft, and then I get to rewrite it and turn it into a
- 30:59fun drafts like you got us One's World the first draft. Yeah, even
- 31:03a Swartzweld first draft was much better than this probably was. Yeah, but
- 31:07he leaves for Jolly Tomiley, as we said, and he's rule for not
- 31:08waiting on the customer's leaves with him. And we see the boys now tied
- 31:11up in the window with the shoelaces. The Army's what do you call these
- 31:15guys? Just the recruiters. Yeah, they entrup the teenagers, idle teens
- 31:21at one o'clock intercepting in three two s up. Guys heard the new rapsd
- 31:26Yo, I don't know what I did more hip hop, krunk or serving
- 31:30my country. You guys hitting on us, No, man, we just
- 31:33want to talk to you about something near and dear to us. But being
- 31:37gay close the Army because of exciting current events. The Army needs new members,
- 31:41new members who want to earn money for college. And see, you're
- 31:45part of the world that tourists never go to. Don the Army have to
- 31:48fight in wars, not wars, global struggles. You guys like globes.
- 31:53Let's go, dude, damn it. Even the dumbest teenagers and the dumbest
- 32:00town and the dumbest state no better than they joined the Army. Yeah,
- 32:04I mean they're obviously playing this up, but I mean, this was a
- 32:07pretty big deal in the in the mid two thousands or early two thousands.
- 32:10It's like, we need to shore up the numbers, and they were trying
- 32:14to appeal to the youth. Yeah, so there was a lot of recruiting
- 32:16going on. Yeah, I mean, of course they're playing it of the
- 32:19comic purposes, like hey, who's into hip hop? But yeah, I
- 32:22mean I think there was a fair bit of trying to be down with the
- 32:25kids. Yeah, they're very anti army the Simpsons, right, Daniel Chinese
- 32:30anyway, whoever wrote this episode, because like being gay close. Yeah,
- 32:35it's like they just really they didn't pull it. They just went crazy,
- 32:37didn't they Eide. It's just so on the nose where it like it wasn't
- 32:40clever. None of this was clever. But I felt like the end of
- 32:44Trios of Horror last week was clever in the way they sort of like linked
- 32:47it to Iraq, right, But this here just felt like, Ah,
- 32:51we get the fucking joke. You know, you don't like the war?
- 32:53Can we move on? I'm watching this show to get away from real world
- 32:57fucking problems. You know. An occasional joke is fine, but a whole
- 33:01episode of this just felt like way too much. If you're gonna, you
- 33:05know, take aim at this kind of target, you know, you come
- 33:08with the King, you better not miss. As they say. Yeah,
- 33:12I was going to ask you, though, what's your thoughts when you walk
- 33:15through like the mail or the mall in town, the westfield, whatever,
- 33:19and you see these people trying to sell ship, It's like do you go
- 33:22turn around? Do you walk around them, or do you alway something?
- 33:24I just get the stare and like I'm fixated on this point right here.
- 33:29Ignore and I'm still terrible. Hey buddy, Hey buddy, You're like,
- 33:31you know they're talking to you. You're just like, nah, I will
- 33:37depending on who they are and how they present and can't today, mate,
- 33:40Sorry you speak it. I've shipped myself. I'm gonna try that next time
- 33:52I have ship myself. It's like you'd sort of start doing a little walls.
- 33:55I'm turtling Prairie, got to go that. But the good thing is
- 34:00when you have a kid, he can news them as excuse I should have
- 34:04pants made, changing nappy or mum's waiting for her with a nappy bag.
- 34:07And then I was like, no worries, mate noes and you return like
- 34:09ten seconds like you said, you go and change nappy. I'm real good
- 34:14at it. The thing is, when I like to them get around them,
- 34:16I try my best to make sure I'll never go into that area off.
- 34:20I don't want to be called out as a liar, particularly you know
- 34:22when they're they've probably got the moral high ground because magnific I see him again.
- 34:27But it's like, hey, do you want to help people with heart
- 34:30disease? Like I guess, but not today. How much have you donated?
- 34:34I'll match what you donated. I'm doing eating my time. That's true.
- 34:39I don't care disease. Yeah, but yeah. So basically, they're
- 34:45trying to recruit the bullies here. It's not working, so they decide to
- 34:47go younger and it cats with them at the school. I did like the
- 34:52fact that they sort of explained this by Skinner setting it up because he's form
- 34:54of sergeant things like that. But even he's just like I no, no,
- 34:58I'm not going there. No. But the kids taking it back the
- 35:00whole sort of like trying to pitch the army to the kids was pretty funny.
- 35:04How many of you like violent video games. How about it? You
- 35:07know us a video game, but it was real. This guy, this
- 35:08guy's a legend. And they showed the video of the various villains getting shot,
- 35:13including Jason Foroyes. Yeah, and a deadly hurricane and the American leaders
- 35:17now in a rock band and the Army. It's everything you like. They
- 35:21encourage them to pre enlist because they're too young to sign up now for America's
- 35:24next unresolvable conflict. I means we're getting revealed that was skinn of the Helps
- 35:28in a month, but then tells margin Homer what Homer, I son joined
- 35:32the Army. Big deal. By the time Bart's eighteen, We're going to
- 35:37control the world. We're China, right. But Lisa, she's now in
- 35:42PJ even this, I'm just like she's eight. I don't know. This
- 35:45episode was just ship. It was shit. We'll get their crusty gag with
- 35:51the baby pans and the monkey mittens classic. Yeah. It's like, yeah,
- 35:54yes, yes, we're out at the Army recruitment center and suicidals are
- 36:00welcome, as it says out the front, and Homs like saying, can
- 36:02you please get rid of Bart? Don't let him and roll he's too young.
