- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome back. Time once again to catch up with Country Weekly,
- 0:09Speaker 1: where we check out news and gossip from that world
- 0:12Speaker 1: of country music. I'm your host, Ken Dawkins, as always,
- 0:16Speaker 1: and I will be reading from various sources found online. Now,
- 0:20Speaker 1: as a reminder, Radio Eye is a reading service intended
- 0:23Speaker 1: for people who are blind or have other disabilities that
- 0:26Speaker 1: make it difficult to read printed material. We'll begin with
- 0:30Speaker 1: the first article dated October 5th. And this is from countrynow.com.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Lainey Wilson, Ella Langley, Vince Gill, and more to perform
- 0:41Speaker 1: in Dolly Parton tribute. Some of country music's biggest names
- 0:45Speaker 1: are coming together to celebrate the life of Dolly Parton
- 0:49Speaker 1: and her legendary career. This week, the Country Music Association
- 0:53Speaker 1: announced that star-powered lineup of artists who have been tapped
- 0:56Speaker 1: to perform in CMA Presents I Will Always Love You,
- 0:59Speaker 1: a celebration of Dolly Parton, to our live television tribute
- 1:03Speaker 1: to Dolly. After losing such an important figure to the
- 1:07Speaker 1: world on August 25th, the Nashville community has shared plans
- 1:11Speaker 1: to unite artists from multiple generations and genres in her honor.
- 1:15Speaker 1: The lineup includes a mix of fellow Country Music Hall
- 1:18Speaker 1: of Fame members, country music superstars, and celebrated bluegrass acts
- 1:22Speaker 1: Broadway and beyond, all with the goal of remembering the
- 1:25Speaker 1: lasting impact Parton has had throughout her career. The news
- 1:30Speaker 1: broke on ABC's Good Morning America, revealing performers Ashley McBride,
- 1:34Speaker 1: Bella Fleck, Brad Paisley, Carly Pierce, Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker,
- 1:39Speaker 1: Ella Langley, Kelsey Ballerini, Kristen Bell, Kristen Chenoweth, Lady A,
- 1:44Speaker 1: Laney Wilson, Little Big Town, Lucas Nelson, Molly Tuttle, Reba McIntyre,
- 1:49Speaker 1: Ricky Skaggs, Sierra Hull, Vince Gill, and Zach Brown. Additionally,
- 1:54Speaker 1: with Amy Grant and Kimberly Williams Paisley, they will join
- 1:57Speaker 1: as special guests. With the show being filmed at Belmont University,
- 2:01Speaker 1: viewers will also see a student ensemble take the stage
- 2:04Speaker 1: as a way to represent the university's ongoing Dolly U
- 2:07Speaker 1: programming that seeks to engage students in learning from Parton's career, artistry,
- 2:12Speaker 1: and entrepreneurial legacy. The special will also feature surprise tributes
- 2:17Speaker 1: from some of Dolly Parton's friends and longtime connections throughout
- 2:21Speaker 1: the entertainment industry. The magic of CMA Presents I Will
- 2:25Speaker 1: Always Love You, a celebration of Dolly Parton, will unfold
- 2:29Speaker 1: on Wednesday, October 21st, 9 to 11 p.m. Eastern on
- 2:33Speaker 1: ABC and Disney Plus in the U.S. and internationally. Filmed
- 2:37Speaker 1: before a live audience at Belmont University's Fisher Center for
- 2:40Speaker 1: the Performing Arts in Nashville, the special will also be
- 2:43Speaker 1: available to stream the next day on Hulu. As part
- 2:47Speaker 1: of the special, the CMA and Belmont University will donate
- 2:50Speaker 1: a portion of the proceeds to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Disney will also support the organization and its mission to
- 2:57Speaker 1: inspire children to dream big and develop a lifelong love
- 3:01Speaker 1: of reading. Next, Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum put a
- 3:06Speaker 1: country disco spin on Roseanne Cash's Seven Year Ache. Following
- 3:11Speaker 1: the October 2nd release of Miranda Lambert's new album Crisco,
- 3:16Speaker 1: the country star surprised fans with a new collaboration featuring
- 3:19Speaker 1: fellow Texas native Parker McCollum. The pair teamed up for
- 3:22Speaker 1: a fresh take on Roseanne Cash's 1981 hit Seven Year Ache,
- 3:26Speaker 1: offering a version that celebrates the timelessness of the classic
- 3:29Speaker 1: song while also adding a touch of the country disco
- 3:33Speaker 1: flair that Lambert has been exploring in this chapter of
- 3:35Speaker 1: her career. The Just Drop track is available exclusively when
- 3:40Speaker 1: fans download Crisco on iTunes. To me, this song fits
- 3:44Speaker 1: right in the sweet spot of the country disco sound,
- 3:46Speaker 1: and I love any excuse to sing with Parker McCollum,
- 3:49Speaker 1: Lambert admitted on social media. Lambert and McCollum's distinct styles
- 3:53Speaker 1: unite effortlessly, depict the story of someone who is struggling
- 3:57Speaker 1: to come out of pain of a failed relationship by
- 4:00Speaker 1: spending nights out at bars and looking for distractions rather
- 4:03Speaker 1: than confronting what they're feeling. This collaboration marked yet another
- 4:07Speaker 1: opportunity for Lambert to work alongside McCollum, someone she's already
- 4:10Speaker 1: joined forces with on past occasions and projects. The two
- 4:14Speaker 1: previously collaborated on Santa Fe from Lambert's postcards from Texas
- 4:19Speaker 1: and have performed together several times, including the 2025 Band
- 4:23Speaker 1: Together Texas benefit concert, which raised over $ 8. 5 million for
- 4:27Speaker 1: flood relief efforts in their home state. I love making
- 4:31Speaker 1: music with Parker because he's the real deal, said Lambert.