- 36:06They say, fine, but they realize I can convince Homer. So
- 36:07basically he's a When I say to him, he's like, oh, I
- 36:10don't want to be gone for too long on a big target like you,
- 36:12you'll be home soonder. Then later you're playing on his masculinity as well,
- 36:15And I was like, oh, sounds like me implying that Marge wears the
- 36:21pants in the family and all that. So it's a way for home and
- 36:22reclaimed his masculinity and stuff like that. Is this a whole lot of I
- 36:30mean, there's interesting ideas, but poorly executed. I mean, I just
- 36:35don't give a ship. I don't want this rubbed in my face. I
- 36:37don't know. I feel like the Simpsons when needs to do this kind of
- 36:42thing, they do it in a far more less on the nose entertaining funny
- 36:46way. In a funny way. Yeah, this wasn't funny anyway. So
- 36:52and another problem was too in Simpson time when he joined the navy, a
- 36:55lot of like the Springfieldians joined with him, right with this one here,
- 36:59we like Cletus and Homer and like a bunch of fucking nobodies. I was
- 37:01like this, what, Yeah, and Rainy a Wolfcastle. Yeah for one
- 37:07line, I mean, and also why yeah, I've enlisted to do movies.
- 37:12I'm like, why why are you doing it this way? Yeah?
- 37:15Why are you going through basic? What's going on this? Yeah? I
- 37:19don't know. Let us basic. So Homer then leaves for the army and
- 37:22he makes Maggie cry, which I'm assuming you would have loved seeing kids cry.
- 37:25I love it, but it's just it was kind of sad. He's
- 37:30just like like, like, so, Homer's doesn't work anymore. He listened
- 37:35to the army. He's just leaving the family behind. What making his kids
- 37:39cry? And yeah, and just the what was the whole thing that he
- 37:46was saying. It's like, oh, you won't yeah, that's right,
- 37:49you won't let petrol get that expensive? Will more than a hundred dollars?
- 37:52Yeah, one hundred cents a gallon or something like that. Yeah. They
- 37:54arrive at Fort Clinton, not that Clinton. And Homer says, you know,
- 38:00what is it not his fault? What's his big major male fas malfunction?
- 38:02Yeah, which is a reference to Full Metal Jacket. What is your
- 38:07major malfunction? That's two movies and one that one isn't it that we discussed
- 38:09before the first half is the first half is fucked up. Yeah, yeah,
- 38:14and the second half is kind of forgettable. It's it's like you just
- 38:15turned it off after the first half. It kind of is. There's this
- 38:17meme going around. You've ever seen that. There's that meme where I don't
- 38:22know if it's from Sinbad or Roaderldorado, but someone's got a whole lot of
- 38:25swords at their throat. No, but fucking a vision it though. Yeah.
- 38:30But the prompt question is is what's your opinion on such and such that
- 38:34gets you like this? And one was like, what's your unpopular movie opinion
- 38:37that gets you like unpopular opinion? Yeah, and you know some people say,
- 38:42oh no, Godfather three is the best of the trilogy or some and
- 38:45someone said, second half a film full metal Jack is better than the first.
- 38:51Everyone's like, Gill is the second half it doesn't end with go Pile
- 38:57blowing his brains out. Yeah, okay, but but yeah, if you
- 39:00have never seen that movie, watch the first half at least. Yeah.
- 39:02I mean it does set the bar really high for like leak, yeah,
- 39:06terrific insults. Yeah, but it is very bleak. Indeed, War as
- 39:12hell. Do you actually see him shoot himself or was it cut away?
- 39:15I think you see Hi shoot himself. Okay, yeah, spoiler for Full
- 39:19Metal Jacket. But speaking of people shooting themselves, I've noticed Twitter lately because
- 39:22of the water that's going on. There's no like restrictions on the videos on
- 39:28Twitter, Like I'm sure through my feet, I'm like, I don't want
- 39:30to see this ship. Yeah, Elon's sucking up like like have you seen
- 39:35videos people getting shot in the water? And I was like, why is
- 39:37this in my feet? I think that's suggested for you. I'm like,
- 39:39why what are you talking about? I think I said to you that I
- 39:44saw, Yeah, and it pertains particularly to the Israel Hamas. At the
- 39:49moment, there was like footage of someone with the hoe yeah, well GoPro
- 39:53on their head and looks like they were using a garden how to try and
- 39:57behead someone. I think the person was already dead and they were like I'm
- 40:00going to come up there with his garden home and they like whacking into this
- 40:01person's neck. Now, the footage was so shitty that it's kind of like
- 40:05I can't tell if this is manufactured, And luckily I can't really it's not.
- 40:08And this person so shit with a gardener that they're not really backing the
- 40:12neck too. Sighting is clearer than this video. True Alien Autopsy has been
- 40:16a cinematography than this. But at the same time, I was like,
- 40:22even if this is not real, the proximity to current events and all this
- 40:28kind of stuff is just tasteless. So, you know, I don't know.
- 40:31We used to be we used to make things in this world, and
- 40:34now Elon Musk is just fucking up social media because the other thing is I
- 40:37mean Twitter used to be, for all its faults, when you had situations
- 40:40like this, it was really a good source of information because people you know,
- 40:46on the ground would be able to say, this is what it's actually
- 40:50like. I go to Twitter. Now, well not so much anymore,
- 40:52but when I want to know information of what's happening right now, I wouldn't
- 40:55go to the news websites. I go to Twitter. Yeah, yeah,
- 40:59it's training, and then you sort of get a little bit more information,
- 41:00yeah, to find out like what's actually happening, Oh this is training.
- 41:04Okay, yeah you're right, but yeah I was. I was just scrolling
- 41:07through last night. It's like a guy with like blows his head off,
- 41:09and I was like, I was like, why did that pop up?
- 41:12Yeah? What is happening? Is happening? All I look up is wrestling
- 41:19pages and Simpson's pages. Why is that suggestion? For me? All I
- 41:22look up is scarcely clad cars players? Exactly right? Am I getting this?
- 41:27Yeah? It doesn't They have no idea what's going on? But yeah,
- 41:30so basically they've completed the basics before that, though, they do their
- 41:32training. So he gets caught snowflake because the reference to Snowball. I believe
- 41:37in Full Mental Jacket there's an African American guy who gets called Snowball as an
- 41:40ironic name anyway, so home and then gets what's the joke here? Where
- 41:45he gets all the benefits of being a douchebag so he has he gets to
- 41:46eat donuts and gets a foot rub because he's no good. Yeah, I've
- 41:51missed the joking that may have been a thing from Full Metal Jacket as well,
- 41:54where Gomer Pile sucks up but everyone else gets punished which makes them hate
- 42:00him, which makes them hate him. Yeah, okay, and it's supposedly
- 42:02you know, meant to like they don't want to, so I'll work harder
- 42:06and try to become good. But yeah, and I think that actually does
- 42:08happen for a while. After they beat the shit out with the soap,
- 42:12he becomes like pretty damn good with his rifle, but then too good with
- 42:15his rifle. That's it takes me back to like football training. And of
- 42:19course if you funked up, you'd have to do it as well. But
- 42:21we should do this thing called forgive me listens. I think it was got
- 42:22an Indian run. I'm not sure why it was called this. Why it
- 42:25was called Indian run, Chinese whispers? Why the Chinese whispers? Who knows?
- 42:29But you would be in a single file Indian file. It was Indian
- 42:31file was go single file and the person at the front you'd be jogging and
- 42:36the person at the back had to sprint to the front a right and go
- 42:38all the way around the level. But if you did it too slow,
- 42:40they've got right ten more laps then, so then just like we're you gonna
- 42:45get even slower now. Yeah, but then everyone hates you because you're the
- 42:46reasons. It's like, ah, man, some good times. I mean,
- 42:51I love playing football, but I hated the training. I'm telling you,
- 42:54what's that Beckham documentary. You'd find it kind of interesting. I know
- 42:57you're saying, Okay, Netflix me what to do, But it's fine.
- 43:01I'm going to check out first. You've got me converted. I said,
- 43:05we have to check out this ninety day Fiance because guy never fucking shuts up
- 43:08about it. So have you not yet? Where is it? Where is
- 43:14it? It's on Fox Stone, you'll find it on like there's TLC all
- 43:17Live Style one of those channels. Okay, we only have the Basic and
- 43:22Sport. Okay, you may not have it. Actually, I tried to
- 43:23call up in cancer that. I'm like, I want to cancel. Like
- 43:25you can have movies for free. I'm like, ahh, we've got other
- 43:30streaming. Like would you like the kids channels for free too? I was
- 43:32like fine, So I'm like now I'm getting like I'm paying thirty eight dollars
- 43:40a month and I'm getting the sport, the movies, the kids channels,
- 43:44and like the entertainment package. Okay, which seems like a good deal.
- 43:46That does seem like a pretty good deal. Check the entertainment package. Okay,
- 43:50when we're done here, I'll come out to your TV ninety Day Fiance.
- 43:52Yes, but you may look, God, I've got even less respect
- 43:55for going anyway. So we completed the basic training because I wanted to skip
- 44:00all that. You complete the basic training, that's time for your assignment,
- 44:04and our base commander will now give you your assignments. Okay, listen up
- 44:07man, you've got it. Awesome voice, Well thank you? Can you
- 44:12say? Side effects may include drowsiness and loss of appetite. Side effects may
- 44:15include drowsiness and loss of appetite. Hmmm, sounded better in my head.
- 44:20Now we've graded your aptitude tests and assignes you specialities to match your skills.
- 44:25Frontline infantry, frontline infantry, frontline infantry, front line infantry. I joined
- 44:30to make recruitment films. Well you know where you're gonna get good footage,
- 44:34don't you tell me? Frontline infantry. It reminded me of bombardma though front
- 44:39line infantry, front line infatry. Bombobman, bombobman. Yeah, the same
- 44:44kind of gag. It's repeating it. But I did like that because everyone
- 44:46los keith someone's voice. They do. Yeah, So just pointing it out
- 44:50there, and Homer didn't get an assignment, needed a cletus gets an appearance
- 44:53here we got the side Shine Malley, Cletus Candy going on in the a
- 44:57man Dan doing the count in the thing. Thank you Dan, You're doing
- 44:59the lord's work there to pace your own group. Yeah, Sicho melg gets
- 45:01an appeance. I' don't sure whef he speaks, but no, he speaks.