- 4:34Speaker 1: He's such a natural artist and has the thing you
- 4:36Speaker 1: can't teach. He is authentically himself, and you can feel
- 4:39Speaker 1: that in his music. The Burn It Down singer echoed
- 4:42Speaker 1: Lambert's statement, claiming she's always been a big inspiration to
- 4:45Speaker 1: him as he's watched her journey from Texas to Nashville.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Not only is she one of the most incredible songwriters
- 4:52Speaker 1: we've got, but is also hands down one of my
- 4:54Speaker 1: favorite country voices ever. I'm honored any time I get
- 4:57Speaker 1: the chance to work with and learn from her, he adds.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Miranda Lambert will continue celebrating Crisco this week when she
- 5:04Speaker 1: returns home to deliver a sold-out album release show at
- 5:07Speaker 1: Billy Bob's in Texas. Next, John Party forced to postpone
- 5:13Speaker 1: two shows as he fights through illness. John Party is
- 5:17Speaker 1: postponing his upcoming shows in Macon, Georgia and Biloxi, Mississippi
- 5:21Speaker 1: after revealing he is too sick to take the stage
- 5:24Speaker 1: for his remaining shows over the weekend. The country star
- 5:27Speaker 1: took to social media on Friday sharing a video message
- 5:30Speaker 1: that explains he is feeling very sick and felt rescheduling
- 5:33Speaker 1: the two shows was the best option rather than take
- 5:36Speaker 1: the stage and risk not giving his best possible performance. Unfortunately,
- 5:41Speaker 1: this is news I don't like giving. I'm going to
- 5:43Speaker 1: have to reschedule Macon and Biloxi this weekend. I'm very sick,
- 5:46Speaker 1: he admitted. Party performed in Wilmington, North Carolina Thursday night,
- 5:50Speaker 1: but said he was barely able to make it through
- 5:52Speaker 1: the performance. I gave it all I had last night,
- 5:55Speaker 1: and I want to be 100% for everybody, so I apologize.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I know you've probably got hotels, babysitters, and I want
- 6:02Speaker 1: to get the news out as soon as possible to
- 6:04Speaker 1: not have you guys drive everywhere. Apologizing once again, Party
- 6:08Speaker 1: reiterated how he did not want to take the stage
- 6:10Speaker 1: while struggling sick, coughing up music, and blowing my nose.
- 6:14Speaker 1: He added that it's been tough trying to overcome the
- 6:16Speaker 1: sickness while pushing through on the road. The California native
- 6:20Speaker 1: was originally scheduled to bring his gambling man tour to
- 6:22Speaker 1: Atrium Health Amphitheater on October 2nd in Macon, followed by
- 6:27Speaker 1: the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on the 3rd. I appreciate all
- 6:30Speaker 1: of you and thanks for understanding, and like I said,
- 6:32Speaker 1: we're working on getting rescheduled dates, so hold on to
- 6:35Speaker 1: your tickets. The Gamblin' Man Tour launched on September 17th
- 6:39Speaker 1: and is slated to continue through November, with the final
- 6:42Speaker 1: show taking place in Independence, Missouri. Joining John Pardee on
- 6:46Speaker 1: the run is Alexander Kay and Sadie Bass. Moving along,
- 6:51Speaker 1: Wynonna Judd says new album The Hard Truth saved my
- 6:55Speaker 1: life and saved my sanity. Wynonna Judd has spent her
- 6:59Speaker 1: life telling stories through her music, but with her new
- 7:01Speaker 1: album The Hard Truth, she's opening up like never before.
- 7:05Speaker 1: It feels both exhilarating and terrifying, Judd shared with Country
- 7:08Speaker 1: Now over Zoom a few days before the album's release.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I'm telling my story unlike anything I've ever said before.