- 45:05He just speaks. Okay, he speaks. I can't remember. I
- 45:07try to drown it out. But because he've got such low test scores,
- 45:10that's a nod way to stay handy yet medals. Uh, they are now
- 45:14going to be basically the enemy that the Patsy's in the war games. And
- 45:17then it just gets really weird this episode. But they genuinely want to kill
- 45:22them. Why well they get they Yeah, I mean this is something you
- 45:28have a little you have to throw a little character development. You have to
- 45:30you know, make Keith a Sutherlands guy. Maybe he's on the verge of
- 45:34being bundled out, and maybe he's an old soldier who's like, I need
- 45:37to show I still got teeth. You know, I'm gonna win these war
- 45:39games. And you know, he gets so obsessed and that's you know,
- 45:42he gets fixated on Homer and Homer's you know, fucking up all through basic
- 45:45and he's like, oh, I can't stand this going. Oh I mean
- 45:47I get a chance to hunt him down and kill him, and ye know,
- 45:50he sort of loses track between, you know, his grasp on reality
- 45:53gets a little loose. I get that the joke. He's like, the
- 45:58Army's crazy, that's there. They're joke. But it's like, but this
- 46:00is even too far from the army. It's like, it's just you've gone
- 46:02too far with this parody. Yeah, and that's pretty tough when the army's
- 46:07going too far in real life. Yeah. So yeah, So they meet
- 46:10with the family and they the family come to visit them first before the war
- 46:15games. How he explains that we're going to be the enemy. We see
- 46:16them payting death to Homer on the bomb and the notepad new Dad, Lenny
- 46:22or Carl. He doesn't care how he's going to die anyway. Put outside
- 46:25for the war games, and Homer shoots off the flares. So it's nighttime.
- 46:29They've got the night vision goggles on, so it makes them more Goro
- 46:31is too bright because you shoot the flares off because it's Chinese New Year.
- 46:35They then raced off to the city and the guy orders them to invade the
- 46:38American city. We can't invade in American city with the authorization. It's like,
- 46:43ah, got it, Okay, this is where we're going. So
- 46:47he has the National Broccoli Day Proclamation. That's right. I don't know,
- 46:52maybe you'd have to be a real student of American foreign policy to say,
- 46:57oh they have have they actually smuggled like powers into into very innocuous looking things?
- 47:05Know? This is it. This is a possible episode. Man,
- 47:07this is honestly coming to your fun reviewers. It's like the army entered Springfield
- 47:12and he's got like his little two icee who I guess was the voice of
- 47:15Marus LaMarsh basically saying the whole time saying nah, no, we don't need
- 47:17to do this, don't be doing this. What are we doing this for?
- 47:20And there's kind of like we never stand down. We're going to be
- 47:22killing them, and it's like what Lenny gets run over by a tank and
- 47:25it's dead. Homer inclares to hiding and the sewers and the tech runs over
- 47:29his fingers and it doesn't matter. They're still there. Fuck this episode,
- 47:32man, We're almost there. Maa is doingku. My dad loves doing my
- 47:38Mum's very big on them. Yeah, I think the feeing is something I
- 47:40should get in. That's I feel like you're on the You're on the verge
- 47:44of like the age where it's like next is in the gray matter. Yeah,
- 47:47how by the next newspaper to I finish that cross world in the previous
- 47:51issue. That's great. But yeah, so he's drawing wangs on the older
- 47:54numbers and things like that, and Marmaduke and Mama Duke. You're not Mama
- 47:59Duke only the numbers. Yes, but let me suggest it because Lenny's okay,
- 48:02now to be whatever by take? Yeah, did did that happened first?
- 48:06Or now the tank was first? And then it was the scene?
- 48:07No, nothing matters. I concur with this episode. What you're doing mouth
- 48:19drawing a wang on my my duke? Heck no, I'm challenging myself at
- 48:22one of these Sudoku games with a Japanese puzzle in which no newmal can be
- 48:28repeated in a row, column a box. That's how it works. I
- 48:31was just drawing wangs on the numbers. Well, you gotta hid us from
- 48:37the army, the Salvation Army. You got it, that that army the
- 48:40wood from stripes. Okay, thinks, how can I ever repair you?
- 48:49Hey, some things mean more to meat and money, like a whole lot
- 48:53of money. Why did you just say that? Sounds fragmant. I get
- 48:58the long story. Then they fire the guns into the cell to try and
- 49:00genuinely kill them. I was like, why I don't I don't get the
- 49:06I don't get your point. Like I know that you're trying to say the
- 49:07war is bad, army is useless and shit, but it's like, this
- 49:10is just silly. Now. Yeah, I mean you could have had this
- 49:14if you're built up to, you know, the military guys sort of going
- 49:16off the rails and everyone's being a bit shocked by that. It was just
- 49:20so they could have the whole line of stacked he wants to be stacked naked
- 49:23and have a hillbilly girl laughing at you, because that was the whole those
- 49:27photos that came out in like two thousand and it's three or four of the
- 49:29guys that were all you have to reference this, we have to it's like,
- 49:32ah, fuck off. You know. Even by then, though this
- 49:37came out in two thousand and six, the end of two thousand and six,
- 49:39even that was like not old news, but it'd been out for like
- 49:43three years by now. That was like a three year old scandal by this
- 49:45point. Okay, let's get moving. And you're watching it in twenty twenty
- 49:51three and makes no sense whatever. So they're firing at them in the cellar.
- 49:59The army this looking for Homer, but Homer is now at home because
- 50:01you know, the one place they didn't look for him, at his house
- 50:05because the army stupid home is now in bed with them. Then they see
- 50:08the predator drone helicopter which flies into the window, sees Homer and chases him
- 50:13around like a cartoon. I've got here, and I hate it when shows
- 50:17do this and it shouldn't and it's nerdy and geeking. But how are they
- 50:22watching the room from the outside on their screens? Okay, what do you
- 50:25mean? Their drone was the helicopter inside the room it exploded, But when
- 50:30on their screen, we saw the room explode from the outside and it panned
- 50:34out and they were watching that on their screen. Oh okay, yeah,
- 50:37no, yeah, no, no, that's god fucking hell man, Oh
- 50:44god, just stupid. Yeah, we're almost stupidity. But there's decide to
- 50:50round up all the ball and fat guys in Springfield, and we get a
- 50:52Charmers and Skinner moment. The two I see is trying to explain this is
- 50:57cost us have a fifty million dollars since lunch. We never we must stop
- 51:00this and I have never met. You've got to made a mistake. Keep
- 51:02going, Keep going. Homer is now hiding out the retirement castle. I
- 51:07did like that we finally got the name for the can I come to lady?
- 51:09Her name is Dorothy. That's rights felt so sorry for her. That's
- 51:15one of the saddest moments in Simpsons because she's so lonely old woman. But
- 51:21it's nice to know that. Not so much that we got her name,
- 51:22but we know now that she has visits. Yes, yes, soupe soup.
- 51:27Marge uses her phone tree to organize a meeting at the reservoir at eight
- 51:30pm. This is basically love the This is social media now correct, this
- 51:36is the Facebook. Facebook. But they're watering down the alcohol or putting alcohol
- 51:40in the water. Is that what they're doing. Yes, So that's why
- 51:44Mode tries to hide the fact that he did that. And he's like,
- 51:45oh no, this is the first time I've done it, and overplays the
- 51:49joke about his shifty eyes. You're trying to do rules of rule of threes
- 51:54here, but it's just not working. I think, is this where Mel
- 52:00talks Will the army get drunk and they wake up to them standing over them?
- 52:05That's what I saw. But I think when they're all pouring liquor into
- 52:07the into the reservoir, that's when side shod side chow Mel says something.
- 52:14Yeah, I was tuning out with this point. I just didn't care.
- 52:16But they wake up and they said, you know, discuss the terms of
- 52:20the surrender. They say, no, not. I hope you've learned that
- 52:22an occupying foreign force can never defeat a determined local populace, among the many
- 52:28things we learned in Vietnam motivate Lisa the eight year old, When are you
- 52:32going to learn that occupying foreign force never defeats determined local populace. It's like,
- 52:37oh, fuck off now. Now. One would think that in the
- 52:43turbulent times that we're currently in in uh, you know, October twenty twenty
- 52:46three, that this may still have some relevance, But this episode was just
- 52:52so blad that we're kind of like, no, look, there's a message
- 52:58here. If handled correctly, could have been very effective. Yes, and
- 53:00it's kind of unfortunately Evergreen, you botched it, you had dropped the ball.
- 53:06Yeah, this was a shit episode. So they eventually signed the surrender
- 53:09note and Homer has to unfortunately still fulfill his duty and he is now just
- 53:15a recruiter and it's not even funny. Yeah, and he's trying to recruit
- 53:17people in the most hamfested way possible. He's having no luck. And that's
- 53:22the end of the episode. Except over the final credits you have Keifer Suddland
- 53:24saying variations on frontline infantry and occasionally something else. We love you, Keifer.
- 53:31We hope you, We hope your kids were entertained by your presence in
- 53:36this episode. Terrible, not a great episode. No, this is the
- 53:40top five of all time shitness for me. Yeah, this said make me
- 53:44as angry as like Code Pennan's day well to quoite a lot of parents everywhere.
- 53:49I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed. Yeah. I just felt they
- 53:52got to the end of this and went, ah, man, I don't
- 53:53feel like Season eighteen has been that bad so far. No, No,
- 53:57I think we were a little concerned coming in. But if it's more like
- 54:00this. Oh, by, we're going to be earning our earning our money.
- 54:06What do we learn Bomber? All right, did you earn anything from
- 54:07this episode? The day? Oh my gosh, let me find let me
- 54:13go through my notes here that that device at the shoe place is actually for
- 54:17measuring shoes and not your penis. Have you ever measured penis? Yeah?
- 54:21Oh yeah, not recently. What was the first time you reckon? You
- 54:25measured it? I reckon? I would have been thirteen. I was probably
- 54:28about fourteen. Yeah, it's just like it's important to know how long it
- 54:31is. Yeah, do I measure up? And do you wound up?
- 54:39Or do you round down? We round up? Always round up? What
- 54:42the fuck making a position to round down? Forward? Your names will be
- 54:49all right? It is time for the Guy Davis New names anything? No,
- 54:52fuck no, the time for the Guy Davis New Name Championship. Well
- 54:59give it. I just feel they put such a little effort into this.