- 7:15Speaker 1: I'm going for it. The Hard Truth is more than
- 7:18Speaker 1: just a title. The sentiment embodies the entire record, which
- 7:21Speaker 1: marks Judd's first solo album in 10 years and features
- 7:25Speaker 1: her first-ever album co-writes. She had a hand in writing
- 7:28Speaker 1: nine of the album's 10 songs with her husband, Cactus Moser,
- 7:32Speaker 1: and a few other collaborators using the music to confront
- 7:35Speaker 1: some of the most painful and defining experiences of her life.
- 7:39Speaker 1: The country music icon felt called to tackle the highs
- 7:42Speaker 1: and lows of her life through these songs, getting more
- 7:45Speaker 1: personal and diving deeper than ever before. The album takes
- 7:49Speaker 1: listeners through different chapters of Judd's life, beginning with the
- 7:52Speaker 1: complicated relationship she shared with her mother and the process
- 7:55Speaker 1: of figuring out who she was outside of that relationship.
- 7:59Speaker 1: As the record continues, She turns the focus inward, reflecting
- 8:02Speaker 1: on the life she has built for herself and the
- 8:05Speaker 1: person she is still becoming. The survivor of a lot
- 8:08Speaker 1: of trauma and how many other people can relate to
- 8:10Speaker 1: this stuff I wrote about, I don't know, but I'll
- 8:12Speaker 1: find out. And I'm not a victim, I'm a victor.
- 8:16Speaker 1: After spending time reflecting on what she had been through,
- 8:19Speaker 1: Judd explained that making this album felt like a necessary
- 8:22Speaker 1: step for her following the death of her mother and
- 8:24Speaker 1: duo partner, Naomi, back in 2022. I think this is
- 8:28Speaker 1: the next step after Mom Dying, me coming to terms
- 8:31Speaker 1: with the issues that are on the record with my daughter,
- 8:34Speaker 1: my biological father, my mother, and sometimes I feel like
- 8:37Speaker 1: I'm not going to make it if I don't continue
- 8:39Speaker 1: to write and do these things. For Judd, writing and
- 8:42Speaker 1: recording these songs became a form of therapy, allowing her
- 8:46Speaker 1: to process the emotions and experiences she had been carrying
- 8:49Speaker 1: with her. It saved my life, really. It saved my sanity,
- 8:53Speaker 1: she admitted. The hard truth would not have been possible
- 8:56Speaker 1: without her husband, co-writer and producer Cactus Moser, who encouraged
- 9:00Speaker 1: her to be more vulnerable than ever before. But allowing
- 9:04Speaker 1: herself to be that vulnerable was not always easy. It
- 9:07Speaker 1: was hard at times, though, too. I struggled a lot
- 9:10Speaker 1: with wanting to be so vulnerable. I was just like, oh,
- 9:12Speaker 1: I don't know if I should, is it okay? Okay, God,
- 9:15Speaker 1: what do I do with this? This is a lot.
- 9:17Speaker 1: And I just tried to do it with grace. Moser, however,
- 9:20Speaker 1: never tried to steer Judd away from the difficult places. Instead,
- 9:24Speaker 1: he encouraged her to trust herself and tell her story.
- 9:28Speaker 1: He was like, honey, this is your story. Tell your story.
- 9:31Speaker 1: He was my biggest advocate, she recalled. The two have
- 9:34Speaker 1: been partners in both life and music for years, but
- 9:36Speaker 1: making the hard truth brought a different level of vulnerability
- 9:39Speaker 1: to their relationship. Judd said Moser challenged her at times,
- 9:43Speaker 1: but always gave her the space to process her perspective
- 9:46Speaker 1: and ultimately make her own decisions. He had a way
- 9:49Speaker 1: of saying, this is what I think, and then letting
- 9:51Speaker 1: me process that and decide that that's true. In fact,
- 9:56Speaker 1: it was Moser who encouraged her to write the deeply
- 9:58Speaker 1: personal Girl Who Could Sing. after her biological father's family
- 10:02Speaker 1: discovered a drawer full of newspaper clippings about her after
- 10:05Speaker 1: his passing. I told my husband that, and he said,
- 10:08Speaker 1: that's a song, honey. Judd and Moser co-wrote the song
- 10:12Speaker 1: with Clara Calloway, Melissa Ferret, and Brant Colella, After his