- 55:00I'm putting little effort into the new names. Push record. It's right on
- 55:06me and that's pretty much. And it's rod of me this episode. How
- 55:07bad it was when it was when I finished watching it, I was like,
- 55:12oh that wasn't great. Reviewing it, we found that, haven't we
- 55:15Sometimes it's like, yeah, that was okay to watch, and then on
- 55:20a deeper dig or deeper dive was like, oh no, terrible. Now
- 55:22we had an issue with the new names. So we've got a message from
- 55:24a man, Heath Applebee. We missed up. We basically messed up the
- 55:27entire fucking talities. Okay, what happened. Yeah, we've been slacked with
- 55:30the maths around. So Phil Hawkins was in first position on five points,
- 55:36and Kyle Muldoon was in second position. So Heath that you're now on three
- 55:38points. So basically hit me with your your three chet one for this week.
- 55:42Oh okay, So we've sorted it out. So Philip J. Hawkins
- 55:44is in first position and Kyl Muldoon is in second. Okay, then well
- 55:46one point goes to the expandables. Well the expandables that puts Kyl Muldon clever
- 55:53Kyle on four points. Well, Uncle Carle, expendables four is apparently out
- 55:58in cinemas right now, and Terrible really nears. Oh that's a shame.
- 56:02They were never any good. They were never good movies. Yeah, that
- 56:06it was a novelty wasn't it. By the way, he's on five points
- 56:07not get the maths. So he's now equal first on five points with Philip
- 56:13ja Hawgens. Two points goes to Homer's Heroes. Homer's heroes, that is
- 56:19Glenn Gomez. That's his first points for this for this year this season.
- 56:22Is good on you? Two points? Yeah. So currently right now we've
- 56:25got Philip Hawkins and Kyle mauldoon both on five points in first position. Okay,
- 56:30three points goes to full not full full metal jacket. I have to
- 56:35blow out. That would be always that it again. Luke McKay, he's
- 56:37now in first Oh gosh, he's climate well, it's out of nowhere.
- 56:43It's like watching NASCAR, it really is, because you've got three points last
- 56:46week and he got the three points this week as well. Nice one,
- 56:50nice one, well played, Luke mccas lut McKay is now in first position
- 56:52on six points. We have Philip J. Hawkens and KYL muldoon equal second
- 56:57on five. Alright, it is now time for the mail bag for g
- 57:06I don't I hope these questions are better than this episode. I bet they
- 57:08are. They always are. I reckon Andrew JP's asked the question. I
- 57:12haven't even looked yet, but I'm gonna say yes. I'm also gonna say
- 57:15yes and JP the first person Top Contributor contributor, what is your favorite military
- 57:20theme, TV show, movie, and or video game? Oh gosh,
- 57:23I'm not really a video game guy. I say Major Pain was a huge
- 57:28hit in the Dando household when I was a kid, Medjorr Peen. Yeah,
- 57:30your titir out of his mouth and start beating him, starring Demon Wie.
- 57:37What movies are like? When it was to war movies, I'm like
- 57:42The Deer Hunter quite a lot. That was a very good one and born
- 57:45on the fourth of July. My dad was big on the the Nicholas Cage
- 57:50War film. What was it? Nicholas started with w wind talking wind Talkers.
- 57:54Yeah, he loved that and he loved the was Mel gibsone. We
- 57:58Were sold We Were Soldiers that was the other one. Love that movie as
- 58:00well. Yeah, that's what I always one of us, see, we
- 58:02were soldiers. I think of my dad because I'll be born in the VHS
- 58:06did even in the Blu Ray for his birthdays over the years. Video games.
- 58:09I was never a video game kid either. I know, call of
- 58:12duty and that kind of thing. But I just I was never any good.
- 58:15Yeah, I mean that. I think that's the the go to when
- 58:17people talk about war games is like call of Beauty. I mean, like
- 58:21God please, codes cotton chips, you know, just like there are certain
- 58:28titles of default when you're talking about genres of games, when like Grand Theft
- 58:30Auto is the I guess the driving game GTA Please. Clearly I'm not a
- 58:36game, but cod it seems to be the one that's like if you go
- 58:42around shooting people, that's the one you play. Yep, So Joshua Stephen
- 58:45Olivia Olivia Olivier. Best line you've heard from a military recruiter. We don't
- 58:52get them much in the show. I feel like it's it's more of a
- 58:52patriotic thing in America where I can't I can't really remember anytime ever seeing an
- 58:58army recruiter. I think I've seen a few, and I think they've taken
- 59:02one look at me and I realized this guy's aged out and also sized out.
- 59:09You know, this guy's human target, human shield operation, human shield
- 59:13for guy Davis. No. I yeah, I've never really been trying to
- 59:17be persuaded to join the military. Sorry, I can't help you with that
- 59:22one. He also asked, if you were hiding from the military, who
- 59:23would help hide you but then immediately sell you out? Oh, Mitch,
- 59:32oh god, it's Margaret Mary. Yeah. Probably he's down there. He's
- 59:39down there being woke. Harrison McClure, what are your memories of the war
- 59:44on Tara nine to eleven? That's gonna get bleak. I just remember that.
- 59:47I remember my mum's screaming like wow, not like terrified, but it's
- 59:51like what what and waking up and she's like plans ful into the building.
- 59:53I was like, oh cool, and we're back to bed, like it
- 59:55didn't didn't sink in. I'm sure I've told this story many times, but
- 1:00:00I was working the late shift at the newspaper in Geelong on the night of
- 1:00:05September eleventh. We are or when it happened, you know, and we're
- 1:00:09hearing like, shit, apparently a plane flew into the World Trade Center.
- 1:00:14What the fuck? Wow? That's oh shit, that's pretty ancing. And
- 1:00:15now I sort of we start, you know, confirming that then well this
- 1:00:20is going to be news. Okay, we better get than it's like and
- 1:00:22it's hard to get global news on like in real time. Oh yeah,
- 1:00:25I mean the Internet was a thing, but it was still you know,
- 1:00:30forums, yeah, gathering yeah yeah. And then someone else said, hey,
- 1:00:35a plane is flowing into the World Trade c and he's like yeah,
- 1:00:37yeah, we know. It's like no, no, the the other one.
- 1:00:38It's like, oh yeah. That was that when it for you realized,
- 1:00:43oh, this is premeditated. Yeah. I mean, once we got
- 1:00:45actual sort of confirmation on that, and that's all everybody was hearing. It's
- 1:00:52all right, yep, and you know the Pentagon got attacked. Yeah yeah,
- 1:00:54and then you hear about I think they're going for the Pentagon as well
- 1:00:58as like holy fuck, and then they were going to get the house.
- 1:01:00Yeah. So this was about nine o'clock I think maybe Australia something no ten,
- 1:01:06but yeah, we were approaching the end of the shift. I was
- 1:01:08married at I'm here all night. I don't know if you've been watching the
- 1:01:14news, but this is what's happening. And yeah, we were there till
- 1:01:16I was there till dawn really, you know, because we were yeah,
- 1:01:21it's sort of just well, you guys at that point, still like newspapers
- 1:01:23were the source of news. They were essentially. I mean I don't think
- 1:01:25we had much of an online presence at all. I mean maybe it was
- 1:01:29like we should also have like a website thing is, but no, we
- 1:01:31had to basically rebuild the whole paper from scratch. I remember like the search
- 1:01:38trying to find the survivors being like major news. You know, maybe that
- 1:01:43was a front page of the Yaddy Away with the herald son of like a
- 1:01:45guy being rescued, like he had like like dust all over him. He
- 1:01:50looked like a zombie. Oh absolutely, yeah. Yeah. I mean for
- 1:01:53the next week to a fortnight, I mean that was all we covered,
- 1:01:57and it got to the point, w ee, everyone realized there's no more
- 1:01:59survivors. Yeah, who makes that call? He's just like it's done.
- 1:02:04That's a hard quarter mate. It's yeah, it's pretty tough. So yeah,
- 1:02:07this was it was a it's a tough time. David Mott. Final
- 1:02:10question, whether it be someone from the army charity or other, have you
- 1:02:13ever had someone be really pushy while you were out shopping? You we if
- 1:02:16we just talked about sometimes they are really really pushy. But I always just
- 1:02:20say I've ever shipped myself or the kids a shit themselves I'm glad no one
- 1:02:23questions it. I'm kind of going to see the people are goin to shit
- 1:02:25myself. What are you gonna do about it? Yeah? I tend to
- 1:02:29be a little more well. I tend not to say I shut myself,
- 1:02:30but I'll not today, mate, Sorry, and then move on. But
- 1:02:35then at oh, that's the people that came to the front door to come
- 1:02:38in and change your shower head the other day. So about two years ago,
- 1:02:43right, I don't know what this scheme is. Apparently it's a government
- 1:02:45scheme. And this guy at the front door comes to dawn and is like,
- 1:02:47are we here to replace your shower heads but more water efficient head?
- 1:02:51And I was like, Nichola, do you know about this? She was
- 1:02:52like maybe, yeah, it's the thing I had it done one so yeah,
- 1:02:57he came in and changed your head and it was fine. But it's
- 1:02:59like whatever, right, And like about a month ago, maybe even last
- 1:03:01maybe go two weeks ago, this woman was at the door and she was
- 1:03:05like knocking and I'm in here editing. I'm just like, I'm the NaN's
- 1:03:07in the door. Whatever. If it's a parcel just leaving at the door,
- 1:03:08then knock, knock, knock, and no. Shit. Like three
- 1:03:10minutes goes by and she's not no. A knock and I'm like, what
- 1:03:13is this. I great there. She was like, I'm here to change
- 1:03:15your shower head. I was like no, no, no, no thanks.
- 1:03:16She was like no, no, it's been two years man to change
- 1:03:19it. I'm like, no, it's fine, it still works. And
- 1:03:21she's like it's free. I'm like, I don't care. Sure, I'm
- 1:03:23in a work meetings. She's like, okay, when's the work meeting finished.
- 1:03:27I'm like I don't know. I'm like I just I don't want to
- 1:03:29thank you. She was like, I'll come back at four thirty. I'm
- 1:03:30like, no, don't no thanks, but thanks anyone. No, And
- 1:03:34I close the door right and then I go to pick up the kids from
- 1:03:37daycare. Come back and they're at the front door. This time she's with
- 1:03:40a guy and then and I'm just like he's like, we're here to change
- 1:03:44the shower head. And I was like, no, no, my wife
- 1:03:45and I don't want it. It's fine. He's like, I know,
- 1:03:47it's for free. I was like, well, I don't want it though,
- 1:03:51and she was like, well, you said come back, and I
- 1:03:52did not say come back. And forth. Thirty were coming back and forth.
- 1:03:53Third I said I don't want you to come back. At four thirds,
- 1:03:55I was getting like pushed. I told you I didn't want to.
- 1:03:59He goes, well, so can we just come in and take a photo
- 1:04:01of the one you come I'm like, no, you're not coming in my
- 1:04:02house. He goes, we just need one photo. I'm like, you're
- 1:04:04not coming in my house. Get off my fucking driveway right now. And
- 1:04:09they got into like a Yondo Excel and to drive away, and I'm like,
- 1:04:11who are these people? I have no idea. That's so weird.