- 10:17Speaker 1: writing session and about three or four others, Judd recalls
- 10:19Speaker 1: sensing a pattern. It just made sense to write these songs,
- 10:23Speaker 1: she said. On some level, I just knew that this
- 10:25Speaker 1: was the time to do this record. What would you
- 10:27Speaker 1: do if you knew you couldn't fail, was my motto
- 10:30Speaker 1: about this record. What would I do? I would tell
- 10:32Speaker 1: the truth, my truth, my testimony. Ashley's had a book,
- 10:36Speaker 1: Mom's had a book, I've had a book, but this
- 10:38Speaker 1: is definitely different. Of the album's tracks, Judd says Broken
- 10:41Speaker 1: and Blessed is the most vulnerable. That's me standing up
- 10:45Speaker 1: in front of the church giving my testimony, literally stripping
- 10:48Speaker 1: down naked and just standing there and going, OK, here
- 10:51Speaker 1: I am. I'm broken and blessed. I'm somewhere between hell
- 10:54Speaker 1: and hallelujah. That's every day of my life. I'm raising
- 10:57Speaker 1: a four-year-old with my sweet husband, and we are on tour,
- 11:00Speaker 1: and we're working on a book and a cookbook and
- 11:02Speaker 1: all the stuff that we're doing, and I'm not going
- 11:04Speaker 1: to quit. I'm going to keep on trucking through the storm. Meanwhile,
- 11:08Speaker 1: the project's lead single, Kentucky Queen, paints an autobiographical picture
- 11:12Speaker 1: of her life. from when she was a young girl
- 11:15Speaker 1: growing up in the bluegrass to the woman she is
- 11:17Speaker 1: today at 62. I grew up in the dirt. That's
- 11:21Speaker 1: really who I am. I grew up in the dirt,
- 11:23Speaker 1: and then years later, I'm standing at the Kentucky Derby
- 11:26Speaker 1: with my glory outfit on, singing the national anthem at
- 11:29Speaker 1: the Derby, and I'm standing there looking at 100,000 people going,
- 11:33Speaker 1: how did this happen? So it really is who I am.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Kentucky Queen is taking me back to my roots, going
- 11:39Speaker 1: back to my childhood, dealing with all that happened there,
- 11:42Speaker 1: and then coming up into this who I am today.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Throughout The Hard Truth, Judge Resilience truly stands out. Looking back,
- 11:50Speaker 1: she says she feels a sense of pride in the
- 11:51Speaker 1: fact that she was willing to go places she hadn't
- 11:54Speaker 1: gone before and show up when she thought she didn't
- 11:57Speaker 1: have it in her. There were days when I thought
- 11:59Speaker 1: I couldn't do it, which everybody goes through. Everybody goes through,
- 12:02Speaker 1: and I'm no different, so it's not like I have
- 12:04Speaker 1: this perfectly planned life. I went through days where I thought,
- 12:08Speaker 1: I don't know if I can take this or not.
- 12:10Speaker 1: This is so deep, but yet I showed up. Winona
- 12:13Speaker 1: Judd will bring the hard truth to fans on her
- 12:15Speaker 1: The Hard Truth Tour, kicking off October 8th in New
- 12:19Speaker 1: York City. The trek runs through November 21st. Now we
- 12:24Speaker 1: slide on over to the Lexington Herald-Leader from an article
- 12:28Speaker 1: written by Valerie Honeycutt Spears on October 6th. Billy Ray
- 12:32Speaker 1: Cyrus calls singing at slain Kentucky trooper's funeral his highest honor.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Country music artist Billy Ray Cyrus on a Monday Facebook
- 12:42Speaker 1: post said he had the highest honor ever in my
- 12:44Speaker 1: entire life, returning to my home state of Kentucky yesterday
- 12:48Speaker 1: to pay tribute to trooper Hayden Phillips and sing Some
- 12:52Speaker 1: Gave All. Cyrus posted photos from the day, including before
- 12:56Speaker 1: the service when he met Phillips' wife Jordan and their
- 12:59Speaker 1: son Knox. Jordan was telling me in that moment that
- 13:02Speaker 1: Merle Haggard was Hayden's absolute favorite, She went on to
- 13:06Speaker 1: tell me about his tattoo. Heroes get remembered, but legends
- 13:09Speaker 1: never die, Cyrus said. Kentucky State Police Commissioner Philip Burnett Jr.
- 13:14Speaker 1: read the same line from the sandlot, words Phillips lived by,
- 13:18Speaker 1: at the funeral in Western Kentucky University's campus in Bowling
- 13:21Speaker 1: Green on October 4th. As we know, Phillips died in
- 13:25Speaker 1: the line of duty September 28th during a routine traffic
- 13:28Speaker 1: stop on Interstate 65 in Warren County. Louisville Metro police
- 13:33Speaker 1: officers arrested Imoni Branch, 51, of Tennessee in Louisville after
- 13:37Speaker 1: an extended manhunt. The Warren County Grand Jury indicted Branch
- 13:41Speaker 1: October 1st on charges of murder of a first responder,
- 13:45Speaker 1: possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and tampering
- 13:48Speaker 1: with physical evidence. Now on to saving country music with
- 13:53Speaker 1: the article dated October 4th. Original Flatland Cavalry member Jonathan
- 13:58Speaker 1: Saines no longer with the band. Bass player and original
- 14:02Speaker 1: member of the three-time Academy of Country Music-nominated Flatland Cavalry
- 14:06Speaker 1: is no longer with the band, according to numerous sources.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Jonathan Sands does not appear in the recent promotional photos
- 14:13Speaker 1: of the band, and he was not on tour with
- 14:15Speaker 1: the band when they opened recently for Casey Musgraves. His
- 14:18Speaker 1: name has also been moved to past members on the
- 14:21Speaker 1: band's Wikipedia page. It appears Sands played his last show
- 14:25Speaker 1: with the band on or around August 17th at the
- 14:28Speaker 1: Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels, Texas. Neither the band nor
- 14:32Speaker 1: Sains has addressed the departure publicly. Saving Country Music reached
- 14:36Speaker 1: out to representatives of Flatland Cavalry for confirmation or more information,
- 14:40Speaker 1: but those requests were not responded to. Cleto Cordero started
- 14:45Speaker 1: Flatland Cavalry with drummer Jason Alvarez, guitarist Reed Dillon, fiddle
- 14:49Speaker 1: player Laura Jane, and Jonathan Sains back in 2014. Laura
- 14:54Speaker 1: Jane left the band in 2018 and was replaced by
- 14:57Speaker 1: Wesley Hall. Multi-instrumentalist Adam Gallegos joined the band in 2020.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Guitarist John Marlin has also been playing with the band
- 15:05Speaker 1: in concert recently. At the shows, Flatland Cavalry played opening
- 15:09Speaker 1: for Casey Musgraves at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on
- 15:12Speaker 1: September 27th and 28th. Producer Dwight A. Baker was seen
- 15:17Speaker 1: playing bass. Baker has produced much of Flatland's music. Flatland
- 15:22Speaker 1: Cavalry has just released a deluxe version of their latest
- 15:24Speaker 1: album called Work of Heart, Heartstrings. That's on October 2nd.
- 15:29Speaker 1: and that includes five new songs. Originally from West Texas,
- 15:33Speaker 1: the band continues to receive a lot of national exposure
- 15:36Speaker 1: by getting on big opening slots and being nominated for
- 15:39Speaker 1: big awards. Now a brief stop at countrycentral.com. First article
- 15:45Speaker 1: dated October 2nd, Cameron Marlowe reveals self-titled third album. Cameron
- 15:50Speaker 1: Marlowe will release his third studio album, Cameron Marlowe, on
- 15:54Speaker 1: January 22nd. Marlowe revealed the project Thursday night with a
- 15:58Speaker 1: surprise performance on the rooftop of Luke's 32 Bridge above
- 16:02Speaker 1: Nashville's Broadway. He played No Need for Leavin', I Won't,
- 16:06Speaker 1: and his newly released single, Take You Down With Me.
- 16:10Speaker 1: A 22-foot banner displayed during the performance read, If You
- 16:13Speaker 1: Don't Know My Name, Now You Do, Cameron Marlowe. The album,
- 16:17Speaker 1: January 22nd. The event was staged as both a live
- 16:21Speaker 1: performance and a short film, An announcement film is available
- 16:24Speaker 1: on Instagram, and a music video for Take You Down
- 16:26Speaker 1: With Me is also out. Marlowe co-produced the album with
- 16:30Speaker 1: Austin Goodloe. His team describes it as a statement of
- 16:33Speaker 1: redemption and rebirth, with Marlowe's vocals at the center. Influences
- 16:38Speaker 1: cited include The War on Drugs, Kings of Leon, Gary
- 16:42Speaker 1: Clark Jr., Leonard Skinner, The Allman Brothers Band, and John Mayer.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Pre-saves are open. Marlowe is currently on the road with
- 16:49Speaker 1: Ella Langley for the second leg of the Dandelion Tour
- 16:52Speaker 1: this fall. Next, we stop by Holler.com, October 2nd, for
- 16:57Speaker 1: the article, The Country Music World's Healing, Gavin Adcock and
- 17:00Speaker 1: Charlie Crockett Finally Squashed Their Beef. After a long-standing feud
- 17:06Speaker 1: and a very public war of words, Gavin Adcock and
- 17:09Speaker 1: Charlie Crockett have shocked the country music world by announcing
- 17:12Speaker 1: they've squashed their beef. The duo have revealed that they
- 17:16Speaker 1: met up for a drinkery, seemingly, at the stage on
- 17:18Speaker 1: Broadway in Nashville, with Adcock and Crockett both sharing photos
- 17:22Speaker 1: of them laughing together. Adcock captioned his post by underlining that,
- 17:26Speaker 1: even though they might not agree on every issue, this
- 17:29Speaker 1: doesn't mean they can't get along. We might not always
- 17:32Speaker 1: see eye to eye, but that don't mean we can't
- 17:34Speaker 1: drop our pride and bull and be friends. Crockett kept
- 17:38Speaker 1: his caption relatively brief, commenting simply, the country music world's
- 17:41Speaker 1: healing you all. alongside the image of he and Adcock
- 17:44Speaker 1: drinking and joking around. After Florida Georgia Line's reunion this summer,
- 17:49Speaker 1: it seems 2026 is the year of reconciliation. The feud
- 17:54Speaker 1: between the two started out of the blue last summer
- 17:57Speaker 1: after Adcock shared a video of him criticizing Beyoncé' s Cowboy
- 18:01Speaker 1: Carter album and questioning how country it was. Crockett responded
- 18:05Speaker 1: by defending Beyoncé' s foray into the genre and sending a
- 18:08Speaker 1: few not-so-subtle shots at the mainstream country music scene. This
- 18:13Speaker 1: led to a number of jabs sent back and forth online,
- 18:16Speaker 1: with Adcock later mocking Crockett with a video of him
- 18:18Speaker 1: busking on the subway before Crockett underlined that he doesn't
- 18:22Speaker 1: have anything to be ashamed of about and with regards
- 18:24Speaker 1: to his start in music. There are various other thinly-veiled shots,
- 18:29Speaker 1: such as Adcock bringing out a photo of Crockett at
- 18:32Speaker 1: one of Wallen's tour stops and Wallen showing the T,
- 18:35Speaker 1: the middle finger, as well as the moment Crockett left
- 18:38Speaker 1: Adcock roses in one of his vinyls at a venue.