- 1:04:14It was fucking when he was just like, can I just come in and
- 1:04:15take a photo of your shower? I'm like, get the fuck off my
- 1:04:17driveway now before I do actually call the police. And the kids like in
- 1:04:21the car going who's that daddy? Who is that? Like honestly, like
- 1:04:25five minutes old, I'm trying to push it. I was like, you
- 1:04:27had back the fuck off now or I actually will call the police. And
- 1:04:30I was straight into like this honestly guy like hereon Excel and they drove off
- 1:04:31in the corner and I'm like, were they actually people? Like? This
- 1:04:35is the thing with even in a society now where, like you said,
- 1:04:39you've had that done before in the past. If someone came to your front
- 1:04:41door with a box in their hand, in the clipboard and then like a
- 1:04:43little emblem on the show, you just assume it's the same people. How
- 1:04:46am I supposed to know that they could be fucking people just coming into my
- 1:04:49house to scope out the joint exactly right. I was like, basically when
- 1:04:54he's like, I'm just coming in, He's like, you started walking towards
- 1:04:56the door. You are not coming in my house. I was like that
- 1:04:59that was like an excellent for me. Absolutely, yeah, Oh my god,
- 1:05:01that's terrible. Yeah, I know. I was just have you ever
- 1:05:03had these people come to your house and change the shower head? Say no,
- 1:05:06I think I did it ages ago, and after this I'm not doing
- 1:05:10it. No, thank you. But you were going to say if someone
- 1:05:13was being pushy, you never say you shit yourself. You just no,
- 1:05:15no, I mean, I don't want this to sound and you don't want
- 1:05:18to see them later on in the day, and you're like the guy himself,
- 1:05:21Yeah, there's your ass. I don't want to stand anyway misodgymanistic.
- 1:05:27But I've had more than one instance when it's been a younger woman. Yeah,
- 1:05:34and you're you're not swimming to me. No, no, And they
- 1:05:38will tend to have the thing that's like this guy's gonna want to talk to
- 1:05:41me, and I've been like, I really don't. I mean, I've
- 1:05:46just the I know, I know what you're up, I know what you're
- 1:05:50up to you it's I know what you're trying to sell or trying to push
- 1:05:54on me. I'm really not interested. But look, have a great day.
- 1:05:59I try it is. That's not a great job. That's me.
- 1:06:00When like the strippers approched me at the strip club, I'm like, I
- 1:06:03know what you're trying to do. I know you've owned a buck, but
- 1:06:05I'm not your Patsy. Go to that. See that guy go to him?
- 1:06:13Hey come on here. Yeah he was pointing at me when he did
- 1:06:15that. Exactly right. Okay, Well that is our review of Gee I'd
- 1:06:19annoyed, grunting, and thank god we are through that one. Hope you
- 1:06:21guys, I hope you guys enjoyed us reviewing it, because I don't know.
- 1:06:25This is one of those episodes where I high recommend he never gone back
- 1:06:28and revisiting ever, I will never revisit this episode ever in my life,
- 1:06:30nor will I No, not at all. The next episode, though,
- 1:06:32is cold Moan and Alisa, so mo and a Lisa, So maybe maybe
- 1:06:41a Moan a Lisa story could be. I wouldn't put it past the obvious,
- 1:06:46the very subtle skills of the Simpsons writers at the stage. I don't
- 1:06:50mind the mo episode, so we shall see. Yes, we're not gonna
- 1:06:56automatically prejudge it. Yes, if you haven't checked out my episode of this
- 1:07:00actually this week at elliot Joy O'Neil on you said hello to him. Indeed,
- 1:07:02as I was leaving the other day we talked about the most gruesome debts
- 1:07:04and Treehouse of Horror. Will AfOR do a Simpsons Halloween version of that?
- 1:07:09Maybe next week the week after we'll pick a topic. Yes, yes we
- 1:07:13can't, all right, but yeah, make sure you check it. You've
- 1:07:14got two episodes of four Finger Discat in your ears every single week. Now.
- 1:07:16If you're enjoying everything we do here at four Finger Discat and you have
- 1:07:19not yet joined the family on page, we'd really appreciate you do so,
- 1:07:23even for a little It's just two dollary dues you can do it for a
- 1:07:25single dollar do if you want to, but two dollar dues per month really
- 1:07:28helps us grow this network and helps keep the lights on. If you do
- 1:07:30it for two dollar dues, that's one for dandel one for me, exactly
- 1:07:32right. And actually no, it'll probably be like sixty cents for me,
- 1:07:35a dollar forty. It's not even that. It's we have like a sixty
- 1:07:40forty split, now do it? Yes, well that sounds fair, which
- 1:07:43isn't too bad considering that you do everything the work for sixty percent of the
- 1:07:48money. But this show will not be around without you, mister Davis,
- 1:07:54of course. But but yeah, so if you could spoise on Patroon,
- 1:07:56that would be fantastic. When you get access to tales of you, Jerama,
- 1:07:59speaking of the Hill, talking Seinfeld and hemmy reviews, access to a
- 1:08:01Facebook group, and so much more. But next episode is going to be
- 1:08:03mo in Lisa. This has been g I dope, mister Davis. Any
- 1:08:06final words for those amazing listeners out there Frontline Inventory sh