- 18:41Speaker 1: There were also numerous clashes over each other's artist portrayal
- 18:44Speaker 1: of their faith, with Crockett questioning the sincerity of Adcock's
- 18:48Speaker 1: Jesus-inspired ode, Perfect Man. It all became intertwined with Adcock's
- 18:53Speaker 1: various other feuds with the likes of Benjamin Todd and
- 18:55Speaker 1: Zach Bryan, with the wannabe hitmaker never shying away from
- 18:59Speaker 1: a verbal sparring. Now, thankfully, it seems Adcock and Crockett
- 19:03Speaker 1: have put their animosity to bed. As much as fans
- 19:07Speaker 1: online might enjoy the drama when two artists start beefing,
- 19:10Speaker 1: as we saw with Drake and Kendrick Lamar's notorious large-scale
- 19:14Speaker 1: rap war back in 2024. In reality, these are still
- 19:18Speaker 1: human beings we're talking about. Peace and kindness is surely
- 19:21Speaker 1: always the better option, and we're glad to see Adcock
- 19:23Speaker 1: and Crockett proving this. Next, you are my best friend.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Tim McGraw shares heartfelt wedding anniversary tribute to Faith Hill.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Tim McGraw has taken to social media to share a
- 19:35Speaker 1: heartwarming montage of him and his wife Faith Hill as
- 19:39Speaker 1: the two country chart-toppers celebrate 30 years of marriage. Alongside
- 19:44Speaker 1: a moving video, Tim makes it clear how much he
- 19:46Speaker 1: adores Faith. 30 years today, 30 years of our marriage.
- 19:50Speaker 1: That day, October 6th, 1996, under an old locust tree,
- 19:54Speaker 1: I think, in my aunt's backyard in Rayville, Louisiana. I
- 19:57Speaker 1: stood there and watched my future walk towards me with
- 20:00Speaker 1: the sweetest man I've ever known, her father, Ted. He
- 20:04Speaker 1: goes on, in front of our closest family and friends,
- 20:07Speaker 1: I was bound to the most beautiful soul. a lady
- 20:09Speaker 1: that was glowing in my eyes, expanding in my heart,
- 20:12Speaker 1: and giving me all the love she had. I was
- 20:15Speaker 1: and still am bewildered by her capacity to love, forgive, nurture,
- 20:18Speaker 1: and be full of joy and laughter. She is a
- 20:21Speaker 1: gift to the world for sure. However, for us, we
- 20:23Speaker 1: get her, all of her, and I and my girls
- 20:26Speaker 1: know who is ours completely. It's difficult to describe what
- 20:30Speaker 1: she means. She is the center of gravity to my
- 20:32Speaker 1: life and our girls' lives and anyone who knows Audrey
- 20:36Speaker 1: Faith McGraw. I love you, baby. The Louisiana native warmly concludes,
- 20:41Speaker 1: you are my best friend, my lover, my wife, my shelter,
- 20:44Speaker 1: and my every storm. And the sunrise afterwards, and many
- 20:47Speaker 1: more sunrises and sunsets. Many more beautiful memories to come.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I am a fortunate man. Now on to the next
- 20:55Speaker 1: subway stop, people.com, where Tucker Wetmore hilariously dodges fan questions
- 21:01Speaker 1: about dating Ella Langley, dated October 6th. Tucker Wetmore isn't
- 21:06Speaker 1: looking to share details of his relationship with Ella Langley
- 21:09Speaker 1: at the moment. After the two country stars first sparked
- 21:13Speaker 1: romance rumors around a year ago, multiple sources confirmed to
- 21:16Speaker 1: People last month that they're dating. A fan asked Wetmore
- 21:20Speaker 1: about the relationship during a Q & A before his
- 21:22Speaker 1: performance at Wave in Wichita, Kansas on Friday, October 2nd,
- 21:27Speaker 1: and the brunette singer hilariously dodged the question. As the
- 21:31Speaker 1: fan brought up the rumor going around about him and
- 21:33Speaker 1: the chosen Texas singer, According to a video of the
- 21:35Speaker 1: moment on TikTok, Wetmore began singing a line from Lee
- 21:39Speaker 1: Bryce's 2018 hit, Rumor. The fan directly asked if the
- 21:43Speaker 1: two musicians are a thing, and Wetmore26 responded, Next question.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Last month, Wetmore and Langley27 were seen leaving the Nashville
- 21:52Speaker 1: Songwriter Awards together through a side door at the Ryman Auditorium,
- 21:56Speaker 1: according to photos published by none other than TMZ. A
- 22:01Speaker 1: rep for Wetmore and Langley didn't respond to people's request
- 22:04Speaker 1: for comment at the time. The performers first sparked dating
- 22:07Speaker 1: rumors when they were photographed together at the Soggy Dollar
- 22:10Speaker 1: Bar in the British Virgin Islands in December of 2025.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Wetmore and Langley then performed an acoustic duet of his
- 22:17Speaker 1: song Sunburn at a Heartstrings for Hope charity event in
- 22:21Speaker 1: March of this year. Both stars are experiencing major successes,
- 22:25Speaker 1: of course, at the moment. Langley recently broke the record
- 22:28Speaker 1: for longest-running number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100
- 22:31Speaker 1: as her song Choose in Texas spent 23 weeks at
- 22:34Speaker 1: the top of the chart. Today doesn't feel like a
- 22:37Speaker 1: real thing, she said of achievement on Instagram. It feels
- 22:40Speaker 1: fake and somebody's going to come in and be like,
- 22:42Speaker 1: ha ha, we're kidding the whole time. We're just kidding.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Wetmore recently earned a top 40 hit on Billboard Hot
- 22:48Speaker 1: 100 with his song Brunette. He's currently in the midst
- 22:51Speaker 1: of his Brunette World Tour, which concludes at the end
- 22:54Speaker 1: of the month with a show at Red Rocks Amphitheater
- 22:57Speaker 1: in Morrison, Colorado. Now with matching socks, we put on
- 23:01Speaker 1: the boot. As we move over to theboot.com, October 6th,
- 23:05Speaker 1: first article, Brian Kelly and Tyler Hubbard had a lot
- 23:08Speaker 1: to heal before Florida Georgia Lions reunion. Florida Georgia Lions
- 23:13Speaker 1: reunion didn't happen overnight. Before Brian Kelly and Tyler Hubbard
- 23:18Speaker 1: stepped back on stage together, there was a lot of
- 23:20Speaker 1: private healing behind the scenes. Brittany Kelly recently opened up
- 23:24Speaker 1: about that process on Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley, sharing new
- 23:27Speaker 1: details about the weekend that brought the two former bandmates
- 23:30Speaker 1: and their wives back together. What started with a hike
- 23:34Speaker 1: between Brian and Tyler eventually turned into several days in Idaho,
- 23:38Speaker 1: and according to Brittany, years' worth of hurt began to
- 23:41Speaker 1: heal in just five days. FGL split back in 2022
- 23:45Speaker 1: after years of success, of course, but it sparked plenty
- 23:48Speaker 1: of speculation about what went wrong between the longtime friends
- 23:51Speaker 1: and bandmates. Brittany says things are now in a very,
- 23:55Speaker 1: very different place. Today, current day, we're in a really
- 23:58Speaker 1: good place. We've had really good healing conversations, she said,
- 24:02Speaker 1: adding Jesus literally brought us all four together. She explained
- 24:06Speaker 1: that the healing started last November when Tyler reached out
- 24:09Speaker 1: to Brian and asked him to go on a hike.
- 24:11Speaker 1: The conversation was significant because Brian and Tyler's relationship went
- 24:15Speaker 1: back long before Florida Georgia Line. They grew up together,
- 24:19Speaker 1: led worship together, and wrote songs together before forming a duo.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I think they just reconnected in a way that really
- 24:25Speaker 1: only God can do After the hike, Tyler and Haley
- 24:29Speaker 1: Hubbard invited Brian and Brittany to their home in Idaho,
- 24:32Speaker 1: who had a week of healing, Brittany said. It felt
- 24:35Speaker 1: like years worth of healing in five days. She said
- 24:38Speaker 1: there was a moment when she and Haley realized just
- 24:40Speaker 1: how quickly things had changed. There was a moment that
- 24:43Speaker 1: Haley and I had like we were like, this is
- 24:45Speaker 1: by the grace of God. Neither one of us felt
- 24:48Speaker 1: like we could feel it that quickly again. Brittany also
- 24:52Speaker 1: shared a lighter moment from the trip. Tyler was apparently
- 24:54Speaker 1: so excited to have his friendship with Brian back that
- 24:57Speaker 1: he wanted to ride a tandem bike with him throughout
- 25:00Speaker 1: the entire vacation. The private rebuilding came before fans got
- 25:04Speaker 1: to see the reunion publicly, including when Brian and Tyler
- 25:07Speaker 1: performed together at CMA Fest 2026. Now, FGL has announced
- 25:13Speaker 1: its 2027 Anything Goes Again Festival Tour, with 12 festival
- 25:18Speaker 1: stops planned. Stagecoach was announced first, followed by the Carolina
- 25:22Speaker 1: County Music Festival, X-Roads 41, and Windy City Smokeout. So far,
- 25:28Speaker 1: the reunited duo was focused on revisiting the hits that
- 25:31Speaker 1: made them one of country music's biggest acts, rather than
- 25:34Speaker 1: announcing new music. Next, Alan Jackson's final show is now
- 25:40Speaker 1: the highest-grossing concert in history. Alan Jackson's final concert was
- 25:45Speaker 1: already an unforgettable night for country music, but the numbers
- 25:48Speaker 1: are now making it a piece of music history. Jackson's
- 25:52Speaker 1: last call, One More for the Road, the finale, took
- 25:55Speaker 1: over Nashville's Nissan Stadium on June 27th, bringing together some
- 25:59Speaker 1: of the biggest names in country music for the legendary
- 26:01Speaker 1: singer's final show. Now, according to a new report, that
- 26:06Speaker 1: farewell has officially broken a massive concert record. According to
- 26:10Speaker 1: touring data, a leading concert tracker on X, formerly Twitter,
- 26:15Speaker 1: Jackson's final Nashville show grossed $ 34. 729 million. That makes it
- 26:20Speaker 1: the highest-grossing single concert in history, according to the report,
- 26:25Speaker 1: The average ticket price was over $ 600, with over 56,000 sold,
- 26:30Speaker 1: and the show will air later this year on NBC.
- 26:34Speaker 1: It's also reportedly the first single-show concert ever to gross
- 26:37Speaker 1: more than $ 30 million. Multi-night concert runs can generate larger totals,
- 26:43Speaker 1: including shows from artists such as Coldplay, Beyonce, and Harry Styles. However,
- 26:48Speaker 1: those figures come from multiple performances at the same venue.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Alan Jackson went out with a country music all-star cast.
- 26:55Speaker 1: As we remember, the June 27th concert brought a massive
- 26:58Speaker 1: lineup of country stars to Nissan Stadium to celebrate Jackson's career.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Eric Church, George Strait, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town,
- 27:08Speaker 1: Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson, and Leanne Womack were among the
- 27:12Speaker 1: artists who joined Jackson for the farewell. He used his
- 27:15Speaker 1: final show to revisit some of the songs that helped
- 27:17Speaker 1: define his career. He performed Chattahoochee, Drive for Daddy Gene,
- 27:22Speaker 1: Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning, and Remember When,
- 27:25Speaker 1: along with more than 20 other songs from his catalog.
- 27:29Speaker 1: It was a fittingly enormous send-off for a country superstar,
- 27:32Speaker 1: and now The Farewell has an equally enormous number attached
- 27:35Speaker 1: to it. And back to Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
- 27:38Speaker 1: as we conclude with their top five duets. Tim McGraw
- 27:42Speaker 1: and Faith Hill aren't just one of country music's longest-lasting couples,
- 27:45Speaker 1: as we mentioned, they're also one of the genre's most
- 27:47Speaker 1: successful duet pairings. Number five says the boot, Like We
- 27:51Speaker 1: Never Loved It All. Hill took a turn in a
- 27:53Speaker 1: slightly new direction for her 2005 Fireflies album. The second
- 27:57Speaker 1: single from the record, Like We Never Loved It All,
- 27:59Speaker 1: features McGraw on harmony vocals. Number four, Let's Make Love.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Hill was at the peak of her career when she
- 28:06Speaker 1: released her Breathe album back in 1999. Number three, Angry
- 28:11Speaker 1: All the Time. By the time he released Set This
- 28:14Speaker 1: Circus Down in 2001, McGraw was already building a resume
- 28:17Speaker 1: as one of country's most unpredictable artists. Number two, It's
- 28:22Speaker 1: Your Love. McGraw and Hill wasted no time in collaborating
- 28:25Speaker 1: after they wed in 1996. And the boot says the
- 28:28Speaker 1: number one duet, Meanwhile Back at Mama's. This concludes the
- 28:33Speaker 1: reading of Country Weekly for this week. If you have
- 28:35Speaker 1: any comments or suggestions about the program, kindly call us

- 28:43Speaker 1: of everyone here at Radio Eye, this is Ken Dawkins
